Best Western Plus Hotel Fino Osaka Kitahama

Booked this hotel for 4 nights in Kitahama and travelled after Tokyo to Osaka. There are 2 Metro stations near the hotel- Yodoyabashi and Kitahama. Yodoyabashi is about 550 Met straight walk to the Hotel and is located on the Midosuji line (Red) which connects major train stations like Osaka/ Shin-Osaka where as Kitahama metro station is closer to the hotel but requires an aditional change while travelling to the main spots/ Osaka. About the hotel, booked an executive room with a double bed and a sofa cum bed. Room size was small for a family of 3. Washroom size was also small and there was a constant stench of undried laundry in the washrooms. Beds were comfy to sleep. No Coffee/ POD machine but a drip coffee and green tea sachets with a mini refrigerator is placed in the room. There is also a long table with a chair. Moving with luggage in the room was cumbersome. The most basic thing like a door stopper should be there. There is a lawsons close by and a very nice burger chain by the name of MO's and a starbucks just next to the Hotel. There's also a SPA right next to the hotel. Neighbourhood was ok. Staff was ok and speaks good english. There is a coffee machine at the reception but only dispenses black coffee. It must be 20 minutes away from the central Osaka. Nara is about 55 minutes away and requires 2 train changes. Kyoto is 40 minutes away on the JR iine which can be boarded at Osaka/ Shin-Osaka. There is a nice boulangerie by the name of Pain Karato near the hotel (Next to one of the Kitahama Station entries) and please try curry snack from the eatery. Good Experience overall.

Location was great. Only about a minute walk to the nearest metro station (Kitahama). Easy, direct 3 stops to Dotonbori area or a 35 minute walk if you are upto it. The room was fairly spacious with a kettle and fridge. No wardrobe, just a rail with some coat hangers, which wasn't a problem for us. Bathroom was spacious with a shower over a bathtub. All toiletries provided (including hair conditioner, which isn't always provided). There were additional toiletries available (help yourself) near the reception desk. Laundrette, handy facility. One washer dryer, one washing machine and one tumble dryer. /Fortunately we didn't have to wait, but I can imagine during peak periods, there only being minimal machines, may be problem. Free coffee near reception, 2pm to 10pm. Cannot comment on breakfast as we chose room only. Reception staff could have been a bit more friendly and helpful Overall, a good choice for a clean, comfortable and reasonably priced room in Osaka.

The reception staff is really good, accommodating, friendly and welcoming. Hotel amenities are good. The hotel is very close to the train station, ATM and convenient stores. The Osaka Castle park is very walkable. Wish we could stay longer.

This is definitely a recommended hotel in Osaka. The rooms are relatively larger than the average in Japan and equipped with the expected amenities. The staff were very accommodating. After checking-in, we forgot on the counter at the front desk a small plastic bag with thousands of Yens. The amazing staff who checked us in was fun to chat with and he also returned to us the lost money when we arrived later back to the hotel. I forgot the guy's name, but he is really a star. He was very chatty and gave recommendations. I loved it! The breakfast was delicious. I don't eat pork and there were some items every morning which contained pork, hence limited my options. Nevertheless, there was enough to choose from. The salad bar is probably the best feature of the breakfast. Plenty of fresh ingredients. I ended up eating a healthy "mountain" of salad every day. The only thing that I feel they can improve is the internet connection. I was using it a lot and several times the internet lost connection or the signal went low and I had to switch to my phone's data to continue browsing. Other than that, everything else was perfect.

This was our last leg of the Japan tour, and this BW property near Kitahma metro station is conveniently located near Metro station, but the shopping areas are not within walking distances. Anyway metro connectivity is there to commute to the city, or other shopping areas, and convenience stores nearby can get you some quick bites. The reception lobby area is good and the reception staff are polite and welcoming. Rooms are pretty small and there is no proper place for placing the furtniture. Also, the bed is against the wall on one side and so access is a problem. The room was so crammed that movement for two people is not easy inside the room. This should be ideally sold only as single occupancy only. The thing that we disliked most is that they do not provide free drinking water in the rooms. I first thought they forgot to keep them in the room, but upon checking with reception, I was advised to pay at the kiosk on the 7th floor and get it !! This was our first experience ever, making the guests pay for water. This mean attitude speaks volumes about the management of the property. Also, the kettle wasn't working but was replaced immediately. There is a small breakfast area in the basement, and the had western spread which was ok. Overall it was an average experience for our last hotel stay in Japan.

Wonderful hotel, clean, well-located, comfortable and modern with a helpful, kind staff. Reasonable rates, too. The only thing I would say could be improved is their dryer in the laundry facilities; it doesn't work well. Other than that, would absolutely stay again in a heartbeat. Don't miss it!

It is Tuesday 16 , 3 am local time , can not sleep ! I checked in few hours ago , for stay over ten days , it is business trip no fun ! just work and meeting , not like the trip I took with my girlfriend #1 in January this year in ShinJuku , friendly reception fast check in understanding English really well , to me it is a 3 stars hotel almost like Holiday Inn express in Candan , not a fancy place but clean comfortable room surprised my room reasonably good size , comfy bedding , no restaurant on site but lot of restaurants and 7 -11 plus subway stations nearby ! good budget friendly hotel to stay , if you planning visit Osaka !
