Stayed for 2 nights. Excellent access to Mt Revelstoke National Park. Very good breakfast set up on the second flor above the office. Rooms are recently refreshed and clean. Sleep quality was good. Cost was reasonable, wifi worked well
Dear Theo, Thanks for such a great review! We are thrilled that you enjoyed all the amenities at our hotel. We take a lot of pride in the services we offer our guests and feel satisfied knowing that they made a difference in your stay. Hope to see you again soon! Regards,
We had a pleasant stay at the Stoke Hotel in Revelstoke. It was conveniently located for us on the west side of Revelstoke and we came in late from this direction after some exploring during a road trip from Vancouver. We read that the hotel has a very good breakfast and we can confirm that this is one of the better hotel breakfasts we have had. Check in was pretty smooth because the hotel allows guests to pre check in and we just had to show ID at the front desk, pay a deposit and were given the keys. There is a nice small park across the street from this hotel and there are some dining options nearby. We booked a single queen room and the room was nice and frosty from the air conditioning when we arrived. The bed and pillows were super comfy and the television was very easy to use and even had quite a few on demand movies. There was a desk, coffee machine, fridge, and microwave. The hotel has seen some wear and tear and this is evident in the bathroom where the counter was separating. The bathroom was otherwise good with strong shower pressure and good bath products. They provide ear plugs in the room and that helps because there are frequent trains that go through Revelstoke and while the trains are easy to watch they are also easy to hear day and night. We had a great view from our room and felt it was quieter on the upper floor but if you get a lower floor room you get two comfy outdoor chairs to really help soak in the surroundings. The hot tub is outdoors, is very clean, and in the middle of the courtyard giving awesome views of the area. We stayed in mid August so the mosquitos were bothersome after dusk but otherwise we think this is a nice amenity. There is plenty of parking at the hotel. The hotel breakfast was very well done - there was a good selection of breakfast staples including eggs, sausages, potatoes, cereal, waffle station, yogurt, bread, bagels, fruit and all the condiments. We were impressed with the to-go section with the large selection of tea and milk options. The breakfast is in a cozy restaurant that has charming decor and plenty of seating. We believe there is good value in this hotel and would recommend it to friends and family who are planning to spend some time in the area or having a quick overnight stop like us. This could be a good base to explore the area as there is lots to see and do in the area.
Dear Dean, Thanks a lot for your detailed review. We are pleased that you have enjoyed your stay, and we hope to welcome you soon again. Regards,
A brilliant place to stay. Room was super clean . All of the staff we met were really friendly and professional. The hotel provides a free shuttle into town. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this hotel. Zero complaints!
For our first night in Revelstoke, BC., we were impressed by the Stoke Hotel's rustic atmosphere as we felt welcome in the lumberjack's country! Its room consisting of two queen beds was neat and bright. The toilet was very tidy and the bed was clean! Every amenity was provided in the toilet room as well as we had a free breakfast in the morning. The breakfast showed a good array of fruit, sweets/bakery, hot meals like delicious omelettes with tomato/onion/parsley minces, , tasty sausages, and different tea bag flours, and coffee. I took two impressive photos of stained-glass historic steamboat window and a very huge Gold Miner's landscape mural on the wall at the dining room upstairs, so they were enjoyable to observe around.
Dear Gregor, Thanks a lot for the detailed review. We are pleased that you have enjoyed your stay, and we hope to have you back soon. Regards,
Lasa was so helpful and accommodating to me last minute. He helped me find a great room with great rate and upon my request he let me use their hottub before checkin as I had nothing to do. He is awesome! I stayed here before and this is my second time and love it.
Dear Lorrie, Thanks a lot for being so loyal to us, and thank you for the great review. Lasa and all of us are excited to hear that you have enjoyed our little gem. We are looking forward to having you back. Regards,
I am a return customer because the Stoke is a comfortable good deal with friendly staff (Atef and Pauline), complementary 'real' breakfast and no hassles. I am sure to rebook on my next road trip through Revelstoke.
Dear Christine, Thanks so much for the 'Five stars', and thank you for being so loyal to us. We are all happy to hear that you had a wonderful stay, and are looking forward to your return. Regards,
AVOID at all costs. We stayed at this hotel more like a 1970's motel for one night. The hotel checkin was easy with no fuss .The room was dated ,clean and functional. The major downside of this establishment is the noise from the cargo railway line that toots and rumbles during the day and night. Coupled with the noise from the roads . There is no sound proofing in the hotel. The noise from our guests overhead can only be likened to a herd of wilderbeast running to water from 8pm to 2am .Resuming at 6am .The hotel provides earplugs which did little to drown the noise from our neighbours, the railway line and the road . So unless you have a hearing impediment this will not be the establishment for you. Breakfast was basic and not very appetising. Yogurts were noted to be sitting out at room temperature which is far from ideal .
Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and we are sorry to hear your stay fell short of expectations. You raise valid points regarding the noise. Revelstoke is an active rail corridor, and the train rail line is a known characteristic of our location. We are sorry the earplugs provided were insufficient. We understand how disruptive a sleepless night can be, especially while travelling. Regarding the yogurts, we'd like to gently clarify that our breakfast yogurts are kept chilled on an ice tray to maintain the correct serving temperature, as we take food safety very seriously. That said, we are sorry this may not have been clearly visible. We will look at ways to better present this so guests feel confident in what is offered. We appreciate honest reviews like yours, as they help us improve. We hope you were still able to enjoy your time in Revelstoke despite the rocky night's sleep, and we are sorry we were not the right fit for your stay. Regards,
Great staff, clean rooms, easy access from highway, great breakfast

As a long time Best Western loyalty member, I've noticed the new creation of SureStay sub-brand. I can tell it's a down market one as it's often cheaper than those bearing “Best Western” label nearby. In fact at Revelstoke, there's a Best Western Prime which cost 30% more. Still, I didn't expect the kind of dump Best Western decide to include under its banner. The Stoke Hotel was an old, tired building. The moment I pulled up to it, I knew I was in for a big disappointment, just not how big that disappointment turns out to be. So, where do I start? Cracks in the porcelain sink. Rust on the heater. The window blind wouldn't stay up. Oh, never mind that, the window is tiny! So the room was dark even if the blinds worked, had to keep the light on during a bright day. Outside, the stair was dirty and the wood was splintering. Dirts from however long ago was under the roof. The hot tub had dirts so thick you could walk on it without touching the pool bottom! It's also the worst looking hotel in the entire village of Revelstoke. Why Best Western chose to include it in their brand is totally beyond me. But for me, I'm not going to touch their SureStay line with a 9 foot pole.
Dear April, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. I'm truly sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations and that you left feeling disappointed. Your experience is certainly not the impression we want any guest to have. We take your comments regarding the condition of the room and exterior areas very seriously. Issues such as the sink, heater, window coverings, lighting, and cleanliness you described fall short of our standards, and I sincerely apologize that this was your experience. Please know that your feedback has been shared with our maintenance and housekeeping teams so these concerns can be addressed promptly and thoroughly. Regarding the outdoor areas and hot tub, I am especially concerned by your remarks. Cleanliness and safety are top priorities for us, and what you described is unacceptable. We are investigating this immediately to ensure corrective action is taken. We understand how important first impressions are, and I regret that we did not deliver a welcoming and comfortable environment for you. While our property does have an older structure, we are actively working on improvements and updates, and feedback like yours helps guide where attention is most urgently needed. I also want to apologize for the frustration and loss of confidence you expressed toward the brand. While we are independently operated, we strive to uphold the standards associated with it, and I'm sorry we fell short during your visit. We appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention. If you would be open to it, I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly to learn more and hopefully restore some of your trust. Regards,
There is water in rug on floor. Was told it rained so that why there is water. I can sleep in my tent in the rain and not get wet. Mouldy smelling room, water in walls, mold on ceiling. This room should not be rented out. Management knew there was an issue.
Dear guest, Thanks a lot for sharing your concerns about the guest room of your recent stay with us. You are right, during the last heavy rainfall water must have found it's way unnoticed through the window and the carpet got wet in this area. This is completely unacceptable and we all completely understand your frustrations about the poor service you have received. Please accept our deepest apologies and we hope you will give us another chance in the future. Regards,
Awesome stay. The rooms are small but very clean, with fridge, microwave & coffee maker. The bed was very comfy with big pillows! We stayed in a pet friendly room with our dog. They have a big grassy area by the parking lot where we took her. The complimentary buffet breakfast in the morning was the best I have ever seen. I'm going to list all the things, it's extensive! Make your own waffles, boiled eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, ham and cheese omlettes, assortment of breads, loafs and bagels. All the condiments for them including Nutella and cream cheese. Fresh fruit: grapefruit, oranges, apples, bananas. I had Nutella and banana on my waffle, so delish! They also had pkgs of cookies: oreos, oatmeal raisin, SF chocolate chip, crackers. Juice, coffee, & a variety of cereal. There is something for everyone. The staff were very busy, cooking, cleaning tables, restocking food where needed. And the set up is nice with booths in quite a large area like a real restaurant. The breakfast is free but the staff work hard, please leave them a tip. I would say this breakfast could easily cost $30/person if you were paying. I didn't take my phone in or I would have taken pics. There is an outside hot tub but we didn't use so can't comment. The price was very reasonable too.
Dear Suereah, Thanks so much for your kind review. We are so happy to hear that you had a wonderful stay with us and you loved our breakfast. We hope to welcome you back soon. Regards,
The room was this clean and the staff were friendly. There was no elevator and the rooms were very small. The bathroom was very small with no room to place a toiletry bag. We liked the room colors and the complimentary parking and full breakfast. We moved to the Best Western Pius for the next night (about a block away) which was much nicer and worth the price difference.
Dear guest, Thanks a lot for sharing your feedback. We are glad to hear that you find our hotel clean and the staff friendly. Our management has addressed your comments on room size and elevstor and we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. We hope to welcome you again in the future. Regards,
The hotel is not new and the room was small. However; the furniture and bathrooms have been nicely updated. We both liked the walk in shower. So much nicer than the old bathtub style. Everything was very clean and the bed was comfortable. They provided earplugs as they are near the highway. We used the earplugs and we slept without disruption. The breakfast was especially good.
Dear guest, Thanks so much for your kind review. We are pleased to hear that our ear plus were working out for you. We hope to serve you soon again. Regards, P.v.W.
This hotel is part of Best Western, but really don't show it on their sign but other than that a very good experience. Front desk people very very helpful , best we have seen for a long time. The Breakfast is amazing, probably the best one we have have ever had as part of stay (other than some in Europe). Since retiring probably about 15 hotel nights a year. It is not what one would call High End but I would stay here again for sure.
Dear Jim, Thanks so much for your glowing review. We are so happy that you have enjoyed your stay and tried our popular hot breakfast buffet. We hope to welcome you soon again. Regards, P.v.W.
Excellent value for the cost of stay. Breakfast in the hotel diner was awesome. Hot and cold items and plenty of choices! The staff are wonderful and super friendly. This was our second time staying here and it will always be our number once choice when coming to Revelstoke.
Dear guest, Thanks so much for your kind review and thanks for being so loyal. We are very pleased that you have enjoyed your stay and we are looking forward to your next visit. Regards,
