Best Western Hotel Tritone

Really impressed with this hotel. The area isn't the best to stay in but the hotel was perfect for us right next to the train station and easy access into Venice 10 min train journey. The hotels attention to detail with facilities in our room was perfect and the staff were amazing

The staff could not have been more helpful. Breakfast was reasonably priced and plentiful. Location was also excellent across from the train station. The rooms were not large and the showers a bit cramped. For 200 characters I will have to waste my time.

Staff were great. They were very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Breakfast was very good. Rooms were good except the shower was a bit small. It's also handy to the train station and only a short train or bus ride to the Island of Venice. Some good places to eat nearby as well.

The hotel is clean and quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable. The hotel is across the street from the train station which makes it convenient to get to Venice. There are many good restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel that we were able to walk to. The internet worked well for us. The breakfast selection was amazing too! The staff were helpful and gave great restaurant recommendations. The front desk called a cab for us the day before to get us to the Marco Polo airport so we could make our flight which was much appreciated.

Difficult check in, couldn't find one of our two rooms at first and suggested we all stay in one room , nothing like the pictures posted, only window in our room was in the bathroom, others were permanently shuttered, 25euro charge for airport shuttle

the pillows were a little bit flat for my liking. Wallpaper was ripped and or pealing, and the air conditioning was dripping. The beds were nice and firm. The staff were fabulous ,very helpful. and very convenient to the train's across the street.

1 Disgusting hotel. Toilets, showers, and sinks don't work and employees hate Americans. Black mold all around showers, toilets and showers overflow. Employees control thermostats from the front desk. They left mine blowing hot air at 28c throughout the stay. Only one night employee was kind enough to turn down the temperature. As soon as day shift arrived they turned the heat back up and said there was nothing they could do. When we asked to have rooms moved they said impossible. When asked to check out a day early they said we would be charged and there was nothing that could be done.

Convenient location, just across the train station. Lots of restaurants and stores in the neighborhood. The room is spacious and bright. The staff are courteous. Not like those three star hotels, this one is more professional. I Would choose it again in future.

Top location next to train station (easy 10 min train trip to Venice). Our room was completely silent at night. Great customer service. We had a family room with a partial wall separation between our bed and the kids' beds (the hotel made them 2 twin beds). The beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was great and all we needed. The staff was super helpful and kind. The only drawback was there was not much space for 4 people to eat at (we needed to eat our breakfast at 4 a.m. before catching an early flight) but it was not a big problem - we just took turns using the desk area. 15-min (early morning traffic) taxi ride to the airport.

Friendly staff, great breakfast! Across from bus stop and train to Venice. Train was the quickest way to Venice (<10 minutes) and very comfortable. Parking is right beside the hotel. Rooms were a good size and very clean and beds comfortable. No street or train noise.

Overall great hotel. The location is great. Directly across from train station with bus station within a block. Rooms were clean and well appointed. I would caution anyone with bad knees or can;t raise legs very high to say away from the two bed room. The shower tub combo in the room we stayed in had a rim that was so high it was very difficult to enter and get out of. Our second stay, of two nights at the end of our trip, we picked the single king which was super, huge shower very clean and well appointed.

My first time ever in Italy, and our tour agent reserved Tritone for us. Straight on arrival, we were disappointed with the hotel. We arrived early so had to wait for checkin after a 10 hour flight. When we got our room, it was likely the smallest one on the 1st floor. An error by the booking agent reserved 2 rooms for us, so we asked for that one. Much better size, but no air conditioning. And it was hot weather most of the time. We asked for a room change only to be told all were reserved but to check the next day. We did and still nothing even though we witnessed others checking out. The room and hotel were so bad, we scouted the area and were able to find a much better room at Best Western Bologna. The two stars are for the breakfast. Had I not found another room it would have ruined my vacation which I was not about to allow. Thank you Bologna!

From dropping our bags off at 10am to checking out Hotel Tritone meet or exceeded our expectations. Great customer service. Very good location. Quiet room with a comfortable bed and nice pillows. Breakfast had a variety of options and sitting out on the patio was a lovely way to start the day.

Perfect location opposite the train station and 11 minutes air conditioned train journey into Venice Santa Lucia. Away from the crowds of Venice this was a perfect location to be based. The hotel reception team are amazing and so welcoming. The flavoured water and Venetian Burano biscuits are a delicious bonus. Breakfast was extremely plentiful with fresh fruit , yoghurts , cheese , charcuterie, scrambled eggs , meat , boiled eggs , salad and a wonderful freshly baked bread selection as well as an array of cakes - couldn't ask for more The room itself is on the small side and bathroom compact with shower , bidet , sink and toilet . Tea and coffee in the room a bonus and a fridge with complimentary water each day was a lovely touch. Overall the room is traditionally furnished and as expected for a city hotel Air conditioning was effective and very much needed !

Myself and my JJ loved this hotel. The staff are incredibly friendly, professional, warm and helpful. Filippo was a STAR, he went over and above to ensure that our stay was amazing. The staff who managed the breakfast dining room were double thumbs up good. All the staff at this hotel deserve to have their salaries doubled as each and everyone of them were attentive to our needs. Our room was a little dark but that was down to the decor. The design of having I no wardrobe but pipes to hang your clothes on was a good idea but the hanging clothes would get in the way of the tv screen if one wanted to watch tv. Other than that I would definitely recommend this hotel. The staff made a good stay an absolute great stay. I cannot thank them enough - I just hope the sweets we bought them showed them how much they are appreciated.

The person who looks like Mr. Bean. Glasses with grey hair at the front desk is extremely rude. Constantly will push us away without being attentive and not even make eye contact with us. He was rude since the first day we got here. Everyone else was helpful and attended us right away. He also would be way nicer to the locals than us. 10/10 wouldn't recommend, fix the attitude or get more sleep sir. Oh and the AC SUCKS!!! Extremely hot in the rooms. Only pro is it's right next to the metro and bus that takes you to venice.

Lovely friendly staff, clean and a good breakfast. Excellent location a few minutes from the station. Good value too, the only negative is the use of paper cups and plastic spoons in the rooms, not very environmentally friendly....

We stayed at this hotel on a two night bed and breakfast weekend before our cruise.. The hotel looks unassuming from the roadway, however the reception staff are brilliant, the rooms a bit outdated but as for cleanliness excellent, all other areas are immaculate, breakfast very good choice and staff very welcoming The hotel is located opposite train and bus station into Venice. We caught the number 2 bus in, (as ticket queue at train station was lengthy)..you get your ticket for bus from machine at bus stop €1.50 per person, press language button required, very straight forward. Also Venice the €5 tax when staying at this hotel you are exempt, so DONT pay before leaving home, however you do need to scan QR code and fill in form, which reception staff will assist.. There is no restaurant or bar at this hotel, but lots of restaurants nearby.. All in all would recommend this hotel

We had a great stay at Best Western Hotel Tritone. It is very convenient to Mestre train station (across the street). Our room was very clean and quiet. Beds were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was 8 euros at checkin and was really good with lots of variety. Only issue was the scrambled eggs were cold. I would definitely stay there again.

Location of the hotel (Mestre) is convienient to access Venice and more around - on opsite side of the streat railway station and bus station. Easy to get to Veniece Santa Lucia, Treviso airport or any other place. Hotel is clean, staff is extreamly helpful, polite and supportive - big thanks, guys! Room was also as it should be - no single complaint. Breakfast choises could be a little bit wider (i.e. - I was missing porage:)), but in general - nothing to complain! Recommend 100%.

We had a most comfortable and happy stay at this Hotel. The reception staff and the staff in the breakfast room could not do enough for us. We would particularly like to thank Eleonara at reception who was so kind and welcoming and recommended vey nice restaurants for us in the evening. The room was very comfortable and the hotel was very conveniently placed for catching the bus into Venice, and to the airport.

I stayed at the hotel from 4/5 to 7/5 and since then been trying to reach out via e-mail because I forgot personal belongings in there, but I receive no response. A general e-mail from their company have talked to me but not able to redirect to Best Western Tritone. I wanted to solve this since I'll be in Italy for a week still, but the experience was very frustrating. Not able to give an evaluation about our experience there since this is my main experience at the moment.

We mistook the Best Western Tritone for the BW Bologna, both in Mestre, one block from each other. We are glad we ended up at Tritone, as it was much quieter. The other was crowded and noisy. Staff at Tritone suggested a great restaurant nearby!

A lovely hotel that was clean, welcoming with staff generous with their time and information. The location is perfect for using the trains to and from Venice that were cheap, easy to use and very regular. Will definitely be using this hotel again

When choosing our hotel, we were uncertain on whether to stay on Venice Island or Mestre, but in the end, we chose Mestre, mainly due to the price and we were not disappointed. After a 7am Jet2 flight from Manchester (Fri 22nd March), we caught the airport shuttle bus which took you to the train station, where the hotel was literally less than two minutes' walk away. We arrived at the hotel around 11:30am and they said our room was ready, check in was very quickly done and first impressions were that the hotel was very clean. We were very impressed with the size of our room; however, it was on the ‘M floor' overlooking the bus stop on the main road which was very noisy. We returned to reception and asked Eleonora if there were any quieter rooms. She had a look on the computer and fortunately there was a spare room (122) on the next floor which was on the quieter side of the hotel. We were unsure on where to eat in the evening and again Eleonora came to the rescue by recommending Da Michele which was less than four minutes' walk away. In fact, it was that good we went on three consecutive nights. The area also felt very safe to walk about at night. Breakfast in the hotel was very good with plenty of variety (including eggs, bacon, and sausage) and the restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. You also got a complementary map of Venice from the hotel, plus there was water and small snacks in the fridge which was replenished each day. The first day, we went straight to Venice Island using the train, (1.45 euro each), while on the second day we caught the train to Verona (10.20 euro each way). Verona was around 1 hour 20 mins away, but well worth the visit. On the third day, we went to Venice Island again but bought the day tickets for 25 euro each, which allowed us to visit the islands of Burano and Murano. On our final day, we ventured into the centre of Mestre, which was nice and peaceful and passed a couple of hours before our flight home. Despite being towards the end of March, the weather was excellent. After checking out of the hotel, they looked after our luggage in a safe room. Also, on checking out, we had to pay the Italian tax, which was 3.10 euros per person per night. We then had a quick snack at the McDonald's based at the station and caught the shuttle bus back to the airport. Overall, it was a very enjoyable city break, which was made all the better by staying at the Best Western Tritone hotel.

This is a very nice hotel, no complaints other than the horrible smell of gas when you enter the front lobby. We were concerned that there might be an emergency the first time we smelled it, but it was like that for our entire stay. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet had a good variety of choices.

Very comfortable hotel with excellent public transport. Opposite the station (but not noisy) and there are regular buses to the airport, Venice and Mestre centre. Reasonable restaurants around the hotel and in Mestre if you want an authentic Italian experience. Mestre also has a shopping centre, fab market and art gallery. The bus from the stop opposite the hotel takes about 20 minutes to get into Venice.

Excelet hotel, friendly staff, very good breakafast, clean rooms, toilet luxury products, very good connection with the old town of Venice (the hotel is near the train station and the transfer cost only 1.45 euro one way) and great connection with Treviso airport (the bus station is in front of the hotel). Highly recommended for price/quality.

Arrived on my birthday complimentary room update was a bonus. Staff were really friendly & helpful recommending places in Venice to visit & arranging our taxi back to the airport. Room was spacious & breakfast was plentiful. Highly recommend as on the mainland & less noisy than Venice city

This was a perfect hotel. The room was spacious and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. There was both a kettle and an espresso machine in the room which was a welcome addition. I wish more European Hotels provided these. Breakfast was great. The staff were friendly and helpful speaking very good English. Parking is next to the hotel and costs extra. It's a bit pricy but worth it in my opinion. The overall decor in the reception area was very stylish. The staircase was particularly impressive. I would happily stay here again

Last minute stay for just one night. It's right across the street from convenient trains to Venice and elsewhere -- Very convenient. All the staff I encountered were very nice and helpful. Wi-fi was good. Breakfast was nice. No obvious place to pull up to hotel to check-in and find out about parking, but as long as you can work that out, no complaints at all. Parking valid for 24-hrs, so it worked out perfectly for me for a quick visit to Venice before returning to pick up my car and catching my flight out the next evening.

Clean and comfortable basic hotel, perfect location if you want to stay outside Venice City. 20 mins from airport with the AVTO bus stopping 3 mins walk from the hotel. Bus stop 1 min walk away from hotel and goes to Venice city and back in less than 15 mins at a cost of 1.5€ pp. Train 2 min walk away with connection to a lot of areas in Italy. Would highly recommend if you are coming to Venice for a short stay and looking for convenient without the expensive price tag.

Great location for Venicice with the bus and train station right over the road. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We booked a deluxe room which was exactly as in the pictures. Just a shame the windows don't open but there isn't a view anyway. Breakfast was reasonable with plenty of choice. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for somewhere to stay while visiting Venice at a more reasonable price.

Had a two night stay here. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Room was beautiful. Immaculately clean room, dining room and communal areas. Great location with good transport links to Venice. Train station and bus stop just over the road. Free WiFi. Breakfast good value and good selection. Highly recommend.

The staff was helpful and friendly, breakfast was wonderful and the hotel was clean and tidy. Night clerk showed us how to use the coffee machine to get coffee early unlike another hotel where the staff yelled at me for trying to get coffee before they opened the breakfast counter. Had a great stay.

Clean comfortable & a perfect location for Venice. The breakfast was disapponting. Ice cold bacon & eggs. Our shower door was off the rails. Staff were lovely & made you feel very welcome. The bus from the airport is across the road & trains to Venice run every 2-3mins

We took our grandson, stayed in a small but adequate clean family room. at Hotel Tritoni in Mestre. Perfect location for train to Venice (excellent by the way, children under 15 free) & easy access to Marco Polo airport by bus. Staff very friendly & helpful, nothing appeared to be too much trouble. Breakfast both leisurely & plentiful Really good choice for a fair priced hotel within easy reach of Venice & further. Great little cafe around the corner, my grandson says really good spaghetti carbonara!

Hotel is a great location, rooms alittle dated, but very clean and great choice at breakfast, its so warm in August with a teenager i found a pool on facebook called La Grotto was great during the day sunbathe and swimming shower and change and into venice at tea time, train 10mins and only 1.45 euros each, across the road from the hotel Staffare lovely and very helpful

Very nice hotel, very good and various breakfast, comfortable room, very near to bus or train station, only 3 minutes by feet. We stayed at 4th floor, but the hotel nextdoor has a space where at night they have party!! A little noise but it was ok.

I loved everything! I can feel that the staffs are working hard to make customers happy and comfortable. Especially, Camila was very kind and helpful!!! I strongly recommend this hotel for family travelers!

Stayed here for only one night as travelling to Trieste after. Arrived into Marco Polo airport great airport 20 mins from landing getting bags etc. we got the number 15 bus outside that took us direct to our hotel. Upon arrival we were greeted by a really friendly guy very efficient and polite we had room 122 first floor, really lovely bright clean room and bathroom with a great shower all spotless. Freshened up and took the train to Venice great day and evening and back to a very comfy bed, good nights sleep. Morning we sat outside for breakfast, again spotless and enough to eat. We wouldn't hesitate in staying here again, Mestre is a very working town but for a stopover it's fabulous.

OUTSTANDING HOTEL! I came with my family to stay three nights in the hotel for a pre cruise stay.First of all, the staff goes over and it beyond expectations to help you here. We stayed in a superior room with connecting bedrooms. Room has a kettle, fridge. Beds are comfy. Washrooms and rooms are clean and recently renovated. Riccardo and Camilla at the front desk are amazing, kind and helpful. They go beyond to help answer questions about Venice and local restaurants. I would stay here again and recommend it to my friends and family. TIP: Take bus 2 into Venice it takes less than 15 min to get there. Then you can take water ferries etc to all the major attractions. Also it is across from Mestre train station and Airport AvTo bus as well. Extremely convenient!!

The whole hotel, beds, breakfast and staff were top class. Rooms were clean and fresh and serviced when we wanted, and to a very high standard. The breakfast was amazing with lots of choices to suit everyone. Will definitely stay here again.

We stayed there for a night and we had the most terrible experience ever when the lift was broken when we were inside lifting up from ground to 3rd floor. We stayed closed and locked in the lift for about 25 minutes!!! We immediately pressed the security alarm and the reception guy responded only after 3 minutes telling us that he will call the technician. The time was passing by, no action and oxygen in the lift was diminishing. There was no air refresher inside. So with very little oxygen, we decided to take action ourselves by trying to open the lift door by our hands! After a few attempts we managed to open the door. Fortunately, the lift did not move from the beginning so we exited the lift immediately. The reception guy was outside and he looked lost and shocked. Most probably, he was not even ever trained in handling such an emergency event. Next day morning, we noticed that the lift was still not working (sign outside the lift). It means that we would have ended up staying in the lift for the whole night if we didn't manage to open the door ourselves. We went to the reception to complaint mainly for the slow response for such an emergency even, the lack of air refresh in the lift and the absence of any maintenance/service certificated in the lift (mandatory in the country). The reaction of the reception people was UNBELIEVABLE!! We expected a polite explanation or at least an apology for what happened. Instead, the front guy was even not looking at us (busy on his desk screen) and just said nothing. After 5 minutes of monologue, he decided to talk saying "well.... you can make review, if you have a complaint". Honestly - a definitely no-go hotel!! AVOID IT!!!!

Nice little hotel, with comfortable guest rooms. Breakfast buffet was good with hot eggs and cold cuts and breads and coffee/tea. Rooms were quiet at night. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Definitely would stay there again.

We chose this hotel as it showed its very close to Mestre Station. We were not disappointed. We had to take 2 trains in 3 days so this worked our perfectly. We could easily manage our luggage by walking across the street. This hotel is also exact on the bus stop to and from Venice Island. You can but tickets directly outside the hotel at Enjoy Cafe. We bought the 25€ 24 hour pass. The room was comfortable for the price and warm. We had requested an extra blanket and it was already in our room on arrival. The bathroom has a situation as the pot is on a corner and would be difficult for a taller person to use. The staff was efficient and helpful Loretta was amazing. Breakfast room was one of the cutest I have seen! With George Michael playing in the back ground!

Most important for us was the friendlines we met all the way from booking to arriving and leaving the hotel with teenagers. We got good advices for visit to Venice and travelling to airport. Keep up the great work!

So we stayed at the Best Western Tritone hotel as part of a 4 day stay in Venice with the family. We chose Mestre purely because we wanted something that wasn't crazy in costs, something a bit more contemporary which would be clean and tidy. First impressions was the location of where the hotel is located wasn't the greatest but once your in the hotel it's nice, the staff are really friendly. We had a small wait for our room as we arrived just before check-in time but they managed to sort something out and we could leave our bags in a safe place. Our room was suited for 2 adults and a child although the location of the toilet in our room wasn't ideal, the shower didn't have much force and was moving all over the place and there was a distant lack of sockets available to charge our electrical goods which was disappointing. Also there are a lot of loud noises which go on till about 1/2am as I think there are a few bars nearby. Apart from those minor faults, the rest of the hotel was great. Breakfast is very much European continental which we didn't fully check as we were hoping for some British options so we did struggle in particular for the veggies in the family. Location to train station is literally a 5 min walk, there is also connections via bus to the airport which is 5 mins the other direction but taxi's are also available and the hotel have a preferred taxi company they can call if you prefer that. The hotel was decently priced, it wasn't quite as compentary as we hoped it would be, I would probably put it as a good 3 star hotel but to not pay the crazy hotel Venice prices overall we were happy, the costs for the train are relatively cheap for a open return ticket as well and takes about 12 mins each way. Train services are fairly regular (approx. 15-20 mins) and run to long hours. Also to note from the Mestre station you can link to other major cities in Italy like Rome and Milan. Would recommend you book in advance though if you plan to venture out as the tickets last min are expensive. If we had planned better it would have been great to have done a day in Milan as it takes about 2 hours each way. Would recommend the hotel if you haven't stayed here before but personally now I have been I would try somewhere else if I was to come back.

Very good location especially for those who want multiple day trips to Venice. Location opposite Mestre railway station and Mestre Stazillione bus stop. Rooms are clean but double check the room size as per your need. Their rooms with 1 x twin and 1 x single bed with a cupboard and mini fridge just fit for a couple. Bathroom is not spacious but equipped with all basics i.e. toiletries, hair-dryer etc. I would recommend that you book room with breakfast included. Dining area is nice and clean with good variety of breakfast including various gluten/dairy-free options i.e. cereal, cake, fruits, soya milk etc. Staff are friendly and helpful. Reception staff is also very friendly and helpful. A couple of them speak English. WiFi has decent speed but not great for Netflix. Heating/Aircon are centrally controlled from reception who ensure room temperature is appropriate. Good housekeeping provided daily. If your plan is to hit Venice everyday of your stay than this is good choice. Travelling distance is approx. 15 mins to and from Venice by bus (Bus no. 2). It is advisable to consider travel card with different options i.e. 1 day, 2 days, 3 days etc. I went for 3 day unlimited travel card costed me 45 Euro per person. It works on all public transports in Mestre and Venice including water buses. It doesn't include Gondola Ride in Venice. Gondola Ride costs 80 Euro for 30 minutes but you can easily negotiate price to 60 Euro if get ride off Grand Canal or Piazza-el-Roma etc. In Venice, must do things include: (a) San Marco tourist spot which has a tower to view whole of Venice, huge square, Basilica etc. (b) Rialto bridge and Rialto Marceto if you want to get a glimpse of locals day-to-day (c) Local restaurants in Misericordia street (d) Day trip to Murano and Burano islands. Best to take water bus no. 3 from Piazza-el-Roma to Murano (approx. 30 min journey) and water bus no. 12 to Burano island (approx. 15 min journey). Both islands are great places to visit especially Murano where you get to see Italy's famous glass art. Burano is comparatively small, famous for its leaning tower and houses painted with unusual colors. (e) Streets near Venice Hospital is good place to see local life style Last but not the least, for transfers etc. use local taxi called Radio Taxi especially for Marco Polo Airport. It costs 35 Euro (one side).

This hotel is just outside Venice. It is super convenient in every way. It is 25 mins from the airport max. ATVO bus trip costs €10 pp each way and you buy the tickets from the machines at the airport. Then catch the bus just outside the airport to the right hand side. Once you arrive at the stop in Mestre station, the hotel is just a 3 minute walk. We arrived by 11am and we were able to check in as our room was ready. The guy at reception was very friendly and helpful. Mestre train station is also a 3 minute walk from the hotel (literally across the road). The train takes you into Venice within 10 mins for €1.40 pp. It is worth upgrading to the Superior room as they are modern/newer than the standard rooms and still saved about €350 than staying in Venice itself. 100% recommend if you want to save yourself some money but still stay in a decent hotel in a nearby area. The staff were super helpful and friendly from the moment we walked in. 100% staying here if/when we return.

Friendly English speaking & friendly staff. Excellent in every way & exceeds expectations from a Best Western hotel. Modern facilities that you expect from an international hotel. In Italy many hotel ms do not even provide a kettle let alone coffee/tea.

If you are on a budget and want to go to Venice, this is the hotel for you. The cost per night is about a third of the price in Venice. It is across the street from the Venice Mestre train station. It only cost 1.40euros to go to St. Lucia train station in Venice proper. Location always matters to me. It was quiet, as well. The rooms are small, but who needs a large room when you are in Venice?! The rooms are up to date and comfortable and clean. The staff is wonderful. The breakfast has an exceptionally large variety of food that would suit anyone, worldwide. Lastly, the lobby is beautiful! It makes you feel special to be there! Fantastic place to stay. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable and serviced daily. Beds were very comfortable. Great location for getting to Venice via public transport. Breakfast choices were excellent, catering for all needs.

The hotel is more upmarket than the surroundings it sits in. A very busy area with train station, bus station and tram station directly across the road. To some it could look intimidating. But its not like that at all. Everyone is just going about their own business. The hotel staff are nice and helpfull. Rooms are of a nice standard. The local YHA can be noisyuntil about 2am. The train is 10 mins to venice. Cheep but really good trains. Trams are easy to get to mestre centre. Theres a lovely square there. Dagusto hosteria was a favourite of ours. Steffano does the best cocktails. For food, pasta and pizza around the corner from the hotel does the best pasta. Their lasagna is made by the gods. Give the place a go. Its real life.

The staff are good and helpful, however the breakfast was not so great! and getting to the hotel is not a welcoming experience. It seems the rooms have been updated recently, so that is positive, but they didnt also upgrade the rest of the hotel common areas and lobby/entrance. The best thing about it is probably its location to the train and bus stations, very close! so good for a base if you plan to travel around the local area.

Beds were very comfortable, rooms and communal areas of the hotel were exceptionally clean, breakfast was great, and the staff were helpful and friendly. Great that the hotel is conveniently located to the bus stops and station, as well as the train station providing great and cheap transport links to and from Saint Lucia island. Definitely returning for a stay!

Stayed here before joining a cruise ship docked in Venice. However we had a day before joining so took the train into Venice, about a 10 minute ride and very cheap. The station is literally just outside the hotel. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast can be obtained for €5 and was buffet style with plenty of choice. We would come back if wanting to explore more of Venice. Reception staff are very helpful and speak good English.

Nice clean hotel conveniently located - close to the Mestre train station. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was nice and fresh. If you are looking for a place close to Venice without having to pay the steep price of a hotel in Venice - this is a good option. Venice is a short train ride away with frequent trains.

One can't ask for a better location if traveling to Venice. The hotel is across the street from the Mestre train station, yet our 2nd floor room was quite despite being so close. Check in, as well as check out, were performed quickly, and without hassle. The reception agent was courteous, informative, and delightful. We stayed several nights, however our electric key card didn't work. Another card was issued without questions being asked. The elevator is very small, so several trips might be needed if your party is large, or if you have numerous bags. Our room was adequate. Firm mattress, plenty of towels, toiletries, television, phone, coffee/tea maker. All the amenities one can expect or hope for. Leaving the hotel for breakfast isn't required. Their buffet style breakfast offers hot, and cold items. Juices, coffee, tea, bottled water, fruit, cakes, cheese, bread, pastries, croissants, jams, cereals, eggs, pancakes, waffles, ham, and more. Prices are reasonable.

Breakfast was fantastic, rooms were very clean, we had adjoining rooms with our two teenagers. Very convenient across the street from bus and train station. Some great restaurants were nearby within walking distance.

We stayed at a different hotel but walked here after having difficulty finding a cab at Mestre Station. I wanted to give a big thanks to Nicola who was extremely professional and helped my family to find a taxi at midnight. He was very friendly and made us feel comfortable even though we weren't guests that night. We would definitely consider this hotel in the future.

Outside of Venice but bus and train station across the street so it was easy to get around. Room was smaller than expected but adequate. Great breakfast buffet, cost was 20 dollars per person which was not what was listed on the booking site. Good Wi-fi but only two TV stations in English, both news stations.

Highly recommend Hotel Tritone,great staff,perfect location when visiting Venice as you are on the outskirts. So great for leaving the hustle & bustle of Venice,to chill at the hotel & surrounding area,bang near the bus station with an €38 for a bus ticket to the centre of Venice,where you can use the same ticket to catch a water bus around Venice. There are plenty of restaurants with great value within the hotel area,pizza restaurant 3 min walk - amazing!

A group of us stayed at this hotel on Monday night after missing our flight to Dublin due to heavy traffic on the motorway,the check-in was so stress free the staff were lovely and so helpful,we had a lovely twin room with all amenities supplied,air con was very good the breakfast was delicious,it's so convenient to get to Venice on the bus or tram just across the road from the hotel ,I would stay at this hotel if I was visiting Venice again

This hotel was recommended to us and overall it did not disappoint. Fantastic location as 200 yards from bus terminal from Marco Polo airport. Just across the road was the 10 minute train ride to Venice which costs €1.40. Hotel staff extremely friendly and hotel spotless despite its external appearance. Breakfast was very good. To temper all the positives there is no bar and hotel not in best neighbourhood. First night we came back from Venice and tried to find a restaurant in Mestre and not spoilt for choice. Thereafter we stayed in Venice for the day. I would definitely return

Right across the street from train station. Clean hotel, friendly staff, excellent included breakfast. One of the best I have had at a hotel. Would not recommend for longer than a 1 night stay as the bathrooms were very awkward. Mine had a narrow bathtub, when you closed the shower doors you were so tight, could hardly manoeuvre. Our friends bathroom, you had to sit sideways on the toilet as there was no room for your knees between toilet and shower.

I read extensively the reviews before coming to stay and some comments made me concerned, to the point that I started looking for a different accommodation, but how very lucky that I decided to stay with the BW Tritone. I booked my stay at this hotel to visit Venice - it was a birthday treat for my mum. I contacted the hotel ahead of our arrival to ask if they could arrange some specific birthday treats for our arrival as a surprise, and I was not left disappointed. My mum was made very happy. Communication with the hotel was excellent- they were very quick to respond to all emails, and were accommodating to all of our needs. First impressions - the hotel itself may not look like it's brand new, but don't judge the book by it's cover! Location for visiting Venice could not have been better. You can take either a bus or a train and in about 10 minutes you'll be in Venice. The bus stop and the train station is right in front of the hotel. I was slightly concerned about potential noise from the street but the room seemed to have soundproof windows, accompanied with a really comfortable bed, I had 4 nights of a very good sleep. I chose Contemporary rather than Classic room type. Pros: fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, soundproof windows (although I think I could hear neighbours next door on one occasion), blackout curtains, windows that can be opened, quiet room, very comfy bed, strong power shower, huge spacious shower area, USB and charging sockets right by your bed. Cons: Aircon system is controlled from reception, and I'm not sure whether it didn't work, or it was not switched on for us. We didn't miss it much although in hotter weather it could be an issue. Breakfast - good breakfast that is replenished constantly by very attentive staff. And the price is very reasonable. I can't sing enough praises for all staff - reception, housekeeping, maintenance. We had a small issue in our bar heron and this was fixed with the utmost urgency. My stay was absolutely nothing short of fantastic. It's the people who work there that made it so great. Special thanks to Daniele - the hotel manager. We would definitely return to this hotel!

We had a four night stay here, we picked this hotel because of its location - the proximity to the public transport links. Both the bus terminal and the train station were just across the road, where you can catch regular services to the airport and Venice island. The room was comfortable and clean, the bathroom was stocked with basic toiletries and plenty of towels, and the shower was decent. The beds were clean and comfortable enough, and the blackout curtains on the window were effective even in an East facing room. Reception staff and breakfast room staff were polite and helpful. The buffet breakfast had a nice selection - a wide range of sweet and savoury options, with a self service coffee machine but also a barista machine where the staff could make coffee also. On departure, we had to pay a €24 city tax. All in all, a great stay.

Don't go there!! It's a terrible hotel. Rooms are disgusting. Smelling bad. Poor neighborhood. We were 4 people and we decided to change hotel. It was the worst experience of our 3 weeks trip in Italy. We cannot understand how Best Western accept low standards as that hotel. We went to the Campanile hotel 5 minutes walk, and it was a perfect stay.

The hotel ist just opposite to the station and the bus stop. there is a parking next to the hotel. Room are clean, breakfast is very good and the service is excellent. I will go to this hotel any time we go to Venice

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights before going for a late Autumn cruise. The facilities in hotel are quite basic but clean and staff helpful and friendly . Breakfast was a buffet with plenty of choice . Hotel is handy for bus or train to Venice - we used the bus but were shocked at how many Italians will attempt to cram onto an already full bus causing quite an uncomfortable journey. Apart from that the bus does take you very close to waterbuses in Venice. The hotel can sell you tickets for buses. There is no restaurant in the hotel but there are a couple nearby and a MacDonalds in train station across the road. Not sure of the price as it came as part of a package but must be a lot less expensive compared to Venice itself. So happy to recommend.

We stayed in this hotel on our way to Rome and back. Rooms and bathrooms were good, you can adjust heating in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable. Mini fridge was useful. Breakfast was also good. We had some problems with showers in both rooms. In room 415 faucet handle couldn't stand on and water would stop flowing (we were too tired to report it) and in room 414 shower handset was too heavy for its stand and had to be held in hand (compensated with free parking for the inconvenience). The soundproofing could also be better, we could hear other guests, but in the end, we slept well.

Thanks God for that kind of staff. I travel around the world but i never met a staff so friendly and focused on the problems of tourists. The hotel, the breakfast were also the best! The juice and the biscuits from the reception were like a blessing every minute

I recently stayed at this hotel with my wife for one night to explore Venice. Upon arrival we were greeted enthusiastically by Riccardo and given an upgrade to room 119, which was clean, modern and functional, had a comfortable bed, great water pressure for the shower head and good quality wi-fi. In addition to the room upgrade we also received complimentary breakfast (courtesy of Best Western Diamond Select status) downstairs at the hotel's restaurant and were delighted with the choice of food and drinks provided. For those looking for food outside, there are cafes, fast-food, restaurant and shops within close proximity. The property's location in Mestre was also spectacular, providing easy access to Venice Marco Polo Airport (direct ATVO bus stop across the road, takes 20 min and costs 8 Euros per person), as well as easy access to Venice St. Lucia station (train departs from Mestre Station across the road every 15-20 min, the journey takes 10 min and costs 1.35 Euro per person one-way. For the budget-oriented travellers travelling around using Flixbus, the Venice Mestre Bus Stop was also across the road from the hotel. All in all, not only would we recommend the property, but would also book a future stay with our eyes closed, should we ever visit Venice again.

Excellent location, close to the Mestre train station. Very friendly and helpful staff - both in the reception as well as morning breakfast area. Nice room but the shower enclosure was a tad bit small. Breakfast was nice.

We spent two nights here pre-cruise and were delighted that we had chosen this hotel. It is a perfect location for visiting Venice. The frequent buses into Piazzale Roma from the road outside were very crowded but convenient. Our room was smallish but clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast at €4 was great value. Staff were helpful and we were able to purchase Vaporetto tickets at reception. We would definitely return if we visit Venice again

Nice Hotel clean room good breakfast. Staff were great fast check in. Great location just across the street from Mestre train station. Room was very clean and the bed was comfortable as well. Good shower with lots of water pressure. Free tea and coffee service in room. Great view from my room on the 7th floor and was lucky to have a terrace so that was a great plus. I will come again in the near future.

Excellent location right in front of railway station and 50 steps to the bus stop. Comfortable hotel with courteous staff, good variety in complimentary breakfast and wifi. Rooms were spacious enough (418) for the two of us. Breakfast starts early at 6:30 am (mid Oct) which is convenient for tourists to leave early for the sightseeing. I actually visited in September 2018, however due to travelling all over the world for the last 18 months, I am just in the process of writing all the reviews. We booked this hotel as part of a package city break holiday with Jet2 and it did not disappoint. The hotel is located a couple of minutes from the train station which is only 10-15 minutes from Venice Centre. Check in and check out were quick and easy. The wifi worked well throughout the hotel and the room was clean and comfortable – IT IS BEDBUG FREE. When we booked, we opted for room only as it was an extra £92pp to include breakfast on Jet2's website. However when we arrived, the receptionist asked if we wanted to add this onto our stay; it was only €4pp per day and it was definitely worth it! There was a wide range of hot and cold fresh food available which you could choose to eat inside or out. We had a fabulous stay and I would definitely recommend!

From start to finish we couldn't be more impressed with this hotel as a base for our visit to Venice. The hotel staff were absolutely brilliant. They gave great advice and were more than helpful and really made our experience that much better. Cannot recommend them enough. Definitely going again

We stayed at this hotel as part of our cruise deal The hotel Is very tired looking and not in a very nice location,really didn't feel safe at night. The room had stains on the carpet and the bathroom was very tired looking and needed updating. The AC was very poor and was regulated from downstairs in the reception. The Mestre railway and bus station was just across road and that's the only thing going for this hotel. There is a poor seating area in the reception and no bar. The only good thing about this hotel was the breakfast that was very good. The rooms are dark and outdated and I definitely would not stay at this hotel and area again. We only found one restaurant to eat next door and had to go to another hotel to sit in there bar. The area is very run down and not very nice for tourists,so give this one a miss.

We choose this hotel due to the fact that is near a long term parking. And there is even a direct acces to it. The train station right across the street. But even better the bus stop right in front of the hotel. Tip: you can buy bus tickets directly from the front desk. Pro: Nespresso machine in the room. For sure you will wake up fresh. Large room. Large XXL shower. Good bed. Clean. Quiet. Enjoy !

After 10 days of travel, this was a very relaxing and comfortable stay. Even tho we arrived hours before official checkin, we were provided a room shortly after arriving. Front desk staff was welcoming and friendly and the lobby area was clean and comfortable with cold juice, water and yummy Italian cookies.

The only good thing of this hotel is the excellent location just in front of the train station ... the train take you to Venice in 15 min ! Rooms are old and smell not that good ... next time I would look for closer hotels in better conditions ....

This hotel is right across from the train station in Mestre. Staff is courteous and pleasant. The room was spacious and very comfortable! Easy access to Venice center via public transportation and airport transportation right across the street.

I stayed in this Hotel 17th - 20th of Septmeber the Hotel is in a great location it has the Mestrea train Station across the road it alos has a bus stop to the left of the Hotel that you can get Bus to any of the Airports there are Cafe & restraunts shops beside the hotel I was happy with the service and room I got at this Hotel and would stay again as it is a great loctaion to explore Venice & Verona ,Lake Garda from by the train at your door step.

The rooms of this hotel are ok, the furniture though is quite dated, but the beds are large and comfy. It is well located, with the buses going into Venice a very short walk away. There is also a coach stop up the road with links to Venice airport. The morning buffet is excellent , at 4Euros per person. They will also allow you to leave your luggage when you check out, in case your flight is later in the day Overall a good place to stay , but the rooms are nothing like they are shown on the pictures

We stayed here at the end of a cruise and really appreciated the spacious room and funky decor, the bathroom is clean and has everything you need. Service staff are outstanding. Davide at reception was so helpful with directions about how to get around on public transport and even had tickets to purchase which saved us so much time. The hotel is right beside bus stops and the train station so if you're coming from a cruise catch a bus or train, Do NOT pay €35 for a taxi!! The €4 breakfast was fantastic. No negatives for this hotel, would definitely stay here again and Highly recommend.

Very convenient to Venice. Room are small but very comfortable bed. Breakfast was outstanding. Bus and train right across the street. Buy a 2 or 3 day bus pass to use here and on the water taxi in Venice Well worth the money for the pass. Very quiet !

The hotel is in a great location (directly opposite Mestre train station, and directly next to a bus terminal) and is very clean, comfortable and is run efficiently. The service was excellent; there were a number of different receptionists on duty over the course of our stay and every single staff member that we spoke with was very friendly, courteous, informative and helpful. From the excellent restaurant recommendations, to the advice on day-ticket travel to Venice - the service was second to none. Myself and my partner cannot speak Italian, so it felt amazing that the staff were able to make such a good effort to help us and make us feel welcome and at home (the staff also provided us with maps of the local area to help our navigation). The continental breakfast is vast, fresh and tasty - and only a few euro - *very* worth it (large variety of fruit, yoghurt, croissant, cakes, breads, sliced meat, eggs, bacon, sausages - all great). The room was clean and air conditioned, with a kettle provided and a variety of teas/coffees - also, importantly, there was a fridge large enough for several bottles of water/other beverages. The room also has a safe (which you can set your own code) to store passports, expensive electronics etc. if you are worried about their safety. Very clean bathroom (with shower only.. no bath, unfortunately) - but clean, with replenished towels and toiletries each day. Our particular room wasn't massive, but it was big enough for the two of us (double bed, wardrobe, desk/dresser, shoe rack, tv) - and realistically, the hotel is meant to be a base for the holiday - not to spend all your time in (although, given the temperature when we visited, it was certainly amazing to come back to with its great air conditioning). The reception staff were able to advise us about travel arrangements (bus and train) during our stay, and they were also able to arrange a taxi to the airport for us when we left (They offered a choice of a generic taxi, or a taxi company that they associate with which cost 50 euro - we were checking out at 5am so we paid the 50 euro just to ensure that everything went smoothly). All-in-all, we were both *very* happy with our stay, and we will definitely return next year. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Hotel close to train station and bus station ( just cross the road)10 minutes travel to Santa Lucia train station in Venice. Clean with friendly staff good choice at continental breakfast well worth it. Well sign posted. Lovely cafes and restaurants near by.

Very good location, only 1min from Mestre railway station which means you can easily reach Venice and get back to hotel really fast. Room comfortable and great, clean, bathroom very good and staff also very helpful and nice. Free drinks and biscuits at reception is also nice touch. Good restaurant is only 6 minutes away, La Tana di Oberix, very delicious food, fait maison, generous quantities and very affordable. It was good decision to lodge there! Including photos of room and bathroom, as well as delicious pasta meal at nearby restaurant La Tana di Oberix.

Hotel was great. Literally across the road from the train and bus station. Very clean and friendly staff. Breakfast is a must at 4 euros per person, it is great value for money! The train to Venice is a 10 minute train ride and was very cheap to get there. Roughly 1€ 30 each one way. We realised that when purchasing tickets, before you pay take a mental note of the train number, it helped with finding the platform. Trains are very prompt and where quite often a bit earlier than time stated. You have to stamp your own train ticket, these are the green machines dotted around the platforms. Mestre is also a lovely place when you get in the main square. It was about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Be sure to take some good shoes.. we walked 53 mile in 2 1/2 days! Burano is also a beautiful place to visit if you get chance. It is an hour boat ride because if stooping to drop off/pick up at the other islands. The water taxis (bit like hop on hop off buses) take you there. A 24 hour pass for boats and buses is 20€ each to be used as many times as you like. You can pay more for more days. We didn't do the museums because we ran out of time but that was 25€ each for all 4 museums. Overall, great hotel. Great location. Venice is beautiful and we will be returning.

This hotel us ideally situated for the railway station in Venice Metre. The staff were all amazingly helpful and pleasant.The public rooms downstairs are modern and well kept. The breakfast area could easily be a pleasant bar area with evening snacks. I feel the hotel is not maximizing this area. Arriving tired and late you do not necessarily want to wander out again for food and drink. The rooms and upstairs corridors need refurbishment. Our room was very clean.

The hotel is excellent for active travelers due to easy and diverse transportation to Venice and to Marco Polo Airport. The personnel is friendly and readily recommends what customers are looking for, In our case, it was a very nice La Michelle pizzeria near the hotel.

We chose this hotel because of its close proximity to Mestre station. This turned out to be a good choice. We were visiting Venice but this hotel was considerably cheaper than lower quality hotels in Venice it's self. There are trains every few minutes from Mestre station into Venice Santa Lucia station which is located on the Grand Canal and served by many water bus routes. The 12 minute journey time was not a hardship. From leaving the hotel you can be on the banks of the Grand Canal in 20 mins.

Best western Tritone hotel in Mestre made me satisfaction. Very close to Mestre station so that easy access to Venice within 15 minutes. Hotel is clean and comfortable. Bathroom was clean and Bath booth is big enough. English speaking receptionest was very helpful. He advised good restruant and helped parking cost saving, Everything is OK as compared with the hotel price. Onrthihg, breakfast space is short and menu is not various. I would visit again is possible. There are complemantary drinks and coffee in the room.

Stayed in Mestre at Best Western Tritone. Great location with bus stop and station close to hotel. Very clean and friendly hotel and I could not fault it. Approx 10 mins on train to St Lucia station in Venice . Trains run on regular basis so no hanging about. I would definitely stay here again. Venice is beautiful with so much to see and the food is fabulous. What a great experience.

We booked this hotel because of it's location and reviews but we were quite disappointed when we got our room. The room it self is old fashioned which is not a problem as we knew this before we got there, but the smell!! Our room smelled so much like smoke that I kept sneezing. We told the reception and they could not do anything for us the first night but changed our room the next day. However the new room smelled just as much as smoke as the other but at this point we were just so tired we didn't bother complaining. They did give us our breakfast for free in the end as a compensation but I would not recommend staying at this "4 star" hotel unless they fix the smell!!

Nice overall experience. The rooms are basic but functional and the breakfast buffet is good, and the smiling lady in the restaurant really made my day! No view of anything from the room but Mestre is not very scenic anyway.

We stayed for a night before we went to Rome Convenient location. Clean room, towels and comfortable bed. Great staff especially in the breakfast buffet. I wish they would have the bathtub drain serviced because it drains very slow

We stayed in a superior room for four nights. Clean room on the small side with comfortable beds. Nice touch with a minibar with a few free items. The breakfast was sufficient. Very friendly staff. The location is good for Venice 15 min by buss or train and also for visiting Padova and Verona. The area where the hotel is located is very ugly. Also dont plan to walk to dinner in Mestre other than on the same street as the hotel. The streets behind the hotel do not feel at all safe after dark. Our first night before we understood the situation we walked to the citycenter and had dinner there and had an unpleasant walk back to the hotel around 10pm. Gangs, hobos and other suspicious looking people around. Even though hotel is great I dont think we will come back due to the area. Center of Mestre is much prettier and feels safer.

First visit To Venice and we decided to stay at the Tritone Hotel as our choice of accommodation based on previous reviews and it didn't disappoint. The staff were great from the desk to both the girls dealing with breakfast, which I would highly recommend for 4 euros. The room was modern albeit snug and lacking some drawer space for your smaller clothing items. Transfers into Venice were simple either by bus or train which are both directly across the road. If you want to venture further afield either to Verona or Lake Garda ideally placed for the train.

We stayed here recently and the place is GREAT and very convenient to the train station that takes you into Venice, i.e. like 100 meters and right across the street. The place is immaculate, well kept and you can tell the staff have pride in what they do to help the customers. We would recommend this place to anyone, our two night stay was great. Breakfast is very good and right down the street is a restaurant called La Tana Di Oberix that is one of the best meals I have ever had, two nights in a row. Well worth the money and a perfect place to base out of.

Just returned today from a 4 night stay at this hotel. Right from the check in to the checkout it was a very enjoyable experience . Situated abut 12 mins from Venice piazale roma . We were advised by hotel staff to use the bus and water bus so we purchased a72 hour ticket at 40 euro each ,, it was a great choice . We were in a deluxe room which was very nice ,, we had breakfast at 4 euros each ! This was a great choice plenty of choice and very friendly staff ,, would definitely use this hotel again ,, grey helpful staff and good location for travelling into Venice ,,

Quality hotel in front Mestre train station check in was fast room clean as usual breakfast buffet are fantastic as can see from photos . I tried others hotels as Plaza and Best Western Bologna they can't competed Tritone are the Best quality hotel staffs professional breakfast amazing.

Booked as a pre-cruise hotel for 2 nights, the hotel is very convenient for Venice by a 10 minute bus journey from just across the road for 4 euros return. Reception staff were friendly and helpful and recommended a reasonably priced restaurant for evening meals as the hotel does not have one. A good value buffet breakfast is available with a large selection at 4 euros. The room was clean but rather old fashioned with tea and coffee making facilities, safe, fridge and a large but hard bed. Bathroom was modern with good shower and nice toiletries. We would be happy to stay there again.

we booked this hotel for four nights from the sunday to thursday.we booked a deluxe room which was compact although comfortable enough.we also had the breakfast each morning at the cost of four euros each which was more than ample.the hotel is across the road from the railway station to the right and if your at the bus terminal at mestre cross over the road and its just past the parking lot.the staff were very good and the cleaning was good also in the deluxe room there is a fridge with water and a couple of cans of soft drinks and nuts and biscuits which did get replenished.you can buy the water boat passes at the desk same price everywhere for 40 euros each 3 days 30 2 days and 20 1 day .we found the best way to get to venice was the train 10 minutes 2euros 70 same day return each.you can also take the number two bus across the road euro 1.50 each way per person although lucky if you get a seat.the hotel doesnt have a bar facility or evening meals option,the only slight negatives was the youth hostel behind can be noisy in the evening and there is no storage draws for your clothes just hangers .if we came to venice we would consider this hotel again

Stayed 1 night pre cruise, fantastic location, directly across the streeet to train station, 15 mins to Marco Polo Airport and 15 mins to Cruise port. Got train into Venice - 10-15mins and only €1.30 each way. Lovely breakfast and terrace. Staff very helpful and friendly , we arrived very early and they got our room ready in 15 mins. Highly recommended.

I booked a last minute trip to Venice. Of course, most accommodation was fully booked, & what was left was expensive based in Venice. However, I located Best Western Tritone, & immediately booked, due to its location (opposite the train station), & easy access to catch the ACTV bus to/from Marco Polo Airport (location point, across the road, next to train station). Check in is suppose to be at 2pm but because my plane arrived early, I was allowed to check in early which was great as I could dump my belongings, & head to Venice to start my exploring. I ended up with a Queen (classic) room, which for a single solo traveller was more than enough. It was clean, tidy, & very spacious, which was good. The room has the usual amenities, ie tea/coffee facilities, fridge, wardrobe, safe. Bathroom has hairdryer, lots of towels, which is great. I was located on floor 2; room 214, which overlooked a multi storey car park. For some, this may be annoying, but it didn't bother me. I did, however open my window on the Sunday morning, & listened to the church bells ring out for Sunday service, which was beautiful to relax to, & unwind before heading into Venice. Staff, incredibly helpful & friendly. The room did not have an iron & ironing board. However, I requested such facilities from Reception, & within 20 mins, room service attended with the requested items. My room did not have breakfast, however there is an option to add breakfast at €4 a day, which is an absolute bargain. Lots to choose from, & plenty for all guests. Food was constantly replenished. Check out, again very smooth process. Very friendly staff, who wished me well for my travels. I did, however have to pay city tax, which was €3 a day. And this has to be paid in cash, so be mindful to save some money at the end of your trip! Overall, I had a wonderful time. As a female solo traveller, I felt very safe and welcomed by staff at the hotel. Definitely a big thumbs up from me. And most definitely I will be returning in the near future. PS: catching the train to/from Venice daily cost €2.35 a day (May 2019), which is an absolute bargain! And the journey only takes 5-10mins, which again is barely anything.

An excellent hotel with a very helpful staff. One could not ask for a more centrally located hotel in Mestre. It is located literally across the Mestre Railway Station and therefore one does not need to take a transfer after arriving by train. Even the transfer from the Marco Polo airport by public transport brings you to a bus stop 100 yards away. The rooms are tastefully done as is the overall decor. The breakfast is good with a reasonably lavish spread. Eggs to order though are not available. The restaurant for breakfast is not too big but our group managed. There are enough restaurants in the vicinity as also a MacDonald at the Station. There is also an Indian takeaway next doors. Plan to stay there again with our next group in Oct

This hotel is ideally suited for anybody wanting to see Venice at a premium price with great access to the adjacent train station; and a bus rigjht out front that takes you into Venice. I wanted to acknowledge Matteo, who was incredibly helpful by providing us with train schedules for our next trip to Genoa. He took a lot of time and effort to make it easier for us, and his knowledge of English was very helpful.

I absolutely loved the location of this hotel, as soon as you exit the Mestre train station you see signs directing you to the hotel and its about a 2 minute walk easy with suitcases. We were in the standard room and it was getting a bit dated, scuff marks on the walls etc, but it was clean other then the wear and tear. The staff were amazing, rooms were quite and spacious. Its incredibly easy to get the train into Venice, great restaurant just around the Corner Moro's, excellent food!

Nice smart hotel . Great location , helpful front office staff , well equipped large room . We stayed for one night only - however the stay was very comfortable . Hope to come back again and stay longer

Ideally situated for a visit to the sights of Venice. Helpful and friendly staff always willing to assist where possible. Clean and comfortable accommodation with a value for money buffet breakfast. Would recommend and stay here again

Stayed in the newly renovated Deluxe room. It was an average stay, but probably wouldn't stay there again. Hot water in the shower would only last a couple of min and then turn cold. This would happen every time we would shower. Amenities such as the shampoo was very nice though. Room was clean, but very small and limited light. Breakfast was basic but did the job. Rooms are ALOT smaller than what the pictures appear to show.

The Hotel Tritone staff team, facilities, cleanliness, breakfast and location (8 minutes by train-station across the road 1 Euro or busy bus) are exceptional. Hotel sells 2 day bus, train, water bus passes that are very good value. We also travelled to beautiful Muranno and Burrano using the tickets. We traversed the Grand Canal many times on the hop on/off Vaporretti (water bus) and saw the wonderful sights of Venice. Dodges Palace was fantastic (very quiet at 7.30pm) the museums, Galleries and Churches are stunning too. Went wandering around back streets 'real Venice'...got lost but easy to get back to St.Mark's Square. Take a good camera, read up a little-Venice is truly beautiful!

Hotel was clean with friendly & helpful staff. Close to the train station for easy access going to or from. Breakfast was good and well appointed. We had no complaints. Would definitely stay her again.

We stayed here for four nights when visiting Venice. The location of the hotel is perfect - literally across the road from Mestre railway station (10 mins into Venice Santa Lucia by train) and also right next to the ATVO bus stop which goes to/from the airport. You can also get the bus into Venice (bus stop is right across the street but we preferred the train as it was a lot quieter!). The hotel sells the bus/vaporetti passes at the front desk. One day we also ventured into Verona by train as the train goes through Mestre. The hotel was lovely and clean and our room was really modern. We booked a deluxe room rather than the standard and we're glad we did as the standard rooms looked a bit dated from the pictures. The room had clearly been recently refurbished and the bathroom was lovely too. It was also really quiet considering how close the hotel is to the train station. We had breakfast at the hotel too as it was only 4 euros per person, per day. It did get quite busy (presumably because everyone has it given the price) but the selection was great. Would definitely stay again if we go back to Venice.

Hotel has professional ,helpful ,pleasant receptionists. You can buy travel ticket for transport into Venice from reception. Rooms comfortable and cleaned daily. Good buffet breakfast. Great location for bus into Venice , it's just outside and takes about 10 minutes. Bus from airport stops at terminus 5 minutes away. Plenty of restuarants nearby ,recommend restuarant Dante, just around the corner. We stayed 5 days and ate in different restuarants in Mestrie at night , after sightseeing and lunch in Venice. Would definately recommend this hotel .

Great location near bus and train station. Wonderful front desk staff. Coffee machine and water in lobby was awesome. Grazi Ricardo! Buffet breakfast for only 4 euros was a super bargain. Will definitely return if I ever get the chance to visit Venice again.

Massimo was very friendly and efficient in checking in 33 guests at 2 am..The hotel rooms were very clean.I heard they were just newly renovated last 2018.The staff are very helpful in accommodating us...the food tastes good especially the pastries...Thank you Phil ( person in charge of our breakfast )

Room was comfortable and hotel was within easy reach of transport links to the centre of Venice and the airport. However, I had to complain twice about guests in the room next door - who were clearly having some kind of party into the small hours of the night - and nothing was done about it. Secondly, we had no hot water two days running. When we mentioned this to the receptionist they stated "yes, it has been fixed" both times. It would have been nice if they communicated this to us or moved us to a room that had sufficient hot water. Otherwise a pleasant stay and would recommend.

We spent one night at Hotel Tritone. Easy to park, super efficient check in and good rooms. The showers are really great; and the ease of getting interconnecting rooms made it a perfect family choice. Right by mestre station yet quiet. Breakfast for E4 per person is ridiculously good value and it was a pretty decent spread. Definitely recommended.

Very well located next to the train station. Good sized clean rooms and helpful staff. Value for money. Good eating options around. It is not a luxury hotel with a small lobby but you get what you pay for. No issues really.

The hotel is located just across the street from the train station , parking is close by but it is paid parking ,we stayed in a superior room and it was nice and functional. Staff was very nice and helpful.

I had stay in this hotel 3 days with my boyfriend for our anniversary. We went there for obviously visit Venice and the Biennale. The room was very clean and tidy. They renovated the rooms with a post industrial style which clash with the rest of the hotel but it make the room comfortable and modern. Is very close to the train station and it make really easy to get to venice in a very short time. The service was super and the manager also had treat us with a prosecco bottle for the anniversary occasion.

Room was spotlessly clean and we received a free upgrade. Free drinks and snacks in the fridge. Brilliant location for visiting Venice - across the street from the train station, and trains only cost 1.35 Euro, and took 15 mins. We also visited Padua, which was 20 mins away. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast had good selection of fruit, cereals, cold cuts and hot food. Only slight downside is that their coffee wasn't so nice, they could use better beans... but I am a coffee snob!

Flew to Venice. Assumed we would have to take a cab to hotel. Nope. The local bus took us literally across the street from the hotel. So much cheaper. Had connecting room with our kids. Clean, spacious, comfortable. Great breakfast. Caught bus across street into Venice. Dropped us off right at the water buses. So convenient. Cheaper and easier than staying in Venice proper.

I was almost going to give this hotel 1 star, but they sort of redeemed themselves. The room was way too hot. The thermostat didn't work. I called the front desk and all they could do was turn off the heat. But there was still hot air blowing out of the vent. They didn't believe me and refused to send someone to check it. Finally after about five calls to the front desk they offered to change my room. It was close to midnight so I waited until the next day. The new room was still too warm but not as bad as the first one. Anyway they comped my breakfast for the stay. I couldn't really recommend this place. It is conveniently located next to the train station, but there is not much in the area as far as restaurants go. The breakfast bar was good.

Great hotel. Centrally located with bus stop just in front of hotel and Maistre train Station 2minutes away. Clean with friendly staff and good breakfast. Loved our stay. 15 minutes away from Venice. I would totally recommend this hotel.

We were 3 senior couples stayed for 1 night on 02/11/2018. Hotel is very conveniently located with access to the train and bus station just across the hotel. Person at the reception was very helpful in advising and guiding us to visit the places of interest during the evening and morning time as we had to embark on a cruise. Rooms were very clean with all necessary items to make our stay very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was adequate for our needs. Hotel is a value for money.

The hotel is nice. The reason for my low rating is the hotel turned off air conditioning as it's winter and even though it was cold outside the room temperature was very high it would have been great if they had he air conditioner on. The location is perfect just opposite the Mestre railway station as well as the bus stop. The breakfast is €4 and even though there is not much hot food it's worth the money.

Excellent hotel with easy connections to Venice all facilities provided plus the added FREE yes FREE croissants available with hot drinks machine at the night reception I have never before received this service ideal when returning, in the evening, from Venice. My wife and I had a very enjoyable 2 nights stay and we did not hear any noises in our room

This hotel was the last leg of our holiday after a cruise and 3 day stay in Lake Garda. It is clean and comfortable, the staff are very friendly and helpful. There is no restaurant, just a breakfast room which served a variety of the usual breakfast choices. The only hot food was bacon, tiny hot dog sausages and scrambled egg, which was all hot. No complaints at all about breakfast! We thought there were tea/coffee facilities in the room but there wasn't. However we did ask and a kettle was brought to our room which was nice. Apparently there are not enough kettles for every room so you just have to ask! The train station is right across the road as are bus stops all going to central Venice, so perfect location. I would recommend this hotel for a couple of nights as a base for exploring Venice.

Service - Service staffs are friendly both at the reception and breakfast room. Patient in guiding you the places you wanted to go. Rooms - Clean, cosy and comfortable. So are the en suite. Breakfast - Very good spread to start your day. Others - There's a lift to all rooms, so big luggage is not a problem. Car park for a fee. Few restaurants just outside the hotel. There's also a bus transfer to the airport just across the road.

The hotel is located right by the Mestre station next to the Plaza Hotel and is super convenient for a quick train ride to St. Lucia Station to get to the main Venice attractions. The check in was easy, the staff was nice and knowledgable, the room was so cute and nice, they give free hot chocolates, cappuccinos, water, pastries and there is a printer station. There is no gym, so I could note give this hotel a 5th star. There is an iron, but you need to ask the front desk for it. The price is way better than anything else, and totally worth it.

The hotel location is superb jst a few step away from Mestre station, the room is quite out date but it`s okey, room is clean and bathroom also clean, the breakfast is good but a bit tiny space however we totally enjoy our stayed.

Hotel is really well situated in Mestre close to the train and bus station. Train takes only 10 minutes to reach Venice. Staff in hotel were all very friendly and helpful and breakfast at 4€ was really good value. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it.

We stayed here because we were going to be frequently on and off of the train going to Venice St. Lucia as well as to Verona, Vicnenza, etc. It worked perfectly for what we needed. There are two Best Westerns near the train station and this is not the most obvious one. When you come out of the station it is on your right about 1 block and down the side of the building. The room was immaculate and the breakfast was much more than you usually are offered.

We were booked into this hotel by our travel agent for one night following a cruise. The staff are really helpful but the location isn't great for travelling to the attractions of Venice and there is only a small outside seating area. Room was fine and very clean. Lovely breakfast but that's the only meal they serve.

Could not recommend this hotel enough! Modern and beautifully decorated rooms, very clean and tidy. Plenty of towels and the bed was so comfy. Reception staff were very helpful and it's in a great location being 1 minute away from the train station if that. It costs €1.30 each to get to Venice and is a 10 minute train ride, very easy to get around and a much better price than hotels located in Venice. Nice plus was that there are pastries in reception for guests to take throughout the day. Will definitely stay here again when I return!

Just returned from a Jet2 holiday to this hotel. Firstly, a word of advice. If you take the Breakfast option Jet2 charge you £85 upfront (2 people x 3 days). I emailed the hotel first and was told Breakfast was 8 Euros per day (2 people). When I arrived at the hotel this was confirmed, so I paid c£22 for 2 people when I left, a useful saving! The breakfast was very good. Mainly continental, but some hot food and lots of food and drink choices. This hotel is in Mestre. The bus stop to Venice Island is across the road and it takes 15/20 minutes, costing 1.50 Euro each way. Save time and buy tickets at the hotel (no premium). Return bus stop drops you outside the hotel. Didn't bother with the train. Hotel staff spoke excellent English and reception staff were very polite and helpful. Complimentary coffee and croissants in Reception all day, every day – a nice touch. Room was cleaned every day and towels replaced and we even had a change of sheets once in our 3 days. No room tea and coffee making facilities in our standard room, but ask at Reception and they bring you a tray with kettle/coffees/milks for no charge (see welcome book in room). 2 lifts. Another tip is to book the Airport coach before you go. It drops off and picks up 100 yards from the hotel and the timetable suggested very 12/15 minutes. We certainly had no issues picking it up at the Airport, or on the return. Used Expedia, but other options are around. Saves fighting to use the ticket machine at the airport and you get a small discount. Lots of Hotel choice in Mestre, but this one worked extremely well for us. I would recommend if you want a good and reasonably priced hotel outside of Venice Island.

The hotel is a great location, if you prefer not to travel with all your luggage inside the Venice island itself this is probably on of the best hotels you can get for a decent price. You just have to get out of the hotel, cross the street and you have a bus that takes you to the Venice island. The hotel itself is nice, clean, welcoming staff and a decent breakfast, nothing too fancy.

The location of Hotel Tritone is perfect, especially for a solo traveler. The hotel is close to the train station. Good location to use as a base to make day trips to different sites. Wonderful staff that were all very friendly and helpful.

We were at the tail end of a cruise & just needed a room for one night. The location of this hotel cannot be beat as it across the street from the train station and also the ATVO bus stop to take you back to the airport. The rooms were very clean, the staff very friendly and will bend over backwards to help you with bus/train etc tickets that you may need. The internet was blazing fast and they even have ipads in the lobby for general use. I would stay here every time when visiting Venice.

The hotel is located just across the Venice Mestre station. Room is of good size and clean. Have free coffee, tea, hot water and snacks at lobby. The breakfast is 4 euro only but good range of food and drinks.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel when visiting Italy. We were just in Venice for a day before driving north to Udine, so we did not want to stay on the island. This hotel is so convenient to the train station, the rooms are nice, the staff is helpful and the breakfast was great!

Stayed here for a couple of nights before taking a cruise. I can't fault it really, It was a little noisy on the Saturday night due to a bar having live music until midnight next door. The room was very clean and had a double and two single beds, the bathroom very clean and no reason to avoid using it (No plug for the bath though). The breakfast provided a good start for the day and was only €4pp. Would definately stay there again if visiting venice - Be prepared to stand on the bus though - If you buy an ACTV pass it covers bus and boats, but not the train. The tram from Venice does not go directly to the station opposite the hotel.

The Tritone best western in Mestre was the ideal location for exploring Veniice and its surrounding towns.We stayed for 6 nights and that was enough to see all of Venice and some of the nearby towns. The bus stop for Venice and mestre train station is just across the street. About a a 10 -15 minute bus ride into Venice. You can also buy your bus tickets and day passes from the front desk. A two day transportation pass was all we needed. First thing we did is get on the number 2 public transportation ferry that then took us down the main canel all the way to the island of lido. We then worked our way back. Try to sit in the open area in the back. If you get on the ferry at the parking lot you have a better chance of sitting outside as this is the first stop. A great restaurant recommendation is Nino's, on the opposite side of the main canel and directly across from the train station in Venice. Nice sitting right on the canel watching all the boats coming and going. Food was Google and also reasonably priced.

Met all the needs for a break in Venice, good transport links, good value, excellent staff, clean and friendly, local eating options varied, breakfast well worth the €4 . Easy access from the airport via coach and a 100m walk from the rail/coach station

This hotel is good value and a great base for a visit to Venice only 15 mins by bus to the city centre 1.50€.Breakfast great value too only 4 € pp.We were on the 6th floor very quiet at night we would definately stop again

Hotel right near the station with excellent possibilities to visit Venice. Staff were helpful and friendly, especially Marika at reception who was really wonderful. Very good breakfast was served..basically there was little (if anything) to complain about this hotel.

Very clean, modern and spacious hotel, well situated for a quick bus ride (No 2), into Venice centre (2.50 euros return). Located opposite the Venice Mestre railway station (50 yards away) so the area is a little industrial, but well lit and plenty of people about. Plenty of bars/cafes for an evening meal/drink nearby. Hotel bar only open at weekends. Staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable about the area.

We had a fantastic stay at the Tritone hotel in Mestre close to the local transport restaurants and amenities we bought a week yravel card which inclufed the Buses and water buses in Venice gteat value for money €60.00 pp .

This hotel is across from the train station which provides easy access but it's not marked well. Staff is friendly. Rooms are small but comfortable. There are no available English TV stations, ie CNN, and most that were available had bad reception. Room was fairly quiet and beds slept well. They have a nice breakfast which is a huge plus. It's a good deal but average stay.

Across the street from the bus terminal and Venice-Mestre train station. Local markets and eateries within walking distance along Piave St. Great staff who were very helpful and courteous. Hotel shuttle and decent breakfast. No view from hotel windows for those who like that sort of thing. Also tiny elevator (2 people with luggage max), but we never had trouble using it or any unreasonable wait times. Stairs worked great for us!

Great hotel, great location, great staff and excellent breakfast.Room was clean.Everything was exquisite.They let us in to the room earlier.There is a coffee machine in the room.We also got one pair of slippers for free.

The train station is across the road. We where traveling every morning to Venice, spending the whole day over there, and coming back at the evening. The room was big and well equipped. Breakfast was pretty good. Dinner it's also good and cheap option, but if you want, you can always go outside to eat something else.

We've spent couple of nights in this lovely, friendly, clean to high standard hotel. It is 20min away bus ride from the Venice centre, so quick and easy to get there, but nice to leave it the busyness and come back to this quiet, chilled place. Staff very helpful and friendly always happy to help. Highly recommend staying here.

The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful, the breakfast was delicious and cheap (4 euro per person) with lots of things to choose from. The room was clean and comfortable, although a little small, and there was some dark stuff behind the door which looked like mold. The wifi was fast and easy to connect to. The location is amazing, across the street from the main train station and bus stop to Venice, on the return the bus drops you off literally in front of the hotel, and there's a supermarket around the corner. All around fantastic hotel.

Used this Hotel as our base for visiting Venice proper. Loved the Hotel and the staff were exceptional. A great breakfast always helps start the day off on a positive foot and this one is one of the best. The staff were friendly and always ready for a chat. The bus to venice is right outside the door and when you get back from your day on the water buses a little restaurant called the Enjoy Cafeteria (alongside the bus stop) is just the spot to cool down with a cold beer or iced tea.
