Best Western Riverside Inn

The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good. The hotel staff were friendly too. Be aware that this hotel does NOT have an elevator so if you have to be on the second floor, you have to carry your luggage up. Also, we stayed on a Friday night and the lobby parking lot was very sketchy. I did not feel comfortable with any of my family being out front. There were people hanging out in their cars while others would drive up for just a minute or two and then leave.The parking around by the rooms seemed fine, it was just out front by the bar and lobby.

Traveling from MN to St. Simons Island and stayed overnight because we remembered a pleasant stay here last year. Pet-friendly, nice, grassy inner courtyard for dogs includes poop bags and garbage can. Immaculate room and hallways. Large, well-stocked breakfast buffet (fresh fruit!) with hard-working and friendly attendant. Recommended! Recycling options in room would be a great addition.

This was a clean, pet friendly hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a good sized area to walk our dogs. The only complaint was that breakfast ended at 9AM but when we arrived at 8:30 many items were already gone and we were told it was too close to closing to put fresh items out.

Had a great visit with the office manager Jahanvi and the owner Ricky. Very nice people and so helpful. Definitely will be stopping by again. The hotel was very clean, along with the parking lot area. Was greeted right away with a small. Good place near a lot of restaurants.

I usually stay here once a month when I come down for the National Guard. It's an inexpensive stay with comfortable beds, clean rooms and warm showers. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone who's spending a night or two in Macon

Location is a little off the beaten path as it seemed like most restaurants and shops were a ways away. It felt like they were making an effort - room's were clean and decent, but you got the feeling that it was just lipstick. Everything felt a bit cheap. The breakfast was fake eggs, plastic wrapped muffins, cereal that was very old and soggy and just didn't look appealing.

Nice hotel, great location, comfortable room and bed. Enjoyed the Back Porch Lounge very much. There were many choices for restaurants in the close proximity of the Hotel. I only wished there was one on the property, being disabled.

Firstly the young lady at the front desk was lovely. We only stayed one night as we were on a road trip to Nashville Not the best area. Had a bar attached to it. Walked in and straight out Room was what you pay for. Smelt very musty Breaky was ok

We were there for a family emergency. We stayed 2 nights. The room smells, bedding was wet, floor was wet and told thats just the rooms. First morning, I was in the shower someone opened the door had the flip lock engaged or he would have came in. Morning 2 we left at 730 for breakfast and take some people to critical care at hospital for nephew. I shut the door and double checked in (always do even at home) came back at 9am and the door was wide open with all of our stuff inside. Check out was at 10 or 11. When I arrived at 4 in the am from Florida, the fron desk lady told me she was no showing me. Told her I put a note it would be an early am arrival since I was driving from FL at 9pm...

Probably one of the cheapest rooms we had on our roadtrip. The air conditioner was quiet and we had 2 queen beds so it was comfortable enough. There is a pool area with sunbeds, the floor was too hot to walk on in bare feet. Generally had a dated feel but it was clean and comfortable.

We've stayed here many times. The best thing is the Back Porch Lounge next door. Great friendly people and fantastic music if you hit it on Monday night. Hotel staff is always nice. Clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Breakfast a bit lackluster but lots of places nearby.

We always choose Best Western Riverside when in Macon for concerts, parties, events with friends. The hotel is convenient, clean, and comfortable. The staff is professional, friendly, and always helpful. Safe parking lot with surveillance cameras, always a key required for entry, a large pool, ice machines, and a lounge with live music on site.

The hotel was decent and clean overall. no weird smells and it was quiet. staff was nice, however, on my very last day, there was a big dead roach in my room??? also when i turned on the water for a shower, it came out brown for a split second, but i'm guessing its just old pipes. bathrooms are very small as well.

Hot breakfast is homemade and great. Lovely cook. She won't give up recipe for eggs! I need it! Biscuits and gravy way better than huddle house or waffle house. Excellent breakfast from a lovely cook. She is the best!

This hotel has so much going for it- friendly staff, excellent breakfast, quick check in/out, comfortable beds and pillows, bedding that can be fully washed, refrigerator, great price…but you are hit smack in the face with cigarette smoke smell everywhere. There is a “lounge” attached to the hotel which seems to invite smokers to congregate outside. The lobby smelled fine which is why we continued checking in after we arrived. But as soon as we started walking to our room, the hallway was filled with smoke again, and though the room was ok-enough to stay in (it was 10pm and we have kids and had been on the road all day), we had to turn off the a/c unit and put a towel under the door to keep the smoke smell to a minimum in our room. So disappointed since everything else was great. If you can't stand smoke smell like us, don't come here; we suspect the smell is “built in.”

Best Western Riverside is always clean and the employees are very friendly. Breakfast is fantastic! The rooms offer coffee makers, fridge, wifi, cable TV, and hair dryers. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

Conveniently located right off the freeway/typical business area - busy. Lots of renovations done and lobby, etc. all appears newly painted, very clean with very nice staff at the front desk and in housekeeping. While building is older, the rooms were sparkling clean and updated, bathroom a little small. Breakfast offerings were very nice/lots to choose from. Clean, quiet and nicely staffed for guests. We will stay there again if in the area.

We always stay at the Best Western Riverside for music events in Macon. Whether the 4 day GA Allman Brothers Band Assoc. (GABBAfest) in September, events at The Back Porch Lounge, Historic Grant's Lounge, The Big House, Society Garden, Hargray Capitol, Grand Opera House, all events are conveniently located near the BW.

Good morning, I recently visisited one of your locations, 2400 riverside dr macon ga. I have quarterly business reviews in Macon. I always come to this hotel. On 11/08/22 around 10:30pm, I arrive at the hotel. I get to the front desk and no one is there. I wait, but looking around for a number to call. While waiting another guest arrives, he asks me have I been helped. I answer no, I've been waiting, maybe 4 to 5 minutes at this point. He yells "Hello" 2 times, no one comes or answers. Another guest comes in. We all engage in a friendly conversation for about 2 minutes. The same guy yells again "hello, hello". No one answers. I walked closer to the counter and I say "is anyone here?" That's when HANNA comes from the back, saying " we don't yell here" looking directly at me. I raised my eyebrows at her. She then asks "can I help you" I said yes I would like to get a room, she asks do you have a reservation, I told her no, i was trying to put one in but the website was being difficult so I would just like to get a room since I'm here, she asked me to step aside so she can help the next guest, and began asking the guy behind me if he had a reservation. The guy looked at me and was hesitant to answer, so she asked him again, he then said yes. I stood there a little embarrased because of what she had just did. Then she took care of the gentleman behind the first guest. Then asked me double or single, I said it doesn't matter, do you have anything on the first floor? She says no. She tells me my total, I paid with my business card. She gives me my room# and shows me where I needed to go to get to my room. I picked up my things and proceeds to the room. To the very back, where it looked like no one else was, up the stairs to room 264. The door had a "do not disturb" hanging on the door nob. I knocked and then used the key to open the door, the lights were on, the bed was unmade, the trash was full and tied there were dirty towels on the floor in the room and bathroom. I took pictures and went back to the front desk. I told HANNA that the room was not ready to be occupied, she tells me yes it is, I told her the condition of the room, she asks me do you want me to refund you for the room? I didn't i just wanted a clean room, but because the way she said it, I said yes go ahead and give me a refund so I can go somewhere else, she says well first I need to go see the room. Because i knew how far away the room was and i was tired after driving 3 hours, I said I have pictures of the room I just want my money so I can go where they have better customer service. She says if you weren't yelling in here when you first came you might have had a better customerservice. I told her if she would have looked at her cameras she would have seen who was yelling and it was not me! I work with the public and I know how everyone is short handed and stressed and that's why I didn't give you any grief when you came out and seemed to be aggravated, I held my peace and my tongue about the way you treated me. She then told me I wasn't getting anything, I said now your just being ignorant, she said now you're calling me dumb, I said no I called you ignorant two different meanings. At this point we are both yelling back and forth. So she said leave our I'm calling the police. I told her i need my refund, she says show me the pictures then I'll give you a refund, I told her she could go look at the room herself. She begin to call the police, I took a picture of her calling the police and I left, because I am a black women by myself in a unfamiliar place and didn't want any problem with the police. I drove around about 45 minutes looking for another room because most of them were fully booked, and HANNA did not want to do the job that she was paid to do. I received an email showing she only gave me a refund for $5. Can I PLEASE get my refund? I have my receipt and pictures of the room I did not occupy.

This is always my go to whenever in Macon. Rooms are always clean and customer service is exceptional. Great location and close to downtown and anything needed. Quiet hotel even though I75 is right out front.

This Best Western served its purpose with a clean, comfortable room at a good price. ADA parking wasn't particularly good and the chair in the room was narrow. Because of back issues, I can't sleep in a bed and spent most of the night sleeping in my wheelchair. Breakfast was OK. The staff was friendly. I'll try them again but I will ask for a chair without arms. Good price.

The motel provided everything we wanted from a motel room. The beds and pillows were comfortable, the TV was easy to use, even for people who are not tech saavy, we had access to a nice fitness room, and the breakfasts were delicious with foods that were good for a low carb diet. The staff were friendly and helpful.

This is a very good Best Western. The people who own the hotel obviously take a lot of pride in their property. The lobby is beautiful and the paint, trim and fixtures are all in great shape. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Everything very clean. Nice pool too. It has the biggest breakfast room I've ever seen in a hotel like this! This hotel is a good value.

Chose to stay here because the price was reasonable, even with a small dog and was happy to receive great front desk service, a good breakfast. Only stayed one night but I would stay here again. Everything seemed clean. The property is well cared for, even if the rooms were older decor. I recommend this place.

People partying til 3AM in parking lot, staff refused to give full refund and said they didn't care if I called corporate to complain . . Had to sleep in fast food parking lot to be able to drive to my destination . . Best Western and the rude staff sucks ! !

The rooms were clean & although they are pet friendly. They ask before assigning you to a room. They have rooms that have not had pets in them. The bed wasn't the most comfortable but it was not unbearable. Breakfast was good too.

We've stayed here many times. Like it's location right off highway, near restaurants, and lounge next door. Beds comfortable but pillows are very hard. Breakfast the same-pretty awful. Front desk and breakfast staff very friendly.

It's obvious the owners are really trying to improve this property. However, upon entering room, very strong odor of mold. Could visibly see the mold on the ceiling. Also, no luggage carts available. Asked reception but told they didn't know where any were.

Nice facilities. Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable and plenty of pillows. Bathroom was clean with nice amenities. Breakfast was very nice with many choices of hot food, juice, fresh fruit, and seating amenities.

Close to I-75. Clean and quiet. Friendly young lady at check-in. Very good value for the money? Ask for a room to the North? Or West? Semi truck parking on one side of the hotel. We didn't experience any problems but I'm not sure how busy it gets. Just and FYI

Great rooms, lots of amenities...huge breakfast. They have a lounge that was a great place to grab a drink at the end of the day. The front desk was helpful...never asked them for much but covered all the bases during my check- in and gave me a couple bottles of water..nice touch.

Considering accommodating staff, great location and excellent facility, this place checked all the boxes for me. Selections and staffing at breakfast were great. Easy access to interstate. Blues club next door!

old and tierd!if you need a computer do not stay here,was tolld it has been out for over 8 months.breakfast was just okay,nothing special.the light next to our bed has a short,bath room old and needs updating

Shower will go from warm to freezing, Ventilation system is shared with the bar/lounge so room and halls smells of cigarette smoke. A/C system in the rooms need to be updated. Our room a/c didn't work alll that well at all. Neither did our friends a/c in their room.

First, the breakfast and the host were wonderful. The bad part was we arrived and were given room 129 which is just inside rear door D. Upon arrival and getting our room about 3 pm I noticed 2 men and a girl drinking and throwing their empties over the fence. They then left in a car and later in a pickup. We went to sleep at 8:30 and at 12:30 doors started slamming, out door D to smoke every ten minutes (stunk up our room). The banging and arguing continued until 4:30. At 5:30 we decided to shower and leave. Moral: Don't get 1st floor room and stay away from exit doors. Nice hotel, clean, great breakfast but we are very disappointed in our stay. Being in GA where they love guns we decided one cannot confront these idiots!

The room itself was fine, but there were semis parked right outside with generators running all night which were very loud and actually vibrating. Definitely not conducive to get any sleep. I would not recommend this hotel for that reason alone.

The room was spacious,clean,and updated. The breakfast was amazing considering many hotels have cut back due to rising costs. The staff was pleasant and helpful at a late hour. Would highly recommend. Nice going Best Western

We only stayed one night on our way to Florida. The room was nice, the breakfast abundant, and the price was affordable. It was an easy stop off of I-75 and there were gas stations and a few restaurants available nearby. The lobby when you come in was tastefully decorated, and the check-in procedure was very simple. The woman who was in charge of the breakfast was very accommodating and made us feel special.

Nice and clean, quiet to sleep , fair breakfast and friendly personnel. You will find all you need from your room and all works as well. And the room was cleaned well, not just try but cleaned well. I felt price also fair. You would not be dis appointed.

After a long day of traveling we decided to stop at the halfway point in our trip for some rest. Neither my wife nor I expected top tier where we decided to stay, just a decent bed and A/C. I cannot comment on either of those as we were unable to even check-in to this Best Western. We arrived at almost 12:30am and could not even find a place to park to do so. It appeared to be a rather lively party going on with a trailer drawn smoker and all the beer you could want right up against the hotel. Add that to the fact that there were vehicles parked up under the awning, all the way out to the street and all down the left side of the hotel we decided to just keep driving. we ended up sleepng in our car that night in a rest area just south. Lucky for us that we only lost 20,000 rewards points to book this stay and not the cash it would have normally cost.

It was a older motel but had been remodeled. It was clean and safe place to stay. Nothing special about it. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the same basic hotel breakfast. Breakfast area was spacious and the lady doing breakfast was very friendly. She keep it super clean and refilled.

Coming from New York, and my first time traveling alone, I had no idea what to expect. But I was greeted with so much kindness and care while staying here. I know it's their jobs to be friendly, but it felt more authentic than other hotel stays. The king bed room was extremely cozy, well decorated, and even had a desk to do work at if I wasn't there for 100% leisure. The microwave was useful for heating leftovers as I visited the many restaurants around the area, and the fridge was very convenient to keep drinks cold. Continental breakfast, I have no clue what they put in that waffle batter but I need them to bottle it and ship some over asap. So good, and the woman who runs the breakfast is so sweet and an absolute beast in the kitchen. I'm typically not much of a brand loyalist, but I think that's changed after my time at this inn.

In a perfect world every hotel would be this amazing. I live in a tourist location. This place could train others. It was truly beyond expectations. Great value!Beds were very comfortable. Friendly staff and clean. Free breakfast had four stations of tasty variety.

It was okay, not the best. I use BW alot because I travel with my service dog. I did have some security issues with the back part of the hotel where I stayed. the outside door was propped open all night (which was cold and critters and leaves entered the premise), and a person was sleeping in car outside the door, I left as soon as I awoke so I did not use any amenities, including BFST.

At first Glance this hotel looks like an old style converted property, in fact I was tool by the front desk staff that it has been a Best Western for 40 years, it is very well maintained, security is far better than most higher end hotels, door locks the best I have seen, bath towels super soft, beds and pillows very comfortable, housekeeping staff going the extra mile for covid cleanliness and sanitation, breakfast much better than most and lots of room, staff very friendly and professional, five stars to housekeeping. I recommend to others and will stay again on my next trip through the area.

Staff is friendly, especially the breakfast area lady! Best coffee I've had at a hotel! Room was comfy and clean. Beds a little squeaky, but didn't bother us while sleeping. Very reasonable. Didn't check out the pool area, but the courtyards were pretty. Outside pool not open for season.

What a pleasant experience at this Best Western. And, WAIT TILL YOU EXPERIENCE THE WATER PRESSURE! Amazing! Friendly & most accommodating staff! Add a complimentary hot breakfast (which is no where to be found in pricier establishments), and you won't be disappointed. Oh, did I mention it's right off I-75? Nice-sized pool during the summer.

Great place for location and quick stay in Macon area. The room was clean and the breakfast was one of the better selections for hot food with lots of options to start your day. Frances made sure we knew where all the hot items were and she was very helpful. Great stay for the price

The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. The interior was clean and had all the amenities needed. Internet worked well. The outside area around back/side is pretty dark and people congregate out there so it seems a bit unsafe since it's so dark. Needs better attention spent on emptying outside garbage cans. They were overflowing onto the ground. But overall, a decent place to stay.

Beautiful hotel lobby, great room, wonderful breakfast selections. Very nice ADA room with shower chair and handrails in the bathroom, comfortable beds, extra seating as well. Breakfast had a large selection of hot and cold foods. Just wish it was nearer to home so I could stay there again!

the room was very clean and spacious, the breakfast was great as it was the best selection we have seen, hot or cold selections available. Not given a 5 star rating because the internet was slow, and the initial check in took longer than expected with a person in training.

Had to change rooms three times at midnight because the bathroom sink sprang a leak and the first two rooms offered had a television and an AC that didn't work. Two of our bags were soaked. Brittany at the front desk was not interested in dealing with the problems. Was told the manager would deal with my complaint in the morning, but the next morning a woman who I think was the manager told me after I checked out that the manager wouldn't be in until the next day. She told me she would speak to the manager personally and that they would be in touch. Yeah, right! Haven't heard from them. It's been over a week.

Everyone was smiling and welcoming. The only problem we had was resolved quickly. Loved the offered breakfast. Even with a lot of people checking in and out it went fast. We loved how clean everything was too!

My husband and I were very happy with our stay. This is an older motel, with air conditioning unit under the window, so it is a bit noisier than central air, but that was the only (and minor) issue. Carpets and all else in our room were spotless, and the staff was pleasant. Pool much bigger than most hotel or motel pools, my husband could happily swim laps. Excellent eggs at breakfast, coffee too. We would stay again. The hotel allows pets, and they are all in one section of the building. Our spotless room was a pet-friendly room.

Needed last minute room as we were traveling so close to a 10:30pm check in. The clerk had me sign a paper and handed my a room key. Rooms didn't seem well maintained. Toilet ran all night. Other guests were very loud through the halls late into the morning hours. Room was very humid so blankets felt dirty and sticky. Got up at 9am to shower and leave after poor night of rest and the water got hot then went freezing cold and this lasted for longer than 10 minutes as I was trying to rinse out my hair. Check the lady was talking to someone else and after 5 minutes asked if I was checking out and pointed at a box and continued on with her conversation. I would not recommend this hotel.

We stayed one night here on our way to the beach, and everything was exactly as it should be. The Inn is a quick trip off of the interstate, and the room was quiet, clean and roomy. We checked in late, and the night clerk was helpful and friendly. A real highlight was the breakfast hostess, who was beyond efficient; she seemed to be able to anticipate everyone's needs and meet them right away. Most of all, though, she was just a delightful person; she brightened up the room and made our day better. She deserves a big raise!

First: all staff were polite and helpful, the parking lot was well maintained, and overall most areas seemed clean. The ladies working in the breakfast area were delightful. According to Best Western's app, this hotel has a cocktail lounge; according to an employee, they are not affiliated with the cocktail lounge next door that was closed “after they were busted selling crack”. According to the app, amenities included a USA Today and our reward status offered a bag with water and snacks upon check in; neither were available, somehow because of COVID...? In our king room, the bathroom was so small that it was impossible to get out of the shower without closing the door and stepping around the toilet and the toilet paper holder was located under the sink counter. This did not live up to the standards of Best Western to which we have been accustomed.

After a couple of weeks traveling, we were totally impressed with this hotel. We didn't have a reservation but needed to stop and sleep. Jean took our call and was so very kind and helpful, assuring us of a room upon arrival. She greeted us with a big smile and had us in a room in no time. Customer service was better than any other hotel, by far. The room was clean, with all the amenities we needed. The hot breakfast bar offered a huge variety of fresh options, eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, waffles, fruit, yogurt, pastries, cereal, milk, juices, etc. Frances kept everything well stocked and clean. She was quick to check on patrons and was so kind and very proud of the breakfast offered. I highly recommend this as a stop along the way or as a destination! Best stay all vacation!

Customer service was excellent so friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and it was easy to get to and get in and out of. Parking lot was well lit and property was well kept and maintained. Check in and check out was very easy.

Checked in to this BW hotel was quick , efficient and the lady who checked us in was the one whom I made reservations with on the phone , calling the hotel directly. She had us in our rooms very quickly. The hotel is an older building kept up very well, both rooms we booked were clean, sanitized and everything worked properly. Upkeep has been a priority for this BW and it shows. I asked for two quiet rooms which we were booked in, toward the back of the hotel and we slept soundly after a long day of driving north on I 75.

Staff polite and friendly the rooms are standard double beds I did find the bathroom a little small. Pool closed and breakfast is limited just up the road is Waffle House to get a better breakfast it's walkable just have to be careful as there aren't any walk ways.

Picked this hotel because they accepted pets. The beds, bedding and carpets were very clean. The toilet and bathtub needed more cleaning. Hotel is very old and walls paper thin. There is no green space to exercise your dog which was a little difficult. Plumbing is very loud and at 2 am the room above us turned on the sink, which woke us up and we thought the ceiling was about to come down on us. This happened two further times during the night. Kids were in the hallways until 12:30 am yelling, playing and shouting. The room next door turned their TV on at 12:30 and woke us up it was so loud. We called the front desk and they were very prompt in addressing the situation. Unfortunately, a very sleepless night. We paid nearly double the price than others in the area because it was reviewed quite highly, overall very disappointed to have selected this pricey option.

Very small rooms, dusty, bathroom door almost touches toilet. Mold on the shower curtain. Shower kept going cold, maintenance was suppose to come fix it but didn't. You can tell that they don't take very good care of there rooms. This review is taking a long time to load now because the WiFi is very slow.

We were touring Florida & Georgia and visiting friends. We did several historical visits/tours. The Best Western Riverside Inn was a GREAT place to stay. It was VERY clean , great staff and good breakfast considering COVID it was good grab & go.

The next morning we were greeted by the maintenance personnel as we left the room. The positive attitude is similar to what we have been accustomed to on a cruise ship. It gave us a great start to the day. We will definitely stay here again when traveling up and down the I-75 corridor.

Simple stay for 1 night but from the reservations agent (not sure where we got directed to...bad reservations number hopefully) - stated - did I stutter and hung up on me,.... to the male desk clerk checking us out and the other female at the desk today (11/20/20) every single one of them was NOT PLEASANT AND HAD TERRBILE CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. TERRIBLE. Only person worth keeping is the person who worked at check-in last night 11/19/20.

The room was filthy and dusty really dusty like it had not been cleaned in months The excuse was someone rented the room for 1 month.... looked like it wasn't cleaned hopefully the sheets were! I have pictures but no where to post them

The property is older and could use some renovation, but overall the place was nice and clean. The curtains in the rooms could be better as they hang loose and the parking lights shine through all night and the bathroom is tiny! Overall it was clean and efficient. I was skeptical because none of the staff wore a uniform so I was unsure who was working and who was not working. The

Old Hotel refurbished. The first impression is good when you come in the lobby with nice stairs and white piano but when I come in the room smells like old dirty AC or maybe the carpet. I return to the front office and request to change the woman looks me with a bad face... but gave me a better one. I am lucky the hotel there is a lot of available rooms. I take this option during my trip back to Florida. Next time I will try a better place.

Our family stayed one night while moving cross country with two dogs. We chose this due to the price and accepting our fur babies. The lobby was beautiful. The staff was very nice. We were directed to our room in their “pet area”. Upon entry into our room, my husband was immediately ready to leave. There were chunks of dirt and dust on the top of the toilet from the vent directly above. The room was musty and smelled like mildew and pet urine. I cleaned the room using sanitizing wipes ( due to COVID, I now carry them with me). The wipes were visibly dirty, which leads me to believe the room had not been truly cleaned in some time. Our room had two queen beds. My husband was setting on one bed and reached over only to find the bed was wet in several spots, not just damp. (The entire room felt damp). We had adjoining rooms with our son. The doors were pretty much stuck together and we were unable to utilize the joint rooms. One door was able to be opened and there was mildew on the doors. To date, this was the nastiest place I have ever stayed. The night before, we stayed at a competitor's hotel for less money a night and it was nearly spotless. During this time of the pandemic, we expected the rooms to be clean, yet they were not. I was not expecting the Ritz Carlton, but was definitely expecting a clean room for $100/ night. I couldn't wait to shower the next morning and leave. I will never stay in this place again. I'd rather sleep in my car at a rest stop.

Favorite place to stay. Live in Fl and due to the wonderful staff we always plan to stay our first night leaving Fl and on return home. Staff is like extended family. Clean room, soft bed and quiet rooms even though near I-75 traffic. Even through COVID-19 they still have a small breakfast with a smile. Can't ask for more

Just been working w/no play & sleep deprived. Had a blast getting back to & putting me first. Slept, ate great, and of course a lil retail therapy. Can't wait to do it again. Soon. My only issue was my $10 BW Travel card that still hasn't been deducted from my bill. Signed for correct amount at check in, but was charged the wrong amount anyway.

Really nice employees. Lady at the front desk on the evening of 3/13 was excellent. The Lady running the breakfast area was awesome. Best "free" hotel breakfast I have had in awhile. For an older building, really good condition and very clean. Lots of fluffy pillows.

The hotel staff was great at customer service. Great breakfast! Hot eggs and biscuits and gravy. Beds were very comfortable! They do have smoking and non-smoking rooms. We will be staying there again. Easy on and easy off the highway.

This motel was a great choice for my business trip in Macon. The facility was absolutely clean throughout and smelled great throughout in the halls and the room itself. Quiet. No interstate noise. Service at the desk that evening was quick and efficient. Check out already had my invoice slipped under my door when I woke up. Breakfast was great. Do NOT believe the idiots running down the place in the reviews...all liars. I stay in over 100 motels a year on business. I will stay here again with family or for business, Book this place with confidence..

Very friendly staff, very clean hotel, including the hallways. Quiet. Front desk staff helpful on explaining area and places to go. The lounge next door was very smoky so we didn't go in. There is no riverview. Applebees is within walking distance

This is a great place to stop and stay overnight lots to see and do . People here are great and very helpful. Always a pleasure to stay in this location when we are on a road trip. Lookin forward to coming this way again soon.

This place was crawling with ants, the ceiling was leaking. My niece is pregnant, this should not have happened. The bathrooms was not cleaned, when we called about someone coming to check it out, no one ever came. the staff was nasty. Customer service was bad. I would not stay at a best western ever again, until they show some improvement. The room smelt like smoke.

No noise no problems great staff and BREAKFAST! We were there 3 days. Service was with a smile by every staff member. The rooms were comfortable and inviting. Rooms were nice and clean. I will stay again.

Stayed here for 1 night. Selected due to allowing dogs and had reasonable fee. Hotel staff is very nice and helpful. Free breakfast. Standard hotel with rooms that are partially updated. Could use some updating but overall clean.

Very comfortable hotel after a long day of driving. Check in was very smooth and efficient. Room was very comfortable. Decor is tasteful. The breakfast area was very nicely decorated and had a nice assortment of hot and cold food. I would recommend it, and actually have booked a room for my return trip home.

The room was spacious, clean .. and the bed comfortable. Very enjoyable. Most of the staff were friendly and welcoming; and the breakfast was most excellent. The lounge next door is .. well you need to be a smoker to appreciate it; and I appreciated having a gym with a cable-machine

Check in was a breeze with a cheerful night clerk. Although the motel appeared to be older, it was well maintained. We had a first floor room near an exit door but heard nothing. Breakfast offered a lot of options, more than a standard breakfast. The woman in charge of the area was always busy making sure the tables were clean and food was in the serving trays. She greeted everyone with a warm hello and offered help if someone appeared to be looking for something. I would definitely stay here again if traveling through Macon, GA.

We were very happy with the staff at the front desk Miss Benita and Miss Francis were very helpful to me and my Husband, we were down in macon because of a family loss and they were very kind to us, the Lady that made to breakfast was the best ,the dining area was always clean and the food was very well prepared , the staff on riverside drive gets thumbs up for us.

My family and I stayed at the BEST WESTERN INN on RIVERSIDE in Macon, GA. I always check the beds and things, but we got in late and I didn't fully inspect the day of check in, I'm 8 months pregnant and was really tired, anyway the next day came and my one year old was napping when my spouse seen something moving on the bed and there it was a bed bug.

Outside appearance of hotel was great. Breakfast was good. There was hair in the shower and the back of the toilet was dirty. Sheets on bed were turned inside out making you wonder if they were changed or just flipped over. Otherwise room was ok.

Came here to see my boyfriend while he was on a job in Macon. Though it's an older property, it was very clean and the room was very nice. The breakfast service was wonderful and the hostess was very accommodating. Everything was hot and fresh and really tasty. They have coffee in the lobby and the rooms and a smart water fountain that you can fill your bottles back up through the day without having to awkwardly tilt the bottles. Everyone I encountered was friendly and the pool area was very relaxing and nice. We checked out the back porch lounge but ended up getting beer from the gas station down the street because it was busy in there that night. We would definitely stay here again if we have to go back for another job in the area.

Here for 2 weeks with a 3 day break for my father's illness. There was no break in price for extended stay or due to family in icu. Rooms were relatively clean & comfortable. The free breakfast was very nice & daily from 6-9:30. They have real breakfast with sausage, eggs, b&g & waffle maker. The women at the front desk were so nice to deal with, but the gentleman was a different story. We stayed due to proximity to hospital. Rooms ran $74/night, around $95 with tax & fees.

We had a good stay at the Best Western Riverside Inn. The rooms were clean, and the location was convenient to the Macon area. The breakfast buffet in the morning was a plus, and was well stocked with actual food like eggs and bacon and waffles.

I had read several bad reviews, though they were outnumbered by the good. We found the Riverside Best Western in Macon to be a very nice hotel, nice rooms with fridge, microwave, desk, good lighting, clean bathroom, comfortable beds, accomodating staff. Check in was easy and fast. Nice, safe area, not noisy at all. Food and shopping close by. Small pool, very clean. We'll stay there again should we return to Macon.

Hi, I was told by a fellow Gabba star that their rate was $74 per night. BWRS denied my request to credit my account - as did the corporate BW. I'm so shocked that the BW would not take my word for it but went with the local market stating they don't have a rate for GABBA. Please reply if you got a deal at $74 v $147 per night.

We had a room on the river. The property is older but well maintained and clean. The breakfast that was included exceeded our expectations. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Boise.

All staff was very friendly, room rates were very reasonable, the room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. There was numerous breakfast item choices included. I will definitely stay here again.

If you are coming to town for GABBAFEST & the Music, You want to stay here. The rooms are priced right, Free HOT Breakfast everyday, MINUTES From everything you will do for the Gabba Event and The BACK PORCH Lounge (connected to hotel) is where you will find just about ALL of the Local and Famous musicians who entertain us at Gabbafest after the shows and late into the night. Lots of fun and memories. The Hotel & rooms are clean, BUT SOME of the rooms DO NEED updating. We have stayed several times, the Rooms are clean but this time our room #250 had a smell and the a/c was not working properly . The staff is friendly and always around the hotel if you need them.

Adjacent to Back Porch Lounge- great location for that! Breakfast and Pool perks! Snack machine must have been overworked as it was Out of Order by mid-stay. Staff accommodating. No elevator (but it is only two stories). Appreciated the non- smoking wing.

We've stayed at this hotel a number of times. Clean and comfy beds. Very friendly staff. Back Porch Lounge right next door. Breakfast was so-so. But similar to others. Rooms could use an update. I'm not a fan of carpeted floors.

We stayed here for two nights in August. The rooms were clean but the air conditioners did not overcome the high humidity levels in the rooms and hotel hallways. We realized on our departure that the housekeepers open all the outside doors and keep them open for several hours during the day!

We chose this hotel for a quick stopover on a long road trip because of location and it's pet friendly. The rooms are ok, beds are definitely worn out, bathroom was so small, and I am 5'4, I could barely move around. Free breakfast was included with the usual cereal, eggs, bacon, fruit. Employees were friendly and helpful.

We drove 12 hours and just needed a room for one night while traveling to Florida. This location is conveniently right off I-75. The reviews were decent so I gave them a call to see if they had availability on a Friday night. They did and I mentioned a coupon over the phone, but could not use it upon arrival because it had to be printed. I did however get the AAA discount which helped a little. The hotel lobby is pleasing when you walk in and we were greeted by a friendly lady who checked us in. It was getting late but we still had time to enjoy the pool that felt heated, perfect for a quick night swim. Our room was clean and comfortable and no odor- which is a bonus! Bathroom was small but very clean. Breakfast area was welcoming and there was a lady working who was very pleasant the next morning. My only complaint is when we checked out I questioned if my BW rewards were added and the guy at the front desk said no and asked me to write my membership number on our receipt. So I thought he would take care of but he did not. He was not too pleasant for a morning front desk clerk. I had to email customer service to get the points added to my account. All in all, we would stay here again. Thank you Best Western - Riverside Inn.

I chose this hotel after reading the reviews, and it was a very good choice. We stayed on June 1 2019 on our way to Florida. It is in a quiet location off I-75 and on the outer limits of Macon. We were greeted with gift bags each containing a bottle of water, a small bag of chips & a granola bar. The bathroom was a nice size with a walk in shower ---I can not easily get into a tub shower. I did appreciate the shower stool that was in the bathroom. The main room was spacious with two very comfortable queen beds. The furniture and lamps were nice and the decor pleasant. The expanded breakfast had a nice selection and was good. There is a Red Lobster and an Applebee's close by. The only reason I did not give this Inn five stars was because there were NO towel bars. Even to hang a towel by the sink, we had to use the grab bar by the toliet and that put the towel over the toliet tissue. However, I doubt if bathrooms in non-handicap rooms have this problem. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

We stayed here for just the one night and found it to be clean and comfortable. The reception staff were polite and efficient. We didn't use the swimming pool but did use the fitness suite. Breakfast was plentiful and the lady overseeing things was lovely and accommodating. Definitely would return.

When we drove up there were large groups of people standing around in the front parking lot. the bar its attached to has a front door 50ft away from the front door. Front desk clerk was super rude!!!!

This hotel was VERY clean, which is the single most important thing for me when traveling. It was recently renovated; the furnishings were new. Beds comfortable but sheets scratchy. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Breakfast was standard continental fare. The lady working the breakfast area was extremely kind and helpful and made the breakfast experience enjoyable. My biggest complaint is that the whole place smelled very musty - halls, rooms, everywhere. This was unfortunate because if not for the musty smell and scratchy sheets I would have left a much higher rating.

Person on the desk at check in didn't know how to use my email address to register us for our Best Western rewards. Told to call Best Western to get my points. When I did provide my 16 digit membership number he only hit the keys on the keyboard 5 or 6 times. Yep he didn't care...I ended up calling to get my points. Worst check in experience ever....give this place a pass when in Macon, especially if Michael is checking you in.

Got to our room to find two conditioners, went down to front desk to ask for a shampoo got a attitude, then he went back to playing on the computer, ignored us while we sat waiting and then when we asked again he acted like we were bothering him. Will never stay here when we visit Macon again and sure won't be bringing our group here, good thing we scouted it out ahead of time, very unhappy with this stay, hotel looks nothing like pictures and lounge was so fun of cigarette smoke you couldn't enjoy a drink

Old hotel in a dicey area. Credit to the owner who tried to put lipstick on a pig (remodel). The interior smells old, musty and stuffy. We got in late (early morning) and only slept in the room. No showers and we did not eat their breakfast. Woke up in the morning to a cockroach crawling across the bathroom floor. I showed the video of the cockroach to the female desk clerk. Her initial statement was “Is that a lizard?!?” She was dismissive and began to argue with me, the customer. Initially I was offered a 30% discount, but found out later that was rescinded because of my arguing for a complete refund. So, if in need of a place to stay near Macon, avoid this hotel, keep on driving or sleep in your car. Night clerk and day clerk were rude, not helpful reneged on their initial discount only to charge us $111 for a room with roaches.

This hotel still offers some smoking rooms. They are in a separate bldg from the non-smoking rooms so that is good for all. One down side is no elevator! Carrying luggage upstairs is no fun. The breakfast was only so-so -- typical powdered eggs & beige breakfast. Not too much room to find a seat so I didn't eat at all. The clerk at the front was nice and did her job. Did offer any "gift bag" (like others mentioned) or even a water. No view -- just a hotel on a 4 lane road. No side walks. Not industrial but NOT scenic. (It's on Riverside Dr but I never saw a river) We could never figure out how to even set the clock to the current time. We only stayed one night - and I would do that again. If I'm in Macon longer than one night I will probably look for something else.

I booked this hotel for my recent work trip and ultimately was disappointed in my decision. First, I had a question prior to my arrival and called all day long without an answer from the front desk. They literally do not answer the phone. I wanted to change my hotel after that, but it is hard to make changes to my work itinerary, so i decided to show up anyway. The hotel itself has musty/muggy smell throughout. My room was muggy as well. Additionally the rooms are very dated, but it is an affordable hotel, so I guess you get what you pay for. The service has been decent though and the breakfast was typical fare. Overall I would try another hotel when visiting the area next time.

Stayed here on way to N GA and on way back. First stay ok. Welcomed with a gift bag by the desk clerk. Room was in back - had to drive around. No elevators so you need to stay on bottom floor or haul your luggage up a "grand" flight of stairs. Breakfast was so-so. Guy supporting the breakfast food was not friendly. Our room had a toilet flushing problem which we reported. Returned to same room 10 days later. Toilet still not flushing well. Desk Clerk at check in acted like we were interrupting her by checking in. Asked for gift bag - never heard of it. Asked for water. After 10 minutes she managed to bring out a bottle of water. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Always trusted Best Western to be nice and clean. No more! Live bug found in the bed upon arrival. Then, we were moved to a "smoking" room and I have asthma. Unfriendly, unapologetic front desk staff.

My stay at the Best Western was great. The room was clean and very accommodating. The staff was friendly and very helpful during my time there. The host on duty always greeted me with a smile and helped me when I had difficulties with my room key.

The hotel stay was adequate but the customer service was awful. I booked a room with a voucher for a free night and after being told i would receive the free night, i notice the charges on my bank statement. I then call to get the charge removed and I get the run around and put on hold and a very rude lady at the desk. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Check in was fine. Realised there was a bar attached to hotel. Questioned whether there would be an issue but assured there would be nothing. Woke up to loud thumping and running around from the floor above (I think) at 1:30 am and after listening to it for over an hour called the front desk. She told me it was probably the band at the bar packing up. I told her I thought it was above us. She said she would look into it. The noise continued until I finally fell asleep through it around 3 am! My sister was in a room across the hall and she told me she called the office at 3:30 in the morning because there was fighting in the hall. Not recommended! I will say the woman running the breakfast kitchen in the morning did a wonderful job!!

We travel from michigan to Florida often and wee always stop at this hotel. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, there is an Applebees right down the street, and the price is awesome. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling thru Georgia. See you again soon!

Hotel has two buildings, smoking and non-smoking, but the lobby is in the smoking building and next door to the bar and the smoke smell is very strong. Have to go through smoking areas and lobby to get to breakfast. Not a huge deal, but annoying. Awning over Entrance D dripped the whole evening, night, and morning, even when rain stopped. I mentioned it when we went in, but next morning it was still dripping. Room was OK, beds were comfortable. ALERT for people with bad knees - it has an old-fashioned 14" commode.

This appears to be a recently renovated property and it is attractive throughout. It is also quiet. Front desk staff person Ty was outstandingly friendly, efficient and helpful. Breakfast was fine, the standard BW fare. But the renovators appear to have been very shoddy workmen. In our first room, we could not get a Wi-Fi signal. In our second room we could, but the room cooling system never actually delivered cool air. It did, however, make a ton of noise. The hooks on the bathroom door were at the very top, out of reach of normal humans. The bathroom tap controls were stiff and made warm/hot water hard to get. The false marble countertop was discolored around the taps, which were designed to deposit water on the marble almost as much as into the sink. The bed sheets were scratchy and the pillows were lumpy. It just wasn't up to BW normal standards though very attractive.

This place is exactly what you'd expect from a Best Western in Macon. Their service is consistent, breakfast is standard continental, wifi is decent, rooms are adequately clean, and the area is pretty safe. It's pretty close to just about everything in Macon as well.

The hotel is getting new carpet in hallways. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was great! Sausage, eggs, biscuits fruit and muffins. WiFi was horrible. We could not get anything to load. If you need it to work I'd probably not stay here unless it's been upgraded. I have never had this kind of problem anywhere else and even had them move us to lower level to see if it was better. It wasn't.

Not great. Bathtub faucet quite loose. Room quite musty. Breakfast area poorly designed - food in 3 different areas so people criss-cross and easy to bump into each other - worst design I've seen in a free breakfast area. Lounge outside and next to hotel and very small and smokey - bad.

The room was adequate. The whole hotel smelt of cigarette smoke. Our room did not smell. The bed was OK. The shower was hot decent showershower pressure. The Attending at breakfast seemed very helpful and hospitable! I had a nice hot breakfast as well as fruits and oatmeal.

The hotel is under remodel. I felt I should have been told when booking, as I would have probably made other hotel accommodations. The room smelt of smoke and I have breathing issues and I am very sensitive to smoke. The mattress was terrible, I could feel the coils in my back all night.

My family & I stayed there on the way down to Florida last March 2018 and were very impressed. The lobby is really amazingly unique (loving that white grand piano and stairs!), the staff were very friendly, the entire hotel was clean and in great condition, and the room was clean and comfortable. And there is a little bar right next door. The pool wasn't open when we went but that makes sense...a little chilly still for the season, and it's not unique to this hotel...all the hotels in the area have their pools closed during this month. Anywhooo, we were so impressed that we are staying there again this year on our way down to Florida again. We're looking for to this stop. :)

I was so happy with our stay. The employees were so friendly. The breakfast was hot and yummy. The room was clean and the bed was great and those pillows 4 of them on each bed awesome! Love Best Western!

We stayed at this property because we needed an affordable 1 night stay for a concert in town. Checkin was quick and painless, the counter person was extremely pleasant. Room was clean and spacious.Breakfast ,while just ok as far as food quality, was an awesome experience due to the lady attending the area...she was on top of everything ,while maintaining a pleasant demeanor and being helpful to pointing things out. The coffee was spot on as well... next time in Macon, we will use this property.

We have stayed at this property several times before. I am happy to report it has never disappointed us. The rooms are incredibly clean and nicely appointed. But again - the highlight of the stay was the breakfast. Thankfully Francis is still in charge - and still providing spectacular attention to the dining area.

The hotel and room was very clean, great water pressure in shower. When we arrived t hff e manager was very friendly. He took the time to give us directions to a good near by restaurant , he recommended because we were starving when we got there. Everything was great except the coffee pot was plugged in the bathroom near the toilet , so I didnt fix any coffee.

The front lobby is very nice. The personnel were very pleasant and welcoming. When we got to our room I was somewhat surprised as to how the room didn't reflect the lobby. The room is small and old. The bedding needs updating. The sheets are showing wear and the comforter comes out of the 70's. The hallway to the rooms is cold looking and unwelcoming. Although this is no fault of the hotel I just wanted to mention that the hallway stank of marijuana and I could smell it in the room by the door. This made me feel uncomfortable. Will not stay here again.

I would recommend staying at this hotel,Very clean and well managed,Free breakfast was really good and check in and check out was easy and quick.The check in staff was very nice and greeted me as I entered the building.Much better than numerous other hotels I have stayed at.That is very important to me.

Bought the room on Priceline for $50 but $75 before everything is added on. Clean rooms, nice lobby. Very friendly desk staff. Good value when you add the breakfast. Quiet at the back even though on a major road. Bar had no appeal.

It looks as if this has been recently remodeled in many places. The lobby was beautiful. The rooms were nice. The hallways need to be re-carpeted because there was definitely a distinct odor of smoke when heading down the hallway. The man at check-in in the evening was extremely pleasant. He was certainly willing to go the extra Mille if needed. We did not need anything but we're grateful for his positive attitude. The morning breakfast was what is most typically found in moderately budget hotels. Always appreciate the nice make yourself waffle. Also yogurt and eggs are also always welcome. Will definitely look forward to a return and hopefully their upgrades and renovations will be complete by that time.

The hotel was really nice. Breakfast was really good with eggs and bacon. Staff in breakfast room and front desk were friendly and nice. Only reason gave 4 instead of 5 was the lounge, Did not like lounge, they allow smoking so it smelled and seemed like mostly locals. Will return to hotel and NOT the lounge.

We all experienced 3-4 star hotels that barely feel like 2 stars. Her was the surprise. Spotless room, super polite staff and great southern breakfast. Clean, efficient and perfectly located on the way to Florida. Highly recommend.

It was quiet clean and convenient. My only complaint is that in my second night there, it seemed my WiFi cut out a few times. But that is a minor thing to me. Overall, it was a nice stay and a nice hotel.

Compared to the other hotels and prices in the area, the room size and value fell below my expectations. Lobby was dark and creepy. The hotel staff was nice and the breakfast was ok. Pick you next hotel in the area wisely.

Nice clean B/W location. Newly renovated rooms. I good place to stay when traveling. Get the coupon book at the welcome centers when traveling for a discount on price. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was above average. There is lots of places very close to this location for dining and shopping. A public's and Kroger and all the fast food chains as well as Italian and Steak house. We would certainly recommend this location.

This Best Western is great place to stay. Also friendly and helpful staff. Close to downtown and interstate. Quiet and heating/cooling system very quiet. Good choices for breakfast - Fantastic Omlet and a front dest staff that listens.

This was just a quick overnight stay on way to Florida. The room itself was clean and did not smell, but the rest of the hotel, lobby and hallway reeked of smoke. The bathroom was VERY small. The breakfast was good and well prepared. The fellow who was in charge was very nice. Rates were a little high.

In town to do the Allman Brothers experience with my Sister. Had used the Marriott in the past but they would not help me out or offer me a rate they gave me back in June. The Best Western Riverside was very cool. Super friendly staff and amazing breakfast. Will be my first choice any time I am in Macon!

Staff outstanding. Made us feel very welcome. Were on way back to Fl finishing up short vacation. Stayed there at beginning and were shocked the front desk staff had remembered us on the return home. Rooms were clean. Updated decor. Even though close to interstate, room was quiet and beds comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional. Intend to stay again when passing through area. All thumbs up.

I stayed 2 nights for business. Although, the area around the hotel (other business etc) are nothing to write home about, the hotel and staff were great. I highly recommend the breakfast. Also, I love how the windows on the top floor can be opened to let in the night air.

After a long day of driving we stopped at the Riverside Inn in Macon. The lobby is most impressive with a large white grand piano and a sweeping staircase. Our interior room overlooked the outdoor pool and lovely courtyard. The room was clean, bed comfortable, and was close to the lobby. The smell of bacon awakened us and we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast in a large eating area overlooking the pool. The desk was was helpful in directing us to tourist sites located in the area. This is an older hotel and we would recommend for an overnight stay.

Hotel is easy to locate. The room was clean and check-in was very easy. The room we had was a nice size. The beds were a bit too hard for me. The hotel was not noisy and I was able to get some sleep. I would stay here again

The service in this hotel is fabulous. The front desk service great. Anyone we dealt with were fantastic. I want to specifically mention the person who services the breakfast area was amazing. She helped us with things we didnt even mention. Great job. The hotel is under renovation be patient. The rooms are fine. We would stay here again. When its fully renovated it will be awesome with this kind of service.

My family and I stayed here twice recently; once while headed south to a Florida and then again on our return trip home. Both visits went fairly well. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good compared to other hotels I have at stayed previously. The staff was fairly friendly and the rooms were reasonably priced.

BW Riverside Inn is good for a few reasons. If you are coming in for Gabbafest or just to enjoy Macon this hotel is located just off I-75 and is close to town & attractions. The hotel is a little old and the rooms a little musty. But they were clean and comfy. The full breakfast offers hot items as well as cereal, and fruit. The Back door Lounge connected to BW is GREAT for Musicians who come and play there. Its kinda a Juke Joint, nothing fancy, but good music.Lots of musicians who we saw at Gabbafest and the Douglas theatre came here after the shows and played. Riverside's Exterior is Very nice with the lit up palms at night. They just need to update the interior rooms a little. I will stay here again.

As soon as you drive in you realize that the place is well kept. When you walk through the doors, your in a GRAND LOBBY, complete with a baby grand piano and a Beautiful Grand Stair Case for great pictures for weddings, family or grad pics. The hotel room was very clean and very,very up-to-date. The room was very large, bathroom was a nice size, would love to have this place at every location. There is even a lounge attached to the hotel, didn't go there. Had breakfast, it was a very well kept area, food was kept hot and fresh. Good selection of food, complete with biscuits and gravy.

Over all, the hotel was affordable and the interior was very nice. Exterior surroundings were a little bit seedy-looking. Breakfast was very good. No real complaints about the stay as a whole. Would probably stay again if I needed a hotel in that area.

Beds were comfortable, room was large, shower was good. Every member of the staff was very friendly. The breakfast area was beautiful. It is very roomy and clean. The lady working the breakfast area was extremely nice. She is doing a great job keeping everything nice.

We had a wedding in Macon and stayed at this location. Let me start with the cons: this hotel is two floors and has no elevator so pack light and if you have elderly or handicapped family members please make sure that you tell them you need a room on the first floor. The hallway smells like cigarette smoke although it's signs that say no smoking. The hallway needs a deep shampooing. The breakfast is a nice gesture but it's subpar so don't let this be the reason you book. Now to the Pros: When we arrived until we checked out the staff was very friendly. We stayed on the second floor and our room was very clean to the naked eye. It appeared to be recently renovated which was a plus in my book. The bed was fairly comfortable. The room comes equipped with a microwave, mini fridge, iron, and ironing board...which are always bonus points when I stay somewhere. Overall if I had to stay overnight in Macon I would stay here again.

Right from the start this hotel was a disappointment. I was ‘greeted' by a rude lady at the front desk who stated “our internet, TV, and phone aren't working” even before saying hello. That same lady stunk up the whole lobby by smoking right outside of the front door every time I was coming into or out of the hotel- ironically right next to a huge sign stating that this is a smoke-free facility. The hotel is an outdated cheap hotel that hasn't been updated since the 80s at best. It's musty in the hallways. There is no elevator. So you lug your stuff up a staircase. The air conditioner vents in the Hall leak on your head as you go down the hall (maybe the cause of the musty smell is mold...?) The room smelled terribly like mildew. I had a headache from the smell all three nights. The doors don't shut behind you, FYI, because walking to and from my room I saw multiple door wide open with no one in the room and belongings visible from the hall. The hotel is in a bad part of town and the bar attached to the hotel is sleazy. There was a homeless and or drunk person sleeping on the sidewalk one night. I would NOT stay here with my children. The breakfast was good but the lady had a tip jar out on the counter. That seemed pretty pretentious to me and made me feel awkward. My advice is to continue up 75/Riverside Drive a few more miles and stay in a better part of town with nicer hotels.

First room smelled like mildew and there was mildew on the pillow. Second room smelled like smoke, even though it was supposed to be smoke free. The hallway had an old stale smell to it. Cost more than we expected, plus additional charges for our dog. Not at all happy.

Room was nice and clean, fairly updated, everything worked properly and breakfast was great only 4 stars because the guy who checked us in wasn't very informative or friendly possibly sleepy? Checked in at 2am to get a few hours of sleep before finishing our drive and there was a flea on my daughter's pillow that freaked her out. The hallways did smell like smoke a little. Overall not bad.

The stay was okay. Free breakfast was decent. The room was clean - bathroom shower wasn't as clean as I would prefer and it wouldn't drain. My biggest complaint is after we checked into our room, someone tried to switch us rooms with not much explanation. She didn't identify that she worked at the hotel even though I had asked her twice if she did so I thought it was a random guest trying to switch rooms with us. It ended up being someone who worked at the hotel but kind of frustrating having to switch rooms after you just got checked and and started to unpack. Oh well.

Our family stayed at this hotel on the way to a Florida vacation. It was very clean throughout, and the rooms had plenty of space. We had one room with a king sized bed and the other had 2 Queens. Both were very nice. The breakfast provided in the morning included a number of hot items, and many of the things you would expect at a hotel. There was plenty of seating, including some booths and they had an attendant on duty keeping things clean, and replenished. Although we did not have the opportunity to use it, the swimming pool in the back seemed very large and had a lot of seating, and umbrellas. Definitely will stay there again. The staff was asking friendly.

This is the second time we have stayed here. It's an older hotel kept in excellent shape. The rooms are a nice size and beds are comfy. Bathroom is small but clean. Shower has great pressure. There is a pool to cool off in after a long journey. It is kept clean and we were able to relax and have some cold drinks after out trip. It has the best reviews of all the other area hotels. Only complaint is the eggs were those powdered things and did not satisfy my egg craving.

The bed was extremely comfortable and the rooms are nicely decorated. The free breakfast in the morning was over the top! Best I have ever seen! So many choices, nice selection of hot foods....you had my husband at biscuits and gravy! :)

An older hotel, but the bonus is that the rooms all have internal doors. Room was very clean, and bed was very comfortable. A little outdoor noise late at night, but nothing to have an issue with. Breakfast was typical best western fare. Good for a one night stay.

This is a very nice but older hotel. Rooms have been updated, two floors and I could not locate a elevator. Plenty of good restaurants nearby. Near I-75 and easy abscess. Free WiFi and great breakfast. Fairly quite and good parking.

Hotel did not seem to be well kept. Rooms were clean but general hotel condition was poor. There is a bar next door and if your there on a week end the bar crowd will congregate in the parking lot. It is an uncomfortable situation.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 1 night for a concert. The room was clean and reasonably priced. We enjoyed our stay, the staff was friendly and the lobby is pretty. The only complaint I would have is they only had shampoo and soap, no conditioner or body lotion so if you're staying longer than a night bring you some toiletries and the shower head had a scum buildup on it with lightly heated water and a horribly high water pressure. Besides these few things, the room and hotel were clean. I would stay again.

After a long, hectic drive, the room was quietly perfect. The bed was clean and comfortable. That was all I needed. The breakfast was the usual. The hostess was busily tending to everyone making sure we all had what we needed. A friendly face is nice. I would absolutely stop again when going that way. As a side note, unless I missed something, the lounge attached to the hotel (which is not related to Best Western) is more to wet your whistle than hang and relax. But I was there late afternoon so I may have missed something.

We were thrilled to find the Best Western Riverside Inn to be an extremely clean and well maintained hotel with an helpful and friendly staff. The renovation of the hotel is top notch and they continue to clean and maintain it for lasting value. The breakfast was superb and the staff maintaining the breakfast area assured food was warm and plentiful and the area was immaculate. Our stay felt like we were at home.

My daughter and I had a Mercer University campus tour, and I wanted a hotel with a good reputation. A good night's sleep is important to me since we needed to wake up very early. It didn't disappoint. The beds were surprisingly new, comfortable with soft sheets. No bright lights and relatively soundproof walls. You can tell that this is an old building by the architectural style and dark halls, but don't be fooled it has southern charm with modern interior amenities. Standard microwave and fridge helps store basic snacks and drinks. Nice front clerk and friendly staff.

The entire hotel smells like smoke. Front desk people were very helpful but the clientele was just bad. Not enough parking. The attached bar had bumping music all night. When that died, billy bob and his crew straight up brought 20 people and a cooler of booze to the courtyard surrounded by 50 rooms and started partying. Hotel squashed it but it's a dump, draws wt crowd. Keep driving...

Stayed at the Best Western Riverside during Macon's Cherry Blossom Festival. Unfortunately the trees weren't in bloom yet. The hotel was fine, the woman who runs the breakfast room was so welcoming and efficient. Sorry I forgot her name??. The Back Porch Lounge next to the hotel was so smoky we couldn't stay it REEKED??

We stayed here for 4 nights while on business in the area. The breakfast was ok. The staff in the breakfast area was great, she kept everything filled and clean. Our room was clean but, bathroom very small. The shower head has a relaxing massage setting.. loved that. We requested not to have our room cleaned, so can't comment on that. The woman working the front desk was not pleasent at all. Having a friendly face great you is important to me. Not a bad hotel, but would not sray here again!

The hotel is very pleasant. The lobby is attractive, the staff friendly, the rooms clean and quite. Everything in the room worked. I have no complaints. The location is very convenient to getting on and off the interstate highway.

Stayed here three nights for business. The room was clean, bed comfortable, bathroom was small and the towels were thin and rough. The tissues in the bathroom were more like tissue paper. Convenient location off I 75. The free breakfast was more than expected with plenty of hot and cold items to choose from. Not sure I will return. There are several hotels all along Riverside, so will probably check out another option next time.

She was very helpful with everything we needed. She was very polite and made our stay very enjoyable and she deserves a raise. I had never been to Macon and the hotel was very clean and orderly and I believe that Frances just made our hotel stay more enjoyable than if she didn't work there.

This was the second time my husband and I have stayed at this property in the since the end of January. The property overall is very comfortable and nicely appointed - appearing to be recently upgraded. But there are two areas that I feel MUST be commented on... This hotel is POSITIVELY IMMACULATE! The bathroom is so clean you could do surgery in it! There are no mold or other discoloration issues at all - anywhere! If you look around the entire room itself - every nook and corner is clean and polished! This was true on both of our stays. The other thing should be noted is the breakfast. The breakfast itself is not unusual - although certainly tasty with both warm and cold offerings. But the young lady who attends to the breakfast area - Frances - makes it worthy of a 5-star rating! Frances is constantly attending to everything in the rather large breakfast area. She is checking the warming trays - rolls - coffee - fruit and cleanliness. Her attentiveness increases the quality and taste of the offerings. To make it even more enjoyable - she is one of the most personable individuals we have ever met! She is truly a delightful addition to an obviously exceptional staff.

Wife and I stopped here for the night on the way to Florida. It has recently been renovated, as all Best Westerns have, and I can say the owners take great pride in what they have. I was concerned about traffic noise from I-75, but there was none. Our room was spacious, very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Too cool to use the pool and I won't ever use the exercise room, so I can't speak for those two. However, the breakfast room was very nice and the food was very good. The breakfast lady did an excellent job of presenting everything from cold cereal to muffins, bagels, fresh fruit, yogurt, waffles, eggs, sausage, and gravy. She obviously loves her job and asked everyone how we were and if we needed anything else. When coming through Macon in the future will definitely stay here again!

- The rooms are overpriced for what you get. Everything BUT the lobby was outdated and just looked like one too many bodies have been in the rooms. - Guests on the floor about me were smoking marijuana that had the whole building smelling like it.

This hotel is always a wonderful place to stay. The lobby is gorgeous and the staff is excellent. Breakfast is amazing and everything is very clean. We feel relaxed and welcome to sit by the fireplace.

Very nice lobby and rooms. Comfortable king bed. There is a microwave, coffee maker, and mini-fridge. Very good full breakfast bar. There are a lot of places to eat, gas stations and more on the street along the hotel. I-75 is just across the street, so easy access.

This hotel is a nice place to stay! It may have a little wear if you are super picky, but then again this is not a $200 a night place. The beds are comfy and clean, and the room shows no sign of bugs. I am favoriting this location so when we come through here again we will stay here. NOTE: As other reviews mentioned the room does have a smell... reminds me of baby powder or talcum powder. So if you are sensitive to smells, you may want to consider this, and thus why I deducted a star (or circle whatever it is). To management: there are other ways to make a room seem inviting than some spray or whatever you use to scent the room, and they would be better too. Please use those instead, as when my aunt is with us we won't be able to stay here because of her allergies.

Everything about this place was above average. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was large and very clean. The bed was super comfortable after 12 hours of driving. The complimentary breakfast was way above average, hot food, fruit, sweets, cereal, juices, yogurt, all you would expect and more.

Stopped here for 1 night on our way south. Nice hotel close to the interstate. Easy friendly check in. I was able to use my rewards point for the room. The hotel was in a great location, very close to the highway. There were lots of dinner options in the immediate area. The rooms were super clean and everything was in good repair. The breakfast had a good selection of items. Good value overall! I would stay there again.

Quiet and clean newly renovated so felt and smelled good. We had our dog with us so we had to pay $10 xtra but ok with that. Breakfast wasn't great but since it was thorn in no complaints. Will try to stop on our way home.

stayed here overnight on the way to Florida. Very nice looking lobby, friendly staff. No elevator! We had to carry our luggage up a curved staircase to our room. Also, I was surprised to walk in the bar attached to the hotel to find it was not smokefree. the Mexican restaurant just 400 feet from the hotel delivers, and has good food. The whirlpool room I booked for an extra $50 was dated and not what I expected, I will not waste the money next time. I would stay here again...

This motel was very convenient to Interstate and was easy to see form the road. The place was nicely decorated was clean. There was a clean smell when I we entered the room. Breakfast we fresh and the area was clean. The breakfast attendant was very nice and helpful.

After a very long drive, with many traffic jams, we arrived here. Friendly, professional,courteous hostess checked us in promptly. Love the piano and grand staircase! Refused to allow me to have a handicap room because I have a dog which paid an additional amount. Could not take a bath because I did not have a roll in shower. They promised me one and when I showed up with my dog they would not allow me to have it

We were greeted by a friendly gentlemen upon arriving. The room was clean and priced good. We stopped for an overnight trip and we were extremely happy with our choice. Breakfast had a great selection and the the ladies working were very helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again when passing through!

I killed two cockroaches in the bathroom. What else do you need to know? Oh, I guess I can also tell you that walking into the lobby is like walking into a giant ashtray. The whole place reeks of cigarette smoke, even the corridors that are designated non-smoking. We were so disgusted that we didn't stick around for the free breakfast.

Gross sheets not clean, hotel overall is dark and in an unsafe corridor off the highway. Room smelled, hair in the bathroom, stained sheets, ripped up chair and just overall a gross hotel. I crashed here at 2am one night as all the other hotels were filled up and this was the worst sleep of my life in a very unfriendly hosted hotel that again is just gross. I didn't even shower because I wasn't taking my clothes off in that place.

My wife and I were quite pleased with our 2 night stay. The front desk folks were very friendly and personable. Our room and bath were immaculate. Beds were very comfortable. NIce flat screen TV. No noise. The room was a little on the small side but most adequate for us. The breakfast offered a good selection. VeryWe have stayed here before and will do so again when we are in Macon. Reasonable rates.

When booking the pet disclaimer said "Up to 2 dogs under 20 pounds for an additional $20" Our understanding was 2 dogs equaled 20 a night. After paying for the room online then driving 6 1/2 hours we find out it is 20 per dog. An additional 40 from what we originally thought. Also the room was rigged together with exposed screws and horrible attempts to cosmetically fix things. The hall smelled like fried food. Our dogs never had flees and we had flees on us and in the bed from the room. There were cigarette burns on the blankets and the room was dirty and had stains everywhere. PICK ANOTHER HOTEL if you stay in this area. We were so disappointed in our stay. We emailed corporate and almost a week later still no reply. Not the Best Western experience we would expect.

Made reservation for one night stay. We were told we would be on first floor. Well we arrived and were given room on 2nd floor in a room that heat would not come on. Unit blew only cold air. I told clerk on check out and she said "sorry about that". This is an aging property , no ice machine on 2nd floor and seemed unsafe. There were a lot of constrution workers staying there and were outside drinking beer and having a good time even though it was cold. They weren't speaking English and I had my wife and sister with me and I am pretty sure I probably didn't want to understand their conversation while we were unloading. Would not recommend this property for families and be assured I won't return. There are several nice hotels close by that are newer and appear in safer environment.

Very good stay would definitely go back had handicapped room thought we would have a walk in shower but it wasn't, the tub was low enough so with the grips and the low tub my husband could use the shower

Comfortable room, clean and quiet. Nice mid trip stop from Florida returning home to Tennessee. Stayed here several years ago; however, I didn't remember until we were approaching the area. Hidden nicely off the interstate.

I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and pleasant and comfortable. The breakfast the nest morning was great. The fronts desk associate was very helpful when I checked in and checked out. I would use this Best Western again and I would recommend this Best Western in the past and I have always been satisfied and this stay was no different.

Excellent breakfast, The rooms were very clean, The WiFi was slow and I was repeatedly kicked off. There is no elevator, so there is no wheel chair access for smoking rooms (smoking rooms are only on the second floor). Location was close to convention with easy access. Construction on I-75 slowed interstate travel, but this is only temporary. Over all it was a good value. I will be back in the spring.

This hotel is conveniently located and a very nice place to stay. The staff is great. The hotel is very clean and neat. I have been staying at this hotel for many years and I keep coming back because of the value for the money.. The full hot breakfast is a great value in its self

Good price for a room in Macon,GA Excellent breakfast. Fruit , waffels, biscut and gravey, sausage, cereal, pastries, coffee, juice, toast, bagels, grits and oatmeal, all kinds of things to drink. Located in the middle of a lot of good restaurants and not far are a couple of malls, not far from downtown Macon. Close to all kinds of things to do, oh and they have the new door locks since we have been there you don't have to stick the card in a slot, sometimes you don't even have to take it out of the sleeve to unlock the inner or outer doors. all in all it was a good experience.

Good price, clean room, very comfortable. I was only staying one night, so Best Western - Macon was a perfect fit. Plenty of restaurants nearby and easy access to I-75. The staff at check-in and check out were very friendly. I highly recommend this Best Western.

Stayed here for 3 nights to visit relatives in this town. Due to Hurricane Irma, we extended our stay by an extra night which was done easily when checking in. However during our stay there was no Tv or wifi but fortunately we had lights! Parts of the motel smelt like cigarette smoke but thankfully there was no smoke smell in the room. Breakfast was good with decent choices. Would stay here again!

Hotel going through some remodeling, needs to lose the smoking rooms. Price a little high for the caliber of hotel. Security good, breakfast better than most. Close to I75 so the hotel is a little noisy.

hallways and lobby had wet carpet throughout. the odor was throughout the hotel. many rooms were open with fans running. seems like this hotel is under a 5 year upgrade. it was the same way the last time I stayed 8 months ago. i will NOT be back

Hotel was decent but it smelled like cigarettes. It almost looked like a pay by the hour. Bed actually slept decent. Air conditioner was loud. The bottle of Pantene looked like it had been refilled. Room was clean.

Stayed at the Best Western Riverside Inn for an overnight stop on our way to Florida. Clean room, comfortable beds, great price. Breakfast was kind of a bust as most items were out and not being promptly replenished. We would stay here again though!

We enjoyed our stay at the BW in Macon, GA. We spent the night and had breakfast. My granddaughter enjoyed the pool. I would recommend this hotel. Good stay at a good price on our way to Fl to see family.

A very pleasant surprise with the quality of the hotel, the cleanliness of the rooms, the comfort of their beds and the pressure and quality of their shower! A very nice large LG large screen TV. Microwave and refrigerator, desk and plenty of electrical outlets. A huge garden and pool area that was clean and fun to be in. Security doors were locked and secured everywhere. A great stay!

The furnishings were outdated but in good condition. Staff was helpful for the most part. I decided to add on another night and was initially charged full price. I had to ask for a AAA discount. When I was checking in the clerk offered a room to the person in front of me for half of what I paid. Make sure you get the rate that you were quoted.

We went to Macon GA to escape Hurricane Irma and ended up being there for 8 days. All employees we encountered were extra nice an polite. Unfortunately Irma came on through Macon and the internet and tv were knocked off. Lots of local people were without power ro we were lucky that we did. The hotel even had food in the lobby one day for the guests. Overall I think we chose the right place to flee to.

We made reservations at Best Western Riverside Macon Ga for today. Almost all reviews I read was decent. The lady at the desk agreed to let me see a room. Oh my the smell of smoke was so strong. I would not recommend this hotel at any one sensitive to smoke or the smell if pets. They were ok at the desk...not real happy about being ask to show me a room before I would pay. The hotel just seemed unattended. Sorry

After a great but tiring trip to Savannah, and facing a 9 hour drive home, we decided to break up our return by spending the night in Macon, GA. After an online search we found the BW on Riverside that was as close to I-75/16 as you can get with a low rate. The property looked great; the lobby was dazzling with a sweeping staircase, marble floors, and a grand piano (In a BW - really!/?). The inner courtyard and pool area was appealing and relaxing. Our room was recently remodeled with new furnishings, carpets, drapes, bathroom, and a microwave and refrigerator. The FREE breakfast was GREAT and so was the attendant. No restaurant on site but they are very close to gas stations and many dining options. There is a lounge/karaoke bar next to the lobby but we were to tired to check it out. Enjoy!

Our go-to, restful stay. Always clean, quiet and comfortable. Near to all activities and events. Although no great discounts for repeat customers... We still return. It's about comfort, location and peace of mind. Enjoy that local musicians perform at the attached bar.

After driving through TS Irma, we arrived at Best Western for a one night stay that I booked through Orbitz. Upon arrival, I was told that they were sold out and that I didn't have a reservation. After a brief talk with the front desk lady-showing my confirmation and proof I had paid-we were given a room. Please understand that there were extremely difficult circumstances during this time as there was a lack of internet and systems for them. I don't believe this was any fault of theirs directly. They did go buy some puzzles to put in the lobby to attempt to entertain guests. Was a nice thought. The front desk lady was taking it like a champ. She was getting talked badly too and lacked the proper help given the circumstances surrounding the evening. Our room was recently renovated. New carpet and fresh paint. The bed was comfortable. The housekeeping staff was friendly and helpful when I encountered them in the hall. The only real negative thing I can take from this hotel is I couldn't find an elevator. We had a second floor room. Since we were evacuated for a hurricane, we had a TON of things that we didn't want to leave in the car. Climbing stairs was not ideal. There was also no assistance up/down the stairs.

This hotel is our "go to"" hotel whenever we are in Macon. The staff is so friendly, the hotel is beautifully furnished, the breakfast has several choices. The beds are comfortable. We have never been disappointed.

The Macon Best Western is an attractive facility with a welcoming lobby and friendly reception employees. The rooms are clean and present very well to the guest. When it is time to relax the pool area is found outdoors and surrounded by the building structures completely isolating it from the outside world. The Continental breakfast was well presented providing the guest with options from traditional eggs and sausage/bacon to biscuits and gravy to cereal and fresh fruit. Oh did I mention that the coffee was very good? It was. I recommend the Macon Ga. Best Western as either a stopover or a destination for a needed get away.

We always have a great stay at any Best Western. Never been to the Macon GA one before. But they didn't let us down. We were there for the Mercer/Jacksonville Football game and this Best Western was convenient to everything. The room was great and the breakfast was awesome. Definitely will stay there when in Macon again.

We had a great time for an overnight trip to Macon, Georgia. The staff was very, very nice and helpful. The front desk accommodated our Best Western coupons which had just expired, she gave us the discounts and we appreciated her hospitality. The breakfast area was incredible. There were 3 different 'stations' located far apart from each other making getting your breakfast items very easy and crowd free. We usually have to wait in one long line in order to get to the waffle maker but the stations were used by everyone at different times which made it a great experience. The lady cleaning and restocking was the nicest person, I'm sorry I didn't get her name but she needs to be commended for her pleasant personality and unbelievable kindness.

Great Value for the rate! Grounds & Lobby were immaculate, room was newly remodeled with fridge & microwave. Appeared to be an older property that had not been maintained in the past and is now being rebranded & upgraded to a Best Western. Located near restaurants and fuel stops and very convenient to I-75 & I-16 but with no road noise to disturb your sleep. Free breakfast too!

Stayed for one night after flying into Atlanta but wanting to not stay in Atlanta. Macon has lots to recommend especially Ocmulgee historic site. The hotel itself has very welcoming staff, slightly dated but clean and adequate rooms and offers a good breakfast. Location is by a highway with limited amenities nearby although there are restaurants within walking distance.

Hubby and I decided to get some sleep after driving all night and we chose the BW. The rooms are clean and we enjoyed the free breakfast provided by the hotel. I would stay here again. It's location is right off the interstate but very quiet.

Room was clean. Bed very comfortable. No noise at night. Bathroom new and modern. Great shower. Delicious breakfast. Great stay would give it 5 stars except for faint smell of cigarette smoke. Didn't bother me but might bother some people. One of the better Best westerns I've been in.

Every staff person that I encountered was friendly and wanting to help. My room was clean and spacious. It did have an unusual smell that I think might have been from a cleaning product. After being in the room for a few minutes, I didn't notice it. The breakfast selections were great. I loved it that the biscuits were browned in an oven instead of just microwaved.

Pet friendly rooms. Rooms tastefully done and fit the bill for me. Staff is helpful and friendly aqnd hotel is located right off of highway. Bathrooms are clean and bug free. Internet works well and appliances always work.

Lumpy pillows, temp control, woeful, mold on shower head and wall, weird toilet flush, danish hard & eggs & sausage seemed hidden. Overall staff attitude mediocre- could have been a much better experience!

The room was nice and clean with a comfortable bed. Draw back was that the Toilet took 20 min. To drain. When I ask for help I was told that the engineer would not be in until after 8 am. And I could use the toilet in the lobby, she told me this with a chuckle. All in all, we would stay agin after checking out the room and bath.

This hotel has a beautiful lobby, The front desk staff were a pleasure. The hotel is a bit older, but otherwise not a bad place to stay. Avoid the rooms near exterior doors if you plan on getting to bed early, or sleeping in.

I would like to say that the lady and boy work so good in the breakfastroom they moved so fast the eggs do not taste like rubber when she works the food be really hot I am giving them a 5 star for what they have done they clean as they go. Thank you for your help

Easy location to get on and off expressway. A welcome place for tired travelers. The staff was friendly and we enjoyed a decent breakfast. I noticed that there were a number of road crews that were working on projects in the area staying there. I always think that is a good sign. When you live in hotels, you don't need fancy, just clean, comfortable and friendly.

Stayed here on our way home from Florida. Very nice, recently renovated guestrooms. This hotel has a private outdoor landscaped courtyard with a large swimming pool. The rooms surround the courtyard. Very comfortable bed & good service.

Great hotel, staff was very friendly and helpful. Our rooms ( we had 2) were both updated and clean. The pool area was nice and well maintained. The breakfast was good, typical hotel breakfast. If we need a place to stay in Macon again we will definitely stay here.

Clean! No bugs, good beds and shower. Staff very nice! They have several exit doors that are close to your room so you don't have to walk far. Outside is clean, inside is clean. Would definitely recommend!

The hotel was an older, but brought back nostalgia of when I traveled with my parents on vacation. The hotel had character. The hotel surrounded an amazing large pool - approximately 15-20 yards and a courtyard. That is wonderful for swimmers that like to swim laps. The Breakfast was hot and delicious. The Breakfast room was large, well lit and clean. It consisted of three rooms. The hotel room was clean and nicely decorated. The lobby had a winding stair case to the second floor with a baby grand piano in the lobby. The staff allowed guests to play the piano. The hotel staff member on duty (A Cootey) was professional, courteous and very friendly. I would stay at this hotel location again and recommend it.

Booked this on trip advisor. The staff was super friendly. The room appeared clean, but had a must smell. It was also very humid when we went in to the point that the pillows felt damp. There were evidently a lot of dogs on the hall that enjoyed barking. Breakfast was above average.

The room was nice but shower was broken and wide hair got messed up when the water sprayed into the ceiling. Internet was great and was fast enough. Loved the pool and fitness room. Overall the stay was good because we got another room and was treated with respect

The motel had age to it, but in a good way, it was clean and the Breakfast was hot and good. Right down the road there is an S&S cafeteria which is the good kind of food . The motel was easy to get to from I-75.

Just dropped in for a night. The facility is large. With smoking and non smoking rooms. The counter guy took quick care of us when our room was clearly a smoking room to a nonsmoking room. There is an in ground pool, fitness center, and breakfast.

booked it due to the overall very good reviews. Well I was not so happy about that. Location is alongside a big street - according to the pictures I had the impression it would more distant and quiet. Quite a few trucks are parking there overnight and it can get noisy in the morning when they depart. And my ground floor room was very humid and very moldy smelling. Even with the loud air condition could not get rid of those issues. Maybe because when taking a shower some water runs through into the other room and pools in front and under the closet... Staff was nice and when I told them at check-out about that, the lady apologized and gave me a small deduction on the room rate. I appreciate that and also have to admit my fault was that I should have asked for a change of rooms but did not. And just a hint - the bar next door which was recommended to me for snacks by hotel staff - I went in and out within seconds. Funny people with big dogs and a lot of smoke there.

We checked in after midnight with no problems. The room was updated and they are still making new upgrades. This is my second time staying here and it was great. The young lady named Bonita that worked in the breakfast room did an excellent job. Not once did she sit down, she was constantly replenishing the food, wiping the tables and countertops. She's had a beautiful smile as well. For the breakfast to be free it was delicious because at most hotels you have to pay for breakfast. Her eggs were the best part of my breakfast. She needs to remain on the breakfast room. I will be returning to this hotel. This hotel is a great place to stay!!!

Nice room complete with refrigerator, microwave and hairdryer. Loved the fact that it had a full breakfast rather than just a continental one. Very good staff: I even emailed BW customer service re Ann; she was so very helpful. Good location right off I75, close to S&S Cafeteria, Rose Hill, The ABB BIg House Museum, etc. I would definitely stay there again.

This was my 2nd stay within last 6 months @ this Best Western - Riverside in Macon, GA. The staff are always very friendly, it's very clean & welcoming. I would recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to Macon, GA. The pool area is very nice & entire property is well maintained.

the lady that was working at the front desk and also the breakfast was very friendly and helpful. she had brought us our coffee and other drinks. i would come back to that hotel only if she is working. those indians on the first floor are very rude. my family didnt like the boss at that hotel he was very rude to that girl in the breakfast room. we didnt know what they were talking about but that girl is friendlier then the rest of the people including the boss they are not helpful at all. I hope that the corporate office would read this and give that girl a raise she does alot..

We stayed one night on the way to Atlanta. Room was OK. Breakfast was awful. Couldn't eat eggs, bacon, coffee, etc. Couldn't get the shower to work. Staff couldn't be bothered. Lots of other places to stay in the area.

We stopped in Macon on our way to Gainesville, GA for a rowing regatta and stayed at this hotel for the night. We needed a pet friendly hotel and wanted something not too far from downtown. This hotel is old, dated but the rooms were clean and very inexpensive. I wouldn't want to stay for more then a night.

Our stay was for April 28th and 29th 2017, and I must say the place looks just like its online pictures, and they often let guests play the piano if they asked to. The check in was smooth through 3rd party, rooms were ready. Great room placement on the 1st floor building E, maneuvering through the hallways was a little challenging, i got lost going to the lobby. Breakfast was fine and got what i expected, housekeeping did not replace our towels like i asked. A/c ran great and the refrigerator kept everything cold. There's a lounge adjacent, it servers no food, but lots of fast food near by, there's also an Applebees near by. Our stay was pleasant,if i'm in the area again I hope that a return stay would be just as great. Wifi was a little weak from my room.

Bad information on the reservation so we were asked to pay $20 more on our tired arrival. The welcome was essentially routine and unfriendly. The toilet did not work in the morning which prompted us to leave hastily. In the rush I left my jacket. I called the next day about it and got "would you call later." I did and was told that lost and found would look and I would get a call back. I never did even after a a follow up. Given the reputation of this property I was surprised at the inattention at every level of our visit. This experience has certainly made a wary of staying at a Best Western in the future.

Passing through on our way from Atlanta to Savannah. Very easy to find, just off intetstate 75 south. Great value and lovely staff. The bar next door was great fun. Plenty of parking just outside. The stop over was a breeze.

Pros: 1. Reasonably priced. 2. Nice staff. 3. Quite clean. 4. A fridge and a decently sized TV in the room. 5. (I should have started with this) Ann Cootey, the lady hosting the breakfast, who also seemed to keep herself busy here around the clock; she would make the otherwise boring breakfast an enjoyable experience. 6. Swimming pool. Cons. 1. The airconditioners are old and extremely noisy. 2. I stayed for 2 weeks, it was around 30°C most of the time, and the pool finally opened for the last 3 days. 3. The hotel is generally worn off a bit. 4. It is in the middle of nowhere just on the side of I-75. The nearest place with a good selection of places to grab something to eat seems to be ~3 miles north along the Riverside str. Otherwise, there are dispersed restaurants on the way there too. Downtown Macon is similarly far and walking there is hardly an option. 5. The breakfast in terms of selection. It is exactly the same and exaclty as boring as in any other US hotel of this class I've been to. The hosting improved the situation though.

The staff was great as well as the breakfast. The variety of choices for breakfast were great, and the food was fresh. When we needed help, the staff was great. The room was very nice, but there was a smoky smell in the hallway. It is an easy access from I-75. I would stay here again.

After a long day, on the road, we considered ourselves lucky to have found this hotel for our overnight stay. The hotel lobby was inviting. The room was clean, with a much desired fridge and microwave, and the breakfast was just what we needed, before the long drive ahead. And, a big shoutout to Ann Coutey, who seemed to work 24 hours. She deserves a big pat on the back, for the help she gave us...

Our room was very clear and there was plenty of food for breakfast. The only problem we experience was that the wifi was running very slow but it could have been that the hotel was full and everyone was using the service at the same time.

Outside appearance of hotel is deceiving. Inside lobby looks nice but it smells like one huge cigarette. You can NOT breathe. It's horrible. Bed lines, especially the blankets look as if they are left over from the 1950's. Holes and all. So much potential. This hotel could really be nice if given a much needed facelift. Room rates are way to high for what you get.

We were seriously impressed with how much effort this place puts into their hotel. We stayed here just overnight on a road trip and were swayed by other good reviews. Everything was immaculately clean, upscale. Front desk and cleaning staff was professional and happy to be of service. The pillows were to die for and I took pics of them so I can find them for my home. Top notch hotel!! I believe the morning front desk clerk's name was Minnie and she was a consummate professional. She remembered me from my phone call when I booked the room. The free breakfast was very nicely done and the area was clean clean clean! I will be staying here again.

this BW is so convenient if you are traveling Interstate 75. plus there's a great restaurant called "Cheddars" just a minute or so down the road. front staff is always so accommodating and gracious. good value. only issue I had is the lobby, decorated so nicely with a grand piano, smelled strongly of cigarette smoke.

Stayed a night with our pet. Place was very clean, comfortable beds and great bath. Tremendous stay for the value. Lady at the desk that evening was very kind and helpful for nearby restaurants also. Nice interior courtyard for walking the dog at 42 degrees.

Stayed overnight. Room was ok but the heater caused the room to either be to hot or to cold. Comfy bed, good pillows, TV and slow WiFi. Breakfast, no sugar free cereal like Cheerios. 3 choices all sugary. Packaged danish. No alternative milk that we saw like soy or almond. Plenty of hot choices likes eggs, sausage, bacon. Biscuits and gravy with horrid biscuits. Yogurt was available as was canned fruit.

The woman in the breakfast room, Ann Cootey, was very helpful and kind. She directed guests to breakfast items and was friendly to everyone. Coffee was good and food selection was broad. Roomy area with plenty of seating.

Ann Cootey went above and beyond to make our trip outstanding. She kept the breakfast area clean and stocked with 374 kids staying for 1 night! We appreciate her hospitality and her willingness to make our stay great!

This is a good clean hotel we will be staying again next year, we stayed there for three nights on Business at the made in the south Christmas show, The internet could be faster but it worked. Keep up the good work

We stayed just 1 night at this BW (Riverside Inn, GA.) location. It was the halfway point on our way home from a 4-night getaway which also was a BW hotel. We have stayed in many Best Western hotels in several cities and have always been impressed by the location choices, prices and especially the professional and extremely friendly/helpful staff. I would highly recommend Best Western to anyone. Our only dissatisfaction with this particular BW was the front desk person who seemed a bit cold and put-out when asked about local dining/shopping choices.

I was in town to have one of the kids do an overnight trip at Mercer. The hotels on and close to campus were quite a bit more than I wanted to spend just to rest my head for the evening. I found this hotel online and it had decent reviews and a good price. Upon first pulling up, the first thing I noticed was some sort of club attached to the building to the right, and quite a few Georgia Power (or some sort of utility company's) trucks taking up the parking lot to the left. The lobby was nice and welcoming, but it had a pretty dated look and decor. Check-In was a snap and the clerk advised me "drive around back" to get to the entry door nearest my room. "Around back" was just that - on the very back of the building in the area you usually don't want to park, but the parking area was well lit. The hallway smelled clean (yes, that matters)... and the room did as well upon entry. This was a standard budget hotel, but the room was definitely nicer than I expected. I couldn't really find anything to complain about. There was free WIFI and a free breakfast in the morning. Bacon, sausage, eggs, some sort of gravy if you are into gravy. Plus the usual continental type pastries and dry cereals. Overall, it was a cheap stay selected an hour before that exceeded my expectations. I would stay here again.

Benita at reservations desk was so very helpful during our stay while awaiting the hurricane damage to abate. Room was clean and large; the lady who maintained the breakfast area was always cheerful and kept the food coming.

We stay at Best Western anywhere more than an other brand because with a few exceptions we experience a clean environment at competitive rates and sometimes better rates. Once more, our room was clean and the breakfast was adequate, albeit with standard offerings. We don't need a gourmet breakfast to get us on our way. Without hesitation we would stay here again.

We chose this hotel because it was close to I75 and accepted dogs. A few turns off of the interstate. The room was nice and fairly big, very clean ,great for dogs. Breakfast was pretty good , staff was friendly. would stay again

Every time I go to Macon I stay at this hotel because of the friendliness of the staff and the overall appearance of the hotel. Check-in is always easy and fast with the great staff. The breakfast is great and convenient with all the items I choose for breakfast.

Nice people & rooms. Breakfast was not good. I came for breakfast 8am and there were no biscuits, bagels, sausage or bacon. There was a large pan with gravy that was not touched as there was only bread on the other side of the room to put it on.

Stayed the night before heading to Jacksonville. Hotel was easy to get to, well lit parking lot. We had a non smoking room, but could smell smoke in the hallway. Rooms clean and bed comfortable at a reasonable price. A variety of choices for breakfast. Overall decent stay for the price!

Needed to get away from SC due to Hurricane and went to Macon Ga. and stayed at Best Western. The rate was reasonable and front desk staff were great. They were swamped but did a good job. They did run out of some food items a couple mornings due to the extra guests at the last minute. The breakfast were okay but not up to the standard we have had at other chains.

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times before, and it has never disappointed me. The staff is always friendly and courteous, and the beds are so comfortable. It is a great stopping point on the way up to Atlanta. The Best Western Riverside in Macon lives up to Southern hospitality.

Stopped on our way to Florida. It was a great stop. The bed are comfortable. The pool was closed but the grounds are very attractive. They have restaurants near by. We like the Metropolis. Will return.

I have never left a review for a hotel before, but this one has earned a review from me. I was a little concerned as I drove up to the hotel because the area seemed very rundown and not particularly safe. The lobby smelled strongly of smoke, but I hoped the room would be ok. As I came in with our luggage I discovered that were was no elevator (a nice thing to know in advance!!!), so my four young children and I had to haul it up a flight of stairs to our room on the second floor. My husband is deployed oversees and we were weary evacuees from Hurricane Matthew - this was the last thing we needed! As I opened the door to our room, the housekeeping staff in the hallway snapped angrily at me in a language I couldn't understand. I realized the room was not clean! So back down the stairs we all went to get a new room. Our non-smoking room reeked of smoke! At that point I would have left to find another hotel, but I couldn't afford to pay for two rooms and almost everything else was booked. We woke up the next morning with sore throats from the smoke and got out of there as quickly as we could (of course I had to wait at least 5 minutes at the front desk before anyone showed up so I could check out!). DO NOT STAY HERE! This hotel is not worth taking a chance on just to save a few bucks.

I have stayed at better Best Western's, but this was close to the interstate and a nice clean room. Breakfast was okay, but I was basically only really looking for a coffee and a yogurt anyway. Room was a fair size c/w a fridge and microwave. Bed was comfortable. There was a weight/exercise room and outdoor pool, but we did not use them.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and comfy. I enjoyed my stay and would stay there again! The breakfast was great and included eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage patties and links, yogurt, bread for toast and many pastries. The beds were comfy and TV was flat screen and had HBO!

We stayed for 6 nights because of the hurricane Matthew. Vicki cheerfully fed and cared for a lot of people. Did a great job, became a good friend. Also, Bettina at the front desk worked hard to find another hotel for us for the one night they were already sold out.

Arrived 7pm after a long drive from St Augustine. Received a luke warm reception at check in. Room was large/spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable but only 2 bars of soap and 1 shampoo were provided. Bit mean! A convenient bar was located next door to the property and we enjoyed a couple of interesting hours discussing the current US political scene with a few of the guests. Nice big pool where I had an enjoyable swim the next morning before we left. Breakfast was very good as was the service we received.

We were running from Hurricane Matthew and booked this hotel primarily from the recent reviews that indicated it was recently renovated. Our room was spacious and clean and you could tell the bathroom had been upgraded. It had a very large flat screen TV with tons of cable stations - also had free WiFi that was easy to connect to. Although this is a pet friendly hotel with many dogs running about, we got a good nights sleep. Complimentary breakfast was awesome - eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fruits, cereal, waffles, juices, and coffee. It was well worth the price - we really enjoyed out one night stay.

Enjoyed our stay! Remodeled and very clean! Friendly staff, comfortable beds, great free breakfast with a huge spread! Highly recommend this place!! The owner happened to be there when we stopped in at 11 p.m. to check in. He and his staff were super nice, he honored our coupons and got a great deal. We are so impressed from check in to check out.

I would have expected to pay much less for these accomodations. Maybe because we brought our dog we were put in the musty section, I don't know. Air conditioner was loud and walls were thin ( I heard everything the neighbors were doing). When I dryed my face with the towel, it had that old, commercially washed to many times smell. The people were nice and the breakfast was good.

The Riverside Inn became a home away from home in a time of need. My Father was in the hospital. The hotel was clean. It is convenient to the hospital and the family home. They treated us well with rates they provide for those who have family and friends in the Medical Center. The staff was friendly. The rooms were clean. And the breakfast was just a great bonus!

The Riverside Inn is clean, well maintained & convenient to interstates 75 & 16. I would not rate it as high as the Best Western on Chambers Driver near I-475, Macon. Breakfast at Riverside was not appealing. The pancake sized/shaped eggs were rubbery and had almost no taste. I decided to eat breakfast elsewhere.

I always love staying here. The staff is great, friendly and very helpful. The full breakfast is very enjoyable and the lady who works in the dining area is very nice and friendly, it's always great to be greeted with a big smile each time I go there to eat breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling on I-75.

Halls stink and humid, no elevators. We ran out of milk for my grand daughter at bed time, I went to the front desk, offered to buy a glass of milk from from the breakfast room, but I was told "no" it was for breakfast only, I would need to go to the gas station and get some for her. How is that for customer service? I realize it was my own fault for for running out of milk but I can't see the harm in giving a child a little milk so they could sleep. First and last time at a best western , I will go back to quality inn where we were treated with respect and not like a bother.

This is an older hotel that was renovated. The owners obviously take pride in it. The room smelled musty but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. We will definitely stay here again if we pass by.

I cannot say enough good things about this motel, especially the desk clerk Vicki, she went out of her way to see that all our needs were met. It is very close to the interstate, and in a very nice area. Very clean rooms, great breakfast. Thanks Vicki for making our stay a very pleasant one.

Stayed one night at BW Riverside 8/6/16. Lovely lobby, friendly helpful Vicky greeted us and directed us to our room, gave us the skinny on breakfast. This is an older hotel, but very nicely updated. GREAT beds and showers! Enjoyed their full size pool, and a great breakfast next morning. What a DEAL!!

Hotel is older and needs updated. No elevators and the hallways are HOT!!! There is a bar there and people were yelling in the hallway at 2am. Room has smoking and HDTV. Internet speed is okay. Think I'll try something else next time. They do have smoking rooms.

Honestly I went with best western over choice hotels because I wanted a nice night. Gosh, I'm sorry I did. The hotel smelled really really bad. Carpet was dirty. Although I didn't see any I was afraid of bugs. The pool and breakfast was good but the smell was unbearable.

This hotel was worth the extra exit past all the food chains. Our room was very quiet. The beds were some of the best we've seen and we stay in a lot of hotels due to our travels. The room was very clean. Our check in was quick and easy with a very nice older gentleman taking care of us. Not sure about the breakfast as we didn't make it down in time but I would definitely stay here again.

We stopped in on the way to Florida with another family that was traveling with us was able to get rooms that connect. Great price, slept good, great water pressure in the shower. Breakfast was okay, didn't really get to check out much of anything else as this was mainly just a place for is to sleep. They do offer a AAA discount.

Stayed a night here on the way to Disney with family friends. Just a room to sleep in. Can't say much other than the free breakfast was good and the room seemed clean. Check in and out were a breeze. Enjoy!

One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at, the attitude of the staff was really poor, food quality was disgusting and the carpets were sticky and the bathrooms were not clean unbelievable never stay here and I will never return. The management should be fired there is no confidence at all here.

I was only passing through for one night, needing two rooms not pre-booked. Both ground floor rooms were clean and pleasant with good amenaties including a fridge and strong wi-fi. The beds were comfortable with good quality linen and pillows. The breakfast was good quality and varied and perfect for the short stay with an attached bar and nearny restaurants.

We stayed here as we passed through Georgia on the way to Orlando. Nice, clean room. Pool was nice. Very good breakfast and wi-fi was good. Will stay again on next trip through. Highly recommended. Friendly service. Clean lobby. Daughter says good spot for Pokemon Go if you or family play??

Vicki was our attendant at check-in, at breakfast, and at check-out. She went out front and checked us out as we finished our coffee. Vicki went above and beyond. The facility is very clean and well kept. We sat by the outside pool in the courtyard at dusk. The drainage for the tub and toilet really is the only area which needs improvement. We would return.

On the road driving to Port of Miami for a cruise. Drove 14 hours to get here so we were tired. No problems getting a room and breakfast was good as we got back on he road to the next BW at the Miami airport South.

Can't say enough nice things about our stay here. Baby grand piano in the lobby. Clean quiet comfortable room. Wonderful staff. Vicky was amazing. From dealing with her for check-in to dinner suggestions and tasty sausage gravy and biscuits for breakfast. Will definitely use when we are in the area.

We booked this double queen handicapped room on the Best Western reservation line from the positive reviews. The room was very clean spacious and quiet and beds comfortable. Roll in handicapped Shower was wheelchair accessible and also included a handicapped shower seat. Very large clean and bright breakfast area with tables and chairs plus Booth seating area. Full hot breakfast with all choices. We would definitely stay here again.

Vicky prepares the breakfasts and her "killer" eggs are well known. They are worth the stay at the hotel. Hotel staff are very friendly. Hotel is super-clean and location was close to many area restaurants.

We were stranded in Macon with car problems for 3 days while repairs were made. My wife, me and a small dog. Our room was very clean and it was obvious that the ownership and staff took a lot of pride in their business and facility. I would return if ever again in Macon and would recommend to others traveling with and without pets.

The hotel says no smoking but the halls have an old stale smoke smell. The room was very warm even though the AC was set on 75. The hallways were like walking through the gates of hell it was so hot. You could feel a drastic difference in temperature going from the first floor to the second. The room itself was clean and everything but probably wouldn't stay here again.

We were in town for a medical procedure and picked this hotel to stay in. It was quiet and clean. The lobby was nicely decorated with a grand piano. The breakfast was nice and each staff member I came in contact with was nice and friendly.

Breakfast was great.. not only the food but Ms Vicki took care of any request. The pool was a nice retreat from a long day (clean and laid back)! Rooms were nice, clean and comfy. To top off the night, there is great pub called the BackPorch that has live entertainment.

I enjoyed my stay. They were very nice and clean. They provided great breakfast with a server who is extremely nice to you. They all are very happy to help you with anything. No smoke smell. Their rooms are very nice and comfortable.

We stayed at this location overnight on our way home from Florida. What I didn't realize was that I left my toiletry bag in the room. I called the hotel right away and spoke with the manager, Ricky, who said he would call me right back and let me know what they could do. He called me back a few minutes later and stated he would mail it to me and had all my information, this was on Sunday (6/12). On 6/15 I received it in the mail all intact and nothing missing. I was very grateful to get it back and Ricky's quick response was exceptional. The rest of the staff were also nice and helpful. The room was clean, breakfast was good and outdoor pool was very nice.

My girlfriends and I COULDN'T have been happier with our stay at this particular Best Western Inn. This 1980's era Inn is situated on a busy service road next to Major Intrastate Highway I-75 and is only a convenient 5-7 minute drive down from unique Macon Attractions like The LUSH Rose Hill/ Riverside Historic Cemetery, The Historic Hay Antebellum Mansion, The Cannonball House, The Historic St. Joseph Catholic Cathedral, and MANY other breathtaking sights to savor in Historic Macon, Georgia. Even the Main Check-Inn Hall at this Inn is in keeping with the spirit of the old Antebellum South. Our attendant at the front desk was both knowledgable and friendly. We were even MOST pleasantly surprised to learn that she was actually the BREAKFAST bar attendant and not really a check-in clerk. "Breakfast BAR?" we inquisitively answered. "Yes, we have a FULL-HOT breakfast bar in the morning complete with Sausage Patties, Fresh Eggs, Sausage Gravy, Biscuits, Make-your-own Belgin Waffles, Fresh Fruits, along with your usual 'Continental' breakfast offerings. BOY and was it SPECTACULAR the following morning. Even the large room it was served in felt like a sit-down restaurant! Our room's air conditioner was on the fritz so we called to the front desk who IMMEDIATELY sent the manager over to check it out. He MOST graciously switched us conveniently over to the room directly across the hall. Not a problem what-so-ever for us. It was so quick and easy we took no notice of it what-so-ever. The pool is safely located within the interior courtyard of the Inn where your children, family & friends can enjoy themselves in safety and comfort near a lovely-manicured main garden and smoking gazebo. We felt extremely comfortable letting my best friend's teenaged daughter swim at her ease around a most family-oriented setting where we were just a short walk away if she needed us. Our SPOTLESSLY-clean room was nicely large and even had a separate closet door next to the bathroom where clothes could be hung neatly and out of the way. I'd never seen that at a moderately-priced hotel before. Very nice touch. The bed was MOST comfortable and generously equipped with 2 sheets, an over blanket, THEN the top covering layer. Not too bad. I've seen much less coverings on comparable hotel rooms. We were VERY surprised to find not only a mid-sized fridge in our room but ALSO a mini-microwave to top! An unexpected absolute delight. There was EVEN a lazy-boy armchair inside for added comfort and a fabulous feeling of ease and relaxation. If you would like to cap-off your long drive with a cold beer or interesting mixed drink, there is a most welcoming pool lounge and full bar situated right off the main check-in building. Tables are a STEAL at only $1 every 10 minutes or $5 an hour. On Friday & Saturday nights there is even LIVE musical acts entertaining guests. We thoroughly enjoyed the band playing the evening we stayed over at Riverside Inn of Macon, Georgia. I HIGHLY recommend guests save themselves $75-100 dollars and consider booking your stay at THIS particular Best Western Inn. It is ABUNDANTLY clear that the new owner has put ALOT of money and love into it; is readily AVAILABLE to see to your concerns, and truly DEDICATES his time in seeing to it that visitors are his TOP-priority every minute of his day. (I even saw him weeding the garden, and DUSTING, the piano in the main hall during my stay!)

Everything about this hotel is excellent, from our check in with Miss Vicki to the room and the included breakfast was first class. We would highly recommend this as a place to stay. Kinda wished we were here for more than one night. They also have a lounge, which we did not go to, however the other guests at breakfast raved about it.

We stayed here for one night on a road trip to Florida. Average for what we paid, pretty much what you would expect. Nothing fantastic, nothing awful, conveniently located off the highway. Staff was very friendly. Room was fine, if a little noisy.

I'm not usually a fan of Best Western Hotels, but my understanding is they're revamping and rebranding themselves. They're updating their properties, renovating rooms and cranking up the service. And it shows. We had a nice comfortable stay. The only blemish? They were promoting a "hot breakfast," which led us to believe it was more than just another tired continental breakfast. It turned out to be the same old thing - the "hot breakfast" was a few chafing dishes with instant scrambled eggs, pre-cooked sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, etc. They did have a waffle iron. The rest was the usual offering of yogurt, bread (for toast), bagels, muffins, etc. It was fine; it just wasn't what we were expecting for a "hot breakfast." Stay here. With 66 hotels to choose from in Macon, you can do worse than number nine on the list. We'll be back.

This is a great property. The lobby is beautiful and very inviting with the chandelier and open staircase. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. We will stay at this property again in the future. Easy on and off the freeway with restaurants close.

First of all, I have to disclose that I booked the wrong Best Western in Macon. Apparently there are two, and I screwed up - big time. We are traveling to Orlando with our five children and my mother-in-law, so we booked this hotel and requested two adjoining rooms. The hotel did honor for that request. For that, and the fact that the rooms were partially updated and relatively clean; they earned a "Poor" rating from me instead of "Terrible". Since we were driving from Cincinnati, we arrived late - around 11pm. We walked into the lobby to find no one at the front desk - just a guy slapping his girlfriend on her bottom as he was carrying her around the lobby. When they saw us, he put her down and she went behind the desk to check us in. After the super-awkward and unprofessional check-in, we figured out that all of her and her boyfriend's friends were partying in the parking lot and ...luckily, our rooms were far away from the lounge attached to the hotel. As other reviewers have stated, the smoke-free hotel smells very smoky. The rooms were nothing special, but they were partially updated and at least they were clean. The bathrooms are in serious need of updating. In the morning, a hot breakfast is provided from 6:30-9:30. My family arrived at 9:15 and it was obvious that the woman stocking the food and cleaning that area was upset about the fact that we were there close to the end of closing. She kept sighing every time we would take something from the bar or fill a glass. We are quickly and were cleaning up our tables at 9:32...she had already turned most of the lights off and the TV in the room, so we were pretty much sitting in the dark. We tried to speak to a manager upon check-out, but there wasn't one on duty. I wouldn't recommend this hotel the way it is currently being run. Definitely stay at the other Best Western in Macon...not the Riverside Inn.

We had reserved a king bed and given 2 queens. Very tired when we arrived so didn't request a change. Mentioned it at checkout and was told, rudely, "You scheduled with administration." Okay, so what does that mean. "she just kept repeating, we didn't do it." Not helpful. Breakfast was the usual - dull normal. Probably would not stay again.

For the price it is what you would expect, no bells and whistles but fir one night good. Booked because of great reviews. Check in service was nothing great! No elevator for our 2nd floor room. 2nd Floor smells like smoke & curry. Room was super dusty. Wrote "Clean Me" on bedside table. Tub doesn't drain. Gross matt in bottom of tub. I'm hoping breakfast will be as good as the reviews because the room certainly isn't! Locos for dinner was awesome. Walked there & back. Very safe place to stay!

I was very happy with the service at this hotel and the cleanliness of the room. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were perfect. The free breakfast is over and above what I thought it would be. The service of the waitress was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel, it was my fist stay there but I will be going back.

They are definitely the best, Great staff, especially Benita, she goes out of her way to make sure everyone has a happy stay. While being on the road for business, it's important to feel comfortable and they're top notch when it comes to that very clean including the lining only complaint that I have, is when my stay comes to and end.

The first thing I do when I get in my room is lock and latch my door. Soon after I entered my room someone tried to enter with the master key. Thanks goodness the latch was on. Then they went to the room next door and tried to enter through the adjoining door, but I'd lock that one when I entered the room as well. I called the front desk and told them and they said they were doing some work on the room next door. That was no reason for them to try and enter my room without knocking.

The hotel is in a good location. Not far to go to some good restaurants. Front desk was very friendly. Our room was good. Although it smelled a little of chlorine although the pool was outside. Not sure why our room smelled? The room was updated. Over all it was a nice room.

This BW is located just outside the downtown area of Macon. Very easy to reach off I 75. Clean, nice rooms and for a decent price. Typical BW breakfast. We will stay here again when visiting Macon on our way south to Florida

I stay at Best Western Hotels whenever possible when traveling and vacationing. Best Western offers the amenities I like and I have yet to find one that was not well kept and maintained. I have never encountered an employee who was not very friendly, courteous and willing to make the stay the best. Thank you Best Western.

This Best Western has everything one would want. A bar/lounge with live music and karaoke. Food establishments nearby. A great pool and a nice gym. I totally enjoyed my stay and would stay again on my next trip down.

I reserved a non smoking king bed room for one night. On my arrival, I got a room with twin queen beds in it. Why go thru with reserving a particular room when you don't get it when you check in. Too tired to change rooms, just went to bed. May think twice about BW next trip...

this is our go to place whenever we are traveling from Ohio to Florida. We wouldn't stay anywhere else. The staff is friendly and always remembers us. The rooms are beautiful and the breakfast is a full breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage, sausage gravy, waffles etc. It is right off I-75 and has restaurants right near by.

Process for check in and out was smooth, and we needed to get out early since we had appt (with Mercer college.) Nothing super over the top, but clean and working HV/AC, lamps, frig, etc. Highlight was breakfast- substantial real food, clean, with very friendly and professional staff to help get us fed. THANKS

I read some of the nasty comments about this location, luckily I did not believe them. This facility was clean and hospitable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will certainly return on our next trip.

The beds were fairly new and they were comfortable, if it wasn't for that we would have been extremely unsatisfied. There was a bad odor as soon as you walked into the lobby and in the room as well. It smelled like stale smoke and something else that we didn't recognize. The lobby and hallways need new paint and carpet. Also there is a bar attached to the hotel but it isn't owned by the hotel, it was a typical "dive" bar and kind of seedy looking. We were disappointed in that because we were under the impression that the hotel had a restaurant and lounge and we were looking forward to staying in for dinner and drinks after a long day of travel. This property needs a complete makeover and they would be smart to buy the bar and turn it into a restaurant and lounge.

We stayed in Macon in order to attend a ceremony at Warner Robins AFB. It was a perfect choice for that purpose. The greatest strength of this hotel was the breakfast hostess, Vicki. I've stayed at plenty of hotels that offered free breakfast, but never one that had such an attentive hostess. It was as if Vicki made it her personal responsibility to see that we were well satisfied. I chose this hotel because it was dog friendly. However, I was a bit disappointed when my furry friend was, according to the person at the front desk, unable to walk through the lobby (leashed) with me.

This was a good place to stay for the night. The room and bed were very nice as well. I really would not recommend this hotel for a long visit. When I first arrived at the desk, the person behind the counter wasn't talking business friendly to another guest. This was a non-smoking facility but when I arrived all I smelled was smoke. The breakfast wasn't all that good.

The food was awesome and the room was awesome. Vicki did a fantastic job keeping breakfast stocked. They had eggs, sausage, biscuits, waffles, gravy, fruit, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, and pastries, drinks they had orange juice, apple juice, milk, water and the all important coffee. I loved it all was great.

Stopped here for an overnight on my way down to Florida. Check in went smoothly, and while the lobby did have a slightly odd smell, my room was fine. I travel with my small dog, so there is an additional fee for this hotel, as with all Best Westerns. Left the building to go get some food, and saw multiple police cars in front of the building. After returning, I stopped up front to inquire what the issue was, and found out that apparently the lobby had been robbed. It was blocked off with crime scene tape. I had heard nothing in my room (all the way in the back) and had no issues with my stay, but as a solo female traveler, it might make me pass by next time, and attempt to get to the next town South (as multiple friends of mine state that the bypass hotels often have crime issues). I will say that the staff was nice, and good at their job. Breakfast was insanely busy, and therefore I ate standing, but the lady working that area apologized profusely that there were no more chairs. Room came with free wifi (after getting passcode from the desk).

The room was clean & convenient for an over night business trip with a microwave & mini fridge. The Free Breakfast was really good too & enough choices to pick from. It was a little disappointing not being able to get a late check out but Will for sure stay there again on my next business trip or passing through.

This is a great place to stop when you are leaving the north to head for the south... they are really nice and appreciate the hospitality that the workers go out of the way to give you. Great Southern welcome for those travelling

Booked nonsmoking hotel room online. Arrived in hotel to strong smell of smoke. Even worse, arrived in non-smoking room to strong odor of smoke, two ashtrays, and smoking burn holes in bed linens. Called front desk and they swore this was a nonsmoking room. It is clearly a smoking room. They don't have another room to move us too so we are having to look for another hotel in the middle of the night as my asthma is now flaring. Very displeased.

We wanted to get south of Atlanta before stopping for the night. After construction that slowed us down and stopping at 2 hotels that had no rooms, I called ahead to this one. Although it was a 2 star, reviews were good, so took a chance. Checked in at 3:30 am to a friendly desk clerk, Bill. Room was clean and spacious. Beds comfy with extra pillows. Noise level was non existing so insulation was great. Breakfast I got there to late to see it all but honey buns, juice coffee and cereal, which was fine for us. (Open until 9:30; but we slept in since we got in so late). Staff was very friendly from the maids to the checkout clerk. Rate was $72 for spring break AAA discount. Very nice hotel for the money. I would definitely stay here again.

Was in town for a meeting and researched where I would stay. Settled on the Best Western. This is a clean, well staffed, and well lit property. The breakfast is great and the lady working there is wonderful and makes you feel at home. The check in and out was easy and I enjoyed talking with both of the staff. If you are there on a Tuesday and enjoy live music, an added bonus is the open mic jam that is at the bar in the front adjacent to the hotel. Amazing local talent that highlights the best of the Macon area.

We stayed here two nights while visiting family. The room was reasonably large, and had enough furniture. The staff was very friendly. We did have one issue with the plumbing--the shower is placed much too high, and can't be moved very much. We had lots of water on the floor, and wasted a lot of towels cleaning up the mess the shower made. The breakfast room is large, but the choices were a little limited. When we visit our family members again, I would return.

We booked through the Best western reservation line at 10 pm the night of our stay. We were tired and just needed a place to crash on our way to Florida. We were able to book a room with a veterans discount. This old hotel has been completely remodeled and for the price is an excellent stay. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Great free breakfast. For the price I would have expected much less cleanliness and amenities. ??????. Thanks Best Western!

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel on our drive back from Florida. It was easy to access from the highway but it was set back from the road so the rooms were very quiet. The hotel had a really nice courtyard with a pool and a very attractive and spacious breakfast room. Vicki kept the room clean and she was very friendly. One thing to note: there is no elevator so ask for a ground floor room if you have a problem with carrying luggage upstairs.

The breakfast area was roomy, very clean and bright, and the food offerings were the best I've encountered at a hotel in recent years. Staff members were all very friendly and kind. I enjoyed meeting them. Our room was quite comfortable. The price was good...I recommend this hotel!

If someone else hadn't been paying for the room, I would not have given this place a chance!! When you walk in the lobby, it's nothing but stake cigarette smoke!! They have a bar attached & people smoke outside. The corridors are stale smoke smell too. I am highly allergic to smoke & was very worried!!! The room, however, was clean & just fine for one night. I'll update on breakfast in the morning.

Best breakfast in Georgia and a great place to stay. Good dinner food just down the road and easy get on and off on I75. The bed was very comfortable and the eating area was the biggest I have ever seen at a hotel. They had tables and booths and not all crowded. Checking in and out was a breeze.

I had stayed at the Best Western Riverside Inn before, but it had been a year and several hotels ago. I had forgotten how well an older property can be presented with a large helping of maintenance, cleanliness, and warmth from the staff. From the moment I chcked in (the lady at the desk noticed I had cut my finger and insisted on going to find me a Band Aid), to the time I checked out, everyone was asking how things were. And the best part, the asking seemed like genuine concern, not rehearsed. The room seemed to be in good shape, everything worked properly and felt clean. The breakfast was normal hotel buffet fare, but it too was served up with a dose of Southern Hospitality. In short, this is not a Five Star property and doesn't pretend to be, but if you are looking for top of the line in this price category, look no further

WE have been driving to FL from MI for over 10 years. WE stop @ this Best Western every time. WE are very tired when we arrive. At check-in we are greeted by a friendly smile and warm welcome. Some of the staff remember us . The rooms are very clean, I am a germ nut. don't like germs. NO smell of smoke or PETS. But best of all they have a great breakfast FREE . Everything you need. And the lady Vicki is the greatest. She knows us, always has the food hot and ready. If you need something special she will go out of her way to get it for you. Vicki keeps it very clean. Best Western is lucky to have her. She does a great job!!!!! Thanks VICKI

We paid $78 including taxes and will plan to stay again en route to Florida. The young woman at check in was welcoming and helpful. The room was very clean. The beds were comfortable and provided a variety of nice pillows. The breakfast included sausage, gravy and eggs served by a very helpful and pleasant woman. The room offered free wifi and frig plus enough room to accommodate bikes. The heater worked well but didn't offer thermostat numbers so it was hard to regulate heat. The towels were scratchy and what you'd expect at a budget hotel.

Clean and comfortable room but the best thing about this hotel is the friendly and helpful staff. They went out of their way to accommodate my requests. I needed to leave my car here for a couple of days and they were very nice about allowing me to park there while I went with a friend for a few days.

After a bumpy start (given a queen room despite a king reservation - corrected with no problem! and a couple minor things) we enjoyed our one night's stay. The room was clean and very quiet. Despite good intentions, we didn't use the fitness center, but it was very adequately outfitted. Breakfast was very good. As other travelers have mentioned, Vicki was on duty, and did a great job making sure her guests were well fed and taken care of. Would stay again. Nice property.

My son and I stayed here for one night. We made reservations in advance. The hotel is convenient to Interstate 75. It has an outdoor pool and exercise room. The breakfast area is one of the largest I've seen of its type, being a free breakfast style. It was good and had nice variety of food. I'd stay here again.

Convenient location to interstate on a frontage road. Hotel had a great rate and the rooms were large and clean. Didn't use any facilities other than breakfast offered. No problems with anything and we just stayed overnight.

Confirmation does NOT quote actual or additional charges. Deceptive, misleading wording. Customer support has not acknowledged complaint, still waiting after 5 days. Requesting a refund of additional/hidden charges.

We were driving down I-75 to take I-16 to Savannah. It was raining hard and it was a cold rain. We saw the Best Western off the freeway and decided to stop and give it a try. Value for the cost was very good. Our room had been updated. Nice beds and linens. New carpets and furniture. Free internet and a free hot breakfast. Bathroom was clean. Newer tiles and countertops. I was impressed especially for what we got versus the cost of a nights stay.

We booked hotel half hour before arriving. They didn't have it in computer, but she just wrote down info from my email confirmation and it wasn't a problem. The flat screen LG TV llooked newer but channels were grainy. Many stations didn't work because the hotel/TV isn't set to accept digital channels, only analog. Get with the times BW and add digital channel support. :)
