Room was dirty and needed renovations. Gave the same impression as a cheap motel. Avoid if you can. The lobby was clean and up to date but the room experience was just the opposite. My complaints fell on deaf ears. So disappointing for a Best Western hotel. Never again.
Great hotel, comfortable rooms, and a solid breakfast in an amazing location right off the I-5 freeway. Everything you need is in the same complex as the hotel: gas stations, convenience stores, Starbucks, plenty of food options, and even a tesla supercharger! We had rented a tesla for our west coast road trip, so staying here made our trip super convenient. Would definitely book here again.
We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Patterson. The front desk staff were friendly, breakfast was nice and warm, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Also, pet friendly with a clean gym and pool. The whole place was well managed and I would definitely come back.
I had a nice stay at this hotel. Staff was great, very friendly when we arrived. The location is convenient. The breakfast was good, with a decent variety of options, waffles were delicious. Overall, a comfortable and convenient place to stay. Next time we will try to stay longer to enjoy more of the amenities the hotel has to offer.
I recently stayed at the Best Western Villa Del Lago in Patterson and had the best time! The staff were professional and kind, always having a smile on their face. They answered all my questions about what to do in the area and were so helpful. The rooms were very clean, and everything was nice and quiet, and the bed was so comfortable making for a great night of sleep! Will definitely stay there in the future.
Decided to stay here on my way back from a date. It as on my way home from Big Sur, they had pretty comfy beds. My dog was welcome and she slept like a gem. My lady enjoyed herself and loved the breakfast. If you're passing by give it a shot the staff here is pretty nice.
Stayed here for a SCCA even, sports car Club of America. Really close to our venue and was glad they brought breakfast back. He property is emasculate and they do a great job taking care of everything. Customer service was great , had a monitor issue but the maintenance guy Aaron, was quick on his feet and addressed it right away. Thank you guys! Will be back for the next race! Save me some of that Bacon!
I was passing by to stay for a family trip. My cousin lives in Wesley but it's not a great place for hotels. Decided to stay here and Brandi was fantastic. She made sure my stay was very accommodating. Breakfast was great, hot eggs, bacon, there was waffles, cereal, and very good coffee. I recommend here. My wife doesn't drink coffee but they had tea so it was a good option.
Chair missing at the desk when I checked in, but later brought to room after it was reported. Room filled with gnats/fruit flies, and this was reported to front desk. Also breakfast bar in the morning was very disappointing and the coffee was cold.
This is a very nice and comfortable hotel. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and it's located right off the highway which makes it very convenient. Currently they are not serving breakfast, which is a bummer. The water pressure in our bathroom wasn't great but it wasn't the worst either. So all in all, a great place to crash for the night on a road trip.
The best price in the area. Breakfast is in a bag. I don't need much anyway. They accept pets, large open area to walk the dog. Clean and caring staff. Tesla charging on site. The folks at the front desk were polite and attentive. They were very informative about where everything was and where to go and eat. They were doing grab and go bags but the Denny's across the street served a great breakfast for minimal cost. The pet area was well defined too. Pool and hot tub worked and was great after driving for 7 hours.
Hotel needs major renovating! Updated lobby is misleading. Curtains in our room were torn multiple places and most outlets were unusable (wouldn't hold plug) or unreachable (behind nightstands). Pool was filthy! “Breakfast included” was also misleading (ended up being a grab & go bag).
The room/bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean. The only complaint was that the kitchen was "down" and they only had a to-go bag for breakfast and it sounded like the kitchen would be down for some time.
This was my second stay at this hotel in a year. I had forgotten they did not offer a complimentary breakfast, and haven't in over four years. There was no desk chair in the room, and I was told that most of their rooms do not have chairs. There is no convenient plug-in for recharging devices. The hotel looks tired and worn out and could use a cosmetic overhaul. The toilet leaked, the wall in the shower was cracked, and the bathtub had been patched and painted. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet (except for the barking dog across the hall, although he didn't bark very long). If you overlook the inconveniences, it was a comfortable stay. But when you are paying for a Best Western "PLUS" hotel, you expect to be able to have the "extras" that most PLUS hotels offer--this one did not. I would not stay here again.
i had the hotel booked for a week but only stayed for 1 night due to the fact i didnt like the hotel , they charged me for 2 nights and on top of that the front desk could not print me out a receipt of my stay for my company expenses ( i don't understand how hard it is to print a receipt ) and on top of that , they charged me for the entire stay that i had on file which i asked the front desk women if this would happened . she insure me that it would not but look here we are , now i need to call the office and figure this out which im sure will not be easy
Traveler beware! We've stayed at this location many times in the past, and always had a good experience. However, on this trip we found that the property has degraded dramatically. They no longer offer breakfast (previously a highlight), the room was dirty and smelled bad, the internet was spotty or non-existent, and to add insult to injury, there were no coffee cups in the room. The only positive was the front desk clerk. Definitely not up to the standard I expect at a Best Western. We won't be staying here again.
This hotel seems like Best Western has deserted it. No breakfast, couldn't get a print out as they have no printers that work and the worst wi-fi we've experienced on our 6 week trip. Tv is hooked up through wi-fi as well so freezes every few minutes. Bed was comfortable but heater was extremely noisy every time it came on.
Really bad experience , card was charged for the days I was not even there , front desk staff keeps promising that refund will be issued but nothing happened . Stay away from this place , save yourself future headaches .
This Best Western charges a higher price that most and provides no hot breakfast. There restaurant was also closed. This has been like this for over a year. Their price should be reduced. Bed linens were visibly dirty and shampoo dispenser was empty. Won't stay again.
This place is nice, easy access to the freeway and many food options within walking distance. Starbucks right across the parking lot opens at 5am for walk ins, 4:00am for drive thru. I would stay here again.
Very disappointed with this BW hotel as it is not up to standards. While the room appeared nice, I soon became creeped out after finding ants in the bathroom and a huge spider in the sink which left me unable to sleep. The ants were coming out of holes and cracks in the tile grout and this was on the second floor. The wifi code (written on the key card holder) said expired when I entered it several times, and the previous room # had been whited out. Tried to call the front desk but all I got was a fast busy signal. Hallway carpets very dirty, there was an odor by the drink machines on the second floor, and the restaurant is closed down so no complimentary breakfast. I was told they have "grab and go" bags but I didn't bother.
My first time stopping here. I travel between LA, Sacramento and SF many times a month. I will start staying here instead of going into Tracy or Livermore from now on The hotel is clean, quiet and the staff are very nice. There are good places to eat nearby. I would highly recommend this as a great place to stop and rest overnight. I will be staying here again.
Newer hotel that is already starting to show it's age. If you are expecting a hot breakfast, forget about it. You get a bag of "Grab and Go", which was really poor. Didn't even bother to eat it after seeing what was inside. Several fast food joints and a Dennys in the area, so plan on going there.
We drove to LA for family vacation last week! Patterson is always a stop for us because we have friends in town!!! It was such a nice visit! Hotel was nice and clean, staff so helpful and we love the grab and go bags, perfect for road trips
The hotel was great! The beds where comfortable My kids went swimming in the pool it was an all around great experience! They had a lot of grass area for my dogs to run around in and it was very clean! it's a nice little town there was a Starbucks across the street and it was very convenient
Easy to book over the phone, convenient location and super friendly staff! This is the place we always stay when visiting our best friends from out of town! Staff is always extremely helpful and lets us know where to go in town to find what we need.
The beds were amazing I got a great nights sleep, the pillows were fluffy and big. I'm very picky on my sleeping arrangements and this hotel exceeded my expectations. I felt well rested and ready to start my day. Thank You.
This hotel appearance is nice. We needed two rooms and both were spacious, comfortable, clean. Beds are comfortable, bathroom is large and roomy. Only con was not breakfast available. The location was very convenient. Would stay again.
This hotel needs an upgrade. No hot breakfast, room needs repairs. This should not be a Best Western, let alone a “Plus” I won't be stopping here again, and I travel thru here often. The front desk was nice enough, but if the inn was so vacant she should have put me in a better room
We stay here every time we travel from Oregon to Arizona. The staff is always friendly and the room is always clean and comfortable. It's convenient to food and gas and the rates are reasonable. If we have any issues they are promptly resolved.
The Best Western Villa del Lago exceeded all expectations. The hotel itself was lovely, clean and had the most comfortable and well- appointed rooms we've stayed in on this entire trip. The beds were the perfect blend of softness and support. We enjoyed our evening so much that we decided to stay an extra night. This hotel looks and feels like a 4 star. That's the simplest way to describe our experience.
1) Immediate smell of pot as we walked in the hallway of the non smoking facility. 2) Mattress sagged significantly. 3) Doors and walls were like paper. Could hear doors slamming and people talking in the hallway. 4)"Full Breakfast Included" was a grab and go back with muffin, fruit cup, juice and cheap granola bar.
We have stayed here several times in then past but won't again. The good: Bed was very comfortable and coffee machine in the lobby was very good. Front desk agent at check in was very nice. The bad: Towels were thin and one bath towel was not clean. Had two spots which I initially thought were stains but then realized were probably make up. Out of curiosity I did wash the areas with warm water and soap and they did wash out. Really grossed me out realizing all the towels were probably not very clean. One small bar of soap for the sink but no soap or body wash for the tub. Water literally had to run for five minutes before it got hot. Although they used to have a nice full breakfast, now it's boxed cold cereal, yogurt, prepackaged breakfast sandwiches and boxes of apple juice. No chairs or tables so we ate standing. We were told it was due to construction but none was evident.
Stayed here last year and everything was great so we arranged another stay in the way through this year. This year the breakfast left a lot to be desired. Just had jimmy dean ham and cheese sandwiches yogurt milk and cereal. Nothing compared to last year. Huge dining area was all locked up so there was no place to sit. No computers available at all. Also it took forever to get hot water going in the shower. The only good thing available was their Nescafé coffee machine which was great
The hotel room was small but comfortable and had all the amenities we had expected. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Only issue was that breakfast was supposed to be included but the kitchen was closed and the ‘grab and go' option wasn't available.
All good except for bathroom needing serious repair of tub and toilet seat and time to get back to full hot breakfast and open breakfast room again and dro Covid protocols. Beautiful lobby. All services including food ervices within walking distance.
I always stay here when traveling south on the 5! The convenience to food places and a feeling of safety in the area is a real plus. Very nice staff! For the price I think it is really a nice place to come and stay!
Nicest hotel in this Area. Very Clean. Comfortable n Very Quiet. Got a Good Night Sleep. No sound from other Guest Rooms. No Outside Noise Very Good Location away from traffic or Business. Nearby Places to Eat affordable n Enjoyable.
I stop there to rest before dealing with the heavy traffic of the LA area on the way to riverside county. I also stay there to rest going North after the LA traffic ordeal. I am a senior and am worn out by the time I get to Patterson.
Stopover for one night. Place is clean but needs serious care. Chair frayed, desk part broken. Sink in bathroom cracked along with a tile or two. stayed here a couple of years ago and the deteriorating is noticable.
Hotel on the I5 Corridor. Clean comfortable room. Clean bath. Thin towels. Crabby front desk person. Had to ask for water bottles. Hot breakfast closed. Unacceptable grab bag breakfast. I recommend you drive 10 more miles where staff treats you with kindness.
A refeshing oasis when traveling up I-5 when it is still 108 degrees after 5 pm. We opened the door to our room to find it COLD. It was nice to have the a/c set. Usually we have to run the a/c all night and it never quite cools off the room. Breakfast was a little off, though. All my husband wanted was an apple and a granola bar - none of either. No fruit, yogurt, pastries. Only bagel, 2 kinds of bread and a pancake maker. Gluten-free cereal but no milk. There were fixin's for an egg burrito plus sausage and good potatoes, but at 6 AM we were really just looking for a grab and go option. Overall, a nice place to stay.
The trees on the east side parking area will cover your car in tree sap!!! Our room was clean and the ac was on so the room was cool as it was hot that day. Over all the hotel was clean and fairly quiet.
I've been staying here for years now with the kids on a faux vacation here and there and we simply love to check in, get our favorite rooms and relax. It was touch and go for a little as some of the staff was questionable, however the management has fine tuned the roster and they are all MVP's. I must say, the two ladies that work the evening, one worse name was Alie, the other I do not know but seemed sooo sweet!!!
The breakfast was really good. It did not open until 6 but the lady working breakfast let us in early around 5:30 so we can get on the road. The sausage was real and the juice was real. Our room was very clean and we will be making this our stop on our way to Washington every year.
This a fantastic hotel. The hotel and rooms were clean and nice. There was a great hot breakfast and an excellent breakfast area. Hotel is also in a nice area close to restaurants, coffee shops and a gas station.
This BW Plus hotel had decent beds, towels and breakfast options. But, this BW hotel does not match the quality of most of the other Plus versions. The woodwork was banged up as well as as the doors. It looked like the bathroom lock set was replaced with a different sized set leaving an at least half inch unpainted ring around it. Caulking around the tub was a bad home fix-it job.
We stayed on the second floor, and the elevators were very convenient to use. Our check in went very smooth. The front desk even made sure the maids came by to deliver some bedspreads (the maids actually made the front desk aware, and took care of us). The hot breakfast was great - sausage, eggs, chorizo/eggs, coffee, fruit juices, pancakes, cereal, and bread items.
Booked because the website stated onsite restaurant and bar. Closed. Continental breakfast just OK. Please get some fruit. You live close to great farms and farm stands, what happened to farm to table. Run down. Excellent staff. They do the best they can with what they have to work with. Invest in your hotel. Pool very dirty and unkempt as garbage just piles up. Loud A/C. Elevators slow so get room on first floor. Have been here several times before and never this neglected. Will not stay again.
Affordable by today's standards and clean. Easy to get to with a ton of dining options right around the hotel. Perfect spot to get off the road and relax. We did not stay for breakfast but as we were leaving it was opening and it looked great! My wife said the coffee was great!
It's close to the freeway, restaurant's, gas and shopping. It's in a nice and safe area. Always served my family well here. I recommend this hotel with it's caring and friendly staff. Great clean rooms!
I've been coming here for years, mostly with my two little ones on “ faux vacations”. It's quiet and peaceful. There's a small town feel to it and not to much in the ways of interruptions and annoying guests. It's a hidden gem, almost literally, but that's not a bad thing as sometimes you just want to disappear.
Stayed here heading south and again heading north. Great room, comfortable bed, and good service. Buffet breakfast is back on. Eggs, tortillas, chorizo, pancakes and all of the normal breakfast offerings. The room as are clean. The coffee is good. What more can you ask for.
My room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a great breakfast available including a breakfast burrito bar with eggs, sausage and potatoes. There is even a conveyor belt pancake maker. Definitely started my day off right.
Clean and easy place to reach. No early check in, I believe they were fully booked. Breakfast is limited but ok. Especially for kids. The rooms were very clean, no issues there. Internet is spotty but ok for email.
I was driving down from Oregon through Patterson with my 6 year old daughter and we were ready for a break at this point in our trip so we stopped here. Let me start off on a positive note by saying the staff was lovely, amentities are there, and the place was very clean. Unfortunately the bed was incredibly stiff, making it hard to fall asleep and stay asleep. The prices were fair though. Honestly, I'm just hoping the grab-n-go breakfast will make up for the difficulty resting. All in all, given my reasoning for stopping (much needed rest/sleep), I'm sad to say I don't think I'll be stopping at best western anymore.
We had a clean and convenient room to the outdoors. There is a strip of green grass that accommodates the dog needs and easily accessible. The breakfast was great and close to our room on the first floor. When upstairs guests were noisy we were moved to another room by a very friendly desk staffer. We are definitely using this motel again.
Instead of drop;ping down to San Luis Obispo via I-5 we came down CA 33, stopping in Patterson for the night. wending our way through Patterson we finally found this Best Western located near I-5. What a very pleasant surprise! Upon entering the motel we received a very warm welcome and found our room to be nicely decorated, immaculately cleaned and ready for our use. The motel used high quality bedding and complimentary toiletries. The room was very quiet, the parking lot well lit and there was good food nearby. We would definitely stay here again.
This may be the best overnight accommodation we have had on our road trips between Canada and the Central Coast of California. Everything is done well and there are many food options within an easy walking distance. We will be back.
Although this is not a luxury hotel, it is ideal for any traveler. It is pet friendly and provides amenities such as wifi, a tv, microwave, refrigerator, iron, and dryer in every room. There's a fitness room and pool as well. It's in a prime location - directly off Hwy 5, near a gas station, plus a few dining options including a Starbucks. It's close to. Walmart too, in case you need to replenish supplies for your trip!
We've stayed at this Best Western twice now. We like this one because it's quiet, right off the freeway, has multiple fast food and sit down restaurant options, free breakfast, and a friendly and helpful staff.
Most Best Western Plus hotels that we stay at have a larger selection of hot breakfast items (eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, biscuits & gravy + pancakes. Disappointed that 2 of the mornings we were there there was only eggs, potatoes & tortillas...No meat? My husband is diabetic so he has to watch his carb intake. This left virtually nothing he could eat 2 of the 4 mornings. The other 2 mornings they had some sausage but no bacon. Disappointed with selection...ALL carbs, no protein except eggs Sink in room#107 barely drains. Plugged up, needs cleaning. Curtains were falling down on right side (missing Curtain holders?) Hot & cold water in sink is opposite of normal set up. Hot water is normally a turn to left, not right. Remote for TV also didn't work. Went to front desk for new batteries...but it still wouldn't work. Front Desk staff & security guard, Jacob were awesome. The first night we were there, there were people prowling in parking area & cars parked right up against/near our trailer...very suspicious. Jacob kept a close eye on our car & trailer + RV, so the prowlers didn't break in. Front Desk staff were courteous & very friendly + helpful (10 out of 10 rating for employees!)
Found a big cockroach in our room as soon as I opened the bathroom door. I got moved rooms and that room also had cockroaches. I was also woken in the middle of the night by someone trying to get in. When I opened the door to see what was going on the girl said they were given the key for my room but it wouldn't work. No wonder...
The only reason it's getting one circle is because the rooms are amazing. When we got the room online, the listing stated that it was one king bed, one queen bed, and one sofa bed. When we get to the room it's one king bed and the queen bed is the sofa bed. Okay fine, the kids can get on the big bed. We only got one blanket and two towels in the bathroom. I called down to the front desk and she has no towels and no extra blankets. She said it was because of a broken dryer and housekeeping. I had to send my husband to the Walmart to go buy an extra blanket for the kittens to use and some extra towels so we could take showers. I paid a total of $124 for the room which is a bargain, but there was false advertising as the room was advertised as 1 king, 1 queen and 1 sofa bed and the sheer lacking of any decent customer service. Saying "okay, sounds good" when I tell you I'll have to figure it out for myself isn't cool at all. I'm now out the cost of the room plus the $65 from Walmart for towels and a blanket. Not cool.
Excellent Hotel with great people. The room was clean and well equipped. The Staff were all helpful and friendly. The location just off Interstate 5 by multiple restaurants was excellent. The price was reasonable and the breakfast was very good.
corporate took away the hotels ability to redeem points. very difficult now to use your points for a free room. Its almost like they don't want you to use your points and do all they can to discourage it.
This is the second time in one week that we stayed at a BW+. I have now accepted the fact that the “plus” must mean older compared to just BW. We're were on the third floor. There were obvious signs of water leaks in the ceiling. The double pane window was so clouded and damaged that I thought one half of the window was frosted. I saw a cleaning brush and a Mr Clean eraser laying in the middle of the hallway the entire time we were there. The glass elevator passes by some decorative lamps that do not appear to have been dusted in months. The real kicker was that they have a sign posted in the room with prices that of everything that is so “popular” with their guests and the exorbitant cost of those items should you decide you must have them. Didn't notice till after we checked in that the alarm clock and ironing board were not in the room. I would suggest doing a walk through with a staff member prior to taking the room to ensure all items are accounted for. I don't care enough for the decor here to have it in my house. In fact I don't think I care enough to ever stay at this hotel again. A new Hampton Suites is just down the way that is amazing. That's where I will be next time we are passing through.
I have stayed here before, and was pleased. No more. Had one towel in bathroom. Internet was as slow as dial-up.(perhaps it was). Water was lukewarm. No breakfast, not because of Covid, but because of no supplies. Desk in room was broken. Weeds in parking lot. It appears as they are trying to save money.
on 9.18.21 I called at 11:18pm to check for room availability. My husband is deployed to monument wildfire and has been driving. He is getting so tired and need to get some sleep. The hotel has one room left and I asked to hold for 5 minutes so I can call him to see where he is located now. This way, I can book the hotel and he can get the rest for at least 4 hours and drive again to Hayfork, ca. She simply said NO! I would think 5 minutes hold is so much worth it to thank first responder who is going to give his service is a wonderful customer service complimentary. No humanity for someone who works at the front desk. Not only that, The hotel shows $115/night on 9/18 and I received $144/night. We are a Best Western member. And this is horrible!
I travel to Patterson often for dog competitions and I always stay at the Best Western. They are clean, friendly, and quiet. There is lots of grass for the dogs, and all of the staff are super friendly. Beds are good, rooms are spacious and they are in a great location. I seek out Best Westerns when I am travelling with the dogs and I have never been disappointed.
Great service rooms are great. Plenty of restaurants around the hotel for dinner and lunch!! Ashley the manager is always available if you have any issues. Mercedes at the the front counter is our contact, always courteous and helpful.
Clean rooms, great hotel. Corey - the desk reception clerk was more helpful and friendly than any reception clerk we've met before. Good prices. Close to I-5. We'll plan for this hotel next time! Con: Low water pressure
We will never stay at this motel again. We are members of Best Western Rewards and mostly stay at Best Western, we have had no issues with other Best Western on this trip or before. Rooms not up to standard, dirty halls, dog poop at the entrance to the hall, missing hair dryer.
We stayed at this hotel while traveling from Northern California to the Central Coast. The location is very good with lots of amenities close by. The staff were friendly and proficient. The room was a little dated, but very clean with a comfortable bed. The Grab and go breakfast was very poor. It only contained a chocolate muffin, granola bar, and a small water. Not something you would want to feed your kids! Overall it is safe and clean. I would stay here again traveling, but would plan on going out to breakfast. This is a pet friendly hotel which is a huge bonus for us.
Thank you for the early check in was very convenient enjoyed the room was very clean service was very dependable and polite area was perfect next to gas stations and few restaurants will be coming back next week for 6 days again thank you
Comfy beds. Room was Super clean. You know you made the right choice when you walk in. Parking was a snap. Reliable internet. Quiet. Great tv options. Well located. Safe area. Professional staff! Will stay again!
I booked a room for my wife and kids' return trip to Washington and apparently the room was clean and in order but after sitting on the beds for awhile the covers were pulled back and my wife found them infested with bedbugs. As a former employee of a pest control company I know how hard they are to get rid of and how fast they can spread, especially with sheets being used throughout all the rooms. So to remedy this the hotel just put them in a room farther down the hall. No complimentary stay or gift card, nothing. Bedbugs are extremely hard to get rid of and if they travel to my house from this hotel, they will be getting my bill. I haven't had an issues with Best Western until now but I will avoid them from now on.
One of the nicest Motel's my wife and I have ever stayed at. We don't travel a lot and when we do, we generally take the motor home. It was a pleasant surprise to find such a clean and well maintained facility right along the I-5 corridor. We had a long day and this made for an excellent stay over on our way home. The staff were very polite and very helpful.
The room was nice. The lobby pleasing. The front desk staff friendly and efficient at check in. Around 11:00 p.m. the fire alarm(s) went off. People exited rooms and milled about. There was no smoke or visible fire. Found out is was a false alarm. The guy staying in the room next to mine was there with his family. He was staying several weeks while his nearby home was repaired/remodeled. He told me, "This is not the first time this has happened. Twice before in my stay it's happened." Around 5:00 a.m. the alarms went off again. I quickly checked outside the room -- another false alarm. We packed our bags and were out of there by 5:30. Needless to say, we had a lousy night's sleep. Would not recommend.
This hotel always has the best service, always has great rooms and a clean parking lot big deal to me. I've always liked Best Western hotel's for their good price for what you get, now when we get to have a real breakfast again I will be very happy.
The front desk person was the most helpful and pleasant we met on this trip but the grounds were dirty. The garbage cans were overflowing; there beer bottles etc. all over the lawns. Very disappointing. We would not recommend this location unless the property has been cleaned up.
Worth it. What a great service for Turlock. Safe and clean, better here then any others in area near my best friend homes see you next chance to catch my friend again. Thank you for service and helpful!
Travelling alone with my kiddos, this was a great place to stay. Room was so nice, everything was clean and all the rooms are accessed from inside the building. Gas and food close by with a reasonable rate.
While Patterson may not be on your travel radar, we always stay at this BW hotel on our way to Palm Springs. It's a reasonably priced, pet friendly hotel, modern, clean and a very friendly staff, they even have a welcome package for our dog. Lots of nearby restaurants and easy I5 access. We recommend BW Del Lago Inn.
My wife and I recently stayed here while attending a couple of Spartan Races. This is as close as you can get to the venue. It's a no frills but nice hotel. Nice parking, nice shower and bed. Everything you need for a restful stay.
The BW Plus Villa Del Lago was a convenient stop along I-5. The facilities are clean and well maintained. The bed was too soft and the pillows too small. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They surprised us with a Bag Breakfasts at checkout. Breakfast in the restaurant is not covered in the room rate but they do provide a $5 discount.
We just stayed at a Best Western Hotel in Patterson. We have never stayed in one before but needed to due to our business. We were extremely pleased and surprised how nice the hotel was. Very updated, clean, quiet and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The Restaurant was great excellent friendly service and the food was excellent. We are use to staying in higher priced hotels but actually found this one more comfortable and friendly. We will definitely stay in a Best Western Hotel again.
The hotel is clean, tidy and functional. Nothing fancy but serviceable. However I have serious concerns about the security. When I checked at 5pm there was a young woman just sitting at one of the guest computers in the lobby. I thought I it was odd as she wasn't using the computer and had a plastic shopping bag at her feet. It was pouring rain and I wondered if she was taking shelter from it. 9pm. I go to the front desk for change for the laundry and she's still there. Hmmm. 10pm. I go to the front desk AGAIN for more change and there's no receptionist and the young woman approached me for money. I asked what she was doing there and she said she had no place else to go! 11pm. I go to walk my dogs and I find the door to the outside is propped open with a rock. I called and reported both incidents but between a homeless woman in the lobby for hours and the door propped open to give whomever access, I spent an uncomfortable night.
It was basically an average hotel. The front desk check in people were very helpful, but the lady that checked me out, basically ignored me until I continued standing there. No hot breakfast, boo. Yes there was a restaurant and bar, but we wanted to get on the road. Overall rating, MEH! Wont stay there again.
We have stayed at this location and very pleased. Easy on, easy off the interstate. The rooms are good size. The staff is pet friendly. I still don't know why three ittle kids don't cost extra, but a small dog is charged extra?
This Best Western does not offer a complimentary breakfast. We miss that. The room was OK, but the bed was definitely dated. Its been awhile since I've slept on a spring bed and I boy I don't miss it. Staff is pleasant and courteous enough.
Laughing, screaming and music made it hard to fall asleep. Yes, I was tied and just wanted to sleep but the noise coming from the restaurant was excessive. Screaming laughing and music I thought the women must have had a stripper.
One of the best stops on a 2 week trip on the road. Easy access to freeway, variety of eateries, one of best BBQ located across parking lot, nearby. Great staff and willing to help. And, pet friendly hotel, who treat them like their clients.
We stay at Best Westerns all the time. We drive often down I 5 through California. I can't believe I didn't find this place sooner. The lobby and rooms are nicely decorated. There's a restaurant and lounge on site but is not open on Sunday or holidays, so plan accordingly. There is a pool and hot tub but we're closed for the season. I get the pool, it the hot tub? Really? It would have been nice if it was open. All in all it's a great place to stay.
This Best Western is clean, well run, good parking, close to the highway and restaurants, with great staff. The lobby and at least the room I stayed in, were very clean and modern. If you have to stay in the middle of nowhere, Patterson, CA., this Best Western is a great place to spend the night.
The hotel was beautifully set up in a very accessible location and comes complete with excellent service and amenities. The room was cozy and current to today's trends. Easily accessible to Crow's Landing.
This hotel is in a quit area and you feel safe mainly because of the security guard that they have. He is a big guy who seems to take his job seriously.Eating places only a few minutes drive away and a few right by the hotel. This hotel does not provide breakfast even though they have a restaurant. Why they don't offer a homemade breakfast to their patrons is a mystery to me and poor business. This hotel could be one of the best B.W.'s in the Pacific Northwest/ California regions by offering this option. Comfortable beds however, I do not know why many hotels along with this one have gone to small pillows and not the standard or queen size.
I arrived late, needed an accessible room, but couldn't get one, then through an arduous check in and bad directions from the front desk, I had a very difficult walk to the elevator and my room. Bummer
No free breakfast! First Best Western ever not to provide a free breakfast. Caution to families, bar was hosting a profanity laced Comedy Club at 830pm in the evening with dirty language, loud and obnoxious t hat could be heard throughout the hotel. We will never return.
This is a great place to stay. The staff is fantastic, the rooms and amenities are equal to the finest Best Western hotels we stayed at in Europe. It is a perfect place to stay on the route from SF to LA.
Good place. Restaurant inside as well as several places to eat nearby within close walking distance. Nice area. I've stayed here before and enjoyed it. Conveniently right off the freeway. I would definitely stay here again.
I stayed at this hotel as a stop on a long drive up central California on Interstate 5. It was not my destination. It is located on the freeway in Patterson Ca. I have traveled this route many times, and had never stayed here. This stop has everything one needs in the way of lodging, fuel, eats. The Best Western seemed like it was brand new. Not sure how old it is, but it was great. Clean, up to date, great staff, and they even gave me a breakfast snack bag with water. muffin, power bar on my morning departure. I used to stay down the road about 25 miles, but this will be my go-to place from now on.
We plan on staying here when in the area. It is beautiful! The restaurant was very nice, some entrees not so great. Beware of $14.99 charge for the privilege of making online reservations. The rooms are large and comfortable, the decor in our room was pretty meager. Bedding and linens are great and they have real glasses! Wonderful.
We got a room here in a pinch and the staff were able to help us and get us a good price for the room. The room was clean and comfortable. Probably one of the best and more comfortable ones we have stayed in.
No cart around to help bring belongings in, was very tired, bathroom sink barely drained..icky backup of water, my bed was hard, could not get air/heat control to work properly and my phone had a short in the line, lost two phone calls
Overall little value for the price.A couple of lamps in the room did not work, nor did the "so called" alarm. Wifi was spotty Basically no amenities to justify the high cost Would not recommend at all
We had three friends stay in order to attend a 80th birthday and they were pleased with the accommodations. Best Western is great! The3 guests were very pleased with the location and the breakfast service, also very good due to the fact they had charging for their Volt.
Sometimes its hard to choose somewhere to stay when your traveling and you don't really know the area. This place is a great pit stop or for longer stays, too. Very clean.... pool and spa a nice bonus. There is a restaurant and bar inside, that's open for breakfast and dinner.
The rooms need to be renovated or updated. We were welcomed by a giant waterbug/roach as soon as we checked into the room. There was also another bug on the sofa chair and broken tile in the bathroom. The hotel lobby is nice and the restaurant looked nice too, but unfortunately the rooms dont match what you see when you first check in.
I was very happy with my overnight stay here. Very clean, quiet and friendly staff. There is a good choice of restaurants within walking distance and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again.
What a great place to stay. I travel with 2 small dogs and this hotel is surrounded by grass and trees. They gave me a small dog bowl and a whole roll of doggie bags upon my arrival. While the room was unnecessarily over deodorized, it was on the ground floor and they had upgraded my room. We had a king size bed, a couch, and a desk. Plenty of room for us. The employees were friendly and efficient. There was a restaurant at the hotel plus plenty of restaurant options within easy walking distance. The room was very quiet. Parking was available so that I could see my car right outside the window. I did have a problem connecting to the WiFi but the hotel staff remedied the problem immediately. Like so many other hotels, the A/C seemed to cut off at night so the room became stuffy. I adjusted it twice during the night but it was an annoyance having to get up and play with the controls when trying to sleep. Overall however, this is an excellent hotel to stay in. I would definitely consider returning here on my travels.
We arrived at 10pm and left at 9am so we didn't do much more than watch TV and go to sleep but I must say the beds were comfortable, the water hot, the room very quiet. Everything you would want your stay to be. Thank you Best Western!
The first thing I noticed was the overwhelming odor of carpet freshener or some other extremely odoriferous assault when first entering the room. I had to open the window to keep from gagging. I booked through priceline and paid in advance. Upon checking out I was charged again by the hotel in what is considered express checkout with out my consent. The woman I called was not able to comprehend my request to rectify my fraudulent charge. Most likely will chose another hotel in this area for a stopping off point.
The hotel is in a great location , minutes of the freeway and lots of food options. The building and grounds are not well taken care of. The rooms are supposed to be upgraded try telling that my sore back and tired son who could not get comfortable because the staff could not take to make sure the packaging on the mattress was not left on . Took 6 calls and best western to get the location to even say sorry and acknowledge the problem . Also read the rooms description they have many names for the rooms
Easy to get to from off highway. Not too busy around so the hotel is very quiet. Comfee beds. Big downside is there is no free breakfast offered. You would think that the hotel management would give you breakfast since they have a restaurant in the hotel that is never busy. A few fast food places and a decent restaurant across the road.
I have had great experiences at Best Westerns but this one was disappointing. The remote was out of batteries and we couldn't call the front desk because the phone was broken. The shower lost pressure in the first 2 minutes of my shower. There was only cold breakfast in a bag.
Great place for a layover on our way from Oregon to California—especially when the hot tub is available. Breakfast selections in the on-site restaurant are varied, tasty and service is always prompt and friendly.
We were a little disappointed by the facilities at the Best Western Villa Del Lago. I was surprised that breakfast was not included in the room rate and was very disappointed by the lack of shower water pressure and the hard water... it just seemed like the soap would not rinse off.
The restaurant was a disappointment. The chef is stated to have studied French and Italian cuisine which was barely noticed in the food.I've worked in a French restaurant and have eaten food by Italians that didn't speak English, hundreds of times.
Sack breakfast although advertised breakfast with pre packaged mushy muffin, apple and granola bar - moldy grout around bath tub, lights burned out. Front desk only had fast food recommendations for dinner. Totally disappointed in a Best Western Plus hotel - no plus only minus.
What a beautiful place to stay. We were greeted in a relaxed & friendly manner. Interior corridors. Very complete exercise facility. Outdoor pool, spa, steam room. They even have free electric car charging. Clean, quiet elevators to upper levels. Our room was fresh, clean, very well appointed with nice little "extras." We appreciated a QUIET place to stay after having stayed at some nightmare places. Restaurant/bar on the ground floor with excellent food, plenty of choices. The Villa Del Lago Inn was a really nice surprise after a long, boring drive north on I-5. We will definitely return any time we are traveling in the area. Highly recommended!
Great dog friendly suite and the restaurant in the hotel is awesome. Really happy to have found this place to stay in between Washington and California. The staff are professional and helpful. The room is quiet and large enough for us to relax. No smoking odor.
This is a "Best Western Plus" but unsure of why it merits a "plus"? Maybe the furniture and bigger screen TV? Or the upscale-looking restaurant in the lobby? Other than those features, it is comparable to other Best Westerns. Beds and room clean and comfy. The bathroom was actually quite small, though, and we were given only one each small bottles of shampoo/conditioner, not enough for the 3 of us. Also, there was no free hot breakfast offered, kind of disappointing. To replace that, they gave out "grab and go" bags with a bottled water, packaged muffin, Quaker granola bar, and a not-very-tasty mealy apple. So, luckily there is a Starbucks literally across the parking lot which we walked to and bought breakfast. Didn't feel like putting out what would have probably been a lot of money for something at the lobby restaurant and then have to sit around and wait to be served, etc. etc. But, the room was nice, quiet, we slept well and the wifi was fast, so it was a good stay for one night!
We spent New Years Eve at hotel to discover upon check in that the restaurant in the atrium had been booked by a private party that lasted from 9pm to 1 am....had we been notified prior to this we would never have stayed there. As the music level increased, we tried unsuccessfully to reach the front desk and customer relations to complain...no answer.
I always look forward to my stays at the Best Western Plus Villa Del Lago Inn. I do not enjoy having to be away from my home and family for work, but the staff here always makes me feel at home and takes such good care of me. They take the pain out of being away from home!
Our Thanksgiving holiday was so pleasant in part due to the staff at this Best Western. Each and everyone of them was so kind and professional. We will definitely stay here again! Thank you for helping us feel so at home while on the road.
A few years ago we had to stay near an SCCA weekend race. We discovered Best Western Villa Del Lago Inn in Patterson and have stayed there each time we pass thru the area. Patterson is a neat community with multiple amenities and the Best Western is lovely. A restaurant and bar, swimming pool and great staff helpful and courteous. Try it!
An updated review. People like Amanda at checkin makes this a hotel 5 star oasis in Patterson. If your needs aren't being met all you have to do is ask nicely and be patient because they will do what they can to help. Pros -great staff -always clean -cold a/c -pool -free wifi Cons -if you prefer it quieter ask to be down the hall.(rooms circle the atrium) -prices have gone up, but they are often sold out. -soap never seems to come off cleanly, idk it's the water.
All amenities were very good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very clean place and very comfortable. From the front desk to the lounge to the gym to the room, everything was very well taken care of and exceptionally clean.
Rooms are clean and spacious. TV was old and not HDTV very grainy. Bed sheets were clean but like they had just been pulled from the dryer all wrinkled. Hairdryer was old and had no speed took forever to dry. Front desk 10 out of 10 Great Ladies. Floors in the Hallway floors were filthy you could see foot prints and dirt. It is quiet at the location even though there is construction work outside the Hotel. Do not eat at the 2 Lions Chinese Restaurant nearly next door vile food I was up all night with an upset stomach.
My wife and I recently stayed at this hotel in Patterson when we were on our way up to the Sierra Mountains. We like to stay at Best Western Hotels because they are usually good hotels at a decent price. However, on this particular stay this was not the case. First of all, this hotel is a "Best Western Plus" hotel which in my mind means that it should be a little better than the regular Best Western hotels. I was wrong to think this because this room fell short of my expectations of higher quality. For example, the complimentary shampoo and conditioners that come with all hotel rooms was ridiculously small. It was barely enough for one person to shampoo and condition their hair. Also, the bathroom was very small. The toilet was literally right next to the sink area (which was also very small). One thing that was very disturbing was the fact that there were cockroaches everywhere on the sidewalks of the parking lot. I went out to my car at night to get something and as I was walking down the sidewalk a multitude of cockroaches were scurrying everywhere! They were very aggressive cockroaches too! Normally, cockroaches will scatter and hide when humans approach them but not theses ones! I had to avoid them as I was walking. I did not see any of them in the room but if they are that abundant in the parking lot then the chances are that they are in the room too (hiding). The owner of this hotel needs to hire a good exterminator to get rid of the cockroaches! This hotel was more expensive than the other comparable hotels in that area but no better in quality. Lets just say that this hotel was way overpriced for what we received.
We stayed at this hotel on our trip home from Washington state. It is what we could consider a normal Best Western facility with clean room, comfortable bed, and plenty of space. The one difference from other Best Westerns is that breakfast is not included. In lieu of that we were given the choice of paying for breakfast in the restaurant or talking a grab bag. We selected the latter, and each received a bottle of water, an apple, a granola bar, and a small muffin.
Friendly and inviting staff! Clean room and hotel! Ate at the pizza place across the street which was family friendly and good. It's not easy finding a place to stay south of Stockton, but this place is a winner!
We stayed at the Villa Del Lago Inn on a trip to northern CA. The room was very clean and the general property was excellent. The breakfast was not included, but was reasonably priced and the food was excellent. We would definitely stay here again if a trip puts us anywhere near here.
The good points about this hotel is the location. There are many nice restaurants/fast food locations within walking distance. There is also Del Lago shopping center with restaurant and great stores within walking distance. Hotel has a larger refrigerator with a nice freezer that accommodates 3 or 4 ice packs. Beds are a good height for accessible needs. Some insensitivity to accessible needs safety - no concern when I told them the toilet seat was too low - they just replied it is ada compliant and had no solutions or desire to find one. A to-go bag for breakfast only is included with this hotel - restaurant onsite offers 10% discount but still expensive for the stay. Some of the places in walking distance offer more reasonably priced breakfast.
We like to stay at Best Western hotels. They are clean, reasonable and friendly. This one is no exception. However they DO NOT have a free breakfast like most others do. You can get a discounted breakfast at the restaurant or a grab and go breakfast in a bag. Nice idea, but it consisted of a small bottle of water, a piece of dried up fruit and a crunchy granola bar. I suggest they give you a bag where you pick your own fruit out of a basket, choice of breakfast bar and water or juice. They used to have a regular breakfast, but have turned that area into a bar.
Clean, quiet, pet-friendly. A very nice place to stay while traveling. A beautiful area of California, A lovely motel with very clean rooms and professional staff. Many travel-related amenities conveniently located within walking distance of the facility.
Stayed here twice in the last year. Clean, comfortable and a wonderfully professional and courteous staff. Very quiet and spacious rooms. Great location near I-5 but far enough away to void the noise. Walking distance to a number of eating establishments. A big plus is a security guard that checks the building and the parking lot throughout the night. Just wish they would update the bathrooms.
This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel when traveling. We enjoyed our stay each time and will continue to stay at this hotel. Staff, cleanliness, and restaurant are very good. We would recommend this hotel to our friends.
My husband and I were recently on a road trip to northern California for a family event. We decided we would make it a leisurely trip so we stopped each night to rest. During our trip we stayed at several different hotels/motels. We noticed a huge difference when we stayed at the Best Western hotels. There really was no comparison to the cleanliness and service. The Best Western Plus Villa Del Lago Inn in Patterson, CA. was yet another step above. Our entire experience there was outstanding. We were impressed by the general atmosphere, the high quality of the rooms and the friendly, efficient personnel. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is traveling in that area.
The front desk and the restaurant staff (Crissy) were awesome! They were very attentive for a tired traveler. The room were clean and the beds were comfortable. The restaurant service was exellent. ...................................................................
We just left this hotel. All I can say is stay anywhere else. We travel a great deal and stay in hotels across the country and this is the only time I have ever given a hotel one star and I would give them 0 stars if I could.
Excellent service - we were on a road trip and stayed two Friday nights, two weeks apart. The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful. We left too early to eat breakfast but they had a breakfast brown bag that they gave us.
Everything was as good as advertised. Clean, pleasant and near quick food and beverage. Starbucks in parking lot is super nice. The band at the bar was a nice treat. the desk people were super. If my travels brought me back, I would choose this property.
Very helpful check in, clean comfortable rooms, restaurant in house and lots of eating options with in walking distance of the hotel. The pool and hot tub are outside and only open during the summers.
We were on a road trip from Phoenix to Portland, Oregon and decided to stop here for the night. It was a nice stay. Room was comfortable and clean. We had dinner in the restaurant — it was very good. The restaurant is not part of the hotel so guests get a 10% discount on meals. Breakfast is not provided with the room charge as in most Best Westerns, but a bag breakfast is offered for free. We had to leave before the restaurant opened so had breakfast somewhere else. It was a good hotel and we would stay there again. We enjoyed the restaurant, and staff members were very courteous and helpful. We appreciated the bottled water provided in the rooms, and they accommodated us with some extra pillows. Thanks!
When traveling by car, we start looking for lodging in the area we're likely to reach by around 7pm, then check the trip advisor reviews. Last night, the first hotel we checked had multiple complaints about the parking; the second had a reviewer who found a homeless man asleep in the elevator. This one had mostly good reviews, so we tried it; were not disappointed. We made reservations via the 800 number, and check in was friendly and seamless. We got a large smoke - free room on the third floor that was essentially sound proof. There were luggage carts that we could use to haul up our stuff in one go, and checkout wasn't until noon the next day (as opposed to 11 am). One disappointment was that, on Sunday nights, their on site restaurant was closed; we'd been looking forward to trying it. However, the very helpful check in clerk suggested 'Apricot Wood' less than a block away, and it was fantastic! (See my review). The rooms surround a center courtyard area (the restaurant) which reminds me of a higher end hotel, rather than a Best Western right off the highway. Once inside the conveniently located hotel, it's completely quiet, too, just like a much more expensive property. If we ever pass this way again, we'll be sure to stop for the night!
Nice hotel, acceptably clean and well kept. However, surprised that a Best Western Plus designation apparently means NO BREAKFAST! Just a go bag with a bottle of water and granola bar. Seriously? A regular BW provides an ample breakfast! Oh, this hotel is happy to give you a 10% off coupon for a breakfast in their on site restaurant, but that seems like more of an insult than a gift. Otherwise, good location and easy freeway access. Bottom line tho, suggest Best Western Minus is more appropriate!
I stay often and the positive attitude of employees, the clean rooms, easy checkout are consistent. The offer for a bran and go breakfast bag is a nice addition since there is a private owned restaurant on site. I did find the water pressure in the shower a little weak, but ok
We felt so welcomed even with our pets. Had a delightful meal with wonderful waiters. Our pets were so welcomed it made it very nice. Little care package for pets, and goodie bag for us as we left! Thank you !
Clean, comfy, and friendly place.. very disappointed in the closure of pool/jacuzzi. We stay at places with Heated pools , preferably indoor and jacuzzis.. the restaurant was great. Good salads and the ravioli appetizer, irrestible.. as well as the focasia bread, fresh and yummy.the restaurant owner was very attentive
We had not stayed in a Best Western for many years as we are Hilton Honors participants. We did, however, have to spend one night traveling to northern California on Highway 5, and so we chose Hotel Mission del Oro, Santa Nella, coming, and Best Western returning. Hotel Mission del Oro was very disappointing both in accomodations and loud workers very early in the morning. We thought we were in Tiajuana, not the US. We checked Best Western in Santa Nella the next morning for the future. It was much nicer, in a quieter location (walk to Anderson's Pea Soup restuarant). The Best Western should definitely be rated in Santa Nella as the best for accmodations for that area. On our return, it was late and we decided to try the Best Western in Patterson. It is on the caliber of a Hampton Inn: very nice accomodations: great king size bed, quiet a/c system, a nice refrigerator, Dirrect TV so we could watch our favorite RT News station, internet working, very nice restaurant and rolling luggage racks to move your own bags from your car to your room. BW will also match our Hilton Rewards level, so we will consider Best Western more often in the future.
We decided to stop in Patterson, Ca for the night on our way back to Vancouver, Wa. We had reserved our room prior to leaving San Diego. We wanted to stay at a Best Western because of our amazing experience at the BW in Kettleman City. Everything was great when we checked in, the women at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The Hotel looked nice, as did the restaurant in the lobby. We immediately noticed as we walked to our room that it was not as nice as the other, but no biggie. We went in to our room and the most important thing to us was the bed, so I checked that first and my smile quickly turned to a frown. I could feel the springs in the bed.... I thought to myself, this is a mattress right? Not a box spring? That was the first flaw. I decided not to let it get to me. I then jumped in the shower... it was not dirty or anything, but the water felt slimy. I thought I was having a hard time rinsing the soap off, but it was not the soap. I finish up and head to bed. All the sudden I hear children running through the hallway, people laughing etc... You can hear everything that happens around you and above you. Don't get me wrong, the Hotel was not a dive by any means and I would stay there again, but there is room for improvement. Even just updating the mattresses would have really improved the rating. We also decided not to eat in the lobby restaurant after we saw a family waiting an hour for their food, but maybe they were short staffed since it was a Sunday.
We were in Patterson for a family visit, and loved staying at the Best Western Plus Villa Del Lago Inn. The hotel is very convenient to the freeway, and in spite of the location, the location is quiet, and sound proof. We didn't hear outside noises, or noises from other rooms. Housekeeping consistently kept up the daily cleaning, and respected those mornings when we wanted to sleep in and didn't bother us. There is a new restaurant, Francesca's in the inn, with very high quality food.
Making reservation with front desk was seamless. Hotel is in a great location just far enough from the freeway, so no noise. It was nice to have a restaurant in the hotel, didn't need to leave the hotel. Meals were very tasty with good portions. Room was clean and comfortable.
We needed rest. There was no noise. Quite. We are well rested! Location was nice. Far away from the city and near the highway. Very easy to get to from the Interstate. Nice little get-a-way, especially if you are traveling to and from Los Angeles. We will definitely at the Best Western in Paterson. There are several fast food and restaurants near the inn, also two gas stations.
Very clean, very nice employees, but absolutely no breakfast offered. Also price is only $25 less than our Disneyland Hotel. Ridiculously high price for a Best Western in a remote area off I5. Room layout is poor & bed was overly firm. Very clean place to stay, if you can afford it. I'd prefer to drive a little further for an equally accommodating hotel with breakfast and a cheaper price. We have stayed here about 4 times now, but I'm afraid this will be the last...much too expensive & lack of breakfast is a deal-breaker.
everything was wonderful from the reservation to the front desk check in was just as smooth as can be. the check out could not have been any smother either . Many thanks again and we will be staying here more offend with our dogs. the food at the restaurant was very good and have great price. thanks to all
Our room was exceptionally comfortable, roomy and clean. The bed was comfortable and facility was quiet. They have a lovely restaurant within the facility with evening meals available...this restaurant also provides the breakfast meal with a 10% discount.
Very comfortable and surrounded by eateries , awesome staff , no problems at all. Check in and check out was very easy. They even gave us breakfast to carry out on the way home. Clean , respectful staff,Bar , restaurant , work out facility . What else would you need. Surrounding restaurants and starbucks around them.
I was very tired and was in need of sleep. I work for Best Western in Florence Oregon, and Some of what I saw I will take back to my hotel.... It was quite clean and peaceful. If I come back this way I'll be sure to stop again.
Our company work truck was broken into and had the stearing column completely broken in an attempt to steal the entire vehicle-- done leave anyting valuable in your car. Othere than that the staff is awesome and the hotel is really nice
The hotel is nice. The front desk employees were super helpful. over all the stay was nice and quite. The only issues slow wifi and the shower water is not the best. Other than that it was a good experience. Thanks I will stay there again
Not the best value, not the worst. Room was clean, and the staff helpful. The spa was down already for the season. Having a hot tub is something we always look forward to after a long drive, so it was disappointing to have it be out of service in mid October. The restaurant seemed good, we only had breakfast, which was very tasty, but not free! No breakfast buffet here. The internet was extremely slow.
Easy checkin and out . Beautiful clean hotel, clean rooms, easy to get to from freeway and get back on freeway, close to nice restaurants. Close to airport, secured parking lot. Nice restaurant inside hotel.
This is my second time at this hotel. Had such a great experience in March that talk my husband into driving 2 hours more so we could stay there. They were sold out but had a handicap room available. We were so tired from driving from Oregon that we were so relieved a room was available Room 114 had the one of the worst beds I have ever tried sleeping on. I have sleep in third world beds better than this. It had springs pressing against our backs all night. At 3am I called complaining about it. All I could think about was our friend who a paraplegic with bad spine issues laying on this bed. It was absolutely horrible, especially after talking my husband into it. I went to the front desk and ask for a manager and was told that one wasn't on. I can believe we paid $139 for torture. The floor would have been better on the floor but no would sleep on a hotel floor. I truly wish management would try out that bed for a night. They would replace it ASP Don't allow any handicap customers in that room till the mattress is replaced
I make annual treks to Vacaville once a year and to Oregon once a year. I always plan to stay at this hotel. It is the best spot on the way. Restaurants are within walking distance as well as a great little shop with olive oil and local farm products (across the street). The rooms are great, there is a freezer with refrigerator which is so convenient for ice packs. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Would highly recommend this hotel.
Nice place to stay near I5 clean rooms quiet parking was easy there is a car charging station out front wow and Starbucks across the street the area is very well lit we arrived at night with a trailer and had no problems
great place to stop on way to AZ. off of Interstate and quiet. would stay again. restaurant and lounge on site but lots of choices close by. We were given a grab and go bag upon check out which was a nice idea as we don't usually eat breakfast.
The hotel is a little pricey but it is in a good location if you want to take a break on the drive between So Cal & Nor Cal The hotel is well kept and the staff is friendly. The is a good restaurant on the premises. For those towing a trailer there is plenty of parking around the hotel... ie the road around the hotel has lots of room. There are also services like gas and coffee for the quick exit in the morning.
The room was a typical room. The hotel has a restaurant where you can get 10% off for breakfast or they give you a to go bag with a water, small muffin, granola bar and apple. There is plenty of grass for the dogs. It is convenient off I-5.
This property does not offer Free Breakfast. For a Best Western not to offer a Free Breakfast is unheard of nowadays. They didn't even offer any recognition to their Rewards Members. Shame on them! They need to step up their game and show some more detail to their customers.
I have stayed at this hotel twice on the way from Oregon to southern California. This is a great stopover point and the hotel is very nice. The restaurant looks very nice but I have not dined there, instead opting for a restaurant conveniently located near the hotel. I will stay at this hotel again in the future when passing through the area.
This is an excellent choice if you are in Patterson. Close to a lot of amenities and a great value. Nice hotel with very pleasant staff. We were a big wedding party and used the bar/lounge area a lot and never a problem from the staff, quite the opposite, they were very accommodating.
Friendly, professional staff. Very good restaurant. Excellent value. If you are in this area for any reason, business, pleasure or just passing through you can't go wrong by staying here. I highly recommend it.
Every box, bag, suitcase was stolen and three windows smashed, I came out to leave at 4 am and there was glass every where. I finally had car crash wrapped so I could make the drive home. I had to buy all new clothes, shoes, swimsuits, medications, etc.
Aug 15, 2017 -BW Plus Patterson. . .room was fine, clean, single sink, frig/micro, A/C cycles off and on noisily. Look for the control on the side wall, not in the a/c unit itself. Perhaps the flies have gone by now. They were Everywhere. . .no fault of the hotel. Hotel has a huge 3 story atrium, w/ second and 3rd floor rooms on the surround. Could be very noisy depending upon who is occupying the very spacious restaurant and bar on the main floor. Dinner in the restaurant was average. It was difficult to find the staircase exits. Lots of "exit" signs, with most pointing to closed doors (closets?). We finally found the stairs way at the far end of the "surround". Could be dangerous in a fire. Word to the wise at Any ho/motel: get rooms Not facing the West during the hot months. Some places with poor A/C or none at all, can be problematic. Breakfast not included, though they give a 10% off coupon for breakfast. Best Western used to include breakfast in the price, so a puny 10% coupon off in their restaurant adds to the overall cost. They also a “grab and go” breakfast bag which is good..
I haven't seen a nicer made bed in the sleep was very restful the room is quiet and the carpets were brand new so it looks like they did a fresh remodel there is no self serve hot breakfast in the morning but rather a restaurant was very good food I had the breakfast burrito and I am very glad I had it :)
The hotel was great with the exception of the flies during breakfast ... the jacuzzi jets were not working at all ... Very nice staff and very clean and comfortable rooms... we would stay there again especially for the Annual Apricot Festival in end of May early June
Very welcoming and helpful staff. Accommodates dogs. Meets requests as much as possible. Convenient location to freeway and restaurants. Rooms clean and neat. Internet works well. Remembers us from one visit to the next.
The hotel is fine. The restaurant is not affiliated with the hotel and was not that good. How can it take 45 minutes to prepare 2 salads and end up with wilted lettuce? Will try again since it is so convenient and everyone deserves a second chance.
Excellent hotel when making the North/South drive on Freeway 5 corridor in California. Great price, nice amenities and feels more upscale than other hotels (Days Inn and Holiday Inn Express) we have stayed at on the Freeway 5 drive through the heart of California. We have stayed here on two different occasions taking kids to college and both times quality ad cleanliness was consistently high. Only negative is they do not have a continental breakfast, but lots of fast food in walking distance including a Starbucks.
Very nice property. Comfortable and well maintained rooms. Check in and check out is easy. The staff is s friendly and professional. Good parking and easy access to the highway. Very quiet even with people arriving late and leaving early. This is our road trip go-to spot for our first night on the road and our last night before getting back home.
On average, it is the best hotel proximal to Patterson, CA. Each time that I have visited Patterson, I have stayed at this hotel. It is clean and just average. The first time I stayed was uneventful. However, my recent stay in June was not without incident. I made my reservation in advance and was given a room upon check-in. However, the TV did not work and the only maintenance staff who could fix it had gone home for the day. It was early evening around 6pm. So, I was placed in another room which was designed for the physically disabled. I was told that there were no other rooms available, however, I could check availability the next day. I had to call housekeeping because of badly soiled bed accessories. I requested a change of all the bed linen, covers, etc., and vacuum the room. Perhaps, on this day, housekeeping was in a hurry to go home. Staff are friendly and helpful, but this particular stay, the behavior was hit or miss. There were complimentary vouchers for breakfast that I was not told about at check-in. The next day when I went to the front desk to follow-up on whether another room was available, I encountered hotel staff explaining the complimentary breakfast voucher to another guest. I inquired and received it. I was told that I should have received it upon check-in. Overall, the Best Western fares better than other hotels in the area so for that reason, it will continue to be my go to option.
It's clean and comfortable, the staff were nice, but everything just seemed much more average than "plus". The shower head needed to be replaced. Breakfast at the restaurant wasn't much better than the more typical self-serve breakfasts at most hotels. The prices were modest. It all just adds up to "ok" for me. Nothing special here, but it is better than some of the other hotels in the general area.
Is their "limit" on early check in's? Was in town for a wedding and called prior to the date to ask for a earl check in (since check in was at 3 pm) but was told they had reached their limit. -_- Other than that the staff was extremely friendly, the rooms were nice and spacious, and the lobby was just beautiful. Definitely recommend if you for some reason need to stay a night or two in Patterson.
Best Western has the best beds! This was no exception. Also, the staff at the Patterson location (Villa Del Lago) are super friendly and very accommodating. I had a pet room with no issues and was able to reserve on the same day. I also had to leave early in the morning and was rushed so couldn't stop for breakfast. I received a cute little to-go breakfast bag from the front desk when I checked out that contained a muffin, an apple, a granola bar and a bottle of water - that's a first! Simple, but a nice gesture and example of great customer service. Rooms are pretty standard BestWestern. Not super fancy, but also reasonably nice and comfortable. The pillows were a little weird being small and lumpy, but the beds, as always with BW from what I can tell (thankfully!), are always the bomb - way comfortable. I love that I can rely on BW for a comfortable bed! The only real detractor from this stay was the fact that there was a semi-truck parked on the street (not in a truckstop or parking lot) that was idling/running all night long. It was noisy, but we just ran the room fan/AC anyway, and it pretty much drowned it out. A nice thing about this hotel is that it's near the highway but not right on it, so you don't get the highway noise. It was a little annoying to have that semi on all night, but certainly not a deal breaker and I don't think that BW could have done anything about it, anyway. Finally, the location is also great - there are plenty of food places in the immediate vicinity (walking distance) including a Starbucks across the street.
This was a perfect place to stay mid-way to our destination. We wanted a comfortable, relaxing place to rest up and get back on the road the next day. Not much to do here but perfect to stop, have a pleasant dinner, and relax in the room.
We were looking for a quiet place to stay on the Fourth of July as our dog is terrified of fireworks. The hotel walls were sound and we never heard anything. The price was a great value, the room was very clean, beds were comfortable and amenities fit our needs. There was plenty of plush grass around the hotel for our dog to enjoy and it is centrally located to many eating establishments. The staff was exceptionally friendly, professional and accommodating. This proved to be the perfect solution for us and we look forward to many more visits.
Great Beds - Great staff - great food - They have to go snack brown bags upon departure and all the extras you need just in case you forget. The staff was seriously great . The bed was seriously comfortable
Rooms weren't as clean as I thought a best western plus should be. My room had a strong smoke odor and when I asked to change rooms they seemed upset by it. Change my room and the new room smelt exactly the same. Quality was lacking expected more from an best western plus.
We only spent a night on a return trip but found this hotel very nice and a good bargain. We certainly received a cordial welcome and the room was nice, maybe a bit of renovation going on, but it was clean, the bed comfortable . The restaurant was large and I think it had just been renovated also. We were given a voucher for breakfast and were able to order from a menu. I don't know if this is a practice that was going to be continued but we had a very good breakfast. The grounds of the hotel were nicely landscaped, something I always appreciate.
Great stay at this hotel! Service was great , room clean quiet, beds good! Restaurant food was good I thought! Nice location convenient to other shops/ gas! My family and I had a good experience on our stay!
When I stay in hotel rooms the first thing I do is wipe the toilet seat with a sanitized wipe and usually get a visually clean cloth however, at this hotel, I went through my usual procedure and was horrified at the filth that came off the top of the toilet seat. I then lifted the seat to find black splotches underneath (gawd knows what they were). I also would not recommend staying in room 327 if you are sensitive to loud humming noises that vibrate your body to its core. The hotel's air conditioning unit is on top of the roof in that area of the hotel and it will negatively affect your stay there. In reading other reviews, I noticed that people have mentioned the slow internet that is advertised as "high speed" internet. If you plan to get work done on your computer you may as well forget it there. They have a nice restaurant on site (no complimentary breakfasts here) that is supposed to give guests a 10% discount however, the discount was never given to me. The doors to go to the pool and to my room were so filthy that they stuck to the point of making them difficult to open. What else can I say positive....comfortable bed and quiet, convenient location....the end......
This place is a regular stop for us. Very comfortable property, nice people and reasonable pricing. Like the location, too, close to interstate 5 and lots of convenient places to eat nearby. We usually travel with our dog and we've rarely found a dog-friendly property of this quality.
This hotel was nice and clean. The staff were very helpful at check in and informed us when we arrived about a private party that would be occurring in the evening (it was considerate to do that since we were going to bed early to get a very early start on the way back to Oregon). We didn't hear anything during the private party. I would stay here again!
This was the only choice in town. If I didn't have to stay overnight for business, I would have stayed somewhere else. The restaurant was ok, at best. If you don't have to stay in town, go elsewhere. I wish I never would have started this review as it makes you type for way too long for a simple review.
I arrived at Del Lago in Patterson Ca. The first thing I wanted to do was jump in the pool and after looking at it I was disgusted. The pool was green and smelled and was untreated. They have black tarps covering view of the pool. At first i thought it was because of privacy but now I know it is to hide their dirty untreated pool and spa. How many people have gotten sick because of this? If their dirty pool is a reflection of how their business is run, then I suggest corporate go in and clean up management and anybody responsible for this hazardous environment for kids and adults.
Have stayed here before and have always been very satisfied. I was disappointed that the kitchen closed at 10a.m. Unable to have breakfast on Sunday morning. The room was very clean and quiet. I intend to stay at this BW again.
A wonderful experience. One of the best BW Plus location I have stayed at. There are all kinds of restaurants surrounding the hotel. They have a restaurant on property and you receive a breakfast voucher included in your stay at the hotel, gym, newspaper and very clean. Thank you
The Best Western Plus Villa Del Lago Inn is a really fine hotel. The room was very comfortable with all amenities that we could want for a one night stay, while traveling down I-5 in California. Everything was clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the location is convenient--it is near the highway, but far enough away so the noise is not a factor. It was very quiet. The restaurant in the hotel lobby (not run by the hotel) is not very good. Servers were friendly and responsive, but the food was average or below. The breakfast (hotel provides a voucher with some menu selections) was a disaster. The food was just not good. Overall, this is a great place to stay and there are restaurants close by.
We'll definitely stay there again. Very friendly, caring front desk help. Big clean room! Loved that there was a bar & restaurant right there inside the hotel. Was quite refreshing after a week of staying in hotels on a road trip! Our favorite!
Friendly and helpful staff, very nice hotel with nice rooms and the internal atrium design which I really like. After a 110 degree day out on the road, this place was like stepping into a cool oasis in the middle of the Desert. A gem out in the central valley.
Had to stay here due to an AC malfunction at my home. The staff was very understanding and helpful through my situation. The room was cool and nice. The bed could be more comfortable though. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
The rooms are old and no plugs, so you cant hookup your devices. Breakfast is not as advertised. Powered eggs or liquid eggs cant tell. (Bad). Ketchup bottles heads are contaminated, not cleaned Bacon cooked in over heated grease and soaked. Parking lot not safe if you have furniture in trailers or cars. Drug dealings out back.
I have stayed in a lot of hotels and my first choice is a Best Western because of the consistency of cleanliness and great staff. The Del Lago in Patterson, California is the best yet. we feel at home when we travel and our pet is always welcome.
I would stay here again. Everyone was friendly, rooms were nice, restaurant was very nice. Great location. Just wished the restaurant would have stayed open longer in the evening at the bar. We came back from visiting relatives at 9:00 PM and they were just closing. It would have been nice to have a glass of wine.
Best Western Villa Del Lago Inn is a fine choice for a short stopover if traveling through the area. Rooms are clean, parking easy, friendly staff, restaurant and bar on premises. Property is located across the street from several restaurants and fast food places. Starbucks across the street. The property is located near fueling stations and is a convenient stop located along Interstate 5 in Northern California.
I was very surprised at the interior of this Best Western. I live in a small town and was having a party and guests were coming from out of town. I booked rooms at Best Western and when I went in for the first time i was amazed at how nice it is. Couldn't tell from outside. Also easy access off Highway 5 going to Los Angeles, It is surrounded by restaurants, fast food, Starbucks and fast food, A great and convenient stop when traveling on 5
Staff really excellent and helpful. Very nice property. Convenient location off interstate 5. Make sure you have dinner in restaurant! The new chef is fantastic! Really surprised at such an excellent restaurant inside hotel.
Its a clean and nice place. Breakfast is excellent!! I have been here before and they have updated the rooms. The staff is friendly and helpful. You will enjoy your stay. The parking is convenient and it is easy access to the freeway.
If you're looking for a place to lay your head at night it's okay. Breakfast was slow and disappointing. Better option is one of the surrounding restaurants. For some reason they gave us a ADA room so we had no closet, just a rack on the room wall, no tub, but a big shower and a shower chair! Could never figure out the tv, but didn't bother to ask as it wasn't that important to us. Wouldn't be my first choice next time.
From the moment I walked down the hall I knew this was not going to be good when we walked in our room I melted yuck keep positive went to the pool for a dip in the Jacuzzi yak yak yak I almost threw up in my mouth
Arrived for a one night stay after driving in a moving van for 15 hours. The staff was wonderful, professional, and quickly got a room for me. The room was very clean, new, and comfortable, with a mini-frige, and hair dryer. The free breakfast the next morning was excellent with hot items - eggs, cooked to order, oatmeal, waffles, as well as a continental breakfast offering. The morning staff were just as friendly and professional. The front desk was busy when I went to check out but they immediately acknowledged me when I walked up and said they would be with me shortly. I greatly appreciated the acknowledgement, it doesn't happen often enough! At least they knew I was there.
Good price, good value, close to our stay with family. It is easily found off the Interstate with lots of dining choices. The room was spacious, beds were comfortable and the bathroom was good. I highly recommend this hotel
Very nice property. Great location near I-5 but no highway noise. Many food choices within walking distance. It was full when we recently stayed there but the room was very quiet. The staff is knowledgeable, courteous and very professional. The only shortcoming is the age of the rooms. The bathrooms especially, need updating and the choice of pillows is very strange. Never seen pillows that small in a Best Western. If they put in new sinks and showers, this would be a fantastic facility.
Excellent service from the moment we walked in. Desk staff were awesome! Great rooms and a breakfast with lots of choice! The gym would take advantage of rollers, and medicine balls, etc. if they could be added.
Great Location, close to good eateries, next to freeway, mini mall located nearby was very convenient ...bed and pillows not comfortable but room was very good, some upgrade construction going on while I was there but not in the way...good stay , would stay again
We liked the surroundings of this hotel. We felt safe walking the dog and there are several places to eat within walking distance. It is far enough from the freeway that the road noise was not an issue at all.
This is a very nice hotel with a very friendly staff. We always stay here because of the closeness of a variety of places to eat. The staff goes beyond helpful! Internet is usually a problem in many places we have stayed but Villa Del Lago is always the best! We always know our stay will be a good one!
Really enjoyed our stay at this facility again. Great hotel, almost like a mini Embassy Suites. Helpful caring staff. Five stars for a Best Western. Will definitely stay there again next time through that stretch of I-5.
If you come in at 5:00 AM after figuring out that you better stop driving on the freeway trying to stay awake, you can check out the next day ! Get a good rest and drive further after getting up all happy and rested till afternoon. The rooms were pretty, silent, very clean and spacious, Crysalyn was very welcoming, polite and professional at the reception. If you have to stop on the Freeway, that's the place !
Just passing through from Arizona to Washington state. They were very nice to provide a pet room for us. King sized bed, sofa, microwave, fridge and large bathroom sink area. I asked for the slightly larger room with the sofa for us and two cats. Very quiet room, and internet worked well. Breakfast was a choice of scrambled eggs or build your own breakfast sandwich. Make your own waffles or oatmeal. Two types of juice, and several types of bread and sausage. Two newspapers. Several restaurants nearby to include independent Asian and standard jack in the box, Starbucks, subway and a few more. Will stay there again.
We stopped here on our Spring Break for one night with the kids on our way down to California. First of all let me say that the front end staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The location was very convenient right off the I-5. We stayed in room 321 - which had 2 queen beds. The room was clean. The only complaint that I have about the room was that in the morning...the very early morning (6 am)... the garbage truck was right outside our window for what seemed like forever emptying the bins which just so happened to be right outside our room. It was very loud and woke us all up... ten the teenagers which is not easy to do! My only other suggestion is about the continental breakfast. Things seemed not so fresh. We all opted just to have a yogurt and find breakfast elsewhere. Also it was nice to have a Starbucks right across the street.
On our drive from Portland to LA, our family stopped at this hotel for the night. It was ok. Beds were not super comfortable, however Apricot Wood restaurant nearby was great for dinner. Pool was not open yet (opens mid April).
My husband and I stayed here for six months working in the area. The entire staff were most accommodating and friendly. We utilized the fitness center and tasty breakfast buffet which included scrambled eggs, sausage, yogurt, fruit, cereal choices and waffles. The room was very nice and the bed most comfortable.
Convenient location for travelling I-5 corridor, with easy access and good services including Starbucks next door. Safe location, complete with charging stations for electric vehicles. Friendly and efficient staff, and good breakfast options. Very comfortable and updated room, but was slightly disappointed with cleanliness of room. Nothing significant, but not vacuumed or wiped down thoroughly, as some debris on floor and table top (which was surprising given our previous experiences with Best Western Plus hotels).
Reception was great. Happy with ground floor. Disappointed our room, only had one stiff chair. In the past, I think we had a comfy chair. Anyway, very uncomfortable watching Seahawks game. Beds, bedding were great & very clean. We stay here every year coming & going on a vacation. It really needs to updated.
Overnighted here on a long drive Up the interstate. Rooms are clean and quiet, staff is friendly, parking feels safe. The highly-rated in-house restaurant is no longer there, but there's a great Denny's and barbecue place across the street. My only complaints: water pressure for the shower in my third-floor room was very weak, but functional. Skip the free continental breakfast, unless you just want to rack up the tasteless carbohydrates, and go to Denny's across the street.
The starkness and vastness of this area in California is dramatic and there's this oasis; BW Villa Del Lago. Not only is the staff excellent this relatively small rest stop offers several restaurants, a wine tasting and almond retail shop, service stations, a great area for walking and Starbucks. Everything in one place. It has something to accommodate everyone.
Was fine for an overnight visit. Newer building, rooms ok. Best thing I can say is it puts me within walking distance of Apricot Wood (see my review). Its basically near Interstate 5 and have several gas stations, fast food nearby,
There are no outlets at the desk nor on the tables next to the bed. I received no TV signal. There were pieces missing from the refrigerator which made it difficult to store anything on the door. There was no desk lamp (I moved a lamp from one of the bedside tables over to the desk). Maintenance finally had to bring up a power strip to provide enough outlets. Breakfast does not begin until 7:00, so if you want breakfast, you have to get a "to go" bag and try to eat it in the car while you are driving. This is not a destination resort where people come for relaxation; it is on I-5 on the way to or from Los Angeles, so I don't know who they think they are catering to, but it it definitely not the I-5 crowd. The person at the front desk was the only one on duty when I had problems, and she did her best to help me, but she had other responsibilities as well. Elevators are far away from the check-in desk. This place is not well-managed or cared for. I would try to find someplace close by the next time.
From my first phone call to the Reception desk for my reservation.....I was impressed!! The front reception lady spoke spanish and was able to speak to my parents directly in Mexico. Im so satisfied because my parents were very impressed with the greeting from the fist call. Thank you very much for the great hospitality and rooms you provided for my parents!!
Have stayed here many times in the last few years because it is a good stop off for a drive from Tucson to Seattle. It seems to have continued to deteriorate a little more each time we stop. They used to have a nice breakfast in the mornings, but that area has since become a private restaurant that has wedding receptions and other functions going on that make it hard to stay there anymore. This time there was a poster saying they would be closing the restaurant in a few weeks. They are pet friendly and gave our dog a gift package which she enjoyed. We really couldn't find anything to watch on TV because most of the channels didn't come in. The beds were great, the room was quiet. The pillows were lumpy like they had been used way to much. In lieu of breakfast they did give us a "grab and go" bag with water, a granola bar, piece of fruit and muffin. CHose not to stay there on our return home.
I stayed here for 4 days and was impressed with this small town hotel. It was nice for our little stay and the grab n go breakfast bag every morning was handy. The staff was great and the hotel was clean. It was in a convenient location with gas stations and food close by. I will recommend this hotel to friends and family coming to the area in the future.
The hotel is nice enough and the restaurant is decent. Front desk staff were friendly. Room was clean and in good condition. BUT.... They have made the most bizarre decision to remove all the normal size pillows and replace them with tiny square pillows. I have never had a worse night sleep in a hotel. Not only are the pillows (really they are cushions) tiny, but they are plumped up so your neck is at a bad angle when sleeping on them. I asked the front desk about them and she had no explanation but offered to try to find a normal pillow. After 20 minutes she called back and said she couldn't find one. Whoever made the decision to make guests sleep on tiny square pillow cushions needs to have his or her head examined. Bizarre! Woke up with a stiff neck after a sleepless night.
The Best Western Plus was a great place to stay. We'll be staying here again in the near future as we have family in the area. We also had a pet with us and they were very accomodating and helpful. They made it a very pleasant stay for us. We recommend it.
Only hotel that does not serve hot breakfast. They give you a bag with small apple, muffin and water. They have an in-house restaurant that you have to pay $7.00 for breakfast. All the other hotels we stayed at offered hot continental buffet breakfast. Will never stay here again nor recommend this place.
The room and hotel itself were clean although there was a subtle odor of cigarette smoke. Nothing spectacular but there were nice amenities such as the pool, hot tub, in hotel restaurant, sauna and exercise room. The hotel staff was friendly. They provided dog treats which was nice, however they had expired 6 months prior :(
Clean rooms with comfortable beds. Hotel is being remodeled so I am looking forward to the new decor. Swimming pool and hot tub available during summer months. Restaurant/bar is nice. There are other dining options close by.
We used this hotel as a one night stop over on our way to San Francisco. The room was clean and comfortable. I do have two complaints - 1. My wife and daughter went to go swimming and soon returned to the room. I asked them why they were back so soon and they said the water was dirty. 2. Breakfast - This hotel has a restaurant owned and managed by an outside company so there is no continental breakfast included. They do provide the guest with a paper bag breakfast that includes an apple, muffin, granola bar and a water; however, I had two of our teenage children and the person at the front desk said children were not included in the breakfast. What!!! 130 dollar bill and they cannot provide breakfast for children. After my wife said she was not pleased with this they gave her two more breakfast bags. As a way to save money on vacations, a continental breakfast is always a nice added benefit; however, the bag did contain enough food to help start the day. Not much to do in Patterson other than spending the night on the way to your destination so even though I was not totally pleased with my stay, I would still recommend this hotel for a one night stop.
The staff is incredibly welcoming and had amazing customer service. The rooms are very clean and in really good shape. The have a really nice restaurant that sits in the center of the hotel. Parking was all around the building so no problems with finding a place to park. This is a safe and great place to stay for a few nights.
Great place to stay on I-5, a little over an hour to Sacramento, maybe an hour and a half. We stay here on our way home from SoCal often. Pet friendly, they even give you treats and baggies. Restaurant right in the motel.
After almost 2 weeks od a road trip, this is by far the nicest, cleanest property we have stayed! By chance and without advance reservations, Audrey at the front desk provided us with a well equipped (including jacuzzi tub) newly remodeled room. The on site restaurant has an extensive, delicous menu and the service first class. The past several nights I relied on web site recommendations & no hotel was near the star rating assigned. This is our nicest overnight returning fries Oregon.
It is always a pleasure to stay at this hotel. We have been around the world and have stayed in many well known hotels, but this one is among the best. It is always very clean and very comfortable to stay in and close to all major attractions. Outstanding bar service.
Good hotel for the money. Decent rooms, good restaurant. Could use some basic maintenance as our toilet ran and the cable connection needed to be fixed. I think guests come and go quickly, so nobody says anything to staff about maintenance.
Service staff are amazingly good at this property. The facility itself is a bit dated, but reasonably well maintained. The bed was on the firm side, but was perfect for me. Dining options are quite good, but if you have a sweet tooth, bear in mind that the A&W adjacent to the property closes at 10pm. All in all, this was a good value.
A good stopping point for traveling from Eugene, Or to Disneyland. Clean rooms, good beds & quiet. We made use of the small but adequate swimming pool. They have an on site restaurant. We didn't use it, instead we ran across to one of the many fast food joints.
There aren't a lot of choices in Patterson California, and this was a pleasant surprise. The room was clean, beds reasonably comfortable, and restaurant food surprisingly tasty. Nice pool and hot tub, small fitness center. Wish the breakfast was included, and wish they had a better quality sheets and towels, but the cost was reasonable and we enjoyed our two night stay.
We were told we would have a crib for our infant. A poorly designed pac and play was all that was offered as a crib. We inquired several times and were told we would have a crib. What was offered had no mattress for the child to sleep on and we unsafe to put her in at all as the bottom of it folded. Not once were we told the "crib" was not a crib. We had to waste an entire day finding another hotel that could accommodate us for the rest of our stay which was 4 more days. The staff was nice but could only offer us a single roll away as a replacement. We had to end up taking turns holding her all night as we could not safely sleep her with the other two children we had with us and the bed was too soft. We have stayed there numerous times before we had the baby and it was lovely.
Nice hotel, great service and nice bar/restaurant. Rooms were nice but limited tv channel selection. Staff was tremendous and the grounds were nice. Pool was dirty with leaves etc., and dirty towels were left in the pool area for the two days we stayed there so grounds crew obviously didn't check the pool area.
This is a comfortable and pleasant hotel with good service. There is an interior courtyard for a bar and restaurant. The elevators have windows to view the courtyard. The price is reasonable and there is not much else to choose from if you want to be close to Patterson. It is convenient to the freeway. There are several dinning choices within a short walk from the hotel.
I always stay here when traveling up Interstate 5 as its right off the freeway and also out of town so no morning rush hour to deal with. The main reason however is the restaurant is way better than the usual freeway fare. The rooms are pleasant and the staff friendly.
We generally stay at the Villa Del Lago when visiting family because it's the only hotel in the area. It's decent and clean and feels safe. The problem with this hotel is the design is such that all the floors are open to a restaurant in the center on the main floor, so all that noise travels to the rooms. If you're lucky enough to get a room down one of the hallways it's much better, but most of them surround the open space. It used to be a bar with music which was much worse, but the weekend breakfast crowd gets pretty loud. The housekeeping staff can be really loud too, carrying on conversations right outside your door, walkie talkies that they use to communicate with the front desk going off constantly. It's really frustrating if you're trying to sleep in. There was very little consideration for noise levels. Overall it's a decent, comfortable place to stay, but it's dated and the decor and carpet is worn. They do a good job with cleaning but the place could use some freshening up. There's plenty of food options nearby, a Starbucks right across the street, and quick access to the freeway.
This is a gem ion I 5 near 580/205. I recommend dining in the in house restaurant or El Rosals 500 yards away. I know it feels like it is in the middle of nowhere but there is several restaurants at this exit and a Safeway down the street. I recommend this nice oasis.
Well it's on I-5 and when your tired from driving you need a room. The room was clean with decent WiFi. The bathroom was clean with several towels. The only real negatives were the pillows which were little 1/2 pillow balls. $140 for a double queen.
Very clean hotel rooms, excellent beds. Great spot to take a break on I5. Electric refueling station open to the public at the hotel. Restaurant in the hotel and a number near by, from fast food to Sushi.
We picked this hotel because of its proximity to Diablo Grande Golf Course. The girls at the front desk very friendly and even upgraded us to a king suite. The hotel over all was very clean and the rooms comfortable, elevators and inside corridors. No free breakfast, they have a restaurant inside the hotel or you'll find other eating options close by and easily walkable, KFC, Denny's, Starbucks and some burger Places. Before you fill up with gas check with the front desk and get directions to downtown to the local gas stations, about .40 cents a gal. cheaper, worth the 2 mile drive. Except for no free breakfast a good place to stay.
Over priced Motel 6 experience. Breakfast not included. On site restaurant and bar was rented out for the evening with a very loud party. The room had several quick fix repairs that were never finished. The pillow on the bed was torn on both ends. Not up to Best Western standards.
We stopped here only because we were tired of driving, but were pleasantly surprised! Right beside a starbucks, and well worth the stay. Super clean, friendly, efficient, and a bagged breakfast fast for early departure! Also had the best pizza of our lives from Pizza factory delivered. 5 star stay :)
Hotel is clean, well maintained inside and out. Beds of comfortable.Price is on the High side for it's location. Location is good with many surrounding places to eat. Close to the Hwy 5, easy access. Restaurant on premises is Average. No longer serving a free breakfast.
We were on our way home to Victoria, Canada from Yuma, AZ and decided we needed to stop so this was not planned. The reception was perfect and they did allow pets for we had our Golden with us. They gave a Military rate and even some treats for Lucy. Room was perfect and asked to be close to door and they did. Room had King bed and was very clean. We ordered food from the restaurant and it was very good and affordable. Later I had a few drinks at the bar and the Staff were very professional and friendly. We will make this a planed stop moving forward. Thanks
Basically, needed a place to sleep. Usually have good luck with BW+. This place is slightly above most express hotels. 5-6 minutes for hot water to travel to shower head. Window-shaker HVAC struggled to het room above 70. Very small flatscreen. No free breakfasts. And.....THE slowest wi-fi on !5. For all this you pay about $40 more than you should. The staff is helpful and pleasant. No complaints there. It just comes don to.....the room. On the plus side...there is a great little BBQ place across the street.
The BW in Patterson was a welcome relief from my travels. It is not a "motel" but a very nice and well kept hotel with a good restaurant and bar in an atrium in the center of the building. The staff was great and the rooms were neat and clean, and quiet. Services are located nearby including a Starbucks just out the front door. I would heartily recommend the BW to anyone needing a room overnight.
Very convenient location while traveling from Seattle to Temecula on I-5. Reception staff was friendly, room was clean and comfortable, restaurant was great, and we were happy to find a Starbucks right across the street! Would definitely stay here again.
I travel a lot from BC Canada to Mexico and want the fastest route south and north I usually travel with Pets and find pet friendly motels this time was not traveling with pets and wanted comfort after a 12 hour drive heading back from Mexico Pulled into Patterson and the Best Western Plus wanting a good night sleep internet and a quick bite to eat in am must say the greeting was great after a long day and all the amenities were welcome nice clean quiet rooms.. good food for breakfast will make that a stop again on my next passage to Mexico. and back
First let me say that I love how friendly the front Staff is! They have a small awesome bar and Restaurant. I happy hour yesterday and the food was awesome. One of the best perks is Starbucks is almost in their parking lot! Guests who stay here always seem friendly and polite too, nice to see in our world today. You know they say good morning coming out of the elevator, that kind of thing. KFC/A & W is in the parking lot plus across the street is more. The pool area is closed in the winter but that's ok they make up for it in other ways. The bed was very comfy, the Windows open for natural air and I felt safe.
This is by far one of the best hotels on the 5. I stayed here a month ago on a trip to Sea World and again last weekend on a trip to Disneyland. This is our 'GO TO' hotel on long road trips! It is clean, well maintained and an excellent value!!!! Thank You BW!
Great hotel. The room was nice, comfy bed and pillows. Great staff. While breakfast is not included, I was offered a sack breakfast with fruit, water bottle, granola bar and a muffin. It was fine, no complaints. It has an open, airy feel inside with a restaurant inside. This is a separate business from the hotel.
I stayed there the summer of 2015.The company I worked for put some of us up during the week. The staff is very friendly and easy to talk with. There are a few places to eat in this little area within walking distance, very safe and close to the freeway but far enough away that you can sleep with your windows open and not hear the traffic. The center of town is about 15 minutes away and there are all sorts of places to see and eat or shop. The hotel itself has a restaurant and bar in it. Quite a nice place to stay at.
There is nothing great about the hotel itself, and the location isn't at all exciting. But the staff and the restaurant made it worth staying at. The restaurant is surprisingly excellent. Easily the best breakfast i've ever had at a Best Western. The meals are not free, but we were given coupons by the front desk, and the prices were already fairly low. Made the stay much better for us. The room was average, but very clean, easy to adjust room temp, and we couldn't hear highway noise. (It was winter, though, so we didn't have the window open.) The building is also very average. The staff, both at the desk and the building/cleaning crew were very friendly and helpful. That and the restaurant made it a great overnight stop on the I-5 drive.
Lets face it, this is one of the only hotels in the area so its not like I had the option of staying at the Ritz. That being said, they allow and welcome pets, and its a perfect location for visiting family for the holidays, which is why I stay here. The restaurant is hit or miss, and they dont offer room service to my knowledge. They do have a fridge and microwave in the room which is great for any leftovers. And they are near the freeway exit with lots of food options.
Don't be afraid to stay at this location. Was one of the best Best Western which I have stayed at. While the outdoor pool could be upgraded, was not a problem for us because we did not use. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Would not hesitate staying at this facility if you are traveling through this great wine country.
Our room was missing a table for luggage storage. It was clean but didn't have extra pillows or blankets. During our last stay we found the shower head fell off, and general maintenance was poor. The hotel appears to be cutting costs.
The staff are friendly and professional. I had a great breakfast then absentmindedly dropped my credit card in the restaurant. The staff contacted me and promptly sent my card to an address in San Diego via FedEx. My Christmas vacation was uninterrupted due to the diligence of the staff. Thank you so much.
we checked in at midnight on our way home to Oregon from Disneyland ... the staff was very friendly room was very clean and comfortable, comfortable beds, good breakfast. Close to I-5 but nice and quiet. I would stay here again!
Most impressed with the quality of this overnight stop. The room was large and spacious, the bed a super kingsize ( the downside being that american beds are so high that I needed a step to get into it!) and it had a fridge and a microwave as well as an iron, hairdryer etc. I had an accessible room which had hand rails but no walk in shower, so I had to step into the bath. They provided a portable seat inside the bath. It was a struggle but I did manage with a little help from my husband. The breakfast was outstanding, you paid extra and were given two dollars each towards the cost. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Finally ... a major bonus .... there is a restaurant in the hotel which is outstanding. The only night it is not open is a Sunday but there are plenty of other eateries within walking distance.
Nice and clean. Breakfast to go was minimal but convenient. Good location. Quiet and it seemed safe for our car which was loaded with things for our move. Would definitely stay again. Restaurant in hotel was closed so ate st the owner's other property, Apricot Wood BBQ, which was good.
This is a very very nice pet friendly place. Well maintained and friendly staff. Close to food as well as an in house restaurant which served a great breakfast with discount coupon. I will stay here again.
This stay we used points and were generally pleased with the overall experience. The problem with the HVAC put a definite damper on the sleeping experience, but everything else was good. The front desk was great, both on arrival and departure. The breakfast in the dining room and the service were outstanding.
I picked this motel because of all the excellent ratings on TripAdvisor. Having now stayed there I cant imagine how anyone would ever rate this hotel anything but terrible. This "smoke free" motel was anything but. The hallways smelled like a Vegas casino; walking to my room made me nauseous from the smell. Inside m room - the horrors continued. The cushion on the desk chair was completed soaked thru with a nasty looking stain (I placed a towel over it just to sit down). The room was dirty, the shower curtain was ripped and linens and bath soaps were of the cheapest possible types. If you ever pass thru Patterson, California please do yourself a favor and either drive further or find another option.
The hotel staff is polite and nice, the lobby and room was clean and well furnished. Our room was big and the bed was comfortable. We had a lot of channels on the tv. It was an excellent stay and we would stay there again.
This Best Western used to be a great stop for us but the room especially the bathrooms really need remodeling. The grout is mouldy and needs replacing. We used to enjoy the restaurant but that too has gone down hill. We will be moving on to another location next time we need to stop along that route.
Conveniently located off I-5 in CA Central Valley. Conference facilities were great. I enjoyed the lounge and on-site restaurant. Local town was assessable and quaint. Patterson is growing up near I-5.
Love staying at this hotel when we visit my sister in Patterson. It has great service, comfy beds and a great restaurant on site. Always return to this Best Western. Always friendly staff and clean rooms.
We arrived at this Hotel tired and hungry. WE planned on checking in and finding a local restaurant. Much to our surprise they had a great restaurant located in their Hotel with good food and even better prices. I would definitely stay here again.
We have stayed here several times on our way to vacation. We love this hotel. I like the small town feel. Clean, comfy, large rooms and close to restaurants. Friendly staff. Easy on & off to I-5. Happy to recommend.
I expected more from this hotel based on previous reviews. It is a little run-down. Pretty clean. Quieter than I expected. It was a little pricey for being a very basic hotel. I would not recommend it; nor would I stay here again.
Average hotel, overpriced, free breakfast is a joke, $2 off in their restaurant or a go bag. I gave my go bag to a homeless guy outside. Suggest you look at some of the many other options in this area.
This is one of the most lovely Best Western hotels in the chain, with a fantastic high-ceiling, atrium restaurant and incredibly quiet rooms. I travel on Hwy 5 occasionally and only found this hotel recently, and I will definitely plan future trips to stay at this Best Western Villa Del Lago Inn in Patterson. Friendly staff, clean room, great restaurant and bar, and super quiet off the highway.
Needed to stop between Oregon and Phoenix and this place was perfect. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and quiet. Appreciated the pre-bagged breakfast provided since had to leave at 6 AM, before the restaurant opened for service at 7. All usual (and useful!) basics: in-room coffee, micro, fridge, soap/shampoo/conditioner/lotion, free wi-fi, express check-out.
I admit, this was not our first choice for a hotel as we made our way down the 5 Fwy South to home. It was late and we were tired. We tried to stop at other hotels along the way only to find they were full due to displaced residents from the fires. There were evacuees at this hotel as well. They were able to accommodate us, thankfully, and fortunately for us the hotel was really lovely and well designed. There was a Jacuzzi tub which regretfully we did not use. We slept well, the Hotel staff were great, and we got a sack breakfast to eat on our way! Well done! We will stay at this hotel again and next time use the tub!
Needing to get to Patterson, CA for a meeting, we traveled at night down a long empty stretch of I-5, to arrive at the Sperry Road exit, to find a most delightful Vila Del Lago Inn, surrounded by several restaurants. This property has a most unique center, three story atrium, containing a restaurant and lounge. Peggy, our server, provided a terrific and relaxing lunch. Later, Amanda, at the front desk, was very helpful in assisting us with business matters, all with an infectious smile. We highly recommend this property if ever in the Patterson area.
This hotel is right off I-5. It is well kept and maintained. They have the friendliest staff I have ever met. I always feel safe when I stay here. They offer some great amenities, such as free internet, a discount on your sit-down breakfast, or a "grab and go" breakfast bag which is a huge convenience. they welcome your well behaved dogs and maintain a large grassy area. Nice pool for kids as well. Recommended for families, dog owners or single travelers who want a nice hotel at a reasonable price.
Our room was spacious and I liked the layout of the hotel interior. It's set up where most room overlook the lounge area. Makes it feel like a resort. Very comfortable stay and will definitely stay here again.
