Convenient location, excellent Staff, rooms are fresh and clean. Bed and bedding is soft and comfortable. Would stay again and recommend to family and friends traveling that way. Appreciated the housekeeping making sure the room was kept up with fresh supplies, check in and out was smooth and professional service. Thank you for keeping us safe.

We were impressed with the people who helped us at the front desk. We were moving in a U-haul truck, were tired and hungry. Our experience with checking in and changing to another room to be nearer family members went extremely smoothly and we appreciated that. The location was handy, plus we liked the security of the inner courtyard.

I had to stay overnight to finish up some work. It was just for a few hours and the price seemed reasonable. That should have been my first glue. This place appears relatively nice on the exterior and lobby. But the rooms were old dirty and uncomfortable. It did not feel clean. Everything did work tho except for the lock on the door. It appears that it had been kicked in before. The employees there were extremely nice and the appearance upon approach was relatively nice but just a facade. I could not recommend this place to anyone I care about unless they were homeless.

My husband and I stayed at this Best Western Inn last week for one night. While the room was clean, not everything was hit during the latest remodel. The lighted makeup mirror was half hanging out of the wall, for example. A quality control expert should make a thorough inspection of each room. At about 4 AM, a guest started loudly yelling obscenities, and it took about 15 minutes before he stopped. I don't know if staff spoke to him or if he just ran down. We went to the breakfast buffet a few minutes after 6 AM when it opened; however, there were already no forks and the spoons were nearly gone. How to eat a sausage with a spoon? The butter was stored in a mini fridge where it was hard as a rock and quite un-spreadable. We couldn't find the start button on the microwave. Although the scrambled eggs and sausage were tasty, overall this was a disappointing breakfast.

Place is clean and decent. With the amenities I need (internet, breakfast). Close to downtown Redwood City and highway. you can hear people talking outside the room and the train passing from a block a way but not super loud. I didn't hear people from next door. Overall I think it's a decent, simple place to stay.

I would not recommend staying here with children. There is a lot of smoking, loud people and the carpets are the grossest I have ever seen. Just black with dirt and grimy. If you do stay here, I wouldn't take off your shoes.

This is a humble but clean and friendly 2 star inn. It's the kind of review I worry about writing because then it won't be as cozy when it gets booked up from a nice review! The staff are friendly and helpful, location is great for walkers, bicyclists, public transportation or your car because there's parking, which can be tricky in this neighborhood. Delicious breakfast-- hot and cold with nice touches-- nuts and dried berries with the oatmeal, fresh hb eggs, nicer yogurt. Also fantastic (but pricey) breakfast/lunch restaurant right next door. The pool can have too many leaves but its a pleasant oasis to hang out in during the day. No spa and pool is only open until 7. Lower floor for we knee joint challenged is the way to go. Ask for a room in the back.

Nice and clean place. Thought it was going to be noisy, but it was actually quiet. Easy to get to. This was a trip to Stanford Hospital for my granddaughter and the staff was really nice and accommodating to my needs.

Stayed with Best Western Inn for 2 weeks on a work trip and it was actually a lot better than I thought it would be. The free breakfast in the morning is great as lots of different options (Freshly made waffles, Bagels, Scrambled Egg, Sausages, Toast, Cereals, Oats, etc) - not sure if that's just an american thing but usually a free breakfast doesn't have that much choice. Can't complain with the cleanliness of the room and also the amenities in the room (really enjoyed the fact that there was a coffee machine with Pods). During my stay the coffee machine broke a couple of times but maintenance were up immediately and fixed it/replaced it in a timely manner. The only comment I'd make on the room is that it looks a little outdated - otherwise, I was happy with it.

It all started when I checked in lady at the front desk very helpful she gave me room keys show me on the map where my room was tell me where the breakfast was show me where the pool is and then she asked if I needed any help with my bags and then I proceeded to my room open the door and thoroughly enjoyed the room it was a really good stay at that hotel

Good Price with good breakfast Excellent location. I stayed at this Best Western Hotel for four nights in the middle of Nov. 2019. I'm in town to visit San Francisco and this hotel was a perfect location. Very decent breakfast choices fruits, with juices and good coffee as well.

We stayed at this Best Western Hotel for two nights in the middle of October, 2019. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was also very good. The hotel was clean and quiet. When we left, we left an item in the hotel room that we didn't notice until we got back home. I called the hotel and they had already found the item. I asked if they could ship it to our home and they did. Thank you Best Western!! We've stayed at many Best Western hotels and this has got to be the best yet.

We were in town to visit San Francisco and this hotel was a perfect location. The best part was the hot breakfast they offer. My kids enjoyed waffles and hot chocolate. The sausages and scrambled eggs were the best.

The person working at the front desk was very helpful and kind. We didn't realize that the hotel does not have am elevator, and after I explained to the worker that my son had a disability with his hand, he offered to help us carry our luggage upstairs. He did that without being asked. It was very nice!

Stayed here when leaving San Francisco. Rooms were clean and had a refrigerator, nice cumfy beds. Layout of hotel was neat with the outdoor pool in the middle with a wall around whole hotel. Hotel staff were friendly and lobby was very nice. This little area was cute we were able to walk to a park behind the hotel for an evening walk, KFC and Starbucks in walking distance for a quick bite. Also a good value at $125. Continental breakfast was the usual with waffles but really good sausage and extras- would stay again.

The front desk was rude, and didn't want to help me with a reservation issue. My room was dirty and someone had used the toilet and not flushed. So this is supposed to be a clean room? Lots is street noise.

Our room was clean but faced on to El Camino Real which was noisy until quite late. There's a commuter train track nearby so there were blared crossing warnings again until quite late. Straight forward thermostat. Our bed was a marshmallow! Beautifully lit vanity mirror and full length mirror outside bathroom were highlights. Wonderful full breakfast . . . eggs, waffles, pasteries, etc. Plenty of free parking

I hate writing bad reviews but my room felt so dusty and I came away with bug bites on my arms for my money. Prices in the area are so high. I'd expect a clean bed at the very least. I'm a Diamond Select member and have stayed in many BW properties in California, they definitely vary in quality. I would hesitate to stay at this hotel again.

The hotel was conveniently located area with easy access to the 101 and proximity to Redwood City downtown. Rooms were spacious and well organized. Plenty of outlets! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with recommendations on restaurants.

We were in town on a Sunday evening because my husband had to check in at Sequoia Hospital at 6:00 a.m. Monday morning for a procedure scheduled there. The hospital recommended this hotel saying they would give a discount for their patients. For Sunday night, this worked out well. It was $130 out the door with taxes. The hospital recommended we book 2 nights since Dan might be kept overnight for observation. Due to business travelers coming in, unfortunately, we were unable to get that great rate the 2nd night...it would have been triple that amount, so I had to book a second hotel for night 2. Our room was room 105, right across from the pool (which we didn't use). We found the location pretty quiet. Our room was lovely. It had 2 queen-size beds that were sooo - comfortable with a nice thick mattress and 4 cushy pillows on each bed. The room had all the equipment a traveler could need: Flat screen TV, mini fridge, microwave, coffee machine that takes pods (with several variaties of coffee and teas to choose from). To a typical woman's delight, there were double quantities of all those little treasures like little bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, mouth wash, along with packets of make-up remover, eye pads, shower cap, and even a shoeshine packet. Now that's what I call hospitality! They also provided a hair dryer. My husband wasn't allowed to eat so we rushed out the door at 5:45 a.m. for the hospital. After getting him settled in at the hospital, I returned to the hotel for breakfast and a nap. I was rather surprised at how breakfast is handled here. There is no dining room. They set up tables and chairs in the lobby itself. One would think it was be too crowded, but it wasn't. However. there was only one other person eating when I returned there. The food was ample. I managed to make a mess with the waffle machine, but the attendant was kind enough to clean up and make me a new one without a complaint. There were perfectly cooked scrambled eggs in a chafing dish + cold boiled eggs, along with many traditional things like breads and bagels to toast, dry cereal (with all kinds of additions as well), yogurt, small cans of fruit cocktail, coffee, tea, chocolate, milk, and orange juice. After breakfast I went back to my room and took a nap on that wonderful bed until check out time which is 11:00 a.m. My only squawk on this hotel is that we requested a wake-up call, which didn't happen. Fortunately, Dan managed to wake up on his own to make it to his 6:00 a.m. appointment.

Online Reward Redemption process not smooth, nor were details communicated to the location staff with my reservation I specified a service animal traveling with me and requested this information be exchanged with the facility. It was not and caused problems at check in.

I needed a fairly inexpensive clean comfortable hotel close to Kaiser Medical Center and found this gem only 1.5 miles from the Hospital. I was able to get a good breakfast each morning and in rook K-Cup coffee. They were flexible with my dates for I never knew day to day when I would leave

Visiting family in the Redwood City area, we picked the Best Western Inn for its location and we're so glad we did! The management and front desk team are friendly, responsive and helpful. The rooms are newly renovated and spotlessly clean. Many thoughtful touches are included, such as a microwave and fridge; the shower is wonderful and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast is included and has a nice variety. A cooler/ fridge in the lobby contains complimentary bottles of water. There is an attractive pool area with lounging chairs (and wheelchair access) however the weather this trip wasn't conducive to us using the pool! In short, this hotel exceeded our expectations, and we enjoyed our stay as much as we have at many higher priced properties. It's the people and the intent that make the difference. We would stay here again for sure, and we recommend it highly!

Our family little getaway was very delightful thanks to the Best Western Hotel personnel in Redwood City. This was our first time there and we loved it. The 35 minutes to San Francisco was not bad at all since we truly enjoyed this city before going to "The City".

A great bargain for the peninsula. Clean and well-appointed, perfect for a business traveler. Not the newest or swankest place to stay in the area, but more than acceptable. The general manager was truly amazing. He was friendly and very helpful in recommending restaurants and other high points. What's more, we had many stimulating conversations with him during our stay on a wide variety of subjects. He is really a Renaissance man - knowledgeable and articulate in diverse areas. We would return if only to chat with him some more!

I Like the room set up, especially having the microwave next to the bathroom sink...GOOD IDEA, Best Western! Please don't change that location. Other hotels have it in front of the bed, with very annoying lights blinking all night. I have had to get up and put wash cloths over the microwave lights in front of the bed. No problem at the Best Western Redwood City..

I stayed at the Best Western because it was reasonably ranked and I needed to be in Redwood City. What a mistake! The rooms are totally depressing, one can hear the rumbling from El Camino Real, and the WiFi is so bad you cannot VPN. The price is not even that great.

This hotel is close to downtown businesses and is quite comfortable. Has recently been renovated. Only downside is morning noise from the street. Breakfast is just OK but edible. There is a restaurant next door. Seemed a little expensive for this type of hotel.

and it shows...from the clean common area and room; to the greetings they gave to their guests and each other .....on the mornings of my stay, the front desk person was also 'in charge of ' the breakfast area..refilling supplies and cleaning the area. Breakfast area can get crowded as it is right in the lobby. All and all, very good stay. Location is great....if you feel that you need Starbucks strength coffee, there's one right down El Camino.

It is a nice place to stay if you only need a place to sleep. It is clean and the staff are very helpful and nice. Parking is the problem. You either have to park on the street or share parking space with a restaurant next door.

This hotel is well located right on El Camino at the end of Redwood City and San Carlos. It is expensive - unfortunately every hotel in the Bay Area is also expensive. Cheaper on the weekends than during the week due to all the business travelers. Nice rooms, seem to have been recently updated. No elevator so be aware of that if you need one. Only 2 stories. Rooms were clean and staff was nice. Breakfast is typical BW fare. Wood recommend.

The hotel was clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was nice and the location was great for the reason that we were visiting. There was a surgical procedure that we needed to take care of and the hospital even recommended this location. It was great.

Best Western Inn in Redwood City is a very basic hotel. It has what you need, but could do with an enormous facelift. The rooms are large and fairly clean but way too expensive. But guess it is ok if everything else is sold out ...

Staff is super friendly and helpful. I'm usually here once a month on business and prefer to stay at this location. Stacks is next door and the train is super close. There's a few cute restaurants near by along with a 24hr 7-eleven which has come in handy a couple of times.

I checked in here at the last minute for the Labor Day weekend there were no other available rooms anywhere. I had just come from a really bad hotel down the road so this was a breath of fresh air. Patrick the hotel lobby receptionist was very accommodating and polite. Impeccable establishment, and modern facility. Everything was clean and the location was quiet, even though it was it's on a busy road with train tracks across the street. I didn't hear anything all night even the rooms have double darkening shades so light doesn't come in! I can't say enough about this place there's just too many good things to mention!!

With hotels in the San Francisco Bay Area well in excess of $150 a night. My wife and I found this little gem for $110. Very nice comfortable room, excellent service, and a good location. We were in the Bay Area for one night to see a show so this hotel was the perfect option for the comfort, price, and location.

The Hotel is not so far from Whipple and the 101 in Redwood City, and was well-situated for my needs. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean and in working order, though the WiFi was weak. They do offer a cable connection to the internet, so bring one. The staff were very pleasant. Breakfast was the minimum but okay enough, and there was plenty of parking.

Stayed here for 3 nights rooms and bathrooms were very clean. Had a complimentary breakfast and also used the pool. Would stay again especially for the price. Beds and sheets also seemed to be clean and were changed everyday!

best place to stay in the bay area! Everything was clean and neat, the breakfast display (and taste) was super!! Good parking, Quiet although the hotel is close to dining and shopping and the train depot is within walking distance.

I stayed here one night and was woken up at 11:30pm to loud neighbors. I realized the a/c fan had kicked off once the desired temp was reached. I usually just keep the fan on manually for a noise buffer but this one would not work. I called down to the front desk and they did their best to quiet them but this guy knew how to dodge them. They told me he was a businessman who stayed there often. Not sure what kind of "business" but I heard a woman hooting and hollering with him.Nice cover. He acted like he was sleeping when they knocked on his door and didn't answer the phone when they tried to call him. They had someone sit in the room on the other side and wait for the noise to start up again but, of course, he was smart enough to wait. I set the a/c down to 60 degrees so the fan would stay on but it didn't work for very long. I ended up calling down 3x's to no avail. They just couldn't catch him. I just wish they would've moved me when I told them the a/c fan wasn't working or at least offered me a discount for a sleepless night. The front desk guys were very courteous and tried their best but I should've just been moved.

Excellent location for the Reining By the Bay Horse Show! It turned out to be a great location with restaurants around and Starbucks. Convenient to freeway and other by ways. If we come to this show again we will stay at this location.

I was recovering from surgery at a local hospital and the hotel staff was wonderful. I will continue to stay there as I return for future medical appointments during the next year. The pool area and garden is private and quite lovely

Clean ,Friendly hotel to stay , you can always count on Best Western. The rooms have nice rolling blinds that don't let the sunlight come in and you actually get to sleep in. The beds and pillows are very comfortable as always. Plus San Francisco bay pier 39 is about 20-30 minutes from the hotel.

Quiet well appointed room centrally located. This hotel is located very close to Sequoia Hospital which proved very convenient for my visit to the area. Stacks restaurant for breakfast and lunch is right next door. The front desk staff was very helpful.

Have stayed there many times, but this time the TV stopped working. They tried to fix it, but it didn't stay fixed. Otherwise, excellent as always. For value, I rated down, since the rates were higher due to graduations. (I think)

I stayed here the first time, location is convenient to Sea Port area. The rooms was clean and in excellent condition, renovated. The breakfast in the morning had good options. Also Starks was next-door. It also has high speed internet which was good to get my presentation done. Hotels in the area are pricey, so this hotel was costly also. Staff was helpful .

This place goes above and beyond EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. Veronica and Jimi kill it in customer service. This place is so great it's I joined the rewards program because of the staff. Family friendly, located next to downtown, train station, and close to freeways. Highly recommend!

Staff Jimi, went out of his way when I checked in to accommodate us. Although I had already booked online at a higher price, he went out of his way to give me the best deal and save me $20 on my bill. He went above and beyond what he did not have to do to ensure that our stay was affordable, accommodating, and a wonderful experience. The price was excellent for our stay, breakfast was awesome at a perfect time in the morning and staff at checkout was just as good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is visiting any of the surrounding attractions to stay at. It is also right next-door to a very popular pancake house and wonderful restaurants all around within walking distance you need not go anywhere else!

I don't consider myself overly picky, but this place was atrocious! The pictures are deceptive, the property needs lost of help. I did not feel safe here and asked the staff about safety. I was told that the outside "gate/door" was locked at all times. It was NEVER locked during the 20 hours we were there. I told the staff that it was not locked and they argued with me!!! The lock on the door was a joke. The refrigerator (a key reason I chose this spot) did not work. When I called, the staff ARGUED, finally reluctantly agreeing to replace it the NEXT day. All of my "need refrigeration items" were ruined. The door had nearly an inch gap at the bottom where you could even see feet as people walked by and smaller gaps all around the door. It was so noisy and the people in the next room yelled at each other much of the night. The biggest problem was the lack of hot water in the shower! It was lukewarm at best; I shivered. I tried everything and it was not my issue. Imagine how shocked I was when I had very hot water in the sink!!! I ran back to the bath and tried it again.... no hot water no matter what I tried, which tells me that the dial under the faucet (which can be turned down to avoid scalding a child) was set so low that "hot" was impossible. So no sleep, no sense of safety, ruined food, and not even a hot shower... for a hefty price tag??? I was most disappointed by the arguing from the staff.... they called me after I left (I had reserved for 10 nights, but stayed only one) and told me that they reduced my bill by $20 as an attempt to make things right.... ummm, that's almost insulting! Just NO.

This is an older motel style property with doors opening onto the outside. The rooms are large and the ongoing restoration means the rooms are very nice. The bed was incredibly comfortable. They are renovating rooms but they are doing an excellent job of ensuring that the guests are not disturbed in any way. Very pleased with room and value.

The hotel is located in the industrial side of town, yet once inside, it is a gem of a retreat. From the moment I stepped in the door, I was greeted warmly and expertly. The young men were dressed in suits, which immediately gives off an air of professionalism. They tended to my every question satisfactorily. The room was clean, spacious and private. The workers even stopped the renovations of the rooms around me at 4pm. For the price, the buffet breakfast was a cornucopia of healthy grains, fruits and proteins. I always appreciate eggs, sausage and yogurt. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

I was in town for business and was provided a room at this Best Western. Stayed about a week and my room was clean, the bed was comfortable and housekeeping was friendly and thorough. The free breakfast is quite good and provides eggs, waffles and a great selection of of yougurts. But the thing that sets this apart from other similar hotels is the excellent front desk service. If you like Best Western, I recommend this hotel.

Room was excellent and comfortable. Quiet and no problems. Pool area looked very inviting but it was the wrong time of the year. Location very close to many city amenities and conveniences. Close to freeways too.

This is a basic hotel with all basic amenities. Breakfast is simple but, good with Scrambled eggs and pork sausages few variety breads, juice, coffee and waffles. They have a small pool and and Ice machine. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good restaurants and convenience stores like 7 Eleven, Trader Joe's close by.

Close to Stanford Pain Clinic, Redwood City, CA and Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, CA. Good restaurant next door and the Stanford Shopping center is only about 5 miles away, easy drive. And San Francisco is very close. We were limited in hotels in this price range and we are fortunate to find this one

Really nice staff and good location. Great, great restaurant right next door. Pool and grotto area are really nice, esp. at night. I have stayed here repeatedly due to the ease of checking in and checking out and will stay again.

This place was amazing and a perfect getaway from where I live the breakfast was a good way to start the day. The room was clean and very comfortable.The front desk was more willing to help us out with any questions. It's that far from San Francisco we went shortly after check really liked the little park across the street. Also went to half moon bay on our stay great views from all over redwood city and close by. We'll always think coming back. Stay was very well and worth the price.

This hotel is a real quaint jewel in the middle of crazy traffic and trains. Once you enter your room the outside world kinda goes away. It is pretty quiet considering all that is going on around it. There is shopping close by and some local restaurants close by. There is a restaurant right next door, "Stax" that competes for parking as the lot is small. They close at 2pm though so after that parking is good. Sevice is excellent and always accommodating.

We could walk to my school and down town to visit all the beautiful places. I went to Sequoia High school and did't know my husband was a grade before me until he was at San Jose college. was married 64 yrs. Nice quiet, clean motel. Right next door to a great place for breakfast called "STACKS" ! ! ! Rooms are clean, quiet and a very nice small pool. The location is convenient to a major freeway which is within a quarter of a mile. Also San Francisco is within 20 miles as is San Jose. Prices are much better during the week as compared to those on the weekend.

Older hotel yet it was extremely clean, quiet, and pleasantly decorated/painted. I could tell attention to both detail and quality were important to them. Everyone was extremely polite and helpful. I thought it wonderful that both a Bible and a Bhagavadgita were available in room for those of different faith backgrounds.

Staff is nice. Price is pretty much the best and the hotel is very nice. i have stayed here on very long trips and am always happy. the pool/grotto area is especially nice. this is a quality hotel and they are in process of improving it. restaurant next door is phenomenal as well.

I had to be in Redwood City for a medical procedure at Sequoia Hospital. I was able to get a "hospital" rate and with the rates so high in the Bay Area, this is a plus. Everyone was very courteous and very helpful.

Great location, clean well appointed rooms. The staff was helpful. Breakfast was ready early enough for someone who has to be at work by 7, there were plenty of options to chose from. I felt safe staying here. Far more than I can say of other "inns" on the same road. I've stayed in 6 different "inns" and finally found one I would return to. Thank you!

It is hard to find a room in the area on short notice. They did everything to help accommodate me. The room was nice and I slept well. Breakfast was good. I would come here again, even if there was something closer to my destination at Portola Valley.

What a pleasant stay. My mom had open heart surgery at Stanford so stayed there while she was in hospital. The staff was especially friendly and helpful. Location was good with various places to eat nearby. I would definitely stay here again.

We we passing through the area late at night and pricing was outrageous for area hotels. We found this place for a reasonable price. It was clean and comfortable. Front desk clerk was very nice. Breakfast was adequate.

We have stayed at this location 5 times in the last six months when we come to Stanford hospital. This time our shower and shower curtain were moldy and the coffee pot was dirty. Hair on the counter. When I complained ad asked for an adjustment on the room rate I was told that my rate was already discounted. Apparently if you want a clean room you must pay more. We will not be back.

We needed a hotel room for one night near Redwood City, CA on short notice. Most hotels we scanned online were asking $300 or more. We chose this property based on price as well as prior ratings and reviews. We were not disappointed. Make no mistake, this property is somewhat older, and the rooms are somewhat small. The furniture was quite basic. But the room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and we had all the usual amenities (flat screen TV, microwave, refrigerator, etc.). The pool in the courtyard was quite nice. The continental breakfast was very basic. The air conditioning unit was somewhat noisy. There is no elevator to the second floor. Given all that, I was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism of the staff. They were quite courteous and helpful...over and above the call of duty. My preferred chain is Courtyard by Marriott or something similar...this property was clearly a step below that...but it met my needs and provided value on short notice. I would stay there again.

My buddy and I stayed here for over a week where the guest services including Austin, Iraisa and Marissa were awesome. The front desk was always friendly and asked if we needed anything. They provided a great breakfast of either fresh cooked eggs and perfectly crisp bacon or sausage which saved us time to go looking for breakfast. Austin and Iraisa provided directions and schedules for us to catch the Caltrain to the two COPA soccer games and a Giants game. The beds were extremely comfortable, always fresh towels and linen, and the rooms kept clean by the friendly housekeeping staff. The only small issue was that the pool area was being retiled, so we could not relax in the pool. But since our schedules were hectic, we would have used it very little. It was originally one of the reasons I chose this location, other that the close proximity to my other family and friends in the area. Best Western is my usual go to for fairly priced, clean and comfortable stays. I don't need the 5 star attention and glitz. Redwood City BW Inn is by far the best BW I have ever stayed at. I left my camera battery and charger plugged in and only remembered it a few days later. The housekeeping staff had retrieved it. Jean and Austin searched for it and shipped it back to me promptly. Who could ask for anything more?

Since I walked in to check in, the front desk clerk was very kind and elaborated on having a conversation. After that, my family and I did need help with luggage and he offered to help. From there, we got to the room, it was spacious clean and fresh. Most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. The next morning we went down for breakfast at 9:25, we had forgotten they closed breakfast at 9:30, but the young lady let us get our breakfast and made more eggs for us. Everything was delicious , but besides that I do have a suggestion. Maybe consider getting more heavy tables and seats , the ones they have are a bit light and when you are about to sit down, the chair floats away. I almost fell. But besides that. It was all smooth and great customer service and hospitality. We left on time and the maids in a hurry were cleaning here and there. I will make sure to come back this summer !

The staff here was lovely. I would highly recommend staying here. Everything was clean and conveniently located. Located near public transportation and very close to the center of the city. This place had the friendliest staff who were more than willing to help us find the best route around town. Good breakfast, too!

very helpful and courteous staff. very nice room, bed and bath. good hot breakfast. the location is excellent, near the old town. plus we could walk to a sports bar and watch the warriors game. the pool and surround made a very pleasant courtyard environment. the staff go out of their way to accommodate and make people comfortable.

The hotel is in the midst of renovation, but work stops at 5. Room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Free breakfast included various breads, fruit, and scrambled eggs. We wanted chocolate. There was none at the front desk snack rack, so the clerk offered to go out and buy us some. Couldn't believe the offer. We politely declined and walked to the convenience store two doors down. The room was very quiet for being on a busy street.

This is the first time that we've stayed at this Best Western, and we were very pleased with both the hotel and the location. We were here for a one night stay. The rooms face away from the street with the doors facing the pool. It was quiet and very peaceful. The staff greeted us every time we entered the lobby and went out of their way to make us feel special; providing directions to a local dive bar that was a favorite of my husband's back when he attended Stanford. We will be staying here the next time our travels bring us to the area.

We had a Cardiac Medical procedure done at nearby Sequoia Hospital. This hotel was very close. They offered a Medical rate as well. Staff was helpful. Very convenient. We would go there again if we needed other Medical attention. Close to Restaurants as well.

The rooms are very clean and quite. We order room service and had a pizza and it was the best pizza we had ever. Cost was the same as if you order one at home and it was real hot. Breakfast buffet is very good also.

Checked in for a one night stay with my 5-year-old son. The clerk greeted us and was pleasant to talk to. As a plus, without me reminding him, he noted we had requested a room on the second floor when we booked the hotel and said we would be accommodated. And after that, everything went downhill. We went to our room (207) and noticed immediately that the overhead light at the entrance to the room didn't work (probably a burnt out bulb). After turning on the other lights in the room, it appeared the room had been cleaned and the bed made. However, when I went to the bathroom, there were specks of poop on the toilet seat. I cleaned the seat and sat down and a little less than a minute later I noticed that my feet were getting wet--there was a leak in the toilet and it was spreading across the bathroom floor. Got up and called the front desk and told them the toilet was leaking to which the clerk said he would be right up. Over an hour goes by and no one came to our room. My kid needs to use the bathroom at this point, so we headed downstairs to use the one in the lobby. I tell the front desk clerk (same guy who greeted us and who took my call about the problem) that the puddle is only getting bigger to which he apologizes and says he'll be right up. I asked if I could just get another room and he agreed and gave us the card keys for room 216. We moved our stuff to 216. The room was in much better condition. However, we had problems turning off the bathroom water facet completely so it just dripped all night. As for amenities, we tried using the pool but it was unheated and too cold for my son and I to jump in to. Breakfast was almost the typical Best Western fare, except there was no fruit or honey. Sigh. This wasn't the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, but it was certainly the worst Best Western (and they are my go-to chain for lodging). With countless hotels in this part of the Bay Area that could be booked for the same price, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless it clean's up its act.

A family member was having surgery at Kaiser, and we wanted to be nearby, possible in walking distance. This Best Western offered a hospital discount, and was almost perfect for us. Since we were there almost a week, the lack of laundry facilities was a problem. If your stay is short, then this is the place for you...neat, clean, and friendly! The front desk employees were spectacular: Austin, Marissa, Jean, and others....and Martha who was in charge of housekeeping...magnificent. The breakfast offered eggs, meat, pastries, cereals..hot and cold, waffles, juices and good strong coffee. The in-room coffee was also strong and tasty. Next door is "Stacks"...open for breakfast until 2pm. Due to the windy, rainy weather we were not able to walk to hospital, but the drive was short. If we return to Redwood City for a shorter visit, we will stay there again...especially if there are in house laundry facitilies.

When my room was first booked, I was a touch uncertain of the quality of the hotel, only based on an exterior photo...But I am glad to say I was wrong! The staff was extremely nice and helpful, my room was spacious, clean, and quiet, location was convenient for my needs. The bathroom was spacious and well lit as well, something that is often overlooked in many hotels, and the housekeeping staff did a top-notch job as well. Marissa, had a smile that helped shine though the constant rain and was a delightful help in locating options for local travel and weather. I would not have known about the SuperShuttle that was available to pick me up and take me to the airport, if not for her. The morning breakfast offered a nice selection of eggs, bacon, waffles, yogurt, and drinks in the welcoming lobby. Despite being on such a main road, the room was quiet (only hearing the train going by sometimes, but that's not uncommon anywhere you're near the Caltrain.) I recommend this hotel and look forward to staying there again when I return to Redwood City.

This Best Western is ideally situated between the SFO airport and the hi-tech companies in and around Menlo park. Set back from a key street to get around - El Camino Real - the hotel is very quiet. You can't hear any traffic. And after the filling BW breakfast you are on your way.

I had to be in the area for work on short notice and finding a hotel at a reasonable price point was proving to be almost impossible. Finally settled on the Best Western Inn and arrived with my expectations in check. Well I have to say between the very friendly accommodating staff, location, room size, room being very clean and nice little breakfast my expectations were easily surpassed. Two extras were that the internet speed was stable/fast and the shower pressure was great. This is not a luxury hotel and they don't pretend to be one. They are a clean, friendly place to lay your head down at night. The only reasons I could not give 5 stars was because it can be a little noisy, especially when the train goes by across the street (but really only during the heavy commute times) and because the room was a little dated.

What a great place. I was up to cheer my son on in the Stanford Treeathlon and wanted a place close but reasonable. The location was perfect. Close enough to the freeway and the Marina. It had everything I needed. My sons team was staying over in Fremont for the same price in an unfortunately less than quality place. After my son's pre meet practice he went to get his stuff and joined me. The staff was friendly, professional and very concerned about our needs in the horrible weather. Only problem was that I couldn't put the stay on one family account. Instead of having an account for each person in the family. Room was fresh, clean, updated and parking was safe. Would recommend this place to the team next year. ;)

Really enjoyed my stay at this Best Western. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Location was perfect for my needs. Room was fresh and clean. no complaints at all. Would stay again next time I'm in the area.

The sevice was very professional and the room was very clean and roomy. Has a tv, microwave, and refrigerator. very roomy bathroom and very clean the breakfast was very well laid out and had a reasonable assortment of products.

My husband and I needed a place to stay overnight that was close to Stanford Hospital and that was reasonably priced for the area. The Best Western Hotel on El Camino fulfilled these needs very well. The manager and staff were courteous, accommodating and helpful. The breakfast, which is available at 6:00 am on weekdays, consisted of a few varieties of cereals, yogurt, boiled eggs, and scrambled eggs and sausage with many types of bread and pastries. We did not go hungry! The Best Western Hotel is conveniently located; the rooms are clean, spacious, quiet and priced fairly. It was obvious that the management and staff take pride in their property and are willing to go the extra mile to satisfy their customers. We will be staying there again on our return visit to the hospital and would recommend it to other travelers.

I had to be in the are for a business meeting in Palo Alto. I selected this property for the room rate and easy access to the freeway. The room was clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast was just enough to get me started on my day.

I have no complaints. It was intended for a quick over night stay with a breakfast and that's what I expected. The hotel was clean and quite with friendly staff. The price was decent compared to the prices quoted for something closer to my destination (Palo Alto) and was only a 20 minute drive away

It's an old apartment building converted to a Motel. No private parking or secure! Parking area and outside of Motel dirty with trash, etc. Dirty hotel room. The bathroom fan didn't work. The toilet flush handle stuck. Tub/shower dripping. People screaming outside at 6:00 am!!!! Maids standing around talking. Cigarette butts EVERYWHERE!!!!! And the "coffee" wasn't drinkable. My advice-LOOK FOR ANOTHER HOTEL (MOTEL)!!

Clean, very comfy beds, right on El Camino Real and next door to Stacks, a fantastic breakfast/lunch restaurant, although the hotel did offer a good breakfast with a great coffee/expresso machine. Free parking and close to highways.

Me and wife Anila stated here for 2weeks in May during our visit to Silicon Valley. What we liked was the fact that the number of rooms are quite limitted and hence the hotel is rather quite and uncrowded. You will always have a place to sit during breakfast. There was Bananas, Oranges, Waffle, freshly Boiled Eggs, Cinnamon rolls, selection of Yogurts etc for breakfast. The car rental place is just opposite and there are a number of shops and restaurants nearby. Its a very convenient location. Plenty of parking places as well. We did enjoy our stay for a rather lengthy 14 nights.

Motel is conveniently located in Redwood City and in a nice area. It is a relative bargain for staying on the peninsula. Close to Stanford and San Mateo. Pool/courtyard area is nice. Lobby is bit small and the rooms could use an update, but other than that a nice place to stay.

This vacation trip, by car, North on the Pacific Coast Hwy, we spend the night at the Best Western Inn, Redwood City, California. We were in no way disappointed. The night registration clerk was very professional and had a sense of humor. As is was Hallowee Eve, he was dressed as a "Super Hero". The morning staff, owner/manager and his Wife, very professional, courteous, a sense of humor, providing a cheerful atmosphere. At Breakfast, assistance was provided for anyone walking with a cane or other devices.

I'm impressed ! Looking at the outside three stars but when you are welcomed at check in then go to the room. That's where the five stars come in. The room is large with very nice decor and most importantly a comfortable bed. I have this spot bookmarked.

The front desk clerks at check-in and check-out were excellent. Very friendly, courteous and helpful. Always greeted me with a smile and displayed a pleasant attitude along with professional customer service. On the downside, the commuter train noise was quite loud at times.

This hotel is not fancy, and definitely an older building, but our room was clean and the people were nice. The one bad thing is the parking. The parking lot is shared with the restaurant next door and is not very big. It was hard to find a parking stall during peak eating hours.

The property was "OK" and a reasonable value for the area. But, the staff was less than competent at check-in and it only got worse after that. It took me at least 5-6 separate phone calls over 45+ days to get a reciept emailed to me. I finally had the Best Western national customer assistance desk intervene. Without there help I don't think I would have ever recieved a reciept.

Have stayed at Best Westerns for decade, and at this facility numerous times over the last 6 or 7 years. It is well maintained, the staff is great, and the prices reasonable for what you get. The Bay Area is expensive and it's nice to find a good value for the money. It includes a continental breakfast, but with Stacks' Restaurant next door, we used have breakfast there, also very good.

Easy access to 101. Great place to stay for easy trip to Stanford Clinic (6 mi.). Clean, good service, excellent continental breakfast. Fast food & diners close. Has the best reviews of all others on Stanford's list of hotels - some were actually scary! The train across the street quiets down late evening. Would recommend & would stay there again. J. Webb

Staff was courteous and the room was clean, but the room smelled like a combination of cleaning solvent and aftershave. The air conditioning unit was loud and ran constantly. Wireless signal was too weak to use. I recommend looking elsewhere in the area.

Unlike some of the newer Best Western properties, this property is still in the older style of exterior walkways and rooms, and there is no elevator. Luggage must be carried up the stairs, The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The room we were shown was unfortunately a little dark and uninviting. The entire facility seemed to be clean, with a bright outdoor pool.

The facility was very clean and the beds were great. Staff was extremely helpful. I would definitely stay there again. We didn't use the pool but it looked nice. Rooms were reasonably price for the area.
