The electricity in my room didn't work at all, when I told the receptionist she said that she couldn't do anything because she was busy with something else and the reception would close soon. She didn't even offer a new room and I had to use the flashlight on my uncharged phone to navigate through the room.
The hotell was mediocre. We spent two nights in one of the suites. It wasn't our best hotel stay we had. There was hair in the shower which is a big no in a hotel. Our sauna didn't work (afterwards they said that the floor heating in the bathroom can't be turned on meanwhile, no information about that). The breakfast was ok, except for the VERY salted bacon and scramled eggs looked like vomit. Friendly staff when we checked in, not so much when we checked out. The bed was nice to sleep in though! But for the price for the suite, we expected better. All in all, next time we're staying in a different hotel.
Location: the hotel is centrally located in Norrköping. Filmstaden with restaurants is less than a minute away. There is parking available in the Filmstaden parking structure. Check-in: the receptionist on duty was friendly and helpful. Room: the room was fairly dated and was overlooked by nearby apartments. The corridors at the hotel are dark and depressing. The room and bathroom were clean and that was a positive. The room was boiling hot despite there being a fan and us opening the windows when it cooled down outside. The beds were comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was good. Breakfast: a fairly standard Swedish hotel breakfast down in the basement. We still had to sign up for a time to have breakfast despite all Covid measures being dropped months earlier in Sweden. Wifi: perfectly adequate complimentary wifi. Overall: would we stay again? Yes, depending on the price. The location is excellent for exploring the city on foot.
This hotel has a good location right at the center of Norrköping, with a short walking distance from everything. The hotel itself is old and shabby. They have tried to renovate the room, which has an ok-looking interior decoration, but the hallways are awfully run-down and the hotel looks shabby. The breakfast was poor, only the dessert selection was ok. The staff was extremely kind, helpful and they really tried. The receptionist gave us the room with the best view, but unfortunately even from the best room you can only see ugly pipes (see picture). In the lobby there were cookies and coffee for guests for free and a chance to watch TV, which was nice. The hotel was supposed to have parking space, but at arrival we found out that we should have booked this in advance. There was no mention of this at booking.com when we made the reservation. So we had to park the car in a public parking space further away. Best Western could directly advertise itself as a 2-star hotel, which it is. Despite many good aspects, we can only give 2 stars due to shabby overall look and weak breakfast.
We stayed here for one night as we headed south. The best thing about this place was the beds- had the best night sleep. Everything else needs a lick of paint and some general upkeep but fine for a night. The breakfast buffet was very good!
We enjoyed our stay in here.Breakfast is nice and Staff is very helpful in all way.It was really nice that we got vouchers to have a dinner in Butlers Bistro where w had a really nice food. Overall we enjoyed our stay
Its a decent hotel and fairly cheap. Rooms are notnso big and quite hot in summer. We had a room on the roadside and there was quite some noise during the night. The bar downstairs is really nice with a wide selection of gins, beer and wine and good food. Pluspoint is the free coffee and biscuits in the lobby
I paid for a suite even though travelling alone as was all that was left but was looking forward to staying in the large room they pictured and described on booking.com. The room was just big enough for the beds and the bathroom was, I can only guess, was not finished. The bath panel wasn't fitted, just leaning against it. The bath had just been put into position and not fixed and with a 2 inch gap all around so not even the correct size. When you stand in the bath it moved and made a scraping metal sound reminiscent of a horror movie. Toilet seat was also stained yellow and hairs in the bathroom. Paid near enough £100 for the pleasure. Breakfast was ok though so 2 star.
Nice hotel very good value and staff were helpful my only gripe is the breakfast all thought there was a good selection of food why can't hotels get proper sausages and bacon the bacon was just fat and the sausages were just water
Centrally located and close to a nice pedestrian area with shops, café and restaurants. The hotel nees to be refurbished. Rooms furniture and decoration are a bit old. The annex restaurant offers a short menu. It is more a pub with tapas and salads.
I slept in a single room, quiet, tidy and clean. In the bathroom there was no outlet for the hairdryer, so I had to use one at the entrance. The hotel also has a gym. d good breakfast. You can reach shops and restaurants with a short walk.
Although not one of the most exclusive of experiences, Princess Hotel is a solid visit in a Swedish comparison for business travelers. The rooms are quite cozy and has a familiar feel. Breakfast is regularly crowded from start, so if you don't have meetings from early morning, sleep in a little. I'm likely coming back.
This hotel is perfect if you want to be close to shopping, cinema and bars in Norrköping. Quiet cozy rooms, awesome breakfast and very good transportation nearby if you need to catch a bus or a tram. The area around the hotel is beautiful and make sure to take a walk along Motala Ström down towards the train station.
The hotel is located very centrally, within walking distance to the industrial landscape which is just great to see. Quite comfortable room, ok bed, clean enough but the towels I got were a bit smelly, not really fresh. Breakfast was good indeed, you'll have everything you need and little extra. Recommend this hotel if you are on a weekend trip to Norrköping!
I stayed here for a month through work I had a single room which are very small the wardrobe had 4 coathangers I explained i was there for 4 weeks got another room same size except 6 coathangers. The breakfast is very good and well cooked. It gets very crowed and loud during the week when they have coach trips arriving and the breakfast room then becomes very small and crowded There are numerous bars and restaurants very close by all offer the same sort of food and drink There are shops all within walking distance.
Booked one night at this hotel through a Greadays experience called "Avkoppling på hotell" which promised a little more than just a plain hotel night. The little extra (which made it cost 400 SEK more than an ordinary hotel night) consisted of two bottles of mineral water and a plate with some fruits. Other than that there was nothing special about the hotel room which was quite small and pretty standard with a non-inspiring view of the street outside. The rating would have been "average" had it not been for the amazingly hard bed which made me wake up with pain in my back and neck. Luckily I had painkillers with me but that's not how you're supposed to wake up in a hotel bed - it has certainly never happened before to me. The breakfast was above average (which saved the hotel from a terrible rating) although it was harder to enjoy when you wake up with pain. The location was also good although the cost for parking the car in the nearby garage was quite high.
I stayed 5 nights here on business. I had a single bed room, which was big enough for me. Only downside of the room was the desk was pretty small, and the bed had no headboard. The bed was comfortable, and I slept ok. The curtains are just thick enough to be able to sleep during the day. Breakfast is a buffet, which is very good. Cooked eggs, bacon, sausages, bread, cheese, cold meats, etc. If you spend enough time there, you won't need to eat too soon after. The hotel has free tea and coffee in the lounge around in front of reception. There is also a kettle with a tea bag, and decafe coffee in the room. One hidden secret about this hotel, if you are a member of the Best Western Rewards programme, you have free main course dinner in the restaurant down stairs!!!! The hotel shows some signs of wear and tear, but it is generally very good. I would be very happy to stay here again.
The right place for a sportive stay in Norrkoping.. Close by the city center and shopping center, lots of parking and easy to reach. Rooms are clean and comfortable. I'll be back if I'll be around again.
We stayed one night at the Princess Hotel in Norrköping, getting a very good deal on one of the major online booking chains. Not expecting much for the price we paid, we were pleasantly surprised by the speed of the check-in, quality of room and breakfast facilities. The concierge was very helpful and helped to create a good first impression of the hotel. The room is of a decent size, located in the center of Norrköping. A bit away from railway station, but close to shops, bars and restaurants. The only thing that was a little under par was the quality of the bathroom, but then again it was perfectly fine and the temperature in the shower stayed constant... The beds were very comfortable and there was a water boiler and two bottles of mineral water free of charge. There are no wardrobes in the rooms, only open hangers, not so good for extended stays, but for one or two nights not an issue. The breakfast was really excellent, with nice options and tweaks on small things (like the possibility of pressing your own fresh orange juice or fresh pineapple with passion fruit and mint leaves!). I wouldn't hesitate to revisit the hotel in the future.
That's how the hotel describes itself and I can confirm it is spot on. The location is very convenient, near major attractions, landmarks and other amenities. Staff was friendly and helpful and breakfast was very nice. Room was warm and clean. Could not find a fault on their service.
We were in family room for 3 adults and 2 children. I am very happy with the space and comfort in the room and facilities offered. I was attending meeting and the kids enjoyed themselves at the playroom and xbox room. There's also gym and sauna. Breakfast had good spread. Staffs were friendly. Walking distance to Stadmuseum, Arbitet's museum linkoping university campus and halal food shop. Only negativd side perhaps carpet on hallway is abit old and toilet interior slightly old but all are clean and comfy.
My experience of this hotel was very good. Bed was soft and lovely, Slept like a God. Stayed at this hotel for the Bråvalla Festival and the staff was very nice and kind to tell me and my partner where to go and on what bus and so on. Location was awesome! Breakfast aswell! nothing to complain about besides the weather, which sucked. 5/5!
Great customer service nothing too much for the staff, Top Sauna and gym. The only downside was the lack of drawer space. Coffee and fruit and biscuits available 24/7 down in reception. The breakfast was one of the best I have had over the years and is available from 7 - 11.
The hotel was good when compared with the price. The location was central. Rooms were clean and comfortable, the beds soft. Breakfast was indeed quite crowded and every once in a while something was missing but the staff brought more good and utensils all the time. The contents were good and sufficient.
This hotel seems a good choice in Norrköping - it's central, close to the restaurants and concert hall, and affordable, but there are also factors which make it less than comfortable. For one, they have no parking of their own and if you come with your own car, you have to hunt for parking space in the streets nearby - that can be very tricky. Secondly, their breakfast lounge is below the ground and seem very crowded at least during the summer season - the small rooms get filled quickly in the morning, and there's a lot families with crying babies and kids running - no peace. The breakfast was ok - the best thing was freshly squeezed orange juice! - but it was a bit difficult to see where to find all the utensils and plates etc. Thirdly, the room we had claimed to be for three people but it was no bigger than an ordinary hotel room - and the room shape was a bit odd, which made it feel even more crammed. We had to move furniture in order to have the extra bed open and still be able to use the bathroom! Fourth, there was terrible noise in the corridor at night - of course coincidental but these partying people kept coming and going out of their rooms, knocking on strangers' doors and shouting in the corridor with no one to stop them - proving that the personnel do not keep an eye on what goes on at night. The hotel corridor was dark and poorly lit, and our kid got a bit scared walking into our room. The bed was ok enough but the view was to the back - nothing to see. At lleast we got no noise from the street.. but all in all, I will not use this hotel again if I can avoid it.
The hotel was nice, comfortable beds, well equipped with ironing table and hair dryer and some free amenities. WiFi was alright but not the best and breakfast was alright too. But to get to the room 400 you need to go through several elevators and corridors which is not very convenient...
Perfectly proper and nice property almost hidden away in the middle of Norkkoping's rather quiet downtown. Rooms and beds are comfortable and clean. I made the mistake when booking of forgetting that "single room" in parts of Europe gets you a single bed. But apart from that, my fault, both room and bathroom very satisfactory and also ecology conscious. The room had a small kitchenette that i didn't use. A very high-quality breakfast buffet in the morning, suitable for all kinds of regimes. An in-house gym and sauna are small but sufficient. Altogether a good deal.
The hotel is nice inside, but they could use a sign on the outside that is visible from the side when approaching. You have to be right in front of the hotel otherwise to be sure you're at the right place (e.g. when wondering in the end-approach when navigating using a GNSS-device. Breakfast müsli selection was great. The orange juice could be improved. The room was quiet. The lamps had strange on/off switches right next to the bulb itself.
We have visited this hotel many times during the last few years and always still gone back but not this time, we visited in July and the hotel was packed with families. The room comes with breakfast but was full of families and as the breakfast room is so small you were literally falling over little children which cant be good in a small environment with hot drinks/food. The music from the downstairs bar finally gave up at 3am and there was splillages all over the place. The room was not cleaned which meant we had no fresh cups etc. All in all very poor.
We stayed for two nights when visiting family in the city. Rooms are clean, beds are large enough and the bathroom is clean although a bit in need of refurbishment. The staff in the reception is friendly and tries to be helpful with information about the city. The black mark comes in relation to breakfast! I understand that it is a hard task to keep up with all the families with small children turning up for breakfast all at the same time, 8:30 for them to be in time for the Kolmården zoo. But there is a shortage of everything, cutlery, food, space to sit. The only thing not in short supply is dirty dishes! Then, at the same time as everybody is trying to check out, the elevator is busy with crates of food being delivered and racks of linen blocking the corridors. Lucky there was no fire emergency! Due to salary policies in Sweden staff is always in short supply so if you are not pressed for time, I suggest you try to have your breakfast after 9 a.m.
A good and simple hotel near the center or Norrkoping. It is situated in a quiet street. The room was nice, had a lot of space. I only didn't know what to do with all the pillows at my bed. And maybe the mattress was too soft. But I slept good in a room at the front side, it was quiet. A colleague who slept closer to the staircase woke up early in the morning by loud talking Chinese people. But I guess that is not common. And there was free wifi with good reception. Breakfast was good, enough variety. Though the juice machine did not work with the fresh oranges. The two separate breakfast rooms looked a bit messy There was just enough space to sit. We arrived late in the evening, stayed two nights and left at the second night very early in the morning. At arrival we asked if they had a breakfast that early and they offered to make sandwiches. That was really great! Also there is free coffee and tea in the lobby. On itself good and great to have when you leave early in the morning. Overall I had a good stay these two nights.
What to say? Bad: No fridge or mini bar, no safe for valuables, no cold still water available at all, no airconditioning(hot or cold), no shower cap, no moisturiser, no toothbrush or paste, windows only open 10 centimeter, single size blanket on king size bed, no room service, no wardrobe, no drawers, shower so small a large man could not get inside, very uncomfortable and claustrophobic shower which sprays you directly and forcefully in the face at all height adjustments, bathroom so cramped and ugly you feel like a prisoner or in a makeshift hospital, 15 minutes on hold to reception, staff are basically ignoring you at check in if they are doing another task as though you are not there. Not professional on the phone. No porter or doorman to help with large suitcase at front door even though there is no ramp for guests. The front door is in an alleyway and glass doors tinted so you are confused if this is the proper entrance as no one is there to greet you. Design of everything looks like expensive dormitory for schoolboys, no food available, can't keep room tidy due to lack of wardrobe. No English channels and no movies. No clock or alarm to tell time.Basically lacking all aspects of a hotel and don't feel like I am a hotel guest as there is NO SERVICE. Good: free WiFi, generous with body wash, sewing kit provided, lots of lighting options in bedroom (better than most hotels), lots of pillows provided, desk with chair, quiet in room facing inner yard(not for leisure/really ugly view), close and central, clean. In all, not worth the price tag and even if it were half price I would look elsewhere first. I want to say it's nice but aside from the good bedroom lighting and several pillows it's harder to stay here with no essentials than a hostel.
I booked this hotel after reading reviews of other places in Norrkoping as I wanted an over night stay, coupled with a chance to visit a city I knew nothing about, and was highly delighted with the choice. The hotel is very central, and luckily we found free parking right outside until our 8am departure to continue the long journey. Check in was smooth, the girl on reception was very helpful and knowledgeable about Norrkoping and gave us a perfect route to walk and explore a very beautiful, clean and interesting city - it's a real gem of a place and I wish I had had 2 or 3 days to see more of what it has to offer. The room was perfect, and the copious breakfast was delicious.
