Best Western Outlaw Inn

I've stayed at a few Best Westerns in Wyoming. This one was built in the 1960s, and once you've seen one built from this time, you'll start to recognize them other places. It's a well maintained older hotel. Since it is older, that means it has its quirks, but as long as you understand that then it's perfectly acceptable. The one night I stayed there, the staff was fabulous. The breakfast was fine and fairly standard for a hotel breakfast. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

A beautiful facility with a rich, fascinating, history. The attention to detail in the room design led to a sense of importance. If room detail is intentionally important, then I know there is intentionality in treating me right as a customer. And the staff certainly met that expectation. A very good experience!

Wow! We loved this stay. We received the special request we made upon reservation. The front desk person was knowledgeable and friendly. You could tell she took pride in the property. The room was wonderful and compliments to the thoughtfulness of management and staff thinking of the little things to make our stay comfortable. Complimentary snacks and water, an ink pen and pad, night lighting in the bathrooms. The room decor is over the top western matching the name of the hotel of "Outlaw Inn". Great job!

Free breakfast was pretty good for being free. The coffee was surprisingly good. The room was average and the bathroom was surprisingly small. The AC did not work but really did not need it. I would stay here again

Nice clean rooms and friendly staff. The breakfast was great with a good selection and was open at 6am on a Sunday morning which was great since most places don't open that early on weekends. Will stay again for sure.

I had made reservations for this hotel and ended up having to immediately check out. The room was at 75 degrees and the A/C was turned off for the season. Was very disappointed after driving 9 hours to get there. Luckily the refund processed right away.

We enjoyed our stay at a clean, comfortable hotel. The cleanliness of the facility was apparent the moment we walked in. Our room was great, and breakfast was very well-done. Please note that this hotel has a unique layout. The rooms surround a large, empty banquet room. The banquet area had an odor of chlorine that probably came from the nearby pool. Fortunately, the guest room was free of the odor. Overall, a terrific hotel, and we'll stay again.

Erica at the front desk was cheerful, friendly and helpful. She made our experience special by sharing the history of the hotel, which was fascinating. It has been beatifully maintained. Rooms were cormfortable and the breakfast was tasty and filling. The hotel itself took me back in time to the 60's and 70's road- tripping with my family. And this time my son was with me, making for another great memory.

If you are looking for a good nights sleep, great service and a warm breakfast this is the place for you. Is it dated, yes, but it is suppose to be. From beamed ceilings to rustic decor you feel like you stepped back in time. With that said the customer service, hospitality, and the cleanliness of the of the rooms and public areas are surpass many "up to date hotels" Breakfast is standard continental style served with a smile. You will be glad you stopped.

Hotel was ok. Needs some updates. Doors stuck in the room and it smelled musty. Be prepared to buy a fan. Food was the same everyday. Free water and coffee were provided. Don't stay on the ground floor

Great customer service! There was a mixup with a 3rd party booking site and Betty, the manager went above and beyond! She followed up, called the 3rd party booking company, followed up again until the issue was resolved. Best Western has a great employee! Thank you again!

I enjoyed staying at this hotel on 2 separate occasions within the past few weeks. They have a full breakfast, including hot food and keto-friendly options. Both times, they had cheese omelets, bacon & sausage. The first stay was an outside room. There was a slight issue with the lamp on the end table. I didn't notice until the next morning when we were packing to leave. I was sitting on the edge of the bed an when I stood up, the lamp flickered. I thought that was odd and I sat back down and stood up a few times and every time, it flickered. I forgot to mention this to the hotel! I hope it is not faulty wiring in the floor... or the room is haunted... idk, it is a historic hotel! The second stay was an inside room and it was a little larger and nicer than the outside room. It was handicap accessible, so that may be why it was larger. We didn't mean to book that type of room and didn't notice til after we turned the sheets down and unpacked. Then we saw the shower chair and grab bars in the bathroom. Make sure you read the full description when booking online. I recommend booking through the hotel's main website, not priceline or any of those 3rd party websites. They do have a rewards program and you can usually get the same rate or better than those discount websites. On our first stay here, we made the mistake of going through Priceline and accidentally booked for a date in the future instead of that same day. We had to deal with customer service to get the date switched and ended up paying more than we would have on the hotel's website. I still don't know if they really got the date switched or if we had to pay for an extra room because after that stay, we still kept getting reminders about the one that should have been cancelled! We called the hotel to confirm and they couldn't find the booking, but then we got an email again from Priceline after that date. It was a mess. The hotel can help you better if you make a mistake going through bestwestern.com

The front desk staff was very welcoming and informative. They were dealing with a high volume of stays and accommodated us. They kept asking if there was anything they could do to make our stay better. Very excellent customer service.

Hotel is great! It is an older hotel. Very well taken care of. Beds are great. rooms are very clean. Pool area is nice. Staff is amazing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It will be my choice from now on.

We do summer trips to see our country. This year we are visiting several states. Wyoming to see the wild Mustangs. Colorado to visit family. Utah just to see Salt Lake. Idaho yo see the Rocky Mountains. Oregon just traveling thru.

This is a really cool hotel. It is on the National Register of Historic Sites in Wyoming. It is a bit dated but still very nice. In its heyday, I am sure it was awesome. The room was clean, the staff were all very nice and the breakfast was good. I walked around the property and imagined what it probably would have been like before. So glad we chose to stay there.

Nice clean rooms but dated. Smell of smoke entering the room. Nice remodeled bathroom. Dark room due to it being on the interior. Smell of chlorine due to the pool being inside. Staff very polite and helpful. Typical free breakfast buffet.

The room was clean and comfy. I loved the layout of the room and hotel. The staff was extremely friendly too!! The pool was outside our room, so if you are swimmers, it is very convenient. If you are gluten free, this continental breakfast had muffins and bagels to eat!!! It was a treat after days on the road and being limited on breakfast items. I highly recommend staying here!!

We were exhausted from driving 13 hours straight. We pulled in and thought this place seemed dated. IT IS NOT! From the front desk to the rooms - it was like stepping into authentic western experience. The decor was awesome! Everything has been updated and absolutely sparkling clean. All staff were exceptional - so welcoming and accommodating! We ended up staying on our way back through a month later! Easy on and off interstate and tasty local restaurants nearby. Thank you for a great stay!

This hotel was very old and did smell terrible from smoke. They really need to warn people so those of us with allergies don't have reactions. The bed was comfortable, it was fairly clean, breakfast was awful. I don't see how they can charge the rates they did on this hotel. I am very disappointed as we had decided to splurge and pay more cause the picture looked nice. Well I was vey wrong. I truly hope you think about adjusting your price to reflect the level of hotel that this is.

Very nice motel I like that it is next to truck parking.And several choices for resterants. Clean rooms friendly staff. The outer appearance of the motel is clean and well maintained. Right next to a truck stop is very handy for me.

We stopped here on a long road trip, mostly to have a clean place to lay our heads for the night. The hotel itself is a bit dated, but it's almost so dated that it's cool. Clearly built in the 60's, with an indoor atrium/pool area. The hotel is now non-smoking, but the smoke of years past has seeped into the walls and you can still smell it. The breakfast room is off the atrium & they had to have the AC blasting in order to combat the chlorine smell (that's what they told me, at least. I didn't smell the chlorine in the breakfast room - but I was sure glad I brought my hoodie!). Breakfast was good - the kids loved the pancake maker. The coffee was not great. The manager who checked us in was delightful and very friendly.

TOTAL DUMP!! DO NOT STAY HERE!! They refused to refund our money even though the place smelled of mold and there was water all over the bathroom floor! Do yourself a favor and choose a different hotel!!

We were on the first day of our cross country trip and just wanted to stay somewhere. As a Best Western Rewards member we looked up this hotel. When the price came back at over $200 dollars for a Best Western that amazed me. Now, granted, I had just stayed at the Albuquerque Mariott in uptown Albuquerque earlier that month and it was less than $150 a night, so, yes, I was surprised. This meant I had a general idea of hotel prices. Either ways, I was tired and stayed. The hotel was ancient, as a professional that has done many environmental assessments, I could tell they had ripped the old asbestos out, not very well. The rooms faced in to the pool area and we could every scream and activity out at the pool. The breakfast was not on par and basically was frozen food put in a steamer. When you have to cut a cheese omelette with a knife, we just left. Now on the course of my trip back east I stayed at five more hotels. And, I was appalled at the price discrepancy between this hotel and some of the really nice hotels we stayed at. I wouldn't say it was Super Eight level, but it didn't even compare to the Holiday Inn Express' we stayed at and not even close to the Inn at Virginia Tech we spent the night in.

The property is much older than we expected. Our room smelled like it was a smokers room at some point, the air-conditioning wasn't really adequate, the bathroom was small and like any older motor lodge has the metal railing rather than a closet, the sink, then a toilet and bathtub in a very small room. The carpet has ripples in it. When you step out of the room there is a heavy chlorine smell as the pool is in the middle of the atrium surrounded by the rooms. The restaurant is closed until further notice. It seems way overpriced for what you get.

Very cool friendly hotel. While some services are still not available they stay was wonderful. Staff is extremely helpful hotel is a cool historic hotel with western vibe in the rooms. Beds were comfortable and had places for the kids to let out some energy. Breakfast had sooo many options and all was tasty and they had boxes to take food if you didn't have time to eat there can I thought was a nice added feature. Would completely recommend

The photos exaggerate what is the hotel today. Very dated and way overpriced. Breakfast was as basic as basic gets. Unfortunately not a lot of choice in the town. Receptionist had the personality of a wall. If I could have driven to the next point of the trip I would have and avoided this hotel.

We stayed here on our 2nd night from our Houston, TX to Jackson, WY trip. Hotel is set up different than any hotel I have ever stayed in. Rooms were quiet and clean. Bathroom could use a little updating, as the one at the Clayton, NM Best Western was better, as was the one in West Yellowstone, MT. They do have free breakfast but I did not partake. My partner said the breakfast in Clayton was better. I didn't go to the front desk for check-in or out so I don't know how the service was. We walked down to a restaurant called Thai Chef 9 that was good Thai food for dinner.

Don't hesitate to stay! This is a well-managed lovingly cared for property. They are still working to bring it back to full life (restaurant and bar yet to reopen) but it is a beautiful throwback to more simple travel times. It's easy to imagine all the fun that has been had here and more to come. The room was very clean and the breakfast bar was way better than comparable hotels. Oh yes, and the price can't be beat.

The staff is very polite, laid-back, welcoming, right when you enter. The end is so spacious, well-kept, very clean and safe. Once you enter, it gives off such a relaxing atmosphere, especially the beautiful furniture, high ceilings the complementary breakfast tastes great & filling. Water pressure and heat especially during the winter time. Stay is perfect. Great reception great Wi-Fi fridge raider perfect temperature microwave workable furniture is sturdy very comfortable chairs desk and amenities are close by. A great little getaway for some R&R and to do some touring in such a historical town. If that be the case was such a pleasure to stay here can't wait to come back thank you Outlaw Inn!!

Tori at the front desk was busy while roads were closed. When we checked in, she was not professional, frustrated and she had the worst customer service that I encountered at a hotel. Tori should not be at the front desk being that she has no customer service what so ever and rude!

Nice, quint hotel. Clean and comfortable rooms. Nothing fancy here. It was extremely quiet. Full breakfast included. Friendly front office staff. They assisted us with finding restaurants to eat dinner. We would stay here again.

We had a very positive experience with this facility. We had a reservation then I-80 closed so we called to cancel at the last minute with no charge. Then I-80 re-opened and we called again to see if we could get our room back -- they were so understanding and nice, of course we could! Lovely decorated lobby and the room was clean and cozy. The breakfast was stellar! Dining room was very clean and organized, nice selection of items and the two servers, Brandy and Emily were gracious and helpful. One of the more comfortable experiences while traveling.

This was a great hotel. Betty greeted us as we entered and reviewed hotel amenities. The room was spacious , bed very comfortable and the best sheets ever. I had an omelet, bacon and milk. My husband had an omelet , bacon and juice and coffee. The Christmas decorations were beautiful

This is the second time i have stayed here and wont come back. Tori at the front desk is rude, not professional and doesn't seem to care about the guest. I called several times to get a receipt and her response was I would have to call where i booked my reservation. She didn't try and help or guide me on where to go or how i booked it since its been a while that i booked my reservation. When i checked out with tori at the front desk, i can smell a hint of alcohol and this was twice now that i have noticed this. I will be calling BestWestern Corporate to report this. Thank you

Don't get online much or make reviews. Everyone should be aware this hotel is WAY OVERPRICED and are only offered $10 discount for military the lady who checked me in Betty/Betsy was ignorant rolled her eyes acting like checking me in was too much and pretty much rushed me out the door. Not sure if it was mold from the pool or the rotten food that was rock solid and frozen but terrible smell when you walk up to the doors. Breakfast attendants were polite. WILL NEVER STAY AGAIN

Blonde lady that checked me out was rude. She did not seem to care what I was telling her about my experience during my stay. When talking to her, I could barely understand her. She smell like alcohol and seemed that she was drinking. BestWestern should not have this employee at the front desk especially the smell of alcohol. I will not stay here again

Betty at the front desk was extremely sweet and truly cares for the guests. I'm driving across country and she helped me find a room just perfect for me. I give 10/10 . Will come stay again. I also adore the decor . It's so cute and charming

Even with the pool being colder than we prefer, the beds being harder than we prefer, and the room being lit up from light shining in all night, it's still my favorite place to stay in Wyoming when on I-80. The kids really enjoyed the pancake breakfast and closeness of the pool to the rooms.

This is an older style property but we had a king room on the second floor and it was roomy, well appointed with two occasional chairs, and immaculately clean. It does have ground-floor exterior rooms accessed from the parking lot but the interior is a split-level arrangement with several steps up or down. There was a large indoor pool and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was plentiful and very good. Pre-covid they had an onsite restaurant which they are trying to re-establish. It is a different experience from the newer styles of hotels but we found it both nostalgic and comfortable.

Hotel is so old and out dated we couldn't wait to leave. Staff was very friendly, but would not stay there again and feel like others should know how completed outdated this hotel is. Would've been great in 1970.

Built in the 1950s, this hotel has been designated a historic landmark. The curtains, bed spreads, and flooring are probably original. Allergy sufferers will also enjoy all the mold and mildew that come from the historic indoor pool! The friendly, unsympathetic front desk staff will be there to assist you as you wheeze and hack up a lung.

The Outlaw Inn is a historic Best Western property. It is neat as a pin and it is like a blast from the past. It is historic so you get some nostalgia but the rooms are completely modernized and immaculate! Comfortable beds and pillows. Refrigerator and microwave in rooms. The restaurant and bar are temporarily closed due to staffing issues. Indoor heated pool. Free breakfast in the atrium. Special thanks to Tori for her friendly, professional customer service. Great vibes in this place!!!!

This is a cool venue, a historic venue Rooms are clean, staff was great Brandy at breakfast kept things stocked and had a lovely smile and quick with a good word Check it out, it's a bit old but adds to the cool factor Second time staying, hopefully restaurant and bar open next time we go that way

Reserved room because the hotel had restaurant and lounge. It was closed. Handicapped accessible room had either steps from the outside or a very long walk from the lobby.when we got to the room it had a putrid odor which we discovered was due to someone having a BM in the toilet and not flushing. Moved us to another room that was almost to small to get the wheelchair into and was almost impossible to get around in. The very WORST hotel experience EVER.

It was a wonderful stay. I travel for work. I am always in motels. This motel was top notch. I loved the breakfast. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were clean. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Coffee was good and hot.

I recently had an issue with my travel schedule and I reached out to the GM Betty McVay and she solved my problem in a second! This is typical of the great service you can expect at the BW Outlaw Inn. I've stayed at this hotel before and it is sparkling clean and well maintained. Respectfully, Mark

I have stayed here several times, but probably not again. Rates have doubled. Restaurant is closed. Breakfast is practically nothing. Breakfast used to be off the menu in their restaurant. Not happy to see a foreign interest involved with this Inn, my experience over the past decades that this will be the end of a fine place to stay.

I have stayed here a few times and I am always pleased with how well people are treated here. The front desk is always happy to see you and makes you comfortable. If you are nearby and need a good night sleep, you will be pleased too! Highly recommend it.

When we arrived after a long day on the road, we were greeted by Betty at the front desk. She welcomed us and made us feel we were valued guests. Betty helped us with local restaurants and explained the details of our stay. Her complete and helpful welcome set the tone for our stay which was great. This is an older, but remodeled hotel. It has a western theme which is appropriate. Our room was clean and complete and comfortable. Breakfast had something for all tastes. This is a hotel I would book again.

Older property. Clean and quiet though. No elevator which should probably be noted when booking. Breakfast was not the best, but survivable. A little difficult to find and would definitely be nice to have a light when exiting the property.

The place is old and bare.. restaurant is closed and the breakfast was a joke. Tiles falling out of walls and stale smell in room. The staff was nice. The price does not match the quality. The location is great if your looking for something right off the 80. I would not recommend this hotel

Enjoyed our stay. It's uniquely set up around an inner courtyard, but is very comfortable and quiet and clean. Perfect for an overnight stay. The hours of the pool were really good. We were on a road trip and picked the BW because of their pricing and reviews.

I picked this hotel because prices are so this year and it had good reviews. There was a restaurant on site,but it's closed now. We were able to park in front of our room so that made unloading easy. The room was clean and had tv,fridge,microwave. It had the amenities, soap shampoo. Shower worked good. They have breakfast in the morning. We didn't stay for that. There's a taco time across the street, but if you google taco bell it will take you up to that and a Walmart, KFC Applebee's etc.

Our experience when checking in with Betty was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We could not have asked for anything better. The room was nice and clean. The room was easy to access. We are sad that the restaurant was not open.

The room was clean a little pricey for what it is the blow dryer didn't work, for the price of the room I expected more!! The breakfast was good. The receptionist should have told us at check in the restaurant was CLOSED ! That was why we chose this motel!!

Unexpected surprise! Lobby beautiful, with old western feel, but new understated elegance. Cowboys, truck drivers, business and families will feel good checking in. Covered pool area is immaculate with lots of tables to sit outside the rooms and enjoy "open space" for table games puzzles, reading, or watching kids play safely in the securely fenced pool. Rooms decorated pleasantly, modern, and with some beautiful vintage fabric covered pillows. Lots of outlets throughout, and phone charge connections at the nightstand. One of a kind in WY, and only ONE other building like this in the U.S. Read about the history, and enjoy this while in Rock Springs...other places are on "hotel row", this place is unique!!

Receptionist was very polite and knowledgeable. Room was quite acceptable and had everything I needed for the stay. Location was close to Hwy. 80, easy on-off. Area has a lot of history. Was quite a drilling boom town not long ago.

Betty, at the front desk, provided us with exceptional customer service. She was kind, pleasant and very professional. The rooms were nicely appointed and the bed was very comfortable. The atmosphere at this property was very appropriate.

I was overall pleased with this Hotel. The only thing was I was traveling last min. family emergency and for a last min no budget trip it was a little pricey for me. But the beds were very comfortable and the room was clean.

We have stayed at several Best Western Hotels in the past. The Outlaw BW had decent stars when we looked it up. However, the condition of the hotel did not match our expectations. It smelled, (maybe because of the inside pool and age of the hotel) the internet did not work in the room, the AC/heater unit did not work (staff did warn us), the hot water took about 10 minutes to finally get warm. Finally, to top it off, the pajamas of a previous occupant were hanging on the bathroom door when we closed it to shower the next morning. Needless to say, we will not go back to this facility.

We always like to stay at Best Western locations because we have enjoyed the overall state of service, amenities, cleanliness and comfort. However, our recent stay at the Best Western Outlaw Inn has somewhat shattered our illusion about future stays with the hotel chain. Features advertised were definitely not honored, ie, restaurant, bar and swimming pool were all closed. Our stay was several weeks into the spring season.

Can not say enough bad about this POS hotel. No ventilation or access to fresh air. Listened to man pissing in toilet and squeaking bed.Had to change room because of noises. Still no vent and bath was not clean. We did not use. Restaurant and bar closed.Coffee pot almost made one cup of coffee. We paid for a three star and got a zero star, apx $161.00 per night

One star because we were checked in early and staff did disclose the air conditioning system wasn't hooked up. The first room was clean and at first, not having air, wasn't an issue. There didn't appear to be anywhere in the room to plug in the coffee pot, except down next to the bed. Was going to deal with that. Everything was ok until later in the evening. The walls are thin and we kept listening to the guest in the next room using the restroom. No air conditioning, so couldn't muffle the sounds. Husband requested another room. We moved. It was ok. About 3:30 am we woke up, it was hot and stuffy. It was an inside room so we couldn't open the door for air. Decided to call it quits and leave. Trying to make coffee and that coffee pot wasn't working. Leaked everywhere and wouldn't finish brewing. Husband was going to take a shower but there was hair in the tub. So never mind. Leaving, got receipt. Down the road we discovered that we were charged about $30 more and we didn't get his military discount and he was expecting. Paid over $160.00 for this horrible experience. Probably the worst we've had. I don't recommend this hotel and if you do stay there, make sure the air conditioning is working and you check your receipt before you leave!

We arrived and weren't told until after we checked in that the AC wasn't turned on yet. It was hot in our room the entire time, 78-80 degrees. When we went to breakfast the next morning there were 4 pieces of cold, dried up sausage with people milling around looking for something edible. The microwave pancake maker was a mess. The person assigned to help with breakfast did nothing to help.

Want to give a shout out to Devin who was manning the check desk. So friendly, helpful and informative. Made us feel very welcome. Also, the Outlaw Motel is pretty nice!! Room was clean and comfy. Pretty nice for an older building. Would for sure stay there again. Great job, Devin. Thanks

Got a room , gal told my wife it was about the last in town , and not to mess with the thermostat! Were probably 7 or 8 cars in the lot at 4:30 when we left - I told my wife "screw that" and set the thermostat to cool and 68 degrees - It was 72 when we went into the room , after finding some dinner , it was 77 , went up to 78 degrees , I suspect they are choosing not to turn the AC on - Signs advertised on site restaurant and bar , neither of which were open - Sign said they were indefinitely closed .. Never got any cool air out of the vent , so turned it back off , when we left early in the morning , it was still sitting at 72 degrees ... It was a nice hotel , once ..

This was our first stay at the Outlaw Inn. The front desk and customer service are excellent. Tori was patient, polite and professional in helping me find the best accommodations to meet our needs. The entire staff was great. The room was clean and serviceable. In all honesty however, we felt that the room rate was a bit high. Still- when in this area we would come back.

I called ahead of booking to be sure the pool was open and indoor. We needed to get the kids to a pool after a long drive, I wanted to be sure the pool wasn't closed, broken, or outdoor as it was 11 degrees outside. Alex at the desk told me the pool was open and indoor and I asked if we could check in right away to go swimming. They said yes. I booked online (non-refundable) and drove immediately over to the hotel from a restaurant in town. The room was freezing, 55 degrees. We turned on the heater which was off and changed right into swimsuits and went to the pool as the room needed to warm up. The pool area was indoor, but in an area that was not insulated and was not heated so was very cold. The water in the pool was full of floaties and was FREEZING! It was ice cold and not heated at all. We were there less than 30 minutes before I was trying to check out and get my money back. The room was not provided as it was described to us, the pool was not swimmable. Alex was polite but refused to give us anything back on our rate. We went to Holiday Inn Express and had a perfect stay in with there cleaner room, warm and cozy, updated fixtures and linens, and most importantly a wonderful pool that was warm and clean.

Older hotel. Restaurant and bar not open. Breakfast was dismal. They double booked us and I have to fi the problem in order to get my points returned. . No internet. Weirdly set up with roomes facing the indoor pool. Noisy because they put us by the entrance door in the back.

After long drives through Wyoming this is one destination to put on your list. A hidden comfort stop is quite, clean, comfortable beds and a great indoor pole. There is also available a nice gym room if your up to it. Staff provides a friendly comfortable welcome and is informative of the amenities. Experienced the staff asking if I needed anything as they walked by, professional touch. Nice restaruants close by, easy off and on from Highway . Continental Breakfast with hot coffee an interesting pancake making machine, makes fresh pancakes to order.

This hotel was recognized by the National Park Service as a National Historic Place. It is very unique with the mid century modern architecture. This designation is not easy to acquire. Even though it was a historic hotel, it had all the modern conveniences. Our room was clean, with plenty of electrical outlets, flat screen TV and mini-fridge. The water pressure in the shower was great, as well as the amount of hot water, something often lacking in older hotels we have stayed in. There was a great Mexican restaurant right across the street and the hotel is right off I-80.

This is an older property, but is well maintained and very clean. Betty at the front desk was very friendly and efficient. It was also very quiet. The only complaint we had was with the wifi, it was so bad that we couldn't stream a movie.

After 13 hours in the car and not having a place to stay we found this hotel on our route search, conveniently located off of I-80. I am so glad we did because it is a gem. We were greeted by Amanda who was so kind and friendly. Much needed after the typical road ragers you find on the Highway. Got to our room, and they may seem outdated but , I don't know why, it just made me feel happy. The western decor is just too cute and the bed was so comfortable I slept without waking up once. Very quiet and so CLEAN. The hotel is very unique and I love it. There was a lot of food for breakfast along with a grab and go option and the coffee was really good. I hope they don't change a thing because I look forward to our next trip back this way. Thanks again for making us feel at home, albeit 1200 miles away.

I was super anxious pulling up to Rock Springs alone. To make things even more strange, I had an unpleasant experience at my usual hotel in RS. Decided to give Best Western a shot instead. Although I'm very shy, Tully and Morgan instantly welcomed me and became my new friends. I like this hotel and I, a lone woman, feel safe here.

The owner was friendly and helpful, a clean well maintained facility, restaurant, bar, and swimming pool. He even saved us over online booking, and signed us up for best Western rewards as we travel for work frequently. If you want Old Western hospitality and a wonderful historic yet modern stay don't look anywhere else. Trust us our family owns and operates multiple hotels, meets our exacting standards. Safe and quiet area.

We were stuck in Rock Springs due to road closure and the Manager used that as an excuse to charge us twice the normal rate. Said it was "Supply and demand". Also, HVAC was not working and room was hot, and there was very little for breakfast.

My family and I where trying to travel to Iowa from California. They closed I 80 east due to weather and we couldn't get through. My husband had been driving and we had both been up for over 24 hours. We pulled in and asked for a room. The night worker said check in wasn't until 11 am but she would talk with the front desk manager when she got there in a cpl hours. Betty was so nice she called me and let us check in early so we could get some good sleep and not be in our car. The hotel was clean, staff so friendly, the room was perfect and clean. If you are ever through here or just want to visit. Please stay here.

We could NOT have had a better experience! We unexpectedly got stuck for the night due to a freeway closure and Betty at the front desk couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. She was able to get us checked in early at 8am so we could rest after a long day in the car, and should was so pleasant and we had a great conversation while we waited for our room keys. We'd DEFINITELY stay here if we're in the area again!

We were on the last leg of our cross country trip and we were getting tired. I'm a diamond select member and they treated me as such. We got a great rate and they thanked us for our loyalty. The room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable. All of the staff members were friendly and willing to help. The food options in Rock Springs are scattered about. The hotel is off I-80 at Exit 104, but the bulk of the good food choices are 2 exits west at Exit 102. We would definitely stay here again

Betty at the front desk was very knowledgeable and efficient. She is very friendly and gave good service to us. The room was clean and comfortable. We always stay here when traveling thru the state. The staff was nice and provided good service.

The rooms were clean and didn't have any smells of smoke. The pool was great and right outside our door. The staff was friendly and courteous. They had their usual breakfast and had a fast to go option as well. Easy access off of the main interstate hwy.

I picked the hotel because it is a Best Western and I have never had a bad experience at this chain. I also like very much that it was no smoking and no pets. That's why I chose this particular hotel over others, The motel is very nice, good decor and our room was very clean. I felt comfortable there.

Betty at the front desk was very kind and courteous! Booked online for last minute room and wasn't sure what to expect...was definitely worth the stay. Although the attached restaurant was closed and some things changed due to...well ...covid it was a great stay. Highly recommend.

We stopped in for one night on our road trip from Kansas City to Seattle. This place was the cleanest and quietest place we've stayed so far. The customer service was top notch, it was great! The guy working the check in counter was super friendly. I can't say enough how clean the room was, I wish I had taken pictures to share. It was also a nice quiet place to be. We got the much needed rest! I would definitely recommend this place for both family and business travel.

After a long drive it was nice to stay in a nice hotel. It was clean and quiet. The breakfast was nice in that someone was there to administer the food! This keep the breakfast bar neat and clean! This was the first time we had seen this in our 2 week trip.

This hotel is very clean, quiet and a great location (right off the freeway ) !! The rooms are very easy to access if you have lots of luggage to take in . We left before the breakfast was served so we were able to get a grab & go bag at the front desk !

Very tired, ready for a shower, relaxation and rest!! All of the above was accomplished and you could tell it was clean by touching the counters and pulling back the covers!! It smelled good not like a coverup of some hotels!! Thank you!! Will look for you again next time I travel!!

We stayed at the BW Outlaw Inn on our way back from our vacation to Oregon. We arrived late at night, after midnight, but our clerk was on duty and welcomed us and got us our room quickly. Parking was close by our room entrance with only 5 or 6 steps to get to our room. We were on the first floor on the interior, opening up on a common room that must be used for wedding receptions (large area with chairs stacked up). The room was great. Super comfortable beds and lots of room. Bathroom was clean, however there was a used towel left hanging on the back of the door (eeewww!). Fridge worked great. We didn't try the microwave or coffee maker. Ice machine worked fine. The pool looked great - it is located indoors in the large interior area. There were people in swimming in the morning. AC didn't work. No temperature control. Management says that their system is all or none and we were traveling when nighttime temps were in the 50s. So AC was off. But our room was 75 degrees with no exterior window to open. We were awakened by the next door room being vacuumed at 8am by what sounded like a chainsaw. Very loud. But we were getting up anyway. Breakfast was OK. Fruit cups, microwave breakfast burritos which were good, a pancake machine, and other items. Coffee wasn't good, and they didn't have our favorite sweetener Equal. So a very nice hotel, great style on the National Register of Historic Places. Service was great, but a few minor issues.

This property is on the National Register of Historic Places. It's amazing. We were on a 2 week road trip and this is the best place we stayed by far! We stayed in the king suite with 2 bathrooms. I can honestly say it's the cleanest room I've ever stayed in. It was so comfortable, we ordered takeout and stayed up all night watching movies in the spacious seating area. The hotel was built in the 60's but everything was like brand new. From the furniture to the fixtures, the attention to detail made me feel like I had been transported in time. Devin and the staff were wonderful. It's obvious that they love this property and take great care of it. Can't wait to visit again. Thank you to Devin and his team.

My husband and I broke down in Rock Springs Wy and ended up at the Best Western Outlaw Inn. We did not know how long we would be there and they provided great accommodations and service during our stay. They worked with us on the rate and check out date. We are so appreciative. Our first night was spent at a different hotel in Rock Springs and the Outlaw Inn was definitely a better choice. They are the best hotel in Rock Springs.

This hotel was was a nice stop over for the evening. We were greeted by Betty and she was pleasant and informative. The room was both clean and quiet. We rested nicely. We enjoyed the grab and go breakfast, it was one of the better grab and go breakfasts we have had at a hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

This is one of the best hotels that I have stayed at. The front desk manager Betty was so sweet and friendly. It felt like I was talking to a friend. The room was great. Comfortable beds, the interior was pretty and everything worked. If you are visiting Rock Springs, choose here. You will not regret it.

Wonderful hotel in Rock Springs. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Betty. The hotel was booked and an additional friend wound up staying with us. Asked for an additional room, bet there was none. I asked we I could get a cot for my friend and Betty made arrangements for us to have one. Thank you for being so helpful. On my way up one of the Staff recommended a wonderful restaurant "Santa Fe" accross the highway. It was amazing.

The Outlaw Inn is on the National Register of Historic Hotels due to its design and the reasons it was built, and it retains the charm it had the day it opened. The rooms are very comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful, and the site convenient to I-80, and all at a very reasonable rate. If you come to Rock Springs, or if you are just passing through, this is the perfect place to say!

This stay was great for what we needed, a quick stop on our roundtrip back to Iowa. I was extremely impressed by the front desk clerk Betty! She was so helpful, professional and polite. The room was clean and the only complaint I had was the AC didn't seem to run consistently. Overall a great stay.

I look for Best Westerns to stay at. This one seemed to be far below the normal BW standard. The A/C unit was so old and noisy I had to turn it off to be able to sleep. The noise transfer between rooms was bad as I could hear the TV in the next room. It was raining out and I was in the oldest section of the hotel and the rain on the roof was noisy.

The Outlaw Inn is located in a quiet area of Rock Springs, Wy. The staff is friendly, helpful and demonstrates the western hospitality you'd expect. The Outlaw is a well known business in Rock Springs that has maintained high standards since it was built many years ago. The updated renovations have helped the facility remain modern within the western theme designed when it was built.

Rooms are clean and nicer than expected when looking at outside. Semi updated which was good. Rates a little high for what it is. Indoor pool was something we were excited about but could not swim in it because there is green algae all over the walls and bottom of the pool. Too nasty to swim in.

This hotel advertised that there is a restaurant/ bar available. However, when my husband and I arrived the restaurant was not open. It has not been open in over a year. The front desk clerk said the only place that is stated is on their Facebook page, not their website. We were very unhappy. After driving all day we did not want to drive to a restaurant when there was supposed to be one at the hotel. The room we were in also had a faint smoke smell. The swimming pool looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. It was green.

Very outdated. The room had no window to outside, just a window that faced the indoor pool. Not very soundproof. Lots of different in the room itself also. Restaurant closed. No automatic doors, which created a challenge with getting luggage in and out. Very disappointed. Will not stay here again.

The rooms were clean, and very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to make our stay comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting here. Over all I had a very welcoming experience, and the amenities were great.

We were so happy we stayed here. Although it was built in 1966, it is a great example of 1966 modern architecture. The place has been totally renovated and the room was very clean and neat with nice touches. The staff were delightful to work with, especially Betty, who went out of her way to do some special things for us.

We came through for the night and we're very impressed at the level of service and the cleanliness of the hotel. Betty was our concierge and she made us feel like we really mattered. This place holds bittersweet memories for me as I came through with my parents when I was seven and again when I was sixteen. This place will be our stopping point each time we travel through.

We stayed at this hotel on our way up to Jackson and had a great stay. Betty was incredibly helpful and friendly! The room was clean and comfortable. There are multiple options for rooms, including adjoining rooms, interior facing, and exterior facing. It was too bad that the bar was closed but they did have some basic grab and go breakfast food, which was appreciated!

Outlaw Inn had a cute western theme going on. The room was very clean and the bedding comfortable. We loved the unique touches throughout the room. The kids enjoyed swimming in the pool! The grab -n- go breakfast was simple but nice to pick up and have as we headed out for the day. Would definitely encourage anyone looking for a simple, yet friendly and clean place to stay!

I have stayed at other hotels while traveling through Wyoming and I liked this one. It is an older hotel, but has been maintained well. It had a western decor. They check in was easy and they even had my name on the board to welcome me. The rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable. The pool area is also nice.

This is a marginally maintained, old facility. The advertised elevator was a handicap lift that was not operational. The restaurant was closed as was the bar. The listing stated that this was a drive up to the rooms, expected ground level room access only to find that access to rooms required 8 steps up or 8 steps down, not fa real problem unless you are handicapped. The rooms were glass fronted which meant that you had to close the blinds unless you wanted to have everyone looking into you room. The ventalation was lacking and the room had a strange odor.. Would not recomend or stay there again

Great place to stay. Betty was very helpful getting us checked in. She suggested a great restaurant nearby, since their's hasn't opened yet since Covid. Room was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

The room was fine and clean, but had an unfortunate experience with customer service. I had to go to Rock Springs as my daughter was in the hospital after losing their baby. I had her other children and also had a phone charging cable, but no wall plug in as I thought there would be a USB port in the room. There was not. I called the front desk as my phone was almost dead and asked if they had one I could use. I told her I would leave my driver's license or credit card or anything and she said “sorry, we can't help you”. I asked even if there was something in lost and found and explained my situation and was told again, “no, we can't help you”. Very disappointing and hurtful not to receive any help.

The Best Western Outlaw Inn is a wonderful place to stay ! It has a very clean and inviting atmosphere ! A warm place to stay for weary travelers !! Our front desk clerk ( Betty ) was super nice and very informative on places to eat and visit while we were in town ! I highly recommend this Inn !!!

Very clean. Comfortable rooms. Attentive staff. Betty checked us in and was very helpful in the process. Parking was easy and close to the interstate. We weren't able to eat at the restaurant but we ate at a nearby restaurant. I felt comfortable and safe. Would definitely stay there again.

We had a great experience when we stayed here a few years ago. This time, the beauty of the once state of the art motel has faded. A haggard manager checked us in complaining about 14 hour days. We were willing to pay $20 or $30 more for BW because of the excellent full service breakfast included. Unfortunately, the restaurant has closed. It was probably the best in Rock Springs. Our key card reader kept crapping out. I had keys replaced several times, then gave up. Breakfast was a miserable microwave burrito. The room was clean enough. The price has remained but the services have been reduced.

Nice Best Western. Greeted by friendly staff. Room was clean and bed comfy. Odd set up. You walk through a conference area and the rooms are surrounding the indoor pool. The place needs an updated makeover. A group of people were hanging out in the pool area and it easy to hear them and they were quite loud. Wasn't sure if the motel had quiet times.

We stayed 2 nights while visiting family and exploring different parts of Wyoming. Betty was friendly and professional and made our check-in process quick and painless. I love that our room was close to an exterior door and that we could park right outside. The room was clean and comfortable and although the hotel restaurant is closed, there were plenty of dining options nearby. The hotel also shares a parking lot with a large gas station, which was super convenient. We enjoyed our stay and would consider returning of we are ever in the area again.

We were warmly greeted at the desk by Betty who was extremely friendly, helpful, and funny. The room was comfortable with big comfy beds. It was a shame that the COVID restrictions still have to be in place as I bet this hotel is even better when everything is open. We look forward to visiting again.

I was very disappointed when walking into our room. The reviews showed the hotel was updated but apparently not all of it. The room was very small, you could hardly turn around in the bathroom. The toilet seat was too small for the toilet and crooked. The shower head was coming out of the wall. Also, was very difficult for my 6'3” son to shower under a 5'3” shower head. The furniture was dated and too large for the room. We could hear the guest above us fighting at midnight. They don't accept cash either.

The good: The staff is incredible and will do whatever it takes to make things right. Betsy and the manager went out of their way to make our stay the best it could be. The kids love the concept of the pool right in the middle! The rooms were clean. Even with the staffing issues of our time, they're doing great adapting! The complementary water and treats in the room was an incredibly kind gesture. The rooms have a good sized fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The not so good: It's HOT in the summer. The atrium area felt like a sauna. And the rooms never cooled down. Our first room never got below 76° so we moved to another that was cooler but even it never got below 72°. The pool is freezing. And not very clean. With mildew/mold growing around it. The hotel rooms and hallways are very short. As a tall family, we felt like we were in a doll house. My son even commented that he thought the toilet was the size of the ones for the kindergartners at school. The water in the shower doesn't drain / drains veeeery slowly. It's just a very old building. In retrospect, we wish we would have chosen a newer hotel in town.

Devon and the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Pool was a good relaxing temperature and atmosphere. Rooms were quiet aside from in 228 there is a loud hum in the bathroom. Otherwise great experience. We hope to visit again...

This was our 3rd time staying at the Outlaw Inn It's a nice hotel Very helpful staff. We had had some problems on our trip and had to change our reservations 2 different times. Devin was super helpful. Seems like a really cool place. Definitely different from your regular hotel. They have hotel rooms that open in to the pool and reception area and motel like rooms that open to the parking lot.

Devin was so friendly and helpful at check in!! The hotel was very clean and unique. If I am ever in the area this would be my first choice for a hotel. Hoping to come back to the area very soon to visit.

At the end of a very long day driving, my elderly Father and I stayed at this hotel. The staff were amazing! Betty was extremely helpful and worked hard to get us settled into our rooms. I would highly recommend this hotel whether you are passing through or planning on visiting some of the local sights. (Although guests weren't required to wear masks - the staff wore them at all times.)

Very overpriced for nothing more than a standard motel room. This was during a 3 week cross country trip and this was the most expensive room of the entire trip. I had rooms in much nicer hotels that were less than half the price of this one.

The Outlaw Inn never lets us down. They go beyond the required in providing service with a smile and a welcoming attitude. Looking forward to the Lounge and Restaurant reopening after Covid19 restrictions are lifted.

The BW Outlaw Inn is a good choice for the busy cross country traveler. I am a BW rewards member so I do seek them out for their consistency. The location was true to type. Pros: near the interstate with lots of food/fuel options; decent linens and sheets; seemed very clean; plenty of parking; solid WiFi; nice complementary water/snack gift; pleasant staff interaction with front desk and breakfast staff. Cons: price seemed a bit high for location and quality (maybe this is the rebound effect from pandemic); door/window open directly onto the parking lot and busy highway (a bit noisy). You can certainly finder less expensive lodging in Rock Springs, but for convenience, service, and room quality it is a good Best Western labeled hotel.

Stopped in Rock Springs, MT while taking a road trip with a family member who is disabled and requires the use of a service animal. The staff was friendly, helpful and respectful of our needs and we had a wonderful stay.

In the sea of cookie cutter inns across I80 this place an island. The building is not typical but the design of very interesting. The rooms are small but well decorated, perfect bed, great pillows..In non covid times the restaurant provides a wholesome dinner. Easy access to the Interstate and several options nearby by to top off the tank. I do not know the history of the building but it was definitely made to be unique. Upon check out you can load up on good coffee and a bag of morning snacks is free. Fruit, muffin, juice, granola bar. Enough to get you down the road to you lunch stop.

Heading to Rocky Mountain National Park we stopped here for a night. Huge motel that was almost deserted. We were told it would pick up soon as the weather changed. Nice morning staff. Big room. Comfy bed. Could use more electric outlets in the room. Sad that there was no microwave in the room.

After a very long day of driving, I was exhausted as I checked into the Rock Springs Best Western. Betty was wonderful! Super nice, helpful, and welcoming. I certainly plan on staying again next time I'm in this part of Wyoming.

I checked in and asked if I needed to go online to get the best available rate. Was told he could give it to me. Found out when I got to my room I paid $50 which was 50% higher for one nights lodging in the same room. Called the front desk hoping for an adjustment to no avail and was actually scolded by an angry defensive man. Also there is no restaurant or bar like the billboards boast. Basically could have got the same at motel six.

I had the opportunity to stay here once before and remembered both the hotel and restaurant as excellent! What a delight to find it even better now! The room, beds and shower can't be beat!! Lots of comfort and hot water! The staff is welcoming, considerate and helpful! Definitely recommend a visit!!

The hotel was built in 1965. But the rooms are well updated. Furniture is new, beds are new and comfortable, carpet is clean, bathrooms are small but also updated. Spacious public areas well suited for receptions, etc. restaurant has an excellent reputation but currently closed due to COVID precautions. The southwestern restaurant across the street is very good. Room was very, very clean. The proprietor called us in our room to ensure everything was okay and if the room was clean to our expectations. All in all, we had a great experience.

My husband and I had to go to Rock Springs for a family emergency. We had stayed at the Outlaw Inn once before. I was going to book online but then decided to call the hotel directly. It was the night before we were to travel and I just wanted to make sure they had a room for us. I spoke with Devin and he helped me book the same room we stayed in before. He gave us the rate that was available on the booking sites. We arrived after a 12 hr drive and Devin was there to check us in. He let us know all the Covid precautions and we were off to our room. There was a fridge, coffee maker, tv and super comfy bed. Everything we needed fir our stay. My husband was stoked on the super hot water in the shower!!!! The staff was fantastic! Every one of them was helpful and kind. Devin and Tully at the front desk helped with every need we had. And each morning when I went to get our breakfast bags I had a fantastic conversation with the gentleman who was there to hand them out. (I'm sorry I can not remember his name but he was fun to chat with!) If we ever have to go back to Rick Springs we will definitely stay at the Outlaw! Thanks to everyone there for making a hard trip a little bit easier.

I stayed at the Outlaw Inn back in September 2020. The hotel room decor was average and was a bit muggy. It had all the modern things (fridge, TV, WiFi, etc) that you'd expect. The only reason I am bothering to write this review is because of the staff. Specifically, Merary. After 2 days of driving cross country, Merary instantly warm the hearts of weary travelers. I remember her being very efficient and accommodating. Happy New Year to you Merary and the rest of the staff!

I wouldn't recommend this hotel. If you do book it, don't book directly through the hotels website. Book through expedia or booking.com and you will save $50. The breakfast was terrible and I was disappointed. I showed up 30 minutes before breakfast ended, and it was already put away. I had to ask someone where it was - they pulled out two bags from behind the kitchen and coffee out of the fridge. There are no coffee machines in the room which is annoying. Breakfast was very sugary - unhealthy packaged yogurt Chex mix and a granola bar that wasn't even granola... it was straight brown sugar. The hotel was okay. Seemed outdated and very minimal. Drive an extra hour and a half and stay in park city for 1/2 the price!

My room is very nice love the decor, and the man at the front desk was very kind. Convenient location by the highway and gas stations. The pool area looks very nice as well although I didn't use it. Every thing seems clean and safe.

I would like to go back when restaurant is open. Pool felt warm but I didn't use. Fitness room was good also but I only looked at it. I liked all the western touches throughout. Convenient location and comfortable.

The building is older style, but the room we had (#348) was nicely redecorated (November 2020). The restaurant was closed due to Covid, but they have stripped it all out and are completely replacing the restaurant. Can't wait to see it when it's done! We had cheese and crackers with us, so we didn't have to worry about finding food, but there are several restaurants close by. The bed was very comfortable and the TV was nice - and they had Directv so we had a channel guide!

The prices don't match the best western app. I was having troubles with the best western app all day and couldn't get it to book a room. I was told they would not match their online prices. Construction was going on for the restaurant well beyond my bedtime and it was loud so I was u able to get a good nights sleep.

We stayed here in September on our way to the Grand Tetons. I'm not sure we will stay here again. Our room never really cooled off so we didn't sleep well due to our room being too warm. And, where was the microwave? I thought all hotel rooms had microwaves now, but not here. On the plus side, the young lady at the front desk was very nice an helpful. The room was clean and beds were comfortable.

Clean, sanitized, friendly staff. Pool, restaurant, bar closed due to COVID but several local restaurants deliver through Doordash. Check in was quick (thanks Betty!), parking easy. Clean room, good beds, good A/C.

We enjoyed a Friday night in a beautifully appointed oversized room which featured a very comfy king-sized bed and a sofa hide-a-bed in the living room/desk area. We appreciated use of the mini-fridge, microwave and coffee pot, as well as the luxury of TWO bathrooms, with very clean upgraded & updated fixtures! Tully Reill, assistant general manager, was so gracious in showing us around the property, explaining management's vision of post-Covid plans, and sharing his recommendation of the Santa Fe Cafe across the street. Betty was efficient and friendly during our welcoming check-in, as was manager Devon. Our room had an explanation of how the gorgeous rustic furniture was crafted from reclaimed snow fence boards & the lobby featured a framed newspaper article about the groundbreaking ceremony for the hotel back in the mid-1960's. Really neat to stay in this historic place! Since the Covid restaurant restrictions are just lifting, the restaurant and bar aren't open yet, but Walter sent us on our merry way with coffee, a nice chat, and a yummy "grab-n-go" bag of portable breakfast goodies. Looking forward to staying here again should our journey bring us back through Rock Springs Wyoming!

We were heading through town on Sep. 28 , and decided to stay at The Outlaw Inn. We noticed the room was warm, so we turned on the air conditioning and went out to dinner. When we got back the room was still warm. So we turned the thermostat down to 60 and went to bed. I couldn't sleep it was so hot in the room. Since this part of the hotel has no outside windows we had to suffer through the heat all night. In the morning when I checked out I told the person at the front desk about the problem and she told me they have TURNED OFF THE AIR CONDITIONING FOR THE SEASON. What is this, a third world country? That's absolutely absurd. They didn't offer any apology or compensation for a bad night sleep. I am sure they are saving on their electric bill. We always rent 2 -3 rooms when we travel through Rock Springs and after this I'm not sure we will be back. On top of all that, they closed the bar and restaurant. The front desk staff said they closed because of lack of customers.

We spent a night here in our way to the Tetons and Yellowstone. This iconic motel was spotlessly clean, covid prepared and nicely remodeled. Rachel checked us in quickly using perfect protocols. (Thank you Rachel!) So nice to start our stay this way during the crazy times! Our room had many cute updates and was spotlessly clean. Grab and go breakfast was perfect for hitting the road this morning. A great place to stay in Sweetwater County that has lots to see and do.

When I arrived in my room the temperature was 88. I turned the air conditioning on. After awhile I realized the vent was blowing hot air. I called the front desk and they explained that the air conditioning system had been turned off for the season. The desk clerk was very helpful in moving me to another room. This room was 74. Never stay here during the spring or fall. This hotel is labeled as historical, but to me it was just old and worn out.

We were just passing through Rock Springs and happened to stop at Best Western Outlaw Inn. From the moment we arrived Rachel, at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable .

Some interior corridor rooms under a giant roof with pool. Some exterior with easy access to car. Very clean and great staff. Restaurant is temporarily closed but food across the street. Great place for a stopover.

This place is awesome. The young woman at front desk named Rachel really took care of me !!! The room was soo nice, clean and comfortable!!! Also I was gonna go look to see if I could find a hotel with a spa and the manager looked it up for me and told me none available so I got one of the last rooms in town

Our tire blew out during a cross-country road trip and we had to find a hotel at the last minute. Luckily we were close to the Best Western Outlaw Inn. Merary at the front desk was energetic even at our late night arrival, and very reassuring after our scary incident. I've stayed at a lot of best westerns and this one had a really charming local flair and nice high ceilings in the room.

Great stay at the BW Outlaw Inn. Traveling across the country and had a wonderful time at this hotel. Great staff and very nice rooms. Clean and comfy beds. Great breakfast and staff was very nice and helpful.

We stayed here while travelling back to Montana. Quiet location. There restaurant looked inviting, due to COVID, most understandable that it was closed. We did not stay for the breakfast - made for a good stop on our trip north!

Betty hooked us up with a really nice king room with 2 bathrooms! We are local and stayed the night due to the power outage and didn't realize rooms were this nice in Rock Springs! Would definitely stay again-miss the Open Range and patiently waiting for it to reopen.

Very clean. Good safety percautions for covid. Roomy, no bad smells. Just a very nice hotel and every employee was welcoming friendly and helpful. Pool is open restaurant was not. Great grab and go breakfast bag and to go coffee.

Diffenatly an older motel. I feel it's overpriced for the size of the room. Check in was quick but girl was wearing a mask and I couldn't understand a word she was saying. Has an outside Restaurant be it was close until further notice.

We unexpectedly had to stay in Rock Spring WY with car trouble. Bad day for sure. We found The Outlaw inn. Best part of an unforeseen adventure. The staff worked very hard to ease our stress, gave us a fair rate. We had some room trouble and they made every effort to improve the situation. They let us check out late due car repair delays with no extra costs. Tully the asst GM bent over backwards to help us and make our stay comfortable. Rooms were very clean and comfortable! The whole property was clean, even though an older building. Stay here, you won't be disappointed! Thanks Outlaw staff!!

I had heard from a family friend that this was a great place. The staff were kind and efficient. This is an older (although maintained) hotel and when they say some of the rooms are smaller, they are being honest. The rooms have thinner walls, so I could hear my neighbors, but they were pretty quiet most of the night. The room seemed clean and was kept up, but I did have to kill a few bugs in the bathroom. It was fine for the night, and the price was very reasonable. In this area of Wyoming, it is probably the best there is. It was fairly crowded when I was there, but there was ample parking in front of the rooms. There are a few fast-food places nearby. It is easy to find from the freeway. I was here during covid. Staff were wearing masks, which I appreciate.

Staff seemed confused by both check-in and check-out process. They wouldn't let me cancel the last day of our reservation because they claimed I booked through a third party - which was an outright lie because I booked directly through Best Western. Rooms are old, cleaning only done on surface instead of thoroughly in the corners, behind and underneath furniture, etc. One of our rooms had refrigerator and microwave, the other didn't - both same price. Grab and go breakfast bags were full of sugar-filled junk, nothing healthy. Horrible experience, terrible value, shady management. The only thing of value about this motel is its convenient location relative to I-80 and US Hwy 191.

Friendly staff, Amanda was nice at the counter and helped us check in late. Beds are comfy, it's a quiet hotel, would definitely stay here again. The grab bag for breakfast in the morning was a nice touch during the Covid times.

Quick check in, great price and Rachel was very helpful. She helped me with an easy access room and dinner recommendations which was wonderful. Good place to stay while traveling from Montana to Colorado. We have stayed here many times.

Rachel checked me in. She was welcoming, friendly, informative. Also, Carry and Tully were always very pleasant and helpful. Also, the rules during COVID-19 were as accommodating as possible. Could not have asked for more. Great location. Close to I-80. Restaurants nearby. Just two exits west is the newer area of Rock Springs. The history in this area is incredible. The historic district is struggling, understandably. But check it out anyway.

very cool 60's building. 1/2 point for us between colorado and yellowstone. very good service. would like to see a hot tub but the pool and work out rooms were nice. excellent staff member Amanda who was great at check in and carried a microwave to our room for us to use.

The guest room has cute western decor. The facility seems to be well-maintained. Bath towels are good. Air-conditioning is central and quiet. We had an interior room. The hotel is very close to a number of restaurants. You can walk to them if you choose to do so. The hotel says their claim to fame in their town is that Sundance Kid stayed here. The hotel is listed among historic places. There is attractive furniture in the guest room. The western themed lobby is appealing. The only thing lacking was the breakfast, which consisted of carb-heavy snack food. A breakfast sandwich with eggs might have nice. We ended up having breakfast at Burger King.

Cleaning crew excellent very nice people always there to help, General manager was very rude and unprofessional No mask worn by employees in middle of pandemic . Great location right off of Hwy easy access.

Rachel and Chasey were great at helping me with the amenities in the hotel. They readily had answers to my questions and solutions to any thing I might bring up. The hotel is comfortable, unique, and well situated. It made a stay for business a pleasure.

This was a good place to stay. It is just off the interstate with access to gas and places to eat are close by. Everything was clean and neat. Most of the rooms are access from inside. Some rooms do have exterior access. Our stop was during the summer months.

This hotel has an "interesting" configuration of floors and rooms. Once we found our room on the third floor, it was clean and in a quiet location near the pool. It would have helped if the check-in clerk had a map to show us where exactly our room was located. It was on the "third" floor, but it was not easy to find. A visual map just might help. But the room was in a quiet location and clean, which was all we wanted after driving from eastern Colorado that day. Staff was cheerful and welcoming.

This Best Western is one hell of a great place to stay. The architecture is mid-century modern magnificent and fortunately well preserved for the most part. The staff was wonderful and the rooms both spacious & most comfortable. The cleaning staff does an excellent job with clear appreciation of quality of their work. I must commend the made-to-order breakfast. What a relief from those free buffet breakfasts offered in most hotels today. Quality over quantity is preferred by those of us who travel frequently. Ignore the bad reviews from people who do not appreciate the beauty of the architecture & seem to prefer to eat themselves into a hypoglycemic attack on a free breakfast of sugar. I highly recommend this Best Western location.

after a hard day's drive across nebraska and part of wyoming, we stopped at the Best Western Outlaw in Rock Springs. Betty and her staff made us immediately feel welcome, assisted in recommending dining opportunities, and giving us directions. Betty and her staff made the stay more than just another night at a chain motel.

We stopped for the night after a very long day and not only did we get a very clean and comfortable room but the young lady at the front desk (Karrington) was very kind helpful and accommodating. We will definitely be stopping here again when we come through.

Great place and awesome front desk help in Kerrington. Quick check in, clean rooms and facility's everywhere you go. Close to everything in town, will be back when we're in the area or as a pit stop headed to Yellowstone.

This hotel is clean, quiet and comfortable and the rooms are decorated in an attractive western theme. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful, check in was easy. Would have preferred more offerings at breakfast but understand the need for "grab & go" bags.

Lovely stay at the Outlaw Inn, during an uncertain time. The hotel was very clean and nice, indoor pool was surprisingly open and well monitored, and the staff was so kind. Having kind and helpful hotel staff (thank you Karrington!) was even more meaningful while traveling during the pandemic and really put our anxiety to rest. We felt safe, anxiety free, and the kids had a blast swimming.

Cannonball trip from San Jose, CA to help a friend out in Cheyenne. Chose the place for the Tesla charger. Awesome. Got in at 3am. Fell asleep at 4ish. Housekeeping started banging on the door at 8.12am. Then again at 9. So much for sleep till ten. They want you to stay, they really want you to leave !!!

Great service by the ladies at the front desk- Chasey and Karrington! They were very helpful and went out of their way to make sure that I was comfortable and and happy during these unique circumstances.

We went by several other motels that were less expensive, but they looked drab and scruffy so we just bit the bullet and spent the extra money to stay at the Best Western. We're in the middle of a pandemic so cleanliness and sanitization was a primary concern! The room was adequate but nothing special. I owned a motel for years so I'm a little picky; I think they should have discounted the rates because of the absence of ALL of the amenities that you pay for in a large facility [pool, bar, restaurant, fitness room, etc.]. The staff were friendly and effecient.

I'm a truck driver, left the truck at Peterbilt for service and had to stay the night. Had to walk 1.2 miles both ways, because there wasn't anyone to drive the new Tahoe shuttle. My stay was during the fake pandemic and the place was a ghost town. A lady working the desk, a man at a computer, and maybe six guest vehicles total on site, and they couldn't run me and two heavy bags back to my truck. I'm not your typical 600 pound trucker, but a lift back to the truck would have been welcome, especially since they were dead anyway.

I was towing a vintage vehicle across country. Chasey made sure I had a room that I could see my truck and trailer from the window. Very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and quiet. Booking online was a breeze.

The historic nature of this property alone is worth the stay. The architecture alone is worth spending a few hours checking out, which I did. The breakfast was on point. The servers at the open range are top notch. And when I had an issue with the way my visit ended Betty contacted me through email and was very helpful. She even sent me an awesome outlaw inn coffee mug. This is by far my favorite hotel in Wyoming and I will be staying every time I come through.

Conveniently located at the intersection of I-80 and Highway 191 to Jackson. While this is a Best Western motel, the remodeled rooms add value to the affordable prices. Request Interior room (the exterior rooms open to the outside). In particular, I recommend the Interior King Deluxe room which has a king bed as well as a separate sitting area with a sleeper sofa. My visit happened to coincide with COVID-19 social distancing, so since I was confined to my room it made it so much nicer to have a table on which to enjoy my take-out meals, and to not be sitting in bed to watch TV. Interiors have contemporary decor with local reclaimed wood. Also, the Interior King Deluxe room has an expanded bathroom with a double sink counter, a double Shower with rainshower and toilet, and a shower/tub with rainshower and toilet. This makes the room double outfitted for more than two people if someone is sleeping on the sofa. Unfortunately, I was unable to try the restaurant because it was closed, but I commend the manager for converting the morning breakfast room into room service with breakfast made-to-order delivered directly to the room.

The staff was friendly and professional. They served a wonderful breakfast with room service at no charge. I will stay here everytime I'm in the area. I am extremely impressed with the friendly staff.

Alissa at the front desk was very friendly and very helpful. We wanted to order food in and she gave us nice tips for doing so. The hotel was very nicely kept up, and the heated pool is so clean. I would stay here anytime.

Betty at the front desk is truly amazing to work with. Jeff my server/bartender at the frontier bar came up with some delicious recommendations off the menu. I am sure to be back anytime I am staying in Rocksprings Wyoming.

Outside looked a little run down but inside was great! Staff was great. Room was clean . Bed was comfortable. Restaurant was nice. Typical diner style food . Drinks were well made. Used best western points so this stay was free!! Zero complaints.

We have been traving across the us for a week and this has been the best stop to stay so far. We were given 2 free drinks to use at the restaurant, the drinks were included with the room, and breakfast was perfect. Big rooms, very clean, and plenty of amenities.

The staff at the Outlaw Inn helped me get into my room quickly, recalculated my rate when I noticed an issue, and provided me with a breakfast bag and water to help me get going in the morning. Their attentions to my needs made my travels easier.

We had a wonderful stay and the staff was excellent. The pool was clean and warm. We had a delicious prime rib dinner and Karrington was very friendly and fast at the front desk!! I highly recommend this hotel for family stays or work stays.

This is a unique hotel with both exterior and interior rooms. Alissa was very helpful at check in. We had an interior room with a king sized bed. The vanity was separate from the tub/toilet area. There was also a nice lounge chair. There were also good television channels.There is a restaurant attached to the hotel. The breakfast was cooked to order in the restaurant. It was very good. The cinnamon roll was huge with fresh icing. The pancakes were also large. The breakfast is free but is served to you so tipping the server is customary.

Great restaurant, with great food and servers. Our waitress Kyla was there if we needed anything. Would recommend!! Also the restaurant where we were located at was very clean and organized! Will definitely come back for more food!

Rock Springs was one of our stops on the drive to California and we totally lucked out with the Outlaw Inn! Super clean rooms, comfy beds, and the indoor, mostly shallow pool delighted our little swimmers. Alissa was kind enough to switch our room so it was directly overlooking the pool. We even put the kids to bed and pulled up a table and chairs in the pool area within view of our door and got to play a game we had brought! Most hotels you're sort of trapped in the room with the kids, so this was awesome. Oh, and on Alissa's recommendation we ordered delivery from Chop Stix. Amazing Chinese food!! She was right: the jalapeno poppers are out of this world! Who knew, in little Rock Springs, WY. :-) PS -- when you drive out, swing by the wild horse holding area just up the road!

i was snowed in and broken down. The staff was extremely helpful and I actually enjoyed my delay. Tesha and Eli were some at the front desk who were great to work with. I highly recommend this hotel especially for it's staff and amenities. The bar and restaurant are excellent and so very handy.

Actually had a different place in mind in rock Springs but on arrival was unacceptable. Got in at last minute and was so glad I did-this place is nice. I got to park right outside my room near entrance of the Inn. Bed was so comfortable, quiet and lovely clean Bath. Easy access off the only highway that goes through yet quiet. Wyoming Style decorating. The Price was great too

I had to book a room in an emergency and was amazed at the service and quality! Doesn't a look like much from the front but once you get inside - wow - what a hidden gem! From the lobby to the indoor pool in the courtyard, beautiful, clean rooms - everything was wonderful.

I travel for work and unfortunately couldn't reach my destination due to weather conditions so I had to stop and find a place to stay. This hotel is not only charming and budget friendly but the staff is welcoming and friendly. Alyssa at the front desk answered all the questions I had and made sure i was taken care of. The rooms are clean and nice. The breakfast was outstanding. I'm definitely planning on bringing my family here for a getaway.

Stopped to stay here for the night after driving our 2nd day another 15 hours and halfway across the county the outside looks amazing and the room was great didnt even have to leave the hotel for dinner Eli was working the front desk when we came in and she was super friendly and informative! We will be stopping by again on the way back!

Kristin and the entire staff at the Best Western Outlaw Inn were very pleasant and welcoming. We stayed in a double queen suite overlooking the heated pool in the central atrium. There are also motel-style rooms circling the exterior of the inn, as well as a hallway of additional rooms behind the atrium. This is a historic building with a mixture of old world charm and modern conveniences. The Open Range restaurant serves excellent meals and is currently being remodelled.

They tried to charge me more than the price online. Even after knowing I am a Best western rewards member. Price way to high for a single room with one queen bed. Property is old, but clean. Just really small.

An interesting place to stay. Very comfortable and clean with lots of history. The food in the restaurant is good and the service is friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast is also good and the service again is very good with a smile. Just what you need to start the day. Highly recommended.

We got stuck in Rock Springs at the Outlaw Inn for an extra night due to weather. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the happy hour drinks. The motel has kind of a strange layout with full windows facing a "courtyard".

This hotel is an amazing hidden gem. The front desk staff (Alissa) was very friendly and helpful. This place is a great value with a great bar (free drink voucher at check in), amazing real breakfast (no wimpy buffet), a pool and an easy to use business center. I was so happy here I didn't even try to wander out an explore the area. My only complaint is the walls were a little thin so I could sometimes hear my neighbors.

We were stuck in Rock Spring during another I80 closure. Needed 2 rooms and had to plead to get price down with senior discount (but more than usual for October). They offered us some coupons that helped but... Be careful during cold and windy weather as exterior rooms are drafty and heating system is Loud. Other than problems noted above - this is a wonderful hotel and will stay there again but will insist on an interior room! Restaurant is wonderful for both dinner and breakfast. The decor is beautiful and we learned a lot about the local history.

Everyone was very pleasant and made me feel welcome. Because the morning would be 21 degrees, it was very nice to have the inside of the building covered. Very comfortable! At first I thought the restaurant was a bit pricey but the food was worth it. There are other more modestly priced restaurants in the area too. The made to order breakfast was exceptional and the service was awesome! Wouls definitely stay there again.

I have stayed in dozens of Best Westerns and this is the first one that took orders for breakfast and expected a gratuity. The rooms were okay but it had an outer wall made of glass and it felt more like a dormitory once inside. Additionally, the staff was not clear in directions for breakfast and it made our mornong quite stressful. I love Best Westerns, but will avoid this one in the future.

Amber sat me and my family, she was very kind and her bubble personality made me laugh and made me and my family welcome. Kassy our server was fantastic, she was so sweet and keep checking on us. I will return.

This is an older hotel, but one the best and nicest maintained Best Western that I've been in, the restaurant was outstanding and the morning breakfast was also outstanding, don't hesitate to stay at this property

Historical area, great pool, nice room, easy access and a nice breakfast. It was easy to check, provided a bar coupon for adults. Swimming pool warm, clean with multiple depth for all levels of swimmers.

What a lovely night sleep we had here at the Outlaw Inn. The service was exceptional and they went out of their way to help. Breakfast was cooked to perfection and served freshly made to order. We will certainly stay here again.

It's a standard 2-star motel w/ everything done right, and you get the feeling that getting things right is important to them. Pleasant staff, clean and well lit halls, comfortable beds, everything bright and clean. We asked for a quiet room and they gave us a top floor facing east. Betty at the desk said the sunrises were especially nice from that room. The sunsets were too. Breakfasts were the standard two-star offerings, but everything on offer were brands I'd heard of: Kelloggs, Quaker Oats, etc. Pleasant breakfast room and staff on duty. Just off the freeway, Downtown Laramie is an easy drive of a mile or so. Everything easy to get to.

Alyssa at the front desk was very nice to us. she offered us a discount on our room since we had not called ahead to make a reservation as required by the Best Western Rewards program. We also appreciated the two free drinks allowed and the cooked to order fresh breakfast in the morning.

The hotel, restaurant and bar are very clean with extremely well-mannered staff. I had the prime rib dinner as a meal. The meat was cooked to a perfect medium rare, separating perfectly from the fat. The au jus had the right amount of salt to it and the seasonings were perfect.

Great hotel. They have a fantastic restuarant really delicous meal. They also offer made to order breakfast which you don't see a most hotels. They also have a lounge the bartenders were really friendly.

Clean, nicely restored place built in the 1960s with an western outlaw theme. Friendly staff, great complementary hot breakfast with lots of choices, easy pool and restaurant access. A few stairs to the room, but still very convenient access from the car to the room.

We stayed one night during our Mule Deer Hunt. I really like the exterior entrance rooms like the old motels with the modern upgrades of the current hotels. This made for a very comfortable stay. We booked another night for on our way home.

Our stay could have been a mess- I reserved the wrong day. We had driven for 12 hrs, and were exhausted. But Eli fixed everything, she was kind, knowledgeable and fast. She simply could not have been nicer! The rooms are big, comfortable, clean and up to date. There is a bar and a restaraunt. Dinner was great, our server was top notch. We recommend the Outlaw Inn to everyone, and will come back again.

I stayed at the best western outlaw inn a few weeks ago and it was the best hotel I have stayed at in a long time! Upon check in you are given 2 free drinks to the bar, a fresh cooked breakfast in the morning that is better than any standard chain breakfast and beautiful clean cozy rooms! However what got the review was your incredible front desk girl Kristin! She was kind, Helpful, easy to talk to, and went above and beyond at her job during our stay! More hotels should have staff like Kristin! If you dont stay at the outlaw while in Rock Springs, then you are missing out!

We stayed here on the way home from Yellowstone and it was just what we needed after a long drive. The hospitality of Eli at the front desk is where it started. The rooms are very nice and clean and the restaurant was delicious. My husband and I would highly recommend this hotel.

We enjoyed a very comfortable stay here including a great dinner and included breakfast. The dinner was very tasty, so don't let the nondescript dining room keep you away. We were given coupon for 2 free drinks at check in and also voucher for breakfast. This breakfast was so much better than the standard chain breakfast and was served to you instead of buffet too. Our bed was very comfortable our room was spacious. I'd recommend to the hotel to do some updating to restaurant and overall interior to increase appeal, but the experience here was unexpectedly lovely and the staff does a great job too.

Staff and facility very nice! Quiet, comfortable rooms. Breakfast is restaurant style , not buffet. You have a sheet of selections to choose from that you give to the server and then wait for it to be cooked and served. Not particularly handicap friendly.

This place is huge! Still has the outlaw feel to it. Raegan was extremely helpful and efficient. I enjoyed having the pool indoors and right outside my room. Never stayed somewhere the pool was in the middle of the hotel.

We stay in this hotel 30+ days a year. Kristin and Betty are the best. Check in and all the logistics are a breeze. Please please keep this girls happy they make all the difference. The place is nice quit and great all around. If you don't stay here while in Rock Springs then you have sorely missed out.

Too many new staff w/o adaquate training. the hotel is not as accessable as it should be. they have a lift that guest cannot operate. you are at the mercy of their staff to help. The room was not as avertised, missing a pull out

Enjoyable stay-staff excellent-food good-rooms clean & quiet - AND all for reasonable price. We would stay at this property again & also recommend it. Service was SO much better than rooms at $300 a night at Grant Village in Yellowstone-no free breakfast-no hot water-bathroom dirty-where's outlaw inn when one needs it??? Ha

Hotel with a fascinating history. Interesting and unusual architecture, built in 1966 -- rooms have been renovated and are up to date. The service was very good and friendly, as in most Best Westerns. Room was comfortable and clean. There are stairs to get to pool, restaurant and many of the rooms, and a lift for mobility-impaired people.

The hotel was very clean. There are no elevators and we had several heavy bags. Kristin at the front desk was very helpful and called someone to help us with our bags. They were very accomodating. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant - we wanted prime rib which is one of the specialties but it was a busy night and they were sold out. We did see someone at the bar who ordered it and it looked amazing. Maybe next time we're by this way we get the prime rib.

Up to usual Best Western standards. At check-in, Kristin, was very pleasant and professional. An excellent start to our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The only problem was that the door stuck when unlocked, had to force it open. We ate at their restaurant, the Open Range, and had a good meal. The breakfast was a modified menu served in the restaurant.

Great hotel with great service, especially the helpful ladies at the front desk, Reagan and eli. The 2 free drinks was a nice bonus. They have a great bar with nice and friendly staff. This review has to be 200 characters

There's not much in this town but the Best Western Outlaw Inn was a fine place to stop for the night. Clean, nice little lounge and quirky little restaurant made it so staying right there was perfect, no need to go searching after being in a car all day. The rooms are not up to date as most Best Westerns but they are comfortable. Great staff!

We stay here a few times a year for the horse races, perfect location. It's clean with a good breakfast and a welcoming atmosphere. Kristin at the front desk is great! We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Rock Springs.

Lovely place to stay with interesting history. Check in was great with Kristin taking good care of us. Lady serving at the hotel bar was indifferent to the point of rudeness which is very unusual in the States. The wait staff at breakfast were great.

The hotel was great very nice and clean. The beds were comfortable and the pillows soft. Service was great I was helped by Eli, had a great time passing through. Location was good and the food was cooked fresh. 10/10

Just happened upon the Inn on my trip. God has a steering hand in this. Beautiful, clean, friendly. I have never stayed at a better Inn. I was greeted with a smile & respect. The 2 ladies Raegan & Eli treated me like their best friend. I am vacationing with 3 ladies who needed help with luggage and they went way above their duties in helping me help them. They just made us feel so safe and welcome. I highly advise anyone to stay at the Bestwestern Outlaw Inn in Rock Springs, WY. To Raegan and Eli thank you so much.

We stayed at this BW the first night of our 2 1/2 week vacation thru western US. During that time we stayed at various properties. This was one of the most expensive properties we stayed at and the least enjoyable. This BW is overpriced for what you get. The room was old, the bed was ok but the a/c unit was very loud! The staff are not friendly nor helpful. We ate at the connected restaurant and the service was slow. If you are looking for a hotel in Rock Springs, keep looking.

Hotel was very clean, rooms were very adequate in size and space. Room rate was priced accordingly, dbl queen with AAA was $125.00 (approx). Restaurant was good. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Kristin at check-in was superb! This place is run exceptionally well. Kudos to the management and staff!

What a pleasant surprise! I booked this room last minute and didn't know that I would be staying in a historical inn. The Outlaw Inn is just that, a historical hotel that some famous outlaws had stayed at. As for the hotel, rooms were clean and comfortable. The restaurant has pretty good food. And we were offered drink vouchers to enjoy some libations at the bar/lounge. Unlike other BWs, breakfast is made to order at the restaurant. The selections were quite plentiful. The best breakfast I've ever had at a Best Western, and I stay at many of them. Definitely recommend staying here if you're in the Rock Springs area.

We came to this hotel to escape the dump of a hotel that we had booked online. Raegan at the front desk was very helpful, compassionate, and professional. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.

Checking into my room I had an issue, I ended up booking a room for the wrong motel. Betty, the manager on duty and her staff were so helpful to me and my better half that I ended up just staying here for the night after out long trip out of the park. Thanks for the hospitality!

While staying in Rock Springs on a business trip I couldnt have been treated better with the help Raegan at the front desk provided. Not being familiar with the area she went above and beyond out of her way to give me directions and suggestions on where to go. In the future when I visit this will be my go to place to stay! Thanks again!

It took us over 2 hours to get served our dinner. Charged me for extra drink. Went to pop machine to get 7up got Pepsi. Stiffed us 50. Put in another $2 for a squirt got Pepsi the rooms seem ok clean. It seems there is no management.

Room was large, clean. Krisitin was very nice and helpful with the late night check in. Breakfast was great, not powdered eggs that some hotel serve. King size bed was very comfortable. The bar look pleasant but we were too tire to check it out.

Raegan & Paul were so great. A 10+++. Raegan was so helpful to get us a nice room ~ we were so tired & she offered to get someone to help us to get all our luggage & CPAP gear being since we are Seniors. Paul ran up & down the stairs ~ fixed the TV & got us a new lamp that worked. He was a 10+++ he went beyond the call of duty. We just traveled almost 3,000 miles & 6 hours from home & I have to say these two employed plus the cleanliness of the room beats any others we've stayed at In the last month❣️ You're THE BEST❣️ BEST WESTERN OUTLAW INN❣️❣️❣️ Hope to stay again❣️

I stayed here while working out of town for my job. Very comfortable. Extremely convenient to surrounding area. A real nice place to come back to after a long day at work away from home. Clean rooms excellent restaurant and extremely helpful and courteous staff. Especially Raegan the front desk girl. Will be back I'm sure. Thanks.

The front desk manager (Betty) is the BOMB! Very personable and professional. An absolute asset for any business that wants to make an exceptional first impression. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are in the Rock Springs area.

Wonderful hotel, fantastic staff, everyone was so friendly and kind! It was just a stopping point while on our way else where. Betty, at the front counter was so sweet friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, and at easy, as it was just myself (single mom) and my young son. The food (although pricy) was delis! (We did ribs 1/2 rack was Plenty for us two!) The servers were Very busy so some things took some time but they were very accommodating and pleasant. And they give You 2 free bar drinks when u check in so score! Breakfast - your given a menu option you circle your selections per each category so the food is made fresh (not a buffet style) which personally I liked. Very clean rooms. There is a difference between the rooms on the Outter part of the hotel and the rooms within the hotel (we were inside) I would 100% stay here again!

Stayed at the outlaw Inn on my travels back to Arkansas, And I was not disappointed! Kristin at the front desk was by far the best Receptionist I have come across in any hotel and she was so friendly and had an awesome vibe! breakfast in the restaurant was excellent! the cinnamon rolls were absolutely sinful! recommend 10/10!

We unexpectedly needed a room after our trailer got a flat. Betty and Raegan went over and beyond to get us a comfortable room at a great rate! The hotel is very nice with an attached restaurant. We were given a complimentary drink which was much needed! The room is comfortable and clean! Thanks Betty and Raegan!

Upon arrival, was unable to access my room as the electronic key system was broken. The desk attendant issued several different keys, and walked out to my room with me twice, but wasn't able to get the door open. Nearly an hour later, she still hadn't been able to get a hold of a manager or maintenance person. They were fully booked, as was every other hotel in town. I had called ahead to confirm a late check in, and it was now 1:30 am and I had been traveling for the previous 22 hours. She called everyone on her contact list over and over and no one would answer. Eventually she gave me a room of a no-show, but was clearly uncomfortable doing so without manager approval. She did all she could in her position, but it is inexcusable that she didn't have any type of management support to solve the problem. What if there had been a true emergency? I stayed two nights, and no one ever contacted me to apologize or make sure everything was resolved. Extremely disappointed, I won't ever stay at this location again.

The staff here really make this a great place. Betty at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. It is a little worn, but clean and tidy. Beds were great! Pool is only open 9:00-9:30 so that was a bummer. Overall it was great for our stop over.

I have never had a free breakfast at a budget hotel that was so nice. This is the 2nd time staying at a Best Western and i really like the chain. The breakfast is cooked to order, not buffet. Nice touch

WOW!! I stayed two nights and could have easily stayed more no doubt, hands down. This place is awesome, or rather AWESOME!!!. I can not brag about this place enough! I love the rustic decor, big and spacious, perfect for board meetings, business meetings, kids and family, weddings, reunions. Clean drink bar (family friendly) and sit down restaurant on site. Kudos to Betty, the manager on duty who made it her upmost attention to help me out with my every whim! I highly recommend and will DEFINITELY stay here AGAIN if I'm ever in the area.

Very mixed feelings about this motel. It was a haven to us on a very hot July afternoon. The front desk clerk, Ms. Betty McVay was wonderful. She patiently trained the young clerk who was new on the job, and welcomed us at the same time. When the AC in our room didn't work, she and her daughter helped us move our bags to another much cooler room. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Young housekeeper, Cheyenne was most welcoming as well. The building itself seems to be in varying degrees of disrepair. AC did not seem to function in some areas of the building. For hot dusty travelers that have been on a motorcycle all day, request a room downstairs. Restaurant/lounge service was poor. Food was adequate. I suspect it is managed independently from the motel. Eat somewhere other than the lounge.

This place is great. Very comfortable rooms and very nice amenities. They have a full breakfast in the restaurant that is very good. Also a nice bar to unwind. The staff are all very friendly and are a pleasure to talk to. Thank you Betty and Reagan at the front desk for all your help and also thank you Crystal and Brad.

I have stayed at this hotel 100+ times on business. Always clean, restaurant/saloon food is always good and drinks cold. Best breakfast around and staff is always freindly and helpful. Especially Betty the Rock Star at the front desk

Great stay! Outstanding customer service and a very comfortable room. Only two dings: 1st, the bar/lounge offers only Barefoot wines (ick!). A place as nice as this requires more offerings than Barefoot wine. Step it up, for crying out loud!!! 2nd, a place on the National Historic Register calling itself "The Outlaw Inn" would lead a person to expect country western music pumping throughout--even "elevator music" would be better than what they are using. Disconcerting, to say the least, to try to dine comfortably with that stuff playing in the background. Terrible music. We shall return. It was a good stay, and we loved Mya and Betty at the front desk! Betty certainly went above and beyond the call of duty to help make us comfortable. And Kay, in the bar, was a delight as well.

The outlaw inn in Rock Springs is the best hotel in Wyoming! The rooms are great and the staff is fantastic!! Betty and Raegan were great helping me me make the arrangements while I was reserving the room and when I arrived everything was exactly as they said it would be. I couldn't be happier with the service! I recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through Rock Springs it is a great family friendly hotel with exceptional service!

Nice motel - pool, lounge, free made to order breakfast. Recently remodeled clean updated rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. Close to Flaming Gorge, Red Desert, Wind River Mountains. Wild Horse viewing near Rock Springs.

We called several places in town for lodging and we were beginning to think we would be driving much later than planned. Until we called and spoke with Raegan! She quickly found the 2 rooms we needed for the night. Upon check in, she provided us drink vouchers as well as tickets for our made to order breakfast in the morning. Maybe every guest receives the same treatment, but she certainly made us feel special. THANKS Raegan. We would definitely recommend the BW Outlaw Inn. Nice, clean, comfy rooms. Indoor pool for the kids. Bar, restaurant, fitness center, and business center. Plenty of parking. When visiting Rock Springs, it's a great place to stay.

We were heading west and stopped in for a night of rest before continuing the journey. My kids loved the pool, we had a fantastic meal in the restaurant and all of the staff were genuinely concerned and helpful to ensure that our stay was as pleasant as possible. The history of the place was fun to hear about, the rooms and pool were spotless and the breakfast the first time for us was just a convenient bag of fruit, pastry and water so we could leave early to catch the animals on scenic drive between RS and Green River. A little over a week later we were heading home and decided to try it, again. Betty at the front desk welcomed us back and we enjoyed the restaurant a second time as well as the full breakfast, which was fantastic! The cinnamon roll was sinful and the staff didn't slow down for a second to make sure that we had everything we needed, and more! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone passing through. Thank you to the considerate staff for making our stays so relaxing and enjoyable.

My husband and I arrived at this hotel at 1:45 pm to see if we could check-in. We were greeted by Mya with "Hello what can I do for ya?" My husband answered with" I know we are early but was wondering if we could check-in." Mya answered that check-in was at 3pm (no exceptions), and also added that the hotel had been booked the evening before and that no rooms had been cleaned yet. My husband then asked if it was possible to do the paper work for the room in advance, hoping that if she got his name she would then see that he had diamond elite member status with the "perk" of an early check-in if possible, and also a complementary up-grade to the room. Again Mya replied that check-in was not until 3 pm, no exceptions. We left the hotel, went and got lunch, and fuel for our motorcycles. We returned to the hotel and sat in the lobby where it was cooler than outside. Around 2:30 pm an employee who we suspected to be a manager, approached us and asked if we would like something to drink. At 2:40 the same person said that we could begin the check-in process. This person started the check-in process and then handed us over to Mya. At this time Mya asked for the customary identification and credit card information. My husband handed both driver's licence and credit card over to her, but was only returned his driver's licence. His credit card had been placed on a separate counter, and he had to ask for it back. Mya then gave my husband the card for Trip Advisor Outlaw Inn, and asked him to rate her performance. Mya, you need much work on your professionalism and customer service. We have stayed in Best Western hotels enough to earn diamond elite status, and we can say without question that what we experienced trying to check-in to the Best Western Outlaw Inn, was one of the most disappointing experiences we have had with this chain of hotels.

When I arrived at the outlaw inn in rock springs it was rodeo week and most places are booked full lucky me because this is wonderful place staff is friendly the bar is a nice hangout after a day of driving to see my family the Open Range restaurant has great food with a cozy atmosphere and the rooms have beds that are perfect for a guy with back pain like me the room was quiet and cool with stylish furniture definitely check it out if youare in the sweetwater county area

We are on our way home from an exciting exhausting vacation in Yellowstone and feel so lucky to have found BW Outlaw. Kristin checked us in and was so helpful and friendly even though she was extremely busy. The room was very spacious and clean. The complimentary breakfast in the Outlaw restaurant was perfect!I doubt we will ever be through this town again but if we do we will definitely be staying here.

Company booked a block of rooms here recently. Went to check in at 12:30pm and front desk attendant(Josh) said our room wasn't clean yet and said to come back at 3pm. Didn't call housekeeping to confirm room was still dirty. Didn't offer to take my number to call when room was ready. Overall was very short and unhelpful. So we sat outside the front of the hotel for 2.5 hours in our car waiting. Checked in periodically at front desk to see if room was ready, still Josh says it's not clean. Finally after third time of going in, I suggested to Josh to take my number down and please call as soon as room was ready. Finally at 3:00 we go to the desk to check-in. Josh is preoccupied with another guest and another young lady checks us in. Thanked me for being a Best Western Rewards Elite Member. And when we go to check in wouldn't you believe, the room we had was the room I had been parked in front for nearly 3 hours. The entire time we were parked in front of it, no previous tenant left to check out of the room nor did a maid come in or out to clean. Which tells me room was either cleaned much earlier or was vacant all together. I understand mistakes happen with computers and such but not even making an effort to offer a customer any type of solution ie. checking with housekeeping or offering to move another room, which often is a solution at other hotels is pure laziness in my book. First impression did me in for the rest of the stay unfortunately and will pass on any other stays.

During the period 12 June to 06 July 2019 (23 nights), we visited several west USA National Parks and stayed in 17 different hotels/motels. This provided a unique opportunity to compare and review these establishments. On arrival we received a singularly unfriendly reception and were told we could not check in 2 hours early. This was the only hotel refusing early check in. When we finally checked in, we were allocated room 221, second room just outside the main building entrance at street level. SHARP PRACTICE On checking the room allocated, we found the room unacceptable and went back to reception to query what we were being charged. First we went online to this specific BW hotel's website and saw that an Exterior room with 1 Queen bed was available for USD115. We paid USD151.72 through Booking.com. The website also showed that for the price we paid, we would be entitled to an Interior room with 2 Queen beds. At reception the young lady Mya could not explain the difference and sought the help of her lady manager. This lady acknowledged that the website did actually show those prices and explained that as we had booked through a third party (Booking.com) we were not entitled to the lower price. I showed her the Booking.com confirmation that stated that Booking.com did not charge any fees. The lady responded that the website prices were only for that day and in any case they were fully booked so could not substitute the allocated room for an Interior 2 Queen bed room. This was clearly not true as the website was still offering these rooms, but unable to refute her claim that they were fully booked, I suggested that we should then be charged the USD115 price instead. This was refused. UNSAFE Room 221 (see photo) is located in a row of rooms in a single storey lean-to type building. The room entrance door is flimsy and poorly fitting literally 5 feet from parked cars. The door frame has plaster cracks around it and is need of renovation. Internally the room ceiling has fibre boards mounted across concrete support beams. These fibre boards (hopefully not of asbestos fabrication) are left unfinished, not even painted, let alone covered over with insulated plasterboards. Unlike other BW establishments where there is usually as minimum a sliding opening window for ventilation in the bath/toilet area, there is only a static louvre vent opening with no extractor fan. UNHYGIENIC As the room entrance door is badly fitting, roadside dust enters the room and the carpets and curtains are unclean. On a windy day, roadside debris and leaves also blow into the room. Far worse is the air conditioning outlet above the bed was not cleaned and contaminated dusty air falls over you whilst in bed. BREAKFAST Breakfast is included in the final price and guests are provided a coupon to fill in with their requested choice. After waiting 10 minutes in the queue to get a table, and a further 20 minutes for the meal to arrive, the photo show what was served. The 2 sausage links was 1 sausage cut into half and where was the bacon? SUMMARY Of the 17 (including 3 other BW) establishments we used, this was clearly the worst. I would be happy to park my car in such a shelter, but do not consider this suitable for human habitation. We are shocked that Best Western allows such standards to carry on.

Easy to get to and from the highway (I-80), inside entrance so very quiet. Loved the chair and ottoman to sit in to relax and read. We usually stay at Best Western when we're traveling in the U.S. Love the included breakfast.

Betty at the front desk was SUPER AWESOME. Absolutely love the customer service. Got in after a very hot day of driving and was greeted in my room by 68 degrees of blissful air conditioning. Next time I am in Rock Springs this will be my only choice.

Our stay was made extra special at check-in. Kristin the front desk clerk was super sweet and recognizing that we were sad from a long journey of laying our father to rest and had traveled nearly 4,000 miles and this was our first stop. The rooms were gorgeous and we loved the whole atmosphere. It was very nice to see compassion from staff and felt like family. Definitely will be staying at this Motel again.

My wife and I stayed here this past weekend and absolutely loved it! The rooms were very clean and comfy, the bar was really nice and the breakfast was excellent. Kristin was the young lady who checked us in and was super professional and friendly.

Check in process was quick and easy Kristin at the front desk was very helpful and welcoming to both me and my toddler. Room was very very clean and quiet, and best of all the bed was comfortable. At breakfast all the staff was wonderful and food was great. This is not a continental breakfast it is a restuarant style which was nice as well a nice change on our long travels. Great food. Can't beat a clean hotel with top notch staff all the way around.

We were traveling through this town and were very exhausted after our driving Betty at the front desk was very helpful...we were exhausted so decided to eat at the inn .. we had steaks and It was a surprise really good food servers were amazing so was the restaurant manager . Loved the western decor of the hotel very nice definitely will stay again if going through this town

The most appealing aspect of my stay was the fact that my room was sparkling clean. My room was quiet, even though it was near the pool. The breakfast was cooked to order and good. My interactions with the staff were all positive, and Betty at the front desk was especially helpful. The only slight drawback was slow internet, but I would definitely not deduct for that.

Conveniently located and could park right in front of our room. It appears to have been an old Holiday Inn with the pool in the middle of the hotel with rooms surrounding it. We had no actual complaints, but the rooms need to be up-dated. We liked the 2 free drinks in the lounge as well as the free breakfast in the restaurant.

It was very clean and quiet er enjoyed that the best. Love how there was a heated pool but did not like how early they closed it either. Maybe if they can make the closing hours a bit later that would be amazing.

I dont travel often but found myself in rocksprings wyoming recently. I was hesitant to stay in this town but then I stumbled on the outlaw. My visit was relaxing and very fun from the moment I walked through the doors! Kudos on your rustic southern theme! I was very impressed with the designs you chose. I would also like to give kudos on your amazing staff! Kristin was very very helpful from the get go and made my stay comfortable and helped me find sites in RS to visit while I was here. Every time I saw her she had a smile on her face and friendly conversation ready at the drop of a hat! The restaraunt staffing was incredibly helpful, and the kitchen staff made me an amazing meal for a steal of a price. If ever I return to wyoming I will be sure to come back! 5 Stars in every area!

After a very long day of travel, we tirelessly searched for a good hotel when we got the Outlaw Inn. Our experience was pleasant but what really earned the 5 stars was front desk girl Kristin! She was kind, welcoming, and all around helpful. Thank you for the great service!

This BW, built in 1966, is on the national list of historic places. It has, of course, been redecorated since then and looks very nice. However, the persistent light in so many Best Westerns was present here, especially around the window curtains. In addition there was a strange oscillating hum all night. It seemed to be coming from inside the walls dividing the rooms. Internet speed was very good, but though HBO was listed as a channel option, turning to it showed only the message the signal was weak, check your connection, or words to that effect. Breakfast is different here. You are waited on in the associated in-house restaurant and given an option of one drink choice (not including coffee which is included regardless) and three food items from a long list. The drinks (except for coffee, which was very weak) were very small. The only egg choice is scrambled. The sausage was three cheaply made links with little flavor. Pancakes and pastries were very large. You are supposed to tip the wait staff.

Kristin checked us in and she did a wonderful job. The food in the restaurant was very good, but the dinner service was not. It took at least 10 minutes for our waitress to acknowledge we were there. If the dining room had been busy I would have understood. At breakfast the dining room had more customers and the service was a 100% better.

Passing thru rock springs and stopped at the best western Outlaw inn. It's on the Natl. Historic register. Nice hotel, with friendly staff and Very good breakfast served to you at the restaurant . Excellent cinnamon rolls!

This hotel is by far one of the best that I have stayed in. The staff is so friendly and Harlee was amazing at check out! She knew exactly what she was doing and made me feel very welcome. I will stay here again!

We originally booked for three days at this hotel, but business demanded we stay an extra night. We called reception and were told it's complimentary which sounded strange, then our credit card was charged with $158 more than $40 more than the internet rate for that night. It is little more than theft we could have moved down the road for less. Don't do it. One star cos I can't rate it less.

Loved out room, it was right by the pool. The associate (Harlee) who checked us in was very easy to work with. She knew what she was doing and got us checked in with ease. If I am ever in Rock Springs again I will definitely stay at the Best Western Outlaw Inn.

Traveling thru. A lot of property's were sold out. While this property is old and dated, it was very clean and you can see the pride and upkeep in keeping this a nice place to stay. Nice job. We came with a another couple and our wives have high standards and enjoyed staying at this location. Has a bar and restaurant.

on a road trip through Wyoming and rolled into Rock Springs on a Sunday afternoon. reading the reviews and seeing prices we decided to stay here. walking in the door we were greeted by Kristin who checked us in explained the swimming pool is a salt pool, which is interesting. gave a first floor room was like a bunker. once in the room it was quiet. there is a bar and restaurant on site. and the restaurant serves a awesome prime rib, the bar has cold beer. we were there on Father's Day and they were closing early. breakfast was in the restaurant and is excellent. my only complaint was internet access. i connected to the wifi but there was nothing on the other end, worked fine in the lobby and bar, but not in the bunker. i just used my phone to surf. the Best Western is a very nice place to stay

Nice clean room. Comfortable beds, the TV was a little small but did not really watch it. The pool area was nice. Kristen who was running the reception desk was wonderfully welcoming, even at the late hour in which we showed up. I wish more hotel treated their staff well enough that they were this pleasant. The breakfast cooked to order in hotel restaurants was very pleasant as well. Not the crappy breakfast books many places pass off a breakfast. The cinnamon roll was good but very hyped up from the reviews. The biscuits and gravy was ok, as was the eggs. It was all way better than most places included breakfast but perhaps not as good as going to a mom n pop place in town.

This is where we always stay. My wife's parents used to stay here too. Kristen welcomed us and was very helpful as we checked in. Our room is clean and the bed is very comfy. We had a nice dinner at their restaurant too. Complimentary drinks. Breakfast will be complimentary as well.

I'm all about a good deal when taking a road trip. This hotel had a lot of value for the money. We were pleasantly surprised with our stay at Best Western Outlaw Inn. Kristin at the front desk was professional and a warm smile upon arrival. She gave us all the details on the hotel and she explained the sit down fresh ready to order breakfast for the morning. We also were given 2 free drink tickets for alcoholic beverages. We stay there every time we go dirt car racing and have never been disappointed. Kristen at the front desk was very friendly and knowledgeable. Josh also was very helpful as to getting the information I needed about a purchase. The breakfast is very good with given the many choices to choose from.

When I booked this hotel I could tell it was an older style building but looked updated. Once we arrived it did not disappoint. The decor was a western theme and all nicely done. The rooms were decent in size with a nice large bathroom sink area for multiple people to get ready. At check in we received a coupon for 2 complimentary drinks in the lounge. The server was very nice and honored our coupon even though we were pushing the time before the lounge closed. Breakfast-- when we checked in we were handed a copy of the menu choices and asked to pick 3 items and hand it to our server in the morning. We filled out our cards and turned them in at breakfast- all of us agreed in our group- it was the best breakfast of our trip. The portions were large and everything tasted fresh and home made. We did not have time to enjoy the pool area but it looked very inviting. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time staying at the outlaw inn. Josh at the front desk and Kristen were so helpful and great to work with. the restraunt and its staff were amazing. I highly recommend staying here and dining with them.

Our check in with Kristin was excellent. She was fast, friendly and efficient. She even allowed us to use her charger to charge our phone. The room was very clean and quiet. The grounds were well maintained. Parking was convenient.

We stayed here on our way from Yellowstone to Utah & loved it. Nice clean room with a comfy bed. Great steaks at Open Range and the house Cab was a nice surprise. Harlee was great at check-in! We would definitely stay here again!

Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Neat historic hotel. Hanee at the desk was quite efficient and helpful. Food was tasty in their cafe and service was good. We are certainly glad we chose to stay here.

Kristin shared the hotel amenities and map with us to help us find the room and amenities.. So friendly and clear with the details. The hotel was our favorite Best Western during our travel across the country. The room was clean and had a great rustic design.Parking was great. The restaurant had great service.

Good: - Check in was great by Kristin, but she needed some help since there were 4 groups checking in at the same time. - Price (booked via Southwest.com for points) was good. - Lounge was great. 2 drinks included with the room. Food was good. Service was a little slow at first (again, need more help). - Beds were very comfy - just firm enough. - Location was very close to the interstate, right on our path from Jackson WY. Bad: - Room had a funky odor. There was a water leak somewhere that left the carpet wet with mold underneath. - We had an outside door with cold air coming around it. But the heat in the room worked well, so it wasn't a problem for us. FYI - Check out the Rock Springs museum right down town. It's free and very well done!

I made it clear to everyone at the hotel that I was there on business which means my company will see the receipt. I also made clear that I was alone, but my bill showed 2 people staying. I'm expecting my company to request a partial payment from me for the non-existing person the staff listed for their convenience on the bill.

Josh works extra hard to make this best western feel like a home away from home. I spend 30+ days in this hotel and they are the best, close to everything, clean, and cozy. The breakfast in the morning is great, restaurant is great. I highly recommend the Outlaw Inn

Room was clean and plenty of space. Comfortable bed. Quiet. Parking right outside the room. Our room came with breakfast but we were not too excited about the quality of the food. Otherwise, a fine place to stay.

I stayed at the bestwestern Inn in rocksprings and I highly recommend. Kristin at the front desk was so helpful and attentive. She went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable, relaxing, and well attended. Her positive attitude and attention to detail ensured I will return of for nothing other than the beautiful rooms and amazing customer service. 5 stars!

We loved the outlaw theme to the hotel. We were able to get a room before they filled up. The rooms were very clean and the employees were very welcoming. Nice sit down breakfast was provided free where you had a server and the food was made fresh. If you need a room in suggest this one.

The food was great, got 2 free drinks upon check in and the front desk agent greeted me with a smile asking how she could help me. And she's drop dead gorgeous. Great place will be staying again in wonderful Wyoming.

First of all - do not give me a room that you know has no A/C capability. My room was 73 when I arrived and 67 next morning when I awoke. I needed the room at least 68 or preferably 65 when I went to bed at 10pm so I could get a full night of restful sleep. The check out desk clerk told me the next morning - oh, they've been working on that but it is not fixed yet. Next the air plenum system has a very irritating low hum that made it very difficult to not get to sleep but to stay asleep. I'm lucky if I got 4 hours sleep and I needed to drive 9 hours to my next point the next day. I will be very skeptical about staying at this location on my next trip through. Please do not give someone a room that has a problem and at the very least tell me what the problem is and give me the option to accept or request a different room that meets my needs. I would give this property a 4 but I do not appreciate not being told of a problem.

The location in Rock Springs had a cowboy outlaw theme. When we entered the king room where we stayed, we took awe to the appearance of the room. The cleanliness of room, and the use of the Ipod charger was really appreciated. The pool experience was amazing. The hours of the pool were useful and overall this location did a mighty, fine job of hosting such wonderful people as ourselves.

This Inn was a welcome reprieve from long hours on the road. As soon as I'd stepped through the door, I was greeted by the woman at the counter with a cheery disposition. Once I'd stepped up, I was asked how I could be helped, and helped I was. Payton answered every question I had and gave me some information I hadn't even thought about. Extremely helpful woman--even told us the exact number of stairs I'd have to take to my room, asking if that were okay before booking it. Helpful, and thoughtful. The room was spacious enough for the adults, my brother, father, and I. While we didn't need it, the mini fridge had plenty of space. The bathroom area has a beautiful light around the mirror providing even lighting that's surprisingly easy on the eyes. The beds are comfortable, but perhaps a touch on the soft side for my tastes. The pillows were nice and plentiful. I would have no qualms about spending the night here again, but alas, we're heading out again today.

We've stayed here a couple of times and have always appreciated the warmth and coziness in this motel. The rooms are clean and neat, the service is wonderful and the food is great. The outlaw theme goes well with the location and is interesting. One thing we see consistently in Best Western motels is comfortable rooms and beds and a good hot breakfast. The Outlaw Inn does it well. The indoor pool is nice for families, and they have an adequate fitness room for work outs.

When I reserved the room I specifically asked that we please have an interior room and please make it as close to the main entry as possible (due to a recent hip replacement surgery) When we arrived none of this was accounted for. Eventually they got us a room but it was an outside entry which due to forecasted weather was unpleasant. Just double check if you have special needs. Not sure they really pay attention to that. Otherwise stay was ok.

The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and the room was very clean. Breakfast was delicious with generous portions. Desirea at the front desk in particular made us feel very welcome. The internet connection worked flawlessly.

Enjoyed our stay as always. We love the rooms and the comfy beds. The hotel is always very quiet. We use the pool but there is not jacuzzi and that would have made our stay much better. Staff is polite and rooms are very clean.

I really like this place. It's an older hotel but, that kept up and at least had comfortable beds in it. Great hot water, great pressure. It had an awesome restaurant attached called Open Range. My room was an exterior entrance the lab me to park right next to the door, just like the old days. I like that and it's convenient for me and my dog. By the way, Best Western is lets you take dogs. Thumbs up!!

We stopped in Rock Springs while traveling and picked this hotel because of the name and decor. We were checked in efficiently by a friendly staff then went to our room. The room had 2 king beds and was roomy and clean. The shower is excellent in that it raises and lowers to your height. We were hungry so we ate at the restaurant in the hotel and it was excellent as well. We slept well and were off early the next morning. We didn't have time for the breakfast but you can request a to go bag with fruit, granola bar, muffin and water. A solid place to stay!

The hotel rooms that are in the inside have several stairs and there is no elevator. They gave me a room that had the door to the outside. I was able to park right outside my door. The room was large, pretty clean, and was fine. Nothing special but nothing bad either. The breakfast is an order form you fill out in advance with your 3 items and you go to the sit-down restaurant and they bring you what you selected. The food was pretty good and the server was really friendly.

We had not reserved a room, but were passing through. My wife was driving and choose to try Best Western Outlaw Inn (BNWOI). The receptionist was great at providing us a room where we could park directly next to the room's door. We had just stayed at an Inn where it was so rustic that it was either too hot or too cold to sleep. The room at BWOI was perfect. The complementary Breakfast was great, especially the staff.

Do not go here if you use a wheelchair. The hotel has NO ELEVATOR, only a lift that has to be operated by the manager. The lift didn't even work and the is no fire exit without using the lift. Rooms are small and overpriced.

We stayed two nights at the Outlaw Inn, during a very chilly November. The hotel is easily located off the I-80, on Elk Street. Check-in was easy and our room, 243, was round the back in the drive-up section. This made everything really easy to get into our room. The room was a good size with lots of cowboy-related items. It had a good homely feel to it. The room has a single blower and thermostat which heats it up, which was a bit noisy. There are good facilities in the hotel. Breakfast was good and the staff were all very pleasant. We had a couple of beers in the hotel bar one night too. The downside for us was the noise. The fridge rattled on all night, it wasn't level in the cupboard which didn't help. And being at the back meant there was a considerable amount of trucks and lorries. One lorry has just pulled away after leaving his engine running for forty minutes, starting at 6.50. There are two others running out there right now too. We would recommend the hotel but would choose an inside room next time.

it's an older place and is a combo of hotel and the old-type of motel where you park your car in front of your room door. At check in, you're asked if you are a Best Western member. If not, it takes 2 minutes to sign up and you get a bottle of water and a cookie! You also get a breakfast form that you take to the restaurant and they will prepare what you checked on the form. The rooms were a little dated but very clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Warning - i asked for a cinnamon roll and it was the size of a loaf of bread!! They serve excellent coffee too. Our server checked on us often and brought us coffee to go. We walked around the hotel part where there are meeting rooms and a pool. The rooms in the hotel part looked more up-to-date or recently renovated. We booked our room on Priceline for $108 which was $50 cheaper than going thru the Best Western reservation call center. If we are in the area again, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here.

Passing through, was a nice, quiet, comfortable room. Average price, get what you pay for plus the extra nice staff. Breakfast was hot and good. On the road again? They'll fill your travel mug and/or thermos with coffee.

We stayed two nights and enjoyed it for the most part. The rooms are fantastically clean and comfortable, the hotel layout is different but quite nice. It is quiet, the staff are wonderful and beyond helpful. We would stay here again. We had only one complaint and that is that the room temperature was steady at 75.... way too warm for sleeping.... the thermostat wouldn't adjust the temp..... maybe it's locked in somehow at 75....even tried the air conditioning..... if that problem was fixed I would rate Outlaw Inn totally excellent.

Our stay was OK, but personally we found the design of the hotel a little oppressive (dark with no natural sunlight). There was a strong smell of chlorine from the indoor pool around which the hotel rooms are grouped in a layout that is very reminiscent of a motel. Service in the restaurant was good, both at dinner and at breakfast. The breakfast option we had booked was very, very limiting - we were allowed to choose only three items off the menu. Unfortunately, that was a little meagre compared to all the other places we stayed during our road trip.

I was recently a guest at The Outlaw Inn, along with close to fifty other wildlife enthusiasts. The Outlaw Inn staff were friendly, courteous, professional, and helpful 100% of the time. Our group stayed for a week, and we did not get tired of this hotel. It is one of the older more comfortable hotels in Wyoming and has been well maintained. The rooms are nicely furnished, offer private entrances, and well suited for travelers needing some work space. My room had a nice refrigerator, micro-wave, and everything else that I needed. The kitchen and bar staff are great folks to work with and they serve delicious food and beverages. I will stay here again, and have no qualms recommending the Outlaw Inn to friends. Our group was totally satisfied and happy with our week long stay at this wonderful hotel.

Wonderful Towels and Bedding but stay away from room 349. Very noisy till 10 pm and again at 6 am from the bars ventilation system we were told. Breakfast was not self serve and food quality was poor.

Traveling cross country and this was Great stop with excellent restraunt. Back has place for trucks and rvs. We were in RV and after 60 plus days we needed a real nice hot shower. Tv and good food. They fit the bill perfectly.

Based on Trip Advisor reviews we booked the hotel. The first clue should have been booking an interior room. This is a former motel where they have enclosed the interior garden. To get to any of the interior room you must go up or down stairs, no elevator although there is a lift. The enclosed space is dismal and expansive. The railings in front of the lower level rooms only add to the shut in feeling. The room lighting is also poor. After a day of travel the last thing I want to do is lug my suitcase up or down stairs. The hotel had potential, but the overall atmosphere and feeling really detracted. For the price, newer options are available in town. Try another hotel.

Traveling through Wyoming to Nevada. Clean exterior and interior. friendly staff, comfortable beds and clean linens, a variety of pillows on the bed. nice shower. Breakfast served fresh and hot at no additional charge.

This is an older hotel but it appears to be nicely maintained overall. We would not stay here again as it is totally not a mobility accessible hotel. Although they've made an effort to make it accessible in reality it isn't. There is no elevator just a lift that must be operated by staff taking away independence of moving around the hotel at free will for a disabled person. The accessible room is the furthest away from the front desk and lift, defeating its purpose, just to far to walk or roll a wheelchair. The room was too cramped with furniture and has very low ceilings making it a bit claustrophobic. The room appears clean but the carpets are filthy. The staff however are extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very good. The value is fine. Overall not a bad hotel but It's just not accessible.

The room was not like the picture. I chose Best Western over the rest of the hotels in the area because the shower had a hose. False. Besides, I paid for a queen size bed and I got a full. When I asked the woman in the front desk, she told me it was a queen. I know the size of both. I am 63 inch tall (5' 3'') and a queen is 60 inch wide. Surprise when I lied down (width direction) and at least 8" were out of the bed. Obviously, it was a full size bed (54"). The door of my room didn't even have a number on it. Not the same color as the others. Ridiculous.

The manager was very polite and helpful with my cancelation of a reservation. Hotel is clean with good restaurant, have stayed here several times and will stay again. Close to the horse tracks and easy to find.

Best Western has really stepped up their game. It looks like they are in the middle of a property face lift on many of the properties. Great rooms, great service. Clean, comfortable, great value and great staff.

we had to grab a hotel last minute and best western was there at our service. we came in late they even extended our check out time an hour later, even though we did not take an advantage, the gesture was very nice.

After a long drive through Idaho and Wyoming, the Outlaw Inn was a perfect respite. The location right off the freeway was convenient and the staff was fast and friendly. We were in our room with our heads on the pillow within 20 minutes of turning off the car engine. Great night's sleep! And breakfast was hot and ready even before we were which was great for another day of driving.

Nothing fancy but not bad. It could use some updating but the layout is very nice. The lady at the front desk was super busy but helped everyone out in a very timely manner. I would stay again if in Rock Springs.

I have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions, mostly solo on my way home. The rooms are comfortable, the staff is attentive and the new lounge and downstairs restaurant are a real convenience. One thing for sure, at least in my opinion, the management at this hotel has a very low opinion of smokers. This is based on where you can smoke. It's extremely limited and in one area it seems they want to hide you from view of others. It's “smoking in a pen”.

Rooms were great and the best hotel breakfast I have seen, they give you cooked to order and so much food! It was great. Extra area next to bathroom gives you much more counter space than normal rooms and I loved the western decor of the room. Overall a great stay.

We were driving from Las Vegas NV to North Dakota & made some detours due to weather. We stopped in the Best Western Outlaw Inn were we had the Extreme Pleasure of meeting Roe who was working front desk. She was AWESOME, she got us 2 rooms for the night and gave us a history lesson about the Inn & Rock Springs. The Rooms were Very clean & the bed was to die for. We would stay there again & highly recommend the Outlaw Inn. Breakfast is freshly made with several choices.

This BW does not offer the usual breakfast buffet. They give you a voucher, on which you choose 3 items, to use in their in-house restaurant. Rooms are clean and nicely decorated, but small and dated. The price paid was not a good value...way too high for what we got. Refrigerator in room was noisy.

The Staff, across the board, were the friendliest and accommodating that we,ve seen. I wish I could remember the name of the young lady on the front desk the morning we checked out (7/20/2018). The reason being that the hot water pump for the entire motel had failed and she had to field numerous angry and cranky folks (me included). She did so with style, aplomb, patience, humor and grace. she was an indication of a well run and more importantly, well trained organization. Kudos the the owners (we met the First Lady the evening before).

The room was very loud and I didn't sleep well but the delicious breakfast made up for it. It was made to order. Such great pancakes! Buscuits and gravy ! Yummy. Beautiful western decorations and history at the hotel.

This hotel is conveniently located just off the interstate with a large car park which made parking easy. Our room was large and comfortable and spotlessly clean. We were allocated a room overlooking the indoor swimming pool which we thought may be noisy - but it wasn't. We had a great night's sleep. One note of caution though - I would avoid the restaurant for evening meals. I'm sorry but the food was absolutely terrible. It really was the worst meal we had in our entire US trip. It was so bad that we couldn't eat it. The service was pretty bad as well - which was reflected in the tip I left. In fact, we were very reluctant to go down to breakfast the next morning BUT - the breakfast was brilliant - absolutely delicious. Well cooked and plenty of it.

Great location right off the interstate. Our room was clean, and it was great that we could pull our truck right up to the door. Kevin checked us in and was incredibly kind and helpful, in fact all of the staff were excellent. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful, and went far beyond the continental fare you see at other places. Overall great place to stop if you are passing through Rock Springs.

Older hotel but well kept. Super convenient right off interstate. Outside entrance looked like it was under construction maybe? Room was on the small side. But adequate for 4. Bathroom was obviously recently remodeled- gorgeous and handicapped accessible- even had a shower chair(awesome!). (Pictures below) Desk, 2 extra chairs, nice sized closet and small fridge. The breakfast only lasted til 9:00 which was hard to swing because we went to church, BUT how cool is it that they have sack breakfasts ready for pick- up after 3am!!!! Breakfast was good and plentiful. Friendly staff. I attached a picture of breakfast menu- nice options. Everything was clean. Decor was very Western and comfortable. Beds were comfy with adequate covers and pillows. You can adjust temperature in your room. I would stay again. I liked the quiet of the courtyard but it was lit all night so the shades didn't block it all out. They had a group of High School rodeo kids and man they were well behaved and polite ???? they have Pepsi products in the vendo-land ?? My only boo- hoo

Unique layout was fun for the kids. Loved the overall theme of the hotel, and staff was super friendly. Woke up for breakfast after 3 hours of sleep, due to traveling, and it was worth it. I made a reservation with little cell service and the front desk was patient and friendly. The lady who checked us in was very understanding and quick to get us to our room with a 3 am arrival. Breakfast was delicious and quick and a full breakfast in the resteraunt.

The hotel rooms are clean, modern, and comfortable. Rooms are quiet. There is an indoor swimming pool which, is a blessing on any cold day in Wyoming. The staff is helpful and courteous. We had a very good breakfast in the hotel restaurant.

We made a last minute decision to stay here and it was a great place. The hotel staff was nice and helpful. The room was clean and the price was great. They had a large indoor pool which my son enjoyed. They had an excellent breakfast with large portions. I would recommend this to any family traveling through Rock Springs, WY.

Upon entering this hotel, an overwhelming smell of chlorine hits you, which we put down to an excessive use of bleach. After checking in, we carried our luggage up the stairs to the rooms as there is no lift (elevator). We are away for 4 weeks so we have several heavy bags, so no lift was not ideal. As you walk through the door from the reception into the hotel area, which appears to be an extremely large building, you see to the right a large spacious area, presumably for functions, and to the left, a swimming pool. To get to our room we had to walk through the centre of the hotel, past the swimming pool and through the 'saloon' which felt odd. The saloon, although we did not drink there, did not have any draft beers and just appeared to be a small area curtained off by the swimming pool. The rooms were a good size and were very clean. The beds were very comfortable as well. The only issue with the rooms was that they all faced into centre of the hotel meaning there was no natural light or outward facing windows, and everyone walking by could see directly into your room unless you kept the curtain constantly shut as the glass panes were floor to ceiling. The rooms at one end of the hotel are situtated by the air conditioning unit which functions for the whole hotel and makes and incredibly loud norise, so we had to ask this to be switched off. We went for dinner in the hotel restaurant and had an awful experience with terrible service and poor food. After complaining about this, the owner (possibly his son) was extremely kind and apologetic and removed the charge from our bill. We did not have breakfast here, but went to Walmart instead.

We arrived here on a rather spur-of-the-moment basis after a bit of a fiasco at another inn in Rock Springs which resulted in us having to cancel our room there. We're driving back to California after a stay in Oklahoma visiting my mom and were tired and hungry and ready to settle in for the night. I walked into the Outlaw Inn, was greeted with a friendly smile immediately, and was told there were rooms available for the night. We were given vouchers for a complimentary breakfast for each of us, with our choice of drinks and menu items. Score! I paid a reasonable price for a very nicely appointed room with two queen beds for myself and my two teenage children. The room was clean and well stocked, the bed was very comfortable, the Wi-Fi was fast, and the air conditioning cool. In the morning we headed down for our breakfast and were seated and served a delicious meal. The staff here are super friendly and accommodating. We would be pleased to stay here again if our travels take us back through Rock Springs. The Best Western Outlaw Inn earned this five-star rating.

This is such a beautiful Best Western. When checking in we were given a menu for breakfast the next morning. You could check one item from one section and 3 items from the other section.. Turn in the menu in the morning when going to breakfast and the server would bring what was ordered. The room was also beautifully appointed and very clean. This was such a pleasant stay at this place of business that I would highly recommend it

We stayed here for one night, on our way home from Nebraska. Great room and really cool hotel. I did not realize that it was where Butch Cassidy worked in a butcher shop. Lots of history around there, so wish we would of stayed another day to see what was out there. Anyway, you wont be disappointed, great rooms, comfortable beds, indoor pool that looked nice, and oh my free breakfast was the BEST. They get your order and bring it to you. Nice they dont have the lines waiting to get your food. Worth the stay. Oh by the way the girl at the front desk had just started and she was wonderful. Sorry I forgot her name.

Best place I stayed at and ate at during a three week trek across the western states! The staff was excellent from front desk to wait staff in the restaurant. The Open Range reasonably priced, exceptional food, and superb wait staff! Thank you Peggy G. and Christy! Betty I am so glad we met! To all the staff at the Best Western at The Outlaw Inn my appreciation for work well done!

I stay here often and by far it's the best place to stay while in Rock Springs,Wyoming it's always clean!! and Ms.Betty and the rest of the staff are always nice and willing to accommodate as much as they can

It started at the front desk, I was greeting by two young ladies. They both were friendly, accommodating, cheerful and professional. The rooms were very clean and I loved the decor!! The continental breakfast they offer was different to me as you pick what you want and then they make it fresh! A sinful cinnamon roll topped my visit. Will stay here again!

Overall good. We had a room that was outside entrance. We prefer inside entrance for safety reasons but room was convenient to car. Room was clean. All staff very friendly. Complimentary breakfast was very good. Better than most hotels as you can order from menu.

Where to start, the good? Ok, there really isn't much good to this 'hotel' besides the location to the interstate. The staff was friendly but not very helpful. We had an interior second story king room. The room smelled bad. Not only did it smell of stale cigarettes but it also smelled old and musty and like your old aunt Linda's house who doesn't know how to clean. The carpet felt 100 years old. the fabric headboard was just downright gross. The bathroom resembled a truck stop but not as spacious. The sheets didn't feel clean and the remote for the tv had old food on it. If you can avoid this place, do it. there are other places in Rock Springs that are more deserving of your money. We definitely did not get what we paid for, seriously, this place is gross.

This is hotel is in the process of being renovated, it was very clean, nice large bed, the staff at check in were very friendly, but be warned the walls are very thin you can hear the tv next door as if it's in your room. Outside our room door was a big open conference space, whilst in bed we could hear the discussions around the table. On a plus point you can walk to restaurants very easily. The hotel was good as it was an ideal resting point on our trip but because of the lack of noise insulation I won't be staying here again.

OUr overnight stay was great. The room was clean and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant in the evening, and had breakfast before we departed. The food was excellent, service too.Highly recommended.

It was late by the time we reached Rock Springs, and we stopped by to check rates. We had a better rate online which the woman at the front desk honored instead of making us get it online. She was so nice and accommodating. I cannot remember her name as I am terrible with names, but she was from Rugby, ND. Gave us a great room, and helped us find a few snacks and juice before bed. Could not have been nicer. The rooms were really nice. Great beds, towels, everything we needed. Had a great night's sleep and ran to breakfast before it closed. The one bad thing we experienced here...the woman doing the breakfast was very rude and could not have looked more sullen and hateful. We made it just before 10 and were watching the tv. When it turned 10, she literally turned off the tv as we were watching it. Hard to believe places hire people like this to work around customers. Otherwise, a great place to stay, very nice grounds. Would come back anytime.

We didn't have a reservation, just stopped in. The room was very clean and just what we needed after a long day of driving! The bed was super comfortable and the shower head was the best!!! Loved having a restaurant right in the motel, but it was only ok. The food was good but the service, while everyone was very friendly, was very slow. We were about ready to leave and not do dinner because it took so long for someone to even acknowledge that we had been seated! We were the second ones in for breakfast and the wait staff took almost 5 minutes to get to us! That's a long time just sitting waiting for coffee/water! We would definitely stay there again, but would probably avoid the restaurant!

Very good overall. Gluten Free dessert, but no soy/almond milk to go with it. Accessible room nicely decorated with rolling shower, but just a tad too small for people with disabilities, particularly if there is a need for a walker or wheel chair

Excellent service and cleanliness! Staff was great and really appreciated the complimentary breakfast! If we ever pass through Rock Springs again, we will definitely stay at this hotel!Thank you for making our stay such a pleasant experience!
