Best Western Premier Central Hotel Leonhard

We were impressed by the built-in amenities and meals offered by the Best Western Premier Central Hotel Leonhard. Hotel was very comfortable and was located very close to the old city and within manageable walking distance from the railway station in Feldkirch. It was very close to the Schattenburg castle. The breakfast layout was very good and the restaurant was specious. They had a reasonably good choice in the breakfast layout to select from. Room was cozy and we could take a bird's eye view of the old town. Staff manning the reception were very courteous and helpful and catered very well to our needs. We experienced that the seats in the reception area inadequate if a group of guests wished to stay in that location. Even though seating facilities was available in the adjacent area a hotel employee did not allow us sitting in the adjoining lounge where there were sofas and seats. We were enjoying our stay very much until this employee behaved very discourteously harassing us just prior to our departure. Reception staff intervened and apologised to us as a measure of damage control but management of this hotel should take note of this harassment we faced, which we have already reported to prevent such incidents that would tarnish the reputation of their hotel, Consider increasing seating facilities in the reception area for guests. This incident compelled us to rethink seriously about the number of stars that we could give to this hotel.

Uninterested, foreign staff. Not being racist it's just cheap labour. Super expensive cocktails. Extra to enter spa for HOTEL GUESTS! ‘Free' wine and beer with supper…. But only from 7.30-9pm! So drink fast. Then they kick you out. Plastic covers on the bed so you sweat like mad. We had single beds instead of the double we booked: was told YOU can push them together!

Amazing experience from check-in to check-out. Reception was very helpful and friendly. Room was spacious and comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and clean. The balcony was a bit cramped but nonetheless, a great view and addition to any room. The breakfast was legendary. There is a great restaurant for Afghani & Indian fusion cuisine called Taj Mahal within walking distance from the hotel (<10 minutes walk).

Best location, awesome service and care. The rooms are very comfortable and the attention to guest is great. The rooms, restaurant, lounge reception desk are very good. I have now stayed here for 3rd time this year and always find incremental improvement.

While the building looks a bit dated, I was pleasantly surprised by Hotel Leonard. Rooms are spottles clean, of functiona designl, a bottle of free water is provided. Check-in/out was swift, all staff interaction very friendly. While it's probably not a hotel I would book for leisure, I'd certainly return for business, as it is very centrally located.

Stayed here as part of a group tour following our visit to the Oberammergau passion play. The hotel is very modern, with a large reception area with a bar area to the side, which was oddly empty the whole time we were there.

The hotel itself has a good location really close to the city center. Easy to access by car and offers parking space in a garage for about 10 euro per night. The hotel accept pets. The hotel has Sauna and a pool (closed due to Covid). The rooms and its standard is exactly what you expect from a BW. But hair in the shower and on the "clean" towels is a drawback. In the rooms you will find a tablet which can be used to browse the hotel information. And now the problems appears. On two different places on the tablet the breakfast timings differs (0630-0930/0630-1030) . I missed the breakfast both mornings due to this and to the rude waiter at the buffet. The reception was not able to give me any alternate breakfast restaurant suggestions. But I located a good one by my own. All in all, an okay hotel, but with a poor service (front desk and breakfast buffet).

This is a newly refurbished hotel with large and airy rooms. The rooms are attractively decorated, comfortable and offer most of the essential facilities - room safe; tea & coffee making facilities; good internet connection; but no fridge. There is a large TV with a good selection of chanels with news in English (though strangely no reception of BBC World). Our stay included dinner and breakfast. Dinner offered an extensive salad starter and buffet main course with multiple choices, all well cooked and presented. Breakfast was a wide selection of hot and cold dishes, unfortunately the plates were cold rapidly cooling any hot choices. The hotel is located close to the centre of Feldkirch making it easy to explore the historical sites of the town.

Stayed here for 4 nights over Christmas, travelling with a coach tour. Modern, business style hotel, various meeting rooms and bar area, large restaurant on the 1st floor, tables mainly 4 or 2. Breakfast and buffet dinner with wine or beer, was included for us and was very good. Dishes could have been labelled as difficult to recognise what the choices were! Staff welcoming and efficient. The main issue with this hotel being visited over Christmas , was the lack of atmosphere, large tree hidden away, the top could be viewed from the resturant! Very little decoration anywhere else. I have stayed in other chain hotels at Christmas time and enjoyed the effort made, here, it was just another day for business!

Stayed here on a Leger holidays coach tour stay for 4 nights over Christmas Dec 2019 - no decorations in hotel to speak of - no festiove atmosssssssphere HOTEL FACILITIES EXCELLENT on the surface. The reception is friendly and the rooms are spacious, clean and well kept (although should you require a 'full clean'' rather than a peremptory towel change and bed make, you will be charged a 12.50 supplement). The bar is well stocked and Iqbal the barman was very helpful and friendly notwithstanding the usual exorbitant hotel bar prices However the hotel is let down by its food. Dinner was always serve yourself buffet and dishes were always lukewarm on cold plates. Additionally no dishes were labelled and so were difficult to identify; on the odd occasion when a member of staff was around to ask, their explanations were often erroneous - for example a mystery circular object on the salad bar looked like some sort of terrine and wew ere advised it was 'peppers' but upon consumption undoubtedly contained some variety of meat, either haslett or brawn!! Soups were unlabelled and difficult to identify, looking and tasting the same watery mix! The so called Christmas Dinner comprised only one turkey being carved at the carvery by the 'chef' - There were about 50 diners and we arrived about 35th by which time he had redsorted to trying to scrape bits up to make a portion - the hotel then put some sliced turkey (origin unknown ) in a bowl on the buffet table which enabled us to have something that looked vaguely appropriate, and this was accompanied by fried potato and some sprouts that were pale and watery! On Boxing Day evening there was evidently a skeleton staff on duty and the bread was a choice of one type, granary brown, and stale at that! Minimum dessert choice finally topped off with a ludicrous coffee pod machine that made a fair impression of lukewarm dishwater! Breakfasts were also in the same mould (no pun intended) and always lukewarm a nd undercooked

We stayed at the hotel in August 2019 for 3 nights, the stay at the hotel was very enjoyable, breakfasts and rich dinners. Friendly service, clean rooms, close to the shopping center (pedestrian mall) and a walk in the woods, a calm atmosphere highly recommended

It's a pretty decent hotel in a very central location. The rooms are very nice and clean, mot of them are newly renovated. Breakfast is very good but not included, about Euro 16.00 per person. They do have a garage which costs about 11.00 Euros, which is actually very reasonable. We stayed there in June and rooms were under Euro 200.00. They do offer free WiFi and we had no problem connecting. Staff is friendly and helpful.

very central located, opposite of Montforthaus this is the perfect business hotel. Many rooms are already newly renovated. Good Wifi but the tablet PC allocated in the room is a bit anoying as you cannot turn it off. Staff is friendly and supportive. Hotel is clean, the breakfast is very good.

This hotel was just renovated and it is very luxurious. The rooms are very fancy, and overall everything is fancy and clean. I was impressed by how nice the bathrooms were in the common areas. Unfortunately, it is needs some improvement in very minor things (bathroom becomes a pool when you shower, no shampoo holders, phones in room replaced by tablets that might not work, very unstable wifi) but I assume this is because of the recent renovation. Location is very nice and close to restaurants. Definitely would stay again!

Very nice room. Clean, with all amenities. Comfortable bed. Very nice shower. Couldn't make the TV work but that didn't really matter. Good view from the room. Good breakfast selection, but the cake got eaten quickly so we missed out. Need to be there early! Nice and convenient to have the car park underneath the hotel

This hotel is on the center of the city. The rooms are good with big place. I recommend this one for business trip. Wifi work properly. The breakfast included is also good with lot of choices. The only small problem is the parking who must be payed and on a small city it's not so frequent.

I have been staying this hotel only for the good location. Recently it have been rebuild from the original style (70s) to a black shaped hotels. The interior just too dark. No color or happiness. Aslo we styed in the "VIP" room...to nice to call it VIP when you miss some particle feature like showing mirror, shower carpet, shampoo set in the wall...it is all fine unless you call it VIP

Driving in Bavaria, we booked this hotel through an app as we decided to go with it due to a hotel chain property. It was bare-bones, no soap, no washcloth, no breakfast included. A basic business hotel. We were happy to find that it was located within a close walk to the old city central shopping, restaurants and farmers market area.

My husband and I stayed in this very out-dated soulless hotel for two nights. The only person we saw each day was one person on reception and on one of the days they barely looked up as we passed. Breakfast is not included in the room charge although you can pay for this as an extra but it was expensive compared to our delicious breakfasts we had in a Market Square. We could hear the shower running in the room next to us, which was very noisy. There is no fridge in the room and one bottle of water that you had to pay for. I had to ask for the small plastic pots of milk as there were none in our room, only one English Breakfast tea bag and this wasn't replaced the next day. When I asked they were more than happy to provide these things but I felt it was the small things that were missing - like the feeling of being warmly welcomed. There are some pluses like being very central and near good restaurants and the supermarket. There was also a coffee machine in the room but you couldn't make a hot milky coffee with the number of room temperature tiny pots of milk provided.

Nice hotel. Very clean and staff friendly. We stayed for dinner and breakfast and the food was of good quality. The town is lovely helped by the good weather we enjoyed. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend for a night or two.

We are staying for five nights and everything is very good. The room is perfect and cleaning up every day. The breakfast is super and the buffé in the evening ha been very good. We have been using the nice swimmingpool and sauna. The location is perfect in the pls city of Feldkirch. We have sleept three nights and we are very satisfied.

The hotel is located in the centre of Feldkirch. Next to the hotel is quite a big super market with late opening hours. Nearby are several restaurants offering different food. The old town is nice for a walk, with some impressive old towers and a really blue river going through. The room was clean, bed was alright and the breakfast buffet had enough to offer. Overall a good hotel. I would habe give 4 stars but I don't think the price is justified.

A very nice BW hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is easy to get to if driving. The parking is in a large garage with a reasonable rate. The rooms are clean and comfortable. It is located at the edge of the town within walking distance of everything. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Don't usually care for Best Western but this one was a very nice island in a sea of not so nice hotels. The room was great, the bed and shower also and great expresso in the room also. The breakfast was really good with various options from A la carte to full buffet, charged of course. The parking is charged also with the option of a few free parking spaces in front of the hotel but make sure to park in the allowed spaces or be fined, or park in the hotel parking.

We escaped on a very good package deal inclusive of two nights hotel and breakfast, ski pass for Montafon for 2,5 days inclusive of equipment rental which we did not need as we have our own. Upon arrival we had a friendly welcome and a swift check in and off we went to the slopes for a half a day of skiing. The drive to Montafon was super easy from the hotel and totalled 30 minutes. Upon our return we went to our room which was sufficiently big with a very comfortable bed. Coffee and tea making facilities provided as well as a Safe and a modern and nice bathroom. The overall impression of cleanliness was superb and the furnishings in the room nice. The only items missing was a little fridge or a Mini Bar. The hotels does not have a restaurant for pm meals but offers a snack menu which we did not try. However the hotel is just at the old city centre and within 3 minutes walking you can explore the old town, shops and many good and reasonably priced restaurants. It is very convenient that the hotel is connected to a shopping mini mall with a large food store. The breakfast looked ample in size and selection and the staff were very friendly. The Tschibo self serve coffee machine was good and produced tasty coffee. The juices were not so tasty and a bit watery. Upon close inspection we were a bit disappointed. With the exception of the bread the quality of the rest of the breakfast is only so so. Cheese and cold cuts industrial quality and the eggs and sausages and bacon as well. It is noteworthy to mention that you can ask the cook to prepare the eggs fresh for you this is a plus. Butter good but the jams. OMG again industrial quality and served in big jars which looks messy and totally unattractive and unhygienic as many people retrieve their jam from the same jar. Individual portion controlled are the standard these days. However we do not wish to complain too much as the relationship between and price and value was great. Minor points really. The sauna and the pool were great. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating.

Feldkirch is to impress any of your visitors. Historic and old town with buildings dating from 1525 and still kept intact, like its castle, in which, guided by the hotel reception, I went to dinner at the Schattenburg. Tasty breakfast, not include on the rate and garage at 10,80/night. Perfect location, you are able to,visit the mainly attractions of the city on foot. LOVELY ATTENDANTS. I RECOMMENDED.

Our tour had 1 stop here at the Best Western. It was a nice quiet area with great staff to help if we needed anything. Our room had a great view of the mountains and we had a great night sleep.... The room itself was clean, comfortable, and comfy queen size bed for 2!

A very nice hotel. Many visitors but it does not affect or disturb you. A lot of smiling faces and very efficient staff. It's the first and only hotel where you are trusted and not being asked for your room number in the dinning room. Good food. Enjoy your stay.

So we stayed at this hotel back in 2013 just passing through and liked the town and hotel so much that we purposely scheduled a trip again all the way from Japan en route to the US. Special thanks to Pricilla who was super nice! The room was great size and they gave us an adjoining bedroom for our daughter which was great. Beautiful views of the castle, mountain, and town! Didn't want to leave! If you want a drink from the bar though they will tell you it closes at 10pm but we were denied a drink at 9:50 or so. Also really nice coffee in the room! Super clean! Can't say enough good things!

We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, very comfortable and reasonably priced. Breakfast was included with a large variety, buffet style. Indoor pool. A short walk to a very charming and unique old town.

Check in was easy and quick. I booked a business room # 514 which was basic but spacious and very clean. It has a coffee machine but no fridge. The view was really nice overlooks the mountains. Wide selection of food for breakfast. The location is convenient and few steps from the shops and supermarket. Although it states that the room service is limited but my room was always clean. Thank you to the great housekeepers. Many restaurants nearby. The only thing needed to be added is the fridge in the room and some more sofas in the reception area.

Summary: A modern, clean, well-maintained, 92 room 4* hotel with attractive decor on the edge of small, charming Austrian village. It has large, comfortable rooms, good food and helpful staff who speak fluent English. There is an indoor pool on the first floor. We stayed for 3 days over Xmas 2016 as the base for a Leger 4-Countries Coach Tour. It would be a good base for walking during the Summer. Detail: The Best Western Leonhard Hotel is in a small complex with public underground Carpark attached. There is a Spar Intermarket and shops selling everything needed for a walking experience - clothes, boots, optical and photography equipment, as well as hairdresser and other clothing shops. An adjacent large modern building called Mont Fort Haus acts as an Information Centre, Meeting Hall, Restaurant, toilets and access to the underground carpark. Facilities On the ground floor there is Reception, a comfortable bar area with seating and tables and a panoramic breakfast room which affords views of the castle and square but also provides views of you for people passing by. On the first floor there is a large dining room, business area and pool. Corridors are decorated with professional sepia photographs of the village. Free Wifi is provided which extends to bedrooms and is of reasonable speed. Accommodation Bedrooms are on floors 2-6 accessed by a 12 person lift. Twin rooms are closest to the lift and are the same width but are about 2 metres longer than the double rooms at the end of the corridors. Double beds are two twin beds pushed together with a double top and bottom sheet but 2 separate single duvets. We found the beds very comfortable and slept well. In the hall area there was good hanging space and a full-length mirror but very few drawers, a safe, kettle and tea and coffee making facilities with liquid creamer but no fresh milk, although the bar staff were very obliging! There was the usual desk and chair plus a single chair and table by the window which opened. Twin rooms seemed to have 2 chairs with the table. There was a small bedside table with lamp on either side of the double bed. There were several powerpoints but no internet cable point. A flat screen 40" TV had BBC World, CNN and Euronews in English as well as numerous channels in native German. There is no fridge. Bathroom Basic but very clean, with sink, toilet and shower over the bath. The shower had a small head and the shower screen was very short requiring you to stand very close to the end of the bath or spray the floor with water. There was soap containers for sink and bath plus an adequate hairdryer. Food Breakfast was a buffet with a large range of breads, croissants with jams and marmalade, cold meats and cheese, yogurts, fruit juices, and English breakfast with scrambled or boiled eggs, bacon, sausages and baked beans. Dinner was served on round tables of 8 with a large buffet. The Restaurant had been decorated with an Xmas tree and candles. There was a wide range of salad starters with cold meat or fish and an amazing range of dressings. Soup was also available with fresh bread or rolls. The main course had a range of meat, fish and vegetarian options sitting on the servers in Baine Marie's to keep warm. Food was very tasty but could have been warmer had the plates not been cold. There was a good selection of Austrian style sweets to follow. On Christmas Day, the hotel further decorated the restaurant and serving staff and provided a traditional turkey main course with carrots, sprouts, stuffing and gravy. A two piece group played music throughout the meal and encouraged dancing afterwards. We returned to our rooms to find that staff had generously placed a bottle of champagne and a Lindt Father Christmas. Conclusion We were very comfortable in this 4* hotel and the staff worked very hard to give us a very enjoyable Christmas. We would recommend it and come again. Thank you.

Stayed here for 4 nights with a coach tour. The reception staff and waitresses were friendly and helpful. Apart from the bar area there is no seating and a lot of the time, tables were reserved so your seating options are tight. As you would expect, bar drinks were expensive with a small bottle of Sprite costing €3:30. Breakfast was hot and cold buffet but no toast! Our evening meal selection seemed to be on a tight budget but was eatable. The bedroom was a fair size for two with a king size bed, large tv, free coffee, safe and good free wi-fi. The bathroom was ok with a shower in the bath but it sprayed passed the screen! Didn't use it but the hotel has a gym and swimming pool. The hotel is fairly central with a good Spar shop next door. Overall the hotel was quiet. We would use this hotel again.

Well located and easily found directly off main bypass. Modern hotel on edge of very old and unspoilt town - no war damage, arcades are original. Excellent underground garage with good security (by G4S). Excellent reception area. No evening restaurant, just minimal snack meals available. Room very good. Unusually equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine - limited choice of blends, with no blend descriptions . . .. Our room (on top floor) had good small balcony. Choice of at least three good restaurants within 5 minutes stroll - which is probably why they don't have an evening restaurant . . Breakfast buffet very good, mainly cold of course. In very good region for extensive touring, and would be a good base.

Basic place good for business trips, or for not spending much time in the room if this was a family trip. Not much to offer. Location is good. Customer service is good. Prices very reasonable. Walkable distance to restaurants and bars. I recommend it.

Very clean and comfortable room - nice touch with the free nespresso machine. Very welcome air conditioning given the 30 plus degree weather outside. Centrally located in Feldkirch so easy access to the rest of the town. Breakfast good and staff very friendly and helpful.

I have been to this hotel several times. Good experiences - located in a beautiful place with beautiful hills - breakfast , food is very good - staff is very kind - rooms are clean and comfortable - price compared to services is ok - close to the small downtown I can not say any bad experiences about this hotel. Simply: I just like this hotel.

this place and hotel is wonderful, we spend few day and enjoyed a lot, the hotel very clean and neat, the breakfast excellent; the hotel is near many interesting places to see and know, the mountains are a scandal of beauty, my eyes hurted of seen so many beuties, there you can find peace people very kind indeed

Stayed here on "Leger" coach holiday,rooms were clean &warm,quite spacious,central to the town,we were on half board,which is where the hotel is let down by the poor quality of food and service,breakfast was buffet style,not too bad,but no toaster,tomato sauce,or marmalade,the staff were not a bit helpful,the evening meal was an absolute non starter,the staff were only interested in taking orders for drinks,we were told to be in the dining room for a set time,half an hour passed and no mention of helping yourself to the food which is sitting on the servers in Baine Marie's,we had to ask to start eating,no written description of what the food was,and when staff were asked they disappeared to find out,and came back that they did not know what it was in English,so we hoped we made the correct choice,so much easier with a printed named dish,it let the hotel down.

I've stayed at this hotel on two different occasions for business travel, and it's somewhat dated but it has great views of the town, if you request a room on the higher floors. The breakfast is amazing, so many choices and delicious food and coffee. Great central location, so you can go out for a walk in the main plaza and hit all the shops and quaint cafes. There is a cool place to go get drinks and dinner within walking distance, Rössle Park. This is really a beautiful town, I recommend checking it out and staying here if you are anywhere near Feldkirch.

Stayed over Christmas period and had a wonderful experience. They even put a large chocolate Santax and a bottle of Prosecca in my room. First class hotel with good food and clean beds. The room has every amenity and I couldn't fault it.

We arrived without a reservation and this hotel had a room; everyone was efficient but in the way you expect of a large chain of hotels. The room was a reasonable size, The location was good but the hotel was expensive with parking (9 Euros) and breakfast (16 Euro each) being extras. The breakfast that was available was an XXL American Breakfast with 20m of food buffet (or so it said on the window) - we did not want this amount nor what we felt was an XXL cost! There was a swimming pool available - that we found hidden in between conference suites on the first floor. There was a bottle of water in the room but it had a tag saying that this was not free (nor cheap - over 5 Euros). As we had come to expect in mainland Europe there were no drinks facilities in the room. At over 150 Euros for a double room we did not feel it offered value for money.

A good place with nice rooms, a swimming pool and a sauna. No problems during our two-night stay. I liked a wide range of food for breakfast (buffet). The dinner was served and tasty. The water in the pool could be a bit warmer, but this wasn't a real problem.

Great location close to gorgeous Feldkirch, shopping center and parking just next door though at additional cost! Didn't try the breakfast as not included and 15 Euros pr person seemed too much! Rooms spacious and clean, though nothing special!!

This is a good option if visiting Liechtenstein and if you don't want to pay Liechtenstein or Swiss prices. Breakfast buffet is decent, though I didn't think it was of 15€ value. The surrounding area is quite nice, I very much liked being in the old centre.

I cannot add any more to Tracey's eloquent review of the hotel. We were the couple charged for the tap water and are still kicking ourselves for paying. I can only agree - the trip to the dining room, the cold plates, the repetitive menu, the bathers, not what one would expect from a Leger Silver Service holiday. Hardly a hotel you would bother revisiting - are all Best Western the same? Having said that, the hotel receptionist was delightful and truly shocked about the price of water as indeed was the bar manager! It would seem the chef rules,
