We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is minimalist modern, and pristine throughout. The beds are huge and comfortable, the bathrooms very smart. The air conditioning is quiet and effective. Superb breakfast-I wish we could have kept the orange juicer! Very helpful reception and other staff. Plentiful car parking. A short taxi journey to the stunning centre of Lecce cost us around 15 Euros. Recommended without hesitation.
Nice hotel with spacious rooms. The breakfast was nice and the parking was free. The location serves as base to explore Puglia and Salentina. The bar near the reception wasn't very vivid and a bit expensive although the quality of the spirits was poor.
The hotel was new and rooms very modern. The staff at the front counter were not very lively, however, the breakfast and room staff were all very nice and helpful. Although the hotel is a short drive to the main part of Lecce, there isn't much to do around the hotel itself. The hotel definitely needs more facilities like a pool, gym or restaurant, especially since there is a lot of space for it. Breakfast was nice and provided a great variety of foods.
As others reviewers have already said, this is a surprisingly great property: the hotel is pristine, the rooms are large and comfortable, the bed extremely comfortable, the staff accommodating, and we never heard a thing from any other room (we were on the 4th floor). Excellent air conditioning and a fine breakfast at a reasonable rate. Our first stay was so good that we added a second unplanned stay later during our holiday. We ate one night at the hotel's recommended restaurant down the road, when we didn't feel like venturing further out. The pizza was good enough and the restaurant employees very helpful and friendly. It's a place that draws local families with small children for celebrations. The restaurant also offers hotel guests 10 percent off, a nice perk. The hotel is 100-percent smoke free, and takes that policy seriously. Hooray. You'll need a car to stay here. Lecce--even outside of the old town--is hard to drive in (lots of traffic controlled streets), so do get driving directions to the parking lots outside the old town. You can drive to the sea (San Catoldo) from the hotel in about 15- 20 minutes. As others have said already, a pool would make this hotel just amazing.
Very large clean rooms, Great service, free parking, excellent breakfast. Great location to serve as base to explore lower 1/3 of Puglia if you have a car. It would have been perfect,If this hotel had a gym or pool to unwind in after a long day of exploration.
It's a beautiful, modern and clean hotel. You should stay there to visit the best places at Puglia because it's around 60' from almost everywhere that matters at this region. They also are close to a very good restaurante (walking distance) and 4 to 5 minutes to a commercial center where you can find a hypermarket, pharmacy, and almost everything you need.
A very modern place with warm atmosphere. It isn´t in the centre , so it is good if you drive to get to the city centre. The service was professional and staff helpful. The interior of the rooms was perfect and clean. Ifeel very satisfied.
Even though I've been to many great hotels, this hotel goes the extra extra-mile to make your stay a special memory. The staff make this hotel really stand out. The rooms are modern, spacious and kept immaculate. The food was excellent, breakfast had a wide variety of hot and cold food, sweet and savory, and plenty of fresh fruit. The staff at this hotel are truly exceptional, very attentive and nothing is too much trouble. Special thanks to the front desk manager Chiara was was wonderfully friendly, helpful and professional. Outstanding!
My wife and I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and we are completely disappointed and would not recommend this property. We arrived here after a long 8 hour drive and were stressed out over GPS problems in trying to find this hotel due to lack of an accurate address. We finally had to ask at a pharmacy. We found the registration process onerous and were surprised when they wanted us to pay for the 4 nights in advance. That is very irregular. The tap water in the rooms is not at all cold or even cool and has an unpleasant taste. Yesterday our air conditioner quit and we had to pack everything up and move to a different room. Today there was a failure of the A/C system throughout the hotel. One day our room was not cleaned at all, despite having left a sign on the doorknob requesting maid service. We did not care for the buffet breakfast and believe that the extremely watery scrambled eggs caused my wife and I to have diarrhea. I believe that because we both ate the scrambled eggs on the first day and had diarrhea a few hours later. The next day only my wife ate the eggs and only she had diarrhea. On the third day neither of us ate the eggs and neither of us had digestive problems. The controls on the shower are difficult to operate and care must be taken to avoid being scalded when first turning on the water. This hotel has no restaurant on site, but it does refer people to a Pizzeria about a 10 minute walk away. However, this place does not open before 8 PM. On the plus side, we did find the rooms spacious and the bed mattresses comfortable.
Came to the hotel with a group. Front office staff were very friendly and help with everything though some of them speak very little English. Room is very clean and nicely decorated. Bathroom is clean and had a shower with jets. Breakfast is buffet with many options. Will recommend this hotel to my friends
Arrived on Thursday 19-01-2017 evening. - Switching rooms from the 2nd floor to the 4th floor wasn't a problem. Because we arrived with 3 persons. - Breakfast room was just great. Good food, fresh fruit, good seats and the table nice(good height). - My room was clean(every day) and easy to access. Bathroom was very style-full. clean towels, big shower head. = Only the window(for a view) was dirty. I could not make any clear pictures from the scenery. - Hospitality is a big big plus, very friendly and kind employees. Willing to make you feel real comfortable during your staying. - Dinner was very good, especially to me because i do not eat meat. Every day the restaurant had vegetarian dishes, even the waiters were asking me if they Chef could make me a vegetarian dish, when i didn't liked to other available dishes(Fantastico). - Environment was nice, but nothing to do for the guests.
This is our first hotel of the Puglia fly & drive roundtrip in September. The hotel is situated outside Lecce and the GPS cannot track this hotel, because this hotel has no street name. So, the last few kilometers we switched on Google Maps and search the hotel name. The rooms are quite spacious, the staff friendly as you would expect in these types of hotels. There is a hotel bar that is open 24 hours, but no restaurant. There are a few in the neighbourhood.
Modern building with ample parking outside the hotel. Good value for money. Location outside the city of Lecce but not too far to still explore. 10% discount at the next door restaurant. Very friendly and competent staff! Clean, quiet spacious rooms!
We stayed here for 2 nights during a 3 week tour in Italy. It proved to be excellent value for money. It was difficult to find but was modern and spotlessly clean and had one of the best showers I have ever used with jets from the wall as well as overhead. It was a little way out of Lecce but during the day used the shuttle bus to get in. The staff were exceptionally friendly and breakfast excellent.
Location: a short drive to Lecce; a short walk to a restaurant; quiet, away from city Parking: large, free on-site parking Breakfast: quite good-fruits, croissants, American coffee Front desk staff: pleasant & helpful Wifi: good; free Room: nice, clean, comfortable; mini-fridge. Would've nice to have complimentary water & kettle Overall: recommended
It's located on the outskirts of the city so it's suitable if you drive. It's only 10 minutes from city center by car. Modern building with nice modern rooms. The staff is nice and helpful. Ample parking. Breakfast is excellent, nice selection and good presentation.
Out of town a bit but plenty of parking and a very modern, sparkling clean hotel! But the wi-fi was a bit of a problem to get on. Three (3) clerks spent a good deal of time trying to get me on their system. One finally succeeded just before I eft in the morning. I had not had such a problem in any other Best Western, or any Italian hotel. They might want to check their system.
I visited this place as a guest of a birthday party. I was impressed by overall professional service. What surprised me most was a tiny finger food that re-interpreted a traditional rural dish: "fave e cicorie" (fava beans and chicory): 2 inch round salty biscuit with a fava bean cream topped by a green hemisphere of chicory gelatin.
My wife and I had two unplanned days to spend in the Lecce area and called the Best Western (locally called Leone di Messapia) and they had a room. The place is lovely, quite clean and new. The room is very comfortable and completely satisfactory. The hotel is a little bit "out of town" but the hotel does provide transportation (3 euros one way, 5 euros round trip) to the Centro Historico of Lecce. There is plenty of parking similar to what you have in the US. There is an associated restaurant within 300 meters (not great with metric but an easy 5 minute walk) from the hotel that is a huge (and I mean huge) converted farm structure. The food was fine, the menu was varied and long and the prices quite reasonable. You probably want to brush up on your Italian culinary phrases before you go. I recommend it more for convenience than gastronomic excellence. Unless you know the area very well, do plan on using a Garmin or something similar. On balance, it's a pretty good place and I felt a good value. Good free breakfast (typical of higher end Italian hotels), free parking, free WiFi and a friendly staff.
This is a nice hotel, accommodation and prices are very good. It is a modern hotel, very clean, and excellent value for your money. Good breakfast, with fresh fruit although the ham a bit old.. The staff is very nice, helpful and willing to help. Our first day was nice, but when we went for breakfast, (we were five) the person we talked to wasn't willing to put two tables together or to sit us on a round, bigger one. Once we went to the reception and asked if there was any trouble in doing this, it was arranged and the next day they put us together on the big table. Parking is available, and you can take a shuttle to the city. We got lost because GPS doesn't recognize the place.. But even with that minus, we did find the hotel and enjoyed it.
10 min car ride from town! Large comfortable rooms with free wifi that works well. Breaksfast included (asked for espresso or cappuccino, yogurt and fresh fruits) good service! Nice bar with good local wines and good prices.
Hotel is outside the town of Cavallini.....I had trouble finding it....nearby gas station counter staff confirmed they get a lot of frustrated drivers who cannot find this place.....hotel staff additionally confirmed clients have difficulty finding it....car GPS couldn't find it, iPhone map couldn't find it, and I couldn't find it.....Italy doesn't have attention-grabbing signs, or American-style lit-up hotel signage, so trouble finding hotels was a recurring theme for me......finally found it looking up at building and saw painted name on side of hotel (not lit, just painted name)....it's down the street away from gas station and hang a right (look up, you'll see the tall hotel and its signage). I had not been looking up. This was a great hotel: very welcoming Staff, very nice large room, good free wi-fi, modern good a/c - thermostat control, openable large windows if you prefer, big shower enclosure (you can spread your elbows and not hit the walls), good b-fast for all nationalities (in huge banquet-type hall), adequate English-speaking staff, large free parking lot on site, and it's next to main boulevards and highways for easy access. I traveled into town next morning (had actually been there 3x the night before, trying to find the darned hotel) -- very nice town, enjoyed learning about Cavallini's Messapian origins....a nice mansion off the square where town's 1700s Spanish ruling family once resided, containing still-extant frescoes....the friendly grounds staff opened up rooms for me to tour....ended up really liking the hotel and the town of Cavallini, despite frustrating experience finding hotel.
Excellent value for money, as standards were those of far more expensive hotels we have stayed in. Very comfortable, well-appointed room and shower-room. A good and varied breakfast, which would have been perfect if the ham and cheese had been better quality. We would definitely stay there again. You would need a car to get into Lecce.
