    « Seems recently updated »

While this was an older place, they seem to have updated the flooring and room furniture. The toilets remain and are very low, so taller folks will have to bend knees a bit. Quiet and clean. Breakfast area was a bit small, but selection was good. The parking lot is also a bit small. Seems to be crowded out by the Country Inn and Suites built adjacent to this building.

    « Very Nice Hotel »

This is a very nice clean and up to date hotel. Facilities are kept neat and clean, room was wonderful. They have a really good breakfast with all the essentials. The staff are all neat and portray a professional appearance and are very helpful with any questions.

    « Great Experience »

New mattresses, pillows, and bedding were very comfortable. Hallways and guest room had a ?clean? smell. Sheets were a high quality thread count and so relaxing after a long day on the road. This was a great experience, overall!

    « Very good! »

Solid business class hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room and amenities are all very good. The bath towels are small and scratchy but the shower is good. The TV doesn't have a 'guide' channel which is an inconvenience. The breakfast provided is near restaurant quality and is a highlight for this hotel. Overall, I'd rate this property as very good!

« Decent Place, A Half-Hour Frome The French Quarter »

The French Quarter was all booked up because of the Music Festival so we decided to give Slidell a try. The Best Western was our hotel for two nights. The room was very clean, spacious, in good repair, and except for the toilet, very comfortable. The toilet was one of those little short ones and was not made for 70+-year olds to comfortably get on and off of - but, being fairly thin and in reasonable shape, we managed. The hotel looked like it was in a safe location, surrounded mainly by other hotels, restaurants, and other businesses. The staff was friendly and helpful and there was a breakfast included in the price; nothing exceptional, but what you would expect from a mid-price hotel. The dining area, (like the lobby and business counter), was small and somewhat cramped, but we were able to find places to sit both mornings. We hoped to take advantage of the pool, but its location was between the parking lot and the entrance drive and not very private or appealing - I don't know where else they could have put it because the property was very small and barely fit the hotel and parking lot. Anyway, I couldn't give it five stars because nothing was really exceptional, just very adequate. We won't hesitate to stay here again when we just want a place to sleep between trips in to New Orleans.

    « Nice hotel »

We stayed overnight while traveling from state to state. The breakfast was awesome! The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was new, with nice modern look. The wifi was easy to access. We would stop here again.

« Perfect stop before NOLA »

Perfect stopping point after a long drive down to New Orleans. Convenient location just 30 minutes away, very clean and updated. Didn't like the sink and mirror separate from the bathroom, since we were traveling with others, but not a deal breaker. Priced right---I would definitely stay again.

Block of rooms for wedding party/guests/family.. The day of wedding canceled 3 rooms and blamed it on corporate office mix-up.. Very upset having reserved these rooms 8 months in advance in some cases..

« We are still looking for the ?Plus?... »

Ah, the Best Western ?Plus? in Slidell... We stayed here for 4 nights for a family visit to New Orleans (March 2018) Location was fine, price was a tad high. Staff was very friendly, but oh so many problems... We booked an ?accessible? room with 2 queen beds. Unfortunately, the room was designed by morons. We couldn't even get in the room because the bathroom door had been left open. With the bathroom door open, there wasn't enough room to get our wheelchair by the door to get to the rest of the room. Once in the room, you had to close the bathroom door, get real close to the exit door, open the bathroom door, then you could go in the bathroom. The tub was a modern marvel. I have never seen a tub with a shower and no tub spout. So taking a bath would take hours to fill up using the shower head. But dont try to use the assist rails to get back out, due to the structural cracks in the shower wall. Also, dont fall into the floor drain, no telling what diseases lived in there. Want a room with a view? Check out this one! Yes, that is the awning for the covered entrance... who needs to look outside anyway... Unless you want to scream ?SHUT-UP!!!? to all the construction workers that leave very loudly every morning between 4-4:30 AM. Not to mention the Rap Mogul 2 rooms down from us who decided to have a marijuana & hooker party one evening .. (thanks for the free contact high. My daughter loved her first illegal drug experience!) of course this was reported to hotel staff. They quickly addressed this illegal activity... by spraying tons of air freshener in the hallway... nice job! Beds, yes they have them. Comfortable, only if you like very hard beds or are used to sleeping on concrete. So hard, that I actually slept on 6 pillows one night. On the bright side, the facility was very clean. Rooms were cleaned well every day, although the staff regularly blocked the hallways which is hard for a chair user.. We never ate the free breakfast. It looked fine, normal hotel food. Nothing special to note. After drinking the free in-room coffee using tap water, we learned a valuable lesson. We then opted for Chick-Fil-A and Cracker Barrel each morning (DONT DRINK THE WATER!!!) Will we go back, not a chance. For $130 a night, we really expected alot more. Like I said, we never found the ?Plus? that they mentioned. Other gripes: the in room safe didnt work the hot water in the sink & shower took 9 minutes to warm up No extra blankets

« Welcoming and Accomodating Staff! »

I recently booked a room at this hotel using a third party website. I made the reservation for the same day at about 11pm, which caused a problem on the website and automatically listed "today" as the following day, I assume because we booked the room so close to midnight. Well, we called the third party website to sort things out and they were totally helpful. Then I attempted to call the Best Western-- wow, what a difference. The Best Western manager Britney was very warm and helpful. They worked quickly to help me out, even though the hotel was in no way at fault. The hotel spoke with me and Priceline separately about four different times, which is going above and beyond what they had to do. I eventually got refunded by the third party website, only because the Best Western was so persistently kind. I am grateful. With such professional, warm staff, I will certainly stay at this hotel the next time I make a trip to New Orleans. They turned a bad experience into a good experience. Thank you again, Britney!

    « Not a Plus »

We have stayed at many Best Western properties. Pros: Cordial night clerk, bed was good, large screen TV w/good channels, ok wi-fi, AC quiet. Cons: Towels were small, few and scratchy, no lotion provided in room, breakfast-stale muffins and bread, watered down eggs, fire alarm went off but no one notified us to leave room or gave any instructions or information as to why. Overall just not the quality we have experienced from Best Western Plus Hotels.

« Would stay here again »

Great hotel! Breakfast was fantastic! Biscuits were nice and warm, perfect for putting gravy over. Eggs were great, one day they were circle shaped next day they were triangle with cheese and peppers inside, yum! Staff was friendly and had told for Mardi Gras in New Orleans. There was a landline phone hanging on the wall in the bathroom, I've never seen that at a hotel. The room had there landlines. The only downside was the distance from New Orleans if you want to see parades, there are a few that are a couple blocks from the hotel.

    4
    « Nice stay! »

This Best Western offers clean rooms and good service. There is free parking and internet to all guests. It is centrally located right off the freeway. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the New Orleans area.

    5
    « Great Stay! »

While my wife was recovering from a medical emergency at the hospital, my daughter and I stayed with the Best Western hotel, which overall was a very good experience and convenient to the hospital, with many restaurants near by.

    « Overdue reconnect w/home! »

Mom's getting older, Ive lost sooo many influential people last year, and I just needed to be home again. So me & mom stole away for a quick pop up visit. Felt good being home w/familiar people, rules, & personalities. OMG, I could go to Walmart & buy liquor. On a Sunday. Before noon. King Cake, seafood, all my favorite restaurants. Basically, I visited most all I needed to see, put flowers on dad's grave, & realized just how much I'm missed & have been missing. Best Western was a convenient, familiar, comfy spot that provided stellar service for me to rest. Thanks, I can't wait to come back.

    5
    « Nice, accommodating hotel! »

Dennis was extremely helpful at the front desk with helping us with our reward points and very patient & friendly. Our room was very nice & clean. Breakfast was cheese grits, eggs, french toast sticks, hashbrowns, sausage, oatmeal, fruit, bagels, etc. We would definitely stay again. Quiet also. I would stay here again!

« Home away from home »

Always a great value and we have stayed here so many times it just feels like home. The breakfast is always delicious, fresh, and well stocked. The staff always very hospitable and helpful. The hotel is clean and conveniently located.

« Nice hotel. There credit card system is suspect »

Actually will not be certain if what was charged in my card. My bank says that my card was authorized. They say no they used 3 different cards when I was told they needed a second. Money was available on everyday. WAS LOCKED OUT OF MY ROOM bc of this. Other wise. Your basic 3 star hotel. Clean and decent accommodations Area has many places to eat or shop

« Second Stay, Just as Pleased as the First »

I stayed here during hurricane Irma when I fled from south Florida to use the time off to spend with my boyfriend in Slidell. It's great quality for the price and I have absolutely no complaints. It's quiet and the staff are courteous.

« Overnight stay before a cruise in NOLA »

Clean, friendly, comfy bed and well appointed room. A free breakfast bar. Also a small gym and outdoor pool (we stayed in December so we didn't use the pool) Easy off and on from I-59 We were on our way to the port of New Orleans for a cruise. It is thirty minutes from this motel. Perfect place to stop. Nice restaurants, shopping and Walmart nearby.

    4
« Nice people and good breakfast »

We stayed because our home had no electricity for the weekend because of snow. We had our kids with us. The rooms were clean, the price was good, but there was some noise in the hotel and would not allow us a late checkout the next day because we were not sure when the power would be on. There is a nice breakfast buffet included hat we enjoyed . Would stay again if necessary . Close to many reataurants. Pillows were nice but mattresses were pretty old.

    5
    « Pleasant Stay - Great Breakfast »

The room was very good, I loved having breakfast on the site. I had healthy choices. The bathroom had great water pressure (wonderful shower), and I liked the sink in the room instead of the bathtub area.

    5
    « Satisfied »

The rooms were clean and accommodating, location left a little to be desired just in a real congested area overall a satisfying experience, The front desk employees work for and would polite and friendly

    4
    « Extended Business Stay »

Stayed here for 4 weeks. Staff was very friendly and offered advice on restaurants and activities. Coffee was not the best, and breakfast was ok, but the hotel is right behind a Chick Fila. Room was clean and well maintained.

    5
« Perfect spot for a weekend getaway! »

Breakfast was delicious!! Rooms were super clean and very spacious. Would stay again. Didn't get to use the outdoor pool but it looked very clean. Staff was friendly. Supplied me with free razor and toothbrush/paste since I forgot mine.

    5
« Clean Hotel. Well maintained »

I stay in a lot of hotels & can say that they really try at this one. Very well done for the price. This is a great hotel to stay at. Comfortable beds, nice breakfast friendly staff. You can never judge a hotel by the people that stay at it, but you could tell that they try to accommodate everyone.

    1
    « Over night stay »

This was a horrible night. Three men came in to the room next to and were extremely loud, waking us up. They were continually talking extremely loud in a foreign language. We called the front desk to complain. The desk clerk called the room and they just laughed about it. The same three were at breakfast with the same attitude. I feel that they should have been evicted. We got no sleep after midnight. The desk clerk did not care. We talked to the manager the next morning, he seemed concerned and was going to consult with his boss. I wrote a poor review to Best Western. I got a reply from the Hotel Management saying they would try to do better in the future, but offered no compensation to me. I will not visit this hotel again. My rating is very poor overall.

    3
    « Nice clean hotel »

Nice hotel, close to freeway, free parking and free breakfast. Rooms are clean and breakfast had a decent variety. Location was nice with a variety of restaurants & gas stations nearby. Will stay again if we're in the area.

« Slidel Best Western Plus Awful!! »

Do not stay here we were disgusted with our room it stunk terribly! The very strong mold smell was causing us to get headaches and when we reported that and the urin smell on the floor the clerk acted like it was no big deal. Did not offer to check it out or move us to another room. And when we abruptly left she did not bother to ask why or offer any discount or refund! We pd 100 for that room and it was rated a 3 star! It is NOT worth that!!

    5
« Affordable Accomodation with Reach to NOLA »

I was actually impressed by this hotel. The presentation of the hotel was generally great. I appreciated the free breakfast, which was good. It seemed like there was no hot water dispenser for tea (had to ask for this personally). The staff overall were friendly and helpful.

    3
« Could Have Been Better »

The room as a bit cramped. The lobby was also rather small and had an odd layout. The parking lot was extremely tight. I was concerned several times while going in and out that I might hit someone else's car. The beds were ok. Overall pretty clean except for the vent in the bathroom by the toilet. It was caked with dust on the inside and looked liked it has never been cleaned. Seriously, it was really gross!! I did inform the front desk clerk. Staff was ok. The lady at check in was much friendlier than the gentlemen at check out. Don't get me wrong, he wasn't rude, mean, etc., just didn't have much of a personality. Can't say anything regarding breakfast as we did not consume any. Did have in room coffee, but we weren't impressed. Even though our stay was acceptable I'm not sure I would stay there again. I feel like the room size and overall quality of the hotel didn't justify the price we paid.

    5
    « 5 stars »

The hotel very quiet. Was well worth the money.Would stay again. The room was very clean . Would recommend this to friend. The staff was very friendly. The food was good as well. You can tell there trying to make a lot of improvements.

    3
    « Over night stay »

It is an older hotel, so we could see it was not in the best condition. Great location, near restaurants, gas stations, and easy access to the freeway. Good breakfast and great coffee! It was a bit pricey for the condition.

    4
    « Slidell area motel »

Driving through the parking lot is not easy , especially at night.. All else was as good as a motel can be . Food not great , but adequate . Saves a ot of time from having to leave for an outside restaurant .

    5
    « Great stay »

I had a great stay at this location! The only issues I had is the parking is kind of tight and so is the breakfast area. Just a little too cramped to try to fix breakfast. Even though our room wasn't ready when we arrived, Dennis was very pleasant and assured us that our room would be ready within the hour. Which it was. Thank you Dennis and staff!

    3
« Okay...but would not stay here again »

The staff was good and the rooms were fine. However, BW only offers one type of pillow and they need to change that. It is too fat for us. Also, in this hotel you can hear sound from a room above. The room upstairs from us had people coming in at 10 pm and stomping around until midnight...and then again starting at 6 am.

    4
    « Nice stop »

Good place . Easy access. They had nice clean rooms. But the ice machine on second floor was not working. The door to outside on right side of building didn't lock. I was impressed with the nice comfortable bed.

    4
    « Nice Place »

Staff was very helpful and friendly, Different hot breakfast everyday. Close to New Orleans for party and fun or just take in the sites. Not far from the WWII museum and Mississippi's gulf beaches. Great price for the location. Many restaurants walking distant.

    « Best Western Slidell »

The rooms were clean. The Friendly staff was much appreciated. Breakfast was tasty and had a array of breakfast choices. We requested a roll-a-way and it was already in roomwaiting for us. The pool was refreshing after a day of traveling. We were running from Irma (hurricane)

    3
    « A late stop »

Needed a hotel for a few hours that night.. We got to Slidell around 12:30 a.m. Stayed here a few hours to rest before a swamp tour then on to New Orleans. Not quite worth $105 for a Thursday night but gave us a place to lay our head.

    3
« Stop for night on way to florida »

Hotel was undergoing renovations. Would have been nice if they had this info on their site as we would have stayed somewhere else. The breakfast was not very good and the rooms need updating so I can see why they are doing renovations. On the plus side, the customer service was quite impressive which is why I gave the hotel 3 stars.

    5
« Great motel at a Great price »

Very clean looks like carpet and beds had not been long replaced, everything worked, AC took a little bit to cool down but room was not hot. Very updated motel but they are working on updating the lobby . Friendly staff also makes for a great stay. was a little hard to find since it is behind another motel and a business but is worth looking for..

    1
    « funeral »

Terrible service at this hotel! there was wet carpet and a terrible smell..and the so call manager dennis did nothing to resolve it, not even an offer to move us to another room.we only stayed there because it was closer to missssippi. we will never stay at that location again. we were there for a funeral, which made it even worse.

    4
« Our stay at BW Slidell Inn »

We did not encounter any issues during our stay at BW Slidell Inn. The front desk staff and other staff at the hotel were very kind, helpful and offered good suggestions for our visit to New Orleans! Will stay again.

    5
    « Always the Best »

I never stay anywhere else when I am traveling in the Slidell, LA area. This property always has in the past and continues to provide amazing service, quality accommodations, excellent breakfast and wonderful amenities (pool, work out room, etc). I have no reason to even check out any other hotel. I am sold on this one!

    5
    « Excellent Stay »

I always stay here when vacay in or near New Orleans. Very reasonable rates, pleasant staff. Although on-going lobby renovations were in swing, dust was controlled, lobby was clean, quiet, and the front desk clerk was pleasant. Breakfast held conviently in nearby lobby area and was served hot. I was also allowed early check in. The hotel is located around the corner of choice restaurants to include 2 of my favorites, Baskin Robbins, and a beautiful Mexican restaurant named carreta's. Hope you choose BWP for your next visit to Slidell, I know I will.

    4
    « Too expensive »

Very good, clean hotel. Nothing wrong with the hotel itself, just the price tag. $93.00, including tax, is WAY too much to pay for a mid-week stay. I could find a smaller name hotel that would be about as comfortable, for $15-$25 cheaper per night. Best Western needs to lower their price quite a bit if they want me to keep staying there.

  • 5
« We are Retired and enjoy traveling »

When we travel we look for a safe place to stay and the security of our vehicle. With this at BW we also get breakfast, confortable room and very polite staff. We try to stay at BW but not always successful.

    4
    « Clean and quiet »

Stopped here for the night while en route to TX. Stayed here with my husband and our 4 children. The room was clean for the most part. The staff were very friendly. The only complaint I have is that the rug felt sticky and oily and the sheets felt damp as if they didn't dry them enough. I would've said something but we were so tired we just fell asleep. In the morning the continental breakfast was good. My kids wanted waffles but their waffle maker was not working. Checking out was quick and the attendant was super friendly, giving us suggestions to kid friendly places to visit in Houston.

    5
    « Quiet and nice »

This hotel was very unethical and nice. They were doing construction so you couldn't use the front door, you had to come in through the side. Working with he public, I however understand, if you want improvement and you want expansion you must do construction. Nice breakfast, clean room, friendly staff.

    3
    « Nice, but smelly »

This is a decent enough place, but the rooms smell moldy. It was clean, the bed was comfortable enough. Breakfast was average, not excitingly special, but good enough.. they had bacon and that is good. I don't recommend staying in Slidell unless you are really tired. It is kind of a sketchy town.

    5
« We love this place »

Anytime we come to Slidel, LA we stay here. The customer service is amazing and rooms are all ways clean and smell good. Brittany is AWESOME!!!!. we were checking in and I had become sick with fever on our drive and felt horrible. Our room was not ready yet so she put us in a different room and upgraded us. Bless her heart. It meant to world to me to beable to get checked in and lay down. Thank you Brittany and Slidell you rock!!!!

    5
    « Overall Good Stay »

Only downfall was a/c not keeping up with the extreme heat during the day, very low water pressure in rooms and slow internet and the pool was a lot dirtier than the pictures show online. Other than that everything was great! Great location, comfy beds and pillows, good free breakfast, friendly service and clean hotel.

    « Best Western Slidell »

Very nice hotel! Didn't expect to be stopping here, but I'm glad we did. Ate dinner a very nice local place and got some rest. Great service from the staff! The only real "problem" was finding it, the navigation on my phone took us a roundabout way and it was a bit hard to find the entrance.

    5
    « Awesome Experience! »

It was a very clean and friendly place to stay! They were willing to help us with any questions or requests we had! I was very impressed! I would strongly recommend this hotel to any families headed on a vacation. It was our first family vacation and we enjoyed the stay!

    1
    « No customer service! »

This hotel's staff is the worst and does not offer solutions to issues. The staff is not professional and do not know what customer service means. We will never stay at this hotel again and will never recommend them.

    5
    « Great Value »

Rooms clean, good internet service, bed comfortable. Kids liked the pool. Location is easy access to interstate and some good local restaurants. For a weekend trip great value. Front office and cleaning staff very friendly and accompanying.

« Not the worst place we've stayed. »

We only stayed one night. The room was clean...the best part. Older hotel, very hard beds, lots of noise from the air conditioner (which didn't cool very well). Decent place to lay your head if you can ignore the noise and hard beds. Shower water pressure was ok. Continental breakfast was, well, continental. Not the worst place we've stayed but I wouldn't run back.

« One stop on our vacation. A passing through place to stay. »

Our experience was great in all areas of this hotel. Wonderful place to stay!!! Staff was great. Outside and inside of hotel was very neat and well kept. Breakfast was really good, and our room was so clean and, and the decor and layout of it was absolutely great. Bed was amazing!!!, and that's a big plus for me! Was a wonderful experience. Would recommend this hotel to anyone!

My family of 4 stayed here for one night in June 2017. To me it is just a basic hotel with a free breakfast. Nothing special, nothing bad. The room was comfortable and the air conditioning worked fine. The breakfast was fine, about what I had expected but the space was very small and congested during breakfast. They have a small, outdoor, saltwater pool. While I was there they had a group of no less than 15 young (6 yrs old?) girls softball players staying. They were running around screaming everywhere they went. They were even running up and down the halls at 9:30 at night. This really wasn't the hotel's fault, it was the parents not being parents. I actually heard the manager tell someone in the group that they must quiet down due to the complaints received. Oh, free cookies at the front desk too!

Best Western Plus has been my choice hotel in Slidell for the past 3 years. They are always clean and so very hospitable. The location is most convenient and the breakfast is always great. It's my first choice in Slidell always for my dollar.

« Nice experience and a great sleep. »

It was late. I was exhausted. I tried to do the Hotels Tonight app and ended up across the interstate and wouldn't even enter the building. I drove to the other side of the interstate and walked right in and was helped by the nicest lady. She even met the online price for me and set me up. I was there just to shower and sleep but being by myself I wanted to feel safe too. This fit the bill. The bed and shower were perfect. Breakfast wasn't great aside from the waffle maker. Everything was cold and the other guests and I sat and watched an employee stock up on her breakfast. Nothing wrong with that, just a bit odd at the sheer quantity she was grabbing. Lol. I'd stop here again and recommend it to everyone.

Extremely clean and super friendly staff! Kate the nice British girl at the front desk pointed out a few good restaurants to eat. She was super nice and good with directions. I would definitely stay here again when I decide to return for a New Orleans trip.

Excellent service and particularly pleased with service at the front desk. Kate and Dennis were wonderful and so helpful. Our 2nd trip back to this hotel. We had to travel for a family emergency and did not arrive at the hotel until after midnight and the front desk personnel made check in so simple. We are grateful for the kindness shown to us at this most difficult time.

    « Good value »

Nice rooms & breakfast. Only complaint was the oatmeal was barely warm and we wish the pool was larger... the motel 6 a block up had a pool 2x as big. Friendly staff. King size bed was comfy with plenty of pillows.

« Good value, clean and well maintained. »

All front desk staff encountered were excellent-very helpful, friendly and professional. My 3rd time and would stay again. This property is wonderful. You get a good value & property is clean and well- maintained. This was third year I've stayed here on way to Florida & I think they've even refreshed decor and mattress again so all stays fresh and clean

« Great Hotel; Great Experience »

Needed a place to stay overnight after attending a wedding in Florida. The location was convenient and easy to find. The room decor was modern (not outdated), bed was comfortable, and the breakfast selection was great!

    « Great hotel »

We had a great two day stay at this hotel. Extremely clean and very helpful staff. Breakfast was really good. Many hot items to choose from and different on both days. Did not hear our neighbors, very quiet. Beds very comfortable. Had read that some people had trouble finding it. We used google map and had no problems. Will be staying here again when we visit New Orleans again.

    « Disappointed »

Disappointed. Breakfast lady picked up breakfast well before time was up and two boys were trying to get something to eat. I had to ask the lady for a plate for hem and I had to get their silverware. Asked one lady for help and she kept going because she did not understand English.

« Nice people, poor cleanliness. »

My husband and I stayed at this location from June 3-4, just one overnight on a road trip. We are diamond select members and are not strangers to the Best Western chain. Brittany greeted my husband at the front desk and was absolutely charming. Very professional, and clearly exhausted from all of the customers in the lobby, she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. When we entered our room, everything appeared clean until there were a plethora of long silver hairs found throughout our room. Not to mention a USED band aid stuck to the night stand beside the bed. We laughed it off, but it was a very unpleasant sight, all of it.

    5
    « Great hotel »

Great room for the night! Brittany at the front desk was extremely helpful! Room was very clean, and despite what other reviewers said, it isn't difficult to find. We will definitely stay here again next time we come through.

    « Hard to Find, Don't Bother »

There are two over-twenty-foot-tall signs on roads ...nowhere near the hotel. My GPS drove me around for about ten minutes before it could find the place. As I walked in, the customer in front of me was complaining about the fact his GPS could not find the place. The room was adequate. However, for a good hotel, the bath towels were small ... like hand towels. Although the shower and commode are enclosed and the sink is outside in the main room, we were given one small piece of soap for the room. When we tried watching TV, the channel guide on the remote control did not work and there was no written guide to the channels in the room. In the morning (first day of three day stay) we left to explore New Orleans. When we returned in the middle of the afternoon, The sheets had been removed, but the room had not been "made up." We had to call twice to get someone to bring us sheets. I found that rather shabby for the price I paid. When we tried to eat the free breakfast, we could not sit. The tables were all filled with people and kids eating, drinking coffee or just sitting talking on their phones. I don't know the solution to this problem, but your free breakfast was not available to us. I actually chose this hotel because it was priced above most of the other hotels in Slidell. I won't stay there again.

    4
« Great location for the price! »

This particular hotel has great accommodations and it's within walking distance to many eatery's. The pool isn't that big but it's suffice. I would definitely recommend this hotel for group stay. The staff made it easy for groups to stay together on the same floor.

Feeling happy in Slidell,Louisiana. Experience was very nice. Room and area very clean. Breakfast had a variety and it was good. Coffee was fresh and hot with variety of creamers. Staff was available to always lend a hand if needed and to refill items.

    « Very happy »

Toni that works at the front desk is a sweetheart. I don't usually review hotels but Toni made our stay wonderful. She made more cookies for us because we missed the first batch and anticipated our need for pool towels. The rooms were clean and modern. PLUS - the A.C. was appropriately sized for the room.

Great rooms and amenities for the price. Brittany was super helpful with working large group reservation. She was extremely accommodating. Easy access to NOLA or Gulfport. Plenty of local shops in the area.

Very clean rooms. Britney was very helpful. She knew the area pretty well. Parking is limited or tight. Food was typical best western. Easy check in and check out. Will stay again if ever in the area again.

« Best thing they have are the employees »

I worked all time on the road and stayed in lot of hotels between Oklahoma, Texas, Mississippi, Arkansas and Louisiana. In Best Western Plus Slidell Inn I haved one of the best experience ever. Starting with the ladies in the front desk and the ladies that served the breakfast and clean the rooms. Sometimes we asked for something special in the breakfast and they served next day. Rooms extremely clean and organized.

A fine Best Western property. We were greeted by Brittany who was delightfully friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean, quiet, and well furnished. The property is close to numerous restaurants several within walking distance. One of the nicer motels at which we have ever stayed. Be sure to consider this Best Western property if you're ever in the Slidell area, you won't be sorry. A very pleasant experience.

« Friendly staff, very clean and comfortable. Will come back! »

The entire staff were very friendly and tended to our needs quickly, efficiently, an professionally. We haven't been here for 10 minutes and we can already tell this place deserves 5 stars!! Brittany was very sweet and gave us a wonderful first impression. We recommend for anyone to stay here. There are an abundance of restaurants near by and New Orleans is just a hop, skip, and a jump over the bridge. No more than 20 minutes!

    « Brittany was great »

All the usual for a clean decent hotel on the road. The exceptional part is the large number of restaurants and stores within a couple of miles and Brittany's knowledge and direction to what you want. A Chinese restaurant I would have ignored from the curb appeal turned out some of the best food I have had in decades, Thank You Brittany. Longhorn was good also the second night. The location just far enough outside of New Orleans was perfect for early to the WWII museum and out of the city before dark. Good location, great staff.

Family of 4 had a room with twin queen beds. Plenty of room and wardrobe space for 2 night stay. Room has coffee machine, fridge with small freezer compartment and microwave. Generally clean but did find a discarded false eyelash! Breakfast good and plentiful. Staff very friendly and helpful particularly Brittany. Hotel in good position with restaurants nearby

    « Place to stay »

We stayed here from out of town for a death in the family. After we checked in and was leaving for the memorial, 3 or 4 people were outside in front of the motel with a 6 pack of beer. I didn't really care for that. I will find somewhere else to stay the next time I am down there.

Went in early November and was not disappointed. Very clean, very quiet and a great place to stay. The staff is wonderful and go aboveboard to ensure that your stay is wonderful. I must put over the first Front Desk Girl. Her name is Toni... She was the best!!! Anything that you need, Toni will get it for you!... Brittany, Jessica, Kirstin and Dennis are the bomb! They went above and beyond to do what they could to keep you happy... Kudos to the whole staff...

« Nice Hotel for a One Night Stay »

We were just passing through Slidell on our way home, so this hotel was perfect for a one night stay. The staff members were courteous and professional. The free breakfast was fantastic and the hotel was overall very clean and tidy. The rooms were updated with new decor and fixtures and were very clean. The beds were also quite comfortable.

All of the front desk personale were great but I am only going to mention Toni,( personal promise). Free Wi-Fi and breakfast. Not coffee and donuts... Eggs, waffles, sausage, bagels, biscuits and gravy, juice and more... Great place to stay

« Great and Comfortable stay »

Excellent value with good amenities for the money in a quiet and peaceful environment. Professional and courteous staff. Short drive to NOLA. I booked at this location after reviewing several options including New Orleans which is only a short drive away from Slidell. When comparing options this one seemed to be the best value overall. The check-in and out was quick and easy. My experience here was better than anticipated.

    « Good value »

We were pleasantly surprised at how clean and quiet our room was considering the hotel was at full capacity. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast was good, and all the electronics in the room worked well.

« Dennis is the best! »

Dennis was VERY helpful and courteous. He helped us with directions to the French Quarter in New Orleans. Without his guidance we could have paid up to forty five dollars for parking. However, he directed us to a safe location that was free and close to all the establishments. Furthermore, he made several suggestions for eating and shopping venues that were most beneficial to us. He made our visit there one we'll never forget. It was a blast.

« Great hotel and friendly staff »

Stayed here for one night after flying into Louis Armstrong airport. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Fresh baked cookies were available in the afternoon. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good with a good variety of items. Had no problems with anything in the hotel. Since it was a short stay, we did not take advantage of any other amenities.

    « Friendly Awesome Service »

Rooms comfortable and great staff. Lauren Gibson-manager, Toni Sevin really went above in beyond to make me aware of the area and followed up to make sure I was comfortable with my stay. I had the opportunity to call back in for more information and Kristin greeted me on the phone and answered my questions. The plus on this list cation is because of these folks professional caring manner.

« Best Western Minus not Plus »

Tacky shower covered closet opening. Some ones initials carved in 4 inch letters in coffee table. Picture didn't fill TV screen. 2 to 3 inch black strip at top and bottom. Was told I couldn't get a complimentary upgrade as a Diamond member because the hotel was booked. At 7 AM there was a total of 13 cars in the lots, at least a couple would be employees.

    3
    « Not unpleasant »

We were a little disappointed in the property. When we arrived, it was clear the cleaners had forgotten to finish cleaning our room. There was a wet towel in the tub, and the soap, shampoo, etc were just sitting on the counter. Otherwise, it was clean, though. The toilet didn't flush properly, the bathroom door and the hot water faucet both squeaked, and the hall door had to be pushed hard in order to lock the deadbolt. The curtain over the closet was pulled toward the hall when the door opened, so was a little quirky. For breakfast, the employees didn't seem to be quite on top of the items needing to be replenished, so there was a little wait for a couple things. The parking lot is easily maneuverable in a small car, but there are quite a few sharp angles for a larger vehicle, making it quite difficult to maneuver. However, the room was a little larger than some properties, and the front desk employees were very nice. Overall, not unpleasant at all, just a little different than what we expected.

    « Excellent experience »

Enjoyed our stay very pleasurable. Your Front Desk Clerk Kristina was a ray of sunshine, The breakfast was delicious. Not very often can you get a hot breakfast. Excellent location. The pool was also a great experience. Rooms are clean and staff very helpful.

    « Very Good »

Overall good place to stay overnight. This place is a good bang for the buck. The breakfast was a little off maybe because I got their late and it was close to closing meal hours. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. I am not sure I like the design of the bathroom and the area where you wash your face separated. However, I know that would not be an overnight quick fix item.

    5
    « Best visit ever! »

Kristina at the front desk was so pleasant and nice. She gave me the rundown on when breakfast was and what food they would have. The burritos were awesome. Yum! She explained exactly how to find to my room with ease.

    3
« Good Motel, Poor food »

This motel while not brand new and updated is clean and comfortable, The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. The only "fly" in the ointment is the kitchen staff? They don't speak english or at least pretend not to. The food and coffee is cold and they are slow to refill.

« Value and Great Staff »

I booked this hotel through a work travel system. I was actually a bit worried because the price was relatively low. It was fantastic. Close to highway access, great staff, the rooms were clean and quite nice. Thanks to Ms Toni and Ms Krisitn for always having a smile on their face and friendly service. The entire staff represented your hotel professionally, and most important to me personally, friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this hotel - it is close to various businesses you may need to visit and an easy drive to New Orleans. Price can't be beat.

    « Great Staff »

We stayed at this BW last week. We were greeted by Dennis, desk clerk when we arrived. Dennis was friendly, helpful, and offered great advise to help us find a restaurant and place to do some necessary shopping. We arrived early but this was not treated as an inconvenience by Dennis or other staff members. Being from out of town and traveling a distance we were happy to be able to rest. Of course being a visitor to the area we asked for directions and assistance with choosing a good place to have dinner with some local flare. Dennis supplied us with a list of restaurants and their locations. We chose NOLA which was great and close to the motel. The food was delicious. We would like to thank all of the staff but Dennis stands out as a young man going out of his way to assist the patrons of the motel.

    « Great Hotel »

I stayed here for a week while working at the Stennis Space Center for the week. The distance to work was an easy trip up route 10. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Everyone I met at the front desk were super friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there the next time I am in town. I love that the weekday breakfast begins at 6am since I had to leave for work at 6:30 am each day. The breakfast was great with a variety of hot food to choose from.

« Great location and value »

We had stayed in the french quarter one night so decided to stay here on our last night to save a little money. The hotel is located about 40 minutes from the French Quarter. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and courteous. Both hot and cold items were available for breakfast.

    « Customer service »

Kristin at the front counter was very friendly in the most professional sense possible. Anytime I needed something she had no problem going well out of her way for me, exceeding any expectations that I may have had going into my stay. Breakfast offered a wide variety of food that tasted great without feeling like I just ate the typical low quality hotel breakfast. The room was spacious and felt like it was brand new. Good water pressure and temperature as well. Air conditioner worked great and I was comfortable throughout my stay. If I ever need to be in the area again, I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. Everything about my stay was enjoyable and with Kristin's ability to make anyone feel like family, I am looking forward to any future stay with Best Western Plus, Slidell LA

    « Terrific hotel!! »

This place was such a great surprise! We stopped late at night, road weary and worn out, and this was the best hotel we stayed in our entire trip. Beautifully appointed room, super comfortable beds, very spacious accommodations, very clean, great, friendly, helpful staff. Our only complaint is we couldn't stay longer and use the pool! Great place to stay right outside of NOLA or even to test while traveling I-10.

    5
    « Friendly Staff »

From the moment we walked in we were greeted by Ms. Toni with a welcoming smile. The check in was quick considering I walked in with a large group in front of me but Toni was fast and efficient. Rooms were very clean and the grounds were well maintained. Large hot and cold breakfast selection. Checking out was also a pleasant experience with Ms. Kristin. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I am a local and booked a night just so that I didn't have to drive all the way home from a wedding in the area. It is also located in a safe location.

    « Toni was awesome!!! »

We had a small problem with the air in our room and Toni was so quick to respond. She came straight down and moved us in minutes. Never seen a hotel employee that good anywhere!!!! And we travel a lot. I think she should be the manager! She definitely deserves a raise. A rare find these days.

This hotel is the perfect spot for exploring the world of Alligators .there are many swamp tours nearby and just a short drive away is a ranch/hatchery where you can catch live alligators (mouth taped, of course).Breakfast is included and many resterants are within walking distance. New Orleans is also very close.

    « Input on Stay »

Room was clean. Toilet seat was not fitted correctly so it didn't cover the bottom right and my legs would touch it. That was kind of gross. Bed was comfortable but pillows were not great. Stay was overall good. However the breakfast was somewhat disappointing.

Great place to stay away from the busy city of New Orleans! We stopped here for the night on our way to Ft. Walton. Friendly staff, great breakfast, and comfy rooms made our overnight stay very enjoyable!

« Great room for the value! »

When we first arrived, the lady checking us in was extremely nice and overly helpful. When we came into our room, the AC wasn't working and the front desk was understanding and helpful in getting us a new room. The room was large and comfortable, and I received no problems for the duration of the stay. Dennis checked me out of the room and was also extremely helpful. My hotel card was constantly deactivated, and he informed me that my iPhone was the reason for it. So keep your phones away from the hotel card, unless you want to keep going to the front desk to get them to reactivate it. Unsure of the lady's name that was constantly running the front desk, but she was a fun lady and easy to talk to. I enjoyed just chatting with her! So shout out to her, she's a good addition to the hotel staff!

    « I'd Stay Again! »

The lobby and our room was very clean. The locations was also excellent; it was located in a great location with many businesses and placed to eat within walking distance. The staff, especially Kristin, was courteous and very helpful. The value versus the price was excellent.

« Adequate room, inadequate facilities »

One of the major criteria I use when I visit is breakfast included and the ability to do a cardio workout. If those were not important to me, I would stay at Motel 6 for a lot less money. I visited this facility on my way to Orange Beach, AL from Houston. The room was adequate - not superior and not inferior. However, I woke up in the morning expecting to do an hour cardio workout with 10 to 15 minutes to spare for breakfast. When I got to the exercise the facility, I could not figure out how to turn on the elliptical. I asked for help from the front desk, I they could not figure it out either. We tried a different outlet and it came on for a second briefly and then turned off. After 15 to 20 minutes of experimentation, I concluded the problem was in my opinion a flimsy radio shack power adapter. As a result of that wasted time, I had to start on a bike, then move to the treadmill when it freed up (there were only three pieces of equipment - one of each). BY the time I finished I had also missed breakfast. I complained on checkout at the front desk, and they told me first there was no one authorized to comp me even if part because there was no manager available and even if they were around, they would not do it since I reserved and paid for the room via booking.com (via tripadvisor) and that the room was discounted already. So let me understand - they failed to have working equipment on July 4th weekend, then they never tagged the elliptical as out of order, used third party inadequate power adapters, didn't empower the front desk to 'make it right' and finally decide what to do NOT based on what happened but on how you booked your reservation! Needless to say, I am not a happy camper.

    5
    « Excellent! »

Kristin at the desk is absolutely wonderful! She made our stay very pleasant and relaxing. We arrived late and had checked another hotel but weren't impressed. The rooms are very clean, quiet, and extras are provided. This hotel is a good choice for families.

    « It is adequate »

This BW is adequate. Comfortable and quiet room. I think this is the first hotel room shower I have ever been in that did not have any place for the soap... no soap dish, no ledge, no inset, no anywhere to put the soap when you are not lathering... odd.

    4
« Best Western standard of excellent - No complaints here. »

I have come to enjoy the standards of excellent at Best Western Hotels already. I ONLY look/search for Best Westerns every time I travel, I just don't want to waste time and money to stay at other hotel with dramas and frustrations.

    « Pleasure! »

Got in at 3 am after a late arriving flight in New Orleans....They could not have been more accommodating! Room excellent and they allowed us a late checkout due to arrival time...Spotless with a very comfortable bed and excellent staff!

« Why is this a Best Western Plus? »

I can't recommend this hotel unless you like an overly soft mattress. Although the room appeared to be recently redecorated, the mattress was soft and uncomfortable. I did not sleep very well. The breakfast was adequate, but the breakfast room was very small. I've stayed in numerous Best Westerns and Best Western Plus's, but this one makes me wonder, why is it a BW Plus? It didn't seem to be any better than many ?regular? Best Westerns.

    5
« One of the best »

We have stayed two times at Best Western PLUS Slidell Inn and enjoyed our stay each time. The stays were several months apart. Each time we experienced the same friendly staff and employees that made our time there very nice. We will most certainly stay there again in the future.

    4
« Our 'regular' stop when in Slidell »

We have stayed at this BW a few times, and each time we are there, they have made new improvements. They have added little outdoor area for grilling and just kicking back. There was a friendly 'welcome' note in our room which was such a nice touch. We will continue to book our rooms here when travelling East, and recommend you do the same! The location is great -- just off I-10 and close to fast food and shops.

We had our Harley brought in to Slidell,Louisana for battery troubles. They couldn`t repair it till the next day.We chose the Best Western within walking distance.Tina at the desk helped us with everything wwe needed.best Best Western we have stayed at.On our trip,we have paid a lot more for a lot less. And NO PETS to deal with (Ignorant dog owners who leave the animals to bark in the room has ruined our stay before).

    « Cruise Hotel »

We have stayed here twice, before two cruises out of New Orleans. The service could not be better, breakfast is very good as well. We have zero complaints with this hotel, it is the only place we even consider when planning a cruise out of New Orleans.

« Better monitor your debit or credit card »

We stayed at this BW overnight. The room and property was clean and comfortable.however I used my debit card to reserve the room and used my rewards points to claim a free night. Even after I specifically asked if my card was being charged and was told no my card was charged immediately for the room. I have yet to have my money returned to my card and that was approx 6 days ago. Why should I be inconvenience for BW mistake? Yet all they say is I apologize and were working on it. It sucks to be a loyal customer and be treated so badly. I'm extremely disappointed in BW I thought they were more professional than that.

    2
    « No laundry facility? »

WOW, NO LAUNDRY FACILITY? Who would have thought a BW wouldn't have coin operated washer/dryer on-site? No hot cocoa either. Non-smoking room still reeked of tobacco smoke. No TV channel guide in room. Noisy air-conditioner in room. Friendly front desk, though :)

    « Cruise Vacation »

We have stayed here twice the night before we left on a cruise out of New Orleans, once in 2013 and now in 2016. We love it. The clerks especially Kristin and Toni were so nice. I lost a piece of jewelry and they went above and beyound to help me look for it. Found it! Also I needed a glass of milk that night and they went to the kitchen area and brought me a glass, they didn't have to do that but they did. Saved me from leaving the hotel late at night to run to a store in a town that I was unfamiliar with. This hotel is nice and clean and we will stay again. Plus it's a hundred dollars cheaper than the ones in downtown New Orleans. Another plus the city of Slidell has some awesome restaurants. Try the Copeland's for dinner and City Beignet for great beignets and coffee.

« Great location with easy access to restaurants, shopping and freeways to New Orleans and Gulf Coast »

The front desk manned by Dennis, Kristin and Toni was best of all. They were friendly and very knowledgeable of the surrounding area. My room with flat screen TV, microwave, frig , safe and coffee maker was quiet and very nicely furnished. Breakfast with biscuits, grits, bacon, sausage, waffles, juice, cereal, pastries and coffee was very good every morning and free.

« Cozy spot, friendly staff »

Best Western Slidell is a conveniently located hotel that's tucked away, yet easily accessible to restaurants, shopping and freeway access to New Orleans and beyond. Fresh Community coffee and just baked cookies are available in the lobby. Speaking of food, make yourself a golden waffle or choose from the many breakfast options (fluffy biscuits, grits...) available every morning. The front desk staff, Kristin, Toni and Dennis, are all very friendly and treat you like family. Whatever you need: best Po-Boys, souvenir shops, directions, they've got you covered!

    « Exceptional service »

Tina booked my stay and she was very friendly and professional. She answered any questions I had and made some great recommendations on places to eat. The room was very clean and breakfast was nice. The location was very convent to many restaurants and shopping. We will be back!

    « Could've Been Better »

Internet connection (weak), breakfast options (extremely limited), vending choices (look at breakfast options), with that much water surrounding the area you would think the water pressure would've been stronger. reported someone smoking in the room and it took them a WHOLE 24 hours to investigate.

    « Friendly, Helpfil Staff »

Very pleased with comfortable, clean room. Front desk was most pleasantly staffed, and we enjoyed the convenient outdoor pool. Very conveniently located to golf club, restaurants, and shopping. Really appreciated local coupons available at front desk.

« Another Excellent stay at your hotel pre-cruise »

Have stayed at this hotel many times. I use this location as a pre-cruise hotel as the rates and location are excellent. Not good with at remember names but all the front desk staff were very helpful. My girlfriend wanted fresh crawfish and we didn't know a good restaurant. The friendly front desk man suggested Vera's Seafood. Wow, this was a good restaurant for fresh crawfish and was not far from the hotel. This hotel didn't disappoint as as usual has comfortable beds and a in-room safe. Like the fact that Rousses supermarket is closeby as we managed to get fresh lobster and more crawfish to take back to the room. Yummy. Plan on using this hotel the next time that I visit New Orleans area. Thanks

    « breakfast was great »

Everything was nice and the breakfas was great. The only problem is that they did not have sugar free syrup. The check in went smooth and they even had cookies at the desk. The motel looked a little old but everything was clean and working.

« Good Place to Stay »

This was a lovely big-box style hotel... clean and comfortable, with decent breakfast. Has all of the usual amenities like a fridge and microwave. Nothing to write home about per se, but for the category it did alright.

    « Never Disappointed »

As always, my stay at this property was first rate. Staff is accommodating and goes out of their way to be sure that guest concerns are addressed. Rooms are clean and exterior/interior is beautifully appointed. This is my go-to hotel when staying in Slidell. Convenient location and easy access to Interstate as well.

    « Not a good stay. »

The staff were good but that was all. No bath mat or hair dryer the first night. Breakfast was inedible except for the cereal and the layout was not good. It was hard to find bowls, Etc. We were only given two towels each day. I have never been to any hotel that did not leave more than two towels. Half of the entrnceway was painted yesterday amd then water was dumped on the entranceway today. Painted surfaces become very slick when wet. Could this not have been done some other time than the main check out time. The towels were subpar for a hotel 6 as was the toilet paper. I a, aware that this is not a 5 star location but for the price one certainly expects more than this. And to top it off the elevator quit work last night. I know that they had not control of this but it was definitely the last straw. I am mobility compromised so walking up or down stairs is difficult..

    « New Orleans Trip »

Great place to stay . The rooms were wonderful, clean and roomy. Special thanks to Kristin and Toni who answered all our questions and helped us book a room in Biloxi for the rest of our trip. The rest of the staff were very friendly.

« Great One Night Stay »

One night stay for travel softball team. Got a good group room rate for the team. Staff was very helpful and polite. Room was clean and orderly. Good hot breakfast options. Close to restaurant options. Would stay here again.

    « Southern Hospitality »

The staff is very helpful and friendly, they gave us some tips on which restaurants to try and things to do in the area. The hotel looks modern and trendy. There is a lot to do from food to shopping. Great place to stay, we stayed on our way into New Orleans.

    « Horrible Breakfast »

I stayed at this hotel for work. Because, I am a rewards member I had a letter waiting for me on the bed when I checked in and a small goody bag that contained a bottle of water and a piece of fruit. This hotel offered a great stay but if you are wanting a hotel with a breakfast, this is not the one. I didn't have any other issues with the stay.

    4
« Nice place to stay. »

I had a very good stay here. The prices are much less than in New Orleans and only about 30 minutes from New Orleans. the staff of Lauren, toni, Dennis and another woman were excellent with arrival and checking out. I will stay here again.

    4
« Close to New Orleans »

The facilities are satisfactory. Rooms may require some updating but everything was clean and fresh. We stayed in Slidell so that we could have a short drive to New Orleans. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. A lady at the desk gave us a map marked up with directions to New Orleans French Quarter including places to park and places of interest. Traffic getting into and out was a little tricky and time consuming, like 5 minutes. Breakfast was good.

    « Best Western »

We checked in very late and the attendant was very helpful. Other than putting the wrong street address (which he had my license in his hand, so I'm not sure what happened) he was very professional. He did offer us the reward program to save some money, so that was nice! Breakfast was good and checkout was easy. We'll stay here again if we find ourselves in this area.

    « What a great stay! »

We really enjoyed this hotel. A very pleasant staff both during check-in and check-out. Made sure to grant our request for a ground floor room. The breakfast choices were outstanding, much better than other hotels that we have stayed in recently. Thank you to all the staff

« Excellent, Quiet and Clean »

Great Stay at the Best Western Plus in Slidell LA. My husband and I needed a place to stay as we were traveling to San Antonio for our son's graduation from boot camp. Slidell was the half-way point and we saw the Harley Davidson shop, so the Best Western was next door and we booked. It was nice and clean and quiet. Very comfortable too.

« Best Western Plus in Slidell is Outstanding! »

What a great place to stay! Clean, comfortable, large rooms...free breakfast & wifi in the rooms! All that for a very reasonable rate even though we did not make reservations in advance! Toni and Kristin at the front desk were so friendly and helpful! We highly recommend this property!

    « Best Service Ever »

Checking in was a breeze and Kristin,Toni, and Dennis were very friendly and helpful.I would definitely stay here again.Their room was clean and very presentable. I would recommend going here to anyone.Only stayed for 2 night but it was a very enjoyable 2 nights

    « Best customer Service »

I have to highlight the customer Service at this hotel. I booked through Expedia and seems I pressed the wrong key, and they called me, from the front desk, to let me know that I had requested a smoking room and that it might be an error. And it was. Then, at check in I told Toni at the front desk, that I might leave a day earlier and she was very kind to let me know how to call Expedia for the change. The hotel looks brand new, the location was excellent. I don't have anything to complain about. The perfect choice. Very friendly staff. And it was nice to arrive to such a quiet, comfortable and clean room after having spent almost twelve hours at the French Quarter, about 25-30 miles away. And Slidell is a nice hospitable town. Southern hospitality at its best.

« Great Place to Stay »

This hotel was very convenient to get too. There were a number of excellent restaurants close to the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the bed was very comfortable, the hot breakfast was very good, and most of all the room was very quiet for an excellent night's sleep. We will stay here again.

    5
    « Great location »

Great location with access to a lot of different things to do and places to eat. Friendly/helpful staff. Very clean room and comfortable bed. Felt very safe since the only way to get to the rooms was through the lobby. Would definitely stay at this location again.

« Great location. 35 minutes from downtown New Orleans »

We spent a week at this hotel The lobby is small, but the staff were very friendly. The complementary breakfast was really good. It was too cold for us to use the outdoor pool, but is looked nice. It was small. The room was clean, neat, and the bed was very comfortable. I plan to stay there again in February when we travel south again.

    « Three days' visit »

I spent three nights at the Best Western in Slidell, while working at a job site closer to New Orleans. Workers at the job site recommended my staying in Slidell. My visit was very comfortable and enjoyable. i checked in Sunday evening. I was helped by Toni(?) and she made it very easy and enjoyable. On Wednesday afternoon, my supervisors at the job site decided we had accomplished the things we had set out to do on this trip and suggested I didn't need to stay any longer. Tina helped with my sudden need to checkout. Tina was very understanding and made it a very easy process. My thanks and compliments to both of these ladies. Lew Stivers

Breakfast at this location was not very good. Supposed to be served from 7 am - 10 am. 1st day not there until around 8:30am. Was not hot. 2nd day food was there by 7:00 am but still the same lukewarm temperature. Biscuits were cold.

    « Worth the Effort »

It is hard to find the entrance to this hotel since another hotel built around it and between it and the main road, but it is worth the effort. Many Best Westerns have seen their better days but this one is modern, well designed, and perfect for us. We needed a place to stay before sailing on a cruise out of New Orleans. This was perfect.

    5
« Very nice and comfortable »

Everything was excellent except the breakfast items which could have been improved and not up to par at the other BW Plus' we stay at. Overall def would recommend it to anyone traveling in the Slidell,New Orleans area. Very quiet.

    « Pleasant Surprise »

Stayed one night at the Best Western in Slidell, Louisiana. The accommodations were excellent especially given the price point. The room was very clean and the bed (including the pillows) was exceptionally comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked. I have stayed in many high end hotels costing three to four times the rate here and some have not acquired the level of excellence I encountered here.

    4
    « Nice and quiet »

We checked-in Best western Plus (Slidell) on new year's day mainly because it was priced lower than other New Orleans hotels, and the fact that this location was on;y 15 min drive to the 'Cajun encounters' swamp tour we had booked earlier. However, after staying here, we realized the hotel is nice, not so far from New Orleans (NO), only 45 min, also it gave us a chance to drive over the Ponchartrain bridge (the largest one of its kind in the world) to reach NO. Overall great experience and recommended for anyone considering the swamp tour or bridge drive...

    « Great Location »

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. Great location for visiting family and shopping. The staff are very friendly and they serve a "hot" breakfast. The location is also close to New Orleans and a short drive to visit family and friends in Hammond.

« Convenient location. Good rooms and fresh, free breakfast. »

Our rooms were comfortable, clean and nice, with fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, hairdryer. Staff was courteous and helpful. Best free hotel breakfast. Close to the interstate and lots of shopping. Kind of hotel where you won't mind staying more than just a night.

OMG! We enjoyed ourselves so much!! The TEAM at Best Western made our trip so enjoyable!! They were professional, knowledgeable and personable! « We Like Best Western »

Best Westerns are ubiquitous, prices seem relatively reasonable and service is excellent. We are happy customers. The hotel business is very competitive and Best Western is good value; based on our stays at six different Best Westerns in one month, we think the company is a winner.

« Slidell, Louisiana Best Western »

The staff was friendly and helpful. I phoned to find directions from the interstate to the hotel and the instructions were accurate and easy to follow. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the internet fast. The hot breakfast was palatable.

    « VERY DISAPPOINTED »

I travel to this location at least once a month. This trip I was very disappointed with the Best Western quality. I called the front desk to report the air conditioner was not working and was told someone would be up shortly. More than an hour later I had to call again, at which point the man at the front desk came to check out the air, not maintenance. He looked at it and said it was working fine and that because it was raining and the air comes from outside it was going to take about three hours to cool off. I'm not an A/C specialist or a dummy. The air was cold as I had it on 60 degrees, but it was not blowing high even though it was set on high. It finally cooled off the NEXT MORNING when I was leaving to check out but even then was not a comfortable temp to sleep in. It was a miserable night. I wasn't offered another room or anything, just told I had to wait it out.

The check-in clerk was supreme. The Winngate clerk was rude and patronizing(not sincere, phony kindness)I left the Winngate and hurried to Best Western [email protected] La. Best choice I made in hotel selection ever!!! Never pay for rude service....take your $$$ where professionals value the person and the $$$. LOVE BEST WESTERN -SLIDELL LA.

    « Overall, Pretty good »

We stopped in on a Saturday evening and were blessed to find a room. The staff at the front desk was very nice and assisted with any and all questions. The room was very clean, including the bathroom. The bed was quite comfortable and we slept quite well. We left early the next morning before the breakfast items and coffee came out, so I don't know the quality of it. The only "complaint" I guess I would have is the television and programming. Didn't seem HD, no guide, and the channels were quite strange.

    5
    « Lovely stay »

The only place we stay when visiting . The price is great the breakfast is great and the housekeepers do a wonderful job the entire building is spotless . I must not forget the front desk staff is super nice and greets you every time .

« Work trip with a feel at home hotel »

I spent a week in this hotel due to work. The girls at the front desk were amazing! Super nice and welcoming. The hotel has a washer and two driers which came in very handy since my stay was extended and I ran out of clean clothes. The rooms were nice, clean and quiet. Breakfast could be a bit better, but it was not bad either. Toast, yogurt, banana and apples as well as biscuit and gravy, grits and a few pastries. The location is nice as well, with many options of restaurants and fast food within walking distance, and also major shopping as well. Would definitely stay there again if go back.

    5
    « Great Stay »

Hotel was clean and very quiet. The front desk was very nice and helpful. Changed rooms for us because ours was not ready when we got there. They took care of us without a second thought. Near several food places and the interstate.

« Enjoyed returning to Slidell »

I have stayed at this hotel before and upon returning recalled it was always a good stay. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast area clean and had good presentation. My room was on the first floor and still seemed very quiet. It would be good to have at least 1 towel and washcloth in the bathroom/shower area for those that forget to grab one. I'll be sure to return when visiting New Orleans.

    « Musty smelling room »

There was nothing particularly horrible about this place. It had the look and feel of a lot of hotels I've stayed in, but when we walked in the door I was almost knocked over by a musty, moldy smell. After being in the room for 30 minutes or so, I no longer noticed it. We assumed it was from humidity in Louisiana (I hope). The walls were fairly thin. We fell asleep to the sound of children screaming down the hall and woke up listening to a guy talking in the room next door. Breakfast was all carbs except for some scrambled eggs. Since we were just there to sleep for 8 hours, it was fine.

    « Delightful! »

I'm picky about hotel rooms, I would be the first to admit it. We were completely satisfied with the Best Western Plus in Slidell, LA and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. The rooms were very clean and the beds were sooo very comfortable! The breakfast was good. The staff saw to it that the breakfast foods were well stocked. The kids and grand kids enjoyed the swimming pool however while it wasn't bad, the swimming pool water was a little colder than we like it. Overall it was a great experience and we will look for Best Western Plus hotels from now on in our travels.

« Best Western Plus Slidell »

Staff didn't convey an attitude of wanting or caring to help. We were very disappointed with the last few stays and will not stay at another Best Western ever if not for some time. We will instead switch to the Hilton Honors Program.

The concierge was wonderful and helpful. All the staff was very friendly. I enjoyed my two days here. And I would stay here again. If you want to visit different sites, the desk help will give you plenty of directions and choices. They are great with out of towners.
