"Best, beautiful and amazing place for the family ❤️ my daughter and granddaughter could not believe that it had everything for a"
mohammedsW8523RF, 21 Août 2022

Fresh air, amazingly clean everything you could ask for, people fantastic, hotel facilities amazing, ready to help, food available nearly all the time, found all fish and chips as well as café closed by 10pm. Revisiting on 27-8-22, will be our third visit in six weeks. Love it.

"Still the perfect bike location"
steQ2017OG, 08 Juin 2021

The Anthurium is located adjacent to the bike track and is perfectly suited for just using the flat bike track to ride along the coast or to get to the many valleys and climb up meters and meters and come back another valley. Santo Stefano is a cozy small town with all the Charme and no large touristy traps. The hotel has a pool area (not very secluded), but you can sit on your own small terrace area and each room has a separate outdoor entrance.

"Great staff, comfortable room"
Ron L, 14 Novembre 2019

A warm reception after a long drive was very welcome, especially after we had some challenges with our booking due to a car accident. The room was a good size, the bed was firm and great to sleep on. The bathroom was big and all services worked well. The included breakfast was generous and the coffee was tasty. This place specialises as a cycling destination but we can recommend it for anyone. I especially want to acknowledge the helpfulness and friendliness of all staff we encountered.

"Catered cycling on the Italian Riviera"
kfindlay2019, 06 Octobre 2019

Super 10 days with a Canadian group of friends at the Anthurium Bike Hotel in Santo Stefano al Mare. Rides start right out the back of the property onto the region's coastal bike/pedestrian pathway. They usually flow through the seaside towns then up into the mountain valleys to a café in a picturesque town. Custom fitted high level carbon bikes came with our Group package. This also included 3 ample, delicious meals a day, extra bananas and water for the rides, 4 guides to handle bike adjustments and lead 3 tour levels daily as well as quick turn around laundry service for bike clothes. Owner Andrea and his staff are friendly, helpful, honest and obliging - rushing to retrieve a lost wallet at a café, saving left behind clothing, quickly supplying room extras like a kettle service and iron, catering to special diets like gluten, dairy free or vegetarian. Rooms are kept sparkling clean and are way above standard with comfortable supportive beds, ample cupboard space, glamorous finishings, sound sealing windows and doors. The area is very quiet and noise did not travel from neighbouring rooms. All in all a marvellous destination.

"Awesome bike hotel"
mannieto2019, 02 Octobre 2019

Amazing team of cycling guides, hotel staff, kitchen staff (super chef) and overall experience for 10 days of cycling with all meals. We were a group of 38 and they were able to accommodate a number of different food requirements (gluten-free & dairy-free all tasted like the real thing) as well as vegetarian. Also the guides adapted the cycling routes to our requests & individual capabilities. A wonderful guest experience ensured by manager, Andrea.

"Fabulous group bike trip holiday location!"
BobStellick, 30 Septembre 2019

Just finished a fabulous 10 day cycle holiday with a group of 37 cyclists from across Canada. Everything about the Hotel Anthurium was exceptionally well executed. Andrea the manager runs a well-oiled operation and our cycling group did not lack for anything. The hotel provided high end carbon bike rentals (no need to ship and assemble your bike) and each day our group was provided with three unique distance and climbing option rides. The rides were led by four outstanding guides — Marco, Tom, Dume and Christian. The hotel is located on a 15 km paved cycle path (an old rail line), with rides beginning each day on the path and then heading up into the hills. The views are spectacular and well earned with some challenging climbs. I would certainly recommend being in bike shape before embarking on this tour. That being said, the guides modified rides to whatever level the riders wanted. The hotel food is really good. In our group we had people with all sorts of food allergies and preferences and the kitchen handled them with aplomb. Our group had our meals included which really added to the ease of the trip. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to any group (or individuals) considering a European bike vacation! As a bonus the pricing also offering fantastic value.

"excellent choice to explore Ligurian coast"
vritchie, 08 Août 2019

we stayed 3 nights at Hotel Anthurium and can fully recommend it. Everything was just perfect. Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, an outside pool and free on site parking. We had a superior room which was spacious, very well equipped and absolutely quiet. Restaurants in Santo Stefano are just a very short walk away. The hotel also offers dinner, however you need to reserve in the morning and there is only a rather limited choice. We tried once and it was really good with reasonable price.

"Really enjoyed this hotel!"
N_Seuss, 05 Avril 2019

We really enjoyed this hotel. It is all bicycle themed. The room is standard, the shower is much bigger than most in Italy. There is free parking right in front of the room, which is really difficult to find. The price included dinner and breakfast which was totally worth the price.

"Average Hotel, great prices and staff"
chantelleko, 17 Septembre 2018

Nice, clean hotel but very average. That being said the front desk staff is very helpful and speak many languages (Monika at the front desk found it easier to speak German to my boyfriend than english with me, neither of which was her first language, between us all we figured it all out! Very impressive). We paid a very reasonable, if not cheap, rate for what we got. The room was spacious, very clean and had 2 entries, one which lead you directly to where your car was parked and the other to the inside of the hotel. The bathroom was large, also had a bidet and the most fabulous double headed shower ever. The room was a short walk to the beach and many restaurants. Breakfast was included with our rate. There is a small, narrow pool which we did not use as we preferred the beach. If you are looking for a good hotel at an excellent price this is your place!

"Excellent cycling break"
berty153, 02 Juin 2018

Fantastic hotel, in a great location for cyclists. The hotel is directly on the coastal cycle path. Great staff very friendly, good breakfast and very good evening meals. We stayed here for four nights on a cycling holiday and chose the hotel as it is geared up for cyclists. They arranged our bike hire( very good quality ) and have a secure garage. Andrea the manager really helpful and friendly, helped us with some excellent routes and even lent us a GPS for a day. .Monniker on reception was also really friendly and speaks several languages. All in all highly recommended.

"Great Location & Experience"
rds9298, 28 Février 2018

we booked in for 4 nights in late feb on a european road trip. the location is excellent for a stroll as the walking and cycle path is right outside. turn right and the next town is 2.2miles. turn left and it is 3.7 (through a 1.5km disused railway tunnel). service was good, rooms were clean and breakfast is a must at 5 euro ppd. depending which room you book you can park your car under the canopy by your room, other wise there is parking all along the perimeter of the hotel. I suspect that the rooms on the road side may get road noise during the night as we heard it occasionally for the other side. we had dinner on the first night and then were told they were booked for the next 3 nights. no matter as there are plenty of better places to eat 5mins walk away and i can give max stars to taverna24.com - they bring snacks with every drink you buy and the gin selection is a must sample.

"Bike hotel"
Michael D, 06 Octobre 2017

We had a week at the Anthurium hotel in September with a wish to do some road cycling as well as to have some quiet time on the Mediterranean coast. Every aspect of our stay was wonderful with the ever-friendly staff really helping out. The bikes sourced by our guide Marco were top of the range and Marco himself was an absolute gem. Helpful and always available with great suggestions and advice. Happy to highly recommend. We will return at some stage.

"Comfortable and clean hotel, close to the bike path"
MarketForays, 08 Mai 2017

If you want a clean, comfortable hotel with all modern conveniences close to the beach and whose back door literally opens onto the bike path, Anthurium is perfect. They even rent bicycles for 10 Euros/day to hotel guests. The breakfast is a bargain at 5 Euros per person. A swimming pool is under construction. We went there in April and got free upgrades as the hotel wasn't full.

"Ideal for cycling"
Louise B, 31 Octobre 2016

We went with our teenagers and as soon as you walk out of the hotel you are directly on the cycle path. We cycled too the next village and had crepes with nutella. It was a bit more difficult to come back but we made it. The rooms are modern with a lovely shower. You can hear the road nearby but it didnt bother us because at night it was quiet.

"Top cycling and vacation hotel"
Truls58, 14 Septembre 2016

If cycling in the sun is your thing, this hotels has what you need. Perfect location along the cycling path to Sanremo where you can pick your route for the day. Andrea, the manager will make sure that everything is as good as it can be, and he promised a new pool next time we arrive. Marco the bike manager is a fantastic guide, but also gives you a history lesson of the area when you ride with him - very interesting and fun. I have been bike riding in this area several times but Marco really knows every little road along the coast and also in to Menton/Nice area. Good food and great staff, nice clean rooms, what more can you want. 2 min walk to the beach, and nice secure car parking was also important for me.

"Four days in italy"
Sue C, 27 Août 2016

What an amazing hotel. Comfortable. Helpful staff. Excellent breakfast and two mins from the beach with discounts for the sun loungers. Really nice place to stay and if you like a bike ride then this place is ideal. The staff are very polite and go the extra mile. Really enjoyed it

"A great find"
Adrian H, 13 Novembre 2015

We spent two very enjoyable nights at this hotel. The staff are very helpful and friendly (Francesco)' rooms comfortable and parking next to the room very convenient. Short walk to the ocean and village where there are several good places to eat. Only negative was some small noise from the road (ss1).

"So nice we stayed twice!"
holidaytraveller982, 21 Octobre 2015

This hotel is a gem! We loved it so much we came back after our sojourn to southern France. The rooms are so clean, a good size, an excellent new mattress, nice soap, shampoo, and lotion. The breakfast is very good with delicious pastries as well as the usual items. They will make you an omelet and great cappuccino. We stayed in different levels of rooms but they were both excellent choices. We liked having our car right outside our door. We were so comfortable here and it is a wonderful value in a super location. Enjoy walking along the waterfront one block away.

"Great place!"
yourworldreview, 04 Octobre 2015

All around top notch place! Best hotel in Italy! Multilingual staff professional and will assist you any way possible night or day. Best service I have ever had in Italy. Room is brand new, 2 person shower and giant TV with hundreds of channels from all over the world.

"Very nice, clean rooms, perfect location !!"
Serge T, 02 Août 2015

CLEAN rooms, spacious enough. Hotel very well located, less than 3 minutes from Santo Stefano "center" where the restaurants and shops are. Selection at breakfast was not huge but of good quality. Great and friendly staff.

"Fantastic location"
Sal347, 15 Juillet 2015

Just stayed in this hotel and really enjoyed it. Nice room with parking outside each room, felt like a motel. Right across the road from the beach and next to the lovely bike track. We ate in the restaurant, although not a large choice the food tasted home made and was delicious.

"Passing By On the Way to Italy"
retired32, 07 Juin 2015

We stopped at this charming hotel because it was in a small town just off the highway on our way to Milan. It looks like a motel. You could park your car right by your room. It was close to the center of town. Unfortunately we were there on a holiday and everything in town was closed. We had to eat at the hotel. It all turned out well because the food at the hotel was quite good. The only problem we had with the hotel was that the wifi was weak.

"Perfect stay for cycling and shopping"
traveldesy, 02 Avril 2015

Lovely hotel for a cycling or sight seeing holiday. Great shower and comfortable beds. Rooms facing the cycling track are the best. Breakfast a bit limited but coffee good and fresh fruit was available. Close to Sanremo.

"Best Motel I've ever stayed in. "
Nico_Idskov, 20 Septembre 2014

This "Hotel" combines the best of both worlds with it's hotel style rooms that would not be out of place in any 4-star worldwide. But opposite the room-door leading to the hallway there is a Motel style door leading to your own little parkinglot ("carport") I would still classify this as a Motel, but the rooms and the service have little comparison with what you would normally consider at Motel and make you feel like you are staying in an upperclass Hotel. I can wholeheartedly recommend staying at the Anthurium. A small tip is to go for the economy rooms that include breakfast at the same price as standard rooms. Rooms are the same and only location separates them. But the difference is almost nonexistent.
