    « Very pleased »

This was my first stay at the Kirkwood Best Western, but I will definitely be a repeat customer. The staff was very helpful, the room was clean and comfie and the location is great - close to restaurants, stores and many area attractions. PLUS, the rates are very reasonable.

« friendly staff, nice rooms, nice locations, but very slow internet »

little overpriced but was busy weekend, nice rooms but bathroom a little small, walls also thin, could hear coughing and TV from next room and noise from hallway, friendly staff, asked for 1PM checkout and was not bothered before then, location close to restaurants and easy to find, but internet was very slow, also could not get internet from ethernet jack on desk phone, pool was filled but was not open

    5
    « Top Notch »

Rooms were clean and up to date, the sliding glass doors in the pet friendly rooms were a huge help. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Location is fantastic. Walking distance to Walmart, target, chili's, Duncan donuts and more.

« Just what we needed »

In St. Louis for a a quick family get together. Wanted to be in Kirkwood area...didn't want to spend a lot of money...but wanted a lounge and restaurant to gather in. The Best Western was perfect. Very nice, comfortable rooms. Choice of lounge or Chilis restaurant (both connected to the hotel). Clean, modern and friendly staff.

« Satisfied at Best Western Kirkwood »

Our son goes to college at Webster University and we are happy top stay at the Best Western in Kirkwood. The hotel is nice and clean, the staff friendly and helpful and the breakfast offers good taste and variety. It is our go to place to stay!

« Good Hotel in a safe area »

The Best Western at Kirkwood is a great location. I have stayed there many times and most visits are extremely comfortable. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel so you do not have to leave the premises. There is shopping in the area as well. Rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. My only complaint is the amenities are few and far between.A REALLY little shampoo and only bar soap. Very basic. Everything else was good.

    4
    « Overall Very Nice »

Very nice stay at the hotel, the only (and I mean only) disappointing thing was the coffee was pretty horrible. The breakfast was adequate and the attached bar and restaurant were just fine. Lots of chain restaurant options around as well. Very nice stay

« Good location friendly staff »

Location is great though little overpriced, clean m friendly staff, lots of restaurant around ,outside pool is bummer, spacious room, though internet speed needs upgrade, overall set up is fine though it's on pricey range

« Service of desk staff was great! »

We changed rooms 3 times. 2 rooms were disgusting poop, blood, hair, ciggerette ashes in sink. Hair and pubs on the floor and tub. Room was so unclean and there was a bad odor. The 3rd room from a different house keeper was clean and great. Front desk staff was friendly and so very helpful they made a note of the problems and addressed them in the fastest manner.

    « Love this hotel!!! »

This is now my go to place when I am in St. Louis. Clean, quiet, located right off the interstate and super friendly staff. This hotel has it all. And it's a great value. The rooms are spacious, clean and the bed is amazingly comfortable. The staff are warm and accommodating. An added bonus is there is a Texas Roadhouse in the same shopping area and you get a coupon for 10% off your meal. All in all, it was a relaxing, enjoyable stay.

« Poor staff, poor location »

We stopped here on our first leg of Route 66, our first impressions were ok despite its location on a retail park. I spotted a guy driving the hotel bus and asked him if the hotel ran a shuttle into St Louis. He was incredibly rude and growled ?no we do not? and stomped off into the hotel. It transpired that he was the maintenance guy. With this bad start we entered the hotel, only to find that the hotel had managed to mess up our reservation for two rooms and we ended up on different floors. The guy on check in was great but had no idea of any of the local sites, including the chain of rocks bridge! That was a disappointment. That evening we explored St Louis and returned to eat at the Texas Roadhouse which was great. We also tried the bar in the hotel, which was very expensive. During the night, in fact at three AM we were woken up by house keeping banging and crashing around in the room next door, which wasn't acceptable. We complained to reception who couldn't care les! Upon check out, we were greeted by a very surly and rude woman, who was clearly in the wrong job. I definitely don't recommend this hotel the staff were appalling and seem to resent having guests!

    5
« Go there you will not be disappointed in any way! »

Nicest group of employees you could ever ask for. Rooms are spacious and the amenities are in perfect shape. It is just what a weary traveler would want. In house restaurant, neat bar right there as well, and a Dunkie, Walmart, & 5 restaurants all within walking distance.

    4
    « Needs closet rods! »

Breakfast was great and plentiful. Many, many choices. Great attention from the employees. However, the closets do not have rods to hang clothes! Unbelievable. Employees are both professional and friendly. Rooms were a tad small, would have preferred a suite, but was told none were available.

« Almost two years later, not the comfortable stay I remember »

I gave this hotel an excellent review in July of '16. Sadly, I can only give the hotel a 'poor' review in April of '18. Front desk staff was very friendly but my room on the 4th floor was less than conducive to rest. During unseasonably cold weather during my stay it was necessary to run the room heater. All night long each and every time the heater kicked in it began with what I can only describe as a high-pitched harmonica sound followed by a cranking that continued throughout the heating cycle. ALL NIGHT LONG. Harmonica followed by cranking. I got zero sleep. Additionally, there was something wrong with the toilet's flushing mechanism. It gave the appearance of wanting to overflow upon flushing and then did this weird rapid empty/bubbling thing. I stayed at a very nearby hotel the night before my stay at the Best Western Kirkwood Inn and plan to stay there, not here, when next in the area.

    5
« Good Hotel, pleasant surprise »

I was pleasantly surprised at how good this place was (I have not had luck with hotels). Everything was clean, the front desk people were very nice. The bar in the hotel was a good time. The only issue I had was whoever was in the room above me sounded like they were constantly partying (moving furniture stomping the floor). Not the hotels fault, the rooms to the sides of me I couldn't hear. I felt safe too and it is in a good location to shops and restaurants, I actually walked to many places.

    5
    « Weekend getaway »

Hotel very clean, the staff are very helpful. When I check in was greeted by an Asian man, very professional. He even gave my dog a treat. This hotel is pet friendly. Had a room on the ground floor which had a sliding door which is great. You can go outside and have your dog relieved herself. The hotel is by the expressway, which is 15 to 20 minutes to downtown St. Louis and attractions. Also a lot shops and restaurants close by. Excellent hot breakfast. Will stay here again when visiting in the future.

    5
« Great location, reasonable rate! »

Nice facilities, convenient and clean. Staff very helpful. Especially Gladys, she went above and beyond and such a delighter and so delightful! Bed comfortable and room quiet. Nice to have restaurant and bar easily co-located.

    5
    « Great stay! »

Great location with Target, Walmart, Arby's, and Dunkin all right there. Loved Chilli's being at hotel we ate there, it was GREAT! Did not get cold or wet because its in the hotel! Beds were very comfortable. Our party reserved 3 rooms. All close together and able to accommodate us. Thanks

    « Love staying here!! »

We always stay at this hotel when going to St Louis. The access from the interstate is great, that staff is awesome, the rooms are spacious and clean, and there are lots of places to shop that are close, in case we may have forgotten anything for our stay.

    3
    « pretty good deal »

The prices were good on this hotel but it was not the cleanest; not like it was disgustingly filthy, but the carpet was not as clean as it should be nor was the bathroom. On the plus side the staff was great and the breakfast was above average for a hotel in this price range. This is a great location for getting to downtown, central west end, the loop, forest park, six flags ,etc

« Great place to stay »

Nice clean hotel, friendly staff and located close to major attractions in St Louis area. Family and business needs are met. Good restaurants near by and safe environment. Highly recommend this hotel...

    5
« Consistently an excellent place to stay! »

We now stay here every time we visit St Louis. Staff friendly, rooms large and always clean. Breakfast excellent. Good location in KIrkwood which is nice suburb and many good restaurants nearby..plus easy to hop on I44.

    5
    « Best hotel experience »

This hotel was amazing. Great location right off interstate plus tons of stores and restaurant close by, wonderful room and staff, best continental breakfast we have ever had, easy check in and out. A must stay if you're in the St. Louis area.

    4
    « A great hotel for I 44 travelers »

This hotel has easy access to I44, very comfortable rooms with great showers, a class breakfast room, and a very nice premises with amenities. It is an upscale restaurant, but without a bar/restaurant, nor does it have a concierge or Bellman. It doesn't really need these extras, as there is an O'Charley's, A Texas Roadhouse, a Dunkin Donuts, and many other food vendors at the same exit. ( Even a Walmart) We were very happy with our choice of Best Western Kirkwood.

    4
    « Good value »

Great value ($80 for a king!) and a decent breakfast. Clean room. Nice little bar attached to the property with a friendly bartender with a heavy pour (the best kind!) My only issue was that the sheet kept pulling up from the corner of the mattress during the night.

    3
    « Average »

Everything was about average. Nice for the price and good enough for our short trip. Noise of the workers each morning was out of control though. Service workers were loud, laughing and cursing across the hall. It was an annoyance every morning.

    4
« Excellent value in a convenient location. »

My cousin and I stayed here as part of our annual Oscars weekend this month. We just needed a nice place to stay to watch the show, so we didn't need much! Got a great deal on Hotwire, and the experience was great. Friendly check-in people, updated decor, dark room, nice TV, quiet night. Only gripe is the lack of a microwave in the room (there is a fridge), but we were able to use the one in the breakfast area. We ate breakfast down the street so can't speak for the morning options, but I like that a full breakfast is included. Always a plus! The hotel is very close to Target, Lowe's, and various restaurants, as well as major highways. Very convenient. Would highly recommend if you need a solid lodging option near STL.

    « Great Deal »

My family of 4 stayed here for a cheerleading competition in St. Louis. The hotel is easy to find and within walking distance from Dunkin Donuts, Target and a few other stores. The lobby is stunning and beautifully decorated. The staff was very friendly. We were given a 10% off coupon for Chili's which is attached to the hotel and will actually deliver to your room for a small fee. We had a room with 2 beds on the 3rd floor. Room was very clean and quiet. My only issue with the room is the mattresses were not as comfy as I would have liked. They seemed worn in and old. The next morning we enjoyed the free breakfast which is your typical hotel breakfast. Overall we really enjoyed our stay . It's so close to the city without having to pay for parking and breakfast. Highly recommend!

    « Nice place! »

Visiting family in St. Louis. The room here was very nice, clean and at the end of the hallway next to an exit door which was great considering we had our dog. Comfortable beds, lots of towels. Check in was easy too. We got up early to hit the road and went to the breakfast. It was recommended by the desk clerk. Considering we got there early, I thought the food would have been fresh. It seems we must have just arrived after a morning rush [it was a Saturday]. The egg patties were cold as were the sausage patties which was disappointing. I should have gone with the make your own waffles or pancakes!! Despite that, we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying there again.

« Best Western Tooth Fairy »

We visited St. Louis this weekend for a family wedding, and the hotel was close to the venue. It was clean, well maintained, and everything we expected it to be. The staff, however, we above and beyond for our family. During our stay, our seven-year-old lost a tooth. They staff were just as excited as she was about it, and listened as she expressed her concern that the Tooth Fairy may not know where she was at. Thankfully the Best Western Tooth Fairy arrived to save the day. None of this was expected, but it was extremely touching to witness. Thank you for going above and beyond to make a seven-year-old's day. We will be staying here again the next time we come up to visit family.

« Great reasonably priced place »

Choosing to not spend big on a hotel we opted to stay here based on reviews and price. It was an excellent choice. It's clean, the bed is very good. The climate control is pretty quiet and check in was a breeze. This will be my first choice when stay in the st louis area again. The shower was a great bonus as well. The wifi was automatic and I have to say, it's a great value and a nice place. More money at a fancy place wouldn't have made the time spent any better

    5
    « Great trip »

Wonderful stay, best experience I have had at a best western! Everything was clean and nice. Super comfortable bed and staff were nice. The included breakfast was a bonus. Would definitely stay here again next time I'm in St louis

    « Excellent Hotel »

Check in was easy; the room was bigger than we expected. It was clean and comfortable The bed was huge, lots of pillows. The side chair and ottoman were both comfortable to sit and sleep in (as my sister in law and nephew tested this out). We stayed for 2 nights, on the fourth floor. It was very quiet, easy to sleep. Breakfast was buffet style and tasted like homecooking. There is a corridor and entrance inside that leads to Chili's restaurant next door.

    « quite time »

good motel off the interstate which has everything in one place so once you get there no need to venture out. Rest. Cheli attached to motel so you can dine there and rooms clean and Quite so you can rest. all you can ask for .

    « Absolutely Wonderful! »

We never stay anywhere else. The customer service cannot be found elsewhere. We have been staying here every time we visit for almost 16 years. Great food, service, clean rooms, and always there to make your stay comfortable.

« I would recommend and stay again. »

Headed to Entertainment event at the Fox theater and see the sights. Came up early incase of bad weather. For being New Years eve, I was impressed there was not much noise. Only had a couple minor issues: The room above us had a annoying kid that ran around, I guess I am more patient then my daughter or wife, however, they did wake my daughter, she had turned in early 7 pm. I suppose the kid finally went to sleep at 9pm. (Only noise I could hear was someone slamming their car doors at 7 am, been up since 5 am couldnt sleep, but nothing to do with the hotel). The fridge did not work, I did not complained but plan to notify when we check out, when it is 3 degrees outside, I suppose could have put my ice chest out on the patio area. We were on the 2nd floor, there was the bar, I glanced in but did not use, about 5 customers but it was also 7pm. Many restaurants, Walmart, and Lowes, in the close proximity. (oh, and chili's), Room close to the elevator, stairs, bar, breakfast area, room faced the parking lot. Hotel is very close to interstate & close to many amendities. If it wasnt for the fridge would have given a 5 star.

« Wonderful hotel to stay at. »

This is a wonderful hotel to stay at while visiting in the St. Louis area. It is clean and quiet with comfortable rooms and beds. The staff is friendly and helpful. This hotel also has quick and easy access to the highway(s). We've stayed here many times and will continue to come back!

    5
« Great service! Incredible staff! »

Customer service is stellar. Clean rooms. Convenient/good location. My fiancé and I were in town to visit family for Christmas, and we had our dog with us. We loved that all pet guests stayed on the ground floor, with sliding glass doors in every room that led out to a grass area. Highly recommend this hotel.

    5
    « A St. Louis MUST1 »

OUTSTANDING! Super rooms, great breakfast, outsanding staff on Check In and Check Out! Much superior facilities than earlier in the trip. I would not plan on any other location in the St. Louis area. Dollar for Dollar this is the best buy!

    2
« Beware if booking a pet room »

I booked a pet room directly with the hotel by phone 3 weeks before arrival to ensure that I had a pet room as I had stayed here years ago and knew that without a pet Room it was difficult to find a place to take dog outside on property as is surrounded by asphalt. I called and confirmed that pet Room reservation the day before arrival. I called the day of to verify check in time and that I had a pet room. When I arrived at 5pm, I was told that all the pet rooms were gone because ?so many people kept coming in with dogs?. The clerk verified that I had booked a pet room but he had none to offer. I guess my reservation was pointless. I travel frequently with dogs and have never had this experience. I was given a room on 3rd floor instead.

    « Christmas Holiday Stay »

The room was comfortable and had all of the accomodations that we required. The room was not made up on the second day of our stay. We left the room at about 11 am. The next day we asked at the desk to make up the room before we left the hotel.

    5
    « Great Value »

My husband, 7 year old, and I found ourselves in need of a place to stay while our apartment building was being renovated and the fumes made our apartment uninhabitable. The staff was fantastic and incredibly friendly at all steps of the reservation and check-in process. The room was simple but clean and quite comfortable (and surprisingly quiet for being on the first floor). The beds were soft and there were plenty of pillows. The attached restaurant made things so convenient (especially with a 10% discount!), I loved being able to get a warm meal without having to walk outside in the cold! It wasn't the Hilton, but our stay here changed my perception about Best Western, elevating them from a budget hotel chain to a viable competitor at a great value.

    5
« Excellent room for good price. »

We were there as a group, so I don't know the regular rate, but $230 for 2 nights was great. Clean, well maintained, good service, attractive facility and room. Pretty good breakfast. The only thing that would have made it better was to have an elevator at both ends of the hallway, because our group was spread over several floors.

    5
    « Great experience »

Stayed here for night, as had to be at Shriner's Hospital in St. Louis very early next morning and we had traveled from Tulsa. Very helpful front desk. Sorry we had to miss breakfast as it smelled awesome as we checked. Clean and comfortable

    5
    « Doggone Good Time »

As guardians of a 15 pound, white haired, fur baby, it can be sometimes difficult to find sleeping accommodations that suit Toto's needs. BWK hit it out of the park! The room had a sliding door onto a grass strip that gave our pet uddles of sniffing delights. Michael greeted us efficiently and warmly. Top notch!

    5
    « Good value!! »

Very comfortable room! Everything was clean and the staff was extremely helpful. The location was just perfect to be able to shop in the strip mall just steps away from the hotel as well as the Chilis restaurant that is attached to the hotel.

    5
    « Perfect Location »

My wife and I went to St. Louis for a weekend get-away. Our plans included visiting the Arch and Six Flags, so I chose a hotel in the middle. Little did I know, Best Western Kirkwood was surrounded by everything we could think of. There was a mall within minutes, and Target and Walmart were on the same parking lot as the hotel. There were also several restaurants within sight from the hotel, and a Chili's is actually connected to the hotel. We'll definitely return.

    5
    « Nice Place! »

We enjoyed everything about our stay. Clean, friendly, affordable. Liked having the restaurant, breakfast & bar all within the complex. It was also in close proximity to great shopping and highways. We'll book there when we go back to the area.

    5
« Excellent service and property! »

I stayed at the Best Western Kirkwood last week and I must say I was impressed by the staff and how they greet every guest that walks in. I had the pleasure to meet Gladys who check me in and whose smile I saw every morning during my stay. I also had the opportunity to interact with Michael, Robert, Andrea, Ashley, Alex and Bryant they all made sure I had an enjoyable stay. I have visited a lot of hotels in my business travels, but this hotel is by far the best I have stayed at. The breakfast is located on the 2nd floor which I thought was great. An assortment of options for everyone from waffles, eggs, potatoes, and fruit. They have a bar that is located on the 2nd floor across from the breakfast area called Van's Traven, great Apple Martini! I will make sure to come back and bring my family to enjoy this beautiful property and all the fun activities that Kirkwood/St. Louis have to offer. Oh yeah and don't forget to stop by and see Camilla the Caterpillar on the 2nd floor!

    5
« Home Way from Home »

This Best Western is my home-away-from-home. I stay there every time I go to St. Louis. It's always clean, comfortable, has a nice breakfast, convenient to local restaurants and two major highways and a shopping center nearby plus all the amenities you could possibly want.

« Check out the fabulous new decor! »

In the past year - magic has happened! From the new carpeting to the crystal chandeliers ---- WOW! Still clean and friendly extraordinaire ---- A must if you want a convenient location to the west suburbs.

    5
    « Excellent Stay! »

This is an excellent hotel to stay at when you are in the St. Louis area! Excellent location, with many shopping opportunities and launching off location for visiting the greater St. Louis areas. This hotel is clean and the staff is very friendly. The free breakfast is served with a variety of breakfast food.

    5
« Very nice overnight on a roadtrip »

Everyone at this Best Western was helpful and pleasant. The room and whole property was clean. Breakfast was well prepared and a nice selection. Having an in-house bar was a nice touch after a long drive.

    5
« Pleasant stay at Best Western »

I'm glad I searched for a Best Western in this area. The location was perfect, and the service and amenities absolutely met my needs. The check-in representative went out of his way to clarify a question I had, and the breakfast got us started wonderfully on our day.

    5
    « Stunning hotel »

Beautifully decorated. We were literally just there long enough to sleep but the beds were actual QUEEN SIZED instead of those stupid full sized that they try to make two people sleep in. Bed was pretty firm for my liking but the rest of my family loved it. I would love to come back when I have time to enjoy the hotel more. It was full but the only noise we heard was the heavy metal stairwell door banging (and it was right outside our door) when it was closed. Even that sounded like a normal room door from inside our room. Otherwise, not a peep to be heard from a full hotel, not even from the rooms above us. Soooo quiet.

    5
    « Nice Location »

Enjoyed staying in this conveniently located hotel when we had to visit St. Louis for a funeral. Would stay here again!! Staff was pleasant, room was clean and attractive, breakfast was filling! The hotel was very quiet also.

    3
« Comfortable place to stay »

This hotel is nicely located and a comfortable place to stay for the area. Near shopping and choices of restaurants. The night desk agent was great. Nicely remodeled. I would recommend if in the area.

« Kirkwood, MO BW Review »

Nice Room, Reasonably Priced, Good Breakfast, Really Convenient to good stuff nearby!! The staff was friendly and willing to help make the stay most enjoyable...nice to have the DD and Walmart and great restaurants in walking distance. Chilies and bar in hotes ain't bad either!!

    3
« Clean But Needs Sercice Improvement »

Grooming of front desk clerks. Politeness to other people and not just to "men in business attire." Needs improvement in breakfast food and service. The location of this hotel is extremely convenient. It is in close proximity to the various private schools and colleges in the area for out of town parents and or relatives. It is an extreme shame that little things such a common courtesy are not found in this hotel. Personally had to assist a lady with children dragging a hotel cart with suitcases from the lobby to the elevator and all the way up to the front door of her room!

    3
    « Traveling Around »

There is little or one parking for pickups & trailers but there a walmart parking lot is across the street that works out ok. There were no surprises, the room was clean and I sleep very well. It was a great location for where i was going. It's a ok place to stay. Will stay there again.

    « Always a pleasure! »

Still my favorite place to stay when in the St. Louis area. Two things really make it stand out, the private balconies and the breakfast. LOVE having a balcony of my own to enjoy and their breakfast is definitely a cut above the norm! I only have two complaints. One is that the wifi is just too slow and unreliable. I always have to use my own wifi card. Second thing is that the shower has very little water pressure. Wish they had adjustable shower heads, I like to turn mine to massage. Otherwise, it's great. Rooms are clean, hotel is lovely, beds and pillows are very comfortable. Having Chili's right in the hotel is nice too and here are lots of other places nearby to eat and shop.

    5
    « Road trip »

This is by far the nicest and most pleasant stay ever at a hotel! It's beautiful and friendly and extremely convenient if you have a dog. There were so many places to eat close by and I personally loved the Dunkin' Donuts on the premises!

    5
    « Great stay!!! »

Stayed for one night on business at the Kirkwood Best Western. The staff are some of the best I've encountered. Robert accomodated our last minutes request and when we arrived he had it all ready and had such a great personality for someone working late in the evening. They keep their pool open longer than most out door pools, and its 9 feet deep. I dont' see that much any more. A great breakfast go us going in the morning. Cleanliness was great. Will be back!

    5
« Rt location for local & regional connections »

We have family in the Kirkwood area, and we definitely will take advantage of the perfectly-located hotel when we have more than one night to spend in the area. Do think about booking a room here when you want to relax and take the train (instead of clogged freeways). Recent renovations knock it out of the park!.

    4
    « Overall good stay »

The hotel had a nice ambience. Breakfast was pretty good. The only problem was that on the second night the room was only partially cleaned. Trash was not emptied, towels left behind bathroom door and new towels not provided. Seemed like work was started bit then interrupted and person never came back to finish. Easy access to highway and good price.

    « Ice Hockey Grandparents »

Bathroom floor was not as clean as I would have liked it; but the rest of the room was great! Stool was slow to flush. Bed s were very comfortable! Access to outside with our dog was great. Good location!

This hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The area is just shy of St Louis. The location was right off the 44 freeway and in a great area for shopping. It's also very close to Grant's Farm. The hotel was nicer than we expected. It was very clean, large room, and comfy bed. The breakfast staff was friendly and able to keep food stocked and tables clean on a busy Saturday morning. We won't hesitate to tell others to stay there.

    « Birthday trip »

We went here for my son's 5th birthday trip. This hotel is very nice and doesn't hurt that it's in a great location. Breakfast is good they switched up the buffet while we was there. The pool was a nice touch I loved that they had a second half for smaller kids it was 2ft, my son loved it. When we come back to st Louis we are definitely booking a room here again.

« Great stay in Kirkwood »

Hotel is in perfect location to get on I 44 and close to 270. Many restaurants close including Chilis attached to Hotel and Texas Roadhouse you can walk to. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast has many choices. Love the breakfast until 10am and checkout at noon. Will stay here every time we are in St Louis.

Excellent hotel and bar. Very nice, modern and clean. The bartender was pleasant and professional. We really enjoyed the breakfast with meats, waffles and assortment of breads. Easy parking and access to the elevator and rooms.

    « Serendipitous experience »

My boss and I came across this hotel when the three hotels that our client has corporate rates, with were sold out. I was formerly a meeting planner and have stayed in 5 star hotels all over the world (Fairmont, Waldorf, Four Seasons, Halekulani) and I was still very impressed with this little hotel. I am now an interior designer in NYC and I thought the décor was fresh, interesting, and very fun. My client came by and even commented on how nice it looked. The rooms are very tastefully done, comfortable, and very clean. The hotel room carpet was plush and not your typical hotel carpet. It was also very well maintained, as hotel carpets can get sticky when cleaned improperly. The bathrooms do need updating BUT they are immaculate! It's too bad that due to current hospitality trends they need to be renovated, because everything was in perfect condition. The staff was also very gracious and personable. It is a little out of our way from our project, and located in the middle of a parking lot of a mall, but my boss and I agreed that we would love to stay here the next time we are in town.

« Excellet hotel very near attractions »

Very good hotel in easy walking distance of lots of attractions. room was clean, lovely shower, excellent staff - I was a little concerned about a three night stay but the area is safe so no worries. Good restaurant attached for breakfast but lotsof eateries within easy walking distance. Parking is expensive if the hotel organise it at $56 per night - but we used 'Loop parks' north of the hotel at $25 for each 24 hour period - drop bags then park - do reverse at check out. Overall a great experience.

« Updated Euro Style Renovation »

Older property with recent "cool blue" Euro style renovation of rooms and common area décor. Baths could use a little sprucing up match rest of property but were well equipped and spotless. Very clean property with helpful, friendly staff. Standard BW breakfast offerings. Lots of adjacent parking with national chain restaurants within walking distance.

    « Best Western Kirkwood »

The Best Western in Kirkwood is a moderately priced hotel with good accommodations. There is a warm breakfast, along with work out room and pool. My primary reason for selecting this hotel is the Tesla Destination charger available to guests.

« Woke up by the pool guys! »

We had been woken up by the pool guys at 6:45 am from there loud talking. Also we found that the pricing given on the 800 Best Western number was not the same as what we found on line at Best Western which is totally ridiculous and they would not honor the price after we found it because we had already checked in. Ho can they offer two different prices when they are the same company!!!!

    « Never Again »

Worst B/W we have stayed at. Breakfast a joke internet issues. I have never paid more at B/W than Kirkwood. I wonder if eclipse caused a price increase. Headed to Lee's Summit for 5 nights stay like night and day. May be you could learn from them.

This is a very nice new motel convenient to Grant's Farm. The grand children enjoyed the pool. This motel is connected to Chilli's restaurant which is nice. The staff was very accommodating and courteous.

« Friendly for guests with pets »

All the staff at this hotel made us feel very welcome. This was the first time we traveled with our 20 lb. dog. We were assigned a first floor room with a sliding glass door to the pet-approved area. They gave us a bag with a dog treat, and plastic glove and bag with which to clean up after our dog. At reception, they even offered a pet blanket. The wireless internet was pretty spotty, but we were at the far end of the hall.

    « Not ADA Compliant »

If you are a wheelchair user, do not stay here. I am in a wheelchair and the only way to get into the bathroom was to remove the bathroom door, once I got into the bathroom I only had access to the toilet and sink.

    « That's tough »

When asking about the jack hammering directly above my head. Not distant construction noise. I'm talking rock concert level jack hammering so loud it hurts your ears. The front desk response was to look me dead in the eye and say that's tough. No apology, no hard end time, no response whatsoever. I wish I could upload a video. Stay at your own risk. This was an abysmal situation, and beyond abysmal customer service response.

    « Best Western Kirkwood »

I HIGHLY recommend staying at this hotel. The rooms and the pool were very clean. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic! There are hot and cold breakfast choices. The staff was quite helpful and friendly. We enjoyed meeting Michael and Ashley at the front desk who were quite friendly toward us when checking our family of 14 in.

    1
    « Remodeling BEWARE »

This hotel is remodeling and they have no problem putting they're guest right next to the noise of jack hammers in the next room . If you are renting a room to sleep you need to look for another hotel. And the staff is rude when asked if they can keep you away from the noise , they told me they don't know which rooms they are working in .

« Great Location for exploring St. Louis »

My wife and I love to stay here as we visit the numerous antique malls in the area. The Inn is located just off of I-44 and allows easy access to the city, Soulard Market, Busch Stadium and so many great restaurants on the hill.

    5
    « Wonderful stay »

The hotel was very clean, and the lobby is beautiful. All staff were friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable. We loved the breakfast, which had something for everyone (eggs, bacon, sausage, granola, cereal, yogurt, pancakes, and waffles). The pool was clean and the hotel even provided noodles and balls for the kids to use in the pool.

I have stayed here before the rooms are clean, bright and roomy. I like the Chill's connected to the hotel, very nice. Easy to find from the highway. There are stores and shops close by. I will stay here again next time I am in the area.

« Good place to stay. »

Nice place centrally located. Clean and good helpful staff. Nice amenities and plenty of stores around them, ease to interstate, and places to eat. Check in staff helped my get the maximum discount for the room by asking if I had ARP, military and such. Thank you for that. Reduced room rate by about $20.

    5
    « Accommodating to pets »

« would DEFINITELY stay here again! »

The staff was fantastic! They were so helpful! I stayed here during a work-trip in May. The room was great. I loved the Hallmark channels (especially the Hallmark Mysteries and Movies.) My room was close to the microwave. The hotel is in front of a shopping mall and it is close to a freeway entrance.

    « Fit the bill »

We needed a hotel that was off the highway as we were driving from Chicago to Branson. Although the beds have seen better days, it was fine for one night. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was satisfying with eggs, biscuits, pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, yogurt and other foods.

    4
« Close to everything (almost) »

The hotel was fine. Breakfast was great, the amenities were standard. We stayed here after completing the KATY Trail and were traveling by bike. It was super convenient to get to food, entertainment, and Target/WalMart - all were in the immediate vicinity. Ideally, we would have stayed closer to the train station, but that was our fault, not Best Western's. Did seem a tad pricey!

    « Excellent Hotel »

By the time we got to St Louis we were getting into our stride in travelling Route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica. When we arrived at Kirkwood it was already day 4 and 5, where we enjoyed a two night stop over. The first night was spent in and around the hotel as there is loads of eating options across the site within easy walking distance. There is also a large Walmart directly behind the hotel. To explore St Louis on the second day there is a Metro Bus stop right outside the hotel which took us to Shrewsbury and Lansdowne where we boarded the train into the city. We wanted to visit the Mississippi River and Gateway Arch and our stop on the Blue Route was 8th Street and Pine. For the princely sum of a combination ticket of @$6 we were able to explore the city. On return we used the outside pool and this set a pattern for the rest of our trip, as we stayed predominantly in Best Westerns across the States. This was a really good way to relax and cool down as the early summer temperatures in early June were beginning to rocket up through the nineties. Our room was spacious and clean with complimentary breakfast served on the 2nd floor each morning. Reception could not have been more friendly or helpful in assisting us with our queries. We used the laundry which was only a couple of dollars each for the washers and dryers which was a really welcome facility. There is also a bar located on the second floor, but for whatever reason this seemed to lack a little atmosphere. All in all a very good hotel, plenty of facilities with loads of dining options within walking distance. However, a drive through Dunkin Donuts, please, what is that all about?

    5
« Dog Friendly hotel near St. Louis »

We needed a hotel overnight while traveling with our two small dogs. This place fit the bill. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The room was clean (always a concern when you are in a dog-friendly room!) and had a sliding glass door that led out to a small grass area which gave us an option of taking the dogs out and not having to go through the lobby. Breakfast was as expected at 'all inclusive' but clean and with the usual variety. We did not use the pool, but there were plenty of people there. Otherwise, a quiet and easy stay.

    5
« Everything was great from the staff to the location of hotel. The only improvement that need to be made is breakfast »

But other than that my stay was great if I travel in the St. Louis area again this hotel will definitely be the one for me. It was not a big concern but the room had all the immunities that we were looking for except a microwave

« BW Hotels falling standard »

The appearance of rooms and breakfast has declined in last 7 years. Kids used to be excited for staying at Best Western seems no more interested and thinks that we stay there because it is cheaper. Are not interested in breakfast anymore and prefer home cooked egg and sausage breakfast.

    « Fantastic Customer Service »

Stayed at the Kirkwood Best Western for 4 day and 3 nights with 3 other family members. Complimentary breakfast was just ok BUT what made a just ok breakfast fantastic was due to one employee in particular, Pamela C. Her attention to detail of the food, the cleanliness of the whole area and the attention she gave to the guest who were present was truly refreshing and made us all happy to be in the company we were in. Thank you Pamela for putting a smile on our face and adding another great memory to our vacation. GO PACK GO! The other staff we encountered were also great and very accommodating. The rooms were fine. There's no microwave, fridge took 24 hours to even get cold, and the sink would squeal every time we turned on the hot water but again, totally worth it all because of the awesome customer service we experienced. Thank you Kirkwood staff!

    « Vacation Getaway »

We chose this hotel because it was close to the St. Louis attractions and out of the hustle and bustle. We were pleasantly surprised and glad we picked this hotel. It was perfect. The room was clean and comfortable. It was very quiet in the evenings so it was easy to sleep. The beds were comfortable. The pool was clean and well maintained. Breakfast in the mornings were hot and they offered a wide variety of options. A great way to start the day.

    « Friendly staff »

There is ample parking; appears to be a safe area; a good breakfast is provided. We really enjoyed the Chili's restaurant attached to the building. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Our bed was comfortable with soft pillows.

« Great staff, excellent hotel amenities »

Very helpful staff, everything you expect from a hotel. The small bar/lounge had a friendly atmosphere and the restaurant selection around the hotel was great for a family visit. Convenient access to the interstate and the Kirkwood area. The hotel was fully booked but did not have that over-crowded feel, the staff handled everything perfect.

This is a great motel! Close to everything ad presents with a professional look. There is a Chili's inside the motel so you can have a nice meal without leaving the motel. It is very nicely appointed and modern. The price is right. We will definitely stay here again!

Nice, clean, friendly and great location! I would definitely recommend and stay at this Best Western Hotel again. And if you ride they have special parking by the entrance. The attached Chile's restaurant is just an added bonus. It's also located right off the interstate so you can get right back on the road.

    « Excellent Value »

For the money, you cannot beat this hotel. Well located just west of St. Louis it is close to good shopping and the lovely little downtown of Kirkwood. The rooms are standard, but the beds are very comfortable. And the service, from the front desk to the nice lady who made sure there was plenty of fresh goodies for breakfast, was unbeatable. We've stayed in five star hotels and not had the great and genuine friendly and focused staff as they have here. This would be a great place for a family on a budget vacation.

    4
    « Pleasantly surprisef »

Nice room, clean, and the staff was pleasant. For me, the location was perfect: close to my friends and not too far out from the center of St. Louis. Breakfast was average but appreciated. I will definitely stay here next time.

« Very comfortable room and good staff »

Made a last minute reservation while having an impromptu visit in Saint Louis. Picked this hotel due to its proximity to Grant's home national historic site. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff was friendly. They provided a 10 percent discount card to Chili's which is directly connected to the hotel.....Very convenient. The breakfast was kept fresh and was good for this type of venue.

This is a great hotel! We were able to stay for awhile and visit family, while we conducted business as well. The bestfast was very enjoyable. Also the hotle was located near some wonderful places to eat!

Very clean hotel, great value, very comfortable beds, close to major highways and within walking distance of several major stores for shopping and a variety of restaurants. Very friendly staff and overall a very convenient hotel!

    « Convenient for a Cardinals game »

I chose this hotel for its location to attend a Cardinal game and shopping. It shares a parking lot with Home Goods and TJMaxx. Chilis is right next door, and so is Dunkin Donuts. The property is older, but nicely remodeled. Our AC was a little noisy, but worked great. We did find items left behind by the previous guests, but I would stay here again for the price and the location.

    3
    « Reasonable stay »

Average price, nice pool, verycaring hotel staff. But, some people are smoking in some rooms and we can smell it, even thought it's a non smoking facility. But I think they can do so much, to avoid these situation.

    « Great Hotel! »

Stayed here over the Memorial Day weekend with my family and have to say this is the best hotel I've been to in a long time! The staff was as nice as they could be and very helpful and the attention to detail was impressive. We come to St Louis every year and usually stay at another local hotel to add to my IHG reward points but that particular hotel was full so Best Western had rooms available and so glad they did. The breakfast every morning was very good and the pool had just opened that week and it was serviced and water tested every day that we were there. The beds we're comfortable and the rooms were very clean. On the nights it rained having Chili's on the first floor made it nice for dinner and the food was very good. Just an overall great experience and will be staying here again in the future.

    4
    « Great Location »

This is a very nice hotel. We will stay here again if we come back to the area. The breakfast items were good. Kirkwood is a nice little town. It is also very convenient to Six Flags and downtown St. Louis. Wal-mart is right behind the hotel.

    4
    « Good Choice »

Smart, modern and comfortable, this is a good choice for St Louis. It's very convenient for the I44 and it's in the middle of a shopping area that offers a good choice of restaurants within a short walk. With a good breakfast, good free wi-fi and plenty of parking, I can say very definitely that this is a great place to stay.

  • 5
« Best place to stay »

I wouldn't stay anywhere else in St Louis. My son and I were in town for the Cubs Cardinals series over Mothers day weekend and stayed here. We have stayed here before when in town, and even though it's been 8 years this place is still top notch. There are many choices for you to get something to eat near the hotel and many of them you can walk to. A super Target and a Walmart right behind the hotel. The hotel is clean the people that work there are great. The beds are very comfortable and if your just hanging out the TV channels they have are the best offered I have ever seen in a hotel.

    5
« Wouldn't Stay Anywhere Else in St. Louis »

I have stayed at the Beat Western in Kirkwood every time I come to St. Louis and it never disappoints. Always a friendly staff and always cleans and comfortable. Their new remodel has given them a fun updated modern look to boot. They are right in the parking lot of a Target and a Wal mart so if you need anything it's just a hop-skip and a jump away as well as restaurants and a Chillis and bar in the hotel; and on nights we want to go out, downtown is only a quick cab ride.

    5
    « Awesome »

The hotel was awesome, staffing went above and beyond, management has taken special care to every detail. Our stay was more than we expected, the food was top notch for breakfast and Vans Tavern was exceptionally great. Will recommend anyone I know travelling in this area to stay here. Will definitely return.

« Great location and staff »

We spent Easter weekend in MO and stayed a couple nights at this Best Western hotel. It's clean, the rooms are spacious and the staff couldn't be more accommodating. It's a bonus to be able to talk to several restaurants and stores and the Harley dealer is right down the street. Love it!

    « A Great Place to Dream »

From the minute we walked into this hotel I knew it would be a great stay. The ladies at the front desk were delightful to talk to. We were able to check right into our hotel rooms. I was very excited to see how clean the rooms were. As a mother of two little ones, I was comfortable letting them roam around the room without the worry of germs. I would also like to add how comfortable we all felt in the room. My two little ones slept ALL through the night, which NEVER happens. It was a great place to dream...

    « Family gathering »

« The illusion of "clean" »

My husband and I stayed for three days. 5/1-5/4. Room 504. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was as expected for price. We could have given 5 stars if not for one thing. Everything went well until we found several items on the floor next to the bed, that were not ours... including a pair of another guests dirty socks laying on the floor in plain sight. Everything looked like it was just barely brushed behind the skirt of the bed. This ruined the rest of our stay. IF our room was cleaned properly, "house cleaning" would have immediately found these items and I would have never had to touch another guests dirty socks. I'm assuming it isn't hotel policy for house cleaning to check under the beds. I would also assume it isn't policy to vacuum, if it were these items would have been found immediately. The issue, more than likely is a LAZY employee. If the case, did this employee also wash my sheets and pillow cases? My towel and wash rag I used on my face? The bathroom toilet and shower? My remote held in a bag labeled "fresh remote"? Do they have the mind set that if it LOOKS clean to them, then guests won't know the difference? Having to ask those questions ruined the entire experience. The illusion of "clean" is not good enough for me. A hotel that hires employees that are only willing to give an illusion does not deserve any stars. We brought these items to the front desk and asked that they notify management. We never heard from anyone to reassure us we weren't living in filth. If I were management I would want employees that care about paying customers and the future of the business. We checked out today. The Soests

    « BE CAREFUL »

Oh, The hotel is fine-------We stayed there 2 nights. My wife left a $50 bill (forgotten) as we left for the day on the dresser. It was gone when we got back later that day and the maid never saw it. .........I had some money stashed away in my suitcase which I thought no one could find.........After we left I noticed that IT was missing also. With no proof of theft or the amount of money gone, there was nothing I could do. Manager was no help whatsoever when contacted later. I will NEVER stay here again. We are a 70 year old couple and never encountered such a thing before. We were totally ignored. Smartened me up a lot though.

    « Love this hotel! »

This is an incredible hotel for the price. Updated decor with an outstanding staff, and you can't beat the convenience. The hotel itself has a nice little bar, and is also connected to Chili's. Breakfast buffet is better than most. In the same parking lot is a shopping center that includes Wal-Mart, Target, and probably a half-dozen or so restaurants. (The front door is about 20 steps from Dunkin Donuts!) Any time I'm working anywhere near this part of town this is where I stay.

    « Best Western? More like Could-be-Better Western!...ok,that was dumb,but still,it was bad! »

Unfriendly desk staff on arrival, lots of hassle, poor air conditioning and alarm clock didn't work in room. No parking close to the building. Uncaring desk staff on departure. At least the bed was comfy and the hotel was clean. Still, i would recommend staying somewhere else where the staff care about their guests. I am a platinum rewards member with Best Western and stay at their hotels all the time, all over the country, this one was definitely sub par.

« A wonderful time at Best Western Kirkwood. »

This is a clean & well maintained place. The staff is genuinely nice. It's in a convenient location where you have a variety of restaurants and shopping centers within walking distance. I've been coming to this hotel for over 4 years and I look forward to it.

The hotel was well located and povided easy parking nearby. There were several restaurants in walking distance. Lots of nearby shopping. Free breakfast was good with a great choice of hot and cold items. Room was clean and had everything we needed.

The hotel was doing some renovations while we stayed there, so when those are complete it'll be a lot nicer. Rooms were clean and it is located near plenty of restaurants and shopping. The free breakfast was good and a nice perk.

« Great Route 66 hotel, but noisy room »

We stayed at the St Louis Best Western Kirkwood Inn for one night as part of our Route 66 adventure. The hotel was easy to find off I-44. The hotel was undertaking some refurbishment in the lobby while we were there but it didn't interrupt our stay and they had tucked all the scaffolding etc. away safely. The room, 300, was quite noisy. The water in the bathroom ran almost constantly (it may have been a conduit behind the wall) and the AC fans outside the room door ran all night too. The corridor was nice and cool, but we didn't sleep much! We ate in the Chili's restaurant which was quick and convenient. Good for one night. If we'd been staying longer, we would definitely have changed rooms.

    « Nice, quiet stay »

We travel with a dog, so always happy when Best Western will accept pets, not all do.The entry to the room was on the outside which is a plus with a pet. Quiet and had good nights sleep. Friendly staff and helpful with directions to resturants.

« Good Value and location »

Near Stages Theater and one of the best steak houses in St. Louis, Citizen Kanes. Also the Magic House in Kirkwood. Our room was very quiet. Loddy is under renovation and will be beautiful. Breakfast was above average and was included. Service was excellent. All in all we were pleased and would return.

Hotel is close to Kirkwood DT. Only about 15 miles from downtown St Louis. Very active shopping and plenty of restaurants around hotel. Nice access to expressway, safe area. Comes with a decent breakfast selection. Room is spacious and clean, nothing special, smaller TV. Price was OK for the area.

Excellent lodgings for cross-country travellers with a Siberian Husky. The staff considerably eased the St. Louis trip segment of our fairly arduous journey, and the accommodations were quite comfortable.

This property is nothing out of the ordinary, it's a parking lot hotel. But relatively, the location was excellent, lot's af restaurants and historic Kirkwood nearby. The staff was excellent, very helpful and friendly, and the room was excellent, clean and comfortable. We were very satisfied with our stay. I'd definitely stay here again.

« Cobwebs, clogged shower drain and poor breakfast »

Traveling with kids and dog. Check in was okay, but the staff was not helpful when asked where I could walk my dog. The woman who checked me in simply said there is grass right outside the sliding glass door, or you could walk it around the parking lot. In the middle of summer? Hmmm. . . seems like the dogs pads will get burned. Pool was great and by all appearances was clean and well cared for, but did not have towels stocked. (This was the best part of our stay). I would have rated this hotel poor, but the pool was great. And Dunkin' Doughnuts in the same parking lot saved breakfast! The room at first seemed clean. But the corners by the ceiling had huge cobwebs and the drain in the shower did not drain properly leaving you to stand in 2-3 inches of filth as you showered. It is hard to believe that the shower was properly cleaned and the drain issue went un-noticed. When I asked the front desk if someone could come clear the clog, they said they would send someone down, soon. 30 minutes later, I asked again. She said she would send another woman down with a plunger. A plunger? You can't clear a shower clog with a plunger. Of course it didn't work. The only offer I got was to move us to another room. (It was 9:00). With the dog kennel set up, and 2 kids already in bed I declined, but suggested they have someone walk across the parking lot to the Lowes behind them and buy a drain snake, or weasel to keep at the hotel. I have a feeling there were more clogged drains than just mine. When I declined the room, the front desk employee said, "I will be sure to tell the day crew, okay?" Really? You might tell the manager to better train his/her staff, as well. The next day, I went to the breakfast area to "scope" out the food. I left thinking "thank God there are other options outside the hotel" because the food looked like it had seen more than one day in the serving pans.

« GREAT PALCE TO STAY FOR ALL ACTIVITIES »

Had a lot of fun in St. Louis. This was a pretty good location for some of the activities in St. Louis. Were several restaurants within walking distance. We stayed two nights and ate at Texas Roadhouse both nights. Was great. Also did laundry while there. Nice laundry facility. Breakfast was awesome. A lot of extra little things.

This was a very nice motel even though I was leery of a high rise building. The staff overall was very attentive and nice. The swimming pool was well-maintained. The breakfast room staff was excellent and very friendly. They need a tip container for the ladies.

« Impressed for a first time BW use. »

This was the first time we have tried BW as a Hotel Brand. When choosing it , we immediately liked its location (just 20 minutes from St.Louis--and its direct access to highway) and also liked the proximity of all shops and restaurants close buy. The area is a great area to stay in if your driving. It has free parking on -site and a great outdoor poll (well kept and spacious 3 to 9ft deep end) The hotel is well kept and clean. Considering the lobby and ground floor were undergoing renovations(almost completed) while we were there, one would not notice it, for it was all under control. We made use of the laundry room . It has a washer and dryer (which work perfectly). Their breakfast room is well located on 2nd floor and the breakfast offered is very good. We particularly liked our room on 6th.floor with a small balcony. Beds are very comfortable and all is clean). All items in room were in perfect working order (TV, WI-FI, bathroom, lights, etc.). The staff was very gracious (from Front-Desk to Housekeeping). This was a great first impression for this Hotel brand. We will consider it and seek it for future travels. Thank you to all at the BW Kirkwood Inn, for making our stay in St.Louis an enjoyable one.

    « Lobby Renovations »

I took my father on a trip to st louis for the weekend and we stayed at the kirkwood inn, I was veryyyyyy concerned on how things would go because He is picky and when I seen the lobby I thought uh ohh..but we got to our rooms and he thoroughly enjoyed his room was clean and he had no complaints about noise...SUCCESS! lol but really it was nice we ate at the chilis located on 2nd floor , that was also very pleasant, There is also a PUB that is very clean and awesome big screen TVs to watch Olympics. The breakfast was the only minor complaint I had, it was 9:15 when I left my room to go eat and the ladies were bringing like one cup of eggs, 6 biscuits ( I had 2), they were super hard, and small handful of the microwave bacon which ran out in 5 mins, also the pancake maker said "call distributor for assistance"..very strange they knew it was out but one just stood around watching people. Thankfully there was cereal, yogurt, toast, milk. None of the staff seemed stressed or over worked though, they even have night time hskp so if you need help with something they are there. They have small Balconies with each room for fresh air! and the pool is large and clean. Walmart next door, good restaurants, Not once did I feel unsafe ---

Very good value. Lobby recently renovated. Nice facility, friendly staff. Many chain stores (Target, Walmart, Hobby Lobby, etc) and restaurants nearby. Can visit bar and restaurant without going outside. Convenient to St Louis attractions. Grandchildren loved the pool. I've stayed in many Best Westerns, and this is one of the best.

    « Ball game stay »

Wife booked us a room for my surprise birthday to the cardinals game. Hotel was clean. Breakfast was amazing! Bed & pillows were super comfortable. Room was spacious. Shower was big and towels and toiletries was better than standard. Cold Fridge and microwave. Coffee pot not great but hotel room pots rarely are. Coffee at breakfast bar was very good. Didn't get to use pool or exercise room but they looked nice. Right off freeway for easy access to game. About 15 miles south of Busch Stadium

« Best Western Kirkwood, MO »

When checking in the three employees present at the time seemed more interested in counting money or other activities than serving check in customers. The breakfast, while offering a wide variety of items, had numerous items that were out by 8:30. This included orange juice, pancake mix, french toast, water, etc. Perhaps when this hotel is finished with remodeling it will be a much better place, but it will take a revamping of staff also.

« Great Place to Staay on Family Vacation »

Very family friendly atmosphere. Nice, clean, and comfortable rooms with little to no noise from the hallway. Easy access from the interstate and nearby to the places we wanted to visit. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast selections were plentiful and of good quality. No one left for the day still being hungry. The pool was fun for the kids. No whirlpool or hot tub here though. Rates were competitive for the area. We enjoyed our stay at this location and would recommend this hotel to other families visiting the Saint Louis area.

« Great for meeting basic needs and getting some sleep. »

Best Western is an every-day brand and it met the expectations that it sets out to. That said, this particular property was the same price as a local IHG property (I think it was a Holiday Inn of sorts) that typically offers more of a sense of luxury for the same rate. The staff were friendly. The room was large and mostly clean, but dated and definitely ready for some renovation or upgrades. The beds were a nice size and we slept well, but those mattresses could be updated too. They are working to renovate the lobby so kudos to them, but if we hadn't been recommended to stay here as part of a group reservation, it would never have been my first choice. No late checkout option. We got a safe bed to sleep in and AC that worked. In that sense, our expectations were met. This is the perfect place for an overnight rest if you're not seeking amenities and just need to pull off the road and get some sleep.

    « My ballpark choice »

The Kirkwood Best Western is my choice when I drive to St. Louis for a Cardinals game. Driving 6 hours from Oklahoma, it's just off the first exit past 270 and 3 exits from the Metrolink. Ride the Metro for 5 dollars a person round trip to the ballpark. Breakfast is good the next morning. Pool is convenient if I want.

    « Excellent Stay »

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Kirkwood Inn. The hotel was VERY quiet! Our room was very clean which something that we always are super picky about. The bed was really comfortable. We also ate at the adjoining Chili's and used the 10% discount the hotel gave us. It was really great to be able to walk through the hotel to a nice restaurant instead of having to drive after a long day of traveling.

    « Excellent hotel »

    « We had a great stay! »

Yes, the lobby is being renovated but it didn't interfere with our check-in or moving about the hotel. Stayed here with my family for two nights. The hotel was very quiet, room was clean, the beds were comfortable, our breakfast was great. Several restaurants and shopping were all within walking distance. Great location being close to the highway and we got to all of our destinations within 30 minutes. We enjoyed the pool and the discounts we got at the restaurants, would stay here again if we ever come back to visit.

IT's a clean facility with a friendly staff and a decent hot, free breakfast. There's a small bar and a Chili's restaurant on the site. It's a good central location, especially if you don't want the parking hassle of trying to stay downtown.

« Fantastic people work at this hotel »

After a horrible experience at another hotel we called Best Western to see if they had a room available for us. Michael at the front desk was so helpful, getting us booked in a room and answering all of our questions. We had positive experiences with so many hotel staff members, thanks to everyone. Our room was clean and in good condition. The breakfast was well maintained with quiet a few options, additionally it was really convenient to have a restaurant/bar on site. The hotel is located within walking distance of Wal-Mart (it's across the parking lot) and several other shops and restaurants. We had a great experience and we recommend this hotel to anyone!

« Old, run down, over priced and unsafe. »

This place is a mess. The lobby is undergoing a face lift but the rooms need it more. The service needs to be more pleasant and responsive and security needs to be tighter. I was verbally accosted multiple times when I arrived in the early morning hours of July 16th by three men in front of the hotel...and the front clerk did nothing. I was awoken, after getting in at 2:30am, at 8am by loud screaming and yelling by young teenagers from a tour group running up and down the halls and shouting to each other, and this was even while I was wearing earplugs...an experience that was repeated that night at 10pm. The room was musty and old and the rug was sticky. The sheets were rough and uncomfortable and the bed was broken down. This was not even close to what I would expect for a Best Western or at this price point. It was awful.

    2
« Not Worth the Money »

I would rate the quality of this hotel in the $65-$85 price range. At $125, I felt it wasn't worth it. The mattress was old and soft, with a dip in the middle which I kept rolling into. The breakfast was not at good as others I have experienced. For instance, they advertise fresh fruit, but only offered apples and oranges. The food was not very good either. On the other hand, the staff was very friendly and courteous, and the hotel was very quiet.

« Affordable comfort in a convenient location »

I'm actually from Kirkwood, MO (where this Best Western is located) but recently relocated out-of-state. I needed to return to St. Louis for business and decided to give this hotel a try. I am glad I did. Located within walking distance of Target, Walmart, TJ Maxx, Sports Authority and several fast food and eat-in restaurants (Sonic, Chipotle, Dunkin Donuts, Chili's and more), this hotel offers free parking with convenient highway access and provides a surprisingly spacious and quiet room. Room darkening curtains make for restful sleep. Bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Room was clean and each room has a sliding glass door and balcony. There is a blow dryer in the bathroom, a mini refrigerator, a coffee maker and safe in each room. Television reception was excellent. There is a swimming pool, free wifi, complimentary breakfast, and a business center for printing boarding passes. Staff was friendly and welcoming and accommodated my request for a room away from vending machines and elevator noise. The only reason I didn't give a five star rating is because towels are a bit thin, toiletries provided so-so, and I didn't see a recycling bin in the room (so not sure if this hotel recycles). Definitely recommend and would not hesitate to stay here again.

« This hotel does not understand that they are in the hospitality business. »

On June 23, 2016 I called them at 10:15am. We needed an immediate check-in for a family emergency involving child endangerment. We explained this to the hotel. They had a room, but early check-in was not available. I reserved the room, explaining if I could find other accommodations I would call back. I was able to find other accommodations (with an immediate email confirmation and early check-in). At 10:28am, I called Best Western Kirkwood back (I have these records on my phone), and the representative answering remembered having just spoken to me. She said, "OK, I'll cancel it for you". I do not remember her giving me a cancellation number. Subsequently, Best Western Kirkwood told me that, unlike other hotels, they do not send email follow-ups for reservations or cancellations by phone. I just received my credit card statement with a charge for one night's stay. I called Best Western Kirkwood and the representative took a detailed report and said someone would call me back. Today, a new representative of Best Western Kirkwood, called to say that without a cancellation number or person's name, they could not help us. Buyer beware .... If you deal with this hotel, get names, numbers, and email back-up. They are not interested in serving you otherwise. We have had to pursue this matter with Best Western Corporate because, evidently, no one is in charge at Best Western Kirkwood until Monday.

« Great place, awesome staff!! »

I stayed here on our last minute trip to St. Louis. Great location in a very nice area. Convenient to I-44 and halfway between downtown and Six Flags. The front desk staff was always friendly and very accommodating. Gave great recommendations on places to eat and things to do. Only knock would be not receiving any wash cloths when our room was cleaned two days in a row. But, when I called the front desk, I was brought some within the next 10 minutes each time. It is currently having some remodeling done, just in the lobby, I believe. But we never had any problems with noise or anything. Great pool for the kids. Very nice continental breakfast on 2nd floor. Hotel is also attached to a Chili's restaurant for convenience, with a Dunkin' Donuts just outside the lobby across the parking lot. Would definitely stay here again!!

    « Six Flags/ Visit with relatives »

I stayed at this Best Western for two nights, and all in all my stay was very pleasant. The staff was friendly, yet professional. I'd had a problem with my credit card and they helped calm me. After clearing up the issue, I checked into my room and found it to be clean, quiet, nice and the decor pleasing to the eye - comfortable and homey. The bed was comfortable enough for me to get a decent nights sleep. It was also quiet; just what I wanted. I liked the hand held shower and decided I want one. The pool water temperature was warm and inviting. I liked the close proximity to shopping (Walmart, Target, Burlington, TJ Maxx and so on) and dining (Chillis, Texas Roadhouse, White Castle, Dunkin Donuts and so on)and the fact it's on the public transportation line. I highly recommend staying here and will do so the next time I go to St. Louis. Very nice hotel

    « Under Construction ( Buyers Beware) »

Stayed at Kirkwood, Missouri Best Western. We walked in to a total disaster. They were remodeling hotel and you had to walk very cautiously. We had a problem with our room and the service desk lady was nice and gave us another room. The person that was supposed to clean the room was upset and made it seem like it was our fault. The sink was full of dirt. It is a great location. We were able to go toTarget and several other stores within walking distance. Hopefully they will address this problems.

Close, convenient, caring are qualities that one finds in the Kirkwood Inn Best Western Hotel, St Louis. It is very close to the theatre for summer opera in the Missouri city, connection is easy by car, and the staff could not be better in its care and charm. Our second summer visit was equal to the initial one, made last summer. Highly recommended.

This was second time staying here while attending a Cardinal's ball game. It's located right off I-44 with a mall close by and plenty to eat within walking distance. Rooms are very well kept, but beds could be a little softer. The update of elevator's and lobby area didn't really detract from hotel and work areas were kept fairly clean so you didn't walk thru dirt and rubbish. Will be back again!

We really enjoyed our two-night stay! Beautifull exterior, great location near restaurants & shops, lovely modern decor. Very friendly staff. « On the road to Chicago »

It's on the west side of StL, so allow for rush hour traffic if you're headed to Chicago. The room was comfortable and clean, and the Wi-Fi worked flawlessly. The 2nd fl. walkway used to lead to a funky dive restaurant, but it's now a Chili's. You get a 10% discount, but if Chili's is not to your taste, I recommend Steak and Rice, a decent Chinese restaurant 2 blocks north.

« Clean room that was showing its age »

The Site was a ways off the main interstates. The reservation we made on line and charged our credit card right away, and when we tried to change the booking to use the Best Western gift card the process was challenging. The main check in area was pleasant and the elevators worked well. Once in the room it showed its age in spots but overall all things worked and it was clean. The staff where friendly during our stay as needed.

« Favorable hotel, cordial location. »

Nice, clean, comfortable feeling hotel that has the decor of a more up scaled lodging. Hotel is conveniently located right off Rt 44 on Lindberg ave (historic Rt 66). Loved the small bar/lounge located on 2nd floor. Room was good size (bathroom a little small) with walk out balcony. King bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows. 8 blocks north (W.Argonne Dr) there is a very popular "upscale" Pub (Billy G's) that serves great food with an outside deck. Highly recommended by the locals. 3 blocks west of the Pub is an attractive county park ( Walker Lake) with walking trails. This area of Kirkwood is a pleasant quiet section of older homes away from the bustle and traffic of the Rt 61/ Rt 44 area. This was an enjoyable stop on our way to Branson, MO.

Yet another great stay at a Best Western hotel. The gentleman at the front desk was professional and exceptionaly helpful, he also offered some helpful tips on places to visit in St Louis - Budweiser brewery was greatly appreciated. All aspects of the service that we received were appreciated. There is a bar and restaurant attached to the hotel. Whilst this hotel is approx 9 miles from the city it is an easy drive as the freeway is only minutes down the road giving you easy access to Forest park and the zoo (free admittance). Great stay.

The hotel and room are great but the front desk person, Gladys, needs to get additional training in customer service I'm afraid. She was not friendly and never showed any concern for us, the paying guests of the hotel. And yes, I did express my feelings to Best Western in their survey.

    « Good stay »

Hotel grounds were nice, it was cool to have a Chili's connected to the hotel. Rooms were nice and clean, bathroom was a little dated. Breakfast had a nice variety, probably the best I've seen. Staff were very friendly.

    « Great location! »

Staying in Kirkwood was great for visiting St. Louis. It wasn't a long drive to anywhere we wanted to go. The hotel is right in the middle of a shopping center/area so there are plenty places to eat or shop. The hotel gives (unlimited) 10% discount coupons to Chili's (which is attached to the hotel) and Texas Roadhouse which is just across the parking lot. We ate at both of these and enjoyed Chili's best, but our favorite place is O'Charley's which is also across the parking lot next to Dunkin Donuts. We had some trouble with the baby crib and our door lock and the front desk was very quick to send someone to fix these issues. The breakfast buffet was nice and clean, but was missing a few things. The first day they had scrambled eggs and a potato hash, but the other days it was just an egg patty and sausage patty. Each day they had biscuits and gravy and make your own pancakes with some interesting toppings that they kids liked. They were missing waffles and cut up fruit (they only had apples, bananas, & oranges). We got plenty to eat so we really shouldn't complain. Would definitely stay again.

« Ants In the Bathroom »

The staff during check-in were very friendly and accommodating. I thought this location was very convenient to restaurants and the highway, and that was a plus for me. Overall this hotel was fine until I recognized the ants crawling all over the bathroom the morning I was checking out (I only stayed one evening). When I reported it to the front desk they told me they would get right on it, but I was leaving so it didn't really mattered. There were no apologies for such a disgusting experience, so I know where not to stay next time.

    « Excellent Stay »

The stay is good. The hotel is in prime area and have lot of restaurants, malls near by. The staff are so generous and they are so helpful. Gym is good. The breakfast is having good number of varieties.

« Best Western Is the Best »

From now on I will always seek out Best Western. From start to finish, smooth as silk. Enjoyable. Reassuring. Can't recommend more highly. Exceptional cordiality. Efficiency beyond compare. No complaints whatsoever in any way, shape or form.

« One night for business trip »

The Best Western in Kirkwood was clean and the employees were attentive. The hotel could use an upgrade for sure. My bed was lumpy but sheets were clean. Cheaper than the nearby Hampton Inn. Wouldnt be my choice always but not bad if you want to save a few bucks. Oh, breakfast was good but smaller selection than some hotels.

« I do not understand this question »

Great stay, great room great staff hotel looked fine nice carpets in the hall. The only improvement would be the size of the bathroom ours was very small and hard to get two people in and out of it. The breakfast was ok not the may favorite. We did not eat in the Chili's but it smelled great. The location was fine and easy to find.

    « Enjoyed ourselves »

Great friendly staff, great location, good parking, clean rooms and comfortable beds. We were choosing between this one and another hotel nearby and we are happy that we chose this one and would stay here again. Good rates. Out of St. Louis downtown but we took a Uber and were there in 10 min.

« Good Job in Kirkwwod »

We found the Best Western in Kirkwood an ideal place to stay. This was our third time in the past four months, and we'll stay here the next time we are through the area. We would be happy to share this with other travelers.

    « Clean, friendly, convenient »

First impression is everything. The entry is gorgeous and Andrea at the front desk is a doll! She was so pleasant to our family and that is added value! Our room was noce. This isn't a super new hotel, but it has new furnishing and paint. Hot breakfast, attached Chili's, and heated swimming pool. Also right next door to target, walmart, and dunkin donuts! Great for families. We were traveling with 2 kids and one in a wheelchair. Accessible bathroom is not very big, so don't expect lots of space there. The room has enough space for wheelchair. Comes with a fridge! It is not extravagant, but we would definitely stay here again.

« Wonderful place to stay »

We will definitely be staying here again. The hotel was clean and very nice. The staff were all extremely friendly and welcoming. It was a great location for what we were doing in St,.Louis. And the breakfast was wonderful!!

    « Be aware: smoke-friendly, not smoke-free »

Hotel claims to be smoke-free. We were disappointed with strong cigarette smoke smells in our room, halls and from outside our patio door (on 4th floor). Hotel claims to be smoke-free but hosted local Pipe Club, who posted paper ads on elevator walls to sell pipes and smoke smells came into our room from hallway very strongly which disturbed our sleep and gave us headaches. Then someone sprayed very strong air freshener which we could smell in our room. After our complaint, manager reimbursed our room and said the Pipe Club would not be allowed to return next year, but local ordinances DO allow smoking on each room's balcony. Also, lots of noisy cars revving motors and driving on heavy traffic street outside.

    « Nice atmosphere, welcoming. »

This hotel falls into my affordable and good value category and to be honest they are punching above their weight. The staff are friendly and welcoming and there is a generally friendly feel about the hotel. The room was comfortable, the buffet breakfast was OK. The gym is small but is well equipped and again ? has a nice feel about it. Would I go back ? yes.

    « weekend in Kirkwood »

I highly recommend this hotel if you are in the Kirkwood area. I needed a hotel close to the facility where my mom is receiving care and this Best Western is within a short car ride away. So close to shopping, attractions, interstates, airport and quaint Kirkwood.

« Nice Stay close to everything »

I checked reviews of places to stay close to Kirkwood and the Best Western reviews stood out and I didn't regret getting a reservation there for the night. It was what I needed, within walking distance of multiple restaurants and close to where I wanted to be to take care of my business.

« Good place to stay with pets »

First floor rooms have sliding glass door leading outside which is convenient with pets. Bathroom small and outdated. Good location close to stores and highways. $10 fee per pet which did not show up on my reservation.. I will only stay here if I have my dogs with me.

« Very Nice Best Western »

We stayed here after a long trip from Detroit, Michigan. This place is very nice. The room was clean and quiet. They offer a 10% discount for Chili's Restaurant next ti the hotel which was excellent to eat at. We liked this place a lot and would stay here again. One of the better Best Westerns !

    « lesiure time »

Had a good time but they didn't take my AMEX gift cards. The guy at the front desk was apologetic about it. We slept thru the free breakfast. The bartender was very friendly. We would return to this place again.

    « Just right »

I typically stay here when I go to St. Louis for a Cardinal game, but this trip was different. I wanted to get a jump on the weather for my return home after visiting family for Christmas. I called, reserved the room and was greeted when I arrived. Excellent room, timely breakfast in the morning, and express check-out. What more can you want?

« I always stay at the Kirkwood inn when in St. Louis »

Great location, balcony rooms, good little pub! I always have a good stay! I would recommend to any business or family traveler. Super convenient to major highways. Kirkwood is a neat little area and most of my customers are right down the road.

« Average, with friendly staff. »

I stayed here with my daughter last weekend, and it was fine. The room and bathroom were both clean, and the woman at the front desk was very sweet. (She went out of her way to speak to my talkative 3-year-old). The hot breakfast is not great, and the sleeping situation was not very comfortable because of huge pillows and extremely light blankets. Instead we turned up the heat. The rooms all have no smoking signs but someone was clearly smoking in their room. We didn't complain about it because we didn't spend much time there. It was an average stay. The price was very good. In a pinch, we would stay here again.

    « OK »

It was OK. The location was really the best part. Although quite a bit farther from downtown than we expected, it turned out to be quite alright. The room was pretty nice, but it didn't have a microwave in the room.

    « cross country »

Just need to fix bathroom sink - plug was not attached, would not hold water. If you did get the plug in to hold water, you could not get it out! You could hear people in other rooms - walls must not be insulated well. Comfortable bed, nice clean room, good breakfast, pleasant personnel.

This is a great hotel and an especially great Best Western: rooms are large, have a lot of amenities, are very clean, affordable and the Kirkwood location is convenient for west and south coubty access. Staff is all A+++

    « Kirkwood »

Excellent hotel with pet friendly rooms available. great locations. Nice hotel bar. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Close to Kirkwood City Center, Sunset Hills, and Crestwood. Interstates nearby. Lots of shopping available nearby. We are former Saint Louis County residents, so we are familiar with the area. We will stay here again should the need arise.

    « Another great stay »

Stopped back at this hotel on a recent business trip. This location does not disappoint, and i will continue to stay here in the future. All of the staff are extremely friendly, and there is a chilis on site which is extremely convenient.

« Good hotel for the price »

The Best Western Kirkwood is a great hotel for the price. Really good location, hotel is exceptionally clean and the staff, especially the front desk staff, are really friendly. Free breakfast and in-room wi fi is a nice touch.

« All show and no go!!!! »

These rooms are very small. Bathroom has a shelf over the toilet and sink next to it, no room for anything. Should be priced under a hundred, not over. Bed had a huge sunk in area and tub would not drain! Lobby looks nice and it has a Chiles Restaurant attached (All show and no go). I'm not sleeping in the lobby or eating at Chiles while in St Louis, Are you? For the money stay somewhere else!

    « Nice hotel »

This hotel was clean and nice. We didn't know the area well, and always a little worried about the neighborhood in an unknown city. This hotel was in a great area with lots of nice restaurants nearby, including the Chili's attached to it! We'd stay here again!

    « Great Stay »

Was very pleased with this Best Western. They have a restaurant and lounge attached to the hotel. Located near lots of shopping if needed. It had easy access to gas and other amenities. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again if we pass through this way.

    « Hotel »

The service was very good. The bathroom was small and the tub took forever to drain, it is bad when you have 4 people who need to shower. I reported it and they looked at it but did not fix it. The pool was outside and could have been warmer.

« Great Location, Clean, Friendly Staff, Great Breakfast »

Went to a Cardinals game and stayed at this place one night. The receptionist was handling a drunk guest with class and ease. She quickly fixed my room key when I accidentally voided it. Clean, quite, and the location was wonderful. Nice neighborhood and great access off of the interstate. The breakfast had a lot of options and the attendant was working hard to keep the area clean. Will stay again.

Dog friendly with some green space around the hotel. Average hotel room. Comfortable beds. Near Walmart and other big box stores and chain restaurants. Near the Laumier Sculpture Gardens, another great place to walk the dog. Easy 25 minute drive downtown to the Arch.
