My son was starting university at Science Po campus De Mento. We stayed in the hotel while we were sorting out his uni accommodation. I intend to visit again and definitely will stay again in this hotel

Great Location with a Beautiful Rooftop We had a wonderful stay at the Best Western Hôtel Méditerranée in Menton. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. Its location made it easy to explore everything on foot. It's within walking distance of Gare de Menton, the beaches, the old town, and the local markets, so we rarely needed transportation. One of the highlights was the beautiful rooftop restaurant and bar. It was the perfect place to relax with great views after a day of sightseeing. The staff was friendly, and the hotel offered everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. If you're looking for a comfortable, well-located hotel in Menton, this is an excellent choice.

Nice hotel conveniently situated for beach and old town. Breakfasts very good rooftop restaurant nice but expensive. Beware if you need wheelchair accessibility, the rooms are cramped.

I had a wonderful stay at the Best Western Menton. The location couldn't be better — just a short stroll to the beach, great restaurants, and an easy walk to the train station for exploring the Riviera. It's also conveniently close to supermarkets and the Menton food market, which made picking up snacks and fresh produce incredibly easy. My room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a lovely sunny balcony where I could unwind and listen to the constant birdlife — such a relaxing touch. The staff were consistently helpful, and the rooftop terrace became one of my favourite spots to enjoy a cuppa while taking in the beautiful views. A fantastic stay in a perfect location.

Good basic hotel. Clean. Good location. We had the room on the side of hotel so no noise coming from the road. Carpet smelled bad.

We were in room 605, triple room (huge) with balcony at the front on 6th floor. It can be noisy at 6am onwards with street cleaning and collections, so not good if you are a light sleeper - we always have ear plugs regardless of hotel, just in case. Impressive breakfast - huge choice - starts at 6am until 10.30, so it (for us) never very busy - we went at 9.15 each day. lovely rooftop terrace with happy hour 5.30 - 6.30 , half price cocktails. Reception Staff very friendly and helpful - we had assistance with internet connection on our mobiles to the hotel wi fi, and also with help with SNCF App for train bookings.A Room for your luggage is available the day you check out if your flight is later in the day. The Hotel corridors are in need of a facelift, but this shoud not put you off. Two small lifts service the floors which optimistically take 5 people - 3 is more the case, particularly with luggage.

An excellent 11 night stay at the Hotel Mediterranee, Menton. The room overlooked the rear of the hotel and was quiet, as requested. It was very clean, with a comfortable bed, towels changed on request and plenty of hot water for showers. The buffet breakfast catered for all requirements but could be busy at times, weekends in particular. We had one evening meal in the restaurant which was very nice and would definitely book this hotel again on our return to lovely Menton.

It's interesting that in the UK Best Western, I think it's fair to say, is a brand wouldn't be regarded as a particularly special hotel chain ( we've always found them to be fine) but our visit to Menton showed that it can be excellent. So what did we experience? The Reception staff were consistently helpful and friendly. Our room was well looked after and had everything we required . I don't think anyone could really complain about the breakfast. Yes , on occasions it was a bit busy but there was never any shortage of food and the choice was excellent. The team there always made sure things were “topped up”. The rooftop bar was one to be enjoyed especially “happy hour” and we were lucky the weather never caused a problem up there. The sun always shone . As for the location, we found it great as it was a short walk from the fabulous seafront , you were soon in to the old town and a 10 minute walk from the railway station. We used the station a lot to travel across the border to Italy and back down the French coast. Trains were regular and inexpensive. Yes it was the end of April so it Menton and the hotel may not have been super busy ( apart from May Day !) but we found it a really really good place to stay and we were delighted with everything.

Menton lovely place, not far from the town or the train station. When I arrived at the hotel there was a lovely receptionist who was very nice and helpful. Then the next day there was another receptionist who was very nice and helpful, told me where to catch the bus and what number bus. Respect to them both. It make life easier when they are happy to help you. Thank you

This was a great value for money stay 10 minute walk from the station in the centre of Menton, close to the main pedestrianised shopping street and 10 minutes walk from the old town. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the breakfast choice was excellent. Rooms are a decent size with good bathrooms all very clean. Tea/coffee in the rooms although there was a sign indicating that this was also available in the breakfast room in the afternoon. A nice touch was the offer of a bottle of water to take with you on check out. Menton itself is a lovely town and the cobbled alleys and streets in the old town worth wandering around. Visit the cemetery at the top of the old town for amazing views and if a rugby fan, visit the grave of William Webb Ellis.

Hotel in city center with parking.You can move everywhere by foot and train, no need to move the car. Room and bed are confortable. Unfortunately I found some dust on the beside table. Breakfast is very good, with local products and there's the possibility to make fresh orange and lemon juice. Personal at the reception kind and gives good references.

Good location for the centre of town and the beach with nice rooms. We had a larger than average room with balcony.Air con worked fine. Breakfast is plentiful but the room is a little cramped for the number of guests so get their early. We didn't find the rooftop bar to be very efficient. Sometimes housekeeping was a little hit and miss so needed to request new toilet roll more than once.

Second time to stay in the hotel and found the staff at the front desk very helpful and pleasant to deal with. This time we went half board food was nice but after three days I would have liked a change of menu otherwise no issues with the evening meal. Breakfast time can get very busy so try and avoid the rush hour

I arrived at 23:30 to find out that my reservation did not exist. Also no available rooms. Even though I checked in remotely and even though I received the welcome message on my WhatsApp. my reservation did not exist. Luckily there was a no show and I used their room for the night, which I was told the next morning that I could use for the remainder of my stay. Their main concern was me to pay as soon as I got downstairs the next morning. Nobody was even close to be apologetic or to even say sorry about the trouble we put you through last night. Very bad customer service.

Hotel was reasonable, location was good. Welcome was not great and no hot water on first night. Good carpark
Late in the evening, a huge cockroach appeared in the bathroom and scared my wife af. After a short unsuccessful hunt, it ran under the wardrobe into the room and kept us in fear with its invisible presence all night long. The hotel is not bad, but be prepared meet face to face with some insects.

As a solo traveller I felt discriminated by the frontdesk staff. The hotel has a great location though, between treinstation and town center. Only five minutes walk from the beach. The room was really ok, loved the bright and modern bathroom with walk in shower. Refrigerator working properly. Cleaning was good but one of the cleaners left my door open one day after job done. This I noticed when I returned late in the afternoon. But then the frontdesk staff… They made a double pre authorisation which I noticed by accident. They had no clue, could not find anything in their paperwork and “had to ask the manager”. Next day still no answer when asking at front desk, I had to return the next day, was their answer because it was too busy. This turned out to be their approach when I had a question. They helped others first, asking me to wait. Also the tourist tax was charged double, I noticed. Again, this would by solved during checkout. Again, on my departure date, one staff member asking me to wait since she wanted to help others first. I am still waiting for their 10 euro refund… NO apology for their mistakes, giving me a bad feeling of giving them extra work. I remained polite during my stay but could not figure out why the were helping other guests, giving them maps upon arrival and water bottles as I was ignored. This is discriminating towards solo travelers, dear front desk. Please bear in mind that paying for single occupancy of the room is only a few euros less than double occupancy. Honestly, I felt really bad during my stay and shall never return. I never experienced anything like this while travelling solo. So , I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed here with a group of cyclists who were about to embark on the Route des Grandes Alpes from Menton to Lac Leman. The rooms were lovely, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the food in the rooftop restaurant was exceptional. But by far the most amazing thing about this hotel was the staff. Everyone we met - the lady cleaning the rooms, the receptionists, the night receptionist - couldn't be more helpful and friendly. We'll definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Menton.

The hotel is clean and it's just 15 minutes walking from the old historical center, the team is motivated, professional and dynamic, the position is excellent and they even have an underground parking that is so so useful when you need to discover the little cities of the French Riviera where is always difficult to find a space for the car. Recommended!
