The location was Great ! I FELT SAFE when I was in the HALLWAYS and The PARKING LOT. The rooms were CLEAN. NO BUGS . Outside of our room in the hallway there was this metal plate it was folded easily to be tripped on this thank God I did not trip. The breakfast was okay the sausage could have been cooked a little longer I decided to have the oatmeal the apple juice tasted like tap water. So I decided not to have the coffee because who likes tap water. The eggs did not look the best. The chocolate muffin was good. The pool and hot tub area look nice from afar the water in the hot tub to me was dirty. There were too many people to experience the pool but the pool was HEATED. Did not care for the hidden fees. $100 for the deposit for the room also if there were extra additional nights it was $100 every night which the woman behind the counter did explain that if there was nothing that you did wrong with the room that it would go back to your card 3 to 5 UP TO 15 business days depending on the bank. But yet though they were so quick to pull that $100 off the card. The location of the hotel was in a good area for shopping a lot of restaurants walking distance also the Walmart was 4 minutes away (driving) . gas station was not very far not at all . No pets were allowed . The tub backed up when we were in the shower we made a comment to the person at the desk and they said oh we will get maintenance on it we felt like maintenance should already take care of it before we checked in or they should have given us a different room with a working tub because no one likes to be standing in dirty water when you're trying to get clean.
This is a great hotel located right off of 71. Great location and better then average pool. The only complaint is the blanket $100 incidental policy for everyone . Its hate to pay for room out of bank and have an extra $100 held out 3-5 business days. I think elite members and regular customers that authorization should be waived
We stayed at the Best Western Mason Inn for two nights while attending the Cincinnati Open tennis tournament. The stay was comfortable, quiet, and hassle-free. The room and public areas were clean and in good repair. The breakfast area attendant kept things clean and well-stocked. Check-in and -out were hassle-free. Parking was free and there seemed to be enough room for all guests. Wi-fi internet was adequate for our needs. The location is convenient to the tennis center and King's Island.
Check in and out was easy, and they had nice staff. Room was small and the phone outlets, mini fridge, tv, and clock were all not working. However, they sent up maintenance to fix all issues. Pool was small but not too cold, and the hot tub was nice. Breakfast was ok and comparable to other hotels, but my husband wished they had biscuits and gravy. I still have not received my $100 deposit back that was added on top of the regular charges, but it's only been a few days so I'll keep watching for this. The beds were comfortable, and I liked being close to interstate and King's Island.
If I could give this hotel less than one star I would. Terrible customer service, paper thin walls, it was like the people next door were in the same room with us. Way over prices for the condition of the tiny rooms. You're better off staying literally anywhere else.
Very disappointed. Location was great. Hair dryer and A/C filter was filthy. Dead bugs in lamp. Little ants kept showing up. Front desk not friendly. Breakfast was ok. Lighting and available working plugs were not good in our room. We were traveling through and we survived a night. Would not stay a second night. Very disappointed.
Hotel is being refurbished very nicely. Breakfast was good with many options. We picked this motel because it had good reviews for being clean and it was very clean. Staff also very nice. The location was close to many restaurants and grocery.
I really enjoyed my stay at this location. The staff was nice and friendly. The hotel was clean and very convenient. The breakfast was basic but convenient to have and satisfying. I always appreciate a bath tub to relax during my stay
Great hotel for business and family stays. My daughters love the pool and hot tub. Close to Kings Island and lots of restaurants near by too. Clean and well managed.
I didn't see but one housekeeper the entire time. I'm assuming she was the only one, unless you count the young man that I saw possibly helping her. I wanted a shower as soon as we got there and before stepping in I noticed 2 long black hairs stuck to the shower wall. The cleanliness of the sheets was suspect. The iron was missing parts. Without exaggeration, every single time we used the key card, we had issues of it working. It seemed that they would work once, we would get them re-keyed, and they would work one time before needing re-keyed again. By working I mean that after trying it at least 3-5 times, it would unlock the door. That was probably what was the most aggravating part of our stay. I couldn't even tell you how many times we got them re-keyed. Every evening when we walked passed the front desk and went to the elevator, there was a strong sewage smell in the hallway. This smell is the reason we did not use the pool area, which ran beside that same hallway. The staff was very nice and helpful except for the manager. He has problems with the listening aspect that is required when working out issues. I will not be staying at any regular Best Western ever again and neither will my cousin. We joked that in the future we may stay at a Best Western Plus because the Plus is for cleanliness…maybe. It's obvious now to me that I have been neglecting my Hilton Honors reward program for too long.
After adjusting my reservation from 3 nights to 1 night, prior to check in, I was still charged for 3 and refused a refund. I spoke to two staff members and the manager. I called the corporate office and sent emails. I was basically told that I chose the wrong booking option and the one I chose did not offer a refund no matter what. Overall the hotel was unclean. The pool and hot tub was dirty and the water was green. Terrible place to stay and even worse customer service. NEVER AGAIN
This place is dated and full of bed bugs. They also make you pay a deposit and then hold it for over 30 days before they Will release it. Avoid this hotel. All the other hotels in mason are better and don't steal security deposits for 30 days to make money off interest like this hotel.
We have stayed here before and it is adequate for the price. The breakfast is decent. The bed was comfortable.
The hotel was over all OK. They had paining work going on and no one working. There were no snacks available, the plugs on the tables did not work. The beds were nice. TV worked. Bathroom was clean, but no shampoo and now where to get any. The young lady at the desk not helpful. Breakfast was ok what I expected.
one of the quietest clean rooms we ever stayed in. Great location to nearby food establishments & no noise on ground floor
Let's start with the positives. The hotel was in a great location that gave me multiple options to observe the eclipse the next day (even though this strategic information is of unlikely useful to anyone for the next centuries). The check-in was quick and uneventful. I asked for a room away from the highway and the clerk promptly changed my room assignment. The smell of fresh paint was everywhere, which means they are trying to keep the hotel nice. The room was very basic, but clean. The bed was clean and comfortable. We had a good breakfast in the morning and we were ready to check whether the planets aligned as planned. This would typically be a solid 4 star experience. The general noise in the area is the reason why I knocked one point off. It was not clear what was happening at night; the best way I can describe it is industrial noise. My daughter slept really well, but I kept waking up wondering whether the noise will go away at any point. It is likely that the hotel management and staff don't have control over an issue that clearly affects some of the guests.
The ad says they speak English at this hotel. I called hotel prior to booking to verify location. I asked if hotel was off of route 70 and she responded "You want 7 rooms." I reinforced highway 70, interstate 70 and she said yes it was. I was erroneously told it was off of route 70 - it was not. I booked hotel and after putting into GPS I found it was off route 71 -- 1 1/2 hours south of where we were heading. I immediately called hotel back to cancel reservation which they refused to do. I spoke with manager later he told me it was my fault and I can't expect his employees to know the location of the hotel and directions. We were not given a refund. This is the USA, I would hope when talking to the reception of a given hotel they would know the location and understand English.
I enjoyed my stay. Hotel is very clean and has everything you would need to make the stay at this location pleasant. The indoor pool is great when the weather is colder so that my stay still felt relaxing and enjoyable
I was very pleased with the overall service and the room was clean. We used the pool and hot tub which was wonderful. Breakfast was fine. We will definitely be staying here again when we are in the area.
This hotel is very neat, close to most of the stores and highway. It is a deal with what we paid. They do have hot pool and fresh breakfast. Breakfast is OK, i wish they have more fruits and hot oat meals for a cold winter days. Room is little outdated, but the hotel service is great. Overall we enjoy to stay here. I will come back if i travel to Mason area again.
The staff were friendly, rooms clean, breakfast was always hot and fresh, pool and spa were open and clean hotel staff was very professional and friendly and answered any questions we had and house keepers were exceptional
This hotel is a good value for the cost of the stay. The pool and spa were very nice and the hot breakfast was average.. the hotel was very clean and so were the rooms . The service was very good. Everyone from the front desk clerks to the housekeepers were exceptionally helpful..
The bed was so hard, we both woke up in pain. I talked to the manager, who said I was lying as no one else complained, and who ended up yelling at me. It was a terrible experience, which we will not repeat.
This is the second time we have stayed at this Best Western and again it did not disappoint. Although staff could be friendlier they are efficient. The room was excellent and mattress very nice for a good night sleep. Our room was nice and quiet. The pool seemed nice because lots of people were enjoying it. Breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast with eggs, sausage, waffle maker, yogurt and assortment of pastries. They also had assortment of juices and teas which was nice.
Despite previous negative reviews this property was clean, well managed and safe. Did not experience any problems with the hotel. Not sure why I have to type 200 characters as a minimum review when I only have this much to say.
My boyfriend and I as well as my granddaughter stayed there this past saturday. It was clean, comfortable beds, clean room, nice pool and jacuzzi and I will definetly stay there again in the future. The staff was very very nice and eager to help anyway possible.
This is the only hotel I have ever stayed in that didn't have automatic doors at the front. Not only were there no automatic doors but the doors were narrow. Just barely wide enough to fit the luggage carrier through the door. The smallest bathroom on our trip. The layout with the sink outside of the bathroom was not convenient. Our room didn't have any place, other than the floor, to place our luggage. Also, the air conditioner sounded like a washing machine; it was difficult to sleep. This was one of the worst hotel experiences ever!
when we got to the room we were assigned to it was not made up from the guest the night before so they gave us another room but the sink was broke, i told 2 different men at the front desk an it was still broke, We had to stay there 4 days because it was pre-paid was pre paid. Our room was filthy, carpet was awful some of the others complained about there rooms also. Our bed was never changed in the 4 days we stayed. Hope i never have to stay there again!!
We had a great experience! The hotel was about 10 minutes away from Kings Island which was great for us. Every employee we encountered was very friendly. Pradeep checked us in (with the help of someone he was training) and he exuded warmth and kindness! The employee at breakfast made sure to double check with us that we didn't need anything else before he started cleaning up. It's little things like that that make a hotel memorable and make you want to come back. Also the beds were super comfy!!
We stayed here because our family was living nearby so we met at the hotel. staff were very friendly letting us use the breakfast area to play games and just enjoy our short time together. They even offered to take our picture. They had a wonderful evening thanks to the staff.
This hotel was very clean. The room was small (Queen Size) but OK for my needs. They served breakfast, but I needed to go on Saturday early so I couldn't stay for it. (left 6AM. They start on Sat. at 7AM.
We stay here every year as our stop over hotel. Service is always amazing, clean, safe, well lit at night and right off the interstate. Breakfast offerings are just what we need to grab a good bite and get back on the road.
The Mason BW was a great hotel to stay at. The staff was exceptional and the rooms were very nice and updated. The mattress was so comfortable! The hotel was clean and the hot breakfast was delicious and a server was on site.
We stayed 4 nights last week and it was a horrible experience. We have stayed here in the past with no issue. We checked in Wednesday at 10:30 pm. We had driven over 6 hours and my daughter had a medical appointment in the morning. We checked into the room and went right to bed. We woke up in the morning and went to have breakfast. The eggs were out, it was 8:30, and the milk was out. Another guest said the juice was not working. The orange juice was orange water and kiwi strawberry sprayed everywhere. I tried them both anyway. He was right. I told the staff. Staff said the orange was fine, the kiwi must be empty, and told me to use the cranberry. We do not drink cranberry. He did refill the milk. I am not sure about the juice as we did not wait to find out due to medical appt. We got back to the hotel late. It was after 11 PM. We again went straight to sleep, well except for the car alarm in the parking lot that went off for over 40 minutes. Friday we took my teen to Miami University and the two adults got back about 8. I asked for a sheet to change the sleep sofa, my mother likes clean sheets every few days, only to find the mattress had no pad and the mattress has disgusting stains on it, looks like blood or other body fluids and not in a small amount. She ended up sleeping on the couch itself, not pulled out after seeing that. I went to watch TV and relax in bed about 9 only to find the TV not working. I immediately called the staff who came up to check it. He then says a wire seems loose and he would call the company, but it wouldn't be until the next day. He commented "you don't need it fixed tonight right? I have to be back at the desk." Funny since there is a sign on teh desk if they are not at the desk to call a number to reach them. So as an adult I got to sit and stare at my phone all evening. I then went to put our leftovers in the fridge for the night after 11 pm and there was a bottle of RED Gatorade in the fridge. We did not have gatorade. It was evidently left by the former guest and the fridge was not cleaned. I took the bottle down to the desk and told the staff, a different person. He asked if anything else was wrong. I said the TV. He then offered to change the TV at 1130 PM. I said I was heading to bed but why didnt the other guy offer and he said he guessed they weren't able to do that after all. Saturday, we went to get breakfast. I made a waffle only to not see dishes. I ask about it and am told the supplies didn't come in and to use a bowl...for a waffle. I broke the waffle into pieces but had to eat it like a pizza and gave up. The staff did find dishes but by then we were almost done. There are literal stores less than 5 minutes away. If paper plates don't come in on a Friday why wouldn't someone buy a pack for a few dollars? Leave for the day and get back at 7 PM. We walk in and Sam, the same employee from all three evenings, looks at me and says "I forgot about you. I called the tv company and they said the box is broken. They will be here MONDAY to fix it." I asked what I was supposed to do and he said "Sorry." I asked why the other staff had suggested switching the TVs and he shrugged and said he didn't know. So again NO TV and it is only 7 pm. I go back down and ask for the manager's name and he says "here" and hands me a card. Says nothing else. I go up to the room very upset at this point and go to get out the leftovers to heat and accidently open the freezer by mistake. It is DISGUSTING. It looks like it hasn't been cleaned in quite awhile. There is black something under the ice and you can see a hair or string or something frozen in the ice, not at the bottom, not at the top, but in the middle, like it has been there awhile. It is filthy. I have pictures. We have stayed at this hotel before and use Best Western quite often, This is our 5th stay, 8 nights, at a BW in less than a month. I have never had a staff ignore issues this badly or stayed in a BW this unhygienic. They did not offer to change our room (Friday there were less than 7 cars in the entire lot/Saturday slightly more but not even half full) or change the TV. Ironically, it took 30 minutes to check in because Sam,, the staff member, was showing me pictures of where he was from and telling me about his plans to mvoe out of state and start a business, but when we had problems we received no response. We were told the manager would call us on Monday. It is now Wednesday and no call.I also emailed the manager, the only way to contact him, and have received no response.
What I loved most about this hotel was the free breakfast and the friendly staff. The breakfast was nice and hot. Next to the hotel and across the street, there are various restaurants to eat out at, including a pizza place across the street. As for nearby attractions, the Kings Island amusement park is about a 10 minute ride away.
I had good experience with all staff. Especially, the night receptionist accommodated my request by assigning a quiet room at the end of hallway with nobody next door. Breakfast was good for the star level and kitchen staff made sure everybody had a good experience. I would definitely return to this location for my future visits.
Room was clean, all kinds of restaurants within walking distance, staff was incredibly friendly, breakfast was great. Experience was beyond my expectations and you can't beat the price! Excellent for families.
The bathroom was dirty, there was a roach in the sink. We told the person at the desk and said there was nothing he could do, I would have to talk to the manager. I gave the young man my number and asked him to let his manager call me and he never did. The staff at the desk was super sweet and really nice. The manager I have nothing good to say being that he didn't even bother to call me
Toilet ran all 3 days continuously even after issue was reported on first day. TV remote not working properly to change channels. NO ROOM SERVICE PERIOD!, even when reported all 3 Days! UNBELIEVABLE! WE WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN! EXTREMELY POOR MANAGEMENT.
Located near Interstate but far from it so you don't know it's there. Nice suburban area with many restaurants and people. Quiet room - we didn't hear others in the halls. Plush finishings and luxury quality mattress. Very comfortable. Breakfast had a large selection with hot eggs and sausage. Very tasty. We were very happy with our restful stay while traveling and will definitely look up this particular stop next time we need to travel through to see extended family.
This was our first visit to this establishment. The hotel is clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the internet was very good. The breakfast was excellent with a varied assortment of hot and fresh food. There are quite a few restaurants within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.
I found all staff to be pleasant and helpful. From the check-in to check-out we were always met with a smile. I would always stay here again when in the area. We found the room to be very clean. Only concern is the sound the plumbing caused when the toilet was flushed in another room. I am sure that our toilet made noise in their in the adjacent room in the same way.
We stayed here for the second time in two months. It was much better the first time. It wasn't as clean, and a couple of tiny roaches in the bathroom of 228 were rather upsetting. Also, the breakfast quality has gone down, particularly the severely undercooked sausage links and the unfortunately unseasoned fried eggs. Despite the engaging friendliness of the front desk staff, we'll try another option on our next trip through the area.
While the rooms were clean and the hotel is close to the interstate, restaurants and shops, there was a group of about 12 people hanging out in the lobby/hallway drinking beer, being loud and obnoxious. When we tried to call the manager (who I believe is also the owner) to complain, the guest room phone didn't work so we had to use our cell phone. The group was so loud he couldn't even hear us yet refused to tell the people to disperse. On top of that, their children (10-12 of them) were running back and forth between the hot tub and pool and like their parents, being loud, unruly and obnoxious. I honestly don't think they were guests of the hotel--probably just paid the manager to use the pool and hot tub. None of the hotel guests could even use the pool or hot tub due to the disruptiveness of the children. While they do have a full breakfast, the eggs were watery and the sausage was undercooked. There are other options which I did not take advantage of so they might have been better--waffle station, cereal, bagels, etc. Even though checkout is at 11:00, the maid tried to enter our room at 10:00 to clean it. We told her to come back after checkout and her response was "I no speak English." Honestly I do not recommend this hotel due to the poor management,, nor would I stay here again. This was a weekend getaway to celebrate my fiance's birthday and I'm very disappointed I chose the wrong hotel.
Not clean! Pool was gross with black marks on tile and too much chlorine and pool and dining room bathroom smelled of sewer. The room was showing marks of filth in closet, bathroom, dink area, fridge, and air conditioning. Uncomfortable squeaky beds and hard stuff pillows. Sink ring of lack of cleaning. Bugs possibly a few cockroaches too!
Several events in the area this week so the price was way too high. Ordinarily the going rate is around $75.00 and at that price I would give it 4 stars. The going rate for this particular weekend was $199.00 and at that price it gets 2 generous stars. Upon entering the room the smell of stale smoke, mold and poop hit me right in the face immediately. The smell was coming from the AC unit so I want to my car and fetched 2 carwash deodorizers and attached them to the AC vent. That masked the smell well enough. The place is very dated and needs gutted, but everything was clean, everything worked, and the mattress was very comfortable. The fridge was cold, the microwave worked fine as did the coffee maker and TV. Water pressure in the sink and shower better than my recently built home. So for a price point of $75.00 this place is fine for resting your head for a couple of nights. Smelly, ugly and old are its main faults.
When we arrived at 10:00 at night staff was very friendly. Place was very clean until we got onto the elevator there was a heavy smell of weed. The panels on the roof of the elevator were broken and discolored. When getting off the elevator there was a big bag of garbage. Went to our room my oldest want to go swimming before the pool closed at 11 but couldn't get in with the room key as there was no place for it. You have to ask the staff to let you in which she would do because of her social anxiety. So she came back up and I offered to go down with her to ask them to let her in but she said no because the water looked really unclean and it was cloudy. We all got ready for bed. My youngest had to use the restroom but came back out panicked because when she flushed water was coming out the top and the toliet looked like to was getting ready to over flow. I called down to the front desk and she informed us we needed to change rooms. We all had to get out of bed and pack back up. My happy because we were all so tired but unstood. They moved us cross the hall way and we made sure the toliet flush everything work fine. Started to unpack again and get settled in for the night. As unpacking relieved the mini refrigerator in this room didn't have a freezer. Which I need for the cold pack as my daughters medicine has to stay cold as we travel. We put in the fridge and hoped for the best next morning. Got up packed, the cold pack was cold enough to get us to the next hotel. We did make it to breakfast as it closed up at 9:00 and we went ready until ten after not getting to bed so late the night before. Checked out and staff was still very friendly, I had to explain why I old had one key card and why it was for a different room. He was very understanding after I had to explain everything that happened the night before. We will not be going back to this hotel again as it needs many updates and with the weed smell was not a place to take a family too.
Our first room had a non-functioning toilet and mold in the shower. After waiting nearly an hour for the help desk we got a new room that had leftover washcloths on the shower rod and a clogged drain.
Hotel is 10 minutes from the Kings Island theme park. Check in went smooth. Room with 2 Queen Beds was very small, dated and dusty. Bathroom toilet had blood on it, that we had to clean. Swimming pool and hot tub were dirty with paint chipping into them. Breakfast was limited and not very good. I would not recommend staying here. It was the worst Best Western we have stayed at.
Hotel staff was very friendly. No problem with them at all. Pool cloudy and a weird color. I had to buy my own cleaning products and clean the bathroom. Shower and tub were in need of repairs. Sink was cracked. Needing updated and being dirty are different. This was filth. We will not be staying here again. There was no housekeeping due to covid when there should be more cleaning. Also only gave us 2 towels for a family of 4. Seriously need a deep deep clean in this hotel. I
I will start by saying that the front desk worker was very helpful with every concern (except the pool; read on!). When we arrived, our room smelled HORRIBLY of marijuana; so bad that our daughters could not stand to even be in the room. We told the front desk, and he brought up a device that removed the smell while we left for a few hours. It (mostly) worked. The sink was also 100% clogged, and there were only a couple of towels for our family of 4 in the room. Later that evening as my daughters got in the pool, I noticed that you could not see the bottom of the 3-5 foot pool. The water had a weird murky dark tint. Later the next day both my daughters has issues with nausea and diarrhea while at Kings Island. When we checked out of the hotel, we discovered the source of the original smell, as two employees were sitting out in a truck smoking enough weed to notice it once you stepped outside. The pool, by the way, was also just as gross the next morning after a night of non-use. There is NO reason you should not be able to see the bottom a 3-5 foot pool. This place has been our go-to when we visit Kings Island, but I do not believe we will ever set foot in this place again.
Loved the staff at this hotel! Our room was comfortable and clean, and breakfast was good every morning. We will be back if we stay in Mason again! We also appreciated the on-site washer/dryer (2nd floor)
If your looking for a place to just stay the night this is a decent hotel. The rooms are clean and staff is nice. It has a indoor pool and hot tub. The fitness room is nice. The free breakfast was nice.
Had to wait for over an hour for someone to show up at the front desk. Sign said to dial zero on the "House phone"...but there was no phone. After checking in, I couldn't go to my room because it hadn't been cleaned yet (this was after 5PM). Finally got into the room to find the AC wasn't working. Only about half of the electrical outlets worked in the room. When I complained to the manager, I was told that if I didn't like the hotel, I should stay somewhere else. In the future, I will. This is a shame, since I had stayed there in the past and had been impressed.
The room was musty and smelled bad. Sink was broken, mattress was dirty and looked like it had bedbugs. Manager did nothing and wouldn't refund us when we left immediately after seeing the room. I will never visit another best western again.
I normally don't write reviews good or bad, but this is the worst Management BW I've ever been too. Now a couple of workers were really nice, but this BW needs updated and management needs to be changed ASAP!!! Too much negative for me to list all without writing a novel. Locked in non refundable for 7 days. I'm glad we were gone all days visiting family close by. Only had to put up with nights there. Just a few things I told management about, fire alarm went off, bathtub wouldn't drain, shower curtain and hair dryer falling off the wall, bathtub sink stopper wouldn't stay up, carpet looked like someone died, TV's didn't work, toilet ran night and day(?cost of water bill?) since I was staying more than 1 night I had to empty our trash ourselves and go get fresh towels and go get coffee and cups every night for morning coffee in room. Breakfast was same as any other BW just okay. So with that said manager took 6 days to come and try to fix things. The afternoon before we checked out. So took 1 shower without standing in my dirty water. Tv working and everything else was either forgotten to fix or just didn't fix. A lot more to this story but I'm finished with this review YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! GO ELSEWHERE UNTIL MANAGEMENT AND ROOMS HAVE BEEN UPDATED. CAN NOT BELIEVE BestWestern Corporate would put there name on this hotel DIAMOND REWARDS MEMBER THAT WASN'T EVEN RECOGNIZED AS SUCH????
Stayed here a few years ago and loved it but cost cutting and moronic desk clerks have diminished it's appeal. Rooms are comfortable and clean but it was 90 degrees when we got there because the a/c wasn't turned on. Breakfast is diminished but still decent. There is no maid service unless you request it but that wasn't a big deal to me. It's not a horrible place but if you don't like being insulted by desk clerks there are plenty of other places nearby for the same money.
No hot water and hasn't been updated in 30 years. Staff was unresponsive and didn't seem to care. Only 1 person could make decisions. The outlets on nightstand didn't work. Shower head sprayed water all over the bathroom. Breakfast was weak and coffee was watery.
Reported issues to front desk who didn't believe me. Beds were standing against the dresser at check in. Was given a different room with brown stuff splattered on wall. Button to call front desk on phone wasn't working. went downstairs to ask for batteries. front desk person followed me to my room to get remote. Then entered my room without permission. tried to make remote work then propped door open to get back in.
Stayed here one night over Mother's Day Weekend. Rates were lower than other places in surrounding area. Room was clean enough. Hotel is very dated. Reakfast area was not well cleaned and not restocked. Pool was small but okay. Hot tub was not hot a d only had 1 jet working which is great if you want to be spun in circles instead of relaxing muscles. No towels on the pool area. New guy at front desk apparently didn't know or want to put any in there. Elevator was small, not very clean and creaked alot. Made you wonder if it was going to break down with you in it. Kids were running in the halls a lot that night and in the early morning without anyone asking them to stop. Bathrooms are awkward. Toilet and bath tub/shower were in one area. Sink was right as you entered the room. Had a queen double and one bed was so close to the wall that you almost couldn't get in that side of it. Rooms are small and cramped. It was okay but I would not stay here again.
First rate service and great attention to cleanliness. We had a very nice stay here that was a great value. Rooms were nice and beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Convenient location to I-71.
We stayed at this Best Western on a Tuesday night. This is a 3 story building with an elevator. The desk staff were welcoming. Our first floor room had a comfortable queen bed, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, and an accessible bathroom with a large toll-in shower with grab bars and a fold down seat. Everything seemed very clean. Breakfast included the usual cereals and waffles along with scrambled eggs, sausages, and hard boiled eggs. The hotel is close to many restaurants.
The staff and management are extremely unprofessional. Our room had ants and a spider. The fridge, remote and ac until did not work. The pool was cloudy, unclean and smell of week old wet towels. Employees were caught laying on guests beds when they went into their room and the same employees were caught sleeping in the conference room our group paid to rent for the weekend.
The chlorine is overwhelming and made our entire party itch, sneeze, cough and some vomit. One child ended up with a visit to the local hospital. They do not take care of their pool. No staff seemed appropriately concerned about small children being so ill from their pool and didn't check the chlorine level when I asked.
The activities wasn't the best but the hotel staff was amazing and very friendly and made my kids smile. The pool was clean and great for the family. Housecleaning kept the rooms clean. I will recommend this hotel to friends and family and we will return
Saw lots of complaints about parking but definitely had no problems with it. Lots of stuff in walking distance. Hotel room was very clean and the staff was super friendly. Only disappointment was the hot tub wasn't open but that wasn't their fault.
Used my points for 3 nights, had a great stay overall. The owner was there when j extended my stay. He's always great to talk to. Sam and Brandi are really good team members to have! They are training new employees and are good examples to lead the new staff.
Excellent quaint hotel with great king suites, indoor pool, and awesome breakfast; conveniently located to highway and multiple food options nearby. Customer service was superb and Sam the Manager is awesome.
man Working front desk gave us wrong room, lied to us about rules pertaining to hot tubs and pools in the entire state of Ohio, and when we found out he was lying he lied again. Room was dirty, neighbors were extremely loud at all hours of night
the room was very clean and the pool was awesome. the lady doing breakfast whos name i believe was meagan went out of her way to go and get us the type of sweetner we wanted ive never receved customer service like that great job
Room was very clean. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was decent. Breakfast area was clean and nice, the person in charge of the breakfast was very helpful and cordial. We had a nice stay and would come back in future.
Had a nice stay was very clean good service good options for breakfast staff was nice the pool was clear and warm hot tub wasn't open but cause of pandemic will come back again for the great service I had
let me start by saying how clean the room was we were so happy with the stay coffee machine was down but manager went out of way to get us all coffee from dunkin and made sure we all had coffee for our in room cofee makers she was so nice an i havent seen customer service like that in a long time great job
The hotel is conveniently located, well appointed and well staffed. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was very good. We enjoyed the pool. We were upgraded to a king suite at no charge and the overall price was extremely competitive. Excellent stay overall.
This place is amazing the staff go above and beyond especially Megan!!! My family has had an well u can say a Rollercoaster of stuff good bad and worse this past year and we're down to the last 2-3 wks of staying in a hotel and getting a stable home again...Of all the places we have been of course at the very end we find it..home away from home..as u can guess staying in hotels gets pricey and qe have managed to make it but on some of those sticky times/days recently this staff (Megan) didn't know our family , just briefed on issue and worked with us as much as possible whenever she could and needed to make sure we didn't have to switch placed again until we get to our new home home with our son! Thank u all of u God bless u you all deserve so much just for being the people you are, trust me I've seen many many worse lol great havi g no judgment too!!! We love yall!!
Room was very clean. Bed was comfy. Lots of pillows and they were great pillows. Room has fridge microwave and tv. Water pressure was great. I came to preach at local church. Will stay here anytime in area.
We had such a good time here. We swam in the pool and it was nice and warm. THe hot tub is closed for covid but pool was great we didn't even miss the hot tub. Front desk and manager awesome. I would say that all staff here are great. We'll be back this summer!
This location is awesome. So close to a big movie theater. We went and saw Sing 2. The hotel was clean and welcoming. Manager was on duty and was friendly. She talked to us like she has known us forever. That is what great customer service is all about.
Room very clean and breakfast was great. Lots of options. Manager and staff super friendly. We enjoyed swimming in the pool. It was heated and they had pool toys. The kids had so much fun. Will be back again.
Clean hotel. Very quiet. Close to everything. Walking distance to 50ish restaurants, a plethora of shopping and the largest movie theatre I have ever seen. Good breakfast. Cable and on demand far surpasses that of your average hotel. Pool nice. All excersize equipment clean and in proper working order, which is far too often not the case. Staff, all of them, will exceed anyone's expectations.
This was a bit of an odd Christmas for my family this year. We sold our house just days before Christmas and had to spend our first Christmas together in a hotel. Despite our situation, the staff truly made all the difference in delivering superb service in making us feel right at home!
Breakfast every morning and heated pool. Cool place. Manager was literally always there. From mornings to afternoon to evenings. She was super nice and outgoing. Made our stay. We will def be back soon.
Room was clean and comfy. The pool was clear. Hot tub closed for social distancing unfortunately. They had the hotel decorated so lovely for the holidays. The manager was so friendly and went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. She helped us carry in luggage and even let us play cards (she supplied the cards also) in the breakfast room. She let us turn the TV on to a christmas movie and just spend quality time together. I hope she is appreciated and valued here! If not I would love to hire her for my company.
We stayed at this property while we were in town for Kings Island Winterfest. Every hotel employee we encountered were very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. The property was conveniently located.
There is not daily housekeeping like the hotel website says. If you want clean towels, a freshly made bed, and trash taken out you may have to do it yourself. The breakfast was good, the lady that worked the breakfast was very nice. The main problem I had was lack of housekeeping. The front desk person told me he would try to bring up fresh towels if he could. I just was disappointed in the service with respect to housekeeping since I did spend $100 to stay here.
Stay was great and we stay often. Very clean. 10/10 recommend. New manager is really trying to get this place together. She is so much nicer then past managers and staff. This place is looking up. Pool room looked so good.
We were in town to do the Donut trail of Butler County. This was a great place to start. Hotel was clean and comfortable. I would stay again, however no ice machine on the first floor and we had two rooms. One bathroom was fine, the other one- when you flushed the toilet it sound as if a jet was taking off. It made this noise for several minutes after the flush.
Stay was so great. They exceeded my expectations. Breakfast was delicious and room was clean. Manager was so helpful and funny and sweet. We would stay here over any of the other hotels in Mason every time. Check it out, it's worth it.
Hotel was really clean and cozy. Staff and the manager were nice and catered to our every need. We come to mason a lot to see our grandkids and will stay here every time. The grands loved the pool. The manager even gave them candy for Halloween.
Would not stay again. Would not recommend. Carpet filthy as entered, in all hallways & carpet in room was filthy. Room was also crowed. The room had a large tv stand that housed the micro wave, & cooler
The price was so low I figured the room would be subpar. I was wrong. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. Breakfast all 4 mornings I was there was great. There are many restaurants within walking distance with a movie theater just down the road. I will definitely stay there again the next time I am in Mason.
The hotel was extremely clean and comfortable. We loved how when we walked in the lobby smelled so nice and the fall decorations made us feel like we were home. The pool was nice and warm and the water was so clear. Breakfast was very delicious and many options. The staff was so friendly and attentive. Especially the manager Megan. She went out of her way to make sure we had a great experience and was so warm and inviting. She gave us some good spots to eat and visit. Check this place out! I've stayed at other Mason hotels and none of them compare to this.....
The rooms were filthy and the issue was never addressed. We had two different rooms, one being a king suite. When we went to pull out the bed there was food, candy wrappers, and even a feminine pad wrapper under the couch! There were also stains on the mattress inside the couch and on the sheets for the long bed. The other room looked as though it hadn't been prepared for new guests other than the beds being made.
Sam at check in was excellent. Best experience I have had. Hit all the points of a complete check in. He recommended a great place to have dinner as well. Room was clean and quiet and I was able to sleep well.
I chose Best Western Mason Inn for the proximity to Kings Island based on a mapquest search. I was not disappointed - Extremely easy to get to this property and to the park. The hotel was extremely clean and the front desk representative was extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay at the property next time I visit Cincinnati.
The room is dirty. The carpet filthy throughout the entire hotel. I grabbed a towel after a shower and it was dirty. Very bad. Nothing in the room has been wiped down. It is sticky with hand prints. I will skip this hotel. The front desk person very nice.
For a quick trip and an over night sleep it wasn't terrible, but the pool looked nasty, the hot tub was broken( the hot tub was the main purpose for the stay) The pictures on line that advertised this room looked nothing like the establishment. The vending machines were sold out. Spider webs all over the light fixtures, some red nasty substance on the outlet and old earrings in the floor.
Very good value for the price. We stopped here on a trip through Cincinatti on our way to Pittsburgh. The hotel staff at check in was very nice. They got us a pack and play for our small child. When we left we couldn't figure out how to fold it up, so they did it for us. Hotel was pretty average. Room was clean and comfortable. A few blemishes: the water did not drain properly in the shower / bathtub, the breakfast was only 6-9 (should have been til 10:00), and the hotel itself could use some renovation. But overall a nice stay for a brief stop on a roadtrip.
This hotel is filthy dirty. There are stains on seating in lobby, the front desk staff couldn't find our reservation (she admitted after we left to double-check our reservation and address) that she made a mistake but at no time did she apologize or smile. She was condescending. The room had worn sheets and blanket on both beds, the cabinet with the refrig. had a whole in it and wood shavings that were obviously not cleaned. It had dust where it should have been sanitized, etc. The second night we were locked out and had to go back to the desk to have our keys reactivated. At $140 a night I wouldn't have expected that I felt dirty like I was staying in a rent by the hour hotel...
We stayed the weekend for a Kings Island trip with our grown kids. The location was perfect, as they live within an hour and met us there. The staff was very kind and helpful. The room was very clean. The bathroom was super tiny, but served it's purpose. The breakfast was decent, but very crowded and they had run out of some things that did not get replenished, but one woman was trying to keep up and she was a very sweet lady. All in all, it was an excellent visit.
Good for what you pay. It was clean and offered a decent free breakfast. Staff was very courteous and professional. The pool was kind of small but at least it was open. Close to Kings Island and many restaurants around.
We bought failed and unfortunately due to the millions of ants that was on the food when we went to go get it we were unable to eat it. Kind of weird too because we were on the second floor of the hotel and in the middle of the floor. The bags were also very uncomfortable along with the pillows. The shower could you use some painting and some new fixtures little bit of mold I saw in the bathroom.
Nice and clean hotel. There are a lot of things you can do in the area! There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance and you have kings island very close. I would recommend this hotel for your stay!
Room wasnt vacuumed, found old food in room, mirrors had water spots all over them, left a shoe in the room and I called immediately as soon as I got home that very evening and they threw it away already and I had just bought them. No bible in room and no pen and paper to write with. No local food directory in toom.
We were in town for a family reunion. We were actually checked in by manager. It was a breeze. She got us In an hour before check in time and made sure we had eveuthing we needed. When we were checking out the two day later she asked how our reunion went and seemed genuinely interested like she actually wanted to kno instead of just asking to ask. She was very nice nd had a good sence of humur. Our kids had fun the the pool and my wife laid out back getting her tan on. Nice spot and when we come to town next we will defiantly be staying here again.
Checkin was fine. Room was very clean and nice. We did not get a chance to swim due to our plans but from what I saw it was a nice pool area. The hot tub is closed due to Covid per the front desk gentleman. Would have been nice to relax our muscles after a long day at kings island. At check out we got to meet the new manager. She is so warm and kind. I enjoyed chit chatting with her about our eventful day at kings island. She made us feel important. Breakfast was good and simple. We enjoyed the yogurt. The breakfast hostess is very attentive. Will stay again on our next trip!
When I made the reservation the hotel offered Good Hot Breakfast and a Pool with Hot Tub! But when I arrived there was caution tape around the Hot Tub and I was told the pump had broken :( The pool is the smallest I've seen and was in bad shape. And the Breakfast is just Juice and a muffin. I paid close to 150.00 a night with no refunds! I would avoid this hotel at all cost
Staff were pleasant, the facility could use a good update, sheets were stiff and felt terrible against our skin Rooms need updating Breakfast was limited but the gal in the breakfast area was wonderful and the coffee was good
Dirty and Grimey is the best way to describe the overall experience of the Best Western in Mason. I'm not talking about just the rooms, I'm talking about their permanent residents and tenants. From the third floor odor of cigarettes and marijuana to the first floor barefoot contessa of the Kleenex family, this place is just downright nasty. This hotel would be the worst accommodation in the area if it weren't for the Gem next door in the Mason Inn, but they at least have a decent pool and outdoor area. Do yourself a favor and spend a little more for one of the other 6 hotels you can walk to from here.
I stayed here for a visit to Cincinnati and Kings Island. The room was clean, but you can tell the hotel's getting on a bit and hasn't had a good going-over in a while (e.g., peeling paint, a tough door handle exiting the stairwell). There were signs claiming masks were required in public areas, but it totally wasn't enforced (fine with me since I'm fully vaxxed tbh). I'm a fairly loyal Best Western customer, but this hotel wasn't stellar like most BWs are imo. Nothing wrong with it... just nothing to particularly recommend it either. In retrospect, I wish I would have stayed at a different hotel closer to Kings Island (there are plenty despite their claim of being the closest) or at least to downtown Mason.
The motel has free parking. My check in went quickly, but I was charged a $100 deposit (credit cards are okay). The rooms (which have free wi-fi and a free breakfast) have inside entries. The room had little space around the bed and most of the electrical outlets were not functioning. The curtains were light which did not afford very good privacy. The room was drafty. I did manage to get a good night's sleep and received my requested wake up call. My check out was without difficulty.
This was Memorial day weekend they were not ready for crowd. Drink machines were down. Room Maintenance issues. The price was good for three of us. Breakfast area was really good the lady there deserves tips. She was helpful and kept things clean and stocked. Beds were not as comfortable as expected. But they were clean.
I didn't believe that this is a systemically racist company or country. However often inconsistent enforcement of policy can give the illusion of a person being racist and is just poor customer service. I stayed at this hotel in April and the staff was pleasant and there was no mention of a 100.00 deposit. I returned in May and the experience was different. I am aware that there is a deposit after reviewing the Hotels.com reservation and this complaint is not to dispute that. The problem was I was told that I had no reservations only seconds after giving her my name. So began the process of digging out my phone to show proof. Then to be told "oh I was on the wrong day" by the staff person. Next I was told I need a 100.00 deposit. I asked, why is this the 1st time I am being charged this. I was just here 3 weeks ago and was not charged. Staff person said it was policy (not helpful if not consistently enforced) and when I asked when did the policy change, I was just here. At this point the janitor began standing off to the side starring and me. The staff said I am sorry that I upset you and did not change the 100.00 deposit. This was insulting, I just got tagged as the 6' 2 angry blackman. I can't be made upset by people, I control my mind and choices. I would have paid the 100.00 deposit and still have my card for "incedentals " but my valid questions where not awnsered . And I informed the staff person I wouldn't return here. The staff person kept talking and I informed her that all " I can hear is don't come here", as she continued to talk about the policy she now ignored. The point is If you don't apply policy consistently then remove the policy. This is the exact reason why some people see injustice everyplace they go. Be Consistent.
There were minor issues with refrigerator nd coffee pot. Both were resolved almost immediately. Those were overshadowed by the amazing staff. Customer service goes far with us. The breakfast wasted that great but the woman working in the dining area was so awesome they could've served gruel and I wouldn't have cared.
Very clean, great breakfast, indoor pool was fun. This hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. We stayed two nights and both were great. The breakfast has waffles, cereal, and a lot more. The pool is indoors and very fun. The room was clean and smelled great.
Not a good place to stay with kids. Rooms were not cleaned very well at all trash behind dresser and nightstand , people smoking in the pool area, you could smell pot throughout the whole hotel. My son went down to get sheets, blanket and two pillows for the sofa couch got one thin blanket and two towels for pillows. Wasn't serving breakfast because of COVID (stayed at three other hotels while traveling they all served breakfast) no soap, shampoo or coffee pot in room. The outside doors don't lock so anyone off the street can walk right in. (There were plenty of them too) people were really loud in their rooms
My family and I have tried to keep to ourselves during COVID, and during our stay there were minimal guests and staff was helpful. We booked on Priceline at a great rate for a room with 2 Queens. With the low occupancy rate, pool was empty and so we enjoyed some private pool time as well. Traveling during a pandemic we are very aware cleaning that gets overlooked. During this particular stay, we did notice that there were snot rockets on the wall around the toilet and beer caps in the corner behind the coffee table. I know these rooms are used by multiple people and some of these individuals are gross, self absorbed individuals that don't care about hotel property. However, boogers from previous guest are yucky none the less. Price was great, pool was empty and water clean, grab and go breakfast was nice. Past tenets disregard for hotel property paired with cleaning crew overlooking these items, Ehhhhhh.....
Employees didn't wear masks. Waiting for 15-20 min for someone to show up at front desk to check me in, tried calling the number provided but no one answered. Room was small, dingy and dark. Bed had no comforter and three pillows that looked way to small for a king bed or really any bed. The three pillows were incredibly uncomfortable. Coffee was in the lobby in the morning but tasted burnt
Just one of the best places to stay in Cincy with the Ark down the road and plenty of choices to where you would like to eat. Just around the corner of one of the best malls in the country with a lot of different stores to shop at
This has been the worst Best Western that I have stayed at. The phone didn't work which if their was an emergency I was glad to have my cell phone. The front attendant said it was probably the phone jack. The pillows were terrible though bed comfortable. The pool door was loud and needs to be fixed. Also got towels from front desk and the attendants mask was not on her face it was hanging around her ear. Why enforce mask wearing policy if your workers can't even do so correctly.
Stayed 2 nights at Best Western Mason Inn> It was convenient to our visits to wineries and other locations. Would book this Inn again. Breakfast was limited due to the Crona19 vires but acceptable. needed extra pillows and towels and staff provided those promptly.
We booked this property via booking and requested an early checking time which was agreed by the Hotel mannager in an email. When my daughter arrived and requested to check in, the lady at the reception Patricia Clark, refused to do so, even after she was shown the email from the hotel manager. then my daughter requested a written cancellation receipt and Miss Clark threaten to call the police. We have her picture and we will use it. Terrible place, I have traveled all over the world, never Had i seen such customer service...
We stayed here for two nights via a Hotwire secret deal; the room was reasonably priced at $50/night. Location is 11/10–just a short drive from downtown Cinci and ample food and shopping within walking distance from the hotel. The pool was in good shape, but busy most every time we walked past it. The hot tub was out of order according to the front desk, but it didn't have any signage and was still filled. The room was decent, bed was very comfortable (super firm), the water pressure in the shower was so-so, and water got and stayed hot. The real issue was that at no point during our 2 night stay did ANY staff have a mask on—this is multiple people working, disregarding the safety and comfortability of guests, not to mention state law, by not wearing masks. Most guests that I saw in passing in various areas of the hotel did not have masks on either, and staff was obviously not enforcing the issue dispute a myriad of flyers posted throughout the hotel indicating that masks MUST be worn while inside.
Front desk clerk very friendly and helpful. Clean smelling rooms except 2 towels had stains on them (chunks of something). No breakfast buffet due to Covid but a sack bag with fruit/muffin and a granola bar. Would definitely recommend and will be back
Just an overall wonderful place to stay and spend some off time to explore the city. Played golf at several courses and the restaurants were of great quality and numerous types of eating establishments. A very nice place to stay the area is so beautiful in that part of the city. we visited plenty of places while we were there.
Pool and hot tub were small, but very clean. My kids and I happened to be the only ones using it the night we stayed, but I am guessing it could get crowded easily. Breakfast overall was excellent, the area was large with many tables so it did not feel crowded, and attendant kept everything very clean and well stocked with fresh food and coffee. There was a large television with the news playing in this area. Everything in this hotel was very clean and staff was very friendly.
Would like to take the time to say I Stayed at this Hotel in Bessemer A was a very good experience the service was professional and the hotel was Clean the rooms are spacious. Will stay there again. .
This hotel is located conveniently off of the I-75. It is surrounded by restaurants, gas stations, and shopping areas. The rooms are fairly large, well-appointed and very clean. The rooms are quite quiet you do not hear noise from Neighbors, people in the hall, or traffic outside of the hotel. The breakfast is slightly above-average. How's the number of hot items, baked goods, cereals, yogurt, fruits, and make your own waffles. We were at the hotel slightly before all of the panic over covid 19 hit. So we were still eating in the breakfast area and serving our self in a buffet-style. Food was hot and well-stocked. The breakfast area was quite clean.
Have stayed here previously and enjoy the clean rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff, good service and tasty breakfast. Plus the location is perfect for our stopover during trips to Florida. The friendly staff can be counted on to recommend good restaurants in the area.
The hotel and the staff were extremely nice - great value. Will definitely stay here next time I'm in the area!! Amenities were awesome and the location was very convenient to food, shopping and downtown Cincinnati
We had a king room with mini fridge, Microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer and television. The mattress was very comfortable, we brought our own pillows. The room was clean overall. I prefer a bathroom where the sink is in the same room, though. Elevator is slow and holds about 6 people with their luggage. Take the stairs if possible. Breakfast was good in variety. Hot food was replenished as quickly as it was consumed. The breakfast area has several tables and the food and beverages stretched out along one straight counter. At times it was a bit congested. There are several decent restaurants nearby. Very satisfactory. Have no problem recommending.
I am always skeptical when hotels are priced $50-70 because we always stay in pricier nice hotels however my daughter's school show choir reservations were here & we wanted to be close to our daughter. We was very pleased, comfortable, clean & excellent friendly staff. Basic Breakfast with eggs sausage toast bagels cereals juice etc Small indoor pool and hot tub. Workout room with some simple equipments that my son and husband used. Do not let the cheap price scare you! These rooms anywhere else would cost over $100.
Check in was fast and easy. The room was large, clean and had fast internet. The desk clear was most helpful as to dinner options and there area number of choices within walking distance. For a mid price motel it exceeded expectations.
Was touring Cincinnati, Ohio, area for vacation and stayed at this hotel for one night -- not far from sites I was interested in. The front desk staff was helpful and courteous, hotel room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was good. Good experience.
We spent one night at the Best Western. I called from the car and made the reservation. Check-in was quick; Juan was extremely helpful and courteous. The room and bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable. Our room was on the third floor and was very quiet. Breakfast was good; cheese omelets, sausage links and patties, make--your-own-waffle, cold cereal, pastries, yogurt, coffee and juice. Check-out was quick. All employees were friendly.
Great for the money. Conviently located. No issues; nice and quiet location. The staff was quick to respond to any needs. The breakfast bar was self-serve with hot meals and cold meals. Juice and coffee was good.
The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, however my room was not very clean so I probably wouldn't stay here again. The pool was nice and clean and warm, but the hot tub could have been cleaner as well (I think I have average to slightly above average cleaning standards).
I would recommend this BW location to anyone! The location was perfect, the room was clean with the bed being EXTREMELY comfortable. And finally, the staff went out of their way to meet all my needs!!
The room was clean and there was enough towels that didn't need to ask for more. The housekeeping staff had done a very good job. It was a nice quiet place to stay. The best thing my bed was low, no long jumping for this old woman!!
I was in the Mason, Ohio area as part of my cross country bicycle journey. I thought the hotel was a perfect location near anything i might need. Check in was friendly, quick and easy. My room was clean, quiet and comfortable. My main goal was rest, and this was the perfect spot for that. I was up early to pedal away further, and after breakfast that was well stacked and looked after, I did just that. This hotel is a great value if you are looking for quiet, clean, good service and comfortable! I would absolutely stay here again!! TheBigRideforEB.com
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Our family loved this hotel! It has the perfect amount of amenities for the money. The location is super convenient, close to everything you need, and right off the highway. The pool and hot tub were perfect. The breakfast was also very nice and convenient, and contained enough hot items to make everyone happy. All staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms, although a little on the small side, were very clean. Everything worked properly. The fridge and microwave were so convenient! My only complaint is the indoor pool temperature was a little cold, and the hot tub could have been cleaned more often (it was getting constant use while we were there in November!). Otherwise, everything was perfect, and we will definitely be back! P.S. There have been some updates since the pictures were taken! The pool area has nice new tile on the walls. There is new patio furniture and a new fence around the patio area. The breakfast room also has new furniture.
Everything was perfect! I look for Best Westerns to stay at wherever I am travelling. Rarely...rarely am I let down. I have stayed at this property many times. It is in a great location with many restaurants in the area.
Nice stay on night of 11/1 until i noticed a day later & 400 miles away on 11/2 that I left meds behind. Though I called on 11/2 with address and offer to pay mailing or other costs, staff has not yet as of 11/7 initiated any action to send my pills.
I really appreciate the service we received especially coordinating by phone since we were traveling 6 hours away late at night. We were offered a nice room and the best rate available and breakfast was fantastic!
A great hotel in a good location close to resturants and shopping. A very polite and efficient staff. Well appointed rooms with comfortable beds. Breakfast area.has a good selection of hot and cold foods and beverages.
first room smelled like smoke but staff gave us 2nd room quickly--rooms were clean and the indoor pool was a plus! breakfast room was crowded so we weren't able to get a few of the food options but overall the stay was very good!
I accidentally forgot my medicine in the room and checked out. The front desk happily gave me a new key to come back inside to look for it. When I got back in, the room was already clean (super quick) and the cleaning staff had bagged it up and returned it for me! Besides that that, every person I encountered was super friendly and the rooms were very clean. Lastly this hotel is about 10 min drive to King's Island. For price and quality you cant find any other place like this.
it is a nice hotel to stay at and is not that far to go to king island for there halloween haunt with the family and friends and have good time at king island halloween haunt fest and it is a nice town in mason,oh
There is some shopping within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable beds. They came in and made beds each day and exchanged any soiled towel. They also left the air as it was set. The only thing is if you have any coconut allergies, be careful as the little sample products say they are Argonne Oil but coconut is the smell and carrier oil. I mentioned it to the desk and she was very helpful to try and find another product for us to use. Breakfast was good and hot it should just have marked whether there is dairy in the eggs the way they were made.. But overall good experience.
Everything was as expected. The hotel was clean and quiet. Easy on/off I-71 and only 10 a short drive of the I-75 corridor. Several Restaurants are close by. The indoor pool has an adjoining outdoor deck for the nice weather.
Very great location with easy access off I-71. The registration was quick and the Manager was friendly and very helpful. The room was clean, neat and very adequate. The only negative of this factility is something that present management can NOT correct, as the building was built with only ONE SMALL elevator for the number of rooms this place contains. Two persons, each with ONE piece of normal luggage basically FILLS the elevator. The breakfast room is normally adequate but when TOUR BUS LOADS of people try to eat all at the same time prior to leaving makes the room PACKED with no room for non-tourists. The food is adequate and well presented and continually replenished. There are MANY restaurants within a few seconds of driving, as there is a large MALL and several other separate malls across the street and across the Highway. I would HIGHLY recommend this BW Hotel.
Bathroom wall, floor and door had red stains all over them, Most Likely blood. Staff did nothing to fix it. Free breakfast was out of plates. I had to go elsewhere. I would not recommend staying here.
Our stay is always amazing. It starts from the minute we walk into the hotel. The General manager Pia Morris is the best. She makes our stay incredible. From the greeting , the cleanliness, the food is awesome. We would recommend this hotel!
The hotel is located just off I70 very conveniently located. We only spent 1 night. The room was a little on the small side but clean and comfortable. The staff were all friendly. They have an indoor pool and free breakfast in the morning which was good.
I arrived at 3pm on Friday and left at 7am on Saturday. My room was on the second floor across from the elevator. I didn't hear a thing all night. I heard a baby crying in the room next to me from the hall. In the room I didn't hear a thing all night. Plenty of towels, hot water and pillows. Comfortable bed and bedding. Free wifi. It's an old building that has been refurbed on the surface. The elevator was kinda scary. Plenty of parking.
if the carpet didn't stink, I would appreciate everything for the price I paid for it! The sheets had hair (i don't shed hair hence unappealing) but the staff were very prompt to change them. All the staff I encountered were Very nice staff!!
This hotel was a nice hotel not the most fancy of hotels I've stayed at But the rooms were comfortable and quiet so it fit the bill after a long day of traveling I'd recommend people stay at this hotel.
Pool was and hot tub was small, but very clean. Me and my kids happened to be the only ones using it the night we stayed, but it could get crowded easily. Breakfast overall was excellent, the area was large with many tables so it did not feel crowded, and attendant kept everything very clean and well stocked with fresh food and coffee. There was a large television with the news playing in this area. Everything in this hotel was very clean and staff was very friendly.
The shower head had mold in it and the mattress felt like a futon mattress, uncomfortable, sheets had stains on them as did the carpet, breakfast was nothing to write home about, i did like the malt waffle mix. So that's a plus.
We decided to stay over on last minute. They gave us an early check in so we could go to our activity and not have to leave our extra clothes in the car. The hotel was within minutes of the water park we were going to as well
My wife and I took our grandkids to Kings Island and The Beach Water park. We stayed at Best Western Hotel in Mason Ohio because it is so close to the location of both parks. We were very satisfied with both rooms that were adjoining. They were very clean well stocked rooms with comfortable beds and pillows. The staff was very friendly too. We will stay at Best Western again and recommend it to our friends.
Comfortable clean beds, and bath, good air conditioning on a very hot weekend, but the amenities take a back seat to the friendly staff. Iryna at the front desk and Debbie in the breakfast buffet made us feel at home, thanks for a pleasant stay
We felt thathis hotel was overpriced for what was offered. Cloudy pool water in the early evening. Ants on the breakfast counter. Not the best tasting coffee if you get a cup right after they change the box.
I would possibly stay here again, but it reaaly needs an upgrade. My bathroom was falling apart... fresh dry wall with no paint on it on wall, the toliet paper holder fell off the wall and the shower curtain was yellow'd and old. This place was clean and the bed was nice and comfortable. The hotel is a great being less than 10 minutes from Kings Island. I think it would be great if it was updated.
The location, price, cleanliness and friendly staff make this hotel a must stay! Less than 10 mins from kings island makes it even more desirable. My husband and my daughter and I all enjoyed use of the pool and hot tub. And the non smoking rooms didnt smell of smoke so that was a huge plus for us!
The hotel is actually very nice. The pool is clean, and the Jacuzzi was hot( but the jets did not work on the Jacuzzi). It was a very nice room with a lot of channels on the TV. Many of the guests are here to visit Kings Island Amusement Park, so there are a lot of children. The breakfast was nice, with hot cheese omelets and sausage patties, Greek yogurt, bagels, and many other choices( the usual make your own waffles, good coffee). Very clean, and very cared for. The only problem was when we spoke to this super young reception person, she couldn't have cared less. One word answers, and tried to get rid of me as fast as she could. The sour puss young person at reception was having a bad day, and wanted all the guests to be as miserable as she was. They would have gotten a 4 star if the young receptionist wasn't so rude.
WOW! Upon arrival I was impressed by the staff! The rooms were nice, and so comfy! Stayed to visit Kings Island, but it rained, so we used the pool and spa. Kids really enjoyed it! Everything was so clean! We didn't need Kings Island to have family fun!The breakfast was so delicious, and the lady kept bringing in more food! They offered eggs, sausage, waffles, pancakes, bagels, pastries, fruit, juices, they had it all This was by far one of the best hotels I've ever visited, this will always be my hotel of choice!
The room was very dirty. I used almost a whole big tub of Clorox wipes to clean it with most black/brown. The bathroom switches took 3 wipes alone to get it clean enough to touch. There was still grime on the underside that I could not get off. The window shears were moldy. The carpet did not appear swept well. Would not recommend this hotel if you want a clean room.
We stayed here for Spirit Song 2019. This hotel is about 5 miles from KI, centrally located near many food choices (restaurants, fast food, gas stations). The rooms are decent if not on small side. Decent breakfast with limited hours. Does have small indoor pool, with even smaller hot tub (maybe fit like 4-5 adults comfortably). Does have guest laundry on 2nd floor. No ice machine on 1st floor, but there is a small slow elevator that can take you to 2nd and 3rd floor. The WiFi worked great as far as I could tell, no complaints from the 2 teenagers that were with us. Our room had a musty/old smell to it so i bought a car air freshener and used it on the AC. AC was working and wonderfully cold. Overall it was just an average stay.
Great value, quiet area. Breakfast is above average. Very clean. Not enough time on our trip to use the pool but it looked very inviting. Highly recommend and we will definitely be returning on our next visit to Cincinnati area.
We walked in here for a room after having a bad experience down the road. The lady at the front desk was super helpful. We got 2 rooms, adjoining. Rooms were nice and clean. Pool area is nice. Hotel is clean. Breakfast was good too. I cant thank the nice lady enough for turning our trip around.
It's always a great visit been there two times and never can find anything wrong. Personal is very nice and helpful ...location is the best. Always enough parking available even when hotel is busy. We will come again
For two years my wife and I have stayed in the BW Mason while attending our grandchildrens' graduations. We have found the place comfortable and friendly. There always seem to be children and families here which makes for a homey atmosphere. The price, which includes a hot breakfast, cannot be beat.
Hotel was in a good location. Pool area is dated and pretty small for the size of hotel. Elevator is a little scary. My 10 yo daughter took the stairs most of the time. Breakfast was decent enough. Biggest complaint was that we had a room with an adjoining door and the noise was terrible.
We stayed at this location for a soccer tournament. We had a King Suite. There were 2 adults and 2 kids. there was no issue with it being clean. Breakfast was adequate and staff friendly on check in. The issue is the small bathrooms! The typical handicap public toilet is bigger than the entire bathroom. The toilet stopped up easily and the sink was in the common area of the suite. No privacy there. I asked the desk if we would have been better off with the 2 queen room and she said, no, they all have small bathrooms. The bed was comfortable. The sofa bed had a lot of wear but again, it was adequate for 2 light weight kids. The pool was on the small side and the hot tub was tiny. It was a good distance from the soccer fields and took a lot longer to get there than you would think. Would not stay there again but it was not a bad experience over all.
We stopped at this hotel on way back from Nashville. We enter there, staff was nice. Beds were nice, looked like 70's style beds. The room also looked like old school 1970's style. Pool and hot tub was nice. One major issue. When we came into room 207 (I believe), the wall was a bit outdated espically inside the bathtub. The bathtub entryway is so high, u cannot get out of the shower. It was so high that I got out and bumped into that one wall on my left and partially scraped my elbow a bit. Shower head with pressure was a bit off, but good.
It was a horrible experience and I will not return. The toilet leaked, the shower would not turn off and almost flooded the tub. I was refused to be given a refund and go to another room. They changed my room only for me to find dirty towels. The housekeepers obviously do not take their time cleaing. The hot tub water was filthy.
Everything was better than average, except the hot tub not working & the coffee. A TV channel guide would have been helpful. The quality of the room & its furnishings were exceptional, clean & comfortable, with great climate control, plumbing, and really comfortable mattresses & pillows!
I stayed here during a recent business trip. My room was very clean, comfortable bed, simple. The desk chair was a little worn at the headrest and there was no safe in the room, which made me uncomfortable. As an out of country traveller, I had my passport and would have preferred to lock it up. Breakfast was adequate in the morning, eggs or omelettes with sausage and bagels, muffins etc.... I didn't swim but the pool looked clean with a jacuzzi. The gym was basic, a few cardio machines and a weight machine. Staff were friendly and the entire place was quiet. Overall, it suited my needs for a few days.
Rooms were very clean and comfortable with nice décor, Staff was very friendly and efficient. We were not offered Express Checkout only because we used our BWR points that never expire for a free night! We had doctor appointments and the hotel was located just minutes from Cincinnati Children's Hospital!
The room was clean, beds comfortable and good temperature control. We did not hear any noise from other guests or hallway noise. The temperature of the pool and hot tub was perfect. The fitness area had more equipment than other hotels. The price was a great value. I would stay there again if in the area.
The hotel was very nice and clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were too firm in my opinion and I had to fGo to another hotel. My mother and brother also stayed and they thought the beds were comfortable. It just depends on if you like firm or soft beds
Our stay here was almost perfect. Aside from our son finding a pill on the floor and cleaning supplies being unavailable when requested when my daughter got sick. The beds were super comfy, the hot tub and pool were both really nice, breakfast had a perfect amount of options. What impressed us the most was when we asked if we could pay for a half day, so we could check out a little later, since out daughter was extremely ill, they didn't charge us any extra and allowed us a few extra hours. It made our long drive home much easier! We will definitely be staying again!
I came am down to the Cincinnati area on business and brought my wife and two of our kids with me for a one night stay. We enjoyed a couple hours at the pool and hot tub, and the breakfast was very good. We found all the staff to be friendly and helpful. They even called us after we checked out because we left some items in the room.
The staff at BW Mason are really terrific! Everyone went the extra mile both days we were there, from friendly/fast check in and out, to very nice breakfasts, with lovely warm pool the grandkids really enjoyed, a nice fitness area for their mom, and just all together a great place to stay!
We arrived earlier than check in. The woman at the front desk was able to accommodate us with a room shortly after we arrived. The room was clean but had a odd odor. Probably a cleaning agent they used to clean with. I did see an employee cleaning the common areas of the hotel as we arrived. The pool water was very warm. The hot tub was warm but the jets were not very strong for a hot tub. The breakfast was very nice and had flavored coffee creamers. Overall this is a great value and as I have in the past would recommend and would stay here again in the future.
Best Western is always good. I've had nothing but good experiences here and this property was no exception. Clean and very comfortable stay and staff were great. I would go here again for sure. Didn't see the facilities so I don't know how extensive they are.
Room was clean and neat. Everything worked. Breakfast was good. Plenty of dining options within walking distance. Somewhat busy area with multiple hotel options. Very reasonable price. Would stay here again.
I stayed her with 15 other people while touring. The ark and it was wonderful. We had 9 rooms booked and not a single complaint. Great staff good breakfast and within walking distance of a lot of shopping and food.
This Best Western wasn't up to my expectations. Upon check in, the front desk clerk seemed rushed to get back to whatever it was she was doing on her phone before we arrived. I asked her not to charge the card I booked with and she did anyway. When I asked about correcting it she said it would be too much hassle. Our room was small but clean. Our room, along with the rest of the hotel, is in need of many cosmetic updates. There was leather peeling off the chair in our room, rust around the railings in the shower, the walls in the elevator were damaged. The mattress wasn't as comfortable as I have had at other Best Westerns. The pool was nice and clean but small. With 5 adults in the pool it felt crowded. The breakfast was a highlight, as were the girls that made sure it was filled and clean. The strawberry waffles were my daughter's favorite. When booking this room I wasn't looking for a 5 star hotel. I wanted somewhere clean and inexpensive and I got that, but there was definitely room for improvement.
We have stayed at this Best Western many times over the past 15 years. Everything was up to Best Western's usual quality, but we have mentioned to the front desk staff many times: It is really annoying not to have an automatically opening front door. Staff have always agreed with us, but the situation never changes. Management: please look into this!
Very convenient, hotel staff very nice and helpful, Bed was comfortable and breakfast was great. Would highly recommend this hotel for the friendly and helpful staff. Would also recommend for the pleasant atmosphere.
The room was wonderful. Even better than I expected. The check in was a breeze. Breakfast was really good as well. They had a lot of variety. It would be difficult not to find something you like. Over all experience was an A+++
Room was clean and quiet. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast choices were good. Would stay again. Good location near many restaurants and shopping. I travel often for business and do not need "fancy"- just need a clean and comfortable place- This hotel was great.
The breakfast was very good & all of the staff were extremely nice The indoor pool & hot tub were great. The pool temperature was perfect, warm enough but not too warm. Would definitely stay here again.
This hotel is excellent. I chose it because it offers a suit with a bedroom door so the husband and I can have privacy from the kids. It also has 2 TV's so the kids can watch their shows. This is our 2nd year staying and will be our go to when when are going to Kings Island each year. The pool is small but was ok for our kids. Just watch your younger kids because parents don't supervise at all. Their is a hot tub but its on the smaller size also. The breakfast offers a great variety of hot and cold for FREE so people shouldn't be so critical. They keep it stocked well. They are busy this time of year so it takes awhile to use the waffle maker but overall everything was great!!!
This hotel looks new and supposedly is all non-smoking. The room smelled OK at first. After a couple hours and running the AC the stale smoke is so bad that my eyes sting and I feel sick. The windows do not open and no other room is available. The low rate would seem to attract patrons to whom the rules do not apply. Avoid at all costs if clean air is important to you.
I stayed at this hotel during our recent visit to King's Island. I picked it because of the price and reviews, and usually I prefer to stay at a BW, but NEVER again. The pics online look nice but the actual rooms were TINY, I've never been in a BW with rooms that small. The breakfast area was a joke. It was in one little corner of the lobby, there were hardly any tables, and the food was just underwhelming. And the best part was when my 2 yr old son was looking under the bed skirt for his shoe and pulled out a USED ENEMA! There was also a second one that was full. Not only is this absolutely disgusting, it could be dangerous, there are bodily fluids involved with that! And my grandmother and mother stayed in the room next to ours, and they didn't find any enemas, but they did find some weird cat treats and garbage under their bed skirt, which leads me to believe they don't clean any of the rooms very well. They offered to switch rooms but we had already stayed in it one night and were gone the whole next day, so I didn't really see a point. And they gave us a free night, which was nice, but I still don't feel it was taken as serious as it was. I don't know how this place got the reviews that it has, we will NEVER stay here again.
This is a nice & clean hotel. Staff are really friendly & helpful. Guest dryer was not working & after 2 weeks of vacation we needed to wash a coupl of loads. They let us put our clothes in their commercial dryers.
Very decent hotel for the price. Nice hot tub, and the hotel is close to everything you could possibly want. The hotel clerk Brandie was very nice. Spoke to her once a day while I was staying there. It's hard to decide whether to have breakfast at the hotel or walk over to Chick-Fil-A for breakfast. Thanks for a great time Best Western.
The hotel was very very clean all of the staff very professional we were more than satisfied with our room we intend to visit again Our room was very very nice and accommodating got a good night sleep which is important when traveling
Stayed on a quick trip through Ohio. Found room to be excellent with lots of room, good lighting, and clean. Beds were comfortable and no problem with wifi. Shower head was wonderful but spray may be too hard for some people. Will definitely stay here again when in area.
We enjoyed a 3 night stay with decent breakfast selection, a very tiny pool, and friendly staff. It was a great location for our visit to King's Island, a Reds game, and the Beach Waterpark. For a cheap hotel, my only complaints are the “pay by the week” shady hotel right outside and across the parking lot. But I didn't feel unsafe. And the fact that you were standing in water over your ankles after a quick shower. The drains were VERY slow! Overall, a fine stay for the cost.
I've stayed at a few best western chains. This one definitely needs to be updated. The rooms had an old smell to it. The staff was friendly & the breakfast was good (I like the choice of strawberry waffles) but most chains have a variety of choices with their breakfast bar like biscuits & other pastries. I mostly like the fact that it was right down the road from kings island for us just being their for one night.
I have stayed at this hotel several times. I have always found it to be clean, quiet, and reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet is basic but clean and better than some higher priced hotels where I've stayed. Location is convenient to the interstates, the Little Miami Bicycle Trail, and Kings Island.
Stayed here for 4 nights . Everything seemed Nice & Clean. Friendly, Helpful Staff. Average Hotel breakfast w/waffles, toast, cold cereal, scram.eggs, sausage, etc. pretty much the same everyday, but tasty. A few other eateries within walking distance & many more if you want to drive. (we were on a bus tour) Kids enjoyed pool. AC was OK, just had to turn really low to get it to cool down. Would recommend.
Great location just a few exits south of Kings Island. Dated, but clean. Average “hotel” breakfast consisting of waffles, toast and bagels, eggs & sausage, etc. front desk staff was very helpful with questions and checking in our entire team at once. Next to Chick fil et , Wendy's and a few shops.
Great hotel! Nice and clean! Friendly customer service. We left another hotel that we had booked in advance. Jason made us feel welcome and helped with our point issue! The kids enjoyed the pool. I would recommend for anyone!
Nice staff, near Kings Island. Staff was anything but super polite. Bed was comfortable, AC was Alright. We stayed for three nights, housekeeper forget to clean our room on the second night. Bathroom was clean
This hotel is very convenient to restaurants and shopping. It is also close to Cincinnati. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly and pool is nice and clean. Price was a great value. I would stay here again if in the area.
Stayed here for 2 nights while in Cincinnati to visit Newport Aquarium, the Cincinnati Zoo, and go Outlet shopping. The hotel is very centrally located to lots of dining options as well as shopping and highway options. The hotel is across the street from Chik-Fil-A and down the street from Graeters for dessert. The room was clean and quiet. The beds were fine, we had enough pillows, the tv worked, and we didn't hear our neighbors. The room is dated. The toilet handle needed to be held down to fully flush. The bathroom is tiny. There is no drying rack for wet bathing suits. The paint is chipping, especially from the ceiling. However, my biggest complaint was the mold growing on the inside of the shower curtain. I can deal with everything else but that's such an easy fix that should be fixed. Breakfast was good. They had cereal, waffles, yogurt, hot sausage and eggs, breads, pastries, juices, coffee, and oatmeal. The woman staffing the breakfast area was working her butt off! She did not let anything go empty. She was also friendly and said hello and waved at my kids. Kudos to her for working so hard. We used the pool twice. It's your normal small hotel indoor pool that was heated. There is a handicap lift next to the pool that is rusty and sticks out over the pool. We tried to move it over so my kids did not jump into it or walk into it when getting into the pool but it swung right back over the pool. We just had to make sure we didn't go near it. I think that's something small that should be fixed as well. Overall, this was a nice place to stay and we'd consider staying here again. We've stayed here once before in 2015 and enjoyed our stay so much that we came back. I think we'd come back again if the price was good.
We booked this hotel as the first leg of a multiple stop trip. Bed was comfortable. Air conditioner worked well. There was a slight stale towel smell, not sure if it was from the curtain or the shower curtain. Getting hot water in the shower took some figuring out. We would book here again if we were to ever go back to Kings Island.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. It located near many different stores and restaurants. The hotel is clean a little old but a good value as long as you don't expect luxury. We have stayed here for several years and each time it gets better. This was the most enjoyable
Great Hotel. Everybody was so nice and we had a large group. The manager Rush was so helpful and we had a great rate! We had to leave another hotel (not the Best Western) due to them raising the rate which they said they would not do. Best Western came in and helped us out so much. Hotel was clean, rooms clean, all around a great hotel.
After a long day of travelling, we stopped at this hotel to get a rest. Attendant was inexperienced but willing to help. Our room was on the lower level and it was appreciated. Breakfast was served as expected. Room was clean and comfortable. Good quality for the price.
Very pleasant experience and stay! I really dislike staying at hotels I've never stayed at before but this was a pleasant surprise. We pulled up and the property looked very nice. The check in was quick and the gentleman was pleasant. The room was very clean and inviting! Beds and pillows were very comfortable and shower head was excellent. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons. 1. The breakfast was pretty standard as free hotel breakfasts go but the eggs left some to be desired. 2. The pool wasn't up and running. Luckily the gentleman at check in told me up front and we weren't planning on using it this trip anyway. We will be staying at this property again if in the area. Best Western as a whole has really stepped up their game.
This was priced very well. The staff was fantastic. The rooms were very clean and quite. Great location close to many activities. The breakfast that comes with the room was fantastic, they have a waffle maker and fresh fruit all you could want for a nice relaxing meal.Check in was easy as was booking online.
Cleaners just tidy up the room to give an overall fake 'clean' appearance. Hot breakfast, but one of the yogurt cups I took had mold in it. An ancient rug in the lobby which gave me negative impression as soon as I checked in.
We stayed here on a Thursday evening and the BW was completely full with a tour bus group and some golfers. The property is well maintained, very clean and has an indoor pool, work out center and a nice dining area for their free breakfast. The front office staff were very pleasant, informative and efficient at check-in. We used the automated checkout, which saves time when one is departing. There are many dining choices nearby and access to the interstate is easy and closeby. I would stay here again and have no hesitation in recommending it to others. Total costs, including taxes was $86.
Very nice hotel, location was very convenient to the interstate, staff very helpful and personable. Quality of the breakfast could be better (eggs). Only stayed one night, but overall would stay again.
Enjoyed our stay. The staff was very accommodating. The hotel was clean. Breakfast was adequate but free. The were 20 of us and the Manager helped us with breakfast in opening early as we had an early tee time. parking was very well lit. We felt secure.
Room 309 had FRESH stained sheets and a filthy, hair filled bathroom and tub. The pool was littered with trash, wet towels and cigarettes in a non-smoking facility. My daughter and grandson had a rash from the swimming amenities. I got them out of there as fast as possible, notified the health department and Best Western corporate. No front desk staff, when confronted with concerns from a mother and her special needs small son, should EVER laugh at a guest and diminish her concerns regarding cleanliness and the sanitary appearance of a rented room.
Mattress sagged in the middle. Stay away from the end rooms (219), It is very small. Otherwise our stay was acceptable. Nothing extraordinary, just average. Thought the cost was a little high at $135. Feel that for that price it should have been a=above average. Might stay there again, might not.
Our room was very nice but I'm a germ freak and there was hair under the covers of one of the beds in our room. We told the front desk about and they said they would be up to change the bedding but they never came up. Luckily, we didn't need the other bed to sleep on. Silver lining, breakfast was great.
safe area with shopping and restaurants. jungle jim's, ikea not far away. Loveland castle is close. kings island is also close. comic book/magic the gathering stores are also close by. 20 min to down town Cincinnati
The good - nice breakfast; friendly staff The bad - room carpet needed better cleaning; dirty hand prints on sheer curtain The ugly - the commode had a small amount of human waste on the outdide and the inside of the bowl had ugly looking stains. Had to get the manager to get the outside cleaned, but inside remained the same.
Great hotel and great location. Front Desk Staff was very accomodating. Even though my check in was at 4 am the front desk attendant was able to find a room for me. I would definately stay at this hotel again.
The hotel is great, the amenities are great, the breakfast lacks bacon but Debbie (I hope that's her name) makes breakfast great! She's so friendly and makes sure you have everything you need! Definitely coming here again!
I would definitely recommend this Best Western for anyone traveling in this area. It is conveniently located to Kings Island and "The Beach" water park, but we were there in the "off season," and the property was well-maintained and good for a comfortable night's sleep.
Our church men go to a retreat in Mason yearly in January. This particular hotel has been redone and is a great value. Complex is in a great location. Close to shopping, restaurants and Kings Island. Has an indoor pool and good breakfast
This hotel was quite comfortable and convenient to the highway. It was clean although some areas could use refreshing and minor repairs. It was close to several restaurants. Parking was convenient. Would stay here again
This hotel was one of the best hotels I stayed at the floors were very clean the bathrooms were very clean everything was in place and in order I was able to check in early the customer service was excellent I would recommend anybody to stay here coming from out of town they are very nice
We got 3 rooms for one night, their staff were very nice and answered all the questions we had. they were also able to accommodate us to have the three rooms by each other. It was very quite and clean. we enjoyed our stay and if we ever go by that area again i would differently get a room in this location.
I really wanted to like this hotel. I arrived on a snowy afternoon with a bunch of stuff to carry in. No big deal I would just make two trips. The room I was assigned was all the way at the end of the building. Great, I'll just go out the side door. You can't go out the side door. You are literally locked in. I had to walk down the 1st floor hallway and out the front door to my car that was parked on the side of the building. Then walk back to the front door to take the slow old elevator to the 3rd floor. No way to take steps. As far as I could tell this place did not have a fire exit, or at least it was not obvious. This was my biggest concern. Not the extra walking, but do these doors unlock if we need to evacuate? The ice machine on the 3rd floor was not working. I needed to take an elevator for ice. No big deal but I'm annoyed at this point. The bedding. The bedding was basically a fleece blanket sandwiched between two sheets. It was 6 degrees outside. I've stayed at cheaper places with better bedding than this. It did not help that the heater made an awful noise while on. My options were a screeching noise or be chili. The next time I'm in the area I will spend a bit more money for a different hotel. They just did not try.
Very nice hotel for a short stay. Room was very confortable, clean and nicely decorated. Brand new mattresses guarantee you a great sleep. Usual BW breakfast that includes scrambled eggs, waffles, bread, and juice.
Great value and location. Bathroom corners of the floors could be cleaned better. Other than that. Very satisfied. Staff was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Would stay here again. Easy off and on access from interstate.
While the hotel itself is a little out of date and the elevator shows some damage, over all our stay was good. Our room was clean when we arrived, it was a little cold but warmed up nicely. Our cable didn't work at first but we were able to figure out the box was unplugged and we fixed that issue. The big downfall was the hot tub jets didn't work but that was very minor. The kids enjoyed the pool which was what mattered. Housekeeping knocked on the door at 9am and woke us up, that was a little upsetting but again, very minor. Would definitely stay again
We had a really good time. Rooms were clean and very presentable Breakfast was good .I had 3 rooms and all 3 of them were great. My only issue was I needed to rent a Room for someone with a disability but did not have that option online
Before reservation was made told hottub not working but would be, before our stay. Hottub was not working during our stay. Only reason booked this hotel was having a heated pool and hot tub for the family. The breakfast was ok, needed a few more fresh fruit choices. Check in was a little slow think a new person, they asked for my payment when I had all ready paid online in full. The lobby smelled like cigarette smoke coming in.Room was clean, no noise. The entire pool ceiling was dripping water.
A large group of us staid for the CC meet. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Breakfast had a good variety and was served on time. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. Hotel was located right off the main street, on a traffic light, so easy to find and access.
This is usually our favorite hotel to stay at. If we would have known the jacuzzi was broke/ out of order we would have not stayed. Also the gentleman who works breakfast, needs to be fired. Horrible customer service both days. He did nothing but stay on his cell phone the whole entire time and my son have to keep interrupting him by asking him for more food to put out. There were no Forks, orange juice was out, chocolate chips were out, the eggs were watery, sausage was out and when we did get that sausage it was not cooked all the way and was also watery. It was just plain horrible.
This is a very clean and well appointed hotel. Great breakfast! Very courteous staff! This hotel is located very close to several good restaurants and to shopping. This hotel is very reasonably priced with good value for the cost.
great place to stay. very close to the highway. very close to places to eat. very close to banks and gas stations. very close to stores and shopping malls. exit ramps are right there for easy convenience as to off and on.
I was recently at this hotel for a two-night stay very nice accommodations. Very good selection of breakfast, breakfast area nice and clean. Enjoy the indoor pool area. Met the general manager Mr Jones at our check-in seems like very responsible manager wanting to make sure that all of his guests had a good stay. Mr. Jones was also their upon our check out and ask how I wish they was. I will stay here again anytime I am in the area
Needed a hotel for one night on the way home. Close to highway and a lot of restaurants. Hotel is a little dated. Breakfast was just ok. Not a lot of choices. Nice pool and hot tub. A few loud and rough guests made if difficult to enjoy the pool.
We quite enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. It was located in an area with lots of shopping and restaurants. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay at this hotel again if in the area.
I stayed at this hotel 3 nights and it was in a great location and convenient to everything I needed. Lots of great restaurants and shopping surrounded the hotel. The hotel staff was great, very welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. The room was clean and spacious. My only complaint was the WiFi did not work consistently in my room, which was very frustrating. When I noted this to the gentleman who checked me out, he went above and beyond to make up for it.
I've stayed at this Best Western several times. The staff is always friendly and helpful; the rooms clean, quiet, and comfortable. Price is reasonable. The continental breakfast is the usual fare, but of a slightly better quality than some other (including more expensive) chains. Coffee and hot water/tea service are always available in the breakfast area. This last trip the Internet service was a bit finicky one morning, but the front desk was helpful in resolving this issue. Would definitely recommend.
Low rates and immaculately clean room that are well furnished. Wireless internet works great. Nice breakfast and many decent restaurants - some of which are within walking distance. Kind, caring staff and a manager who has deep pride in his hotel.
Room is fine for a couple of nights. Breakfast has yogurt and packages of oatmeal that are edible. Eggs and sausages are nasty and bananas are green everyday. Coffee very weak. One treadmill that skips so can be dangerous. If you just need a bed and a light breakfast, this could worrk
Pros: Nice hotel, clean rooms, clean bathrooms. It was also pretty quiet when I was there. Nice neighborhood - close to lots of shops and restaurants/fast food. Con: Carpet in the rooms needs to go - old and stained in some places
The rate was good, the room was large. The condition of the bathroom & the carpet was bad. We placed 3 calls to the front desk before the mold in the toliet was cleaned. We had to request & keep a plunger in the bathroom all weekend.
Very nice hotel at a reasonable price. The rooms were clean and the staff was very accommodating. The breakfast wasn't bad, but the person taking care of it was in no hurry to restock anything, but it's free, so.... anyways, we would stay again.
Stayed at the property for one night while attending an event at the Kings Island thrill park. The motel is reasonably priced with an orderly lobby, clean rooms (one exception noted below), and well kept grounds. Check-in was quick and easy. The front desk attendant was polite and friendly. My room was on the first floor and I was struck by how high ceilings were (I would estimate 10'). This made the room feel more spacious and open than a typical motel where rooms are more like small, cramped boxes. My only complaint would be the sour shower curtain. It was horribly soured and the strong smell permeated out of the shower/toilet area well into the sink/mirror area of the room. I don't know why the curtain would not have been replaced by house keeping as it is clearly in need of it. I did not use the indoor pool and I did not sample the breakfast provided by the motel each morning, so I am not able to review those.
We were a little surprised to find the room only had one queen bed. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The breakfast was the typical continental. The strange part came when we went to check out. The front desk personnel didn't seem to know how to award us the Best Western points and said we were not entitled to them because we booked through Expedia? He also would not give us a receipt for the same reason. When I asked if there was a ladies room on the main floor he said no but said there was a bathroom. Otherwise our stay was fine.
I really enjoyed my stay - super friendly front desk staff, an ever so attentive fellow takes care of your every need in the breakfast room. Wonderful, king-sized bed, refrigerator & microwave. Had a VERY quiet room just steps from the lobby. Housekeeping did an excellent job. ONLY complaint...no automatic front doors & I struggled mightily to get through to check in. Have conveyed my concerns to BW...they have handicapped rooms, EVEN a chair lift into the pool BUT...if you can't get thru the front door...? LOTS of stores nearby, large assortment of restaurants (just do NOT go to the Red Robin (yech)). Only about 5 minutes to Kroger's (grocery) and a top-notch store.
The toilet was running. I asked for it to be fixed and it never was. I had to fix it myself. No WIFI signal in room. I checked and would have had signal if I moved toward the elevator. I could not get signal on Ipad or phone. TV did not work at all
We found this hotel to suit our needs splendidly for location and ease in access to all the things we came to the Cincy area for, which were bike trail riding, new restaurants, and other life experiences. Great staff!
the rooms are clean. We were happy with the price. everyone working at the hotel was pleasant. We enjoyed visiting Loveland castle which is less than 3 miles away. there is plenty of shopping and restaurant choices close by.
I was part of a group that stayed at the Best Western, and we all really enjoyed our time with the hotel. The rooms were nice and clean, the beds comfortable, the staff helpful, and the food good. Our stay couldn't have been better!!
My wife and I stayed here on a recent trip to the Cincinnati area. We were very pleased with the accommodations. The room was very nice with fresh crisp linens and all the things we look for. My only suggestion was having a card with the TV channel listings. The onscreen guide was difficult to navigate. The breakfast was one of the best we have experienced. Many will still complain, but for a "continental" breakfast it was above and beyond most. Often times my wife and I, after checking out the breakfast, will go elsewhere for a "real" breakfast. We didn't feel the need here. Scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles and the rest of the usual items were available. One of the things that impressed me the most was the coffee service. The coffee was available anytime I wanted it. I have had better coffee but usually in a motel coffee service is spotty at best. I also liked the fact that coffee cups were normal size and lids were available. The staff was very accommodating and we would not hesitate to stay here in future visits to the area.
Loved our king suite. Thanks for adding more curtains as I requested last year. I wasn't bothered by the outside light this year. Slept comfortable both nights. Please add 2 more waffle makers. The lines were out th door with everyone waiting to use the waffle maker. One is just not gone cut it. Staff did great keeping everything restocked. Gret variety for free breakfast. Enjoyed pool and hot tub. Time to deep clean carpet in suites. The carpet was a little dirty. Great hotel and staff. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The kids loved having their own tv and we loved having a door to the king bedroom for privacy. Plan to return next year. Referred my dad 2 days later who was from Arkansas attending a convention in Cincinnati. He loved his suite also. Great location.
Hotel was in an excellent location for the kings island park. Numerous restaurants nearby. Close to the zoo and shopping. Breakfast was average. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms could use a remodel and could be a little cleaner. We found items in the room from previous guests
Nice, super clean, love how sink area is separate from toilet shower area. a ton of restaurants nearby, easy on to interstate, the bed was oddly set up very high, like dont fall out high. but hey we are good, would come again.
Stopped here on our way to KY, nice hotel. We used the pool and hot tub, both were enjoyable. Breakfast was very nice. Room was clean and modern. Will def stay here again. Front desk staff were very helpful when checking in and when I had issues connecting to wifi.
We were pleased with our stay the staff was awesome they refunded us for one night when we had to leave early what a blessing and location for us was perfect great night sleep the breakfast was adequate and coffee deliscious
We were quite surprised at the cleanliness and affordability of this hotel. The staff was very friendly & breakfast was much better than the standard hotel fare. The bed was very firm, which is my only minor complaint.
We booked our room just one night ahead for a 2 night stay. We are Best Western rewards members and have stayed at several. The price was good. As soon as we checked in, there was one of a few downpours along with thunder and lightning. The parking lot was like a river in front during the storms, I got soaked moving our truck to the back lot. Wifi was very poor, it worked a little but the worst I've ever seen in a hotel. If you put your device at the door to the room, you might be able to download a Netflix show to watch in bed. There were fire alarms on our first night at about 5pm, 8pm, and 9pm. We were unaware of the first because we were out to dinner. The 2nd was scary because we have never been in a building for a fire alarm. We grabbed wallets, electronics, and ran down the stairs and outside- luckily it was between downpours. The Fire Dept came and we were told after about 15 mins to go back inside. It happened again an hour later and my son called the front desk and we were told we could stay inside. I did not want to stay here but the next closest affordable room I researched was 40 mi away. Most places were sold out, too expensive or poorly rated and we were there just to go to Kings Island. The room was familiar and clean, fridge but no freezer, microwave. Breakfast was fine for a Best Western, plenty of food options and they kept filling up 10 minutes before it ended. We had hopes of using the indoor pool but never quite had the time.
very convenient .....very clean...great waffles...but pricey because of a Tennis Event..which had nothing to do with my visit...bathroom so small....walk in shower would be a great addition...no one uses bathtubs.........
This hotel could do a lot better for customers. The bed sheets are worn, carpet dirty and overall interior of hotel really old and dirty. To be in a high business area where many travelers stay, I expect more and better quality. It looks and feels too much of a motel and not hotel. Take a page out of Hampton Inn playbook and learn from their model. I wouldn't stay again.
Housekeeping left the door to my room open while my family was gone for the entire day. Staff was not concerned when I reported the issue. I was told management would call me, but I never received a call. Nobody ever came up to check my room or see the issue with the door. The hotel simply did not care that my belongings were left unattended.
Stayed here two nights for a trip to Kings Island. Hotel is in a fantastic location in the middle of all the hustle and bustle, which we like. There are six restaurants within walking distance and many others as well as shopping very close to the hotel. We stayed on the second floor, booked a double queen room. I was disappointed with the following...the window in our room was dirty on the inside with what looked like dried condensation spots and should have been obvious to housekeeping as well as water in the ice bucket, a small shelf in the bathroom coming apart from the wall and the telephone looked liked it had not been wiped off in months. If ever. I did report these upon checkout. Everything else in the room was good though! Beds were very comfy and furniture and bathroom were clean. The staff we encountered were all friendly and attentive but were not wearing any type of uniform, just street clothes which we thought unprofessional. Lastly, we were most disappointed with the breakfast. This hotel had the least variety of any continental breakfast I've ever seen. The area was packed both mornings with families and they were very busy trying to keep everything filled. We ended up going across the street to Chick-Fil-A.
We booked this hotel for a one-night stay. The location was convenient - right off of the highway and in an area with many restaurant options. The price was fair but our welcome not very friendly. The room (one queen bed) was small but was clean and had comfortable bedding. We were given the last room in the hallway near a side entrance which was at times noisy; construction work at a neighboring property on that side of the hotel created noise very early on Saturday morning. The breakfast area was very spacious and both hot / cold items were available. Our stay being so brief, we did not try other amenities (pool, fitness area, ...).
Priced very good and everything was clean and nicely laid out. Great location and easy to get to. Breakfast wasn't anything out of the ordinary, but everything else was better than expected. All employees were very friendly and helpful!
We used tripadvisor for this hotel. It looked great until we looked at the charges after we got home from our trip. 2 of the 3 night rates were normal, but the 3rd night (Fri) was over 2 times the normal rate. Calling the motel and emailing were no help. Other than the excessive rate, the Mason Inn was good.
Just passing through . Needed a night stop very good staff ,older hotel but reasonably priced. Would use again if I am in the neighborhood. Close to several restaurants many are in walking distance through parking lots so no need to walk next to traffic.
After we found bed bugs in our first hotel (red roof inn), I called for a last minute room at best western. The front desk staff (I believe his name was Evan) was WONDERFUL. He worked with me to book their last room for the night. He was extraordinarily pleasant and professional. The pool area was nice. There was a hot tub as well. Breakfast had many options. The beds were comfortable. A nice sized tv was in the room as well. The rooms looked up well kept. I had no complaints about my stay and I'm pleased with the hotel.
Awesome Managers! From the moment Giana took over our booking to help our large group of students, parents and coaches, we were truly taken care of with the best of service. We feel we got a good deal on our stay and we were close to everything we needed. Everyone was very pleased with the variety of choices at breakfast and the clean open room in which to eat. We will bring our crew back next time too!
Looked like the ac unit had black mold growing on it and you could see where they had done patch work on the wall sheets were rough pillows were not comfortable. Breakfast was ok need bacon instead lol
This is a great place to stay and very convenient to everything! We usually stay at this hotel everytime we come to Cincinnati. It is always clean and friendly. The staff is always nice and makes sure we had everything we needed during our stay.
Great rooms; fair price; super helpful staff. Excellent stay. The only issue we had was that the pricing had changed to almost $30 per night, over the course of one day, and we were not able to secure the precious rate.
Everything was great about the stay. Was not aware off the deposit you have to pay upon arrival. For the price you pay to stay here that was unexpected I can understand having a card on while but not to charge it then refund it is excessive
We love the room and the decor. There wasn't a lot of noise, it was pretty quiet. The people at the desk were nice and helpful. The room was clean when we got there and the next day it needed a little more cleaning but it still was fine for the stay.
Very nice place to stay. Rooms were clean, beds were descent, and staff was great. Anything they could help you with they would give it their full effort. Only a few small issues; jacuzzi was not very warm, pool water was a bit cold, & sausage was not very good. Jacuzzi & pool issues were probably temporary issues that just happened to pop up while we were there. I would recommend this place to anyone. Thumbs up. Staff at the front desk were top of the line.
Pros- The location is great, both for restaurants and for Kings Island. The upkeep and cleanliness was good. The beds were decent size and comfortable. The sink is seperate and outside of the bathroom, so it can be used if someone is showering or using the toilet. Cons- The free breakfast was not very good. They have a decent variety, but the scrambled eggs were bland and watery. The milk was warm and the donuts were always small and hard. Also, the indoor pool is tiny. The gym is ok.
Me and my boyfriend recently stayed two nights here to attend kings island. I was surprised that the price was so low, especially since it is 4th of July weekend. The hotel was not perfect. There were a few things in our room that looked like they might have not been cleaned in a while. For example, the mirrors were rather dirty, and the inside of the lamp shades had some pretty weird stains on them that I noticed while laying in bed looking up at them. Also, the Wi-Fi didn't work either night we stayed, which was a big negative. However, for the price and location, it is a great option when visiting the area. For the most part it was clean, the staff was friendly, and kings island is less than 10 minutes away.
Very nice hotel for the price, and very close to KINGS ISLAND about 4 miles away. Complementary breakfast was very accommodating and satisfying. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Only question is they required a $100.00 security deposit after I already paid for the room. Forgot to ask if they return that or not, over all I would recommend staying here if your going to KINGS ISLAND. Very pleased.
Clean and comfortable. Staff very nice. Recommend this to anyone and would stay again. Our stay was short as we arrived after 11pm and left early the next morning so did not get to use much of the amenities.
A fair price, a clean room, a firm bed, a decent continental breakfast, and a courteous staff: these words define my experience at this hotel. The property is not a stunner, and the room was perhaps a little smaller than those of most Best Western accommodations I have visited. But I left satisfied knowing that I had rested well and had received a good value. While there are some fancier hotels nearby, they come to you courtesy of a $20-$50 additional daily cost. Good job, Best Western Mason Inn..
Kings Island for Spirit Song. The hotel was fantastic. The employees were so good! We will stay there next summer!! Or any other trips we may make in the Mason area. We loved the breakfast. Choices were perfect!
We like the location, stayed for a few nights first off at first glance the room looked clean but the toilet was dirty around the top of the rim a black ring all the way around, pool was good but the hot tub was not hot, the bed was so hard I felt like I was sleeping on the floor, the breakfast was just ok the best thing was the price.
This hotel is about 4 miles from Kings Island. The room was perfectly clean- the most important thing for me! The free breakfast was good, nothing spectacular, but good to fill the belly before heading to the park. Several restaurants are walking distance from the hotel. Join the free rewards program and get a discount on your room when making reservations. I would stay again!
The hotel was a very solid, not spectacular stay for us. Check in was fairly easy, and parking was easy to find however, my one complaint was that the employee at the check-in didn't indicate which end of the building our room was on so unfortunately we walked up three flights of stairs with our bags, on the opposite end of the building. The room was fine, single queen bed, decent sized bathroom, and a large mini-fridge. Overall, the room was a bit small, but that could have been because we were on the very end with the stairs cutting into the room a bit. This wasn't a huge deal because we were out and about most of the two days we stayed here. My biggest complaint about the room was that the mirror on the front of the bathroom door was really dirty, like someone had sneezed on it multiple times. The breakfast was good, they had a pancake maker which was a welcome surprise.Overall I would give the hotel a 3.75/5 nothing spectacular but above average.
This is my second stay at this hotel and it did not dissapoint. Staff was friendly. Got a comfortable night I recommend this place as a great alternative to any 3 star hotel in the area. Clean, easy access, well maintained property. Do not hesitate.
The hotel was very close and convienant to everything!! I will probably stay here aging next month with my son.. Beds were very comfortable.,staff was very nice and the hotel was extremely quiet and the rooms were clean!!!
This is a mediocre hotel. Bathroom is tiny not even hooks to place clothes. Sort of creepy closet. Breakfast offered was above average. The elevator was very very slow and we ended up walking the stairs. I would stay here again if I again needed space for a 3rd person in a room
Kind of shocked this hotel is ranked above others that appear to be much nicer. The rooms are oddly laid out with extremely tiny bathrooms. Looks like they redid the bedroom portion but left outdated colors on the walls in the bathroom area. Everything was clean and it's worth a visit, but other area hotels have to be better for not much more. Big saving grace was the front desk staff, super nice. Would stay again, but not without checking nearby locations again for compairable rates.
The hotel was not new but the staff made the visit enjoyable. The front desk staff were excellent. Only slight negative is with the pool inside the chlorine was pretty strong. Also because of the pool inside the floor was wet at times. But overall nice stay.
Patricia was wonderful! Easy check-in, great breakfast, nice location, great price! The staff was accommodating, beds were comfortable. We could not have asked for better service. We will definitely be staying again next year!
The pool and hot tub were the main reason that we chose this hotel, and it did not disappoint. Everyone I came in contact with was polite and helpful. Check in took about 5 minutes. Breakfast was nice and the lobby had computers and a printer, which was great to print off tickets to a game we were going to. Will be staying here again next time I am in the area.
We were very pleased with our stay at the Best Western in Mason. We had no issues. We will definitely stay again. The staff was very professional and friendly. The room was clean. The hot tub was very relaxing.
we often go to Mason to see my wife's mother in a nursing home, so sometimes we're feeling down. But when we come to Mason's Best Western, we always feel lifted up. The staff is always friendly and very helpful and try their best. We especially enjoy the breakfast they provide. So many items to choose and since we're there several days, we get to try everything. Also, I like the hot tub which makes everything go better. Try it. Best Western gives us a lift!
I love my stay in this hotel. Room is clean and modern. Bed and pillows are very comfortable. It has free breakfast. I love the waffles, egg and sausage. The only bad thing is nobody help me with lugage.
You get what you pay for. Sprayed a chemical to disinfect the place. Tough to communicate with workers who were helpful but couldn't help in areas like breakfast or asking help for destinations we were interested in locally.
Another great stay at another great Best Western. Quick check. in. Good breakfast selection. Clean room. Very comfortable bed! Made the reservation online, the room was ready 30 minutes later when I arrived.
Over all we were ver pleased with the say. The hotel was very nice for the price. We were given a handicapped accessible room however that we did not request, when asked if we could please move to a room with a bath tub we ever denied. He said we could move for 15 dollars more. That was unacceptable, since we did not ask for that room to begin with. They incident however was just that desk representatives and not a picture of our total stay.
great stay, excellent location. a lot of places to eat and shop. not far from anything. just off the highway. easy off and easy to get back on.away from the dowmtown area, which is good for travelers.clost to king's island if your going.
I've had the need to visit the Cincinnati over the last few years due to my stepson attending the University of Cincinnati. I tried other hotels, but always come back to this one. The property is well maintained, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable. It is conveniently located near restaurants, and the interstate and a short drive to the university. We arrived early on the day of arrival and the desk clerk cheerfully allowed us to check in.
This motel meet my needs! Very clean and convenant to much food and Kings Island. Everything worked well. Hot shower, refrigerator and Microwave Oven. Good Security. I would recommend to stay at this Best Western Motel. Thanks
would recommend this hotel to anyone. conventlly located off the interstate. the staff was friendly and helpful. the breakfast was plentiful for everyone. the rooms are good size and the place is ckean. the appearance outside is ok
For the most part I had a great stay. The front desk was always friendly. On Friday our room was never cleaned. I let them know at the front desk on our way out for the evening and it still was not taken care of. I had to extend our room for a night due to a funeral. I was told when I extended it that the room rate I had booked at would be extended as well. I was not feeling well the day we left and we were on our way to a funeral. When I looked at the billing at home I saw instead of the rate of 52.49 I was billed 69.99. This is a significant difference.
Excellent staff, clean room, great bed and pillows, and good hot breakfast. A safe environment for a single person. It was a pleasure to stay at this hotel again! When I'm back this way in the future, I will be sure to book a room again.
Good hotel on the North Side. Just passing through for the night but it was definitely a nice place to stay and an especially good value for a Hotwire deal. Rooms were updated and spacious. Lots of food options nearby
I chose it as it was located near my office . The breakfast was quite good and the room was very neat and tidy. The parking was also very spacious. The staff was always ready to help and I has a very comfortable stay.
Clean, comfortable, helpful and courteous front desk. Glad we chose this hotel. It was located by numerous restaurants and well situated for all the sights we were interested in. Breakfast choices were fine and the area was clean and well kept.
Was not expecting much from the price, but this was a great value. I was greeted by very friendly staff. Room was clean and nicely decorated (nice high beds). Pool and hot tub looked just the same as pictures. Breakfast was good, had several hot selections. Check-out staff was just as friendly. Would definitely stay again.
Even after reading all the other excellent reviews, I was not sure that a hotel in this price would be that great. It was. I was especially impressed with the kind, attentive staff. Very clean cut. The room was very clean, nicely decorated, and I liked the high beds. A great place to relax after a day at King's Island.
I enjoyed myself and usually when I want to get away or have my son with me we stay here. Always nice for the price. Very reasonably priced hotel. We did not use the pool or hot tub was glad it was there in case we did.
Checked in late after ki samantha checked us in supper helpful and friendly we told her we had to be up early that we would miss breakfest that is when she told us that she normally has breakfast done a half hour early
I had a pleasant experience at the Best Western. Staff were helpful and the location is pretty good. Rooms were average. Very odd that the basin is separate to the bathroom. I probably wouldn't stay here again as there are better options for the same price but nonetheless not a bad choice.
Room was not clean, toilet seat loose, couch had food stuck on it, curtains blocked HVAC. Hotel is old and in need of refurbishing. There appeared to be no uniform on employees to identify them from guests.
when i walked in i was very nicely greeted by two young gentlemen behind the counter. My room was great, no issues at all. Close to restaurants and highway. I will stay thereagain and i recomend everyone else does.
My husband and I check in to this hotel on Sunday 9/25 -9/28 this hotel needs some updates done the reviews we read prior to booking LOOKED ok but upon checking into the room it was not the at all what the picture say they are, the bath room shower had this attachment to it we had never seen before, there was a dirty curtain for the door were you would hang your clothes the towels had hair in the towels when I dried off. beside the bathroom door looked as it had never seen a vacuum, the sink is outside the bath, the toilet is very low to the floor. We checked out on Wednesday and stayed at a different hotel
This hotel was excellent. The front desk staff was extremely helpful. The hotel was located near Kings Island, restaurants, West Chester, interstates 1-71, 275, and 1-75. It had an easy access to Cincinnati. We had no problems getting home after the WEBN Fireworks.
Great place, great staff, breakfast free and great variety, close to Kings Island . Enjoyed our King Suite and kids loved having their own TV. Bathroom is very tiny but not a deal breaker. Nice to have a microwave and mini fridge. My recommendation only is to replace the sheer curtain in the bedroom. The light shining through my bedroom kept waking me up. Other than that we had a great trip!!
We`ve stayed at Best Western in Wytheville heading for the Carolina`s, this was the nicest, cleanest & best breakfast buffet of the 2 places. Absolutely will stay here again. Also the shower we took was the best we`ve had. We would recomend Best Western to all of our friends, as this one in Mason, Ohio came reccomended to us.
Had a very comfortable and overall very acceptable 9 days at Best Western Mason Inn. Same Continental Breakfast as most other similar hotels. Not many healthy choices but I get spoiled by the breakfast selection at European hotels. Wish that there would be hard boiled eggs and scrambled eggs made from real eggs and not powder. Beds super comfortable and room very nice and clean. Front desk very helpful and kind. Internet connection was OK. A bit weak. Pool and jacuzzi great. Will definitely stay here next time in Cincy
A good place north of Cincinnati. Many good restaurants nearby and walking distance. Excellent rooms with good beds and excellent large screen tv. Many premium channels available. Nice indoor pool with open wall for summer months. Good exercise room.
Hotel is very good, I am evaluating service, house keeping also pool is good and it is internal. It is very close to King Island around 6 miles from 71 Hwy to north. No to much properly to said but it is in the quality expected per Best Western. One more stuff breakfast is very good and area is clean all time is one person checking if something is require and cleaning.
Everything was great on my 2 night stay in town for a nephews wedding. Staff was friendly and went over and above to make the stay great. Breakfast was very good with many options hot and cold foods and juices/coffee. Room was very clean, updated and comfortable. Did not use pool or fitness rooms but others did as I was walking by and saw them. One of the best hotel stays I've had and I've traveled a lot !!!
Very nice hotel; well maintained. Room was very good and complimentary breakfast was good. Located close to shopping and restaurants with easy access to and from the Interstate highway. This last statement is to reach the mandatory 200 characters.
Rooms great, staff very friendly and helpful, they made a point to ask if the room was acceptable . Great continental breakfast. Nice pool, would stay again. Two suggestions, automatic doors and a couple benches outside. Otherwise great
The hotel was only a few exits away from the tennis venue. It is your typical value hotel, although I thought the rate was too high for the quality of the product. The hotel seemed like it needed a good cleaning-the staleness smell was the first thing you noticed. The hotel elevator (and lobby) was wet from people using the pool (a few ladies got into the small elevator with their dripping wet bathing suits and bare feet). We checked out the free breakfast in the morning, and opted to eat somewhere else as it did not look that appetizing.
We visited this location on July 21-23,2016. We had a party of 2 families and the hotel accomadated us with adjoining rooms. We had no complaints about our stay and only good things to say about the staff. The man that checked us in (I apologize for not knowing his name) was very nice and helpful with info regarding Kings Island and places to eat. The free breakfast was good, the hotel was clean, and the location was perfect! We'll be back!
I took my family to Kings Island, and by far this was the best choice. The Hotel was very clean and safe, the rooms where clean and the bed felt like home. This would be my 1st choice anytime I am in Ohio.
Needed a hotel close to Kings Island and Best Western fit the bill. Free breakfast, that I would call a step up from a continental breakfast with scrambled eggs, waffles cereal, muffins, donuts along with juice and milk. The room was clean, the pool area was small but nice. Wasn't crowded when we were there. Has restaurants close by and if your going to Kings Island or water parks they are just minutes away. All for a very reasonable price.
Very clean room. Large bed, very comfortable, new bedding. Microwave and frig in room. Hotel staff very accommodating and very nice. Nice selection for breakfast , hot or cold and plenty to choose from. Great location. Would come back anytime.
I travel to Mason, almost every week and try to find better hotel, but always end up with Best Western, Mason. It gives me best value to my money. Hotel is very clean and with nice size swimming pool and gym. Reasonably good hot/fresh and cold breakfast. Staff is really caring and Patti (manager) always take good care of her guest.
Was very clean and smelled good! It is very close to Kings Island but also has Waffle House beside it and an Applebees across the street. Down the street from Steak n Shake so many places to eat no matter what hours it was.
We needed a clean room with a comfortable bed, working WiFI, and a quiet room in an area with lots of restaurants and a Walgreens nearby (for a prescription). This place met all of the criteria. The front desk clerk, Sam, was very helpful and got something that my wife could use to get into the bed (they are higher than most). Speaking of the beds, they had very comfortable pillowtops. Only downsides were no luggage rack (we used the ottoman) and typical motel lighting.
I stayed at the Best Western Mason Inn yesterday while visiting Kings Island. This is a very nice and clean hotel in a great location. It was very quiet, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and it is just a short distance from Kings Island. There are several restaurants close by. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Kings Island.
Was okay for the price. We had a situation with the fire alarm going off at 3 and 5 am due to system failure. It was a bit frustrating that no one came and told any of us waiting outside what was happening, and it wasnt until my husband went in that we found out we could return to our rooms. Also, instead of apologizing at check out we actually had to say something and only then did we receive a discount. Also, tissue bin was used for garbage and when my husband went to get a tissue, he received someone garbage. This was never cleaned. Our other room had four tissues left and was never refilled.
We stayed in this hotel when visiting Cincinnati. About 30 minutes drive to downtown. Close to places to eat and shop. Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Definitely will consider for the future stay.
This hotel is nice. It is close to Kings Island and they offer an OK breakfast bar. They only have an indoor pool and it did close one day while we were there. The beds were very comfortable and the WI-FI service was good during our stay. They sink in the room was very slow to drain.
We loved the location, and the service we received was excellent. We had 4 in our room and only got 3 towels, so we called for more and received them at our room within 5 minutes both days. Free breakfast was the usual, try to go before 8 am as 8:15-9:00 the breakfast room got full with families heading out to KIngs Island and it was hard to find an available chair & table to eat, some people were standing & eating. I must say the lady who was working the buffet did a great job of keeping the food & drink replenished and was pleasant while doing it. We felt it was a a great value for the money and just 4 miles away from Kings Island
Set your alarm a little early so you have some extra time to enjoy the turbo charged shower head. Great pressure—not so it knocks you down and not little needles that hurt when they hit you. Just a good strong spray or, if you choose, a great massage setting. If you've had a hard day on the road, this is reason enough to stop at this hotel. But it also meets the other requirements—clean room, comfortable bed, large TV with a real HD signal. Reliable Wi-fi. Plenty of towels and face cloths. Microwave and refrigerator in the room. The only negative I can mention--and the reason I did not give it a 5 rating--is the air conditioning unit. The unit in the first room was not blowing very hard and making a loud stuttering noise. Brandie, at the front desk, was very understanding and found us another room. That unit was still loud, but not as bad, and it did blow. Management would make this a perfect hotel if they replaced the air conditioner units. And be sure to install units with fans that have an “always on” setting. That's very helpful for sleeping if there is any noise in the hotel and also helpful for folks who are disturbed at night by a fan turning on and off.
A bit expensive for a retiree on a Best Western road trip. This was the 5th or 6th BW on the trip. But when the hotel is full one must take what one is given. Typical BW. Good location for us. Close to restaurants.
We have stayed here several times and are always pleased. The staff is nice and accommodating and the hotel is clean and comfortable. There is an indoor pool. The free breakfast has hot and cold items and is plentiful. Free Wi-Fi is a big plus.
Our first time here after trying many different hotels near Kings Island in the past. The hotel was very nice, clean and quiet plus super close to Kings Island. The complimentary breakfast was also good. I stayed there with my wife and 3 children and I highly recommend it.. One small issue, the fire alarm went off at 3am (false alarm) but after I checked out, Patti the manager gave us a generous discount for our inconvenience without me even asking.
This is a very nice hotel with pleasant rooms and clean. The staff is very friendly. Adequate parking and nice pool area very clean. easy access to the dining area which was well stocked during continental breakfast
I stayed for three nights with a friend from out of town. The management was always super friendly, I interacted with the overnight manager, the afternoon and evening staff and they were always exceptional. Talkative, engaging and so friendly! The free breakfast was quite nice- nothing to write home about, but definitely a step above the usual 'free breakfast buffet'. ...Although they did run out of waffle-mix very early Saturday morning. The room was clean- passed a black-light test, and was well-supplied. My main reason for not marking it five stars, was the walls were far too thin. Two out of the three nights, we got to listen to our neighbor's conversations- and they weren't even shouting. ...However the final night we were there, there was also a group of high school kids (a team or club, possibly?) and they spent a significant amount of time in the room across the hall, making as much noise as possible. Luckily, they settled down around 11:30 at night, and so no interruptions came when trying to sleep. Still, of worth noting if you are a light sleeper!
This was my second stay at this Best Western this summer. I had no problems my first stay so I booked the same hotel for my second visit to the area. During my second visit our room service was poor. When I arrived the room was in good order but rooms were not cleaned (beds made, trash emptied, toilet paper empty) or maintained on a daily basis. I won't book at this hotel again.
We stayed here after visiting Kings Island. Check-in was friendly and fast. The room was roomy, as was the bathroom. The two queen beds were very comfortable and the room was clean and new looking. The breakfast had several cold and hot items. We didn't use the pool and hot tub, but they were indoor and looked inviting. The computer worked for me as did the wifi. We were very happy with our stay and hope to stay there again next time we go to Kings Island.
This hotel is very close to Kings Island and that is the only saving grace to my stay. I was greeted nicely at check in. Our rooms were very clean and newly decorated. The breakfast was very picked over and lacking of healthy items to eat. I did have a very good interaction with the night front desk clerk who allowed our party to stay in the pool 10 mins.longer as we returned to the hotel just minutes before closing one night. Thank you to Katrina for your niceness. I feel the value for the money was a rip off. This is not a $136.00 per night room. I will never stay at this hotel again.
This hotel is about a 5 minute drive from King's Island. It was clean enough for me, and I'm rather picky. The front desk staff was extremely friendly. The continental breakfast was disappointing, but not any different than any other hotel breakfast.
Best Western Mason Inn was very accommodating with reservations and options available for rooms. Their staff is friendly and the facility is clean inside and out. Rooms were clean and there was no outside noise which made sleeping comfortable. Book early there is a lot to do locally.
Stayed here two different times recently. First room smelled like it had been a smoking room some time ago and may have irritated a sensitive person. Was not something we noticed in a different room on our second stay. First room had good AC. During our second stay, we really couldn't get AC to cool the room. WiFi was fine, and I was able to get work done. No luggage rack for setting up your suitcase. Well tended breakfast room. Nice breakfast with sausage links and scrambled eggs that were fresh and actually tasted pretty good as well as waffle maker and selection of juices and minimuffins. The elevator was very slow. Had fun in the indoor heated pool but it did seem like it had a lot of chlorine in it. Very well kept hotel. Will stay here again on our next trip.
We thought the Best Western was well-staffed and the staff was very friendly, too! The breakfast was especially good with delicious scrambled egg and oat meal (but not together!!) We also thought it was good that a staff member was present at the breakfast.
We stayed here while taking our 2 grandsons to Kings Island. Easy to get to the park from this hotel. Awesome staff made our stay very pleasant. Kids had fun playing in the pool when we took a break from the park. Room was clean and we would stay here again.
Stayed here one night while on a road trip. Very pleasantly surprised by the quality of our room and the helpfulness of the staff. What we liked about this motel; - near the highway but no noise - enough parking area for our car pulling a trailer - an incredibly cheerful, helpful front desk staff - close to several restaurants so we could walk to dinner (they also had an extensive list of restaurants in the area) - beautiful indoor swimming pool - pleasant modernized room with sink outside bathroom (makes it quicker for 2 people to get cleaned and dressed in the morning) - nice breakfast room with complete hot and cold offerings
we came in the area just to stop by Kings Island on our way home from Cedar Point - it was easy to find, very nice hotel and affordable. Breakfast was busy and overwhelmed Friday AM but Saturday AM we had a much better experience with breakfast.
I always read the reviews on Trip Advisor, and finally chose this hotel based on price, free breakfast, and free wifi. I always feel nervous until I arrive at the hotel. This Best Western was perfect for my family of 3. We were not disappointed in anything. The beds were comfortable, the room was very clean, the free breakfast was good included hot pancakes, and the front desk staff was friendly. Our room was on the 1st floor and was very quiet. The free wifi had a good connection. We did not utilize the pool or hot tub. However, it looked clean and the area around the pool was clean. This will be my place to stay now. We have season passes to Kings Island, and the hotel is close to the park. Easy drive back and forth.
We have stayed at this property many times over the last 4 years and is our choice to stay when in Cincinnati. The location is easy to find and close to many stores and places to eat. Convenient location for travels in the area.
This hotel had good reviews and was comparable to a couple others close by. We chose this one for the free wifi since another option charged $9.95 for wifi in the room. We also needed a pool for the kids and they enjoyed it but it was SO TINY. A whole team of teenagers was in the hotel at the same time and we only had about 20 minutes in the pool until the team came down and we never got to use it again. Beds were just average. Nice to have microwave and refrigerator in room. Coffee maker was gross so we didn't use it.
Has everything you would want from a hotel. The rooms are very clean, fast WiFi, large TV, easy to control temperature in room, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, indoor pool, hot tub, exercise room, full breakfast, morning newspaper and the beds are very comfortable. Staff is wonderful.
I came into Mason on a photography/thrill-seeking excursion at Kings Island and some of the nearby hiking trails in town. Admittedly, I was a little apprehensive booking a non-Plus Best Western after my last experience at one, but I decided to roll the dice again to see if this one was any better. As my rating would suggest, I was pleasantly surprised. I got in around 9:00 an hour after the park had closed, and after I discovered that attempting to take pictures on the trails was futile. I had a conversation with the front desk clerk who was very helpful and courteous, and when I brought up photography, we even talked about famous photographers who had passed through. Cool stuff. Taking a look around my room on the second floor, I was very pleased with the cleanliness and furnishings. No stains or bugs to be found anywhere. The bathroom was also very neat and clean as well, as has consistently been the case with Best Westerns. The lack of a sleep function for the TV was a little disappointing as I usually like to fall asleep to the tube while I'm on the go. Also, as I was at the very end of the hall near the stairs, a good amount of noise could be heard through the wide shut lines underneath my door, though thankfully, it never got anywhere near the point where I couldn't stand it any longer and had to dial up the front desk to deal with it. Additionally, I had to contend with the parking lot lights that lit up the room. The first night, I actually slept with a stack of two pillows in front of my face to block out the light. The next night however, I discovered the blinds which were hidden behind the curtains and shades. Felt pretty stupid after that. The beds themselves were very comfortable and other than getting around the light issue my first night there, I had no trouble whatsoever falling asleep. As far as amenities go, the hotel has a pool, hot tub, fitness center, and free continental breakfast. The pool and hot tub were considerably better and cleaner-looking than many others I'd seen during my travels, so I had no qualms about using those whatsoever. Chlorine level seemed a bit high as my eyes began to burn after swimming underwater for just a few seconds at a time, though. The fitness center has a weight machine (set up principally for lat pull-downs) and a few cardio machines. As I'm the kind of person who gets most of his leg work and cardio in just walking around parks and hiking trails, I didn't find much use in it, but something's always better than nothing. Breakfast? Well, not much to complain about there either, as it has your waffle makers, yogurt, toast, cereal, English muffins, fruit, and beverage dispensers that are practically cloned from one hotel to another. Not complaining, mind you, as it certainly beats having the hotel charge you for breakfast or having to go out and find it somewhere else. One last thing I'll bring up was that during my two day stay there, I came back from the park after my first night and noticed that housekeeping hadn't gone through my room to replenish or tidy up my room. Not sure if that's standard practice or if it was just an oversight. It isn't a big deal, but I thought I'd mention it anyway. On the whole, I really liked this hotel and would happily stay here again.
This hotel is a good value in this area which is sort of Near Kings Island. The room was basic and of an older design, but clean, quiet and comfortable with free wi-fi that worked reasonably well. The hot breakfast is of the standard for this type of hotel in a pleasant room. Access to and from the hotel is easy and there are multiple restaurants within a short drive.
For years 2014 and 2015, this property has been home to us during the week of annual tennis tournament in Mason. I have never been disappointed - as a matter of fact, have my reservations for this year. Front office staff are very professional and personable. Breakfast is good, however, if you want a different menu, there is a Pancake House almost on the same property - in other words, a quick walk. Though I've never used the pool, everyone appears to be having a grand time when I look in. Room is always clean and fresh. You won't be disappointed. And if you are, go across the street and pay Marriott their crazy prices. BEST WESTERN MASON INN Yay! Yay!
This resort is good for short and long-term accommodation. Nice rooms with everything you need. But it is a shame that they have only American style of breakfast. And still same food every day. For European guests is strange without ham, cheese or more fruits. Still I am satisfied and recommend for next guests.
Clean Hotel, with very helpful staff. Generally all staff is ready help you anyway possible, when needed. Good fresh/hot breakfast. Good indoor pool hot spa. enough parking space. good size conference room. reasonable size gym room.
The location is very convenient to the interstate, it was clean and service was great. with a free hot breakfast and an indoor heated pool and Hot tub, it is a superior stay. PS: the pool is handicap accessible
My hubby and I came to get a night away and had a wonderful evening just relaxing in bed and watching tv. The room was nice and clean, the only thing that I was a little off is it seemed like someone had lowered the temperature on the mini fridge, so it was just slightly chilled. Also, the coffee they give you in the room is awful because of the plastic filter it sets in. The coffee tastes like straight up burnt or melted plastic ??. But other than those two things it was a perfect stay??!!!
This is a nice hotel at reasonable cost. It was clean, comfortable , and with a somewhat average breakfast included. The beds were great with a medium and a soft pillow which I always thought was a nice touch. Mason was an upscale area but seems to be slowly eroding in quality and service which they still expect top dollar for. This hotel, however, charges a reasonable price for a quality stay and is well wort it. Try it. It's quiet too.
Fully met our needs for the family outing and activities. Very close to many attractions within Cinci. Internet was not good at all. However, breakfast was filling and stocked well. They even opened it earlier on Sunday since several of us in our group had an early morning.
The hotel is decent, nice location, good value for the money. Good service and very supporting, friendly staff. I have stayed for 3 weeks and didn't felt any problem with the Best Western property....
I have just started staying at some Best Western Hotels and this one is very good!! The staff starting with Sam who is a front desk clerk and the Mgr Patti are outstanding!! the breakfast lady Alla also is great!! They are very helpfull in anything you need!! I needed a file folder for some business papers no problem they gave me one.. the price during the week was also very fair.. The room was clean the pool is great for kids and the TV has a wide range of options... If you have kids and are going to Kings Island this is a very good place to stay..
My husband is working in Mason, OH. He needed a place to say for 3-4 weeks. Tried another hotel; only stayed 3 nights. Wasn't very nice at all. So he needed me to find him a different place to stay for his 3-4 week "visit". After reading reviews on TripAdvisor (never fails me!) I found this motel. He loves it! The staff is amazing as is the FREE breakfast!! He has to be at the job site by 6:00 am, and the front desk clerk has been setting up the breakfast around 5:30 for him a few other guys who need an earlier (6;00 is stated time) breakfast! And it's not your typical free breakfast. There are hot foods included: eggs and sausage and oatmeal, cereal, toast, bagels, yogurt, fresh fruit etc.! So nice! And since this area is close to a large amusement park, the prices for hotels/motels can be a bit crazy! Sam, the front desk clerk, offered him the corporate rate since he was going to be there for a while! Whatta nice guy! My husband says "it's clean, and nicely updated. The beds are comfortable, the room is spacious. And it's quiet." He gives it a thumbs up!!
The location is good, staff was nice when checking in, we were suppose to have our group all on the same floor and that didn't happen but it work out this time. It was clean and the pool area was nice.
This was the second Best Western I have stayed at in the last 2 months. They have very clean rooms and good service at a reasonable price. There was a large selection of breakfast food which varied each morning some.. They have a nice pool and work out room.
Very clean confortable place.Ron the evening desk manager was most helpful ,finding a place to eat, things around the hotel , the dryer was not working ,I like to wash my things before i pack but just did them at home.
We arrived on Jan. 30th 2016 the staff were very nice and helpful. Our room was awesome and comfortable. They have an indoor pool and hot tub which is always great. But breakfast was great. I have not stayed at a hotel till now that has a hot breakfast for free. It was yummy.
This is a very good Best Western. Would recommend to anyone staying in the Cincinnati area. Convenient to everything. Professional staff, working hot tub, good breakfast. While it's not classified as a BW Plus it certainly could be one.
Clean rooms, great staff!!!!!!! Sam is always friendly at the front desk in the evenings willing to assist with anything. In the mornings Raj always says good Morning. They both call you by name and make you feel like family and more than just a guest. Patti the GM always wants to make sure your stay was wonderful with a smile. A+ team that really cares about not only their job and the hotel, they care about each guest.
This hotel is very quaint. Its clean, comfortable, and quiet. I always sleep so well when I stay here! The breakfast has a large variety of food items, juices, and coffee. I am always very pleased with Best Western
I needed to find a hotel north of Cinncinnati on a Wednesday for a Thursday night stay. Found this Best Western and the price and reviews both sounded really good. I was not disappointed. The location was great and the hotel was more than I could have asked for. The front desk clerk was really nice and helpful at check in. The rooms were clean and nice. I will definitely use this hotel in the future.
I needed to find a quick place to stay due to a burst water pipe in my condo. This Best Western was closest hotel my place and I'm glad I choose it. For the price you can't beat it. The room large, had a microwave and refrigerator. Things I've not had in hotels costing way more. Sam at the front desk was friendly and very helpful. If all Best Westerns are like the one in Mason I will be looking for them on my travels.
everything was clean and comfortable. Staff was very accommodating. I stopped at two other places before Best Western and each was significantly more expensive and both looked a bit run down. I'm glad I didn't settle. and ended up here.
Awesome room! Very homey and welcoming. Room was very clean and roomy. Pool and hot-tub were relaxing and clean. Breakfast was delicious with plenty to offer. The front desk service was very accommodating and kind. Would stay here again!
My boyfriend and I stayed for a couple nights while we visited the Funny Bone Comedy club and the Newport Aquarium. The gentleman who checked us in could not have been more polite and courteous. He asked what brought us into town and pointed out activities and restaurants nearby that we might be interested. Also, he told us to have a good day/evening every time we left the hotel and welcomed us back on our return. Furthermore, he searched high and low for a hair tie for me to use to pull my hair up while swimming. The hotel was clean, bedding and towels were soft and comfortable, and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. The pool was well maintained and towels were provided. We stayed during a dance competition, which we were unaware, but the hotel was quiet and the guests were polite. I definitely recommend this budget friendly hotel. And kudos to the gentleman at the front desk for making our stay extra special.
We did some digging around across travel booking sites, and ended up finding this place to be the best value - indoor heated pool + breakfast. We booked directly with the hotel and the rate is as good as travel sites. The staff are friendly and accommodating - for late check-out, use of breakfast space after breakfast hours. Room is clean (though somewhat cramped), but everything works. The only small drawback was very small sheets for queen beds that can't quite wrap itself around the blanket - which means you end up sleeping with the blanket - and the blanket is not changed from guest to guest as far as I know. And few like sleeping with a coarse, re-used blanket rubbing against your face or body. On the other hand, hotel towels etc are very new and very good quality. Location convenient to shopping and dinning. Room on the small side. TV on the large side. Wifi on the slow side. Overall, great value.
This is a nice hotel with comfortable and clean rooms. Good location. Pool was cold but clean, but the hot tub looked like it had better days and was small. The front desk staff was less than professional. I think the one girl said "what?" when I came to check in. Also, the food at the breakfast wasn't very good, nor was there much to choose from. Overall, the location and price was right. We would stay again with the hopes that the staff had better training!
We stayed at this hotel over the weekend for a family trip to the Cincinnati Zoo and the Newport Aquarium. It is conveniently located near both as well as Kings Island. I had requested a roll away bed. Upon check in we were told the hotel has none. Not that they had none available, but they hotel itself had none. (What kind of hotel doesn't have roll away beds!?!?) There was a cheer competition somewhere in the area, unknown to us in advance. The hotel was filled w/very loud, yelling girls. It made for a hard time getting our little one to bed each night. Our room was far from clean. Dust so thick on the night stand my son was able to write his name on the night stand in the dust. Floor in our room hadn't been vacuumed. The good....staff was very friendly...when you could find them. Breakfast was great.
I have to say I was very pleased with my stay at the Best Western. It was easily accessible and the rooms were clean and updated. That is all I need for an overnight stay. I didn't eat the breakfast so I can't give any input in that area.
Hotel is very clean, nice and friendly staff, breakfast tasted good, had lots of different items hot and cold, beds are a little to firm for our taste, but great place for the money. I would defiantly stay there again.
This hotel was a great place for us to stop for the night. It had a great price and good reviews- which were well founded. Room was nice, clean, and comfy. Beds were great and we had plenty of room! Staff was very nice and efficient and we experienced no troubles while there. We would definitely stay here again!
While traveling between NYState and Florida we stopped our first night in Mason, OH at the Best Western Hotel. This hotel was well-maintained, clean, and roomy. We did make one error. We requested a first floor room so we could get into and out of the area quickly. The room was near the first floor Pool and children were allowed to swim late and run the halls late into the night. I would suggest a room above the second floor. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends, family, and other travelers.
Surprising nice experience. The hotel lobby, and corridors were clean and well maintained. Our room was spacious and very clean. The bathroom was the only negative, and only that it was a bit run down. Had a comfortable bed that provided a very good sleep, and the room was very quiet, with no noise from other rooms or the hallway. Breakfast was extensive and monitored closely by a young lady that was very helpful, and accessible. Would stay here again. Wifi was good also.
Very new remodeled rooms, clean, very friendly staff, clean pool, great breakfast! The staff welcomed us promptly and gave us all the details for breakfast and pool hours without us having to ask. Smiling and polite! Almost every time we go to the Cincinnati area we stay here and always have a pleasant stay! Was impressed with the new decor since our last stay and the breakfast was impressive for the price we paid.
My husband and I wanted to take the kids to Cincy and let them swim for the weekend. This is a great place to do that. The pool is great! Hot tub is nice for adults and there is so much to do in the surrounding areas. Breakfast there is not bad. The coffee is delicious!!! Rooms have just what we need and were clean and comfy.
My over all stay was good, it put me close to my work site. The Mason Best Western was in walking distance as well as and short drive to shopping and places to dine. I would definitely recommend the Madison BW to any of my fellow workers who have to come in to cooperate or training or work.
The room was great, the pool was nice. The pancake machine was out of order and that was a bummer. No breakfast person during breakfast the front desk person handled it but seemed out of element in fixing pancake machine. My son enjoyed the pool. The internet was great. Great value as this is an inexpensive hotel with a lot to offer. They just need better staff and a breakfast person.
Everything is brand new. Comfortable bed. Windows worked well to keep down traffic noise. Great block out blinds. Clean bathroom. Checked in and out easily. Very nice breakfast buffet. Quiet! Did not use indoor pool and Jacuzzi, but it looked clean.
After a long, tiresome drive,my husband and I chose to stay at a hotel nearest to the highway.I checked into trip advisor and booked a room at the Best Western Mason Inn.It was extremely late, 1 am, and we were looking forward to a good night sleep.Upon arrival, the desk clerk was bringing bags outside for other guests so we waited a few min.We went to check in and were told she could not find our reservation and asked for my password to trip advisor.I was reluctant, but complied. After doing so,she still could not find our reservation. She then took us to a computer and told me to log into my trip advisor account, print out our reservation, and basically check ourselves in!I am apalled. We will definitely chose a more compitant hotel upon our next visit to Ohio.
I really just enjoy staying here. Great location, service, price and breakfast. Favorite business travel place I stay in Ohio. Pool and hot tub are nice for relaxing. Fitness center could use a little work, but no complaints.
My husband I found this hotel while we were having dinner close by. We had a such a wonderful experience at a Best Western in Georgia, so we decided to give this a shot. So glad we did! Room was clean, bed was comfortable, breakfast is delicious and plentiful, and the entire staff we have been in contact with has been friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I highly recommend this establishment, and hope to stay again in our future travels through the area, if possible.
If it were possible, I would rate this a 3.5 instead of a 3. This is your typical Hampton Inn-type 2.5 star establishment. They had a decent free breakfast with a pancake machine, cheese omelets, sausages, biscuits and gravy, a variety of pastries, a variety of juices, cereal, milk, and coffee. I noted they also had an indoor pool and fitness room. The pool looked nice, but I didn't look in the fitness room. The furniture and décor immediately around it were up to date and in good shape. The room had a refrigerator and a microwave. However, the bed was rather hard, and the sheets looked a bit thin and worn. The TV was a rather small flatscreen that didn't have a lot of channels and offered no HD reception. The closet was rather small and consisted of a notch in the wall with a curtain to cover it up. There was a bit of fixture and decor mismatch that they should work on. Although it didn't affect comfort, the entryway did have kind of an odd industrial/warehouse barren feel. The doors to the rooms were oak and didn't match any of the trim in the hallways and doors leading to the breakfast area, which were of a rich, dark wood. Not a bad place. Just not overly "wowed"
Great place to stay, very helpful. Clean and quiet even though its on a busy street. Dont know why you have to have a min. amount of word so i had to write more and still more and some more, ok and more
The rooms were newly remodeled so it made the stay much nicer. The hallways and elevator had a more worn look to them. The bed was firm but very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again if in the area.
We were in the area for a Thanksgiving family gathering. The location of the hotel was excellent in that there were many restaurants and stores nearby. It was convenient enough to be able to walk to them. It was also easy to access major highways. We booked online and got a great deal. The hotel was very clean. We had a room with two queen beds which seemed to be brand new and very comfortable. The room also had a microwave, fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. Initially, we were in a room where the A/C wasn't working properly. When we informed the desk, the response was immediate. We were given another room and after settling in, the gentleman at the desk came to the room to make sure we were satisfied. The staff during our three night stay was friendly, professional and attentive to the needs of their guests. Breakfast included a variety of cereals, yogurts, bagels, breads, donuts, muffins. The hot items were: pancakes, biscuits & gravy, eggs and sausage. Beverages included coffee, tea, hot chocolate, milk, orange, apple, grape juice and water. There was an indoor pool, hot tub and fitness room, free WIFI and newspaper. All in all this was a very nice place to stay.
My wife and I stayed here on our way through Cincinnati. It was clean and functional and reasonably priced. The room was moderate sized for this level. The motel was fairly close to the interstate I would recommend it.
This is a place where even the newest person to staying away from home could stay. The price is right with the seasons and for the business traveler. The staff is great at working with you for your needs and the comfort of the stay.
I HIGHLY recommend staying here! Whether you are visiting Kings Island (which is a must) or visiting the Cincinnati area, this is the place to stay. Its a wonderful and easy drive to the city, and blink of an eye away from the park. Staff was wonderful, rooms are beautiful and comfortable. Stay here!!!!!!
This is a very nice hotel close to Kings Island and central to the shopping districts. The hotel overall was very nice and the room was clean. The bed was a little too firm for me but was in very good shape. We didn't use the pool this time but we have stayed here in the past and it is a nice area as well. We come down to see friends and we will stay here again.
Comfortable, clean hotel with great breakfast options. Near many restaurants and close to highway. Great deal for the cost. The staff was extremely knowledgeable of the surrounding area and helped us to find the right restaurant for my family and I to enjoy. The hotel staff was also able to extend my accommodation to make my stay and leaving time more comfortable.
stayed 1 night check in was ok, room was dusty and there were old jelly beans under the seat cushion of the chair which had seen better days. there was a good hot breakfast selection and Wi-Fi was fast.
Room was nice and clean! Overall for the price this Best Western was great! The location is great with a good variety of resturants nearby. Breakfast was good. Pool was a little cool but the kids didnt care!
Stayed here with my son who was competing in the OCR World Championships in Kings Domain. The hotel was easy to find and the check-in was as smooth as can be, the staff were ultra helpful. The room was a good size, clean and well equipped. We stayed here for 3 nights having decided to cut our stay from four as we wanted an extra night up in Chicago. The staff at the hotel were great and even helped us book a hotel up in Chicago by giving us phone numbers etc. I would have given this a full 5 points had the wifi been more reliable. We did have free wifi but it was a bit hit and miss, the room I stayed in (218) had a very weak signal. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and my opinion of Best Western hotels is that they are good value for money, friendly hotels.
Being away from home to work where I could find work means staying someplace a couple nights a week. This place was the cheapest place to stay when I first started at the job. The prices are going up and I hope they go down a little, it's getting hard to afford. This is the best place to stay and (almost) feel at home.
I am picky about my hotel stays but don't want have to pay a lot for cleanliness and comfort. This hotel was fantastic for the price and area! Clean, comfortable rooms; Friendly staff. Nice selection for breakfast (food was adequate). Tons of restaurants and shops in the area. Would definitely stay here again.
We just stayed this past weekend at this hotel & once again very satisfied with everything. I need a handicap room & room #104 is just right. The staff was nice, the hot breakfast bar is the best of any hotel we've stayed at over the years. The hotel is within a mile of several places to eat & very close to I-71. We'll surely use this location in the future as we have in the past.
Overall very good experience. Room was clean, neat and comfortable. The pool and hot tub was enjoyable for my 3 year old daughter and I. We did not notice any noise from the hallways or other rooms all evening or night. The morning breakfast was nice with a good selection. Well done BW. Well done.
Best Western Mason Inn is an excellent location close to the Hwy, with many restaurants and shops close by, including the Skyline, famous for its Cincinnati Chili. I found it very clean and comfortable with refrig & microwave, desk, & comfortable chair to relax in. It is just a short drive to the Cincinnati waterfront & beautiful Ohio River.
We stayed here for a night while in town visiting Kings Island. We didn't need anything fancy so this fit the bill. Upon arrival room was clean and front desk attendant was very friendly. My only complaint was that each bed could have used a few more pillows as the ones that were on the bed were a little on the flat side. We took advantage of the pool and hot tub. The pool was a little on the cold side but the hot tub was very relaxing after a long day of walking the park. Their breakfast was good, standard hotel breakfast fare. The eating area was a good size, and they had an extra room with tables that could be used if the main dining room was full. Price was very reasonable.
Overall satisfied with all (room, internet, amenities); need cooked Vegetarian items in breakfast as mentioned before. Non Vegetarian people can have good breakfast as they have scrambled eggs, sausages,
