Kristine Sales mgr, is great and helpful, front desk staff also very helpful, ladies running the continenal breakfast had everything stocked and and the area was nice and clean, room was clean and efficent, they have a putting green at the facility, its a lot of fun, nice pool and hot tub
A real disappointment. I was there in July and had a very good experience. This time not so much. Room reservations made at least a month in advance and when I tried to check my reservation the day before and make sure they had it correct I got zero response. When I arrived they didn't have the room I had reserved. We made it work but it was very inconvenient. I was given a note for a free glass of wine. The window wouldn't close all the way so I was woken up at 5:00 am with freeway noise.the room was only cleaned once so we had no coffee in our room two out of three mornings. The breakfast was very good as usual and the lady attending to it was fabulous. Apparently this hotel allows large groups of people take over any public space for private get togetherness. In July they had some sort of family reunion and they allowed the pool and hot tub to be taken over so no other guest could enjoy it. When they finely left the pool was so filthy they never did get it to clear up in a week. This time Soccer teams took the entire hotel over. The unruly behavior with adults encouraging the kids to “Have “ fun was awful. The breakfast area was a mob scene… but the woman in charge handled it beautifully. We just found a table and waited the mob of loud unruly people to leave. It's apparent why children think they are untitled the way these parents let them behave. Then they were allowed to run around screaming and yelling up and down the hallways banging on people's doors at 9:00 pm…. And this hotel let them do it with no consideration to other guests. Never again. For over $180.00 a night I expect a much better experience and I didn't get it this time and there won't be another time. I will be looking for a new place who won't allow this kind of behavior. Such a disappointment
Cleanliness and overall comfort was great. My reservation requests were honored. Breakfast had numerous options of good quality. Pool and whirlpool were clean. Front desk personnel were friendly and attentive. Even though this is an older facility, I appreciate their efforts to stay updated. Convenient location for my intended purposes.
The semi private bedroom set up was great for sharing with my friend, no real light overlap. It was also quiet, I didn't hear any other guest. The location was near my conference at the Maidu Community Center and there was easy access to the various freeways.
Did not feel safe at this hotel, very dirty coming in from the parking lot on the side very out dated, but room was fairly nice but bed was very soft. And pool loungers had hole in them. They had free breakfast, I couldn't bring myself to eat there. Hotel was very overpriced
I can't come up with anything that was bad about this property. It had everything we needed. Any issues we had were taken care of immediately…our coffee maker didn't work and a replacement was brought immediately. I can't say enough good about their breakfast each morning. We were there five days and each morning was very good. A nice variety…scrambled eggs, cheese omelets, waffles, bacon, sausage and ham, oatmeal, fruit, potatoes. Very good. We were on the third floor overlooking the pool and even when it was busy we never heard to much noise. We will definitely make this our place to stay ever time we come to the Roseville area
This is our go-to hotel when our kids have volleyball tournaments in the area. Fits our budget and offers a decent hot breakfast. We don't spend a lot of time in the room so it works for us. Lots of food options nearby, close to highways, grocery stores, etc. They used to have a complimentary happy hour but last time we were there it was not offered. Rooms are a decent size but we've found that mattress quality varies room to room. Carpet and flooring are worn, walls are thin, and cable has few options. Internet is acceptable. There's a small pool and hot tub but we've never used it. We've had decent stays and again we're basically there to sleep and shower.
The room and amenities were pretty nice. It was great that I was able to bring my small Dog with no issues. The gentleman at the front desk, who checked us in, seemed bored and not super welcoming. Not exactly rude. Just seemed like he didn't really want to be there. Other than that, we had a nice time.
Customer service is horrible lady was rude and hung up on me.wouldn't recommend on staying there. I ended up canceling my reservation. And got another room somewhere else. Called corporate to complain. Not sure if anything will be done about it. Hope she don't do this to other people.
We stayed here because of location and good reviews. It did not disappoint. The property is well maintained, has clean rooms and comfortable beds. The breakfast was very good, with a great selection. The only negative was the room coffee. It was pretty bad.
This hotel goes above and beyond to help you and make your stay perfect. I strongly recommend this hotel.
Kristine Correa the hotel event planner did an excellent job in assisting our large family reunion. She set aside a block of rooms, approximately 30. She gave us complimentary use of the conference room and worked with the caterer ensuring a smooth evening event. She accommodated us with great hospitality over a 4 day event. Staff was amazing, breakfast was terrific, and the bar provide another meeting area to father and have fun. You can count on Kristine to provide for your needs. C Schmit.
I attended a family reunion at the Best Western Orchid Hotel - we had a great time, rooms were clean, lounge area and pool were perfect for family gatherings.
Room was clean beds were comfy breakfast was hot coffee delicious plenty of juice choices. Staff super friendly
This place is old school. Think Karate Kid when Daniel moves into the Motel in LA. But, there was a tournament and the kids and adults had a great stay. Worth the cheap rooms. Breakfast was free and outstanding. Great service, friendly staff. If you have a large party or event, it's worth it.
BW Orchid Inn in Roseville is infested with cockroaches in all their buildings and multi-floor rooms. Unless you like to stay amongst nasty cockroaches, I am NOT recommending this hotel any longer.
Our reservation was not honored. Front desk lady rude and then we were overcharged. Did not give discount
Greeting upon arrival was rude and cold and argumentive. Room outlets were weird and could not plug things in easily. Coffee maker had grounds left inside (kcup coffee maker)
My wife & I arrived at this hotel property w/o a reservation. Benedict, front desk member on-duty, quickly & efficiently checked us in. This property also provides a military discount. The next morning I was sitting in the lobby enjoying my coffee. I watched Kristen, front desk member on-duty, interact with a wheel chair bound lady. Though not trying to eves drop I couldn't help but notice the interaction was a friendly yet professional one. The lady had apparently stayed at this hotel quite often. Robin, who works in the kitchen/breakfast area, brought a plate of food out to the lady. Since the wheel chair bound lady couldn't hold the plate, Robin carried it to her room. This is our second stay at this property in seven months. Though it is a budget hotel, it is long on customer service and kindness which matches those a customer would pay far more for. Yes, the Queen bed was quite comfortable too.
Staff (everyone) are very friendly. The facility is very well kept both inside and out. the breakfast staff does an amazing job each and every day! We always stay here when we travel to the Sacramento area.
When finding cockroaches in your room, there is nothing that anybody can do to make it ok. We received a discount and were moved rooms but we still had that creepy crawly feeling and the stress of possibly finding more bugs. Sleep was less than restful.
Great guest service. The area is in a quiet location and overall clean. Great breakfast for a best western many options and organized area for guests. Team members are all polite and helpful throughout the property.
Great front desk service, felt very safe, good breakfast but the showers waffled between cold and scalding multiple times in a short 3 min shower. Feel like this is a basic thing and I would not stay.
The hotel was easy to get to, just off the freeway. Fortunately, we did not hear much road noise. Our king room had a nice sitting room but the whole hotel is dated and in need of maintenance. The outside balcony walkway has leaks and in fact another guest said they experienced a leak in their queen suite. The breakfast area was large but was short of food on a couple of days of our stay.
Horrible experience. Room not clean, breakfast awful, staff not accomodating. The staff didn't care that the bathtub didn't drain, the light bulbs were burned out and there was no soap in the shower. Paper thin walls. Don't bother staying here.
The beds were old and hard. The pillows were small and roundish, no water in the room, I asked for a late checkout. The lady gave me 30 minutes. Breakfast was crowded and they kept running out of food when the staff was told they were rude about it.
I decided to try Best Western Plus Orchid in Roseville for the first time to really see if the Plus is better than the regular BW in Roseville. Honestly, it was more a BW Minus to us. The room itself was fine, with 2 beds and a sofa. But the latch lock was broken as if someone broke into the room before. Also, we ran out of hot water at 9PM and it became colder and colder as we waited for it to heat back up, so my daughter had to take a cold shower around 11PM. The breakfast opens at 6AM on weekdays and 6:30AM on weekends. Because we were participating at a sports tournament, we needed to be at the venue nearby at 6:45AM. Since we could not attend breakfast at 6:30, I tried asking for just hot water for my water bottle at 6:20AM. The lady in the breakfast just yelled at me 3 times to "read the sign" without hearing that we could not be there at 6:30AM. All in all a disappointing stay. The manager wrote to me to say they will work to make it better next time. That's it.
We are up to the last night of our week long stay here and so far, so good. The spacious suite was an excellent price complete with a sitting area, desk for work and kitchenette. The beds are sooo comfy and I've no doubt I won't be able to think about anything else on my 10 hour flight back to England tomorrow! Oh boy, I'm gonna miss that bed. Service excellent, always with a smile, nothing is too much trouble for them. However I have dropped a star because I got frustrated with the breakfast lady who kept telling me, and other guests, what to do as though I was a 7 year old child incapable of serving her own breakfast. That said, breakfast isn't very good. Overall we would definitely stay again.
Staff was friendly. The breakfast area was always clean and the attendant there was very attentive, ensuring that food and coffee was always restocked. Room was good, clean, and in working order. Hotel has an interesting okay out.
Overall, an enjoyable experience. Some of the hotel staff have been very rude and not helpful or knowledgeable. Not all, because there have been some wonderful and friendly staff also. The lock in our room the first night(RM. 306) was completely broken and 2 unsavory characters tried to get in it, and took off when we opened the door.
I stayed a couple of nights with a dog and found this hotel comfortable for us. We were given a ground floor room so had easy access for pottying including trip outside in the middle of the nights. There was room for dog's crate. The hotel provided a good breakfast and there were very good Thai and Indian restaurants across the street for take out dinners, which we ate comfortably off a low table in front of a couch. The room itself was spacious and pleasant and the bed was comfortable. I had traveled for a dog event.
Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, bed was comfy, and the breakfast was awesome. If you want a delicious continental breakfast to start your day, this is the place to stay. The waffle station was so intuitive and made the best waffles.
I've been staying here for more than 10 years. A little disappointed that the 2 glasses of wine were discontinued, but I understand. The breakfast is always good, and the Front Desk staff are terrific, like old friends
Superb. Easy check in, the young man was friendly and helpful, the complimentary cookie was delicious. The breakfast was fantastic, lots of choice, and fresh. The 2 lady servers (14th Sept) were lovely. Rooms clean & well equipped.
Uncharacteristic of BW, but I had a terrible experience booking a reservation through a representative. I called because I specifically needed for the room I was reserving for my young adult child to be charged to my card. I had to repeat information several times. In the end, they charged my son for the room and then he was too broke to complete the task he went to Roseville for! Complete SNAFU.
Traveling solo. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was great for a free breakfast. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a Dutch Bro down the street. Wry close off the freeway exit. Extremely quiet.
We stayed at 2 other Best Western hotels during our recently visit to California. Unfortunately, this one was the worst of the 3 and was the most expensive! It was a total disappointment. This hotel was very "tired" and needs a major facelift. The online photos are NOT a good representation and I felt mislead. The pool was out of service. The beds were really worn and terribly uncomfortable, not to mention the ancient bedding, scratchy sheets, and paper thin walls which allowed us to overhear the entire conversation of our neighbors at 3-4AM and every bit of plumbing activity from both neighboring rooms. It might sound like I am good at complaining but I want someone to know how terrible these beds are. How could the staff know if they don't sleep in them? We spent the night sunk together in the middle of the bed, which might seem like a good thing, but it was not for us. It was HOT in Sacramento but, thankfully, I thought the A/C in the room did a good job of keeping us cool. We are lucky to be able to choose where we want to book hotels but in the future we will not book BW Orchid when we come to Sacramento. We paid the same price a week before at the local Holiday Inn Express and we had a very pleasant stay.
Stay in the hotel almost weekly great location easy parking Recommend to stay here close to shopping,,freeways , auto mall and water park Family friendly, rooms. Ice sized, Walk to a shopping, restaurant and enrichment
All of the staff that we interacted with were kind and professional. BUT, when we arrived at the room we were assigned, the door was open a bit and we found two maintenance men working on the AC/heat unit in the room. Our conversation revealed that the unit would have to be replaced so we would need to return to the lobby for a new room assignment which turned out to be the room next door. The front desk attendant commented that she was surprised she hadn't been informed that a repair was being made by the maintenance staff so that she could have made a proper room assignment the first time. The second room's AC unit worked very well, but the swing bar latch on the door had obviously been forced open previously and the screws holding the plate on the door were stripped. We discovered this damage after returning from our evening out and we chose to stay in the room after double-checking that the main locking mechanism was in good working order. Lastly, the overall feel of the hotel was that it was outdated and on the verge of slipping into a lower star rating. There were quite a few other conference attendees staying at the hotel along with several swim teams, but other guests caused us to wonder if questionable activities were also going on in the hotel. We could be totally off on this last impression, but the facts about the AC unit and door lock still apply.
The family and I like staying at this location. It is right down the way from Sunsplash waterpark and many other family fun things to do. The hotel is nice, great service, and very helpful staff. There breakfast is always fresh.
This is one of the best Best Western hotels we have been to. The breakfast was better than the average BW breakfast and the staff were friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub were clean. There was some traffic noise because it is located on a Main Street.
It was a good sized hot breakfast and it was slightly changed daily to provide some variety. Really liked the shredded cheese, salsa, and jalapeño toppings the had available for the eggs as well as the fruit toppings they had for the waffles. The wait staff were VERY friendly. Semi private room was nice with the kids. Gave them their own TV and the beds were separated by the bathroom which provided the semi privacy.
Large rooms, super friendly staff and great pool and deck area. The breakfast is also legit - hot eggs, waffles on top of continental items. It is a bit of a dated hotel, but the beds are comfortable.
It was great! Quiet and clean, but the best part was that the front desk,Nickolas and Carol helped us with a booking site problem. Normally, we book directly but this time we didn't. Great visit. Thanks guys!
Great location and great breakfast selection. Easy checkin and check out Happy hour on property and guests get free drinks! Beds are comfy and rooms have fridge and microwave.very convenient. Definitely recommend.
Room smelt weird and floors felt dirty. Staff was nice and gave us a late check out upon request. Couldn't figure out how to use the whirlpool tub at first. Bed was nice and blackout curtains were amazing!
Absolutely terrible experiences both times I tried to stay at this location. very rude customer service both times. Second time the servant at the counter told me told me I booked through Booking.com and it was a twin bedroom. I booked through BW a in room whirlpool, showed him the BW confirmation and he said to me "I deal with you people all the time" If I managed that place, I would fire him immediately!
My room was very well appointed, had everything I needed. I choose to stay there because I was in town for the Notary class which is held at the hotel. The reps at the front desk were very nice, my only issue is that I had a late check out (12:00) and my keys failed to work. There was a nice Housekeeper who let me in my room to gather my belongings and check out.
My husband and I were pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel turned out to be. The room was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for our stay. The refrigerator was bigger than the normal size in hotels. There was a small sitting room in our room with a fold out couch, an extra TV and pocket doors if we had some one extra with us. The bed was firm, but comfortable. There were more amenities that the hotel offered, such a nice pool, exercise room and drinks offered at 5:00 to 7:00. Also, there are security cameras in the parking lot with a security guard at night. It was a great place to stay and I highly recommend it.
The room assigned had someone already in it so I had to go back to the desk to get another room. The room I got was infested with roaches. This was the worst Best Western I've ever stayed at. It certainly is not a PLUS.
sales mgr is Christine is very easy to work with, Lindsay the gm, has helped us for several years, hotel is clean has plenty of amentities, quiet, plenty of parking, good location, putting green is fun
This BW is conveniently located just off a major exit with I-80 making the location excellent for access to all parts of Sacramento. Close to shopping, restaurants and businesses. Very quiet even with closeness to I-80. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Accommodations are excellent. Breakfast is great. Internet is fast and reliable.
The hotel was big, has lot of amenities, swimming pool, jacuzzi, patio with a bar-b-q, bar with food, dart board. Desk clerk was very helpful and went above to help. My daughter's room was really nice, had a seperate living room.
I actually visit hotels/resorts as part of my job so I am able to review resorts based on their price points. I had to stay at this resort for kids sport event. I did not choose the hotel but we were only looking for a clean, safe room to spend the night, nothing fancy. At check in they could not find my room. It took some time to locate a room. The same issue happened with another mom in the group. My room was supposed to be in the newer remodeled section. It wasn't. At least I hope not because my room was not remodeled. When I walked in, the room was hot like a sauna. This was really disappointing as the outside temperature was close to 100 degrees. I thought the AC did not work but someone (housekeeping) had turned the mode on HEAT, not COOL. Additionally, the beds have an off-white duvet and there was in the middle of the bed some black blobs that looked like some sort of rodent dropping. I was disgusted but we were in a rush to dinner so I took a towel and cleaned it off. It left a black streak but I just told myself I would sleep in the bed fully clothed. When I returned from dinner 2 hours later, there were more of the black things on the bed. At this point I had no idea where it was coming from. I checked to make sure it was dropping from ceiling, looked under the bed, etc. This was really distressing and I had trouble falling asleep. I finally made myself go to bed as I had a really busy day planned. While sleeping, I was woken up with things falling on my head and face. When I turned on the lights, it was more of the black stuff. I looked all around and finally found the source. It was the AC unit. It was filled with some mold/mildew that was flying through the AIR!! I was horrified and turned off the AC so it would stop shooting the mildew/mold through the air but the room was still hot from someone turning the heat on earlier. I decided to just try to sleep with the window open since it finally cooled down outside to the 70's which was cooler than my heated room. That did not last long as the hotel is next to the freeway and it was loud. The freeway noise was not like an ambient freeway noise that sounds like the ocean, but blaring big rig trucks honking. In addition there was some shady stuff happening in the parking lot below and you could hear people hanging out and talking in the parking lot at 3 am. So now it is 4am and I have not slept and do not want to stay in the room as I am disgusted that there has been chunks of mold/mildew shooting through the air. I take a shower and pack my luggage and just go down to my car while it is still dark. When I went to my car, the security door to the parking lot had been propped open so it did not close or was secure. This is a big safety issue. I spoke to the front desk at check out and showed them my picture. I was told that I should definitely get some sort of refund for my room as I could not stay in it but the GM Lindsey Roach had to approve the refund. I called Lindsey 3 times and left a voicemail but she has not bothered to return my call even though reception said she was in.
We stayed here 4 nights. Carol at the front desk greeted us with a big friendly smile. Checking in was a breeze. We stayed in room 327 with one king bed. Everything was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The breakfast was very good too. We would gladly stay here again.
DO not stay here. The front office staff is horrible. All the other staff does not speak English. They were not helpful and rude. Many of the rooms are located int the sun and are very hot even with the air conditioning. The door handles are so hot you cant touch them.
The cleanest hotel, Wonderful staff all around cheapest deposit around best breakfeat, lounge and patio to enjoy family time will be back to enjoy the lounge pool spa breakfast. With my cancer its the nicest cleanest place around
I don't ever write reviews and typically don't take other reviews too seriously but this hotel was the first I've been genuinely upset with. Waited on hour in the hotel lobby with probably 10-15 others waiting for rooms to be ready. The front desk staff told us it would be 5-10 minutes. Eventually one of them walked around to check out hotel rooms being cleaned and came back with a list of rooms that were cleaned. We finally got in the room and found piles of trash, urine in the toilet, hot Cheetos all over the counter. I took pictures to make sure I can get refunded. When we called to cancel after walking out the front desk staff said “oh don't worry, we can turn around and sell that room in 5 minutes.” Upsetting experience and I've traveled all over the world. This was by far the rest. Wrote this review solely to help others avoid this type of experience.
Got undressed to take a shower after a long day...and no water. One only wonders how the tub/shower was cleaned earlier with no water. Called front desk, said would send someone and never did. The room furniture was old and tired. Old TV; when turned on had to wait for the picture to finally come on. Went to use extra pillow from 2nd queen bed and dust flew up causing sneezing and red eyes. Next morning asked whether there was another more recently renovated room or we were cancelling our 5-day registration. Was given a key to another room on the 2nd floor of a building addition. Was told there was an elevator. Went to check out the room...and the elevator was out of order. Stood there for several minutes and walked the stairs to see the room. Same room, same furniture, but at least there was water in the tub. Checked out and had to find another hotel. I've been a loyal B&W customer, but this was the worst.
Tommy was awesome best front desk guy I ever talk to took care of all my needs for my stay very professional I will definitely come back again hey check me in check me out quickly I needed some extra things for my room and he got them for me
This hotel is old and dingy. The hotel guests are loud and just want to party. The hotel front t desk didn't seem to think the noise from the pool party was an issue but I could not even hear my TV set and I was on 3rd floor. There are two Best Westerns in Roseville and they are both dumps.
There was a cockroach under the sheets upon checkin. I guess the cockroach was finished his breakfast and was taking a nap. Lots of homeless people hanging around doors. Don't leave any valuables in the room or in your car.
We had an excellent stay at the Best Western Orchid! Check in was easy. The room was extremely clean with very comfy beds. Breakfast had many great selections. My favorite was the steel cut oatmeal with fresh blueberries/granola/dried cranberries. The staff kept the breakfast area very clean and well stocked. They greeted guests and were helpful. We were very happy with how clean our room was. They even left us mints! Overall, the whole staff was wonderful and helpful. They are the reason this hotel is so excellent!
I stayed overnight on my way to Southern California. The room and hotel was very clean and quiet. I must especially thank the cleaning staff who told me to get in touch with them if anything was not good in my room. The breakfast was GREAT and the woman in the breakfast room was very welcoming and helpful. My only complaint at all was the shower didn't work very well. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
We stayed at the Best Western Plus Orchid Suites for a long weekend family reunion. We had family come in from all over the country and everyone felt well taken care of and enjoyed their rooms. They have some interesting room configurations that suited us very well. My family used a two queen semi private room. That is a room with the bathroom separating the two beds, semi private because there is still an open hallway. It worked great to put the kids on one bed and the parents on the other with reasonable privacy.
Since traveling with my family I love the rooms the most, some rooms have living areas and other rooms that don't have living areas have the beds on separate sides of the bathroom so you feel like you have some privacy from the others in your room. The happy hour free beer, wine or soda and nachos are wonderful after an afternoon of swimming in the pool. I will always stay here when I travel to Roseville/sacramento area. Beds are comfortable, rooms are clean and had a great breakfast in the morning. Paul a security guard at the hotel was a great help to us when we were walking around and showed us where everything was we were looking for. Very impressed!
We travel quite a bit and try to stay loyal to BW. I called early in day for early check in and front desk said no problem. My husband is diabetic and we had traveled a long distance. Arrived 1pm 5.15.22 the crazy woman tried to strong arm by saying she gonna charge me $25 for 3 pm checkin (using this attitude) she ain't got no time to deal with no body she said I'm on the phone! Wow and sketchy dudes blasting rap music and smoking weed was rude right at the entrance. No thank you! Beware... Stay at Holiday Inn 3 blks away. Clean quiet and treat quests with respect.
Overall it's an ok hotel. What you pay is what you get. The sofa was really dirty and couldn't sleep on it. The sofa has some food crumbs inside and a chip wrap. The breakfast is very good. This hotel has hot breakfast with some good options. The front desk check-in are friendly.
My other half and I stayed here to get away for a few nights. It was cool. Got the top floor room in the corner so got to watch all the humans. Nice spot Decent service. I'll undoubtedly stay here again.
I liked That you need a key card to enter the area where all the rooms are. The courtyards were also very nice to sit and visit at. The rooms with 2 queen beds split with the bathroom in the middle are very convenient when traveling with family. It's almost like having 2 rooms for the price of one!
This is not your typical chain hotel. It was clean, affordable and quite with a nice pool and spa. It had an extensive free breakfast. It even included a lounge with free nachos and complimentary drinks. We were so pleased to find this unexpected getaway in an out of the way place.
The breakfast was the one perk that would cause me to return to this hotel. So many time hotels will advertise breakfast as a incentive to stay with them, only to find out that the food was not well prepared and you in up going to breakfast elsewhere, I can truly say that is not the case at this hotel, the food was amazing !!!
The hotel is conveniently located and is pet friendly. Overall, it seemed like a nice enough place, nothing fancy but reasonably priced with some amenities. Breakfast was good. Our room was on the first floor which was nice to be able to walk our dog conveniently. They could provide a better dog walking area on the property. The poor review is because we had 2 dead cockroaches in the room, one upon arrival and one the next day, If you see them, there are a lot more around that you don't see. The room cleanliness seemed fine, but they obviously have a problem. Also, we couldn't find an operating ice machine, which was annoying. Although, if cockroaches are a problem, ice machine cleanliness probably is also. They need to correct this issue. The grounds also seemed a little grungy with trash lying around in some areas. The patio next to the lounge, however, was nice. Overall, we probably won't use this property again.
We are a family of 6, including two adults, two teenagers and two younger children. After we checked in, we went to play mini golf but one of my teens wanted to stay behind. We left her a room key card in case she needed to leave the room. She left and went for a walk, and her key card did not work when she tried to get back into the room. She went down to the front desk and asked for a new key card. The woman at the front desk told her that she needs to call me and tell me to call the front desk to give permission to issue a new key card. My daughter said she was very rude and short with her, and seemed annoyed to have to help my daughter get a new key card. My daughter called me and told me that the front desk said she has to call me and ask me to call the front desk. My first thought was, why didn't the front desk just look up the reservation and call the phone number on file? Why would they tell her to call me, just to tell me to call them? This made no sense to me. But of course, my daughter needs to get in, so after several minutes of Googling, I finally found a local phone number to the front desk. When you search for a phone number, it is easy to find a toll free number for a reservation call center, but not so easy to find a local phone number. I finally reached the front desk and asked why they didn't just call me? Having my daughter call me to tell me to call them seems so pointless, on top of that, theoretically, my daughter could have called anyone and told them to call the front desk and act like me. Wouldn't it make more sense to call the phone number you have on file to ensure you are talking to the person who is actually renting the room? When I tried to ask Carol, she hung up on me. I immediately left the mini golf place and drove to the hotel to speak to Carol in person. I once again asked her why she didn't just look up my reservation and call me, not only to make sure she is talking to the right person, but also to avoid making my daughter the middle man in all of this. Her reply: "I was busy." I WAS LIVID. Not only is this her job, but anyone could have called and gained access to my room. I again asked her how her procedure made any sense at all, and she said that she never calls people when someone is locked out of the room, and that they always call her, and that she was busy and doesn't have time to look up reservations and call people. I then told her that it is also not very easy to find a local #, and she said that I could have
Stayed two nights with our pet - hotel was pleasant, clean & generally in good repair (some of the electrical outlets in our room didn't work) & breakfast was tasty with nice options offered. We were able to get a ground floor, direct outdoor access room, which is much more convenient with a pet. The pet fee is charged PER NIGHT, which seems odd... once a pet has been in the room for a night, is it any more work if that pet is in the room more nights?
you guys DNR me for no damn reason. You guys say 'I thrashed my room', from a couple days before i checked out and that's not even what happened. we moved a couple things around in the room but we NEVER thrashed our room. and how are you gonna DNR me when I wasn't even in that room for the last two days I was there, and mind you y'all were sold out over the weekend so how do you know if it was us that apparently "thrashed the room"??? what if it was whoever was in there after us??? because i can promise you we NEVER thrashed that room. All week and a half we were exactly on time with our payment everyday, not late at all. so, what is it? is it because you discriminate and you pick and choose who you like? yea forget that crap i'm taking this up with corporate and reporting you guys to the Better Business Bureau. i'm not gonna let this one slide whatsoever. I NEVER DID ANYTHING WRONG. I SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN PUT ON THE DNR LIST. i will not stop until i'm either told i'm allowed to come back or y'all need to get in trouble for treating not only me but several other people this way. it's not okay whatsoever! especially when i'm a diamond select rewards member, literally the top tier, and look how i get treated! STRAIGHT TRASH! i'm so upset this is so not okay! literally put me on the DNR list for absolutely no reason whatsoever!
We stayed for two nights in two separate rooms. The toilet leaked bad enough in the first room that we did our best to minimize flushing. The second night in a second room, the TV was broken, the shower drain was clogged and the heater would not work. There were also no extra blankets in our room. Awful experience. Only giving two stars because the breakfast was fair and I know everyone is short staffed right now. However, I definitely will be avoiding this hotel in the future.
the staff is wonderful and the hotel is great. will always stay here because of the people. They should train other Best Western staff. Centrally located for good and easy of freeway . Really enjoy staying here
Why they keep a rude person employed with so many complaints is beyond me. Room was OK but old and needed upgraded. Items were left in the room from the previous guest even after it had been serviced. The only bright spot was the staff in the breakfast area, they worked really hard and were very professional.
Buyer be aware! Staff does not deal well with any problems/issues Multiple security officers on site not just there to handle external sources also there to for staff members to handle issues with paying customers!
The location was good with nearby restaurants. I was able to check in fast and the receptionist was very helpful. With my Best western membership, I was able to get an upgrade to a larger room. The room itself was clean, with a partition that separated the TV room and the sleeping area. The breakfast selection was good- bread, waffles, eggs, fruits, oatmeal etc I would recommend this place if you are looking for a good hotel in Roseville.
My room was large, clean and very quiet even though the hotel was right next to the freeway. The breakfast was good with quite a variety to choose from. The front desk was very helpful when I needed to book an extra night.
Room had cockroaches and the tree we parked under dripped sap all over our car. Were given another room for the roaches, but nothing on the tree dripping sap. When you arrive at night how are you suppose to figure to the tree is going to cover your car with sap. Manager said its not their problem. Who owns the tree?
The Orchid Hotel is an older but very well maintained hotel for a short stay in the greater Sacramento area. The pool was lovely on a hot day. The breakfast was full, hot and complete served in a clean well maintained room. Lots of parking close to all the rooms around the building
Booked this on line and the picture was 'pretty'. Reality was a disappointment as this BW Plus is more like a motel than a hotel. We found ONE elevator after searching (found in a dark corner) and it ended up not being near our room. We were booked in a corner room, above the pool, right next to an outdoor stairwell, which hotel guests and their dogs seemed to use often all day and night. Room was clean but old. Couch/loveseat and mattress seemed well used and ready to be replaced. Large flat screen TV was nice. Unlike some other reviews I've read (after staying), we didn't have any 'bug' issues, thankfully. With the open area above the pool, people/other guests seem to 'forget' that the room are not soundproof and their 'greeting' each other, even after 11pm, can be heard by ALL staying in the area. Dogs barking also echo's in that area. We didn't stay down one of the 'walkways' so I'm not sure if the noise can be heard there as well. I've stayed in other BW Plus hotels and expected the same, but was disappointed. Perhaps I've been lucky in other locations? The entire building seems outdates and looks like it was taken over from another chain but not updated to what I've come to know of the BW Plus hotels, sadly. We'll look for another place to stay next time we're up visiting family in the area.
Decent rooms, excellent customer service, FANTASTIC breakfast, & newly added security Co on site makes this property my go-to when I'm in the area. It is less than 15 minutes from Thunder Valley Casino, super close to the SunSplash Waterpark & Mini golf. Also tons of shopping very close!
the people will go out of their way to help you and are very friendly. The breakfast is good and the internet is easy to use. The only problem I had was trying to get the TV on CC but everything else worked fine.
Immediately had issues with my room plumbing. Instead of giving me another room, I had to wait 20 min to have the plumber service my room to get the toilet to flush. Later, I realized the shower also had issues and barely drained, but I was unable to address these due to time (business stay, one night).
Great style of hotel. The pool being centrally located in the middle for all the kids to easily gather. Breakfast was also outstanding given the Covid restrictions. The room had a very unique, but great design, having the queen beds separated by bathroom made for a little separation from the children. It is centrally located, so there are many softball fields that are very close by.
It could have been a wonderful stay a lot of disappointing thing as far as the room and the smell the shower doors fell off I want my toe hurt like hell I just would not recommend it I said lots of hotels and I won't be back to it
i was here last week for 6 or 7 nites. plenty of ice every day. shower worked great. a/c worked. bed was fine. i was in a king suite and on my last day there the 2nd tv didnt turn on so i went to call the front desk and tell them. the phone didnt work either. i called on my cell and told the guy and he asked if i wanted it fixed and i said sure. he said he would tell maint. when i checked out they had not been there to fix it yet so i was somewhat disappointed in that.the blond woman who checked me in was great and i enjoied all the staff. i liked this hotel
We were put into a room that been smoked in and damaged by the previous occupants, we were latter told the room was supposed to be out of service for repairs and should not have been available. Horrible
I have stayed here at least 5 times. Every time the property is clean, friendly staff and the room is very clean as well. You will not find dust in the corners or marks on the headboard, which I have at other places. I am always pleased to stay there.
I accidentally left my 3 grandsons swimming suits and shirts and my wife's swimming suit hanging in the closet to dry. We forgot them and called within 2 hours of checking out. The next two days were a customer service train wreck. After four phone calls and 3 visits from my father, who lives within 3o minutes of the hotel, we still don't have our items and were treated rudely in the process. We stay in the Roseville/Rocklin area often. This hotel is permanently off our list.
I usually never have a problem with Best Westerns and will usually tell people to go visit ones I have stayed at all over the west coast. This one, however was the 2nd worst one I have been to. I say been to because we never stayed. Why,? Well the room we got (which looks like it was going to be great, and exactly like the website), STANK. There was a horrid smell of someone who had been smoking and it being covered up with a cleaning product. It was like cigarettes and bleach. We asked for another room. We got a new room and while it smelled better, the lights would have induced epilepsy and little things like the fridge being iced and there being one remote for 2 tvs just made us give up. We wound up checking out (no refund offered despite being in 2 rooms in less than 1 hour time) and just going and getting a different hotel. It has a pool. The pool is tiny and was overcrowded and definitely not blue... we noticed it when we were debating just staying but again the little things added up to a lot. Will not recommend or visit this property, though I still don't have a problem with others in the chain.
Nice room. WiFi did not work for laptop or iPhone so that wasn't good. Front desk helpful and courteous. Breakfast good with choices. Biscuit and gravy very good. Pricey but good. Interesting layout as I got lost in the corridors thank goodness for maps. LOL
Stayed at this location for a weekend get away and long awaited time with friends not seen for a while. The pool was nice with trees surrounding it. Perfect for the end of a long hot day! The location of the hotel is great. Close to many restaurants, shopping, etc. Only issue we had was we couldn't get the internet to connect in our room but we were only there for 2 days so not too big of a deal. Breakfast buffet was good and lots of seating room. The rooms are a bit dated but not bad. Will for sure stay there again:)
We were going through a stressful time, and needed a place to stay. Making reservations was easy online. Checking in was fast, and the staff very friendly. Love the security on site. Rooms were fresh and clean. Room layout was really nice!
Wow. I couldn't believe this was a BW but then the wonderful front desk lady, Carol (thank you Carol) explained to us that it was a BW PLUS. I had no idea that there was a difference. We stay in a lot of Holliday Inns and this BS PLUS put most of them to shame. Every and I mean EVERY staff member greeted us with a smile and a greeting. We don't get that at most Holliday Inns.
Orchid is a 20,000 points a night stay is a higher grade of quality and amenities then the 12,000 and 16,000 hotels, i only stay now at the 20,000 point hotels because you get what you pay for, they are a little more money a night but what a pleasure to have good service and amenities and quality and cleanliness, i am a Platinum member
Great place. Super location (I80 is right there). The staff is a great group of very friendly people. Very reasonable price for clean, comfortable, well-equipped rooms. Hello to Ladene and Carol - they will help make your stay even better.
Upon check-in, receptionist made no mention of amenities such as full breakfast, pool, etc. Rooms were OK, but carpet was a bit old. It appeared that they were in the process of changing out the carpet in some rooms. Elevator was old, creaky and not very clean...dirt on floor was left that way for most of the day. Parking lot spaces very tight.
Overall stay was very good , felt safe , good location. Rooms were good size and very clean. Only issue I had was I was on a schedule but check in was delayed. Facility very clean and well maintained near freeway.
Because they had been recommended & recently renovated, we booked a room at the back. Though it was near the freeway, you could barely hear any traffic noise. However, the bathroom exhaust fan runs 24/7 on its own & its constant growling made comfortable sleep impossible - even using earplugs. Everything was clean, lighting was nice & bright, and the shower's water flow & pressure were excellent. Pillows are small (approximately 12x12) and squish to nothing. If you want support, bring your own, or request some extras.
We are BW regulars. When we made our reservation, in response to our questions, the front desk staffer recommended the rooms at the back that were close to the freeway because they had been recently updated and insulated. Once we were in our room, the traffic could barely be heard, but the bathroom exhaust fan ran 24/7 & it couldn't be turned off. As a result, its growling could be heard & felt through the bedroom walls & it made sleeping comfortably a challenge. We found our room to be clean, spacious, and up-to-date with nice touches such as granite countertops and crown molding. The lighting over the sink was bright (thank you) and the shower was excellent, i.e., there was enough flow and pressure to be able to rinse off completely. The bed pillows were small (approximately 12X12) and squished down to virtually nothing. So, if you prefer support, you'll need to bring your own pillow, or ask for additional ones. The room's windows actually open, so it was nice to be able to get a bit of fresh morning air.
It's not fancy but super comfy and cleaned. I have stayed in other more expensive hotels with nice decorated rooms with cute lamps and frames but they looked dirty dusty and stinky. But this hotel best wester is perfect for the price super clean and not weird smells at all! The stuff is very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again
This hotel was not.up to date room had a funny odor there was no sofabed as the room I booked said there was the so called couch was nasty and dirty had a condom in between the cushions when I called front desk I hit a grumpy lady name carol whose exact words was not my problem tell the manager tomorrow Not happy at all w/service
We can not get over how our room was not serviced even though we asked them. And when we called front desk, they hung up on both of us. She said we could talk to the manager, and I said “ we just won't come back” and she said.” Ok, good night”
During my stay housekeeping never came to clean or even straighten up the room. Ran out of toilet paper, called the front desk, and was told they had it there and that I could come get it. Not what I expected
The room had a foul odor, wifi didn't work well, the walls are paper thin, and a guest had a vehicle break-in. The bathroom door wouldn't close and the fan in the bathroom was broken so the room steamed up with every shower. The lighting wasn't good either. The pool was closed. But the front desk staff was really nice. This place is more rundown than the website makes it appear.
Literally the worst best western I have ever stayed at... No PLUS about it. We were "greeted" by a woman without a mask on and she was giving off some less-than-positive vibes. They also had large signs in the lobby stating that if your stay was going to be longer than 21 days, then you had to vacate for 48 hours before coming back... It was the second sign of a place where maybe we should have asked for a refund and go somewhere else. We were in room 110. The door was not weather proofed or sound proofed and my daughter and I heard everything in the entire inside courtyard area. There was music in the courtyard that played 24/7 and we heard every second of it. The sound transmission between the floor above us and our room was amazing! We heard the upstairs neighbor walk back and forth on the squeaky flooring till about 12:30AM. In the morning, I believe the same worker (or at least the same attitude) was doing the "breakfast serving" near the front. We opted to skip it.
Don't stay here. Potential drug dealing, prostitution and definitely theft of personal property. Staff is awful and uncaring, location is sketchy. Walls are paper-thin, grounds are dirty, clientele is suspect.
It is always a delight to stay here! Cleanliness is a top priority in these days and this hotel really takes care of things. The rooms are very clean and smell good, never stuffy or dusty. The maintenance is very good also! I have stayed here a number of times for appointments in the area and have been happy with this hotel each time.
This hotel is just what I needed, for the right price. The check in and out process was very smooth. The Covid breakfast was exactly what you need to start. The lady that serves the breakfast was fantastic. And for that price for the night, I definitely will be back.
Not the hotel I thought I was booking, I would consider it a motel. Beds were ok, pillows not good, half the room didn't get cool due to the placement of the AC. The service was pretty good. I stayed at a different Best Western Plus a month ago, it was much nicer, same cost, much bigger rooms, great beds and pillows.
The two women working the covid safe breakfast system, Robin and Ladine were so helpful — really appreciated them going above and beyond and they were super friendly, even early in the morning! Thank you!!
I stayed the first week of march 2021.i needed a slight upgrade from the regular best western in roseville room as always too warm, and not as nice as the plus is.was pleased.i called ahead talked to yolanda at desk she was very nice, flexible attentive.my room was clean nice, had couple minor issues from wear and tear with couple gizmos but their maintenence man was very nice ,dilligent got right on it with a couple minor upkeeps.was impressed with him .will stay again highly reccommend for comfort value and the service.thank you yolanda very nice, a good sense of humour and worked with me on deal.only complaint the hot meal very skimpy for a big guy like me.covid tray.
This is my family's second time staying here we came back specifically for the breakfast. La dive Robin are amazing their work ethic is something to be admired and I love how they keep my family protected by making sure everyone wearing masks. The customer is amazing. It's so neat and orderly it makes me feel comfortable we've stayed at other Best Western but this one is the best. For me mainly because of the breakfast it really is a hot warm meal and it's delicious.
The room had dirty sheets. When we went to the front desk to tell them about it they said there was nothing they could do. We had to just send an email to the manager. They were very unfriendly staff.
This place is the worst place I've ever stayed at in all my years of traveling. You have rude check in and play you have to ladies of color handing out breakfast in the morning that act like it's their food and they treat you like you're absolutely non-existent and very disrespectful. In the parking lot you have people standing around smoking marijuana or listening to very loud music even though they have security guards all over the place which should have been my first clue. Roseville used to be a very nice area I really am saddened to see what has happened to this hotel
The hotel itself is great, roomy, good breakfast even with Covid restrictions The staff is beyond unfriendly no smile, not helpful, seems that our presence irritated them. Last I checked we the customer is why they have jobs.
I've typically been please with my stays at Best Western hotels. But I was badly disappointed with this facility. In my first room a light bulb was blown and the HVAC unit didn't work. A maintenance man arrived and entered my room without a mask. I had to repack, move to another room and unpack. Each night, when arriving after work, my room key didn't work. I had to walk down to the office, carrying all of my work gear, and ask them to make the key work. Nobody apologized for my inconvenience or fixed the problem. People were smoking in their rooms and on the hotel walkways. Someone in my section was smoking pot in their room. The smoke filled the hallway and entered my room. The clientele at this location aren't your typical Best Western types and would better fit at Hotel 6. I won't stay at this hotel again.
Smoke smell upon opening the door. Blood on blanket. Roach in bathroom. Open soap bar. Blood or red stain on floor. Had to ring bell at front desk when the staff member saw us walking in and yelled IM OFF. Keys didn't work when we got to our room. Ice machine didn't work.
Best Western used to be one of my favorite hotels. Noisy room, broken printer in business center I reported multiple times...no maid service...covid fear made the stay terrible. If you are eliminating amenities lower the room rate. TV kept pixilating and then cable went out
Supposedly was upgraded. I think EVERYONE was upgraded the night I stayed. Some problems with the room during the stay. NOT individually to get too upset about, just an inconvenience. However, my wife forgot an item and I have called 4 times just to find out if it has been located. Each time we will call you or call back this time and day, until today speaking with Yolanda....She was almost rude and certainly indignant that I would expect the cleaning staff and the front desk to communicate about a list item. Even AFTER 1 week had transpired. I have made 4 calls to follow up either because no one called back as I was told they would or at the request of the next person I spoke to when I called again. The loss of the item is of little consequence, however, the total disregard of customer satisfaction and care is just not acceptable to me, as much as I travel (pre-COVID of course), I should say the service by the 1 lady that checked in AND the Food Staff were Excellent! It is the REST of the STORY for my Terrible Service rating.
very relaxing had a nice time needed get a way very convenient with the exception of a little noise late night with people being loud especially after midnight people throwing parties an being very liud
Spa worked great but room was a little over priced for not having any room service or anything. And breakfast could have been better.staff was friendly and curteous and was ok with letting me check out late.
I've called several times to inquire about a possible lost item with no return call. All but one of the employees I spoke with were rude with one stating to call back another day. I'm sure house keeping has our lost item...somewhere.
Very nice hotel for the price. Location was great, numerous dining opportunities and shoppers within walking distance. Pleasant staff and nice room. The breakfast was really nice considering COVID 19 protocols.
I (we) stay here several times a year as it is convenient to Kaiser Hospital and is pet friendly and have been doing so for at least 10 years. This is supposed to be a non-smoking hotel but tor a while now whenever I stay here the amount of smoking that goes on around the rooms and in the hallway is unacceptable, this includes and overwhelming amount of marijuana use, evident by the stench. The fact that this has been going on for sometime now tells me they aren't really concerned about fixing the problem.
We have been staying at this hotel for a couple years on our trips to California to visit family. There were questionable people hanging in the parking lot in the evening(think they were guests) during our last stay which will probably be our last stay there. A couple of garbage bags of dirty clothing was on the floor by the elevator and the inside of the non-smoking building smelled like cigarette smoke. Sad it has taken a dive. Time to look for new accommodations.
Roches climbing on my bathroom wall. Room was good. TV channel selection sucks. Way too many strange people hangingout in the parking lot at all hours. Some guests, others not. Seemed more like an over priced Motel 6 than a BW Plus. What is the Plus all about?? Price I guess!!
the people are great and willing to help in any way they can. The housekeeping staff is excellent. I did a great deal of traveling before I retired and this hotel is by far the best I have stayed at. They can be used for training other hotels how to act.
I typically stay at Best Western when traveling for work. It's consistent, convenient, and usually pleasant. This was not one of those times. The location was convenient if not RIGHT next to the freeway. Normally not an issue but in this case, it was a bit too busy. The staff was not very friendly. A person behind the counter, not wearing a mask, asked me to wear a mask (I was getting mine out of my pocket). My room smelled like weed and incense. A sign that someone had stayed in the room previously for a prolonged period. It was so bad, my luggage let out a huge stink upon opening it when i returned home. The only bright spot was the water pressure on the shower was great.
Rooms were fine, hotel layout was a little weird, some weirdos walking around the parking lot sometimes at all hours. Location is good, close to stores freeway etc. They said they upgraded me per diamond status but the room didn't seem like a suite, maybe it was.
Spent 8 nights at the hotel while working. The hotel is fairly decent and has a lot of family friendly amenities. It has a pool, hot tub, exercise room, the air conditioning worked well, and the Wi-Fi was included in the price. There is a laundry room where you can do laundry as needed (The area is extremely hot and humid, so you will need it if there long), the price was roughly $1.00 per laundry load). Ironing board and iron was available in the room as well. The bathroom was spacious, there is a tub instead of just a shower. The breakfast was prepared freshly daily, had fresh scrambled eggs, juices, cereals, coffee, tea, milk, bacon, sausages, breads, hashbrowns, etc. There are plenty of shopping options and restaurants nearby. All in all, an excellent option.
This place has really gone down hill. There is literally a guy doing auto body work on a red mustang in the parking lot. Everything on the amenities list was closed or out of service. Pool and hot tub are closed. Coffee machine in the room did not work. Outlet next to the bed did not work.
Do not stay here. We stayed at the Best Western Plus Orchid Hotel 6/11/20 and our family had $2,500 in an expensive mountain bike theft and damage to the Thule bike rack to which it was locked. I reported the incident to Roseville police department, but without cameras in their parking lot, there is not much they can do. We were on a family mountain biking vacation through Tahoe and my poor kiddo was really looking forward to it and absolutely loved that bike as he loves to mountain bike (he also rode it to school everyday for the past year and would have been next year as well). The night we got there, the police were on a call in a room below us--I should have known.
We have been staying at this property for 20+ years - even before it was acquired by Best Western. It has always been a comfortable and safe place to stay. Not this time. On arrival we found two or three groups of people partying in the parking lot; obvious drinking and drug use. Had to move the car three times to feel it was safe. Our room was on the ground floor and there were large groups of noisy people coming and going all night. The very young lady on duty had no way to control this. It was quite sad to see that this hotel would no longer be our go-to place. They need security!
We stayed at this location for the second time only because of a home repair emergency. The first time wasn't too bad, we were just happy to be in air conditioning after ours went out during a heat wave. This time was because of a plumbing issue, but working plumbing was the only bonus during this stay. In the morning when we discovered our plumbing issue we weren't sure if the plumber was going to be able to come out the same day or the following so I called the hotel to make sure there would be available rooms and that they were open because of the covid restrictions. Whomever I spoke with on the phone was incredibly nice and said there wouldn't be an issue. I also need to mention we have a small dog, so this hotel was able to accommodate us. I never just show up to a hotel, I always book in advance but just couldn't this time. So when we arrived I was greeted by a very grumpy staff member, I'm pretty sure she was not the same person I spoke with on the phone earlier in the day. I asked for the largest rooms they had which are in the executive “wing” but she said pets aren't allowed to stay in those rooms, ok fine I understand this. She booked us in a room with two double beds and it was technically a suite, couch area with a tv, fridge and microwave in front, bathroom in the middle, beds, tv and sink in the back. The desk clerk barely talked to me and did not explain any charges, she didn't ask if I was a Best Western rewards member (which I am) and then didn't explain where I needed to go to get to our room, I had to ask. She also didn't volunteer the information that the breakfast was bagged and what those options would be. Btw, the bagged breakfast was garbage and I had to order food for delivery that next morning. And they didn't mention the fact that the pool and spa were closed. Now I wouldn't go into a pool right now anyways, but it's the principal. So the room wasn't terrible for the rate we paid, the room was right above the office at the front where all of the noise was. The bathroom smelled like smoke and I sanitized all surfaces throughout the room (because of Covid-19) but all the cleaning in the world didn't kill that smell. Also, the bathroom fan sounded like a jet engine and there was a hair in the bathtub. It seemed like they normally would offer more toiletries but didn't bother to restock those, not even hand soap. Thankfully I packed my own hand soap. The only bottle there was shampoo. The elevator was slower than molasses and smelled like pee. The other hotel guests were “interesting” to say the least. It looked like they were renting by a weekly rate. I did not see any guests like this last year and this area is fairly nice, so that was disappointing. One of the other guests was standing right outside of our door smoking when we were trying to leave the following morning. Upon check out, a different front desk clerk from the day before who was a lot nicer but didn't ask me how my stay was or anything. She didn't really seem to care. The conveniences of the hotels location are fantastic. There are a lot of restaurants and shopping near by and you're right off of the freeway so it's not hard to find. Obviously we hope that we won't encounter anymore emergency house repairs, but if we do I won't be returning to this location. PS, we were a little excited to stay somewhere different for the night since we've been on “lock-down” for several months and have had to cancel the few trips we make a year, but this visit was anything but fun.
The room was way beyond my expectations the staff was very helpful the only issue I had was the hot water which I eventually got to work an hour before I was ready to check out. Love the location of the hotel and the staff
would have liked to know about this location sooner cause it was one of the best locations I ever been to breakfast was everything you could ever ask for and the pool was clean and working great too!wish I found it sooner
We were visiting with friends nearby, and I remembered this place from another trip as better, more up to date, not so tired looking. However, being there, we were in a separate wing, not near the pool, etc., and it was quiet. Staff was ok. Bed was comfortable. Lots of parking.
Beautiful hotel property with outstanding staff and amenities. Nice sized, spacious, clean and quiet rooms. The hotel is also pet friendly, excellently priced, and has a pool and hot tub. There is also a breakfast buffet, and an evening happy hour, with 2 free drinks per room. It was awesome. Can't wait to return.
We booked this hotel last minute due to having to drive home from california. We arrived late, but the front desk was super nice and friendly. They quickly got us into a 3rd floor room that overlooks a beautiful court yard. The court yard has tables to sit and a small putting pad, which my daughter loved. Right around the corner is another courtyard with a pool and hot tub. The breakfast is amazing. Ham, eggs, pancakes, amazing biscuits and gravy, waffles, breads, bagels, oatmeal, fresh yogurt, juices, and more. Definatly an added bonus. It was easy to find and close to a Shopping and restaurants. We will definatly stay here again, when we have time to enjoy it.
Everything was great they were very nice people everything was clean and in great condition the breakfast was very good with a lot of choices and the staff was great about keeping everything full and clean
Anytime we come up north my wife and I stay at this Best Western. Check in is quick, rooms are laid out well. And they offer cocktails hours which they give you two vouchers for free drinks and also a goodie bag (Best Western Rewards Member) I recommend this place anyone traveling to Roseville!
We enjoy staying at this Best Western. The rooms are clean and quiet. We especially like the way the rooms are set up. The kids can watch their own programs in the separate bedroom. Love the complimetary breakfast. Nice pool when the weather is warm too.
If you are looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay for a night or two, this is it. The room could have used a little fix up (sand and re-paint) to the walls in a couple of places, but overall in good shape.
Very nice hotel, wonderful staff, but too expensive for a ‘casual traveler'. Clean, comfortable rooms. Normal hotel-breakfast. Easy access to freeway. Good parking options. No designated pet walking area, and no “ pet area”! ( I was here for a dog-related competition.)
Roseville has many options but the Orchid suites is a great option with a wonderful hot breakfast and complimentary happy hour in the evening. rooms are clean and spacious and you are close to many amenities.
We found ourselves between a house that has sold and a house that we purchased not ready to move into during the week of Christmas. Even though it was that time of year, we foound that the Best Wester Plus in Roseville to be a convenient place to stay. Also with a full breakfast it was a tru value. We were then surprised with a free beer or wine in the lounge each evening accompanied by some snacks and also met some friendly people staying at the hotel. All in all this made for a difficult time a relaxing time in the evening.
Very impressed with this location. We have stayed in Marina before and enjoyed the stay. This location was a step up. Nice location, the personnel were clean, neat and informative. The room was very nice with about 5 pillows per bed which made it feel like heavenly clouds around me. The bed was comfortable and clean. The shower was amazing, a big shower head covered the entire body and I didn't have to run around to get wet. I was a little worried about not being able to see my car from the room but it was fine in the morning. The internet was fine I made some connections and it worked fine. The breakfast was top of the line. The service was fabulous, some one was either cleaning or changing product. The front desk with Carol was a delight. She was informative and helpful on our checkout. I would recommend this location to my friends and family. . .
The Best Western hotel was pricey compared to the Ramada Wyndham in Fresno where we stayed during the remainder of our vacation, but if we could do it over, we would have emptied our pockets and stayed at a Best Western in Fresno.
My best Western points were not given to me because I booked through A different booking company. If they would have told me I would not receive my points I would have chosen a different way to book the room. That is my biggest complaint.
Property needs some updating, and has nice staff except one person working graveyard shift...they also shut off ALL water at 9:40 in the morning without warning so they could do maintenance,The room is comfortable but outdated
We stay at this hotel every year! Have stayed here before Best Western took it over and it still has remained the great hotel we love. The rooms are great, the beds are very comfortable, the staff is very helpful. Their breakfast is exceptional, hot and tasty, with a great selection of items.
I know things need to be repaired, but the spa/jacuzzi was half full of brown water and leaves. Looked more like a pond than a spa. The other guests were rather loud and noisy and since the rooms open to courtyard you get to hear the conversations of everyone as they come and go or stand outside to smoke. The room itself was fine, but in the morning when I went in for a shower found a nice cockroach hanging out in the tub waiting for me. At that point I canceled my reservation for my next trip and moved it to a different hotel. When I am on a business trip I don't need a five star hotel, but something a little more comfortable makes a difference. Apparently they have a happy hour where you can get a couple of drinks for free, but I opted to go across the street to a great Indian restaurant. Overall it was not the worst place I've stayed, but definitely not one of the better ones.
This is a very nice property right off the freeway with easy access. The grounds are well kept. They accomodate up to two pets - a huge plus as we were in the area for a dog show. The rooms are clean. I was pleased to see a Gideon Bible in the nightstand drawer, as I had left my personal Bible behind. The staff is friendly, and answered my questions promptly. Okay - now for the negatives: the AC system is one of the old-fashioned wall unit types which is very loud. The pillows were cheap and lumpy. I ended up bundling up my jacket and using it for a pillow as it was actually more comfortable. There is no fan in the bathroom. The WiFI was all but worthless as every time we got it to connect, our browser would not load anything. This may only be an issue for the room in which we stayed, but one of the lamps with outlets installed in it had the stem of the lamp installed incorrectly (too close to the outlet), rendering an adaptor useless. It was not a problem with the other lamps in our room, so we were still able to charge our devices. Carpeting and tile need replacement as they are becoming worn. During our stay our sink backed up while no one was using it, but Maintenance came promptly and repaired it. The next day the plumbing system at the Hotel was shut down for four hours but this did not affect us as we were out of the grounds during that time. That night the toilet backed up late at night and Maintenance did not show up for about an hour. This was inconvenient as we were tired, but they did fix the problem.
main issue is bar gives 2 free drinks per night, and group of drunk guests hung around outside doors talking loudly at 1:30 am. Doors are not a sound barrier. No smoking signs posted on property but not enforced as men were smoking cigarettes and marijuana in pool area and outside rooms overlooking pool. Not what we expected atmosphere-wise.
Quick check in process. Staff was friendly and accommodated me when I asked for a quite area of hotel. Parking spaces were tight. Rooms need to be updated for the price. Beds not very comfy, firm mattress.
I know that each property is individually owned and has its own rules, to an extent. I am a diamond member and was very surprised that I was given a goodie bag AND points even though I was using reward points. I don't know if it was an error or simply going above and beyond to show your appreciation for a good customer. I appreciated this very much! I stayed at another property in Denver and didn't receive either. Again, I understand if it's the hotel policy but little things like that make a difference. This is our second time staying at this location within the last year and will do so again if ever in the area. The staff was awesome also! Breakfast was very good too.
Excellent to very good on everything. Internet much faster than most 5 star hotel/motels. Friendly and accomodating staff. A group of 24 to 36 of us have stayed at this BW property over the last 3 years. The hotel has not changed which is why we come back. It is located just around the corner from HWY 80. It is a family property so this visit we had lots and lots of soccer and softball kids and families. The pool, workout room, and bar were all great! We will be back for year 4 of our long golf weekend...............JC
My other half and I have been traveling like ships in the night for (what seemed like) the whole summer, so I decided to check out a suite for date night at Best Western Orchid Suites because I'd stayed there before and liked it. I received a check-in email that had a button to click to “pre-check in” and got an error when I clicked it. I called the hotel and the gentleman I spoke to said “That doesn't really do anything” so I left it. On the day of our arrival I wanted to make sure everything was set for a nice, relaxing dinner but I ended up arriving about an hour later than expected. Check-in was so quick and smooth that I didn't even catch the lady's name that checked me in. She told me about happy hour where there were two free drinks per room from 5:30-9:30 in the lounge and directed me to a parking lot “to the left and all the way to the back” behind the hotel — seriously, drive to the back parking lot, it's nearly a block from the front door (or at least it seemed like it after the long day I'd had. The wing we were staying in required a key card to open the doors, and just inside was one of those concierge cart things to get your luggage to your room. Bonus! I unloaded the car on to the cart and found the elevator just to the left of the entryway. The carpet looks brand new, but doesn't look like they're done renovating (honestly I didn't notice this for hours). Our room was on the third floor and when I stepped in I smiled. Plenty of room, a sitting/living room area with a tv, a bar with barstools, and a separate bedroom with a door and it's own tv. The bathroom was large, well lit, and had a jetted tub as advertised (but I'll get to that later). I opened the small closet next to the entrance door and it was a little awkward. It was small but suitable since we weren't staying for long. I unpacked and set up for dinner, unpacked my bag(s), and decided to take a bath. I didn't pay attention to any details about the bathroom other than it being clean and the tub getting full. The bathroom door closes automatically, which scared me the first time. I didn't really get used to it but it was fine. I filled the tub which was large enough for me without a problem — will report back when I know if it's suitable for two — I added bubbles and hit the button for the jets. Nothing happened. I tried again, same thing... third time's the charm and I held the button down. The jets kicked on and the hum was *LOUD* — I wonder if the guests next door to us could hear them. I didn't really hear anyone else (or even see anyone else) on our floor, and would have suspected we were completely alone if I hadn't seen “Do Not Disturb” signs on a few doors. I hung out in the tub for a bit, but the noise of the jets wasn't very relaxing. I turned them off and got out. As I was stepping out, I noticed that some of the stone tiles surrounding the tub were cracked. It's not the prettiest, but it exists ‘as advertised' The bar area was nicely set up there were two drawers under the microwave, a cabinet with two small garbage cans, and a mini fridge with an even smaller “freezer” area in it. Unfortunately to keep the freezer area cold enough for ice: the fridge has to be set at a temp that wound up freezing the cucumber slices I brought. My other half arrived and I got dressed so I could head downstairs and give him one of the parking passes to put on his dash. (I don't know if they are required to avoid a tow, but better safe than sorry). We headed up and I went in search of ice. I thought the ice was somewhere around the 60's rooms but I wound up in another part of the hotel and found one. I returned to our room and realized we didn't have forks for dinner, I called the front desk and they said we could come down and get some. Since the front desk is a bit far from the room we were in, we decided to head to happy hour and then grab forks later. The lounge happened to be nearly directly downstairs from where I got ice. We walked in, and there were a few barstools around a small bar plus about half a dozen two seater tables. I noticed some games on one table; and if I weren't so tired, I might have tried one. The bartender asked what we wanted (Beer or Wine) then took down our room number. I chose Merlot while my companion picked beer, both satisfactory/nothing fancy, but free is nice. Monday Night Football played on the television right over a small nacho bar with chips, cheese, salsa and jalapeños. I love nachos, so honestly I was pretty happy to just sit there and could have completely forgotten about the dinner I made... I even got seconds. We decided to head back to our room with our drinks and I wished I'd brought cash for a tip but was not interested in walking back again (Sorry, next time though!) There were plastic forks in the bar area so we brought two back to our room and had dinner. The couch in the living room area was wonderfully comfortable, the lamps for the decor and were a nice alternative to glaring overhead lights. The bar area had lights you could dim, so that was also lovely. In the actual bedroom there was and entertainment center/dresser with three drawers. The knobs weren't tightened and some of them twisted when I pulled to open them. If I'd have had a screwdriver or multitool on me: I'd have tightened them down. I kept re-lining up the knobs because having one sideways and one “right” was bothering me. It was *very* nice to have somewhere to put things away so I didn't have a visually cluttered space. The bed was amazingly firm and there were separate wall air conditioner/heater units for the living room and bedroom. The sheets were nice enough/serviceable, but I tend to like heavier blankets. There were plenty of pillows, so I just tossed one on my back after I was under the covers (I'm a stomach sleeper. Later, wanting to see what was on tv, I turned on the television and got a very unclear picture — it wasn't that big of a deal so I just turned it off and went to bed. One thing I noticed, since our room faced the freeway, was that you could hear traffic noise all night. Not at a particularly high volume, but it was present and I figure most pronounced in the higher room numbers on each level. There was a free breakfast that I didn't wake up in time for and I realized that checkout at this property is 11am instead of 12. The lady at the front desk (Julia) was wonderfully accommodating when I apologized for not realizing it before and I dashed to shower and pack up. One thing I noticed was that the certificate in the elevator was expired. All in all: the room (King Suite with Jetted tub) was definitely worth the price. It was comfy and spacious. A few things could be touched up, but I figure for a special night out or something every now and again we'll definitely stay here. Pros: Quiet hallways New carpet Free Nachos Two free drinks per room (Mon-Sat 5:30pm-9:30pm) Spacious room Bathroom opposite side of the room from the bedroom Cons: Elevator button shocked me every time I touched it (someone said this happens with new carpet?) Sorry vent in bathroom Cracked tile in bathroom Unfinished carpet in halls Possible Con: Freeway noise — if you need complete silence to sleep, do NOT stay in the even 370's.
Check-in/out was pleasant They had cookies! The room we checked in to smelled badly of cigarette smoke. We talked to the front desk and they happily let us choose a different room. The wifi had no problems, jacuzzi was nice. Breakfast was OK. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Reviewed last year, but will review again this year. Stayed 10 nights this month and had a pleasant time. I have no idea what the other reviews were about the smells. Our room had a fresh smell and was cleaned every day. Once again, desk/ reception staff were all awesome and welcoming. It's nice to know that we're remembered :) they always greet us with a warm smile and welcoming hellos. house keeping staff are on point with their cleaning. There was one morning we had the do not disturb because we needed a lay in, knowing fine well the room wouldn't get a service. Which is fair enough. We expected that. House keeping want to get on and not wait around for us lazies. There was even a note to say. When we went out in the afternoon and returned later that evening, to find the room full serviced. So, thank you for that :) breakfast really well done, the kitchen staff at hand, always working away to make sure everything is kept full. We were on the top floor facing the patio/ decking area and it was so quiet, even during the weekend! My only recommendation is some of the rooms could do with being updated in terms of USB charging ports instead of normal plugs. Mainly because most electronics have a usb cable and it saves us from the Uk bringing over all the adapters that take up the room of two plugs. But other than that, could not fault the room for what we needed: a base and somewhere to sleep and shower. We were barely in the room during the day. Thanks again BW, to all the team at the hotel. See you again next year for my annual trip
We arrived later after a concert and we were pretty tired. I had done the pre check in online which made arriving for check-in at the hotel quick and easy. Would recommend using this option to speed up the process.
This was not the BW standard I've come to expect & trust. If it were, I'd never stay at any BW. I visited this location over others as it was close to the conference center I'd visit in the morning for a work meeting. The odors of marijuana & cigarettes in room 327 were overwhelming & as the motel was sold out, I had no other room options. Upon entering the room & immediately noticing the odors, I tripped over what I imagine was a piece of foam or "welcome" mat UNDER the very old & dirty carpet. Heading into the room, I tripped over small HOLES in the flooring which were simply covered by the disgusting carpet. I had to check again to be sure I was even at a BW, as I'd never experienced a room so bad. I took a shower & brushed my teeth before bed as I normally do at other BW locations & both the sink & bathtub did not drain well & left me with standing water. I got into bed but noticed the linens were dirty as were the pillows so I used a sweatshirt I brought as a pillow. The couch was stained, smelled badly & the cushions were shredded at the =hems as were the arm rests on it. The coffee table was very scratched & appeared to have a ring from previous cup which came off when wiped & crumbs left from a previous guest. the room was clearly not cleaned prior to my arrival. that in and of itself is unacceptable & unsanitary. Needless to say, I didn't take my shoes off until I went to bed & getting into the bed was a fiasco as I tripped into a HOLE IN THE FLOOR! That one was the largest of others I'd tripped on throughout the room. The motel boasts a new renovation but it is crystal clear that room 327 was omitted from that. There was nothing desirable about that room except checking out. I couldn't wait to leave & I'll never stay at that location again.
I'm not sure where the "newly renovated rooms" were but my room 327, certainly wasn't part of that of that at all. The carpet was completely ripped up in some places, revealing wood underneath. There were holes in the floor under the carpet right next to the bed which was made apparent after I tripped in one trying to get into the bed. Upon entering the room, the 1st thing I noticed was the terrible odor of cigarettes & marijuana. I drove 3 hours to stay at this particular location as I had a business conference to attend just 10 minutes from the Best Western location & thought with great reviews, I would be in a safe location nearby the meeting. The flooring was absolutely atrocious & I honestly don't know if that room was omitted from the renovation because aside from bedside lamps, the t.v. & mirrored, accordion style doors which open to a closet, nothing else wasn't even kind of new. The bedding & pillows were dirty. The couch was also dirty & the cushions were shredded at the edges. The room had a very strong odor of marijuana which was absolutely inappropriate & also smelled like cigarettes, which though I don't smoke, was cautioned against doing in the rooms as I would have to pay for them to be cleaned, which had clearly not been done. The bathtub had a 1/2 dollar sized chunk taken out of it which was simply poorly painted over & still showed black underneath. The shower curtain smelled horribly of cigarette smoke, & there wasn't a bathmat. The bathtub held water as I showered & collected about 3" of water by the time I got out. Gross. The sink operated the same way. It filled up about a 1/4 of the way just brushing my teeth & don't leave the water on as I brush. The sink filled as I rinsed my toothbrush & my mouth. Ridiculous. I am honestly not sure how this particular location maintains it's brand as a Best Western & honestly if this was a standard I knew about Best Western, I'd never stay at any of their locations. I'd nearly expect this quality from a motel 6, but even they offer clean linens & in tact carpet. The room should have been put out of order until being brought up to the Best Western standard I know & come to expect. The location was convenient, safe & it was quiet at night but it was beyond dated. It was downright disgusting. There is no way all of the rooms are that bad with a Trip Advisor rating of 4 stars so I'm convinced I was given one of the rooms which had not been renovated. To which I feel I should have been given the option to opt out of staying at that location or been given a significant price reduction for the extreme reduction in Best Western standard. I will never stay at that location again & honestly, now I will look at the rooms in person before checking in to stay. BEst Western is a brand that typically maintains a certain level of ambiance which I am familiar with. This location did not match that standard even a little. That room was just awful!
Nice hotel, nice rooms, clean and comfortable, friendly staff, great breakfast selection. Close to shopping centers and restaurants. Nice lounge, was given 2 free drinks per night of my stay, a definite plus! Will be back!
We booked this hotel because it was close to Kaiser Hospital, where my newest grandson was being born. We stayed a total of three nights; during the second night, our van was broken into. They drilled through the lock and popped it out, making that door unlockable. When we informed the front desk, they were very blase about the whole thing (apparently they firmly stand behind their "Not responsible for theft..." sign). When we asked if they had cameras, we were told they did not. What hotel chain can't afford a few cameras to help their patrons with safety? The second problem were the actual rooms. We had my husband's 93-year-old father with us (two rooms), and I had requested an ADA room for him, but close to us so that we could help him (he's a diabetic). First we got two rooms near each other, but both had a tub and shower. I was afraid of that, so I went back down to get what I'd originally requested, and found there weren't any close to each other. We were in a different building, and his room was way in the back next to a door that didn't open in the evening and, if he used it to exit, had only stairs - no ramp. To get to breakfast, he had to walk down two entire buildings. Luckily, we had his cane and walker with us! The third problem (though this was minor in comparison to the first two) was that I had the "Do not disturb" tag outside our door during the night. When we went to breakfast at 8, the maid had already put a tag informing us that since we didn't want to be disturbed, we would not get serviced that day. I guess you have to get up pretty early, or beg for stuff if you are a late sleeper. I figured for the first day that at least I'd get my 500 points for not being serviced. But while we were at the hospital, someone came in and replaced our towels and made the bed. No vacuuming, no dumping trash, no cleaning sinks - so we didn't get serviced, yet we didn't get points for not being serviced. Breakfast to me ended a bit early - 9. However, it was nice that they didn't kick customers out or totally close up shop right at 9 - you just had to be started by then. Breakfast was about what one would expect and the ladies who took care of the dining room were on the ball to clean. Overall a good breakfast experience. Now back to the first problem. Our last day, when we wanted to stop by the hospital to say goodbye to our son, daugher-in-law and new grandson, we had to take turns, as someone had to stay with the van, as we had all of our stuff in it after checking out. So in summary, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone, knowing that they could have their vehicle broken into and no recourse action, as there would be no video footage.
The smell and condition of my room was bad. I asked to change rooms and was told I could not. I paid for 3 night but left after two because I could not stand the smell any longer. The refrigerator froze all my food although it was set on medium. I had to get up a couple times each night to fix the toilet as it would start running at random. There is homelessness problem in the area, every time I went to my car theee was at least one person rummaging through the garbage cans. I've stayed in a couple hundred hotels; this one rates as second worst. I could go on, but won't.
The many times I have stayed have always been good. The staff goes out of their way to help you or answer any questions. The breakfast is always good and more importantly to me it is served on time. I have sometimes had to stay an extra night and sometimes leave a day early and it has never been a problem.
I have never been treated so rudely by a front desk employee than I was at this hotel. First of all, they had no idea how to do their job and could answer none of my questions prior to my arrival. They hung up on me once due to what I can only assume was me asking “too many questions”. I had to stay at this hotel, but refused to call the front desk again. So I called the corporate office to make my reservation. My wife requested an extra pillow and blanket that never came. The one bright spot was the breakfast and the staff. The breakfast was above and beyond and the staff helping were pleasant. I will never stay at this hotel again solely because of the front desk staff.
This is a family and pet friendly spot. Convenient location off of I80. There is a great restaurant near by, Lorenzo's, but if you prefer t use DoorDash or another delivery service for a meal the drivers a familiar with the location. Tommy at registration is great!
Yolanda S. is the best! Let me just start by saying that. She was extremely friendly and a relief to talk to, she is the reason we will continue to come here. She greeted us with a big smile and a cheerful welcome. Mind you, there were about 15 people waiting around to check in because check in is at 3pm. I hope that she gets a raise and a well deserved promotion, don't let her go anywhere else! Thank you Yolanda-the-awesome! The breakfast was great! Pretty busy though but lots of tournaments happening in the area. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The shower water had good pressure and the towels were thick and soft. I LOVE that the queens beds were separated by the bathroom. Phenomenal idea! It allowed my daughter and her teammate their own area. The two TVs was also a plus! Thank you Best Western Plus Orchid! We will be back!
Used to be our place to stay in Roseville. It now seems pretty tired and worn, like the linens. Needed cleaning. Just not kept up like it used to be. The smell of chemical air freshener was overpowering in the room.
Rooms are definitely dated. Hotel needs an update. Rooms are poorly lit but quiet. Beds are worn, but not unbearable. Hot shower, check. Slow but steady WiFi. Customer service, meh. Check-in was rushed, check out was rushed. Attendant will not understand the customer unless they quit talking and quit interrupting. Emailed manager about customer service, took me two phone calls to get email address and a name. Manager did immediately respond to my email. Manager took ownership of my concern and plans to review concerns with staff.
In town for our children's doctors appointment in the area, the staff was helpful with an early check in, and the breakfast and amenities were as always very good. We stay here often and will continue to do so when we have business in town
Our Original plans changed and we found ourselves in need of another place to stay near Sacramento. I couldn't have been more pleased to find ourselves here. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the staff very friendly, a very pleasant courtyard area and pool, along with a full blown breakfast the next morning. Would highly reccomend to anyone needing an affordable place to stay with all the comforts they would want.
First time here but no complaints. The property is well kept with plenty of space to hang out (pool, courtyard) and the staff was friendly and helpful. We landed here after canceling another property that turned out to be far less than what we were hoping. We couldn't have been more pleased to get rooms here. It is clean and comfortable with a nice pool and hot tub. The rooms came with two free drinks (beer, wine, or soda) in their lounge in the evening. The weather was hot so we hung out at a table in the shade in the courtyard most of the evening. It was very pleasant. Breakfast was also much larger than we expected with eggs, bacon, sausage, 2 types of potatoes, biscuits and gravy, cereal, pastries, and quite a bit more. If we are ever out this way again this is the first place we will look!
Large property with very good amenities, friendly staff and convenient location. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub, the evening reception and the full hot breakfast. Room was a great layout with space for a family of 5. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
Great friendly service. Front desk morning crew was awesome. Carol and Yolanda were helpful and friendly. I went to front desk to because the toilet was clogged by the time I went back to the room Hector was there to take care of it. He was friendly and took care of it. Breakfast is yummy! And the ladies that service the breakfast are great! Oh yea the happy hour. 2 free drinks per room for adults. They have shirley temples for kids. That was cool. Worth staying here. The area is clean and quiet. Our room with 2 queen beds were separated by the bathroom and each area had a tv cool, set up.
Great stay, but one major bump to a traveling senior tournament player... (3) of us in suite, and I drew the shortest straw, the Sofa Bed! The sofa bed mattress in the Double Suite was horrible... So flimsy, the coils drove into your back... Everything else was excellent.. Hot BK with sausage, bacon, eggs.
Front desk clerk Tommy is amazing!!! Always greets everyone with a smile and genuine kindness!!! The staff as a whole is fabulous! Safe comfortable environment. Here for work, would come back for leisure s well.
We stay here for softball tournaments. It's a safe clean place. Our room looked clean and smelled clean. They have a nice pool and hot tub. The breakfast is great!! Staff is very kind and friendly. We love the BW Orchid.
We stay here every time I come back to town, friendly staff Eager to please, check in always fast and No rush to leave giving you time to get your things together. Rooms are spacious and clean. I would recommend to family and friends
super good breakfast and interesting layout of the hotel with the pool on one side and the deck on the other was nice happy hour was good nice relaxing older crowd in the bar bar tender was very nice also
I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times in the past and had a great experience, but this time was very different. On Saturday morning we left our room to find dog droppings all down the walkway, I reported this to the front desk and went to breakfast off site. Upon returning an hour and a half later the dog droppings were still there with a couple of cones places near it. I again went to the front desk and was told that they were too busy and would get to it. I explained that we paid far too much to have to look at and smell this mess, it should have been a priority. The women at the front desk was extremely rude and not very helpful, there was another women at the desk that got on the phone right away to get it taken care of. I asked to speak to a manager but was told she was not in and handed her card. I called her extension and left a message asking for a call when she came in on Monday. This is Wednesday and I still have not received a call back from the manager. Very poor customer service and I will find another place to stay when visiting again in the area.
The people will go out of their way to help you and everyone is super friendly. The food is wonderful and the lounge is very nice to visit. If you have any problems they will make it right or explain why they can't. BEST PLACE I HAVE EVER STAYED!!!!
Clean and well maintained facility. Helpful and nice employees. My room is larger than a regular room . Clean, comfortable beds, and sofa bed. Close to Roseville downtown.and freeway. Hot breakfast and coffee and more.
They really go the extra mile here. Six days a week they have a “bar” open where you can get two free drinks per room (wine, beer, soft drinks) in the evening. This is great when there is one person per room; however, I had booked a room with “two bedrooms” and there were three of us. Being limited to only two complimentary soft drinks between the three of us was a little disappointing. They also served nachos which was a nice treat. The facility is very large and you are likely to be a long walk away from the reception/breakfast area. Part of that walk will involve walking outside. If you have lots of bags it is wise to not offload them until you learn where your room is located. I booked a double king with two bathrooms which was actually two rooms connected together. One of the rooms was behind the elevator so there was only one way to enter which was through the larger room. One room had a bathtub and the other had a large walk in shower with tiled walls. The larger of the two rooms also included a sofa and easy chair - the other room did not have space for more than the bed and the bathroom (due to the elevator). The HVAC units all seemed new and worked well and I found the bed comfortable. What I did not like was the bath towels as they were the scratchiest I've ever encountered - it felt like I was sanding my skin dry. Breakfast was extensive. They offered: sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, cheese omelets, sausage patties, fried potatoes, hot oatmeal that was carefully tended, waffle maker, cereal and yogurt. There were also plenty of breakfast breads and I liked the raising bread as that is always fun for toasting. Finally they had a “juice” option called Peach Citrus that was very sweet and very good. If you have a sweet tooth you will enjoy this stuff. The coffee was surprisingly bold and had a nice flavor. We were all pleased with breakfast.
We stay here every time we come into the area. It's a quiet place and the staff is great. I love that they have a lounge where you can unwind with a couple of drinks at the end of the day. Their house Merlot is really good.
Booked a king room and was surprised at how spacious it was. It had a little sitting room with a second tv that you could close off from the bedroom with pocket doors. Lounge and pool area was very nice. In a convenient location. Would stay again if in the area.
This place was awesome. They have their own little pub and gave us drink tickets. We met some cool people and had a glass of wine. We didn't get to hit the fitness center but we did look in. There was enough there to get the job done. We slept quietly and peacefully despite having our pup with us and other pups were staying there too, but they made it a point to keep us apart so....no barking.
This hotel's room and staff was very nice and helpful. The room was clean, breakfast was very good and location was terrific. The complimentary 2 drinks was very nice, the large deck was a very nice place to visit and relax.
This place is gross, despite the decent reviews. The first thing I see when I go to my room: a huge roach on the TV stand. I picked up the phone to call the front desk about this, and the phone doesn't work. So I used my cell phone to call the front desk and got an apology for the roach. Later, when leaving my room, I saw roaches in the hallway. CLEARLY THIS PLACE HAS A DISGUSTING ROACH PROBLEM. I didn't sleep well, assuming my room was infested. Checked out early the next day and wasn't even asked about my stay; the front desk guy just grumbled something about my room number in between bites of his sandwich. I checked out the breakfast before leaving, since I was told it was "above average, for a hotel." The food I saw was basic and looked borderline inedible, so I left without touching any of it.
At check in the staff were very friendly and welcomed me. The location offers easy access to the freeway and to shopping/restaurants. My room was located on the third floor, I had concerns with the flooring in the room as there was a soft spot in the floor right next to the bed. Then I found that the internet did not work in my room at all. I called the front desk and reported the issue, the following day I went to the front desk in person. Both resulted in the staff dismissing the issue as being a problem with my device, even after showing the staffer at the front desk that my device connected fine while in the lobby. Since I was on a business trip and needed to be able to work in the evening, I had to switch hotels midway through my trip. The manager called me after check to apologize for the issue and offered a discount.
We stayed on the second floor. We arrived a little early and they let us check in a little early, which was appreciated. The cocktail hour was nice with a free drink for each person and nachos for a snack. Ice machine worked well, we had everything we needed. The price was good and an above average breakfast was included.
We were visiting family in Roseville and found this hotel to be in an excellent location for our needs. There were plenty of dining choices nearby and a Walmart around the corner which we ended up needing to visit. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the breakfast was hot and tasty and variety of choices excellent, and the rooms were spacious and clean. Takes awhile to get hot water going but otherwise a very good choice.
My husband and I moved from Texas to California. I spent 9 days at this hotel and I purchased the reservation through Priceline before we were able to get into our new house. We chose this hotel because we could have our cats there. I was very disappointed in the hotel. The first room we were assigned had a closet door that was stuck open and the doors jutted out into the room. We requested a different room and got one. The 2nd room had some curtains that were torn up at the hem. There is not very good room maintenance. This is one of the most uncomfortable hotels I have ever stayed in. The furniture was all uncomfortable (beds, loveseat, and chair/desk). I could not get comfortable in the room at all. The desk was a counter height desk but the office chair was a normal height chair so I could not use the desk for my computer or eating. The back of the office chair kept tipping back in a reclined position. It would not stay up, even after adjustment. The loveseat had no comfortable attributes. It was hard and tipped toward the middle. There were no other chairs that were somewhat comfortable for watching TV or reading. The worst were the beds. They were so bad they were hurting my back. I talked to the front desk about it and they said there was nothing they could do about it and that they could not let me out of the reservation because it was made through Priceline. The elevator was questionable, and even stopped working one day. The front desk just said to use the elevator on the opposite side of the building, a long hike if your hands are full. Here it is over 2 weeks later and I am still having painful back spasms and will be seeing a doctor tomorrow. I may have to go to a ciropractor as well. On the upside, their breakfast was very good and they offered 2 free drinks during a happy hour each night. I don't drink but I got some bottled water and some nachos. The hotel was clean as far as I could tell. You'd think they would have offered something since they could not let me out of the Priceline reservation but all they offered was their apologies. I will never stay at a Best Western again. Bad, bad business practices!
Great location. Right off highway, close to shopping area. Pricing for this hotel were great. The staff was very friendly. Rooms were very nice. Nice morn8ng breakfast. Get there early room gets crowded.
Welcomed by courteous professional staff. Kristin explained room location and provided us with some greatly needed water upon our arrival. She was very helpful to us whenever we had a question. We also enjoyed the hot breakfast which had many items to choose from. - excellent staff.
First Best Western experience. I was booked at a neighboring hotel that was unable to accommodate us at check-in and found this down the street. We walked in at 1 AM and promptly got a room with no reservation. The front desk was friendly, the room clean, and had a good breakfast in the morning. Great place if you are ever in Roseville.
Not all Best Westerns are the same. This Best Western was an excellent place to stay near the Sacramento, Roseville, CA area. The lobby folks wee very professional and the lobby was clean with fresh cookies there to eat. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were quiet, the bed were comfortable including a great pillow to sleep on. They even offer two free drinks at night during their happy hour. The next morning the breakfast was well stocked with a good variety of food and it wads hot and good tasting.
It's a great hotel with a great staff! We loved our stay there and will return soon. It's very pet friendly and a good atmosphere. Me, my fiance and our kid dog loved it! It's in a great location with tons of food options. There are also numerous dog parks nearby to utilize.
Our first experience with this motel there was a man in the lobby very upset that he had booked a room online and was not happy with his room and wanted to check out and get his money back... after a long argument with a front desk clerk he ended up walking out without a refund going to another hotel. Once you get past the front desk the exterior and grounds are NOT very well kept... cigarette butts, peaking and chipped paint, outside doors do not close all the way, honestly it was filthy... the elevator is gross too, didn't trust it would operate well... everything smelled like smoke... it was really concerning. Thank God once we walked into our room the room was actually clean and not too bad. We went to the "cocktail hour" and the very rude lady bartender - was too busy on her phone talking to bother taking our drink order... we were the only ones there... and when she finally got off her phone she acted like we were bothering her... she rudely told us our teenage son couldn't be in the room and couldn't have the snacks. I am very aware he couldn't be sitting at the bar but he wasn't even allowed in the room??? So we had to leave. This place looks nice on the pictures but I would never stay here again.
Great Staff! Nice rooms! Great breakfast, hardworking staff to keep dining area clean and food stocked! Close to shopping and dining. Have family in the area and will definitely be staying here again. Next time will use the 2 free drinks each night. Nice 2 Queen, 2 room suite.
the people will go out of their way to help you. They are absolutely wonderful and when you stay as often as I do they learn what you like, such as extra coffee or the room cleaned before noon. If you need help with ANYTHING during your stay all you have to do is ask and if they can help they will.
We stayed for my birthday weekend so we could be closer to the evebt we planned to go to. It made things really enjoyable and made my weekend very nice. My husband was so pleased with all the snacks that was for sale in the lobby when we got bacj to the room really late and was wanting something to eat .
The rooms were very nice, I made the mistake of getting double beds instead of queens but that was my fault. I had 2 adults and 2 children and we had plenty of space. Breakfast was good, although it says it's open until 9am but they start closing it down around 8:30 and we like to sleep in a little while on vacation. The front desk clerk was very nice at check in and check out. It's very close to everything. We will definitely stay there again.
Being a Platinum Member you would think you could get a little help. We asked several times if it would be possible to have a later check out. Our response was you need to contact the day shift. I attempted to contact day shift at 630 am, and was told they come in at 7. I tried again at 715 and was told day shift was not on duty yet. When asked about a later check out I was hoping for 1230 instead of the normal 1100. Still no answer. We went back to room, and was bothered 4 times with the maid trying to get in between 9 and 11. I called about 10 and asked again and was told it would cost us an additional $25 for a 1200 checkout. Wow, I believe I read the higher level members could have later checkouts. Guess I was wrong. Very dissatisfied with this stay.
The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. I stayed for business. The breakfast was one of the most complete for a hotel in this price range. It was an excellent value and I will stay here again.
During check-in I was made aware that my card was not functioning during a hold of deposit. When I just said OK I can pay in cash, front desk replied with OK great that'll be $300. I've stayed at a lot of hotels much nicer than this and I've never had to pay That much for what I got. Reservation was incorrect. No recognition of best western rewards members
Everything about our stay was excellent .. the staff was very friendly, the breakfast was delicious, kept fully stocked and warm and the jacuzzi tub in our room was great to soak in after the long drive. Will definitely stay here again!
The whole staff was very courteous, other family members of mine have stayed here several times and have enjoyed it. Happy hour 2 drinks per room and nachos in lounge Monday thru Saturday, great wi fi they have a guest laundry room and near stores, local bus line, and food venues.
I've been coming twice a year for at least 5 years now. It has been a consistently good place to stay in RosevilleIt is a good value for a good night's stay, I will definitely be returning on my visits to Roseville in the future
I've recently stayed here over the holiday and didn't get any sleep the room I was in had the hardest mattress ever did not get a good nights sleep the two days I was there! Also the free breakfast only lasts till 9:00 their was also some gross undesirable things under the bed! When I checked out I figured I should bring this up to the management she pretty much agreed with me telling me “ya I prefer a softer mattress” and that other guests have had the same complaint on the mattresses as well as things under the bed. Instead of crediting me some money off my stay she told me they would add 2000 reward points? That was totally unacceptable in my opinion. I've stayed at Motel 6 properties that were more comfortable. I'm planning to call their corporate as soon as I get a chance to see if they'll offer me some credit back to my card. You would think a Best Western Plus property is your home away from home a place where you can get some rest!
This older hotel outshines the newer competition by the care & quality customer experiences with exceptional staff! Carol & Yolanda at the front desk are Superstars! Customer service like this is a rare & dying breed. The free breakfast buffet was one of finest I've had! My compliments to management on their high class staff, efforts & attention to details for a comfy stay in a budget friendly hotel. Excellent central location from shopping to freeway access! Loved the atrium for pool & hot tub & outdoor seating design.
The service is A1. They make you feel at home when you walk through the door. The rooms are real comfortable. Also the breakfast has a lot of selections.. Lots of parking I've been to other hotels that didn't come close
We love this hotel when we are in the Sacramento/Roseville area. The staff could not be nicer or more helpful. The Hotel is very convenient and relatively quiet, as the rooms all face inwards, so no real traffic noise for us. The full breakfast is just about the best we have seen anywhere!!
I gave this hotel a grade of "A". In an area of Sacramento not really known for its tourism and accommodations, this hotel was surprisingly lovely. Pros: Beautiful lobby area with water and coffee available 24/7. That was a nice touch. Also cool was that they had a plateful of cookies available to guests in the afternoon. The highlight for us was the very large breakfast area with a huge selection of foods. It was so roomy and spacious that hotels in other locales like the coast could only dream of having that much space! The breakfast staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. A lady by the name of Ladine went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure my family was comfortable and cared for. The only other time I can recall having that kind of excellent service was at a hotel during our stay near Houston, TX. She was marvelous! The staff get points when they receive a good review; Ladine could lead a seminar on customer service or be the face in a "how-to" video. One other detail that I could appreciate was the putting green in the middle of the hotel. You could tell this hotel's management know their clientele in a golf-rich area like Roseville. Well done! Cons: We checked in in the afternoon hours, and the younger gentleman who was working the front desk area was not at all friendly, and even more insulting was that not only did he not acknowledge that we are BW platinum level members, he made no attempt to thank us for our loyalty to their brand. A sign on the counter acknowledging BW members is not enough. Also disappointing was the parking. We struggled to find a parking spot whenever we returned in the evening hours. We were usually back from our outings at a very decent hour, only to find that we had to park a great distance from our hotel side entrance. When you're managing 3 kids like we do, parking in a dark parking lot nowhere near your hotel entrance is not helpful. I also felt the rooms were a little on the small side and offered few amenities. Other than a few glitches, I highly recommend this hotel to those staying in the Sacramento area!
We stay here every year, the rooms have really nice decor, all the amenities. Beds are comfortable, extra pillows on each bed. Full hot breakfast was excellent! Nice atmosphere and great employees. Price was great too!
The staff was extremely helpful to everyone in our group as well as the fire victims of the Camp Fire. It seemed everyone was equally important even though in my humble opinion, the fire victims should have been assisted more by the state and local government. The staff of Best Western stepped in and took these people in and tried to comfort everyone of them as best as possible. This is the type of caring you do not see in everyday business anymore. Great job the Best Western family and the entire staff of this hotel.
We were visiting our son and grand children in Paradise, CA on Nov 8th the day of the tragic Camp Fire and evacuated with our son in a lead vehicle who had 5 children and 2 dogs in a Chevy Suburban running on gas fumes which by the grace of God made it out of town through the fires flames. We booked rooms here for 2 nights after evacuating and I can only say we were treated great and comforted with clean rooms and fantastic amenities along with a bountiful breakfast meal. All management staff were welcoming and friendly. We felt blessed we found BW Orchid Hotel and Suites in Roseville as our first stop after fleeing the Camp Fire disaster.
I was only going up and back in one day to see my daughter in Grass Valley. When I left her at 8pm I thought I could drive home without a problem. I was so wrong! I was getting tired and I knew I had better stop and not try to continue towards home. I did come prepared to stay the night, but I had decided not to. But I was so tired with the driving up and trying to come back home. So I pulled off the freeway and looked for a hotel. I saw a Best Western and said "this is it!", I pulled into the driveway and went into the lobby. The staff were very sweet to me. I also got a great deal on a king suite! I had a nice stay and left the next morning without any problems. Thank you Best Western! I will tell everyone how nice it was at this hotel!
Everyone who worked there were very accommodating! They went above and beyond to help our sports team with what they needed. They let us arrive early and also check out later. If Were the Sacramento area we will be back to stay again!
Great bed, check in and out. Breakfast buffet compares if not exceeds costlier properties, folks seemed caring and liked us...........it was a perfect compliment to a golf weekend. Best bang for the buck I have experienced in a long time. We will come back there next fall or summer. There were 28 of us.
I was here on business, and by the time I got to the hotel I was exhausted. Checking in was a breeze, and the room could not have been better. The location was a big bonus too! It was close to several restaurants, and shopping options. I asked for recommendations for a place to eat, and Kristen at the Front Desk gave me several options, all within walking distance of the hotel. I loved the sprawling nature of the property and the 2 courtyards (one with the pool, the other with tables and umbrellas.
Very clean and friendly place to stay. I thought I book the room for Saturday night when we arrived @ the hotel , come to find out I made a mistake and booked it for Sunday night? Wow. The front desk told me to wait and he made a phone call and then told me that he can help and sell me a room, what a break I just got you see ALL the hotels in the area where full. The room was great and the breakfast was just as great. When in the area again I will choose this hotel once again to stay.
Our first time at this hotel and we will be staying here again. We visit Roseville 3-4 times a year and this place is centrally located to the area we spend most our time in. The breakfast was exceptional with a choice of scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal, cereals, toast, bagels, pancakes, fruit, and yogurt. We missed the free wine and beer cocktail time because it was a Sunday evening, but saw where they host it. Besides a pool area they have an area to socialize with two BBQs set up. In the morning we had two newspapers the USA Today and Sacramento Bee both complimentary.
Very courtesy and friendly staff,That;s behind the counter wait till you meet the staff for Breakfast.Breakfast staff very friendly and helpful...10 out 10 Great Service.... Best western Plus Orchid hotel inn & Suites best hotel ever!!!!
Being handicapped makes it important to me to have a friendly and helpful staff on hand. This hotel's staff will go out of their way to help you unload your vehicle and get to your room with a minimum of hassle.
We spent two nights here while visiting family in the area. The hotel offered a sort breakfast each morning and drinks in the lounge at night. We never were able to take advantage of the drinks, but loved the wide variety of offerings at breakfast. We thought the rooms were great, too - comfortable King bed, great bedding, and a super clean bathroom. To me, that makes for a perfect stay.
This was good value for the money and the 2 bed semi-private room was nice for some privacy between bed areas. Challenging for mobility issues. Breakfast was very nice. Staff at breakfast was very helpful.
I came with my family for a job interview. Arrived 1:30 pm, the front disc agent (carol) requested that we come back 3 PM. I informed her we drove 4-5 hours and kids are really tired. She refused. We did not like her attitude at all. I am loyal customer to best western and she was nothing like best western. When we returned 3 hours later, Tommy at the front disc was the opposite. He was very friendly, helpful, and apologized for the rude attitude we had in the morning. My piece of advice, if you see Carol at the front disc,, simple run or find some where else to stay.
Older hotel, for as large as it is they keep it clean they have the best breakfasts, very friendly kitchen staff.doors to outside need to be kept locked or maybe fixed,Location was good, cleaning staff man helped to clean my windshield after someone spit bubble gum on my windshield.
It was my third times to stay at Best Western Plus Orchid Hotels & Suites in Roseville. Great access to north-east, east and sought-east of Sacramento with wonderful hotel services from check-in to check-out. it's awesome for businessmen/women, family and leisure.
This is our third stay and we love it. We usually stay for 10/ 11 nights each time. Housekeeping is always done, there's always plenty complimentary breakfast. Rooms are so quiet and the place feels safe. Really need to say Carol and the rest of the reception staff (did not write their names down, but we met every member of reception staff) and all the long termers remember us from last year. They always make us feel welcome. Even farewell hugs! Couldn't ask for a better reception team: thank you so much for making our stay feel special. See you again on our next trip from the UK to Roseville
Staff is undeniably EXCELLENT, very accomodating and friendly. We stayed on a Friday night and the hotel was very quiet, got a good nights sleep. We were in Roseville on business, very happy we made the choice to stay at this Best Western.
I stay at this hotel each month for a class I teach. Most of the staff is extremely friendly and will go above and beyond to make sure that you, the customer, are satisfied and well taken care of. The rooms are always clean. The hotel is respectable looking. Breakfast has a good selection of items and is maintained very well. I enjoy all of my stays here.
Stayed a couple of days for a business meeting. The hotel was awesome along with being in a great location. Room was neat and clean, Service was excellent (Front Counter, housekeeping and breakfast staff) even the weather cooperated!
This Best western was truly a disappointment.I have Stayed at many Best Western and have ha very pleasant stays.First male desk clerk Brodered on being rude .Louge server was rude.Could not believe the shampoos, conditioners and body wash. Less tha 1/2 an ounce.I am handicapped.Ask for a ride to restaurant two blocks away. New Van sitting be door. Told that was only for contract guest.even if I was paying more for my room than the contract guest. Same rude desk Clerk.
The hotel is nice on the inside, I love the double beds plus sofa bed in the sitting room. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, and fresh, and with each stay you get 2 free drinks a night. The rooms are very clean on arrival. However, house keeping isn't good, because they skipped my room when it was time for cleaning.
Rented 2 Dbl bed rooms for the weekend to take my family to the waterpark near by. I forgot the folder with the printed tickets so thought no problem I'd use the business center to reprint them. I've stayed at many BW's and used their business centers for work, there's was a joke. All but 1 computer was broken, the 1 that worked barely did, but the printer did not. Reported the broken computers and printer issue to the front desk clerk for help but she acted like ya they've been broken for awhile. I explained I needed her to print something for me and the clerk had an attitude that i was asking her to go above and beyond her duties. Free Breakfast- Day 1, Saturday, breakfast was OK and went until about 10:30, Day 2 it was slim pickins a half hour before it would be over and the person who was running it didn't want to trouble herself to make more food, annoying but not the end of the world. Rooms were average, beds were too. If its your only option it will do but I wouldn't stay again or recommend to friends.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Very close to a lot of retail and restaurants which made things really convenient, especially when i travel for work. Good variety of food for breakfast and the room was kept very clean.
Wonderful hotel! Clean and very friendly staff. Check in was very easy. We enjoyed warm cookies in the afternoon and a great breakfast the next morning. Our room was large, with a nice sitting area. Bathroom had a jacuzzi tub that was wonderful after a full day. We will definitely stay again.
As long as you don't deal with Yolanda your stay is fun and relaxing. Great hot breakfast, a bar and comfortable seats out side. Beautiful rooms with newly designed restroom. At least room 115 was. Nice atmosphere
I would never recommend this hotel (feels like a motel) to anyone. We stayed here with our young children and they were kept up until nearly midnight with people loudly partying in the courtyard. At 1030 I called the desk to ask what time the pool closed and they said they were working on shutting it down. It took until nearly 12 for them to get people out of there. Then we were woken up around 6 by people loudly leaving. The walls are paper thin- we came here after tenting for a week and were so excited to a great nights sleep. I would honestly rather stay in a tent any day then this place. Doesn't live up to best western standards at all.
Nice pet friendly hotel in Roseville. Pet fee is $25 a night and parking is free. Nice guest laundry and pool. Lots of grassy areas for exercising your pet. Breakfast was good and not your normal breakfast food. Cocktail hour in evening is nice with great seating area outside. Room was large with separate sitting area. Room 208 was very nice and reasonably priced. Kristen was very nice at check in and helpful throughout our visit.
The junior high group that I lead comes and stays at this hotel every year as the accommodations for their summer camp experience. The staff this year was EXCEPTIONAL. Julie, Carol, Tommy, and Yolanda are EXCEPTIONAL at hospitality and amazing with kids and big groups. They did a fantastic job and cannot recommend them enough. Thank you for an awesome stay.
Came on a hot day and the air conditioner was on . The place was cool and clean with a bathroom/vanity area separating between the two queen beds. A little loud near the the windows because the building in near the highway and the place ran out of ice in the evening. Breakfast had cut fruit, bananas, sausage one day and bacon the next. Freshly made waffles, eggs and country potatoes and of course yogurt, cereal, assorted fruit drinks, milk and coffee.
Clean room in appearance and staff was very friendly except one. Very decent breakfast and a great manager. Two issues arose and management and maintenance took care of things right away. Pool area is also very nice.
This location is a bit noisy (next to freeway) but also convenient (for the same reason.) We were able to easily visit different relatives on the same visit. Room was comfortable and well sized; we like having the sink outside of the shower room, and the configuration was interesting (two queens, separated by the bathroom) we expect to stay there again.
This is a remodeled BWPlus. Its fairly comfortable and well-maintained. The only issue is noise. They appear to keep the hotel full by offering deep discounts, so you'll likely have neighbors. Some of the neighbors are not aware that they are not in their own homes. The worst two nights of sleep I've had in a long time. Count on noise until 10PM, then its dependent on where you are in the hotel. A little policy enforcement would make the difference between a 2 star and 5 star rating.
We have stayed here on multiple occasions for children sports trips. The bed quality depends on the room, have had good beds and have also had horrible beds as well. The pool is great only draw is that it closes at 10pm. The morning meal is the typical hot meal. Perfect for what we need each morning. Great location for meals at all times of the day
This is our second stay at this hotel in the past year. I wondered if our first excellent experience was just a fluke. Our only concern last visit was a family of children (or young elephants) above us. This trip we asked for a top floor room. Not only were we accommodated...we were upgraded AND given a welcome package. We were treated with warmth and respect by all hotel employees from checking in to checking out. We will absolutely be staying here again.
There is absolutely NOTHING negative that I can say about this hotel! From the moment we checked in to the day we checked out our stay was absolutely wonderful. I have stayed in a few hotels now since regularly visiting the states from Australia and this hotel is by far the best I have stayed at in the USA. Our stay was a period of 4 nights. Room: We stayed in a 2king 2TV Suite with sofa bed (The room splits away so you can close the door and have a moment of silence away from the kids lol) and it was such a luxurious room to stay in. beds are super comfy, 2 bathrooms were lovely and the water pressure was GREAT! Breakfast gets 5 stars from us! Pool: Absolute bonus for the kids, Spa amazing and relaxing. To name a couple the staff members that helped make our stay great Julia - Thankyou for making our check in a breeze Kirsten - You were a pleasure deal with and nothing was too hard for you to help us. Carol - Thankyou for assisting me with an easy checkout and my next booking Lindsay- Thankyou for assisting me in getting the best rate as a loyal customer. Thankyou again guys. you are all wonderful and we cant wait to return.
We checked in this hotel for two nights. The refrigerator had a leak and the bathroom faucet would not close. We later found bugs in the bathroom. Maintenance fixed the first two problems. On the second day we left the room at 10:15 a.m. and returned at 8:30 p.m. Our room was not touched! When I called, the front desk person said I could come down for new towels! When I asked her about the garbage, she said a maintenance person would come over. When I checked out, the manager refused to adjust my bill since it was booked through a third party. This has now been resolved and I received a 50% reduction on my second night's rate. This hotel is old and showing its age. I have stayed in other BW Plus hotels that have been far superior. The hotel should remove the "plus" or upgrade to this level.
We were in the area for a softball tournament and this hotel offered a suite with 2 king beds which was perfect for our family. This is a very interesting design with one part of the hotel having the older outdoor access to rooms and the other part having the indoor hall access. Where the old oak tree once stood there is a very nice outdoor patio but without the tree there is not a lot of shade. The pool is small but functional. For a hotel like this the breakfast was very good with multiple hot and cold choices. Hot waffles are always a choice of active softball players. The staff was very friendly and helpful when there were questions. While older it is quite functional and reasonably well kept.
The price per night is a little high (around$100) for the property. It's old with an old motel type pool. Out door entrance to the rooms can get loud when the maids roll their cleaning carts early in the morning. The breakfast buffet is decent. Fake scrambled eggs, or cold boiled eggs, bacon and hash browns, waffle maker and fruit. Free newspapers and coffee all day in the lobby. I would recommend it as a really good 2 1/2 hotel.
The rooms were small and musty smelling. The hotel is older. The staff is kind. They did not inform guests the pool was closed for painting, and stairs shut off due to painting. the hot tub was not working properly, and we didn't think they really cared much about their guests. We believed they should have been upfront with heir guests when checking in about the conditions. The breakfast was adequate. A lot of homeless in the trash dumpsters out back all day and night. Poor security. Our gas cap was opened, but locked so they didn't get any gas. Would not stay there again, nor recommend. Pet friendly, though, might be a reason to stay there.
We stayed in Roseville while visiting Grass Valley / Nevada City and also relatives in Reno, prior to our next stop to the west. The location was great. We had an upgraded room in their executive building which was quite large and comfortable. Despite being close to the main highway, the room was quiet enough for a good night's sleep. The breakfast was great and we would stay here again.
A convenient, clean, nice place to spend a night. Though I did not swim, they have a nice pool and hot spa. The rooms provide the comforts of home. A comfortable bed, clean room, and far enough from freeway noise. Like many motels that boast a “hot” breakfast, this best western facility does a nice job. Oatmeal, scrambled eggs, sausage, and fresh fruit. A nice job best western. Much nicer than the average place, and I have stayed many places.
the staff will go out of their way to help you and make sure you have what you need. I strongly suggest this hotel for pet friendly and helpfully for handicapped. I stay here often and will always do so with the current staff.
Love the breakfast they offer waffles with strawberries or blueberries unlike the oatmeal bar and all the different types of rooms they offer. They even have spas in a few of the rooms.I like late check out.
miss that giant tree they had in the courtyard, but it's a good place. happy hour is nice too. why do I need a 200 character minimum? typing to take up space here, don't have that much to report on...
I traveled with my teenage daughter and her two classmates to a competition in nearby Rocklin. I really liked that the double room we booked basically felt like two small rooms separated by the bathroom and it had 2 Tv,s. It was great to feel like we had a bit of privacy but still the same room. Very easy to get around from this location ,to the competition, mall, restaurants. The staff was very friendly.
The staff was very nice, and breakfasts were complimentary and a good value. There were no USB ports in the room and luckily the front desk staff leant me theirs for the evening, Thank goodness for that! OK the Lounge is really odd as its basically a converted room, and the one guy that must live there needs to NOT stand at the end of the bar facing the entry door in. Kind of makes it look like your entering his private bar. The bartender was nice, but this lounge is NOT welcoming or comfortable
We stayed for 6 days in the hotel and the room size is good and the rooms are clean. The staff and reception is friendly and supportive. The hotel has an Swimmingpool and laundry facilities available. The hotel has decent parking space available. Lots of restaurants in the area.
Very enjoyable stay. Rooms that are not suites on the small side but great if you are not plasnning a lot of time in the room. The pool area was very nice as well as the large deck to relax on. Breakfast was one of the best.
My wife and I were at this hotel for my wife's weekend soccer tournament. The hotel is located quite close to the fields. Given the included breakfast, we chose this hotel for the location and overall value. The breakfast exceeded expectations and the kitchen staff were efficient and cheerful. The hotel building is a bit dated and within the hallways it appeared somewhat tired. However, the room was reasonably updated and was quite comfortable. While there is no smoking allowed on the grounds, someone was smoking in the hallway adjacent to our room and at the pool. Other than that and the somewhat thin walls (you can hear people talking next door), we were very satisfied with the facility. The included hot breakfast and two drinks per room during happy hour help make this facility a good value. The location is very convenient to Hwy 80 and yet we did not hear any highway noise. We also found a great casual place to eat dinner only 5 minutes away by car (Brodericks). We would stay at this hotel again.
Rooms are clean and spacious. Amenities are amazing. But the staff makes this the best hotel I've been to. Lindsey and her staff are the best. Yolonda, Carol, Derek, Tommy & Jessika are not only great at their jobs, they are amazing people who care about guests. The maintaince, housekeeping and security staff are top notch as well. Highly recommend this establishment.
Our friends who live in the area recommended this hotel. They are getting married in June and some of their family members will be staying here. I have stayed at a few Best Westerns around the country, but the Best Western Plus Orchid Hotel & Suites was by far the BEST! We drove up from San Francisco. There was a ton of traffic! It took 3 hours. We arrived at the hotel around 1:30 and asked if we could have early check in. The front desk said the room was not available. We said no problem, can we enjoy the pool. They said absolutely and gave us some towels. 10 min later a Carolyn at the front desk flagged me down and said she had our room available. She was so kind. She signed us up for a Best Western Rewards membership and gave us a little goodie bag with waters and snacks to enjoy at the pool. We hung out at the pool for a few hours, then left to meet our friends. We didn't get to enjoy happy hour at the lounge, but our room was super comfy and the was breakfast and hot coffee waiting in the morning. We were impressed with the breakfast. Everything looked clean and fresh. This will definitely be our hotel of choice when we come to Roseville.
I really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was good and i enjoyed the Jacuzzi in our room. There is a lot of stores and shops nearby that was very helpful. The only thing that i didn't like was we couldn't get a early check in and we had to wait until check in time
Room was sufficient. Bed felt old. Room was clean. Stuffy, made me think they allowed smoking. Easily heard snoring in room next door. Avoid room near the hot tub. Sounded like they were right outside the door. Staff was great. Cocktail hour was great. Breakfast was pretty good. Easy and fast check-in. No hassle check-out.
The hotel was sketchy durning night and smelt like weed. There were people screaming all night and I didn't feel that safe. The rooms didn't seem that clean and the couch was very dirty. I would not recommend it at all for kids and families, or even if your by yourself.
When you walked into the room it was cute, but had an odor. Then when we started to get settled we noticed that the couch was full of stains and the then we lifted the comforter and the sheets were stained also. Then the toilet was clogging after each flush. However, the most annoying thing was that the room was constantly losing hot water so we were taking cold showers our whole trip. We had a few family members staying throughout the hotel and they were also having the same issue, so it wouldn't have helped to change rooms. After the third time of calling the front desk about the water the hotel employee admitted that the pilot light goes out often. So if you want to spend $140 a night, do yourself a favor, go to a hotel that is clean and doesn't have water issues that you have to call the front desk over and over again throughout your trip.
For the age of the building, this was a very acceptable place to stay. It doesn't look great on the outside but the rooms were clean and decently sized. We had a room on the third level and while there are elevators, there are also outdoor stairs. It did take a fair amount of walking so people with mobility issues should know that the layout is fairly wide but with the elevators, it is all flat. The room had a microwave that worked well but was actually too small for a standard sized bag of microwave popcorn to inflate properly. There was a refrigerator hidden in the cabinet below the TV, decent selection of channels on, and the heat and AC unit worked fine. There is a pool onsite and a gift shop that sells quick foods (pot noodle and burritos, chips) and sodas (and had ginger ale, which is one of the only things I know that helps an upset stomach or travel queasiness). The shop is open 24 hours. The staff was friendly and helpful. They serve continental breakfasts from 6-10 on weekends and from 6-9 am on weekdays. The offerings when we were there included sausage, scrambled eggs, coffee, four juices, bready things like toast, pastries and waffles you make yourself. There were hashbrowns and yogurt (only in two flavors, though; strawberry or strawberry banana). Coffee is also available in the lobby at all hours so if you're checking out (11am like most places) before the breakfast room is open, there is still coffee to be had. The only real problems we had was that the plug by the coffee maker did not work. Even resetting the CGFI switch, it didn't power so the coffee maker wouldn't work. The only other outlets in our room were on the floor in the sleeping area and one under the table was very very loose. I know because we actually bought a nightlight and tried to put it there: because the room curtains are blackout curtains, the room became pitch black at night (good thing but.) However for bathroom runs, that meant you couldn't see a thing so we generally leave the bathroom light on in a hotel and close the door nearly shut so it only provides the smallest bit of illumination. We couldn't' do that here because the bathroom is separated from the main room by a sliding pocket door. Anyone who's lived with these knows that they are seriously noisy and wake up anyone else in the room every time you move it. Sadly, the outlet under the desk was too loose to put the nightlight in—it just fell out so we ended up using the stupid pocket door anyway. The beds were good, not too soft or too hard and not saggy. Pillows were a little thicker than we prefer and seemed like all four you got were the exact same. They were filled with cubes of foam so not terrible but quite high. Everything smelled and looked clean. The remote control for the TV came in a bag marked “Fresh Remote” which is lovely if that's true. It looked new so it probably was. We had no immediate neighbors on the first night and it was quiet enough once the kids were done in the pool. The second night we did have neighbors who were up until around 2 am they were audible but distantly, not right in the room audible like some hotels. Overall, I would recommend this place to people staying in the Roseville area. Just across the freeway there is a shopping area with a drug store and a Trader Joe's grocery among other things. Right next door is a rather dodgy-looking mini mart. It's right off the freeway entrances so very easy to get to and from.
I stay here frequently and love this place. The staff and hotel are great. Tommy, Kristen, Jessica, Carol, Patel, Derek and Yolanda check us in and out and are always very polite and professional. Lindsey pops out from the office on occasion to welcome us to the hotel. What a great staff. Always fast, easy in and out. Ladine and her crew, Sandy, Leahna, Robin and Lisa have the breakfast area clean and stocked. They are always very friendly and upbeat. Carmen has the lounge jumping-great music and friendly, professional service. Grace keeps the hotel staff on their toes and Yenny always has a smile and is always busy! Paul keeps the hotel secure and quiet. Hector, Javier and Marco drive us to and from the rail yard and are always professional and friendly! Great rooms and the location is perfect!
-Internet was running slow which wasn't enough for streaming. -Seemed like the lobby got more TV channels than the room did. Slow to change channels on TV while in room. -Jetted tub not working and could not be fixed. To be fair, didn't find out about the tub not working until day of checkout. Had I tried out the tub immediately upon check in, probably could have gotten switched to another room.
This will be our first choice from now on when we visit family in the area! We were in rooms with 2 Queen beds separated by the bathroom. Great design allowing for some degree of privacy. We had grandchildren in one side with their own tv. So much more comfortable with more space than you typically have with 2 queen beds. Breakfast was delicious with many choices sure to please everyone. Pool and Jacuzzi area is in a courtyard setting with an additional very large deck and seating area in another courtyard. Convenient to I-80 and area attractions. Excellent value for the price!
very friendly and knowledgeable staff, nice pool, above average breakfast, but bathroom was weird, no privacy for toilet, nit picking, but will stay here again, rates very fair for AAA, greeted as club member immediately, a model for others
The rooms are nice although dated. Comfortable bed. Problem was very noisy air conditioner. Had to turn it OFF. Also very noisy exhaust fan in bathroom that goes on with the light (so you can't avoid it). Location and facility are good and parking is great. Hot breakfast was excellent. WIFI was very good throughout the facility.
This hotel is exceptional. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast had a great selection. The evening reception is a great bonus. The employees were kind and helpful. If we return to Roseville we will definitely stay here again.
Very clean, great breakfast and friendly staff. Check in/out was easy. Had a lack of parking when we were there since hotel was full and they had a lot of commercial vehicles. Good value for the area. We would stay there again if passing through.
We love this hotel. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is great. We will be staying at this hotel often to visit our son, daughter in law and first grandchild. The location is fantastic with everything we need close by.
My wife and I had to stay overnight because of operation for family member which was early next morning. Hotel staff was very helpful and considerate. Rooms were clean and serviceable. Location next to freeway easy access.
Just a couple little easy things needed some attention... bath tub drained extremely slow. Coffee pot was not useable due to past persons use, asked for a replacement and never recieved it. Shirt was left in the dresser from past person that stayed in the room. Dresser drawers would not stay shut at all.
The staff there is extremely friendly and we enjoyed the view of the pool area that we had. Our rooms were clean and everything was up to standards. The beds could've been a little softer, but for the most part they were great from compared to some of the other hotels we've been ou The staff there is extremely friendly and we enjoyed the view of the pool area that we had. I stayed at this “hotel” twice in one week. 1/11/18 & 1/14/18. I used a bidding site, filtering to a 3 star hotel in the Roseville/Rocklin area. First let me say this is NOT a 3 Star hotel, at least not the part of the motel my room was located. There is one small building, right on the freeway, that would classify, in my opinion, as a hotel. It has closed halls and appears recently updated. The part of the motel that I was put in has open hallways and is small and old. Transients were loitering in the back parking lot and there appeared to be residents living in some of the older rooms. While they have put updated furnishings in the rooms, it is just lipstick on a pig. My first stay was ok. When a suitcase is rolled along the open halls, it sounds like a jet engine which makes for a noisy stay. The room was very small with new furnishings that were too large for the space, making getting around difficult. The staff on this visit were accommodating and friendly. My second stay the room was larger and appeared more recently updated. It was located just outside the indoor halls, but still outside. Quieter, but I believe that was because of our location, most rooms outside will be noisy. Both rooms had showers that didn't drain, which is gross, but rooms looked clean. The staff on my second visit was rude and not accommodating at all. Despite having numerous open double rooms, he refused to change us to one, because our reservation was made through a 3rd party site. I was traveling with my adult son and needed two beds. No manager was made available to speak with. My first visit, I requested a double room and the change was made with a friendly response and no issues. On the second visit, I had to call the 3rd party site to have this change made and it cost me an additional $5 made payable to the hotel, however this was not offered to me upon my request for a double room (I would have happily paid it and not felt the customer service was poor). I travel bi-monthly to monthly to this area and use bidding sites almost exclusively to book my hotels, however if this is what they classify as comparable to a Hilton Garden, Courtyard or Hyatt Place, they are mistaken. Additionally, I have not come across this sort of poor service at any of the other hotel chains in this area. The Comfort Inn in Rocklin is also a older facility that was recently updated, however is much nicer than Orchid Suites, but it classified as 2 1/2 stars on some booking sites.... go figure. This hotel may have received a higher rating from me despite not being representative of a 3 Star hotel, however the poor service from Derek was unacceptable. If you read reviews, look at the manager response on some sites. Her argumentative tone with guest reviews shows an unapologetic approach to her style of customer service and I will bet this facility will drop in satisfaction and stars over the coming year. I will never stay here again.
Most recent stay there I had a double suite. Bathroom fan spun, but never moved any air, so stayed humid, couple other issues, BUT. I've stayed there in the past and had amazing rooms! They have a good breakfast, a free shuttle to Thunder Valley, a reception area with drinks and snacks (for adults). If your coming to the area to visit Sunsplash, they've had discount tickets in the past, and are only a couple blocks from there. They have onsite security in the parking lot, a nice hot tub and pool. Like the title says, would definitely recommend this place. Can't be beat for the price.
Clean rooms and fantastic hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, cereals, juices, biscuits, gravy, etc. Fast check-in and check-out. Oddly placed bar/lounge area but not inconvenient. Would definitely stay again.
The obvious large sticky area between the beds spoiled the overall experience. After stepping on it a few times I resorted to placing a wash cloth on the spot. A door to the toilet and shower area would have made the sink accessible while another person was taking care of personal business. The beds were comfortable and the flat screen Television had a large screen.
great customer service at check in and check out was great. love this hotel will be back. room was clean and breakfast was good .it was a very nice stay like I said I will be back again.thank- you best western orchid hotel ....
This hotel is one of the best Western Hotels that I highly recommend to the travelers. Roseville is a very nice and cozy town. Close to Old Sacramento and shopping. This hotel is very clean and quiet. Excellent overall.
We have stayed here once before. Although it is an older style hotel with walkways by all rooms. There didn't seem to be a noise problem at all. The room was comfortable. We had one with a sleeper sofa and like most sleeper sofas it was not great but doable. The beds were comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My daughter said the breakfast had a lot of good choices. I did not check it out but trust her opinion. I will stay here again if I am in the area.
I have recently spent time at several Best Western operations in Florida While staff was pleasant at all locations, none seem to show the kind of excellence that you will always experience at the Best Western on Sunrise in Roseville, CA. The manager Lindsey demands the best efforts of all staff. The housekeeping staff seems to take pride in the great job that they do every day of the year. They also serve the best breakfast I have seen so far. The grounds are well kept and all staff seem to want to help with the needs of the guests. Keep up the good work Sunrise, Roseville!!
Clean , nice everything worked well. Up dated furnishings. One of the best I stayed at this year. I am not one to take the time to post about matters but my stay here was totally so good I just feel they need to be acknowledged
This Best Western Plus was not a plus. The front door lock was broken, the room smelled of Pot smoke. The breakfast was rubbery eggs and not fully cooked potatoes. The coffee was good however. I will avoid this motel in the future.
Good value at this price point. Easy reservations, easy check in, easy check out. I really liked the cookies at check in, makes it more memorable. They also had a very nice breakfast selection, better than most other best westerns!
My stay in this hotel was very comfortable, me and my family really enjoyed our stay here. And definitely will go back again and without hesitate will recommend to everyone. Rooms are nice, clean and cozy,. Overall is good!
This hotel is our "go to" when visiting friends/relatives in Roseville. We are never disappointed by the service or quality of the premises. The staff is very friendly & helpful. The breakfast is scrumptious and lots of variety. The rooms are clean and well stocked. My only concern is the outer "security" doors from the parking lot -- when someone puts a rock or something in the door to keep it from closing properly, there is no alert that goes to the front desk, thereby rendering the "security" null & void.
Room was nice. Overall feel of hotel it was that it is used for GR families to stay at. Kids running all over the place, no way I could even grab anything small for breakfast, people drinking beer by the pool and Jacuzzi (in November) until late at night. I won't be back. Room was nice but I didn't like it at all, dirty around elevators.
Will never stay here again. Poor front desk staff, terrible room noise. While location and access to I - 80 was convenient, the overall experience took away from the celebration with family we had made the trip for.
What a great place!! I booked the hotel mainly for location and price, but it turned out to be a much better value than I expected. The staff was VERY friendly, courteous and helpful with any questions about where we were going, etc. The room was great. The breakfast was outstanding!! And the staff for the breakfast were very nice! We will stay here again.
A very good value hotel, which is located close to Sacramento, but not downtown. Very easy access both to and from I-5. Hotel provides good room, good breakfast, and is within easy walking distance of some very good restaurants for dinner.
The biggest problem was the very first night we awoke to a drunk man yelling obscenities outside our door at 1am. This really scared me because we have two small children and we felt very vulnerable being a good distance from the office. It took about an hour for the yelling to stop and we heard other people come out of their rooms but it just made us feel like we were not in a safe hotel and reminded us of staying at a Motel 6 that also had low income housing (that happened another time). When I complained to reception in the morning, they didn't seem alarmed by this and told me there was 24 hour security but I still didn't feel super safe. We were expecting an indoor hotel and didn't realize our room would open up into an outdoor courtyard where sounds echoed. I got the room off of Priceline where it was advertised as 3.5 stars and overall the hotel just didn't meet my expectations. The breakfast food was good though and the room itself was decent size. But the door didn't close tightly and the exit doors were often propped open so it seemed like anyone could have entered the hotel grounds.
We use this particular Best Western for our personal business travel and we use for our employees when needed. They are always very friendly and service is great! The staff always makes us feel welcome. We have never been disappointed.
We drove to the hotel via Jack Tone Road and Clay Station Road. The route was beautiful until we reached Sunrise Boulevard and went through about 10 miles of traffic jams and signals in the outskirts of Sacramento. The hotel itself, although near the freeway, was not in an excellent position. The hotel was quite well maintained, but it simply was not a welcoming building. Like all Best Westerns, the food/drink breakfast was very good. There were several choices of food, and it was good quality. If you are in Roseville, go to this hotel. Otherwise, the Best Western Golden Key is better.
We spent a night at Orchid Hotel & Suites while passing through town. I was so very impressed with the comfort and cleanliness of our room. It is rare that I don't find something lacking in the housekeeping department but this was an exception...I even ran my finger over the window sill and it came up clean. We took advantage of their free breakfast...the best free one we have ever had at a hotel. There was a child stomping in the room above us, so I will definitely book a top floor room when we stay there again.
Came to Sacramento for a Dog Nose Work Trial. We travel with a Dalmatian always and often. This was a wonderful stay. Plenty of room and places to walk dog. Many good places to eat near by. Free Breakfast was the best we have ever had. Only draw back... my "apple" computer had a bad time loading. My husbands PC did not. Will be back.
Rooms need to be cleaned correctly and not superficial cleaning. One room was asked for changes in sheets, other room requested quite room not in front of pool area. both rooms had musty odor to them, beds can be better and better pillows.
A boring beginning....but that is what this hotel is. Shower ran hot and cold when someone in adjoining rooms......did what? Flush? Turn faucet on? It was a surprise both hot and cold. Rooms are very small. If someone is standing in front of the closet, you can't get into the restroom. However, it was clean and served its purpose for a one night business trip. Sheets and pillow cases were stained and bed a bit lumpy. This isn't where you want to stay while you vacation in Sacramento. One night is enough. But would serve that purpose.
I stay here often. The rooms are always clean, the location is Great. The staff is Awesome.Great places in walking distance to eat at.Mandangos is where I like to go to get a Great Happy Hour Drink and Eats. I always take pizza home for my wife,it's Great!!Try out the Orchid. They even have jacuzzi rooms.
We stay at this location 4-5 times a year as it convenient when we visit our family. Some of the handicapped accessible rooms are very far from the breakfast room. The entry from the street is somewhat confusing because of the signage for a car rental agency that uses the same entrance.
We were in town for a Luke Bryan concert. Our friends also stayed at the hotel upon our recommendation. They were pleasantly surprised by how nice the place was and with three kids in tow they were grateful for the complimentary breakfast.
This property has rooms with two queen sized beds with a wall between them and each have flat screen t.v.s It's great, we can watch a movie while the other person can read or go to sleep. The restaurants around this area are all great. It's close to highway 80 and great shopping too.
From the friendly, well organized staff and chocolate chip cookies and goodie bag we received at check-in, to the free drink coupons and nachos in the evening and the super deluxe breakfast included the next morning, this place had us covered. The room was very clean, they have a nice exercise room open 24 hours, pool and hot tub, and a deck area complete with Bar-B-Qs. Great location and well lit parking. We will be back!
We stayed at this hotel while attending a soccer tournament. It was an older hotel with very small rooms. However, everything was very clean and room rates were very reasonable for value received. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. I would stay here again.
This is a Best Western Plus Hotel. The staff was very friendly, the facility is very clean and the beds are very comfortable. The serve a full breakfast with many things to choose from. There is always coffee and Cold ice water in the lobby plus fresh baked cookies. Easy access to freeways and shopping and restaurants close by. Do not however, rely on their Shuttle Service. We were left stranded.
Staff were courteous and super friendly, Rooms are a little dated. The bar is a rather sad space in need of refurbishment but adequate. For us the location was perfect. The pool was clean and well maintained and the breakfast area sufficient for purpose.
Seen reviews of others complaining about out dated rooms. The beds are comfy and clean. The guest staff Yolanda and carol are top notch. They make sure everything is perfect. I skip the lobby coffee first thing cause once Sandy shows up she makes sure the coffee is hot and strong. I'm an earlier bird riser. And that first pot of coffee from sandy is always worth the wait. Overall a great place to stay whether for business or for staying in town for family. Just wish they had bacon during the week
This was our first visit to Roseville and loved it. Checked out the Race Track for the Nascar K/N series great facility. Was very impressed with this hotel. Check in was quick and friendly, walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and a sports bar. A great breakfast, would stay here again
I am in Sacramento for business quarterly plus for at least two weeks every trip. The overall performance of this facility has caused me to utilize it for any company employees traveling to our headquarters here. Every one of them has expressed the same satisfaction that I have.
Came here for a family reunion and did not have high expectations but the hotel was pretty nice for an older hotel and the staff was great. Very friendly staff and they went above and beyond for everyone in our group. Good job BW.
I stay at many hotels and the staff at this hotel is the BEST. They will go out of their way to help you. I have NEVER stayed at a better hotel in all my years of traveling both for work and pleasure.
Hotel is older property, but very well maintained, room very clean and comfortable, great TV all though guide was wrong, internet worked well, breakfast was very good with nice selection, I would recommend this hotel. It's also easy off and on to freeway.
After having stayed at several excellent modern BW Plus hotels, this was a real let-down. It looked old and run-down in places. The room was extremely gloomy and noisy from the adjacent pool. The breakfast had quite a wide range of items, but even at the start of opening time many of the hot items were tepid and every time I tried the coffee in the lobby it was cold. All of this was only partly mitigated by a relatively low price for the room.
From the time we walked in we truly enjoyed this hotel. Our status of Diamond members was honored and we were given an upgrade. To our surprise, the upgrade was not just a nice room but a suite with separate living area to relax in. The suite was perfect. The bed was comfortable and the vanity area, not like a lot of hotels, was large enough for his and her toiletries. The breakfast area was very large and was kept very clean. There was both 2 waffle machines and 2 pancake machines plus plenty of scrambled eggs - yum yum ! The other breakfast items were well stocked. The staff was very helpful and attentive to our needs. The hotel also gave us a coupon for two free glasses of wine or beer in their lounge. The lounge was a nice place to enjoy a drink, have some orderves and watch a ball game. All in all, this hotel was an excellent place to relax after a hectic day on the 1-80 interstate. We will definitely stop there again should the occasion arise.
Stayed two nights here. Staff was friendly (especially in the lounge getting our free drinks). Breakfast was pretty typical, except that everything was well-stacked, and staff stayed on top of that well. The oak tree was gone, alas, but the deck was quite nice anyway. Since my wife and I sleep very different hours, having the sink outside the bathroom was a bit of a drawback. Our room was in the newer wing with an interior corridor and the stairwell and elevator can be stifling hot. Overall, though, I would no hesitation to stay here again.
Nice clean hotel. Right off I-80, nice safe part of town, close to shopping and stores. plenty of parking, well lit parking lot. Great Staff. Pet Friendly, they even accommodated me when they were "officially" out of pet rooms, didn't leave me hanging, really appreciated that.
This was an awesome hotel and staff. We would recommend coming back to this hotel again. The breakfast was amazing. Showers were nice and the water pressure was prefect. Thanks for an enjoyable weekend!
Over all very pleased. The only issue we had was that the iron has stopped working and soon we were delevered a working iron. The breakfast was good, good selection. We stayed in a corner room on the bottom floor so unfortunately we heard lots of noise: from people walking on the floor above us, people laughing/talking/souds of roling luggage.
The staff here were wonderful. Carol was outstanding as far as customer service goes. I travel for work all the time and have never had such a great experience. I would come back in a heartbeat. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
The carpet was so dirty that after a shower the bottom of my feet were black from walking around the room. We were only here because of proximity to the hospital and only used the room to sleep in shifts otherwise we would have tried to find a different hotel.
Dropped in at the last minute and the night employee found us a room and gave us a great rate. Its an older building but all was good and there is an IHOP close for breakfast. They do provide a breakfast service but we had to be out early.
Carol and Yolanda. That's sums up my review. Over the past 4 years I've been coming thru Sacramento and most places are exchangable. What sets this place apart is the service of the front desk, efficient and professional. For example, my wife and I arrived in town unexpectedly with a late night flight and needed a room to rest from the daytime heat.. Carol and Yolanda hustled to get a room cleaned early so we could get some badly needed sleep in on our grueling trip. It's service like this that sets places apart. btw: some rooms are old and need updating.
This is great place to stay if you are planning on visiting lake Folsom area/American River. Included breakfast is awesome. Rooms are nice and well maintained. Staff is very couteous and professional.
Although the hotel is quite a few years old, it has been regularly remodeled and maintained. Lots of room with new linens and a comfortable bed. The shower is more than you usually expect from a hotel. Breakfast includes hot items, waffles, scrambled eggs and sausage in addition to all the usual pastries, fruit and beverages. The breakfast ladies do a good job of restocking and keeping the serving area as well as the tables. All of the above makes for a good choice for a hotel stay. However, those items are eclipsed by the staff, in particular, Carol at the front desk. She was on her way out the door headed home when she saw me arrive. Recognizing me as a previous guest, she greeted me, turned around, led me inside and checked me in herself. I remain astounded; I have never had anything like that happen to me before at any hotel.
I greatly enjoyed my visit. The entire staff was very courteous and professional. Made sure that I had everything I needed. Definitely will be returning. Thanks guys until next time. Carol, Yolanda and James your the best!!!!
We enjoyed our stay very much. I love the way the rooms was set up with the bathroom between the two room. Very convenient location, close to lots of restaurants and activities. Very nice staff and an amazing shower head in the shower. I will be back if I need to be Roseville anytime
This hotel was generally not very clean. Remotes for both TVs did not work. They could not fix. No toilet paper, no Kleenex... walked the grounds with my pet... very dirty. Staff promised that they would refund me one nights fee... instead, they refunded me the dog fee and $20... was concerned about the quality of people staying at this hotel. Looked like they could rob you.. I didn't feel good about the place at all. Will not stay there again. Right next to the freeway
They made our visit very enjoyable! We came to visit family and we were very surprised at the quality and comfort we received. I would highly recommend this Best Western if you are staying in Nor-cal.
My Husband & I chose Orchid for the night of our wedding because of it's convenient location and the rooms looked great online. When we arrived Tommy was working the front desk and he was so sweet and very hospitable! As soon as we walked up to the counter he greeted us with a huge smile and a "Congratulations" before anything because we were still in our wedding attire. He definitely helped make a pleasant experience. Our room was located towards the back of the hotel. It was way roomier than we expected! It was the perfect choice for our wedding night!
I loved that they turned the air conditioner on for me and a light on. I slept SO GREAT. Black out curtains and a comfy bed lead to me never trying the breakfast. I wanted to but I slept in every morning. Jacuzzi tub was great. Lots and lots of hot hot water.
Nice pool to cool off in. Standard hotel/motel breakfast. Good that they offer yogurt cups. Comfortable bed. Carpet a bit dirty. Staff was helpful & courteous. Best price for the area. Easy access to freeway & not noisy.
Excellent experience. I have stayed at this hotel many times over the last five years. Rooms are quiet, clean and very comfortable. Complimentary breakfast is excellent. Location is close to many restaurants and easy access to I-80. I highly recommend this facility.
Excellent breakfast! The hotel is older and a little run down. The staff was great. They offer happy hour which was a big plus, When we stayed the hotel was totally booked and very noisy. The price was good and it had a nice pool.
Conveniently located near lots of shopping. Front desk staff were very pleasant. Pool, outdoor seating were nice. The hot breakfast was better then I expected. Probably the best part about the place. Two free drinks from the bar when I arrived was a nice surprise.
This Best Western serves a really nice, breakfast. They had ham steaks, never seen that at a hotel breakfast! Great staff that was very helpful and went above and beyond during our 6-night stay. Ladine in the breakfast crew was busy cooking up hash browns and still managed to greet us and joke with our group. She was genuinely interested in our stay and asked us (even our kids) several l times if she could do anything for us. KINDNESS MATTERS
The best western was a great bang for your buck.. Staff extremely helpful and friendly.. Made my stay comfortable. The room was very affordable.. The wifi was great and the breakfast was good.. Everything I needed under one roof. Very close to the maidu softball fields.
I spent 3 nights at this property while doing business in the Roseville/Sacramento area. The property is lovely, staff is great, beds are comfortable, location is convenient. Absolutely no complaints, I'll stay there again.
This hotel presents a false front and pictures in the advertisements. The lobby is very nice. Past the lobby is a old tired hotel desperately in need of updating. The buildings are old, the rooms are barely passable. The parking lots are surrounded by large overgrown trees which induce poor lighting and security issues. There was a old motor home on site which had someone living in it and that created a security problem. There were people sleeping in cars overnight. The property is in need of a security review.
We've stayed in many nice Best Western hotels worldwide, and this was by far the biggest disappointment. The front desk staff were very pleasant, but that's where the quality ended. The room had a strange odor, almost like carpet freshener to cover-up a lingering offensive smell. The pillows smelled like body odor (bingo!). The room was spacious, but the decor needed serious updating, especially the bathroom. The hotel offers a happy hour in the "bar," but we walked in, lasted three seconds, and then headed to a nearby restaurant bar. Breakfast was included in the rate, but noting special. One night was enough for us. Sorry, Best Western...this wasn't a good experience for us.
Three night stay. The beds needed clean sheets. We were given sheets to make our own beds up. We received no service the next day. Returned to our rooms late in the evening and asked for towels and sheets. They were brought to us and we again madeour own beds, Unacceptable!!!
My stay was very good, the person at the front desk was very helpful. Telling me about dinner place to eat. I pick this place because I had apt the next morning very early and did not want to drive in the traffic. So I was there the night before. You also get breakfast in the morning.
The staff was incredible through my entire visit. Carol at the front desk was extremely professional and accommodating - but everyone was helpful. The rooms in the back portion/tower of the hotel are up-to-date, fresh and clean, and very quiet. It was a good location and reasonably priced.
Bugs in the bathroom and a small, dark, noisy bedroom .....this can't be a Best Western "Plus" hotel. We reserved a suite with two beds. Our room had two bedrooms separated by the bathroom. A queen sized bed filled each room with little space for much else. The first bedroom had a small circular table and two chairs that were pushed up against the window wall and heavy drapes to allow for space to walk by the bed. The second bedroom had fewer furniture pieces. Neither room had much light available. The room was next to the pool and perhaps that is why it needed heavy, dark window coverings to provide privacy and block out the noise. The pool closed at 10 pm but people remained in the area to chat until far later; I was surprised staff did not ask these individuals to leave the area. The following morning we found bugs (perhaps earwigs) in the bathroom probably attracted to the wet towels on the floor. (I notified the desk when we left so hopefully they have taken care of the problem.) I will be reluctant to stay at any Best Western after this experience. If I do, I will want to see the room first before I give my credit card. The hotel is in a good location near the Galleria Shopping Center and restaurants but you will find better choices.
I booked the room for a training in Folsom. My daughter came along due to a vacation that we would leave for 3 days later. The pool was being used by other families (the pool was pretty cloudy!), so we opted for the hot tub for one of the days. I was surprised by the lounge serving 2 complimentary drinks for Platinum members daily from 530-930pm. The room was a nice size but the bathroom sink was the first thing along the room entrance. The room had a moldy smell. Probably because the bathroom was next to the door and there was not good ventilation. It was good for a short stay and wi-fi worked well. We loved the breakfast. My little one enjoyed the waffle with the BW in the heart. Overall, I would stay there again but maybe ask for a different room. It was frustrating because they were busy and no one was answering the front desk phone when I was trying to get some information. But location was great with Outback in walking distance across the street.
The Initial room was clean and nice but neighbors in room next door kept us up watching tv loudly. When we complained to front desk they promptly moved us to upgrade executive building where it was very quiet and very nice suite. The morning breakfast was always nice and staff kept on top of food and cleanliness. All the staff was helpful and friendly and the free beer/wine in the evening a nice touch. They get a A+ for making sure our stay was as nice as possible.
This hotel was clean and comfortable, loved the breakfast they offered. They have a reception every night and offer free drinks. All staff we encountered were great. Will definitely stay again the next time we are in town.
Executive wing is better than the rest of the hotel, and have always had a great room staying in this part of the hotel. I would stay in this hotel again. Breakfast is ok, but I'm not a big breakfast person anyway.
First, the check in was flawless the room was more than expected and the easily hands down the best place I have ever stayed the bar woman is a little less than sketchy she spends more time at the end of the bar paying more attention to her boyfriend that she does for customers
We stayed on the 3rd floor and both elevators were constantly "out of order." Requested a late check out ($25) only to be locked out upon our return. More stairs... The appropriate action would have been for front desk staff to let me know that they would. We'd to re-validate key in the case of a late check out.
I really like this hidden gym in Roseville...pool is small but works, beds are comfortable. The breakfast is good. This is a mellow laid back stay for couples or kids. Carol the manager is great.love it
We stayed 8 days and loved the hot buffet breakfast. This saved my wife and I at least $20 a day. The food was great . Sausage, real scrambled or hard boiled eggs. Bacon ,potatoes. Full breakfast menu.. We had a (2) queen size bed room. We liked that both beds had there own TV Carolyn and Petal were very pleasant and the front desk. We even saved $63 on 9 sunplash tickets that the hotel sells cheaper than the water park..We will be back..
We really enjoy the hotel. Our room it was big enough. We went to a close town for a concert and the hotel was easy to access to Freeways. The room very comfortable and the breakfast it was good for the price of the stay.
What a nice, pleasant Motel. I had to travel alone, which I don't do, and was so happy with my choice. It's well located, the staff is so nice and so is the outdoor pool. When I was alone in my room at night I felt very safe. The mattress was very comfy and so were the pillows. No complaints. The staff couldn't have been nicer. I didn't have internet access so they printed my boarding pass for me. The breakfast was good. I like to be gluten free and I was glad to see they served home fries every morning. Coffee was just right.
I thought the idea of a complementary lounge was a great idea. Hotel would be better off not offing this. room was hot, small and uncomfortable. bar tender was not happy about being there. rooms were clean and breakfast was very busy.
After a less than stellar night at a different hotel, my husband, 2 kids and I moved to this hotel for 3 nights. While it's not much to look at from the outside, we were pleasantly surprised at how well this property was cared for. Everywhere we looked someone was cleaning, mopping and wiping things down. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was well stocked and when my daughter got pancake batter all over her hands, the staff took her into the back to wash up instead of making her walk all the way yonder to the restroom. While busy at breakfast there was plenty of tables to sit and eat at. The kids loved the pool and it was maintained well and not over-chlorinated like some hotel pools are. Parking was plentiful and they happily accommodated our requests for additional towels. Water pressure was amazing and hot water plentiful. We stayed in a 2 king room suite in the executive wing, which allowed us some privacy from the rugrats. We'd happily stay here again when/if we are in the area.
Wonderful location and very helpful staff. We were at a local sports tournament for the weekend and our whole team stayed at this hotel. It was a hot weekend and we enjoyed the pool and the little pub/bar they had on the property.
The carpets were so filthy in the room my socks were black. If you stay here beware. I called and spoke to Lindsey R (a manager), and she basically seemed disinterested. Said they clean their carpets - well they missed this room Lindsey.
The hotel is dirty everywhere. There are broken windows that have wood covering the holes. The closet door in my room was broken. The maids only cleaned 25% of my room. The trash receptacles around the property were totally overflowing the entire 3 days I was there. The hotel property is in serious need of refurbishment, repainting, and a thorough cleaning.,
We stayed in a king suite and although the room was on the freeway side it was so quiet that it was not disturbing at all. Very comfortable accommodations. Highly recommend the suites. Yolanda and Carol are the best!
The hotel was conveniently located and reasonably priced. The room was clean with a refrigerator. There was no bathroom door for the toilet area. The pocket door closed off the vanity and toilet areas. A bit inconvenient.
This hotel is in a great location and has a great breakfast, also a nice bar where you can enjoy an evening drink. But this hotel needs a lot of help and money spent on it. In some of the rooms the TVs don't work and they don't have any to replace a broken one. The bathrooms have a lot of mold around the tubs, this isn't good at all. The bathroom shower curtains are torn and moldy. The tubs don't drain well at all. The carpets in most rooms are filthy, they need to be replaced. If money and some hard work was spent on this hotel it would be great. It needs new management to make sure this hotel is kept up at all times. Kept clean and have things working. A complete inspection of all rooms needs to be done.
Wonderful, helpful staff and a convenient location. Older amenities, but great value and great place to stay. Stay included breakfast and two beverages. I am going to book my next trip there again this summer.
If your are looking for a hotel which is helpful and friendly look here. I travel often and this is one of the most helpful and friendly hotels I have ever stayed at. You can't go wrong here if you need a place to stay in the Roseville area.
enjoyed it very much. very comfortable, good conference rooms, great breakfast., excellent location, included a swimming pool and fitness center, plus elevators. staff was very helpful and plenty of parking.
Very nice layout with the bathroom in the center of the two beds. Allows late sleeper to the back area. Fitness center was good also. Best Western/Orchid Rocks. Better not to get rooms around the pool area in summer because it is really loud late at night. Everything else was great.
Our team stayed for a soccer tournament. Perfect for the team to be together. Pool. BBQ The kindest, most helpful staff you will find. We would definitely stay again with our whole team. Thanks to Carol at the front desk. She is the best.
It may be an older style hotel, but they have an elevator and the rooms have been nicely renovated. Check in was fast despite them being busy, the front desk gentleman was very nice and made a great recommendation for food service (doordash, I'd never heard of it, but it allowed me to order from a variety of restaurants that don't normally deliver). After a very hot day walking farms, I came to a nice cool room that smelled great! The bathroom was clean and the shower worked well. My only slight criticism would be that noise from the pool was quite loud in the room.
This hotel is not what was presented on the internet info or pictures. It is an old, remodeled, old style hotel with it's "nice" executive suite extension right next to the freeway. While the attempt was made to make this executive suite wing much better than the smaller, original rooms around the pool and garden/deck area the wing is so close to the freeway, it might as well run thru it. This is not disclosed in the posting of this hotel. Don't be deceived.....this is not a PLUS quality BW. While you cannot blame a hotel for being where a crime can be committed, it can provided security, etc. The back parking lot that is adjacent to the executive wing is vulnerable. We had our bikes securely locked on the back of our vehicle with two cable locks, backed into bushes so as to deter theft. The following morning the bikes were still there but the large cable lock was cut clean, lying on the ground and the integrated cable lock on our bike rack was 95% cut thru. The theives must have been scared off, but the damage to the bike rack is permanent. Cameras, signs and security patrol at night in this area is a must.
booked 5+ months in advance. didn't get the King Suite room I booked, was told the hotel decided they needed the room for someone else, was supposedly upgraded to a "Spa Suite"that backed against a very noisy freeway, A/C did not work or shut off, shower door very low and thin glass almost fell through it, the place could use some TLC and remodel. There was really nothing good about this hotel....clearly the staff is not thrilled with their hotel either.
I used my BW points for the 3 night stay. Good friendly staff, decent breakfast...(certainly enough food variety to satisfy guests). However, the rooms are dated and uncomfortable beds. If not for my points, I would not have stayed here for the $150/night. This is a $99 and below hotel.
Decent hotel with larger than average rooms and a nice swimming area. Onsite bar and restaurant are small (max 20 people). Lots of contractors and families were staying here while I stayed here, but there weren't any noise complaints or other issues.
We visit family in the area frequently and this was our first time to stay at the Best Western Orchid Suites. This is a large property and worked well for us, but there is definitely a potential for issues. First of all, even though it is a non-smoking property, many people smoke just outside the building and the elevator also smells of smoke; however our room did not have any smoke odors. The configuration of the hotel is a large 3 story perimeter with a dividing section in the middle (kind of like a squared "8"). This creates 2 courtyards - one has a pool and hot tub, the other has a sizable patio area with chairs and tables. In the patio courtyard section, there is a small lounge which serves happy hour drinks (beer, wine, soft drinks - one complimentary drink per person per night) until 9:30pm. For the most part, the outdoor spaces were enjoyable, only becoming overcrowded a couple times, but I can see (as other reviewers commented), that on hot summer evenings at full capacity, noise could become an issue. However, for our stay, I was glad there were outdoor spaces to enjoy. Our room was appointed as expected, king bed, desk, and sofa as well as refrigerator and microwave. The sink was outside the toilet/tub area - always a bonus. The room was clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast served more items than most budget hotel breakfasts with several hot items available: scrambled eggs, hashed browns, sausage, ham, and biscuits and gravy, pancakes, waffles as well as the typical cereal, yogurt, juice, hard boiled eggs, fruit (apples, oranges, bananas), toast, bagels, muffins. Since most of our time was spent with family, we were at the hotel mostly to sleep. It was a good option for our needs.
The room and service was excellent!! Rooms were clean and amenities were great! The staff was friendly and efficent. The maintenance was awesome!! We had a problem with the refrigerator not working and the maintenance man took care of it immediately!!
The room we stayed in was set up very strange. It seemed like it should be flipped. The hotel staff is hit or miss. The man I spoke to when booking our reservation was very nice. Unfortunately, the other staff I came into contact with acted as if they were doing some huge favor by allowing us to stay with them. They were rude and condescending. The beds were comfortable and the hotel breakfast was pretty good. The kitchen staff made sure it was always stocked.
Aging but well maintained motor inn just off the I-80 in Roseville, a suburb northeast of Sacramento. Cheerful staff and good amenities such as one free beer, wine, or soft drink per person at happy hour and free breakfast from 6 to 9 am weekdays. The amenities are qualitatively on par with those you might receive at a Hampton Inn. A free shuttle is available to take you to the nearby shopping malls and outlets in the area though just about everyone who stays here arrives by car. The "plus" refers to the over sized junior suites available at additional cost. The standard rooms are motel sized.
Whenever we are in the Sacramento area to visit family we stay here. What a better review than to be a repeat customer. The front desk staff is very friendly along with housekeeping. The rooms are good size and they are very comfortable which includes a couch along with our king size bed. The complimentary breakfast was great. The scrambled eggs were actually warm to go along with the ham. There were other items for breakfast as well. There are two courtyard areas in the gated facility. One has a pool and hot tub while the other has a deck with tables and umbrellas to go along with a small bar that is open in the late afternoon/early evening. The front desk printed my airline boarding passes for me with a friendly smile. Not the case everywhere. I could go on and on, I like this place. Oh, by the way, it is reasonably priced.
I'm not sure the hotel can do this, but the guests need to be controlled. They were WAY too noisy and obnoxious in the public areas: motorcycles revving and people hollering in the parking lot early in the morning (annoying at any time really), children running around the breakfast room spilling their and other people's juice, room doors open with guests shouting from one room to another. People sitting on the deck for hours shouting and laughing way too loud and smoking (it's supposed to be a non-smoking property). Luckily we were able to find refuge in our executive wing room, which was modern and well sound-proofed, but we would have liked to enjoy the other areas of the hotel. The Jacuzzi needs fixing (bubbles pretty much non-existent). Hotel needs to redesign the breakfast room to disburse the people trying to get food, rather than corralling them into a small u-shaped area. It was difficult to maneuver even with just a few people in there.
Great hotel of this class. Hotel was very clean as well as the room. Front desk staff is very friendly and welcoming. he breakfast was typical continental with cereal, scrambled eggs. comfortable rooms and common areas, the exercise facility
Overall we had a pleasant stay. There was a couple of small issues that appear to be an oversight on the staff, but for the price and value I can't complain. I would stay here again. The staff were great and the breakfast was good
Great stay best weekend ever, housekeeping was friendly, front desk as well room was clean everything worked as expected breakfast was amazing but late check up should of been a lot later then it was good place to relax
Thought from pictures and reviews that this was a property with inside doors that we prefer. A plus was that there was room for us to park our small trailer - tho I'm not sure there would have been room on a busier night. After a long trek to our room, we found it to be adequate with comfortable beds. Breakfast was to be at 6 am and we were anxious to get on the road for a 12 hour drive, but it opened 10 minutes late. Hint: if you go in a side door and use your room card to unlock it, be sure to push up on the handle. The door we used wouldn't open if you pulled the handle down.
Roomy and comfortable, with excellent meal service -- the best we had on our trip. We were looking to buy property in Idaho. Stayed at the Northwest Lodge in Boise. This hotel was much better. Dr. Richards
This place really amaze me good customer service and the location of the place really amazing but I hope but the price should be a little bit less expensive!!! I would be visiting this place again soon!!!
Our room smelled like vomit and the staff would not give us a new room even though they know of the problem before putting us in the room. When we complained that there was air filter equipment in the room. They simply offered to remove the air filtering equipment !
It is a Best Western Plus, but frankly I didn't see any plus side on that ! It is an average motel , everything was clean , bed was fine , included breakfast was fine, but nothing special . Customer service needs to be better.
Good quality for the money. Rooms were a little old. Saggy spots in the floor but everything was clean. Plenty of towels and extra blankets in the closet. My family and I had a great nights sleeeeeeeep.
Excellent staff and clean hotel. Breakfast was excellent!! I stayed for 4 nights and experienced different staff. They were very helpful. The only thing was the key was super sensitive to my phone and would stop working. I needed to change it 3 times. But I would stay again. This place didn't disappoint.
Employees were very nice and helpful. I asked for extra blankets and the front desk had them immediately. When we asked for directions to a grocery store, again the front desk was very helpful. Free breakfast was very good. The hotel is old, they have done some recent renovations (new curtains, bedding etc.) Bathroom was old and dirty. We booked a semi private suite, turned out to be 2 beds 2 televisions separated by the dressing area with a single sink. There was no sitting area and barely enough room to walk around in the room. We were very disappointed, it was in no way any kind of suite. A double bed room would of been a better description. The counter around the sink was filthy, both tv remotes had something sticky on them when we took them out of a bag that said they had been "sanitized" Staff was great, room not so great..
We as a family sold our home in San Jose, and moved to Rocklin, California. Our new home wasn't ready and we stayed at Best Western Orchid Suites in Roseville, California. We are so amazed at the service and hospitality of this hotel . From Carol and Yolanda in the lobby to Ladie in the Breakfast room, and every single employee that works there made our stay like home. They all work so hard to make everything perfect without you lifting a finger. We have a 7 year old grandchild that lives with us , and she has school every day, and she was so very happy to have their freshly baked cookies every day at 3:00 o'clock while she did her home work. They have thought of everything that makes you feel you are home. Thank you Best Western Orchid Suites for a most wonderful stay. You truly made us feel at home. Maria Lunetta
The hotel was very nice. We were put in the new addition so I am not sure about the rooms in the older section of the hotel. our Room was comfortable and had lots of space. I do wish they had told us about the onsite club room and the free drinks. The stay overall was very nice
Never had a problem making a reservation at a Best Western. Staff is very friendly and helpful and accomodating. I would recommend Best Western to friends and family when traveling anytime, anywhere. You will always find the rooms clean, comfortable and i have always felt right at home. Check out their rewards program and earn lots of points for neat things. They have thought of everything and anything anyone woukd need when travelling........................
Enjoyed the hotel been there before. It is so close to Resturant and shopping malls. Also very close too freeway exits skating rings and many events. Would stay there again also has shuttle to casino .
Very nice hotel. Older but well kept up through three different brands. We first stayed there in 1990 when it was an Oxford Suites. It still maintains the same room configuration with a separate "living room" with couch and TV as well as a TV in the bed area. Very good breakfast, nice selection and efficient friendly staff working to keep the food well stocked. We would stay there again.
I want to say that it's so nice and beautiful at this hotel and the rooms are large and family in mind when they designed it so enjoyable and the breakfast is definitely a five star thing the great food is the best
Made the reservation through Best Western on-line. The reservation was non-cancellable which I did not think anything of at the time boy I was wrong. We got to the hotel a little early. They gave us a choice of a room on the top floor next to the freeway or if we wanted to wait a room top floor in the middle of executive wing so we chose that room. Ended up waiting an additional 1.5 hours beyond normal check-in for this room. When we finally got into the room we were very pleased did not see anything out of the ordinary. Very nice room top floor. We went to Thunder Valley for a birthday celebration. We got back to the room about 10:00. My husband was kneeling down by the desk to plug in a cord and his knee was soaked. We looked up at the ceiling and there was a continuous drip coming from the recessed ceiling light. The carpet was soaked. Called the front desk and the person really did not have a clue how to handle it. So they wanted to switch us to another room which would have been fine had it not been the only room on the end next to the freeway. No other choice all other rooms in that wing were full. We went to the lobby and found the desk person did not do anything. So he spoke to what appeared to be a manager or someone in charge. He went with my husband back to the room and stated "not good" no kidding. Water coming out of an electrical fixture. Since we did not want to sleep next to the freeway they gave us the option to cancel and they would credit back our credit card for the room. We left at 11:30 going back home in Nevada and did not get home until early morning. After several calls found out that Best Western has to send us a check because it was non-cancellable even though it was the fault of the hotel. So they manage to take my money right away but come to find out I have to wait two months for mine which is unacceptable. Needless to say if this is the way they treat their customers no thank you I will stay elsewhere. Word to others may want to pay a little higher rate to be able to conveniently cancel the reservation without going through the nightmare we went through. We travel for business because of these issues Best Western will not get our business.
I left my room 281 at 900am upon my return at 900pm the room was not cleaned at all!!! the front desk sent up towels and that was it... no discount or other consideration. I was NOT impressed!! they kept asking if the do not disturb sign was on the door.. NO it was inside the room.... NOT impressed at a
Really enjoyed the stay, breakfast was amazing and delicious.the room was huge and had a small living room which made it seem like I was at home. Thank u for everything. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.
Eerything is done well or very well here. The bar is lively and the staff on point. The breakfast in the restaurant is a great value as well as tasty and well made. I would recommend this hotel for anyone on business needing a reliable and convenient place to stay in Reno, NV.
All employees had great attitude and great customer service. Their cheerfulness made me forget a little about the reason I was there. Very comforting. The room was clean and very nice. The bed was comfy and I like how the two beds were divided kind of like in two rooms for privacy but still able to talk to our group. I would definetley recommend this hotel. Too bad we didn't get to our complimentary drinks.
I only stay at Best Western. My stay is always Great. The staff is always kind, courteous and attentive to my needs. The rooms are always clean and neat. The location is perfect. There's a lot of places to eat close by. Like Outback for a nice dinner and across the street are some fast food places and small restaurants. I-Hop is now open and there is a sports bar close with Great food and Happy hour specials. The hotel shuttle will take to other places if you wish. It's a Must Stay in my travels.
Super helpful, knowledgeable and efficient staff, friendly--without being fake-friendly. Excellent room, comfortable bed, internet worked flawlessly. Reason for this stay was that I was having surgery early the next morning and needed to stay near the hospital the night before. The staff made a point of giving me a room in the quietest possible location. They were so helpful and kind. I would stay there again without hesitation.
Lovely courtyard with giant trees made it feel like we were in a treehouse. Decor a little old, but comfy beds, giant fridge, very clean bathroom and plenty of easy access charging outlets. Easy access from freeway with plenty of shopping and dining nearby. Included two free drinks per room in the cozy lounge which also had hot appetizers. Breakfast was included but I didn't go. That said, previous reviews says it was great. Even though we were close to the freeway, virtually no sound intrusion. Couch, in addition to two beds, made a nice place to sit down comfortably, rather than at the desk. Staff was friendly, efficient and honored our request for a third floor room.
This hotel met all our expectations. As an older couple we have decided to graduate from the motel 6 experience for comfort reasons. A little more $ than motel 6 but the extra comfort is there. Still the pillow top bed needed our extra foam we always carry with us for our aching bones...but for 90% of all people the bed is great. Clean hotel. Staff helpful. Excellent free breakfast with coffee eggs muffins raisin toast sausage and bacon yogurt and topping cook-yer-own waffles etc. There were a couple MINOR quirks as with any hotel stay but did not affect our stay. Hot tub pool fitness room, dogs can stay etc. Well worth the money and I will go here first next time we are in the area.
The stay was OK. Bed was not comfortable and the people going up and down the elevator were noisy. The breakfast area was dull and the food was standard breakfast food. Sausage looked to greasy to try. The room was clean. The shower rod was falling out of the wall so the curtain would not stay closed causing water to flow out onto the floor.
This is a very basic hotel but I found the staff friendly, helpful and courteous. The room was clean and the hotel ground very good. Many of the rooms are quietly located. I had a King room on the 3rd floor. It came with a sofa, fridge and microwave. The breakfast was good, not fancy. They did have eggs, sausage and hashbrowns, waffle machine, along with the usual cereals, breads, yogurt, and a little fruit. The times for breakfast were very good. Weekends started at 6:30 which is helpful as many start too late for my activities and I miss them. The only negative is that there is no privacy while someone is in the shower or using the toilet if someone wants to use the sink. At least in my room there was no door to the separate toilet/tub room and the mirrored closet position allows for reflective discussions with anyone in most of the room. I was alone so it was not an issue for me, but for some it might be. For those traveling with dogs, this is a very good area for walks, well lit. Good places for relieving your dogs.
We returned to Roseville for business and some time together. We had been here a few years ago when it was just Orchid Suites before the remodel job, which is a nice change. Overall it was quiet, clean, and a decent place to stay. They served a breakfast in the morning, but did not have kitchens in the rooms. There was beer and wine at night. There are restaurants nearby that you can walk to and a Frys Electronics next door. For us being next to the freeway was a good location and most likely we will return.
I already emailed the manager that responded to these reviews and never got a response! It seems they only care when posts are public. When we got to our room we could hear the highway noise and called to request a different room. Baji answered and argued with my boyfriend telling him there was no noise but to "come down and get your key" and then hung up on him! Because we never got a chance to request the 3rd floor after being hung up on they had to change keys again when we got down there. We were then given a room where the bathroom fan never turns off. Later when I came down to ask for a fork from Baji, she was very nice until I noticed I forgot my card. Once she realized I was part of the couple that had moved rooms, she rudely commented on how we kept moving around. When I tried to explain she said how she didn't know how we heard noise and that both her and the other girl have stayed there and never had a problem. She told me that because we moved around everything was messed up and how she had to fix it. I tried apologizing but she just continued on how whatever she had to fix was bad. This has been by far the worst guest service I have ever experienced. She made it extremely clear how much I was inconveniencing her. I hope you are able to take correct action before she affects your business for the future.
My experience with plus Best Westerns were that they had actual plates and did not use paper plates and plastic utensils. This one does, like those not in the plus range. Also was not pleased with the attitude of an employee that blocked access to the parking area with their personal car.
My husband and I were very impressed, the grounds are real nice. Our room was excellent, very clean and comfortable bed. We were impressed. We had a glass of wine in the lounge, and nachos. That night we both slept like babies, dreamed all night, it was so quiet. Would return to this hotel again.
We live in the area and have had to stay at this hotel on 2 occasions one while remodeling and one while waiting for our new house to close escrow. This is a really great hotel for the price. The rooms are clean updated with fridge coffee maker and microwave. They have a free buffett breakfast everyday that is outstanding.
Our group of about a dozen was so satisfied with everything here. From the friendly, competent, and helpful staff, to the incredible breakfast and beautiful grounds, we all feel we finally found a hotel we can call "home away from home!" I can't brag enough about this place!
The receptionist at the front counter when we checked in was the friendliest and most helpful I have ever experienced. She offered and did show me multiple rooms throughout the hotel to find the one that best met our needs. The staff, rooms, breakfast and prices were great and I would never stay at any other hotel when visiting that area.
The location, exterior, and lobby interior were all very pleasing. However, the room was outdated, the sheets were not crisp which gave me the feeling they hadn't been changed. The carpet was dingy looking. I was on the 3rd floor and the noise from the courtyard pool area was obnoxious. Also, the outside walkway did not absorb the noise of people walking by our room door with their rolling carts and shoes. This was a very disappointing stay. The only positive aspect of my stay was the breakfast. This hotel had more variety of breakfast foods than any other hotel I have recently stayed. The two gals working in this area were extremely helpful and friendly.
We were in town to look at homes, as we are relocating closer to family. I had requested a quiet room, as I have severe insomnia and am a light sleeper (my Mother could sleep through a freight train). Plus, we were staying for 3 days. We ended up on the 3rd floor with the ice machine, soda machine and "recycling" area right outside our door. Lovely! I got to listen to the ice machine each night up till about 2am. The room was very tight, to say the least. Our beds were queens and so close together that we'd bump heads if getting up at the same time. The other side of the beds were up against a wall & the couch respectively. Probably should only have double beds in there or one king. The fridge had no door for the freezer, so everything froze by Tuesday! The tub leaked all day & night (forgot to mention that on checkout). There was a nice vanity mirror in the exterior area of bathroom (right by room door), but it was bolted so low on the wall that I couldn't utilize it very well (I'm 5'3"). The TV is on Central time & there's no guide. We both are mobility impaired-so walking to the breakfast area from our room was a haul. The elevator was very busy in the morning, due to the maids. The heating and a/c unit did have a thermostat and a plastic border to keep the drapes from blowing around (nice!). The 1st night we're there, my Mother fell asleep on the couch about 10pm and I was watching tv when I started hearing a sound. First, I thought it was the room next to us, then I realized the sound was coming from outside our room. I slowly opened the door & peeped outside to see what was going on (thumping noise). I witnessed a guy getting up from the ground (facing me) and a young woman also getting up (facing opposite me), while pulling down her short mini skirt! Don't even want to think what they were doing against the wall, on the ground, where the soda & ice machine wall is. Good Lord! The hotel parking lot can be very dark in areas and there are only 2 360 degree cameras at each end of the big parking lot. There are no cameras in the corridors at all. To me, this is a security concern. Had there been a cameras in the corridors, that couple probably wouldn't have been doing what they were doing. The breakfast was decent. I'm not big on eggs or meat in the morning. But, good selections. The happy hour was very nice Monday eve! I was surprised by how good the red wine was and the nacho bar was minimal, but good! By Monday afternoon, the "recycling" area outside our room was quite overflowing (see pic). It remained as such as we left Tuesday at 12:30pm. Which is another thing: when a rewards member asks for a late checkout (1pm vs 12pm), please give us a chance to explain why & also don't threaten to charge us if we stay later than 12:30!! Due to the way the front desk handled our early morning request, we had to rush & forgot my polar bag w/my medicines in it. We drove all the way to the Hwy 80/5 interchange before realizing the bag was missing. Drove ALL the way back to Roseville to get it. This was all very hard for both of us, as we were very tired already & just wanted to go home. Not sure we'd stay here again.

Quality & price was very good. Our room was exactly what I requested. Our room was on the third floor overlooking the oak tree. Even though it was close to the freeway, we could not hear any noise. We enjoyed our free drinks on the patio under the oak tree. Staff is friendly and efficient.
Did not get the room we thought we booked through Expedia and Tommy at the front desk said he couldn't change it because other guests were coming in and guaranteed that particular room. He said he would ask if guests checking in would be interested in our room so we could change since we just arrived. He said he would call me back. Never called me back. We specifically asked for a quiet room and were given a room that bordered the freeway. Complimentary happy hour was a disappointment. Guests were waiting and the happy hour was late by 30 minutes. The light appetizer was stale chips, salsa, processed liquid cheese unheated. Bar tender had to hand wash wine glass while we waited for a pour, then served the wine in a dripping wet glass. Tired from travel we turned down the sheets to find a black hair under the covers on the sheet, wrinkled sheets as if someone slept in them. Called to have clean sheets put on. Waited 30 minutes, called again, and told busy and maintenance would arrive shortly. Breakfast was just ok. Party going on outside in the courtyard till 10:00 pm noisy! You'll hear people walking past your door and walls are paper thin. We checked out two days later and would have sooner, but couldn't find any vacancy. Save yourself the disappointment and sleepless stay, go elsewhere!
I am still currently a guest in this hotel, and have been staying here for the last week and 3 days, with still about a week or so more to go and have never felt such a gratifying experience as far as hotels go. The staff overall is very friendly and i get sense of family feel from the majority of them. They have a beautiful Pool and Hot tub within the first court and the second court hosts a beautiful grass area featuring a big solitary tree with seating arrangements. The allowed us to bring our cat, Daxter as well for only an additional 20$ a day, which is one of the best rates i have yet to come across. Room service is very helpful and do a great job at actually reading door signs when one would prefer to be left alone. But in my opinion by far one of the best features aside from the awesome Breakfast, is the fact of them hosting a small snack corner in there office, which i'd like to mention is open and available 24/7 with the kindest and one of the most friendly night manager i have ever met Charlene. She has a very charming personality, i'd even go as far to say has ended up turning out to be one of the bigger highlights for my Boyfriend, and Myself while traveling down to the office for our midnight- to 5 am trips for snacks and beverages and end up staying for 20mins... maybe even longer (i tend to lose track(: ) after a couple of days of us not making our nightly stop-in she even asked how we were and why we hadn't come around for a couple of nights, i guess the enjoyment of our late night visits are neutral! :) would definitely recommend this hotel to all friends and family members for a lovely, clean, friendly atmosphere and all at an extremely reasonable (a far as service goes, i'd even say undercharged) price! Thank you Best Western Plus Orchid, And thank you Charlene! for by far the best visits at a hotel i have experienced by FAR!
We stayed here for a family gathering for a wedding. I loved the courtyard area with the tree. It was lovely and peaceful, even though we never sat there, but just gazed as we walked by. The breakfast was fantastic for a free hotel breakfast. On Sunday there were biscuits and gravy. Everything was clean and well stocked. Those working at the breakfast area and front counter were friendly and helpful, even to my mother-in-law, who although well meaning, is loud and a bit bossy. Naomi, working the breakfast, was especially cheerful. She wore a cat ear headband one day and we thought that was charming. The room was clean and well appropriated. The bed was comfortable.
Nice hotel for the price, would definitely stay again if in the area, offered free drinks for the guests, beautiful oak tree in middle of complex with tables and chairs to enjoy. Staff accommodated us with our 26 ft moving truck which was helpful
This hotel is 15 minutes out of Sacramento, but you will find a convenient location to the freeway, shopping, and restaurants. The atrium of this hotel is peaceful. There is an on location bar that hosts happy hour with 2 drinks per guest. (That is very generous!) And a few snacks. There is a hot breakfast in the morning which is your standard BW eggs, meat, waffles, potatoes, and misc cold cereal and yogurt. It has a nice pool in the center and exercise area and all rooms surround the pool except the executive wing. There is plenty of parking, the rooms have refrig, and microwave, and blow dryers, and iron board/ iron and coffee makers. Quiet, clean, and convenient. Not the softest beds, but newer.( I like em soft) Overall a nice place. Staff if friendly and accommodating.
I loved our stay here, we felt safe, the staff is great, the rooms well cleaned, comfortable and well stocked, the breakfast was plentiful and all the kitchen staff so friendly and the extras in the room all in working order I will recommend it to everyone!!
Control your expectations and you will be happy. A BW Hotel swimming pool jacuzzi and good size rooms. Take the Suites and you can stay for a few days, 2 free drinks per room in the Blue Lagoon Lounge, quality of drinks are on the lower end, bartender is unacceptable, several evenings we visited and what an unfriendly attitude. Front Desk Staff was great and accommodating, free breakfast needs improvement in quality, cleanness and selection. Rooms are good, A/C doesn't always work properly but not too noisy, bathrooms were clean and fridge microwave and all other amenities worked well, Free parking and walking distance to several restaurants and diners.
This is a great property. Close to the freeway, walking distance to multiple restaurants and ATM's and an awesome self-serve breakfast. In fact, this is possibly the best hotel self-serve breakfast I've ever I experienced. Two courtyards - one with a pool and one with tables and chairs. They also have a lounge with adult beverages. Clean and fresh looking rooms - ours had a microwave and big mini-fridge. I have no complaints and would definitely stay here again.
Three friends and I stayed at BW Orchid for 11 nights, while studying repousse with a local artist. Orchid's shaded courtyard (a huge single tree) became our evening reflection spot. Sometimes it was just us, once it was all young energies from a visiting softball team. It always felt welcoming. So did all the staff. I highly recommend them.
The room smelled like it had previously been a smoking room. I woke up with a heavy chest. Front desk was wonderfully helpful. All of the staff was very kind. Breakfast was great. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were very nice.
For the money, we got breakfast and two free drinks. Great Deal! The courtyard is a really nice place to hang out with family. It was close to the mall and other attraction. Was a good stay. We travel for softball and saving money is a priority.
Always a great place to stay. Very easy access from The 80 and plenty of places to eat and relax nearby if needed. Great pool and jaccuzi. Rooms are always clean with great beds! Very friendly, helpful staff! Good Internet and large flat screen TVs in the rooms! Highly recommended!
Facilities are clean, in good repair and secure. Room was comfortable and updated. All desired amenities in room, beautiful in and outdoor sitting areas to enjoy 2 FREE glasses of wine. Full breakfast with eggs, meat, yogurt, hashbrowns, bagels, pastries, toast, cereal, fruit and hot drinks. All staff was friendly. Definitely going to be my 'go to' place to stay!
Sheets were blood stained and looked as if they hadn't been changes. I was supposed to stay five nights, I quickly changed gears and moved the next morning to the Hampton Inn. Twice the price, also twice the service, food and cleanliness.
In Roseville for a few days and really liked this hotel . It's located close to the freeway . I stayed in the back building which are the new rooms which were very nice . They offer a breakfast buffet WHICH THEY COOK , very good . One of the best I have ever had from a BW good hot tub pool not heated A real plus is they have a beer and wine bar in the hotel and you get 2 free drinks per night Only downside is the outside doors to the property do not close . Seems like the doors need to be fixed . This means anyone from the street can come in . FIX IT ! That's why they lost a star with me Walking to any food in the area is limited although they may provide ride Don't eat at the Outback across the street . Over priced and poor food I will return to this hotel
Came here for Crush bonspiel. Friendly staffs, good breakfast offers and clean room. Nice bed and pillows (very important to me!). Hot shower came out very quickly so you don't have to wait naked. They also have swimming pool and hot tub but we didn't use. Walking distances to many restaurants and short driving distance to Ice Arena center and downtown. Offer free internet and parking as well. Enjoy our stays very much :)
We have family that lives in the Roseville area. We always stay in this hotel and usually in a suite. The suite price is very reasonable and the room is comfortable. The beds are extremely comfortable; the complimentary wine in the evening is a treat, and the breakfast much more complete than many other hotels.
Very ordinary property. Ample breakfast. Rooms a bit dated. Service mixed. Lots of parking. Rooms are basic, television works; bathrooms rather spartan. Shower stalls could use facelift. Competitively priced for the area but not really a good value.
This well kept hotel is in a busy district but has some nice amenities such as breakfast included in most of their rates and two lovely pools and very clean and comfortable accommodations. I didn't like that the bathroom door automatically swings shut, annoying. The desk staff was excellent to deal with. My only complaint was the Blue Oak Lounge. The older, brunette bartender was barely cordial and the WINE they serve is really inferior for California. I don't know where they get it? But I took one sip and tossed it. Pretty unbearable. Went across the street to Outback's and had a lovely Kenwood.
Very attentive and helpful staff. I had many questions and they had an answer for every one. Room was adequate and very clean. Provided all I needed for a one-night stay. Breakfast was convenient and quick. Parking was plentiful. Easy to get to from main highway, yet far enough away that it was quiet.
We had got off an 11 day cruise and was headed to Reno after a short visit with our son in Sacramento. They were busy so we left ,but we got to Roseville and my husband was too tired to go on... I checked online what we should expect to pay and was quite upset they counter guy gave a much higher price, but from the look from my husband it didn't matter it wasn't safe for him to drive on, he was tired.. AS it is with the Best Westerns we had to leave the room for the feathers to be taken out as I can't breathe with them in there........ Another bad point was the very low toilet..... ADA toilets don't cost any more but they are rare..... It was late so we didn't ask for riser. The Choice Hotels are made cheaply and oh boy this one was too, clang clang clang and bang bang all night with the doors, in fact the door to our area was broken. so had to go a distance to get in and out of our building. It was over 100 but our air conditioning worked great. kids and teens all over the place from many states for track meets in the area, but for the most part all well behaved except for the girls........ What made me change from a 1 or 2 star was the breakfast..... oh my it was very nice, but hundreds of the young and the guys eating so much and the kitchen people kept everything stocked. They were young 20 something, but worked so fast keeping things stocked and i was so impressed. They worked quietly and didn't seem to get upset...... so I changed my rating. In fact people kept coming after the shut off time and they still fed them, by that time the kids were leaving and adults could get in and not wait in a long line. This is a large complex, bed was great, but they need to fix what is broken instead of blocking with a piece of wood, as we found out it had been broke a while and please put something on the doors so they don't BANG AND CLANG all night.
We enjoyed our stay at the BW Orchard Inn. The rooms were not large but very comfortable. The breakfast area was great. The front desk personnel were very professional and quite helpful. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.
This was a very comfortable hotel. Three of us stayed in the suite. The hideabed couch was not made up although we booked for three but sheets were ready. I had only two minor complaints. The AC was not on when we arrived. With the temperature at 108 it took a LONG time to get bearable. Also there is a 'happy hour' with a free drink but we only got two tickets. Although the suite is for three everything is set up for two. Not a big deal. I also enjoyed being able to take a walk around the two courtyards on three levels. It avoided walking on the busy streets around the hotel which are not pedestrian friendly! The huge oak tree in the courtyard is lovely.
Quiet and clean room, pet friendly, nice breakfast and friendly staff. I had a great stay at this hotel! There is a lounge and 2 free drinks each night. The Blue Oak was amazing to sit under in the evening and have a cold beverage! This hotel is close to many nice restaurants and parks. I had a nice stay!
We use this hotel for our business travel and for employees who are traveling. It's very clean, reliable, & a great value. Breakfast & happy hour drinks are included which is great. Staff is friendly and the pool is nice. Hotel is a little older, but the beds and linens are nice. I would recommend this hotel for the business traveler all day long for the value. Internet is fast and rooms are well equipped. it's located right off of I-80. We also travel with our son occasionally and he enjoys the pool and breakfast!
Beware, this hotel appears much better on the website photos. The reality is a pretty major letdown. The rooms are cramped and look more spacious in the photos as well. Noisy maids in the morning made adequate rest and relaxation difficult to achieve. Desk service is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is not bad and breakfast attendants were on the ball. Pool and hot tub appeared clean and inviting (towels available and stocked well too), though we did not use them. The price of our stay was reasonable and inexpensive but holds true to the saying "You get what you paid for". Overall, not bad but I would not likely return.
My husband and I stayed here after a concert. We checked in about 10:30 p.m. and the staff was wonderful and got us checked right in. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. There was a large shower and a large jacuzzi tub. We ate breakfast in the morning. There were scrambled eggs, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, waffles, pancakes, assorted muffins, bread for toast, yogurt and cereal. Coffee and Juice. Everything was very good and well stocked. The hotel was completely full that night and the employees did a great job off keeping enough food out for everyone. There was a pool which looked clean, and there were a lot of guests using it at we did not use it however. They also had an area to sit at tables under the trees. It is a very nice hotel and I would recommend it for families or couples.
We traveled for the Fair Oaks Classics soccer tournament, and stayed here for the first time. The hotel itself is very nice & clean. It offered a lot of amenities inside & outside the rooms that made our stay great. The bed could be a little softer for my own personal preference. They had a great hot breakfast buffet, and the kids (15 teenage boys) enjoyed and needed it before the games. The hotel also offered complimentary drinks at the Lounge (for the grown-ups!). The staff was great, with great service. Especially Baji! She was a great pleasure to talk to and had our multiple reservations straightened out. Baji, Carol & Tommy at the front desk were SUPER!!!!!
This was a wonderful place for my Track and Field team to stay! There were 3 other teams in town for The Junior Olympics! Hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The courtyard was a nice place to hangout after a long day! The only down fall was the AC was on the back room and didn't cool off the front room very well
We have enjoyed staying here at Orchid Best Western several times. The rooms are clean and pleasant. The free drinks each night at the lounge under the beautiful oak tree makes it really special. Breakfast was very good.
The USA Track & Field Junior Olympics Nationals held in Sacramento brought us to the area. We were there with the baseball tourney visitors and staff did their best to accommodate all during this busy time. I have a couple of recommendations for management, but not a single complaint. SUITE We had a king-size bed with a living area inclusive of a sofa-bed, in the next room. The pocket door was great for privacy, and each area has its' own TV, which was THE BEST. Being a self-proclaimed "clean freak," the cleanliness of the room and bathroom upon arrival and throughout our stay made me so happy. The space in the suites is absolutely maximized to meet the needs of extended stay guests. The microwave was spotless and the mini-fridge was quiet. STAFF Every single staff person (Seriously - Front Desk, Housekeeping, Security and Breakfast Room staff) we encountered during our 6-night stay were super nice and willing to help if you asked them of something. Because of this, tipping wasn't a second-thought. I forgot to take care of housekeeping one day, and felt terrible. LOCATION: Roseville is a lovely town and the part where this property is located is very nice. Being there seven days, we learned our way around a bit. If you can't find what you're looking for off Douglas, Sunrise, Lead Hill or Galleria, you probably don't need it. EVERYTHING is right there on those streets within a couple of miles of the hotel: shopping, restaurants, banks, healthcare providers and pharmacies. BREAKFAST ROOM Nice. Great "hot breakfast" selection! Waffles, pancakes, eggs, sausage, potatoes, yogurt/toppings, etc. The cook and other staff were great every day. RECOMMENDATIONS - As other reviewers have noted, that back door needs to be fixed ASAP. Security issue with guests propping it open. - The carpets in the hallways are very dirty need to be shampooed. That kind of set a poor tone when entering the room, which should not have been the case because the rooms were very clean. Guessing that will be taken care of when the slow season comes about. -When at capacity, have some waffles and pancakes already prepared to avoid the back-up at the self-serve stations. Two waffle makers and one pancake maker just is not enough when hundreds of people are utilizing the space within such a short time frame. Great visit! Thank you so much!
Our softball team stayed here. The people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good with lots of options. In the evening there was a "happy hour" Included in our stay was a glass of wine, beer or soft drink. They had some chips to snack with the drink. In the middle, there was a nice patio with tables and trees where you could enjoy your drink or enjoy a take-out meal.
Have stayed here a few times and the staff is very friendly and the property is moderately clean. My only number # 1 complaint is this place is always too loud and noisey during day and night. If you're looking for a quiet stay, it does not exist here. I feel staff needs to be more attentive with managing the noise level at all times with the regard of paying guests here. This is a decent place, but I cannot ever stay here anymore.
Stayed here for an ASA 14A Western Nationals at nearby Maidu Park. Nice, middle aged, but well maintained motel. Good breakfast and 2 free beer or wine at the lounge in the evening. Nice pool and very helpful staff. And best of all, the air conditioning worked well, even though it was 106F during the day!
Wonderfully helpful people and friendly staff. Good food and a wonderful lounge. Quiet rooms, clean and well stocked. Good breakfast selections and the wait staff is very helpful and friendly.Great place.
Pros: staff courteous, room (executive wing) nicely decorated & clean, business center worked great & air conditioned, nice selection of breakfast items Cons: Waffle station during 8 a.m. hour was inefficient & cut off access to other food items creating grumbling long line, key operation to outside entry door was often successful only after a number of tries
room was nice but electric outlet are not fit with a some of my devices. We stayed 4 days at Best western. Shredded potatoes.egg and sausage very nice breakfast but all 4 days was same breakfast. I am not sure don't want to eat too much to the customers or cook don't want to think about how to cook breakfast. After 2 days I don't want that breakfast anymore.Rooms was nice.
We arrived mid-afternoon. Our two bedroom suite was in the very back building. Parking was already very limited. The double-glass doors were broken and would not open from the outside. Other occupants had propped the door open with a rock (safety?) Later that night we had to use a door on another side of the building because we could not access it with our key card. The rooms were not huge but were accommodating. The two room suite was basically two hotel rooms with a door between them; however, there was only one room with an exit. The second room had to walk through our room to get out of their room. It wasn't inconvenient for us, but for others, I could imagine it would be. The room never specified this detail when making the reservation. The breakfast was delicious and the options were numerous. The staff did not start taking away things right at 9am, which is always nice and conscious of the patrons. My kids were all about the waffles topping choices!
i didn't have any idea what to expect from this hotel, but figured that, for the price, it would be kind of middle of the road and i probably wouldn't get a good night's sleep. boy, was i wrong! this hotel was excellent, from the friendly, helpful staff at check in to the spotlessly clean room and surrounding grounds. i didn't hear a single sound throughout the night, either...so easy to sleep! then you get a better than most complimentary breakfast. i will be back in the area and will most definitely be staying in this hotel.
Wow! We got a room upgrade upon check-in. The hotel is clean, staff is friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is good (eggs, sausage, makings for breakfast burrito, toast, yogart, oatmeal, biscuits/gravy, fruit, waffles, and juices). You get a free drink, wine or beer, from the bar. The bar has nachos you can make. Hotel is quiet and it was completely booked while we stayed. Shopping is close by. We will be back.
Wow. What an awesome pet friendly place to stay. We were welcomed with a little bag of treats for our puppy. Loved the huge Oak Tree that shaded the courtyard and outside eating area. Super clean and updated rooms with Beds that hug you to sleep.
One of the better hotels in the area. Best Western is the only hotel chain that I prefer to stay in in when I'm traveling. As a chain, they are pretty consistent in their quality, and they offer a full array of of accommodations.
We had to take a room with two queen beds rather than a king and it was cramped. Too much furniture squeezed into the room. Our room happened to be near the pool, lounge, stairway and ice machine. It was noisy but did get quiet about 10. It would have been a great location if we had kids. Breakfast was better than average, lots of seating, and good fruit cocktail.
We frequently stay at this hotel for soccer tournaments. It is a very comfortable place to stay. The kids love the pool. The breakfast is great, lots of variety. Rooms are very comfortable. There is a very nice courtyard to sit and sip your complementary drink. I would highly recommend this hotel for families or groups.
Our recent stay at this hotel was okay. The room was clean and in good shape, but the overall property was loud and felt very communal. Hotel staff were warm and friendly at check in and check out. I'd represent our experience as a decent value, good enough for the low price.
This is a fairly large location with two courtyards; one has a pool and the other has a very nice outdoor patio. The external decor of the location is well kept but a little dated; once on the way to your room, that impression remains. There are only a couple of elevators, the desk clerk who checked me in was good enough to point out where best to park to shorten the walk from the parking lot to the elevator and on to my room. The staff is outstanding - courteous and helpful. I stayed in a king bed room, which was spotless. The only down gripe that I had was the fluctuation in water temperature. In my room, the tub and toilet area did not have a door to separate it from the remainder of the room. This was not a problem for me but might be if someone gets up in the middle of the night and wants light while they take care of business, so to speak. My room was on the third floor facing the pool and there was some noise from the pool activity but that went away promptly at 10 PM and also was not a problem for me. Once the pool noise stopped, my room was very quiet. This location offers a breakfast, which I found to be plentiful and tasty. All in all, this location is quite good for the price and I would happily stay there again.
We booked this room as a spur of the moment trip to Sacramento. Love the location. Easy to get to...easy to get to the freeway. Clean rooms. Secure. Nice staff. Very cute court yard and pool. Great rate too.
The rooms are really clean and super nice. The staff is very friendly. There is an awesome outdoor patio with a giant tree in the center of it located in the central courtyard, which kind of gives the impression that the hotel was built around the tree. It has a lounge on site and free breakfast in the morning that is better/more fancy than the standard fare you get at other places. Also, the rooms don't have paper thin walls, so it was very quiet. The curtains are light-blocking, so it stays dark in the room even in the morning.
Great hotel stay!!! All of the employees display Customer Service as a "+" here! We will be staying here again when in the area. The breakfast buffet was excellent - KUDOS to the chefs! The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. Glad we had the room with the refrigerator and the microwave oven.
The room was very nice an clean, it was like two room with the bath in between both rooms had phone, tv clock . Courtyard area was real nice, pool was nice with towels right there an clean. the only thing was in the morning if you didn't get to the breakfast early you missed out on some of the food. otherwise my stay was good.
Went to nearby casino for my birthday. The room was nice and the bed was comfy.. Like that the room had to TV's. Like to watch the late sports news without disturbing my wife's sleep. Breakfast was real good. Plenty of parking and we felt safe at night..Would stay here again..
Clean, quiet and comfortable. What more could you ask? Price was very competitive and staff was very pleasant. Would definitely stay again on a return trip. Mattress was firm and five pillows on a king bed was just right. I might have to see if they are for sale!!! ??????
Great place to stay in Roseville! Clean well kept grounds, Quiet even though is is near the freeway, nice courtyard to enjoy a drink before bed. Beds are comfortable and the breakfast is good. What else do you need?
Great service and pleasant stay, easy on and off freeway, close to many restruants and other business. Quite and nice. Close to Auburn and many god country sites. Not to far from Folsom Lake and Highway 49
We had a family event to go to so stayed over here. What a nice facility, and you get a free drink at the bar, plus breakfast included!!!! Nice big rooms, comfortable bed....all good. The only thing was all the noise at the pool, but the kids were having fun and that's ok with us too!! We had a room on the third floor and ther is an elevator too!!!! Well go back there again!!
Enjoyed our stay! To be welcomed with a cookie & get a free glass of wine & nachos were pleasant surprises. The "garden area" with that glorious tree in the center of the patio was beautiful! Delicious breakfast! Comfortable room & luxurious king-sized bed with lots of pillow -- excellent!
Unfortunately, I did not have the best experience staying at this hotel location. When I got to the lobby to check in, the front desk employee immediately commented if I am checking in, I would have to wait that people are still checking out. I told her I called 10 minutes prior to see our room was available to check in to be told yes. She asked for my name to see that there was a note that in my reservation from the person I spoke with had documented that I will be checking in shortly. The room my mom and I was had was facing the pool, with a bunch of screaming kids swimming. Plus you could hear anyone who walked pass. My mom is handicap, needs a cane to assist her with walking so where our room was located was a distance from the elevator which was uncomfortable for my mom. When we checked in the room it was extremely hot. I turned on the AC that was located in the far back of our room by the bed. Our room was split like two bedrooms, the bathroom and shower was between the 2 beds. My mom called the front desk to ask for someone to come look at the AC or if we could possibly be moved to another room. The gentleman at the front desk advised he will have the maintenance guy stop by our room within 10 minutes. He also advised that the hotel is sold out and he will not be able to accommodate another room for us. He also said he will have the maintenance guy bring a fan to our room to help circulate cool air. We waited about 20 minutes, my mom called again to be advised by the same person that the maintenance guy is in route driving the shuttle bus. My mom called again for the third time expressing her disappointment. This time she was speaking with the supervisor. He personally came to our room with the fan and set it up. He advised us that he sent the maintenance guy home since he had been working all day and he apologized for the inconvenience. We again asked him if there was another room different from the room we had, he advised all rooms are the same. That's not true. I have stayed in the far back executive suite area and the rooms are different. My mom and I went to a show with family. When we got back to the hotel later that night, there was no parking anywhere. No parking in front of the hotel, all the handicap parking was full. I had to drop my mom off so that I could drive all the way in the back to find “only” 3 parking places left. My mom would not have been able to walk that far. When we did get to our room, it was much cooler, so I guess it took a few hours for the cool air to finally circulate the whole room. I feel for a hotel located in a warmer area like Roseville, the AC should be up to par in every single room. There is no reason a fan should be brought up to help circulate cool air. This is the second time I've had a bad experience staying at this hotel. The other times I stayed prior were fine. Over all I am disappointed, and this will be the last time I stay at this hotel.
In spite of its ranking as a Best Western Plus, this property does not match other 'plus' properties we have stayed at. We arrived in late afternoon to a hot, stifling room. Whereas other hotels often have the air already on, here it was turned off altogether, in spite of 100+ degree weather. We ran the wall air fan unit on high at its lowest temp and the front desk sent us a fan to help get the air circulating more, but it took at least 4 hours for the cool air to reach the 2nd bed. Our room was split into 2 bedrooms with a bath area between them; so the air had no direct path to the 2nd bed. We asked for a different room and they refused, saying that there were 'no other rooms of this type' available. The hotel was not even close to capacity (maybe 1/3 filled), so this was simply a refusal of service. Making matters worse, the room was tiny and cramped. There was less than 2 feet of space surrounding the beds. The 'closet' consisted of a small space about 2 feetx18 inches that was not even deep enough to close without disturbing the clothes in it. The breakfast buffet was decent, nothing to write home about. We stayed 4 nights, so once we got the room cooled down and left the cooler running, the room stayed more habitable. The top floor was quite noisy whenever someone walked past. Late one evening it sounded like a whole team of kids came running past and pounded on our door, waking us from sleep. Not my idea of a restful night. The beds were comfortable in spite of the unfortunate events we experienced; but next time I will not choose to stay at this hotel.
Every softball team in the area was at one hotel and this must have been it. Total mad house, no hot water, breakfast line super long and ran out of everything, super messy; staff wasn't keeping up, unable to connect to the wifi to many users on it and housekeeping left empty dirty cups in room every day.
We had a very enjoyable time. The manager was wonderful and the staff friendly. The breakfast buffet we more than I imagined and the pool was delightful. Overall we had a wonderful time and we would definitely stay again.
stayed in the King suite, 4 people in room but didn't feel crowded. Double sleeper sofa was comfortable. room was very clean and smelled nice. On first floor but didn't notice any noise from neighbors above or beside. The hotel was completely booked for the night but didn't feel crowded. There was plenty of parking behind the hotel, and the staff made sure to remind us of where was appropriate to park.
Yolanda was great! Very good customer service. I suggested this to my boss and his executive team based on my last stay there. Yolanda was great to my crew and I then. She went above and beyond with my boss and his team, making me look good. Thank you again Yolanda and Best Western Plus Orchid. I will keep sending people your way because of Yolanda.
Their in-room suite is a unique and great type of room at the same price as a regular room. Everything was in tip top shape and worked. The service was perfect and even had free van service to the closeby Kaiser Hospital@!
We stay frequently at the Best Western Plus Orchid Suites, and thoroughly enjoy it. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are always clean and comfortable, the breakfast is excellent. We will return.
Flying 3,000 miles across country to meet family about your mother's placement in a home and placing her with Hospice was a very difficult trip for me. Staying at this motel uplifted my spirits in a way that told me there were the most caring people this far away from my home in North Carolina. Thank you Carol & Yolanda for your hard work & your gracious assistance during our stay in Roseville. Will stay again on our return trip back!
I just returned from a three night stay at the Best Western Plus Orchid Hotel in Roseville, CA; and I wanted to take the time to thank its staff for a wonderful experience. After having stayed for many years at a Hilton Hotel brand property, I had my brother check out this hotel for hosting my Mom's funeral memorial reception, as well as accommodating our family members from out-of-town; and I am glad he did. This hotel went above and beyond for my family. Sara Hellums assisted my brother in booking a perfect reception room that overlooked a large courtyard with an oak tree, and securing a group rate for our family members. Everyone was wonderful during our stay, including the banquet set-up staff of Kevin and Hector, who took the time with us making sure everything was in order. Carol was a delight at the front desk. The rooms were nicely furnished (this property had been recently remodeled). Breakfast was simple and efficient. All and all, the location and staff did an outstanding job during our emotional time. Thank you from the Coats family.
I had finished up business in the bay area and headed toward Reno, but just to tired to continue and saw the Best Western sign and decided to stay. Clean facility and worth the money. Will stay here again.
Had a family reception for approx. 40 people and needed a place in Roseville/Rocklin area. After checking several other hotels in area we met with Sara at the Orchid Hotel and Suites. She was very helpful, staff was excellent, room was clean and perfect. They set up room well before our event with round tables & chairs, 3 rectangle tables, linen and table skirts included, also supplied ice and water for quest. Their price was below others and they wanted our business, returned calls, answered questions and were friendly to all. Would use them again and recommend meeting rooms to all.
I like Best Westerns, you know what you are in for. The rooms surround the pool area, so it is noisy. The walls are thin as well. The free breakfast is really good, eggs, hash browns etc. the bed was comfortable and everything worked. The location is close to all sorts of stores and restaurants, it is really convenient.
The staff and hotel are wonderful. I travel a great deal and this is the best hotel so far. Your stay will be to the best of their ability. If you wish housekeeping at a certain time they will do their best. I will not stay at another hotel when I am in Roseville.
This motel is right off I-80 and a great location. Friendly staff, clean rooms and free breakfast. We stayed in a king suite which was more than we needed but was upgraded after they oversold their standard king room. This room would be great for anyone traveling for an extended work trip or possibly a large family as it has basically 2 areas that can be divided with pocket doors. Both rooms have televisions. The king bed had 6 pillows (and not the wonky little ones) if you are a pillow hog. If you want to partake in the free breakfast, which I've heard is the best out there in the free hotel variety, they quit cooking at 9am. But if you sleep late, there is a Mel's Diner nearby. We will defiantly be back when we stay in the Sacramento area again.
The overall trip was peaceful and serene. I would recommend the Orchid Inn to friends and family. It can be a bit pricy but the service was very good. For example the toilet seat was very loose we called the front desk to have maintenance come and fix it. It took them less than 30 min to come and take care of the problem.
The outside may look a little dated but the staff and the comfortable beds and guest room size more than make up for it. Breakfast was more than a danish and bowl of captain crunch. I am talking fresh made scrambled eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, waffles and much more. Breakfast was incredible!!!
Nice place to stay with many restaurants and malls at walking distance. Clean and quiet but compact rooms, very good breakfast, nice and helpful front desk people and good wi-fi. A little far from the airport but a good hub to know all the Sacramento region.
We found this hotel to be super nice. The whole staff were friendly and happy to be there. The room was very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was actually real scrambled eggs, real hash browns and real sausage! Not common for most hotels. Plus they had numerous other breakfast items. We will definitely stay there again.
The room was very clean, every thing was working. It did not have a problems trying to use the WIFI, connected right away. There was lots of places to eat in the immediate area. its nice they offer drinks in the evening.
One of the very best based on Breakfast and hotel front desk. Question the cleaning policy and linen policy. This hotel has a group/convention room policy so if you don't get told then you have to live with whatever they bought. Gladly mine was only a Baby Shower for about four hours so .....discuss. My overall is a Four Stars.
We were greeted quickly, and with friendly and accommodating attitudes! I had some special requests that were met with no problems. The hotel is older, but clean. The room was updated with a newer, updated decor. Also, clean. The elevator was very helpful to move luggage, etc. It's nice to have a room with fridge and microwave without having to pay extra. Beds comfortable. We had a plugged toilet, and they were there within minutes of the call. Two complaints.... -The hot water was very slow to come, fluctuated while in shower, or didn't get more than warm. But no cold shower, just like warm. -I hate when there's no guide for the tv. We had no idea what was on and when. The tv response is super slow, so scanning through was a pain. All in all, good visit. We'll probably stay there again.
The facility is very nice and the front desk very accommodating. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. My ongoing problem with Best Western no matter what city is the noisy fan in the bathroom and the use of paper products for their breakfast. I bring my own coffee mug, but how difficult would it be to provide "real" cups and plates for breakfast? Their breakfast was better than some Best Western hotels I've stayed at recently.
Very nice place. Right off the freeway. Staffing is very professional and accommodating. Needed a bottle opener and front desk sent someone up in less than 10 min. Would definitely stay there again in the future! The cleanest rooms in all of Roseville!
Me and some of my girlfriends stayed here for a girls night out and everything was great. We got a nice suite in the back with two kings beds and two bathrooms!! The breakfast was great and the lounge was nice. We will be back next time we get together for a girls night.
We received two complimentary drinks at the bar and our bill came with free hot breakfast at 6:30AM. The room was great! It came with coffee maker, tea, fridge, and microwave. The bed was very comfortable! Stayed here twice already, and I'll be back!
Yolanda at the front desk was Outstanding from the time we checked in till the time we checked. Yolanda went out of her way to accommodate us all of our party. She made us feel welcome and comfortable. Thanks to Yolanda we will most certainly be back. Anna was also great very helpful.
Having had a great experience during a previous stay, we opted to stay at this property again. We chose the executive wing which is considerably nicer, however, during this stay we experienced kids running up and down the hall and noisy guests above us, so this stay was not quite as nice as the previous stay. Overall the hotel is in a good location, clean, comfortable, competent staff, and it has a good breakfast.
I tend to check my room before settling down. I found popcorn and the stick from a lollipop on the floor behind the bed skirt. A pillowcase had hair and a stain on it, and I even found an earring back under the mattress. It's a little odd to check there, but I hear that you should check there and in the folds of the sheets for bed bugs. There were also crumbs in the chair. This might be average for a hotel, but I'll never come back.
We drove over Donner Pass in a foot of snow on a Sunday evening and it took four hours to go 40 miles. Anf it was pouring when we got there. We were happy to find this place available and allow pets for a $20 fee. We were on the top floor but the elevator saved us. The breakfast was great and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and quiet. There was a nice courtyard area that would have been nice use in drier weather. Very nice!
Clean and comfortable room as a stopover for a family of 4. Spacious room with choice of set up. Good value for a family for an overnight stay, rate included breakfast which was reasonable. Free wifi however was very hard to pick up, generally could not access it due to low signal.
This is a great place to stay at, the staff treats you well and helps out. They made me feel "at home" Their breakfast is amazing! Staff, Rich and Tommy, at the front desk are professional. I would come back again, thank you!
Motel is clean, and room was quite spacious. Would stay here again, Beautiful oak tree in interior courtyard, and happy hour in afternoon with two drinks gratis per room! (this last bit is just to fill up my review to the required 200 characters.)
I have stayed before, however, this time I got hives from the towel's and bedding. High bleach smell in the bedding, towels were stiff and smelled of bleach. Not sure if the chemicals or cleaning supplies have changed from my previous stays.
We really enjoyed our visit at this Best Western. It was very nice and the room was clean and bed very comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good, and warm. Close to the freeway and a few restaurants and stores, gas stations, etc. The staff was very friendly and ready to assist if needed.
Wifi did not work in our room. Went to the lobby and it worked there but as soon as we got in the room it would not work. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Our remote didn't work either but the guy came right away to change it out. Breakfast was probably the best I have had in all my stays at a Best Wester. Fluffy scrambled eggs, great potatoes, and the girls in there were hard working and very nice. Very quiet and very good location. Will stay again!
This isn't your normal Best Western - I was totally amazed at the service and friendliness of this hotel and staff. Clean and modern rooms, fluffy towels, 4 pillows per bed, and very well maintained. The included warm breakfast has enough items to satisfy every member of the family, and they provide 3 different newspapers every morning in the lobby. Everything in the room worked and the staff was always asking if there was anything else they could do to make my visit more comfortable. This is a place I will try and book first next time I'm staying in the area.
I have always stayed at this hotel when I'm in Sacramento area on business. Wonderful and very helpful staff, updated comfortable rooms, all the amenities you would want. A wide variety of restaurants close by.
I stay here frequently and love the hotel and area. The hotel is in a great location near the interstate and has many places to eat and shop nearby. The staff at this hotel are always very professional and at the top of their game! Rooms are great and not a lot of riff raff in the area! Highly recommended!
This isn't one of the very best hotels that I have stayed in, but it isn't bad. I found the staff to be friendly! The room was clean and would do for what my needs are. The breakfast was very good! This hotel is located near a variety of restaurants, bars and other amenities a traveler might need.
Front desk was very accommodating and wonderful to work with on registration and check in. Breakfast was good. The hotel is very clean and you can tell it very well taken care of. Loved the queen beds being separated and had two flat screens. Along with it was nice to have a refrigerator and microwave in the room. Parking was close and elevator was right next to where we parked.
From the front desk to breakfast staff, everyone was friendly and helpful. Room was clean with plentiful towels. Modest fitness center with bike and treadmill. Surprised by variety of options at breakfast: eggs, granola, yogurt, cereal, pastries, fresh fruit. Located near freeway which made traveling to my business appointments easy. Also located near several restaurants and stores if you need a meal or forgot something at home. I would definitely recommend this place to others.
Well, I guess I should have known it would end this way given it is a Best Western but ignorantly I thought maybe this would be an exception given the reviews I read...but sadly NOPE! If you enjoy the sound of the Freeway lulling you to sleep and an elevator that may or may not actually make it to the floor without stopping and opening halfway between floors then this is the place for you! I have to say the room itself in the "Executive Building" wasn't bad, once we got the key to the correct room. Sadly, the front desk gave us the wrong room number so we had a very awkward moment with a very nice sleeping couple when we attempted to enter their room thinking it was ours. So we made the 10 minute walk back to the front desk with all our luggage to get the CORRECT room number. Our room, let's see, the bed was horribly uncomfortable, the Freeway noise was overwhelming, the refrigerator did not work and when it did start working it froze everything we put inside. NEVER AGAIN!
We enjoyed a three night stay in a comfortable, quiet and clean room. The full service breakfast buffet was an added benefit. Even though the hotel is older it is kept in good shape and we ould happily return.
room was clean, good value for the price, staff was friendly and quick to solve a problem with the plumbing, free breakfast was average as they usually are everywhere however this hotel had a little pancake maker which was fun
We were on our way thru town & decided to stop for the night and were very happy with this hotel. Nice & helpful staff, great rooms and fairly comfortable beds. Breakfast though standard fair for a hotel breakfast was very good and very fresh. I understand that they also have a happy hour in the evenings although we were not there in time for that it is a nice perk.
Clean room, clean sheets, pet friendly, but a bit pricey for the location. There is no do-not-disturb hang tag in the room. Also on the second day, the house-keeping crew did not replenish shampoo and conditioner. I guess they expected the four of us to use only one small tube of shampoo and conditioner for our two-day stays.
Wish the property had better wifi. the wifi was so weak. we wanted to use our gadgets to watch some movies but there was no internet in the rooms. there was strong wifi in the lobby, but once you get to the room, there's nothing. also we could hear the noise from the next room. it was ok though since it stopped after 11pm. I will still consider staying in the property though.
Everything he real great nice and clean lovely establishment the service is qlso wondearful staff very helpful and the breakfast fresh and delicious. The hot tub was actually working in use and clean also nor an over bearing smell of chlorine
Not bad at all for an old Orchid Suites. BW did a nice job of making the hotel pleasant and comfortable. WiFi worked like a charm and breakfast was better than most. The only negative was a slow camode that eventually overflowed. The previous occupants stuffed objectionable objects with predictable results.
2nd time staying here for our annual golf trip and we love it. The semi private rooms are perfect for a bunch of guys on a guy trip, you have your own space to yourself without having to get separate rooms. Very clean and fantastic staff.
The check in staff does a great job getting our rooms ready before we arrive-sign and go. Very professional and friendly! They are on top of their games! The rooms are always clean and comfortable. Close to the interstate and restaurants are also nearby. You get bang for your buck at this place!
Stayed at this hotel and had a great stay. Clean room, very nice staff and a good breakfast. Good layout for our family of 4. The rooms in the back building were really nice! Will be back the next time I am in town.
GREAT ROOMS N GREAT SERVICE!! Clean as a whistle!! Rooms and grounds where clean The rooms are divided for 2 beds which makes it private Compared to your standard hotel rooms FOOD Breakfast was full on Eggs Bacon Sausage Shredded Potatoes Cereals Muffins Bagels English Muffins Etc. Tommy Hotel Clerk was on it No wait No hassle Very helpful I would stay here again without a second thought I travel for work so this was business
Plan to stay here, whenever we go to Roseville. Love their room configuration with two separate bedrooms in one room. Good breakfast and free happy hour. Lindsey Roach, front desk mgr, was willing to help us, when we had a last minute schedule change and forgot to change our reservation.
I chose this hotel because of others reviews so I suppose I should return the favor. My brother and I arrived at this hotel about midnight directly from the airport. It's in kind of a weird (my opinion of most suburbs) suburban business area. Nothing around the area was really open except a sports bar. Anyway... The guy at the desk was really friendly, helpful and efficient. The hotel itself, is kind of typical construction for the era... not great but passible. The rooms, however, were really nice, especially for the money. Two TV's (even though one remote was missing batteries) , two beds, etc. Very nice. The fan in our bathroom wasn't working but that's a pretty minor failure. Breakfast, for a U.S. hotel was quite good. Actual breakfast instead of a cereal box and milk. Thanks and cool! Would I stay there again.....definitely!
This is a clean and well run first drawer hotel operation. The person who stood out and made my stay truly enjoyable was front desk person Yolanda. She is ebullient, sweet, intelligent and 100% accommodating. Her warm smile and desire to please--was truly a pleasure. Also, not only is Yolanda an outstanding individual performer--she also excelled as a team player vis a vis her interaction with housekeeping, laundry, houseman etc. Thank you Yolanda for making my stay such a pleasure. I will, without any hesitation whatsoever, recommend this hotel property to all of my friends, family and business associates. Thank you again!
Convenient on/off highway. Clean, well maintained, large rooms, accommodating staff. Full continental breakfast is offered: scrambled eggs with salsa and cheese, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, yogurt, waffles with many toppings, fresh fruit. oatmeal, juices, milk, coffee, tea.
I stayed in a double room with a mini fridge and microwave and loved it! It kind of felt like two rooms, because the bathroom is located between the two beds which gives the people sleeping in each bed a lot of privacy. Not to mention that each bed has their own TV! This was beyond awesome for me to be able to watch the channels I want to in bed while the occupants in the other bed can watch whatever they want on TV! There was also a awesome happy hour where nacho's and beer and wine were served complimentary! Not to mention great cookies and coffee in the lobby, (also complimentary) and an outstanding breakfast where every breakfast food is served! They had scrabbled eggs, sausages, pancakes, waffles, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, pastries, toast, juices and more. This hotel by far exceeded my expectations and I will be back and referring family and friends here. Great hotel!
Stayed here before. Very friendly staff, very nice rooms, good breakfast selection. Will stay here again when passing through or in the area on business. Even though near the freeway, didn't hear the traffic.
Has everything you need: place to sleep, shower, watch tv, etc in a clean environment that is easy to get to from the freeway. Large complex with lots of amenities. I think the only thing they're missing are safes in the room. There is a fan on constant,y in the bathroom so there is a constant hum but it's not bad or overpowering.
I love this place and will stay here again, but I did have a problem this time. I didn't report it because it was early morning hours..12:00 - 5:00. Don't know who was above us or if it was a employee working room, but someone was walking 90% of the time. Next time I go, I will ask for an upstairs room. I almost asked for a discount. I should have called the front desk.
We booked this hotel for just a place to crash when visiting family - and it exceeded our expectations. The price was good (around $65) and the hotel had lots of good features - a really excellent full-cooked breakfast with lots of fresh options, a clean refurbished room. It appears to be an older property that is in the process of being rehabbed (our room in the "executive wing" was pretty nice) and is VERY well managed. Kudos to the staff for working hard to make our stay nice. If you've stayed in budget hotels and nice hotels - this has characteristics of both - in a great combination for the price.
We've stayed at this location several times in the past two years because our son & family live nearby. This is the first time that we've experienced problems with our room reservation -- we requested a room for 3 adults w/2 queen beds and were given a room with one queen & a sofa bed. We checked in late at night and were too exhausted to report the issue due to the fact that it was late on Christmas Eve and we were only staying one night. I never received a confirmation letter about the reservation -- if I had, I would have caught the discrepancy in the reservation. This location was undergone several upgrades in the last two years, resulting in better security. I do recommend this location though.
I think the morning guys name is Matt and the security dude Paul made my stay amazing felt like I was family drinking my coffee in the morning I like to conversate and they stopped what they were doing and gave me there time made this the best hotel I stay at
First time here. Love our unusual room configuration with 2 queen beds in 2 separate rooms, with the bathroom between. Would be good if you were traveling with kids, but worked well for the two of us, because my husband could watch tv until the wee hours, and I could go to sleep. Each bedroom has a tv, so we could each watch the programs we enjoy. No door between the rooms, but it still works. Surprised to find a happy hour Mon-Sat that lasts from 5:30 - 9:30 with two complimentary drinks. Mike, the bartender is a great host. Lots of choices for the complimentary breakfast and enough tables.
We booked this hotel when we visited Roseville with my family. The stay was pretty OK and room was clean. Love that this hotel is non smoking. Breakfast was good and we would stay here again if we have yo visit Roseville.
The walls are tissue thin and you can hear conversations and TV from rooms on each side. It has not been recently renovated and could have smelled fresher. Never again!! We failed to see the Plus in this Best Western.
this was one of the best rooms and night sleep i have ever got for the price. It was a very roomy room clean and comfortable. it had a whirlpool tub and a seperate living room and 2 48' tv's and all the amieties
Have stayed at this hotel several times and really enjoyed every stay. Very clean and comfortable with a staff that is warm, friendly and ready to act. The continental breakfast is more than one could expect since it far exceeds the usual donut and coffee most hotels serve. I would recommend this hotel to all my family and friends.
We have stayed at this hotel many times in the past several years. Best Western made much-needed upgrades when they acquired property a couple of years ago. The staff is always very friendly and anxious to make sure everything is just as you require. Rooms are clean and quite roomy. Mattresses not overly comfortable but that is probably to be expected.
I stayed here on Black Friday. I loved the extra touch of the services they offer as I used the wrapping station for gifts and noticed they had a shuttle to the mall. I have stayed here 3 times now and slept very well. I like that I can walk to shopping and restaurants nearby. The staff is on top of things and I feel safe staying at this location. Beds are nice.
i liked this place. good price and good rooms. the breakfast was nice. coffee is not as good as other hotels but it's not bad. internet and tv keep disconnecting but i didn't call the hotelb to fix it though. most of my time was out of the hotel
Once again we spent the Thanksgiving time at the Best Western Plus Orchid Hotel and Suites, Roseville. We love this hotel and are never disappointed. We have family in Roseville and this hotel has become "our hotel" while we're visiting. We've watched it grow and change over the past 20 years. Thank you for providing a comfy place for us in our home away from home.
We had come to Roseville for a Family event. We had an overall great experience with Best Western and cant wait to come back next year. We had a pet and when making the reservation I was thinking that if we stay in a pet room the room would have a pet odor to it definitely not the case at all. The hotel was great the staff was great it was clean and right around the corner from the family event
Hotel has a lovely exterior, rooms décor needs updated, mattress was not really comfy. The room was clean, although there was a slight odor of age (little musty). Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was by far better than most BW, eggs, Hash Browns, waffles, fruit, pancakes, asst cerals and pastries. Location was good close to I-80. Internet was a little hard to connect to, and was very slow. This BW could use a little TLC but is much better than the one on the other side of the freeway, would stay here again when in the area.
My husband and I were very impressed. Not only did we get a complimentary drink in the lounge, but the breakfast was great. Most hotels offer a continental (mostly bread items) for breakfast. Oh, not the Orchid! There were eggs, sausage and hash browns for gluten free eating. As well as biscuits and gravy, pancakes and waffles for those that like to indulge. We have now found a new place to stay when we are in Roseville. Thanks for the great accommodations!
A very good place all around. The rooms are clean, beds very comfortable, and the breakfast satisfactory. Also easy access from/to the 80fwy, yet the noise is not a problem while in the room. Compared with other hotels I stayed at in the past, this was a good deal for the money. Enjoy!!!
Great rooms and very clean. The staff is excellent and always there to help! Easy on and off the interstate and many places to choose from to eat or shop nearby! We have been staying here for a few years and they treat us like royalty. Highly recommended!
I just wish the rooms were not so noisy! Could hear the other people in rooms beside & walking outside past the room. The room was comfortable. Shower was hot & had pressure with quality linens. Nice breakfast. Big TV.
Wow! This was a great hotel ... * Clean and nice room - spacious and enjoyable * Quiet hotel - despite the pool and bar area outside, it was quiet the weekend we were there * Courteous and helpful staff - accommodated our every request with a smile * An incredible hot buffet breakfast - from scrambled eggs to hash browns and waffles - and so much more - you will enjoy this one! Stay here! Period!
We came for an annual swimming competition and had a great time. In addition to clean rooms and full hot breakfast, the courtyard made a particularly awesome spot for a team dinner, when everyone could relax and enjoy good times with teammates and friends. Nice property; well maintained.
I stay here regularly for business and over time the staff is consistently very friendly and helpful. The rooms are always clean and tidy and everything functions well, ie. the air conditioner, the shower, the fridge etc. I like the location because it is quiet. The parking lot is patrolled and safe. the breakfast is very good, and the lounge is great in the evening if you want a good beer to relax before bed. The beds are very comfortable and the mattresses seem new as there is no sag in them like I've experienced at other motels. My only issue is there is only one light blanket and I tend to get chilled at night if I'm not careful setting the air conditioner before bed. Give them a try, I think this is a great place!
there is a nice little lounge with a friendly bartender, pool and hot tub were great, I stay here regularly because the breakfast, fitness room and staff are great. It is always clean and I have forgotten things on many occasions and the staff are quick to help any way they can.
clean rooms, daily service, great breakfast and the lounge one free pint a night per room. Great parking security cameras. Super great front desk help. Shuttle service to 5 miles from site. Freeway close, breweries abound around here.
The staff and hotel are wonderful. The staff will go out of their way to make your stay wonderful and if you need anything extra they will help you get it. They are extremely friendly and will do their best to make your stay the best they can.
Our soccer team booked several rooms here in October for our first travel tournament. We wanted to make sure the boys had fun during their stay but also were well rested for their games. The staff at the hotel were friendly and extremely helpful. They saw to it that we had everything we needed - - extra blankets and towels, directions to the nearest grocery store, restaurant recommendations- even a pencil for my son to do his homework! The hotel itself was clean and comfortable and the beautiful courtyard area and pool were enjoyed by all. The complimentary drinks for the parents were a plus! Overall the hotel exceeded our expectations and we would definitely stay there again!
If you are traveling with a pet, this is the place to stay! Many hotels do not accept pets at all and I found that if they did they either charged outrageous fees or that their accomodations were inferior. Not so here! The fee for accepting our pet was nominal and the provisions made for it were great! We received a stainless steel food bowl we could keep, waterproof pads, and dog cookies. Additionally, the rooms were clean and modern. There was even a FAN in the bathroom (something some hotels have inexplicably forsaken). There were outlets on the lamps beside each bed that would allow you to charge your computer or cell phone as long as you had an adaptor. Linens were clean and fresh and floors were well kept and up-to-date. Breakfast was VERY good! Every day we stayed there were many options from which to choose: Make-your-own pancake and waffles, scrambled eggs, sausages of varying kinds, fresh fruit, muffinsm bread, bagels, yogurt, two kinds of juice, ice water, coffee, tea, and a host of complimentary sides like salsa, cheese, etc. The food quality was EXCELLENT. I travel to many different cities and this is definitely a first-class breakfast; the place I stayed at before (not a Best Western) had similar offerings that were very poor in quality. Everything here is top quality. I should add that the location was excellent - right off the freeway and very near to many amenities.
Loved bar and how close every thing is. The staff was really friendly and helped me any time I needed any thing. Also love the free breakfast. My room was clean and smelled great. Really comfortable room lots of space
I like staying at Best Western as they usually have reasonably high standards at less than break the budget rates, This one isn't one of the best I've visited, I expected a little better at over $100 per night. It wasn't bad, maybe average. Breakfast was standard (I liked it) fare, well stocked. Most of the employees I dealt with were very good, except the shuttle crew that left me waiting for an hour. Building and rooms were okay. Felt dated and in need of attention. The neighborhood was commercial and seemed safe enough. Easy freeway access.
From the property, rooms service and employees this is always where we stay when in town. They treat sports families great. Couldn't imagine staying anywhere else when we are there! Will continue to use this hotel above all others in the area!
We were looking for a hotel for our 1st travel tournament from the Bay Area (Boys aged 10-11). This hotel is in a great location, right off the freeway & near all kinds of restaurants. The staff was very friendly & helpful, easy to check in and out. Our room was clean, with comfy beds & a sofa that pulled out into an extra bed. We also had a fridge, microwave & AC which was great to cool off with after a long day of soccer in the heat. Our stay included a complimentary breakfast which saved us a lot of time. Also, the boys had a great time using the pool & hot tub. They also have a bar & patio area for the adults to enjoy in the evening as well. We had a great experience and would definitely stay there again if we are in the area.
This hotel and chain are horrible. After a mistake on online/cell app made a reservation error, they were unable to cange and would not refund my money. I called 2 minutes after the mistake occurred. I have talked to 3 people both at Hotel and corporate and all they say is "to bad". Shame on them and I recommend to never ver ue this Hotel or Worst Western hotels
We got a room with two beds, but each bed was in its own seperate room, connected by a small short hall. There was no door between the rooms. Each room was small and cramped. This setup might be OK for some, but we missed the expanse of a large room...as one lays in bed or watches TV, one feels like one is in a really small room. Otherwise, the hotel was great...the grounds are beautiful (there is a massive ancient and beautiful oak tree in the middle of the hotel) and the rooms rooms are clean. They have a happy hour where two complimentary beers, wine, or sodas are offered. There's a swimming pool, spa, and workout room. Pets are permitted...there's a $20 charge. One problem we had was the noise level...there is a pool and there is a small putting green...when there is activity in these areas, the noise carries easily to all the rooms surrounding the courtyard...if you want quiet, get a room off of the courtyard in the attached building that has no rooms overlooking the courtyard.
Stayed here for a traveling sports event. The room was clean but the walls are thin which allows you to hear EVERYTHING that is going on outside your room or in the rooms next door. I could hear people walking by and when the neighbor flushed their toilet and took a shower. The complimentary breakfast was less than desirable. If you are craving a sugar laden breakfast or artificial scrambled eggs then this is the place for you. There were no healthy choices for breakfast only waffles, pastries, cereal with sugar, white bread parading as whole wheat, etc. The parking lot was also an interesting place. The parking stalls were so small you could barely fit a medium sized car within the lines. There were also some sketchy characters loitering in the parking lot when we arrived and then there were the men that were hanging out in the tailgate of their truck drinking beer for at least 2 hours. Overall, average hotel.
From the time we arrived to the time we left, we were blown away by the friendliness of the staff and comfort of the stay. At check in we were greeted as if we were truly welcome in their place. We received two free drinks at the hotel bar. The bar tender was as friendly and sincere as the rest of the staff. A fabulous free breakfast was included with the reservation. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Our room was booked on priceline so we had no idea what we would get. If we're ever in the vicinity of Roseville again, we will definitely reserve this place
Stayed one night, restful sleep. Hotel has a figure 8 configuration: two separate plazas surrounded by three floors of rooms. One plaza had a seating area and a bar while the other plaza had a swimming pool with a seating area for guest. We were assigned, as requested, a room on the third floor facing the swimming pool. We arrived in the early evening: check in was quick and the staff provide us info about breakfast, free evenings drinks, and general info. And our room was clean and comfortable When we travel our first option is always to see of a BW is located in the area, and, because we know we would have a late start, we decided to stay at Orchid Hotel. We slept well; had a good breakfast and took off. For sure we would stay again.
On a recent business trip, I picked the Best western Plus Orchid Suites. This is a great example of the best that this hotel chain has to offer. Large clean rooms, crystal pool, friendly/helpful front desk. Loved my shower: We all want to conserve but the shower was perfect. The breakfast was very good for this type of buffet breakfast; they might consider a little more re-stocking, but they were very busy. They have one of the largest oak trees that I have ever seen with tables for beverages and snacks under the branches. That is the oasis I mentioned. The huge deck was packed with folks enjoying the evening and refreshments form the Manager's Reception. Well done. Oh yeah...loved the rate compared to the other local hotels.
I've been staying at this hotel for the last 7 months on and off and it doesn't get any better than this! The staff are all very professional and very willing to help. The place is clean-great rooms, beds, with all the ammenities! Huge flat screen TV's! Highly recommended! Right off "the 5" and 80 and lottsa places to dine and drink nearby!
We have stayed here two times in the past year with a group of our friends. This place is great! The courtyard/lounge area is a wonderful place to relax and spend time together. The rooms themselves are not the greatest. It is an older property and the rooms show this. However, they are clean and in working order. We stayed in a room with 2 queen beds. The beds were comfortable. The layout of the room is such that the bathroom is between the beds so there is a feel of there being two rooms in one. The problem with this is that the air conditioner is in the back room and the cold air doesn't reach the front room very well. This is easily solved by requesting a fan from the front desk. Since this was our second stay, we were aware of this and I requested a fan when I made the reservations. The fan was drought to our room before we even had a chance to put down our luggage. Both halves of the room cooled of quite nicely in a short amount of time. The breakfast has a variety of options. The breakfast room is large and holds many people. The only negative of the breakfast experience was that we had o leave the hotel early, which meant that we needed to be at breakfast right when it opened. We got there a few minutes before it was supposed to open. Most places will let you start your waffle or get cereal before they are actually open for breakfast. However, they kept the room locked (with us waiting outside) right up until the time breakfast was supposed to start. A bit annoying.
The rooms were spacious, and well designed. The staff was friendly and took care of my needs as soon as I expressed them. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was extraordinary. The breakfast hostess, Ashley, cleaned the guest tables as soon as guests left, and engaged me in conversation easily during my visit to the dining area.
Great Value for room including breakfast and evening beverages. Best Western was located with several restaurants walking and short driving distance. I would recommend a stay at this location and I personally would stay again.
We've been holding a personal growth intensive at this hotel on a monthly basis for several years. The guest rooms are comfortable and well-kept, and the meeting rooms are excellent. Highly recommend!
I stayed at this property approximately 2 yrs ago and there were several issues. I was hesitant to waste my points on another stay but decided to give them another try. Whoops nothing changed. I was upgraded to a "suite" that was so warm when I went in I had to turn on AC and leave for a while. The ac only cools half the room, unfortunately its not the half with the bed. Television was dish network supplied and need I say more there were nothing but problems. I asked 3 different shifts if they could get the problems corrected so I could watch baseball and was lied to. I asked the front desk if I could check out due to the problems I was having and was told they would look into my file and call me back never received a call back. So I wasted 3 nights of points and decided to stay the last night and chalk it up to anther bad best western experience. That's the problem with B.W. brand you never know what your getting if you haven't stayed at the property before. I was talking with other patrons and it seemed they were saying the same things but had no choice on their stay as work paid for it.
Room was nice. Breakfast was nice, although you missed it if you were up, dressed and down to lobby by 9am. 10am would have been preferable. The parking lot was inadequate for the facility, always a chore finding a parking space. Hotel should rent the eastside space from Enterprise for parking. Tried to get another luggage rack for the room, but gave up after asking a few times. Also front desk staff very inexperienced in hotel hospitality, cookies nice, but didn't make up for the lack of training and service.
We arrived late in the evening and had driven for 10 hours prior. Needless to say we were tired. We called prior to see if there were any rooms available for four nights and over the weekend. We were unable to get any of the travel sites to respond about availability. When we called we talked to Sarah, she told us that Saturday had been blocked out due to a large booking over the weekend; softball tournament happening. She worked with us over the phone and said she would make accommodations for us. Several of the other Hotels around the area were already sold out. When we got there I went in and met Sarah and she was very friendly and helpful. She offered a 10 percent discount for being a member of the BW rewards club. I told her we were in town for a family wedding and she said there was a discount for that also; which she gave us. To top it off, she put us into a room in the executive wing of the hotel. Never been in that type of room and it was very nice. The wife and I were very pleased. Sarah did a very nice job and had our interest in mind; she was definitely on our side. Thank you, Sarah! BW bought out the previous company that owned the property and updated everything. The lighting in our room was great, not a dim area at all. Excellent stay, will book again if ever in the area.
We paid extra for the pillow top King suite room so we would have a comfortable bed, it was very comfortable and we enjoyed the second TV with the sofa. Pool was very crowded with children and seemed to have a private party going on, so we ventured out instead of relaxing in the hot tub/pool. I would ask first next time to see if there are any children's sports events going on before staying here.
the best and well positioned hotel in the area, rooms very comfortable and well set up. very professional staff. breakfast was well supplied and very good variety's of food. coffee was bold and always hot.
The rooms are always very clean, although this time the bath tub stopper wasn't working. It really wasn't a problem as we took showers. We arrived just 1-1/2 hrs prior to check-in time, but were told that no rooms were available; yet, there didn't seem to be a lot of people staying at the hotel while we were there. Understandable, however, this is the first time we've ever been turned away.
This has to be the Best of the Best, it does not matter in what city I have worked in or vacation in, it is always clean and the service is always superb, the hotels my not look like the 5 star hotels but they give you the 5 star treatment. I particular love the breakfast not only it is delicious "special the waffles" it is very convenient special when you're on the road working... Breakfast always feels like you are in your own home. I love the people that work in the breakfast area they make you feel at home.
