A nice place right off the freeway in San Dimas. My wife and I were traveling and looking for reputable brand named hotel on the least expensive side and got a deal at this location. It does look like it was perhaps purchased and/or taken over as a result of the pandemic as there were still a lot references to social distancing and ‘clean' vs. ‘dirty' pens at the front desk. Overall, we were pleased with the facilities that we booked a second night. Although there were some flaws (bathroom exhaust fan was not working, there was only one ‘cable' channel), the room and facilities Including the pool and hot tub were overall clean. I would recommend this location to stay at.
The rooms are clean! That's not so common, unfortunately. The bed was comfortable and the area was quiet. I love the courtyard garden, especially the blooming rose bushes. Breakfast was the same choices every day of our 3 night stay. That part was starting to wear on me. But the eggs are cooked to order by the staff; so, that's a plus!
I think overall the rooms are nice and clean but they are kindof weird about being with ur family ir friends they make u feel like you cant have no one over orelse they will charge u . Other than that its a nice place great pool
The staff was available all the time and they were very friendly. The room was very clean and the pool was extremely clean speacially the jacuzzi
One of my favorites always friendly and ready to please. Very clean and breakfast here is great I always look forward to coming back.
The rooms here are no longer sufficiently clean or kept in good condition. The rooms suffer from heavy use & need a remodel. The only great thing here is they still offer made to order omelettes with home-made pico de gallo for breakfast and pancakes/waffles. But they got rid of fresh cut fruit, so now everything else is grab & go.
Every single electronic was unplugged when we arrived. We thought things were broke at first then realized the tv, the microwave the fridge and every single lamp in the room was just unplugged and we had to pull out furniture etc to plug everything in. Seemed a little strange, but then everything worked. Heating/AC did not work upon arrival and they could not fix it our first night, someone did come and fix it the next morning while we were out. Not the comfiest bed but otherwise no issues. It was clean which is the most important for me.
We booked our stay at this hotel 3 months early. We specifically told them that we required a first floor room since there is no elevator and we are senior citizens who have trouble carrying luggage upstairs. When we arrived after a long day of travel, we were told that all the rooms on the first floor were taken, even though our request was noted in the computer file. Even though we were exhausted, my husband had to drag our suitcases up the slippery stairs. In the morning we went down for breakfast. It was extremely dark and there was no lighting at all. We again had to navigate the slippery stairs IN TOTAL DARKNESS. When I complained to the assistant manager, she told me that she would let the manager know what had happened. She said that if I didn't hear back in 5 days, I should contact the manager, Michelle. I did not hear back. I called the hotel 3 times and emailed Michelle twice. One of the people who answered the phone told me that Michelle never returns calls!!! I am shocked that a customer would be treated with such disrespect. Needless to say, I will never stay at this hotel again.
My wife and I have stayed here frequently and are satisfied with cleanliness , staff, location and amenities. Nice community and good selection of restaurants and fast food establishments nearby. You will not be disappointed with Best Western of San Dimas.
Great place to stay if you are in the area. We weren't staying long enough to experience the pool and still cold but looked nice. The rooms were nice, and the staff was pleasant. The location was idea for the business that we were in to do. We would stay there again in the future when business calls.
Fantastic place to stay and an unbelievable breakfast made to order. Pool and hot tub were excellent, parking area was great and the property secure as you require a key to get into the gate. Our room 116 was fantastic.
I love this location. It's clean, quiet, close to a lot of places. One of the cleanest hotels I've stayed at. They offer a warm breakfast every morning. The staff is always very friendly. There's always enough parking.
Not up to standard it used to be. Prices have been raised and quality is down. Essential items were missing from the room and front desk was irritated when I asked for them to be brought up to room. Sink was clogged. Extra refrigerator in room taking space.
The minute you step in the Lobby ,you feel like your home! The rooms, are clean, and all ready for a restful stay ,just for you! And the breakfast, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm GOOD!! So you can't go wrong here! Come one ,,,,,,,come all!
This was the best hoteI ever stayed at! I would highly recommend this hotel. With easy access to many attractions. I was graduating from the University of la Verne and was advised to stay here. I highly recommend staying here.
Great place to stay while visiting the Claremont colleges. Clean. Decent breakfast for free. Pool was freezing cold! Nice big rooms. Easy, 15 minute drive to Claremont campuses, which were amazing btw. Go Scripps!
Sold completely stale food to me. Jacuzzi doesn't work but was warm. The staff and management are not familiar with customer care all that well. They are not afraid to accuse you (without proof) and charge your card an extra 250$ on top of your stay for something you never did. Careful about this establishment people.
I stay in San dimas very nice quite place clean rooms customer service good great place to stay with family children they have a microwave coffee maker fridge very nice especially if you have little that need milk to sleep
The breakfast was DELICIOUS! Conveniently located to many coffee and food places, easy highway access. Out room was nice and we enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay here again if ever in San Dimas.
The hotel's location is close to nearby restaurants and shops. The breakfast was exceptional and both the staff who prepared the breakfast and the front desk were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to others. It is quaint and quiet. The only negative is there is no elevator and you would have to take the stairs to the second floor. I am grateful our room was on the first floor. The rooms are clean and renovated, the shower was really nice.
All I needed was a place to sleep through a scheduled power outage at my home - I use a CPAP machine. This place SO exceeded my expectations that I regretted not checking in earlier and being able to use the facilities like the BEAUTIFUL pool and garden area - a true oasis. TV had hundreds of channels available, and the wifi was reliable enough for me to stream a movie on my phone.
My family and I stayed here and it was such a cool spot. It was located in downtown San Dimas. It was really quite, even though there was a train track right behind hotel. Parking lot was well lit in the back of building. The room was really bug and spacious. The beds were super comfy. Really enjoyed the stay and will be returning in the future.
I stayed here because it was close to a friend that we were visiting. I had no expectations based on the pictures, but reviews were very positive. The front desk personnel were very helpful, nice, and professional. The rooms were a bit dated, but they were clean, spacious, and comfortable. The shower was very comfortable also. There were several restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was complimentary and actually very good for a complimentary breakfast. Food was made to order (eggs, omelets, sausage or ham, pancakes, waffles, etc. The chef was nice and quick. There was adequate parking and the environment felt safe and had easy access to the freeway. Overall, it was a great experience.
a clean quiet hotel with comfortable beds and a better than average breakfast experience. will be great when the gold line opens and then you will have access to all over the Los Angeles area. walking distance to many places to eat.
I checked in and immediately found ants all in the bathroom and tub. The clerk told me I could come and get big spray so clearly they know about the problem. No one apologized. I had to clean dead ants the next day before taking a shower. Horrible experience!
Clean, very comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast, beautiful pool area. We have been to this hotel many many times over the last 5 years. When in So Cal, this is where we stay. The staff is wonderful!
We were driving from LAX to Las Vegas and this Hotel is a great place to stop for the night. The night reception desk manager was friendly and especially helpful. Nice and large room. Comfortable bed. There are some restaurants in a short walking distance (less than 10 min). The breakfast was good with eggs / omelets cook to order.
The hype is well deserved, great hotel. Rooms are absolutely huge. I would say the interior is more dated than I was expecting, but it's so well remodeled and painted, who cares? Staff was great, made to order breakfast, you cannot go wrong here.
My wife and I stayed there two nights a couple days ago. The only ground floor room available was Handicapped, that isn't the issue. The room is in desperate need of an upgrade. First no tv remote in the room so we tried to use the room phone which did not work. Second the coffee maker missing the coffee basket and no part to replace it. Third the worst is the condition of the king size mattress. It was so soft, fatigued just worn out. It should have been replaced a couple years ago. If you sat on the end of the bed the head board end came off the ground. The absolute worst mattress we ever slept on. Oh yea also a broken door security lock. The only thing good about this hotel was the breakfast but that didn't make up for the lousy sleep.
This hotel is a diamond in the rough. An absolute gem nestled right in the heart of old town San Dimas. Rooms are quiet and clean and staff is absolutely amazing. The complementary omelettes are absolutely delicious and all breakfast buffet items are fresh. I can't wait to stay here again.
We have stayed here many times over the years and never had a bad or unpleasant experience. This time was disappointing, because... (1) a popper bug was in my son's bedsheets and crawled on him around midnight; (2) around 10:00 on the morning of our departure, housekeeping entered the room, which had the privacy hanger on the outside of the door, without even knocking first, and only when she saw my son in bed did she knock (LOL) and then apologize. (This is inexcusable to me, since the privacy hanger was on the door, it was at least an hour before check-out time, and she only knocked after opening the door!); and (3) the hot tub (always a highlight for me because it's such great therapy for my aching muscles and rusty joints! and a lovely way to meet and chat with other guests) was closed due to high heat. (We're having a heat wave right now, and I totally understand the safety issue of an overheated hot tub, but wondered if fresh cold water perhaps could have been used to cool the water down to a safe temperature? Rightly or wrongly, I always feel cheated when I've paid for a room and discover the hot tub or pool is out of order...even think even a slight offset from the room rate would be a nice gesture for the inconvenience of an unusable/inaccessible amenity like that -- or -- how about posting notice of the closure on the hotel's webpage, or mention of it when room is booked to give advance notice?); Oher than the above issues, the pool was sparkling and refreshing; cooked-to-order breakfast delicious (eggs benedict always a favorite here); grounds and landscaping and pool area were well-maintained; and the desk staff were perfectly friendly and professional -- all always appreciated!
This is an absolute gem of a Best Western. The grounds, pool and rose garden are kept in very clean and well maintained order. The rooms are quite decent and comfortable and the breakfast selection is excellent. Say hi to Alberto who could literally be doing any job from check-in, to gardening to cooking your breakfast! You will not go wrong here... great stay!
The property is really nice with a lot of roses growing in the courtyard. The architecture of the hotel is very nice. The room with two queen beds was large and clean, with comfortable beds, microwave, and refrigerator. There was a couch and chair, and a desk and desk chair in the room and plenty of space for our luggage. We stayed in Room 110 and enjoyed it. This is the place we will stay whenever we visit the area.
Customer service was very good. Front desk was very helpful. Rooms were clean& bed was very comfortable. There is a cook that prepares your made to order breakfast. My omelette was delicious! My only complaint was the shower head, not enough pressure. I would definitely recommend this hotel if traveling in the area!
We have stayed here 3-4 times with our daughter in college nearby. Small shop for food and drinks if you arrive late and need snacks. It's in a good area, we like the hot breakfast and comfy bed. It's a smaller hotel with all rooms facing inward, which we like. We will continue to stay here if they keep up the quality of the beds and breakfast.
Sometimes you book hotel rooms and get there and find it looks nothing like the pictures. This wasn't the case and it was very quite and enjoyable. The staff was nice.. got me checked in fast and on my way.. The area is nice. Shopping is within a few minutes if u need anything while on vacation or before you hit the road. There's a gas station next door. And food on the some block.
Very nice facility. Awesome staff. Very nice and clean room. Tasty breakfast. Great location. Love San Dimas. Been there numerous times. Keep coming back. Always look for a Best Western location when traveling. Can't beat the price and quality.
This spot was what the title of the review says, quiet, clean and comfortable with friendly staff and great breakfast option in the mornings as well as in room coffee and a small convenience shop at the front desk. Highly recommend if you need to stay in this area!
Overall it was a great stay. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was very courteous and helpful. The room decor was a little outdated but the price was still ok. The location is great because it is close to highway, restaurants, and shops.
I've lived in the area and never had a need to stay at this hotel until a couple of days ago. We moved last year and decided to come back to town for a visit. My 10 year old son and I were met by Neddy, a friendly receptionist, and then checked in to a clean & tidy room! The next morning, Nick, (the cook with a vibrant smile & warm welcome), Hooked us up with a delicious & hearty pancake and omlette breakfast! Needless to say, we enjoyed our stay. (But ask for extra towels cuz they're limited in the room)
I typically stay at Best Western Plus, due to the fact that the facility tends to be nicer and have better accommodations than a standard Best Western. I was pleasantly surprised at this hotel is very upscale, has large comfortable, quiet rooms and the staff is incredibly friendly. The breakfast in the morning was hot and made to order.
The staff was very helpful and fast. They were able to get us a room next to our family members that were also staying there. The breakfast is better than any other complimentary breakfast I've had at a hotel.
Our tennis team traveled to a tournament at the Claremont tennis club and stayed here. It felt like a tropical resort. While the rooms are tired, most open onto a lovely pool and rose garden area. It's possible to sleep quietly with the window open. Additionally, the cooked to order breakfast was excellent. It's not fancy but I was a very happy person in this small, well located boutique style hotel and look forward to a future visit.
the room was clean with nice queen beds and the breakfast was a nice amenity which we utilized for both days! The location was perfect for our needs which was to be near our grandkids which is why we stayed at the Best Western for the Halloween weekend.
This is a lovely, lovely place to stay. The rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast in the morning is excellent--fresh coffee, eggs to order, waffles and pancake to order. The staff is friendly and competent. This is our favorite Best Western
The room was large with a sitting area. All rooms surround a pool which makes for a resort feel. The room was cleaned nightly, such a rarity in these times of Covid! The breakfast was really good, the woman cooking made me perfect eggs over medium. I make these for breakfast every morning practically and I'm nowhere as good as she was. Impressive. All and all a really nice stay, especially when you consider the price!
Great pool and amazing staff! A HUGE thanks to Neddy for going above and beyond to create a memorable experience for a few guests from Canada. We will definitely stay here again! The free breakfast received excellent reviews from our entire group and the location of the hotel is very convenient. I recommend walking down to Klatch coffee and trader Joe's for coffee and snacks.
The hotel and staff was wonderful. Especially Neddy at the front desk who helped us with everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms were clean and well maintained. The pool was really nice and we we enjoyed our stay all around. Would definitely stay here again.
This location is fantastic. The front desk staff was extremely friendly, the rooms were clean, the property was nice. They had breakfast in the morning made to order. The options were great. We were by the pool and it looked clean. You didn't hear any pool noise from the rooms. I will definitely return and highly recommend.
Excellent facilities and service. Great complementary breakfast. The staff wore masks, but no one used the Covid as a reason to skimp on anything. Rooms were clean. Interior patio and pool attractive. We extended our stay an extra one day without problem.
My parents had a wonderful stay while their escrow closed. Everyone was kind, friendly and accommodating. Family friendly atmosphere. You will enjoy your stay here. The pool area was a happening place, was nice to sit out there and have meals. Nice landscaping too. Clean and well maintained.
Stayed here while passing through San Dimas visiting colleges. I appreciated the free parking and breakfast was delicious. Room was as expected. Staff were very kind. Also did a load of laundry here, needed two goes in the dryer to get my clothes all the way dry. The pool was alright, but the hot tub needs a solid scrub down. Our room was right next to the pool so quite a bit of noise during the early evening, but I didn't mind it, everyone was out by bedtime. Overall, I'd stay here again.
This BW Hotel has a great staff with a very nice garden type landscape and pool yard. Located near many shops and market and not far from a couple of Freeways. Quiet and safe. They will bend over backwards to try to accommodate your every need. We are senior citizens so we need some special perks sometimes. It has never been a problem to ask for and receive from their staff what we need. We are very happy with this Hotel and we are no longer looking for any other Hotel to stay in when we visit family in this area.
We were welcomed by a friendly staff in the lobby area upon checking in. One number from our party forgot their toothbrush so went down to the front desk to inquire about getting one. He was kindly given a toothbrush by the front desk staff.
All hotel employees I met were friendly and helpful. Especially the man checking me in. California is opening up after COVID. I called several hotels in the area while planning our vacation. I choose Best Western based on the helpfulness of the staff as well as the fact that their outdoor pool is open and the have a cook to order breakfast
Our trip was unexpected, a family member got sick. We were in the parking lot of the hotel calling hotels for prices. The first hotel I called the person on the phone was at a reservation center somewhere else and I was having a hard time understanding him. Next I called the Best Western in San Dimas and the girl answered the phone that way so I knew she was actually at the hotel. I told her we were looking for a room and we were in the parking lot. She said to come on in and she would be glad to help us. Everyone from the front desk, housekeeping, to the cooks were very friendly and helpful.
Stay anywhere but here. Room was dirty. Shower was moldy. Tv didn't work most of the time. Carpet so dirty it turned my feet black walking on it. House cleaning started knocking on the door at 8:00 am to see if I wanted the room cleaned even though there are door knob tags to alert them
This was well above the usual run of the mill Best Westerns. Large comfortable rooms, great setting, good breakfast, within walking distance to several good restaurants and overall quiet. Would gladly stay here again
Love to stay at best western I do not go anywhere else I love my best western effortblo just because I find myself there all the time were everywhere I get the chance I recaman anybody to go there and see for yourself you will be able to be safe with your family or your friends
Having a freshly made omelette for breakfast was a lovely surprise as was the free happy hour. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet. There is no elevator so if you have trouble with stairs, ask for a room on the first floor.
This hotel was close to our destination (Pomona Swap meet and car show. Check-in was quick & easy. Our room was spacious, comfy and clean. The property was super clean and very cute. Will definitely stay here again :)
Very nice, clean, safe, private, quiet. Not all areas of southern California are safe and ok to stay at. This is a good area. Courtyard design. Locking gates. Felt very safe. Great breakfast, service, employees. Will definitly go back!
This is an outstanding place to stay. We enjoyed the experience. Affordable, clean and comfortable. Our whole experience was exceptional. I would stay there again, and recommend this hotel to anyone looking to relax and enjoy.
Best Western San Dimas This hotel is nice but some of the people that work there are awful. We stayed there for one night November 8th and checked out at 11, we had a collegiate game to attend at noon. We took our stuff and left, waved bye to the same gal that checked us in on Friday. We told her we were out of our room. They charged us for another night that we did not stay and even gave us a whole new reservation number for it. I called the hotel to tell them their mistake, but the manager only works for a few hours a day and Pamela, the person that answered the phone could do nothing or wouldn't do anything. This is a total rip off and giving Best Western a bad name. I have reservations on Dec 18th that I am cancelling right now.
Stayed at this property before and enjoyed the second stay as much as the first visit. Staff was very helpful and responsive. Property very clean and the rooms are good size. Made to order breakfast was very good.. Could use a decor update, but this is a very minor suggestion. One thing to be aware of is this is a two story property, but they do not have an elevator. Area was a nice place to stay.
This is the second time I stayed at this hotel and everything was wonderful! The location is great, very nice breakfast, and wonderful staff! Thank you for another great stay! Enjoyed the bar which had a great bartender and my room was very nice.
I have stayed at this property twice in the last seven months, and I will definitely being staying again. The property is set up so that all the rooms face the indoor courtyard and pool. Both times I have stayed the outside world noise was negligible. The have an evening complimentary happy hour which is quite the treat and the breakfast has made to order entrees. Plus my room rate for my stay was quite reasonable.
Wonderful service with free breakfast of cooked to order eggs, waffles, or french toast. Property is centrally located between Los Angeles and Anaheim. San Dimas is a very clean city. Will definitely stay again!
Great value!! Made to order breakfasts were awesome, and managers reception 4 days a week make this a great place to stay. Entire staff was courteous and helpful! Greatly enjoyed my stay and will definitely stay here again!
Clean comfortable room, nice beds. Good staff, friendly greet and easy check in. Easy parking and plenty of nearby restaurants in the area. Breakfast included made to order and a variety of other items.
Had driven 19 hours straight and found us a quite room before noon! She was sure we were away from the construction across the street. Also that the cable upgrade had taken place in our room so we would not be disturbed
The hotel check in was fast and generous with check in time. The facility was clean and welcoming. The room was well lit with lamps etc when needed and stayed dark in the morning to allow me to sleep in. The breakfast was made to order and delicious. Overall, great quality.
Some friends and I stayed at this hotel, which was convenient to the golf course where we played in a tournament. The room was nicely decorated. Liked the complimentary happy hour. Liked that the room had a mini refrigerator. Good place for a short trip. Will be staying there again in September for another tournament.
Perfect staff, perfect clean room, best breakfast ever, nice pool and hot tub, walking distance to many restaurants and bowling alley. LOVED THIS PLACE AND WILL GO BACK. It felt more like a resort than a hotel
I stayed in this hotel with my little family. My husband and I and our 3 girls. Visiting Raging waters! Hotel is VERY clean! Beds are SO comfortable! Breakfast is AWESOME! Alot of food place iptions..
This place is super clean and a great place for the 6 of us to stay. Its hard when you have triplets plus one to find a place that allows you to have 1 room. We have been staying here for over 10 years and every time its great. The room is clean, breakfast is good and its a good price. We will defiantly stay here again when we are in town.
A perfect little family get away! Had the best time ever. Everything was close by, I mean everything. We went to raging waters and felt like staying in a hotel for that weekend. The best stay. We slept what felt like we were on clouds ⛅️ phenomenal night.
The property is extremely clean as well as the rooms. The breakfast and the evening lounge drinks were very enjoyable. We booked two queens and got a King upstairs with no elevator, there is nobody to help you and were handicapped with a sever asthma patient. The ice machine on level 2 is broken down in the heat of the summer. No pool towels, no place to fill your water bottles, only the maids help you.
I've stayed at Best Weatern Hotels before and have never been disappointed. Although the room was clean I was shocked to find out there wasn't an elevator. Nor was there anyone to help e carry the numerous baggage up the stairs for our 3 week stay in California. Swimming pool was great but had to hunt down towels. Front desk didn't have them. None by the pool. Seemed to have a lot of permanent guests. They were roofing or repairing the roof outside of our rooms early each morning. Was happy to leave even if I had to make numerous trips up and down the stairs for our luggage.
If you are looking for a wonderful spot to vacation in the Los Angeles area, may I suggest The Best Western in San Dimas! It is clean and comfortable and centrally located between Los Angeles and Orange County attractions! The staff are so nice and accommodating, specifically Tiffany Wade. She went above and beyond with suggestions and reservations to make our families stay so fun and memorable!!! We are definitely staying there again!!!
Stairs were a problem - NO ELEVATORS - the lady at the front desk was very gracious and helpful! We swapped for a 1st floor room. We had two queens - a bit on the "hard" side, but still good. Air unit(heater) worked well and was easy to set. Good choice of seating and desks in the room with very plentiful lighting. Also had a night light built into the hair dryer unit. (clever) Bath amenities were fine - towels were really fresh and fluffy. Shower was strong - a bit hard to tone down - bracing. Shower had a built-in shower bar for balance. WiFi in our room was really powerful - about the best we've found.Took a little time to sign in. Breakfast had an in-kitchen chef for the meat/egg/pancake dishes. I had eggs benedict and they were really good. Had a choice of fresh fruit and cereals and juices. I must admit that I liked the breakfast very much, but I also love a breakfast where I can pig out too. Often like to go back for 2nds. We would stay here again gladly.
It was an awesome roo...better thanks expected! We had a beautiful view of the rose garden and pool area. The bed was so comfy and the room was super clean. The room was quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was also very good, made to order and steaming hot!
This hotel is a gem - clean, comfortable, quiet, run by friendly competent staff who fix a tasty hot breakfast to order. The property boasts all the amenities you'd expect from a quality business & leisure hotel, including affordably priced roomy, suites, but what makes this property really stand out are the spectacular flower gardens. The roses and jasmine were in full bloom on our early May visit and we felt like we were in someone's private estate, they are so well cared for. We always stay here when we're doing anything in Southern California - it's a convenient location for most area activities.
First of all, the staff at the front desk is very nice. *Breakfast was especially wonderful. Omelettes made to order and more. Very clean. The room was clean and beds were comfy. They have a nice laundry room, which was a life saver. My mixed feeling are mainly from the first day of our 2 night stay. We checked in on a Sunday. After checking in, we entered the pool area and immediately felt like this was a hotel where people lived. There was a large group hanging out at the outdoor tables that seemed very comfortable as if they lived there. One downside, is that that was the only shaded table area at the time. Wanted to hang outside with the family near the pool, but this group was literally there all day until we went to bed. In addition, that evening there was a domestic altercation in the room next door to us. Slamming doors so loud, my family had to make sure door was securely locked and we were a bit scared that night. We considered checking out early the next morning, but luckily we called the front desk to ask if the guests next door to us were checking out and they were. Our second day there was completely different. No "residents" taking up rent outdoors as if they owned the place, lovely quiet atmosphere. Again, the sweet staff and cleanliness are why we stayed. I would advise this property, if they do rent rooms by the week- not to allow these guests to loiter outdoors as if they live there, as to deter other guests from returning. This is a lovely hotel if you are in town for tours at colleges nearby.
The staff person who helped me book a room for an unknown duration (due to death of a close family member) showed an amazing level of kindness and support with all my lodging needs. Besides helping me find the best available rate and giving me a flexible check out date, she brought a small vase of hand-cut roses to my room along with a condolence card and a care package of snacks. Her level of compassion and thoughtfulness is so rare these days.
Beautiful "Southern California" style setting and grounds, central court is so pleasant. Very secure feeling, parking area well lit and room entrances inside locked gates and in view of the front desk. The entire facility is very well maintained and immaculate. We stay here about 3 times a year and are always welcomed by name and treated like family. For those traveling it is close to the 57 freeway yet enough streets away from traffic and noise. Plenty of good restaurants near by.
We stayed at four different Best Westerns on our recent road trip and this one was by far the most upscale—and also the most expensive. But worth it. Nice courtyard with pool, big room, very quiet. A beer and wine reception which we missed due to dinner plans. The usual BW breakfast buffet but supplemented with cook to order main items. Very central location. We enjoyed our stay!
The staff is always friendly. We continue to come back to this hotel whenever we're in the area. They have a beautiful rose garden too! The location is great near so many restaurants and cute downtown area of San Dimas.
The rooms and facilities are what you would expect from a Best Western, maybe slightly better, however - there customer service, on multiple occasions, and from different perspectives, is extremely rude, rushed, and just poor in quality. I'm not really asking a lot, other than courteousness, professionalism, and otherwise congeniality. I've received entirely better service in convenience stores and fast food restaurants. A little extra effort in the hospitality department would GO A LONG WAY
Top notch BW location. Great staff. Very professional and friendly; everyone smiles. Breakfast is fantastic. Made to order is incredible. Food outpaces local restaurants. Great local. Highly recommend staying here.
I really like this smallish hotel. We have been here several times and it is always very pleasant. Very clean throughout. I am not a clean freak but it is so noticeable. When the flowers in the middle of the property are in bloom it is very beautiful. The breakfast is pretty simple but well made and satisfying What I enjoy most is the staff. Cannot day enough they are great! Polite and efficient and they smile and greet you so nicely every day
We stay at this Best Western quite frequently to visit family in the area. We always receive great service, rooms are always clean & comfortable and staff always very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is always fresh and made to order.
I wish I could give 2.5 stars because the hotel was clean and the cooked-to-order breakfast fairly nice and it's a convenient to the 57 freeway and lots of shopping/restaruants. But how this got to be the top-rated hotel in San Dimas is mind blowing. It's an old motel that got tarted up by someone with a penchant for faux marble and lots of neutrals. Rooms arranged on two floors around an outdoor pool. No elevator, so good luck hauling that roller bag up the stairs. Rooms have connecting doors, which let in all the noise from the next room ... our neighbor had a charming vocabulary laced with expletives. And while management may respond that I should have called them ... this guy was just speaking in his normal voice ... that's how thin the walls are. I reserved a room with a king bed, but was told upon check in that there were no King rooms available for both nights of my stay, so they put me in a room with 2 Queen beds. I would have expected to have been told at @ point of reservation (some 3 weeks prior) or possibly via email before arriving. Also, those were the smallest "queen" beds I've ever slept in, so a little dubious about that. The rooms are dark (do not believe the online photos), the bathroom fan is as loud as an airplane engine. I did the express checkout, but never received my email receipt, so now am left wondering what exactly I was charged for. There are other options in San Dimas that sure looked a lot nicer than this (from the outside) ... I'd urge you to look for those!
Paid a premium because they advertised as having a hot tub and pool. Never received info about it not working until I arrived. Other hotels in the area without a hot tub were half the price. So the stay wasn't worth the money spent.
We stayed here twice in the last two months, and each time are impressed. Very clean and quiet, great breakfast, friendly people. The little details mean a lot, such as wiping down the breakfast tables with soapy water after guests leave. We will be staying here again.
Everything was neat and clean and well kept; the decor of the place and room accessories are a cross between traditional and modern (in a good way!). Breakfast was excellent: I had eggs Benedict and it was freshly made.
I have to travel to the area a lot on business. I have stayed at several hotels around there and picked this one because it is really like a home away from home. The staff are great, the property maintenance is top notch, and I love the "all suite" style of the rooms. I have plenty of space and can keep food a beverages there. The evening happy hour is always welcome. The bartender (should have asked her name) was so wonderful! Angela, who checked me in, couldn't have been nicer. Tiffany, the manager - always outstanding. I love the care they take maintaining the garden areas. It is really a lovely place. While it is a bit old, they keep it up so well.
My husband and I have beeen staying at this hotel two to three times a year for 20 years visiting family. The hotel was a Comfort Inn and then changed to Best Western! It is still rated the best in San Dimas. The service is still good, but we have noticed that in the last few trips that the rooms need to be updated! The pool and outside area are clean and really beautiful with a rose garden that surrounds the pool area! But, there are no elevators so you have to climb stairs is you cannot get a room downstairs and the noise level is really bad at times if you have a room downstairs! Also, our room had a awful sounding wall heating and air aparatus! They tried to fix it but it still was so loud you could not talk to each other! The room was very clean and the bed is great. The closet is awkward but doable! At least the rooms are large with a microwave and fridge, but our fridge did not work-it froze anything we put in it! The TV service is very basic, so if you like watching TV, don't count on seeing but the basic channels, lots of sports and maybe HBO. It is not great especially if you are staying for a week! The bathroom is large and very clean with okay bathtub and extra small shampoo and conditioner! There is no bath gel! There is a good cooked to order breakfast with fruit, yogurt, breada, ertc. offered! Th front desk personnel are helpful and accommadating service is good in the breakfast area! I just hope some upgrades will be made soon!
Came in from out of town for an early afternoon wedding. Tanisha was able to accommodate us and was able to immediately check us in to 1 of 2 rooms. We were stoked! It was just enough time kick up our heels for a few minutes and get ready on time. Breakfast in the morning was made to order and tasted great, facilities are super clean, which is very important to me. Tanisha was also there upon checking out, I was happy to see her. She asked if we had fun at the wedding, how's that for excellent customer service! Will definitely be back, thanks for everything! =)
This hotel is in a superb location in San Dimas, close to lots of restaurants and shopping. The rooms were clean, comfortable and large. The hot breakfast is included, there's a good selection and cooked to your preference by very friendly staff.
My family was very well taken care of. It was a small hotel with a beautiful courtyard that all people staying in the hotel gathered to socialize. It was clean and in great working order. Breakfast was fantastic and cooked to order.
We wanted a hotel we could base ourselves for a few days to visit the LA County Fair, this hotel was a great choice. Clean, good service, great patio and pool area, and close to a shopping mall, bars and restaurants and the beautiful down town San Dimas.
We had a first floor queen/queen suite. The beds were comfortable. But the room could really use a facelift. The furniture was extremely dated and old. The wallpaper was dark and depressing. At $200 per night, I was hoping for something a bit better. The walls were thin. You could hear conversations in adjacent rooms. Also, the pipes would knock about during the night whenever someone flushed the toilet. On the other hand, the staff was extremely nice and the breakfast was really good.
The facility is well maintained, the grounds and parking lot are very clean. The room is large and clean. There are no elevators in this two story Best Western, so be in good shape if you are on the second story. Easy access off of Cal Highway 57. Bonita Ave appears to be a main thoroughfare, but traffic noise in the room was non-existent. The shower and toilet are in a room separate from the wash basin and there is no counter or table in the shower room. The breakfast has a cook for about five hot items, but is also modest. Our room was in the back, but the grounds can be accessed through key controlled gates close to the parking surrounding the building.
This hotel was pretty much perfect. The price was right. The ease of check in/check out was effortless. The bed was comfy. The room was clean. Amenities were great. Breakfast fresh. Would stay again in a heat beat.
We had a wonderful weekend at the Best Western San Dimas. The room was terrific. The surrounding area was very nice. The morning breakfast was excellent--could not believe it was included! The pool was beautiful. The front desk was the best of all. Angie was very focused on making our stay as enjoyable as possible. Thank you! We have joined the BW loyalty program.
I love this location. Things at this location were very pleasant. I needed help to put my bracelet on so I asked the young lady at the desk to help me put it on, and she did. I believe her name was Tanisha. Very accommodating.
We checked in around 1pm with Tanisha she was wonderful. Gave us excellent service. I was here for class reunion. Very helpful opened the doors for us. Pleasant young lady. She was always smiling with guest very pretty young lady.
Stopped off overnight on way to Vegas as it was on route. Great hotel, clean, quiet and a great breakfast with loads of choice including a freshly made omelette of your choice. Had a lovely looking pool although didn't have time to use it.
This place was an peaceful and fun oasis for us. It was our first overnight in SoCal and close to Raging Waters. The pool was beautiful and warm. The room was good. The breakfast was good. If I'm ever back in the area this is the place I will be staying.
Best place ever, little pricey but you get what you pay for. Great room, well planed out, clean & comfortable. Good breakfast, several choices personally prepared for us and tasted great. We'd do this place again if a chance or need appears.
Spanish style hotel, only 2 stories. Staff is awesome, short order breakfast menu fresh and tasty. Be aware... there is no elevator, so all luggage needs to be carried to 2nd floor. Close to many restuarants and stores. Nice get away with pool, gym and business center.
It is an older property but well kept. I give San Dimas a thumbs up as a town, if you like quiet sleepy towns. The hotel actually had someone cooking omelets which were good. The downside is that at times there were lines to get your order and if you are in a hurry you will just have to settle for a bagel or something else. This is different than most hotels that have the pre-made eggs and sausage patties.
I read a recent poor review of the hotel complaining of high humidity, unfriendly people, etc. Southern Californians got to suffer through very high humidity in June and July this year. The Hotel can't control the weather. I stayed here twice in the past two weeks and will be staying here off on on for the next month and always stay here, even though several hotels are closer to my work location. All but a few of the rooms do not hear the freeway traffic! The train only goes be a few times a day and it's not when you are sleeping. The staff is very friendly! I have rarely had any issues with maintenance or cleanliness and have stayed here for over 30 nights in the past year. In reading the other reviews it is important that clients know, their are no elevators for the second floor. That is why all the elderly guests are placed on the ground floor. And for the reader who would not park their car near the dope smokers in the parking lot, I'm glad they are out there. They are hotel guests who can't smoke in their rooms, so while they are out there, it is less likely any of our cars will be broken into. The bottom line for this Hotel is that it is a good hotel away from home, and the cops have never been called for a problem during any of my stays!
This hotel did not feel clean, and the humidity inside our room was very uncomfortable: bedsheets felt damp, floor was grimy. Breakfast is made to order, which is a plus, but I would not stay here again because of room humidity and evening staff was not friendly.
The Best Western in San Dimas, CA is a wonderful hotel centrally located to all the main attractions in Los Angeles and Orange County. The staff is very welcoming and professional. We had the good fortune of having Tiffany take care of us during our stay. She went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The hot made-to-order breakfast is delicious and they also have a happy hour during the week! We highly recommend the Best Western San Dimas!!!
Stopped for one night. We encountered a very friendly employee in the parking lot on the way in. Desk staff was friendly also. The room was clean and comfortable. Bds and pillows were cozy. All door open to outside and face the pool. While small it looked nice. Just was too crowded for us to use. Also there are no elevators on site so you will have to carry babe up to the second floor. There were people smoking dope in a car out the back gate so we kept our rental car parked out front. We slept well and felt well rested in the morning. The breakfast was good. You can have made to order omelets, pancakes, or waffles. Good value for the price.
I usually try to save money on hotels and have done so in the past when staying in San Dimas. Unfortunately, the options there are very limited and the hotel I normally stayed at has had some rather questionable tenants and activites occuring there the past two times I have been in town. I therefore decided to spring for the extra cost and stay at the Best Western this time. All I can say is I will never go back to the other hotel no matter how cheap it is because the Best Western is awesome!!! The room was clean, spacious and wonderfully laid out. The bed was so comfy too!!!! Add that, the pretty courtyard and pool area, plus the made to order breakfast and super nice staff.... this is now my go-to hotel in San Dimas.
This was a great value! The room was clean and decorated tastefully. We felt very comfy! The pool was sparkling and the breakfast was cook to order. The staff was very kind and helpful. We will be staying here again!
Hotel choices are limited in the Claremont/Pomona/San Dimas area, which lowered my expectations of what would be available when we visited recently. I was pleasantly surprised to walk out of the lobby of this place to find a delightful courtyard! A pool and hot tub, wrought iron railings, lovely gardens. There is *no* elevator so be prepared to carry your luggage to the second floor. The pillows are heavenly. As a matter of fact, I'm trying to buy one for my husband and me! [Note to management: can you facilitate this?] And, I'm fairly certain, the bed was the most comfortable I've slept on.
Really well maintained. Nice spacious rooms. Lovely grounds. Nice pool area. Good made to order breakfast. Lots of parking. The hotel is older, but really kept nicely. Very clean. My home away from home
Beautiful setting, friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast, very well maintained rooms and property, convenient location to freeway, shopping and restaurants yet neighborhood quiet due to layout and very well insulated rooms. All rooms open to a secured central court yard, parking area well lit and camera secured, and 24 hour desk staff make for a safe and relaxed stay.
What a pleasure it was to stay at this Best Western. The room was large and very clean, as were the grounds and common areas. Access from the highway was easy. The breakfast was excellent-not your normal continental fare--French toast, eggs benedict, pancakes, etc. The pride in ownership really shows.
Spent 2 weeks in the hotel and I do not recommend it at all. Positive points: hot tub and big rooms. Negative points: Breakfast is average, laundry takes 3 days and you even need to go to the reception to pick it up (and they don't warn you). I ironed and while doing so so back residue ended up on my polo. When I told this to the reception they just didn't care at all and didn't want to fix it.
The staff is super friendly and the room was very clean. Breakfast was also good and the staff friendly. Would definitely go back and recommend to others. My daughter and I had stayed the night before at a "luxury" hotel and it was extremely cramped in the bathroom. Two people could not be in there at one time. Here, the sink and vanity is outside the toilet and tub area. Much nicer! Over all, it was a much better place to stay. I would choose this place over the other in a heartbeat.
We always enjoy the pool/spa area...always clean and roses in bloom a special treat. Spacious and clean room has a fridge and microwave and hotel is convenient to many restaurants for either fine dining or a quick meal when in San Dimas
Great breakfast amenities. Location centrally located & easy to get to. Friendly staff from chamber maids to clerical. Comfortable room. Parking was no problem even though we were there on a weekend. Relatives stayed there also and we were quite happy with our choice to stay at this establishment.
Pros: Room had lot of space with table, sofa & chair for visitors.Had desk for laptop. Area around microwave & fridge had lots of space to tuck cooler & other things. Bathroom had lots of space to move around. Bed was comfortable with extra pillows as I had requested.. Breakfast was good. Nice area with plants around pool with patio & tables. Cons: electric outlets on lamps did not work. Had to plug laptop into wall socket to charge it. Is a non-smoking hotel but there were people sitting at table on patio that were smoking so when you walked by to get to your room the cigarette smoke blew all over you. I smelled like cigarettes when I reach my room.
We were extremely pleased with this hotel. It was an older BW but clean and well kept and staff very courteous. We especially enjoyed the made-to-order breakfast. Location was good as quiet neighborhood, but there were several restaurants and gas close by. However, our team lost!!!
We stayed for 5 nights in November and this place was so good. Our room (109) was clean, comfortable and quiet and everything worked as it should. The staff are all great and the breakfast was excellent. Also they provide complimentary drinks (beer / wine) most evenings. There are a couple of shopping precincts nearby if you need any supplies and the hotel is very convenient for the Fairplex which was the reason for our stay. It is also close to the Freeway (210) and an easy (is it ever easy in LA?) drive to LAX. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again.
We had an excellent stay with Family at BW Sandimas. We stayed in 2 queen beds room and it was very spacious and had Microwave, Refrigerator and sofa/table and was very nice. The greatest highlight of this hotel is your choice of made to order breakfast items (4 choices). Each of us in our family had a made-to-order different item-French toast,Pancakes, waffles and omelette and it was do delicious and was made by the breakfast staff person within 5 mins. The only area that may need improvement is the in-room internet as we experienced frequent disconnections and slow-speed during evening-peak times. We would recommend this to anyone.
Great hotel, great service. The breakfast is amazing! Omelettes to order, eggs Benedict with a cook at the ready. Lots of variety not your normal pre-thawed buffet style breakfast variety. Room was very clean.
This facility remembers how to take care of their guests by staffing their hotel with people who truly care about clean rooms and excellent breakfast fare. The staff is very responsive to all needs. The location allows access to local shops and tourist attractions as well as access to most highways.
This motel is in a convenient location, with pleasant grounds and a nice pool area. It looks like an older motel that has been remodeled. We had a large room with a somewhat saggy king bed and a comfortable couch and chair. The room also had a microwave and a mini-fridge with freezer that made an annoying buzzing sound. The sink area with lots of counter space is separate from the toilet/shower room. The shower head was good. It was quiet at night. For breakfast they offered excellent made-to-order omelets, so-so fruit, yogurt, cereals, and breads.
I had a quiet room that was huge which a couch, chair, desk, microwave, fridge, and extremely comfortable bed. The shower water pressure was excellent, too. The room was spotless. There was a guy cooking breakfast each morning and he made me delicious omelettes both days. I really enjoyed my stay and will be back.
I travel to Glendora numerous times each year to visit relatives. There are very few hotels in the Glendora area so I usually stay at The Langham in Pasadena or Residence Inn in Monrovia. This time I decided to stay closer to Glendora and booked a “suite” at the San Dimas Best Western. I booked a “suite” with two Queen beds., Room 107. The room was a decent size, with a sofa bed, mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The bathroom had a bathtub with a separate sink area. Nice closet space. I was told the room was a “suite” because it had the mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker! ??? The mattresses in this room were softer than I like, but I prefer very firm mattresses, so this is just my opinion. Overall the room was neat and clean and was sufficient for the one night stay. It appears that all rooms surround the pool area and do not have outside doors to the parking area. All rooms are accessed through the lobby. The lobby is nice as is the breakfast area. The breakfast was very good and is cooked to order. My daughters loved the breakfast. This is a nice plus from typical breakfast at Residence Inn, Courtyards, Holiday Inns, etc. Overall, I was pleased with the room and would return for a short stay.
I have stayed many times at this hotel, both on business and for leisure. Every time I have been satisfied. The condition of the facility is very good. Rooms comfortable. Breakfast provided is excellent. And the location allows easy access to key freeways and secondary roads serving the local and overall Los Angeles area.
Our room was on the first floor with easy access to the pool and spa. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and the wine and beer happy hour with friends in the lobby, We had great internet service in our room,
I didn't think I was going to like it especially for the price. A little on the expensive side but was worth it in the end. The bed, blankets and the towels made it all worth it. AMAZING felt like I was home!!!
Stayed for two nights. Noticed regular maintenance being performed throughout our stay to keep up the property without causing difficulty to customers. Room was quiet and comfortable first night. 2nd night we discovered ants in the bathroom and a dog in the room next door, which to be fair, the hotel clerk was surprised about since apparently the guests next door were told no dogs. I would recommend as this is a pleasant facility. there is free breakfast cooked to order and free wifi; plus a nice pool area.and convenient parking.
Beautiful setting with a lovely rose garden in the central court/ pool area, the entire property is clean and well maintained, excellent security (lay out, locked gates, cameras and person on duty 24 hours), and friendly staff.
Great place with happy hour and great hot tub. Too bad the pool is not heated. Great staff and very helpful for all our friends/guests that had rooms here for our daughter's wedding. Awesome location!
Very clean and nice property, with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very responsive to every request that I made of them. Large guest room with nice in-room amenities. Good HVAC unit, which I was able to operate within my own control, and not overly noisy.
This hotel has poor and unprofessional management. Was near the bar area and noticed that the hotel manager was sitting at the bar drinking an alcoholic beverage with another guest. The manager said his name was Monzel. Also, other assistant managers are not even present to assist the front desk with difficult customers and help settle customer disputes and causes long wait times to check-in.
This Hotel is nice and quiet. The rooms are excellent and way better than expected. Bed was very comfortable. Maid service was excellent, Hotel staff were professional and courteous. Its has lots of dining and shopping opportunities all within a few blocks.
Loved the area and this hotel. I would love to go back on a non business trip and enjoy the area. The staff was nice and professional. The breakfast was the next level style...cooked eggs the way I wanted. Evening social hour (two hours) was a lot of fun.
This is an excellent hotel to stay in while in San Dimas. The complimentary breakfast is very good with many more options than usual hotel. The rooms are clean, bed comfortable, and free WiFi. The staff is very professional and friendly. Overall a great experience.
Comfortable hotel with good breakfast and internet service. Nice area. There are some restaurants around to have a good meal. Great service from the Staff, which helps their guest solving issues to make it a good experience.
San Dimas is halfway between Phoenix and Monterey Bay, making it a great place to stay overnight on a road trip to either city. We picked this hotel on a recommendation from a friend, and it's a good one. Easy to get to - half a mile from the highway. The rooms are mini-suites, with microwaves, a Keurig coffeemaker and a small refrigerator. We had a king size bed, which was very comfortable. The property has a pool and hot tub, which were great. As others have said, the cook to order (included in the room rate) is excellent, and a great improvement over other hotels. There's a manager's reception at 5 also, and a good glass of wine is always appreciated. The only drawback we found was the lack of an elevator.
From Latty and the hotel housekeepers who are excellent and protective, to the front desk personnel Maudie and Tiffany, my family has felt nothing but loved. I mention the above names but the entire team is what makes this hotel fantastic. They all work so well together that they complement the hotel brand. I have so much good to say I do not know where to start. This hotel is nestled in the heart of San Dimas with many ways in and out but only with use of your room key. The grounds are spectacular with palm trees, rose bushes, and their pet baby rabbit that quietly visits every once in a while. The pool area is fenced off allowing children to play outside and only visit under parents supervision. The Rooms, are one room suites with refrigerator, microwave, flat screen TV that allows PlayStation, unlimited wifi that accommodates many other devices all at no extra cost. It's the tangible items that drew me in and made me a customer for life. These complimentary items are the following: Coffee, wide variety of teas, hard boiled eggs, and yogurt available all day with sweetener. A complimentary breakfast that is so good, a omelette made to your liking, bagels and cream cheese, ham and or sausage, waffles or French toast. When you need service the front seat works hard to accommodate. Coupled with the top notched Management and exemplary staff. Whom All work well together to present only one view of their hotel. That view is comfort and security. The clientele existing presently are many returnees, collage students studying for their PHD, and corporate personnel I have been staying here for a few months and have never felt unwelcomed. Everyday we are met with a good morning and a smile. I hope you visit this hotel and see for yourself.
Had some work done at the house and couldn't stay so got "away" for StayCation and it was a very relaxing, peaceful stay. The breakfast was wonderful. The room clean. The campus quiet. I highly recommend it if you're in need of a hotel in San Dimas.
everyone makes you feel known and comfortable they always try to accommodate the room location an type of room required the breakfast that you provide is probably the best i have ever been provide at a hotel of you size and for free
Facility and staff was very nice. Room was clean and well appointed. We plan to stay there again next year. The breakfast was excellent, the check in and out was smooth, the location was very convenient.
rooms are very clean and service is great and affordable.close to many restaurants and quiet. i will highly recommend this place. The breakfast was nice. loved the new floors and remodelled bathroom. great!
Really nice hotel with a friendly staff, I enjoyed my stay there, the only problem I had was they tried to charge me a weekend rate for a Sunday night stayover, I was able to speak to the manager and they knocked $17 off, still to pricey compared to there weekend rate.
My husband and I travel a lot for business resulting in having to stay in hotels. Best Western is our preference for several reasons; the rewards programs is one of the best offered. For the most part the accommodations are upheld with a standard, and generally there is a breakfast fare. Those range from sometimes nothing (sadly to say) to sparse continental to hot prepared (still considered continental). Then there are the ones that have the cooked and hot served yet still prepared before hand and considered continental; there are some that serve just a bit more variety. But,then without being a premier there are the ones that cook your breakfast to order! Yes... this one is one of those, a fresh omelet, or eggs to your liking. In addition, they sometimes offer a complimentary wine and beer happy hour for their guests to relax with in their lovely courtyard. They uphold the BW plus standards and more. They make you feel like you're a real guest of theirs, not just a guest checking in for the night traveler.
It was clean, friendly, nice quiet environment. We were there for several days and one day we just stayed and sat around the pool. It was quiet and relaxing. We plan on returning as we dropped our daughter off at AZUSA Pacific University and it was the nicest and closest we could find with a pool. It's about a 12 minute drive to the university
I travel a lot for work and spend multiple weeks at this location a year. The rooms are spacious, breakfast is made to order, the pool area is great to lay out and tan, and it is very close to restaurants and grocery stores, all within walking distance.
Great hotel with nice, clean accommodations. Love the room, grounds, pool and breakfast! Staff, for the most part, were friendly and professional. Requested a late check out (1 hour) and was treated like I asked for the world. Also - used the pool in the early morning and obviously nobody cleaned it up from the day before ... only takes a minute to pick up towels and rearrange chairs.
Gym was missing equipment/parts. Trash cans are hard to find, didn't even have any in the business center. Front desk was friendly but when I asked about coffee was told "Sure! 24/7...i guess it was if you like Cold coffee Good breakfast. Could somebody explain to me this fetish for only 2 towels? Is hard to do with male and female since many females need a second towel for their hair.
I'd stay here again! The hotel was affordable, a good location, clean and offered good customer service. My daughter is now living in San Dimas attending school in Pomona and this location was perfect!!
I was so happy with thus Best Western! It was clean and modern. It was quiet. I couldn't even hear the next doors tv like in most hotels. The breakfast was fantastic and made to order with 3 different options. The price is a bit high but you get what you pay for and it is definitely worth it!
Great spot, Was privately built and used to be privately run. Close to three freeways. On / Off ramps can be confusing. Two story facility does not have an elevator. Restaurants & Country Dance spot near by. Local people are very nice.
The staff was very caring and welcoming even though I was there for a night. They inquired as to why and I told them that I didn't want to have to drive home after a night at the nightclub across the street. They were appreciative of it and commented on that.
Great stay. Property is near good food and shops. Clean grounds with pool & hot tub. On site laundry and and made to order breakfast a plus. Highly recommend this Best Western if staying near San Dimas.
I've stayed at the San Dimas BW Hotel and Suites now several times. I grew up nearby and we stay here when visiting my family (my childhood home gets full with other family members staying there, so a hotel is a "more comfortable" option. The hotel grounds are/have always been spotless, but also very well designed and current. I say this because some hotels can be "clean" but old and not visually appealing, or dated. This hotel and grounds are ready to be photographed for a commercial at all times. The rooms are large and very comfortable, and **always** spotless. "Shout out here for the housekeeping staff! Well done!" They also offer a surprisingly expansive breakfast and a beer and wine happy hour in the early evening. The staff have always been perfectly professional, welcoming, and friendly. Everyone of the staff make it easy to stay here (if you travel a lot, you know what I mean. Some places really make it difficult to stay at their hotel. Not SanDimas BW H&S - it's easy and comfortable to stay here). What else can I say ... this hotel was my first Best Western, and it set a very high bar for the franchise. :-). My best words of recommendation: I'd recommend this to my parents to stay if they needed a hotel in the area!! Excellent location overall, and within minutes of everything (Costco, restaurants, major highways, shopping - everything).
This motel is amazing was my third time being there staff is wonderful the breakfast is so delicious cooked right there rooms are quite large and very nice also pool and hot tub was great motel is close to restaurants and stores looking forward to go again!!! Thanks
Always a pleasure.. this gem of a hotel is my favorite one to stay at when I'm doing business in Los Angeles. Mauddie and Tiffany in particular are extremely friendly and helpful every time I stay at this location.
My husband and I have stayed at the Best Western in San Dimas several times over the years. It is by far the most welcoming and family friendly hotel we have had the pleasure of staying. Our concierge, Tiffany is always so accommodating and kind. She goes above and beyond to make sure her guests have an amazing experience. She treats us like family. I have seen her do everything from assist clients with their luggage, to making a cup of tea for a guest on a chilly night. From the lovely grounds, delicious made-to-order breakfast, friendly staff and our interactions with Tiffany, we truly consider the Best Western in San Dimas our "home away from home"!
Everything was perfect! The staff, food, room, pool, spa and location were great. I would recommend this Best Western. The made to order breakfast was my favorite and it was included in the cost of the room. This hotel was immaculate.
This hotel was clean and nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. I didn't use the pool but it was pretty and looked adequate in size and amenities. The location was good to local areas. I recommend driving straight down Bonita to the Claremont area. So pretty!
This hotel is clean and they do a good job overall. The breakfast is good, and the fitness equipment is kept in good repair. The room was tastefully decorated. Everyone was friendly and professional. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Inland Empire.
I went here on a little staycation and enjoyed all the amenities in the room as well as the lovely pool which is open till 11pm, delicious cooked to order breakfasts with plenty of options, friendly staff, very clean place. Notes: a/c in room is a lower wall unit. Interior lighting is a bit dim. Pillows are too soft for me; I brought my own.
If you make a reservation on line through the Best Western Hotel website, be sure to check the price the hotel is actually going to charge you before you travel to the hotel. Because each BW is independently owned, the rates the hotel charge are subject to change. I had a confirmed reservation, booked on line at the AAA rate. The hotel did not honor my confirmed reservation price, nor did they advise me that my rate was different when I checked in. I was able to get the hotel to adjust their rate for me, but my stay was still over $100 more than I had expected. I will say the hotel itself is very nice and well maintained with large rooms and very comfortable beds, We also noted that the rooms were very quiet.
We've stayed many times and they're always consistent, friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is superb and fresh. The roses garden is a hidden gem and beautifully kept. We love sitting outside near the pool for some relaxing time.
First time stay. Great customer service by Tiffany at the front desk. Our room was clean, morning breakfast was good and grounds immaculate. I would definitely recommend to others and stay here again.
This hotel is an example of how to do it right. Great management and teamwork results in a first-class customer experience from courtesy and helpfulness to room condition and functionality, to extra special breakfast service, no detail is overlooked.
The room itself was good and clean. 2 floors - no elevator and it appeared that all rooms face the pool area. Our room did not have a balcony window but a window facing the stairs/pool area. The room was quiet as it was a Monday Night so the pool area was very quite. Bed wasn't as comfortable as I like a firmer mattress than soft and it was a soft mattress. Based on location of hotel there was many dining choices close by.
Nice room spacious with a sofa. Refrigerator didn't work but as soon as I told them they sent a maintenance man to look at it. He changed it out after I questioned what timer he said he adjusted... there's no timer in the back. I asked if he adjusted the thermostat... he said he'd bring anther one which he promptly did.
PRO: Charming, quaint, comfortable little hotel. Enjoy the atmosphere and the homey feel. CON: Two story hotel but no elevator. They do have people that will help hall your luggage upstairs. However, if you can't do about 12 stairs, ask for a room on the first floor.
Very friendly staff, especially Tiffany at the front desk. She was so pleasant and provided us with great information. The rooms were very spacious and clean. We enjoyed the made to order breakfast. We were visiting nearby colleges and if our daughter decides to attend one of those, we will be spending many more nights at the Best Western San Dimas.
The employees are friendly and professional. The breakfast was delicious. There is a chef to make your omelette the way you want. The room was very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel. Close to attractions and very quiet.
Staff were very welcoming! The complimentary breakfast was great!...I order the eggs benedict :)Complimentary happy hour was a biiiiig plus! Rooms were very clean and big. Location was great because it was near a lot of restaurants and bars. They had a clean pool and even a gym room. Will be staying again!
Excellent value with large rooms, comfy beds and made to order free breakfast. Conveniently located next to freeways and shopping. Close to a quaint downtown area. Also offers a university rate for families visiting colleges in the area
Asked for more towels never got them room service was not that great or small trashcan was full and left other items on the counter next to the trashcan and they were left there when we return to our room upon arrival we waited for 10 minutes to check in after a 12 hour day of work wanting to get to our room if seen the lady at the front counter was out smoking a cigarette and we had to wait for her. Our tv kept cutting in and out not many channels to watch it was an all right stay
My wife and I traveled to San Dimas for a family member who was retiring. We stayed 7 nights at this hotel. The staff is very friendly and has their act together at check in. The hotel is clean and well groomed. The pool appeared clean but we didn't make use of it. We had a problem with neighbors of ours smoking in their room and yelling foul language at the top of their lungs. We went to the desk and spoke with Tiffany about moving to another room. She apologized, although not her fault, and gave us our pick of rooms. She assured us she would report the incident to the gm and it would be dealt with. The breakfast is very good and its fast. I would stay here again!
Stayed in San Dimas based on location/ reviews/ and price and so glad we did. We checked in around 9 pm and Tiffany was super nice and prompt at checking us in. We wanted to be in town so we could head to the Dodgers Opener on Monday. We reserved a king size suite. It was comfortable, but the pillows were small. Wish there would've been a few more bath towels also. Breakfast the next day was yummy, had a fresh egg white omelette and there was plenty of choices to choose from. The courtyard was nice and the pool area was appealing to the eye.
BW San Dimas offers a quality stay from their accommodations, location and amenities to their outstanding employees. Enjoy the clean rooms, facility and surrounding area. Walking distance to many retail and food service locations. Easy freeway access if you should choose to drive a pleasant distance.
I stayed at the Extended Stay right next store earlier and I highly recommend paying a little more and staying at this Best Western. It was much better and quite nice for a reasonable cost. There's a fitness room, good breakfast, evening cocktails Monday-Thursday, a small outdoor pool and a lovely interior courtyard with lots of roses. The staff were very nice. I got a suite on special for a multi-night stay and it was quite spacious. There is ample parking and though there were a lot of people there it was very quiet. To enter the area where the rooms are the gates are locked and can only be opened with a room key. So it feels safe and secure As a woman traveling alone I was very comfortable and felt safe here. I will definitely stay here again
We stopped in at the last minute, without a reservation, and got a room. Everyone we came into contact with on site was great; helpful, asked if there was anything else we needed. The site itself is wonderfully clean, inviting, and relaxing. The courtyard area is great for getting together with friends or family. The hotel is centrally located to any shopping one might need with plenty of restaurant choices. The hotel does not have an elevator so this may be an issue for some. We didn't need one and chose a room on the third floor. We walked up a set of stairs, not a big deal for us. I would stay here again, and I would recommend it to anyone who asked me where they should stay.
Spent one night here and was very pleased with our room and the BIGGEST TV in a motel room we've ever had! Great "made to order" breakfast the next morning. Quiet, close to freeway exits. Walking distance to shopping centers with plenty of restaurants.
This hotel was a great choice! Nice location, tropical outdoor pool, wonderful breakfast, and comfortable rooms. The entire staff was very nice and the complimentary drinks hit the spot! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!
We have stayed in several BWs and this one is by far the best that we have experienced. The beds were very comfortable. Everything was clean and maid service was excellent. This was the cleanest hotels we've stayed in. Breakfast wasn't just scrambled eggs, etc in hot serving containers. It was fried eggs or omelets cooked to order.
Very nice place to stay, the breakfast is very good. The rooms were very clean, and the bed was comfortable. We used the pool several times. We enjoyed our stay, and i would highly recommend this hotel, it is in a great location.
The hotel is amazing. The area is beautiful. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable with all the amenities right at your fingertips. We enjoyed time at pool and Jacuzzi. The breakfast was delicious and there was a large variety to choose from. We especially enjoyed the omelets that were made to order daily. We appreciated that they had a small convenient area that we were able to purchase beer, soda and other items if needed that could be charged to our room and pay upon check out.
Our room was large, with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was tasty with lots of healthy choices. Front desk staff were kind and helpful. Our room was at the end of the hallway and very quiet. We didn't go swimming, but the pool looked beautiful.
The room was neat clean, and spacious as all rooms are suites which include a couch that can open to a sofa bed if needed. This provides a living space. TV is a nice size flat screen tv and wi-fi is included. Bathroom is very nice and appeared new. There is a lot of counter space. Pool and area around the pool was very pretty. Free full breakfast is included. You have a choice of 4 hot items each day such as pancakes, eggs, omelettes, etc. Very tasty. The dining area needs to be larger as at peak times, there wasn't much seating available. I highly recommend staying here.
This Best Western has clean comfortable rooms, close to restaurants and is easy to find. The front desk staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. We would stay here again and in fact will be staying here again on October for another event.
The Hotel was very clean, quite and all the people were exceptional. The breakfast omelet I had was actually one of the best ever. Hats off to the chef! We were very happy and they had plenty of parking. We would recommend staying at their location and will in the future.
I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past while I am working in the area, but this was a last minute stay due to as family emergency. It was great to know I had a place I could trust to be comfortable and friendly with no issues. I have always been very pleased with this Hotel and was not disappointed this time, the breakfast is good the rooms are very up to date and well kept, and the staff is excellent. Also nice restaurants and shopping for necessities in the area.
This hotel is very easy to find and access on the freeways or surface streets. It looks very nice from the outside, and is even better inside. The rooms open to a central courtyard with a pool and hot tub. The only drawback is that there are stairs instead of an elevator to the second floor. The room was very clean and the king bed was quite comfortable. If you want to use the sleeper sofa you need to note that when reserving so that it will be made up in advance. We didn't do that and had to get the sheets and blanket from the front desk when we opened the sofa and found it unmade. You may also need to request extra towels too. Even though the room reservation was for 3 people we only had two of each towel. Those were small hiccups in an otherwise really nice stay. The room had a fridge and microwave and coffee-maker. The breakfast is a mix of items out for self-service and a cook who takes your order for eggs, sausage, pancakes and a few other cooked items. It was quite good and very filling. My husband used the guest laundry and found the machines to be new and in good working order. The price was very reasonable too.
Modern, comfortable Best Western. Close to Hwy 210 (Foothill Frwy) and Hwy 57 (Newport Frwy). If leaving/arriving to Los Angeles on Hwy 5 or Hwy 10, this is excellent location to beat some of the traffic in LA. We travelled to Anaheim everyday we stayed here. Trip took 20-30 minutes. Breakfast is minor buffet, however, a short order cook is on the premise to make you traditional hot breakfast as requested. you save time about $10 per person for the breakfast service. Staff friendly and competent. Grounds well maintain. San Dimas is a cute old suburb of Los Angeles Would stay here again.
Really enjoyed the stay and the great location. It's close to downtown and anything you could be looking for...the beds were comfy and the complimentary breakfast included a hot item like a made to order omelet or pancakes. The pool was kept very clean and it wasn't very crowded. A great stay at nice place.
From the front desk, the adjacent laundry room and an office were in clear view. It gave an overall sloppy first impression. The staff person who sat at a desk reading a newspaper appeared completely disengaged from her job, not looking up or offering to assist us at all. The staff behind the front desk were friendly but seemed tired and as if they job share based on their uniforms, not professionally dressed whatsoever.
Stayed here in the past - this hotel continues to excel. The made-to-order breakfast is wonderful. Rooms are always clean and comfortable. Helpful staff! Great location for use of highways I-210 and I-5.
I have stayed in many, many, many hotels during a 42 year business and vacation travels. This was a great experience!!!! Breakfast is as good as any 5 star hotel. I will defeinately stay here next time I am in California.
We were not familiar with the area at all but needed to stay near the West Covina area for baseball tournament. We were very pleased with the Best Western in San Dimas. It was close to everything we needed (the fields, restaurants, shopping, freeway). Our room was clean and comfortable and quiet. Nice pool and laundry facility. The morning breakfast was made to order which was a very nice feature - no warmers. The staff was friendly and helpful. Only concern was that our bed, although comfortable was not a regular queen bed - closer to a full size.
My husband and I are out of town for our business many nights throughout the year. Have been for many years now. We have stayed in just about all varieties of accommodations, but 95% have been Bestwestern hotels. Only variance would be if there was no B.W. close. This hotel is right up there with the high end hotels that offer a bed and breakfast. The room was nice and spacious, clean, comfortable and overlooked the flora in the courtyard and pool; a room nice to come to after a long day at work, not to mention an offering of a happy hour of beer and wine; there were no restrictions to taking your beverage to your room or out by the pool. But the bigger surprise was the very relaxing garden center courtyard with the lovely pool. Nothing like taking the edge of the day off with a nice glass of wine... by the poolside. However, there is another out of the ordinary... bigger surprise. The breakfast fare. At check in we were told there was cooked to order breakfast. We've had those before and they were good, but... nothing unusual or memorable. So, we thought this would be the same. However, we walked into breakfast at 6:00 a.m. to smiles, welcoming us with "Good Morning", like they really did care if our morning was good. It was. The gentleman behind the counter (with a big smile) asked what omelet we would prefer... the menu was posted on the wall... and waited for our answer. While he prepared our order we got our coffee, juice, fruit, selected toast. The plates were porcelain, silverware was nice stainless, nothing was the normal fare. Something to noted. Not only did we leave with a satisfied stay and well fed, the price was very reasonable for what we experienced and received. A nice little gem... in San Dimas. Don't hesitate...
This is a perfect Best Western - The Staff is Friendly - great rooms (all suites) - Hot cook to order breakfast - very clean... Best in the area Ive stayed in so far. The location is central to the LA County Fairgrounds, Winter Nationals, Restaurants, Shopping, the Freeway in all direction and so on - Just a great place!
My husband was in the hospital in Glendora so I was looking for an affordable hotel close by. I've stayed in a few of the San Dimas hotels but this one is by far the nicest one! The ladies at the front desk were extremely helpful in my situation. The breakfast was far better than I expected. To my surprise when I got there in the morning they had a Chef that cooks eggs, meat, waffles and pancakes for you. They also have something in the early evening that I wasn't able to go to but I'm sure it's just as nice.
This Best Western facility is beautiful. The location is perfect for walking to nearby restaurants and other locations. Gas station next door. The personnel working at the facility are extremely pleasant. Big smiles, great eye contact and are knowledgeable of their surrounding area. The breakfast was great and again the service was outstanding. A must to stay when in San Dimas.
I have stayed at this place before and was very pleased. My stay this time was also a good one. My only complaint was the reservations mixup. l made the reservation via the 800 number as I wanted to use my reward points to pay for the first night. I was over charged for the second night and was not given the room I had been told by the confirmation. There is a lack of communication between hotel and 800 reservations despite having a confirmation.
Large clean updated hotel and rooms. Buetiful courtyard with large pool area. Excellent breakfast included with omelette station. Easy access off the 57, 210 freeways. This is a jewel in a clean safe community 35 minutes from downtown LA
Spent 3 nights here. The room is very spacious. A/C worked well, bed made for great sleeping, didn't hear much for noise at night. The room was very clean. The grounds are nice, the staff was very nice and accommodating. Every evening they had free beer and wine in the bar. Cooked to order breakfast. Would recommend.
I love the Best Western hotel in San Dimas. It is my favorite hotel in my price range. Could be a favorite, too, of a hotel above my price range from what I have heard from other folks. Everything about it is top notch...the staff, the breakfast, the cleanliness, the comfort, the computer room, the location, the price. Love it!
This Best Western is "Easy On/Easy Off" of the I-210. Friendly Staff, Great Breakfast, Clean Rooms! Our only regret...didn't stay during the "Manager's Social" (We arrived on Sunday night for one night). Highly Recommend!
The hotel was nicely Landscaped clean and inviting. Hotel employees were very accommodating. The cook to order breakfast was very good and offered a wide variety of menu items. Room was comfortable and clean.
Loved my stay at San Dimas BW.! The rooms were spacious and clean, . The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast is the best I have had at a Best Western and I have stayed at more than 10 different Best Westerns.
Clean, quiet, reasonably priced hotel with excellent breakfast options included in price. Location was perfect for shopping, restaurants, and interstate connections. Staff were congenial and knowledgeable about the area. Close enough to walk to many places. Weather was too chilly to try the pool but the flowers and foliage were enticing. The aroma was heavenly. I only wish they had an elevator as carrying a suitcase up and down even one flight of stairs can be difficult at my age.
Our grandson graduated from Pamona so this was a very convenient location for us to stay. Great remodel and updated. The shower was wonderful and towels were good quality. Breakfast included in the cost was out standing with short order cooks making omelets and pancakes.
We have stayed here previously and decided to stay again during a very hectic graduation weekend. Our room was clean and the hotel was quiet which we needed after all the commotion of the events from graduation. Breakfast was very good!
The room was great since it was accessible and being a bit older made things easier. The breakfast was fantastic, you had your choice of 4 different items that they cooked for you as well as the ubiquitous breads, muffins, cereals, etc. Location was near the 57 so getting around is easy. Staff very friendly.
We always stay here when we visit family in LaVerne, Ca. It's better than every other motel in this area (we tried them all). Their cooked breakfasts has recently left something to be desired because of what now appears to be commercial pre prepared ingredients. Other than the breakfasts, this motel will exceed your expectations.
We visit San Dimas at least once or twice a year while visiting family. We stayed at this hotel when it was a Comfort Suites. As a Best Western, the Hotel Grounds are beautiful with lovely rose gardens surrounding the pool! Outside area has been upgraded with new tables and chairs and the accommodations have also been upgraded. The rooms are large with comfortable bed and Wi-Fi. Bathroom was also upgraded and amenities okay for a Best Western. Remember you are not in a Marriott, then you will be very happy with this hotel. Also great Breakfast and good service.
The room was spacious, and nicely decorated and furnished. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The pool looked appealing (but wasn't heated - maybe we will be brave and try it next time :) ) in the courtyard. The complimentary breakfasts are "cooked to order" (pancakes, waffles or omelet) with assorted pastries and cereals available. It was a quiet and relaxing location and we really enjoyed our two nights here.
I highly recommend this property. The room appeared to be remodeled with quality materials and fixtures. The room and entire property inside and out is immaculate. The property all around the outside and also around the pool was full of beautiful plants and flowers. The pool and surrounding area was very clean. The lobby decor was very inviting. The dining area was well stocked and very clean and well kept. There are rolls, muffins, bread for toast, cereal etc for a quick bite. Additionally, they offer omelets, pancakes, bacon, ham, sausage, etc. I had a ham and cheese omelet which was great and my husband had fluffy pancakes and sausage. I can't say enough good about this place. Even the telephones in the room are clean. It is so well maintained. The bed was a little too soft and low to the floor but we still got a good nights sleep. Five Star all the way.
This hotel is exceptionally clean and spacious. The grounds are well kept, the rooms were very nice and the breakfast was also excellent. Located in a very quiet area close to La Verne University. There are also good restaurants and shopping near by.
Great place to stay, very clean and comfortable. The employees are very friendly, and the rooms appeared to have been recently updated. I loved the happy hour to unwind at the end of the day. They also have a great breakfast to start the day. Over all a great place to stay and I plan on coming back.
Its nice, used to be better prices, seems a little high, rooms are good, Bad thing ,no elevators and NO guarantee of ground floor, only your request. good for us, we have family near by. Over all, its nice but for the price they need elevators.
Best Westerns are an enigma. On the East Coast, many are dumps that I wouldn't consider using. On the West Coast, the chain seems much better. The San Dimas location is very good overall. Big rooms, friendly staff, nice location, attractive courtyard, well-maintained. I would give it a 5, but I don't care for room doors that open to the outside or windows that face a walkway. Would stay again for sure.
This Best Western was a God sent after the horrible experience we had at a different place. We were very glad we found this place. It made our trip enjoyable. The breakfast was excellent and the service was outstanding.
From check-in to check-out we couldn't have asked for a more pleasant stay. Great breakfast options cooked to order, clean breakfast area. Great attention to detail in the hotel lobby and hotel rooms, thank you to the Housekeeping staff! Grounds were well maintained. Obvious management takes pride in their property. Will definitely stay here again and recommend.
My wife and I recently stayed at the Best Western San Dimas Hotel & Suites. It is non-smoking and well kept with nicely decorated spacious rooms. The room we had had large bed room and bathroom areas as well as a sitting area with a couch and chairs. The TV worked well. There was plenty of room for our luggage. There is a nice swimming pool in the center of the hotel area. The price included breakfast with eggs and waffles made to order and lots of fruit and drinks. The breakfast was as good as in any restaurant. Initially, the concierge was somewhat short, but she later warmed up. This is the place to stay in San Dimas.
I stayed here February 23-26th for a work function in Pomona. The service was very good, everyone that I talked to was very nice The room and the hotel grounds were very neat and clean. The free cook to order breakfast was very good. They also offer free beer and wine Monday through Thursday 5:30-7:30 pm which is a bonus. I got way more than I expected at this hotel and I would stay here again if I was in the area.
This hotel is a pleasant place to stay, it is clean, neat and convenient. We have stayed here many times and have always been treated with care and friendliness. The breakfast buffet is good, but it is the chefs, who will prepare a breakfast of your choice for a personal touch that is fantastic. truly a wonderful surprise and breakfast aways comes with a smile.
This was our second stay at this hotel in the past three months. It is well kept. Appears to be recently updated. Friendly staff. Front desk personnel very helpful. My husband has no issues with the mattress. I, however, find it way too firm. I wake up off and on all night long with hip and back pain from it. The room is very nice and very clean. Appears to be recently updated.
2.4 miles from Fairplex race track - great price, breakfast was great. Surrounding area had much to offer for shopping, gas stations, restaurants. The hot tub was not open as they were having a problem with it - but that was not a big deal for us
The staff at this hotel provide excellent customer service, the food is great, the rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable. An excellent choice for business and pleasure. When I am in the area for business or pleasure I always stay at this property.
I checked in last minute to Horse Expo at Pamona Fairgrounds and the main hotel for the expo was booked and super expensive. Alternate was expensive as well. I searched on hotels.com and found this Best Western. The price was $40 cheaper than the alternate and only a few minutes from the fairground. The reviews were good so we jumped on it. We were suprised at the size of the rooms and with the kitchen. I ordered french toast the first day and an omlette the second day. I used the business center to print and they had a work out room which I really enjoy.
This hotel is updated and well maintained. The rooms were clean and ours included a sofa, desk, and free internet. The breakfast includes a chef who cooks to order eggs, pancakes or waffles. We had over 10 rooms for a family event near by. We all enjoyed our stay. Includes a pool and spa area. Near by you walk to the western downtown, it includes antique shops and more. Easy access to the freeway.
Excellent breakfast, clean and maintained well, very kind staff, well lit parking, hotel looks brand new, they were there to serve me as if I was one of their own, 5 star hotel , they need a bomb chef like me to kick it up a knoch, clean up the happy hr. And remodel the room and organise and market the snack room, that needs help
Great location (close to freeway), friendly staff and has the perfect amenities (fitness center, free breakfast, happy hour) for weekend getaway. Rooms are nice and spacious too. Great value for a hotel in the Pasadena area.
Excellent. If I need to stay out of town again I will choose Best Western. We were attending a wedding in San Dimas and the hotel was perfect. The location was close to the church and close to the reception .
Nice accommodations for the price. Breakfast a little better than most motels, in that they had a person preparing hot dishes like omelets. Roomy, comfortable bed, and decent WI Fi. Also there was a small frig, microwave and coffee maker. The one bad experience we had was our fault, in that when we left the room for the day, we thought we had removed all valuables from the room, but missed one small electronic device. When we returned, the room was cleaned and device was gone. No in room safe. That would be a nice amenity.
Loved this Best Western! Breakfast in the mornings were simple but perfect (made to order eggs and omelettes). Day time front desk attendant "Sabrina" I believe was her name, very helpful and welcoming. I wish I had more time to tell the gardener that he was doing a great job keeping the place clean. We were in room 205, single King suite over looking the pool. Pool and hot tub were clean (pool ice cold at this time of the year). We would stay here again 100%. Thank you to all the staff, pride in ownership and maintenance is evident.
This is a super nice hotel. The entire staff are friendly helpful and nice !! The rooms are super clean and Large. Thank you all for a very nice stay! This hotel is near restaurants shopping and anything you could want to do!
we plan on staying again! close to shops walking distance, other guest staying there also very nice and pleasant. safe location .clean area. very nice Pub across street. Quiet area no Emergency sirens Meets all our needs when away from Boston area when meeting up with family!
We were looking for something with easy access to Pasadena for our Rose Bowl trip and this was a great choice. The grounds were well kept when we drove in, the lobby is nicely furnished, they had quick service as we checked in and told us about the managers reception that was about to start. A nice red wine after a long day of travel fit the bill for us. We had early mornings and were unable to enjoy the breakfasts but understand they are very good too. The pool in the courtyard was classic California but this time of year, a bit too cool to enjoy although we did see people using the hot tub. Overall, this is a great place to stay and an excellent value. Don't worry that a Best Western is not up to standards, this is an very nice property.
This is a good hotel for the money. The staff are friendly and helpful and they serve a hot, made to order breakfast in the morning. The rooms are clean and nice. We always stay here when visiting family in the area.
This was as close as we could get to Pasadena at a reasonable rate. This hotel is in a good location and is clean, with a good full breakfast. The rooms are large with a small sitting area and a refrigerator and microwave. I would definitely stay here again.
Stayed for 12 days while visiting our son in the area. Outside entrance to rooms around a courtyard pool area. We felt very safe and walked to restaurant and shops in area. The hotel was super clean and we had no issues during our stay. Wonderful breakfast. We would stay again.
There were 3 of us, My husband, our 17 yr old football player son and myself. I always cringe when we have to share because of budget, but I was pleasantly surprised! With the 2 queen beds, there was also a mini sitting area with full sized couch, chair and coffee table. The room was large and I didnt feel like we were stepping over each other. It is conveniently located walking distance to multiple great places to eat or even shopping. Best of all it is only 3 miles from the University of LaVerne.
We have stayed at other hotels in the area and this was by far the best! Spacious rooms, clean, quiet. I loved that we could walk to a number of fabulous places to eat. And being only 3 miles from LaVerne University was perfect!
We had two rooms, both were just as expected for the star-level of the hotel. Comfy beds, remodel has things looking fresh. All staff encountered were friendly and kind. This is a great choice if you need to be out in eastern LA county. Great value!!
Over all experience was excellent. The employees were helpful and friendly. Very Clean and quiet. Breakfast was good but not hearty enough for my husband. The barmaid was flirtatious with the men without significant others and ignored the women and their significant others. My husband commented that the bar maid was mean?? My husband is a jokester and extroverted talks to everyone so if he made this comment you know she wasn't very friendly at least to married men with their wives and the women. I would stay here again it was convenient to restraunts and close to my meeting venue over all it was a good experience.
Since this is an older hotel, I was concerned that it would show it's age. However, the rooms appeared to be recently updated. They were very nice. The mattress was extremely firm. I woke several times in the night in pain because of it. For me, this was the only problem with the room. They have someone in the breakfast room that cooks your entrée for you. They have a handful of items that you can get for yourself. Overall, breakfast was just okay. But then that's all I really expected. Front desk clerk was very nice. Checking in and out went quickly.
We stayed a total of 6 nights here at this beautiful hotel. Nice large pretty rooms, amazing pool and hot tub. Super friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast each morning was the home run for my husband and I. Fresh to order Omelettes, pancakes, French toast and eggs. FREE!!! Just bring your Complimentary Services card each morning. This hotel also has a complimentary beverage hour during the weekdays which we took advantage of one night. We will definitely stay here again when we are in town next year! Thanks Best Western of San Dimas for a fabulous stay!
The rooms have been nicely remodeled and are very clean. Although they discourage taking breakfast to your room, it would be nice to have trays available so I could take coffee to my wife along with a muffin
An excellent place to stay if you are visiting this area. It's convenient to everything, yet quiet. It was very clean and the staff is exceptional. I would give this place a big 2 thumbs up! The breakfast in the morning was a huge plus along with the cocktail reception at night. We took advantage of it all.
We have stayed at this location off and on for years, when it was Comfort Suites. It was beginning to get a bit rundown but we liked the location, breakfast etc. A pleasant surprise for us this trip, to see that Best Western went all out with upgrades since they took over the hotel. The room felt all-new, fresh, CLEAN, and even had very thick fluffy towels. Glad they continued with the made-to-order breakfast amenity. We will be returning in the near future and look forward to it.
I stayed at this hotel last night in order to be closer to an event I'm working today. First off, I went online at 2pm and made my reservation. I was a bit concerned that with the short notice, I'd arrive to check in and they wouldn't have it ready. I arrived at 10pm and check-in was a breeze! The room was huge, perfectly clean and nicely appointed; the air conditioning worked great, too. Since I arrived so late, I wasn't able to use most of the amenities, but the pool and outdoor space looks very nice! A hot, cooked to order breakfast was included... you have 4-5 options you can choose from the menu. My omelet was excellent. The hotel is located close to several restaurants, and very convenient to the freeways. Overall, very happy with this hotel and will definitely stay again when I have business in the area!
We stayed here just one night but were really impressed with the quality and cleanliness of this hotel. It is very conveniently located in San Dimas, which is quite a charming small town. A cooked-to-order breakfast was also included, with a nice menu of fixed entrée items to choose from. It was also nice to be able to park close to your room, making arriving and leaving much more pleasant. We totally enjoyed our stay and will stay again next time we're in the area.
I have always stayed in another hotel in this general area and have not been happy, but the San Dimas experience was a revelation in the different gracious staff can make in a visit. Included in your stay, is someone cooking breakfast for 2 hours to make eggs or pancakes to order each morning of your stay. Quiet clean rooms just off the freeway or 210 so location is perfect. I was quite surprise and pleased with the friendly, professional staff.
We stay here every year when working the annual Pomona RV show. The rooms are modern and clean, great breakfast where the staff prepares to order and very friendly and casual atmosphere on the patio/BBQ area.
Great staff. I forgot to book a handicap room for my mother and the staff was very helpful getting the walker up and down the stairs. The room was spacious. There was a couch in the room for family to sit when visiting. The pool was a little chilly, but it is October, nice to cool off at the end of the day. The breakfast was great. A choice of 3 hot meals or cold breakfast. Not alot of handicap parking. Great experience, will stay here again!!
This is a convenient place to stay. It is reasonable in rates and has a lot to offer. Bed are comfy, very clean rooms. Staff are friendly with some . are a real stand out. very accommodating Very quiet and supportive when late in evening..
We stayed at the Best Western at the recommendation of friends who live in the area as we wanted accommodations close to an event we were attending. I must say we had not set our expectations very high for this hotel based on our experiences in other similar hotels in the chain in recent years. Check in was efficient and quick. Although we did not visit the local area, the hotel was located in an area convenient to restaurants and shopping. The only issue we had was we were given the wrong bed type at check in which was quickly changed by the friendly front staff individual to better accommodate companion and I. The room was very large and equipped with a small refrigerator, sitting area, microwave, coffee maker. It appears the rooms were remodeled in recent years and were very clean to our satisfaction. Based on our experience at another large hotel the prior night in a different town we were initially concerned about the air conditioning units and potential noisy evening. We were pleasantly surprised that the unit was not overly loud and we were able to have a good night's sleep - a welcome change from the other hotel. Although the room faced the pool which was busy at check in time, it was quiet when we arrived back to the hotel later in the evening. We received a voucher for free breakfast but did not use it based on our schedule and need to check out early the following morning for a second event. I would feel very comfortable in staying at this particular Best Western again.
The hotel is always clean and the staff is wonderful. The breakfast in the morning is one of the best I have ever had and love the fact that there is fresh fruit everyday. I have stayed here quite a few times on business over the past few months and always warmly greeted by Sabrina, Tiffany and GM Manziel. It is almost disappointing to stay other places while I am on the road because of the personal attention I have received.
Large clean room, nice pool but jacuzzi was out of order. Good breakfast, eggs made to order. Friendly staff all around. Walking distance to old towne, and restaurants. Will stay again on next trip that way.
When in LA I always stay in San Dimas. You are welcomed by friendly staff, fresh clean rooms, and a wonderful breakfast served in a spotlessly clean dining area in the morning. The pool and spa are nice benefits too.
Quiet hotel with comfortable beds, friendly staff and a nice pool. My room size was bigger and nicer than I expected- more of a mini suite. And the breakfast is really good, too- much better than a typical hotel breakfast.
