I was pleasantly surprised at this hotel. It's one of the nicer hotels in Nac! I don't usually like outside "motels," but I felt very safe there. The Best Western is nice, updated, and has very large rooms. The bed was super comfortable, the pillows were great, and the bathtub/shower has a tub mat. I know that's a small thing, but it's just a nice bonus. The breakfast wasn't super extensive, but had plenty of delicious choices. I will definitely stay there again.
This place is a diamond in the rough. We have stayed here once before. The price for what you get is a bargain. Older, not fancy with outdoor access but room was spotless and comfy. The handicap shower head did not spray, more like a fire hose. Only minor complaint. Breakfast bar has the basics but is very sufficient for us. Highway noise could be a factor for light sleepers but not us.
The employees were very rude to us, we got kicked out of the pool for being too many (we were only 5). Every time we come and visit Nacogdoches we have stayed there but this is the last time we ever stay there again, we were very disappointed by them.
Pros: Great double king beds, clean hotel, nice desk worker, close to college area, simple pool, plenty of towels - but must ask for them Con: Water pressure in shower was awful (my garden hose has more pressure), breakfast area very small, breakfast gone way too soon
We had 5 rooms, A/C didn't work in all rooms!! Rooms are on the outside of the building. The only positive thing I can say was the staff was great.
Wonder hotel, with a very friendly staff. Room was spacious and clean. Bathroom was immaculate. The shower was the BEST hotel shower I have ever had the pleasure of taking. The hotel is not far off the interstate and was easy to find.
I'm giving out a shout out to Jill Murphy because she didn't have to but she did and cause of her I will definitely come back to this hotel. Jill Murphy I can't thank you enough for what you did for me thank you.
We made a quick trip to visit SFA for my son. The location was good for the hotel, but it was definitely outdated and needed to be cleaned. The room smelled like mold, shower wasn't clean, walls were dirty.
We've stayed here several times over the last 5 years to visit a relative. It's always clean and the rooms are well furnished. Sandy and the lobby staff are friendly and helpful with easy check-in and out. The free breakfast is good, with warm eggs, sausage, waffles, etc.
I had a wonderful stay here! The staff were friendly and courteous. Very helpful & prompt to a key issue I briefly had. The room was very clean and the bed comfy, The breakfast was warm good with several healthy options to choose from. I will definitely stay here again when passing through here.
Very nice place to stay. The breakfast was very good. Coffee was excellent. The beds were very comfortable. Great BW motel. Food close by. Clean & easy to get to. Highly recommend this motel. Very pleased with the service.
We stayed here during a long trip from NY to Corpus christi. Very friendly and professional staff at front desk. Gave us great recommendations for restaurants. The room was very clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.
Room was clean. Restroom spotless. Although bedding smelled like a sweaty man had slept on it the night before. Breakfast was average. They use those fake water eggs. Check in guy needs to be retrained on hospitality.
The very best place to stay for the price! Money saving place! Why pay double when you get great service here? Great breakfast! Very cordial staff! Very clean rooms! Ms.Sandy is the very best! Staff are always helpful.
The handicap room with roll in shower worked well. The negative is the room entrance is outside and no elevator. Outside entrance doesn't make me feel safe and bad weather is an issue when unloading car.
Checked in hotel and the front desk was very pleasant. Room was nice and large and bed was extra comfy along with a separate sofa. A/C kept room nice a cold. Overall a very pleasant stay for the first time at this hotel. Only down fall is this is a two story outside hotel so if your on the second floor be prepared to climb stairs. Hotel felt safe to stay. They do offer breakfast in the morning also. Thank you Best Western Nac we will be back.
This was our first time staying at a best western and we were very comfortable. The check in went smoothly and our beds were really comfortable. We ate the breakfast and it was good. I would definitely stay here again.
We didn't know what to expect even post-Covid, but the variety was great - scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, oatmeal, waffles, coffee juice - could have something different each morning. Our room was clean with plenty of towels!
Downstairs right by your own vehicle, swimming pool away from road traffic or other hotel guest, surrounded by pine trees, BBQ grill with pavilion. Good breakfast in morning. Not very expensive like other hotels across street.
Overall this is a good hotel for the price. The front desk staff was always friendly and when we needed assistance with the tv we received a quick response. The breakfast had several options. The waffles and chocolate muffins were a hit with our group. We requested that our 3 rooms were next to each other and they accommodated that without any issue. The construction makes getting there a challenge, but that is not fault of the hotel.
Friendly staff, rooms very clean, cleaned every day unless you indicate otherwise, good dark curtains, surprisingly little noise from traffic and nearby construction, standard hotel chain breakfast, small outdoor pool looked very nice. Tall trees on two sides of the hotel add a bit of tranquility.
I stayed in a 2 queen room on the second floor for 1 night. I was going to stay for 2 but really didn't care for the room. Upon entering and using the restroom I noticed that the towels were all messed up and not folded and the soap wrappers had been opened and missing the soap. So basically the bathroom didn't look like it was totally finished being cleaned. The sink area was nice and big outside the shower /toilet room. it has an older refrigerator and a small microwave in the room. The floor had food wrappers on it and the bed skirt was stained with food on it! The blankets were so old they had cigarette burn marks and holes in them. Even though this was a non-smoking room! I think the rooms just need a good deep cleaning, like dusting, carpet cleaning, bed linens washed or replaced actually! the towels provided were very cheap and thin! I did not check out the pool so I can't report on that! I did go down to the breakfast in the morning. It was very basic. I tried the cereal and it was stale! They only had two food items that were hot! So work needs to be done with the breakfast selection.
The staff was very friendly and welcoming! Our room was cool and clean. The grounds & pool are well kept. Thank you for a great stay while visiting in Nac. We will definitely book our stay here next time. Blessings to you!
Checked in at 2am so was too exhausted to complain. The trash can in room was full of food containers from previous guest. Room smelt musty and fresh paint did not hide the fact that room dated. Will not stay here again
I have stayed at Holiday In several times in the last year, but decided to give Best Western a try, when they were 50% of the cost of Holiday Inn. This BW was cleaner and easier to access than other hotel.
We traveled from Florida to Texas for a family reunion. We were suppose to be there by 9 pm but because of several accidents on the interstate we didn't arrive until 1:30 am. I called several times on our way to insure our room would still be available they assured us we still would jhave our room . The front desk people were all so friendly.
Checked in. Two hours later, I turned the light on the bathroom, and two roaches sped out. I called the front desk, and told them I was checking out and that I wanted a full refund. The owner said that they would send a fumigator. Not wanting to breathe poison all night and not wanting to wake to a room full of dead roaches, we hit the road. They refused a refund. I will never stay in a Best Western again.
Room was clean and met my needs for an overnight stay while traveling. Military rate was much appreciated. Bed was comfortable. Parking spaces were plenty and they were not too narrow. Staff was very efficient and congenial.
Room itself was clean and confortable. However, had some issues with the property changing my reservation. I booked through Expedia for a 1 night stay on a Sat night. My reservation was confirmed and my card was charged accordingly. The day before my stay I got a call and a Voicemail from the property saying that my card was declined and that I needed to provide another card. I checked and my transation had already been processed by Expedia (no issues). I called them and they made no mention on the phone about the card, but said that my reservation had changed and they were not sure if I was coming on Fri or Sat night and wanted to confirm. I advised that my reservation was for Sat night and that I had not changed it. They said ok, and that they would see me Sat night. No sure what that was about ? Got there Sat night and walked into a double Queen room when I had booked a Single King. Not sure how the reservation got so messed up, but the lady at the front desk said they had a "new girl" working the front and she must have messed it up some how. Don't think I will be staying here again.
Really nice staff all around! And a sparkling freshly painted pool! A nice family feel to the place! Traffic can be difficult for an hour or two in evenings due to construction (but that will end) Great location to SFA without having to be on North Street! I'm just sad because I know BW corporate policy and they are going to get rid of a couple of CUTE local kitties as soon as they can even though I think they give the place charm!!!
Love that the staff have adopted a stray outdoor - being careful to leave food and water out for it. This motel is very conveniently located along a main street in Nacogdoches with plentiful food options within walking distance. It was so convenient to pull up directly outside our 1st floor room. The handicap accessible bathroom was exactly what was needed for my mother-in-law to be able safely use the shower. The bathroom was very spacious. Room was recently remodeled and looks very nice. The dining area was very clean. The food was all pre-packaged at this time. The grounds were well-kept. The office staff at check-in and check-out were friendly and helpful.
Dropping of my granddaughter at nearby Stephen F Austin. Nice large rooms. Very clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. The young woman at the desk was a charming person. She seemed to know many of the guests by name. Really a plus to have people like this when you travel. There is a nice outdoor pool at the back of the property surrounded on three sides by the big piney woods. Great if you have kids or grandkids to entertain.
Second stay at this hotel. Staff is great. Rooms are clean and well kept with plenty of space. The property is well lit, and I feel safe staying here while traveling alone. The beds are comfortable, and I've slept well. I will happily stay here again when I return to Nacodgoches.
The layout is that of a motel, which is a little off -putting upon arrival, but the rooms are immaculate. Evidently this hotel was redone not long ago. Beds are comfy, place was quiet so we slept well. The mini fridge makes absolutely no noise. The bathroom is a little too dark and gloomy. I didn't like the single sink completely open to the room, as you will disturb someone who's sleeping if you use it. I also didn't like the coffee maker on the same bathroom sink counter. The ladies at the front desk were nice and helpful, no issues with checking in, out or with billing. The hotel is considerably cheaper than a couple of others and the rooms are in great shape. If they manage to keep the rooms like this, this is your best deal in town.
You receive a genuinely welcome reception on arrival. The property is well maintained. The rooms are clean and everything is in working order. The location is a safe place with easy access to the highway and business section of town, the university and restaurants and entertainment.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful rooms and the beds are so comfy!! Ice machines and washer and dryer on bottom and 2nd floor. Located around plenty of food places and shopping! Nice pool. We enjoyed our stay so much!
Extremely happy with our stay. Great for the price! Bed was actually really comfortable. Still offered individually bagged items for the breakfast even with COVID. Plenty of room.Check in was quick and easy.
Because there are 5 of us, we required 2 rooms for 2 nights for a quick trip to Nac. The rate was outstanding for the rooms and my older kids were able to spead out in their own room. Was as nice as a internal hotel? No. But it was exactly what we needed. A clean, comfy room with a shower, sink and TV. Nothing special and wasn't asking for such. The property was very well maintained. The room was clean. The few employees I met were very nice. All in all it was great and kept us within our budget.
Stained sheets. Told to go down to get clean ones myself late at night while creepy men stood outside my door smoking. I was alone with my daughter already for bed. Towels were dirty. Every light switch and door was covered in dirty hand prints. Front desk was condescending.
The front desk clerks were amazing. The ladies were helpful and courtesy which was very pleasing. It was like it was more than just a job, to tjem. The seemed to genuinely care about the customers, which you don't find very often these days .
This Best Western is relatively new. It's fresh and clean. Staff is so nice and helpful. I stay at Best Western hotels whenever I travel, but I am especially impressed with this one. I have always had a great experience each time I stay here. The rooms are clean. All the staff is friendly and helpful. There are many restaurants within walking distance. I would certainly recommend that you give this BW a try.
I am reluctant to review because this is a hidden gem (not any more). This hotel's cleanliness and especially customer service is on par , better than most 5 star hotels.. Neal Sandy Nancy Ella Turkessa are simply the most efficient, professional and accommodating. As a former customer service rep for Fortune 500 companies, I can't imagine a more seamless experience. I have no affiliation with this hotel other than guest.
Room was spotless, the room wasn't Freezing when we checked in, it was cold outside. King bed really was comfortable, about a medium firm. Didn't eat breakfast next morning. (Boxed? Due to covid?) Sheets were clean, had plenty of hot water, tv was in great shape. Non smoking rooms.
The staff were very friendly... They answered all my questions and were extremely helpful. My room was VERY clean and the bed/pillows were comfortable!!!! I highly recommend this motel. And the price was right!
Short overnight stay in Nacogdoches was pleasant . Though the hotel was busy, the room was quiet and comfortable. Staff was accommodating and made every effort to present a clean, sanitary environment.
Stayed here Tuesday night 9-1-20 on my way back to home in Houston. Lady at the front desk was very nice and friendly. Older hotel with with nicely remodeled rooms. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and bath area was nice, had a little sitting area when you first walk in and a nice little computer desk. Only issue was the A/C, it just couldn't cool down my room. I woke up around 4am and finally it was cool and I was able to snuggle in and get a few hours good sleep. Not sure if it was just my room, but I doubt it, first turned the A/C down to 64, then down to 61. Rooms are probably in need of of updated A/C's. If traveling through again, as I will be next week, I'll try one of the other hotels near by.
you need to call and make sure the pool is open because it is not listed on the website. The facility was clean, we were not happy about the pool being closed because we were on a anniversary golf weekend.
This is a very nicely maintained property. currently operating under Covid-19 so no breakfast, but did offer a grab-n-go bag in the morning. Room was nice and good bed. Sits right off the main highway coming up from the south.
This is a two-story hotel. There is no elevator. I could not find a fitness center. There is an ice machine on the second floor. The room size is adequate. The free breakfast was very good. We did secure a good room rate, so overall it was a fair value. I would stay at this hotel again.
Check in between 5”6-7 pm, and Nancy and another coworker offered superb customer service, and checking was very pleasant and quick, the room was super clean and tidy!!! Love the colors of the room (230)....Well done to the housekeepers!! WiFi is very good as well, for business “, and family, or Solo..travelers....Location Noice is very minimal as well...Nancy also pointed me to a great Coffee Shop, Java Jacks, which I just happen to be a coffee conaseur. I highly Recommend this Location!!
Very nice helpful staff - really comfy beds - quiet area - not far from downtown area with great shopping - Farmers Market every Saturday- great breakfast and easy access to Hwy 59 - would recommend staying here 5 stars
Was very surprised how affordable they were. Easy to make reservations with very friendly people. Very good location easy to get to. Very friendly staff from the front desk to the housekeeping personnel. Breakfast was good and hot
We enjoyed our stay very much. Our room was 1 king size bed. Very roomy & the bed was surprisingly very comfortable. I did not see a pool but this is a small hotel. But overall the experience was great. From the the staff, to the room, to breakfast.
We stayed in a nice, clean, comfortable, spacious room. The Bed was very comfy. The rates were reasonable too! The hotel was minutes from SFA campus. There was a refrigerator, coffee pot, hair dryer and microwave in the room.
This is a really nice hotel, especially for the price. Sandy at the front desk is one of a kind! She is very helpful and friendly. There is a good breakfast. The rooms are very nice and clean. Checking in and out are a breeze!
place was easy to find. staff extremely texas-friendly and helpful: room was just as advertised - clean, everything worked, and quiet. lots of breakfast selections- all good. and compared to prices of other places in the area - best western was - well - the best!
Getting home repairs done. They offer hot breakfast, free internet and their staff was Friendly and Professional! Will always choose to stay here! Thanks again! See y'all next time you're services are needed.
On our arrival at the Best Western in Nacadoches on Friday, November 8th, I asked the receptionist for her recommendation of a restaurant for dinner that evening. She pulled out a paper city map and pointed out the location of two very good restaurants; we chose one of the two and were very very pleased. Delicious! Our stay at the Best Western overall was enjoyable but that one act of kindness was most memorable.
We booked through hotel.com with a great rate and nearby the university. It is a 2 story hotel with outdoor hotel doors. Certainly not my preference but thankfully a quiet evening. The only issue I discovered was a small patch of animal hair on the curtains. The room was clean otherwise and updated with a microwave, mini fridge, and a sofa bed. It was a spacious room. I would recommend this hotel.
We came to Nacogdoches for a marching band contest. The Best Western is older and has exterior doors, but the recent remodel is the best I've ever seen. The rooms looked brand new!! I highly recommend staying here and Sandy was so friendly and always smiling, will definitely stay here again when we're in the area!!!
The hotel is nice and close to town. People were really nice and helpful. Breakfast was good and hot. Getting out on the main road can be challenging during traffic hour as hotel is on the main highway
I'm always happy with Best Western, always clean, always friendly. The room in Nacadoghes was very spacious and the beds awsome. The pool looked inviting but it was not warm enough outside for a swim.
Had a good experience during our stay. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. Good breakfast with plenty of options and friendly staff. Was very easy to find and close to restaurants. Would stay there again.
Had a Great stay. Went swimming the pool was a great. The staff was great and my room was nice and clean. Will be back to stay very soon. Stephen F Austin State University was about a 5 minute drive. Thanks BW
Everything was excellent, the only problem that I had was the poor lighting. Excellant service, large sitting room and comfortable bed. My husband did complain about the small pillows, but I told him this is the way most hotel pillows are going to have. THANKS for the ENJOYABLE stay!
Spacious rooms, clean, quiet, and friendly staff. reasonable rates. Well maintained property that is convenient to restaurants, Easy access to freeways. Exterior enterance which I prefer when traveling. Good parking even for boats and trailers.
For the price range the Best Western in Nac is great value. The room was completely updated. I only had a few issues as in even though updated the hotel had an older smell and one of blankets had a cigarette burn hole in it. Would opt to stay there again.
We stayed here for one night and I was slightly iffy just because I usually don't like rooms that go directly outside. I prefer to stay at a hotel. However, this place was SO clean, the beds were SO comfortable, and I felt completely safe. I would definitely revisit and recommend.
We booked this hotel through Expedia. When we arrived at the hotel around 9:30 on a Saturday night, the desk clerk was not there. We rang the bell, walked around the lobby looking for someone; we waited around 25 minutes. Since it was late, we returned to our car and made a reservation at another hotel. We called the corporate office and told them what was going on, they even tried to call the hotel and got no answer. We were promised a refund. NO REFUND. Now the hotel is saying that there is always someone at the front and refuses to cooperate and give us a refund. Expedia is saying that they can't help either. Very unprofessional hotel. Best Western cooperate and Expedia have all washed their hands and have left us hanging.
We stayed here for 6-nights, and enjoyed our stay very much. The rooms have recently been remodeled and are very nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms were clean. The free breakfast is quite good. We'd definitely stay here, again.
The hotel has been redone top to bottom. The staff are friendly and helpful! New beds made sleeping great! If you have an issue they will take care of it promptly! Property managment has done a great job on bringing this location up to speed. Some rooms the water pressure isn't as great as others, but its a clean, well run location. This is one of my favorite places to stay.
We have stayed at alot of Best Westerns in the US ,This probably had the hardest mattress ever.. The room was clean and big, fresh remodel.. but neither of us slept well at all. I would of gladly paid more for a better bed, it really was all we were looking for.
I let the front desk know about the smelled since I had initiated the “we won't smoke in room” clause or be changed a fee. The front desk person apologized but didn't offer any solutions and I didn't ask for any.
Hotel was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and always willing to help when asked to. We stayed three nights and even over the weekend the hotel stayed relatively quiet with the exception of a few slamming doors. It was a very enjoyable stay.
Very nice property, right on the main road with ease access. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Check-in/checkout was quick and easy.if you are in nacogdoches this is one of the places that I recommend
We were there for a Jaycee convention. Very nice place to stay and freindly staff. The rooms are affordable for us Seniors on a budget and they do have a nice breakfast buffet. It also was convenient to the golf course and close to downtown area.
We both were extremely please with the overall stay at this Best Western, our room was nicely decorated and very clean. We had one of the best night sleeps with their most comfortable beds we have ever slept on. Their hot breakfast was so good, eggs, bacon, sausage and all the fixings to go with. Make your own waffle was nice too.
the staff was friendly & professional they helped me a lot when I was there. the hotel is well kept. the room was comfortable & I rested well here. restaurants was close by, easy on & off hiway.i would recommend this hotel
The property, people and the room was really - perfect! This is family operated and you can see the care they take to give you the best you can expect. It was not a problem but for me the only negative thing is they take pets. I would highly recommend to stay here! The price was right too. Thank you to the staff.
We stayed here for two nights and really liked it. It was a typical Best Western and had a nice big, comfortable room with a good bed. The room was clean as well. The hotel was quiet and easy to get to. The free breakfast was not so great - but in my experience that is typical at all hotels. We will definitely stay here again.
I didn't realize it when I booked the reservation, but this is a motel (each room has exterior entrance). I decided to stay anyway and glad I did. The room was very nice, modern, clean and well maintained. The price was very good as well. I would stay here again if in the area.
Really liked this hotel for the price. On the spartan side, but very clean and well maintained. Lovely looking pool out back. Beds are likely in need of replacement soon, and could have definitely used an extra blanket as bedding was very light. Front desk staff were very friendly and lovely to deal with. We actually got a cheaper rate walking in than on online. Good breakfast options. This hotel definitely emphasizes clean- thankyou!
My family and I picked this hotel based on the Best Western brand alone. We've had good luck with the chain on past trips, and we decided to give this one a shot. We had no idea where were going to stay since this trip was on short notice, so seeing a Best Western made the decision easier. The desk clerk was tremendous and answered all of our questions regarding the area and our anticipated trip to Galveston the next day. She signed us up for the rewards program and even gave us the number and address for the Best Western in Galveston. The staff at the desk the next day was equally as polite and helpful. If the review would stop here, they would get a full 5/5 from me. The area around the hotel gave us serious questions about security. The abandoned and graffiti covered restaurant adjacent to the entrance did not give us a lot of hope, but we took the desk staff at their word that the area was secure. The room was on the ground floor, and was basically what we expected for the price. It did not live up to our past experiences with Best Westerns we've visited in other areas. The beds were both very small for a traveling couple (full sized I believe) and were pretty firm. The pillows had to be doubled over since they were quite soft and thin. The door had light showing all around, and we were woke up by other guest talking and loading up their vehicles in the morning. We could also smell their cigarettes through the gap around the door. The manager did respond to a survey I filled out via email and promised to address the concerns I mentioned above with the maintenance staff. I haven't returned though to see if it has improved. I was impressed that he even cared enough to respond, so I'll give them and even "average" rating. Not nearly as bad as other hotels I've visited, but not as good as other Best Westerns I've seen.
I attended my daughter's college graduation there and I had a number of different choices for hotels, but I chose Best Western. My experiences with Best Western in the past have always been very good ones and I always look to see if a Best Western hotel is available first before I make my reservation. The staff and manager at this hotel are always looking for ways to make and improve your overall stay and hotel experience. The staff were very attentive, friendly and courteous. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!
Thank you for a wonderful stay, excellent price for an extremely clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was served on time and was delicious with a nice variety. The server was polite. The staff at check in and check were very courteous
A cozy and clean motel with a great breakfast and super-friendly staff. Plus it's close to the historic district where there are unique shoppes. Had a terrific weekend shopping in this Oldest Territorial Town in Texas!
We chose this BW over the other BW on the north side of Nacogdoches pretty much on a coin toss. It turned out to be a nice property. We were checked in by a pleasant young man who also gave us some suggestions for dinner that night. Our room, 228, was on the upper floor toward the back of the building, away from the road. It was clean and quiet and there were no problems encountered. There are ice machines on both levels which is nice; hate having to go down and up the stairs to fetch a bucket of ice. The bed was comfortable and while the room wasn't overly large, there was enough room to move about. The microwave, refrigerator and TV worked fine and we liked the quietness of the room. Breakfast on the two days we stayed was basic BW in a somewhat small dining area. There are 4 square tables, each with three chairs and a six stool rectangular table. So, there is seating for only 18 guests although we never saw it crowded. There is more space, if necessary, to sit in the much larger lobby. The breakfast items, as mentioned, were standard fare and there was enough left for us when we arrived around 9 AM in the morning. We did have to ask for more pepper packages once and the coffee pump carafes were empty on the second morning. The check-out process was easy and handled professionally by another friendly young gentleman. Overall, this is a nicely renovated older property and the staff are generally friendly and professional. I would definitely stay here again when we visit Nacogdoches again.
We stayed one night at this location and I loved it. The room was very spacious and very clean. The hotel was recently remodeled. It was a very beautifully decorated room. The staff was very friendly. And I loved the location, right on Hwy 59 but not too noisy. Short distance to go to the historic downtown. Great hotel, I definitely will stay there again. PS: The mattresses could be a little bit more comfortable though.
Nice amenities, helpful staff, acceptable bed, quiet air conditioner/heater, good location, worst breakfast I've had at any hotel and that's saying a lot. I could slice the scrambled eggs and there was no bacon or even a place for it.
This is a great place to stay it was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to help us. We came to town to view the college our child will be attending in the Fall 2018.
The room was extremely clean and appealing. The outside of the hotel looks older, but the inside was updated and nice. It was quiet and nice. I've stayed at most of the hotels in the area, and this one was just as nice as the more expensive places. Save yourself some money and stay here!
My extended family stays here every summer for our family reunion. Last week I found my self in the area, alone, and decided it would be wise to stay where I knew it would be safe and comfortable. They were pretty full and only had a smoking room available. The smell was not good at first but after a few minutes of running the air conditioner I was no longer bothered by it. The room was, as I've always experienced here, clean and comfortable. The pillows were incredible! The staff is friendly and helpful. It was already dark when I arrived. I had trouble opening the door to the room and walked back up to the office without feeling any unease. The desk clerk walked back with me and opened the door with no problem. (You had to push down on the handle pretty hard) I had meant to set my stuff down and the go back out and lock the car. Well I forgot until the next morning when I left. My car had not been messed with. A great night's sleep and good breakfast in the morning.
Everything was perfect for a perfect nice sleep. Clean, great breakfast and coffee. Decor more budget but can't beat it for the price. It was still decent decor, sturdy, clean, just plain. Breakfast was good, it had eggs, sausage, great coffee, milk and yogurt to go. Cereals, waffles. But I really liked the comfort of the bed.
Nicely updated. Very comfortable bed & pillows. Clean room. Decent breakfast. The only thing I didn't like (& it's my fault for not researching it better) is all rooms have outside entrances. I prefer inside entrances.
The Civil Air Patrol uses this hotel exclusively for work done at the Texas Wing's Headquarters in Nacogdoches, TX. We are very satisfied with this hotel. Anytime any of us come up to do work at that facility, this is where we stay.
Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast average. Staff was friendly and helpful regarding restaurants in the area. Would definitely stay here again if in this area. Very good price for a nice room clean room.
It was a one night stay but it was worth it the restrooms were very clean, the room was a pretty good size and the bed was comfortable. Even though the pool was closed I wouldn't mind staying over there again
My husband and I were looking for a quiet and relaxing few days away. This hotel gave us just that! No major highways right outside....bed was very comfortable. We would visit again for sure. Front desk associates were very friendly and extremely helpful in explaining where various sights were located.
Best motel I have been at, better than the other Hotels in town. Much better than the other best western in town. The staff here is always friendly, and professional. Rooms are VERY clean, and they don't smell.
The staff was above and beyond helpful. There was a problem with Expedia and Nancy at the front desk efficiently handled the problem. Had very clean and comfortable rooms. They take pets. It is an excellent place to stay in east Texas.
Room was well decorated and clean. Front desk staff not very helpful or friendly. He made me feel like he didn't enjoy his job much. Forget the free breakfast. Coffee tasted like hot water. Go to McDonald's for breakfast. I will stay again.
we were stuck in east Texas during the beginning of the evacuation of Hurricane Harvey. We had to stay at other towns on our way out and they were horrible!! This Best Western was very clean /up-to-date/efficient.A definite plus!
After driving almost fifteen hours, my daughter and I were ready to sleep under a bridge if we needed to. It was very late so we did not want to spend a lot money since we also had to get up and out early. This Best Western was just perfect for what we needed which was a clean room at a reasonable price. Nothing fancy. It was full but we didn't hear a thing, and we felt safe. The next morning we enjoyed a no frills breakfast. Again the price was right for the little selection there was for breakfast. Over all, I was super satisfied.
We drove up and the property was not very pleasing to the eye. The front desk clerk did not ask for any ID. The room smelled weird and there were dead bugs in room. The mattress was hard and not comfortable.
It was okay for a couple of nights. They gave me a good corporate rate. It was clean and everyone was friendly, it is just not what I am used to. Nacogdoches does not offer many hotel options. There are two BW in Nacogdoches. If you stay, use the one outside of town, not the one on North Street.
The pool tile is falling apart and the bed was not very comfortable. The rooms were clean, and the size of the rooms are good. Breakfast buffet needs attention- everything was over cooked. Location is convenient to food and down town area.
I enjoy staying at Best Westerns when I choose a hotel. I think they are a god choice with value and we always take advantage of the free breakfast. Our room and all that we saw of the hotel was clean and neat. The only things that weren't great: 1) Wi-fi was not a great connection. The signal was weak in our room, and we actually lost the connection for a minute or two quite frequently. For us this wasn't a huge problem because we have plenty of available data. However, I mention it because I know it would be important to some people. 2) Our bathtub was a little slow to drain. I reported it and told them it was fine with us but they might want to check it when we left. 3) When you first enter the room, you can tell by the smell that this an older hotel. It is a bit musty smelling, but not overwhelming so. After just a couple of minutes I seem to have adapted to it and no longer noticed a smell. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Beds and pillows were comfortable, staff was friendly, it was clean, and decent free breakfast. We will return next year.
If you want a chef to make you breakfast, go across the street and pay twice as much. If you want good, basic service, a clean room, friendly staff, come here for a quality experience at a reasonable price.
The room was perfect size and very clean and well kept. They are very pet friendly and very helpful with tips on what to do and where to go in the area. Perfect location easy access to downtown, the university and the Highways in and out of town.
Very clean, large, well-appointed rooms. The beds were very comfortable and the room A/C was in good working order (a must in Texas during the summer). Friendly staff. Free wifi and free breakfast. Convenient for travel. Nice amenities. Would stay there again and recommend to friends.
Spent a night with family of 5, Room 201 has 3 very comfortable beds (loved it). After a long day in Houston, we arrived at around midnight. Check in was easy, room was welcoming. My only complain about the room was the tub not draining properly. Otherwise, room (and, the facility itself) was clean. Decor is easy on the eye. Hot and cold breakfast (Full breakfast) was served and that's where I had concerns. Food didn't look nor tasted fresh. I did not notice any food mishandling by the staff, presentation was clean and acceptable.
We haven't had much experience with a best western so we we're happy to see how clean and nice the room was. We went to the pool and it was also very clean. Breakfast the next morning had eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles with pastry, toast, choice of drinks plus more, so something for all of us. The people working there were very kind, friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.
I always try to stay at Best Western Hotels. They are always clean and modern. The staff are always professional and they cost is always within my budget. I will continue to stay at their hotels each time I travel.
In Nacogdoches for a sports tournament with teens. Although I don't usually stay at hotels with exterior doors- we made an exception & glad we did! Rooms were large & neat. We were able to bring our dog for a small fee & plenty of grassy area. Close to downtown.
great place, older hotel that has went through a full remodel, rooms are large and clean with up to date décor, waffles are great, shaped as Texas, laundry area nice, plenty of lighting in parking lot at night
We were vendors at the Texas Blueberry Festival and booked this hotel. The staff is very friendly, both at afternoon checkin and morning checkout. The beds are very comfy. We only had time for breakfast one morning and it was delicious, so much of a variety to choose from. This hotel is also close to downtown and restaurants. Very clean. Quite. Will definately stay there again.
The staff was very friendly, the rooms were very clean, and breakfast was really good. The kids loved all the choices at breakfast. The express checkout was a welcome option. I would definitely stay here again.
This entire property is very clean! The staff is very friendly! The room was big! The bed was not the most comfy but was not the worst bed I have slept on in a hotel. It appears to have been recently updated or built. They do have a small free breakfast in the morning. It was ok. The coffee was not my favorite but it is free. This hotel is a good value for the money we paid. Staff is great here!
Pretty nice room, comfy bed, nice pool, no complaints about the service or the room. BUT...each room's door opens to the outside. We were on the second floor. Even though we were in a non-smoking room, there were constantly people standing right outside our door/window smoking. So we couldn't even use the a/c, much less open the window. It's a shame, because otherwise it was a good value for the price. Just not for non-smokers.
Very fair pricing for room and the staff is exceptional. I will stay here for the remainder of my job. I would definitely recommend staying here during your overnight stays while in Nacogdoches Texas.
The hotel was nice and clean . Staff was friendly. The bed was very hard, made for a hard nights sleep. Otherwise, bathroom was very clean and the area was nice . I would stay at a Beat Western again when traveling.
The rep at the desk was very nice and met all my needs. He was gracious and had a great smile. I taught and managed service representatives for 30 years and he met all the marks. I always stay here when I am in the area.
Great experience. Excellent. Will return when next in town. Excellent value, good location and helpful staff. Nothing negative to say. Don't hesitate to stay at this hotel. You will not be disappointed .
Remodeling going on. Rooms very nicely decorated and comfortable and clean. Very quiet and great breakfast options. Reception staff very personable and helpful. Construction on frontage road completed and easy access in both directions. Location not far from downtown and university.
Great place. Good value and the rooms are super nice and very clean. I would stay there again if I ever work in the Nacodgoches Texas area. Nice comfortable beds and everything in the room works. I found the staff very nice and friendly and also helpful.
I'd read this hotel had been updated and since my regular hotel in Nac was booked I thought I'd try it. What a disappointment! The sheets were worn and stained and the blanket was just nubby and gross with hair in it. The beds were super uncomfortable. The toilet was so close to the door and wall it was almost unusable maybe 8 inches away, and the toilet paper roll was about 3 inches away from the seat! Totally ridiculous! It's sad because just looking at the room you could tell it had been updated and it looked clean until you turned the bed down.
We normally use the high end hotel chains when we travel but because of late plans booked here. We were pleasantly surprised with the accommodations. Very clean, nice rooms, and very friendly staff! Would recommend this hotel above high end chains in the area for the value.
Very clean, and staff was extremely friendly, and courteous, desk clerk at check in went out of her way to meet my request The hotel was full with a fishing contest in town, but the hotel was quiet and breakfast area had plenty of room and food was fresh
My husband & I enjoyed the experience that we had at this motel. Been to alot of motels and this was great. We didn't use the pool do I can't comment about that. Everything else was great. The staff was very helpful.
The room was very clean. Beautifully decorated. Mattresses were terrible. Could not sleep all night. This is the second time we have stayed here and the first time was great. But the last time it was terribly uncomfortable.
This is a great hotel, it will great place to stay, it will get better after road construction is complete. the room was nice and comfortable, with nice towels. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices.
It's a motel. Older property. Musty smell. On a highway that's always under construction. On the good side, they've made an effort at fixing up the rooms. Fresh paint and tile in bathroom. Carpet in good condition. 35 inch TV. I paid $85 night. Importantly bed was comfortable. Might stay again but I can see this place getting bad quickly if not maintained
The hotel is newly renovated, the room great (bed was a bit firm, fine for me, a bit hard for my wife) The staff are helpful & friendly. We stay at many hotels and especially Best Western brand, seldom a problem, if so it is addressed immediately or by contact with corporate office. This is one of two Best Western in Nacogdoches and came recommended and it is fine. Still, I will be interested in checking the other nearby location on the North end of town as well
Be aware if you stay here. The staff is rude and If you're not checked out by the required noon check out time, then expect a rude and condescending phone call from the front desk at 12:01pm. This happened even though I requested and was granted a later check out when I checked in at 2:00am in the morning. The rude and condescending gentleman that called at 12:01 from the front desk claimed that no one game him the message or left him a note about my late check out. Regardless, I was checked out of the hotel by 12:10pm. So the attitude and the way I was treated by the gentleman at the front desk was unnecessary for a mere ten minutes.
Friendly faces, courteous staff and attentive to my family's needs. Room was clean and nicely made up. Modern looking furniture and bed coverings. Nice to have a microwave and fridge in the room. The first night we were there Nancy the desk clerk was VERY helpful to me and my special needs.??
Spent two nights at BW South during recent fishing trip. Rooms were updated and clean and super comfortable. Parking lot had several extended lots for parking truck and boat with access to electrical outlet. Sandy and the entire staff were great...from making the initial reservation, check in and check out. Thanks for the entire team for making us feel welcome. Once the construction is completed on Hwy 59, even the minor inconvenience will be eliminated.
I had a very enjoyable time with my son who lives in Nacogdoches. When my son came to visit me in my room, though, he would get a headache. He said he could smell mold. The room was stuffy until I turned on the air conditioner. It didn't bother me.
Perfect place to stay and the best location for the $$$. Rooms are recently remodeled and look great and the staff is excellent. Take the time to get to know Sandy and Nancy and they will always remember you. The only place i'll stay when in town.
Staff was friendly and professional. The room was great, nice location, close to town and everything that we were doing in Nacogdoches that weekend. Only issue is that there is construction on South Street right now which has the entrance to hotel all torn up. Not the hotel's fault but just an FYI. Hotel is right off South Street as it becomes the highway between Nac and Lufkin so you might hear traffic and loud trucks. But we slept great both nights!
I had a great night's sleep at Best Western. The Bed was very comfortable. The Room very clean. Breakfast was hot and good, with a great variety to choose from. The hotel was far enough from the hustle of the college, yet close enough to get there in no time. Gas stations and restaurants were very close. The loop was practically next door yet I could not hear the cars. I'm never disappointed when I stay at a Best Western Hotel.
Nice clean rooms, and fast internet. Good continental breakfast. We stayed here when we were dropping our daughter off at college. The staff was friendly our room was specious and clean. The internet was fast, and the continental breakfast had a variety of items to choose from.
We stay at this hotel on a regular basis (at least 10 times a year). The staff is always friendly and helpful (especially Sandy and Nancy). The rooms have been remodeled and look terrific and are always clean. The hotel is always clean as well and we love that they have a bbq area.
Rooms are clean, quiet and recently renovated. One thing Iike about exterior corridor motel is, its very convenient to go in room from where you have your vehicle parked. Sometimes you park right in front of your room which make it very convenient as specially when you are with kids and has to carry stuff from you car to your room.
Lady at check-in was very nice and helpful. BUT, the room we were given was suppose to be non-smoking. The room smelled like smoke. Asked to change rooms, only thing was available was a suite, which we had to pay the difference. The suite had no remote control and no coffee maker. Linens had cigarette burns on sheets and bedspread, bugs and food under the chair cushions. Left messages to Manager Mr. Patel but, never returned my calls.
Very friendly staff at check-in and at check-out. Very comfortable beds, large rooms, fast wi-fi, and a great-tasting breakfast. I cannot say one thing bad about this hotel. Also, close to downtown and easy to locate with GPS. Highly recommend.
Let me start by saying the girl at the front desk was very helpful. The beds were hard. We had to change rooms because even though it said non smoking- it smelled like a smoking room. We did get a bigger room for the same price. Even though the second room smelled better, we found cigarette burn holes in the sheets, blankets, and comforters! We had crickets crawling on the headboard. Traffic noise all night long. When we got in the room, there was no remote and coffee pot was missing. Both of those problems were dealt with quickly. Pool is small but clean. Under the cushions of one of the chairs there was several pieces of food. I normally like Best Westerns but this one disappointed. Fortunately it was only for 1 night.
The room was newly renovated. So it was very nice. It was a quiet stay. It was difficult getting in and out due to all the road construction. The breakfast was fair. There was plenty of choices. The staff was very nice.
The rates were great! The hotel had a little age but it was very nice and I would definately stay again! The beds are a little hard and the breakfast selection was not great but the food that was there was good. The employees were very helpful and friendly and try to make sure that your stay is a good one.
This was not a fancy hotel but as I said in the title, it was clean, quiet, comfortable, and safe. The breakfast was not fancy either but it was perfectly clean in the breakfast area and the food was good. I really love those Texas shaped waffles. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The motel is right on Rt. 59 so there's no problem finding it, and it's easy to get into town. The only problem I had was that the pool was closed. It looked fine to me but there was a sign stating that it was closed. I didn't really need to use the pool but on one day it was really warm and it would have been nice.
This hotel was really good. The desk lady was very nice when we arrived, the room was clean, parking was right in front of our room. The only thing I would recommend is to invest in some softer towels, but that's a minor problem. We will stay here again, no need to spend a ton of money on a bigger name hotel.
We have stayed here several times in the past the rooms are always clean and the staff is awesome. This trip not so good the room was clean and newly renovated, the lighting is very dim even with all the lights on, the bed was like sleeping on a piece of plywood on a frame, the bath tub would not drain and we informed the front desk, The door to the outside a gap in the bottom we had to stuff a towel in to try and keep the bugs out. Like I said we have stayed here several times in the past. Sandy at the front desk would only say sorry and were offered no discounts no other options. The old rooms where much more comfortable. I won't be going back anytime in the near future. The breakfast is free everything is microwaved and the waffle maker wasn't working properly.
In the heart of the East Texas area, Nacogdoches Inn has always been comfortable. We have stayed there several times on many trips to and from the east coast and Central US. The Staff are always friendly and helpful, rooms are always clean. Even with renovation construction in process, there was no lack in the Service we expect from a Best Western Property.
I have stayed here before and it is a place I recommend Rooms are clean not fancy but clean and comfortable. They have a nice breakfast area with a nice selection of things. It did look like they are doing some renovations by the parking lot, but I did not hear any noise and the room appeared to have been updated since I last stayed here.
The GOOD: -Very good rates. (May not hold true after refurbishment is complete) -Clean, including bathroom. -Friendly staff -Most rooms just refurbished (new paint, carpet, bathroom floor and wall tile, new tub/shower, vanity, fixtures. There's a 'but' though, below) -AC worked well -King room was roomy The BAD: -Older hotel, all the room furniture is still the beat up old original, although the rooms have been refurbished otherwise, Needs newer furniture. -Bed was hard -Room doors are outside doors opening onto parking lot. -Very poor room lighting -Breakfast was very sparse, unlike many Best Westerns today. -It's located on the west side of US 59 highway about 2.5 miles south of the town center, where the restaurants and historic district is. Large trucks are constantly rumbling by throughout the night, and every day a very long northbound line of traffic (mostly trucks) backs up in front of the hotel driveway, blocking access to go into town, and making for a long wait when you do finally get into the line.
Convenient to everything, friendly staff, clean, but the bed was uncomfortable and the breakfast was lacking. Free breakfast was unappetizing with stale donuts, thick gravy, rock-hard biscuits and tasteless sausage. However, the price of the room allowed for a nice meal elsewhere.
This is an inexpensive, but clean hotel with a friendly staff. They have a decent breakfast and the rooms are in good shape. They are currently doing renovation on some of the rooms so I recommend you request a room away from the construction.
Was greeted late in evening by a pleasant middle aged woman at front desk who was very helpful in putting us in the perfect room for our stay, everything I asked for was delivered, a bottom floor room that I could back my vehicle to the door, along with the 2 Queen size beds for 3 adults, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. I have no complaints for the price I paid, the room appeared to have been just remodeled and in excellent condition.
This is very pleasant hotel on the Sout side of town. Not far from the college but far enough away where it is quiet and peaceful. Right beside the loop. Good breakfast and nice rooms. A little older but remodeling has upgraded it.
Fell way below my expectations. Not good at all. Sausage patties were frozen and tough, gravy tasted watery, tater tots that were meant to be hash browns were not cooked before placing in warmer, frozen biscuits, only eggs were hard boiled, but the coffee was good.
A nice place to stay on the south side of town. The hotel is quiet, and gas and restaurants are located across the road. Easy access to the National Forests in the area. The center of town and the Visitor Center is about a 5 or 10 minute drive.
I was surprised how friendly the staff was and how they went out of their was to help me. I called the day of check in and spoke to Sandy who answered all my questions with a smile you could hear over the phone. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was well stocked with hot items as well as your normal breakfast items. The only thing that I had a problem with was the room did not have a hairdryer in it. There was an iron and ironing board, as well as plenty of pillows and towels. I will stay here again my next time in Nacogdoches.
Best part first. Staff and check-in service was very quick, professional and friendly. The room was ok, but had a musty smell. Breakfast was not up to par with what I've come to expect from BW. Coffee was weak, waffle batter tasted "off" and orange juice was just plain bad.
Needed a pet friendly place to stay. Not fancy but nice. Was very quiet. Only one small thing, the bathroom is very small. When picking up after our dog it would have been nice if there were more outside trash receptacles. Will stay here again when traveling with our fur baby.
I would not recommend this hotel if you are a single female traveling alone because the doors open to the outside of the building. The location was on a busy highway so exiting the driveway was almost impossible if going to the north. The coffee located at the breakfast area was cold.
This property is undergoing major renovations. However, the contractors were courteous & considerate; they didn't start working before 9 when we were there. Breakfast was all that anyone should need. Our room had not been remodeled; so bathroom was a little bit worn. The upgrades look like everything will be top notch, but we suspect the inconvenience of the construction resulted in ultra reasonable rates.
They are remodeling this motel. It will be nice when done. The room I had had a strong mildew smell I am sure due to the remodel work. I will stay again, its a good location & the Staff was friendly & helpful
If you are looking for a hot breakfast in the morning? Don't consider this hotel. The breakfast was a big disappointment. The hotel was clean, but very average overall... We ended up leaving and driving down to Burger King to eat.
we stayed here recently while visiting family in the area. the room was comfortable. Its a standard room. Nothing out of the ordinary except the towels are rough. I liked the microwave and fridge in the rooms. That's helpful. I didn't do the breakfast but I saw cereal, juice and waffles in the dining area. The pool was a little messy and needed to be cleaned. parking is good. The hotel is convenient to most everything in the town.
