Such a friendly hotel. The communication with the hotel prior to arrival was super quick and clearly nothing was going to be a problem. The receptionist on arrival looked after us superbly and notified the kitchen of our late arrival. Dinner was good and we were well taken care of. Sadly we woke to about 100 yards visibility so never got to see the lake which was a shame. Anyhow, breakfast was great and checking out was equally swift and friendly. All in all a brief but lovely stay.

I stayed in the new part of the hotel with a lakeside balcony. The room was tastefully decorated and the bathroom was gleaming and modern; both were a good size. The hotel's in a quiet location but the lake, motorway and St. Gallen are within easy reach. The restaurant served delicious local specialities. Staff were welcoming, attentive and professional. I'd definitely stay here again!

We had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Clean and spacious. The restaurant has amazing views of the lake but you need to book ahead (we missed out one night). A good place for a relaxing holiday stay.

Reception staff at this hotel were great and extremely helpful Our room was spacious and comfortable and had a safe deposit box. We had beautiful views of the lake from our room balcony. The bathroom was clean but has really weird glass doors which meant that from the bed it was possible to see anyone using the bathroom. Additionally anyone using the bathroom in the night and needing to put on the light lit up the whole room. The hotel is not near anything else so a car is needed. Breakfast was included and was very good. Excellent choice. We had dinner at the hotel twice. The food was good ant typically expensive Swiss prices. On the second night we were shown to our pre-booked table by a waitress. Not long after we were seated an older male waiter came across and demanded to know why we were sitting there. We explained we had booked a table and had been seated here but a waitress. At this point we expected an apology but that didn't come. He started to say that he had to make sure we hadn't taken someone else's table. Basically he made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome, so much so that we went out for dinner on our remaining nights at the hotel.

I stay 5 night in this hotel was really nice hotel, large rooms, comfortable, clean, nice breakfast and the people are smiling all the time welcoming the guests. Not all the rooms have a safe box, no shops or activities around the hotel.

Stayed for 2 nights here. The room was spacious and clean. Nothing extraordinary but good standards. The hotel was nicely located with a great view over the lake. There was complementary wifi. Last but not least, the resturant at the hotel offered very good food.

We stayed here 1 night. The stuff was very friendly, room was nothing special but comfortable with amazing view. There is an restaurant and the food was delicious and for breakfast there is enough to choose from. We had a nice stay and would visit this hotel again.

On our 2 week trip we spent nights at 5 different hotel/b&b's across the country and this was the most comfortable room with the best bed we experienced along with the best lighting and the largest, most comfortable shower. All the room's fixtures worked beautifully as did the other places we stayed but this one was just a cut above. The included breakfast had all the regular fare but also had unlimited eggs, sausage and bacon to go along with it. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and maybe a little warmer than some. All the places we stayed were really nice and more expensive than this one...but like I said, these people do a great job here and they're just a slight touch better in my opinion. This was a great base for us, we visited Mainau for the flowers and traveled around the south side of the lake to Friedrichshafen to eat schweinhaxe and up to Stuttgart to see the Porsche museum and eat more schweinhaxe. We finally got to drive on the autobahn too...what a great experience that was. Anyway...our stay here was great and I give it 5 stars all the way.

Not fancy, but quite comfortable with the essentials. The staff is quite helpful and patience with guest inquiries and request. If in the area again, we would not hesitate to stay here. The attached restaurant is very good and is open all day.

I've stayed here several times and never disappointed. My purpose for the travel is business in Bernhardzell. The location is up from St. Gallen and about a 20-30 minute drive from the Zentrum. It is closer to Lake Constance. You can walk to the lake in 15 minutes. Which I enjoyed very much. Parking is good and even when hotel was full I never had problem finding a spot. There is a bus stop approximate 3- 4 blocks away block, short walk. You can catch a bus to the train depot. Hotel Staff is very friendly, accommodating, and they speak English. There is a restaurant attached to the premises, it's a little expensive even for Switzerland. One-person dinner can run you 40 Swiss Franc and higher. Breakfast is typical European Buffet Style (sandwich meats, cheese, fruit cereal, yogurts, coffee and tea, etc…) The rooms vary. I stayed in both sections, the original building and the new building. If you want the best view of the lake you have to stay in the new building. The original Building has some rooms with a little appeal but they lack the amenities of the newer building and you can tell it's older. Either section - when they say two twin beds they are actually – in size they are American sized Kids Twin not a regular twin. Luckily, I don't move around when I sleep. They do have a variety of other rooms. Amenities – Believe it or not, I like the fact they have wash cloths as some hotels do not have wash cloths just hand towels and body towels (again this is typical). Just recently in France I stayed at a place that only had body towels, HUH? The laundry service is reasonable. In the new section the safes are useable. In the original section they are not unless you're putting small things like jewelry – they won't accommodate a camera like the new section safe. The hotel is always clean. I can't remember if this Lobby is staffed 24hours. So, if you plan to check in late, call first. I highly recommend and would stay again.

Our group of four people rented bikes and rode around Lake Constance in four days. We reached Rorschacherberg on our third day. Originally we had wanted to stay in Rorschach down by the lake because it seemed more convenient to the bike path, but places there were sold out, so we opted to stay a bit further from town. The hill climb was a big surprise, and most bikers would probably choose to walk their bikes up it. The front desk person didn't bat an eye when we arrived all hot, sweaty and exhausted in the pristine lobby, and checked us in very efficiently. Water was readily available, indeed quite necessary to stave off dehydration on that particular day (over 80°F, 27°C) The hotel turned out to be truly wonderful in almost every respect. (Surprising because in the US, the Best Western chain is usually nothing special). We appreciated the friendly service, spacious & clean rooms, stunning views of the lake and rapidly changing weather patterns, the giant two-person bathtub, and the bountiful breakfast that was included. They also had a garage where we were able to store our bikes overnight. We truly wished we could stay another day to rest in these luxurious accommodations. The only downsides were: --No air conditioning --Not within easy walking distance of shops/restaurants

This hôtel is ok if you don't need Air condition. If the wheather is too warm, you will need to keep the window open and then it can get really noisy in the evening and in the morning because of all the delivery trucks and garbage trucks starting at 06h00. Other than that, breakfast is fine, room is fine, location is great. Parking is available and provided access by the hôtel. However the parking is situated at a reasonable walking distance and reasonable price 6€/day. Just make sure the hôtel desk clerk provides you with the correct exit parking chip. It is a great location also you are accompagnied and they simply want to tourist around. Everything is close by and very accessible. There are plenty to do around and plenty of good restaurants.

Stayed over two nights for a conference. The location is spot on with magnificent views over Lake Constance. The hotel itself is very clean with a very modern and efficient decor. The room was very well appointed with great lake views. The service was very friendly and extremely professional. The only reason for my 4 star rating was the lack of air conditioning in rooms. I know this is not a warm climate location but I was lucky enough to come here in a warm spell which have me great views but quite stuffy at nights

A group of us stayed at this hotel for a business meeting at it was a pleasant surprise. The staff is top notch. Swiss hotel staff is usually very, very good but the staff at the Rebstock went above and beyond. When our taxi did not arrive on time to take us to the St Gallen train station (25 minutes away), the front desk manager drove us himself! The food is great and rooms are very nice. Ask for a room with a view of Lake Constance.

Very neat hotel and restaurant on the slopes over Rorschach overlooking Lake Constance. Staff was exceptionally attentive and friendly. Very nice and newly built rooms with balcony or terrasse. Comfortable restaurant boasting phantastic views of the lake and sunset. Food quality was rather average. Prices were moderate for Switzerland - Breakfast rather good.

This is a hotel, where people really make the difference. And, for what I have experienced, each and everyone. That's rare and therefore a truly lovely surprise. The greeting and the welcome at the reception were perfect. The friendliness of staff in the restaurant outstanding, both at dinner and breakfast. The hotel room: spacious with all amenities you need. I like the tea making facility, easy and adequate. Everything was clean, another major part of excellent performance by people. Don't expect any designer furniture here, but you don't need it. Everything fine. The bed was comfortable, another big asset! The food at the (booked out) restaurant was very good, the atmosphere relaxed. You don't have to wait for long and your meal is really hot. The location is quite nice, overlooking the lake. Otherwise you don't have anything spectacular nearby, but sometimes this is also not necessary. It's all about being here - and slowing down. With every perfect experience, there is something they could improve on: in the morning on departure there should be the same good service as upon check-in. So, there should always be somebody at the reception to take care for a perfect last impression.

I love a "first-time" and having cows roaming at a close distance from my bedroom with the accompanying soothing bells sounds was a nice one. The hotel Best Western Rebstock was recommended and I have to pass on the favor. A very polite, serviceable, efficient staff top to bottom. The room was spacious with a first-floor balcony area facing Lake Constance and with a grassy knoll area in between where said cows lazily partake on delicious looking vegetation. Strong rain shower, good varied selection on satellite channels, every floor had an area catered with fruits, water, and tiny chocolates for the guests' pleasure. Plenty parking space. There are plenty hiking trails if heading out for a walk, one of which leads to a nearby castle, also a lodging venue. The restaurant food was superb, although please be aware that, overall, food in Switzerland is outrageously expensive. The breakfast was included and was fresh with a reasonable variety. Wi-Fi signal was free and strong even in the rooms. Walking to the shores of Lake Constance is a bit of a hike, but if time allows, a nice hike at that. No A/C; it does have a patio door that can drop forward from the top as if a window. Curtains, however, can prevent fresh air in effectively while sleeping hours. It could get hot. If summer, then recommend higher level rooms where guest could open door to allow breeze in and still be safe. Definitely recommend this hotel-- if in need to visit this area, I would not even bother looking some place else.

This is a well-run, very comfortable hotel overlooking Bodensee. Rooms are very clean and spacious, with great views from very nice balconies. Breakfast is very good. Only complaint is the dinner prices. We spent double on dinner and wine than any place in Germany.

This hotel has got very good reputation and a lot of positive critique. I like this place because of the people whi are extremely helpful, always friendly and they remember pretty much every guest, the view over lake Bodensee and the excellent restaurant. If you stay there try to lodge in the new built section: great view and a small terrace / or balkony (2nd lower floor terrace;) ) Sine this is pretty much "old switzerland" you might hear cattle bells in the morning...this is farm live in switzerland :) it is kind od romantic. A short walk downhill will take you to the lake bodensee, with a local rectrational area ( park ) where all the locaks spend their time during summer season.

I had a lake view room, recently refurbished, nicely furnished and with lake view balcony. I also had dinner outside. Romantic place in the right season. Breakfast buffet was very rich and accurately prepared.

The hotel is located on the hill with a good view on the Badensee. The center of Rorschach is 5 minutes by car and 15 by bike. A limited number of bikes are available at the hotel for free. There is a large parking place and the breakfast is various and of good quality. Price in line with the place. Staff very friendly and available to accommodate your requests. Our room was large with balcony. The safebox was really small, just the space for wallets.

wonderful view from the balcony to the Bodensee, large room, the prices in the restaurant are normal for Switzerland, that means not that cheap, comfortable parking lot, the breakfast was like it has to be

One of the best hotels I've ever been. Travelling a lot I am quite choosy. We lived in a new building and had a spectacular panoramic seeview of Bodensee. The hotel is clean, the staff is very helpful and rooms are modern and big. The nice advantage is the possibility to have fresh fruits, water, coffee and tea free of charge during the day. Lovely place, highly recommended when you want to chillout in silent place.

I have been in several 5 star hotels in the US, but this hotel is a 10 star in comparison (5 star scale). This hotel and its restaurant were WONDERFUL. The rooms were spacious, clean, cool (from lake air, no air conditioning, best cooling I have ever had in a hotel), and quiet! Mark and his staff were very helpful and attentive. They provided directions, information, better transportation routes to use, were friendly, and were just generally helpful. The food is what I imagine manna from heaven to be like. Restaurant service was exceptional, and they were very accommodating. I would like to say high to our friends Mark, Dana, Florian, Nadine, Desire, Jöel, and Saskia.

This is a lovely hotel with a great view of Lake Constance. Service was impeccable, duvets were cloud-like. A couple of members of our work-party needed to check in early and were quickly accommodated. The same was true for those of us who checked in late. The restaurant offered great options, including locally caught fish which was delicious. They also accommodated our early departure with breakfast bags to go. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone travelling in this region.

Location: takes some time from the Highway, but the view to lake Constance is worth going. Hotel: fine, middle class building. Sufficient parking lots. Room: i had a special lower orice room within a flat with shared bath and toilet. Clean, silent. Maybe a little bit unusual... Breakfast:excellent. Service: friendly and supportive.

Today, my daughter made a Reservation for lunch. When my daughter & I arrived, we told the waitress that we reserved for lunch under the name of.... She was checking the Reservation list & then she led us to the "wintergarten." When we were in the "Wintergarten" she went up again & wants to check on something again & said something like she wants to be sure. So my daughter & I have to wait again! While waiting for my hubby we already placed our order. We ordered for 2 "Walliser Cordon Bleu" & for me I ordered "Italian Chicken Cordon Bleu." When I got my Italian Cordon Bleu I was disappointed because it was very dry & hard! The Risotto side dish was watery instead of creamy & aside from that it was tasteless!

This is really a great hotel. Beautiful view over the Bodensee. I was on business trip so I could not take time to discover the environment. The service is great. When you check in, enjoy the great food in the restaurant or checking out the team is really service minded. Plenty of parking is available. I really can not find a negative point to mention about my stay. I will return to enjoy the hospitality and environment.

We stayed here for one night as part of our motorbike tour and were allocated rooms overlooking the lake which were superb! We didn't venture out as very tired but we used their restaurant and the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff was lovely as was the food. Our friends were celebrating an anniversary and they upgraded them to a larger room and put some finishing touches like chocolates, candles, etc.

This is friendly hotel with nice view on Bodensee. Room was nice clean great size. Only for as was small problem - washbasin located into room (not in bathroom). Personal was polite, in hotel is good atmosphere. Breakfast was good, maybe better choice of meal could be (variety).

Very friendly and efficient staff. We were in the new wing with an excellent view of the lake from both our room and the deck where we enjoyed an evening glass of wine. Food in the dining room was also very good but a little pricey but it seems everything in Switzerland is.

Friendly welcome, fast and professional check-in. Excellent and spacious rooms with terrace or balcony and views over Lake Constance (The ultra-modern showers cabins would be approximately reworked). in any Room is the High Speed ??Internet. Doofis (cenniboy) the blinds not drop your own fault or? The breakfast and dinner at the attached restaurant was top class, the Service attentive, fast and professional. Simple tip. The review score is based on my second room. Stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. Room 1 was in the old part of the hotel and was a bit dated but clean enough. The only real problem was due to the heat the windows needed to stay open but the room opened out to the road side of the building so disturbed sleep night 1. Switched to a room overlooking the lake on nights 2 & 3. This room was stunning with a great view across the lake. Very modern styling large modern bathroom. Patio area so you can enjoy breakfast outside if the weather permits. All in all a good stay and would stay again but would ensure this is in the new extension not in the mani building.
