I have been coming to this hotel since I was a kid. I had such great memories, but when we stayed there this past weekend to visit our son at USU Family weekend I was so disappointed. The room was VERY dirty. Hasn't been updated since it was built. The ceilings were peeling paint. The carpet was dirty. The tub had a dirt ring around it and there were tiny bugs all over the tub. PLEASE skip the breakfast, it is in a TINY dingy space and did not taste great. We will not stay there again. Plus when you check in the main reception is a small building and smells like cigarette smoke. Plus they don't clean between nights and when I walked down to get fresh towels they smelled like cigarette smoke - gross! The staff was very friendly, but the place has gone down hill. It isn't worth the money for the stay or location. I will find a new hotel next time we visit.
Stopped here as a midpoint on a trip from Yellowstone to Yosemite. The hotel is easy to find with ample free parking. The staff are excellent and Nick quickly checked us into our room and gave us some dining recommendations. You can park right outside your room. The rooms are very big, clean, comfortable and well appointed. There is a pool but we didn't have time to use it. There are plenty of restaurants a short walk from the hotel.
This hotel is hands down one of the most honest hotels I've ever worked with. I worked with a manager named Daniel. He understood the difficult situation I was in with a complicated booking and helped me fix the situation completely. I am definitely going to use this hotel again in the future. Thank you so much Baugh Motel!!!
It was so lovely! I loved the charm of the hotel. It was clean, well maintained and Soo comfortable! Breakfast was the best Continental besides Drewry! I should've copied the review I wrote for Best Western. Ha ha I really loved the spaciousness, the bathroom was fantastic the jetted tub, and I liked the two sinks and two luggage holders, and the large sitting area. Just overall loved it. Highly recommend. Oh but bring your own hair care. Lol smallest bottles I've seen in years. Unless you have any hair then you'll be fine. Lol also I was very appreciative of the shower wand and the bed was amazing 😍
Old but clean. Extremely overpriced. It's a motel not a hotel. Adequate hot breakfast, but not great. The room is spacious and clean and outdated. The bed was good. The room was dark and quiet. Those are the only good points. Nothing about the experience makes me want a repeat.
Overall we had a good experience. This is a very old motel. Although it carries the Best Western name, it isn't like a normal BW. That being said, it was spotlessly cleaned. Tub was newer and the water pressure was amazing. The pillows were just okay. I would stay there again.
This is a very comfortable motel. The bed was clean, soft, comfortable, with plenty of pillows. The room was very clean, with ample lighting. The bathroom was very clean with no signs of mold or mildew in the tub or elsewhere. The management staff was especially helpful and cheerful. The manager even called me before my stay to ensure my handicap needs were met. I highly recommend this motel.
This was a charming , please, well kept, well decorated, very pleasant place to stay. I would highly recommend this place. It was very convenient to restaurants and shopping. It was a delicious breakfast with Eggs, sausage and French toast.
This is an older hotel and I had actually stayed here back in 2000. Back then it was not part of Best Western and they had the cutest sheep-themed ("baugh") towels and my husband and I bought a set. Sadly, the towels are no longer around. Although older, I would still be willing to recommend it if you are passing through Logan. I just wish they would provide a better hot breakfast - in both variety and flavor.
Although this is an older motel style place it's very well maintained. The grounds and pool are nice. The rooms are older style but very clean and everything worked, which is way better than the last Marriott I stayed in! It was quiet and located right on Main st so convenient to find restaurants. I'd definitely stay here again.
This is not a 3 star hotel. Beds springy and not comfortable. Not sure how they were even double in size. Hair in bathroom. Very dirty carpets. 2 light fixtures in room completely broken. Very dark. Bathroom so old - no updates since the 1960s? Toilet hardly flushed. The pool was disgusting and broken pool chairs strewn across the patio. Hot tub not working order What shows online is completely inaccurate.
I booked our room on the app, and when I chose the room, I know for a fact, it was no more than $160, maybe $170 a night. But when I got there, my total said something different. This is the first year I'm only using debit and cash, and I mistakenly thought, that the difference was a deposit. After a long drive, I didn't question further. However, when I checked out, I found out, that they actually charged me $371 a night. I NEVER would have paid that. Especially considering the condition of the hotel. Which I normally wouldn't comment on, but if you're going to charge almost $400, I expect ALOT more! And the app did NOT disclose that as the price up front, but I had no way to prove it. Daniel whom I dealt with, was nice, but couldn't help. Paying over $600 for 2 nights at the Baugh is ridiculous, I'm sorry. The mattress dipped in the middle, cobwebs on the light, tub didn't drain. I mean, come on!
Great property for me. Traveling with extended family. Stayed in my own room. Older property but well maintained, updated, and BEST pool. The pool is outdoors and long enough to swim meaningful laps. The breakfast offerings is a little on the thin side but does include scrambled eggs. Overall for me, best value and staff was very accomodating to my wants (later check out so I could swim more).
Hidden beneath my sheets was a large, crusty brown stain on the mattress cover. There were also spiders in the bathroom, plus spider webs with hundreds of bugs above the window drapes. I reported my complaint to top management, who have ignored me thus far.
Awful mattresses, okay air conditioning, half ass clean. I would think an upgrade on the bedding would be great. On a positive note they do accept dogs at $20 per dog and a $50 deposit. There are better options, but not many if you have your fur family with you.
Great rooms. Very convenient. The outdoor pool this time of year is handy. Great location. Quiet. Staff is non-interuptive. When in Cache Valley, this should be first spot to consider for lodging. The Thai food restaurant and quesobirria tacos from the nearby truck are good.
We did not have high expectations based on the price, but we were pleasantly surprised! The room was clean and quiet, the beds were comfortable, and there was a fridge and microwave in the room. We will definitely keep this place in mind next time we are in Logan!
The room was very clean and nice. It had a fridge (along with a small freezer) that actually got cold (unlike many hotel refrigerators.) The staff was super friendly and made you feel welcome. The grounds are great with a lot of grass, many trees, and benches for relaxing. It made for a great atmosphere. We loved the grassy area down by the river. They have a hot breakfast, although no waffles, but otherwise it was good. We stayed three nights and had a perfect stay.
This is a classic old hotel in the middle of town. Some of the rooms old fashion but still nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. I love the tub and pool!
We booked the Baugh as a last resort but upon arrival the room was filthy. Animal hair on the bedding, it looked like it hadn't been vacuumed or wiped down in years. We left asking for a refund and were told the 72hr cancellation policy prevented this. Drove to the next available accomodation in North Logan
The person in charge of breakfast and the check in counter people were AMAZING!!! They patiently helped us locate the motel since google maps sent us to the wrong address. The manager even stood outside on the street to make sure we were at the right place!! They couldnt do enough for us! The motel is quaint and delightful!! Clean and comfortable!! Will always stay here!!!
I was very pleasantly surprised given the age of the buildings how wonderful and comfortable the room was inside. This is by far the most comfortable and best lodging value in Logan. I won't be booking any other hotel in Logan from now on.
I had reviews on this hotel and found them to be accurate. The room was attractive and clean. It is an older hotel, but very well kept. We enjoyed our stay enough to consider staying there again in the future.
Upon entering the first room, advertised as a "Premium Room", my optimism crumbled faster than the neglect-ridden walls around me. The drain issue in the bathtub was not just a problem; it was a cesspool of debris emerging from the depths. Even the maintenance personnel, faced with this , refused to touch the water I found myself standing in. The room, far from vintage and charming, rather, a testament to neglect and poor maintenance. Relocated to a second room, my horror persisted as I encountered dog hair blanketing the sofa. This wasn't just a cleanliness oversight; it was a revelation of the motel's disregard for basic hygiene. If dog hair is flaunted proudly in plain sight, one can only fathom the horrors lurking unseen. To add insult to injury, the drain in the second room seemed to have been violently torn out and callously placed on the tub side. As a paying guest, I expected a minimum standard of cleanliness and functionality, but Baugh Motel fell extremely short of these minimal expectations. Deciding to cut my losses, I informed the hotel of my departure. They informed me they could not offer me a refund, directing me to email Hal, the hotel manager. Despite reaching out over a week ago, I have not received any response from Hal. Attempts to obtain his contact number from the hotel were unsuccessful. They claimed he was stuck in Salt Lake due to weather conditions – a blatant lie, as I had just driven from Salt Lake that night with clear roads. This appalling experience and lack of accountability from the management compel me to warn others against choosing Baugh Motel. Save yourself the disappointment and frustration – steer clear of this establishment. Update: The management team pitifully offered me half a refund despite the massive inconvenience and disgusting room they subjected me to. I was at the property for less than 30 minutes and never stayed a single night.
Really cute and quaint hotel in Logan. We came to visit family on our way South for the winter. Really took us back in time. Very clean and nice staff. Our room was nostalgic and well cared for. This hotel has gone through some changes and they are doing great.
I like the classic furnishings and spacious room, and the location was very convenient to downtown and the venue we were attending. I don't like the dated bathrooms with old, drippy faucets, not a lot of space and no countertop space in the bathroom (small counter space outside.of bathroom taken up by the coffee set.
I stayed here in August. Pleasant staff at the front desk. Walk to several places on Main Street and to downtown Logan. The breakfast attendant helpfully recommended the Cache County Fair. Avoid the older two-floor building, which has hardware issues. No AC, only a swamp cooler that makes the room humid. The coffee maker had a missing piece of pipe and spat scalding steam everywhere. Holes in the bug screen. View over a yard
My parents stayed at the Baugh on their honeymoon nearly 60 years ago. On a recent trip, I decided to check it out because of the value and convenient location. Our room was clean and comfortable, with good dining options within walking distance. Just be aware that if you book through a third party, the hotel will not refund you if plans change, despite what the third party's terms and conditions say.
My husband cannot stay in motels that use fragrance. Nick made certain there was no fragrance before my husband arrived. He was able to get a good night's sleep! This type of service is not available anywhere else and we have looked!!!
I'll never do it again. Worst night ever. Dead bugs fell from the lights as we ate in our room into our food. Black hair on the walls and floor in the bathroom. AC did not work at all. The room smelled like old smoke.
What was represented and pictured online was not even close to what it actually was. The room. Was run down with the furniture all scuffed up and the seating was dirty. the AC not working. The odor in the room was unmanageable. Best Western customer service was horrible. Sorry you booked with no cancellation there us nothing we can do to make it right. The front desk was amazing and did all they could do to make it right. Corporate disconnect, forgetting that being kind to patrons is important.
This place is clean and has a great vibe! The staff, especially Nick at the front desk were very informative and kind. The pool is great. The location is right downtown and super convenient. I will stay here anytime that I am in town.
I read tons of reviews before purchasing and was very confident about staying there. We knew the hotel was older, but the reviews were so positive that we felt comfortable trying out something with retro charm. But upon receiving our room, we not only found the hotel to be extremely miscategorized in terms of star rating (it should be a 1 or less!), we found: dead insects; live insects; uncleaned flooring with leaves, rocks and dirt; food crumbs and hair on the furniture; a clogged sink; unwashed bedding literally covered in human and pet hair and bodily fluids. I don't blame the front desk attendant because it seemed he was powerless to help. We asked to see a different room and were told we could not pull back the bedding, but it was also clearly not clean from just viewing the top of it. There was no manager on duty to help or any cell number to call them, or any offer to clean the room. It was so bad that we had to leave and go to other hotels to try to find one that had availability for the night. Big waste of money and it ruined our plans for the evening.
As part of a long road trip, we recently spent one night at the Baugh Motel. This was our second time staying at this motel and, once again, it was great. Since the hotel is downtown it is convenient to shopping and restaurants. The property is well maintained inside and out. We had a room with a queen bed, two chairs, desk, microwave and refrigerator. The room was plenty large enough, very clean and the bed was comfortable. It seemed like a small queen but was still fine. The breakfast was very good with plenty to choose from. The customer service at this motel is excellent. We had a pleasant stay, and I would definitely recommend it when visiting the Logan area.
We had multiple family groups and was able to get rooms for everyone. We used the family suite. Which had 3 queen beds for larger families. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool. The morning breakfast had average amount of choices. Cereal, muffins, bagels, juice and 3 hot items.
Read the negative reviews. THEY ARE TRUE. As a repeating customer I made a reservation online (my mistake) and was charged almost 50% fees that I did not see until after submitting my payment (Priceline is a scam). I immediately contacted Baugh Motel to help with the situation and they refused to help. SHAME ON YOU Baugh Motel. They need to cut ties with SCAM sites. Read about other reviews saying the SAME thing. I will never stay here again, and neither should you (unless you like throwing money away). So unhappy.
Really fun, retro motel. The tile bathroom was realy fun. Room was clean and inviting. The grounds are lovely and well kept. The outdoor pool was nice too. It was a great location. The hidden park by the creek was lovely. Would gladly stay again.
We did not have room reservation in advance and the desk attendant was very helpful and accommodating to make sure the room we were able to get was accessible on first floor for elderly family member with a walker.
I have stayed at the Baugh Motel in the past and had a wonderful experience. The pool is incredible and it is a fun mom and pop place. My last stay was a total disaster. I complained about a dirty couch and wrote about it on my check-in review. Imagine my surprise when I received a call the next morning chastising me for writing the review. At no time during the call did the front desk apologize or ask how to make things right. I felt the management was totally inappropriate in calling me. It made the rest of my stay awkward. I will never be staying at the motel again. It has gone down in service and cleanliness.
The rooms had an old school warmth and elegance that you don't find anywhere these days and the price was great. We felt right at home. We really enjoyed our stay here and will come back again The location is great, easy access to everything but still quiet and restful.
Great place to stop and ready on my way to Jackson Hole. Defintely recommend. Accommodations and locations were great. Staff extremely helpful. I travel wihh to a dog and this hotel, location was great. Pet friendly.
This is an older hotel, but the rooms are nicely maintained and the pool and tub were a nice break from the heat. It would be nice to have more towels at the pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Spent three days at the Baugh Motel. Clean room, good breakfast, quiet, nice jacuzzi. Nick, supervisor, is an awesome young man. He was very helpful and has a great personality. He was instrumental in making our vacation enjoyable. Breakfast, and housekeeping staff were always polite and friendly whenever we encountered them. Will definitely stay there again when we come to Logan.
I had a fabulous time. I am from this location and even worked many as a front desk clerk at this motel. The room was just as clean and everyone was just as friendly as they were many years ago. It is amazing to maintain such a strong family legacy for decades.
Did not get a queen room. Light bulb burned out on light between bed. Air conditioner is old and will not cool the room down. Had only 1 maid on duty. Desk clerk sad she had done 17 room today! They are letting it run down. Can't believe that Best Western would keep them on.
I booked through Priceline through one of their hidden hotel deals. Big mistake. I was booked in a smoking room. I am unable to tolerate cigarette smoke and tried to get the hotel to change to a nonsmoking room working with the hotel directly. (There was nothing on Priceline showing it would be a smoking room). I tried to work with the hotel who would not change it to a nonsmoking without charging another $40. The person who answered the phone was unable to make those changes without manager approval. The manager kept blaming Priceline saying they notify Priceline that they will be using their worst rooms for Priceline guests. He made sure to let me know he was an important person who had many investments. He told me I was unreasonable and belligerent for wanting to have a room change without paying an additional $40. I was treated very rudely, being told that he's never worked with someone as unreasonable as me. I did not yell or demand any upgrade in bed choices, just wanted a nonsmoking room. Priceline also would do nothing about the problem. Everyone we dealt with were rude and unworkable.
Vintage motel in walking distance to Eccles theater and many restaurants and shops. Quiet property, clean units, hot breakfast. They will service your room only if you request it before 11am each day.
I have really tried to give this hotel the benefit of the doubt because it was built by my grandmother's brother back in the 50s and Baugh is a family name. I have stayed here four times now and there are just problems every time. The price is very high for the age and quality of the hotel. The first time I stayed here I booked a second room for my son who was coming a few days later. Before he and his family arrived I went in the room to leave them some gift baskets and to fold the towels in the shape of animals for the children. The room was very dirty. I was surprised. I got my antibacterial wet wipes and proceeded to clean the bathroom. I would have been very embarrassed for my son to have checked into such a dirty room. The wet wipes were covered with Dirt and hair and underneath an old radiator in the bathroom it was absolutely filthy. But , I decided to give them another chance and stayed here on a solo trip in October of 2021. The plug in the bathroom sink was flopping around so I pulled it out and it was so black and dirty and covered with filth and hair that I almost threw up. I stepped outside with it and showed the housekeeper who was nearby and they took it and cleaned it and brought it back but it was still a very unpleasant experience. I just stayed again this very month of July 2022. The bathroom floor had a plastic twist top off of a drink laying on it. I stopped to pick it up and noticed some black dots on the floor also. So I got my trusty antibacterial wet wipes and proceeded to clean the bathroom floor. It was filthy. My wet wipes were covered with dirt and hair and debris. I took the filthy wet wipes to the office to show them how dirty the bathroom floor was. So I did make them aware.I just feel like a best Western and a hotel that charges their prices should at least be clean. This is an older hotel and is quite outdated but it could still be thought of as vintage and quaint if it were clean. That is their only chance.
The room was decent, slightly old. Nothing more nothing less. But when I went to get breakfast I had an interesting experience, a first from all the traveling I've done. As I was serving myself, a cook like person came out and questioned me. To prove I was staying there in order to eat. I let him know my room number but that wasn't enough, he wanted my name. I gave it to him because there's more to life than arguing with an imbecile. First off, I'm of color and the only person that was interrogated. Maybe it was with malintent, maybe it wasn't either way the line of questioning sure stunk. Secondly, it's not my duty to prove anything to anyone. It is the hotels job to fairly keep order in a more ambiguous manner. Lastly, why would I have stolen crappy hotel breakfast? We all know how bland and boring it is. So kindly, get back in the kitchen and cook something worth stealing, chef. Lol
The air conditioning unit didn't work—on the hottest day of the year. Supervisor told me it would just take a while to cool down but it never did. Woke up in a pool of sweat at 3:30 am. Couldn't get the room to cool down no matter what. Seems like the room should be checked for full functionality before a guest arrives.
This room was booked for a stay to travel towards home. I arrived early but was unable to check in which is understandable so I told them I would come back later. When I came back later between 6 and 7 there was no access to the hotel as all the nearby streets were blocked off. A police officer told me that it was likely to be that way for the rest of the night. I called the hotel and they confirmed that there was no access even from any back way. I asked to have the manager call me back as the clerk did not have the authority to cancel and refund me, but they never did return my call. My father who had booked the room later called and said that I was on my way home instead as I could get there much quicker than waiting all night to get in. The manager this time was too busy to talk to my father, but the clerk assured him that the manager would take care of it. The hotel did not cancel the reservation even though it clearly was not going to be used because it could not be accessed. I ended up being billed for the room which was not because I did not show but only because I had no access to the hotel not of my choice. The manager made no attempt to handle this the night of the reservation at first because he was out watching the parade and then because he was too busy. His explanation later was that everyone else made it. They probably all showed up earlier to be there for the parade, wondering how many of them were let in early but not me who was unaware there even was a parade. I was never advised that there would be road closures later as well. I understand reservation policies well but this is an extremely different situation that warrants a response that I never got. I would never stay again here as their explanations are conflicting and insensitive. They certainly don't abide by their motto: SureStay Hotel Group Promise If something goes wrong, we will make it right.
This is an older motel (pink tile in the bathroom!), but it is very well maintained and immaculately clean. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was good. I thought the price (about $135) seemed a little high, but found out after check in that it was graduation weekend at the university. We were traveling through on our way to visit family in Idaho, so didn't really have an option to choose a different time. Friendly staff - possibly family owned business?
This motel is historic and has character. Not all the rooms are the same - some are nicer than others. The local management is very nice. I recommend staying here. Our visit was marred by a failure of the Best Western web site which cost us extra money. This had nothing to do with the local motel.
WOW! Totally wasn't expecting a super cool, retro, midcentury modern type room for around $80! And the room (and the bathroom) were huge!!! Super clean. LOVED everything about my stay, probably because the motel is either still owned by the family that built it in the 50's, or by people who respect that history. You should see how they incorporate it into the room decor. Just delightful! You can really see the love. The internet was perfect, the front desk guy (Kyle?) was enthusiastic, friendly, and helpful with a great, on point suggestion for dinner when I said I was really in the mood for just a really good sandwich (Logan's Heroes, if you're interested…great sandwich, but avoid the pasta salad unless you're a fan of heat). Right next to a very cool downtown, with plenty to see and do. Walked right by a jazz club on the way to pick up my sandwich. Extremely walkable location. I've told all my friends about it, and I'll definitely stay here, again, if I'm within 50 miles of the place.
Excellent front service, very nice owners and family. Room was amazing everything that i needed was in the room. Front desk was very helpful the room was perfect for the occasion that was celebrated :)
On the last night of a two week 3200 mile holiday journey visiting family all over the west we arrived a little late to the Baugh Hotel on a freezing cold snowy night and were met with humor and warmth by new co-owner Jeff and the young fellow at the desk, and immediately hit it off. The hotel is older brick construction with several buildings amidst some established trees, giving it an almost campus feel. The room was immaculate and clean as a whistle including the bathroom and fixtures, even the old fashioned shower tiles were sparkling. The place was very quiet, the bed was marvelous and we slept like logs, waking to a home-cooked breakfast in the little breakfast area with fresh scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon as well as fruit and a range of cereals, also juices. Checkout was a breeze and everyone we met was super friendly and helpful. This was our 6th hotel stop on this multi-stop journey and I was shocked at checkout to be reminded of the very low price, because this was the best hotel stay over all and the least expensive too. Am happy that we now have a solid place to stay as we have family moving into the area.
Absolutely love this hotel. Over last 2 years we, including friends and family, have stayed here 100 plus days. The staff is very attentive and go out of their way to make sure your stay is memorable and comfortable!
Beautiful looking motel. Property has charm. We didn't get in the outdoor pool as weather wasn't good. Breakfast was good except for the small room. Should be bigger with the number of rooms they have. Nice area. We had a first floor King room with no one upstairs.
The motel was very clean. The employees were great, very kind And friendly! The breakfast was nice. It had a good variety of hot and cold items. Breakfast was kept well stocked. I loved the location. The motel has lots of trees and some grassy areas. I thought it was beautiful!
We were lucky enough to only get the room at the price gouge of 160$ through priceline. The t.v. did not work the microwave did not work a lamp did not work. It was late so we went to bed. I notified the front desk "help" the next morning to only get a reslonse of sounds good. Terrible
Overall very pleased with our stay. I felt the price matched the quality. Not the most high end/fancy hotel. It's definitely older but you can tell they've done a great job maintaining the quality. I would most definitely stay here again.
Well the first room had a very bad smell of urine. Like a cat lady lived there for weeks. The second room smelled like an antique store. But it seemed ok. A day in the AC went out just hot air blowing. Mattresses are not very comfortable. It is very old very outdated, this is not a quaint cutesy place. Dead weeds along the building. I think people live here for long periods. The place needs a complete over haul. Pictures look good but too many issues that pop up.
The Baugh Motel in Logan, UT, was a delightful respite in the middle of a 3-day drive from San Antonio to Seattle. The staff was friendly and professional. Check-in was cheerful and expeditious. The room was clean and comfortable and the internet worked easily. The Baugh must be very solidly built, because I never heard a peep from the family with kids in the room next door. Add to that a beautiful and charming facility that brought back fond memories of childhood road trips. I will definitely be back and will be recommending the Baugh Motel to others.
Very accommodating hotel and staff would recommend this place to anyone stayed here for work on several occasions. Had three rooms at one point my whole crew stayed here. All front desk staff was friendly and helpful.
I made me reservation through Best Western to ensure I could use my $100 in vouchers I had earned from other stays at Best Western. When I arrived at the hotel they said the room was already pre-paid. And I explain I was assured it would not be pre-paid and the card was just to hold the room. After a long conversation the front desk clerk finally said yes, we can change the pre-pay and use your vouchers. But when I went to check out the next morning the clerk said she didn't know how to use the vouchers and she had to call a supervisor. After a wait she said she could do it and I would only be charged the remaining $81 of $181 one night stay. I look at my bank account today and was charged the full $181! This room was not worth $181! I would not have stayed had I known they were not going to honor the BW vouchers.
Beds made sloppily, comforter does not fit bed, mattress is old and uncomfortable, toilet paper roll behind toilet so it's hard to reach without turning around on the toilet, dog poop everywhere so you better watch where you step.
Clean, spacious room, friendly staff. We arrived late and the front desk manager was personable and welcoming. We felt safe and secure and the room was comfortable and provided everything we needed for a fabulous stay.
This place is a dump. I booked three rooms. They "weren't ready" at check in time, or an hour later. When we got in the rooms 2 of them had no Air Conditioning! One family moved to a better room and one couple endured thru the night. Avoid this place like the plague.
Stayed here as a young man moving to Logan in the late 60s. Was always a first class location. Attended a local play and dinner with my wife. Had the best sleep in a motel in a decade. Rooms have aged slightly, but no compromise in the comfort of the room. Thanks Baugh. Loved it back then, and loved it last night.
The staff was friendly and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable. I forgot my phone charger and the front desk loaned me one for the night. Check out was easy. The location is close to shopping, restaurants and the 89 freeway
Booked a month in advance, discussed on the phone which room on the ground floor I wanted, and arrived to find I was put on second floor instead. Having health issues, this caused a miserable 4 days for me. Not to mention, the heat in that room did not work and no one responded to my call for a portable heater. I had to go get one myself the next day. I was also told pet fee would be waived, however, manager overrode that and charged me anyway. Worse experience ever at this motel, which I've previously enjoyed staying at. I have stayed there the past 5 years, but no more.
Pets are allowed and although I have nothing against them, they need rooms available that have had no pets whatsoever...I had asthma all night long. Tables were dirty, ants in the bathroom and smelled like an old smoking room. Rather musty. Most reviews were good so that is why we stayed there but if you have pet allergies, just beware.
The room was quaint and clean. The grounds were shady and lovely. The service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. The location was nice and close to everything we needed. I would love to stay here again.
We stumbled upon The Baugh Hotel and were so pleased with the price and comfortable bed that we extended our stay from 3 to 5 nights. The bagged breakfast was abundant and we were pleased with the tv remote in a sanitized bag. The internet worked perfectly. Don't tell anyone else about this gem.
The Baugh is in a great location and is a great property. If you have a pet, they have an area as big as a park on the property for your dog to run and play. The room, we had a dog with us, was not...I repeat not your normal dog room. It was super clean. White satin jacquard comforter burgundy velvet Queen Anne style chairs. burgundy carpet and there was no dust along the mop boards that you normally see in hotels. It was almost like the carpet was just installed! This room was super clean! No cover up room spray, just clean. The bed was very comfortable. They offered take away breakfast and fee WiFi. Best place ever! I still can't believe it was designated a room for a dog and his humans. Restaurants are a stones throw away. Great location!
It was great stay. Great spot to explore beautiful Logan. Located just in downtown. Area is very pleasant- with hot tub, pool outside. Also cute park with beautifulThai Restaurant with adorable patio. Everything in walking distance. 5 minutes to temple and University. Would like to come back in the fall.
Molly and her staff were absolutely amazing, I had a mess up that I did on my end and they had expedia call them and fixed it, without any additional charges etc. I was in town for a funeral and they were just wonderful to our family.!!! Thank you, Thank you.
The room pictures and other reviews did not match my experience. I booked the family suite for extra room. The picture was not at all correct. The actual room was quite small and dated, which would be OK if it were clean. Some of the towels and the bedding were stained. We found long hairs in the sink and on the towels. There were used bars of soap in the shower. That is never acceptable, but especially not during the pandemic. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable. The breakfast was OK. I can appreciate vintage, but cleanliness is critical. There are many other newer, cleaner, better maintained, less expensive hotels in Logan to choose from.
At first glance, it's merely an older 1960 -70's era inn. Hit or miss on cleanliness, staff or other problems. This is not the case here. Rooms were huge, clean. In fact very clean. The staff was excellent, engaging, friendly. The ground were clean. Best of all you are right in the middle of Logan at a great price. A nice little Thai restaurant was next door and shops, theater within a walk. Best part was heading back to our room that felt like a bygone era still had a presence today.
The room was musty and stale smelling. This is an older place with outdoor hallways. It had an older bathroom that was actually kind of cool in a retro way. The location is good if you want to be the center of town in Logan, UT.
Was a nice stay, rooms were clean, bed was a little small we have a king size and it was queen, but comfortable. Pillows were nice. Had a micro and refrigerator which was nice and very clean. The coffee make was a one cup at a time, which is also nice. Would stay there again! Very pleasant people at the desk, housekeeping and everyone else we came in contact with.
We are very familiar with Best Western but not other SureStay properties. This turned out to be a fun little hotel. Reminded me of the motels of my road trips with parents. And that's not bad. Nice spread out of the various buildings. Lovely grounds with trees and grass not just the usual concrete. Our room even had a fireplace...not that we needed it in July! The room overall was clean and the bed great . The room could use some work on stains on the walls
This is our go-to motel when we stay in Logan. We have never been dissatisfied and the room is always clean and neat. Highly recommend to others when we get the chance. The front desk staff is always professional and courteous.
This charming motel on Main Street in Logan was just what I needed for my little getaway! It was peaceful and quiet, the staff was polite and cheerful, and my room was very clean and cool. Surrounded by trees, with the Logan River running behind the property, it was a breath of fresh air - literally - in this chaotic time. It was close to everything I needed - food and shops and fuel for the car - and it provided the perfect beginning to my trip to Bear Lake. Will definitely stay again!!
Beautiful setting= nicely maintained grounds,Great atmosphere. Great amenities: poolw/spa. Room was very clean. Nice furniture; bed was very soft- the best ever! Friendly front desk staff. The only motel in Logan I would stay at in the future.
Excellent service! They upgraded us to a bigger room so we would be more comfortable, which made our stay for our daughter's wedding much more enjoyable. The room was nice, the grounds were gorgeous an the staff went above and beyond to help us. Would stay here again.
Loved the rooms and trees on grounds . Very pretty. Friendly front desk staff. Breakfast was good and I enjoyed the decor in my room .Was very comfortable! I would recommend to stay here if you are traveling to Logan Utah.
This hotel always offers high quality and great service. Rooms are clean and comfortable. They offer microwave, refrigerator, nice television and more. Extra blankets and pillows available. Quiet rooms, located on main highway in Logan. Restaurants nearby.
Wonderful craftsman furniture and available fixtures for relaxing and electronics. Extremely comfortable bed and quality linens. Convenient close parking with over sized spots and wide clearly marked walk ways.
We heard every word uttered by our neighbors--until 2 am! So that was fun. Upon arrival we informed staff that that wifi didn't work. He said it was broken and would get right on it. It wasn't broken, the room simply doesn't have adequate access to a signal so we couldn't connect. Although he said he'd tell us when it was "fixed," he never did. I'm a BW member and stayed here before, but don't stay here. There are better options in Logan and when we return in 2 years, we'll stay at one of them. It's out-of-date and overpriced. Upgrade it, BW, or sell the property.
The Baugh Motel reminds me of the Motels we stayed in when I was a child. Unlike many of the motels remaining from the 1960's this one has been well maintained and continues to be so. Because it is so well cared for it feels new and staying there carries me back in time. I have stayed here many times over the last twenty years and it always makes me happy.
The motel is great. Very clean and the rooms are big. It is also very quiet. There is ample parking, and for those with disabilities, they do have Handicapped Accessible rooms. They provide shower chairs, and doors are wide enough for wheel chairs. The rooms are always clean.
Single story strip of units w/ quaint architecture and formal furniture. We asked of a quiet unit away from traffic and we received an upgraded room w/ jaccuzi tub as far from the street as possible. It was an enormous room, full of furniture that we quickly re-arranged to create a TV and dining room. An older building w/ furniture to match, but there is nothing wrong w/ that. Location is great, just blocks away (and an easy walk) from the city center of a beautify city, full of elegance and history. We'd been on the road for over two weeks, and the location and the rooms really stood out for us.
Always clean and well maintained. I have been staying here for over 20 years and have been very happy with the Baugh. They have a beautiful little park where we have enjoyed picnic lunches and family gatherings.
Great motel with really friendly staff! Not a modern motel but I enjoyed my experience there immensely. It is walking distance to several restaurants and downtown. Two tips- 1. on the first night our room had a suspicious odor that we noticed as soon as we walked in. I assumed it was just because it was an older motel but it resulted in very little sleep for my husband and I that night. The staff changed our room for the remainder of our stay and it was perfect after that. Lesson learned-don't ignore that type of thing. 2. You can request free guest passes for the city Rec center, which is located behind the motel. I did not see this on the website so did not bring my workout clothes. So, if you like to workout while traveling, you can do so while staying at the Baugh.
Our room was the best one out of 5 on our 10 day trip!! It was very spacious, updated, clean, and comfortable! We also had a great view of the Sat. morning parade in the downpour as the participants raced by! We would highly recommend this motel!!
The Baugh Motel had a large, clean room with a very large bathroom. The office was clean and the staff was very friendly! The breakfast was great with a lot of variety. I would definitely stay here again!
One of the nicest motels we have stayed in. Very convenient to find, walk to gym and restaurants and to get in and out of our car with luggage. Breakfast was a plus and good enough to get us started with our day. Would definitely stay here again.
We'd been away from home for 8 days and not looking forward to another night away in a questionably clean room with a hyper-alert dog, a small room and noisy neighbors. Our concerns were completely unfounded. This is a beautiful complex. It is very clean, quiet, comfortable and has an amazing outdoor area for a pet to run safely to tire them out for a great night's sleep.
Hotels in the area are pretty pricey and this was mid range. For what I paid, it was a really good deal. Pool was out, but that was just the time of the year. Jacuzzi could of been a little hotter. Breakfast made up for it.
Motel room are very roomy, clean & quaint. The king size bed was so comfortable as were the pillows. Very clean. Close to downtown. Walking distance to a very nice restaurant. I would stay there again.
Great value, nice and clean rooms. Large rooms and comfortable beds. I loved all the nice pillows! The staff were pleasant and the room was quiet. I would certainly stay here again. The overall grounds are well taken care of.
Nice room cute property. Took 30 minutes to get on WiFi they use a third party each device must add WiFi address. At 9am house keeping knocks on door waits about 5 seconds then comes in. (Don't expect to sleep in) They want you up and out.
Another great stay at Baugh Motel, just south of downtown Logan Utah. This visit was to move our daughter into the dorms at Utah State. The motel is clean, friendly, and very functional. We'll be back here every time we visit our Aggie!
When I was a kid, the Baugh Motel was where the affluent stayed while in Cache Valley. It was the nicest motel in town and all these years later, I decided to try it while visiting with my family. We reserved the two-bedroom suite. (There is only one, more about that later). My grandson loved the pool and with a hot tub and wading pool, it was perfect! (Pool towels plentiful as well) The beds and linens were comfortable, the rooms clean and I appreciated the toiletries included. It feels a little dated compared to the Hilton and Marriott properties, but they do include a full breakfast. The rooms could use new duvet covers and some updated furniture and fixtures. (Note: The water pressure was great and the soft-water shower was lovely). The only two-bedroom suite is right on the main street and in the front bedroom we listened to road noise most of the night. It would have been better for the four of us to stay in adjoining rooms at the back of the property off the street. The shared bathroom in the suite was quite small as well. However, the staff was very helpful and they obviously strive to run a clean, comfortable establishment.
Front desk staff was lovely. Mattresses were terrible. Room was cramped with two double beds and two oversized chairs, and very dark unless you left the drapes open (not feasible on a ground floor room that opens to the outside). Bathroom was very clean and functional, room was clean enough. Breakfast was sparse- but maybe that's to be expected. I didn't use the pool. The workout facility is the local rec center which was just passable- lots of old circuit training equipment and cardio in a basement that smelled weird.
We stayed two nights opting to drive straight here from SLC to relax after long transatlantic flight. Excellent value for money. Pleasant and helpful staff. Fantastic breakfast. Pool area very nice. We will be back!
From check in to check out, everything was perfect a this wonderful motel. The grounds are beautiful; well maintained with lots of trees, grass and a nice picnic area. There is a beautiful pool area. There are a couple of buildings with two stories and no elevator, but there are sections that are one story. You park in front of your room and there are chairs outside of most rooms. The location is within walking distance to town and plenty of restaurants. The customer service is wonderful …. a special thank you to Ty who was just the best. The breakfast was great; eggs, sausage and French toast as well as other items. We had a standard king room which was large with a desk, microwave and refrigerator. There was a table and two very comfortable sitting chairs. The bathroom was a little small but worked out just fine. The room was beautifully furnished, very clean and the bed was comfortable. We had a great stay at the Baugh Motel and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Logan area.
Very friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, beautiful pool and very quiet. The front desk staff was very helpful with good suggestions. The breakfast was excellent with many options. It is also located near very good restaurants.
Great place, amazing staff. Modernized vintage style hotel. Clean room with microwave, fridge, eyc. Passes to huge fitness club half block away. Good food choices nearby. Breakfast included hot items and was pretty good.
Such a charming facility. Old growth trees provide a lot of shade. Very large pool, and grounds are well kept. Housekeeping is very thorough. Directly across the street from restaurants, and a short walk to downtown museum and Tabernacle. This is our 3rd time in 44 years staying here, so there is a lot of sentiment here.
My hubby got points for this one. We much prefer a more personalized experience than the âcookie cutterâ hotels. This was the way every place should be! Upon arrival we were greeted with warm cookies right out of the oven. Easy, quick check in that got us right in our room with WIFI and all amenities of a large chain. They truly thought of everything for comfort and practicality. We had been several places where we needed extra towels, a heavier blanket, more cups, assorted coffee please and clean. Baugh Motel- you got this!! We had everything and then some! Beautiful property with private pool. We met a lady that had stayed at a chain for the last few years and decided to try this and was beside herself with wasted opportunities! Breakfast room wonderful and friendly, professional staff! Reminds me of childhood when staying at Motels was such a pleasant, quaint experience. Great location and easy walking to many things. We are traveling on but asked my hubby if we could take the motel!ð
This property is a hidden gem in Logan, Utah. The grounds are lovely and the mature landscaping adds a special touch. The room was larger than your usual hotel and layed out nicely, good amenities in the room too. Nice breakfast room and good coffee. Staff is very friendly and they welcome your dogs.
Been staying here for over 20 years. we have tried some of the new hotels but Baugh is home away from home. My family lives in the area so we visit regularly. When it's getting late my wife says "let's go home." That's what the Baugh is to us.
I travel the state of Utah for my work and when I'm in Logan this is my place of refuge. I love the feel of the room which allows me relax. I book a King bed in a suite and it's VERY spacious. The rest room is huge and a separate sink facility between the bath and bedroom so my dear wife and I can both get ready without stepping on each others space. The location is PERFECT! Everything you need is within walking distance. Breakfast is really good and the cook is very nice and friendly. I HIGHLY recommend this to you!
We escaped for a night to a room with a jetted tub. The room was inviting, clean, and nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable. It was quiet even though it was a Saturday night. The scrambled eggs at breakfast the next morning were fabulous. We will stay there again soon.
This is the first time we have stayed at Baugh Motel and it was wonderful. From check in to check out, the stay was great. The room was always clean, everything worked well, and the beds were super comfortable. We asked for a handicapped accessible room, and our room was just that. Had the shower bars, and bars in the bathroom and the doors were wide enough for a wheel chair.
I must admit, I don't hold motels in high esteem. A few decades ago in small rural communities they were the only option - and many were bad! So we have tended to avoid them as a rule. Based on TA reviews we decided to take a chance on the BW Baugh, and are very happy with our choice for this 3 night stay. We did find that Expedia had better pricing than the best rate guarantee on the Best Western website. This is actually quite a large place, with 75 rooms distributed between 5 buildings, plus a pool and hotub, all on a spacious property centrally located in Logan. So central it's within easy walking distance to several good restaurants and the downtown. Our room was a spacious 2nd floor unit with a very comfortable king bed, and included a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, flat-screen tv, and iron/ironing board. The wifi was full strength and probably the fastest we have experienced in a hotel (although the place was not full in the off-season so that may change at peak times). The breakfast had a somewhat limited assortment, but always had a couple hot items, juices, coffee, cold cereals, breads and bagels, fruit and yoghurt. While the interior of the room was dated (the bathroom tiles and fixtures are originals and are now old enough to be retro and chic!) it was extremely well maintained and clean. The tub shower was equipped with a telephone shower head and had almost instant hot water. While the bathroom had no fan, the window opened. Checkin was very quick, and all staff we encountered (reception, cleaners and breakfast room) were very pleasant. We did experience a bit of noise courtesy of our neighbors coming and going, but that is beyond the control of management. All in all this was a great find, and based on this experience we would happily recommend to others and expect to return ourselves.
Very happy with Baugh Motel. We stayed just one night, after a campus tour of Utah State Room was older in style but clean and functional. Great value for the money! We will be back to visit our Aggie girl!
This is a great place to stay if you are in a budget and want to stay centrally in Logan. Breakfast is included and there is lots of parking. Great pool area and rooms are big! My photos are from room 100. King bed with jacuzzi tub. Very nice for the price.
Great place. Rooms were very roomy. Very clean. We were in the oldest wings. The bathrooms had lots of space. Classic tile work. Felt like a Swedish spa. Beds were excellent. Slept so well, we missed the complementary breakfast.
This hotel is very well taken care of, clean, friendly staff and excellent value for money. Rooms do appear dated, but all furnishings are in excellent condition and newer modern furnishings would spoil the charm. Would recommend to stay here and would definitely return.
We love this place! We stay here everytime we visit Logan. Reasonably priced with an upscale feel. Clean rooms and clean bathrooms. Breakfast on the lighter side which we prefer. Located on main street so close to food and entertainment!
The room wasn't as clean as it should've been. There is no exhaust in the bathroom, which causes the towels to stink. The coffee maker was dirty. I prepaid for a king room based on a lie. I never stayed in the king room. My daughter and I stayed in the same double bed room the whole time. The motel kept my money. I'm currently fighting the motel via my bank. They wouldn't give me my receipts right away. These people have doctored paperwork. They produced a receipt that contradicts my bank account. Do not stay at this motel ever. When I checked out, the manager was nasty to me.
I stayed here on a trip to Logan, UT last week., stayed 4 nights. This place was recommended by a local. It was a quaint little place with a lot of the original charm. Room was very quiet and furnishings were adequate for me. The breakfast was very good each morning and the grounds were beautiful. My only complaint would be that the mattress was way too firm for me as I am used to a very comfy one at home. The staff at the front desk were very courteous and efficient. Check in and check out was a breeze. If you are looing for a quaint, older place with tons of charm, this is the place to stay while in Logan.
this is the best hotel...not fancy but super clean and attentive.I would stay here over and over and over. It was a great experience and far cheaper than other hotels in the area. Bravo Surestay well done.
We paid extra for a larger-than-normal sized room. We were given the top floor room in the corner of the building. There was body hair all over the place - debris, elastics, paper - the mirror was dirty and smudged - the whole place needed a thorough cleaning and vacuuming. We paid almost $200 for one night here. It was a total waste. I'm not sure if all the rooms are this dirty but I'd avoid the place.
Really enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Convenient for all of Logan attractions. Clean spacious rooms. Decent breakfast. Lovely, large pool and tub area. Will visit again! We stayed in the single storey rooms at the front. Car outside door.
Whenever we are in Logan, we stay at Best Western Baugh. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, beautifully appointed and OH MY the beds....SOOOOO COMFY. The complimentary hot breakfast in the morning is M-M-Marvelous!! Staff members are polite, friendly and professional. The property is perfectly located to any thing you want to do in the Logan area. You won't find anything better. Annie H . Las Vegas , NV
This is an older property, but it was super clean. The bed and linens were comfortable, and they have a refreshing outdoor pool. Check-in and out was quick and easy, and the staff was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast is a bit lacking, and the coffee was weak, but with the money I saved, I grabbed a quick coffee at Starbuck's (just down he street). I've stayed in two other places in Logan and both were substantially more money. Baugh is a bargain, and I would definitely stay there again.
We stayed one night on route from SLC to Idaho. Just off the main street but we didn't notice the traffic noise at all. Check in was quick and easy. Mature trees on the site gave a rural feel. The room itself was very spacious, spotlessly clean. There was a fridge and a microwave. We were able to park right by the door. The breakfast was very good with hot and cold choices. I would definitely stay here again.
Charming, well-maintained mom and pop motel right off main street but very quiet. Lovely pool, kiddie pool, and hot tub. Big mature trees surrounding the property including a fantastic slice of heaven behind the hotel with a big grassy area and stream. Rooms are small but you feel like you are staying at grandma's house and it's very clean. We stay in Logan every year for a weekend and this is our new go-to spot. Forget any of the other big chains!
Very clean room, quiet peaceful, park like grounds with pool, hot tub, and kiddie pool. Free breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage, variety of breads, cereal, coffee, and juice. Within walking distance to restaurants and shopping.
Older, but very comfortable hotel in immaculate condition. Terrific beds, not a mark on the furniture, plaster, wall paper everything is flawless. Obviously enormous effort goes into its maintenance. Bravo!
Plush rooms: thicker carpet, large and comfy lounge chairs, good bed. Seems to have been recently renovated and they did a good job at it. Breakfast room a bit small but lots of space in the room to eat breakfast, which many did. Nice grounds and well located, right downtown.
My wife and I stayed here for a few nights as a get-a-way and really enjoyed it. Staff was very professional and nice. The breakfast was better than the typical continental you get at other hotels. Bed and room were a little dated but in ok condition. Best thing we enjoyed was the sitting area out back next to a small creek and large trees: just beautiful.
Although the staff was incredible, the rooms need better cleanliness, a decor remodel and new sheets. It is conveniently located and is very quaint. Some of the decor has been updated, though not recently. Some of the decor must be original to the hotel, which adds to its charm.
Very nice motel if you do not have a disability. If you do look somewhere else. there is no common areas that are accessible to people in wheelchairs. No showers for people in wheelchairs and they use portable ramps that people park in front of instead handicapped parking. There is no handicap parking at all. No wheelchair access to breakfast so plan on eating breakfast at a restaurant because you can't get in.
although our room was furnished with some beautiful pieces (dresser, table, etc.) and the tile work reflected the age of the motel (1920s?), our room was not clean and the carpet and linens needed updating. We had two double beds. The other two family members in our party who had king rooms were very satisfied with theirs
Arrived at 10:00 pm and had to wait 10+ minutes for a clerk Room was nice sized and clean. Small bathroom. Problem with connecting to free WiFi. Beds were soft. Very quiet Breakfast was freshly made eggs, bacon, and pancakes.
