Best Western Hotel Garden & Spa

We had a smartbox present with spa and romantic dinner included... The hotel personnel was very nice and helpful, but the room we received was tiny, nothing special about it. The extra room we booked for my mother and daughter did not have the breakfast included, which was a bit of a bummer, taking in consideration the price... We were told the beach is close by, 5 minutes away and after we were directed towards the main street with shops and restaurants we walked about 25 minutes... The spa was less than what we were hoping for: A jacuzzi, two different sauna and something like a big bathtub for a pool. We were allowed only one hour, but in this time other couples were there, so we had to wait to use the shower or one of the spa places. No massage available or other services. The dinner took place in something like a fancy restaurant in the center of the town, but the food (the menu reserved for the deal we had) was not fine at all, we turned sick and with the stomach running after this dinner. Besides the restaurant was very busy and noisy and there was nothing romantic about it... The breakfast was fine, but the pancakes and pastry were not fresh, so the french breakfast was a bit of a let down. We left the rooms before check out time at 12.00, at 10 in the morning. I kept one key in case i wanted to come back from the beach for a shower and return the key at 12.00, as agreed and I informed the desk person. Even though my husband was there to return the key at 12, we were already (!) extra charged, because they assumed we left with the key... They agreed to refund but it will take around 3 days to one week. So there were ups and downs with this deal and the hotel stay... Thanks the weather and beautiful ocean site that we were left with a good feeling and we might come back, but surely for a better deal when it comes to accommodation.

It was our children who offered us this little hotel, very warm welcome, the staff was really very good, quick check in, beautiful modern and well equipped room, low prices, the breakfast was excellent, very good coffee, good bread, there was sweet and savory, fast service, we also liked this hotel for its calm and very well located in relation to the accommodation of our children, we had not used our car and it was really nice

We spent few lovely days here, friendly staff, good choice for breakfast, very small bedroom but clean and modern. Not far to the beach. L' accueil très sympa. Les chambres sont très petites mais propre.

The inside was being repainted and most of it looked well presented. There is a feel of a small family business rather than the usual Western feel as in corporate hotel feel. My room was really small, could not swing a cat. Shower room small but clean. No curtain or shower door. I did not work out how not to flood the place while taking a shower. Breakfast was fairly good and plenty of choices. Outside, there seems to be 4 or 5 parking spaces for the whole hotel. So good luck if you get there by car. Town centre is nearby. I think this is the most appealing thing about the place. Would not go back.

We were there for two nights hoping to find calm and rest and that's what we got. Terrace onto the garden. 10 mins from the beach and high street. Fresh air! The staff was friendly and breakfast was nice, I particularly liked the hand made jam! Fantastic market as well for the seafood lovers.

We were on a bike trip last October and were really pleased about this place. The room was beautiful and the spa was really great. Even the breakfast was pleasant. And because it was out of the touristic season it was really inexpensive.

We booked this hotel as it was one of the closest to the aerodrome and had a very nice surprise. Access to a basic but relaxing and welcome spa included in the price and also cycle hire on site. Only a short stroll into town. The receptionists were friendly and helpful and the room comfortable

Not great but good. Rooms are small, but the terrace outside is great (especially rooms 115/116 which has largest) Breakfast is very nice comparing the normal level in France. Staff is very friendly and really takes care of you and keeps the rooms in good order. And they speak English also, so that´s a plus Location, well 10minutes from Aveneu de gaulle and train stations. Same to the beach. and the Spa is quite good. Hammam, small swimming pool and jacuzzi. Didn´t try the treatments. No parking lots. Or there is six in front of the hotel, but that´s all

The rooms are very small, there is no hotel or mini bar but the hotel was very clean (what is not evident in a 3 star in France). The breakfast is not the best but I've seen much worse in France which has not the biggest brekafast tradition. It's ok for a stay of 1-2 days for a business trip but I would not stay a whole week there. The staff was very friendly

We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights with friends for a golfing holiday. We felt the rooms were not adequate for this length of stay as were on the small side and not enough storage space. Bathroom and toilet facilities were fine. The tea and coffee facilities were poor as paper cups were small and unacceptable, most days we had to ask reception for replacements as this had not been done when the room was serviced. Although they state parking is limited it was still difficult to find a parking space elsewhere. Staff were very helpful and breakfast choice was good. Would not stay in a Best Western again if this is their standard.

Small, a bit out of the way (which is good - La Baule can be hectic!) and well-run. We had a very pleasant night here. Smart, pristine family room with fabulous shower room. Slept very well, nice bedlinen, altogether a very satisfactory experience for weary travellers. You can be confident in this hotel.

The rooms are small but location is pretty decent within walking distance from the train station. the hotel has a nice garden in the back and great breakfast. Only complaint was the unreliable wifi network which seems to fail a lot during our stay, but it could be due to the large number of people using it at the same time.
