Best Western Plus Hotel University Inn, Olean

I drive a tractor trailer for a living, but hate sleeping in my truck. Ive stayed here twice now and have zero complaints. The front desk is very friendly and accommodating and the rooms are very clean. I always wake up at 0500 and coffee and breakfast are ready to go, right on time!

The room was very clean. Easy check in and out. Friendly staff. The shower pressure was awesome! The drawback: the mattress was very cheap and uncomfortable. But if I were in town again, I'd be fine with staying here.

Staff were very responsive and welcoming, Breakfast was more than expected with fresh berries and whipped cream for waffles as well as different kinds of omelets. We had no issues with our rooms and we enjoyed the pool! Excellent price.

The rooms were clean. The staff was wonderful. There seemed to be a lot of people loitering in the parking lot at night. This made me uncomfortable. My teenage daughter wanted to go down and workout at night and I did not let her because of this. The lobby, halls, and elevator were dated and didn't smell great.

I stayed here recently on a business trip. Overall very good experience- room was clean, staff friendly, location was good, and the breakfast was reasonable. I will stay here again if I find myself in the town again.

The service was well beyond your average hotel stay. The staff go out of their way to make your stay happy and just like home. The staff are caring,the rooms are clean,everything was clean and in order.Did I mention the breakfast?? It is everything you need or want. Everything was fresh. If you needed assisstance the staff was there ready and willing to help with a smile.

This was a great hotel with comfy beds, a nice shower and good wifi! I enjoyed Best Western Plus University Inn. As I am a member, I was also given chocolate and water. The hotel is also right next to an Applebees!

Attentive staff and amenities convenient. Conveniently located to the highway. Came to go to concert for granddaughter at St Bonaventure. Right down the road from Bonaventure, so ideal for an overnight.

I will definitely be coming back to this hotel .I came to visit my family that we haven't seen in years and chose to stay at this hotel because of the pool ( I have kids that love to swim) and I am so glad I did l. The staff was amazing and the room was so nice. The hotel is not outdated and run down... My famy enjoy the stay we had there. The breakfast was nice. The staff addressed any issue we may have had while there with respect and super fast .

It all started with a death in the family and my search to find accommodation for 12 people with children for 2 to 3 nights,a place that had a pool and morning breakfast.The best Western was that place

Best Western is my go to place when I am visiting my daughter at St. Bonaventure. It's clean and has amenities like an indoor pool and complimentary breakfast. Staff are friendly and professional. Will definitely be back :)

Stayed at this Hotel a few weeks ago while attending Funeral for My Sister at St Elizabeth Convent. My Wife and I were part of a group of 8 coming from MA/NH/FL. I have never received so much Hospitality from a Hotel Staff in my 77 Years of Travel. MGR Scott along with Asst. Mgr Corey and Logan were Outstanding, Yeah Corey I just Promotted Ya. Three of a Kind that will beat a Full House anyday. Great Job, Room and Food. Thank You All.

We stayed at the Best Western University Inn on our first day of our vacation. It was nice looking on the outside with ample parking. We used their cart, available at the front door, to bring our luggage from the car to the 2nd floor on the elevator. The room was nicely decorated. The bathroom large and clean. The only negative was a smell of smoke, though this was a non-smoking room. The TV worked great. Lots of channels. The WiFi was easy to log onto and fast & free. The beds were great, though the pillows could be firmer. The AC worked well and whisper-quiet. Water pressure was a bit low in the shower, but OK. Breakfast the next day was great. Waffles, eggs, sausage. Overall a very good stay and the desk was very nice.

Spent one night in Olean on a motorcycle trip. Came upon this gem through a google search. Great location in the center of Olean, exceptional front desk check in experience. Hotel was immaculate, room was in perfect order. If i ever need to stay in Olean again, this is the place I will stay.

Can't think of anything to complain about. I guess if anything they need some lounge chairs by the pool. I know it's small, but c'mon.... it'd be nice to relax. But yeah.... breakfast was great. Room was clean. Staff was fine. Location was solid. Even got a discount at Applebee's because of my hotel choice! All in all a near perfect stay! Would definitely recommend.

A pleasant stay for a one night stop over on our way to Manchester, VT. Staff was very friendly, and set the tone for the stay. Room was clean, and breakfast was great with lots of choices. We could walk to the Applebees right next door for a 10 percent discount by showing our Best Western room key!

During a visit to Olean with family, a family member became ill. The hotel staff was professional and caring when assisting us. Due to the emergency and the need for the person to be transfered to another hospital they allowed us to cancel the remainder of the trip and refund the money because they knew we would need to rent another room in another city. They also assisted us in obtaining a new hotel in the city we would need to stay in. We are not from the area and this assistance showed they are more interested in the service they provide than they are in the money from the room. I will, without doubt, return to this location whenever I am in the area! They are wonderful!

The walls are thin and had to listen to my neighbor have a conversation with someone in their room while trying to fall asleep. Beds are uncomfortable. The staff was pleasant but I definitely should have just paid the extra $25 to stay at one of the nicer places in town.

Upon arrival the front desk person was there to check me in. Check in was a breeze. My room was very tidy and clean. I had adequate towels, soap, and other essential items. The temperature of the room is controlled by a box near the window and it kept the room just as we desired it to be. The breakfast consisted of waffle maker, breads, bagels, fruit. scrambled eggs, sausage links, cereal, boiled eggs, juice, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, yogurt, and breakfast bars. The pool temp was colder than expected and was only able to stay in for 10 mins due to the coolness. Overall it was a great time and we will be back.

Stayed overnight to rest on a long distance drive. The hotel is located in town a short drvie from the freeway. This location is a huge advantage, as the Inn is near multiple shops, restaurants and the University. Exterior and interior of buidling were cozy and inviting in a light winter snow. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful and check in and check out were simple. Room was clean, quiet and cozy and contained a refrigerator and microwave. Coffee and three options of "grab and go" breakfast offered. Overall, the hotel exceeded my expectations.

I was very impressed with the service I received ftom this hotel. Checkin was fast and he was very friendly. He was mopping the floor since it was snowing. At checkout I was highly impressed I have not put in my scraper since I had been traveling in the south. But he asked if I needed to use one. He handed me the one that the hotel lets customer use. Then he asked if I would like him to clean my car fir me. I was pleasantly stunned no one has ever asked before. That was going above and beyond what is expected. If I happen to be back in the area I will defiantly stay here again.

Breakfast on a Sunday morning ended at 9:00? Due to a miscommunication our family missed out, so it cost us more money to go elsewhere. We found the mattresses very uncomfortable and furniture somewhat worn. Additionally, I slipped and fell on the bathroom floor. The flooring in the bathroom and condensation from a hot shower is not a good mix.

The Best Western plus has a super location that is close to everything including Saint Bonaventure University! Plenty of Restaurants nearby. The Walmart shopping center is just across the street As well as a Home Depot, strip mall, Verizon store and McDonald's

As always this Best Western always knocks it out of the park. Friendly staff and very modern clean rooms. They must spend a fortune on the mattresses and bedding. Whenever I am in the Olean area this is the place that I come to.

use this motel because of its cleanliness and exceptional employee willingness to go the extra mile .. have never had a less than perfect clean room , the breakfast buffet is no kings meal but it's all good from yogurt and juice , fruit and waffles and a daily rotation of sausage or bacon with eggs ... all kinds of breads and muffins..

Was working in Smethport PA and need a place to stay. Never tried this hotel before and its rate was acceptable. Check in was quick and easy, room was clean, internet was good, tv channels was terrible. Did not try breakfast and check out was easy but did not receive a copy of the receipt.

The staff is outstanding and they pay attention to each and every guest. If your child goes to St. Bonaventure or if you are in the area for another reason, it is the perfect place to stay! It is near all shopping and offers great discounts at Applebee's and the local gym. Clean, friendly and quiet—even on rowdy SBU weekends! Wouldn't stay anywhere else in the area!

I've stayed in other hotels in the area and this is by far the nicest in terms of accomodations, service and breakfast. I would definitely recommend this as my first choice in the area and will be staying there in the future.

Staff was super friendly and when I didn't want them to be they understood. Great place for families as well as the suite included a kitchen and much more room. Place was really nice for a country town like Olean.

This hotel seems to attract people on Harleys, which we aren't, but if you aren't, don't be put off. It is clean, quiet (except when the bikes leave!), and pleasant with decent service at a reasonable price. The breakfast room is cramped, and the food there is only passable, but you can get whet you need (and what many of us usually have for breakfast anyway!).

A little disappointed with this place, the reviews looked good so I booked it. Right now the air conditioner is making noises it shouldn't be as I try to rest. Wanted a cup of water but the machine was locked... couldn't even get cold water. The breakfast area has about 7 tables at best, can't wait to see how that plays out in the morning. Very small pool, extremely small fitness room. The room its self nothing to write home about. Bed low to floor and not that great. Seems clean enough, but I have to tell you when I stay at Holiday inn Express in Kingston it's absolutely top notch!!

Unfortunately the heating and air conditioning units need adjustments occasionally and we were more than happy to come and fix the noise during your stay in less than 1 hour to allow you to get some rest. This hotel was very clean and comfortable, The girl who checked us in was fantastic.our room was spacious and spotless. upon check in they only had two rooms available. the girl asked if we would mind by the elevator, and we took that room. The elevator was not a problem, but the guest in the lobby having a party till one am was a problem. We honestly do not feel that it is up to us to complain about guest doing wrong when that should be front desk. It is not like they couldn't be heard.

Bath tubs did not have bath tub stopers to soak went to the desk abd asked why do plug manger said I didnt think any rooms came with plugs for the tubs had to go towal mart to buy mine, and bath room floors are to slippey when wet

Very clean through out - In the bedroom, the bathroom and all public areas. Excellent choice of items for the breakfast including hot items. Comfortable sized room. Quick check in and express check out. Very quick and efficient.

I recently went on a college visit with my daughter. After reading reviews from different hotels I decided on this one. Great location. It's on the main road 3 minutes from St. Bonaventure University, across the street from Walmart, Bj's and other shopping. Across the parking is an Applebees restaurant. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was clean. Looked recently renovated. Only catch no closest in the room. If I had to visit again I would definitely stay here.

All of the staff at this hotel are extremely pleasant and helpful. They are proactive with their service. In particular I would love to commend the woman who maintains the breakfast space as she was extremely hard-working, very friendly & pleasant. The breakfast, included in the low price, was very good.

We were coming in for a funeral and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfast had a good variety. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. Will stay here again.

I unexpectedly had to stay here because of weather conditions. The staff was very courteous on the phone and in person. The rooms had new furniture and everything was very up to date. Things were clean, orderly, and enjoyable. A quality hotel room for the cost.

This property has just undergone an entire floor renovation, and it is beautiful. The rooms are large, well furnished and comfortable. Location convenient right on main route, across from Walmart and near several restaurants. Coffee available all day. Breakfast was nice and well managed. Staff friendly and helpful.

Good location near many restaurants, banks and shopping choices, nicely designed clean rooms, good lighted parking, reasonably priced, excellent customer service was provided to me by Henry, tea, coffee and fresh fruit available.

The rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast is good. This hotel is close to everything in town. The staff is very accommodating. The pool is nice and there is also a decent exercise facility on site.

We stayed one night near the end of a three week trip. We have always found Best Westerns to offer just what we need- a clean comfortable room at a good price. This fit our needs. We would stay again.

Always love staying at a Best Western I find everyone friendly. Had a girl that cleaned my room new I would be outside most of the day had the heat on in my room and a light on. The place was very quiet at night easy to get a good nights sleep. Breakfast was wonderful .

My husband and I stayed 2 nights. Our first night was fine, but our second night.....1:30am in the morning, someone actually had a key to our room and was able to get in, but thank goodness my husband had the lock on, inside our room, otherwise this person would have been able to get in our room while we were sleeping.

I spotted this from the highway road sign and decided to stop. I almost gave up as it is several miles from the exit off of I-86, and the signage is not prominent. Check-in was quick and easy and the desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. I had a large room which had a comfortable bed and was very quiet, even though it was on the first floor not far from the fitness center. The desk clerk was also extremely helpful in recommending restaurants and that was how I found Beef 'n Barrel, which was a fantastic choice! Great night's stay.

We were here on a family emergency visit. The Best Western is a clean room and decent breakfast. It's okay by us and we'll be back again. It's close to main st Olean and the businesses close by. Very convenient location.

Have stayed here before and it is still dependable for friendly staff, clean, quiet rooms, and good location. Shopping across the street, only two miles to the University, and convenient to the highway. Good stopover place.

We are in day one of a two day visit. Folks have been very friendly and helpful. Hotel has recently been updated (and they're still working on it, but we've heard no disturbances). Extra touches everywhere - fresh fruit, orange spa water and cookies at front desk, crayons for children in waiting area, fantastic selection of hot and cold items at breakfast bar (seriously, if you can't be satisfied with this layout, you can't be satisfied!). Rooms extremely clean, spacious, bed super comfortable (I awoke without back pain for the first time in weeks!). Indoor pool, fitness room, easy parking. Movie theatre and shopping plaza right across the street. Highly recommend.

I had an amazing stay with Best western Hotel in Olean, NY. I travel to upstate NY quite few times in a Year and had some bad experiences in the past but this is my first time in Best Western and I have no complaints. Staff was very professional, welcoming, cordial and know the customers. They price matched and proved, customers first than money or business. Very helpful and has suggested few good places to eat around as well. Breakfast was arranged in a timely manner and was very tasty too. They should increase the lobby size though. I definitely recommend this hotel for your stay.

Best Western does a good job making your stay pleasant. Breakfast has a variety of foods. There is an indoor pool and a fitness center. Located near St. Bonaventure and near Olean stores as well. Staff is very helpful.

We spent a night here purely by chance after a deer collision on I-86 left us without a vehicle. Rodney at the front desk went above and beyond assisting us and making a difficult situation better. We were allowed to stay in the room until transportation was arranged to the nearest car rental agency with inventory, which happened to be Hornell. Rodney's help was the definition of good customer service. All the staff were helpful and supportive.

I stayed at this hotel on my way out to Massachusetts for the weekend. It was chosen primarily based on being a good stopping point for the evening with a very reasonable price. I was very pleasantly surprised upon checking in, every member of staff I encountered was extremely friendly and genuine both in the evening and during the morning. The check-in went smoothly and the room appeared to be very clean and fresh, not at all tired. This hotel exceeded my expectations for this level in the Best Western chain and is probably one of the best overall experiences I have had at a hotel in the last couple of years. It definitely colored my opinion of the other hotels during the trip, which did not live up to the bar that was set on my night here. I am not sure how often my travels will bring me through here, but I will definitely have this on my list for when I do.

The rooms are nice sized with comfortable beds. They provide a large choice of food for their Continental breakfast. It is a very clean motel with friendly helpful workers. We have stayed there before and will do so again when in the area.

Great hotel, clean comfortable rooms, have stayed here 2 years in a row.Plenty of space in each room. Continental breakfast and a work out room. Conveniently located so yo can walk almost anywhere if you choose.

Conveniently located and close to anything you'd need to see/do in this city. Very friendly staff at front desk and throughout. An older hotel to be sure BUT still is very clean and well kept. Rooms and washrooms are roomy. Beds are comfortable and everything is in working condition. Wi-Fi can be slow at times. Wide variety of quality breakfast products available to choose from. Would definitely stay at this property when next in the area. But would not take front desk's suggestion to eat at Applebee's next door. The worst unit in this restaurant chain I have ever visited.

What can you say...it's a budget chain hotel in a small town, so it's exactly like every other budget chain hotel in the US. Not necessarily bad, but you know what to expect, and you get exactly that. Lemon water in the lobby, waffles, eggs, sausage/bacon, cereal, etc for breakfast. Clean rooms, pretty quiet. Decent fitness center, although the dumbells do go up to 55lbs, which was nice. Applebees next door. You didn't come to Olean to have fun, so you may as well sit at Applebees and drink wine and play games on your phone to pass the time.

If you go to Olean NY and have to stay over there are several Motel choices but Best western is your only real choice. Stay there. You won't be disappointed. The manager here really wants his place to be the best and he insures it is. Most all of the check in/out staff are customer service professionals. A couple are down right outstanding.

Great place for a great price, and the staff were friendly. A housekeeper even greeted me and wished me a great night. The hotel was extremely clean as was my room. I have stayed at other hotels and noise from the road has disturbed my sleep in the past, but at this hotel I did not hear any road noise, and I slept very well.

I have to commend Rodney from the front desk! He was amazing. I had a foot injury and he helped me find a room on the first floor in a sold out hotel - above and beyond. He even brought me ice so I wouldn't have to walk extra. Apparently the people that had the room before me had smoked in the bathroom (which is against hotel policy) and I am highly allergic; he brought an air purifier in to clean it out. I cannot say enough about the amazing customer service. I would highly recommend this hotel, just for that reason.

We were in town for just one night for a family function. We've stayed other places in the area, and thought we'd give the Best Western a try. No disappointment here! The staff was professional, yet friendly, the room was clean and spacious, and the breakfast was more than adequate. (Let's be real - the complimentary breakfasts offered at most hotels these days are pretty homogeneous. The eggs at this hotel were much tastier than most.) We were checked in and checked out by the same employee (there's some dedication). She was a highlight of our stay - funny and welcoming and professional all at once. Room rates are very reasonable. We will definitely stay here again.

Newer BW hotel, great staff, good breakfast and near restaurants and stores in Olean. Easy commute to ski or play in Allegheny State Park. Note: Rt.417 is 20-25 min. GPS rt can be difficult.in snow as it goes off the main roads. Excellent place for a chain hotel.

I really like this hotel. It is comfortable, clean and near anything a person could possibly need. There is a SuperWalmart and various shopping options such as Old Navy across the street. The theater is nearby. It has a small but clean pool and fitness center. They even check out DVDs and give free popcorn, which I think kids would really like. The breakfast is pretty good, too. This is my 3rd or 4th stay here and I've never been disappointed.

Skiing with my grandson, decided to stay overnight n ski next day. About 35 minutes from Holiday Valley ski resort. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We ate breakfast in the morning before leaving. Would stay here again.

This was a nice hotel for the money spent. I would stay again We were here for a polar Express trip. Breakfast was included which was nice! The room was clean. There was a coffee maker and hair dryer available in the room

I meant to write this in August after staying at this hotel but forgot! Upon finding the card with the helpful person's name, I thought i would write a quick review. This location was very clean and the staff was great. The help at the desk (night and day) and the assistant Sue during breakfast was so friendly and helpful we would definitely stay again. The location is close to many stores and restaurants, with sidewalks on both sides of the street for easy walking.

This was a good price at a good location with great amenities. Had a pool, small yet adequate work out room, breakfast, with a friendly staff keeping it stocked willing to answer questions and help. They even have a free movie dvd collection to choose from with surprise popcorn. I am hard to surprise. This place is well kept pleasant stay.

The hotel was great. Great customer service at check in and checkout. Hotel and room were very clean. Breakfast was above average for a hotel in this price range. It is a few miles off of the interstate, but would be extremely convenient if visiting St. Bonaventure University.

The breakfast selection was out of this world. There was dried fruit for oatmeal, mix ins for waffles. In addition, there was a DVD player in the room. we enjoyed this as we had bought a DVD earlier in the day and was excited to watch it.

Very well maintained facility. Everything worked well and the staff was very friendly. I even saw a housekeeper down the hall who said hello. That doesn't happen everywhere. Only gripe is thin walls. The couple next door had a disagreement about something and it was too easy to hear them yelling at other. Thankfully it didn't last long.

Although the hotel was what you would normally expect from a Best WEstern, the location was right along an active train track. We were hearing the whistle up through midnight. Otherwise we could not get our room cold enough for sleeping(usu like 65). Hot breakfast as usual.

This hotel is incredible for the value. We have stayed there for years a d have never been disappointed. There are so many amenities that other hotels dont offer, including binders full.of movies you can play in your room for free! They even include the popcorn. The rooms are clean and staff outgoing and helpful. The woman who serves breakfast takes pride in her work and ho early cares about the guests. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Its truly one of a kind!

this hotel is very clean, the breakfast had a great variety of food. The scrambled eggs were especially good. The only complaint I have has to do with rude guests who think they are the only ones in the rooms. Very loud talking above us and they walked like thunderous elephants.

I would recommend this hotel it was very clean and had a great breakfast. We had a great time and was close to town and will be back to visit soon. We are traveling to another destination and are planning on using the same hotel chain.

Stayed here during a last minute visit. The hotel seems very new at first look and upon further look, new and clean. I booked through a third party which I was worried about but called to check up and all was fine. Breakfast is really good and seemed well tended to. The only negative about our stay was that you could hear noisy young neighbors through the door adjoining our room. But frankly, we chose not to report it to staff (we're in our late 20's and figured we had probably been loud for them at some point too). The short: Would definitely stay here again, wish I stayed longer. Beds were really comfy, shower really nice. If you're someone who doesn't like noise ask for a room without an adjoining door.

The room we were given first was a non smoking room but smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. We spoke to the hostess at the front desk who promptly gave us another room which was much better. It was clean and affordable.

Fantastic hotel, this is the place we stay when moving our children into St Bonaventure University. Very clean helpful very pleasant staff! Convenient to restaurants and shopping! We drove through through the state park absolutely beautiful area!

Inside and outside decor has been beautified. Pool has been fixed. New manager is friendly and helpful. Cleaning and kitchen staff always very pleasant and helpful. We still miss the previous owner, but the hotel has vastly improved since last review.

Well it's sort of plain. Nothing stands out. Staff were friendly let's see if they apply the BW travel card. I would stay again it is a nice property, I did not bother with the breakfast I like cooked to order

We had a very relaxing, comfortable, 4 night stay at this hotel. The employees were friendly and accomodating. Our daughter utilized the fitness room and even though it's small, she was able to do what she wanted. We didn't use the indoor pool, mostly because of time constraints. The location of the hotel was helpful. Our daughter mentioned that she could hear the person in the next room snoring, so I guess that could be an issue. Fortunately, my husband and I didn't have that issue.

I had friends stay here and the hotel looked nice when I visited. However, the staff kept goofing up my reservation. I called in advance to confirm and they had me down for two double rooms. I only needed one. When they cancelled one they actually cancelled both. My five minute phone call turned into a half hour. He claimed he fixed it and all was well. I called during regular business hours that Monday to have it checked to be sure it was right, because I didn't trust it was taken care of. I was told I had a reservation for one night instead of two and it was a king bed. I needed my original one if two nights with 2 beds, as I had four people coming. Basically the end result was this was my problem, not theirs and the woman did absolutely nothing to correct the matter. So they accidentally booked me twice. Deleted both reservations instead of one, and then switched it to a king. The end result was I found a nice hotel down the street that was accommodating and my reservation was accurate and easy.

Clean, easily accessible hotel in Olean. There was some construction going on the main road that the hotel was off of and traffic was pretty busy. But the hotel is centrally located, nice staff, clean and comfortable.

We were pleased with the hotel being newer. It had a decent pool my children enjoyed. Towels were not kept up on in the pool. The room was nice and quiet as we had requested a quiet location. The request was considered and appreciated. Breakfast was not a great experience. The gal was overwhelmed and it showed in her attitude, her words and the lack of cleanliness and full availability of food. She started taking things away before the time had ended on the hotel clock and my phone clock. Other than the bad breakfast experience, I would definitely stay here again.

Front desk are helpful and the room was nice and clean. Free breakfast, traditional continental with eggs, sausage and waffles like most hotels. The pool was small but clean and workout room had treadmill, I think elliptical and weights.

We arrived late Friday night, and left early Saturday. When we returned to our hotel room at 2:30 pm no laundry/housekeeping service had been there. The next day, Sunday we again left our room early by 8 am and when we returned at 6:00 pm we had not had housekeeping again. Front desk gave us excuses and no one ever apologized for inconvenience. Breakfast ran out of oatmeal packets, yogurt, milk. Milk container had no lid. Doughnuts were moist.

2nd visit to this hotel. Rooms are clean, location is good for shops and restaurants. Front staff could use a bit of help learning how to understand their customers needs. For a non working room phone you shouldn't be told, it can be looked at tomorrow. In this case she waa told what was needed waa a simple coiled wire change. Aside from that all was great

I've stayed at this Best Western a number of times over the years and never bother to look at other options in Olean as I've always had good experiences here. The rooms are always clean and in good condition, the staff friendly and a good breakfast. The pool is very small and was actually closed on this visit due to some issue with the chlorine pump.

Stayed for one overnight while in the area to visit St. Bonaventure. The hotel was clean and looked remodeled. Staff were friendly. The AC unit in our room made a very loud rattling sound. We couldn't sleep and had to turn it off. Also the door to the room didn't lock unless you slammed it. You had to pull it very tightly to get the lock to click. The beds were comfortable but the pillows are tiny. Breakfast was good but the seating area was very small. Our stay wasn't bad, but it was just ok.

I recently stayed overnight at the Best Western Plus University Inn in Olean, NY. On previous trips to this area, I had stayed at another hotel nearby. But this time the Best Western Plus University Inn offered me a lower rate, and I'm glad I gave it a try. The hotel was convenient for my needs, and my room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The mattress, pillows and sheets were all of good quality. The television had a good variety of channels and was large enough to be easily seen. The wireless internet was fast and easy to connect, and worked without interruption. The included breakfast was a nice bonus, and I was pleased that there were several hot food choices (scrambled egg/cheese omelets and bacon) as well as typical continental breakfast items. With their low fat yogurt, I was able to make some healthy choices. The front desk staff were courteous and professional. All in all I was very pleased with my stay and would happily stay here again or recommend it to other travelers in the Olean area.

Came here for a bodybuilding show in the area. The service was excellent and had no issues otherwise. The fitness center had good, clean equipment; the wifi given to us worked very well, and the breakfast served was very good. Only issue would have otherwise is the price, but you definitely get what you pay for and that's quality.

This is a First class operation. They will exceed your expectations! Recently remodeled this last autumn, so the rooms are clean and comfortable. Also they have an amazing yogurt bar that is part of their breakfast spread.

We had an amazing room that had a full kitchen. The staff at this hotel were very friendly and professional. The location is very good, close to St. Bonaventure University. Also close to shopping and restaurants. This hotel was clean and comfortable and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Olean, NY.

We have stayed at this Best Western a couple times before to visit our son at st. Bonaventure. As usual the room was clean, staff were friendly and very responsive when we needed extra towels/pillows. There was a team that seemed to bother other guests with noise at night but we couldn't hear them from our room. Overall a good place for a short trip.

We stay at the Best Western every time we visit Olean, which is often. The first morning the breakfast was not good but the second day, when Sue McNeil, was on duty, it was excellent. She was always filling the coffee, cleaning tables, and asking guests if they need anything. Always with a smile on her face. She is definitely an asset to your motel chain. Keep up the good work...we will definitely be back.

This hotel was nice, clean and in a good location. The breakfast was the only part that was 'ok,' but that is generally the way continental breakfasts go. The staff was polite and professional. If I'm in Olean again, I would stay at this hotel.

Great location on the main street - close to food, gas, stores and other necessities. Convenient parking lot - very close to hotel entrance. Has 3-wheeled luggage valet carts that are very easy to handle. If you need anything, just ask Henry at the front desk.

This hotel is a great place to stay. The staff is always friendly and courteous. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is good. It is not over priced and you get your monies worth. You will not be disappointed.

Perfect spot. Hotel pool for the kids always makes the +6hr drive an adventure. Great breakfast spread that keeps everyone happy - the assortment was impressive and had healthy options. The Hostess Sue builds on the general assortment and is eager to cater to the visitors needs. She also has a secret toy closest and can make a toddlers day with a prize. our stay of three nights were great. The staff was great, the room was clean, the breakfasts they offered were excellent, along with the breakfast staff. She was very personable, clean, took extra care in keeping the area very clean. The food she served was fresh, and even had hot items each morning. We will definitely stay again when we go there. They even took off $20.00 for the first night stay because we came there to attend a funeral for a friend. That alone says a lot about this Best Western Plus University Inn of Olean, NY

I've staying at the Best Western of Olean for past 5 or 6 years twice a year. I have never had a problem with anything. The staff is great (Cindy and Sue), my room is always immaculate and the location is good. There are places to eat and shop if you need something.

I've stayed here in the past and was pleased however this weekend when I stayed here I found bed bugs and was bitten. I explained to the front desk that I was bit by bed bugs I stayed on the first floor and was told I'm sorry we will call an exterminator. The response was very unprofessional and tells me nothing in place to accommodate issues that come up. I was not expecting a free stay however this stay was very costly and would never stay here again.

The room was clean, the beds were comfortable. After a very long day on the road visiting colleges it was wonderful to come to this hotel for much needed rest. My husband and children really enjoyed the pool and the hot breakfast in the morning was a treat after nights of cold hardboiled eggs and bagels.

This Best Western has certainly gone all out in its renovation of the guest rooms and lobby area. New carpeting, new bedding all is done -- even the outside landscaping. The breakfast is perfect with many selections and Sue there to answer any questions about the area.

This hotel is a very nice property... centrally located and clean in and around. However, it would have been nice to have been recognized as a Diamond-level Best Western Rewards Member. The young lady at the desk did not greet me at all upon entering, and instead, just went right to the business of checking me in. Additionally, as a Diamond-level member, I am also entitled to the best available room, which I certainly did not get. Despite the fact that I reserved the room online several days prior to arrival, the room I was given was not on an end or even on the favorable side or floor of the hotel. We were placed under a family with children who ran around late at night and early in the morning. I was given no room option whatsoever, nor was I told this was the only room available. As if this wasn't enough, I also slept literally two feet from a refrigerator that made noises all night (it was placed in a corner convenient to an outlet... not convenient to a sleeper). The breakfast area was filthy (dirty tables and spilled liquids on the floor) and unattended at 8:30 AM. Upon checkout, my bill was wrong. It stated that I was due back $100.53, which was an error that would have given me a free night. I brought this to the attention of the desk clerk in the morning. I was not thanked for catching this. I stay in Best Westerns around the world... probably 30-40 nights a year, and unfortunately, this is a problem with their rewards program. Some (many?) locations do not deliver what is promised on the BW Rewards website. It's a shame, because I feel it is a nice property.

Excellent nights sleep, easy check in & out. Highly recommend staying here. We had fun swimming in the pool. The taste & amount of food at the breakfast area was outstanding. Lots of channels to choose from on T.V. Just across the road is Home Depot, Wal-Mart, & alot of discount shops that offer great deals.

Our stay at the Best Western was very nice. Room was nice, fit the family just fine. What was very nice is that they did NOT charge us for the roll away bed we needed. The pool was great heated to the right temp. Very close to our destination. Just minutes away.

A place to rest my head on family weekend. I must say that I came in to this thinking I can not believe my mother didn't book one of the many chains I stay in. I mean best western is a place for a budget or when you are in crisis to go to (ex: plane delays, cancellation, or no other options). However it was better than expected with free wifi and free breakfast everyday it was pretty good. It must have been for family weekend because my mother said they didn't do that before but the hors d'oeuvres were pretty good BUT I was scared because I not know how long they sat out! So now on to the bad things, they say heated pool but I don't think so unless my temperature is running high. Then I have a service animal and called to confirm him coming and they said they do NOT ALLOW PETS, well hunny he's not a pet!!!! He's a companion! Then coming back into my room I see a roach scurry across the hall floor. Are you serious!!!??? But all in all a place to lay your head is what it is good for. Besides the possible roach infestation and not being able to bring my friend it was and okay stay again a place for a budget and a pillow for your head.

We love that we can swim early and exercise our normal routine. You also have alot of gluten free items for breakfast. ThanksEveryone was nice and friendly. We got 10% off on Applebee's next door by showing key. Nice added item we did not know..Coming back in October.

I had a quick overnight stay in Olean. I was pleasantly surprised by the Best Western there. The staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was clean and well kept, and my room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The pool and exercise room looked nice, but (unfortunately) I didn't have time to enjoy either personally. For the price, I think this is a great place to stay, and I plan to stay there again the next time I am in the area.

The location along the Oswego River just downstream of the Lock entrance at riverside provides our room balconies a most pleasant observation place to view both the boating and the opposite shoreline daily activities. We also enjoyed the fine dining at Alex's in the hotel. The excellant location of the hotel at Osweg provides us the base ffrom which we take daily sightseeing trips in the Lake Ontario Region. This was our sedcond year of spending our vacation at this hotel base.

This hotel is excellent and we had a great experience. Breakfast was better than most chain comp ones. Applebees is right beside and offers a 10% discount if staying at the hotel. Would def stay here again.

Got here a little after 3pm and was immediately checked in by the two super nice ladies at the desk. Got to my room, it was clean and smelled great! I'm just staying for one night but will stay here again if the event I'm attending is in the same place next year. Shopping plaza that includes Walmart, Home Depot and several places to eat and shop practically across the street.

We loved the new BW plus in Olean. Very clean, large rooms with fridge and microwave. Comfortable beds and nice size bathrooms. Very nice breakfast with hot offerings. The large flat screen TV was a nice addition.

Nice, clean place with a good breakfast. Desk people are accommodating and friendly. Location is good: not far from downtown but not too close. Parking is fine, there is a Walmart across the road and places to eat nearby. The room TV is good and the stations available are OK, but nothing special. Overall, I'd stay here again if visiting Olean.

Came in around 11.00 pm. Good service and a nice and clean hotel. Very nice rooms and exactly how it should be. Finding it a little bit outsude the centre of Oleans was easy. Great stay for a family passing through.

This hotel was worth more than the price! I am with a travel softball team and it is awesome when the room cones with a refrigerator. The room itself is very spacious and the size of the bathroom was impressive. I would highly recommend this place. My only ?complaint? is in the front of their binder in the room is a menu for Sparky's restaurant. I do not recommend that place at all! See my review

Over the last 25 years we've made many trips from Pittsburgh to various spots in northern New England so a different route was in order. We settled on driving up through Cook Forest on a late Friday afternoon with a stop in Olean and this was a good choice. Chuckled when we pulled in and saw a small circle of "sports parents" in chairs enjoying beverages since that was us 10-15 years ago. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful, new carpeting, was nice, clean room, great shower, and the breakfast was as good as any for hotels of this type. We will stay again if it matches our travel plans.

We broke up a long drive with a stop in Olean, NY. We selected this property because of the favorable Trip Advisor reviews and the rate. Ditto what other travelers have said - propery is well-run, clean and in good repair. We don't use hotels for an indulgent experience, we just want a clean facility, hot shower, a good night's sleep and something decent to eat; this location gets high marks on all of those criteria. It's perfect for a stopover because of its proximity to the Southern Tier Freeway, grocery and convenience shopping. We had a quiet, restful night with a good breakfast before resuming our trip.

Had an excellent stop off here for one night on journey from Niagara Falls to Washington DC. The hotel is in an excellent location, easy to find with lots of parking space. Walmart across the road is handy to pick up supplies for the next day. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The hotel has a neat swimming pool, it was nice to have a dip after the long day of travelling. Breakfast was provided the next morning, simple food but all you need is there. Easy and straight forward check out when leaving. Excellent wifi too! Would certainly recommended the Best Western if you are in the Olean area.

Friendly staff, clean well-run hotel. New reno. We were in the room next to the elevator, and it was perfectly quiet. The first room had the smell of smoking in it, but the front desk transferred us to a new room with no problems. Good breakfast with lots of protein options.

Best place in town. Stayed for a family reunion in town to visit family. Great breakfast, clean rooms and very friendly staff make for a wonderful stay. Would highly recommend to anyone need a place to stay.

I always try to stay at the Best Western when in Olean. I've tried others but for one reason or another I was not as satisfied as I am here. The staff is great, the rooms are spotless clean. The service continuously the best.

Great Service, clean, comfortable rooms. Breakfast was delicious. Breakfast are a little small - Hotel was fully booked during my stay and Breakfast area could only accomodate a few people at a time. Other wise great place recommend to all who need to visit the Olean area.

I went to the Best Western Plus University Inn on Monday July 11th - 13th of 2016. I saw an extra charge was made on my credit card. When I had first called a number turned out to be expedia and they charged me as well. Well I went to the desk and they called them up and immediately got the charges reversed told me to contact them directly next time to avoid anymore extra charges. The guy at the desk was amazing he took care of the whole problem even took over 20 mins. The next day the charges on the card were reversed. I would recommend staying here anytime! Everything about staying here was great. I would definitely stay here again. Also they offer free movies to choose from in the lobby.

Booked a room 2 hours before we got there. Reception was quick, so friendly. Room was spotless and fresh. Appears to be remodeled recently. The only thing I was disappointed in was the bed. Really not comfortable. Pillows also not comfortable . However, it was quiet. The breakfast was tasty and fresh. Good coffee, too.

I've stayed here before on several occasions and it just gets better. Staff and rooms are first rate, very pleasant and helpful. Convenient location with restaurants in close proximity for meals other than breakfast. You can't beat the breakfast selections offered so why go elseware. Stayed here for a baseball tournament. Hotel full of kids and the Hotel didn't miss a beat. Centrally located and close to many places to eat. Rooms were spacious and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was great. I would stay here again.

Very nice property. Stayed here for 2 nights along with my parents. Rooms were clean and comfortable. It seems like they may have recently been recarpeted - you could still smell that new carpet smell in the hallways. Breakfast in this morning was very good. Unlike most places that have the waffle maker, this hotel has a pancake maker! This was my first visit to a Best Western in many years, and if all in the chain are like this, I would gladly return.

We were on our way home from Carlisle PA and had not prebooked as usual. GPS showed us the BW in Oleans and what a great choice. Wonderful staff, very accommodating considering they were almost full. AppleBees right next door, a mall across the road, plus a liquor store and coffee shop all within a 10 minute walk. Perfect after a day of travelling. Will certainly visit again. Stopped here at the last minute on a cross-country motorcycle trip. First day on the road and had ridden 450 miles. Staff was fabulous! Suggested that I leave my BMW motorcycle parked under the awning and offered to help me offload my gear. Even remembered my name as I passed through the lobby that night and the next morning as I departed. Wonderful experience after a difficult and exhausting day on the road. The rooms are clean and not cramped. There is an indoor heated pool, which I did not use. No hair dryer in the bathroom. Assume I could have used one if I'd called down to the front desk. Did not bother as was going to be wearing a helmet anyway!

The Southern Tier Expressway (I86) across southern New York is a lovely scenic road with few towns of any size which offer traveler services. We were very happy to find the Best Western in Olean after a long day of driving. The desk staff was very friendly and helpful. She gave us a quiet first floor room and told us about several nearby dinner options. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Packing up the next morning, I left my phone charger in the room. Again the staff was very quick to help. The charger must have been in the mail the next day as I had it before the week was out.

In the last couple of months, I've stayed here twice for business reasons, and it is well kept. The staff was friendly and helpful. Everything in my room was very clean. The extra bonus was it is a few yards from an Applebee's, so if you like Applebee's, you don't have to drive, and they have an agreement with this Best Western to give you a 10% discount. My AC unit's fan was a little noiser than should be, but not unbearable.

Stayed at the hotel for my daughter's graduation at SBU from Friday through Monday. Almost Everything about this hotel is nice. The rooms are large, bathroom large, decor very nice. The lobby has been updated and is very attractive. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is more than just the usual hotel breakfast. The only thing that wasn't great was the bed. It was a bit hard. Definitely would go back.

Most of the staff were very happy to be of service to my two sisters and myself during our pleasure and genealogy visit to the area. Breakfast offerings were more than adequate. Cleanliness of the entire hotel was very good. Curtains in the front did not adequately cover the windows. A staff member agreed and said they were working on changing them.

This hotel succeeds in spite of its brand affiliation. The staff is very good from the front desk to housekeeping, from maintenance to the breakfast area. Our room was clean, well appointed and very comfortable. The lobby area is appealing and the breakfast area is clean and welcoming. We had arrived two hours before check-in time. The front desk person gave us directions to a local restaurant that was perfect for our needs and she even called us as we were on the way to make sure we had found the place and to tell us our room would be ready when we returned. That is guest-centered service that is above the basic expectation! Our room, 234, was spotless. The bed was comfortable and the HVAC system worked flawlessly. Electrical outlets were plentiful and well placed. TV offerings were more than adequate, WIFI was flawless and the signal was strong. The bed room lighting levels (we also had a spacious kitchen area) were too low for us. The room decor is very nice but I think management should try some tinkering with higher lumen bulbs to brighten the room. The hotel presents poorly from the outside. This could easily be corrected with the replacement of the missing lighted Best Western wall sign that was obviously missing at the State Street entrance to the property. This sign has no value as a directional sign since it cannot be seen until one has already located the property. But its absence and the clear outline of where it once was situated high on the entrance side wall of the building create a negative impression to the new guest who is looking for any sign good or bad of what one may expecf in the way of attention to detail. "What happened to their sign?" "Did they lose their franchise?" Guest stress is always better when it is minimalized before they check in. Once passing the missing sign the new guest is confronted with the parking lot. It does nothing to dispel any anxiety one may have. It is badly in need of a facelift. The repair and/or re-sealing and re-striping of the parking lot is a critical next step. I personally found the exterior design of the building to be dated and unattractive but that is probably a matter of taste, I began this review with the title "Better than Expected. It has been my experience that "Best Western" as a brand has been spotty at best, My biggest problem with it over the years has been its inconsistency. It isn't a franchise. It is a membership association and as such it seems not to have the enforcement of standards clout or perhaps "will" that some franchises do i.e. Hampton and Marriott. As a result I try to avoid them altogether. That this hotel was a pleasant surprise is probably the best evidence to the owner that he or she may want to consider a flag change. We would stay here again.

Nice staff. Older facility but still clean based on my observation.I did not try the fitness center or pool. Breakfast was decent. There were a couple hot items and then fruit, bagels, toast, cereal, etc. I liked the coffee. It's located directly across the street from Walmart and a plaza with old navy and a few other stores. Burger king, Applebees, and other restaurants are a quick drive away.

Stayed at the BW for 3 nights and it was great. Rooms have just been renovated and are clean and fresh. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. Sue, who did the breakfast, was lovely. We had a problem with the TV and the front desk woman, I am sorry I didn't get her name, was wonderful and got us back up and running! Have already booked our next stay.

I had a wonderful stay with my large family. There was a pull out sofa and we were provided with a roll a way. Large clean room. Breakfast was amazing and the water and snacks provided in the evening were a nice touch. Thanks to the staff for a lovely stay.

Rooms very clean, staff was friendly and helpful, free breakfast had lots of variety and was kept up on. Good location- in a pretty populated area. Room had new carpets and spacious. Construction was going on at the time, but that is a good sign, only to make the property better!

This hotel was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. The fresh berries really made my day! I also liked that the room had a DVD player so I could rent a movie to occupy my evening (after a conference) without spending a lot of money.

Very nice and clean. The front desk was very helpful. I went there for a one night get away for my birthday. We had 4 girls and a parent there for he night and we asked the front desk if my father, brother and a toddler could go there and go swimming and hangout for a while. They had no problem. The rooms were very up to date. They are currently renovating the downstairs rooms. The breakfast has a good variety. They have free DVD rentals. There is very many to chose from and you also get free popcorn with the rentals. The pool is nice but there is no hot tub.

Just wanted to take the kids for a night and be able to swim and be together as a family. For this, the place was perfect. Friendly staff, clean rooms and the pool was nice! Located right near everything so you could shop or go out to eat..it's right next to an Applebee's which they also offer 10% off for! At the end of the night we rented movies and brought back to the room where we used the DVD player and the microwave for popcorn (after another swim and back to the lobby for more coffee) It was perfect for our family of four to just be together for a night!

The hotel is going through renovations but it was not mentioned in the reservation or website. We had a newly done room with new carpet and new wallpaper, which looked really nice, but the chemical smell was very strong. Wonderful staff at the hotel, from the reception desk to the cleaning ladies.

The Staff Here is Great and Very Helpful and Polite. The Hotel is in a Great Location not to Far from St. Bonaventure or the Center of Town. Also Close to any Fast food Place or Resturant or Gas Station.

The room was beautiful and clean. They had a wide variety of breakfast foods. I enjoyed the exercise room. The pool was beautiful and the room with the pool was nice and warm. Staff was wonderful. Trevor was exceptional. The location was convenient for me-located in Olean but near St. Bonaventure University.

It was clean - the room was updated and the staff were great. My room was recently updated. The bedding was white and clean and they have a special remote stand and lets you know that the remote has been sanitized. The breakfast area in the lobby had a nice selection and they had half and half for my coffee. I would recommend this hotel.

Desk staff were wonderful, easy to check in. Room was clean and comfortable. Breatfast buffet was well stocked and clean. We met Sue who was in charge while we were there. Room was very clean and staff was very accommodating and friendly. When I come to town to see my family, my daughter loves staying here. In the morning, we were greeted with an awesome member of Staff, Sue. She welcomed us to breakfast and made us feel like we were right at home. I didn't give it all the stars, because the pool is always a little too cold for my liking and the construction is very noisy during the day. Other than that, this place is Amazing, will be staying again!!!!

We had a very comfortable room on the 2nd floor--Very comfortable beds, lots of space, very clean, with wifi, great shower, pristine pool. The little thing that impressed me was the soap dish in the bathroom!! So simple but absent in so many other hotels. Breakfast worker was cheerful and helpful, food very good. The weather was not cooperating with our trip home to VT so I was able to get a room here. I only stay with BW nationwide. Anyhow it was a lovely room, the front desk guy was very nice. He also recommended places to eat that were good. Overall, top notch!

We are stranded here because the weather is turning bad. I was happy to find a BW!! This hotel is lovely, everything seems comfy cozy in the room. The staff are very friendly and helpful. This was my first business trip to Olean. Stayed for 2 weeks and was very happy to be in Best Western University Inn. The Staff is very friendly and helpful, rooms are very comfortable and the great position of the hotel near the shopping center/shops/restaurants. The hotel is very generous offering guests free coffee, tea, flavoured waters, fruit, snacks (including warm ones) throughout the day. Now my second business trip (3 weeks) is due and I booked Best Western again because there is now no other choice for me.I felt very much home there, was very impressed and can only recommend this! was my firs time in Olean, I think that i will never forget It, because i did never know the snow until that day. excellent place to share with family, the beds was awesome, for me found a gym in a hotel is an extra point. i met an amazing women called Sue, she always took care of my family all morning at the breakfast! lovely place!

The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. I breakfast staff went out of her way to find my grandson a chocolate chip muffin that he ask for! I loved all the extra touches like, free soup of the day, fruit infused water, movies and popcorn.

We totally enjoyed our stay at this hotel.We left our event early so we could go enjoy the jacuzzi tub that was in our room. The room was very clean and comfortable, and all staff that we had contact with were professional and pleasant. We would stay here again in a minute. The breakfast was very good with a nice variety of hot and cold items.

I booked approximately 8 rooms for 5 nights in October of 2015 while in the area for a TV shoot. Everyone in the crew was extremely satisfied with their stay and that is rare when you are on the road as much as we are! Bill (GM) and Cindy were very accommodating with our booking requests and the staff went out of their way to make sure that we were happy and comfortable. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Very reasonably priced. Comfy beds. Room included fridge and microwave. Great shower and water pressure and shower head. Breakfast buffet was awesome, sausage, eggs, pancakes, juices, yogurt, cereal, muffins, danishes, muffins, fruit, toast, bagels, hardboiled eggs. Sue was especially great tending to the breakfast area, making sure all items were replenished. The TV in the room could be slightly bigger. Free WiFi. We stayed here after skiing for the day at Holiday Valley in Ellicottville, about a 1/2 hour away because all the hotels in Ellicottville are SUPER EXPENSIVE. Worth the drive to save over $100 per night on a weekend.

My wife and I recently attended a wedding reception, and wanted an efficient place to relax before and after our trip from Buffalo, NY. This hotel is in an excellent location, very close to St. Bonaventure University, and in the midst of many good restaurants. We were very happy about hour choice, and the rooms are surprisingly very large. I would be happy to spend more time here in the future!

Rate was reasonable. Hotel was actually very clean. Staff was professional and friendly. Bed was not comfortable however. Was pleasantly surprised and pleased with my stay though. Loved the simple to use television remote and was surprised with the overall cleanliness especially for it being a value brand hotel.

Good hotel for the money they have a Applebee's next door for a restaurant and they give a 10% on your bill. The staff Is very friendly and helpful about what they have to offer. They are very polite and will tell you what service they can offer.

Great amenities! Have never had a hotel offer free DVD "rental" and bottled water and popcorn to go with it. Every single employee, beginning with Trevor who checked us in, we encountered was friendly and extremely polite. Clean room, workout room and cafe. Only half hour from Holiday Valley Ski Resort.

Kudos to Best Western in Olean, and particularly to Trevor, who helped us make reservations in spite of my husband's unpredictable health status, and Sue- the most efficient and helpful hostess at breakfast we have ever encountered. Breakfast was the best ever ( yummy omelets, sausage that was tasty and cooked just right, much more)! Beds were comfy, rooms very well arranged, pool was heated to just the right temperature and accessible hours. We celebrated our 45th with our son and family and thoroughly enjoyed it. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

This was our third stay here, and it was not as good as before. There was only one bar of soap, no lotion, and -- the real problem -- the heater went on all night every 6 minutes, making a loud noise each time. The noise was annoying, I didn't sleep well because of it, and the heat was set very low, so it shouldn't have kept going on. On the other hand, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the coffee in the morning was better than at most such places. So, if it weren't for the heater, I'd have given it an extra star.

We got our reservation through Priceline and got a decent rate. Very happy. The breakfast is much better than other area hotels, and the pool is warm and comfortable. The beds are cozy, and although there was a problem with the roll-out spare bed, the stay was definitely worth it. I would stay here again.

I had no preconceived notions about this property, as I had not stayed at a Best Western in over 10 years. This property was perfectly located, and just overall nice. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was very good and different choices everyday! Housekeeping was great on making sure we had everything needed and clean towels. Location could not have been better close to everything but away enough to be quiet at night. Would recommend to everyone.

We stayed for one night with our 11 year old daughter to watch the Christmas Parade and attend the Bartlett Mansion Christmas open house. We stayed here to give our daughter the opportunity to do some swimming in the pool of which she thoroughly enjoyed. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was fantastic, breakfast was good and there was always fresh ice water and snacks out in the lobby. We look forward to staying here again.

The hotel still has the feel of being new. It presents a good value and is very clean. The free breakfast is good, and is consistent with what has now become the standard chain motel free breakfast. It is conveniently locatedandhas the feel of a well-run business - the staff was friendly and helpful. There were no surprises, either to the positive or the negative.I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Hotel manager greets us by name. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. Hotels in the area (college campus) are all a little pricey, but this one is actually a little less expensive than the others.

We stayed from a Friday night to a Monday. Friday night into Saturday morning was really noisy. People were talking loudly in the halls and there seemed to be a lot of people banging their luggage against the doors as they went in and out. Our room was next to the vending machine/laundry area, so that may have had something to do with it. The other two nights were quieter. The bed was really comfortable, as were the down pillows. Everything was clean and nicely organized. The room was spacious; we had a king-sized bed with a chair/ottoman and a desk with a chair. We didn't try the breakfast, but a lot of people seemed to enjoy the breakfast, as well as the snacks put out later in the evening. The staff was helpful and respectful. The location was nice with easy access to stores and restaurants (Applebees is right next door). It was easy to get to the hotel and there was plenty of parking available.

very dated and poor results for dollar. I believe if this was not in a college town the prices would be much lower for what you go. The manager nice guy and very helpful. The rooms need to be completely gutted and redone. The elevator reminds me of the dumb waiters from years past. good thing room was clean, but amazed no premium tv for the price paid.

We stayed one night, 092715. Nice Best Western with parking very close to main entrance. Quiet location with plenty of restaurants nearby (had a great meal at Perkins). Good service and complimentary breakfast was ok. Would stay again.

Hidden at the base of the Salamanca Seneca Alleghany mountains was the quaint town of Olean, NY. This is where we found the Best Western. A great hub to to the casino or antique mall, this hotel was easy to find and near to a good size shopping mall. Staff was extremely helpful in all phases. The room was comfortable and quite. The price was very good and they offered AAA discounts. Breakfast was average Continental but clean and tasty. Two internet computers in the foyer were easy to get to and WI FI was offered.

We stayed here recently following a concert at the casino. The staff is excellent. Cindy checked us in. She was very personable. The room was very nice- it was clean and updated. Henry kept me entertained as I came downstairs at 3:12 in the morning. June was very helpful in the breakfast area. I was glad to see they had a gluten free cereal option. I would definitely stay here again if I came to the area.

Loved the fact that they had safety rails in the bathroom and a toilet that came up higher than your ankles. Breakfast was good. A little steep in their pricing, and there are other options available. But room was very spacious, and was comfortable after a long day on the road.

The staff was wonderful and helpful. The hours of the pool were great. The pool was small but was fine in the early morning when I was the only one in the pool. Nice breakfast choices for the free breakfast.

The hotel is clean, comfortable and spacious. The rooms are quiet. There are restaraunts withing walking distance. Great value for the price. But the best part is the staff. They are friendly and go out of their way to make sure your stay is comfortable. We arrived at the free breakfast 20 minutes after it had closed. Staff saw us and insisted on bring us out some food. Cleaning staff see you walking down the hall and press the elevator for you. I will definitely be back!

Great hotel conveniently located in the area to great restaurants and local sites. Staff is very friendly and outgoing. Room was very clean and all amenities worked well. Easy access and plenty of parking.

My wife and I were in Olean, New York this past Sunday and checked in at the Best Western where we were greeted in the usual friendly manner by the two desk clerks. We were sorry to hear that one of our favourites there, Breakfast Sue, had suffered a stroke; however, it was great to hear that she had been kept on in a new capacity. Our room was very clean, well stocked and prepared well for our visit. The desk clerk that night, Henry, checked us in quickly, was congenial as usual and we had a few laughs together before heading to our room. Monday morning, the general manager, Bill was on duty and he greeted us as though we were a part of his family. We've seen this young man rise up through the ranks at this hotel over the past few years and he has turned this hotel into an outstanding place to spend a night--or longer. A great, hot breakfast is also provided in the morning to get the day off right.

I spent one night at the Best Western Plus University Inn in Olean, NY. The hotel is clean, conveniently located and most importantly, very comfortable. It offers free breakfast with many choices, a nice small swimming pool and free parking. It's located right next to Applebee's, across the street from Wal-Mart and down the road from St. Bonaventure University, I was able to check-in early which was fantastic. My stay was very pleasant and I have zero complaints.

This hotel is very clean and comfortable, with helpful staff and lots of restaurants and stores nearby. Not far from St. Bonaventure University. Decor is somewhat basic, but it includes a pool and fitness center, everything you need.

This is a very nice hotel, clean and friendly staff. The whirlpool room is great and Breakfast is always a hit in the morning. I would recommend this hotel for anybody to stay. The pool is nice and clean and comfortable to sleep.. There are lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The pizza places will deliver and Applebee's is next door. We come here for our Anniversary every year. We love the place.
