I'm sorry to leave a negative review, but I genuinely wish I had known about these issues before booking The Sanctuary Resort. From the moment I walked into the hotel, I had concerns. Even the toilet in the lobby was not clean. The hotel itself is quite large and has clearly been nicely designed, but it feels poorly maintained and not particularly well managed. I think this is why it looks much better in the pictures than it feels in reality. Our room and bathroom were spacious and nicely designed, and reasonably clean, but there was mould and a strong smell of dampness. The humidity in the room was very noticeable and, for us, quite unpleasant. Breakfast was okay, but again lacked a certain level of care and finesse. It felt like the hotel was trying to do the right things, but something was missing. On the positive side, the swimming pool and pool area were nice, with beautiful views. Unfortunately, the sun loungers and towels looked very old and overused. Overall, this was not a good experience for us. The hotel has a lot of potential and looks lovely in photos, but it needs much better maintenance, cleanliness and management to match the appearance.

The hotel left an exceptionally positive impression! I enjoyed everything: the modern and welcoming atmosphere, the attentive staff, and the comfortable conditions for a relaxing stay. I would especially like to mention the rooftop swimming pool, where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful views. The breakfasts were excellent, with a great selection of dishes, and the aquarium with sharks swimming inside made the morning meal especially unique and memorable. I also really enjoyed the beautiful view of the spacious main lobby. The hotel is conveniently located, with the sea just a short distance away. The surrounding area is also very clean and well maintained. I highly recommend this hotel and would be happy to stay here again!

This hotel has a lot of pluses, it is located a short block from the beach, very nice large rooms with nice balcony and we had a view of the water which I would recommend, large bathroom with rain shower all though the lighting in the bathroom was a bit dim, breakfast buffet was included and it had a good variety of dishes. The staff here are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the rooftop pool, excellent for watching the sunset, although we thought there should have been more loungers, there was not enough for everyone and there was too many tables and chairs that were not used,the pool was a bit run down with one hot tub not in use? This area of Pattaya is a bit quieter than some areas although it was still busy enough for us, lots of places to eat around and 7eleven across the street. The one problem we had with our room was the air conditioning it was always freezing cold and we were unable to adjust it, we tried to address this issue in the lobby but it was not fixed?so we were either freezing or sweating! All in all I would recommend this hotel, it is good value

I stayed here for 4 nights but was sick 2/3 whole days cause the air condition in our room was terrible. I was freezing my a** off at night. We tried to turn the heat up, but it always went down to 21˚. One of the rooms had a weird smell that reminded me of the sewers. The network on the TV was really bad, we could barely watch anything. We had to get help to log out of Netflix cause it wouldn't load. The staff was friendly and helpful, but I did not enjoy our stay here. Will most likely never return.

Had an absolutely fantastic evening at the hotel rooftop bar! The views were stunning but what really made the experience special was the service. A huge shout-out to "Win & Pan" who took care of us all night. They were attentive, friendly, and mixed our drinks to perfection. The pool area is also gorgeous—a perfect spot to relax. Super nice check in process. Fromt desk lady Jaja was very attentive and got our room reqdy for check in on time. Lobby is very nice.
The Location was good and price for a 2 bedroom hotel room. The staff were friendly and did what they could. The main foyer of the hotel was nice but sometimes had a weird odour and was not pleasant. The rooms look great online but on getting our room when we entered it smelt musty/mouldy on the 5th floor, thought it was just musty and went out for the day to see the sites. on returning in the late afternoon. the room still smelt. The shower drain blocked and would not drain. I called the front desk and they came to unblock the drain and spray with de odourizer in the rooms. The whole hotel suite still smelt bad but worse coming from the bunk room. on more careful smelling, we tracked it down to a very bad soiled mattress. the smell was disgusting. We called the front desk again and told them and they removed the mattress which made the room smell even worse as the soiling had leached into the bunk base. and found rubbish and debris under the mattress showing how the cleaners cleaned these rooms.. the cleaner didnt even worry as they removed the mattress and set up a bed in the lounge. with the mattress gone, the stench was worse. we complained again and got moved to a higher floor same type bunk room. The odour was gone and it was now 1030pm, kids exhausted. new room smelt slightly mouldy. The next morning found the balcony doors did not fit correctly leaving a gap on the side of the doors once locked together letting in the street noise @ mosquitoes, this was very annoying at 3am when trucks seemed to be working, the jets in the bath did not work, told front desk and this was not fixed and then the kids bunk room aircon thermostat malfunctioned and went down to 17C at 4am freezing the child sleeping in the top bunk. we had to turn it off. Told front desk that morning. it worked for the day and malfunctioned the next morning. i thought being a Best Western brand Hotel would have been a good choice but very disappointed with the amount of broken items / ammenities within the hotel. i felt in the end like i was just moaning as there were so many broken items in both rooms we had.

The location is perfect, right by the beach. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our room was large, clean, and had a fantastic sea view on the roof top. I stayed 2 nights in this hotel with my wife. And I spend great time on rooftop bar. We got great times on the rooftop. The wateress. Name is Migoel. I have to say Luke this. I realized how much Thailand is beautiful country. Because of Miguel. She was so so nice and she take care over like customer. I appreciate to her and I'm sure if I visit again in pattaya I will stay in hotel again.

This is our second time staying at the hotel. We stayed there in October 2024 and loved everything. We didn't even hesitate to choose it again in 2025.

The breakfast was excellent with a wide selection of fresh and delicious options. Every staff member we met was warm, friendly, and always smiling — their genuine hospitality made us feel right at home. The entire property is exceptionally well maintained — both the guest rooms and the restaurant are spotless and elegantly presented. The location is perfect, just a few steps away from the beautiful beach, offering both convenience and tranquility. A special thank you to Mr. James, the General Manager, and Ms. Guitar, the Front Office Manager, for their outstanding service and personal attention throughout our stay. You both made our experience truly unforgettable. ☕️ Tip for future guests: If you wish to enjoy the best seat in the restaurant, make sure to reserve a table in advance near the shark tank — it's the most beautiful and memorable spot! Also, the hotel serves Starbucks coffee, which is absolutely fantastic and adds a touch of comfort and convenience to your stay. Staff on reception was exceptional food is lovely enjoyed the baby sharks close to the beach. Lovely Infiniti rooftop bar and Pool this is our second visit to this hotel and will more than likely return many times. Also has a lovely spa very close by.

I've stayed here several times and thought it was a wonderful and one of perfect hotel in Pattaya. The location of hotel was closed to the beach and just few minutes walk. The room was facing to the sea that our family could see from balcony of our room and also bathtub in the room. Room were clean with full of amenities setup, welcome fruit and welcome card. Staff were nice and always smile especially trainee at front desk was recognized us (could not remember the guy name). The pool on the roof was very atmosphere and nice place for relaxing. I will come back to stay again for sure.
