We stay at BW Twin View for one night during our tour of Northern California and Oregon. Check in was very slow with the receptionist being away from the desk for over 15 minutes, we then also had a problem with a tap where we could not get it to turn on correctly. This was sorted quickly by maintenance. The room was comfortable and a good breakfast was provided the following morning. Restaurants in this area are few and far between, it would be better to venture into the town to find a good place to eat.
After a long drive in, I was thankful that my room was ready - I knew I was early, but they had space for me. This was much appreciated! The staff was friendly and helpful. I liked that I had the option not to have housekeeping service as my stay was only 2 nights - it always seems wasteful to have new towels for such a short stay. The property was clean and well maintained. I didn't check out the pool as I forgot to bring my swimsuit. My room was clean and in good shape. Their selection for TV options was more than I have had in other hotels. The bed was comfy and my pillows fluffy. Breakfast was the same as I have enjoyed at other Best Westerns. If you have had a hotel breakfast you know what I am talking about. They had all you expected, I did like the fruit option. The parking lot was ample and I never had a problem finding a spot. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. All in all, I was happy I chose this hotel.
Clean, comfortable room. Friendly & helpful staff. Location was very convenient, easy off & on I-5. We will definitely plan to stay here the next time we're in the Redding area and we are very happy to recommend to our friends & family. Do yourselves a favor and stay at this lovely Best Western Plus.
This hotel feels very old inside, outside was beautiful and updated. Check in was efficient and friendly. King room was smaller than most Best Western Hotels. Stains on the bed skirt, wallpaper peeling off the walls. Lighting in the bathroom was great for makeup, There is no hot tub / jacuzzi as advertised. What they do have is a hole in the ground filled with concrete. The woman who worked in the the free breakfast was very friendly and helpful. We definitely would not return. Room # 205
Great spot to spend the night, room was comfortable and large. We had the king suite which slept all four of us comfortably. The breakfast was good with the exception of the attendant not keeping the food trays stocked. Staff did a great job in check in/out!
Hands down most Wonderful Place to stay in Redding Ca!!!! Peter and staff are EXTREMELY Kind and accommodating…. The price was wonderful…. Can't say enough. The pillows, the bedding, the room, all of it. Stay Here. 🎉💕😎 When a manager ( Peter) has been there for at east 15 years, you know he cares! This is as close to Home as you can get! So Happy I chose BW Twin View!
Hotel needs a major upgrade - carpets, paint and general fix up. Not too late to save the Best Western reputation!
I had a wonderful stay here. Stayed one night. The hotel was quiet and clean. Just a short ways off the highway, perfect stop for a quick night at a hotel. Staff was friendly and attentive.
Checked in with 2 children. Husband met me after check in. I left to get food when 2 males opened our room door and acted as they didn't know what happened. They met my husband in the room instead of me, alone with my children. They kept testing their keys on our door stating they wanted to make sure their key didn't work because “ they don't want their key to open our door” mind you, they had just opened the door with the key. I was never contacted by staff to assist me with either relocating our room or rekeying the keys. I had to reach out and at least get the key changed. Not even one apology. Next day, they apologized after I brought it up to who it appeared to be a manager and stated they will investigate. But that was it. I then get an email stating they will give me some free points for the “inconvenience”. This was not just an inconvenience. This is a major safety issue. What if I indeed was alone in the room with my children? What are the odds that they had key to my room specifically, a female with 2 kids.
We stayed here for 4 nights and had A great experience. It is aircondition in the rooms. There is A little pool outside with chairs and sunbeds. There is free parking outside the Hotel and We had A nice american breakfast. The Hotel Also have A little fitness-room. We had good experience with the staff.
Very convenient location right off the highway, check in was smooth and easy, staff are very friendly, rooms are super clean and very comfortable, would definitely stay at this property again
4/19/24 i arrived at 8:35 pm. The hotel had a strong bad odor like a strong cleaning agent all throughout the hotel and room. The front desk staff was friendly. The room was clean and lamp shade was bent. There were no USB outlets for phone. Bathroom-I opened a towel and got bit by a little black bug. Breakfast-fake scrambled eggs, bagels, pastries, sausages, waffles, and fresh fruit were only bananas. The area was very busy. The pool and hot tub were out of service. Not good after driving 10 hours. I will not be staying there again.
Nice hotel. King room very clean, bed comfortable, ask for a room away from the highway as could hear the traffic at night, breakfast ok, used laundry facilities. Friendly staff. Front desk lady said she was in training and she's the only one who knew how the current program worked. The stay 2 nights get 1 free. Amd we've stayed at 3 Best Westerns over the last week. She was great! Overall would recommend.
We were very impressed. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and attractive. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. There was fresh coffee available 24 hours a day. The breakfast was very substantial, with waffles, sausage, yogurt scrambled eggs, pastries, etc. We will stay here again when we are in the area.
Location is convenient, clean and the staff is AMAZING! Hotel is tucked away, but still very convenient to nearby shopping & restaurants. The gym & continental breakfast are great! Pete & staff never disappoints! Very friendly and responsive. MAHALO for all that you do!
Check in was great. Very friendly and courteous staff. Pool was outdoor so only useable in summer. Hot tub was out of order. Room looked nice and clean. Left for dinner and when we returned the door was stuck. Had to unlock it then wiggle the handle up and down until it opened. At bedtime, went to wall heat/ac unit to turn heat down. Digital readout was missing several of the pieces of the number to tell the temp. Had to guess and then keep lowering it during the night. Not the BW Plus hotel standards at this one.
We stayed here when our car broke down traveling out of state. Dee really helped us out and made our bad travel experience a better one. She's an asset to BW making guests feel welcomed and appreciated. Our room was clean. Breakfast was adequate and coffee was hot and fresh.
We had just finished packing up an entire house. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice and helpful. The room was great, the business center to print boarding passes and breakfast was very pleasant. The entire staff was so nice and personable.
The Beat Western on Twin View in Redding, California was exceptional as always. I love the RV parking area for my boat. It is easy to access and is relatively secure. I have never had a problem with vehicle break in or theft at this location.
Awful night. Noisy trucks from I5. Alarm going off in unoccupied adjoining room. Broken shade on window. Needs new bed. Generally terribly worn out room. Pluses were nice staff, clean bedding and towels. Noisy room fridge with sink in room configuration. Worse problem was the road traffic waking us up all night. I booked on line so didn't realize location was so horrible. Generally no sound proofing... corridor noise, adjoining rooms, etc. Avoid this property.
Very nice friendly competent statt, however the neighborhood isn't great. Our car was broken into, and management has not responded to my request for any cctv coverage. There were people camped in cars in the parking lot. They need better police coverage.
This place is a dump. Our room smelled like pet urine. Their solution was to hand us a bottle of Febreeze. The bed was comfortable. The shower head was moldy. For $279 I expected a lot more. If we weren't so tired and in the middle of nowhere, we would have moved hotels.
Had a great stay at BW in Redding. The staff was helpful and friendly. Everyone we saw greeted us and answered any questions we had. The room was clean and well provisioned. The first room we were given smelled of smoke even though it's a non-smoking hotel, but they quickly re-roomed us to one that smelled much better. Breakfast is included in the price. There was hot and cold food, a coffee/latte/mocha machine and juice. Hot food was hot and fresh. It was easy to get to the hotel just off the freeway which we like. Highly recommend this place!
Even though the hotel is located in a bit of an industrial area it is still really nice. The room was a bit smaller than we are use to, especially with our large dog in there. We were on the ground floor and our dog loved being able to look out the window. There are nice grassy areas to walk your pet. The beds were super comfortable! Would definitely stay there again,
We stay here often and always enjoy the breakfast, friendly and attentive staff, quiet quarters, and location away from the busy part of town. For me...breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, a meat (sausage patty twice and bacon was offered one day), OJ, Coffee, Cheerios, multigrain toast, banana or apple. A waffle maker was available as was apple juice and yogurt. All were well prepared. There is night attendant that gets breakfast going and a lady who keeps things in order. The staff...all pleasant and accommodating. Sleep experience very good. Room was very clean. I can't say enough good about this hotel. The price and experience makes this our go-to place in Redding.
Like others here, I'm baffled at how Best Western adds "Plus" to some of its hotels, seemingly randomly. Their website says that its Plus hotels have nicer exterior, common areas, and sometimes newer rooms. Well this hotel was adequate in most regards, but the only item I can bear witness to is maybe somewhat newer rooms, but then other parts of this property are older and a bit worn, common area carpets, etc. We bought our two nights on Hotwire, not knowing which hotel we'd get, but figured it was probably the Twin View, which is what we got. First the pluses: 1. Check in was fairly fast, and my request for a "quiet" king facing away from I-5, was honored. The room was pretty quiet, day and night. On Monday morning at 7am we were jarred at the roar of a Harley going by on Caterpillar, but that's a high bar for soundproofing for sure. Not much freeway noise at all, so we'll call that good. 2. The room was quite adequate, well appointed with microwave and medium dorm size fridge. Everything was clean and complete. Room AC was average, and not unusually noisy; it worked fine - another plus these days. 3. The bed was clean and comfortable, and everything in the room worked okay; no maintenance issues there. Pillows a bit small but decent. The bathroom is split, so only the toilet and tub shower are separated in a small space behind the door. No night light, but we could barely see with the tiny lights on the clock, etc., so no huge deal there. Room 205 overlooked the parking lot, as most rooms do. 4. The included breakfast is standard fare, but credit given for much better than average hot coffee in good supply (but guest load was light). Decent not great scrambled eggs; very good thin crispy bacon solid; selection of baked goods, like bread, bagels, a mini-bear claw, by the toaster. There was the usual waffle machine, with 4 mini-waffles on the rig, a nice variation on a theme, with good batter and basic toppings. I give a better than average rating for cleanliness and order. They actually staffed the breakfast room with a helpful if hovering staffer that kept everything picked up and moving. Wish I had Spanish language skills, but we could communicate around the margins. That and a great supply of strawberry jam packets and some fruits and fresh milk and mini-yogurts, made for a successful start to our day. 5. The common areas are just okay, and just two years ago I would expect to pay well under $100/night for a room, but in a post-Covid hyperinflation world, not gonna happen. So this middling BW hotel covered the bases. It's clean, bed good, and had no homeless around our two days/nights, like so many other Redding hotels these days, unfortunately. So sad for Redding, its' people, and those of so many other California cities: The street-drug culture has exploded in the last 2-3 years with failing policies. We are attracting drug addicts from all around the Country. CA has 12% of the U.S. population; 50% of the "homeless".
A Great property staffed by professional, proficient and personable folks. Conveniently located just off I-5 with ready access to the Best, Best Western we stayed in on this 2000-mile road trip city. Great rates, Great rooms, overall a steal of a property.
I stay here every time I come to Redding because of the location, away from the mess on Hilltop and the congestion of downtown. It is decently maintained and the bed was comfortable. Try to avoid the rooms on the side facing the freeway unless you don't mine trucks with engine brakes at 6 AM. I would also comment the facility brands itself as a Best Western Plus but the amenities really don't distinguish it that much from an ordinary Best Western. On the last stay there were a few maintenance issues that didn't get resolved. I was working on a federal government contract and they honored the government rate with no hassle, which was nice, the room was adequate though nothing exceptional.
Very friendly staff, rooms were very clean and updated. Seems like there was a add on to the original hotel because we had to go down a very angular hallway to the elevators that were hard to find. Breakfast had a large assortment.
Always a pleasure to stay in this well maintained and managed hotel. Never disappointed and will continure to chose this home. Dee is a marvelous and helpful manager. All the team works well together to give us an unmatched stay.
Well I guess I put the review in the wrong spot but the Best Western North Redding is a good place to stay so I'll try it out if you get a chance I don't know if I can write 200 words but I hope I get there soon have a good day have a good trip
After a long time away from home seeing my family in Oregon, it was time to head home to the central coast. Trying to find a good window of time to get back because of an injury I had and all the storms hitting California, I found a good time to drive back. I was nervous driving the rain and the the snow through the mountains. After 7 hours of driving I finally made it to Redding and thought I'd better stop for the night. I saw both Comfort Inn and Best Western, there was no decision to make, I drove right to the Best Western. I've always been treated well at all Best Westerns, so I I knew what kind of treatment I would receive. This location did not disappoint, the front desk person was very helpful and friendly. She asked me if I was a member and I said yes. She found me quickly, gave me a great rate and a very nice room on the first floor close to the front door band front desk. She also gave me directions to a great restaurant close by. The next morning the gal taking care of breakfast was also very helpful and friendly. Finally checking out was very easy and the gal at the front desk was also very friendly and helpful. She was a trainee but she was great. Thanks to all there that made my stay in Redding at this nice, clean and friendly experience.
I've stayed here maybe 20 times since 2010. Easy access to I-5 and Redding. Very nice, quiet facility with helpful, friendly staff. It is my go-to layover destination when traveling from Seattle to Phoenix.
My family stayed one night. The staff were remarkably friendly and courteous. It felt like our stay was very personalized. It almost felt like we were at a bed and breakfast. The staff at the front desk, the housekeepers, the women running the breakfast, Everyone was so nice! The room was a little dated and definitely needed some renovation. But was very clean. Really hard to complain about anything with such nice people working there.
The room was filthy. This hotel has not been upgraded in a long time. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls in both the sleeping area and in the restroom. There were holes all over the walls from where they've previously removed items that were attached to the walls, but did not patch them up. The door jamb around the door of the bathroom was so dirty; you can tell it hadn't been cleaned for a long time. The carpet was smelly and there were hairs on the bed when I took off the comforter. I did not use any of the pillows or blankets as I know they don't wash them often. The bathroom shower was the worst of it all. The handle that turns on the shower and controls the temperature literally came out of the wall when turned on. The whole unit was not attached. Overall, the room did not smell or look clean. I would not stay here again and I would not recommend it to anyone else. Drive down the road and stay at the Americana!
They are always going above and beyond the needs, it's a great location near Redding and Shasta. They greet you with a smile and jokes and laughs. They make sure your stay is well rested and make you feel like family
The location of this BW is away from downtown Redding and does require driving to restaurants and shopping. Easy access to I-5. Rooms are lean and comfortable. Excellent WiFi. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good variety of options with the hot breakfast. Free, lighted parking.
My wife and I had an overnight in Redding and found this BW to be a good value stop. The property was clean, the staff was very friendly, and the hostess in the restaurant for the included breakfast was as nice and helpful as could be. Will definitely stay there again sometime.
This was a great place to stop on a road trip from Seattle to Los Angeles. After 10 hours of driving, we checked in in a flash and found our comfortable and super clean room. We did not use any of the available amenities (pool, exercise), but we saw those areas in passing and they looked inviting. There was a good ice machine that we did use. Breakfast next morning was complete, well stocked with a number of options, and well organized, and there was staff available to help if we needed it. It seemed that a number of local people were coming in for breakfast before work, which is a compliment to its appeal. Parking is abundant and the hotel is directly off I-5, so we were on the road quickly the following morning. After leaving, we booked another night for the trip back. All the staff were welcoming and helpful at all times.
Clean, courteous, efficient, allowed pets (with notice and a fee). It was just what the doctor ordered for a traveling couple with a life-long family small parrot pet. Thoroughly enjoyable and recommended for others. We will stay at this facility on our next trip north.
The staff is always very helpful and friendly. They always go above their duties to make you feel at home. Their breakfast is delicious, rooms are clean and beds are comfy. I had issues with a tv once and they handled it within minutes and they always are there to help you with questions and always try to make your day better.
The staff were amazing, too. My stay was enjoyable and the breakfast spread was fantastic! I only reserved a star due to the fact that the location is on the outskirts of town, with nothing in walking distance--coffee shop or even a convenience store.
This place is average. Staff could have been more welcoming and appreciative of guests' choices. This reviewere had the opportunity to compare several hotels during the same period and this was the least homey.
While on our way back home, I chose to stop at the Best Western Plus Twin View Inn. I had my parents with me and we needed to make sure they had the accommodations necessary to be comfortable due to medical conditions. We were greeted by a friendly and welcoming Front Desk Clerk. She made sure we had the appropriate room, and checked with us to make sure everything was in the room and were happy. BRAVO
A PET-FRIENDLY HOTEL Be aware that this is a 'pet-friendly' hotel and your room could smell like it. When we first walked into our room, it didn't smell fresh, but not as bad as when we turned the A/C on and returned after dinner, and it absolutely STANK of urine. I'm assuming this is from the fact dogs had been in the room. (The hotel allows 2 dogs per room up to an 80 lb weight limit, plus other small pets like cats and birds on discretion). We stuck it out as we'd already settled in, it was late and we were only there one night, prior to visiting Lassen Nat'l Park. I did complain the next morning, but they only apologized and offered no compensation. DATED, NEEDS RENOVATION The hotel looks decent from the outside, but inside it's an older, dated hotel with confusing hallways, worn hallway carpet, a tiny pool, small gym and tattooed staff with an attitude. Really not worth the $141 we paid. We stay at Best Westerns frequently, but I'm increasingly finding they vary a lot in quality. BASIC BREAKFAST INCLUDED The complimentary breakfast offered the typical hotel buffet-style breakfast with hot and cold cereal, eggs, sugary yogurts, waffles, bread items, coffee, tea and juice. Healthier items would be appreciated. ROOM FEATURES The room was fairly quiet and featured an iron/ironing board, coffee machine, mini toiletries, microwave and mini-fridge. Outdoor parking was free. EASY TO MISS ENTRANCE Entering the hotel parking lot is easy to miss -- we drove by and had to turn around and go back to it. I would not recommend this hotel. If you found this review useful, please click the thank button.
Worst sofa bed we have ever used in all the years of traveling. Very little sleep as a result. Very much pain in the morning. Complained and was told that they would give us a discount of some sort, but that never happened.
Super clean pet friendly hotel. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. Waffles, sausage, eggs, etc… We are moving my mom to Washington and our moving truck broke down. They allowed us a later check out while our truck was being re-loaded.
If you are ever in the Redding CA area and looking for a great place to stay, I highly recommend the Best Western Twin View Inn. The staff and management are excellent. They TRULY take care of their guests. Accommodations are great, as are the amenities. Have a request? Just ask any of the staff. They will go out of their way to help. Cannot say enough about this hotel. Try it!
We have stayed in a lot of places and this Best Western is just another hotel that has seen better days. The interior is shabby looking. A maze of hallways. The breakfast area is so tiny and I am sorry if it says no dogs allowed then no dogs. We watched the breakfast host stand next to a lady with her “none service dog chatting up a storm while the dog was eating off a breakfast plate from the bar food. Check in and out was the best part of this stay as the staff was friendly at the counter. The pillows were so bad. They wouldn't be accepted at a goodwill. The housekeeper cleaning a room must have had her daughter with her as I saw feet and legs on the bed while she was cleaning. It was a school holiday but this person was well past elementary age to be laying on either a dirty used bed or a freshly changed bed.
Super friendly desk clerks and staff. Clean rooms and satisfactory breakfast. Good stop when travelying on highway 5. AC was a bit too powerful but okay. No pro lens while we were there. Convent to restair ants.
Working out of town I was looking for a clean quiet place to stay while in Redding, CA. The Best Western Twin View Inn & Suites more than met that expectation. The staff anticipated my needs very well and took very good care of whatever I needed. For me, this is the best bed in town.
The weekly stay was just like home! In town for 10 days and truly enjoyed the wonderful experience here. As soon as I walked in, I was cheerfully greeted by Dee with a cheerful and helpful smile. Because I arrived a bit early, she immediately helped me noticing how exhausted the long trip to arrive to a perfectly clean and comfortable room. My king bed was very comfortable and I truly enjoyed the rest! The breakfast was fully stocked with a wide variety of food choices. The tables and floors were kept clean too. I highly recommend this newer, immaculate hotel! It definitely lives up to the PLUS in Best Western!
Stayed here for one night with family of 5. We stayed in a suite and found it to be perfect for our family. Lots of space and kids had their own beds. Littlest uses a travel bed and it fit in our adult room with some rearranging. Bathroom is a Jack and Jill style with doors from each bedroom space. Bonus is there was a sink in the bathroom and outside it. Quite convenient for us. The complaints we had were the TV for the kids was in the living area and not viewable from the queen beds and breakfast wasn't quite up to our expectations, but this isn't to say it was bad, the pool was a bit small and dirty, and hit tub had been shut down by health department. If not using those then it wouldn't have been as disappointing. The location wasn't great. The area is fairly deserted oddly and there are other hotels closer to restaurants and things. Not a bad hotel as it served our stopover purpose, but we'd look elsewhere if in town again.
All of our needs were met. It was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The staff was courteous and friendly. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The pricing was competitive with the area hotels. Finally, the water was hot and wonderful.
Service at the front desk and in the breakfast room was excellent. I requested, in advance, and was granted a room on the second floor. I could see care was taken in cleaning our room, and the breakfast room attendant was truly attentive. The cost was competitive, and better than the more centrally located BW in the area. Nearby dining options are non-existent, but that was fine since we ventured into Redding daily. Only minus: DW was unable to find a comfortable position in bed and had a restless night. This had to do with the non-standard, throw sized, narrow width of the pillows. And, this was one of the few times we failed to bring our favorite pillows. I slept fine. Everything we used was in fine working order though we used few amenities. The breakfast was very tasty and thankfully I couldn't detect mayonnaise in the scrambled egg. The breakfast sausage was good quality IMO. Coffee was hot, butter was cold. Good experience.
I was welcomed, by a very courteous staff that efficiently helped us choose rooms. It Had very family friendly atmosphere. I will very likely be returning in August again. As always Best Western came through with a great experience!
I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the mattress was in my room. I think this is one of the most comfortable beds that I've ever slept in a hotel. Also, the breakfast area was very clean and it offered a variety of items (juices, coffee, do-it-yourself waffles, toast, bagels, eggs, sausage patties, and yogurt. There was also a lady in the breakfast area that cleaned the tables and asking us if we needed anything. She has a nice smile and was very attentive to all the guests. This Best Western is also right off the freeway.
The room was filthy. They are not cleaning the furniture. Bed had springs sticking out of mattress. So much for a good night's sleep. They are charging way to much for the room. Very disappointed with the room. Also there is nothing close by to eat.
My wife, 2 year old Daughter, and I stayed 1 night to look at a property that we are thinking of purchasing and needed a place to rest our heads before exploring the area. We were greeted warmly by the Lady at the Front Desk. Our initial impressions from the area of town where the hotel is located were a little disapointing. However with that said, the service from their team made up for short commings in the location. The Lady who prepared our breakfast was amazing and our daughter just loved her. She took such pride and care in her work and it really translated into a memorable experience for us. Would highly recommend a stay here to anyone that is looking for a pleasant, clean, and friendly experience. Only the constraint of the location is the lack of services in walking distance and the rugged feel of the general area.
We always stay here overnight on our way to Oregon and back to California. Great location easy check in and check out. Room is spotless clean, breakfast is a plus, the bed needs a little tlc. Awesome staffing from Emily, Peter and Dee....
We were in town for a race at Shasta Chappie OHV. BW had the best price. It's not a fancy hotel but it was very comfortable and the staff were exceptional! The breakfast area was super clean and they provided plenty of good choices. Most importantly, the beds were super comfortable. The hotel was completely full yet it was very quiet. I've always had great experiences at every Best Western!
Booked by phone. All went well. Easy. Said we'd be late. About 30 min before we got there, got a call to see if we were ok and still coming! Check in very pleasant. Room clean. Very comfortable King bed. Good shower. Food delivery close-by. Breakfast very nice. Lots of choices. We've been here before and will go back again. Pet friendly. Essential.
Was very pleasant. Room smelled nice and was clean and updated. Comfortable bed (not too hard like other hotels in the area) and fluffy pillows. Breakfast was good and the front desk staff were warm and friendly. The location is not around stores or shopping but it is just off the 101 so convenient for travel. The parking lot is lit. I do recommend bringing safety pins or clips to keep the curtains all the way shut though, they gap about a centimeter and let the light in.
We always check for a BW facility near where are traveling to for however long we plan to stay. Over the many years of over the road trips we have taken, BW has always lived up to their high standard of comfort, cleanliness, friendly, profession service.
Best Western in general has been declining at least here in the Pacific MW. Their reservation system is 1970's. The properties are degrading. Ownership of the properties are doing everything to squeeze every last penny from the customers by cheating-out on every aspect of service. I'm probably moving away from Best Western for a more quality-minded brand.
The first room we received hadn't been clean at all. We asked for a new room which seemed better but had a strange smell. The internet was pretty slow. Overall missed the mark. I wish we spent a little more money to get a better and cleaner place.
it was ok. homeless guy in parking lot yelled at us. scared my wife. pissed me off, management kinda shrugged it off. seems like it was different motel but remodeled won't stay there again, room was ok , it was clean. no food close gotta travel to downtown Redding for food
The lack of sound proofing affected the quality of sleep. With as new of a building as this is I expected better. The breakfast offered was as expected. The staff that I talked to were all very friendly and helpful.
Smelled like dog. If you have dogs it's probably ok but if not, ask to see if they have rooms where dogs haven't stayed in. The bed was comfy but I felt like I was going to fall out if too close to the edge. Filthy carpet and chair.
The location of Best Western Twin View is perfect....just off the freeway and very quiet. The room was nice and clean, breakfast was great. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here....we did twice last month! Best part is the are DOG friendly.
It was a very friendly hotel, staff was great, location was easy access to major highways, cleanliness was a plus, the breakfast is great to get your day started, tv watching options we're enjoying, easy parking as well
A friend came to visit and stayed a few days at the Twin View Best Western Plus. The room was nice, clean and comfortable and the amenities were decent. Overall, the hotel and the room met or exceeded expectations. I will definitely book rooms at the hotel again.
Room was clean and well maintained. My requested accomodations for traveling with dogs cheerfully accepted. Walking area around hotel was well lit. Very happy with areas to potty dogs, low cut grass made it easy to clean up after them.
In an area with a lot of over the road trucking, this is a nicer hotel. Very clean with appropriate COVID protocols to keep travelers safe. Good sized rooms, comfortable beds/bedding, and good lighting at the bathroom vanity. Friendly staff. Easy on/off of the I-5. Note: this is located a few exits away from downtown Redding, so you will have to drive for dinner and shopping. A cardlock fuel depot, hardware store, Shell gas station, and Tractor Supply are close by.
A very clean friendly place to stay the rooms were very clean and pretty big. It was easy to get on and off the freeway, and the breakfast was delicious too. Overall we will stay again next time we travel thru.
The rooms are filthy. Black mold on the wallpaper in the bathroom. Tub that doesn't drain at all. Stained curtains. Dirty air unit, which is especially dangerous during covid times. I cleaned the filter myself & disinfected everything. Have no idea how this is a BW plus property. If I wasn't so tired i would have left
One of the best Best Westerns. Very friendly staff, always welcome us as Diamond Select members! Very easy on and off the 5! Clean rooms-get a lot for the money. Safe location! Have stayed here many times and will again! Highly recommended!
PROS: Comfortable pillows, easy check in & check out. Good breakfast with ample options. Employees friendly & helpful. Easy on & off I5. CONS: Rooms & hallways are dated & tired. Seemed clean enough. Paint coming off moldings, shower head not attached very well, bed very firm. Door handle into room was a bit finicky. I will pay the extra $30.00 & stay else where next time.
Friendly staff clean rooms, easy access from I5. My only issue is that the doors shut loudly all around us which bothered our two small dogs and no clearly marked pet area outside. Will definitely stay here again
Traveled in early Nov 2021. Best Western Twin View STAFF were friendly. ARRIVAL: late check-in was no problem. I directly called location that morning for pet-friendly double-room reservation for family travel. FREE PARKING: I'd consider most spaces compact and too few of them. Lot lighting adequate. Park at entrance to unload & available luggage carts are great! DINING: Breakfast 730-930am buffet serve yourself; coffee/juice/milk/hot choc, (hot food) scrambled eggs & sausage patties, instant oatmeal; (cold food-none individually packaged) cereal, fruit flavor muffins, bread for toast, pastries, plain bagels; (single servings) butter, jelly, cream cheese, yogurt. Also almond milk that you can help yourself to from a carton. Dairy-free / gluten-free options very limited. Eat before 830am even in off-season or hot food and coffee is mostly gone. Disposable coffee cups small and no to-go lids. Dining room clean and functional. ROOM: hotel indoor premises are non-smoking but our room reeked of cigarette smoke in bathroom area. Important parts appeared clean, such as mattresses (I checked) & linens, table/counters, sink/toilet/tub, fridge/microwave. Firm bed only ok comfort for one-night. Hard flooring no carpet, which I prefer. Wallpaper was dusty stained and cobwebs in some areas (yuck factor). Blackout curtains too small to block all light outside, but OK. Refrigerator plenty cold including small freezer cubby we used for ice-chest packs. Also 3 pillows each queen bed, hair dryer, 2 each bath towels/hand towels/washcloths, face/nose tissues, 1 small bar soap, 1 tiny bottle each of shower gel/shampoo/conditioner, & mini coffee maker with individual packets. INTERNET: no problem connecting to free wi-fi which was stable and fast enough for us. PETS: we had small dog but saw large breed guests also; no pet amenities offered except some grassy strips from 2 to 10 feet wide next to street (no designated or fenced potty area but close to hotel exit doors). NOISE: we did not notice any bothersome noise from other pets or guests in hotel, however BRING EARPLUGS OR NOISE CANCEL EARBUDS! Windows let in every racket, voices, construction, traffic noise from outside! My first stay here. Probably choose another hotel on next trip due to not very comfortable mattress and outside noise kept me from getting any decent sleep for long drive next day. Other factors & prices are comparable with nearby hotel experiences in the past.
Decent place to stay when traveling. Would stay again in the future. Kind staff. Very clean. Safe. Breakfast included which is nice.. Why is there a 200 character minimum to type a review here though?
This our second time at this Best Western. It is pet friendly and has a grassy area to walk our dog. Employees are friendly and courteous, the breakfast was wonderful and our room was spotless. We love the easy on/off access from the freeway.
This was a very convenient location when needing to go to Shasta Lake area. Motel was clean and upkeep is good. Pool and Hot tub close for maintenance? Pandemic is more like the reason. No many choice for eating close by but you have options several miles away. Over nice place to stay to north side.
I was allowed a night at this hotel during a public safety power shutdown. I was a bit scattered because of it being late in the day and I was expecting to be home with a battery backup instead of leaving home. I chose to stay in the hotel because I thought that would be easier. I checked in. I drove home to pick up clothes and toiletries. I was informed the public safety power shutdown was called off as I was on my way back to my room. I didn't know what was going to happen. I walked up to the staff person and was greeted warmly again and told I could stay the night. Oh good. I had good tv, I popped some popcorn and I went to sleep nice and warm. I woke up rested and took a nice warm long shower. I checked out and was greeted warmly again by two staff members. Where do they find these friendly people? I decided to take a little snack with me from the breakfast bar. When I was shown the scrambled eggs and sausage I sat down and ate a plateful of that with a danish and a banana. I was pleased with the quality of the food and the friendliness of the cafe staff member. I plan to return in the future for the quiet sleep, the breakfast and a dose of friendly welcomeness.
There are no Restaurants or other amenities within walking distance of this hotel. It is also right next to I-5. They called Best Western plus but I think it is definitely not a plus I'm just a regular Best Western I feel like the hotel is not open up kept to the best western plus standard I stay at a lot of Best Western's throughout the year.
As a frequent visitor , I can tell you the staff is absolutely amazing! Unique and authentic! Funny, loving and caring! Dills Deli is just around the corner. Nothing fancy , If you want a 4 star you're in the wrong place ) This hotel is located north of town. about 3 miles from downtowns(NO HOMELESS HANGING OUT HERE)The rooms are comfortable the breakfast is satisfying and the service is exceptional! Overworked and underpaid but still devoted to their customers! They treat me like family !Thank you for all you do! You rock!
Beautiful and comfortable room and bed. My husband and I travel to California several times a year often passing by this Best Western Plus Twin View Inn & Suites motel, we tend to stay at Best Western Plus when we can, that being said we had never stayed at this particular one because the opportunity had never presented its self, we were not surprised when we stayed at this one. So as I read more of the questions in this review like: did this motel follow Green practices?, was proof of vaccination required?, is on sited COVID testing available?. It angers me that those questions are even on this review. WHO CARES IF THIS PLACE IS GREEN OR IF PROOF OF VACCINATION IS REQUIRED OR IF THERE'S COVID TESTINS ON SITE. GOOD LORD, MY FREEDOM IS NOT NEGOTIONAL. THESE QUESTIONS SHOULDN'T EVEN BE ON THE REVIEW. So because of these questions on this review I WILL PROBABLY NEVER STAY AT THIS MOTEL AGAIN. I AM SICK AND TIRED OF BEING PUSHED AND SHOVED AROUND BY THE GOVERNMENT AND YES IT IS THE GOVERNMENT DOING THIS - IT IS NOT THE BUSINESS.
All Best Western Plus locations was exactly what I expected taking the coastal highway through California, Oregon, and in Washington state. Nothing but great service and great rooms. Always satisfied with Best Western Plus Hotels. Thank you.
We booked this hotel on our way back from Santa Barbara - when you call the number listed you are taken to a reservationstays.com and the person books your room. The representative told us there was a better rate but she needed to book the one she saw and we could get a refund for the difference at the counter. At checkin the desk person told us that the room was prepaid and there was nothing she could do. She was very unhelpful and was not willing to explore any options to help me. We booked the room for 189, paid 210 and was promised 159. This is a VERY frustrating situation. Then when we got to our room, the room was falling apart with wall paper cut and falling off the wall. The room seemed dingy and a bit stale. The breakfast was ok - but this was not worth the money I paid.
The most nice place to go in whenever we had vacation or business their breakfast is very good and convenient when we travel and don't have a lot of time to looking for places to eat. I am happy and plis
The pool was green with algae, the shower head had a red slimey mold growing on it and there were spots of mold around the shower. Definitely not worth the price I paid. I expect more from a "plus" hotel. Staff was kind, breakfast seemed to have a lot of options, the bed was clean and comfortable.
Perfectly fine motel at north end of town with attributes expected of BW Plus properties: clean, well appointed with efficient and friendly service. Managed an ok complimentary breakfast even with COVID restrictions.
We had a wonderful stay at Twin View. We called with a special request to place us in a room close to an exit to easily access for smoking and they graciously accommodated us. Peter Patel was so friendly and helpful upon arrival and departure. The location is quiet and beautiful with lots of indigenous trees and plants. Very close to freeway access.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and seemed like their jobs. They had a nice selection of breakfast that you can either take to your room or to go. The room was nice and clean, the bed was a little worn down and not as comfortable.
This had to have been at least our 6th stay at this hotel. It just so happens to be our halfway spot while making some of our trips. Just like always this place did not disappoint. The price is amazing for what you get. The hotel is well kept, the staff is always friendly and the rooms are clean and everything is in good working order. This one ranks up there in my book of highly recommend to friends and family. But please don't go into this thinking it's going to be the Hilton or you'll likely be disappointed. On that note this BW has earned its “Plus” rating.
We've stayed at a number of Best Western and this takes the cake. Clean, quiet, and comfortable - just what we were looking for. The checkin staff was the gem of the show - extremely friendly and helpful. He seemed to know our future plans from our past places we visited on this trip. Mr. Patel gave detailed information and offered additional sights to see.
I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff were all so friendly, helpful & professional. They made the best of everything under COVID conditions. The lady who served breakfast went out of her way to accommodate our vegetarian needs. The room was very clean & they made a point of telling us to call if anything, such as extra towels, was needed. We felt like we were treated like family! I like the Best Western Plus brand & this one really lived up to its name! The location was convenient to Lassen National Park which was our destination.
This hotel went above and beyond for us. There conference room wasn't being used so Peter let us lock our bikes in it. Everyone of the staff members, from reception to breakfast help, we're professional, helpful, and friendly. They recommended a nearby Deli which was had fabulous food
This hotel is located right off the freeway easy to find. We stopped and didn't have any reservations but they were able to get us into a room quick and easy. The staff were very friendly and room was clean and bed was comfy, we have stopped at this location multiple times and will be again on our next trip, we also had our little dog and they are pet friendly.
The staff is great at this location and the price is more than fair for the accommodations. The gym is clean and has a nice selection of machines. This is a little older of a hotel but the staff has done a great job updating and maintaining the premises. I will definitely be back.
Our first outing in over a year was hugely successful thanks in some part to our overnight at BWPlus Twin View... Every encounter with staff was cordial and helpful. Our room was clean. I was impressed by the entire staff and functioning of the individual departments. I thought the staff went out of their way to satisfy us. The hotel was quite full yet I felt like we were the only ones on the property. There was very little activity due to lingering threat of The Rona. Temperature controls worked well. Television had a good selection of channels. Noise from our freeway facing room was nonexistent. Breakfast was handled well by the server. I brought my tray down from under the coffee maker in our room. I asked for scrambled eggs, bacon, cutie oranges, and coffee with cream and honey. There were other items like bagels and fruit juices it I wanted them. Two paper plates with the above items fit on my tray, plates overlapping. (Next time I will probably ask for enough for two on one paper plate and divvy it up in the room so as to have room on the tray for fruit juice, etc. in one trip.) The neighborhood is removed from residential and retail establishments. This hotel is on the outskirts of town. It was quiet and I felt secure there. I definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again.
Stayed for one night traveling from Washington to Arizona. Welcomed.by Emily who is very friendly and helpful. The bed was great, good shower and an overall nice room. Breakfast was good and I am thankful for the variety offered.
I initially chose this location because of the glowing reviews on Google, but I wished that I had chosen to look on TripAdvisor as well, because my experience was closer to what you see here. The hotel is dated, and has new mixed with old/disrepair. The grab'n'go breakfast is actually served to you by a real person behind a wall of chairs and tables. It's not warm, even if it should be. The most problematic was the staff coming into my room when I had a problem even though I asked them not to. The problem was that my sheets were stained/dirty from an animal (see photo) and the replacement "sheets" were just a cover and a pad for a queen- our room had a king. I wouldn't stay here again unless they made some significant changes. It's location to the highway is it's only plus! I was asked to delete my original review, however, I've chosen to simply edit it. After writing my initial review/filling out the survey, I waited to hear back from the hotel. After a few days I hadn't received any response (not typical of BW, I've had responses ranging from same day to a few days later) so I contacted Best Western corporate. They contacted the manager of the hotel regarding my review/survey and he called my phone. I was disappointed that I had to take the extra step after the survey to get a response, but I guess that's the risk you take when you choose the course I did. Nevertheless, we were able to come to a resolution regarding the problems we encountered during our stay - don't expect money back, just fyi.
We made this reservation knowing that we all we needed was a warm bed, a roof over our heads and a grab'n'go style breakfast in the am. We received none of these things. Imagine working all day and then traveling over 7 hours. You're exhausted from a long and arduous journey and all you want is to sleep. You walk into you the hotel sideways because the front door is broken. You're not greeted at the front desk because the receptionist is on a personal call. Fortunately, check in is quick and efficient, although your delirious brain keeps screaming sleep and you have to ask the receptionist to repeat herself a couple of times. You get to your room and see trash on the top of the dresser. You're willing overlook all what has happened at this point, because it's almost midnight and your exhausted. You just want sleep- you're willing to sleep with all your clothes on at this point and a mask. Your brain can't compute the thought of trying to find another place to stay. You see the nicely made bed, a king size, calling your name. You pull back the sheets and are ready to slip into peaceful slumber only to discover DOG prints going from one side of the bed to the other. Seriously, the light next to the bed isn't even on. You see these prints in the dim light from over the sink by the door. You must already be dreaming, you think to yourself. You turn on the light next to the bed. Then you turn on the light on the desk, any light you can find. Sure enough, your bed sheets are dirty. Are they stained? You don't know, and frankly you don't care. It's gross and you're awoken just enough to call down for new sheets. You tell the front desk staff to leave them at the front door- you know, due to COVID and all. Except she comes into your room. You show her the stained/dirty sheets. She makes no comment and leaves. You start to dismantle the bed sheets only to discover that you've be given queen sheets for a king bed. You're too tired to think at this moment, so you do the best you can to cover the bed and go to sleep. The next morning you shower quickly. You just want to get out of there. There is very little water pressure and the world's scratchiest towels. While dressing as fast as possible you're praying that breakfast will warm you up. No luck. The grab'n'go breakfast advertised online is a line to a cold, pick and choose breakfast from a white board. The eggs were the texture of sand. Total miss.
Great hotel for a family of 6 on road trip from So Cal back to Seattle. Family Suite was clean, spacious, and great value versus having to split our crew into 2 rooms. Hotel was right off I-5 north of Redding. Parking was well lit with easy access to rooms.
The room was so Gross, dingy. Found a child's sippy cup under the heater. The curtains were falling off and dirty. The carpet was sticky. During covid and increased cleaning requirements this hotel did not make that a priority.
They let me check in early, but my room was gross. Night stand and dresser was falling apart. Wallpaper warped and starting to mold in bathroom. I hope they fired whoever put down the hardwood floor. The hotel must have a bad foundation. The dresser drawers would not stay closed, while my friend in the adjoining room (with opposite floor plan) had a dresser with drawers she had to yank open against gravity.
I am a big fan of Best Western hotels, and am usually surprised to find the rooms are nicer than I imagined. Not the case here. I have never seen a Best Western that is this dirty and ill-maintained. We walked into our room to terrible stench of stale cigarettes and cheap disinfectant, so strong I could smell it through my N95 mask. We had ordered a king bed room, there is only a queen bed. On the bed are two tiny pillows, the size of couch pillows. In the middle of the floor is a hair tie, complete with hair. My wife went to complain to the front desk who did nothing, offered nothing but excuses. Furniture is worn with holes and scuffs, bathroom paint is mismatched and sloppy. I am including pictures of some of the wonderful finishings. If this is the stuff I can see, what can't I see? We were too tired from our day of driving to load up our car and find another hotel that felt sanitary and was pet friendly. I disinfected every possible surface, slept on my own pillow with clothes on, and skipped the shower in the morning. I only wish I could wash this experience from my memory.
So disappointed that the management and staff did not ask customers to wear masks in the building. A father and middle school daughter were just hanging out in the small lobby without masks. The front desk staff said it was up to the manager to address the issue. When I spoke to the manager he said he couldn't do anything.
Nice hotel, very clean and staff was extremely helpful. This location is very quiet yet right off the freeway with easy access. Food is available within a short drive and Uber Eats also delivers there if you prefer. We left my mother's cane, and they contacted us within a few hours of departure to let us know. They're going to ship it for us right away. I would definitely stay here again.
This hotel is a very good stopping point between the Los Angeles area and the Seattle area. It is easily accessed from I-5 but not impacted by noise. The rooms are large and comfortably furnished. The staff here does an excellent job of maintenance and breakfast. They are taking care in COVID-19 times, so they served breakfast items to go but everything tasted freshly cooked, and there is a good variety. The room was clean. They appear to be still leaving rooms vacant for some time between visitors because they said that they were nearly full but the parking lot was not. At our request, the staff took the trouble to locate us in a room where we could see our car. So they were very welcoming and efficient . We will very likely stay there again when traveling that direction.
If stopping for the night, plan on eating before checking in...there are no restaurants within walking distance. The town is not that far, but if you are done driving, then you are done driving. IMHO to pricey for the location.
We'd only recommend this for a one night stay. The bad: X: Bathroom vent is so loud that taking a shower was painful to our ears. X: Bed and pillows are too soft and uncomfortable to sleep on. Feels like sleeping on an ‘air bed' X: Only 2 pillows were provided for 2 people. X: Noisy fan / heater / AC. It's so loud that it's hard to sleep at night with it on. The good: +: Friendly front desk staff. +: Great Breakfast options. Scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, bacon, sausage, fruits, yogurts, pastries. +: Pet-friendly hotel (with fee). +: Clean.
A COVID-19 breakfast with bacon and scrambled eggs served completely contactless! Brava! As always, an excellent bed and a great night's rest. I appreciate the very helpful folks at the front desk who were quick with the extra towels we needed.
The fellow who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. Older hotel that has been updated. There is a train track behind the hotel but with kthe fan on it didn't keep us awake. Very nice lady serving breakfast.
I stayed here on Sunday, October 4th while driving back from Oceanside to Seattle. Since Holiday Inn Express was my first choice but completely full, I settled on Best Western as it was next door and reserved a room on Expedia. The rate was $139, which was fine and the room was clean, no complaints. I had a lot of personal items in my truck, including a mountain bike which was mounted to a rack on the tow hitch. It was locked with a cable and padlock for security and I planned to bring it into the room later after unpacking. I noticed signs up in the parking lot that it was patrolled by security and at least two security cameras; I also noticed one roving security guard around 10pm walking the parking lot while looking at his phone. Unfortunately for me, I never brought my bike in because I fell asleep, and when I came out in the morning it was gone. I asked the front desk if I could review CCTV security footage and she said she would have to notify the management. A few hours later when I checked out, I asked again about the CCTV footage and waited for 5-10 minutes but no manager ever came to see me. I had to leave since I am working remotely and needed to hit the road and left my phone number and asked for someone to call me. Almost a full day later I still have not heard from anyone from hotel management. The bike is insured but the deductible exceeds the value, so that's off the table. No police report filed since I still have not reviewed CCTV footage and the police would have required this. So basically I'm screwed and the hotel management doesnt care.
The hotel in Redding was really nice, the front desk girl Sam was amazing, so helpful. Called to ask questions about how to use points when booking a two night stay, she walked me though it over the phone. Was there when we got there, and was so helpful on things to see and do in the area! Hotel was really nice too. Great room, stayed two nights.
Hubby & I stayed here on our way to Ashland OR for him to hike that section of the PCT. Very welcoming staff & sparkling clean rooms. On the return by myself to pick him up 3+ weeks later I was turned back 9 miles south of Ashland due to a wildfire closing the 5 Frwy. I quickly called and spoke to Samantha who made a reservation for me and reassured me to just drive safely. When I arrived she had reserved the same room for me we had stayed in previously. She knew I was hoping to leave before breakfast was served so said she would arrange for a “grab and go” bag for me. I felt totally safe there and my room was again very clean and quiet. Even being stressed I got a good nights sleep. At 5am I was leaving after confirming the 5 was open, Peter was so kind and handed me my “breakfast bag” all ready to go. This will be our stop any time we travel to Redding. The entire staff is wonderful and we are truly grateful, thank you!!
Making the choice to travel during COVID was a tough one, and I was so reassured that this hotel was taking protocols seriously. All the staff were masked, hand sanitizer was available and the room was very clean. We felt very safe staying there even with the pandemic happening.
live locally, it was 100°-110° during my 5-6 day stay.. my HVAC unit broke at the house.. staff was very professional friendly informative and helpful.. always greeted me with a smile and a good morning.. spent the nite at a motel six the nite b4 across the freeway and didn't even bring my bag inside, gross..7:30 in the morning went straight to best western across the freeway and stayed with happiness.. the best on the west
This Best Western was a convenient option for us while we were on the road with our dog. It's close to the freeway in sort of an industrial area. Our room was very basic but had everything we needed. We appreciated that it was close to an outside door so it was easier to take our dog out when needed. They are offering a limited breakfast during the virus situation and a staff member is there to get everything for you so you can eat in your room.
This was an awesome hotel. Perfectly clean. Awesome pool. I give it. 10.. pet friendly as well. Good location when traveling the 5 frwy. Good food options. Grounds were very nice. Pet park area for dogs.
The venue was easy to find and a very quiet room. It had a microwave and refrigerator. Close to a restaurant where we ate breakfast for free. The front desk staff was friendly and answered all questions.
My wife and I stayed here overnight during a business trip. Staff was friendly and professional. The location was quiet even though it was right next to the interstate. The room, however, felt like a property that had been poorly remodeled and was falling apart. The room was on the small side. The bathroom door was falling apart at the bottom. Carpet pulling up. Paint in places it shouldn't be. It just felt tired and in need of maintenance. The location was in a more industrial neighborhood and away from amenities like restaurants and shopping. Overall, we feel this location should be advertised as a regular Best Western as it does not match the standards of other Best Western Plus locations we have stayed at.
Great location right off the 5 freeway, north of Redding. Staff was friendly and professional and the room was clean and well appointed. The DirecTV did not work (kept cutting out ever 30 seconds) which was very annoying. The pool was closed and the hot breakfast was not offered at all, supposedly due to COVID, although there was a pre-packaged breakfast available that had to be handed out by staff. If the breakfast had to be staffed anyway, why could there not be a hot offering? The breakfast is one of the main reasons we choose Best Western so that was disappointing. Otherwise, despite the inconveniences, this was a very nice property and we would stay again, perhaps after calling first to check on amenities.
I've always been told to stay at Best Western hotels when traveling and now I see why. I was traveling from S. California to Oregon and wanted a place to stay overnight. I arrived to friendly staff and a quick check-in. The room was spotless and so comfortable that I wish I could have stayed for a week or more. Definitely recommended for any travelers who are looking for a quality place to stay.
Traveling back from work training attendance and had another 10 hours of driving and saw BW and another hotel off the highway so I pulled in and checked their rates. BW was almost 30 less if I chose the last minute special online which I did. I came in to the front desk and the girl was very busy but she was very professional, gracious and very helpful to find a QUIET room was my priority and a local defi that serves BBQ. The room was clean and Quiet. The internet worked very well. The TV Remote was a little challenging - there was laminated instruction card so that was my first sign it was going to be a little difficult but I was able to get it to work on regular tv that evening however the next morning it would only work on the par per view. I didn't bother the front desk as I only had a short time. The room had a nice small clean refrigerator that I was able to store half my BBQ sandwich in which was great and also had a small coffee maker with the cream and sugar packets. I missed breakfast but the dining room looked nice and I saw a fitness room that I avoided. They had a pool also. The check out went well, again the girl was busy but was not stressed and was friendly. I did the late checkout at noon. Great stay and recommend to others and would stay again.
Great location right off I-5. Next door the Cattleman's restaurant. Great place for steak! Quite a large hotel. Ask for a room on the east side. The rear of the hotel sets up against I-5. A little noisy.
Clean site, plenty of parking, great staff at check in/check out, fresh baked cookies in lobby and excellent complimentary breakfast selection! I arrived and the staff was offering local restaurant recommendation to other people which I later heard were very good! Keep up the good work!
It is always a pleasure to return to this hotel when we are in town. We always know we will be treated great and will be comfortable and taken care of. We are recognized by your staff and this hotel feels like family.
The hotel itself isn't terrible, but it sits in the middle of nowhere, and there are zero options for dining within walking distance. There is another Best Western closer to town that we stayed at the following night.
Recently traveling north was pretty much halted due to freezing road conditions and high winds... I'm not a big fan of putting chains on in the cold, dark and rain. So I backtracked a few miles, pulled in and hoped they had a room. Frankly a couch would have been just fine as well. I was greeted with a warm smile, a room, a map for and suggested places to eat in Redding. Check out was a breeze the next morning. If the need every arises again I'll surely keep this hotel in mind.
We stayed her back in 2012 and it seemed like a great place then. To me now it seems to show the wear of a few years. The interior seemed like a maze of halls and doorways and rooms. Thank goodness for directional signs! The breakfast was ok the server was very friendly and making sure things were well tended to. It just seemed to lack some variety to me however. Check -in and out were smooth and we were blessed with an additional hours without charge which we greatly appreciated. We didn't spend much time in our room but it was nice to have two side chars so we were not all seated on the bed. Our bathroom wall paper had been stain with some cleaner in the past and I wondered how bad it would be to re-wallpaper that one room even if it was a different wallpaper pattern just so it looked a bit better. Parking was tight up from with poor parking skills of other and large trailers taking up 5-6 spots but there was ample parking around back. All in all okay stay but not maybe our first choice.
Always enjoy returning to this pet friendly hotel where the staff is very personable and helpful with directions to shopping and restaurants. Breakfasts have a nice variety of options. We will return.
Best Western hotels are consistent, CLEAN, COMFORTABLE, AMPLE BREAKFAST, and FRIENDLY STAFF, which I cannot always say for other hotels. When travelling if we can find a Best Western at the same price as other hotel chains, it is our first choice. I have yet to review any Best Western with all the same claims, clean, comfortable, ample breakfast and friendly staff, and this hotel lived up to my expectations.
If you're traveling with pets & specifically cats (we are relocating from Southern California to Seattle) this hotel has great pet-friendly policies & the lower floor rooms have floor coverings to ensure a clean environment for current and future guests. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they made us feel welcome and comfortable during our stay. Highly recommend for a stress-free, pet-included stay in Redding.
rooms clean great staff very good breakfast clean dining area helpful and kind housekeeping staff pet friendly great acsess off the freeway good location close to Redding amenities shopping dining entertainment
For the price, you cant do much better. When I arrived at 1130 at night, was promptly greeted and checked in. Lobby was spotless, breakfast bar had many options, including waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, fruit, cereal, yogurt, juices, granola...all kinds of stuff. I would stay here again. Room was comfortable, water was hot for showers with decent water pressure. Towels and Sheets were clean, bathroom was spotless.
Best Western And Best Western Plus are the nicest and cleanest with a Wonderful Price With the Breakfast included...Makes my husband the happiest to get up and have Breakfast down stairs. The Rooms are clean and functional. The Staff are wonderful and helpful. Nice to have a Newspaper there when we get up
Great location with friendly staff and service. Great breakfast with really good coffee. Emily was very nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and bright and within a close location to our vehicles. Will stat here again.
Best Western continues to provide a great overall service at a reasonable rate. My dog and myself have always in the past and continue to feel welcomed and appreciated!.. I plan on using Best Western for all my traveling needs.....Thanks again for asking!
Breakfast was great, staff was always helpful and the bed comfortable. There were many choices at breakfast including eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles and a variety of pastry and dry cereal. The front desk staff were especially helpful.
We had a several day power outage and decided to treat ourselves to a night with power (heat, lights, etc. The room was lovely and quiet. Everything worked well, the front desk staff were friendly and helpful, the beds comfortable and warm. This has been my experience at every Best Western I have stayed at, and they are the hotel I choose whenever possible.
This hotel was a nightmare. The first room assigned the key would not open the door. It was determined the batteries were dead in the locking mechanism. The manager moved us to another room which turned out to be filthy. Mold in the corners of the bathroom, urine smell in the carpet and fleas were noted on our last night there. Also, the TV did not work and you could hear dogs barking from other rooms. The woman taking care of the breakfast area was notably disgusted after observing her clean tables that were dirtied by children eating there. Totally unnecessary gestures on her part. The only good thing to say about this facility was the convenience off of interstate 5.
Calling several times to get help with starting TV . When someone finally showed up., he said because of Satellite TV Antenna problem , there will be no TV service and at the end they gave a $10 discount. The staff were extremely unhelpful. Definitely will not stay at this place again.
When I travel up north, I always stay at this BW. I am pleased with the same person each time at check in. She even calls me later to see if everything is ok, and if I need anything! This is a very pet friendly hotel with many grassy areas.
Was here for a couple of days while on business. I stay in hotel rooms about 60-70 nights each year, mostly while on business. As a Diamond Select Rewards member, I try to stay in BW properties as often as I can. Here in Redding, I found the location conveniently set off I-5. Staff was cheerful and accommodating. Everything was as it should be, and breakfast was better than many other BWs. Express check out is appreciated.
The hotel is a fine place with a good staff. We had a good stay there. The breakfast was of good quality. It was easy to find from the freeway and was very convenient both to get to and leave from. The hotel is on the north edge of town so we drove in to town for dinner.
It was a nice clean hotel with a great continental breakfast. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom and shower were nice. Easy to access from highway and to get some where for a bite to east. Will stay again
This was a moving trip in a budget truck. Really needed a safe spot to stay overnight for the driver to get good rest. This BW was right off the 5 and very easy to find. I stayed in the cab all night (only way to keep truck secure as we were in the vehicle theft capital of the country) and felt very safe. Parking lot was well lit and you can see the cars from most of the rooms. Through the night it was a busy and noisy area as many trucks (pickups, big rigs, etc) were pulling off the highway and going to the parking lot across the street. The hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and food kept fresh and hot. While I did not sleep in the room, the driver told me he had a good night's sleep. Room was tidy and clean. There is a gas station near this stop, but food choices are limited, especially late at night. There is also another BW in Red Bluff we have stayed at before...also a good choice with a moving truck.
A wonderful oasis from I 5. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and fresh, and breakfast was great. This property upholds the standards of Best Western Plus. We will definitely stop here on our next trip thru the area!
Friendly and helpful people providing good service. Nice room, not exactly modern. I found the breakfast not really great. Also, the breakfast room could have capacity problems on a busy day. All in all, recommended. But a Best Western PLUS?
The staff is friendly and very caring. The room was neat and clean and close to an exit for our pet. The breakfast was delicious. Fluffy eggs, crisp bacon. The chocolate chip cookies were a treat on our first night. We will definitely stay here again.
I stay here regularly on my way to and from Southern California or Arizona from Seattle. Always a nice room, quiet, good breakfast in the morning. Close to Redding so there are plenty of places to eat. A favorite id Black Bear Diner.
Over all the rooms were ok there was lack of Hot water since half the building was withour hot water I felt that the motel should of offer a discount but they did not so I travel alot and these days I wonder of staying at BR is worth my dollars
This facility was a easy on easy off from the I-5 exit although could hear a little road noise but not bad. Had to do a very late check in and the lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful with a quick check in. Our room was very nice and clean, the bed was comfortable. The WiFi was good. We did not take advantage of the morning breakfast bar but the check out was quick. Would definitely recommend this facility to anyone passing through the area needing a good nights sleep.
After an 11 hour drive my wife and I were looking forward to a good night sleep. Unfortunately, the walls and floors must be thin. There were people walking, and what sounded like jumping, and in some cases falling? Loud bangs that kept waking us up. We had broken sleep until the noise makers quieted down. Very late. And they were back at it early in the morning. The receptionist was amazing. She was a ray of sunshine. My recommendation is to avoid this place if a good nights sleep is important to you.
The front desk is always fast and efficient. They were able to get us in at the last moment. We got a King suite at a discounted rate. The room was very clean. The rate was reasonable. Coffee was good.
If you are traveling in this area you would enjoy your stay at this Best Western. The rooms are clean and beautiful The breakfast is hot and plentiful. We enjoyed our experience during our stay. They have plenty of parking, great warm cookies and Emily, who works the front desk, is extremely helpful.
Although the staff was fairly friendly, they did not know how to quickly remedy an issue with their system not accepting a voucher, even after verifying that the voucher was valid. The room was dingy and in need of an update. We stay in BW in Texas, Colorado and Utah on a regular basis and the Northern California locations are definitely not up to the same standards (we had a similar experience, at the I5 location in Lodi CA).
I had a wonderful experience here the front desk was very friendly and welcoming. I got to check in early and check out late with no extra cost. It's also a great location right next to the freeway.i will definitely be coming back.
This motel was very clean and very friendly. All the staff were above expectation in their courtesy and going out of the way to help with kindness, especially those on the front desk. We also appreciated the filtered water and the hot chocolate. It was "the happy place".
First off took 10 minutes to check me in because the front desk person was chatting, when she finally got there she looked like she was on drugs. The halleay to our room smelled like mold. The room was decent. There were people who were not staying at the hotel partying by the pool and not letting anyone else in the jacuzzi. Management was not concerned.
We traveled with 2 service dogs and had requested a lower floor connecting room. When we arrived our rooms as requested were ready! The check in was easy and the receptionist very friendly. The rooms were smaller but each had 2 queen beds and the TV was very large which was nice. The amenities were standard. There was a pool and hot tub although we didn't use those- both outdoor. There are grass areas around for the pets. It is conveniently located off I 5. We ordered pizza from the pizza listed in the room book and it was absolutely amazing! And well priced. We had some of the continental breakfast and it was your standard. The beds are comfortable, the AC worked wonderfully, the staff was friendly and the fresh cookies at 6:30 were much needed and tasted good! All in all this was a nice place to stay and the price was very reasonable.
Ask any “Real” Wildland Firefighter and they'll tell you we're not the ones who writes review nor complaints, so that fact that I'm taking my time to write this should absolutely tell you that this place has by far exceeded my wants, needs and expectations! My crew and myself are assigned to cover the Shasta Trinity National Forest and and could of chosen any hotel in this area and I'm glad we chose this one! Jacob and where so helpful and made my check in absolutely painless, maybe cuz they saw the tiredness in my eyes but whatever they saw, they knew what to do and took very good care of us!
I have stayed in many Best Western inns. I did not really see any difference between this “Plus” inn and the regular Best Western inns. We were fairly satisfied with this one, though. Let me go over the positives: Well maintained; nice, outdoor pool; interior corridors; elevator (good for when you have luggage!); great-sized king suite; close to Interstate, but without Interstate noise; relatively quiet air-conditioner. Now the negatives: Only one real restaurant in the immediate vicinity and having drive to go to a restaurant (most hotels are next to restaurants); scrambled eggs were way too salty! (avoid if you are in a salt restricted diet; eat the hard boiled eggs instead). We were fine with this inn overall. We would definitely return to it if we were in the area again.
If I could sum up this hotel in two words it would be nice and clean. We were happy this place had a vacancy even though we booked it the night of. I was happy to find the room clean and comfortable. The woman who checked us out the following morning was super friendly.
Hotel positioned right off the freeway that was clean and comfortable. By this I mean the bed was comfortable, shower excellent and the AC unit not too loud. Bath, rugs and other were all clean. Check-In went very well as person was extremely friendly. The person at the front desk the next morning was also helpful as well as funny and pleasant. Breakfast items were the usual with eggs, bacon and waffles for hot items and a very large variety of cold items including cereal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt and so much more. The pastries were especially good and seemed a step up from store bought. WiFi always seems to be slow at most hotels, but this WiFi was fast and easy to connect. Price as a BW rewards person was around $110. This was a last minute booking as we were driving up I-5 about an hour from the hotel. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.
We enjoyed our stay throughout. Our room was large, nicely appointed, comfortable, and quiet, although we initially had some difficulty locating the elevator to take us to the second floor. Breakfast was good—the eggs were hot, the sausage and bacon and waffles tasty, and there were a variety of other standard items to round out the selection. The breakfast room staff kept everything neat and well supplied. The staff were great—the receptionists warm, friendly, chatty, the breakfast staff efficient and pleasant. Good choice if you're passing through. One caveat—the location. While easy yo reach from I-5, there are no restaurants nearby. We drove four exits south to find any; had we wanted to go into downtown Redding itself to dine we still would have had to drive 2-3 miles. Other than that, this is a fine choice.
We stayed our last night here. This was the nicest Best Western Hotel we have stayed at. The room was huge ! Nice king bed couch tv desk kitchen counter and full bathtub. The room felt like suite ..nice decor and cool a.c. . Breakfast was delicious and hot . The staff was very kind and friendly. We would definitely go back and stay here. Pet friendly as well..we will be back with our furry family. thank you
The check-in friendly and fast; the room had all the amenities we needed and the room was very quiet. The mattress and pillows were perfect and the shower was good and hot. Parking is close, breakfast was good. All for $94.
Second time I've used this hotel as a destination for dinner and sleep while on the road. Very quiet; clean. Used a food delivery service to bring dinner in. Breakfast was good. Emily at the front desk was outstanding in her welcome! Friendly, efficient, customer service oriented. Made me feel appreciated. I'll continue to use this hotel for my travels.
We were passing through Redding and this location was easy in/ out. We're did not try the pool but saw a couple folks in it. The room was clean and bathroom looked recently remodeled. Comfy bed and excellent air conditioning that did not smell musty and helped us dodge the 90 degree summer day
I checked in to the hotel on July 28th and checked out on July 28th. I booked this weeks in advance. When we went up to the room, which was on the 2nd floor even though we were told we would have a 1st floor room because we have a dog, when we entered the room he stunk of rotten pickles and mold. I went down stairs and the response was "here go see if this room stinks", and I was given another set of keys (cards). We were in 202 they gave me the cards to 201 and 203 across from us was opened because it smelled also. 201 was just as bad as our original room. Not to mention the original room (202) had what looked like blood next to the mirror. We left and checked out. I was told there would be no charge because they did not have a clean room for us. I checked my card and it was charged. I am a BW member and I have tried writing to them but I have heard nothing. We had to go to a different hotel and get a last minute room. I am very disappointed, especially that nobody has gotten back to me. Unfortunately I had to give a rating otherwise it would bot have received any stars.
My family and I stayed here for one night before continuing our road trip up to Portland. It was nice to have this hotel so close to the freeway. The staff here is absolutely wonderful and kind. The room itself had zero cleanliness issues and was in good condition. The breakfast had a pretty good selection. I guess my only complaint would be that the WiFi is a bit on the slower side, clocking in at 5 mbps down and 2 mbps up. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay and would recommend it if you are in the area!
We stayed at this Inn in June 2018 while we explored Lassen Volcanic NP, which is a must see for anyone interested in recent volcanic activity in the western park of USA. The room was good and basic. Breakfast was self serve. Restaurants were in the vicinity.
As we usually we do we stay here when passing through on vacations. The price is good for the level of hotel you get. I recomend this one to people I actually like. The Room was clean and the pool was refreshing. The AC was blowing nice and cold on this well over 100 degree day. Everthing was also good with the other day we stayed on our way back home.
The service at this motel is the best you will find anywhere. My daughter and I came because of a death in our family. Dianne at the front desk was so very kind to us during a very difficult time. I will only stay at this motel.
It was pleasure to get welcomed by staff. The location is so convenient, everything is near the location. The breakfast was great they have well prepared for customers. Also the room is so quiet and clean.
We stayed at BW Plus Twin View Inn & Suites in Redding the night of 6/29/19. It was not a good experience. We were told there was parking for our truck but it was a very small area with a large hump to pull through. The counter person was not helpful or pleasant. The room was not that clean, the privacy card was so worn we couldn't hang it on the door, and the closet doors were off track to the point the closet couldn't be used. If I weren't exhausted from 10 hours of driving I would have demanded my money back. I would have had just as good of service at Motel 6 or for a few dollars more I could have stayed at the Hampton Inn. It was a gross overcharge! We will never stay at a BW again.
If you are in northern California & need a place to stay the Best Western Plus Twin View Inn & Suites is a MUST Very friendly careing staff, convient, to highway, well decorated, & very good breakfast.
My sister, self, and Mom were travelling to Mt. Shasta to bury brother. We specifically chose this place because of the hot tub and got there to find it broken. My sister even bought a new bathing suit for it. However, the suite was much larger than the photos showed and was very nice for the three of us with a TV in the livingroom, the shared queens room, and the king room. Larger than average bathroom with an extra sink both right outside the door and in the kitchenette area. Desk and couch area too besides 2 bedrooms. There's a big plastic sheet over the front of the building too. Maids forgot to replenish in house coffee packs. The cost of the suite was less than if we had bought 2 separate rooms and we were never bothered by the adjacent elevator. This BW is on the northern end of Redding right off I5 so you are really out of traffic. It is in an industrial area so you hear trucks alot, but the view is nice past the telephone lines.Dramatic mountains.
My stay was uneventful, but very pleasant. I have stayed at this location in the past and have ALWAYS enjoyed my stay. This time, Sam, the night counter person, she was exceptional at getting me checked in quickly without complications. Her attitude was pleasant and made me feel like a true guest. I would HIGHLY recommend staying at this location if ever going through Redding.
I travel for business and BW has all my contact information. I receive acknowledgements, invoices, and surveys. When i mis booked my room they didnt reach out with any of my contact info. They did however bill it like a CPA. A simple call would have been appreciated but no. Imdid get this survey followup like clockwork.
A lot of fancy bells and whistles is NOT what makes a great stay at a hotel. Friendly helpful staff, a clean and comfortable bed and well stocked room and a quiet safe location with a FREE breakfast are what make a hotel standout.
This was a repeat visit and not likely to visit again. It is a good location, especially if you like to fall asleep to the sound of roaring trucks. So close to I-5 you can smell the diesel. Not sure what made this a "plus" in the Best Western offering. Our room cried to be updated. The shower water was lukewarm. The bed was soft. There was no tea in the room, inly coffee. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pretty standard. Try and reserve an upstairs room because you can certainly easily hear the footsteps of your roofmates. Whoever we shared with had perfected the flat footed, loud thud walk at 2 am. The rate was about $30 higher because of a fishing event in town. Good we had a reservation because they could probably have sold our room several times over.
Staff was friendly and went out of their way to help.I needed directions and they always pulled out a map and guided me to my destination. I have been here before and will be again. Eveyone was willing to assist with what ever needs arose.
Stayed here on our way home from Oakland, CA. Good place for a quick night when you are on the road. Clean and good value for the price! The gal who checked us in was very friendly and helped us find a decent place to eat when we checked in late on a Sunday night.
We've stayed at this place before. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Their breakfast is good and always fresh. We have a dog and this is a pet friendly place. This is close to the freeway.
Nice hotel , a little on the older side , but everything worked fine - Decent but not extensive breafast selection - Actual heavy plastic cutlery thy one could cut things with! No problem , a No Surprises Best Westtern stay
Very sketchy area with minimal lighting in parking lot. Even though it is a pet friendly hotel, it seemed like it was the Humane Society and humans were there. I have never seen so many dogs in 1 hotel at 1 time
When we travel Best Western is our usual choice for a motel due to their value and that there is normally one very close to where we are at. We were on a road trip so were were just looking for somewhere clean and comfortable to spend the night and be on our way the next morning. The Twin view Inn and Suites fit the bill perfectly, clean quiet room, good internet, and breakfast in the morning. We had no problems and would stay again in the future if we are in the area. Like
This hotel is clean with friendly staff. I stayed for business related training. They had a very small conference room which accommodated as nicely since we were a small group. They had hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, waffles, fruit, cereal, and pastries. Typical for most hotels. Breakfast area was quite small so on days that the hotel was busy it was difficult to find a place to sit to eat. Otherwise the hotel was quite comfortable.
Stopped here while passing through the area and would not hesitate to do so again. The room was clean, the staff were very friendly, the location was good. The breakfast could have been a wee bit better but was not terrible either.
Our little family of 4 stayed here for one night while traveling through on Spring Break. We had a king suite on the first floor. I was worried about noise from above but it was so very quiet. We all had a wonderful night's sleep after a long day of driving. Breakfast was standard hotel breakfast with hot and cold items. The hotel was full but it was disappointing that the breakfast area seemed too small for the number of guests. It was crowded and difficult to navigate with kids in tow. My husband and I went to breakfast at different times and he gave up eating since it was so crowded. Perhaps getting to breakfast very early or very late would have been better, but not very realistic with typical morning routines of families. As other reviewers have said, it is about a 5 minute drive away from most restaurants . The area felt safe and was close to I-5 on the north end of town.
The rooms were ok. The door knob came off. The fans in the bathroom were very loud and you hear them through the walls. The breakfast was pretty standard for a BW. Parking seems to be a bit tight especially for late arrival.
We enjoyed staying at the Twin View Best Western for the first time. We come to Redding, CA a couple of times a year. This facility was clean, quiet, and has very friendly staff. We will come back again.
We were at Redding, CA from March 15 through March 18, to attend a wedding. With so many Travel Advisor positive reviews, we decided to stay at the Best Western Plus Twin View Inn--yes, we're quite happy that Travel Advisor's reviews were accurate. Our choice turned out to be a pleasant one. The hotel is located on the northern side of Redding, right off Hwy 5--actually on the outskirts of town.Since it's not in Redding proper you'll be driving to places to eat--maybe 5 minutes away. The hotel itself is clean, easy to get to, and the staff super friendly. Our room was ample, extremely clean, and well-maintained. A breakfast is included in the daily rate. Because it's a bit from town, you won't be able to go for an evening stroll; it's situated, more or less, in an industrialized/commercialized part of town. The hotel area, nonetheless, is safe. There are other hotels in the immediate area. As usually, guests often forget items upon check out. We were no exception. On the day of our check-out, we were about two hours away from Redding when the hotel contacted us. The hotel rep informed us that we had forgotten a pair of pliers (I bought them for .98 to fix a suitcase zipper) and some of the wife's makeup things. We informed the rep that we didn't need them and to dispose of the items. We were thoroughly impressed with the staff's thoughtfulness and honesty. Yes, upon our return to Redding we will definitely stay at the Best Western Plus Twin View Inn.
We enjoyed our overnight stay at this very clean and welcoming hotel while visiting for business.. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I will stay here again when in Redding.
The staff if very friendly. When I told them I was there to visit a brother who lost his house to the fire last summer, they were very sympathetic, and even asked if he wanted to join me for breakfast. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Nothing fancy, but a nice place to stay. The breakfast is the usual for Best Western, with some hot dishes, including eggs, bacon and waffles. Hearty and tasty. The hotel is one of two Best Westerns in Redding, and this one is at the north end of town right off the freeway. Very easy to get to. Good rates and easy parking. I would stay there again.
Front desk and breakfast bar hostess went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met. I had been stuck at dealership until nearly midnight. Last meal was breakfast. Night auditor foraged for a bit of food. The breakfast hostess worked really hard to keep all items stocked and fresh and the area clean. She was very kind Thank you
I think this hotel is priced to attract people who appreciate the price tag. It's a good hotel in a quiet setting, but very near the freeway. Staff is quite wonderful. For people looking for a moderately priced option without sacrificing quality and comfort, this hotel is a winner.
The hotel is very nice, new, clean and well managed. The staff was friendly and efficient. The room was very nice, the bed comfortable and I will definitely revisit on my next trip through the Redding area. The hotel is literally a stones throw from US-5 but very quiet inside. We had a great stay.
The hotel was very clean. The staff that was there a year ago were all still there. This tells me they like there job. Breakfast was great and made it easy to get started in morning. The only issue I had was the room lacked a easy outlet to plug in your phone.
When my 37 people group came back from the Even at 10 P.M., they refilled hot water for us again and again and gave me home made cookies and more bananas. The breakfast is multiple kinds. They changed the towels everyday.
Several family members stayed at the Redding Best Western Plus to attend a memorial service in the area. The hotel was just perfect...the accessible room had plenty of room for my mother's wheelchair and my husband's room nearby was upgraded to a suite which was perfect for the family gathering room. Front desk service was exceptional, the breakfast worker was friendly and worked non-stop and the room cleaning service workers were quiet and efficient. Couldn't ask for anything more except not having to be there for my brother's memorial in the first place.
Great hotel staff, always friendly and helpful, always enjoyed the breakfast when I had time for it. Even when I would show up early with no reservation, they always helped to get a room for me. Really enjoy staying here!
Wonderful check in and check out experience, Emily and Sam were professional, informative and helpful in every way. Breakfast was fantastic, Barbara was expedient in having the food hot, everything always available, constantly cleaning up and helping guests. the hotel was clean, WiFi available and fast, easy access from freeway and quiet, especially with the amount of guests at the hotel. Would highly recommend and will stay here again on my next trip.
Had a really positive stay at this hotel. Exceptional staff. Went over and above in their assistance, kindness, etc. Especially "D". Room very clean and bed very comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding! And the staff kept the hotel very quiet. Will certainly stay there again when in town.
The hotel staff, facilities, breakfast, and the room were all very nice for the price I paid. I appreciated the brightly lit parking lots, as I arrived at night. They are also a great security feature to keep vehicles safe. The bed was a bit stiff, and seemed like it had been there for quite awhile. This was my only “complaint” however.
We have stayed here in the past and we have always been pleased and this time was no different. The staff was helpful at check in and through our stay. The room was nice and we had no issues. And the best part was is the price !! It was only $98 per night. The Twin View lives up to the Best Western Plus name and is a nice hotel for the price. I have stayed there at least a half a dozen times as we are passing through on family vacations s have never been disappointed. Anytime in the past that we ever had any issues the staff was very friendly and quick to make things right even if it was moving us to an upgraded room.
The front desk people were very friendly..The breakfast was very good and the room was very clean! We would stay there again. Note...They had families staying there from the fires and they handled the load very smoothly considering it was the holidays...
Comfortable and clean. At first I thought I was going to be walking outdoors a lot ferrying luggage from the car to the room, but after consulting their map, I realized that lots of entrances made it convenient to access the car once a room "key" was acquired.
We stayed one night in 2016 and it was great. The manager De was funny and accommodating. Made us feel at home. Breakfast was well put together. Well, we stayed here again in January 2019 and De was still there! Just as nice as ever. You will have some minor road noise if you have a room on that side, but even with that, this Best Western was the nicest place on our 8 night trip to AZ and back.
This location was A++ on customer service and cleanliness . Breakfast was great!! Had everything you needed to feel full and food was hot and great . Staff made sure to have fresh cookies all times in the lobby for guest members.
Located in an industrial area with lots of outside noises during the night. Hotel is very outdated with narrow and tight hallways. No eating areas close to hotel so you must drive out for supper to find a place to eat.
Very nice hotel but the room I stayed in was Very small compared to other BW rooms. Breakfast was very nice and hotel staff was excellent especially front desk. Would check the room beforehand as my room was small
This is a Nice hotel by the highway interstate I5. They have very good staff service. Nice hot breakfast in the morning, fast check in/check out service. Has lots of food resto that delivers to hotel. Ampoule parking and safe.
A very comfortable stay at Best Western. The hotel's decor is a bit dated but hotel is very clean, combined with helpful, friendly staff - a wonderful experience! The bed was very comfortable. We stay at Best Western whenever we can. Thank you!
Normally we stay at the Best Western Hilltop, but they have gone up in price. This is a good place with nice rooms. Their breakfast was very good, especially because we were leaving first thing in the morning. It is also very dog friendly. Will stay there again. Their staff was very nice.
Our family used the BW off of Twin View Blvd in Redding, CA. The staff at the desk, laundry department and housekeepers were kind and responsive with our needs. They need to replace the mattresses because they are worn out, however, overall- the services was positive and the rooms were clean along with the bathroom. Thank you! Keep up the good work!
The Best Western Plus Twin View Inn continues to be a perfect place to stay when I am traveling from Modoc County down to the Bay Area. It's nice to be greeted by a friendly, helpful staff to start off my stay.
I stayed here in 2012, and enjoyed the stay. 6 years later this remains a great BW. Check-in was fast, the check-out was faster. The room was huge, the breakfast was tasty. Easy access from the freeway on the northside of town.
We stayed here for one night. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the last room available on the first floor - next to the I5 freeway. It was quite (unexpected). When we arrived, the room was already cool - very nice for hot weather. Staff recommended several restaurants, and we tried one that was very good (and 80 years old). Breakfast was typical for this style facility.
There are a number of outstanding things about this BW. First the location is so very convenient from the Interstate. Second the front desk staff by Ms. Sam is as always the best possible service including fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. The breakfast was very complete, well prepared and maintained by helpful professional. Finally if you have a pet, this is like a pet hotel too. Special pet rooms for a minimal extra fee. This BW with ample parking is definitely a gem of a hotel.
A very nice Best Western on the I-5 heading to Oregon. Just make sure this Best Western is the one further north, and not the first one that you see heading north into Redding. We stayed in a pet friendly room, which was very nice. Clean laminate floors to protect against any accidents from your pet, and no prior pet smells. Room has DTV, free internet, microwave, and frig. The breakfast was good with a couple of hot items.
This is a great hotel to stay in if you want to experience Redding California and not stay in the city. It has a couple of resteraunts nearby that are good. The service is excellent and all the staff is very courteous
The room was very clean and comfortable. It had the things I appreciate, including a microwave, mini fridge, full length mirror, and a window that opens. The hotel was full, yet quiet. Breakfast included halal and vegan options.
Best Western used to mean something, not the case here. When we walked into our room it was dark , we flipped on the light and were taken back by the overall poor condition. The bed looked like the mattress had been picked up off the street and was terribly uncomfortable. The floor was a mix of tile and fake wood with a t-mold that if you didn't pick your toes up you would be tripping. And the fake wood floor was mushy and also coming up. The property is situated between I-5 and a major road for gravel hauler dump trucks so if you like listening to that traffic all night this place is for you. Very noisy place, it sounded like maintenance was doing work with a ladder at 3am. A positive is it is pet friendly and the lady at the front desk was very nice. Will not be staying here again.
Here on solo pleasure trip. Been here 3 nights. Sam the awesome afternoon front desk lady is great! Very pleasant and accommodating. Average breakfast but gets me going. One choice for meat. Eggs. Fruit and make your own waffles. Juice and coffee. Little bit of road noise but turned on bath fan and just fine. Nice king suite with frig and micro. Suite was clean. Very friendly staff.
The service especially the front desk and room were very nice so we would definitely stay there again, beds are comfortable and there is a deli about a block from the hotel that the sandwiches and the salads are delicious!
We have stayed at numerous hotels in Redding over the years, but this is definitely our favourite. Excellent staff, especially "D", despite being very busy due to the fires. Large very clean rooms, a great outdoor pool and hot tub, and a very good breakfast. Nothing negative to say. Will definitely be back next year
Convenient place to stopover on the way to Oregon. Room was clean, staff friendly, plenty of parking. Very supportive town as the Carr fire has been burning for a month. Thank you placards posted on every overpass in town. Great little deli (Dill's Deli & BBQ) around the corner. Great sandwiches & ribs!
After having many problems with another Hotel, the staff worked to get us into the hotel with a refrig and microwave unlike the previous hotel, with a good breakfast, nice beds and friendly staff, The Stormchaser says good choice, and better than La Quinta TY
This Best Western was a welcome, needed rest after a very long day and stressful day. The cookies at check in were the start of our being able to unwind. Relaxing in the hot tub was exactly what we needed. The comfortable beds gave us the rest we needed. And the breakfast got us fueled up to hit the road again. Would definitely recommend this location.
This was 2nd time staying at this Best Western since 2014. Will always put it on top of our list when ever in Redding, CA. The entire experience was A+, from quality of room, clean crew techs, check in & out, Breakfast Service & quality of food. Perfect location right off I-5.
I was staying at the hotel during the Carr fire. The manger Peter made sure we were all kept staff and help many who wanted to leave. He answered all question asked and made sure understood there would be no charges. The whole staff helped us all get through the disaster over many days
This hotel is easy on/easy off and ideal if you are on a drive north and want to rest on the north side of Redding. After getting through the local traffic of Redding (really not too bad--there are lots of exits and it's a real Interstate highway so it keeps moving), you can rest up for a drive to Shasta Dam, Shasta Caverns or Mt. Shasta. So, good location. Very friendly staff who help you make a reservation with welcome and style. They answer guest questions from out of towners and look things up. They describe the amenities, especially breakfast, and give informed directions on where to park. The free Breakfast is generous and well-attended. The server kept replenishing supplies of eggs and toast. Swimming pool and hot tub were clean and you can ask for a pool towel at the front desk. All in all it is a well-maintained property that is run with pride. Makes me even more loyal to the Best Western brand.
I like that this is right off the freeway and the staff are very friendly upon check-in and when checking out. I have stayed here twice. If you are a rewards member, you get a nice gift when checking in - two bottles of water, a bag of chips and granola bars. Nice selection of foods for breakfast including healthy options. The floorplan of the hotel is a little strange and the elevator is in a back wing. Sometimes you have to walk a distance to get to your room, especially if you are on the second floor.
Great place. Nice and clean. Customer service was excellent. Delicious breakfast and choc chip cookies. Located right on our way. Easy acess to property, Free parking, newspaper, breakfast, inter7net, fitness center, pool, spa, business center and nice lobby. My pets were welcome to stay with me. Enjoyed the cable tv.
D' checked us in and out and she is most happy, friendly, and most helpful. She made our stay feel very welcome. The Room, Breakfast, and everything was very good. The location was right close to the Hwy 5 which made it easy to get to but was also very quiet. We would stay here again if we are in the area.
This Best Western was great. When I was waiting to check in there was a family that had got their room through Priceline. They needed 2 beds but Priceline had only got them 1 bed. The staff was understanding and went out of their way to help them. The staff had way more patience than I would have. Also my wife was happy with the hotel. She commented that the beds were the most comfortable she has slept on in a hotel.
Maybe I was spoiled by the amazing Best Western we had stayed in in Chester the night before, but this one just seemed kind of worn. The halls were a confusing maze and our room and bathroom seemed very tiny. It was clean and quiet though which is the most important thing.
Accommodating, friendly, super helpful staff. Room was wood floors for the dog and bed very comfortable. I felt super welcome with my pet. Bathroom even had a tub, and refrigerator and coffee maker much appreciated. Staff pointed me in the direction of several fantastic walking parks super close to the hotel. Hotel even has small swimming pool and spa. Breakfast hearty and fresh...nice lobby area too. Definitely recommend.
Arrived late after an unexpected delay on a road trip, no time for even reservations. Located just off freeway, a good start! Arrived and was well helped by a young man and young lady who were "fun" to check-in with, all things considered. Quick, efficient, personable, just what was needed. The amenities were great as well; large, comfy room and really comfortable bed, and quiet even though off main lobby! Was able to sleep in and catch up on late night road drain. Would definitely recommend for future visits.
Oh the joys of trying to use your smart phone driving through the mountains, trying to book a hotel last minute. We finally were able to keep service long enough to get started on our reservation here and it worked well. Just a stop over on the road South, after the obligatory In and Out Burger. We were concerned initially about freeway noise, but we didn't notice much, more noise from the surface streets, but nothing out of the ordinary. Room was nicely appointed, with all the usual items. Wife was momentarily confused because the sink is not in the bathroom and some of the supplies were by the sink, some by the tub. Easily cured. The hotel has a different layout so there is a maze feeling to finding one's room. Signage is good so no real issue other than self inflicted anxiety. There is a pool and exercise area, both of which we avoided as they looked healthy. We did do the breakfast, right at the end of the session. Some clean up issues, but the crowd had been constant and the lady was working as fast as she could. Television was set to national network rather than cable news, which is always a test for me. The only noteworthy issue was the faucet on the sink. If you brush your teeth, then bend down and rinse from the faucet rather than using a cup, and most of us really do it that way, even though our mothers would be appalled, you are risking injury. The handle, a very stylish one, is not wide and rounded, but rather is pencil thin and long. If you aren't careful you could impale your eyeball as you bent over to spit. Be forewarned. The rest is all good, particularly the staff. Nice folks.
We stayed one night this time but I have stayed before. I found everything clean and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast is typical for a hotel, scrambled eggs/bacon/sausage, make your own waffles, etc. I would recommend highly.
Stayed here for one night and found it convenient to explore Whiskeytown National Recreational Area. Although few miles away from downtown and main shopping area but it was not an issue for us. Staff was super courteous and friendly, rooms were good size and clean and breakfast was decent.
Very good hotel. Friendly caring stall, clean and spacious room. The room was an ADA room and we had no problems. Plenty of room to get around the room in a wheelchair. The only drawbacks were low water pressure in the shower and the room was at the end of a moderately long Hallway from the elevator. Good food for breakfast.
I was pleased with the location, very friendly staff, amenities were fair, at times it can be a little loud from the traffic perspective, but over all quiet enough. The air conditioning in the room could get a little cooler but 61? is not bad.
This Hotel has been updated just under a year ago!! What a difference!! It is beautiful, clean and quiet!! The hot breakfast is the BEST we have ever had in a hotel!! Food that is suppose to be hot, is HOT! Go figure!! Wonderful selections and LOTS of food!! I can't say enough about it!!
Great Hotel, great staff, and took all the guesswork out of having a mini vacation. The room was spacious and the kids had a blast at the swimming pool, the staff even brought us our towels we didn't even have to leave the area. I would highly recommend this to anybody staying in the area I recommend the king suite
This BW is right off the 5 in Redding. Its physical plant is below average, with thin walls, single pane windows & in need of a remodel in light of the location. The towels are small, beds are well worn. They do have a pleasant and can-do staff at the desk and at breakfast-and they were understaffed & overwhelmed by a hungry crowd in for a car show. Place was clean & stunk of disinfectant all around. HQ needs to standardize its approach if they want people to stick with the rewards program.
Very nice hotel, on the north end of town in a quiet area. We used the hotel as a hub for day trips in the area. The room was quiet and comfortable. Fresh cookies every evening! The staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
Really enjoyed our stay hear. Right off I-5 so easy to find but quiet with no road noise. Clean, comfortable and extremely helpful, courteous staff. Quick check in, hot chocolate chip cookies, and accommodating. We are traveling with a diabetic dog and needed freezer space for our cooler cold packs. They allowed us to store in hotel freezer overnight. Breakfast was a great selection of hot items, breads, and the attendant was very quick to keep stocked and clearing tables. Check out was easy and the front desk clerk was attentive even though it was apparently a hectic morning! Would definitely stay here again if passing thru Redding. The management and staff here could set the bar for the Best Western brand.??
For starters, the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The full breakfast was quite nice. Room was clean and quite well appointed. They're located conveniently off I-5. For this type of property, the price/performance was excellent.
The hotel was very clean, the bath tub even shined! All staff members were very helpful and professional. We arrived late, in the rain, and tired - but the staff was very cheerful and welcoming. The added breakfast is definitely a plus- good variety of food and well prepared.
After driving 650 miles we were more than ready to stretch out in a comfy room. We checked in, went up to the room and immediately went back to the desk. For a non-smoking room, it reeked of cigarettes. The front desk gal offered another room but we did not care to walk thru the maze trying to find another room that might be as bad. She did nothing to try and maintain our business. (go stay at The Fairfield Inn a block away! Less expensive, clean, super quiet and beautiful). We have been long time BW rewards member and have had acceptable stays in the past in various cities. The chain seems to be declining as we encountered deplorable conditions back east as well.
We stayed on our way through California on Spring Break and the hotel was clean, the room was clean, the dining area was clean. We checked in around 8pm and were warmly greeted by the front desk clerk. We had booked ahead of time so it was very quick. I highly recommend getting the Best Western App and finding the best prices for your needs.
Located right off the freeway, but quiet. Nice reception area and pleasent attentent. Room and bed very comfortable. Warm Cookies were a nice treat. Looking forward to the complete breastfast. So nice to have a place we can enjoy with both our cat and dog.
My family and I had a very positive experience at the Best Western Plus Twin View Inn & Suites. The employees were all very nice and helpful, from the lady at the front desk to the people working in the dining room. When we arrived, they offered us free chocolate chip cookies hot out of the oven! Our bedroom was clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and we all got a good night's sleep. In the morning, I worked out in the fitness center and it was clean with plenty of aerobic-exercise equipment and weights, and a TV. There were a lot of different types of breakfast foods available in the dining room. We picked up a free copy of USA Today in the front lobby. We highly recommend this hotel.
easy access. findable on GOS. well signed. nice varied hot buffet. fresh baked cookies at check in. nice pleasant check in staff and young breakfast gentleman. all show that they enjoy their job with smiles and courtesy to guests
I have stayed at this motel several times and I have never been disappointed. They are a 10 in every category. All the staff are very helpful, it's clean, food good, rooms comfortable and quiet. I always look forward to staying with them when I'm in the area. They are right off the freeway and close to down town. They will even send a to go breakfast with you if you have to hurry.
I had my daughter's laptop and all her clothes, shoe's, text books, jackets, $4,000 + it was everything from her dorm, this was witnessed by night auditor, I wasn't offered compensation for my one night stay.
Nice clean room, comfy bed, good sleep in fact we over slept a bit!! Great breakfast bar, well supplied the breakfast room ladies were on their game!! Cookies at the front desk when we checked in at dinner time were a welcome snack!!
This was our third visit in a year. Great stop on the North South trek. The staff have been incredibly helpful and look foreword to dealing with them again in the not too distant future. The amenities were very good as expected.
We stayed at the Twin View Inn in Redding, CA on our trip to Phoenix. The hotel is your typical Best Western, reasonably well kept, the room was clean and all amenity's worked as they should. The internet seemed to work well and breakfast was offered on time and well prepared. I would not hesitate to stay at the Twin View Inn & Suites again.
I have stayed at this motel a number of times in the past few years. About a year ago, I adopted a dog and he can now join me on the trip. I called to make the reservation (rather than online) to be certain that I had a dog friendly room. The individual I spoke with was most helpful and reservation was quickly completed. The day of trip, we checked in (friends and I had two rooms reserved). Check-in was quite easy. Male counter person was friendly and helpful. Room was the same room that I had in the past and was quite satisfactory. Exit door to outside was just around the corner. To our surprise, however, was the fact that the motel was under contruction/rehab and the breakfast room was greatly effected. There were very few tables and had to be shared as needed. However, all worked out well and had nice visits with people I would have never met. The evening of this stay, my travel companions and I went out to dinner. As I wanted to be certain that my dog would do okay, in my absence, I had given him his vet prescribed tranquilizer hours before leaving so that it would work. Toby was quite sedate upon leaving the motel and was still quiet when I returned to my room. However, to my surprise when I arrived home I found a message from the male who checked us in, telling me that my dog had been barking for a 1/2 hour and to do something about it. I truly had to listen to his message several times, as he has a thick accent and I was not certain what the purpose of the call was at the beginning. I am a responsible dog parent and try my best to be sure my dog is comfortable and certainly not disruptive. Will address whatever issue maybe for future travels. Generally, warm cookies are available about 6:30 p.m. When we returned from dinner, a friend asked about the cookies and he stated that he had burnt the second batch so none available. In the past, too, we have received a BW members welcome bag (with water and a snack), but not this time. As far as the breakfast, it was satisfactory. Food that was to be hot was and food to be cold was. Nice variety. The employee restocking, etc. was somewhat in the way. There was very little room as so much of the dining area was closed off and she stood close by the entire time. I always leave the employee a tip, when I finish my breakfast. In the past, I have gone looking for the person, but in this case she was there waiting for her tip. All and all, I have generally had a very good stay each and every time I have been at this BW. Hopefully, the next visit may be a little smoother.
This is a hotel we stayed on an unplanned stop needed on a roadtrip from Oregon to Southern California. Is an average hotel on the road with breakfast and normal rooms. It was the only hotel available in Redding that night so we had no choice.
Room was fine. They gave us one right by the door so we could go out with the dog quickly. Was quiet. Breakfast was good. Front desk was on the phone with another customer for a really long time, so it took forever to get checked in. Good stop to stop over on a long drive with dogs.
Good value for the money. Very clean. Nice to have the option of having a small pet. Pool and spa was in good order. No trash on the grounds. Nice to have something right off the freeway. Breakfast was so tasty and had a good selection.
We have always stayed in Best Western Hotels, recognizing that BW Plus, and BW Premier are more upscale than just BW. We have always trusted the ratings, but this BW Plus hotel is seriously over-rated. It was shabby; floors were peeling, wall-paper was torn and the rooms (104) and (102) had huge cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and smelled bad. The furniture was stained, scratched, and mismatched. To be fair, we were informed that it was under renovations, but there was no sign of this in our view. This hotel offered no better value for its cost of accommodation than a low-budget hotel that doesn't pretend to be anything else. Avoid this one in Redding, Ca. and stay at the OTHER BW PLUS in Redding.
This hotel was not bad. We just stayed one night on our way back to California from Washington. There was some construction going on, which was a little annoying, but really didn't bother us. It was clean and even though it is right by the freeway, you really couldn't hear it.
All staff from front desk to those that were helping in breakfast area were very attentive. The food was good to get one going in the mourning. The Bed was comfortable. The remodeled room was clean and tidy. Food and restaurants were very close to the area surrounding the motel.
The staff were very friendly and efficient on check in and check out. They were very knowledgeable about where to go for dinner or to have it delivered. The room was very comfortable. It was an enjoyable stay.
We were very happy with the friendly and helpful staff. The room was comfortable and my wife's disability was considered as to our room placement. We would recommend this place to our friends. The only slight disappointment was we couldn't get as late a checkout as we have at other Best Westerns.
I was very impressed by how nice all the staff members were at this hotel. I was staying for a wedding and it was very close to the venue and all other services needed, gas, food, etc. The breakfast was nice and provided several different types of food that most people would like. The rooms were clean and orderly when we arrived. I would come back to this hotel if I ever had an event in the city again.
Perfect location for those visiting Bethel Church! Walking distance from the Twin View annex location for the church. Nice size rooms, good parking. Great prices! Friendly staff. I stay there every year.
This hotel was very comfortable, the staff was very accommodating. The lady at the front desk recommended a great Italian Restaurant (Nello's) and even gave us a map to get there. The food was wonderful, hard to believe there is a restaurant like that in Redding, CA.
Got a 2 queen room and it was so small! Odor in room. Needs to be renavated. Horrable location not by anything. Pool was dinky and waffle machine was out of order no syrup either. The worst best western I have ever stayed at. Check inn took 15 mins with no line staff said she was tired cause of a crazy night the night before.
Black Mold in bathroom, tub and shower trickle only. Less than a water fountain! The bed was quite comfortable, had to shower in coworkers room at hotel down the road. Front desk not manned at night. Ring, no answer to phone either.
Professional staff, clean facility and room. The bed was very comfortable. Wi-Fi was good...Quiet Air conditioner. Shower was real nice and clean. Room was laid out for maximum efficient use of space.
For a 3 star hotel you can't expect much and there were many negatives either. The free breakfast that includes eggs, bacon and fresh waffles is the highlight of this hotel. My room had a bad odor but I didn't notice it any longer after I fell asleep.
Very dated hotel and does not meet the standard "BW Plus" category! . The room as it had a very musty smel. The airco was zo dusty we couldn't use it. The front desk man was very friendly. Its time to UPDATE!
Quiet and convenient location, close to interstate and arterials but without the noise. Well-kept property, pleasant and attentive staff. Comfortable room, clean and well-appointed. Breakfast looked popular--too crowded for my schedule!
Stayed 2 nights. Cannot fault D for her welcome. Room ok. Breakfast ok. Didn't have coffee or cups replaced for second night so had to ask at reception.. Not what we were expecting in respect of service. Cookies in the afternoon on reception desk were a nice touch. Had to drive for attractions. Should have checked this beforehand. Bed very soft - some may like that but we had trouble sleeping.
It's in a fairly quiet area of town, right off freeway, but close enough to get to many restaurants, gas stations, etc. It looks fairly new and ALL rooms are non-smoking. Clean and comfortable and good selection of breakfast foods.
Everyone at Twin View BW is friendly, smiling, welcoming and helpful. Best second family I could ask for. Great rooms, super hot and cold breakfast, great pool, quiet location, great parking easy freeway access, highly visible from freeway north and south bound (good signage). I wouldn't stay anywhere else for my weekly and unexpected business trips to the northern CA area
Can't beat the value and the staff - every member of the staff went out of her way to interact and make sure we had everything we needed...a nice personal touch to our stay. One of the nicer Best Westerns we've stayed at, and we have stayed a quite a few. Very pleased overall. Nice facility, more current than many we have stayed at in Northern California. We will definitely stay here again any time we are headed through the area. .
I honestly cannot recommend this hotel; upon check-in, the desk clerk informed me that she is a trainee, and not allowed to talk to guests - the night manager was involved in a lengthy discussion with someone in an adjoining room, and apparently not monitoring the front desk. I waited approximately four (4) minutes, and then started toward the area where the conversation was taking place the night manager finally noticed me and moved to the front desk. After check-in, I was really disappointed in the room - it was very small and in ill repair; the paint was chipped and scratched, the parquet floor in front of the vanity was peeling up (serious tripping hazard), the bedside lamp and electrical outlet was inoperative, the upright lamp stand was comically bent, the bathroom fixtures were dirty, and the room smelled stale. I have been a diamond-level member of Best Western for several years, and this was definitely not what I have come to expect. I definitely will not be returning to this particular establishment!
There is absolutely no way this hotel should have the "plus" designation. The room was fairly shabby and the breakfast was very standard. I would never stay here again since there are plenty of other hotels to choose from.
We had a very pleasant experience at this hotel. All staff were extremely friendly and professional. Our room was clean and comfortable. Bed was great, towels were large, amenities were very nice. The breakfast included many items including eggs, bacon, sausage. We would definitely stay here again if our travels take us to Redding.
Good place to stay while visiting sites near by. Rooms and hotel is clean. Somewhat old. But being maintained. AC was excellent during heatwave ~112 deg weather. The carpet is old but clean. The rooms are small but good for a family of 4. The beds are not as comfortable as the ones found in Hyatt or higher star rating hotels. But sufficient. Overall good stay.
not the best stay; I spend 6 months out of the year in hotels; bathtub squeaks - it felt like it was falling underneath you. woke up my husband who was sleeping at the time; air condition was not working properly; most uncomfortable stay
Had driven up the Central Valley in heat and smoke from forest fires. Redding was 110+. You bet we were glad to get into the BW, where the room was cooled, there was a small pool, and the room was well lit for reading. Also the refrigerator was about 2-3 feet tall, not the tiny one-shelf one in some BW Plus properties. The staff was very welcoming and there were cookies out on the desk when we checked in. Breakfast good quality and well maintained.
I come back all the time because of the friendly engaging professional customer service from all employees I encounter at this hotel. Clean, good internet, acceptable breakfast, complementary paper, windows that can open for fresh air, clean tv remotes and hair dryer.
Clean and comfortable, always enjoy the complimentary breakfast at BW hotels. Nice to have the AC on in room upon entering since Redding gets so hot in Summer (over 100 that day). Staff were cheerful, friendly and answered all our questions. Quick check-in/check-out. Would stay again if need arises.
Easy access off the freeway, the accommodations were above average. Very comfortable bed, great pillows, nice decor. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and they had a nice full breakfast. The area in which the hotel is located is what I would call light industrial, but I was only passing through for the night.
Stayed overnight on the way to Southern California. It was a good stopover location. Beds were extremely comfortable. Breakfast OK - the normal hotel food, but hot choices were available. Staff very friendly and efficient.
The hotel was easy to see from hi-way and we pulled right in from off ramp. We were tired from the drive and the check in was fast. The room was quiet next to H-iway, we fell a sleep right away. There was a lot of space for us to spread out in room. The remote for TV had easy to understand instruction. We had no problems hooking up with internet. The water park was just down road for grandkids.
The staff greeted us nicely and treated us with the "Best Western Rewards" positive attitude. All staff was very friendly. Where this Best Western falls short was in the guest room. The shower curtain was tattered and torn. The safety bar in the shower was missing. No carpeting in the room which made the room "feel cold and unwelcome". Other rooms appeared to have carpeting.
This is an excellent facility. All the staff are very courteous and helpful. The beds are great, rooms clean and bright. The best night sleep I had on my entire vacation. Even though it looks old, it is very well maintained. Good price for a great hotel.
The check in was special being appreciated as a platinum member. Breakfast was very good. The room showed wear and mold in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable. The location was just out of town thus not the rat race of downtown.
This was a stay over stop during our trip through the area. All staff we interacted with were more than pleasant and happy to help us out! This is defiantly a place we would recommend and or stay again if in the area!!
Staff was wonderful, they went the extra mile. Courteous and Friendly. Room and facility very clean. Location was very central and easy to access. Quiet location. The only downfall was that the pool wasn't very big. Quite small actually and pretty shallow. Hot tub was nice.
Hotel is easy for on/off the 5 freeway. Clean, well-kept rooms. The front desk staff are very friendly, customer service oriented and greet guests with a smile - very appreciated!!! I was traveling with just my dog and as a single female I felt safe walking my dog around the hotel for the several areas of grass - I would not however, take a long walk through the general area after dark - just a precaution -for those women traveling on their own. If you do plan on staying at this hotel, please be fully aware the pet friendly rooms are NOT carpeted. If you have a dog that enjoys jumping up on the bed, (with your sheet that you brought with you to cover the hotel linen of course!) - they will slip and potentially injure themselves. If your dog is older and has weak hips, they will have great difficulty getting up off the floor. I understand completely that non-carpeted rooms for pets are a plus for the hotel due to dogs eliminating in rooms, spills, etc (lack of responsible pet ownership!!). Just be aware when you choose this hotel, it may not be the best or safest for your dog.
My wife and I stayed at the BW Plus Twin View Inn & Suites on Saturday, 8/5/17. We were pleasantly surprised by comfort, cleanliness and helpfulness of the staff of the BW Plus Twin View Inn & Suites. We slept like babies in our king sized bed, after showering in our hot and vigorous shower and lounging in our spacious, quiet room. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. The front desk staff helped us locate a tasty, inexpensive, authentic Mexican restaurant. We hit the jackpot!!!
BW Twin View Inn & Suites was conveniently located and was a clean, comfortable and pleasant motel with a pleasant, very helpful staff. They recommended a wonderful Mexican restaurant, El Zarape with tasty, authentic Mexican food. I'd recommend staying at this facility.
The only downside of our stay was that they had the TV station was Fox news (sic) in the breakfast room. We had to have the air conditioner on all night as the day temperature was 109F outside and did not cool much at night. Fortunately it was quiet and we were able to sleep soundly.
Very nice place. Manager is nice and good at his job. Friendly helpful staff. Room was quiet even close to freeway. This comment section requires too many words. It was a nice visit and the staff was great.
Breakfast was good. The doorknob covering was loose and the shower curtain seemed too short. Everything else was great. The staff was nice in the dining room and food was good. Nice to have a hot breakfast.
Our first stay in the Twin View location was a very good start. Easy and friendly check-in with fresh cookies as a welcoming gesture. Quiet rooms which is a definite plus compared to the hotels closer to Redding along the freeway. Will gladly stay there again.
Good people, but the property is threadbare. It was a full house for a July weekday night, but the staff pulled it off. The pool was comparatively undersized and getting the room temperature right was a challenge, but then it is Redding CA.
Good Hotel. Nice location on I5. Near to Shasta Dam, Sun dial Bridge and Shasta Caverns. Good Breakfast. Rooms are clean and big. Staff is friendly. One observation, I saw Some guests are taking Pets to breakfast area near food, that should be controlled by hotel staff. Pets should be kept distance away from the food which is common and will be consumed by all the guests. If I am eating, I will not expect pets hairs in my food.
I was there because of an emergency and the staff on every level went over and beyond to help me and meet my needs. Along with that the motel lived up to standards of BW. was clean and comfortable. Easy on and off the freeway. I compliment there management and staff. I'll be back.
We had a great experience staying at this Best Western - easy access to I5 - received a great recommendation for dinner - it was very quiet - great breakfast with varying options - overall everything was wonderful
Nice BW to stop in for the night. Nice rooms, simple but clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Will stay again on my next work trip! Only complaint was the water pressure in the shower was low. Close to freeway access, but quiet during sleep time.
Compared to the Best Western Plus brand, these rooms are small and this property itself is unremarkable. But the staff here is exceptionally courteous and attentive to detail. Our room and the public areas were clean. The employees were polite and thoughtful.
We have stayed here before and chose to return for a quick overnight on a long drive. The staff is always kind and enthusiastic. We love the fresh cookies they put out at registration. The beds are always very comfortable and it is nice to have a hot breakfast included. ;0)
Lisa, I know I was a jerk face and I can't apologize enough. I spoke to the morning desk person and explained the situation and how great you were. Thank you so much for making the night better. Thank you for putting up with me and my crankiness. The hotel, staff and breakfast were all wonderful. I arrived very late and cranky but Lisa held it together and kept me in line. I appreciate people such as herself that try to go that extra bit to make us as comfortable as possible when living out of bags. Again, thank you and see you next year. :)
Awesome guest service. Overall a comfortable pleasant stay. Every request I put forward during the booking process was taken care in a most professional manner. I chose this property as this was more like a connecting point to multiple attractions i had planned for 5 days. And you can never go wrong with Best Western Hotels.
Good location for things to do. Hotel seems new, everything clean and neat. Nearby river swimming, water park, national lakes and mountains, fishing. We stopped overnight here on a trip from SF Bay Area to Portland Oregon for a conference, and stopped again overnight on our way home. Very friendly, courteous staff, free breakfast was good choices. fresh.
We were traveling with a large baseball team of teenage boys. The pool had recently been serviced and was closed upon check in. The staff was quick to check the pool and as soon as it was ready to use the boys jumped in. The team had pizza delivered to the hotel for dinner and were allowed to use the breakfast area to eat and hang out which was amazing. They serve fresh baked cookies in the lobby and the staff was constantly baking more for the boys which was super sweet. The breakfast was great! Cooked eggs, bacon, toast, muffins, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit. There was enough for 16 teenage boys, their families and all of the other guests without running out of food which was great. The only con was that each of the guest rooms I went into (4 including mine) all had a different smell. My room smelled strongly of mint, one smelled like pine sol. One of the families in our group asked to be moved to a different room due to the smell and the staff was super helpful and had them moved in minutes. The entire staff was amazing! The front desk attendants were all super helpful and funny. I will definitely stay here again.
A nice quiet place close to everything we wanted to do while visiting the area. Easy access to the interstate. Very clean and comfortable, great breakfast. Friendly staff. A great working air conditioner in the 112degree heat wave.
Not a bad hotel, clean and comfortable. Could be a bit cheaper: it is not new, sometimes did smell a bit funky, but everything in a room and around was in working order. Location is excellent- right next to freeway.
Stayed two nights for business. Staff was friendly, breakfast was good although the room a bit crowded. Bed was comfortable though the decor a bit dated. Liked that they had drinking water available in the breakfast room. Coffee and tea available all day and chocolate chip cookies in the late afternoon! The air conditioning didn't reach all the way to the elevators, so it was a bit warm on the hot days we stayed there.
The hotel looked to be quite new, the room was very nice and spacious, with a nice flat screen tv, a desk, and a love seat. The ac was very quiet and worked great, which is nice because it was extremely hot in Redding that day. The bathroom was nice and clean, too. i would recommend this hotel to my family and friends.
We stayed here some what because of the reviews for the area. The problem with a best western is since they are operated by different management ,you never no what you will get. I was very disappeared will the room as it had a very musty smell and I did not feel comfortable in the room . The front desk was very friendly which was a positive. The breakfast was the standard including cereal, instant oatmeal, fresh fruit, waffle maker, yogurt, breads ,eggs, etc. When I stay here again no.
I had a quick trip to Redding and this Best Western was a perfect location for me. It isn't reallly super close to shopping and restaurants, but is only about 10 minutes by car. Being off the beaten path makes it quiet and feels safe. Breakfast was good with a nice selection of items, attendant was busy making things fresh and helping with anything needed. The room was pefect, quiet, comfy bed and good internet .**
Once again Best Western took care of me in a friendly, professional manner. I look forward to my stays there, because I can count on the good quality and consistency that I always receive. I appreciate the fact that they are pet friendly....so does my dog, Toby, as well!!
We stayed for one night at this hotel which is conveniently located off the I5 but also well located to see Redding's attractions. Front desk staff very personable and helped with restaurant suggestions. Our room was a king which was a good size with a chair and ottoman, desk area with free WiFi, fridge and microwave.Bed was very comfortable and everything very clean and nicely decorated, other than the bathroom which had stained and peeling wallpaper. Hotel has an outdoor pool that is sunny in the morning and shaded in the afternoon which is a good thing because Redding is very hot. Although we were right off the freeway we did not hear any road noise inside. The complimentary breakfast was very good with waffle maker, items to make breakfast sandwiches, yoghurt, cereals, etc. all well stocked. A 5 minute drive away was Turtle Bay Exploration Park with the Sundial Bridge, a must do!
This Inn is very comfortable, friendly, and welcoming. It has very clean facilities and its location to the interstate is perfect. Although it is near the interstate, it is very quiet and you don't hear traffic noises
Front office was a trainee. Exhausted. Room started out to be ok. Then. Faucet was broken. Slow running drain. Looks like sheets were not fresh...no Clorox smell. Tub had grime. Won't stay here again.
Each time that I am in the Redding area, I stay at this Best Western and have been thoroughly pleased with service and accommodations. This experience was a little different as it was the first stay that I had with my newly adopted dog. I requested a "dog friendly" room when making the reservation. There is a slight pet fee included, but very reasonable. The room that I received, was very similar to other rooms during stays there, except the flooring is not carpeting. The employee, who checked me in, was one who I have seen several times and is outstanding. She has been there for about 24 years and seems very happy for this. She is most helpful and checked me both in and out. The room was close to the exit door so there was little walking down the halls with little chance for my little Toby to do any additional barking. The best part of all is the fact that the exterior lighting has been recently replaced. I mentioned to this employee how outstanding the exterior light is. I carried a flashlight, as I anticipated a need for it, but never needed it. We walked three times around the entire complex and never found a dark area. Breakfast was good as usual, with a great many items to choose from. The best part was that I was just down the hall from the breakfast room and went to pick-up a fresh cup of hot coffee at 6:30 a.m. Made the day just that much better.
The staff was very accommodating, the room was clean and comfortable, and so was the bed. Breakfast was really yummy, and very good selection. The only down sides were the size of the pool and that the AC wasn't on in the exercise room, so had a pretty sweaty workout. Overall, very nice and we would stay here again!
This hotel is a hidden diamond. The staff has always been friendly, courteous and professional each time I've stayed here. The rooms I've stayed in are clean, roomy and spacious. The internet works very well. Its right off the freeway and easy to get to places to eat or visit. Its not very far from the Sundial Bridge (a must see) or downtown Redding. If you go north on the 5, you're not too far away from Shasta Dam. The breakfast selections were fresh and included a nice assortment of fruit. The rates are very reasonable.
The staff was very helpful and friendly, the room clean, the beds comfy, the breakfast was great! We had a dog with us, and while there wasn't a fenced off dog area, there was plenty of areas around the hotel where we could take our labradoodle. We would stay here again, for sure.
The room was old and smelt like mold.. Things were broken and outdated. Not worth the money! The value was that of a Motel 6. I would never stay here again. There's much better out there for the price asked.
This is a great hotel that we have stayed at before. The staff is great -- they always greet me when I enter the lobby. the facilities, dining area and rooms are very clean. The hot breakfast is also very good. The hotel is close to a variety of restaurants and gas stations. I have eaten dinner out as well as having had it delivered to the room. Both options were very good. The A/C works very well and is reasonably quiet. The rooms have all the amenities one needs.
We drove in late. The folks at check in got us a better room for the same price close to our car which had to be unloaded. They brought the luggage cart to the door we needed to use. Great service! Room was fine- smelled of cleaning fluids. Breakfast was standard fare
Lisa, I know I was an a-hole and I can't apologize enough. :)
The staff are all great and can't help enough. When they recommend a restaurant they go ahead and print out the menu. The rooms are clean. The breakfast is very good. The in room coffee is perfect. In all these respects it neats tje four star hotel we came from in SF. So I think it's probably the definition of a good hotel in any class and recommend to anyone. The only claim I am not sure about is the manager claimed to have organised the perfect weather for us I think he had some help there.
Was traveling needed a room, this place is right off the freeway and has a very fabulous front desk person who helped me and made sure I had everything I needed ! Room was basic and comfortable, bathroom was clean. Breakfast was good, nice variety of foods.
I have tried multiple other hotels in this area and there are many good ones. This one is my favorite though, primarily because of the quality of the beds (a good night's sleep is so important!) and the knowledgeable friendliness of the staff. I, also, appreciate the well stocked breakfast that is available with the stays here. My only qualm is the poor quality and unsecure wifi.
We had a very good experience at the hotel. However on the survey it is required, actually demanded that I write a paragraph about my stay. I can't submit my survey unless I do this part, which I really didn't want to do.
Our stay was simply wonderful. I've stayed in the downtown section previously on many occasions. This location was convient, quiet and centrally located to the scenic area surrounding Redding and Lake Shasta.
Nice hotel friendly staff everyone had a great attitude very clean hotel nice jacuzzi and swimming pool. The parking was easy and it very good lighting in the parking lot! I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel
My husband is a disabled Veteran and we routinely ask for first floor accomodations due to his limitations and prefer 2 queen beds which we requested. We received 1 King bed and when asked if they had the queen beds, were then moved to a second floor room down a long hallway without the help of a cart for our bags. Bathroom had mold around tub fixtures, wallpaper was peeling in bathroom.
A hotel that's very convenient and easy to get to from the freeway. The hotel is very dated, but signs of renewal can be seen. The bathroom in our room, definitely needed some deep cleaning. The grout and wallpaper were stained. But the newly remodeled sink area in the room was very nicely done and very cleaned. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast was probably one the best free breakfast is best I've had at a hotel. Including eggs sausage and bacon. The beds are very comfortable, clean and the bright white sheets and comforter were very nice. The price we paid for the room was $114 for the night. So overall good value for the money.
Very close to I-5, yet quiet. Nice, clean room, great staff. Close to food and shopping. Nice outdoor pool and jetted spa. Breakfast was warm and tasty with a good selection. The beds were comfortable. The one negative is that the closest ice machine had no ice.
Felt the room needed improvement with electrical outlets, but a comfortable room. The breakfast was good with bacon, sausage and eggs offered along with other selections. We would probably stay there again if we were in the area.
I arrived at this location to find lots of noise from a school group that was staying on a Saturday night. (I thought school was Monday to Friday?) Anyway, I requested a room where it was quiet but when I went to my room the walls were so thin that I could hear the conversation of several teenage girls in the next room. I was upgraded to a suite so this worked out in the end. When I went to breakfast the next morning, I asked for a lid for the cup I had in my hand. The breakfast attendant did not understand English so consequently, I dumped the water in my cup out and left without my covered cup of water. I will consider staying across the street at Choice Hotels in the future when traveling through this area.
Always a pleasure to stay here, the staff is always so friendly and make us feel like we are at home, Been staying here regularly for a few years now and have absolutely no complaints, very well kept and clean!!!
We arrived on a rainy evening, cold & tired. The wonderful young woman at the desk, found us a nice room and recommended Dill's Deli for great takeout. In the morning, I tripped over my suitcase and took a nasty tumble (NO fault of hotel). My sister, the other guests, plus the front staff young woman, were wonderful. Stood by & helped me assess my injuries, supplied ice, enough to last the rest of our drive, and helped me walk to the front door, where my sister had moved the car, so I wouldn't have to walk in the rain. There is always something to be grateful for. It was the people here!
I have been staying at Best Westerns for a few years now and have never been disappointed. I plan on continuing to use them for my travels out of town. They are very pet friendly and accomodating. The In house breakfast is an excellent feature and a great way to start the day.
My recent stay at Best Western hotel was comfortable. The rooms were clean and I looked forward to the breakfast bar every morning. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They were ready to help with anything that I needed. I will definitely be staying there again.
Very nice place to stay. Convenient location easy on and off from the freeway Very pleasant and friendly employees. Breakfast area very nice and the food was made with pride Convenient side doors for easy access if staying on the first floor
Always a friendly, clean, comfortable place with great working amenities and a great breakfast buffet. We stay here around four times a year for both business and pleasure. Its a great location with easy access to the city and great out doors. Love the view of Mt Shasta .
This was a pleasant facility. It was clean and comfortable, but there wasn't anything particularly outstanding about it. It is close to the freeway, but it didn't disturb us. We would stay here again.
We were enroute to our winter home and booked into this hotel. The front desk staff was most welcoming and check-in was prompt. We were given a brief overview of the facility including the availability of freshly baked cookies in the lobby. Our room was more than adequate and amenities were what we would expect in a Best Western Plus. We did have a small concern as we could hear bells ringing and were quite sure that this was not normal. We contacted the front desk and two to three minutes later the bells stopped ringing. About an hour later we received a call from the front desk asking if the problem had been corrected and if there was anything l that they could do to make our stay more comfortable. The breakfast was available early and that was good for us as we wanted to get on the road quickly. Everything was as it should be. Check-out was quick and we would certainly stay at this hotel again in future.
The staff was friendly, helpful, and gave excellent customer service!!! I would highly recommended this hotel!!! Rooms were clean, nice sized, comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. Really good breakfast bar too.
We alway stay here when we come to Redding-it's our overnight stop on the way to the Bay area. There are good restaurants close by, and its very easy to get on and off the freeway. it's well lit, feels very safe, and is not too noisy. It also has an elevator- a plus as my husband is quite elderly.
i hve stayed here several times in the past 5 years. the staff is freindly and professional. the rooms are clean odor free and compfortable, the pillowsare wy to soft for me but ,that is really a minor thing. they need to put other beverage packets in the rooms for those that do not drink coffee. otherwise it is the only place to stay in redding.
The staff greeted us with a very cheerful attitude. The room was comfortable. The food was average although I thought my breakfast was great. I used the granola for the waffles as my cereal and loved it. The make you own waffles were good. Didn't try any of the other hot food but it didn't look all that great. What do you expect for an inexpensive room?
Usual BW amenities, clean room, good bed. Breakfast OK but not exceptional. Easy access from I5. Note - no adjacent restaurants or grocery stores, had to drive a mile or so. Pleasant and efficient staff. Weather was terrible so didn't use the outdoor pool or hot tub, which I wanted after a long drive. So overall an adequate overnight stop.
This is an older property. The staff do their best to keep it functional and presentable, but it is really old and was not built for upscale trade. We had a nasty locker room smell in our room that you don't expect at a hotel in this price range. I'm not exactly sure how this place is rated as a Best Western Plus. It doesn't seem to fit that label.
On a recent road trip from southern California to Crater Lake, we chose the Best Western Plus twin View Inn and Suites. We knew we'd arrive late and leave in the morning, so it was simply a place to sleep, and get an included hot breakfast. The room was fine, with a microwave and fridge, and indoor hallways which do tend to be quieter. The bed was comfortable, which is important to us. Even though we had a late check in, the person on duty was friendly and helpful. However, the below average included breakfast was disappointing, especially for a Best Western Plus, which is supposed to be an improvement on a Best Western. The breakfast was hot, but the eggs were terrible, rubbery, hard-cooked rounds like McDonald's uses on an Egg McMuffin. There were no potatoes or breakfast meats, only toast/bagel choices, and tasteless pastries. Too bad, because it was a comfortable bed.
We stayed at the Best Western Plus Twin View Inn & Suites the first weekend in October 2016. We primarily choose the hotel based on price. It's not the newest property in the area but we found the room and property fine for our overnight stay. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the staff was friendly. The front desk did a great job checking us in and the staff at breakfast were friendly and efficient. They kept breakfast coming up to the time they end service. Breakfast was toast and muffins, eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, waffles, coffee and juice. We would stay here again with the right price.
Wasn't completely satisfied. Usually stay at the Hampton in town, but short notice for work left my options limited. Nothing terrible just horribly average place. Very clean, but aside from that nothing else to boast about.
Room was kinda expensive average $120.00 a night for what I would consider a above average but not really nice room, breakfast was just ok, waffles, cereal, microwave eggs, bacon and saugage, milk and juice.
We just need a place to stay for one night as the family gathered to go house-boating on Lake Shasta the next day. This facility turned out to be a delight. Clean, comfortable and the rooms were like suites in some other facilities. Staff was friendly, helpful and professional. Nice pool, nice workout room, good internet. Good location just off Hiway 5 and lots of places to eat nearby. Next time we are in or passing thru Redding, we will be back
Stay here everytime I go through N Cal. Easy access off I5, nearby gas and quick drive into Redding for good food. No food within walking distance, buy who walks there anyway? Staff consistently friendly and can recommend good food choices. Comfortable, clean rooms. Typical Best Western, no better, no worse. On my Best Western favorites list.
This Hotel is great looking and new, with a good breakfast. the hotel room just needs a bit of attention in the venting of the shower steam in the rooms bathroom. The hotel room was very new, but the venting/fan on the bathroom was not evacuating the steam from the shower and this was evident by the Mold forming in the bathroom. we got in around 9:30 P.M. and the bathroom was still steamed up from the prior guests?? I think if they just put a higher C.F.M. fan it would be great and the mold would not form.
This motel is pet friendly, which we appreciate. It would be nice if it had a place to walk the dog, but you can't have everything, right?! Front desk receptionist is great. Bathroom in room we stayed in needs a good cleaning and sanitizing! Beds were okay. Price was good.
First off, when we checked in and throughout our stay until we checked out, the hotel staff seem very friendly. During breakfast, they kept re-filling the hot breakfast items even until 5 min before it was scheduled to end. The room was nice and spacious but the furniture and decor looked a bit outdated. Plus, one of the main recessed lights kept flickering on and off. It was quite annoying. The pool didn't look inviting. It seemed small and could only fit a few people in it. Had better expectations for what a "Plus"-hotel looked like. Don't want to see what their regular hotels look like if this is what they call their more premium offers.
Stayed one night. It was easy to get to from I-5. Check in was easy and they have a friendly staff, Small pool and smaller spa (crowded) shows age. Ok breakfast (waffles, bacon, sausage, eggs (sort of poached), yogurt, cereal, fruit, coffee, juice... Stayed on 1st floor. Noise from upstairs hallway and room was loud. Not on par with other Best Westerns.
It sufficed for a night of rest. The room was clean and comfortable, and the overall surroundings were decent. However, the staff were either distracted or disinterested, and the breakfast left us hurrying to the nearest Starbuck's.
Easy to get to from I5 or 299, clean, friendly staff, quiet at night, decent breakfast (waffles, bacon, sausage, eggs, yogurt, cereal, coffee, juice, etc) and the jet tub in our room was really nice!! Also, the a/c worked great, which is really important when it's 104.
Staff were delightful and professional, room was clean and comfortable, breakfast had variety and good, fitness room was excellent. Overall, I would rate this hotel a five star and the rates are good too. Only drawback is its three miles from Redding but just a minor inconvenience but close to the tourist sights.
This was one of the most enjoyable hotel experiences I've had anywhere I've stayed in the world. The Front Desk manager was extremely pleasant, and most helpful. She also gave great advise regarding finding a decent place for dinner. The room was great. The rest was wonderful as well. Loved it all! I will recommend it to others.
We stayed for one night on our way to San Fran. We paid 110 00 including tax. We Were on The 1st floor And The hotel Was Very Clean and like new. It smelled fresh and the room was a great size. It was a quiet stay and the staff very nice.
This motel was clean and the employees were friendly. They had a good breakfast which included bacon, sausage patties, eggs, cereal, and fresh fruit. The air conditioner worked well which was awesome since it was 101 degrees. It's located on the north end of town so it's a couple of miles away from the main part of town, but it's also quiet. I recommend this motel to people who are traveling through the Redding, CA area.
I stay here for work, the Hotel has recently been remodeled, arrived at 8pm, the front desk lady was very nice and friendly, the rooms were comfortable and clean , the breakfast was good. The only complaint I have is there was a cleaning solution smell around the breakfast area, like pinesole, ruined my breakfast, otherwise recommend.
Hotel is right off exit 1 for I-40. Close to several food choices. Gentleman at front desk was very friendly and helpful when I realized we had lost the card we used to book the room, switched payment method without a problem. The room was clean and had a nice shower. Only complaint is that the bed was a little hard, would stay here again if need be.
This is our first stay at this BW and we plan on staying here again whenever we need to night over in Redding. Found the BW clean and neat, room very comfortable. Only issue was that there's only a Deli nearby (walking distance), otherwise you have to drive to get a meal.
What great service, management has done a great job of team building. They treated us like guests, better than family. Smiling, inviting us in, thanking us for staying with them. Inviting us back! While easy to access I-5, you don't feel like your next to an interstate. The pool, and hot tub, are quiet oasis away from it all. Housecleaning staff are excellent, our room was ready and inviting. The furniture arrangement gives a feeling of openness, light and fresh. You want to stay here when you are near Redding!
My husband and I stayed at Best Western in Redding California, both of us within an an hour after eating breakfast were nauseous. My husband ended up sick the entire first full day there I was OK after a few hours. Then after eating the breakfast the second and final day we both did not feel well. I have now been sick for 4 days. Saw my Dr. today he called it travelers diarrhea. What we ate at the hotel was the only thing we ate the same during our trip. We have ALWAYS stayed at Best Western and will continue however a bit concerned now about ever eating breakfast again.
Let me start with the price was awesome for the room we got. The staff were very friendly and helpful with all questions! Our room was cool, clean, and quiet. I would stay here again in a second! Wish we would of made a whole weekend of it instead of just an overnight.
We had not stayed at this Best Western Before, and found it a perfect stop in /Redding as part of our over night stays on a long road trip. the staff were rally professional and helpful. the property is clean , neat and secure.
The front desk, from the owner Mr. Patel to D and Sam, greet you in a way that welcomes you home. The hotel is literally right off I-5, but at this part of northern Cali, there is light traffic and you don't hear the highway. The housekeeping crew are all smiles and ask how they can help you without prompting. We felt pampered and stayed two days instead of one! The breakfast had real eggs, what a break from powdered or reconstituted eggs elsewhere. The staff working the breakfast area are super attentive, just ask if you don't see what you want. The pool and hot tub were a great hideaway for aour tired aching bodies. Towels were delivered to us! Close shopping center. Thai Cafe delivers great food, good prices and quick delivery, look for it in the Entree Express guide! Give them 5 stars.
Overnight stay on a road trip. Worked out great. Comfortable room, bed. Clean. Fitness room. Adequate breakfast. Saw it had a laundry - didn't need it, but really convenient if you do. Good ice machine. Great value. Would stay there again if in the area.
Stayed at hotel one night with two adults and four children. Hotel room was comfortable. Children loved the outdoor pool. Mother and children utilized the workout room. Nice facility. Breakfast was good. Coffee was weak, needed to be stronger. Staff friendly and approachable.
This place is convenient and close to attractions Good breakfast options. Do not expect free internet to work. they use sub standard HP product it had consistent problems all my stay which were not fixable. Internet did not work at all
For a crappy area this hotel is over priced for the rooms it has to offer. Think twice there are other hotels near by and that's what we're going to look into next time we go this way. We stay in Best Westerns all over and most of them are wonderful but this one is not.
Very clean and quiet rooms. We were able to bring our dog with us. Room was so clean you couldn't tell pets had been there before us. There was a sparkling clean pool. The breakfast was good. Lots of options to eat.
i've stayed here on business trips approximately 40-50 times the last 5 years and have gotten to know Peter the owner and he is the real deal - very much hands-on and all his staff are friendly and professional... one block off I-5 in north Reddin, good food at a cafe a block away and lots of good restaurants a couple miles away in downtown Redding... clean, comfortable rooms and nice pool/hot-tub area... the only complaint i have is while channel-surfing on their Direct TV - when you get to the 50 or so pay-TV movie channels, the channels freeze for about 4 or 5 seconds on each channel as it gets the info, but if you manually enter a channel past the pay-channel section then it speeds back up to changing channels as fast as you click the channel button on the remote... nice hotel, nice staff, fitness-center high-speed internet and pet-friendly too...
We have stayed at this property before and have never had any problems - from room amenities to cleanliness. And no carpeting in the pet friendly room! What a nice change.Emily, at the front desk was very friendly from our first phone call to arriving and check in. Easy freeway access but not noisy in the room. We recommend this hotel.
Our room was nice. It had a fridge and microwave. The shower-head was good. Our kids enjoyed swimming in the pool. Breakfast was good; it had mini-omelettes, bacon, sausage, and many healthier options. As a bonus, the full cost of our stay was covered using rewards points.
Drove 14 straight hours from Phoenix to Redding. NEEDED comfort and a friendly face. This BW was clean and Denise at the front desk was friendly. Walked into a room that already had the air conditioning on. That was a treat! Spacious, clean, and bed and pillows so comfortable, it was hard to get up the next morning! Breakfast, while a hotel breakfast, was extremely varied, hot, and plentiful. Will keep this place in mind for future travels.
13 kids and 9 adults in one place was hard to find but well worth the trip from Texas, San Diego, and Oregon. I had arranged for certain families to be together but didn't end up that way. It worked out with Grandparents room by pool, so at end was a good thing. Loved the kitchen in the suite and one bed separate from the other 2 ... awesome with kids. Laundry was a good idea with that many small kids. ONLY thing we didn't like was not having a breakfast included. Great time had by all. Thank you
The rooms were clean, close to outdoor exit, very pet friendly. We even took or pet with us to breakfast. Staff was warm and welcoming. Location is north of Redding, near hey 44. Don't miss seeing the sundial!!!
Stayed for one night on drive north. Good size family suite close to interstate with bedroom closed off main beds/ living area. A little dated inside but clean and comfortable room which we booked last minute. Breakfast, pool and laundry all were fine.
One of the best motels I have stayed at. The staff really cares about you and your stay. Beds were clean and comfortable. Rooms are great and quiet. The pool was clean and the breakfast was nice too..
We stayed here to sleep before heading further North. Everything was just fine for that. The breakfast was fine. The room had a stale smell, couldn't decide if it was Aqua Net or cigarettes, but we got use to it.
It was Memorial day weekend, so we were lucky to have a room on our trip from San Francisco to Portland. We didn't want to drive the whole trip in one day. The beds were very comfortable, we are a family of 4, so the double queen was perfect. Room was quiet. The staff was very accomodating upon our arrival (later than planned due to traffic) It was great to have breakfast so we could then be on our way to Portland!
Nice, clean hotel. Nice staff. Beds are comfortable. Wifi can be slow in the morning. Breakfast was good. The muffins were great. The shower pressure was not good. The bathrooms need updating. It felt like a hospital bathroom.
Very clean and comfortable room. Plenty of parking (we were pulling a U-Haul). The internet didn't work at first and I had to call the front desk. They reset the system and then it worked. Great breakfast with lots of variety. Good location, right off the freeway.
We appreciated the great service at check-in after a long road trip. The room was very comfortable and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located just off I-5 at the north end of Redding and worked out great for our visit. The free breakfast was nice, although not quite as great as some other Best Westerns. I'd definitely recommend the hotel.
Hotel was in good location near I-5 and it was very quiet. However, restaurants were another exit down the freeway. To get to our room, we had to follow a rabbit maze to another wing ot the building. Room was comfortable and clean. Wi-fi connection was spotty. Breakfast was decent. Average stay.
A great place to stay, feeling safe and cared for by a staff with integrity. Bathroom was scrupulously clean. It is advantageous to have a continental breakfast option available. All staff was knowledgable about the local area and how to find the locations we wished to pursue.
This was our first stop on our way to Los Angeles from Seattle. After a long day of driving, it was so nice to sleep in a comfortable bed in a nice room. We asked about the best place to have dinner and were given the names of several different restaurants along with directions. The people at Best Western are always the most accommodating, which is one of the reasons that we always try to stay at Best Western .
beds are okay,, not the best. breakfast was good. coffee was good. disability room should have walk in shower, not a step in. There was barely enough room for a wheelchair to pass between the foot of the beds and the cabinets. If this is a disability room, then there should be room for a wheelchair to slide under the sink counter and the sink faucet and faucet handles should be easier to reach if a disabled person is in a wheelchair.
I am a rewards member which helped to make this a quick choice passing through town. The lobby and staff are nice. Cookies was a nice touch at registration. Breakfast was better than most with hot eggs and sausage along with the usual. So far, very nice. But the room was facing the freeway. So running the fan at night helped to cover the noise. The fan in the bath sounded like bad brakes on a car and was so annoying it could not be used. The toilet handle was loose and needed repair. Intended to stay two nights but moved on after one.
Nice hotel with all that you would expect from a BW Plus hotel. Check in and out was quick and efficient even though we didn't have reservations. Everything was clean in the lobby, hallways and the room. High end linens and furnishings in the very large King 'business' bed room. Frig, micro, coffee maker and even a sink in a designated mini-kitchen area. Breakfast was okay; The layout was tight so with the make your own waffles area messy with drippings it limited the counter area to use to prepare other items. So one person fixing 3 cups of coffee hogged the remaining area for an extended time preventing others from getting to the hot foods. Sausage and bacon remained but no eggs (or forks). Cereal, muffins, toast, coffee, juice etc. One attendant came in towards the end of the breakfast time and did replenish the forks. There was some sound transfer between our room and the one next door when several children were running from one end of their room to the other then banged on their door then running back the other way. It was 11 pm so I knocked on their door to remind them of the time and noise and the mother kindly stopped the playing then all was quiet. We stay at BW frequently when we travel as the uncertainty of what to expect is consistently good with very few deviations or surprises. This hotel was no exception and we would certainly stay there again.
The staff is really slow, the rooms are really small, and they don't keep the property amenities clean. Unless your really desperate for a hotel room I would not recommend staying at this property until they get their act together. This is by far the worst BW I have ever stayed at.
Have stayed at this hotel several times over the years, and this year all was as expected. Friendly helpful staff, clean rooms, and a good choice of breakfast items, both hot and cold. The only complaint that we had was the outdoor pool was not heated, and was freezing!!! It would have been nice to go for a swim after a long drive, but this was not to be. Overall very satisfied.
The check in service was average to poor. The variety of breakfast items was a bit lacking. The room , breakfast dinning area and hotel were all excellent as was the service at breakfast. This is a great place to stay when on I-5 headed in or out of California
price was good considering last minute on Saturday night without reservations - the breakfast bar was very good - with lots of different stuff - waffle maker and bacon and scramble eggs and other hot stuff -
we had a pleasant and comfortable stay. staff was courteous and helpful also accommodating. rooms spacy with accommodations. dlose to amenities and shopping we would stay there again. breakfast variety hot and good
For the purpose of us staying there, it was good. The room we stayed in did stink a little but we just opened the windows and aired it out. There was also a nice contiental breakfast that wasn't bad at all. But other than that it was a nice place to stay at.
AAA rate of $116.99 was about $60 too high. Room smelled musty and like old cigarette smoke; Room carpet filthy; Refrigerator not working, and I needed it - they offered to move us ro another room after we were settled; Soda machine bill acceptor not working.
Hotel's location is not walking distance to stores or restaurants, the plus side is that the area is quiet. Clean comfortable room, appears to have been recently updated. Good location next to I 5, breakfast was good with two types of meat.
Very friendly staff, very clean inside and out. Wonderful beds. Hardwood floor in room 204. Pet friendly. Very good deli close by. I won't stay anywhere else in Redding. Breakfast was good, the room was quiet.
We have stayed here on our way up to Washington and again now on our way back home in Southern California. The property is nice, rooms are decent....We have stayed in a room away from the freeway and are currently in a room facing the freeway, and the noise is not a problem. The wifi here is HORRIBLE. Both times we have stayed here and it is spotty....constantly goes out. Every time you want to get online you need to go back into your settings and connect the wifi....only for it to go out on you again and again. The breakfast is pretty decent, they have a variety of stuff. Would I stay here again? Probably, yes....I just wish the wifi was good....its really my only complaint.
We have stayed here multiple times since our daughter attends school in Redding. The motel is close to campus, but we enjoy staying here because the staff remembers us and that makes us feel like this place is a home away from home.
Front desk staff was very helpful and pleasant. We had a deal that if you stay at a Best Western for 2 nights you get $25 off your second night. We used it without a problem. Breakfast was great. It included waffles, eggs, bacon and sausage. Everything was exceptional and we're making Best Western our top hotel to stay at.
This was a handy place to stay if you are just passing through Redding. It is on the I-5 and next to an area where big trucks are in and out a lot, so it was pretty noisy all night long. Take earplugs. It was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was okay, nothing special.
I was traveling from Portland to Santa Cruz and this was a good stopping point. It was clean and safe although a bit north of the main Redding area so it was cheaper than places in town. But there were no close by places to eat. A few restaurants offer delivery but with minimums and delivery charges. I ordered pizza based on the staff's recommendation and it was the worst pizza I've ever had. Next time I would pick up food before I arrived at the hotel. Each room has a refrigerator and microwave. The room was very spacious and very clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Fresh baked cookies are put out around 6:30pm each evening. Breakfast was OK - again a no breakfast option would be good. The bagels and coffee were fine but I did not eat any eggs or other hot food as it looked like fast food quality. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it as a place to spend the night but not for "vacationing".
Beds were comfortable, rooms were updated and clean, kids weren't running thru the hallways, ice machine and elevators were away from rooms. The hotel overall was clean and updated. I sleep peacefully when I am in a clean not tacky room.
They need a new start/staff and proper management! Breakfast was terrible at best. Room keys didn't work and they accused my wife of getting them near other cards and de-magnetizing them! Had to go to the front desk 3 separate times to regain access to our room. Another guest was given access to our room while we were naked! this was wholly un-excusable !!!! Do I need to say more?
Just off the I5 and you wouldn't know it. Very sound proof. Clean. Good beds, friendly staff good breakfast. Coffee was good .... Free and available at 5:00 am Good value!!! What more do you need :) (This app bugs me because you need to write 200 characters.....so I'm filling up space ;)
My wife and I recently stayed three nights at this best Western and had a wonderful experience. Very friendly hotel staff, upon arrival we were upgraded to a Jacuzzi bath with no additional cost! This motel has a very cozy feeling it is if you were staying in a nice house. The continental breakfast was great it's actually a continental breakfast with hot items sausage bacon eggs as well as Belgian waffles pastries fruit and cereal. One minor request it would've been great to have Pete's or Starbucks coffee but their coffee was good and plenty of it!
My wife and I make the trip once a month so we can visit with her dad who is in a care home. We always stay at this property and have never been disappointed. On occasion my wife's Mom will come with us and the staff there goes out of their way to accommodate us and get us rooms that are either joining or on the same floor. Emily always has a smile on her face and is happy and cheerful.
We arrived at the best Western a bit tired with our dog after traveling many many hours. What a delight to be greeted by such a kind person at the front desk. Emily was one of the best examples of exemplary customer service we have encountered in a long time and we travel a lot. And it continued in the morning when we were greeted by D. She was truly kind and made us feel welcome and like family. We will definitely be back here again as we travel in California often! Thank you best Western for a lovely experience.
I Chose BW because of my good experiences with them in CA and AZ. Clean inside and out. Pleasant staff. Clean room. Decent price. Comfortable beds. Sufficient room in bathroom (I'm 6'5"). Breakfast was standard fair and was decent with good coffee and reasonable seating options, however I wasn't in there during the rush. They offered fresh baked cookies in the evenings. Plenty of parking. During my 2 night stay there was 'finish work' being done in the hallways which created some noise but there was room left by the work crews allowing us to pass with our luggage and since we weren't trying to sleep during the day it wasn't bothersome. The work crews cleaned up after themselves each day. My travel buddy and I used the fitness center and it was good for a good workout! Plenty of towels and water and a window to open. I recommend this property and would stay again.
A little out of town but close to I-5 and easy to get to. Friendly staff at checkin who helped us find the best way to a restaurant at rush hour. Clean room. Comfortable bed and a standard but ok breakfast. Easy checkout. What else could we ask for a stop on the road?
Twin View Inn is easy access, right of the freeway. The quality of the hotel is good and the pricing is competitive. The staff is helpful and courteous. A very comfortable and easy going feel to the place. If you are looking to make your next stay smooth and easy....this could be the place!
I stayed in this motel for 3 months for a temporary job in Redding. It was a good experience and the friendly, professional staff made the stay just that much easier and nicer. The room was upgraded with a love seat for my sitting pleasure. It was exceptional clean each day and the bed was comfortable. The area is a light industrial with some vehicle noise but still felt safe and cozy.
The hotel is not close to any good dining,,,,I should have done my homework..after driving all day the last thing I wanted was to drive further and not be able to enjoy a few alcoholic beverages. This was our second Best Western stay in consecutive nights. Once again we were greeted by a trainee...this is a plus rated establishment but way below the plus of our hotel in Salem....These Best Western ratings are all over the map...time to shop for another chain
If you want to a truly top shelf experience and to be treated like a guest-stop in at the Twin View Best Western-Peter and his staff are among the nicest people in the industry. They consistently deliver the very best of customer service and make you feel so welcome!
This seems to be a regular stop for us. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. The rooms are larger and comfortable. Be sure if they are not out to ask when the chocolate chip cookies will be ready. The hotel is quiet and restful after a long day driving.
Nice rooms good beds great people. A bit far from downtown , but that was fine with us. A bit of road noise but all the motels would be the same. Easy freeway access. The staff were great and very helpful.
Nice and clean, the hotel is close to the freeway and made it convenient to find it and easy to access the next morning to continue our journey after a good night's rest. The room was big, clean and the bed was very comfortable
Nice hotel, close to the highway. If you are bothered by road noise then do not take a room on the east side as that faces the I-5. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. There is not any quality restaurants in the nearby area. A short drive south on the I-5 and there is some very good ones on Hilltop.
we chose to stay the night at this best western on our drive down to Disneyland. From check in to check out the service we received was outstanding. Cheerful, helpful and very friendly staff. We enjoyed our first stay that we decided to stay another night on our drive back home. At check in Neesha made us feel welcomed and went above and beyond to make sure our room was comfortable. At check out we were helped by D, what an amazing lady. We have stayed at many different best western locations and never have we been treated as if we were family. I would definetly recommend this location to anyone looking for a place to stay in Redding, CA
Had originally planned to stay @BW Medford. Snow was predicted for the following day, so I changed to Redding BW. Check in was seamless and the overall experience was very good. Snow did fall on the road behind me so it proved t be a prudent move.
We arrived very late. The check in person seemed to be waiting for us. I would say just it was like I was visiting my Sister. She made us really feel like we were expected and gave us her own room. The meal in the was well stocked. There was a person in the meal room makig sure all our needs were ment. Since we arrived so late I was not able to use all the things they had avaible. Locaation was right on interstate five and easy to find.
this hotel takes care of me as if you were a family member. I stay here mostly for business. They know my likes and dislikes. they understand my needs. I always feel that they can call on me to help them as they always help me. We work together as a team when I am there. If you want a place that cares about your needs this is the one to go to. Neashea is a newest member of the team and she has already learned my needs
Unfortunately, we reserved rooms at this hotel for two separate nights on our trip to SoCal. We have a dog and this hotel is pet friendly. The room was musty and stank like wet dog both times. We mentioned it the first night, but no change. Service was polite, but I'd definitely avoid this hotel if you have a pet.
I highly recommend staying here for a overnight stay. Our room was clean, comfortable and very cozy. The staff was very helpful in explaining options for my wife and I for dinner choices. The easy access on and off I/5 is also an added bonus.
After staying in a brand new BW Plus in KS last week I was initially disappointed in this BW Plus and my impression was it was just another hotel. BUT as I extended my stay to a second stay there was several things to like about this place ... Good location to various places in the area, very friendly staff, above average breakfast and reasonably priced. I'd definitely stay here again when in the Redding area!
We enjoyed our stay and the warm welcome of the staff on a rainy day. They even had warm cookies available when we arrived. Location was convenient to the business area of Redding and out of the crowded area.
Friendly staff, great location, plenty of food and choice for breakfast. Outside pool and jacuzzi. Could have heated pool water. Having too write minimum of 200 characters to post this makes it too forced.
BW recently switched over to Direct TV in many of its hotels, which was a great move. Picture is great and many top rate channels are available, including the often hard to get TCM. (Listening, pricier "luxury" brands???) Good internet, ample breakfast, and a clean, well maintained property. Have stayed here before and will definitely stay here again.
A Caring Staff that was superlative in our time of need. When family emergencies happen it is nice to have people just go beyond to help. Highly recommend this BW for either business or pleasure stays.
Clean, organized, very friendly and professional staff, willing to make your stay the best possible. My deluxe room had a good bed with a sofa, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Within 5 minutes of downtown, in an light industrial area, but I felt safe coming and going. Has pool and hot tub but have not use either. Staying for a second month.
This best western is cheaper, cleaner, comfier, and friendlier than the hilltop inn. I would recommend this hotel over any others in the Redding area. I stay at many of the Redding hotels for business, but this is always my go to hotel.
A room was clean, comfortable and good sleep quality. A room was average, and had mini fridge and microwave. Staff was very helpful. Good complimentary breakfast. A little better than usually hotels have. The hotel is close to I5, but I didn't hear a noise. Next door is Comfort suites. That hotel more new and has better rooms. Because in Best Western Plus Twin View Inn & Suites staff is extremely friendly and helpful, I will continue to return to this property.
I feel that the Staff at this hotel treats me like family. Even Peter the Manager knows me by name. I recommend this hotel to everyone I talk with. The Best western is a place for work business and families to come and be taken care of. the Staff cares about everyone that walks thru their doors.
Since we had a good experience before at this hotel, we came back for a second visit. We were just as pleased the second time around as the first. Clean, comfortable and good sleep quality. We will continue to return to this property.
The hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful. Very good complimentary breakfast. The cost for pets is too high ($30 for 2 cats). There is only a deli near the hotel. One has to drive 4 exits on the freeway to have a choice of restaurants.
I was pleasantly surprised with this location. The bed was nice, nothing super but comfortable. They have Direct TV with a decent premium package. All in all, it was a good stay. They are remodeling the location so it was loud during the day. Breakfast was ok, nothing super but no to bad.
We stayed here and rented the connecting rooms. Rooms were average, clean, had mini fridge and microwave. Only concern security lock was broken at the top of our room door. Hotel was under construction. Good signage telling us how to find front desk. Evening desk lady was very kind and helpful! She was very nice every time I bothered her for something. Used hot tub it was nice, clean pool area everything worked. Breakfast was good.
Convenient location, immediately off I5 and close to grocery stores and restaurants. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Older property, but rooms ok - many have been remodeled with new carpeting and nice bedding. and breakfast good. A bit noisy but then most chain hotel properties are along I5. Highly recommend Bruciante for pizza dinner, caution, only open until 7pm.
we had an amazing stay with the girls staff is friendly and rooms are beautiful we stay here every year during football cheer leading season and we will come again next year the breakfast is awesome the kids really enjoy it and its nice to get a good breakfast in them before a full day at the games
I stay here once a week and the service and treatment are excellent. I feel as I am part of the family. They know me by name and welcome me. if a problem occurs the staff is fast to react and take care of everything.
Have stayed her several times before, but this year the lobby was being renovated, and access was from a side door. A minor inconvenience, but not a major problem. Front desk staff were excellent, and room was large and clean. There is no doubt that this hotel is starting to show its age, and updating is required. Breakfast was good, but not exceptional, and the noise from the renovations not intrusive since we were away from the hotel most of the work day. The pool, however was FREEZING!!!!!, and not as clean as it was before. The usual paper cups, and micro pillows were also a downside. Overall, we will probably stay there again. Noise from the road immediately behind the hotel was considerable, and continued most of the night.
The hotel is conveniently located off I5. the rooms were clean and of a good size. Breakfast was the standard BW choice. other reviews have said about the limited parking but this was okay during our stay in September. Only down side is the absence of anywhere to eat nearby. it entails a drive to find a restaurant not exactly what you want to do after a long days driving.
Made a prepaid (non-refundable) reservation or we probably would have gone someplace else. Convenient location. Under major renovations which we didn't know. Got our room, had to park a ways away. For the first time, we were charged a $100 deposit "in case we trashed the room". The young lady at the counter was obviously embarrassed about charging it, but the boss had"yelled at her earlier for not charging it to someone" the day before. I did find that rather insulting. (we are grandparents) The room was bare bones with older pergo flooring, no carpet at all. Decided that it was fine for one night. Went out to dinner (Nello's, wonderful!) and returned around 9. Went to sleep at eleven. Quiet. Woke at 3 in a panic because there was no power and the room was pitch black (I am claustrophobic). Power was out for 2 hours. Workers on the renovation started just after 7, a little early I thought. Breakfast was average for any hotel, staff was nice, friendly. I wouldn't return. Just did not seem to be the standard for a Best Western Plus. The one we stayed at in Oakland just a few nights before (also a Best Western Plus) was REALLY nice.
The only reason I gave this a 3 instead if a 4 is because of the mediocre breakfast and rode noise from the trucks. We got in late without a reservation and got a king suite since all the rest were taken. The room was clean and large. The bed was very comfortable. We had a good night sleep before driving another 10 hiurs.
We spend one night in BW on our trip to Mt. Shasta. The room was quite spacious, so that we did not have problems to place there pack'n'play and still have enough space around. The king bed was comfortable and the nice thing was relatively quiet AC, which was extremely important, as Redding was over 90'F. The hot (free) breakfast was standard, besides the regular carbs, they provided also a few things with protein, which we needed before hiking Mt. Shasta. Parking at night was a slight hassle, looks like the hotel was quite full during the Labor Day weekend.
We had a very nice and clean room. The room was quiet, had newer furniture and a large TV with HD channels. The AC unit was fairly new and a large table was available with plugs nearby. The bathroom is small with limited counter space. WIFI works good. There were only 2 towels in the bathroom. Breakfast was good and kept well stocked. Staff was very friendly. The outside construction near the main entrance requires the use of a side entrance but nothing else inside is affected. We'd stay here again.
We almost passed this hotel by due to current renovations. Lucky for us we stopped to check it out and discovered these reno's are only to the front entrance so there is no interference with guests. Our check in clerk (Erica, I think) was professional, polite and friendly. We had a small snafu with our room which she immediately addressed. Though this hotel sits right off the freeway, noise was not a problem for us. Great value, clean and comfortable.
We stayed at the Best Western Twin View motel in Redding, CA on a recent trip. The motel is so named because from Redding both Mt Shasta and Lassen Peak can be seen. However, when we were there the forest fire smoke hung thick over the valley so that neither could be seen. The BWTV was under a one week remodel of their front entry when we visited. We used Hotwire to make our reservation for our room. The BWTV hostess was apologetic that Hotwire had not warned clients of the remodel. However, all was well as we just needed to use a side door to access the motel office. The hostess was very friendly, and accommodated us to get the quietest room available. We used their small pool as the outside temperature that day was 106F. They also had a hot spa pool located on the pool deck. They serve a continental breakfast in the morning and chocolate chip cookies in the late afternoon. The breakfast consisted of the typical fare of most motels including waffles, bacon, and egg patty. The beds very clean and comfortable. The room was clean room and included a ~40" TV, microwave, and fridge. The AC was one of quietest I've found in a similarly priced hotel and it cooled the room from ~100F when we arrived down to 70F when we returned from dinner about 3 hours later. There is some freeway noise and the property is bounded on three sides by highway and streets. For hotels with too much noise for me, I use ear plugs as I did in the Best Western Twin View property. For me, the only drawback with this hotel was the highway noise which I was able to compensate for. Score 4.
While there was a remodel underway it did not take away from the quality or quietness of our room. The property is right off I-5 and within two blocks of the Harley dealer for all you HD riders. HOG has a deal with Best Western offering a great discount. While we usually mix it up hotel wise on our trips we stayed only at Best Western this time out.
Great place to stay. Easy freeway access to anywhere in town. Clean, Clean rooms. Our check in experience was the best ever, pleasant staff that made you feel welcome. Parking is ample and well lit. I don't think you will find a better hotel in Redding for the price.
Arrived at the hotel around 5??pm and parking lot was already 2/3 full. Room was clean but outside needs a little sprucing up. Breakfast ok, no complaints, it's free. Front desk clerk was polite but does not seem to be friendly. We will stay again in this hotel when time comes and also recommend to our friends.
