Front office person was very personable and very helpful. Room was very clean. Hotel shows that they have great staff working for them and hope the big wigs realize it and appreciate their staff. Been to other hotels and you can tell their staff are not happy and don't care at all about the place. Rooms not the cleanest and no shampoo or conditioner refilled or set out.

I was charged double for my 2 night stay and it has been impossible to get ahold of ANYONE via phone to fix the error. One phone number no longer in service and after 9 hours of calling no one has yet answered the other phone number that I have.

I was a bit skeptical based on photos and reviews that didn't jump out to sell it, but this hotel is super nice and I have five-star standards when I travel. This time I had my emotional support dog w me and had lots of activities planned, so I booked at an amazing rate in late October. The grounds, lobby and rooms are immaculate and so are all of the other common areas, of which there are many. This was the first time I've ever been able to book a room w two king-sized beds, so bonus points for that and the fact that the room was huge. Staff couldn't have been nicer. My pup was super happy. We extended our stay by two days and I'll def return in the future due to its proximity to state parks and just about everything else you could want. Highly recommend!

Diane at the front desk was friendly and efficient in coordinating an early check in and extra night stay. The pool and hot tub were a great way to end the day and wind down, after a delicious included breakfast with a huge selection

I will most likely never stay at or book hotel blocks at a Best Western again. Our group was told we didn't not have reservations. Rooms were given away before some parties had arrived. The front desk staff was left with an entirely new computer system on a completely booked weekend with our manager on call or on the property. Front desk could not help with basic house keeping task such as finding pillow cases for pull out beds. We were told the zipper protective case was the pillow case. They most definitely are not. The Internet did not work for 75% of our stay. Rooms were reserved for a group rate for all identical rooms. Different parities were charged different prices each night. Some people were charged for basics such as soap in their room. Others were charged a large deposit and others not even charged for both their nights. The towels were extremely rough and smelled strongly of bleach and caused family members to get a rash. Beds were uncomfortable small double beds. The pull out was wider than the beds.

Staff made just anyone keys for my room. Microwave didn't work. I was over charged and the GM was fired so there is no way for them to fix it. I have to deal with cooperation which is more time and work on my part to fix a THEM problem.

Horrible flaky Wi-Fi, water is disgusting, no water bottle available. Elevator looks like the bathroom in a gas station. Carpet are dirty, bathroom fan are deafening, horrible pillows, that are actually couch cushions.

I am being restricted on what I can say, but let me start here. I noticed additional unathurozied charges on my card and when I contacted the hotel on numerous occasions they had the audacity to say they had to charge me for state taxes in the amount of fifty additional dollars. Then said the towels were soiled with makeup well duh, we have to wash our face of makeup. So then she said it was the blankets. At this point I said get their story straight because they told me I was being charged for three different things. I had a good experience with he male front desk person, but the females and the manager are unprofessional scamming rats. They hung up on me and the said they did not have to listen to me complain . Well I lost it at that point and that's when I swore at them and they hung up. I am the customer and you are going to hear my complaints if you charge me and I could have complained on the unclean conditions of the room but decided not to and these scammers charged me. Put the items in the washer and dryer, because my makeup and towels are all clean after I put them in the wash. Never coming here again, I was so upset I was really going to make the two hour drive to give them a piece of mind and still might

Had internet problems(but then it worked some 4-5 hours later) No phone and TV had some channels with no sound. Shower head only had 1 setting(but boy was it good) and sink was a slow drainer.BUT we still give it a 8-9 out of 10 rating.Staff, breakfast ,room, pool and sauna was awesome. Would come back for sure

Rented adjoining rooms which really helped with 4 grandchildren. Always had extra towels for swimming. Front desk persons were very helpful about events in area and taking care of special requests. Fresh fruit yogurt parfaits were an added delight! Only downside was the hot tub not working; but, the indoor pool was a good size. Location was close to surrounding events and activities.

The front desk clerk was friendly and welcoming. He gave me two cookies and two waters as a rewards member. The location is walking distance from many restaurants and shops. The hotel itself was clean and tidy. The rooms were nice and roomy.

This Best Western has been remodeled, it is a great place to stay. We enjoyed the breakfast which had eggs, potatoes, meat, cereal, juices, and more. There was a large group of people for breakfast and we had plenty of food. The room was clean, and we enjoyed the pool.

Great location off the highway. The rooms were large and well appointed with a nice seating area. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast held several options for everyone. The pool and fitness room were great

We were looking for a no-frills hotel for a few nights, and our low expectations were not met. Rooms were very run down compared to online photos. Our key cards stopped working twice. The toilet stopped flushing in our room so we had to switch to a new room. The heating and cooling unit worked inconsistently at best. The shower stopped draining and the sink leaked towards the end of our stay as well. The hotel was not cheap enough for these most basic amenities to fail us. The only upside was the kind and helpful front desk staff. Would not recommend

Room was mostly clean. A few of those bugs that come out in the sun were in the room but they are harmless. Bed was the worst I've ever slept on. If you like hard mattresses - this is the place for you. They also sank- hard to explain but really old mattress- hips hurt bad when I got up. Heat was set at 68 but was very hot in room. Shower worked well. Breakfast- 3 items - scrambled eggs/sausage/very undone potatoes. Waffle maker was not working. Did find a few yogurts. Front desk guy was nice. Trip advisor showed a Firehouse Subs very close- nope- over a mile away. We don't like to leave when traveling once we get to the hotel but we had to take the car and look for food. All in all- disappointing. We will not return until they refurb the rooms and get new mattresses.

This is a great hotel to stay at as the staff are helpful and friendly. the breakfast is great and I like the free wifi. We have been staying at this hotel for our shopping trip every December for over 5 years. We like that it is close to shopping stores and restaurants. The rooms are clean.

It's hard to find fault with the property, it generally exceeds many other properties I stay at. The rooms are clean and quiet, the pool area is nice, the breakfast is good and the staff is friendly. What more do you need?

Easy access from the interstate. Easy on-site parking. Very safe area. Friendly helpful staff. Clean room. The breakfast was somewhat limited, but still good. Our stay was pleasant and we were satisfied.

I was trying to decide between three different hotels for an overnight stay for relaxing before a Badger game. I called the hotels ahead of time to see what services they offered that I was looking for. Hot Breakfast, free parking, shuttle service, pool and hot tub. Though this hotel did not offer shuttle service, Jamie was very helpful in suggesting shuttles in the area and taxi services I could use. She sold me on the other hotel amenities and her pleasant attitude helped me to decide this hotel was the one for me and my daughter. Tyler at the front desk was helpful when we arrived. I needed something and he helped me right away. He also told me don't hesitate to ask for anything else if needed! Great customer service at this hotel. Hotel, pool area, and room were clean and cozy. Great hot breakfast too!

The staff at the front desk was rude and extremely unhelpful. After being charged a 25 dollar fee when we arrived prior to check in to get in to our room which was ready when we got there is ridiculous! We were also not told at check in the the pool was not operational and found out when we went to use it. The room was ok but when wee went out on to the patio area outside the room it had numerous cigarette butts on it so was not cleaned. Plenty of other hotels nearby that will treat you with the respect you deserve. Do not waste your time or money at this location.

To be fair, we stayed at this place on Homecoming weekend so that is why the price was more than double what it usually would be. But that is still no excuse for the condition of this hotel. It badly needs to be given a face lift. Our room was huge and had two queen beds but our bathroom was so tiny only one person could fit in it at a time. And you were in danger of getting hit by the bathroom door when you were in the bathroom. Our door squeaked, squealed horribly every time it was opened or closed because the wood from the door grated on the wood from the floor (I tried to include a picture of that but the website wasn't uploading pictures). Also, our door keys were very unreliable. Sometimes they worked and sometimes they didn't. I brought my key to the front desk to get it reprogrammed and I still had issues. The room had kind of a funky smell but I did get use to it after awhile. My husband didn't notice any smell. The rooms were not soundproofed either. Both nights around 11:00 pm there was someone revving their engines for what seemed like forever (but was probably 5 minutes). It was very obnoxious. There was no service unless you requested it (still from COVID?). I notice the price doesn't go down though. They also didn't seem to clean the small rooms by the elevators where they had books, games, etc. There were a couple beer cans on a shelf when we arrived on Friday night and they were still there when we left on Sunday. We did not use the pool or exercise room so I can't review those. Breakfast was kind of lame. The hot dishes (powdered, scrambled eggs, sausage gravy and biscuits, etc.) were bad. Coffee was good. No bananas but they did have apples and oranges until they ran out. I will never stay here again and I would advise others to look elsewhere.

This hotel was what I expected and I didn't have any complaints. It is a little dated as most of the fixtures are older, but everything functioned as expected. The location was good for close dining and shopping. Only 5 minutes to Cabelas in Sun Prairie.

We've stayed her in the past and see this place as declining. Basically clean but refrigerator froze our food and drinks, tub drained too slowly. Lots of walls needing touch up paint etc. Just appears to be lacking in care. No orange juice and no peanut butter at breakfast. Staff continue to be helpful and friendly.

I hosted a wedding on August 13. I paid for 7 of the rooms personally and 6 other rooms were booked by my guests directly per my recommendation. I am embarrassed and humiliated at how one of my family members was treated. They checked in on Friday for a two night stay, no problem. On Saturday afternoon, A 14 year old desk clerk gave a key to someone who was not registered to that room without asking for ID. When the guests registered for that room found out about this security breach, they complained at the front desk. The manager stated that her 14 year old daughter gave out the key. When the registered guests returned to their room they were locked out. It was 45 minutes before the wedding was to start. They were told by the manager that in order to get a key, the father of the bride who made the original reservation had to come to the hotel and show an ID for them to get a key to the room they had already occupied since Friday. All their belongings were in the room. When the guest complained further, they were kicked out. The guest just shared this disturbing incident with me yesterday. I am very upset that my recommendation to stay there was a mistake. We had 4 other guest that checked in under the same circumstances and it is ridiculous to kick out the one guest that called you out on a serious breach of room security. I worked at a front desk at a hotel and I NEVER gave a key out to someone without ID. When we were initially organizing the 13 reservations, I asked multiple times to make sure that our guests could check in even if we made the initial reservation. I am so angry and I intend to share this further on social media.

We stayed at the BW while dropping our son off at UW for the fall semester. It is conveniently located nearby one of the largest shopping areas outside of Madison. The area is safe and there are many chain restaurants and stores close by. The price was very good and the room was big and comfortable. At this price level you get a clean room and don't expect much more. The staff at this hotel is wonderful. They are really nice, friendly and helpful. The decor is 1970's with lots of wood everywhere but everything was functional and the bed was excellent. The toiletries are very spartan - so swing by target for shampoo and soap. Don't expect much of the free breakfast but there are plenty of choices nearby.

The hot tub was out of service and the fan in the bathroom wasn't working making the whole bathroom fog up but other than that it was a nice place to stay. Our two bed suite also had a pull-out couch which was nice. It had a mini-fridge, microwave, and small keurig.

Stayed here for the use of hot tub it wasn't working.was told it broke on Wednesday. Was never even told.we were locked out of room because key was disabled.black mold in tub and the ceiling fan hasn't been dusted for months.I don't recommend this place

Hotel was clean. Staff was pleasant. Breakfast was hot with a good selection. Only complaints were the Wi-Fi ( slow and dropped a lot) and the towels. They were exceptionally thin, rough and small, When I asked for additional towels I was given pool towels.

Sink in the bathroom wouldn't drain and shower head wouldn't stay up. Had a 3 night stay and forgot to change out the towels with the cleaning person during the day. Went down to the front desk after dinner and all they had were old, stiff pool towels about half the size of bath towels. Had confirmed late checkout the day before for 1:30 pm. On the final day I was told it was not available as they needed the room. Day shift manager was rude when questioned as to why. She told me that normally they would rent a meeting room for $100 but she would let me use it for free. I wasn't even cleaned from the meeting before that had served food.....it was easy to tell because it was all over the tables and floor.

Was busy with other half, staff wslks in unannounced, black mold in bathroom, balcony railing only bolted on one side. Staff was slow and rude. Paid for a queen bed only got a double bed. Very noisy at nite.

The rooms were very nice and quite spacious. The only issue we had was the internet wouldn't work and no one knew how to fix it. Followed the instructions, but you could not connect to the internet. That part was very frustrating. The hotel is clean and not too badly priced if you are a member of AAA, AARP, military, etc. Otherewise, it is overpriced. We did enjoy our one night stay.

In a great shopping area, and nearby are several good restaurants. Compared to pre-2020 standards for Best Western they are not quite up to par. We had problems with WIFI slow&weak, and the breakfast service is good, just not as great as in the past.

No heat in pool area, poor upkeep, not enough bedding for the pull out couch. Rude staff, especially the manager. I think I've said it all, but this review needs to be at least 200 characters, so I will keep going.

Meh.....great location, but this place is really in need of an update. Cold, tired and not very inviting. Kind of feels like 1993.... It's priced about right for what you get. The Next time I need a hotel near Deforest, we'll be staying at the Hilton Garden Inn. It costs more - but worth it for a better & more modern experience.

Broken fixtures, cold pool, no pool area lighting, mob of inner city families let into back door to use pool, all jumped into hot tub because pool was ice cold and pool area had no lighting. Food was horrible. I felt unsafe.

This facility has slipped. Blame it on COVID or can't get workers, but the bottom line it is well below what I have experienced at Best Wetern...ever! Tried to call to get these problems with billing, overcharging, and general diisgust taken care of for an hour with no answer.

My son and I were just passing through on a road trip. Best Western is always so reliable. The location was convenient, service was friendly, and the rooms were spotless! I didn't care for the pillows, but that's just a personal preference thing.

This property was much better when I stayed here in late 2019. Unfortunately, it has declined. Don't go.I was lied to on phone about the pool /hot tub area being in good working area(literally ice chunks on floor, too cold to use) & full breakfast not what it used to be although chef was kind and accommodating. Front Desk staff is often not at desk(maybe off doing other tasks?). I had a personal call that took forever to get through. The room was run down with paint flaking and tub needed caulking and had dirty tissue on floor and hadn't been dusted! I'd skip this hotel for now.

Been staying at this location for 10+ years and we're never disappointed. Immaculately clean and well-maintained. Service is excellent. The staff are always helpful with forgotten items or with requests such as late check-out. Very pet-friendly when we've traveled with a dog — we can get rooms close to exits for easy access to walks. Amazing value for the price.

There was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom due to improper ventilation and when I took a shower I was standing in at least 6" of water. Just pretty gross... Definitely wouldn't stay at this property again.

Stayed here for a dance in the area. Reception was very nice snd did a great job. Room was very nice. We finally had a room with a few chairs so we both could sit comfortably. Place was quiet. Breakfast was a little different. They had pre made and package eggs, sausage, and Jimmy Dean pancake with sausage on a stick. All were good. The attendant kept the refrig stocked and was constantly cleaning everything in the room. Very impressive in these times! Will stay again!

From the outside, this hotel appears somewhat drab. But the inside is actually quite nice. Check in was quick and easy and employee was very pleasant. The carpet was exceptionally clean and there were no marks or dings on the walls. Bathroom was in very good condition with a nice big vanity and a shower with good water pressure. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was still served under Covid conditions but it was very good with microwavable omelets and pancakes, great muffins, yogurt, other bread items, juice and coffee. There were actual glasses for the juice and coffee. The attendant did an excellent job of immediately cleaning a table when someone left and refilling the offerings. Many restaurants in the area. Highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed here because I am partial to staying at Best Western Hotels and it was very close to US Highway 151. The staff was nice and helpful. The room was very nice. The hotel needs some T.L.C., it was showing some signs of wear and their room key technology needs some updating. When I checked in, they couldn't give me am electronic key as the system wasn't working. Got the key after I had dinner.

Manager was very rude while trying to checking in. My room smelled like smoke with cigarette burns all over the floor bathroom door handle broken entry lights did not work. I called back and i was told by the manager that they could not smell any smoke. This place has really gone downhill.

This was our 2nd stay in past few months and enjoyed this stay very much! Room was well priced and the breakfast has greatly improved (probably due to easing of covid restrictions?) ... Nicely done Best Western!

While we were staying we had a few issues such as the back door not opening with our hotel room keys, and the property having a few "drifters" after dark. I would like to say that Cora the receptionist was great at getting our issues handled as soon as possible. I even asked a special favor since we wouldn't be leaving at check out time and she was able to get a half night price so that we could leave after I was done working. I was amazed at the hotel staff at this establishment, and will be following up my stay this coming weekend. I have nothing bad to say as the room was well put together, and clean as a whistle! I didn't get a chance to try the complimentary breakfast, but the indoor pool and whirlpool hot tub was a must have!

Fast, courteous check in and check out. Room was Clean, and comfortable room to spend a relax night. Breakfast area, lounge, fitness room were all clean and well maintained. Parking area were marked for easy parking and were clean Keep the good standards.

Hotel was safe enough, but was missing light fixtures. The tub filled almost completely up when my husband showered, the pool was closed for resurfacing, which we did not know about, they charged an extra $100 without telling us (to be returned after check out and inspection). The fridge and microwave in the room was nice. Bed was probably ready for a replacement. We had a small table and one chair to sit at in our king bed suite. The TV channels on the printed guide was completely wrong. All in all bummed about the trip, at least the hotel room was clean, safe and close to shopping.

Quick - easy off the highway. Clean comfy room. Many restaurants all around several you could walk too. Quick check in and check out. Bed was comfortable, nice pillows. Price was really good also. No complaints at all!

We confirmed a king room,but ended up with a cigarette-smelling queen that had torn sheets on the bed, a sliding screen door that had to be kept in our room, towels and washcloths that were dingy and grey. The only bright spot was that Kelly, the morning person, tried her best to satisfy us.

Great stay! Super service! Always smiling employees! Cora was very helpful with all our questions! She has a great heart and a smiling face she met all of my needs and you guys should pay her well!!!!!!!!

The hotel & all aspects were very good, except with their energy management system in use, was a debacle. One MUST keep a key card inserted in the in-room slot to keep ALL room electrical turned on. Sounds reasonably logical, EXCEPT, when you insert card & turn on fridge, it takes 9-10 hrs.before fridge becomes cool enough to store milk or other perishables, (insulin or other medicine). You then also need to bring along a cooler. How to make simple things difficult.

I spent 3 nights in this BW during the COVID crisis. Pros: --Very comfy bed; I slept great, especially after the long drive to get there. --Good hot shower. --They gave me a newly redecorated room which was clean. --Decent price; I saw low occupancy during the COVID pandemic at many hotels which helps to drive prices down. --Plenty of parking as very few people were staying there. --I could open the windows & let fresh air in; this seems pretty rare with hotels these days. Cons: --Despite being told I was getting a newly decorated room, it wasn't finished. It had no couch & artwork was missing. Phone & several other appliances were not plugged in & it seemed there weren't enough outlets for the room. I told front desk about the lack of phone cord & it not working 3 times & they did nothing to fix it. --They were doing construction at the hotel when I arrived & there was no mention of this on their website or when I called BW's 800 number to book a room. In fact the website only gave me the option of a non-refundable reservation, presumably because they wanted guests to book & only find out about the hotel construction work after they arrived, then not be able to cancel. So I called to make a refundable reservation. Very deceptive. --Grab & go breakfast was very meagre. Yes, I know this is what hotels are doing during the crisis but this was pretty pathetic. --Hotel looks like a psych hospital from the outside: very drab. Maybe the construction will fix this. --Corridors smelt of cigarette smoke, probably from the construction guys. I suggest waiting for the construction work to finish before staying there.

several food choices close by. Nice rooms. Hotel is renovating right now. Easy off and on the interstate. Definitely worth the price. Even during the virus pandemic they were open and ready to accommodate.

very good stay, clean rooms and very good water pressure, best I've had in Madison area, breakfast was a lot of variety and very good. Had a free daily newspaper and the internet was very nice. Hot tub and pool were excellent and nice looking.

There is light maintenance going on to update a few things but is to be expected if they want to continue with what they have to offer. Nice hot tub pool. Breakfast was very pleasant. Kitchen is clean. If you chose to there is snacks and a small selection of beer and alcohol. Locked outer doors for safety. Computer in lobby for use. Printer included. Ice machines. Pop machines. Clean beds. mold free bath tubes. Clean bathrooms. Was just certainly more pleasant than I've reserved and walked into by surprise at other hotels.

Stopped here on way to Florida Jan 28,2020. Parking lot was icy so you had to watch step. Curtain had something on it that looked like it could be a food product. Took picture & front desk took a picture of our picture but didn't check it out. There was also something on wall near bed. Worst Best Western we have stayed in. Will not stay here again.

Great location to everything on east side of Madison and family. Staff is always available. They are patient, funny, and respectful. Easy reservations. Quiet. Easy parking. Short walk to room. Cheap pantry

We often travel to Madison to see our son and our first choice of places to stay is Best Western East Towne Suites. The price is good for the services provided. The suites are clean and comfortable and the complimentary breakfast is hearty and delicious!

The internet speed was so poor we had to use our phone hotspots. I used to manage a hotel and this was my first experience where I was told to stop talking during check-in. Yes, the representative was training another but she rudely told me to stop talking between answering how many adults and how many kids. A member of my party was sick the next morning after eating the hotel breakfast. When asking for a late check out, they offered a whole 30 minutes and would not budge beyond 45 minutes with lots of rooms available that night.

We ran into some room issues, but the staff checking us in was amazing. Small fee for a dog. No problems having her with. Room, especially bathroom, was not very wheelchair friendly, but for one night, it was fine.

At a great price there was availability on short notice. This is not one of their higher end properties. No bells and whistles like a happy hour as at other BW's. Breakfast was a good hot and cold one with plenty of variety.

Breakfast was good, eggs, bacon, sausages potatoes. All other aspects of this hotel are poor. The halls smelled like sewer, our room was dirty. Broken/stained furniture. Would not reccomend staying here.

I have stayed at this property multiple times and it has always been a good experience. They are located within walking distance of multiple restaurants and being next to a mall, there is ample parking for trucks. Good breakfast.

Wisconsin businesses trip. Hotel was average. A little higher priced then comparable hotel/motels. Chose it because we needed semi tractor parking, and pet friendly. Convenient location for walking to stores and restaurants.

This hotel is priced within reason. Great hot breakfast not just on weekend. Wonderful heated pool and hot tub. Great location to restaurants and getting to downtown Madison. We took in a University of Wisconsin football game while we were in town to visit our new granddaughter..

I was disappointed in this BW and feel it fell short of the quality and value I have experienced at other BW properties. We drove by hotel twice thinking it was an apartment complex vice hotel due to the exterior presentation and lack of signage. Desk personnel were not welcoming nor appeared to care about customers. No recognition of awards status. Insufficient lighting and electrical plugs. Could easily overhear conversations and tv in adjacent room. I will look for another hotel the next time I'm in the area. Breakfast was good.

I was looking forward to my stay at this location for a short trip in the Madison area. I arrived at the hotel, check in was rather quick, however I was charged twice and the person I worked with said it didnt go through, but it did and it is still on my bank statement and put my account negative, I was charged a late fee, and have been calling for the last two days and just keep getting the work around. Room wise, it was okay. The bed was comfortable, however there was a jelly or something on the floor by the bed, my tv was in a dumb spot that was hard to see and very few channels, my microwave didnt work at all, and the yellow walls give me a "smoker" vibe. I am rather dissapointed with best western, I wish I wasnt given the run around when trying to fix my problems at this location.

Minus the internet issue, my stay was ok. The rooms were outdated, clean and comfortable with plenty of room. The internet did not work when I arrived. I contacted the front desk twice but they did not know how to fix the issue or if their IT department was resolving the problem.

We enjoyed our suite. Nice Devore and standard amenities. Convenient to the Barrymore where we went to a concert. Friendly staff and free hot breakfast. Room rates definitely in our price range. Noticed a huge pool and hot tub.

Nice enough place. Cheaper price reflects the fact it is older, the beds are quite old as are some fixtures in the bathroom (at least in the room I stayed in. The toilet ran because the tank was so calcified, the stopper couldn't quite stop the water from running.) Staff was friendly, breakfast fine, and pool was warm and clean.

I was in a hurry to check out as I had an appointment. Wasn't asked if my stay was OK, and frankly, it was fine, but I'll not stay here again. Room dresser was beat up, couch was stained, gold cover on bed had spots also. Rate was cheaper, but I'd rather have paid more for a cleaner, less run down room. My kids wanted to leave and find another place to stay, but it was late when we checked in and I didn't want the hassle.

This is the best hotel deal I have found in the area. There are several Restaurants and bars within a few steps. Room was very clean and a fantastic deal for the $. I have stayed here many times without issue. The breakfast is the best I have had.

great place we have been using for years. not the "Snazziest, but affordable and definitely family friendly. the small "Store" in the lobby area is affordable and saves having to go go elsewhere for small food and convenience items. The breakfast is awesome with an actual cook!

I fee the prices were a little on the high side just because of the big game in town that weekend.. the staff member who checked us in was rude to say the least. She needs to be inform a little better so that she may be able to answer questions correctly

Great appearance when you come up to hotel and in the lobby. Had A/C issue in room and they gave me an upgrade to their whirlpool suite. To not recognize and take care of an A/C problem before one is given a room should not happen, total hassle to move from one room to another. But the staff was great and did bend over backwards. Will definitely give them another try.

I stayed here in September of 2019. The hotel is in bad need of refreshing - rooms smell musty, furniture and linens are old and worn out. Housekeeping is really lacking, also. Supplies (shampoo, coffee, etc) were not replenished daily, and the bathroom was dirty. For $100+ per night, this hotel is no value. Look somewhere else.

Usually Best Westerns have been great for our family. This particular BW was horrible though. It is in serious need of a renovation—and not just for aesthetics. The beds are very old. The sofa and chairs were not only dated, but saggy. I couldn't imagine using the sofa bed! The room also had areas in need to attention: door knobs falling off, a hole by the air conditioning unit, and a musty odor. Even the elevator looked old—painted burnt orange and peeling paint. The hot breakfast was terrible—we ended up eating oatmeal and fruit instead. The eggs had a terrible after-taste, the bacon was fake and super thin and tasteless, the potatoes were marginal—but very over seasoned. Unless they renovate, I would never stay here again.

Great stay with clean quiet rooms, lots of amenities, pool, whirlpool and many stores and restaurants close by for all needs. I do recommend staying at this location. we have used it many times on our trips south and will continue to do so in the future.

I had stayed once and had a bad experience. I did leave a review. I feel they really listened to what I was saying and this trip returning I felt that those concerns and issues with guest rooms had been fixed. That made me eager to come back again! Breakfast is a nice surprise from your typical continental breakfast with having a hot buffet style breakfast.

This is my go-to motel for madison. We've been staying off and on for 10, 12 years. The breakfast is good, the rooms are clean and spacious, the pool is nice, the staff is nice. Our only complaint, i think ever, is that the hot tub could be hotter, but i think for insurance reasons it can't be. It's a great price and we usually take a Lyft or Uber if we go places where alcohol may be enjoyed (responsibly) and it's not that expensive to get around. Oh, and the showers are good, not a weak trickle where i dont even want to wash my hair. We've never had a bad experience there.

Great location with easy highway access. Very clean hotel. Plenty of options for dining and of course the usual solid Best Western breakfast buffet. Very polite staff. A definite excellent rest spot when doing a long road trip.

I travel a lot in my job and this is one of the best places I have stayed at. The people are just Great. Lal Patel is the GM/owner and his people have his attitude, Customer Service is always 1st. They great you with a Smile. I just enjoy staying here. Thank you!

Staff was friendly. Room was clean and reasonably maintained. Location was super convenient to the highway so understandably, some noise from the road. Pool was pleasant and the hot tub was very relaxing. Both had lift assisting devices, if needed. Breakfast was decent. Would stay here again.

Great location room are very comfortable hotel has a good feel to it, with a variety of restaurants close by. We stopped there after a long day of driving and when we got up breakfast had finished asked the guy in the restaurant about it and received grunt

A great value hotel, clean, nice breakfast, friendly staff, large pool and hot tub. That's why I keep going back to this location, which is close to the Interstate, but not so close that you hear traffic. Close to a variety of restaurants and a mall.

My wife read reviews (recent) and people beat this hotel up pretty good so I was concerned but we had an excellent stay and found none of the issues people had reported with our stay, would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for just one night on our way to Niagara Falls. The hotel and room were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good and my son enjoyed having a swim in the pool. Great location for shopping and many nearby restaurants. The only negative was the wifi - it was very spotty and extremely slow.

After a good start, with their willingness in changing my room from a dark first floor (not a great choice for a woman traveling alone ) to a third floor room with a balcony, it was downhill. The room smelled stale, definitely a whiff of tobacco and noxious smelling cleaning products. The door handle on the balcony door was broken halfway off. The bed was so poorly made that I re-made it; not even the fitted sheet was tucked in. Housekeeping never came to my room although I was there two nights. The front desk staff seemed very tired, uninterested, and unfriendly; certainly, after that initial room change which seemed to be handled by a manager, they were unwelcoming of any interactions. I see the pros - they allow pets, there is a large breakfast (although very little for vegans so I only ate there one morning), and there is a swimming pool. But none of that would be enough to convince me to return.

This property isn't as nice as it once was, but the staff is still friendly. Pool area needs a good cleaning, but the other areas seem well maintained. Easy off and on interstate. Breakfast mediocre. Room cleanliness good. Problems with the door keys frustrating but eventually resolved. Value:pretty good.

Property is run down. Almost walked out after seeing room but prepaid a week. Luckily didnt spend much time in room. Beds were uncomfortable, temperature is controlled by a 70's style window unit, bedding was old and nasty and TV reception constantly went out. Plus only has 25 channels. Room keys constantly failed meaning trips to apathetic desk. "Workout room" is a joke. Dont use treadmill unless walkiing slow. More equivalent to a motel 6.

For the past 30 years we have stayed at this property many times. This time was the first time we had any issues. Our daily coffee service was not replaced nor was the lotion , shampoo. When contacting the front desk we were told we would have to come there to get replacement. When going there , they provided coffee and shampoo but said lotion would have to come from housekeeping. Upon complaining that housekeeping should have re3placed the items (we had a week long stay) the desk clerk advised that they would tell housekeeping , but communication with housekeeping was not always too good! ?????? Thes same thing happened the following days. One day, we had the do not disturb sign out in the AM but toook it down befor3e noon, as one of the housekeepers observed me leave , our room was never cleaned that day. On the final day of our stay`we returned to find the room partially cleaned, but carpet was dirty and bed drape3s had not been put on the bead. Housekeeping office was directly across the hall and we had the head of housekeeping come in to observe the room. Her comment was “So, what is wrong here” My response was can't you see how poor the clean and room reassert was. Her r3eponse was, well you must have left it that way. We went on to explain that we had reported other issues to the. Desk and that the previous day the room had not been cleaned. She tried to argue that the do not disturb sign was up. When I pointed out that it was down before noon, she countered with, “well. If you had problems you shpould have reported them earlier, I would have cleaned the room myself” I pointed out our previous front desk complaints, her answer, ‘well sometimes the communication with the front desk is not the best”????? There folks have no clue about customer service, will not stay here again. What happened? New management???

We have stayed here before and obviously felt it was good enough to try again. The staff were very nice, the room clean and comfortable. WE had asked to be away from the pool and ended up as far away as possible but this put us close to the main drag - sirens all night long. Our bad, and will qualify for our next visit.

Witnessed front desk staff treating another guest very rudely. No manager on site to assist. The climate control was horrible, condensation on the furniture. Returned at 3:30pm to an unclean room. Left without staying our second night, no concern by the staff whatsoever.

I stayed with a dog. The place was very clean. The people were friendly. The bed was not comfortable, you could feel the springs. I'm not usually a picky person, but I sure do like a good night sleep, so the bed quality is important to me. I didn't like the fact that they had a Keurig instead of being able to make a pot of coffee. I only wanted to make 1 pot and fill my mug and leave I left at 1:30 in the morning, so I can't tell you what the breakfast was like. I've stayed in other suites and this isn't a true suite. The computer was doen when I left, so I have to check my card later to make sure the charge was correct.

The hotel was clean but the room/fixtures very dated. The bed was soft and terrible to sleep on. Linens were rough and pillows crappy. We went for cheap so can't complain too much. Front desk staff was nice.

The overall experience was OK but on our second night we returned to the hotel in the evening to find that our room was not cleaned. No bed made, no garbage removed, and no clean towels. The front desk was informed but said that there is nothing that could be done due to the late hour. I asked if I could be compensated for the mess but was told that that could only be done by a manager who was not on site at the time. He was also unavailable at check out so we got NO form of compensation for the unclean room.

...the excessively noisy children in the pool at around 9:30 in the evening. I just wanted to sit and relax in the hot tub after a long drive and had to endure overly noisy kids. Their mother was also in the pool area and she did not tell them to be quiet or anything, even after she saw me put my hands over my ears more than once. Other than this I had no issues. I Would stay here again if I'm in Madison again.

Our group stays here after a 200 mile relay running event. We love the facilities, location and surrounding restaurants. We always have an enjoyable experience here. The fresh breakfast is awesome and even uses real eggs instead of the dehydrated stuff.

We stopped at this best western for an overnight stay along the rout of our trip. It is a little old, but clean and the front desk staff was very accommodating.The breakfast would of been really good except they seemed to run out early.

This is a very nice and convenient place to stay in Madison. The rooms are all very spacious and comfortable. I thought the bed was one of the most comfortable I had slept in. Plenty of parking and nice facilities. Will stay again.

Check-in was quick, but no recognition for Rewards Club Members. The questions I had upon check-in were answered quickly, but by a guest in lobby as Desk Staff were not knowledgeable of their motel. The room was comfortable, but very disappointed that the sink in the bathroom barely drained and had to take breaks when using it to prevent it from overflowing. Breakfast was disappointing to say the least. With a serving window and cook, all that was offered was standard scrambled eggs, over seasoned breakfast potatoes and overcooked paper thin bacon. If that wasn't enough, you had to work around incoming employees grabbing their breakfast and hanging out with the cook. Surprisingly, both coffee pots in the breakfast room were out of coffee and instead of the cook taking care of it (or catching it before it happened) he left to go get someone else to make the coffee. In contrast the West Towne Best Western has a cook that will prepare made to order breakfast in addition to what is set out for breakfast. Perhaps this franchise should take notes from their neighbor. In room, where there are usually many local restaurant options for delivery or take out. This facility only has a menu from a contracted service (800 number and location number). The items were overpriced and limited. When the service was contacted, they notified us that the kitchen serving this motel was closed early this evening due to internal problems. They recommended we contact the front desk for options. I would highly recommend the West Towne Suites or one of the many other options in the area.

VERY disappointed. The room smelled .The blanket hidden between the two white sheets was old and disgusting. Air heat unit rattled and was inefficient. Carpet was old and questionable. We wont be back.

The hotel staff are very friendly & helpful. Very comfortable & had a good size breakfast area. The pool area was nice & inviting. Walking distance to shopping & restaurants. Great value too. They do not have laundry facilities

First impression was clean which it was. Excepted our dog without a problem. Nice to have a complementary full breakfast meal. Liked the later checkout time. Only stayed 1 night but would not to hesitate to stay longer. Will definitely stay there again.

There are so many restaurants and retailers in close proximity, many within walking distance! It next to a large shopping center with major retailers. We have stayed at this hotel several times now when we have business at the State Capital. The hotel is located on a road that leads right to the Capital building. As you are driving on Washington Avenue you can see the Capital building in your windshield straight ahead.

We booked our night hoping to be close to our son and the campus. Unfortunately, we were given the wrong room. The hotel is off the beaten path and away from the campus. The room was not clean. The mattress needed to be replaced long before we arrived. We were unable to pull out the bed from the couch. When we tried to go to the hot tub, it was filled with 20 -25 high school students (State Wrestling Weekend). They were very well mannered but it made it impossible to use anything but a very cold pool. Around 4 am our smoke alarm began to beep. We called down for assistance. We needed to replace the battery as they did not have any help. Breakfast was fine, but very limited options for vegans. The employees were kind, but could do nothing to help. I would not stay here again.

I have stayed in many different places and hotels over the past several years. I have good and bad experiences in great and not so great hotels. I have found the decor can be great but it does not define the character of the staff and setting. The staff here ate great and from what I can tell, they actually care about their work and making guests feel welcomed.

We came here for one night while traveling, mainly due to reviews we read and the price. First the pros: 1. The staff was outstanding. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The cook at breakfast even came out to ask if everything was OK. 2. We got a room with a walk in shower and it was roomy and very nice. Not like standing in a tub with a trickle of water. 3. The entire hotel was clean and very nicely decorated. 4. Our room was well laidout, clean, and comfortable. 5. The breakfast was very well stocked and delicious.(see # 5 in Cons below) Now the cons: 1. The lobby was cold and the handicapped door switch was hanging open with wires exposed, making the door very hard to open. 2. The room heater, while it worked fine, had lots of cold air leaking in around the frame and the windows above. 3. The coffee was mediocre at best. We carry Starbucks packets, so we were OK. 4. There weren't any tea bags anywhere. 5. Breakfast was from 6-10. We got there at 6:20 and all of the "hot" items were at about room temperature. By 6:40 they were hot and very good. It seemed clear that they are cooked ahead (or maybe purchased packaged) and then heated up by the warming table. 6. While the shower was very nice, the shower curtain was about 3" above the floor and ragged along the bottom. This allowed shower water to spread across the floor and leave a pond in the bathroom. 7. Bed linens were very coarse (kind of like too much starch) and felt like sleeping on canvas. also there were 4 different patterns and textures (some soft, some coarse) among the towels and washcloths in the bathroom. All in all this place was worth what we paid. But like many Best Westerns, it suffers from a local owner trying to cut corners, but we won't be back.

I have been working a project in the Madison area. This is the third project here in the last two years. I stayed at other places the first two projects and the previous stays were not nearly as nice as this one! Great location and rate!

This hotel was very clean and well cared for. Our check in was fast and both workers behind the desk were friendly and helpful. The pool area was clean and spacious. Our rooms were big and clean and smelled fresh. We enjoyed the breakfast and the checkout was very speedy. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling on the East side of Madison.

Great hotel for the price. Arrived late around 9:30 p.m. traveling back to Minnesota from Ohio. Easy check-in and helpful front desk. Clean and comfortable rooms and decent breakfast. Was out by 8 a.m. the next morning so it was a very quick overnight, but it was a good place to sleep with lots of dining options surrounding. Easy on and off highway.

This is a wonderful hotel to stay at in Madison. It is close to East Town Mall and other stores also restaurants. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast in the morning is terrific. They have a wide choice of both hot and cold items. They offer coffee all day long in the lobby. They have a nice size swimming pool and a hot tub.

Beautifully decorated for the Christmas holiday, nice clean rooms good water pressure. Had a little trouble with cable channels possibly due to weather? Very nice, well presented and adequately stocked breakfast. Have stayed at the particular hotel on 2 occasions and will definitely stay again.The bed was a bit firm for me but no real complaint.

We stay at Best Westerns quite often in our travels, and East Towne did not disappoint. The rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable. Although we did not partake of the breakfast, it looked to be very substantial. Our only concern was the bathtub not having a non-slip surface.

Good value but pool water was extremely cold, TV stations were basic cable only...no specialty channels which made for very boring evenings in the room. The T-Paper and kleenex were like sand paper...very low quality and not comfortable at all. . Close to a good mall, many restaurants, and expressway access.

Super clean rooms, Incredible breakfast. Iv'e stayed many times over several years and have enjoyed my stay every time. The staff is great and the location is second to none. Texas Roadhouse, Hooters and several other establishments are merely steps away. The gentleman who does the breakfast is great. If you are traveling through Madison, stay here. I always do.

We've stayed at this Best Western a few times. Especially convenient location for early morning flight. The staff was very accommodating in ensuring we had a clean, dust-free room in consideration of my wife's allergies. They offer one of the best complimentary breakfasts around: with all the usual offerings, plus sausage AND bacon! Great!!

Our room was conveniently laid out, with the small living room with comfortable seating and lighting, separated by a partial wall from the beds. This arrangement allowed us to entertain visitors without feeling like we were in a "motel" with two beds as the central attraction.

We travel to northern MN from southern FL every year with 2 large dogs. Finding decent pet friendly hotels that are still people friendly can be hard to come by. This place is good for both. Very clean, easy to find off the interstate and has plenty of food options near by. There is a very large grass area beside hotel. Parking lot is small but has well lit areas.

I was very pleased with this hotel. It is pretty nice, there is a lot they offer on site & they allow dogs. The location of the hotel is great. There are many things to do and places to eat within walking distance. The capital is about 10 minutes away and easy to get to.

If you're looking for a nice place to stay that won't break your budget, the Best Western at East Towne is a great choice! Very pleasant and hard working staff, clean and quieter than i expected! The breakfast buffet has lots of choices, good quality and something everyone can be happy with!

We were driving from Minnesota to Ohio and decided to stop mid-way between at the last minute. Because of the size of our party (9) we needed 2 rooms for cheap and the suite set up was perfect! I called 2 days before needing the room to talk to the staff, the gentleman on the phone was very friendly but was experiencing some difficulty with their online registration system. He stated he would call me back but never did, however when I called the next day the woman I spoke with was able to find and confirm the reservation (under the wrong/misspelled name but otherwise fine). We arrived rather late and the lobby smells overwhelmingly of chlorine because of the placement of the pool but the staff was very friendly and acommidating. The rooms were a little dirty (carpet) and left our feet black when walking on them but otherwise everything was in clean and working order. Breakfast the next morning was standard continental and there was plenty of seating. Overall just what we needed as we were stopping through.

I called last minute to find a room. The original BW didn't have any availability. The lady offered to call the other BW's to check if they could help. She found a room. Everything was clean and the staff was very knowledgeable. They even allow pets! I made it in time to see the birth of my granddaughter!

I stayed here for one night and it was okay; but nothing was memorable. The staff were very nice and accommodating and our room was nice. It had all the amenities you could want: microwave, keurig, and fridge. However, there were some stains on the white towels, that were a bit gross. I'd probably try another hotel if I were to stay in the area again.

We stayed here one night. The hotel was clean and bright. The staff were pleasant and helpful. We did have a problem with our TV but a helpful man sorted it out. The breakfast was quite nice, lots of choices. The hotel was easy to find and parking was no bother.

Breakfast was the highlight of my stay. There is something for every taste bud. They even have gluten free cereal. The bread was gluten free and tastes awesome! The bed was very soft and quite comfortable.

In town to visit relatives on the East Side & found a good deal thru Booking.com. Hotel was easy to find, clean, ample parking & we were able to check in immediately. Staff was very helpful. The room was fine - typical hotel - clean & quiet but did smell a little funky. Would have been nice if the windows opened. We didn't use the pool because the area was dark & felt a little creepy. Disappointed about that & the jacuzzi looked like it wasn't all that powerful. Complimentary breakfast was nice, standard fare, cooked fresh & available in a bright cheery cafe-area. Will probably stay here again next time we come to Madison.

For the most part, this hotel gets good grades. It is well located, clean, and comfortable. There is a half wall separating the bed from the sitting area, which is nice when one person is sleeping and the other is nice. But the hotel has some flaws. For me the worst was that it had a step-in tub/shower that had a slippery bottom and no safety handholds. There was a towel rack, but it was flimsy. For senior citizens or anyone with a mobility problem, this is dangerous and a law suit waiting to happen. The room was also poorly equipped to handle the ubiquitous devices that need to be plugged in by a USB port or 110 outlet. There was only one outlet on the desk or other raised area and there were no USB connections. I needed to use the guest computer in the lobby, but it was balky and somewhat hard to figure out. The free breakfast was OK , but was long on starch and short on melons or other fresh fruit other than the standard bananas, apples, and oranges. Because of the lack of attention to shower safety and very outdated power connections, I teetered between a 3 and 4 rating, but decided that it is a marginal 4. Note that the turnoff on Annamark Dr. off Rte. 151 is poorly marked and it and the ramp to the Interstate are easy to confuse and send you on a one exit joint down I90/94.

We stayed because of excellent price we received and the well it looks . Looks first of all, clean with good appearance. Fresh smell, roomy. We went to Wisconsin Dell's and choose to stay at Best Western and enjoyed it very much

I like this hotel. It is conveniently located near restaurants and shopping and the highway. We stayed over and then went to the Dane County Farmer's Market, had a great time. A substantial breakfast offering makes this hotel even more appealing. Everything was tidy and hot, highlighted by the crispy, delicious bacon. The breakfast we had would have cost us $10+ each at a restaurant, so I feel we got great value from this hotel choice.

Eric and Jeff are awesome guest service representatives. The only thing I wasn't really impressed with were the hot top jets and the night auditor was sitting down and wasn't very helpful in the morning. The breakfast was good for continental breakfast. The only thing I was looking forward to was sausage links and hey had those. My dog was able to stay with me and he felt very comfortable for having separation anxiety.

This was a large comfortable clean room for the price. Located near many restaurants and stores. The inconvenience was there was no guest laundry and I had 3 days of travel clothes to wash. We also had a thunderstorm and TV was out for a while as was the internet. The breakfast was above average for a free breakfast.

I stayed in this hotel for one night after visiting Madison in a road trip. The hotel locates right next to a big shopping mall area and is close to the high way, So its location is definitely great. The outside appearance of this hotel is hardly impressive, and the room is typical of some out-dated BW establishments. But the price is reasonable for my purpose so I have no complaint, and their breakfast service is also better than my average BW stay.

We stayed here one night. It was okay, nothing great, nothing horrible. The front desk was very friendly, the room was clean, the breakfast was ok, next door to restaurants and shopping.Could use some updating.

I don't think I would stay here again. I needed to find a hotel because my flight to Chicago was canceled. This place had availability so I booked it because it had a shuttle to/from the airport. Upon arrival I found out you needed to book it 24 hours I advance. That doesn't help much in my situation. Got to my room, a queen with a couch. Sat on the couch to watch tv and it smelled like puke. The room had a different smell too it too. I'm not going to stay here again.

We've stayed at this hotel twice when attending concerts at the Majestic. Front desk is friendly and accommodating. The hotel is quiet and conveniently located near food and shopping. Rooms are nice and spacious. Will definitely stay again! Price is a good value.

I stayed here recently while in town for business. The front desk staff was very friendly at check-in and offered good recommendations for places to eat that where close by. The room was clean and quiet and the price was reasonable.

The outside looks like a retirement home, but it's a gem on the inside. We stayed three nights and were very pleased with the suite arrangement. Other friends were staying there and it gave us a chance to visit with them in the room. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast area was adequately staffed to keep the food stocked. The location right off Washington Ave. gave us easy access to the downtown area. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat!

We just had 8 rooms at this hotel this past weekend for a family wedding. Our stay was wonderful. Check-in was smooth. The hotel was clean and quiet, with comfortable beds. Breakfast was exceptional....lots of hot, fresh food and a large dining area. For the cost of this hotel, it was an excellent bargain!

This was a nice hotel. The rooms are huge and the rate is inexpensive for what you get. You have a smaller bathroom which leads into the desk and chair area, then you have a partitioned sitting area with a coach and coffee table, last the bed. It has a refrigerator and microwave. The pool and sauna are wonderful. The breakfast had both bacon and sausage. I do not remember seeing the biscuits and gravy. It did have nice eggs and fried potatoes. They have a full shop of food and other things you may need. I did have a communication issue but they did side with me. This was refreshing to see. In this case they could have fought me to the very end but they did not instead they gave me the option of moving to another room. I am thinking seriously about staying at Best Westerns in the future due to the two experiences I had I had with Best Western. They also have a security service checking in from time to time. Close to a lot of stores including grocery stores as well as the freeway. The air conditioner works well but I would not recommend dropping the temperature. I did this and the room heated up fast.

Highly recommend this hotel, quiet, comfortable beds and pillows, room very spacious. Multiple restaurants are within a short walk away, easy access to the highways, breakfast was very good, shopping center is also within walking distance.

Nothing outstanding for this hotel - very typical for B Western. Nice location with restaurants and some shopping within walking distance. Not far from the airport. The breakfast is the same ole' layout and options you usually get. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The pool came in handy for the kids but found 2 huge spiders which put us all on alert! :/ Not a do over for me.

This hotel offers good value for price. The public areas and rooms are clean. Hotel staff are courteous. Breakfast was adequate not great. The inclusion of healthier items, more fruits and whole grain breads, would be appreciated.

Comfortable room and good amenities. Location was also convenient to where we wanted to stay. Breakfast was also one of the better ones we've ever experienced at a hotel. Overall, we were happy with our stay.

I was a little nervous when I arrived and saw that there were many families arriving for tournaments (wrestling and gymnastics). Having traveled many times with my son's hockey team, I know that the kids can be loud and rambunctious. My room was very nice. It was huge, clean, and very quiet. I did not hear anyone in adjoining rooms or in the hallway. I did not get back to my room until midnight, so perhaps everyone was asleep. The continental breakfast was just ok. The eggs were dry, but the bacon was cooked to perfection. Pretty much on par with the continental breakfast at almost every hotel I have stayed at.

Great staff clean rooms, great service. pool was a bit cold, but whirlpool was nice and hot. Location is great and many food options close to walking distance. Plenty of parking as well as a very clea n appearance outside and inside

The breakfast served here is really good. I was in Madison for business and this was a nice perk from the hotel to start my day. The hot tub is waiting for you when you want to relax at the end of the day.

The hotel is very average in accommodations and services. We were awakened at midnight by some men yelling Mother ______ and it sounded like they were fighting in a room somewhere near our room. This went on until 2:00 am, I had enough and called the front desk. Told them they needed to investigate immediately. I got back into bed and about 20 minutes later someone was pounding at our door. I was scared to death and did not go near the door. I had no idea if this was one of the hooligans or what. They finally left but the swearing went on until after 3:00am. I was exhausted and had to get up early for a flight out of town. I just stayed up until we checked out at 6:00 am. I told the front desk guy of the situation and he said security investigated. No mention of I'm sorry or anything else. There is no reason the front desk could not have called up to our room instead of pounding on our door. They should have been combing the hotel for these trouble makers instead of keeping me awake. If I could plainly hear them why couldn't the manager? Maybe he was scared to throw them out. I will never stay at this hotel again. It seems these hotels on the East side seem to attract a rough crowd. Next time I will stay by the Alliance Energy Center as I've never had anything happen like this in those hotels.

I thought the Best Western East Towne Suites was an average hotel at best. The furniture in the room seemed to be outdated but it worked. The bathroom was extremely small. The door to the bathroom basically hit's the front of the toilet when opened. Water pressure was extremely low in the shower and had to hold the handle down on the toilet the whole entire time in order for the toilet to flush fully. The Wi-Fi was terrible, couldn't stay connected longer than 5 minutes and kept cutting out. The staff was very friendly, check in and out was super fast. The free breakfast was very good in my opinion. Had a nice selection to choose from which included eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles and other foods. The hotel was very close to restaurants and the highway so it's located in a nice area.

Edit review 4.0 star rating 3/12/2018 We were in a crunch when it came time to have showings after our house went on the market, we needed to find a place that would accommodate cats and give us a late checkout so we wouldn't have to pay for an extra day. The staff at Best Western East Towne Suites really came through for us. They had a very nice room available and allowed us to have a late checkout on our last day so we could be comfortable while we waited to get back into our house in the afternoon. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the staff is very thoughtful and attentive. They have a good breakfast (included!) and snacks and beverages for sale (which is very convenient if you're needing to tend to your pets). I'd like to send a thanks to Ann, Chris and Zak for taking such good care of us!

Spent one night while in Madison for an event. Although the hotel was fully booked when we stayed we had an excellent experience. All front desk staff we met when checking in were very friendly. We were pleasantly surprised by the one bedroom suite. It was spacious and, most important to me, very clean. Bed was comfortable! The hot breakfast was excellent. Despite the large volume of people, the eggs, bacon, sausage, and potatoes were kept full. Also available was a waffle maker as well as assorted cereals, breads, rolls, and pastry. Were very impressed with the breakfast. Tables were kept clean and staff was friendly. Location was right next to East Towne Mall as well as other shops and restaurants. Would definitely recommend and wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

Room was dirty, beat up, and dated. The linens for the fold out couch had holes and the blanket was dirty. The carpet had sections cut out and replaced. Mold on the bathroom ceiling and in the refrigerator. TVs only had limited channels and no HD, only 480i. Location was convenient, but that was really the only benefit.

I stayed at the BW Town Suites while in Madison, WI for business. The location was in a very handy mall area, with many choices for food, fuel and shopping. The hotel was very easy to find and we were welcomed by the front desk staff as we entered the front entrance.. Checking in was pleasant, quick and informative about the hotels amenities. I was very disappointed to here that the pool and atrium area were closed for our entire thre day stay due to annual maintenance; as a daily swimmer I would have used their Amazing pool atrium area had it been open; it really is very nice, with a southern exposure and large open area surrounding the pool and hot tub. My stay experience was very good and a big thank you to the helpful staff. I will definitely stay there again when in Madison, if their pool area is open!

The suite we had at this hotel was very nice. They have nice towels and wash cloths, a firm mattress on the bed, a large TV, and our room was very clean. Our room was on the first floor and close to the indoor pool which had a chlorine smell when we went down the hallway to our room, but, there was NO chlorine smell in the room at all. For the money we spent for our stay, this hotel is an excellent choice when in the Madison area. We would definitely stay there again.

We decided to do a quick get away to Madison. We found East Towne Suites and got a good price. The check in was great, they greeted us and we were checked in quickly. The queen suite we had was clean. The couch was a bit stained but we never even sat in it. The bed was comfy. The breakfast was very good. The dining room was clean. The man never stopping cleaning it up. We would return if ever in Madison again.

Our family get together at the Holidays was at the East Towne Best Western. We rented a meeting room and had about a dozen rooms. It was fabulous. The staff was extremely helpful and even brought in a TV so we could watch Wisconsin in the Orange Bowl. The pool was nice; breakfast was good; the rooms spacious & clean; and the beds very comfortable. It was great value for the money and we had a wonderful time.

In town from texas on business never been in this area before the hotel was very helpful as far as letting us know what's in the area and they were very friendly, hotel is located with in walking distance of 4 or 5 restaurants as well as convient stores i would defiantly stay here again

Excellent service, facility, room and amenities. The East Towne Suites hotel is 3 minutes off of the Interstate, and right on East Washington, close to the mall and many restaurants, with a straight drive directly into downtown Madison.

This is a nice, clean property with a nice helpful and friendly staff. They have a good size pool for the kids and hot tub for the adults as well as a decent (although basic) breakfast in the morning. The room and bathroom were clean, the bed comfortable and everything worked. This was our 3rd stay at this property and we'll likely stay again.

We stayed here one night while traveling. When we checked in we were greeted with an efficient and courteous front desk person (sorry I forgot to get the name). The room was large and super clean with a very comfortable bed. It's a great location with restaurants and shopping nearby. Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent room, breakfast and overall value. But the bathtubs are a lawsuit waiting to happen- slippery and no safety bars. Apart from that, the remainder of our experience would rate a 5, and we definitely would stay there again.

We stayed for an overnight in December - room was excellent, complete with a sitting area. Staff was very friendly and a nice continental breakfast, as well. Room rate was also a good value - not sure if it was the off season, & rates are higher in the summer months or not. We would definitely stay again, if in the area!

We always get good treatment when we stay there. We have been going their for years in December for our girls weekend out for Christmas shopping. We always get connecting rooms which works our well for us.

This was a very affordable stay and with a king bed which was very comfortable. Check in was fast and we had absolutely no problems during our stay. Our room was very nice and large with a separate living area.

We were extremely pleased to have a room on the ground floor with a patio door. It was very convenient for getting our dog in and out of the room for walks and potty breaks. Beyond that, the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were all friendly and helpful.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and highly recommend it. There several nice places to eat within walking distance. Nice places to shop are also very close. It is easy to get on and off of the highway.

We stayed at this hotel over Thanksgiving. Pros: Great value for the price. Very clean quiet room. Comfortable bed. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Easy check in and out. Nice hot breakfast. Coffee and cream available pretty much all of the time; little store has just about anything you could need. Cons: TV was not high def; shower stream was a little weak; hotel is older and in need of some TLC.

Professional and friendly staff. Good attitude, Clean. Close to the Airport (about 5 miles) with shuttle bus service. Malls and department stores are nearby. Breakfast is reasonable in varieties and quality.

I come to Madison a few times each year to attend football games and each time I stay at the Best Western East Towne. It is comfortable, clean and reasonable. The rooms are quiet, the continental breakfast is fine and the staff is helpful and courteous.

Liked that we could have late check out. Did the race, able to shower and feel better! Much Appreciated!! Coffee wasn't always available. I would recommend telling them. There was a snack area to purchase. We were told breakfast wasn't available before the race, however, it was available. Room was clean and price was great!

Just a quick trip to Madison, Wi. for a concert on the Halloween weekend. If you haven't done Halloween in Madison, you haven't done Halloween. Nice facility, convenient location and better than average breakfast.

Very nice hotel with excellent free breakfast. Caring and helpful staff. Will stay here when ever in Madison to visit family. Room has comfortable beds and good lighting for reading etc. Has a fast and easy wifi access. Over all was a pleasant experience. Was easy access to highway 150.

My stay started poorly with the room card not opening the door. Later that night I tried to adjust the airco/heat and the controls were so old and crude that it would either be much too hot or much too cold and very slow to respond to a setting. There was no way to get them set without trial and error and taking a long time to find out what the output would be with each try.

The Best Western is about 10-15 minutes from the airport. We had a very early morning flight out so this hotel was a good choice. Check-in was smooth. The room was nice, with good TV, coffee maker, fridge and microwave. Good wifi. Bed was pretty comfortable, but a little to soft for my liking. We really liked the many choices of good restaurants within walking distance. Nice little in-hotel store with basics at reasonable prices. We left too early in the morning to avail of the breakfast, but the breakfast room looked large and neatly arranged. They have a nice indoor pool, but didn't mop up the dripping water left by kids very well in the elevator and lobby areas. Overall, a good choice for our needs. Would be glad to stay again.

Nice convenient hotel with friendly staff. Kitchen attendant was Latino and had talk radio on in Spanish, which was annoying. The foold was ok. I would stay here again, like the nearby shopping and restaurants

The East Towne Best Western is conveniently located on the east side of Madison and very close to the East Towne shopping mall and many restaurants. It is also just off Rte 151, East Washington Avenue which makes it easy to drive to events and sites in Madison. It is 10 minutes from the airport. Rooms are nicely appointed. Staff is courteous and helpful. Fitness center has a treadmill, elliptical, recumbent bike and weight machine. Breakfast is decent, and there are other options close by if it doesn't hit your spot.(e.g., You can easily walk to Panera's)

Front desk staff were very helpful and courteous. Greeted everyone who came through the door. Room was clean and nicely appointed. Breakfast buffet is adequate. Kevin, who works the breakfast buffet on the weekend worked very hard to keep the food items supplied and tables clean. The location of this hotel is good, within East Towne Mall area and near Rte 151, East Washington Ave.

The staff at this hotel were very nice and helpful. The guy who helped in the breakfast was very nice and helpful. I made it a point to go back to my room and get a couple of dollars to tip him because it didn't look like many people had. It's a shame because he did a great job.

I absolutely was not treated as a gold Rewards member. The staff was lackadaisical and I was put in a handicapped room where everything is designed for someone in a wheel chair. When you're six three, that can make shaving awkward. The decor was shabby and obviously in need of upkeep. I spent as little time in the room as possible.

Rooms were good and continental breakfast was very good. Hotel staff was pleasant and helpful with restaurant referral. They are also pet friendly!!!! Would definitely stay there again if in the area.

The area was very expensive so we selected the Best Western based on its competitive price point. I was actually pleasantly surprised how well-kept the rooms were. It had the "clean" feeling when you walked in. Breakfast was decent offering complimentary hot and cold choices. Staff was very friendly. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

We were in Madison for an overnight stay, and didn't want to pay the high rates for a downtown hotel. I had stayed here a few years ago and was pleased that the quality was still good, especially for the reasonable rate. The only disappointment was that the hot tub in the pool area was barely warm, but we didn't make an issue of it. Our room was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space. Everything worked as it should. The location also makes it easy to access 90/94 or head out on HWY 151.

This hotel was just a stopping ground and meeting place for a large group of my friends. So I didn't get to explore the area but the hotel was absolutely beautiful inside and out. The room was huge, VERY clean, and the bed was so comfortable. The bathroom was exceptional and the facilities were nice. The best part was that it had a mini convenient store inside. Fortunately they carried contact solution because I had forgotten mine. They even sell small bottles of booze, and beer too. The pool/hot tub were wonderful! I would definitely come back and stay here the next time I am in Madison. The location seems perfect and the staff was friendly and nice.

Very nice and quiet, convenient to many stores and restaurants. Confusing street layout for the East Towne shopping complex, but a great variety of stores. Close to the major highways, easy to get on my merry way again. The desk clerk was able to give us directions to specific businesses in the local area.

The pool area was nice, hot tub was good and hot, pool was nice. Staff is friendly. Beds are like wood planks--that are bowed. Did not sleep at all. Lighting was so dim you couldn't see a thing without the curtains open and after dark you are just screwed. They should give out night vision goggles at the desk. Door lock was broken. Refrigerator was off when we got there. After instructing me how to turn it on over the phone--and me failing because I had to take the whole refrigerator out of the cabinet and in that darkened room, I could NOT see what I was doing--the clerk came and did it. But it didn't get fully cool until the next morning, so food didn't keep overnight. Pillows were ridiculous. Squished down to nothing--no support at all. Breakfast was a nightmare. Very friendly staff, but piss poor food quality. This is the last time I fall for "full hot breakfast" included. I'd rather fast than eat that chemical and corporate, bottom quality food. Only really good thing I can say about the place, besides the friendly staff, is that it has good sound proofing. We were there on a Saturday night with rowdy teenagers in the pool until 11AM and people coming and going in the middle of the night and we really couldn't hear it. Only reason I know is because I couldn't sleep all night on those rotten beds so I was in the bathroom a few times trying to read(only decent lighting) and from there I COULD hear all the doors slamming at 1 and 2 in the morning, But not from the main room itself.

This hotel is in a good location (easy on & off of freeway). Nice hotel all around with the exception (for me) of bed being too hard and pillows for the Flintstones. I would stay here again, but bring my own pillows. The give you plenty of towels, so I didn't have to ask for extra as I usually have to do no matter what hotel I stay at. I asked about Veterans' discount and they gave me a lower rate. Afterwards I checked on line and could have gotten that same rate had I booked it myself (apparently not really a discount then, right?)

I am picky about hotels, and I really like this place! The room was clean and bed was super comfortable. Our little grand daughters (who live in Madison) stay with us in our room sometimes, the pull out bed is perfect for them. Also, the coffee table with couch and other chairs was a great place for us to play board games with our grand daughters. The pool and pool area is big and so inviting. The breakfast had an actual chef making the eggs and sausage. Also, beers are $1 in the hotel store. We didn't have any but, they were there. We're going this Friday and Sunday, excited knowing we have a comfortable place that we can stay at now.

This property is close to interstate, shopping and large selection of restaurants. Easy access to downtown & UW Campus. Wonderful hot tub. Great pantry of snacks & beverages. $1 domestic bears, Can't beat that! Our 6th stay at his Best Western...we'll be back.

This is my choice of hotel when staying in Madison area. It's clean, well-maintained, has a great, hot breakfast, and very reasonable rates. Have not used the pool yet, but will on some future trip. The queen suite is the way to go - plenty of room for 2.

We originally made our reservations for a downtown hotel that I used to stay in when traveling to Madison on business. We were staying for a three night, Labor Day weekend visit. The hotel reservation was about $1,000 for the weekend. We just couldn't deal with that and started looking on TripAdvisor for something more reasonable. The location on the BW looked good. Easy access to downtown, but also near many far east side restaurants and shopping opportunities. The price was so very much less, however, that I really feared we were going to end up in a dump. Couldn't have been farther from the truth. The hotel was well appointed and very clean. The rooms were huge. We had a King bed with desk and chair and a separate sitting area with couch, two comfortable chairs and a coffee table. The room included a small refrigerator which was nice and cold when we checked in and a microwave. The bath had nice granite or marble counters and was very clean. The beds were not the most comfortable I have ever slept in, but were adequate. I had an opportunity to enjoy the pool on Saturday afternoon and, for awhile, had it all to myself. On a holiday weekend! Breakfasts were very good. On Sunday I got there 15 minutes before closing time and expected to find empty or cold hot food serving dishes. Not so. The staff was refilling the eggs, potatoes and sausages only minutes before the 10:00 AM closing. Very nice surprise! It is also dog friendly, which we did not need this time, but we will remember that for the future. Would definitely stay here again. Great value and fun stay.

This hotel is very nice. Have stayed 3 separate times. Will probably stay here again when in the area. It was near car show we attended and had access to trailer parking. Staff was very helpful and attentive.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights--super location, easy to find and we enjoyed a great stay! Hats off to the staff for one of the cleanest pools and pool areas I've ever seen. It was grand to take a cool dip after a hot day traveling. The perfect ending to a hectic day. You provided all the towels and comfy chairs, too! The bed was soft without being hard and the room relaxing and comfortable. The hotel seemed near capacity, yet it was quiet at all hours. The complimentary breakfast was homemade and delicious. Thank you for a great stay!

Very nice for the price,excellent free breakfast, large spacious room. Would definitely stay here again. We were in town for a family wedding and was a short drive from near the Capitol. Only complaint is, the pool water was pretty cold.

The hotel is right off the expressway so it was a great stop for a short night say during a road trip up north. The room was very clean. The included breakfast had both hot and cold options. This is definitely a great option in Madison. It's a bit more expensive than other options, but I definitely understand why.

Nothing wrong with this hotel, but certainly nothing special. The location is good if you're interested in shopping at the mall. Suite is a bit of a stretch. There is a living room "area", but only one tv, so if you're traveling with kids (as I was), be prepared to watch Cartoon Network until the wee hours. Plenty of fast food options around, easy access to highways...if you're looking for inexpensive, easy and no frills, this is it. Breakfast is included, which I like.

This hotel is by far the best of all the best western's I have seen. The room is very spacious, awesome customer service, wonderful continental breakfast and on and on. I have been here so many times and I never had any problem or a complaint. I think out of like 15 times I was here, only once my TV remote did not work but was taken care within minutes. I recommend this place to everyone visiting Madison.

I stayed overnight for business in June, 2017. This is the 4th time I've stayed at this property and I always enjoy it. The location is great, the breakfast is real good and everything is clean. I'd consider this to be my "go to" hotel when in Madison. I had breakfast with a bunch of senior citizens on a tour from Canada, they were a riot!

old BW hotel. I don't even think I saw a BW sign on the property. rooms had old decor. bathroom is old with super short vanity counter top. paper thin bath towels. Not like the newer BW hotels you see sometimes.

always friendly staff and cleanliness. the 2 greatest things you want in a motel. you have great access to all shopping and dining. the motel is very sound proof so are able to get your sleep at night. overall just a first pick for me!

We stayed here for one night with 2 teenagers. The 2 beds plus pull out couch were great for a family of 4. We were able to spread out and not feel so crowded. The breakfast was quick and easy. Everything was clean and it was stress free.

It is very hard to find a high quality moderately priced hotel in the Madison area. This one is my favorite. It is fireproof construction (a rarity these days). The breakfast is above average for this price range and the staff is very accommodating. While it is close enough to be seen from the highway, it is far enough away that the highway is never heard. They have a small store off the lobby, too. It's rare at this price point to be able to purchase beer, wine and spirits in the lobby.

We went to WI to visit family. Due to driving from TX, they allowed us to check in at 1pm, because there was a room ready. I've stayed at this hotel once before in July of 2013. I was happy to see some improvements had been done. This is a very old hotel but nice at the same time. They have a wonderful indoor pool - which we used at least once a day. The hot tub was out dated for sure, And the water in it seemed to be to hot to acclimate to. The rooms are clean, the staff is extremely nice and accomendating. It stays really quiet in the room. Shower had pretty good pressure. We used the fitness room daily also, but is very small for a hotel that size. I had mentioned in a review the last time that breakfast was good, but it was the same thing every day. They changed that, now there are two types of breakfast they alternate between every other day. I believe they could do more with their breakfast choices. Such as fresh fruit, omlets, more of a cereal selection, sausage patties instead of links every day...stuff like that. In other words - great hotel - just needs some tweaking to have some of the amenities match the size and occupancy of the hotel.

This was a convenient place to stay on our Road Trip. It was easy to get downtown Madison for dinner and drinks. There was breakfast served. It is located right off the interstate so easy place to stop for one night.

We had recently had good luck with a couple of other Best Western hotels, but this one is very tired. The sheets were worn and paper thin. The hotel lobby smells of chlorine from the pool and the room smelled like it has been a smoking room that they tried to clean. Have to rethink the BW brand as it seems there is a consistency issue.

A clean, reasonably priced, well-located - if a bit tired - traveler's hotel. I've stayed here twice now for three reasons; they allow pets, they are located right off the highway with a dozen restaurants within walking distance, and they maintain a clean property. The breakfast is above average in terms of variety, and the staff friendly and helpful (to include the desk staff). Rooms are decently appointed, with the latest Best Western upgrades on linens. Against that, this is just a tired property. One is likely to find a carpet repair, a loose piece of hardware, a damaged baseboard - and in a muggy summer - an interior humidity that seemed only slightly better than that of the outdoors. The air conditioning functioned sufficiently to keep us cool but didn't seem to make much of an impact on the vaguely damp feel of things. It is probable that this hotel is on BW's list of properties for renovation sooner rather than later - this will be great, because the location, pet policy, and friendly staff will have infrastructure equal to them.

The manager refused to refund a booking date error I made on their website even though I did stay with them on my intended date. Anyone can make a mistake. I failed to change the default date (current date) on the website to July 14th when making the reservation the evening of July 5th. They charged me as a no-show and refused to refund it when I arrive on July 14th. I recommend not staying here as there is no forgiveness for people who make errors.

Hotel suites have half wall dividing bedroom from sitting area. Plenty of chairs. HVAC is separate units; ours had to be set quite a bit lower than normal for air, but worked. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast excellent.

Our stay was most enjoyable. While I am the type to domain about price. I would have to say great value for the dolllar. Staff was very welcoming and worked yo ensure we enjoyed our stay. Rooms were clean as was the rest of the hotel and property.

There are many Best Westerns along the highways in Wisconsin and Illinois. This is certainly among the best. There are many nice restaurants in the area or drive a little and go to the Green Lantern for Friday night Fish Fry.

Booked on Priceline, and between help at Priceline and manager Tina at hotel she stated even though it was cancelled at 8 am because my flight was cancelled they would not allow cancellation from priceline so we could be refunded.

i have returned to this property because it is predictably consistent at a very high quality level. that is so important when travelling with either friends or business associates. i keep coming back.

First if all - this hotel is immaculate - everything was beyond my expectations. The staff are so knowledgeable, nice, and informative. The free breakfast in the morning was super. Was able to make oatmeal (my favorite) and a good assortment of hot items, and a good selection of cereals, yogurts, juices, etc. The hours for the pool/hot tub are the best - 7:00 am - 11:00 pm. After breakfast, we all went swimming for an hour or more - still checked out before 11:00 am. I have stayed at other Best Westerns and have been disappointed. Well, the folks who own this property make your experience at their hotel far and above what I am used to getting. And they have a 24-hour "snack bar" with snacks, drinks, beer, ice cream, and after you are done picking out what you want, the front desk clerk appears at the snack bar window and checks you out! No overpriced pop machines!

this was a beautiful facility great to travel to the dells and save $$ good restaurant choices close by too. rate was wonderful. service of the staff was amazing would stay again and again and will refer to many people thank you

We stay at this location every time we drive from Minnesota to Indiana. Great way to break up the long drive. This location is close to restaurants, shopping, the freeway and gas stations. The pool is great. Service always good. Breakfast a plus. Accommodates 5 people which is hard to find at a great price.

Friendly staff. Good breakfast with eggs, sausage, waffles, etc with a cook on hand. Behind in maintenance with an outlet cover missing a screw, exterior door sketchy, etc. Has a nice canteen and free coffee. Our king room was a good size though not very quiet between rooms. We could hear the dig next door as it barked most of the evening. This hotel is not close to the Madison attractions most people would be interested in seeing so there was way too much driving to get downtown.

Room spotless. Had a balcony (ask for this). Bed very comfortable. Wifi worked great. Nice selection of TV channels. Convenient to shopping and dining. Just the best ever. I wish every motel was as good.

It's just ok. The beds are hard, the pool is cold & the hot tub jets weren't strong enough for me. Continental breakfast was pretty good with eggs, sausage, yogurt, cereal, breads & fruit. The whole family found plenty to get our day started. It's worth the price, but not the comfiest.

Thanks to Best Western even in Madison overall a quiet stay had bad odor coming from couch from previous guest but other than that no complaints! Rooms have been updated so that's much appreciated. Maintenance should check under shower faucet though for what appears to be mold or rust not sure. Room 322

The king suite was very roomy and all of the furniture was nice and comfortable. The hotel was quiet and was quite welcome after 10 hours on the road. The hotel has a nice gift shop where you can purchase a bottle of wine, beer, or liquor. The complimentary breakfast was warm and tasty.

First, we never did stay here. Wanted to use the hotel and made a reservation for 3 days in late June. Learned later that they booked us to arrive on the WRONG day, 24 hours before our plan. Because we did not arrive 0n that day we were charged for it anyway. The desk manager refused to acknowledge the the error was theirs, so we cancelled the reservation for the remaining days and stayed elsewhere. Lost a day's cost on their carelessness. So CAREFULLY check the hotel's confirmation email details -- they do not do so themselves.

We stayed here for three nights. We arrived quite late the first night and our room had been saved and we got exactly the type of room we asked for. The reason we chose this motel was that the price was the best of the major hotels/motels in the area. The staff was very friendly. I would lie to see an improvement in the breakfast fare. The bananas were very green, oatmeal was to have you add a packet to hot water, ran out of English muffins, no flavored cream, and the usual scrambled? eggs. Cereal could add granola also. They could stand to upgrade the beds and bathrooms as they are beginning to show their age. The motel has easy access to several chain restaurants and is just a short drive to many other finer dining experiences. Close to the interstate as well, but motel is very quiet as I heard no traffic noise. Inside the motel is equally as quiet. If one is budget minded and wishes to have bit nicer motel, this would be the place.

We stayed here one night while we did a quick visit in Madison. This hotel is very clean and comfortable. Some reviews say the decor is old, but I didn't think that at all. Our room was large and nice. Everyone who works here was friendly and did a great job. The breakfast area is large and there is a good selection of food. We didn't use the pool, but it looked well-maintained. This hotel is a short drive to the downtown area. We were very happy and would stay here again if we are ever back in Madison.

This is a nice budget friendly hotel which is close to the airport. The staff was extremely friendly and one of the front desk people Tom was very helpful. The breakfast in the morning was actually very good and had a nice selection. There are many restaurants within walking distance of this hotel. The rooms are large and they are dated or should I say preserved meaning that even though they are old they are in absolutely perfect condition. I had no issues here and would recommend this hotel in the future

Great property in keeping with Best Western standards. Room, staff etc.,as always expected. Forgot apiece pf luggage and when I called the desk the first person I spoke to identified the bag,would hang on until durther instructions.What a relief. Will be returningthat direction in about 10 days so no problem. Thank God also for Good Will to replace a few needed essentials.

This Best Western is located by a major mall and 5 miles straight to the state capital. Easy access to the interstate. Motel is clean, newly remodeled, and things WORK. I've been in places where the whirlpool chronically don't work but this was fine. Staff was eager to assist. I ate a very lite breakfast so I don't care to comment on something I didn't use much of. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Beds are good. No problems I can think of so ... stay here is a good bet and a good deal. Compared to motels BY the capital, cost is about 1/2 and rooms are as nice as any "down town". On the road; relax with easy access to interstate, relax in the pool or whirlpool. Restaurants near by of every sort.

Breakfast was the best I've had yet. The room was up to date. Great hotel especially for the price. Great customer service. The pool and spa was especially refreshing. The gym has what looks to be new equipment. Great stay!

For how much it was it was a good quality hotel. The hotel is right by the mall but easy to get to the capital. It was a very nice clean room and we also had a patio! We also swam in the pool and we really liked that it had a sunroof in parts as that made the water warmer.

This our first stay in BW, very much worrried how is it going to be? We stayed one night at BW. Friendly staffs, clean rooms. Kids love the pool area. Delicious breakfast with more choices to pick. Overall had a great time and peaceful stay.

A last minute trip (birth of a grandson). Great price for what we got in the location we wanted. King Suite was just what we wanted. Clean and very comfortable. I noticed reviews that said it was a dated property. I did not notice it at all. The bed and pillows was very comfortable. Room was clean & quiet even though we were on the first floor close to the lobby area. Of all of the hotels we have stayed in Madison, this will definitely be my new first choice when booking.

Room was good sized with separate sitting area. Furnishings were a bit dated but everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast had good cold and hot options with plenty of tables. Would return if in the area again.

Stayed as near airport and it said airport shuttle, but it only runs from 6am which was too late for me. I was told that it states it, but "most people don't read it properly"!! Tip: put it bigger and in bold! Rooms OK. Bed Okay

Strap in Everyone, because this tale of Horrific Customer Service got "TOO REAL" too quickly... Let me preface this true tale of a one star review with this: I DID make an error with my booking. I am to blame for that. Here is the Background: Seth, the manager at this Best Western has created and decided to enforce a NO-EXCEPTIONS policy for anyone booking through a third party vendor (i.e. Priceline/ Expedia/ Kayak etc... you know the websites people use to find and book hotels with that keep hotels in business etc...) and made it impossible for me to correct a simple wrong-date booking error that would not have hurt his business whatsoever. Cool, so the story goes: I booked the wrong date through Expedia, did not double check and through a stroke key error, hit submit for the wrong night. CRAP! I immediately called Expedia to try to correct. Expedia states that I could not switch the dates and the cancellation is up to Best Western. I say okay let's call Best Western quickly to see if I can get this changed...either switch the date or cancel and re-book... They still get my money and I still get to stay a night...simple, right?." I called Best Western immediately to try to correct. I was forwarded to Seth... now the call was after hours.... but he would not speak to me about the issue. He just kept repeating over and over "You have to call Expedia." Me: "Sorry to call so late, I am trying to correct this silly error (explained what happened), would I be able to so?" Seth: "You have to call Expedia" Me: "Expedia said they just spoke with you and said I would have to pay full price for the night I booked and I wanted to see if that was true?" Seth: "You have to call Expedia" Me: " Did they already talk with you? Do I have the same person that they spoke with?" Seth: .......................... Me: saying out loud "I think he hung up on me." Seth: "No I didn't.. You have to call Expedia." He would not discuss anything nor confirm his own policy over the phone. ..........This continued for a while..... it got ridiculous so I told him how unhelpful he was and ended the conversation. I contacted Best Westerns Corporate number and customer service line.. they said each Best Western has their own policy but that Expedia could sent them a fax with proof of cancellation and there really shouldn't be any problem... Basically, Best Western itself was saying that if everyone did their part.. there would be no issue with fixing this. Best Western Customer Service also called the East Towne Suites on my behalf to see if anything could be done. This story ends with a 3 way call between Me, an Expedia Supervisor and Tanya, the Best Western East Towne Suites other manager in which Tanya screamed at the Expedia Supervisor and stated "IS THIS GETTING TOO REAL FOR YOU??" discussing the non-refundable policies with third party Vendors. The mood was tense... I couldn't believe I was listening to two business professionals go at it over the phone about a dumb Policy enforced by this Hotel...the Hostility was on Best Westerns side. Clearly they had some secret hotel beef with third party vendors that I have yet to comprehend. Expedia decided to throw me a bone and find me a new hotel and pay the Best Western for my wrong booking, which was very kind of them. Expedia asked if I wanted to fix it and just stay at the Best Western to which I replied: "Absolutely Not!" I do not want to stay in a Hotel with such terrible customer service. In conclusion: JESUS SETH CHANGE YOUR POLICY. YOU NEED THIRD PARTY VENDORS TO HELP FILL YOUR ROOMS. STOP BEING RIDICULOUS AND WORK WITH PEOPLE. YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE is awful!! I will be avoiding Best Westerns from here on out and you should too.

This hotel is well located just off the highway. Close to shopping and several restaurants, this is not a bad place to spend one night as you travel through. As they say, you get what you pay for. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean. However, perhaps it is time to renovate some of the rooms as mine had a carpet that had seen better days and a vinyl plank floor that had bumps in it. The beds are in need of being changed as there definitely was a low spot in the middle. The pol appeared to be well maintained and there was plenty of exterior parking available. Good hotel when passing through.

Good enough for passing through but definitely outdated rooms. Decent breakfast wish more hotels including this one had milk to purchase when travelling with a 2 year old it's nice to know it's there if forgotten and it's later coming in and you don't know the area. But overall definitely not the best but not the worst.

We stayed for 2 weeks on holiday from the UK. The hotel is very clean and the staff are professional and friendly. The suite was well-equipped and well-presented if a little dark. We enjoyed the amenities and used the pool a lot. Having coffee ready made all day was great and the small shop is a very good idea. On the whole absolutely no complaints and would totally recommend. Oh...and the sausages and biscuits and Gravy for breakfast are amazing.

Standard hotel, price could be total $110 to be more competitive with like hotels. Good location to restaurants, shopping, and access. Meeting rooms available. Helpful staff. Hot breakfast but could use allergy ingredient list of hot items.

Family trip to Madison was enjoyed by all. Close to mall, eating, zoo, university, capital, etc. We were able to bring a pet which was important to us. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great breakfast, nice pool and hot tub. All around good experience!

We always stay at the East Towne Suites when visiting Madison, WI. The location is very easy to get to driving from the St. Louis area. Getting around Madison from the hotel is not difficult. We are able to get to all the areas in the Madison vicinity in a timely matte that is on our agenda to visit.

After 10 hour's on the road and 4.5 hour's to go we called it a night. The young lady at check in was very helpful with our need's. I asked if thry had an outside plug so I could plug in my freezer, she walked outside with me showed me where I could park so I would not inter fear with anything then when I asked about a place to eat she gave me a 10% off coupon for a close restaurant. The pool area was very spacious and well maibtained and clean. Large room and a good breakfast the next morning. If you need a place to stay in Madison, Wi this is the place.

If you're in the Madison WI area and in need of lodging, East Towne Suites is your BEST bet for a GREAT stay :-) The staff are very friendly and helpful, facilities are very clean and well maintained and after a long trip the pool/hot are extremely relaxing! !

Quick check in, great suites with mini refrigerator, microwave & iron. Coffee maker in the room. Free tea & coffee throughout the day on the first floor. Clean rooms, and the hallways smell pretty good (do not know how they do it). Love the recycled cotton towels! Many sitting areas if you like to rad or relax. The pool and the whirlpool - lovely, if you want to relax at the end of the day. Breakfast is pretty good, hot breakfast with many varieties. Would love to recommend another waffle maker (at the moment they have one)!! Restaurant chap was great and he tried to keep the place tidy, he is a friendly person. Bumar is his name!! Christian the check in desk clerk offers a great service and all the others do an awesome service, very friendly and courteous!!

We enjoyed out two room suite - it was very spacious with a kitchenette and a nice pullout. The bedroom had plenty of space as well. Very clean and well decorated. Would definitely stay again.The only downside was the quality of the tv reception, but we did not stay there to do that, but it was a distraction, would not keep us from staying there again though

Love this Bestwestern! Second time I have stayed here the price and location is a plus. I received the exact kind of room I asked for with no trouble at all. The place is very clean and the bed is just right! I will be back again when ever I go out that way.

I wanted a hotel convenient to I-90. This is in a great location with lots of dining options around. We checked in just as the pool was getting ready to close but I liked the looks of it. Breakfast was wonderful. All of the staff were very friendly. The room was clean and modern, and the wi-fi worked great.

Excellent value. Building was well kept and hallways and common areas were very clean. Room was spacious with a separate sitting area. Location is close to the interstate with plenty of shops and restaurants close by. The $20 pet fee is reasonable. The whole experience was a cut above a standard budget hotel. We'll be back!

Excellent staff -- friendly, helpful, welcoming. Room was great, especially for that price! Clean, well kept bath. Bed was really comfortable. Halls and lobby were nice and clean, as well. Overall a great stay. I would definitely stay here again.

The customer service I receive when here is excellent. I often am here more than home, and they go the extra mile, always greeted by my name. I always get the rooms I prefer. The only down side I have is that they don't offer the sausage everyday with breakfast, but I can live with this.

We stayed here one weekend night and found it very satisfactory. There are no frills and the lobby is on the small side. But our room was clean, well furnished, and fairly well soundproofed because we never heard any noise from either side of us or below us. (We were on the top floor.) The breakfast was quite nice, with the usual hot and cold cereals, oatmeal, yogurts, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, potatoes, wafflemaker, and more. (No bagels, though, and the only whole-grain bread was soft whole wheat bread.) The breakfast area was larger than we often find in this type of hotel. A big plus was that our queen-bed suite, with a partial wall divider, had a pull-out sofa too. I don't remember that being advertised. We had no problems with the heating or any other aspect of the room. Another big plus is that the hotel is within walking distance of several restaurants, and within a five-minute drive of many more restaurants and a big shopping mall. On top of that, it's nearly right on the highway leading to or from Milwaukee. So for convenience, as well as room comfort and cleanliness, this is a great place to stay.

Hotel was clean and staff was professional, but the heat in my room kept turning off in the middle of the night.Enjoyed my stay and found the fitness center but was never told that I needed to get a different key to use iy.

My experience has always been positive. I am always treated as a friend and in a truly family way. Nice room, great hot tub and pool, and a super hot breakfast in the morning. Third time I have stayed at this motel. I am just as happy with my stay as I was the first time. Nice pool and hot tub, beds are comfortable, decent breakfast. It is also close to some restaurants and shopping.

I highly recommend staying at Best Western East Towne Suites in Madison, WI. Comfortable bed, comfortable seating options, and a very good breakfast. The rooms even come with an attached patio! I truly wish that I stayed in town for an extra day so that I could have taken advantage of the patio/deck, along with the couch and chairs inside the room. Plus, I was pleasantly surprised by the fairly good sized refrigerator in the room.

Located near MSN airport NW of downtown Madison, WI, this property offers spacious rooms at a reasonable price. In an area where many hotel rooms exceed $125.00 a night, this is an alternative for much less than $100.00/night. My room came with a queen bed, sitting area with a pull out sofa bed, and desk. Basic bathroom. The property is a bit worn down as are the furnishings. Pleasant staff. Easy check in and check out. A later checkout time was graciously granted. Standard continental breakfast items including waffle maker, toast, bagels, yougurt, scrambled eggs, ham, and biscuits and gravey. Pool area. Plenty of parking. A number of nearby restaurants within walking distance.

We stopped here while on a Road trip around eastern Wisconsin. Convenient location with good restaurant options near by. Friendly staff. Clean. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was better than most places at this price point. We were glad we chose this hotel.

Was disappointed in this property. I had never stayed at this property and since I made my reservation by phone, I had no way of knowing the condition of the property. It's an older property that looks like it used to be apartments at one time. The lobby area appears to have been updated but the rooms are dated, bathrooms are extremely small and our room had a terrible cigarette odor. The bed was comfortable though. We reported the odor to the front desk, nothing was done about it and they didn't offer to move us to a different room. My mom was in a different room and had a heater unit that didn't work. We reported that to the front desk, nothing was done to fix it and they didn't offer to move her to a different room. Fitness center is on the 2nd floor, in a hallway of regular hotel rooms. Very confusing because unless you saw the sign on the wall when you get off the elevator, there is no sign telling you where it's located. If you want to use the fitness center, you have to get a new room key every day and if you forget to get one, you have to go back down to the front desk and get a new key. I don't understand why the fitness center key can't be valid for the duration of your stay just like your room key! It's very inconvenient!

First off I don't hardly do reviews but I will do this one. First impression of the hotel are very good. Staff at the desk was courteous on the lobby was clean. Room was large and clean, only negative was the hard beds but still slept good. Breakfast was excellent and the small area to purchase items such as beer or microwave pizzas was nice and pleasantly inexpensive. Pool area was nice. Good restaurants within walking distance to. The only thing is they need to clean the vent above the swimming pool. Other than that I highly recommend this hotel.

I stay at this hotel a few times a year as part of a weekend scrapbookers group. We rent one of the banquet rooms for the weekend and stay in the hotel for quick and easy access. Every time I stay I find the staff friendly and cooperative and willing to fix or address any issues. The breakfast is great (Eggs, sausage, bread goods, fruits and yogurts, coffees and juices) and well attended. This is an older hotel, but it is very clean, which I look forward to. My only complaint is that inside the rooms the items are a bit outdated. I find the beds to be a bit soft and out of date and the AC units are still the older small wall unit varieties that cycle on/off all night, which frequently keeps me awake without additional white noise.

Stayed at this hotel for 1 night. Very close to Madison airport. Well maintained and very clean property, courteous staff. Excellent hot breakfast. Rooms are bit smaller. But overall very good hotel..

The parking is not so good, specially is you traveling whit a trailer behind you, but over all is a nice hotel. Clean good service, dissent breakfast, cant say a bad word about this hotel, I go back any time in the future to stay.

We stayed one night during a busy weekend with a Badger game and Halloween activities on State Street. Our rate was great, check in and check out very smooth and the room was very quiet (on 4th floor). Location is very convenient. Pool is small but was clean and the hot tub was nice. Many breakfast choices and friendly staff at breakfast and desk.

Stayed here on a one day business trip to Madison. The hotel is close to the airport and not too far from Madison downtown. It is in a convenient location opposite a number of restaurants and close to the East Town mall. Perfect location if your business is in the East Towne area. It is a nice and well maintained hotel. Clean rooms, comfortable bed and a clean bathroom. There is a small functional gym, a pool and heated whirlpool that I enjoyed use of. Breakfast is very good with hot or cold selection to choose from. It is great value for your money. One star off because the corridor had a damp and musty smell, but I will return here if I'm looking for a quick stop in the East Towne area.

Clean, lovely suite for a very good price. Two very comfortable queen beds w/ table and chairs and your own TV separated by a partition into a very nice sitting area w/ a couch, coffee table, desk and TV for extra people or just for the night owl. Bathroom was standard w/ shower/tub but fair size and clean. Many restaurants directly across the street from this hotel. Everything walking distance. They even gave you a 15% off dinner certificate to a restaurant across the street. Sweet!

Despite our tired mattress we had a good stay at Best Western East Towne Suites, Madison. They honored our 800 booking request for room near exit for my disabled husband. Very efficient & friendly staff. Convenient location to tour area and get to airport.

This was a decent place, well worth the cost. Staff was friendly, our room was clean and the free breakfast was pretty standard. The best part about this hotel was their pet policy. Dogs are welcome in any room for an additional $20 fee and they can be left unattended as long as they're crated and not barking. So if you happen to have a well behaved dog, bring it along!

My husband and I stayed here because we were passing through the area. It was affordable and right off the interstate. This hotel is an older place, but the staff was very nice. I like a firm bed, so the mattress suited my comfort level. But if you like a soft bed, this might not be the place for you. If you want to eat the free breakfast I advise getting up early.

Our fourth stay at this property when visiting Madison and I've been visiting Madison for 50+ years. It's our go-to place in Mad-town now. It's close to good restaurants and it's a quick drive to capitol square. Easy access to I-94. Very Friendly Staff!

Clean, comfortable room with a great breakfast and friendly staff! The location was close to everything and within walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Madison.

We stayed here for one night and while our expectations can be high based on the types of hotels we normally stay in, this one was right up there in terms of the important features. Yes the rooms were not fancy but they were clean, had all the right amenities including plenty of readily available outlets for charging all that we need to charge, and came with free wi-fi. The next morning the free breakfast was very good. I also had the need to sit in the lobby for over an hour doing some work - the lobby area was very nice. I also heard the way the desk staff spoke over the phone and to customers. Very professional and helpful in every conversation. Pretty impressive. Highly recommend this place.

Stranded We were promised a shuttle bus to pick us up at the Air Port. Nothing!. We had no way to get from the Air Port to the motel at 10:00pm. This Hotel fell flat on its face!. The manager should be reprimanded for this grossly poor service!

Traveling for work and stayed one night. Clean rooms, many amenities, reliable and breakfast is free and good. Very quiet, plenty of parking and the rooms have a little TV/lounge area separate from bedroom. A great option!

What a great hotel, the staff were wonderful and helpful, we would gladly stay there if in the area. They gladly provided discount card to local eateries, we chose TGIFridays, an easy walk. The hotel is a large establishment with lots of parking

An older but well maintained hotel. All accommodations are suites, small but just the two divided spaces one likes in a hotel room. The balconies are a real plus in nice weather. The hotel is pet friendly and surrounded by just about any chain restaurant and others that a traveler would need, and in walking distance. Front desk crew seems to change a lot, but check-in is usually very quick in you reserve in advance. There's a real breakfast with an actual cook. Good Value hotel.

We came for a weekend of fun at a soccer game but our car decided it wanted some attention instead. So the helpful staff gave us numerous alternatives to help fix our car and salvage our fun weekend. The breakfast was hot and fresh. Rooms are big and clean. Beds are firm but comfortable. Different pillows to choose from. We will stay here again.

The room is actually a suit.. it is really big and has a tv. Ac. Chouches. Toiletries. Etc The problem we had was the very very uncomfortable pillow... they have these really small square pillows on the bed that are really very uncomfortable.. i still have neck spasms..and there was no comforter.. only sheets. Blanket and cover... that was uncomfortable too There is no water to drink in the room. And awful coffee machines They serve not so good breakfast but yet edible. There is a pool and a terrace. You need to drive to get to downtown. They have positives and negative.. but the pillows just lowered the rating

The hotel is not the newest in town but its rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is friendly. It has a nice pool and hot tub. The breakfast is very good. The price is reasonable and the hotel is in a good location near the interstate, shopping and dining.

Very nice hotel with pleasant staff. I was in town for a family funeral. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Nice breakfast and clean rooms. We would recommend this hotel if you're looking for a good overall experience.

DW and I stayed here for four nights in September. Rooms were clean and quiet. Breakfast was above average for a hotel. Plenty of restaurants and amenities nearby. Staff was polite and helpful. Overall very happy with the room and will stay here again next time we are in Madison.

Great place for the price. Plenty of dining and shopping nearby. The breakfast was a tremendous surprise. Usually all you get is re-heated frozen products and stale breads. If you enjoy breakfast, this Best Western is a deal maker. I will be coming back for sure.

Best Hotel Breakfast, layout of the hotel is nice, location is near the airport and lots of restaurants with in walking distances.Was only here for on night for business but if I have to come back to this area this is where I will stay again.

I stayed here in Sept 2016 for a business trip. The hotel was nice, but could use some updating. Aside from that, it was a great experience! The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly and very accommodating through my whole stay! The cleaning staff did a great job everyday! Also, the breakfast in the morning was delicious! The hotel is only about 20 minutes from downtown, which was very convenient! Overall, it was a great stay!!!

Was driving along the highway around midnight, knowing we were going to stay in Madison but we didnt have a hotel booked yet. So I checked a few prices online, and called this one due to a favorable price and reviews. Spoke with the front desk, reserved a room and arrived 45 minutes later. Everything from then until checkout went smoothly. The rooms were clean enough and comfortable enough to enjoy the overnight stay. The continental breakfast was the same as always and good enough. The pool and hot tub were both clean and relaxing. I noticed they sold alcohol, wine bottles small and large, single servings of liquor, and individual beers, all at a fair price between the hours of 9am-9pm (as per the local ordinance). We arrived after and left before but it was a nice offering. Wished I could have had a couple after a long drive! Id recommend if travelling from out of town like myself, as the area seemed safe enough, convenient highway access, fair priced, and enough in the area to eat, drink, shop and possible entertain.

I arrives in Madison without a hotel to stay and after looking some options we decided to stay at this hotel. Reason why? 1- it was one of the left hotels available with a nice price 2- the amazing staff specially for Breanna that was very nice with us helping to get a nice room. Thr hotel is great, near to the mall and very nice restaurants. About 15 min driving to downtown. We just loved our experience! Thanks Breanna for making this trip amazing! :)

Little time to plan, and BW reliability and savings provided my wife and I a wonderful stay in the exact area we wanted. We saved enough money on our room to be able to spend more on meals and enjoy our impromptu anniversary getaway.

We had activities planned on the east side of Madison. This hotel was very convenient for us. The rates are quite good for the quality provided. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and very quiet even with traffic near by. The beds were just comfortable enough. Bathroom and shower were fine. The breakfast area was not crowded and the food was average or better. A decent selection but more fruit would have improved it.

The hotel was nice, clean, and beds were comfortable (most comfortable of our entire trip). It was in a very convenient location in relation to our travel route and easy to find. Would recommend this hotel as an affordable and nice place to stay.

This is a very nice hotel ! It is around many stores and restaurants. Walking distance to most. The neighborhood is very decent! They have a very nice pool and hot tub. There is a van that can shuttle you around with in reason. If you smoke you can get a room with a balcony and smoke out there. I found this so much better than going down to the first floor. The staff is really nice they actually go around and use a carpet cleaner in rooms and hallways. The Breakfast is great , I really enjoyed it! There's restaurants in walking distance. In the back there is a huge grass area if you happen to have a pet traveling with you and a gas station.

Not the best hotel for the price. Spent $144 a night to watch the peeled wallpaper peel farther from the wall. Beds were hard and very uncomfortable. Old institutional pull-out couch. Lots of hotels in that area to choose from. This was more of an $80 -$60 hotel. Keep looking. IMG951716.png

We took a trip up to Madison to dine at Pig in a Fur Coat and chose to stay at that Best Western. We were so impressed with the room. We thought it was a upgrade but found out it was their basic room. The room actually had a separate seating area with a couch and chairs. Wonderful. I'm an early riser so it was great having my own area to have my coffee and read without disturbing anyone else in the room who wanted to sleep in. Staff was above and beyond helpful. Plan on going back just for a little get away.

Rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast is standard hotel fair, premade eggs and sausage. The make your own waffles were a hit. Great location made it easy to get to all of the sites. Very happy with the room for the price.

Everything was pretty good about this hotel. We paid $96+tax a night which feels like its pretty spendy but I think its fairly average. The beds were uncomfortable. Very firm and just not comfortable. That's my only complaint. The breakfast was delicious-waffles, sausage, yogurt, juice & more.

The hotel looks old, beds were ok but not super comfy as we expected from Best Western standard. Breakfast in standard; nothing outstanding. Pool area clean, water pretty cold. Close to highway, which made it convenient for one night sleep.

Hotel was tired, a bit worn, but reasonably clean and convenient to the highway. It definitely could use a facelift, and was a little expensive for how "used" it seemed. The A/C unit was ridiculously loud. It was close to restaurants (walking distance), a mall and to the University. Breakfast was adequate and the staff was nice.

Stayed here for two nights with our family, 2 adults and 2 kids. Overall this is a good family friendly choice, not overly fancy but meets all the basic needs. The standard room had 2 double beds, with a couch that could be pulled out if the kids don't want to share a bed. Had a refrigerator in the room. Couple nitpicks: pillows are very small and not very supportive, and the towels tend to be on the small and thin side too. Free breakfast was average. Seemed to have less choices than other hotels. There were hot fresh made waffles. Each day there were eggs, potatoes and sausage. However there was no hot chocolate for the kids. Coffee was quite strong. Hotel has a pool. Is close off the interstate. Is right next to a small shopping mall. Drive to downtown area is about 15 minutes. front door does have a handicap opener which is helpful when entering with lots of luggage.

Overall a pleasant stay. The free breakfast in the morning was a nice addition. A nice convenient store next to the lobby to purchase drinks and snacks. BUT for those of you not from Madison, remember there are no retail alcohol sales after 9pm. So buy your beer early! The gym was clean and adequate with a nice pool area. Rooms and the hotel were very clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful as well.

The staff is helpful and courteous but there are no food or lounge options and the hotel references '80s décor that needs a lift. There seem to be better options closer to the University and the lakes, which would also be closer to the airport.

From the time that I arrived and was picked up by Breanna at the airport, I was greeted by Ashley and Erica with curtesy and fast service. Breanna, Erica, and Ashley where very helpful directing me to the local restaurants and local amenities. For the two weeks that I have been staying here I looked forward every afternoon to seeing Erica, Ashley, and Breanna to lighten up the afternoon after a long day of training. I will definitely be staying at this hotel on my next visit to Madison especially with a staff like Ashley, Breanna, and Erica.

This was our 2nd time staying at this hotel. We enjoyed it the 1st time so opted to stay again on this trip. I don't remember this hotel being so stingy with towels and other amenities. You get exactly 2 bath towels, two face towels and two washcloths. No shampoo, hand lotion, conditioner, etc. I think there were 2 bars of soap, though! Anyway, this is very unusual for a mid-range hotel; normally one can expect at least 3, and usually 4 towels (my wife uses one for hair drying and one for the rest of her). The bed was also not particularly comfortable - kind of soft and saggy, again by comparison to competing hotel properties. We'd stay again, as the rooms are very nice, clean, and quiet, and the staff is very good, but I was somewhat disappointed on this trip.

We really liked it here. Air was on our room. That was very welcoming and refreshing after arriving from a very hot, and challenging day of riding our motorcycles. We had a nice and clean, large relaxing room. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool later in the evening. The breakfast was hot and offered a little bit more then usual at most hotels but very similar. It is a time saver for us so we think it is great. They had cereal, waffles, toast, scrambled eggs, sausage, ham, toast, juice, muffins, fresh fruit and so on. Parking was ok, not sure where you would park larger vehicles such as a RV. Maybe at a Plaza across the way, maybe they had more parking out back. Great parking for bikes and cars. No special covered parking or anything for motorcycles, but that is fine. Nice parking lot. We were lucky and found parking right away so we don't know what is offered for larger truck combos. Lots of nice little restaurants near by, some across the street and in walking distance. This area has some great sounding restaurants you should check out that you may need to drive too. Gas stations are close and handy too. Quiet, clean, quaint, little area of the city. We would definitely stay again in this area of Madison and at this hotel!

This hotel brings together a great price with quality service. I believe that all of there employees were trained well. I felt comfortable and happy at this hotel. It had great rooms, hot breakfast, a pool and fitness center. All of these things which made my stay more enjoyable.

We came to Madison to see a band we like at Pooley's and were pleased to find a Best Western only three minutes away. We always enjoy staying at Best Western Hotels as they are consistently good to excellent and this hotel was no exception. Extremely helpful staff, clean & comfy rooms, made for a very pleasant stay in Madison.

This is a most pleasant place to stay. I have stayed here twice and will do so again. Staff is friendly, rooms clean and nice, with a real decent breakfast. The bed was a little soft for my taste, but I am quite picky---I really like their rooms, and the patios...

This Hotel is my favorite...I travel often and stay at Hotels all the time...This one is the best! The staff is awesome and the entire hotel is always clean...The pool is amazing and the breakfast is the best...I love staying here.

Our first time at this location, definitely not our last, due to the staff-the were wonderful! The gentleman who was attending the breakfast was working non-stop! He cooked, served, restocked, managed clean up, answered question...all with a polite demeanor and a big smile.

Friendly and courteous as the staff was it couldn't overcome the need to remodel this property. The beds were horrible, even my 11 year old son couldn't get past it. The pools were comfortable and the breakfast was just fine

We stay at this hotel numerous times a year travelling to our vacation cottage in northern Wisconsin. The hotel is clean, well-maintained, and provides a very nice complimentary breakfast of "real food." Our only issue is with checking in. There seems to be a constant change of front desk personnel. Some are very professional and welcoming. However, there are just as many if not more who just go through the motions: "I need your I.D. and credit card. Sign here. Here's your key." NOT EVEN A SMILE! Management needs to address this; it's called "Hotel Management 101" Checking out is usually much more pleasant with a middle-aged desk clerk.

Was pleased to see something available on short notice during a busy time for the price. Was suspicious that location would be bad or motel rundown. Was pleasantly surprised that location was great, motel in good condition and staff very helpful. Breakfast was much better than most. Didn't use if but was nice assortment of items for food/drink in gift shop.

Our stay was very nice. Nice spacious room. The room was VERY clean and well kept. I requested a room with a balcony and that was nice being able to sit outside. We didn't use the pool so I can't say much about that, it looked nice though. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

Very nice hotel with an excellent breakfast. The location is ideal (just off of Highway 94) and right next to East Towne Mall. Many wonderful restaurants nearby as well. The pool was great, the breakfast had scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles, in a big, clean and friendly environment. We are well pleased.

Stopped for the night on our way home from Minnesota to Florida. Long drive, late night, travel with 2 large dogs. Were relieved to come across this hotel at the last minute since we never know how far we'll get for the night. Plenty of places open late to eat at before hitting the hay. Room was clean, AC was cold, shower was hot, bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. Also, pet friendly which is a must have for us but hotel didn't smell or sound pet friendly. A relief since we've seen the other options some pet friendly can give! Will put Best Western's at the top of our search when travelling again.

this is a very clean, comfortable hotel.. staff is helpful and friendly. the only problem I had was the room was extremely damp,, the rugs felt wet on bare feet and a shirt I hung up for morning felt like it had just come from the washing machine even though the room was really cool in 90+ heat.

Great location - close to lots of good restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The facility was awesome with lots of close up parking. Would stay here again in a heart beat. Loved the vending area -- able to purchase many different(single) food and drink items.

For a three star hotel this was a very nice place to stay. The breakfast was free and pretty good. My wife and I stayed there overnight. The room was clean and the bed slept well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Madison area.

Easiest check in ever. Keys were ready for us when we said our names. All staff very efficient and pleasant. Only there for two nights but front desk staff remembered us and our visit purpose. Breakfast area was very clean and "grill master" was great at keeping things running smoothly even on a busy Saturday morning. Clean rooms, no problem getting extra coffee or cups. Check out was super easy as well...again no waiting.

The host hotel for this tournament was the Crowne Plaza just up the road. We chose to stay here since it was about $30 cheaper per night, plus we got free breakfast every day. We had no issues with our stay and were close to everything we needed. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to the Madison area. It is 20 minutes to downtown, but it's an easy 20 minutes.

Desk staff goes over the top to assure you are attended to. All questions answered and locations for dinner pointed out in great detail. Rooms are very clean, comfortable and our suite was very spacious with an updated digital AC unit. Breakfast was plentiful and filling.

Decent pool. Hotel was being repaired. Old bed. good for one night. Needs updating breakfast a bit better than average for these kinds of places tiny, tiny bathroom. trade-off is the sofa--nice "suite" area

The hotel was clean, staff seemed friendly enough. The air conditioner was LOUD and clunked on and off every 45 min thru the night. We had to keep it on though, because it was hot, and it couldn't keep up even with it being set on high. They have shampoo, but no conditioner in the room( I had brought my own, so no biggie), But the hair dryer didn't work either :( of course you only figure this out after getting out of the shower and dripping wet, with an hour to get an appointment!

A family visit beings us to Madison, WI. I was aware of this Best Western and its location on the east side of Madison. This hotel is located adjacent to East Towne Mall and many very nice restaurants. We did the advance purchase when we made our reservation, very good price. We booked a Queen Bed guest room. Our room (#329) was exactly as described in the website. This room was extremely clean and very quiet. We enjoy having a room with a sofa. The people at the front desk were very polite and helpful. Very nice, we hope to use this Best Western again.

We were very pleased with the location of the BW, close to the freeway. We needed to travel to the Fairwater and Janesville areas. We found the staff to be very helpful and kind. The breakfast was exceptional not being a BW Plus or higher. Housekeeping went beyond what we expected. We would recommend this motel to others.

Good news--the hotel was clean, quiet, and met expectations. Motorists will find plenty of free parking. A complimentary full breakfast is offered. The dining area easily accommodated the number of guests. While the front desk was happy to arrange taxi service quickly, the free airport shuttle only operates with 24 hour advance notice.

Very convenient for the type of overnight stay we needed. Real good continental breakfast with lots of options. The murphy bed that was a part of room was not comfortable at all. With the additional space in that room, it could easily hold another queen size bed. Great price and took AARP card.

I have stayed here and will stay here again. I like Best Westerns because they are quiet, clean, friendly staff, microwave, refrigerator, sitting area, and we like the balcony, and have a nice breakfast.

Convenient - clean/great breakfast selection - traveled to Minneapolis for a family wedding and needed a midway point to stay going and coming home. Madison is that place and am glad Expedia pointed me to this hotel. It was a great choice.

Nice large room, with a bed, bath, desk, pull out couch and balcony. There are many other hotels in the same general area as this hotel. I stayed at this hotel because it was the cheapest by far (the cost was less than half of the other hotels in the area). I'm glad I stayed here. I got a cheap room that was clean and comfortable. LOCATION Just off of Hwy 151, located within near the East Towne Mall. There are a lot of places within a VERY short walking distance, including: KFC, Hardee's, Hooters, Pizza Hut, Panera Bread, Texas Roadhouse, Shell Gas Station, Potbelly Sandwich Shop, Dickey's Barbecue Pit. Other places within walking distance are: TGI Friday's, Red Robin, Subway, Kohl's Old Navy, Shopko, Ulta, DSW, Babies R Us, Marshalls, Party City, Burlington Coat Factory, East Towne Mall and many, many other places. You definitely don't need a car if you are staying here, as you can walk to a lot of places. TONS of restaurants within 5 minute drive: Starbucks, Chipotle, Outback Steakhouse, Chili's, Applebee's, IHOP, McDonald's, Olive Garden, Buffalo Wild Wings, Culver's, etc. ROOM Room included a refrigerator, microwave, large TV and air conditioning/heating unit in the wall. NO Safe in room. This definitely was a con for me. Clean room with lots of great lighting. Most hotel rooms don't have enough lighting, but this place is nicely well lit. The décor was a little outdated, but overall a clean room. The couch in my room was a little stained and old, but other than that, it was a comfortable room. Plenty of outlets and USB ports in the entire room. CLOSET Small closet with iron, ironing board and 10 hangers. BATHROOM There is a fan in the bathroom. This is a must-have for me. I don't like hotel bathrooms without fans. Very nice massaging shower head with adjustable settings (see my pictures). There is also a heating lamp in the bathroom, which is a nice addition. A hair dryer (Sunbeam 1500) is provided in the bathroom, but it's terrible. You are better off bringing your own hair dryer (unless you are not picky about your hair dryer). I have long hair, and it took forever to dry my hair with this hair dryer. BREAKFAST Breakfast served 6am – 9am during the week and 7am – 10am on weekends. Typical hotel breakfast that was nicely stocked. Items include: cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, oatmeal, toast, bagels, pastries, muffins, make your own waffles, and a different hot item each day (like eggs, bacon, sausage, etc). The breakfast staff is very efficient and attentive. They clean the tables and dining room constantly to ensure a nice experience. POOL The indoor pool is quite large for a hotel pool. There is also a large Jacuzzi/hot tub next to the pool. A lot of the guests enjoyed the pool and Jacuzzi while I was there.

The hotel is right off 90/94 with lots of restaurants near by. The room was clean and large but needs new mattresses. The toilet is small and low and should be replaced. Walls must be thin because you can hear others. The rest of the hotel has everything you need. The help are nice and attentive. Breakfast was Ok. Yes, we would stay there again. For what we paid it was a good value.

Like the title says, the front desk service was very patient and helpful. Great care was taken to ensure that I got full value for my promotional discount. Quality breakfast and clean tables--can't ask for more.

We recently stayed at this hotel after attending a Mallards game. It was close to the ballpark and the price was good. The hotel was quiet, clean and offered a nice breakfast. The only down side is the "old school" hard mattress and worn carpet in the room. If Best Western would update those 2 items I would give it a better rating.

Everything about this hotel was great, Staff was friendly, hotel was clean, beds were comfortable and breakfast was well presented and they have several items to offer. Regardless of the purpose of my trip (business or pleasure) I would select this hotel because of the quality and location.

Stayed for 2 nights and couldn't ask for better service......Breakfast was awesome and the cook was very accommodating. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and the bed was sooooo comfortable. Enjoyed our selves very much and will be back, in the future.

One of many BW Inns I stayed at on the way to Florida. Clean, comfy very quiet. Staff was friendly. Breakfast free but a bit sparse for those who eat healthy. Easy to find, Would definitely stay again.

Great stay! Very nice arrival greeting made us feel special. Our room décor was very nice, the beds were very comfortable and the shower area was very nice. I appreciated the parking area especially because of the utility trailer with our motorcycle on board. It was very well lighted and I could view the area right outside our room. For a large facility the convenience of several entries was appreciated. The pool and hot tub were wonderful too with ample towels, dry floors, and few swimmers. Thanks a lot for a great stay.

This is not a typical off-the-highway Best Western. It has several floors and is more like a nice hotel you would find at a vacation area. The room was spacious, clean and very quiet. I found the back way out and there was plenty of close-by parking. The only beef I have, and many hotels are doing this, is the 1/2 pillows. They are too puffy, impossible for a side sleeper and I get a neck ache every time.

Stopped here on our way to the northern woods of Wisconsin. The staff was friendly, the room was comfortable, location was perfect, and the breakfast was yummy and included! What more could you ask for!?

I flew out to Wisconsin to attend my sister's wedding. The best value I could find online was this Best Western. I wasn't disappointed. I free breakfast was an outstanding value and very good. The staff was very nice and helpful. Keep up the great work!

Haven't been there for many months. Tom recoginized my voice ,on the phone almost imediatly, and got me booked for my usual 2 nights. Had some trouble with a lock on my luggage and Nick the maintance guy came to the rescue. Thanks Nick!

I stayed at the Best Western East Towne Suites in Madison WI June 16-June 20. The rooms are nice, clean, and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is great. Mall within walking distance, restaurants are everywhere within walking distance (ton's of them). In room coffee. The breakfast in awesome and the breakfast staff was awesome. You really can't beat this place and its near I-90/I-39. If you don't choose this hotel if you are in the area, shame on you!

Great priced hotel with large rooms with suites. It is a bit dated in furnishings and is seeing some wear and tear, but you can tell that it is maintained well. The hotel staff was good and there is a large area to meet in the lobby. A great feature to the hotel is the breakfast area which is large and was maintained to the highest standards. The attendant working the morning breakfast should be commended for his good work. Overall close to good eating options and quick on and off the freeway.

We stay here every year when we visit Wisconsin. We love it here. Grandkids love the pool. I love the location, free hot breakfast and the staff is great. Shopping is close by as is many restaurants. Only wish they had more TV channels for the kids,.

We have stayed here before & will definitely stay again. The staff is always good, helpful, and the breakfast is better than most with real eggs, good sausage, fruit, waffles, yogurt, and much more. Everything in this hotel is clean. It is not super fancy, but we don't need that for overnights--and the bed and pillows were terrific. Would be nice to be able to get a pay per view movie, but that was not available, but HBO & other stations were. We had a room with a couch & 2 chairs & a desk, fridge, microwave (we were upgraded), and it worked out so well for us. I definitely recommend this hotel. Good value for the cost. If you want to stay on the East Side of WI, this is a great place to stay.

I like the location one this hotel and I like that it is priced well. Coffee is available 24 hours a day-staff is nice. Breakfast seems great-there is always alot of people eating-not the kind of breakfast I eat-so I just grab coffee

Good location, friendly staff. Worked well for one night stay on way north. Would recommend. Easy access to town and highways. Pet friendly as well. Would benefit from some updating of rooms, however they are above adequate.

The good is, this hotel is clean and the rooms fairly big. Mine even had a nice balcony. Everything worked and the staff seemed nice. The bad is, out bed was very hard. It also squeaked with the slightest turn- making it tough to sleep. The hot tub was also broke, so we couldn't use it. The rate was good for the area, so we might or might not give the hotel another chance.

This was not for pleasure but more like business. Needed one night because of very stressful move and hope to never have another move like this one. Choose Best Western because of location, price, amenities and past reviews.

All shower/tubs should be equipped with handles to help getting in and out of shower/tub. Also, there should either be a shower mat for the tub bottom or upfront information that the mat is available. All of this is very important for anyone, but especially seniors. All handicapped room were already taken.

I always assumed that the East Town Suites would cost more than it did! Granted, I used rewards points to cover the cost, but the rates otherwise are better than I have seen at some other chains of lower quality. The staff was professional and friendly, as is usual at Best Western. The hot tub was relaxing, and the breakfast area has ample seating. The location is conveniently close to the Interstate. This property is slightly less than an hour away from home, and would make another great getaway for a weekend without the kids.

Enjoyed every aspect of this hotel. Clean, tidy, professional and helpful staff. Great breakfast, and the chef is awesome. Nice pool. I think they have a store behind the check in room where they sell snacks like icecream and beers. Althought we did not buy, the prices seemed very reasonable. Also, they had a 24 hour regular and decaf coffee in the check in area, which i used twice and greatly loved it. We will stay in this hotel again if we visited Madison.

The Best Western East Towne Suites in Madison was very clean, the staff was friendly and the room was comfortable. The pool/hot tub were very nice. There were a variety of restaurants very close by, as well as shopping. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Stayed at this hotel largely due to location and price. It was very clean, nicely decorated, and they sell a variety of bottles of beer or glasses (or bottles!) of wine!! (Until 9pm, per law.) And for a REALLY affordable price!! What a great perk! It is so nice to be able to have a couple beverages without having to go find a liquor store and possibly have to buy a larger quantity, &/or to go to a restaurant and pay a much higher price. I would definitely go back--and recommend--due to this alone, together with the great cleanliness and comfort.

The Best Western East Town was a total pleasure to stay. We would definitely use this facility again for future trips in the Madison area. The hotel surprised us with a "hot" breakfast that was awesome. We also liked the seating area in our room.

We stayed here for one night on our trip out west and were very happy with our stay. The room was spacious,clean and comfortable and the hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. The wifi worked very well and there are many good restaurants with in walking distance. The hotel is located close to the interstate yet far enough away that it's very quiet.

This place is consistently clean and everyone is friendly. It's near my interstate exit coming from the North and just about everything else I go to Madison for. Price is right too. Noise at night seems minimal too.

Clean, Comfy. Good Breakfast. Hotel was booked solid as it was UW Madison graduation. Thought hotel would be noisy and crazy parking. Was pleasantly surprised that it was quiet and there was plenty of parking. Lots of restaurants within walking distance and a nice mall very close as well.

I spent two weeks driving across the country, from California to New Jersey. I stayed at several different hotels. Out of all the hotels in which I stayed, I was most pleasantly surprised by the Best Western in Madison, Wisconsin. All of the hotels I stayed in charged between $60-110 a night. This BW East Towne Suites was right in the middle, yet it offered the most for that price. It was the only hotel that offered a balcony, a couch in the room, plus all the other amenities I found in other establishments, like an in-room fridge, microwave, etc. It also had the largest bathroom and shower. Each of these things may seem of little importance, individually, but when added together it made the room better in my estimation. Because of how much I enjoyed my stay at BW East Towne Suites, I looked for other Best Westerns to stay in for the rest of my cross-country trip.

Upon arrival, the staff went through the motions of getting me checked in, but would clearly rather have been somewhere else or talking to each other rather than helping me. The condition of the flooring in the room needed to be fixed/replaced, and the Quality of the TV in the room was poor. Other than those things, the stay was un-eventful, but nothing to cheer about.

Always stay here when in Madison. The location is perfect, staff are friendly and accommodating. Rooms are clean and most are updated. The breakfast offers a nice variety. The pool area is always clean. Above all the staff and warm welcoming feeling is why I keep coming back.

I recently stayed at this property for seven days while I visited family. Two of those days were unexpected due to airline cancellation at the last minute. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. This hotel's appearance is date, inside and out, but do not let that keep you from staying here! It is spotless, and the quietest property I have ever stayed in. The breakfast area is spotless and kept well stocked each morning.( however, the scrambled eggs leave something to be desired??) Nonethless, I appreciated the mini mart downstairs, that you can purchase snacks, beer and wine. The hotel was always busy, but that never detracted from the service. I would definitely make this my first choice hotel for my next stay in Madison. Very conveniently located to the airport as well.

Best staff ever! We forgot some items in the rooms but the house keeping and front desk staff were kind enough to call while we were still in town. We drove back and picked up those items. Gotta love the Midwest values. Thanks you Jon and the house keeping staff!

Easy access coming into Madison. The staff was most accommodating and the room was great. A group of high schools students were staying that evening also, We requested a room away from the students and the staff honored our request. As it turned out, the students were not an issue. A good breakfast, and on our way.

The staff was very accommodating and Seth went out of his way to make our stay great !! The complimentary breakfast was much better than I expected. Hotel is close to East Towne Mall and many restaurants. We will definitely stay at Best Western Madison again.

Good location, right off I90/94. plenty of restaurants around, nice clean facility. Excellent hot breakfast with real plates & silver ware. The room was clean, the bathroom is on small side, and the lighting is dim. The mattresses were ok, but are due to be replaced. The staff was all great and very helpful.

This hotel is just looking "tired".....poor quality towels.....back door could be opened without a keycard....breakfast was mediocre at best. The only reason we stay here is because they allow dogs and we can get a 2 room suite with a king bed. But I will be looking around before we book here again.

Booked a two room suite, price just under $100. Carpet and furniture a bit worn, no desk convenient for setting up laptop - moved small dining table next to kitchenette counter to reach plug - wifi was good. Plenty of room with separate bedroom for privacy. Room was clean. Several restaurants within walking distance, plenty of parking. Two heating/cooling units (one in each room) worked satisfactorily. Breakfast was hot and generous. If you're not looking for luxury, this is an excellent value, clean and functional. Also, easily accessible from I-90/94.

This hotel had it all great room, location and breakfast. Can't remember names of staff but they helped with directions places to go and eat. Breakfast had all my favorites eggs, sausage and waffles. What else could you ask for.

Right off of interstate 90, next door to the mall, by many restaurants.... north of the State capital is where we stayed with 4 other couples. This hotel is fairly new and the service staff is excellent. When you can just walk into your room and be comfortable without looking around is good. That's what a $110 a night room should be like and when we stayed an extra week day night it was $97. The breakfast was really nice because someone actually cracked open and scrambled eggs, potatoes and sausage on a grill... plus there was the standard do it yourself waffle iron which is my favorite

They sold the balcony room that I was promised on my first night of a 5 night stay. The night clerk put me in a handicap king room which was comfortable and clean. She also knocked $10.00 off the room rate. Promptly the next morning I was moved to a single queen balcony room. The maintenance man, Nick was kind enough to move my things to the new room 439. Breakfast is pretty good (food is subjective). There are scrambled eggs, sausage, gravy, biscuits, waffles, muffins, cereals, fresh fruits, yogurt choices, toast and decent coffee. The breakfast staff is very good. The room is good for one or two people although the small couch folds out it would be a squeeze for 3 people. TV has adequate cable channels. Good reception and wifi is pretty quick. Housekeeping is prompt and good. I've not mentioned how they treat my service dog as she is hospitalized here in Madison for chemotherapy and a splenectomy so she is not with me. I would return here again.
