Best Western Hotel Hohenzollern

The staff are genuinely friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms are quiet, beautifully decorated with extra touches such as free sparkling mineral water. This is a perfect stayover destination while crossing Germany. The hotel is a 5 minute walk across the square from the train station. The bar & restaurant's atmosphere is very warm and inviting. The big windows are good for people watching. The menu has good choice with normal prices. The hotel is an easy 20 minute stroll to the main shopping hub and fascinating old town.

We were in Osnabrück for a concert and stayed overnight in this hotel to avoid a late return trip home. It is an excellent venue. We arrived in the afternoon and walked the short distance from the Bahnhof to the hotel. Reception is very friendly and helpful. The room was modern and had everything one needed for a short stay. In spite of the hotel being in a very high traffic area it is amazingly quite inside. A good nights sleep is easily had. That evening we dined in the hotel restaurant and it was excellent. Their chef knows how to cook a fresh fish perfectly. I would recommend this property to anyone for a quick stay in Osnabrück.

Good location, next to the train station. Nice clean rooms, and a solid breakfast. Dident have the chance to visit the fitness club in connection to the Hotel, but this looked very good, and well equipped. This summer there is some construvrion going on, on the street outside the hotel, this might be a little annoying during breakfast

Perfect location with excellent service. We stayed three people in a junior suite with a large bathroom, plenty of closets as well as a coffee machine and kettle. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The beds were on the hard side for one of us, but that is a matter of preference. Extra plus for a shower with good water pressure, a magnifying mirror and an AC that worked perfectly. We also appreciated the breakfast hours (until 11.00) and the check-out time (12.00). We had made a parkering reservation in advance and that also worked out smoothly. A shout out everyone in the staff who were very service minded and helpful 👏🏻 The only thing we could have wished for more would be a little bigger bread assortment and that the construction work outside the hotel would be less noisy 😄 In other words: This was a perfect stay. Thank you!

Disappointing in almost every way. The location is typical of any hotel by a rail connection - really sketchy characters all around, litter and food waste on the floor. Stepping inside the hotel, it's functional but in no way 4*, a poor 3 at best. It's dated, and expensive for what it is. There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke coming from the ventilation system and all my stuff stank for 2 days after. The worst thing was the staff, they just didn't seem to care. There was an older man sat alone at breakfast. He had urinated on this chair and was obviously embarrassed. This meant I wasn't able to eat due to the smell of human waste. Not one of the staff in the hotel helped the man, or got anyone else to assist like an ambulance. I'm unsure if we was a guest - if so shame on the hotel - or a street person who wandered in. In any case, I didn't feel safe and obviously… Will never return.

The good thing about the hotel is the location because it is at the train station. Other than: the rooms are functional, but without character, and not as clean as I would have expected. I booked this hotel because it was the only one with a pool, but I won't come back.

We knew the check in time, but we arrived early. Our room was already available. Check in went fast and the receptionist was very polite and helpful. We got the Hygge room. Very nice and very large. Mailed some questions prior on arrival.Quick reaction and action on our requests. The hotel is directly in front of the train station. The real old innercity is about 30 minutes walk, but the first stores are 10 minutes walking from the hotel.

As we were driving wanted a hotel with parking and walkable to town centre so chose this hotel based on TA reviews. Parking booked and available although EV chargers were not working which was annoying. About a 20 minute walk to Old Town that was flat and easy. Hotel staff were all professional and helpful and my lack of German wasn't an issue. Room was a good size, spotlessly clean. Air con worked very well, especially as it was hot on our visit to Osnabruck. WiFi quick and stable. Breakfast was average. Nothing wrong just not special. Bed was comfy. Big bathroom with easy to operate shower.

A great hotel. Great location, very good gym and food was excellent. Staff are all excellent and very helpful. Its a bit old and the rooms don't have AC which is problem this time of year as it gets very hot at night

Great location comfortable stay adequate choice for breakfast have to say the lady doing the hot drinks for breakfast has a great attitude and works efficiently. We had an excellent evening meal as a large group and the food was superb and cooked to a very high standard. Great for the station and my room on the internal part of the hotel was quiet away from the hustle and bustle.

The hotel is the definition of a German hotel from the early 90s. And somehow nothing really changed. Okay, there is a big TV and the hotel guide on the room is a touchscreen pad but that's about it. Shower in the bath tub, shower gel in tiny plastic satchels and the shower head really straight from the 90s. If the hotel was 80€ a night, I wouldn't complain but I paid 120, which was really not worth compared to other cities and hotel levels. I'll try hard not to go back here

Rooms were clean. Good location for business and easy access to city centre and highway. Breakfast really extraordinary with local specialities like meat pate and homemade jam. Nice and friendly staff. Recommended. Bathroom needed a bit of renovation.

We stayed just for one night & chose the hotel due to location & parking facilities. We were pleasantly surprised with our large room & fantastic shower area, with free WiFi. Room very very clean & we had a very comfortable nights sleep. Breakfast was very good. Would highly recommendable this hotel.

I would have gone crazy too if they didn't have wifi but for our short stay, the wifi worked really well and we were there in the same month when the other guest claimed that it didn't exist. We have no other way to communicate on our devices as our service from Japan isn't an option when in Europe so wifi is paramount. I guess we were in a lucky room because it worked really well. The wifi also worked in the lobby and in the fitness center / gym / pool areas. We only stayed for 1 night so we arrived early and checked in but our room wasn't ready which we didn't care because we just left our bags with the desk people. They were pleasant enough too. We had awful directions though to get into the old town so the walk in the heavy rain wasn't fun at all. I saw in a previous review that there's a pleasant walk along a river to get to the old town. The staff should learn that route and teach it to everyone because the walk we took wasn't nice at all. After staying in the Old Town of Münster for 3 nights with a corner room overlooking one of the Xmas Markets, the walk from this hotel seemed sketchy. We went back to the hotel that late afternoon & got our room & used the gym & pool and both were great. Robes & slippers would be nice but I completely understand that it's not that type of a hotel so it wasn't expected. Our room was kind of facing the mall next to the hotel and we could see part of the train station and there was a McDonald's down there too. It wasn't a terrible view. Natural light is always good and fresh air too. The train station building looks good. We would have stayed in the old town for a longer stay but for just a one night stay, it worked out perfectly. We walked back to the Old Town in the heavy rain again to see the Xmas Markets lit up at night and climbed the church tower or the city hall tower and the views were fantastic. Highly recommended. We found a slightly quicker way on that second journey. It wasn't that bad and we felt safer the second time out that day. We ate dinner at one of or the oldest restaurants in the Old Town and it was great and also beautifully decorated for Xmas. We were able to use the pool again early the next morning and no one else was there first thing in the morning so that was really great. Ah, they had umbrellas to lend out even though it seemed like Europeans weren't using them in the misty rain which puzzled us. People walking around soaking wet wearing eyeglasses with lenses covered in water!? Very thankful that the train station was right there as the dash in the rain took only 2 minutes and we conveniently caught our train to the Netherlands. It's not fancy but it's not bad at all. Checking out was painless too. No problems.

WiFi is non existent. Breakfast is excellent, staff is what you'd expect from Germans.Bed is comfortable, but the pillows suck. Very convenient to the railway station. Given an option, I wouldn't stay here again.

Fantastic as always. Starting from the warm welcome and the very polite hotel staff. Going to the very good, clean and quiet room on the first floor. And ending with the option for a very good and rich breakfast (inside and outside possible). So we will definitely come back "home" thank you very much for the perfect service we experienced for the last 8 years :)

Stayed at Advena hotel during my business visit to Osnabrück, it's a nice hotel and got a really big gym. Breakfast was lavish, and the staff was also very friendly. The hotel is right opposite the railway station and in a very prime location. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Spent 1 night in the hotel whilst visiting old haunts in Osnabruck where we were stationed in the mid 70s. Comfortable clean rooms and helpful staff. Good restaurant and a hearty breakfast. If I have one niggle it is parking. The hotel shares the parking place with the fitness centre so it is difficult to find a space. This needs looking at because it could put potential guests off. To be fair we were allocated a staff members parking space in the staff area.
