This property is spotless. Rooms are very nice and beds and linens are soft. Quiet atmosphere. It's not right next to I-95 but a few blocks off. Easy access to downtown and area scenic spots. They have a nice breakfast from 630-900 each day. Sausage, eggs, toast, cereal, waffles, potatoes, corn beef hash.
The bed was great and quiet and breakfast was good. The staff was friendly and helpful when I had questions. Easy to get off and on the freeway. Room had fresh towels a nd the room was clean. And the price was right . ,.........................
General good stay, A little worried door did not close square when double lock supposed to locked… Breakfast was good, various choices of warm food, breads, juices, coffee very good , clean area well detailed, Front desk happy to assist you,
Nice hotel in a good travel location. It's near St. Augustine and the outlet mall. Plenty of nice places to eat. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was basic but good. There were no issues with the hotel. The pricing was reasonable. No parking issues.
This hotel is located behind an abandoned building lot/and a major construction area. Upon arrival, we found the non carpeted areas very slippery as there was no ac in halls or elevators causing humidity. There were also annoying gnats flying everywhere. Room was fine overall for a one night stay. Water pressure isn't great and fixtures in bathroom and around the room are just strange (ie door stop on top of the door). We had to put the AC down to 64 to make the room somewhat comfortable for the evening. Breakfast was average - “omelets” (precooked eggs golden with cheese), waffle makers, and other standards (cereal, yogurt, choice of meats). For a one night stay it was ok, maybe a tad over priced.
The Hotel and the room was very clean. The staff was friendly and professional. I definately would stay in this Hotel again.
Nice hotel, everything was good, but the road construction made getting in and out a nightmare pool and jacuzzi available but weather did not allow. Breakfast offerings were standard for BW. Staff was friendly enough. Weird way of folding pillows, we simply unfolded them
A very Good mattress and pillows with quiet hallways Clean area to sit and eat, breakfast was good Front desk friendly and helped us get settled in. Pool was clean and relaxing We will use again for visits wish BW had a Van to move around town instead of calling an Uber
The hotel was overall clean, inviting, the breakfast was amazing, the staff was very accommodating and friendly, the pool during the day is very nice, a little cooler in the evening and morning due to the sun shade. The hot tub was not heating, very disappointing. The carpet could use a really good cleaning, so wear indoor shoes.
The coffee station was nasty and infested with ants and the staff never took care of it even after being told by me and others. There's an unpleasant odor and the carpets are filthy in dire need of having a deep cleaning with a steam cleaner.
The pillows are small, but they give you 4 of them. The free breakfast was good, but the bacon could have been cooked more. The room was very nice and comfortable. The elevators were very warm, and the handle of the bathroom sink kept falling off.
The only disappointing thing I can think of was the Coffee dispenser, It was VVEEERRRRYYY slow and did not always dispense the chosen type of Coffee. I chose the house blend nd it dispensed decalf coffee. Other then this it was a good stay for me.
One of the best maintained and cleanest motels we have stayed in. Room was very nice and everything worked. Bed was very comfortable and the breakfast buffet was more than adequate. Good parking and easy access to main highway. Pool was also very nice. We will return!
It was clean and nice it was quite. It was close to shopping and dining when ever I needed something I just went to the lobby and they had it there. Everyone was so nice the pool was nice and clean the lobby had everything I needed the computer worked and the gym was nice.
Great bed and cleanliness ,shower and bathroom were clean. The pool /hotub area was great and accommodating. Breakfast was 4/5 with many options hot and cold . Only thing is elevator takes about 8 min to go up and down and it's only 4 floors. Overall great stay though and would definitely recommend to other couples or families
first of all i am a member and have stayed at this particular motel for several yrs on numerous occasions ranging from our house being fumigated to a second honeymoon and have found this motel to always go over and above and exceed my expectations
This is the cleanest hotel we stayed in on our trip. The staff is so friendly and kind the internet is fast and the hotel sparkles cause its clean. We wanted to stay near st augustine but not right in town and this hotel provided us the nicest accomodations close to the outlets and restaurants and far enough away from the town to be able to sleep properly. We loved it and cant recommend it enough!!
Highly recommend! Great four nights at this clean, comfortable, friendly hotel. Rooms and decor felt updated, images on walls is St Augustine landmarks and places- great touch! Breakfast fare is standard, nothing impressive, but it's free :) Beds were comfortable, pillows were a little lacking. Rate was fair. It is in the middle of some construction, but we did not have any issues with getting in and out. Such a nice, quite hotel. Would definitely recommend!
Average hotel with customer service at front desk unfriendly and you being there is an inconvenience disturbing their phone texting conversation
Outstanding staff, made up my room every day. Replenished the soaps, towels, and coffee. Breakfast was good and options for all family members. Only negative comments are the coffee machine in the lobby is very slow, but the coffee is delicious and the carpet in the hallways need to be cleaned.
Great location, comfortable room, insulting grab and go breakfast. It's a nicely put together room on the water front. No complaints. Parking they charge you $20 more. It's an old building repainted. But for the premium price, you'd think they could offer a decent breakfast hotels one third the price offer. Here they give you a bottle of water ( we have that already), a grocery store cheap small muffin and a nutrigrain bar. They are probably taking in $45,000 a night and we get what amounts to bread and water. What an insult. We won't stay here ever again nor recommend them to others.
Breakfast was AWESOME! I love the variety on the menu. The coffee bar was perfect with my favorite, flavored coffee cream. my room was HUGE! The carpet in my room was clean and I could walk on the carpet, bare foot. I am in St. Augustine to attend church twice a month and have visited several hotels. I will definitely return!
We have stayed at this location more than five times. Despite continuing road work nearby, staff have maintained good attitudes and clean, quiet rooms. Our trip home was delayed because of bad weather and there was no problem extending our stay by one day. The breakfast continues to be fresh and hot. The only problem was a new coffee machine that doesn't work very well. The outlet mall is very close so we could get in our daily walk and find some bargains.
I booked this room for 3days during springbreak because it had a hot tub. The hot tub did not work, the coffee machine was trash and most of the staff barely spoke English and were really nasty or rude. You could tell the were miserable and hated their job. Little girl at the front desk said they do not have a manager on-site and that there was no way to get ahold of him... The only charming thing about this cheap motel was the cats that roamed the parking lot.. they were definitely friendlier than the staff!! So disappointed I wasted my family vacation here.. Lesson learned.
After a very long night, I'm driving my son. And I shows up 3 o'clock in the morning Maybe 4 and they need a process, quick and easy to get me a And my son-in bed even though I could not find my wallet. My card, there are patient kind and compassionate.
The room was great. Location off 95 perfect. Great breakfast. Daniel at the dest was very helpful. One complaint. The bunn automatic coffee machine is a disaster. It only worked half the and even when it did work it is unsuitable for a hotel operation. It takes too long. Coffee is important get rid of that machine.
Our stay was great. Very good breakfast choices. Friendly staff. Beds were comfortable. Four adults in one room was not a problem, there was plenty of room. A little tricky finding it but only because of lots of road construction in the area. Overall, very good experience.
Hotel was very clean, staff was super nice. Only complaint we had is the construction on the main road to turn into the hotel. We missed the turn and had to go down one more street. Room was very clean. Pillows could be more softer. They were hard to sleep on. They are also very small like couch pillows.
We arrived late and was greeted by a very friendly and helpful staff. Check in was quick and easy. The room was spacious and super clean. The beds were the most comfortable of our entire trip. The curtains totally blocked out any outside light allowing us to sleep in for some much needed rest. The breakfast was very good and the dining area was very nice. The room was quite. Parking was good. Overall it was great. We will be returning.
The room was reasonably priced, clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was out early, was good and as expected. There is construction on the nearby highways, but we were quickly able to access the property. It is near restaurants and I-95, making it convenient.
Nice, clean rooms. Good hot free breakfast with eggs, sausage, good selection of breads. Waffles. Good internet. Really liked the machine that makes coffee and delicious hot chocolate. Coffee, chocolate machine available to use during the day.
Very nice hotel. Great customer service and clean halls and areas. The breakfast was excellent, attended was polite and friendly, very helpful. Room was clean and well designed, pillows were a little small but fluffy. The road construction was a little hard to get through but the hotel can't fix that lol would stay here again for sure.
Very nice renovated property. The only thing they could improve was breakfast. They took the buffet down about a half hour early and did not have all the selections offered. Still give the property a five star though. Very clean.
Clean and quiet Cleaning lady educated and excellent service Location great Front excellent Near express way Heard old town Price average Breakfast time good Maybe can be until 10 am Gym option Pool
We didn't have the best impression when we arrived, the area looked abandoned the hotel was very lonely and dark we came back for the check-in at 2pm (big difference, they turned on the lights) there was a lady very kind that did our check-in (she was blond), we needed to change rooms and she took care of us very fast, the housekeeper on the 4th floor was so nice and kind she gave us extra towels. My only recommendation: the pillow are too small, it's like you have a half of a regular pillow. Breakfast very good too is until 9. I came later than 9 and they still assisted me. Rooms aré renovated but the AC are too old and they don't work very good.
Perfect stay, quiet, clean, the property is in excellent condition, everything is like new, the breakfast was nice and tasty, We only needed a place to stay while we enjoy the city, but the hotel really exceeds our expectations.
Great location to stay if your on a budget. Close to restaurants, gas stations, and the expressway. Great staff & accommodating. Simple breakfast and clean room & building. The Definitely would stay again.
Only one issue or concern, the telephone didn't work so you couldn't call the front desk if you needed something, and none of the soda machines worked, other than that it was a very good trip, customer service was very good
Pros: Clean, easy access to interstate, good breakfast. Cons: juice at breakfast a little odd, bed pillows were square throw pillows. Generally a good place to stay and would stay there again for the price.
No bad hotel for the money. Good location if you want to be closer to interstate for a short stay. The hotel is clean, service is acceptable. The breakfast is ok if you do not drink coffee. The coffee here is a brown water coming from a coffee machine, partially broken.
Hotel was renovated a few years ago and has a beautiful new look. The common areas and guest rooms are very nice and kept clean. Our room was extremely comfortable and very quiet. The location is excellent for the Old Historic District, beaches and interstate access. Shopping and restaurants are very convenient. Highly recommend your stay to be here.
Best Western Plus is always a great choice for us. This one was exceptional. The hotel was modern and up to date. The room had very comfortable beds with fresh comfortable linens. The bathroom had been updated and the sink actually held water. The breakfast was exceptional.
Very clean Hotel ! Front desk attendant was very pleasant and helpful. Food was delicious! Shopping area and eatery was close by. Very clean Hotel. I asked the receptionist for directions, he took his time to help me.
Upon arrival the attitude of the front desk was poor. It seemed I was disrupting their quiet time. They never acknowledged my presence when walking in or out of the hotel. As soon as I opened the door to my room the musty smell to my room was very strong. The air conditioning was constantly running and loud to keep the room at a comfortable setting. The food was subpar. I will never go back.
I was very pleased with the hotel. It was very nicely updated, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was nicely done with lots of variety. It was also very reasonably priced - an excellent value for the money.
Breakfast included is really helpful. I missed some more fruit and variety, but I think for the hotel price it is pretty good. The pool is nice and well illuminated. I was surprised to see it should be used only until 5 pm. I would say open until 7 or 8 would be better specially during summer.
Very clean and comfortable room. Lots of Fluffy Pillows very nice, comfortable bed, great staff very pleasant I would recommend it to anybody and it was very pleasant. Clean enjoyed it very much. We'll do it again.
Great breakfast and staff roo.s nice size close too pool like the cat for good luck traffic terrible close to st Augustin rhe trolley best deal stop and off should give better discount for seniors curtains on trolly gave ponchos soaking g wet
A group of us stayed here for a nearby conference. Our district arranged lodging so we had no expectations. The area surrounding the hotel including an abandon Denny's, trash ,and broken down cars. There was what appeared to be a homeless man walking around in just dirty socks that hung around the front and in the lobby. The hotel had a weird smell and when we made it up our rooms it didn't get better. The tile floors seemed not mopped and the carpet had a feel as if it was moist. The beds were comfortable but on the first night a live roach crawled across the bed. Again, we came as a group set up by a bookkeeper so demanding a refund and leaving seemed difficult, also where would we go? Busy town busy time of the year. The water pressure was terrible and the toilet ran continuously. We had 6 rooms and minus the roaches this was the case for all of us. Stay somewhere else.
Check in went smoothly. Only one elevator working with no out of service sign on the other. Lobby was extremely hot and muggy so waiting 10mins for one elevator wasn't fun. Room was clean and quiet but warm because the ac isn't positioned great to cool the whole room. "Barnyard" style door for bathroom that isn't on the track properly nor was the door measured properly so it doesn't close nor slide at all. No vending machines work. TV remote wasn't whiped down, was still sticky from last stay.
Check in was normal but the overall hotel was hot. Once we were in the room we took our shoes off and after walking around for a moment we noticed our socks had turned black. So now we know the floor is filthy and it really makes you wonder how clean the rest is. Didn't seem clean and couldn't trust it. With that in the back of your mind it was hard to relax. Beds are very firm and made it difficult for me to sleep.
We travel to the area a lot to visit family and this was our first time staying at a Best Western. We are extremely picky about our hotels. Everything was clean. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was good. Very happy with our stay. We will go to this one first from here on out.
I was very disappointed rooms were poorly cleaned. The bathroom is a joke . You have to turn sideways to get into the bathroom . And directly behind the door so the door does not even open the whole way. The carpet is disgusting. And the noise level is loud close to the interstate. Be careful this property the first night had a power outage
Dated bathroom faucets, and tasteless breakfast. Did not feel particularly safe in this location. Behind a closed down Denney's restaurant and adjacent to a sketch looking motel. The coffee was good, however.
I have always overlooked Best Western hotels, but after reading the reviews on this one off I95 St. Augustine decided to give it a try. Arrived late at night and felt secure instantly with a well light parking lot. Greeted by a pleasant gentleman working the front desk as soon as we walked in. The room was on the first floor and was very quiet. When you opened the door, you could smell that it was cleaned. The room did not disappoint. The bed was comfortable, there was plenty of space, and the bathroom was very clean. There was a nice free breakfast in the morning with lots of options. I will be adding this to my list to stop when traveling thru Florida in the future.
The hotel was OK. It was clean and quiet. It felt kind of old and a bit run down. Staff was pleasant. Mattress was OK. Pillows are too small. Room had fridge, microwave and coffee pot. Breakfast was ok.
Traveled for business, location off the interstate was as good (save the construction and awkward intersection) as could be expected. Front facing room did not experience road noise. Clean property with friendly staff.
The hotel was clean, the personnel very polite, beds really comfortable, and they offer a full breakfast...just what we needed in the location we preferred, close to I-95 and lots of restaurants. It had been refreshed not too long ago.
Can't go wrong with Best Western. Clean rooms are always ready when you arrive, this is our second stay at the St Augustine hotel. Restaurants within walking distance of hotel. Compared to other hotels Best Western is the place to stay.
We have stayed here before. The hotel is very clean and beds are comfortable. You are close proximity to the I-95, restaurants and the outlets if you care to shop. Breakfast was plentiful and the reception area has coffee and lemon water. The internet was spotty but it might have been our phones. We will continue to stay here as we enjoy the hotel.
We didn't have much of a choice on hotels as everything was booked solid and expensive. Wasn't worth the $260 a night price tag, that's for sure. Found a ball of hair in middle of floor of room as soon as we got there. Staff prob doing best they can bring short of help. Folks were nice. Convenient location. Would have expected to pay much less. Breakfast was blah. Went to Cracker Barrel!
Good value, very clean. Location not the best but okay. Door handle to room needs fixing. Breakfast was fine and hotel staff very friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a one night stay while traveling.
So very impressed with this hotel. Staff go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Due to road construction it is a little difficult seeing the exact turn in area but that is if no fault of the hotel. It is a comfortable place to stay
We used our points and a small fee. In our opinion, This PLUS is very clean. Rooms are quite large and the shower updated. Breakfast was definitely adequate but not my quality. If u need a freezer, it is only a refrigerator in the room.
We liked this hotel, it is near the highway and a Cracker Barrell breakfast store. The room was clean, with a bathroom that works. Check In/out was easy. Also an EV charger is available on premises which is beneficial to our hybrid van.
This hotel was in a great location. Close enough to historic St. Augustine without the price and parking issues. In general, a nice hotel and quiet from highway noise. I don't think the queen beds were quite queen size as the next hotel we stayed in were queen beds that fit 2 people way more comfortably. The pillows on the bed were not standard size as they were like square euro pillows so not sure if the pillows were old and could be squashed up enough to be square-like or if that's how these pillows were. They were not very comfortable for sleeping. The room was otherwise spacious enough for 4 female adults. The A/C worked well and the staff was friendly. We were on a trip for 12 days and liked the idea of breakfast included; however, it was disappointing. I agree with another reviewer - the coffee was horrible. Weak and not tasty. Add a generic creamer of sorts and I couldn't do it. A cup of coffee can be the great start to the day or make you wary of other potential shortcomings. I tried eggs the first day but I'm pretty sure they were those powdered scrambled eggs - a bit watery and flavorless. The bacon was about 95 % fat to 5% meat. I tried cereal - both Post Raisin Bran and Fruit Loops. Both were stale. The bagels had little flavor, the cream cheese was more of a spread and there was only margarine, no butter. The pumpkin flavored waffle batter was fairly tasty and the bananas were fresh. The juice was not juice but flavored, watered-down juice drinks. An option of hard boiled eggs could have potentially saved breakfast, but I did not like having to stop else where for coffee every day. I would stay here again, but I would also pre-plan to make sure I could start my day with a great cup of coffee. Seriously, please consider upping your coffee game.
Overall great stay. Easy check in. Atmosphere when you walk in to the lobby is nice. Good size breakfast area. Had eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles for breakfast. Pool area seemed nice outside but I didn't go out there. Room was modern, updated and clean. Beds were comfortable, pillows not that comfortable. AC worked well. Would return again if on another road trip. Would also recommend to others. Very close to the Premium outlets so perfect for shopping.
Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. When rolling in at almost midnight there were probably 10 people congregated out in front outside of the doors being loud and seemed to be drinking. Checkin was fast and easy, the person who checked us in was friendly. This was the only positive piece. The elevator was a rough ride and jolted when it stopped, we had not yet seen the review about it dropping a floor. Needless to say we didn't get back on it. We got to our room and opened the door and the overwhelming smell of mildew/mold hit us and the room felt DAMP. We expect it to be humid, it's Florida, but everything in the room felt dirty and wet. We sat on the bed and instantly our pants felt wet. Did not feel clean and we saw a previous review about bedbugs so out of an abundance of caution we slept under just the top blanket and did not use the pillows. We won't be back.
Obviously newly renovated, and in very nice shape. Close to I-95 but nice and quiet. Good breakfast choice, friendly staff. Lots of nearby restaurants of all types, and downtown St Augustine is a 15 minute drive. Only problem was a very slow internet, but no way of knowing it that was a 1 time thing, or endemic.
Room was clean. decent amenities. Hotel staff was accommodating. Close to restaurants, some shopping. Nice location, clean property easy access right off and on Hwy. Enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back again
Room's door would not open/close unless you really pull/push hard. Toilet, bathtub, desk was obviously not cleaned well. Breakfast was good with waffle maker, eggs, bacon, sausages, toast and fruits. Coffee was terrible. Will not come back.
Two sets of towels in a king size room for 2 people that takes at least 2 showers a day for 3 nights and 2 days. Had to go to the front desk and get towels 2 at a time every time you took a shower. No room service. 2 elevators, but only one worked the whole time and it was slow.
Staff was friendly, room was clean and comfortable. Price was unbeatable and it was close enough to everything we wanted to do. The entire family enjoyed. We would def recommend and stay again when in the area.
Everything seemed new. Very clean. Perfect for a young family with children. My children were happy with the pool. I liked the exercise room. Everyone was satisfied with the breakfast in the roomy and clean eating area.
This hotels was very good and super clean. it was close enough to the beach considering the amazing price! staff was super nice and attentive. the hotel ID close to a bunch of fast foods as well. I will definitely recommend !!
Great room, if a bit larger than we needed (we were really only there to sleep, lol). Helpful and friendly staff, and they even had a resident cat to pet (out of doors). Recommended if you're in St. Augustine.
Best Western Plus hotels wil not let you down. Some have bigger rooms, but all the rooms are large to begin with and this location is no different. The hotel was very clean and kept up nicely. The staff is super nice, and was always willing to assist with questions. Definitely our go to hotel.
This area is brimming with multiple places to stay but having stayed at Best Western previously this was a no brainer. From the front desk staff to the super clean room and then the incredible breakfast, WOW Actually if i get to return to the area and tour St Augustine this is the place I would stay
Great location, close to outlets!! We had a great weekend away, definitely would stay again. Front check in staff were fast and friendly as well as check out. Rooms were clean. One elevator didn't work but not a big deal.
This hotel experience was great. Housekeeping was excellent in keeping us stocked with clean towels as well as keeping the trash emptied. Additionally, the location of the hotel was perfect. Within 5 minutes of every location we toured.
The place is clean and nice, but the beds were hard as rocks. The pillows are so small. When we took showers, we came out feeling extremely oily. The ac is way too close to the bed and doesn't cool the room evenly.
Very relaxing and enjoyable. Nice room with comfortable beds and the bathroom was very clean. , decent breakfast, great staff. I would definitely stay again. I would stay there again and use the pool and gym.
Very nice hotel with ample, well lighted parking. The room and hotel were clean and quiet. Comfortable bed, good pillows, cold AC. Breakfast bar had a good variety of hot and cold foods to choose from.
Loved the hotel and it's location it was Convenient to places around restaurants restaurants were conveniently located close it close hotel was very clean staff was very polite I have no complaints I will stay at this hotel again
Send the night on the trip back to South Florida. Nice and clean rooms and all. Was up and on our way before the breakfast was open. Staff was friendly. Plenty of restaurants close by. We did eat dinner at Fords garage, nice food and atmosphere.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The kids loved the pool. The staff was great. The pool was clean. Wish they did a little better breakfast. It was very crowded and Ran out of coffee. But overall a great place.
So I really researched reviews because this was our first trip staying at a hotel since COVID. I was very concerned to book a hotel that was CLEAN and a good value. Because we were staying the night before Easter, the room was more expensive than normal BUT it was important to me to stay somewhere that was clean and didn't say there were bugs, etc. The room was very clean and the front desk was helpful, I was afraid I might need a late check out and they were accommodating. I did not use the amenities but we did go down for coffee and a light breakfast in the morning. An employee was there cleaning after everyone and everything was stocked and clean, no issues. The only issue I had were the little pillows, they were weird and I had a hard time getting comfortable to go to sleep. Eventually, I worked it out but I'm not sure what's going on with the little pillows. Location was close to family and to the downtown and we felt safe, no issues there. All in All I rate my experience a 9 out of 10 and would stay here again. I took photos and will upload them to the Best Western site when I get a chance.
The hotel was decent enough, clean, friendly staff, and a good breakfast. The location left a bit to be desired- no good restaurants nearby (except one), and the construction and traffic was not cute. So, for a stopover, fine, for a few days stay, meh.
Stayed for two nights in St. Augustine for part of our spring trip to Florida. Overall the hotel was nice. Hotel seemed fairly new or recently updated. Close to outlet mall shops and short drive to historic district. We did have a problem with ants in our room that I reported. Hopefully this issue has been resolved.
Very clean and attentive staff definitely recommend! The breakfast was great ! The bed was comfortable the king bed was perfect for our family of four. Will definitely be coming back . Used laundry as well great quality.
The hotel was nice and clean, large room. My only complaint is the pillows. They are the size of a throw pillow, but overly stuffed to the point of causing neck pain. Regular sized pillows would make much more sense. Never seen such.
Bring your own pillows, Hotel pillows are terrible. Couldn't find a smile on staff faces. Good location for shopping outlet mall. Breakfast good. Beds comfortable pillows so small and hard hard to sleep.
Nice hotel about 20 minutes from downtown St Augustine. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Good selection of breakfast foods. Hotel employees were friendly and gave good recommendations when asked about places to eat nearby. Only complaint was wifi was horrible.
The desk clerk was pleasant and thanked us for being Diamond members. Nonetheless, we were not supplied with an extra blanket as we had requested in the reservation and had to return to the desk to obtain one. The water pressure was so low that both my wife and I had trouble rinsing the shampoo from our hair when we showered. In addition, the sink faucet was set back so far that you cracked your knuckles against the sink when trying to wash your hands. And why are the toilets always so low???!!! The Wifi Internet speed was quite low when measured by speedtest.net. 7 Mbps down and 4 up. Later it measured at 10 Mbps down. The room was probably one of the darkest we have used after using our light blocking techniques, but the traffic was noisy until after midnight. Breakfast was the usual scrambled eggs though the odd-looking sausage actually was quite flavorful. But the coffee was weak, even when holding down the "Robust" key on the machine. The only fruit was oranges and the juice machine gave mostly water, not juice.
The past few trips to St. Augustine we've stayed near the historic district. This time we opted for this hotel which just off of I-95. Check in was quick and easy and there are several options for dinner within walking distance or a short drive away. The room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable but not luxurious. There is a free breakfast available from 6 until 9. As hotel breakfasts go, this is one of the better ones I've experienced. The scrambled eggs and sausage were hot and kept fresh and there was plenty of room to sit down and enjoy. Check out was easy. For an overnight stop, I would definitely use this hotel again.
We were disgusted to find blood stains on the bedsheets. When I started reading the reviews online I realized that everything negative being said online about Best Western was in fact true. Staff member was arrogant and cocky and I have yet to receive an apology from the hotel.
Dirty socks on floor from prior guest. Half used conditioner with hair in the cap. Toilet that didn't flush well and was t bolted down. Curtains in shreds. Spent way too much for a terrible room. Never again.
Internet isn't strong enough to stream anything. Even after the system was reset it was not usable. Room had hair and a bandaid on the floor so clearly not cleaned properly. Squeaky/loud a/c unit so we had to move rooms.
This hotel was very clean and comfortable and the best hotel on our 10-day trip. Convenient to Old town St. Augustine. The staff was very helpful with maps and directions. The bathroom has a very nice tub and shower.
They were very busy, short staffed and a full house, but still provided excellent service, a comfortable, clean room and a good hot breakfast. There was a sign saying that, due to short staff, check-in would be 4pm instead of 3pm, but that was not a problem for us. They are conveniently located just off I-95.
I have stayed at this hotel each year for the past 5 years. The staff are friendly and courteous. The rooms are clean and pleasant. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The area around the breakfast room was clean. All items were replaced as needed.
Hotel was neat and clean. Looks like it was recently remodeled. Comfortable room, no daily service, but that is ok. We understand the employment situation around the country. Great restaurants in St. Augustine. I didn't care for the breakfast.
Needs to be remodeled and deep cleaned. Beds and pillows uncomfortable. Coffee is bad. Eggs were cold and salty. Hallways smelled like sewage. Luggage cart was broken. I usually pick BW when traveling, but won't stay at this location again. Front desk was very helpful and friendly.
Very friendly check in. Was told my BW benefits and thanked for being a rewards member. A little short on staff and apologized, but it was not a long wait! Place is very clean and looks new because of the great maintenance and cleaning. Hot breakfast.
We had just gone to sleep. And somebody open the door to our room. They over booked the hotel and gave somebody else our room as well. So it scared my entire family. When contacting the front desk all they did was apologize and not try to make it right. The next morning we went downstairs to get something out of our car and we couldn't get back into our room because our keys wouldn't work. But again when talking to the customer service person at the desk they could care less. We will never stay at a best Western again
Overall, the one night stay was fine. Seems they tried to upgrade but fell short of a complete job. Bathrooms were updated but the door bottom was rotted. Elevators need maintenance. A do the door locks. The room was clean but the windows were filthy. I thought the hallways were a bit musty. Glad they had luggage carts but they needed maintenance also, quite wobbly. The breakfast buffet was fine.
quiet, clean and efficient. a very pleasant experience for a group of hard working men. What more can I say ? -- 200 characters is a lot for a short stay and folks who are there to get a restful nights sleep so they can maximize their work day. Which we have just advised was accomplished, in 87 characters.
Stayed two nights visiting St Augustine. Decent room and price/night just over $100. So fairly inexpensive. Room was ok. Breakfast was pretty bare bones. Seemed like a couple local “homeless?” folk have made it a regular stop for a meal in the morning. Not the best vibe for vacationers if that's the case. Also turn on the tv as the acoustics in the breakfast area are such that you can hear everyone else's conversation. Which Was unwelcome. Odd that lights were off in parts of the lobby area including the smallish business lounge area. Not the way to save a couple $ IMO. Least nice of the 3 BW's we stayed at this trip, but okay. Location right off 95.
Sewer gas smell in toilet, shower curtain didn't extend to floor so water covered the floor following shower. Staff did provide extra towels to soak up the water flow. No grab bar in shower, no place for soap or shampoo. Recommend the 2queen bed room vs the king. Last trip no issues this trip big dissatisfaction.
Definitely happy with our stay. The associate that was taking care of breakfast was Awesome and so was the breakfast! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The price was good. I would definitely return to this hotel!
Our stay was good overall the bed was uncomfortable had to have the maid place blankets between the mattress and the fitted sheet to soften the bed. The deadbolt on the door did not work properly had to push in the deadbolt manually so that we could close the door and it was a problem each time we entered and exited the door. The light in the foyer did not seem to have an on and off switch the switch next to the door did not seem to control that light. On the flipside the rooms were clean the breakfast buffet was very good great way to start the day. The hotel was very clean and I did enjoy the fact that it was not right in the heart of old town Saint Augustine because we traveled during the holiday Thanksgiving timeframe and that area was very very crowded we enjoyed the fact that it was far enough away from old town that we did not hear the noise at night. If they would repair those issues then I would recommend the stay at Best Western.
Everything was very nice. Had a good breakfast too. Easy access to this hotel off of I95. There was a Dennys within walking distance which was very convenient. The room was very comfortable and clean. We would stay here again if we were passing through this area.
This Best Western was very clean and the breakfast was varied and good. We will come again. Easy access to I-95. Many different places near by to eat. Near a large outlet mall for shopping. Accept service dogs.
The hotel was in a great location to the local attractions of St. Augustine, the breakfast really set me up for the day, with the hot breakfast option of ham and scrambled egg. The staff were friendly and the hotel was nice and clean.
This hotel is a very nice place. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good more than just pastries. The location was also convenient. The price was reasonable.
While not central to the town the condition of the hotel and the room made my stay here very comfortable and enjoyable. It was only a short drive into St. Augustine. The reception staff was friendly and courteous.
We enjoyed our stay at Best Western Plus in St Augustine. It was clean. People were friendly and it fit our needs. Our room was rather small for a King size bed, but other than that, I cannot complain. I would also like to add that I am a hotel snob about cleanliness. So if I say it's clean, it was. Everyone has their own idea of clean, so its hard to trust reviews,
Staff were very helpful with great information about the area and attractions. Lady that prepared breakfast was amazing. Two types of real meat and scrambled real eggs. lots of pastries, and breads, fruit, yogurt and best of all pancakes with sugar free syrup. Our room was immaculate and room was very quiet with great black-out curtains. We actually managed to over sleep.
Excellent hot breakfast spotlessly clean. Most pleasant staff I have found at any level hotel. The rooms were immaculate. Very quiet! The rooms darken very well, so we actually over slept because it was so peaceful. The staff were the friendliest I have found at any hotel.
When we decided to vacation in St. Augustine, my husband had two requests: no more than $140 a night, and an exercise room. That pretty much ruled out anything lovely near the water, so I looked at major chain hotels nearby, and settled on the Best Western Plus at the intersection of I-95 and Hwy 16. 15 minute drive to downtown St. Augustine - not bad. We've always had good experiences with Best Western, so I booked the reservation for 3 nights. When we arrived at the hotel, the hallway was filled with a putrid sewer gas smell. Not a good start. Our room was freshly remodeled, but the walls, carpet, and furniture was all dark gray. Even the artwork on the walls was black and white photography - not a pop of color anywhere. Very depressing. At 7 pm on our second evening, I went down to the front desk to get quarters for the laundry machines. The manager informed me that he was out of quarters, and since he was the only staff in the hotel, he couldn't get more. He wasn't very pleasant about it, either. My husband had to go out looking for change at a nearby business. Then, as if all that wasn't enough, the next morning around 10 am when we were in the middle of showers, the maid insisted on taking our trash cans and used towels right then, even though we said we'd be going out soon. I have never had that happen before, even though we travel a lot. Thank goodness that St. Augustine was wonderful. Otherwise this vacation would have been awful.
Clean room, nice and quiet place to rest and enjoy time away from home. Quick drive to historic district and some romantic places to be found. Outside pool and hottub were nice to get into after a long day of adventure.
Excellent stay. Everything was perfect. Beautiful room, nice and clean. Easy check-in and check-out. Great full breakfast. Love out stay and loved St. Augustine's friendly residents. Will definitely go back.
This place was great! Very clean and comfortable. It's very close to the highway but very quiet. My traveling companion and I slept really well. We didn't hear any noise from 95 at all! Breakfast was satisfying and the staff was pleasant and helpful! Would definitely stay again!!
to whom it may concern, this is the worst hotel to stay. The rooms were dirty and filty. walls were dirty and bathroom was leaking water. customer service is also not good . No one should have to pay and live in condition like this. very horrible. due to covid on the rise you should be in condition like this, The room are not sanitized at all . my
We were going to stay at another hotel but walked in the front door and smelled a musty odor so we walked out and went around the corner to the Best Western and what a wonderful treat. The staff was friendly, the lobby was welcoming and our rooms was excellent. The breakfast was good and the lady tending to the breakfast bar was super helpful and made sure the food was fresh and plentiful. We will definitely stay here on our next trip.
Excellent service, people are very friendly, everything was perfect, I have no issues at all. Very professional. I recommended 100%. The room was very clean and complete. When I need something they do everything they can to accomplish what I want.
I was over charged for my room and not given my money back told it'd take a week or so. Called everyday to try and speed up the money back since I'm from out of state. Could not get anything but wait a week or so. Sorry place
The Hotel is was very clean. The check- in it was very fast and the price is good. The location was convenient. Have breakfast every morning like Buffet. I was looking for a Premium Outlets and for my surprise is one about 2 minutes from the Hotel.
Very clean and accommodating with handicap mother. A knowledgeable staff (Daniel) on excursions and excellent places to eat! Price on hotel was fair and provided a full breakfast buffet. Would definitely stay here again!
I would not recommend this BW because was not recognized as an elite member at check-in and the room was clean except for old, smelly carpet and slippery tile floors. The water was very hard and felt like soap would not wash off hands or body. The breakfast food options were not as good as last BW stayed at. The staff were not very welcoming nor friendly. Maybe since we checked in at 10;30 at night and the clerk was working a double shift he was tired.
The entire hotel experience was very pleasant, starting with the check-in process, continuing with a clean and comfortable room, breakfast treats, and a smooth check-out process. The location was convenient for travelers and overall it was a good value.
The rooms are very comfortable and the Customer service rep was extremely nice helped us with everything to get checked in. Had a good nights rest , Everything was extremely quiet! The hotel was a great experience! We will use this hotel again if we come back and travel through
Great location, beautiful view, comfortable bed, nice pool and it wasn't crowded and everything was clean! I would definitely stay again! The only complaint I have is the front desk staff. They weren't very friendly.
The room was very clean. Everything worked great, tv, microwave, fridge. Bathroom was well lit and met our needs. We used the whirlpool and it was very clean and enjoyable after a long day of sightseeing. Will definatly stay here again. Our only complaint is with a young man at the front desk when we first arrived named Daniel. We arrived at 11:30am and we were aware that check in is not until 3pm.I approached the desk and mentioned that we have a room reserved and before I could ask another question he snapped very rudely to me that CHECK IN IS NOT UNTIL 3:pm. I told him I was aware of that but needed to know where the rest room was so we could freshen up. He again rudely said DOWN THE HALL!!! We didn't know where to go and he was certainly not helpful in any way. Was pleasantly surprised at 3:30 when Latoya was at the front desk for our check in.
This was overall unprofessional and just ghetto. Grab and go breakfast was terrible, the juice machine was extra watered down. Only coffee tasted good. Elevators old and felt like it could break at any moment besides the fact that they were super dirty, I'm pregnant and I the first day desk provided me with towels for the pool, second day front desk told me they don't have towels and told me I need to look for housekeeping and ask for towels! Seriously? SO GHETTO!
The hotel was pretty nice and clean. I didn't like the grab and go breakfast; and another bad thing was that their jacuzzi wasn't working which sucked. The stuff was pretty friendly other than that, I can't say anything bad about it.
Wonderful and courteous staff. .Had a great time. The rooms were very clean and pretty new. Beds were comfortable. Thank you guys. Shout out to Petra, Nadine, Shaniel, Kismet and Kimika . The parking is available and there are no charges. Seven miles from downtown, where the prices are much higher.
Parking lot well lit. Pool is not heated. Hot tub does not get hot. Building very clean. Room set up is nice. Staff is friendly enough. They do not clean your room or make the bed or change sheets during the stay. You will probably have to ask for clean towels at least once during your stay due to no one coming in your room by night time to switch out dirty for clean.
Clean room, but poor coffee and unappetizing “grab and go” breakfast. Easy and cordial check-in. Couple hundred yards odd I-95. Three low end restaurant's nearby : Denny's, Ruby Tuesday and Cracker Barrel.
Had a great stay here recently. They asked and then changed me from a 2 queens room to a king bed room, which was great because I didn't need two beds for my stay. The breakfast was okay, but not much you can do about that during COVID as it wasn't their regular breakfast. Didn't get a chance to try out pool, hot tub, or workout room, but they all looked nice. Room was clean and comfortable, would definitely stay here again. It was also close to 95 without hearing all the cars on it and close to many restaurants.
The older male that seemed to be working the overnight shift was extremely helpful and had great customer service. I rated 3 stars because the rooms were nicely clean but the carpet felt sticky when I was walking on it. I had to keep on shoes. Also , housekeeping came to clean but the cleaning was bare minimum , I had to ask her to vacuum when that should've been done regardless. The lady was very sweet though. Additionally , I went down to the pool area to enjoy a night in the jacuzzi , only to find it was “broken” and the water was freezing cold. That ruined my night. Lastly , half of the drinks in the soda machine were sold out. But other than that , the hotel was nice & clean & the staff were friendly. I would recommend this hotel to someone.
We really enjoyed our stay! They were efficient and had 2 rooms close together as we requested. Very clean and nice! My husbands is handicapped and we had a room very close to the elevator which we appreciated. They accurately filled our request! Abe and Carolyn Geertsema
The single most important thing to me in a hotel is the customer service. The reception at the Best Western Plus was welcoming and the front desk attendant, Daniel, was superb. Dan was very helpful in providing in providing insight and information on how to get around St. Augustine, the attractions, and good times to visit. I was very impressed with his customer service and simple willingness to help answering questions. All the representatives we encountered were friendly and helpful. We will stay again at this Best Western Plus in St. Augustine for the great customer service, cleanliness, modern spaces and comfortable rooms, among other great things.
This was a super nice and clean hotel. Although it's not right by the historic district, it's a short and easy 12 minute drive. It was convenient and easy to find parking around all the action. We enjoyed it but wish they would put their breakfast back to normal!
Everything was great except the not normal 'breakfast' grab & go bags....only until 9am!!! Ridiculous! Even McD's has breakfast til 10:30am! And the shampoo/conditioner bottles just keep getting smaller and smaller! I have long hair, needed at least 3 of each just for me!
Great time and comfort, we always use best western rewards program for our hotel stays, we travel to Florida alot for family visits were from indian so any rewards we can get we use & they come in handy to save $$ for gifts and shells which i love and the beach
Stayed here for 2 nights! Everything was very clean, beds were comfortable! We did not eat breakfast here. Only complaint is the shower heads. Had hardly any pressure! Other than that 10/10. Would stay here again!
Just needed a place to spend the night on our return north from Florida. This BW was just off I 95. It was clean and had everything we needed. The front desk was hospitable. We missed the breakfast due to the pandemic guidelines.
The room was very comfortable, a suite. My husband has bad knees and the bathroom was very comfortable for him. The bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows were great. There were other BW downtown St Augustine, but was afraid of the traffic noise, I am a light sleeper
All you need from an updated hotel...clean, comfortable, accommodating. Bed and furnishings, clean, comfortable. Desk chair unusable, but no deal-breaker. Shower, good. Parking-convenient. Good choice of nearby restaurants. Miles Weary I95 travelers will not be disappointed...easy off and on the interstate. Refreshed and ready for the road the next morning. Overall good choice...
The hotel was clean, the check-in person was great. The only problems were stupid bag breakfast and knowing you pay more on a weekend night than during the week. The place was almost empty but the staff was excellent. No complaints!
Overall it was ok. The beds was a little hard, the receptionist was pleasant, but not an outgoing person. Location was great, right off I95 and plenty of shopping and restaurants . Also there was a Denny's located right in front of the hotel. They served breakfast, but they were sack breakfast. I will stay there again. This was our first trip to St. Augustine.
Good location with ample eating opportunities nearby. Unlike other Best Westerns this one does not offer (covid) grab and go breakfast. There is coffee in the lobby. Front desk staff is friendly and efficient. Room was very clean and well appointed.
If you're looking for a hotel that is close to I-95 this one works. However, room was very small. Pillows were not standard size and not comfortable. Small bagged breakfast. Pool/exercise rooms are closed (quarantine).
Stayed one night in order to go down to St Augustine historic district on Christmas day. Hotel was great. Very well appointed, clean, quiet, comfortable. Staff was nice. Absolutely no complaints. We would stay here again. Like most hotels during covet many of entities were not available like breakfast, pool, gym, etc.
The service was great & room was clean. The hotel is about 25 mins for the historic district, I knew that coming into so I can't complain. We had 4 separate rooms and no one had one complaint. They took great care of our big group.
I would recommend the hotel. Clean, safe quiet. No breakfast.just a bag with an apple and pastry. You can do better with front desk staff, seemed tired of being there. Overall I will give it an 8 out of 10.
Our room and the hotel was clean. Our bed was clean and comfortable. No frills. The only bathroom supply was one bar of soap, that was already opened (maybe my wife opened it). No shampoo or other things you see in other places. Breakfast was a to go bag (using covid as an excuse) you had to ask for. I did ask for mine after nine am and the desk clerk got one for me anyway.
Great stay.. Property was excellent.. Clean room, modern decor, soft bed, cable tv & big screen tv.. Great location, shopping, fast food Within 5mins.. Dennys for breakfast is right outside your door.Historical District 15mins.. Will stay again❤.
Very nice hotel.very clean.comfort bed.beautiful areas.very quiet.good price.good service Finally. I foud a good hotel.accesible place.dennys on the side for brakfast.i recommended this hotel.all in one.Good job
We stayed two nights for a wedding and I highly recommend this hotel! The Staff was extremely courteous and quick! Rooms were updated, clean, comfy and spacious! I will definitely stay here again and again!! Thank you Holiday Inn!
It has been the worst experience I have ever had in a hotel. The room was totally dirty the carpet smelled bad the bathroom floor was dirty and in the shower there was a cockroach and when I told the person at the reception she told me "these things happen" I stayed two nights and they didn't go to cleaning the room, I had to go down to the reception to get clean towels. The elevator was dirty all disgusting I do not recommend anyone to stay in this hotel.
Almost perfect stay. Great location, 5 minutes from downtown, Fair price Very clean, front desk very helpfull. Best price from area. Hotel always near outlet. Enjoyable stay, no noise . No breakfast as Covid prevents it.
Great location, quiet, nice, and clean. I traveled with my family of 12 people four hours away from home. We had another reservation somewhere else that ended up in a disaster. We needed 4 rooms in the last minutes and I called Best Western. The Front Desk person was very nice and helped us tremendously.
I have spent several nights in this s hotel, and it's quiet, well-decorated, and conveniently located. The staff are s friendly and helpful. Apparently I am required to write 200 characters for this review, which I don't appreciate.
This Best Western Plus was recently renovated and it shows. The room was large and clean with excellent mattresses. Because of Covid-19 no breakfast was served and unlike other motels we stayed at no To Go bag was offered. I was offered a 10% discount at Denny's but we did not want a long breakfast. A to Go bag is a better option.
Quiet and nice hotel right off interstate, due to Covid breakfast area closed however, Denny's in front of hotel and offered discount to hotel guest. If you do not want to stay in the main attraction area this is a good choice, not a far drive to downtown.
Food and beverage for breakfast was suspended at the Best Western I-95 St. Augustine, FL hotel on Sept. 12, 2020. The hotel's website did not indicate that breakfast would not be offered, in fact the website for this particular hotel stated that a hot breakfast was included. We chose this hotel based on the breakfast offering.
Carpet was so sticky we had to wear socks in our room at all times. There was no hot breakfast as advertised which is why we selected this hotel. We had to purchase breakfast elsewhere both mornings. Pool and spa were open but flooded with fireants. My children and I left with huge bites on our arms and legs. Room was otherwise clean and functional. Staff was polite.
The ac was obnoxiously loud as it turned on and off it sounded like a tractor trailer the room was also missing a clock the room was clean it was very quiet I dnt like the square pillows though. I like that they have lmn network
This hotel was great. If you want a room close to but not on the beach this is an excellent location. They had Covid practices in place with signs outlining them. The staff was courteous and informative.
I understand that certain guidelines are in place due to COVID-19; however, they had ice machines out of order, empty vending machines and no breakfast is available even though they still advertise it as an amenity. When I questioned them about the vending machines being empty because I thought it might be intentional, they told me "I need to just walk to the other floors to see if those machines were empty too". Other hotels we stayed in (within the last week) are offering "to-go" options on breakfast and were less expensive.
Our experiences was very good . The Hotel staff make us feel like home. The Hotel location and the surrounding amazing. Closer to very good outlet mall, restaurant and good stores . Thank you very much
the hotel is right off the expressway close to everything you need the hotel it self is nice clean the staff is very pleasant rooms nice the price is affordble very quieti would stay here again if i am in st augustine again
Stayed at the Best Western Plus in St Augustine this year. The staff was super nice, clean rooms, and a really great location. It was amazing. And it only about 15 minutes from Vilano Beach. We will be back for sure. They were top notch, We really enjoyed our stay.
Little costly for the refrigerator not to work properly, a/c soaked the floor, alarm, clock stored working causing me to be late for work. The male behind the counter made excuses instead of fixing the problems
We originally had planned on staying at a different best western, however, it wasn't clean. We left and came here and couldn't be more happy with the hotel and staff! Superior service! We will most deff stay when in the area again in September!
We stayed overnight and the hotel was super clean and staff very helpful. Late check in was available which was great. Location is great for waking up and getting on 95 quickly. We had a great experience over all
Hotel is clean and renovated. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Check in and check out went smooth. Please be aware that the breakfast is closed. Call before reservation to get updates and no surprises.
When booking there was no mention of the breakfast being canceled because of covid 19. Otherwise the rooms were nice and the hotel was very convenient to both attractions and dining. Would recommend for visiting St Augustine.
Wanted to visit downtown without spending a fortune. Lobby and room were very modern and clean. Comfortable bed and pillows. Location was good, close to downtown, food and shopping. Staff was friendly and professional. Would stay again.
This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The room was clean and the bed was amazing. The lady at the front desk was so sweet. I will be making this my permanent hotel when we visit Saint Augustine
Understandably the pandemic forces breakfast, pool, and gym to close, and glass between front desk and guests is reasonable. But in a grey hotel using daylight (bluish white light bulbs throughout) made for a very cold experience. If you're looking for a cold, mechanical experience that is a safe distance from humanity and just a place to sleep for the night, this is a good fit.
Everything was very nice - exceptionally clean as usual - have stayed here before that is why I chose to stay again. Because of Covid-19 they could not serve breakfast- missed that - but price was lower - if in the area again will definitely stay here.
Nice hotel, convenient location, right off highway. Rooms were clean and property was in good shape. The breakfast was below average unfortunately. Other than that it was pleasant stay. Staff were friendly.
All staff was great! I feel horrible for forgetting names. Check-in front desk lady was great, very informative. Breakfast lady, awesome! Overnight front desk, Amazing! Check out lady was nice, but definitely didn't impact my stay like the first 3 ladies. Even our housekeeper was great! Thanks for the stay!!
Got this hotel for an amazing price. At the time it was $96 per night through booking.com, a 3-night stay cost us about $330 WITH FEES INCLUDED for a 4-star hotel!! We were super happy! It's clean and modern inside, staff are super nice and informative with things to do around St. Augustine, breakfast is THE best I've seen out of any other hotel I've been at, rooms are nice and spacious, A/C works TOO WELL which isn't a bad thing and it's pretty quiet around here. Only complaints I'd have is the coffee is disgusting, hot tub really isn't a bubbly hot tub but more of a still water warm tub and it's freaking freezing in room 318. The entire 3rd floor was frigid... Other than that, the stay itself and the hotel was really good.
The hotel was comfortable and convenient to the highway as well as attractions. Rooms are well equipped. The staff was knowledgeable and courteous. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. I recommend this hotel. The price was appropriate.
We stayed at this Best Western for four nights to attend a family wedding in St. Augustine. It was clean, conveniently located with lots of parking. Our only complaint was that there was only one person at the check-in desk at 3:30, and she also had to answer the phone. I had pre-registered but we still waited at least 20 minutes to check in.
The front counter staff were very friendly & knowledgeable, recommending a restaurant in downtown St Augustine that was amazing! The hotel felt brand new, the rooms were clean, the breakfast extensive & delicious. The lady looking after the breakfast area was very pleasant, happy & had a lovely smile. It's great staff who help make a stay enjoyable!
this hotel is in a great location. It is easily accessed from the interstate and a short drive to St Augustine. We stayed here while traveling to Port Canaveral and cost was much more affordable than Cocoa Beach. Rooms were very clean and hotel was well maintained. Latoya checked us in easily. Maps and brochures were readily available for exploring St Augustine. A well maintained breakfast was served and area kept clean.
Excellent location great front desk service and excellent workers in the breakfast room. Wish they offered water and USA Today in check in. Very quiet and good recommendations for meals and area attractions.
We booked a one night stay, and wanted to be near I-95 to get back on our car trip in the morning. Here is what was right : the breakfast, the staff, the fresh paint, carpet and furniture. It was very clean. Here is what needs improvement and because the hotel is going through updates , I hope they are getting to these things: 1) the awfully loud ac/heat unit. The noise kept us up all night, through earplugs. 2) The bed and pillows need replacement. 3) The internet speed was unacceptable. I missed a work deadline because the internet kept throwing us off the server. I didn't feel we got a full value for our stay.
A very short stay, on our way back home from Florida. Very clean hotel, staff was very friendly and breakfast was great! Wish we had more time to visit St. Augustine, will definitely come back and hopefully see mother Daytona Race as it was rained out while we were there!
This was one of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed in. The bed was cozy, as were the pillows, and room. I did not have the breakfast, but it smelled good! I did not use the pool either, but it looked clean. Overall, it was comfortable and quiet. I would definitely recommend it.
Excellent hotel for the right price. Hotel was extremely clean, bed comfortable, and staff welcoming. Would definitely stay here again... very convenient for visiting St Augustine's historic sites without having to deal with the crowds.
Very busy the two weekend nights we were. Staff were efficient but always seemed to want to get on to their next task. Breakfast choices were pretty standard. Coffee from the single serving powdered coffee machine was terrible - no fresh brewed option. Room was clean, well equipped and quiet. The wireless internet signal deteriorated the closer you got to the window. Would probably stay closer or in downtown if visiting again.
A hotel with clean and decently furnished rooms that served a very good breakfast. One major problem that I can't ignore is that after checking in we went to our room and while I dug in my pocket for the door lock card I leaned against the door and it flew open. I called the front desk right away to notify them of the problem and was told we would have to wait for maintenance to get around to fixing the door lock. After driving 8 hrs on the I-95 all we wanted to do was to go out and have supper and then come back to our room for a night's rest. I asked for another room and was told they were all reserved. I had to tell the clerk that the solution was simple, he needed to switch our room with that of another guest who had yet to arrive and fix the door lock while the room was unoccupied. Certainly not a difficult problem to solve and yet it was something he didn't want to do, until I insisted upon it. Best Western Hotels seem to be slipping in their commitment to customer care.
Breakfast, front desk were great and rooms were very comfortable and clean. Loved the hotel except that the promised queen size beds were actually only full sized beds. Too small and uncomfortable for my son and his wife. I only hope that if I book the king sized bed that it is as advertised and actually is king sized.
The Birthday Party was fa6just like her. The hotel was just right for the guess that stayed the 2 nights for the bash. The breakfast was okay. The man at the service desk that worked from 3 to 11pm was nasty to people but the lady that was with him with a accent made up for his nasty behavior. He is not friendly at all.
Great stay. Very accommodating to our needs. Hotel was immaculate. Beautifully remodeled, thought it was new. As a smoker, it was very nice to be provided with a comfortable seating area off to the side near the front door, in lieu of an area in the back of the hotel or near a dumpster. Thank you for showing the smokers respect. A special thank you to Ms.Judy for finding and returning my cell phone. I appreciate your honesty.
We have been staying here for the past 6 yrs. We returned after the change over. There was always someone to answer our questions. and direct us when needed. Breakfast was always warm and plentiful. We plan on returning.
A very attractive property. The rooms were quiet and the mattress was very good. There were two items of concern : (1) The bathtub is dangerously slick. Although there was a rubber mat provided, it was too small. If you stepped off of the mat, YOU WILL GET HURT. (2) Breakfast is served starting at 6:00AM. We ate about 6:30AM and the sausage patties and Canadian Bacon were cold and tasted as if they were "left over" from the day before.
Hotel room was fine, nothing special, breakfast was bad/ country gravy was like warm milk no meat, bad tasting, worst ever/ sausage patties were really bad, uneatable, dry ,like cardboard,/dont know how to describe the taste other than "nasty"... and that's being kind.
Very, very nice updated motel. We had an exceptionally nice, very clean room with a king bed, comfortable couch (sleeper sofa), and an upholstered side chair. More of a suite, at the price of just a motel room. The folks at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. The hot breakfast was quite nice as well. Frankly, after two nights we kind of hated to leave this place! Great location, too. Highly recommended!
I had no complaints or negative issues with this hotel. Clean and well kept. It served me well and was a great halfway point in our travels. It was across from the outlet mall and access was easy. There was also a great Italian restaurant nearby.
The room was clean and staff friendly. A mini-frig in the room would have been most welcome. We really missed having that amenity. Breakfast was good. Location was convenient to 95 and the old town. Close to eateries and other attractions. Nearby stores to restock travel supplies and gas.
Nice hotel with spacious rooms. Good value, very clean. Hotel was close to interstate, entrance was a little tricky, but good value and clean facility. Breakfast was decent, check in and check out was quick and easy.
They've updated their look and put in some nice new colors. Everyone was very hospitable. Price/value was good. We're speedy in getting anything you needed and always greeted you. Would definitely stay again.
Average hotel, nothing special. Rooms were clean and beds were ok. Breakfast was minimal and the same every morning. WiFi was non-existent. Employees were professional but not overly friendly. Only a 15 minute drive to Historic St. Augustine.
We chose to stay at this Hotel as we had stayed here last year when it was the Wingate. Our room was lovely, plenty of towels and soap, shampoo etc. The pleasant lady on reception(Russian I think) ordered a shuttle bus for us every morning, to take us into St Augustine to ride the Red Train. We also had a very pleasant breakfast to tide us over until lunch. The girl on breakfast duties worked very hard, forever topping up the breakfast items. She was also very polite and kind. The only rude person there was the Manager who checked us out. The only two words he said were "Checking out". No how was your room, did you enjoy your visit. He could do with a customer service course. We would stay again despite his rudeness.
Got tired of driving down I-95 and booked this hotel on my cell phone. The staff was nice, the hotel was very clean. Right off of I-95 and Denny's, Cracker Barrel, and Ruby Tuesday are right there also. Ate at Cracker Barrel, which was good. Free breakfast is included, but not that great, I'd recommend Cracker Barrel for breakfast.
Nice stay at this hotel. The location included a couple of restaurants within walking distance and others very close. Close to outlet malls. Hotel lobby area very clean and included breakfast. There were two problems as I stayed on the 4th floor and the ice machine did not work and the bathroom had not been swept. Other than that a perfect stay.
its and awesome place and it has everything you could ever need. We have stayed in St. Augustine for years every Thanksgiving eve and this hotel was the very best we have stayed at. Between the wonderful room, great customer service, and the best breakfast we will surely stay again.
Stayed here on our way from Virginia to Fort Lauderdale. The room was clean and neat. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom well prepared. (4 sets of towels - 2 people!) Breakfast was plentiful with a wide variety of choices. All of the staff were nice. The only thing that might cause concern for some is that the shower water had a slight sulfur smell. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
pleasant staff who thanked me for being a rewards member upon checking in. Room was clean as was entire facility. Breakfast was fantastic way to start the day without having to go looking for a place to eat. Would deffinately stay again.
The room was very nice, the only can say is that the felt you were sleeping plywood with some cushion. Otherwise the the breakfast was good and the room was clean. I am sorry to the gentlemen who gave me my room told me he put in my marriot number , but he didnt and now i am having a problem getting the credit.
Hotel located across from outlet mall. Has been totally remodeled all rooms new. The price was also very reasonable. Good breakfast and amenities including a workout room and within walking distance of Ruby Tuesday's
It was all very good. The people working there all seemed willing to do extras that would be helpful. The included breakfast is very good and a tremendous plus. The only thing I don't like is doing surveys.
Very friendly staff. The hotel was well maintained and extremely clean. Standard hotel type breakfast. If you like shopping the hotel is very convenient to both I95 and the outlet mall. There are several restaurants within walking distance of the hotel and only a few miles from downtown St. Augustine.
There was a strange odor in the building, which some children on our floor kept yelling loudly about. At 11pm. We didn't get to enjoy most of the amenities, so I cannot speak to those. Our door latch would not engage to close, so we had to turn the bolt lock to keep it closed. Not a biggie, just a little weird. They did have a nice slap lock on the door, and that's not something I'm used to seeing on hotel room doors. It was a pleasant surprise and made me feel safe. The shower had terrible water pressure, the shower head was kind of gross, and the water was so soft that you never really felt clean, just slimy. The slick feeling made the tub extremely slippery, and we had to put one of the small towels in there to stand on for stability. I will say they definitely don't skimp on towels. I use lots for every shower and for our not quite a day (so just two showers) stay I never had to ask for more, which is not my usual experience. The breakfast was about what you'd expect. We took a few items for the road but stopped at Village Inn for proper nourishment. I only dealt with the two front desk staff members, and they were both fantastic. The facilities I did see were clean and kept in good repair. The bed was definitely comfortable, and the linens were clean. I never saw a bug, and that pretty much keeps me happy.
Thank you to the housekeeping staff for calling us on an item we left in the room. Not important to anyone else but it was to me. Honesty is still everywhere. The beds were comfortable and clean. As was the rest of the room and hotel. Very comfortable stay.
We made our reservation last minute and got a great rate! We chose the room with one king. Our room was super clean and the bed super comfortable. The breakfast service person was very hospitable. We left knowing we will be back!
The Best Western St.Augustine is a great hotel located closed to the I-95. Upon arrival, everything looks good. Large welcome area. The rooms are nice and comfortable. Rates are affordable. Breakfast is good but the coffee is awful....
Room was very nice, AC was great. Bed was very comfortable Ideal for nice weekend close the the highway, But very quiet. Breakfast was offered, but we slept in both days. Wish the pillows were a little more , too soft for me. Only upsetment was noone at front desk answered Phone for two nights. We wanted an extra blanket and could not get ahold of anyone.
The room in itself was clean, however, there was a musty smell that lingered in the room throughout my stay (3 days), not even the air condition. The staff was outstanding, from the Front Desk, Housekeeping,
Very nice hotel. Clean, fresh painted and renovated, up to date. The room is equipped with a refrigerator and a microwave. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. Well located, near restaurants, outlets and the 95.
Check in was a breeze and got a room on the 4th floor which was at the top. The bed was great and the room was super clean. The breakfast buffet was the usual which could have been warmer, but overall was good.
We just stayed at this Best Western only for one night. Good hotel at good price. The room was spacious and clean. Good breakfast. The best waffle you can made by yourself. Location is great if you're traveling on I 95.
nice, clean, no frills hotel.. slept great, was quiet. there were very minor issues with the room (bathroom lighting, etc) that we didn't bother to report since they didn't really affect us.. My kids enjoyed their pool to swim. Gym was meh. I am always leary abt breakfasts and theirs was usual basic but delicious! Whatever staff we encountered during the entire stay was very friendly and helpful day or night.. courteous and attentive to our needs and any questions we had about the area. We were just a short drive away, close to historic downtown and beaches but yet enough away from the hustle and bustle. Close to many stores and restaurants and had nearby interstate access. Me and my family were very happy with our stay!
Though I booked for the hotel before, immediately after the free cancellation ended, I received an email to tie my rewards to my reservation. The timing was very suspect to cause me to pay $100 more but the front desk clerk was very helpful with me booking at the last minute. The room was clean, the gym was decent though it's strange that the equipment faces away from the TV, the breakfast was delicious, the staff friendly, and the hot tub was lovely. The staff could have been a little more informative about the current promotion as it seems like the staff did not ask the right questions to give the right answer.
Great location. Well maintained, very reasonable rates, courteous staff, Very CLEAN room, and will definitely be staying here again. Excellent nights sleep on a great king sized bed !! Right off I95 and located in the middle of many restaurants.
A surprise weekend for my daughter's 24th bday! the hotel staff had decorated the room and had personalized wishes from the staff! Everyone was so welcoming, professional & helpful throughout our stay! Their stellar customer service made for a memorable experience!! Thank you all...
this appears to be a recently renovated hotel. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. AC was quiet although not thermostat controlled. Breakfast was very adequate. I only wish that the refrigerator had a freezer .
This was our first time staying here and it was very enjoyable the room was great location fantastic and the breakfast was great as well we will be here again thats for sure our experiance here was unforgettable very pleasent and restful.
The hotel was either rehabbed or rebuilt in December 2018, so everything looks and feels new. Getting in to the parking lot is a little confusing because of the highway entrance, You make a turn off of I-95 and then an almost immediate left into the lot, The road splits between the hotel behind the restaurants in front. But that was the worst part of our visit. Very clean and the staff was very welcoming and helpful. We came to town for a wedding, but this would be a great hotel for business travelers and "road warriors" as well. Hurricane Dorian scared off most of the other travelers that week, but the staf were ready and willing to serve regardless. The hot breakfast was very good, biscuits N gravy, scrambled eggs and sausages and bacon. Very fresh. The room was very nice, Well appointed with artwork and a big screen tv. Fast WiFi for looking up maps and keeping up with email and work. They have a coin laundry available to guests so you can wash and dry swimsuits, extra clothes etc.
Excellent experience for 4 nights during a mandatory evacuation. Room was so quiet, professional front desk, housekeeping was awesome, clean and fresh...free breakfast was fine...could use more fresh fruit but i am not complaining. I want to come back when i need a night away...loved the place...it was unexpected. Thank you!
The hotel was amazing and he staff was awesome! I can't wait to come back again next week. I travel for work and stay a lot of places and this hotel was refreshing! The room were beyond clean and as I said the hotel staff was delightful and the hotel was spotless!
The hotel sits back off the road but once you pull in it is apparent that a lot of work has been done. Everything looks and smells new. Greeted by the clerk who quickly got me a room that was quiet and comfortable. I will stay again when I come down in October.
Room was clean, water was hot, a/c worked, breakfast was tasty and filling, and the staff was helpful and friendly (especially Latoya). Highly recommended. Wish the water wasn't so soft, and the window had to be recaulked, but all went well.
We arrived there this past Sunday and left Tuesday morning. August 18-20. Room was great, with 2 small exceptions. There wasn't a shower curtain liner, so when you took a shower the floor got soaking wet and there wasn't a bathroom exhaust, so the mirror would get quickly steamed up and you started to sweat when you got out of the shower. My wife, myself and our 19 year old daughter were in the room, so we had to shut the door when we were taking our showers. When I made the reservation you could put in any desired type of accomodation. The online form said they would do their best, but there were no guarantees. I asked for a room on one of the upper floors. We got just what we wanted, the 4th. floor. The personnel at the front desk were courteous and helpful with anything needed or questions asked. The breakfast was good. The lady assisting with breakfast the 2 days we were there was also courteous and helpful. We will be coming back again.
We need the handicapped room and it was very good. Breakfast was a nice variety. Convenient for dinner to have the Denny's right in front. Only stayed overnight while traveling and didn't use the pool, but it looked nice.
We were booked for one room but the AC wasn't working ( room 217). The bed also had stains under the sheets ( I strip all linens and use my own including mattress covers and sanitize the room). The clerk personally came up to make sure the second room she assigned was working and in good order. We stayed in 218. It was comfortable and clean.
The receptionist glared at me as a walked in. Walked into a room that's sub par cleaning. The WiFi sucks. Can't even get it on my phone. There's no hand soap in the hotel room. The best thing about this hotel is the decent breakfast.
Everything was great with exception of early pool and hot tub closings. Breakfast was good variety and plentiful, rooms very nice and very roomy. Would recommend if visiting saint Augustine area. Lots of food choices in area, with Denny's being right in front of hotel.
The staff is wonderful. They are very friendly and courteous. The hotel is extremely clean. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast is very good with different varieties. It is located behind a Denny's and about 15 minutes from historic Saint Augustine. Two outlets mall within 5 minutes walking and next to I-95. Excellent hotel!
Fare deal . Best western is not what it used to be. The hotel is really nice bright and clean . Great bed. Towels and bed white and clean as can be. Very nice accommodating staff. It was less expensive than most so I think some sacrifices are made with no complimentary water bottles and very limited breakfast . More than sufficient for kids just wish a little more fresh fruit. My only real complaint was fresh brewed coffee did not exist. Machine one cups are not my thing. Clean good value with some sacrifices at morning breakfast. I would stay again if I had too but looking for better coffee
We stayed 2 nights when we got there we checked in went up to the rooms the floor wasn't done but I didn't say everything Saturday night was a nightmare 3 in the morning I found ants around the bed at first I just thought it was me Friday night I kept feeling the same thing but again I just thought it was me so I go down to the front desk to talk to talk with a night person because the phones wasn't working but she was helpful she couldn't move us because the hotel was feel but luckily we had two beds got up Sunday morning the talk with the front desk clerk attitude stink wasn't helpful at all I had to go call Priceline to make something happen ant bites on my arm but I'm not going to post the pictures I think Best Western should do something not a satisfied customer
had mistaken our dates and arrived a day early but they fitted us in. Room very comfortable and a good size, only a few minutes from old St Augustine and restaurants very easily accessible from the freeway
Great service, friendly staff. clean rooms and nice ambience Breakfast was very goodNothing more to add. Check it out yourself. would go back. Could have had a happy hr or discounted drinks made available
Used our points to stay free and glad we chose this BW. Staff was very nice from checking in to suggestions with a place to have dinner. The room was clean & comfy. We had a king room with shower. My husband didn't care for the barn door as a door to the toilet/shower.
No complaints here from this family of 5. Everything was really clean, beds were comfortable, breakfast was really good, & the staff was helpful. The pool area was kind of small in my opinion, but our kids could have cared less. They loved it!! They would have spent the entire trip in the pool if we had let them. The hotel is also at a really great location, literally right next to restaurants and outlet malls and only 15 minutes to downtown. Our middle son said it was his favorite hotel, and the kids were sad to leave. We'd definitely stay there again.
We were looking to visit St. Augustine and look at real estate in Palm Coast. This hotel was located conveniently off of I95 and was only a 15 drive to St. Augustine and a 30 minute drive to Palm Coast. The hotel was very clean and offered good breakfast options.
this hotel was very nice we enjoyed ourselves here there was an issue with ants in are room and they moved us to a different room they were polite and friendly had a blast here would definatly stay again
We had a regular 2 Queen room at the I-95 Best Western and everything was great. The hotel room was clean and well kept and the breakfast was also great. My son and I used the fitness center and it was very nice. I really liked this hotel and would recommend it to anyone.
Great location if looking for quiet place to stay just outside the busy city center. Nice, clean, breakfast was great, staff was friendly. No complaints at all! Review requires a minimum of 200 characters but I have nothing more to say :-)
Beautiful hotel, clean, comfortable and spacious. We really enjoyed the pool and thought it was pretty cool that you could see the alligators in the pond next to the hotel. Lots of places to eat close by too.
5 stars! Beautifully furnished, very clean, friendly and accommodating staff, good full breakfast. Convenient to I-95 and minutes from St. Augustine's historic area. Would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend to others.
Paying $90 I don't expect a whole lot but all this place did to become a “plus” is slap some paint on the walls and get some new furniture. The smell coming from bathroom fan reeked of sewage. The odor was so strong I couldn't bring myself to shower here. Hopefully there is no fire as there is still painters tape covering the sprinkler head. Fridge can't open fully due to the bed in the way and handle on closet is not secured. If you are looking for privacy in the bathroom you won't get it here. It's like the horrible public restrooms with large gaps between the doors. This sliding door sits a good inch from the wall. Only “plus” part of this hotel was that the staff at front desk were friendly and it's accessible right off the interstate.
Very clean hotel. The staff was wonderful. Gave great recommendations on what to do in the area. The hotel isn't far from down town Saint Augustine. We came in from Jacksonville and it was very easy to find. There is a Taco Bell and a Denny's right in front of the hotel!
We were on a road trip and stayed one night. Very clean and comfortable, great breakfast, clean modern eating area, well managed. Desk staff were very helpful and friendly. I would certainly stay there again without hesitation, it is everything we expect from a great best western hotel. Could not be bettered, if only all hotels we stopped at on the road were like this one.
I was very impressed with our stay at the Best Western Plus in St Augustine. Very clean, well decorated and very comfortable. The staff was more than friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay there again.
I came to Gainesville for a meeting and found it to be a lovely city with lots of restaurants and places to go. I'm sorry I only had a short time there. The hotel was absolutely gorgeous, matched its online photos exactly. Friendly staff and gorgeous pool, I'll definitely be back to stay a bit longer next time!
This hotel was very hospitable and extremely clean. The hot tub was where it was at! The gym could have a bit more equipment but who really exercises on their vacation!? The receptionist even price matched and allowed us to check in a couple of hours early. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and not like the blocks I'm used to sleeping on. This place went the extra mile at every turn. Even the breakfast attendant was friendly and very attentive. Definitely will come here again the next time we want a getaway to St. Augustine.
Rooms were clean and updated.. the bed and pillows very comfortable....the bathroom was immaculate....Excellent customer service provided by clerk at the checkin desk....Hotel was in a great location near freeway and located near food outlets...breakfast was good and attendants were helpful and on the job...Had a great night sleep and that's what counts...Will make this a regular stop.
My daughter and I were returning to SC from Disney very late in the evening and decided we needed to stop and rest for the night. We booked through Booking.com for one night. We did not take advantage of the amenities offered, except for the breakfast the next morning which was good. But the room was very comfortable and clean and the price was great. We would definitely stay there again
rooms seemed to be updated. Breakfast was good with eggs and sausage as well as cold items. Check in was efficient. We did have a problem with our toilet but got it working for our stay but told the desk that it needed fixing. Walkable to Ruby Tuesday.
Havent stayed in a best western in years. My stay here was awesome I didnt run into any staff member that didnt have a smile on their face and a warm greeting. The hotel is super clean and decorated lovely. A great stay!
My husband and I debated about whether to stay in a Best Western on our list recent trip, but we were very pleasantly surprised! This St Augustine Best Western featured a squeaky clean room, friendly staff, and a well-maintained breakfast area. Very good experience! We will definitely try Best Western next time we travel.
My wife and her friends have stayed in this facility for 3 years in a row on their way to Disney and they were delighted. THEY WERE VERY PLEASED WITH THE ROOM, STAFF AND ALL THE UPGRADES BY BEST WESTERN PLUS. THE breakfast was excellent and staff recommended an Italian restaurant nearby where the food was wonderful. They will be back to stay on their December trip.
On our trip to North Carolina we selected this hotel due to free Wi-Fi, free parking and complimentary breakfast so we were able to continue our route right after breakfast. The room was clean and complimentary toiletries were available.
We stopped here on our way back up North. Very nice property. We did not take in the local tours or attractions. But saw enough to plan a few days here next year. Nadine, who was working the breakfast area was very pleasant and nice to talk with. Our room was clean, large and had a BIG television, not expected for a hotel. Probably a 42”. The parking lot lighting is excellent. Something you would see at a car dealership. Making it safe your vehicle and contents.
The hotel is very clean, the staff is nice and they provide a full breakfast. Remodeling paid off and there is no bad smell. The color decor is beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. The water pressure was good for the shower. I would stay here again!
Very disturbed staying at this hotel for 3 nights! I had blood in several spots of my room, my room phone hasn't worked for my 3 night stay despite my letting front desk know of the issue. Our AC only worked half the time and our room was extremely hot which was not pleasant for my 10 month old baby to sleep in! We had a safety hazard in the room that my wife sliced her toe on the blend between tile and carpet. We were excited to stay here after reading such great reviews but given all of the above we are very saddened to have stayed here!
Very nice motel. Everything was updated and new! We will definitely stay again on our next trip to St Augustine ❗️Best Western motels are our favorite. Enjoyed our free breakfast. Lots of restaurants to choose from nearby. t
This was the first Best Western Plus I stayed at, and have to say, I was very impressed. Very Clean, Well appointed, large room. The staff were friendly, breakfast area was clean and well serviced. Right off the highway, and walking distance to several restaurants.
Had a nightmare of a night driving around trying to find a room after the Wyndam Travel Lodge in Jacksonville denied our paid, confirmed reservation. Had to drive another hour to find this place. LaToya at the desk was super nice and gave us a room. The free hot breakfast was great. The lady attending the breakfast station was super accommodating and responsive. She was also mopping the floor afterwards and you could tell she took pride in her work. The place was spotless. Def recommend this place.
This hotel is right next exit to the World Golf Hall of Fame and State street takes you straight into old town St. Augustine. The rooms are nice and clean and they have a great breakfast. We really enjoyed the 2 night stay!
Perfect location, right off of I-95 yet only 15 minutes from the center of town. More upscale than standard Best Western, excellent staff, accommodations, amenities Not a single complaint and would highly recommend this location. A+
The front desk clerk was very helpful. The room was nice, clean, and quiet. There was a very wide selection of breakfast foods. The buffet was kept neat and full. The food was very good. The dining area was well kept.
We usually stay at the Marriott or Holiday Inn Express, they both were booked out, last minute we chose Best Western Plus. We were pleasantly surprised at the renovation that had taken place, like a new hotel. We definitely will stay there again and the breakfast was amazing, fresh, great hot breakfast. Thank you Best Western Plus!
Stayed one night with three people. Room was big with two queens in it and decor was nice. Everyone was nice at front desk to breakfast person. Ruby Tuesday was close by and outlet shopping if you have time. Had a nice stay with no problems and would book again if I needed to.
This BW Plus hotel just off I-95 at St. Augustine was a welcome respite on a long road trip. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and tastefully appointed in greys with historic St. Augustine art mounted on the walls. The entire hotel seems to have been recently renovated. The business center off the lobby is much more extensive than most. And the complimentary breakfast includes good coffee as well as a fresh yogurt machine with all the trimmings including chocolate chips as well as granola in addition to the usual fare. This was value plus indeed.
Accommodations were very good, and clean. Found the hotel to be really nice after its renovation. I would recommend this as a good place to stay. We travel a lot and usually stay at the Marriotts, but will reconsider our plans in the future to included Best Western. Barry T
We were on our way to another destination, and it was late, so we stopped here. Best decision ever. The lobby was beautiful and comfortable, the room was immaculate. The lady at the desk was wonderful and friendly. She was concerned because we had chosen a "small king room", and offered us an upgrade. We told her it was a quick stay, and we'd be fine. As it turned out, the room was as large, and much nicer, than other places we stayed. There is a barn style (sliding) door to the bathroom, and the bathroom has a toilet and shower stall. The sink is in the room. For us, this works great, and makes for efficient speed in getting ready in the morning. I was able to brush my teeth and do my hair without my husband being in the shower and fogging up the mirror. I really enjoyed my stay here, and if we are ever in the area again, this is where we will stay. Highly recommended!
The room was clean and quiet. The location was fine. A short drive to down town. There were a couple of places to eat that were with in walking distance. The hip on hip of your is a must of you haven't been here before
The hotel is still under renovation and seems mismanaged. Renovating a hotel is a challenge. Unfortunately management is failing the challenge. Hotel has a new paint job/new look and a new name: Best Western Plus. The flooring looks nice and new. We booked the Wingate by Wyndham which is close to I-95 and the outlet. We weren't told about the name change so we were confused when we pulled up. We heard several couples and families complaining about the same thing. The exterior was painted different and had the new hotel name. It would have been simple for someone to notify us of the name change, but no one bothered. The first set of room keys they provided didn't work at all, so they assigned us a new room which turned out to have been occupied when we opened the door. We were assigned a third room and given new keys at which point we finally got into a room. Despite all the upgrades the bed was far from comfortable. I suspect they are the old beds. We stayed 3 nights and had key issues requiring us to go back down to the lobby a ridiculous number of times during our stay. The clerk told us not to put the keys by anything magnetic, which we hadn't done in the first place. Our door stuck when opening requiring excess force, which made it a challenge for my wife to open. The bed and bathroom were relatively clean except the bathroom door which had what I assume were coffee or dark soda stains down the inside of the door. I didn't measure but I'd say they were over 4' long. Not sure how visible they are in the attached images, but they are highly visible to anyone who looks at the back of the door. The stains weren't cleaned the entire time we were there. Makes you wonder what else was never cleaned. The hotel provided small sized amenities, however the forgot one or two items on subsequent days after check-in. Faint new paint smells linger throughout parts of the building. Someone was working in the lobby one night as we returned. An older gentleman who I assume was a manager or owner rudely yelled at me to walk a different route. Warning customers of potential hazards is always a good move, but there is no need to be offensive/rude. Most hotels provide a breakfast. This hotel does also, but I've had better breakfast while serving in the Marine Corps and deployed in “the field”. The eggs were dry. Based on the flavor and consistency I assume they were powdered. There was no fruit and no potatoes served with breakfast. No hard boiled egg options. The apple juice tasted watered down. The orange juice was bland. OJ doesn't need to be “fresh squeezed” but should at least taste like OJ. Some of the tables were so wobbly my drink spilled if I bumped the table. How hard is it to level a table? I personally wouldn't go back because there are too many better options at lower prices in the area. I don't recommend staying here to anyone either.
This Hotel was perfect for our needs as we did not want to stay in the centre of St. Augustine. The receptionist was so helpful and recommended various tours and eateries. The room was perfect with a view of the river. Breakfast was a little dull. Not much on the cooked side but there was plenty of cereal and fruit, so I did not go hungry. There was a lot of renovation going on but the workmen did not start until 8o'clock. We were up and out before they started drilling and hammering. We would certainly be back to this hotel next year.
The hotel looks new and is currently being updated. We were in an updated room. The newly painted room and bathroom must have been painted by a 10 year old. The bath tube faucet leaked and I wouldn't hire the general contractor to paint my treehouse.
Hotel is being renovated. We were initially assigned a room that was not renovated. Furnishing was heavily stained and torn. We had to request to moved to a renovated room that was clean and in good repair. This room was very clean. The bed slept wonderful! Would have given higher rating if we did not have to request to be moved. I'm sure Manager knew the initial room had not been renovated.
the hotel is located fairly close to Downtown St Augustine. Very clean and great rooms. The staff is always accommodating and the breakfast was good. The area is right for travelers and state road 16 is right there.
