Our stay at best western was, comfortable, the hotel was clean, the staff was accommodating. There was a clean fitness center, pool and hot tub, a laundry room. It was pet friendly and the breakfast was great!

First a special chapter for the Staff. Randi, I was checked in by a kind young person who knows how to do his job very well. Nick, showed Utah hospitality with great pride. Daniel, taking care of breakfast, thank you for taking care of me and my husband so well. The hotel is wonderful The external appearance is very well cared and clean. The room was very clean, everything worked. Great shower. Comfortable beds. Very quiet and safe. The wonderful breakfast, many quality items, a wonderful coffee machine. Pool and hot tub clean and working perfectly. Hotel very close to Zion National Park. When I'm in the area this is my place. Thank you to all the hotel staff (we stayed three nights). Thanks again everyone. ​

Have visited this hotel multiple times. Rooms are spacious, well appointed, and very clean. You are under 30 minutes from Zion, I simply cannot imagine paying those absurdly high prices to stay closer to the park. Outdoor heated pool, good breakfast, friendly staff, plenty of parking, and the room rates are very, very fair. Will continue to return.

This stop is on our way between Arizona and Washington. I have been here multiple times and pretty much enjoy the stop. There is a gas station next door and a couple of restaurants within a mile or so. Breakfast was almost an hour late, which makes it difficult to wait when you need to hit the road.

Great stay very clean new high-quality shower products wonderful towels, great TV bedroom was extremely clean. Did not know they except the dogs. Some dogs were barking throughout the night. Not sure if I am real. Happy about that. Otherwise Highly recommended.

Just love best western. the staff is always friendly and very helpful. a good start to the day is breakfast. The breakfast are always flavorful and warm. very filling with something for everyone. the rooms are always clean. I just love best western!!!

We are very disappointed with the customer service received. Upon arrival on September 14th, they checked us in, charging our accommodation and breakfast for the night. Although they could not give us a receipt, we showed them the bank charge confirming everything was paid. They agreed. Later that night, we received several attempts to charge our room again on two of our cards until one was blocked. The day after, after checking out, we received a second charge for our accommodation and breakfast. At that moment, we reached out to them to clarify what was going on, and they told us only a pre-authorization and that the bank would refund within 2-5 working days. A week after our checkout, we are still trying to sort this unpleasant situation out. The front-desk staff can not provide a different response, and the manager is avoiding getting in touch with us, while the bank is saying it's only a withheld movement that will be released on the 24th. At this point, we have no hope, and we certainly know that the hotel will not do anything to fix it; they are waiting for the release date, although we are requesting a solution with daily phone calls and emails. To sum up, it's an unbelievable service provided by Best Western. We will avoid returning to any of these hotels unconcerned about their customers.

Rooms were great, with the exception to a/c. Room was hot at night. A/C was not able to cool room at night. Please upgrade a/c equipment. Staff asked that we gradually cool room, which we did, but still not able to cool room for a comfortable sleep.

Excellent Location, Excellent service. Breakfast was fantastic. Cute Town. Front Desk was very courtesy and helpful with questions. We really enjoyed the area. Thank you for an enjoyable stay. We will definitely be back again soon.

DO NOT COME HERE! Booked this hotel 2 months ago and received plenty of confirmation emails and reminders. Showed up and was told I could not check in because I was 20 and according to Utah state law I needed to be 21. We did some googling and found that there was no such law but instead it was illegal to deny someone over 18 accommodations. We spoke with Nathan Rowley who proceeded to call a lady named Selena and a manager named Kumar Ram. First, he cited this made up law and then told us that it is simply something that they don't do. He gave no other reasoning or explanation beyond he does not allow people under 21 to check in at his hotel. The manager told Nathan to "get us away". They also did not want to offer us a refund or help in any other way. My partner and I were then forced to find other accommodations at the last minute at La Quinta on the other side of street. They were incredibly helpful and allowed us to have a room (I guess that law really wasn't real - huh!) I hope Best Western Headquarters does something about this age discrimination.

The hotel itself was in good shape. The room was in pretty good shape and the beds were ok but kind of hard. The pool and hot tub were having difficulties. The hot tub wasn't circulating at all and there was a sign on the door that stated it was not working. We assumed that the pool was working until we got in and realized that the pool wasn't circulating the water and didn't even smell a little like chlorine. The hotel was ok but wouldn't stay again.

Warm greeting. Helpful staff. Clean. Swimming pool and gym. Conveniently located to Zion National Park. Good breakfast variety. Quaint, fun town. I will return here again. Kids welcome. Very comfortable rooms.

Excellent rooms, breakfast was perfect and rooms were very clean! Location in relation to Zion National Park was perfect. Easy access to motel and overall layout of room was what I was looking for. No issues whatsoever!

Best Western was located between Zion National Park and local amenities and restaurants, which made an ideal spot. Easy to find and about 30 minutes from the local airport. Breakfast provided. Gas and groceries nearby. Very clean rooms with hot showers!

Air conditioner would not work thru the night. Couldn't regulate the water temperature of the shower. Shower curtain rod needed repair and painted as well as the blackout curtains needed repair. Floors were vinyl instead of carpet and were never swept.

Me and my partner stayed 2 nights Nick at the front desk was super friendly let us check in earlier then intended because my girlfriend has just worked an overnight and was exhausted. Super helpful gave us recommendations for food places since it was our first time going to Zion and being in the area we really appreciated it. Room was very clean. Only issue was the whirlpool tub in the room the jets haven't been cleaned and good thing we weren't in the tub when we ran them because nasty brown stuff came out when we did run them. We cleaned it and didn't say anything we understand. Breakfast was very good for being free the eggs were not so good but everything else was hot and very good.

My husband and I stayed here one night because it was so close to Zion National Park. It was very reasonably priced so we didn't know quite what to think when driving through La Verkin. We were pleasantly surprised by everything. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was very nice and the hotel was extremely clean. The breakfast was great with lots of options. What a well kept hotel and a great stay. We would definitely stay here again if ever back in this area.

Inside and outside of hotel was very clean. Staff was attentive, efficient, pleasant, and professional. Room was very nice and quiet. Bed was comfortable. Check in and check out was quick and easy. Would stay here again and plan to.

If you like cold showers, an HVAC system that doesn't work, a hard bed with lumpy pillows and an awesome tv that doesn't work, this is the place for you! We travel to the Zion Park area often as we are building a home in the area and this place so far ranks a distant last place. The staff was nice and trying but not quite performing. We won't be back to this “Worst Western Minus…

I booked a reservation through Bookings.com while on an extended trip through Utah. Upon arrival (9:45 pm) the desk clerk was no where to be found for over 5 minutes. When she arrived from the back I expressed my displeasure. She took offence and told me I had no right to treat her that way. I pressed the issue in a professional manner and she cancelled my reservation on the spot! I asked to speak to the manager, but she stated he was offsite and would not accommodate this request. Out of desperation I apologized, but she would not reverse the cancelation. I called Best Western Customer Service, they tried to call her and she would not take their call. Since it was a Saturday night we were stuck without a reservation in the area at a reasonable price, so had to cut our trip short and drive 6 hours home! Following up later, Best Western Corporate's response was that it was her word against mine and was not willing to help further. Needless to say, I was very disappointed.

The foyer looks impressive but then you get to your room and it's down hill from there. First up being a member you would hope for a room with a view… No not so lucky. The blind has a large rip in it and is taped up with some old tape. The pressure in the shower is next to nothing. The air conditioner doesn't work well and then linen does not feel clean. Do yourself a favour and stay at the neighbouring hotel

The room was very cluttered and I had difficulty opening our two suitcases. I don't think all the furniture was necessary. Wifi kept dropping out and didn't work by the pool. Receptionist disappeared when we needed pool towels. Breakfast was fine although there were no eggs. Beds comfortable, nice, spacious bathroom.

Staffs are friendly, breakfast is included which is a plus, eating area is neat and organized. Bed is comfy and sheets smells nice. We'll maintained hotel and price is affordable. I would stay here again.

Close to Zion for great price. Rooms are Clean, pool was nice. Breakfast was standard BW post pandemic. Gym could use some attention. Overall for the price/location it was a good stay. If in the area again I would come back.

We found a good deal on the hotel last minute so opted for the BW West location even though it is a 30 minute drive to the Zion National Park entrance. We let the front desk person know we were on our honeymoon but she chose to put us in a room that was falling apart. The handle to the door to the mini fridge came off in our hands when we tried to open it and we had to call and let them know so it wouldn't be charged to our incidentals. Breakfast was great and the staff person kept the breakfast stations pristine and fully stocked. Our main complaint was after we checked out, we called the front desk to ask about a Roku remote we left in the room. The front desk person (we assume the same woman who checked us in) was incredibly rude, dismissing our request to ask room service or check the room after the current guests checked out.

Hotel was wasn't old, but also wasn't new or fully updated. Room was quiet. Our kids enjoyed the outdoor pool. This hotel is pet friendly and is about 20 minutes from the entrance to Zion National Park. It is close to some good dining options in La Verkin. The breakfast offered scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, chef potatoes, cereal, make your own waffles, and coffee.

This is one nice hotel. The property is clean, quiet and the staff are very friendly. The rooms are large and clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling near La Verkin, UT on I-15. It is about 15-20 minutes off I-15 past Cedar City and well worth the drive. I will be staying here anytime I pass this area.

The overall property is beautiful and nicely situated for everything from restaurants to gas station to a coffee shop across the street. Easy to get into and out of. Check in was smooth, and we got a beautiful suite on the other side of the hotel on the bottom floor. It was quiet, comfortable, and everything worked EXCEPT THE TV in the bedroom. Could not get it to turn on. Didn't call room service because the TV in the main room did work. We were in Room 108. Also loved that it was convenient to the door for unloading and loading. EXCEPT the lock on the door didn't work. Front Desk told us the keycards didn't work most of the time... so that was a bit inconvenient since everyone used a rock to hold the door open and that noise did come through our room. Bed was wonderfully comfortable, and housekeeping very pleasant. I'd stay here again for sure. As long as I could get the same room.

From a location perspective, it's right in between Saint George and Mount Zion so that's ideal. The hotel felt like it could've been a little bit cleaner. The pillows aren't very comfortable. With with the exception of one person that I encountered on Wednesday afternoon at the front desk, the rest of them were extremely rude and you could barely say hi to them. The breakfast was more than sufficient, the pool and hot tub area was great, but I would consider this a best Western plus. I put it more along the lines of a best Western that's a little outdated.

Stayed four nights beginning of May. Room was good and very clean when we arrived but housekeeping was average and last day we arrived at 3pm and room was not done. Breakfast was ok and not too busy. Location very good, next door to gas station and supermarket and 25' to Zion Park Next time try La Quinta next door and newer

I was moved to 4 rooms due to maintenance issues including: poor plumbing, rooms safes not working, door dead bolt locks not working, etc. In each room the shades did not seem fully functioning correctly. Also the hot tub was not hot and both the hot tub did not seem very clean so I did not use it. The breakfast was ok, and most of the staff pleasant. But, dealing with the room issues was a challenge.

Unless your getting this hotel at a discounted price I would not stay there. If your expectations are a Best Western “Plus” find another location. Hotel needs a good cleaning and maintenance. We had a toilet plunger sitting next to our toilet….. somewhat worrisome.

Recently stayed for 6 nights. Wi-Fi was annoying due to each and every time we used a device you had to reenter the password. Tub faucet would not totally turn off plus the drain would not stay open to drain the shower. Alerted front desk to leaky faucet but no one fixed it. Never cleaned our room all week except putting up clean towels. Otherwise, motel was clean and quiet.

Nice affordable hotel right before the road leading up to Zion (about 20/25 min to get to Springdale). Tub was dripping all day/night but other than that we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was decent fair.

Stood at this hotel to visit Zion and Kolob National Parks. The hotel was 20 miles from each park and worth the value. We had the complementary breakfast each day, although the coffee machine broke for 2 of the 3 days, but there was a room coffee maker, so that was a good back-up. The hotel had a nearby supermarket, with a deli, so we could get chicken for dinner and a mac and cheese to microwave. Saved some $$'s then eating at a restaurant all nights. We really enjoyed the hotel's location and it wasn't too expensive for the drive into the parks.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel following a day of hiking in Zion. Rates were very reasonable. The woman at the front desk was very helpful and gave some great tips on restaurants to try nearby. It is a very clean hotel and we appreciated the hot tub after a long day of hiking.

I really loved this hotel. It was clean, comfortable with great service. A lot more affordable compared to staying in Springdale, yet close enough where it doesn't feel like a commute to Zion. Decent food options nearby. We stayed at the whirlpool room, which was definitely worth the extra money.

Very nice hotel. We have 2 dogs and they were very comfortable. They give a 8 paws up! They love the outdoor grounds and play area. As for my husband and me we enjoyed the room and the staff. We have stayed at this hotel several times and will be back.

The hotel is excellent in service and cleanliness, and the price is very reasonable. Overall it is a great value. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We will be happy to stay at the hotel again if we travel to this area again in the future.

Always a friendly staff , Immaculate property. get your day fueled in the spacious breakfast room ; mini waffles made to order , eggs sausage , and more . Hot tub , and well appointed rooms with windows that open to sunset or sunrise . Near local hiking trails walking distance to the best coffee and steak. 30 minutes to Zion and St George. I will stay again.

Excellent hotel and location. We stayed there 2 nights. It's 20 minutes drive from Zion National Park and was very convenient got us. The rooms were very clean and the staff was extremely courteous. They served good hot breakfast which was really great as we did not have to go around looking for breakfast places before heading to Zion. I would highly recommend this hotel!!! Great service, value for money!!!

This hotel was fine...clean, friendly and helpful desk staff, etc., but our staying here was admittedly an accident. I thought we'd booked the Best Western Plus Zion in Springdale, right near the entrance to Zion National Park. This is the Best Western Plus Zion WEST, about 20 miles further out in La Verkin. The upside is that restaurants are a little cheaper in La Verkin & Hurricane. The downside is that at both the beginning and end of the day, you'd rather be close to the park and have the views rather than travel back and forth. Breakfast was a little disappointing. It wasn't terrible, but a slight bit substandard for a continental breakfast at a motel. The offerings were what you'd expect, they just didn't taste as good as you'd expect.

It has a good location and a normal, hot breakfast, but the facility needs an upgrade. The temperature of the hot water is not warm enough, and the curtain is broken inside our rooms. There was only one receptionist behind the counter, and it took some time for them to fix a few problems.

BW Zion West is a nice hotel that provides all the necessary amenities. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Decor wasn't ultra-modern but wasn't dated either. I would stay here again, and also recommend it for those traveling to the area.

FD watching movies on cell phone. Cockroaches in bathroom. Card key reactivated without checking room occupancy or ID. Huge lack of security. Anyone could have found key cards and then given an key to any room they asked for.

Friendly, helpful staff. Great place for a stopover, best value along my route. Comfortable. Breakfast wasn't great for me but they had waffles, lots of high carb options. It was a good value for price & I'd stay there again.

We had a spacious king suite room with a whirlpool. For once, there was no issue with the whirlpool! The front desk was kind, but there were issues with doors and keys during our stay. One door was propped open due to it, which seems a bit unsafe. I was also unable to get into the fitness center without an escort. The room was fairly clean and the halls were okay. We traveled with a pet and were placed on the third floor, which was a pain.

The Best Western La Verkin is a good option for Zion. The rooms are a little small, but everything was in working order. It was much more affordable than Springdale, and is also strategically located for travel north (I-15), south (I-15) and east toward Kanab. The breakfast offerings are both hot and cold, with a variety of selections. I'd recommend it and would stay here again.

We had to stay over after a trip to Zion due to car trouble and were so grateful to get a booking at La Verkin just a walking distance from repair shop. The price was more than reasonable, and after a day of stressful standing along the roadside, and his hotel was a Godsend. Super nice and patient people. Rooms were very quiet and beds very comfortable. Only suggestion would be to refill breakfast items often.

Property is well maintained with decent but not great parking. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Beds are very clean and comfortable. Bathrooms good sized. Right on way to Zion (20 miles) and close to restaurants. Easy access to interstate and road to Zion. Away from the crowds there and better price. Staff previously was very nice and helpful. This time not as much. Breakfast was dreadful. Waffles pastries and cereal okay but the rest was awful. May be addressed but was not our experience. It's free but should be edible

Check in was very easy, an issue arose with the room and the staff took care of it immediately. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Pool area could use some TLC, but it was great to be able to soak in a hot tub after a day of hiking in Zion. We had to swing back by the hotel after we checked out to pick up a FedEx package and the staff was very pleasant about holding it for us until we got back. Definitely would recommend this hotel.

Went to Vegas to see ZZ Top and stayed at two hotels there. This Best Western was our favorite place. Good value, clean room, pleasant staff and better than both stays in Vegas. Nicer room, way less walking to get to room, and better value.

Rooms were clean, great value hotel. Breakfast was buffet style along with waffle griddle- very good. Just a few short miles from Zion National Park. Kelly at front desk was very pleasant and helpful. Stayed 3 nights no issues. Ate at River Rock and Stage Coach for dinner, local grocery store walking distance away.

Hotel was fine until there was no running water in the morning. Front desk did not pick up the phone despite several attempts. Once I went down to the front desk, staff was not very apologetic and told me that the issue had been fixed (even though I had checked 5 min prior and it was still not working). I was given an option to go back to my room and shower (granted I had already packed all my bags and gotten ready to the best of my ability) OR get 10% back for the inconvenience of not being able to shower, brush my teeth or wash my hands in the morning. This should've been handled better. Breakfast experience was poor as well. The staff member cleaning and stocking the breakfast area was extremely rude to multiple customers at several points while I was having breakfast. She even loudly laughed at and mockingly made fun of a customer for the whole room to hear. Truly disgusting and unprofessional behavior. As a more trivial note, there seemed to be an issue with the coffee machine, and my orange juice was extremely diluted with water. Bed was comfortable and the location was decently convenient to Zion and Hurricane. Free Tesla charger was also very convenient as an EV driver. Room was overpriced in my opinion, so having these issues when spending $200 for one night was unacceptable.

This hotel is overpriced for what you get. $180 weekdays with tax and it is 30 mins to Zion. Housekeeping does not come in daily but just to replace towels. The trash was left in 2 rooms we had and it smelled by 2nd day. They do not pull up beds or leave you new soap and shampoo etc. The tubs are pretty bad. The walls were no clean in the shower.. The breakfast is decent, like all the rest. I was really disappointed in the cost for what we got. We were on a road trip. 2 families and 5 hotels later this one was the highest priced with the worst service.

This hotel was exceptional clean and well kept. Just outside Zion National Park. Room 221 has a jacuzzi tub which was a great feature after touring the park. The staff was very helpful with dinner suggestions and provided handouts of near by restaurants.

Dirty laundry, dry cleaning hangers and trash left in room from previous guest. Child of hotel employee ran the halls. Security door left open with a large rock. I had to move it, complained and receptionist said “they shouldn't do that.” The security door before I moved the rock it was open while an active shooter was in the area. Next morning the rock was back. Meanwhile the front desk has a camera at every exit. After a complaint like this you'd think there would be a little extra monitoring. Won't be back.

Liked; new, comfortable beds and pillows, free breakfast, no pets allowed (which was a relief with no yapping animals or rude, self entitled owners). Very helpful staff, Good (free) breakfast options in a safely spaced dining area. Nice landscaping. The trams into the park stop in front of the hotel for the ride in if you cannot make it in before 7 AM (Sept was hot and busy) Not liked; soft water, It takes a lot more water to rinse off the soap when showering. Heavy and hard to open doors, The door closure mechanisms are so stiff and resistant that you might have to lean into them to open them. Watch your finger. Slamming toilet seats. In a new and nicely decorated operation it seems that the owners would have sprung for one of the self-lowering models that do not add to the noise of the hotel. Dining; Pizza and Noodle had great pizza and Spotted Dog Whiptail Grill

I didn't see the value in why I paid more for a “plus”. The best western we stayed at the night before was much better than this. There was a heavy odor throughout the entire 3rd floor for our entire 2 night stay that made me wonder what it was if you catch my drift. Elevator was unbearably hot but not a big deal since it's only for a short period. Room was good and reception was great.

Wanted to print something and printer has no ink. Fitness center was closed due to broken glass but no one was cleaning or fixing it, no housekeeping people were around. There was nothing to entice us back

After a long day of traveling I was very happy to find this reasonably priced hotel. Pros: Has a nice pool. Rooms and lobby of hotel were clean. We loved the whirlpool in the bedroom. The kids felt like they were in a hot tub. The room was huge!! There's two large convenience stores just across the street. Only 30 minutes to Zion National Park. Cons: Breakfast ends at 9. The laundry only takes quarters and there's no way to get cash or change on site and on top of that the dryer takes two times to dry one load so I had to hang everything up. Only one elevator for three floors.

Very disappointed… I want to point out that most employees were helpful as much as they could be and the point of this review is to give upper management a heads up that the BWP La Verkin standards are unacceptable. Embarrassing for many of their current employees as they seem well aware of the issues with this hotel. First off, don't stay here if you don't have to. The most recent good reviews would only be good because they got lucky to have their rooms cleaned properly with all amenities functioning. We spent 3 nights here this past week having made the reservation months ago. We got there late our first night early evening. Upon arrival, our room was not ready, we had to wait for the room to be cleaned. We realized in the lobby there were two other small groups waiting too. Finally, we get to our room, tv doesn't work. We report this to the front desk. The next day, we return after our long day, early evening, our room was not cleaned and tv still not fixed, and we noticed people sitting waiting for rooms again just as we were the previous night. We alerted the front desk about our room, and they apologized, brought us at least what we needed - in-room coffee and a few towels, we put garbage out in the hall. They said they had it noted about the tv and still waiting on someone to fix it. Again replay on our third night when we came back from our excursions, people waiting for their rooms in the lobby. One group was standing with their luggage upset as they had just got their keys to the room, went to it and said it hadn't been cleaned at all. We did get lucky as it appeared that someone had at least cleaned the bathroom although nothing else, so we asked for our usual in-room coffee and a few towels, not to mention the maintenance guy happened to be right there and he took care of our TV right away and apologized so at least kids got to watch nighttime TV on our last night. Ice machines didn't work, vending machines didn't work and hot tub wasn't hot. Bottom line, way too much money spent for the lack of services, and cleanliness. Step it up Best Western Plus!

This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. If we weren't so tired, we would've left. Where do I start? Puddles of water in lobby bathroom, no AC on 3rd floor hallway, with awful smoke/pot smell. Broken AC in room. Front desk said they couldn't fix it but offered to move us. Second room: broken shower, water damaged/peeling wall, no shower curtain liner, scratchy/hard linens. Gym is among guest rooms, so I was awakened to grunting and talking. Thought it was an amorous couple, but it was a heavy workout next door. Breakfast: gross! (And I'm not picky! My family laughs at the crap/conditions I would eat in). Cereal all over floor, batter slopped all over cabinets below waffle maker, undercooked sausage and potatoes (from looks of it.. I did not partake), not an employee in sight. Emptied out garbage cans separated from receptacles and just out in the dining room. I'm shocked there weren't roaches everywhere. They did a good job with professional photography, so don't be misled. I hope the owners steps up their game. At least one was onsight but mostly lingered and didn't seem engaged. How do I know? I stood behind him in line and he let me pass and said, “It's ok, I'm the owner, I can wait.” I am not one to make a scene so I didn't get into it with him. Hotel next door seems to be under same ownership. Run away! You've been warned.

This hotel is nice an clean , the drive to the park is beautiful. On you way there stop at the la Verkin look out , is a dirt road but is worthy, the views are fascinating. The only downside to the hotel was the breakfast we got there at 8 and was very little food left.

You arrive and the a dirty lobby is the first thing you notice. Then room we were given was a two queen beds. The linens were dirty and full of marks. It seemed to us that they were not changed. If you call the front desk you will face a rude manger. Unfortunately, we had to stay in that hotel since all the area hotels were full. The next day, I found another hotel and we left this terrible place.

Super dirty. I cleaned the food out of the couch and refrigerator before I took pictures. I also wiped down the spills and marks left on the desk and coffee table. The dust behind the nightstand was almost too much but everything else was booked so we were stuck. Mattress was comfy, pillows were awful, and you should only book for a quick stay when you won't be in the room much. Also, no one in the building wore masks despite all kinds of cute Best Western stickers everywhere promoting masks and social distancing.

Dirty rooms! We just picked this hotel as a cheaper alternative to easily get to Zion natl park in the morning. Luckily we're only staying one night because our room is a bit dirty and we weren't sure if it was cleaned. Mask mandate is "expected" but not enforced. Staff didn't wear masks at all. We found multiple hairs in our bed and used tissue in the bathroom. I hate being that person but we had to ask to switch rooms. Second room not much better...Definitely not doing a best western again.

Staying at the tail end of March. Signs all over the place asking guests to wear masks. I've met two front desk employees and three housekeeping staff so far - none of them are wearing masks. If they can't take this seriously, there's not much confidence that they take cleaning the rooms seriously.

The north west rooms are adjacent to a very noisy rumbling pool pump that vibrates the whole area and runs all night long. The hot tub was broken as well and front desk manager shrugged "nothing I can do". Avoid.

great place to stay and very friendly staff. would stay here again for sure. was very relaxing and made for a quiet stay. great surrounding area. and is close to zions with easy access there. very spasious and made it feel like i was at home

We had a very clean suite with a jetted tub in the master suite, loved the separation of the common room or guest room with the main. Stayed here whiles we wanted to go to Zion which was an easy and close drive to the park. Food and essentials all close all around.

Sheets were all balled up not soft. We had to move rooms do to the super noisy kids we were put next to in a semi empty hotel. The breakfast was very minimal almost gone by 8am it was offered 7-9a. Staff wasn't very friendly & was more concerned about finding Manila folders.

The room had a really bad odor to it and the ac and room seemed to be filled with mold. They also didn't have maintenance staff on site to fix the other issues. The staff was friendly and managed the issues as best as they could. The beds and location from Zion was the only saving grace of this hotel.

We were very pleased with this hotel in La Verkin, right outside of Zion National Park. It is obviously new. Everything is top notch. Our room was very clean and fresh. The receptionists were friendly and informative. The free breakfast was very good, too.

I'm not really one for writing reviews but i don't want anyone's trip to the beautiful Zion National Park to be ruined by staying here. The pictures and price are very deceiving for this place. Granted this is a best western and it was the only place around with a room available, but I stayed here one night couldn't sleep at all, the bed was hard as rocks, and the sheets have stains all over them, pillowcases were old and worn out. Thank goodness I brought my own. The bathroom shower curtain looks like it's never been wash or changed and has mold growing all over the bottom of it. The lady at the front desk was extremely nice when checking in. Needless to say, I won't ever be staying here again.

Rented 6 rooms. 3 were not cleaned. One had bugs that bit up my coworker. Tried to leave but they charge if you don't check out by noon. Zero accommodation for an awful experience. The Wyndham is nice.

Good room with spacious bathrooms and a fan! Always a plus. The room also included a mini-fridge, which I appreciate. Other amenities include free parking, AC, and wifi. The front desk staff was friendly and check-in/out was quick. Nearby fast food place and gas stations (driving distance). About 20 miles from Zion park. Good price and a good location!

First of all Maddie the front desk clerk was AWESOME and couldn't be more helpful! BUT, how does a room get rented out where the bathroom sink drains super slow, the front door deadbolt doesn't work, and then you pull down the comforter and you find Long hair after Long hair after Long hair on the clean sheets! Then at 9:30 pm the front desk clerk Maddie had to playing maid service, because the maid service person does wear a hairnet to control her long hair from falling onto the sheets! I Mentioned it to the manager the next day and it didn't phase him at ALL! Granted most of the items were repaired the next day, BUT HOW DOES A ROOM GET RENTED OUT IN THAT CONDITION-COVID OR NO COVID! There is NO EXCUSE REGARDLESS OF THE ENVIRONMENT WE FIND OURSELVES IN!! Kudos To Maddie!!

very convenient and close to Zion very nice and well priced, includes parking and pool (jacuzzi was closed) friendly staff the reason I gave it a 4 * for cleanliness is because I found an ice cream in the freezer and the 4* for the room is because whole mirror in the bathroom fell and broke in a million piece making such a huge noise thank goodness no one was there! otherwise we loved the hotel and booked 2 nights! beautiful modern decor!

Upon arrival, our room smelled HORRIBLE. Then when we opened drawers and the fridge there was trash inside. Maids can't clean your room during SFSU overs but they also I guess can't clean it properly after you leave. There were hand prints all over the window. So how well do they ACTUALLY clean? No one informed us we needed to come to the front desk for any needs since there are no stay over cleans during covid. So for two days I asked maids for things and they said okay and never even said anything about it or gave anything. Which would of been fine if someone would of just told me I needed to go to the front desk. The employees sit and smoke by the entrance and exit doors and glare at you as you walk by... as if you're inconvenient to them... even though we are the reason they even get a paycheck. Not only that, but when they are cleaning rooms they can't help control their nasty attitudes and have to blast vile words through out the hallways. We use to like this hotel and we stay a few times a year. This is the last time. I was thoroughly disappointed.

When I checked into the first room I had there was a blood soaked Kleenex that had been left in the tras . I took a picture of it and went to the front des . I was given a different room. The new room clearly hadn't been vacuumed well and there were toothpaste splatter all over the bathroom mirror. By this time I'm tired, so I just dealt with it. At no time did I see anyone cleaning or wiping down any "high touch" surface . The buttons in the elevator were disgusting and so was the floor. We're in the middle of a pandemic! And this is a Best Western Plus...I expected more. Silly me. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Next time I'll drive the few extra miles...

We stayed on the ground floor room which has really tall 12 or 14 ft ceilings loved it! Of course since Covid-19 you don't get the buffet but they do give you a grab n go snack. Ours had water, on, gernola bar, boiled egg, banana, and fresh cheese danish small. I wish pool was open but COVID restrictionist stuff kept it and work out room closed. Staff helpful and friendly. Bed was good and lamp has built in 110 and on the front but not very evident usb as well. We choose the 2 queen room.

We had a great stay with our 2 teenagers. There was plenty of room and the beds were so comfortable! Hotel was clean, new looking and we felt safe and welcomed. It was a perfect location near Zion National Park and a wonderful little coffee place next door called Red Rock. Will definitely recommend and stay again if we get the chance. Best Western exceeded our expectations.

A proven top-notch accomodation near Zion National Park. Clean, moderm and outstanding customer service. Services were this year limited because of the COVID-19 situation, but other years one of the hihglights is the hot brekafast they offer.

I booked a room at this hotel for 2 nights to visit Zion National Park. I thought it was a better deal to drive to La Verkin than to stay in Springsdale. My check in was smooth, the room was clean and I appreciated the fact they included breakfast. I was able to get assistance from the front desk employee when I needed a recommendation. I would totally stay here again.

We drove up from Scottsdale to visit Zion National Park. When scouting out for a Hotel nearby, I saw positive mentions of this Hotel regarding it being pet friendly. If you are like me, that is the only thing that matters if you are traveling with a four-legged friend. We arrived late in the evening and check-in was easy. It was an extra $20/night to register your dog. I noticed a sign at the desk mentioning a fine of $100+ to anyone trying to circumvent the animal policy, so don't try it, I guess. Parking is free, right out front, register your vehicle at the desk. We were in a 2nd floor room, #216 if I remember right. We only had handbags and backpacks, but I am sure the elevator is appreciated by those with luggage. Room was fine, it wasn't the Ritz but it was clean and comfortable. Had a little difficulty getting all of our devices online with the code provided, and once on, the speeds weren't great, but good enough to browse. Bed was comfy and slept well, but wasn't a fan of the tiny square pillows. Due to COVID, the breakfast option was closed and we were provided with a to-go bagged breakfast. We bought some snacks from the gas station right across the street as well. All in all, I thought it was good value for what we paid. Was about a hundy for the room and an extra 20 for the dog. Both my wife and I were satisfied with the Hotel and the Room and if we find ourselves back in the area, will definitely look to book here. Thanks for having us.

Our trip was to Zion national park and Best Western met our needs perfectly. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the refrigerator and microwave were functional. The breakfast is grab and go, with coffee and water available 24/7 on the first floor. I felt the front desk staff were helpful and cordial.

we just stay one night. Good price if you just need a decent place to sleep. The gym does not have much equipment if you are a person that likes do exercise, it would be nice if they provide with disinfectant wipes in the gym. They are not providing with breakfast. But in general it is ok, you get what you pay, it is close to Zion National Park, the room was nice and clean.

This hotel and its service was awful. We arrived after camping for 3 days, we got into our room to the smell of burning plastic, a hot refrigerator and sweltering heat. I called the front desk and the girl came to our room and told us our room was supposed to be out of order!!! The fridge was broken and the AC didn't work! She said she would talk to her manager and call me but she never did. I went to the front desk and was given a completely half assed apology and offered no solution because the hotel was “full” we couldn't even get another room. OH and the pool was broken and no breakfast offered either. So we paid $133 for no breakfast, no AC, no pool, no fridge and not even an apology or solution from the manager. This was completely pathetic and we had a miserable night. I would not recommend this place at all

Stayed here 2/15/20, I had to shower in cold water that night. The next morning I told the front desk, she came and checked the water. She said, she will contact her supervisor. Waited 2 hours, she didn't do anything. We reminded her about the issue when we checked out. She promised she will call us. Four days later.. NADA

We were barely in the room as we were there to explore Zion mostly, but it was clean and comfortable. It's a littler further away from Zion than I would've liked, but for the price, it was perfect. Would definitely stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The rooms were very clean and large and the staff very friendly. The price couldn't be beat! I wish we would have upgraded to the whirlpool suite. I love that it had that option. We would stay here again!

I stayed for two night, while exploring zion and the surroundings, I was upgraded to a suite, due to the fact the there were little to no guests. And the receptionist was excellent at her job. The town was a little empty, but the hotel was very friendly.

We stayed there late September. The room was on the first floor, near the office. The room was quite warm we got there which was late in the evening. Over the next few hours I gradually reduced the temperature setting on the air conditioner but after several hours the room was still too hot to sleep. Frustrated I went out and spoke to the desk clerk who was unhelpful and insisted I must have tried to set it too low all at once and caused the system to malfunction or I just did not know how to adjust it. That was all that was offered to remedy the situation and I had a pretty sleepless night . When I spoke to the desk clerk in the AM, she agreed to give me a partial credit, that ended up being $16, or 10% off for a miserable night. Not anywhere near sufficient.

The hotel itself is great. The location is nearby Zion NP and the Hurricane Area. The overall price was good, although there are some other nearby hotels with more competitive pricing. The one complaint I had was regarding transparency of pet fees. The BW website lists this property at a $20 per day pet fee with up to 2 dogs. Upon checking in I found out that the pet fee is actually $20 per day PER PET. I opted for this location because of the cheaper fee, but had I known I'd be paying an extra $20 regardless, I would have just booked a comparable priced hotel much closer to my destination (Zion NP/Springdale).

Very inexpensive for this time of year, we had a king size bed Suite for under $60 breakfast was included, room is clean an adequate with a microwave and fridge, breakfast with little above average, probably more pricey in the summer with visitors going to Zion's national park

This is a great alternative to more expensive places in Springdale if you are visiting Zions'. It is a 30 minute drive to Zion's. La Verkin is also close to many other places in the St George area. The Best Western is conveniently located on SR-9. The hotel is clean. The staff is friendly. The breakfast is good. A great overall value.

We stayed 2 nights while traveling around the Utah area for our anniversary. Staff at check in were very friendly. Breakfast was the best we had the entire week we were in hotels. A large variety of foods and very good. There was a water cooler to easily fill up water bottles and packs for hikers heading to the parks. Hotel was quiet except for the person above us. Sounded almost like there was a large dog or a person who paced across the floor for several hours during the night. We did not complain, but it just shows how much the wrong person above or beside you can affect your stay even in an otherwise nice hotel. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Would def recommend staying here.

Stayed here for two nights while visiting Zion. Even in the offseason, this place was about a third of the price of places in Springdale. The savings were worth the extra 20 minute drive in each direction each day. Being late October, parking at Zion was not an issue. My room was large, with a couch and a king bed. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the couch cushions were shot. As some other reviews have mentioned, the rooms do not have enough soundproofing. I could hear the plumbing from the neighboring room, which fortunately was only occupied one night I was here. The breakfast was very good with an excellent selection. There was everything from eggs and either bacon or sausage, biscuits and gravy, to waffles in the meeting room. For the price, this hotel is a great value just a short distance from Zion!

Lovely property at an easy to find major intersection. Large room and above average breakfast. Negative is that it's quite a drive from Zion. We stayed after our visit and before heading on on I15 so it was convenient. Dining options in area are also limited. We arrived early and were told room would be ready at 3. On returning at 4 it was still not ready. Got one by speaking up but rooms were still being cleaned at 6PM. Odd.

We came in at midnight and check-in was fast and easy after a long day of driving. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The hotel and the rooms are clean and the bathrooms are spacious and nice. Beds are comfortable though I wish the sheets were a little softer (not a big deal to most people, but worth mentioning if someone cares). Breakfast was amazing as they have a variety of hot and cold items (eggs, sausage, make-it-yourself waffles with tons of toppings, muffins, bagels and cream cheese, fruits, juice, coffee, specialty coffee, just to name a few..). We didn't plan to use the pool, but it was down for maintenance during our stay so if you plan to use the pool it may be worth calling ahead of time for information on this. Amazing value for the price, service and location. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

This was a great location with good restaurants nearby for dinner. Complimentary breakfast buffet was nice. It was located on the road that leads to Zion National Park, which was our destination. The rates are more reasonable than other hotels closer to the park. The drive was enjoyable and not too far. We would highly recommend this hotel.

We can recommend this hotel. Short distance from Zion and much cheaper than Springdale. We planned only to stay one night, but we enjoyed it and decided three nights here. First we were very disappointed that the hot tub and pool was under construction, but we were told we could just walk over to our neighbor hotel La Quinta and tell we were guests at Best Western. Then we could use that pool. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Good breakfast. If you are planning to do both Zion and Grand Canyon North Rim, this is a good location. Also shorter drive to Vegas than from Springdale.

My wife and I stayed in a king suite for our anniversary trip and it was truly a mistake. From the start our room wasn't ready at check in. When we finally got to our room cleaned by housekeeper “Melissa” it was extremely dusty, the lamps from top to bottom were covered in dust. The floor looked as though it hadn't been vacuumed. We found numerous hairs in our bed. The TV was very dusty and hadn't been cleaned. Overall the room looked half cleaned. The pool and hot tub were out and this was not advertised online, we only found out when we arrived and could not cancel our stay without paying. The doors in and outside our room were covered in finger and handprints. The front desk girl seemed very new to her job. At the end of our stay we were more than happy to check out. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone nor will I be staying again!

Its easy to get to the above parks from this Hotel and you'll save money by staying here vs. closer tot he parks. Rooms are very clean, staff are friendly and helpful. Insulation between rooms could be better though!! Breakfast is what you expect at BW + but it does get very busy after 8:30 Location is also quiet, safe with lots of parking available *Outside pool is under renovation at time of this review

We love staying at Best Western's. Located in a beautiful area, with lots to see & do. Zion National Park is a must see. Beautiful views, Very picturesque; We spent 2 days there and plan on coming back again.

Like many reviewers we chose Best Western Plus Zion West because it was well rated at a huge bargain compared to the motels nearer Zion. We were not disappointed. The staff was friendly and helpful, our room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast offered a great variety. Our only disappoint was the pool area. When we were there the hot tub was under construction and the patio around the hot tub was torn up. Dirt and debris from the hot tub construction was in the pool. Not a good look. And the dirt seemed to have an impact on the circulation and the heating of the pool. We swam anyway. The pool was not as warm as we like but it was bearable in small doses. If we were in the area again, I would definitely stay here again.

So glad we stayed in LaVerkin instead of Springdale. We stayed for four nights and did 2 days toward Springdale and 2 days in middle and northwest side of Zion. Price is great for what you get. Front desk was good and very well kept hotel. Breakfast had a lot of options and you can get coffee and tea 24 hours and also have cookies in the late afternoon. Breakfast started at 7 on the weekends instead of 6 during the week which I thought was strange. Had a glitch with maid service only cleaning half the room but not a big deal. It was a nice area to relax and would highly recommend. It was a half hour to get to visitor center but we just got up earlier. A good choice for us.

Spent two nights here in late September. I was very pleased with the decor, the cleanliness and the service provided and offered by the staff. The only downside was that there were lots of tourists at the same time I was there and breakfast was crowded. The staff was there to quickly refresh depleting food. The food was good although not exceptional.

We were very impressed with this BW but our stay was seriously marred by the fact that the pool and hot tub were being dug up and no warning had been given. Indeed, having checked the hotel website, there was no mention of this at all which is very unfair as we would have booked elsewhere had we known. Leaving that aside, the room was huge (we had a 1 bed suite) and the amenities great for the price we paid. We took advantage of the guest laundry whilst there which had 2 washers and 2 driers which worked well. The breakfast selection was really good and we would stay again but only if we were sure the pool was in working order! The stunning scenery and location goes without saying and staying in La Verkin (which is only a 20 min drive to the main Zion entrance) is well worth it to be away from the terrible crowds (and prices) nearer to the park.

We were on the road 10 days. This hotel was the best of them all. The staff was great, many choices at breakfast and rooms were updated and clean. We would definitely recommend this location . Our only problem was that the WiFi did not work most of the time.

The hotel was clean and comfortable with an attentive staff and a better than average breakfast. We had traveled all day with a four hour flight and 1-1/2 hour drive and were well rested after a night's rest here.

We stayed one night. Check in was quick and the desk agent was very friendly. We were given a king suite on the ground floor at the end of the hallway. It was very quiet hotel. Our room was huge. Bathroom was clean and well stocked with amenities. Our bed was comfortable. We had a fridge, microwave, couch and table in our room. The hotel was clean. Pool was nice and water was a comfortable temp. The wifi didn't work very well and kept logging off. Most of the time it didn't work and when it did it was very slow. Lots of vending machines near the pool area. The breakfast area was pretty big and was separated into two rooms next to each other. There were many options that included eggs, bacon, potatoes, biscuits, gravy, waffles, cereal, juice, yogurt, pastries and bagels. The breakfast attendant was very friendly and was continuously cleaning and restocking the area. Close to a lot of restaurants in Hurricane area and about 20 minutes from Zion. We will stay here again next time we're in the area.

A great hotel twenty miles from Zion park on the begining of highway 9 in La verkin. The king bad suit room was very comfertable and very big with every thing one kneeds. The service was very good except the cleaning staff that were cleaning but not very good.

We used this hotel for visiting Zion National Park. Fast check-in, nice staff, clean room, and delicious breakfast. Also, there was a microwave and refrigerator were in the room. We are totally satisfied.

This hotel is a bit off the beaten path, but well worth a few minutes more drive. It's newer construction and very clean, as well as having a few nice amenities: workout room, pool, fridge, microwave, and free breakfast. At a rate 25% less than the comparable hotels in nearby towns, it's a bargain!

I really enjoyed our stay here! The room was lovely, spacious, clean, and comfortable. Not too far from Zion, and a great option if you're on a budget. We very much appreciated having a laundry facility on site, especially after all that hiking! Breakfast was great, lots of parking, pretty quiet location. Would absolutely stay here again.

We chose this hotel due to its proximity to Zion NP and its reasonable price, in comparison to places within a mile or so of the park. We were more than pleasantly surprised by the property. I appears to be newly constructed. It was very clean. The Room was spacious, and the staff were very courteous. We highly recommend this hotel!

Excellent Hotel, not far away from the Zion National Park, you can reach the Park entrance in less than 20 minutes by car. The breakfast is very versatile and there is enough space for everyone. It is a good hotel for a trip, or more, to Zion National Park and the go on to Valley of Fire.

Like many others, we chose to stay here --as opposed to closer to the Zion Park entrance--because it was less than half the price. Nice, friendly staff. Newer hotel (only 3 years old) with a nice lobby area and 2 breakfast rooms. Our room was clean and comfortable. A/C worked well. Plenty of on site parking. Convenient to access the Park. A few restaurants nearby, but a little way out of town (Hurricane) which has more dining and recreation options. Prefect place to stay if you're visiting Zion.

Well this place will save you money compared to those at the entrance of the park. It's about 25 minutes away and worth the cost savings during the overpriced summer months. However... I've stayed at some excellent Best Westerns both in the US and in Europe. This one was somewhat of a disappointment. The price was right and the room was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful as well. But the rooms are older and quite average. The breakfast was awful, just skip it.

Hotel location is 25 minutes drive away from Zion National Park, which is relatively convenient. However, during my stay, the bathroom mirror fell and shattered to pieces on the ground while we were out for dinner. Staff was prompt to clean it up but offered no alternatives cause hotel was fully booked. No compensation was also offered and we had to continue putting up in that room for fear that the other mirrors in the room might fall too. Staff at reception also did not offer any compensation when we checked out.

The king room suite is A HUGE two-room deal that can fit a lot of people and luggage. Fitness room is outstanding, large, well air condition, new equipment. The price for this hotel double on a holiday, but if you avoid holidays, you'll get a very good price.

The location is perfect to visit Zion - we visited Zion multiple days from here. The hotel was clean and the services were very good. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and professional. We had a very good time and were very comfortable during our stay here. The breakfast was a great plus, with lot of variety, that the kids loved. It was well stocked and re-stocked. Will certainly consider staying here should we visit this area again.

Spent 2 nights here on our journey through the canyons and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel was really nice and our room was great. The free breakfast was plentiful and the staff were really helpful with local stuff to do. Plenty of nice viewing points near the town and the close to a nice little market shop which has everything.

We love going to LaVerkin as it is a small community and very quiet. They are very friendly and provide great service. Hotel is clean and we always sleep well there. Wonderful breakfast provided to start your day. It is a little off the freeway but only takes an extra 5 minutes. It is on the way to Zion Park so it is right in the area you need.

Very friendly and nice front desk staff. Large and clean room. There is a restaurant in the hotel, food was good but service was pretty slow. Front desk host of the restaurant was kinda cranky, maybe from not having enough sleep the night before. Hotel is in very good location.

Go to this hotel if you want to save money. Not that far from Zion but so much cheaper. Room was clean, comfy bed, good shower! They had little snacks and drinks set out in the breakfast area all day.

We stayed 2 nights here, we arrived early but were told no checkin till 3pm, it was 3:20pm when we got our keys after waiting hours. Next day half the day we had no internet, noit good enough. The pool is nice, breakfast is OK, the staff were friendly enough, the hotel is clean and bed a good size. Laundry is free except for soap. plenty of parking, a but away from Zion N.P., but fine. Plenty of local restaurants, River Rock was good.

This hotel is located about 20 miles west of Zion National Park. Nice newer hotel with large, the room we stayed in had a queen bed with a couch, chair & desk in it. As some of the other reviewers have stated it is a easy drive to Zion and is a much less expensive alternative to some of the more closer hotels. We were put on the 2nd floor in the back of the hotel, the elevator worked fine. The room was quiet, no noises from the outside or our neighbors. If we were to go back to the area I would probably consider staying at this hotel again.

Booked a room here for one night before heading into Springdale and Zion. Great location and clean room that included breakfast. Breakfast had a good variety of foods to choice from. There is a gym and pool, but we didn't use them.

We spent two nights here. This hotel is a little over 20 miles from Springdale (Zion entrance); an easy drive, and half the price! The property is very clean, the staff was friendly, especially the woman in charge of the breakfast room the mornings we were there. Our room was a huge suite (which I don't recall booking). It was well appointed, with great amenities (2 TVs, a refrigerator, microwave, etc). Ant do top it off, we had a great view, as there was snow on the mountains in the distance. I would stay here again, especially for the price!

Below average experience. The outside of the building was well maintained and clean. The pool looked nice and clean. When we approached the entrance, we were greeted by a sign that said we could not walk on the tiles in the foyer (they were being replaced). To get to the desk, we had to walk on a border strip, that I suppose was about 12-15 inches wide. I had to hold on to the counter to get to the desk, so I would fall over. I am a slim person; I can't imagine how a heavier or older person would fare. The lady at the desk seemed totally unconcerned with the dilemma. When I asked her how we were supposed to get our luggage in, she just kind of shrugged her shoulders and said, “Well I guess you can take it right down the middle.” We told her there were no luggage carts available and she seemed equally uninterested in helping us. We ended up carrying all of our luggage in by hand. It is evident that this hotel was built with economy in mind. We had a room with 2 queen beds. My husband and I had to sleep in separate beds, as there was not enough room on the sides of the beds to get out. The room size was very small and cramped. The TV was very nice. There was no TV channel guide in the room. We went to the desk and they provided us with one. The room was clean and quiet. The lighting in the room was good. The refrigerator was large. The pillows were smaller and “square” instead of rectangular, I suppose another cost cutter, which proved to be uncomfortable. The sheets and pillowcases were old and the sheets were pilled. The shampoo and conditioner bottles were so small that they could not be used for 2 people and the bottles were so hard that it was almost impossible to get anything out. The shampoo did not lather at all. We had to go to the store to get our own supplies. In the shower, there was no place to put soap, shampoo, a washcloth or a razor. The shower stall was very cheaply done and the chalk was coming off. The bathtub faucet dripped continually. The bath towels were scratchy. The toilet paper holders were too small for the toilet paper. The air conditioning unit was loud and kicked on and off frequently. The breakfast was an average hotel breakfast with the standard selections. Everything appeared fresh and tasted good. One morning, we ate around 6 AM. The other two mornings, around 7 AM. The oatmeal was not cooked any of those times, but was still “oats and water” in the oatmeal cooker. The attendant for the breakfast was nice and attentive. When we checked out, we had the same difficulty with the foyer floor. It seems like it would be much better customer service if the work would be done at night or a temporary check in made at one of the side entrances until the work is completed.

Everything was great. Loved the breakfast, especially the waffles. Room was clean and nice. Everything worked well. Staff was very friendly. Close to Zion but also in town. Good location! Beds were also super comfortable!

We spend two nights here so that we could visit Zion National Park. It is about 25 miles from the park. It is a newer property. The prices were extremely good compared to what you would pay in Springdale. Check in is after 3.00pm. The rooms are on 3 floors and there is one elevator. This could be a problem if they are full. The rooms are spacious and clean with microwave, fridge and coffee maker. The beds were really comfortable and the bedroom was a good size. A hot breakfast was included in the rate which made it an even better value. The hotel is also very convenient to I15. This is certainly a good option if you are visiting Zion or the area. Would stay here again.

Great location. Plenty of things to do and explore in the area. Breakfast standard but tended to run out of things and not stocked in a timely matter. Local eateries are good. Very quiet area and definitely very peaceful.

This was a great hotel to base ourselves to see both Snow Canyon State Park and Zion National Park. The hotel room was one of the nicest we stayed in on our 10 days in Utah. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of space with two rooms for breakfast. The view from the hotel of the snow-covered mountains was just beautiful. It is close to several restaurants in LaVerkin. The staff was extremely helpful, especially Ashlynn. I needed to send an email to our 95 and 98 year old fathers and had trouble with it. She let me email it to her and printed two copies out for me complete with color pictures. I really appreciated this. We also enjoyed the hot tub in the evening. Everyone at the front desk was very friendly. We would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is a short drive to Zion and a few other parks in the area. It was a nice home base for a week long trip to hike a few of the parks in the area. The service was nice and the rooms were clean. The free breakfast was nice, however it was the same options every day which got a little old after a few days, but a nice convenience none the less. This entire town is just magical. This hotel appeared to be the last one prior to the entrance to the park and the shuttle was literally across the street. The hotel is about 1 1/2 years old and everything is new, modern, updated and clean. Request a room at the back overlooking the mountain which has a wonderful view of the mountain. There is a nice pool and hot tub and gas fire pits to enjoy. Free breakfast in the morning is nice as well. Not sure about handicapped accessibility. The hotel had individual units, you need a key card to get in the building, the doors to those buildings don't open automatically and the sidewalk ramp looks like it was installed after the fact, kinda placed over the existing sidewalk, the beds in my room were VERY high, would have been very difficult for a older person to climb up into them. When sharing those comments with management they did say that their were accessible rooms. Regardless, this hotel was very nice.

This hotel is great alternative if you don't want to pay high price of hotel rooms in Springdale. It's only half an hour drive to the Zion NP so you can get to the park quite early to beat the crowd. The hotel itself is in great condition with nice pool, small gym and self laundry facilities. The room is spacious and everything works. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was so so but enough to get you going.

We stayed 3 nights when visiting Zion National Park and heading out to Bryce after. We had two rooms and they were both clean and well equipped. Breakfast was plentiful but the quality of the items was poor (waffles were dry and crumbly, limited choices for fruit), and if we had stayed longer, we would have needed to eat breakfast elsewhere. Grocery store nearby was helpful. Staff was courteous and the hotel was clean. They were undergoing some upgrades to dining area which did not affect our stay at all.

Since we didn't get accomodation in Springdale, which is really next to Zion NP, we booked in La Verkin. It is half hour drive to the Zion and prices are much lower then in Springdale. The hotel has big and clean rooms with all the facilities you need (refrigerator, coffe machine etc). Very friendly stuff. Would totally reccomend it.

Large and very clean room. Front desk receptionist had no name tag, playing with her cell phone when guests asking questions, unfriendly, unprofessional. We checked in around 6-7:00pm on 04/13. The receptionist in the morning was the totally opposite. She was very helpful, friendly, and sweet. She made up for the unpleasant feeling we had with the other person the night before. Other than that minor issue, everything was just fine. Oh, breakfast was good and had more items than other hotels. Would stay there again.

The most beautiful views of the mountains from our balcony. The room was large and spacious, had two televisions, and refrigerator. Their breakfast has plenty of delicious options. Very clean and overall amazing hotel.

The hotel is undergoing an upgrade which will add to the superb staff service. Everyone I encountered made me feel valued. Tomi was being trained on her first day and she was great hope you can keep her.

My wife and I stayed here overnight before visiting nearby Zion National Park. It is a wonderful value and everything there was excellent and in some cases exceptional. The young lady (Tammie) at the front desk was one of the nicest people we met on our 8-day trip through Arizona and Utah. She was friendly, informative, and efficient. The room was immaculate as were all the public areas. The hot breakfast appeared to be made from scratch and was fresh and included everything you would expect. All this for only $65. We paid the same the next night near Bryce Canyon for a far inferior property. I doubt if we will ever be that way again, but if you get to La Verkin you can't go wrong staying there.

We had a wonderful stay at Best Western Plus in La Verkin, Utah. From the reservations to check it was perfect! Friendly staff. Breakfast options are many! Nice beds! Clean rooms and hotel. I would definitely choose the hotel over any in the area. Also easy in and out access to the hotel

Went with a group of my friends for a Spring Break vacation to Zion. Perfect location if you're visiting Zion or Bryce, and can't beat the amazing price on this hotel. Food near this area was also good.

The staff here is outrageously kind and sweet. Out of everything, that is what stuck with us the most. Aside from that, the establishment was very clean, our room was INSANE. It was huge! High ceilings, ample space, and it's worth mentioning that it was extremely affordable. I have paid double for a hotel experience that was a fraction of what I experienced here. Free breakfast was great, gym was nicely kept clean, tons of parking, and free cookies at check in! This place is as good as it gets.

Finally, a hotel that looks like the photos on the website. Clean, modern, good breakfast, nice hot tub and plenty of parking. Staff is friendly and helpful. Lots of places to eat within a short drive. Would stay here again if in the area.

This is a nice well kept hotel. The check in was fast and the man was helpful. Room clean. Beds comfortable. Bathtub walls could have been cleaned better but the rest of the tub was good. Hot tub was perfect. Pool closed which was a bummer because that is a big thing for us when staying in a hotel. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Checkout was fast.

My sister recommended this hotel, so I didn't look at any other options. It's on Shuttle stop 4 and .8 miles from the Zion National Park entrance. The hot tub and pool are outdoors, which means in March, the pool's way too cold. But the hot tub was delightful. The breakfast in the morning included waffles, pre-made egg omelets, hard boiled eggs, fruit, very weak coffee, oatmeal, yogurt, etc. I just felt happy because they offered cheese, bacon and salsa plus a microwave and directions to make your own breakfast sandwich. The location can't be beat and the price is reasonable.

Great value, good breakfast choices, beautiful location. Quiet!! Great beds! We enjoy staying here anytime we visit the area. Everyone is kind and helpful, the hot tub was hot and clean. The pool is great in the summer as well.

We found this hotel on our Best Western App while traveling through Zion NP. The hotel was very clean, comfortable and the front desk lady was kind and helpful. This hotel is very new and so nice and had a great view of the mountains at Zion. We would stay here again! We highly recommend this nice and clean hotel.

We've stayed in a lot of hotels around Utah and are most impressed with Best Western Plus Zion West. First, the hotel is new and beautiful with lots of amenities. The TV is large screen and connected quickly to the internet and our Amazon Fire. There was no lagging in the wifi. There's lots of counter space in the bathroom. The fridge is big. Most importantly the room is quiet. Beds are soft with nine pillows and an extra blanket. There was plenty of room for all of our suitcases and coolers. The fan in the room was quiet and made for a peaceful night. We liked the lighting in the room. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms are not over priced. Thanks, BW!

Looking for a place to stay while visiting Zion park look no further then the western. Wonderful experience, clean and comfortable room. Great helpful staff but most of all the breakfast is fantastic.It's also dog friendly for extra 20 dollars.

We had excellent stay at the Best Western in La Verkin. The staff were friendly and the hotel was clean. Our coffee maker was a tad dirty. When we had a small incident with our coffee maker, and the staff were very understanding and helpful and responded to the issue promptly. The breakfast area was quite clean as well.

If you are looking for a clean and decent place to stay near zion, i recommend this hotel it offers excellent value without the high prices of springdale UT properties. It is only 20 minutes away from the zion entrance. Rates are reasonable. We paid 80 dollars per night and this included good hot freshly cooked breakfast for all of us. Property felt new and not run down. No cigarette smoke etc. Wish best western would start having a restaurant on site incase we want to grab food and drink without having to drive elsewhere.

A very cosy hotel, clean and well equipped. Stable and fast Internet connection. Good breakfast which besides typical sausages and donuts offers freshly made waffles in their special waffle room)) It'lol take you about 20 minutes to get to the Zion park and this hotel a worthy alternative to more expensive ones in Springdale. I stayed in this hotel for one night and very like this hotel. It's best one we stayed so far. The front desk lady is very friendly. The room is very clean and the breakfast is best. Will choose it again if coming to Zion again.

Nice hotel, clean and quiet. Breakfast was hot and great every morning and I believe they start to serve at 6 am. Price are significantly lower than hotels at the park. It was about a half hour drive to get to the park but the ride was nice every morning. First week of November was ideal to visit the canyon due to minimal crowds. You could get a parking spot in the park lot by the ranger station without a problem even after 9 am. However, it was cold in the morning and you needed a winter coat but by late morning you could be out with tea shirt and slacks. Water levels were low so the narrow was easier to hike. Angles Landing was over busy this time of year so waiting for people to pass on the last half mile of the hike. I would stay here again. Only down side there is no night life in La Verkin and only a hand full of restaurants. This did not provide a problem for me because that is not why I went to this area of Utah.

I stayed at this BW Hotel in La Verkin, Utah, for the first time. Price was very reasonable, and the hotel was in excellent condition, seeming new. Outside was well kept, inside was clean and neat, breakfast was very ample and included. The location there in the country beside the mountains was beautiful, and conveniently located on the road to the entrance of Zion National Park. I am very happy with my stay there, and have recommended it to family.

We visit Zion frequently and this is our new favorite hotel. For about half the price of staying in Springdale, it's only a 20 minute drive to the park. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the hot tub is welcome after a long day of hiking. We had a great experience both times we have stayed here.

BW Plus Zion West Hotel was a fabulous hotel to spend 4 days and 3 nights during my visit to Zion National Park and surrounding areas. The room was clean, updated and comfortable. All of the staff were professional, friendly, concerned that everything with my stay on a daily basis was to my standards. Each staff greeted me each time they saw me and asked how I was doing and how was my stay so far. Breakfast included eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, yogurt, bagels, toast, fruit, cereal, milk, tea, coffee. I will be suggesting this hotel to people who are traveling to Zion, Bryce and other areas near this hotel.

Hotel has great location for all the fun stuff, the breakfast is a few steps above the average "free" breakfast, our room was very large & clean, and the hot tub was properly hot and all was in great working order. Very nice. Cookie upon check in was a nice touch.

This Best Western is an ideal location for visiting Zion. The breakfast was very good! The room was good, but the bed was too firm. Checking in had a few flaws, but it worked out even though they didn't add my bonus points. They had delicious cookies every afternoon and the price was hard to beat!

This hotel is located about 35 minutes from Zion. It's an easy drive despite the road construction going on. You travel through cute towns on your way to the park. Beds are comfortable, staff is friendly, hallways are quiet and the breakfast is enough to start your day out right. There is a nearby gas station, and large grocery store.

About a 30-minute drive from Zion National Park Springdale entrance. But very easy access. Outstanding housekeeping! Courtney went above and beyond to make my stay Lovely by leaving little notes and making everything super wonderful. Breakfast was awesome, lots of choices including bacon! Front desk, especially Tracy, best experience ever! Loved the hot tub! Used it every evening at Sunset and wow, just lovely! Gas stations are close by. Food choices are extremely Limited. Next time, I will eat in Springdale and not in La Verkin.

Best Western was a great place to stay for fast access to Zion. Inexpensive, quality rooms and service and laid back staff. We were more than pleasantly surprised as we had to book at the last minute. Glad we did.

After our flight and then road trip, we were very happy to see that we had selected such a nice place to stay for two nights! We were greeted warmly by a very friendly front desk and found our room to have absolutely everything we could have needed for our stay. On top of that, the room (and hotel) was in perfect condition. Would definitely recommend this place.

Nice quiet room at a typical mid-range hotel. Good location for Zion NP and the rest of the area. Even though my room (202) overlooked the lobby, there was no noise problem. The free breakfast is a plus - it is of better quality than some (no cellophane wrapped pastries, for example - everything was pretty fresh) - and there is a good selection of eggs, cereals, drinks, and side dishes. The one oddity was that my room had two queen beds, but had not been designed for it. On one side, an arm chair was squeezed into the space between the bed and the wall, and on the other side, there was a closet that was blocked by the bed such that the door would only open part way. Getting the ironing board out required some gymnastics on my part! (see photos) If you were using the closet to hang clothes, it would be accessible enough.

Super location for trip to Zion. 20 minutes out. Grocery stores decent restaurants (we did Main St Grill). Good price easy parking. Staff was great and very friendly. Nice breakfast and pool was open depending on weather. Very nice facility and lots of space.

Best Western is our go to stay when traveling for fun and work.Everything is perfect, the staff have always been friendly and helpful, rooms are top rate.Pools, exercise room, laundry, breakfast, and the smell of fresh backed cookies waiting for you at the front desk, a wonderful homey touch in the afternoon.

Chose BW because of its location near Zion National Park and because it offered a Tesla charging station. The price couldn't be beat and we were definitely happy with the service, location, and amenities. I would definitely recommend this for a stay in this area. Next time I go to Zion, I know where I will be staying.

Hubby and I had a long drive to our destination and definitely enjoyed this hotel. The room was comfortable and breakfast was delicious considering it was a buffet. Shower was wonderful and bed was just right.

I stayed two nights in this hotel - the room I stayed in was modern and spacious, clean bathroom, very good mattress. All amenities needed in the room: fridge, microwave,... The breakfast was good, but unfortunately there was not enough room to sit down (and people were "holding" tables for others, while not having food yet), even though there are two separate breakfast rooms. I had to eat while standing in the lobby :(

This property was excellent! Close enough to Zion (17 miles) but without the inflated prices of Springdale. Newer property and it shows. Great size rooms, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was the best we have had on our 6 week trip. Waffles, pancakes, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon or sausage, greek yogurt, breakfast breads and pastries every day. Warm cookies in the afternoon. Pool area great. Grocery store and gas station across the street. Definitely would stay there again!

We didn't have a reservation, so we were a walk-in. We ended up with an amazing king suite that truly had two HUGE rooms, a double-door bathroom, and a kitchenette. It was very, very comfortable and homey as well as quiet. We hated to leave. The clerk (Ashley) even recommended a local restaurant that turned out to be fabulous.

The staff was extremely friendly and made my check in very easy. After driving 8 hours it was nice to be able to get in quickly so we could relax. The breakfast was delicious and the room was very comfortable. Check out was quick as well.

Request and was confirmed for a room with two queen beds. When we arrived late at night I was told we had be upgraded to a King Suite. Great right? Two good size rooms one with a king sized bed, but the other only had sofa bed with a fold out queen. I requested original room instead of Upgrade, but was told rooms all completely full. Then no sheets on the sofa bed, and no sheets or pillows in the room for the sofa bed. Had to go the front desk to get such and make up the bed ourselves. As you can expect, that sofa bed was VERY uncomfortable and resulted in a very poor nights sleep. King bedroom was also lacking in normal items, like desk & chair, armchair, and suitcase stand.

Very nice property. But, I had a group of 45 people staying for 2 nights, according to my signed contract. The morning after our 1st night, we were getting ready to leave for a wonderful day in Zion, when I found out they only had us down for one night and we had to leave! Would not discuss the fact I had a signed contract, from all parties, for two nights. Front desk was very rude at first and then Manager and front desk did work to find my group another hotel. We had to handle our own bags the morning we were forced out and other hotels did not provide bellman for our bags. This is a very stressful situation for a tour manager!

The location is very close to the park. The grounds are immaculate. The rooms are well appointed. The cliffs of Zion are the backdrop when you look out the room windows. The staff is incredibly friendly even with the high tourist traffic to the point it feels like a small B&B. The complimentary breakfast is very complete and fresh.

We got in very late, did not have time to use pool, but check in was easy...staff was very friendly. This was a nice, friendly hotel. Comfortable bed and breakfast was the same as all hotels, but enough!

Our stay was pleasant, the staff friendly and professional. We especially liked having breakfast in the morning. The amenities were updated and well kept. The mattresses were not comfortable, however, everything in the room was clean, dusted, and vacuumed. In my view, that calls for an "Excellent" rating.

Stayed here for 4 nights, which were generally very good. Room was large and clean, service was friendly, and breakfast was excellent. I would have easily given this hotel 5 stars if it weren't for the really bad Sunday morning breakfast experience. The breakfast room is usually attended by a very friendly lady who does an excellent job in keeping everything fresh and bringing out more items as required. However, on my last morning at the hotel, which was on a Sunday, this lady apparently had a day off, and breakfast was handled by two receptionists who did an awful job. Breakfast ends at 9AM (pretty early for a weekend but I can live with that). When I got to the breakfast room at 8:40, many items were already missing (eggs, bagels, muffins, cheese and more). The two ladies were already busy cleaning up the area, completely ignoring the fact that hotel guests were still coming and that many items were missing. I tried to ask one of them but here attitude was so unfriendly that I just gave up and ate the few things that were still available. This experience definitely left a bad taste for my otherwise-excellent stay. ?

Visited Zion, Bryce and Great Basin national parks, using this location as my base.Except for some weather issues, I had an incredible 'stay and play' here, and would definitely recommend staying here.

We were on our way to Zion National Park, the hotel is in a nice location - small little town and good restaurant near by.. We also went to the lookout and able to see the sunset. The hotel look fairly new and proper maintained. The room is standard with Best Western, didn't have any problem, proper Queen beds and large room. Breakfast in the breakfast room, lots of choices, standard, but I like the waffle maker.

We stayed two nights. Water pressure was very weak on the first night, we could not use showers. In the next morning, there was no water, we called front desk and was told there was an emergency water was shut off. Front desk offer no information when we could get water. We left hotel to the park and came back around 4pm, there was water but no hot water. We could use the toilet but not shower, water was cold. Very bad experience to travel with young children and had no water for almost 18 hours.Wifi cannot be used. Error message: unsecured server, cannot sign in. Call staff, took information and never call back to solve internet issue.

We stayed here for two nights. This place was super clean, well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. Never stayed at a Western Plus before. It's very similar to a Hampton Inn & Suits, but I found the beds and the two extra pillows gives this Hotel that something extra. The only one thing that would have made it 100% thumps up, was the pool and Jacuzzi. The pool and Jacuzzi were closed during our stay

Would definitely stay again! We stayed one night and had a king suite. It was spacious (2 rooms), clean, and had 2 AC units. We did not use the pool. Breakfast consisted of pancakes, waffles, biscuits & gravy, fruit, eggs, sausage, and more.

We decided to stay there rather than in Springdale where hotels were two or three times the price we paid. We were pleasantly surprised. Beautiful hotel, great staff, clean rooms with very comfortable rooms and beds, and breakfast was so delicious with a huge variety of menu items. We will definitely stay here again. When we asked the front desk for places to eat dinner, they told us and even printed out various places to try. Wonderful hotel and excellent employees.

When I booked it said no frills. This was way beyond that. The breakfast was hot and plentiful. Internet was speedy. Only problem was forgotten linens which they promptly came and removed. The room was otherwise spotless. All in all, it Exceeded my expectations.

The BW+ Zion West is situated 30-40 minutes from the south (main) entrance to Zion, in the small town of la Verkin. It is a recent hotel with good facilities, and the bedrooms are quite spacious and convenient. Our only gripe was noisy neighbours but obviously we cannot blame the hotel. There is a very good restaurant close to the hotel (the Stage Coach Grille).

It's a Best Western - not much more to say about it. Very clean, very nice pool, nice breakfast, nice location and you aren't paying too much. They have laundry facilities, so if you need to wash clothes, this is a super convenient location to do it. Super great view, but I think you can say that about anyplace in Springdale.

Stayed at this hotel for a night while visiting Zion NP. Honestly, not the best deal fro your buck. La Verking is about 40 min away from Zion NP entrance, which is why price for a room shouldn't be as steep. There is nothing to do and nowhere to eat in La Verkin, we had to drive to St. George for dinner, which was pretty inconvenient. Hotel itself not very good either. Our room was on the first floor and it smelled very bad when we walked in. Everything in a room was very outdated and just not very pleasant. I stayed at the hotel for 70$ the night before in Cedar City and it was million times better. Therefore, when I paid over 200$ for my room I expected more. Breakfast was just ok, and not very tasty. I wouldn't stay here again. For that much money, there are way better places you can pick from.

We stayed there two nights. Check in was easy and smooth. The rooms are big and have a fridge and a microwave. The only "negative" point are the doors that are in between neighboring rooms, these are really thin and we could hear everything that was happening on the other side. Not a problem when you have quiet neighbors, but could be annoying if some people are walking up really early or have the TV on until really late. Breakfast is really nice with everything you will need. We do recommend this hotel on your road trip between the national parks.

This place is brand new as of March 2018, it has great breakfast and it's 3 minutes drive to the entrance. There is a shuttle that picks up and drops off right in front of the place, it is so convenient! We loved the beds too and everything was spotless. The price though was a little steep due to the busy season and last minute booking on our end.

We stayed at this location on a roadtrip across California, Utah, Arizona and Nevada. This was our favorite hotel by far. The staff was friendly, the front desk had fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and popcorn. Our king sized bed was wonderfully comfy and the room was huge, modern and luxurious. Breakfast was to die for- I would have paid money to eat this breakfast! fresh pancakes from a cool automatic pancake machine. Chocolate and strawberry waffles. Lots of fruit, yogurt, cereal, juice, eggs, sausage and bacon. My only problem was I left my $120 Tempurpedic pillow in the room when we checked out. I called a few hours later and they said someone would call me back. No one ever called. I called the next morning and staff said they would have someone check the Lost and Found. Non staff called me back yet again. I called a third time and staff said they would check the maids log, placed me on hold for almost 15 minutes, came back and said they didn't have my pillow. Normally not a big deal, but this was a $120 Tempurpedic pillow that relieves my neck pain. It was in my own pillowcase so I know the maid must have noticed it wasn't one of their own. I asked to have the manager call me and I never got a call from any staff member. very disappointing! Other than the pillow issue- I LOVED this hotel and wish all the other places we stayed were so wonderful.

We enjoyed our stay at Bestwestern and will continue to stay at these hotels if they can be found on our route of travels. All personnel we interacted with were friendly, courteous and helpful. The rooms were clean, well furnished and had comfortable beds.

Large comfortable modern room with all the amenities, super friendly at the front desk (free paper, cookies, and popcorn!), delicious full breakfast (chocolate waffles!), and nice-sized pool with large hot tub! Only 20 minutes to Zion and half the price of staying in Springdale

Looks like this Best Western is New ! Very nice. People are very friendly and helpful. Nice rooms and breakfast is good. Would stay here again. Located right outside of the park area. Short drive to both National Parks.

Stayed for 4 days over Memorial Day weekend. Rooms normally around $140, but increased to $297 for Saturday night. They did not even make the bed or do a quick clean between nights. Just emptied the garbage. We complained and it was done on the third day. Breakfast was OK some days, but ran out of food before 9am, which was the closing time. Facility itself was great.

The hotel is located about 20 minutes drive from Zion entrance (Springdale). The price difference with hotels in Springdale justifies a very relaxed and enjoyable drive to reach the park. Depending on how many days you're planning to stay it will make a big difference in the cost of your visit. All Hotel staff are very friendly and provided good suggestion for dinner in La Verkin. We had dinner at Lupita, good Mexican cuisine with also very good argentine empanadas in a very reasonable priced menu.

This is a really nice hotel. Very clean and the breakfast was super. The only problem we had was that we requested a wake up call 3 times and did not receive it the next morning which was important to us. But we would stay here again because the hotel was clean, safe and the breakfast was wonderful. The hotel also apologized for the mishap, so we would give them a chance for sure again

Take away: I would stay here again. The Best Wetern is in a great location. It is shuttle stop #4.And, if you make the same mistake and come to Zion over Memorial Day weekend, it's an easy 0.8 mile walk to the park gate. The included breakfast is surprisingly good. Instead of rubber sweet rolls, they serve eggs, bacon, bagel and make your own fresh waffles. The pool and hot tub were great after a day of hiking. The place is family friendly, clean and welcoming. Why not a 5? This is not the Ritz. The cups are plastic, the toiletries are generic, the public rooms are not designed by Ian Schrager. But, who cares? We're here to visit the park and this is a great base.

If you want somewhere that wont cost you $400 (Springdale), then stay here Only 25 minutes from south gate of Zion. Nice pool area, breakfast so-so, Laundry facilities, Room was nice and modern looking, bed comfort was average to above average, good shower. Store and gas station across the street.

This hotel was only 35 minutes from the entrance to Zion National Park and much cheaper than hotels in Springdale. We had no issues with our stay here and would certainly consider it on a return visit.

Clean property, excellent customer service in a quiet area. Walk to grocery or restaurants. Just 20 minutes from Zion entrance. Spent the weekend here, will return for a longer visit to the park next time and will stay at this property.

After spending several nights in hotels in this price range throughout Utah we found this hotel delightful. A wonderful breakfast that included eggs, sausage, waffles, and much more. Breakfast starts at 6 am which allowed us to eat and beat the crowds on Angels Landing. Close to I-15 and not too far from Zion.

This is a hidden gem and I highly recommend staying here. The room we stayed in was large and like they say - its all in the details. I loved the remote control germ free stand and the soap dish. My pet peeve at even 7-star hotels is that there is no soap dish and I hate placing the bar of soap on the sink. That aside, the room was clean & comfortable. Wifi was great and so was breakfast. The offerings were plentiful and there was something for every palate. Its a 15-minute drive to Zion NP but we did not mind it at all. Highly recommend it.

Maybe it was just a bad day but we arrived 1 hour after check in time and our room still wasn't clean. We had to sit in the lobby another 30 to 40 minutes until we could get to our room. The staff wasn't sympathetic at all. We were celebrating our first anniversary and it was a little frustrating. The hotel over all is nice. They have cookies at check in. The king suite was nice and spacious. The pool water was ice cold. Breakfast had an assortment of things to eat. Some warm and some cold. When I went to take a shower the next morning there was some long hair in the tub and on the wall. That was a little gross. Guess we hurried them too much. Overall not a bad place to stay, but I don't know if I would stay there again any time soon.

We stayed overnight at this hotel to visit Zion. The price was much more reasonable than staying in Springdale. The drive over was only 20 minutes or so and parking in Springdale added $20 but was easy with the town shuttle.

Very nice hotel. We got the room with a whirlpool bath in the room. Would definitely stay here again. Modern facilities. Clean. Friendly. Reasonable price compared to the town right next to Zion National Park. Ok free breakfast. Can't really complain, it was free.

We stayed at Best Western for our trip to Zion National Park. It was a very convenient hotel. Clean and comfortable. It's only a 20 min drive to Springdale. I would stay there again. Close to both towns.

If you are making any requests, make sure you have them write a note. I would have left the hotel, but it was during Easter vacation time and I would have had difficult time getting a room . I got lucky cause manager walked in while I was on the phone and he was able to change the room. This is first time that a receptionist refuse to contact manager when I asked cause simply he wasn't on premise. You think she can contact him and have him call me?? Isn't that he's job to make sure clients are satisfy?? Manager understood my frustration and the mistake they made, so he provided me with a different room.

Clean, we'll appointed facility with good breakfast buffet; in close proximity to the Zion National Park at a inexpensive cost. Staff was helpful and check in/out was a breeze. Highly recommended, 5 stars!

Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Complimentary fresh cookies and popcorn at front desk every day. Clean and spacious rooms, lobby, and breakfast area. Pool and jacuzzi. Separate large bathroom/shower by pool was plus! Plenty of beverage machines in halls. Fitness room is you are looking to workout. Plenty of parking. Very close to gas station and market. Stayed here for the Zion 50K race, only 6 miles from race location.

My wife and I stayed at the La Verkin location while traveling back from Zion National Park. It is a clean, modern, bright building with a lovely hot tub and pool area. The rooms are modern and the beds are very comfortable and the room we were in was very quiet. We definitely would stay again - great value.

Lovely place with a great breakfast. Close to Zion and golfing at sky mountain. Grocery store right there. We are not LDS but the church is right there all walking distance. No shade at the pool. Overall Great place with friendly people great price!

Be extremely careful when booking with #BestWestern hotels. I am a Rewards Member and I booked a room yesterday via central reservations. The main reservations rep mistakenly used my reward points for my room, and refused to let me pay for the room when I discovered the error at the hotel at checkout. The hotel told me to call Programs, who passed me off to Billing, who said this was between me and the hotel. “I should have checked my email.” It's hard for me to check my email confirmation, to make sure they did it right, while I am driving down the the freeway on my way to their hotel. I repeatedly offered to pay for my room, and asked for my points to be reinstated. Nope. Too bad for me. Not their problem. Well, after all of my loyalty, Best Western is no longer our road tripping chain.... which we are now able to do 4-8 weeks a year. The hotel itself was clean and just fine in any other way.

Nice hot tub and pool. Enjoyed the continental breakfast. About 20 miles from Zion National Park. Also had cookies and popcorn by the front desk. Coffee and tea are available after breakfast hours. A nice and clean place to stay.

Check in process was fast and easy, the girl at the desk was friendly. All of the staff was friendly. The hotel was nice but I got put in the noisy room and had to wait until my last night there to get moved to a different room. I feel this was because of a miscommunication from the morning shift to the afternoon shift. The staff was aware the room I was in is a very loud area and I feel they should put single travelers or adults only upstairs and away from the elevator and families with little kids running around on the main floor as much as possible. I'm sure I would have liked my stay better if I was in a different room. It was a nice location, not too far from Zion National Park.

The room was comfortable and the location was close to Zion. We enjoyed the breakfast. Nice hotel and great value. The linens and towels were really clean. I enjoyed the room amenities and there is a ready good market acroos the street.

Close to Zion (about 30 minutes from the west gate). Free breakfast from 6-9am was a plus for us getting up early to hike up to Observation Point (8 mile round-trip). Be careful making the left turn into the parking lot as cars coming down the highway could be fast and dangerous.

We had a nicely laid out room, everything was clean, the friendly staff, they offered a decent free breakfast. Being as close as it is to Zion National Park, we were amazed at the low rate they charged. We would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here with our teenage daughter and our German exchange student, so we appreciated having a room with two queen beds and a pull out sofa. The teens loved the pool and hot tub! The views are beautiful from the hotel too. We didn't use the fire pits, but that would be a great way to spend an evening :) The hotel is new and very clean. Beds are comfortable. The location is great too - very close to local restaurants and coffee shops. The shuttle bus to Zion Park stops right across the street. We also walked back from the park entrance one afternoon - a relatively short walk (even on my hiking sore legs!). Nice to leave our car at the hotel since parking close to the park costs $20 and driving into the park required long lines and limited parking. The hotel offers a free breakfast buffet: make your own waffles, folded "omelets" in a warmer, muffins, cereal etc. Not super great. We chose a cute coffee shop for breakfast the next day. Great place for families!

Got this hotel for an amazing discount on hotels.com and it was the best hotel i've ever stayed at. Went at a less busy time so the crowds were low, and hot tub always empty. The breakfast was absolutely phenomenal, they have two rooms of it! The room was HUGE, we got a standard king size and had a large couch and table to eat dinner on. Would seriously recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone.

Clean rooms. Nice staff. Good price and super close to Zion. Breakfast was free and very good [could have been a little warmer]. Only two washing machines for the entire hotel, makes laundry a struggle on a busy night. We are from New Hampshire and this was the best place we stayed during the 11 days we spent in NM, AZ and UT. Thank you and we definitely recommend this hotel.

Our soccer team had a tournament where all games were played in Hurricane. This was an amazing place to stay! The staff and hotel were extremely nice! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay around the St. George area!

We had reservations at the La Quinta Inn right next door. They were incredibly rude at check-in. So we went next door to the Best Western, they welcomed us with open arms. They were incredibly friendly and happy to accommodate us. They will have our business from now on. Thank you BW

Stayed for a couple of weeks at this property after our house sold. Hotel was clean and reasonably quiet and much more affordable compared to similar lodging in nearby St. George. Breakfasts were pretty much like most places of this caliber...not necessarily bad, but you get what you pay for. Room service was spotty. One day the came by long enough to collect the room tip I left for them, but not long enough to make the bed and clean up the bathroom. But overall, they did a decent job and I liked the room layout. King bed with a sofa, easy chair and desk. Perfect for a longer stay. For the coffee snobs, there is a great drive--through business just behind the hotel that I highly recommend. Great café mochas.

Very comfortable as we had been in the process of moving and it was nice to relax for a few days. The breakfast was way better than any hotel we had stayed in before. It really helped get the day going right.

Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Room was very delightful and very clean. Breakfast was amazing. So much variety. Everything was in close proximity to the hotel. Zion National Park is very close.

Great quiet location. Main highway to National Park is undergoing road work causing up to 30 minutes delay. We were able to avoid the traffic jam by leaving the hotel by 8am to go to the park. The free breakfast had more choices than most hotel - had both bacon and sausage patties, along with egg dishes. Would strongly recommend the hotel.

Spent one night here before we trekked into Zion National Park. Great value for the price! It was clean and comfortable and all the staff members were friendly no matter what role they had. Loved that breakfast was included in the price. Nothing overly special about the food but there was more of a range than some of the other Best Westerns we have stayed in. Not much going on around where the hotel is but having a supermarket across the road was really handy. Only issue we had was that the noise levels carry pretty easily through the rooms and halls but that seems to be very common in Best Westerns. Would definitely recommend to someone traveling through the area.

I like the decor better than the la quinta next door. Breakfast was just ok. La quinta has a better breakfast. Staff was friendly. One of the girls at the front desk was new and she did great. Her mentor was vert patient. Maybe cookies instead of mints upon check in or even fruit. The snack machines don't offer much. I got sick and wanted soup but nothing like that was available

We had a reservation and we had to wait for our room to be ready after we arrived at 7pm. We were not offered drinks (had to ask) and kids had to change for bed in the lobby bathroom. We were not offered any compensation. Customer service lacking.

Great hotel, clean, new, good breakfast, the problem here is Noise, zero sound deadening in the walls or ceilings. You can hear every conversation, every TV show, anyone snoring and every foot strike in the room above. If you don't mind sleeping all night with earplugs in, then maybe you'll sleep ok. If the hotel is full expect a lot of noise all around you. Other than this problem it's a great property.

This property is brand new and is the nicest Best Western I have ever stayed in. If I was going to Zion National Park I would seriously look at staying here. I was here the week before Christmas and the rates were killer. Got me thinking It might be a great place to spend some Christmas and go to Zion NP.

This property is well maintained and appointed. The rooms are nice and clean all throughout, including the shower/bath Breakfast is filling, with GF and vegan options Open parking (just over the wall from the cemetery) and close enough to ZION. For the attendants - Well Done!

Had me at hello! Warmest welcome off a 10 day road trip. Excellent location away from Springdale and the busy crowds--worth the drive from Zion. Also, best off-season rate for Best Western. Told them I may stay a second night, and did!

A lovely motel just 10-miles from Zion's Southern Entrance. GREAT breakfast buffet with ample seating in two rooms with do-it-yourself waffles & pancakes, scrambled eggs, etc.... Clean, well-appointed rooms and a friendly staff. Outdoor heated swimming pool and close to lots of excellent restaurants in La Verkin (such as the Stage Coach Grille) and the city of Hurricane.

Unfortunately the hotel was sold out, but Tracy was able to find us lodging at another best western in the nearby town. She was very busy but took the time to call and inquire about a room for us. Thank you again Tracy for your help to the weary travelers!!!!

M second time at this hotel, such a perfect location and well run hotel. you can be in Zion Park or in St George in less then 20 min. the breakfast is got what you need to get going (maybe a few to many carbs for me) but overall another great say at the Zion best western. thank you!

Hotel seems to be newly remodeled. My room was really clean, even the vent was dustless. The bed is comfy. Location is great. Cute coffee shop just across the street. However, It was a bit noisy since there was a highschooler group staying at the hotel as well. I could hear them running down the hallway and chatting till midnight. My room was right next to the exit which would be very convenient since I could just let my dog go wee quickly, but the lock was broken! So every time I went out, I had to walk all the way back from the main entrance. Please fix it. There were a lot of dog waste on the grass, which is totally unresponsible pet owners' fault, but I wish the hotel could set up more waste bag stations near the exits. There was only one. Maybe then some lazy people will be more willing to pick up after their pets.

I first time used Best Western and I was pleased by the service and cleanliness. They had a good breakfast with lots of selections. Location is great. staff are excellent. Room have mini refrigerator, microwave, Tv is big, and room is spacious. over all experience 10 out of 10

Surprise gem in the little town of La Verkin. Hotel was clean and friendly staff all around. Amenities up to date and modern. Value for the money - great! Breakfast was a good variety: eggs, biscuits, bacon, waffles, oatmeal. More than just a cold muffin and juice

The hotel was very clean. Fast, free internet. Good complementary breakfast. Friendly staff. Very good value for the price. Comfortable, pleasant room. Nothing fancy, but quite nice. Will stay here again.

Hotel is in the middle of nowhere, but good driving distance to the park. Queen room was quite small. Pool area is uninviting. Customer service below normal, cleaning lady wrote us a nasty note for not leaving tip the first morning. Breakfast was poor, again service staff untrained - taking trash out in front of a family just having their breakfast.

I had no expectations. I wanted a place in between Zion and St. George. From the photos, it doesn't seem impressive and I assumed it was an old motel. I was happy to be proven wrong. The place seems new, especially the room. I've stayed at a more expensive hotel in Springdale, and this one is way nicer. The only downside is the parking lot - a lot of guests had trailers attached to their trucks and they took up a lot of the spots. So I ended up having to park on the street. Other than that, the stay was comfortable and the people in reception were warm and welcoming. There's also a grocery store across the street which was a bonus. I would definitely consider staying here again.

In almost every hotel the rooms were exceptionally clean and in good condition. The staff were always attentive, and the free breakfasts, if available, have been of good quality and dining rooms have been clean and generously supplied. The LaVerkin hotel was another exceptional example of this. We were very happy and will stay here during our next visit to Zion National Park.

We stayed here 2 nights while visiting Zion. Not the closest hotel but let's be honest. Staying IN ZION is bananas expensive. So given that the drive was worth the cost savings. The rooms were nice and the breakfast was really good. We would consider this again if we were in the area.

Everything from reservation to check-in to breakfast x2 to deck- out was enjoyable and effortless. The on-duty desk clerk, Tracy, was knowledgeable and professional. The superior ;eval of serve by the entire staff is appreciated!!!

Excellent hotel! Very clean, great breakfast. Easy check in and check out. Close enough to zion national park (17 mi, 20 min). We didn't mind the short drive to the park from the hotel and it was nice being away from the construction and hubbub. Excellent vacation.

This is a good stop for a weary traveler. We had a wonderful view and our room was lovely. Breakfast was abundant and all staff were kind, friendly and gracious. The lighting was soothing and well thought out.

My husband and I were touring Utah's big 5 National Parks, this hotel was by far the nicest, cleanest and best value we found. Extremely well maintained, seemed like it had just opened. Wish we could have taken it with us for the entire time we were on vacation. Even breakfast was a great experience compared to the usual microwave items. Plenty of choices and no egg hockey pucks to be seen.

The reason for our trip was to visit Zion National Park and were very pleased with the location and access to the road to the park. The hotel is in a great location for restaurants, shopping, sight seeing, access to other locations and highways. We have already recommended it to several friends and would definitely stay again if in the area.

Quite, Clean rooms. We didn't hear doors opening and closing or noises above or next to us. Great buffet breakfast with many choices from eggs and toast, sausage and bacon to cereals, oatmeal, waffles, muffins, yogurt and juices. 20 minutes form Zions national park. Nice exercise room, business area with computer and printers. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great for families or business travel.

Away from the Zion zannies, the town of La Verkin is just 17 minutes away from Mt. Zion on west highway 9. This BW offers a full breakfast ranging from fluffy scrambled eggs, to tasty-do-it-yourself waffles and everything in between! Rooms are equipped with flat screen TV, coffee maker,refrig and hair blower. This quaint town while away from the crowds offers no restaurants but has a gas station,a super market and a 711.

We were traveling with friends through Zion. The room was very clean and we slept great. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. We were all pleased. My husband liked the hot tub. The restaurants in town were okay.

This hotel was convenient to Zion National Park, and within a 2 hour drive to Bryce. The room was very comfortable and the staff very accommodating. Parking was also very generous and a nice breakfast was provided. However, it was a little challenging to find good dinner restaurants in the immediate area.

Nice to stop at a place where the staff is so kind, the room is clean n comfortable in a convenient local outside of Zion National Park. Breakfast was very good with a variety to choose from. Honored special request due to disability.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff was professional and helpful. Enjoyed the stay very much. Had minor problem with exterior door and our key card, but not a big deal. Front desk was most helpful in finding good local restaurants.

Beautiful room and very clean. The breakfast selection was very good and the make your own omlet was a nice touch to the traditional premade egg patties (hard to describe but they are served at a number of hotel breakfast bars). The only negative is that the rooms could use more sound separation. We could hear the activities of the room above and beside ours as if they were in our room. Other than that, it was excellent.

Very clean hotel with nice staff and a good breakfast bar. Staff seemed to be constantly cleaning the building. Very helpful with questions about the area. It was close to Zion Canyon which we were visiting. They also had a nice list of local restaurants with recommendations.

This is a very nice hotel. It is only a 30 minute drive to Zion National Park. The price was very reasonable as compared to other hotels which were closer. The hotel is well maintained. I thought it was a brand new hotel. In fact, it has been open for over 3 years. The personnel are polite, professional, helpful and friendly.

Excellent friendly, helpful staff who even assisted me with making reservations at another BW for the continuation of our trip. Clean room/suite with nice TV and appliances. Decent breakfast (typical BW) with some hot food and fruit, yogurt, cereal, etc. Room rate high, no other choices offered. Lobby and entrance very nice. Cookies in the evening as usual. Would like to have cocktails or beverages available in the evenings. We are BW regulars and this location met our expectations other than the room rate. Would stay again if we could negotiate the rate.

Every single staff member I encountered was very friendly and helpful. We were especially grateful to Spruce, the GM, who helped us get a room so we didn't have to stay at the local Super 8. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. I didn't feel gross taking off my shoes in the room. Breakfast is awesome!! There are so many options! The hot tub was also delightful after a long day.

Convenient location for Zion (about a 30 minute drive) at a better price than closer hotels. Staff was accommodating but not particularly friendly. Clean. Standard breakfast. Didn't use pool or fitness center.

We were very pleased with our stay in La Verkin, UT. It was close to Zion and it was clean, staff helpful and friendly. Liked the stay so much that we joined the Best Western rewards program for future stays.

Friendly Staff keeps this immaculately maintained property in beautiful shape. I thought it must have just opened but it is here for three years. Most hotels around Zion are insanely overpriced. This hotel is a great value. Pool is fine, complete gym and easy in and out location near the highway. I will update this review at the end of our two night stay. To show the friendly care, we arrived slightly early before our room was ready, so we went to late lunch. At the Lin's grocery my daughter called Tracy at the desk to ask if the refrigerator in the room had a freezer, to decide if she should buy ice cream. Tracy assured us that yes the room had a small freezer and if the ice cream didn't fit she had a space in the lobby freezer! Way to go!

We spent 3 nights at this hotel while we hiked Zion National Park. The hotel is only 3 years old so it is has been decorated with comfortable furniture and amenities. It is a close drive to the park and LaVerkin and the neighboring town of Hurricane offered various restaurant choices.

Went down south to visit Zion national park, f found the best western hotel on expedia. The rate was reasonable compared to nearby hotels. We were pleasantly surprised at how clean and comfortable the hotel and rooms were, also loved that it was close to the park entrance. Would stay here again

Best Western Zion West Hotel is very close to Zion National Park so its really convenient to stay a few nights and have an amazing weekend in Zion without having to sacrifice play time for driving long distances to your hotel.

The actual stay in the hotel was good, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was alright. However 10 days after leaving we received a £200, (more than 2 times the price of the room) charge to our card. We called up to ask what this was in relation to and the manager said it was a smoking charge. We disputed this charge because we know we didn't smoke in the room and asked what basis this was on and the manager Srushti Mankodi advised "we found ashes in the room and several joints" - furious at these allegations we requested to see this evidence. Shortly afterwards we receive an email from the manager with 2 images attached which I have uploaded here. One appears to be tissue paper and the other a silicone packet from beef jerky. Since advising the management their manufactured story wasn't legitimate they have seized contact and refuse to answer.

If you want quality this is a good choice. Room are very clean and comfortable, staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with nice selection of items. Location was 18 miles out of the park, but was an easy trip each way. During the holidays or busy weekends this location was less expensive and worked out just fine.

BW Zion West is conveniently located to explore Zion National Park. It was approximately 30 minutes from the park (easy drive), and we wished we had booked a second night there. Staff was pleasant, room was comfortable, breakfast was great, room was reasonably priced. A great value overall!

The room was expensive but worth it for its proximity to Zion. Of all the Best Western, it was also the best we've experienced in many ways. The 9 of us in 3 rooms. The room was clean, queen beds were comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. Breakfast was served with ample seating in an open area with an excellent selection of food. Great customer service greeted us as well as sending us off. There were also tasty warm cookies in the lobby. if you are looking for cleanliness and spacious rooms with good breakfast near Zion, this hotel is for you!

We decided to stay outside of Springdale (city where Zion is located in) to save some extra money. Well worth it. Drive is about 20 minutes and the cities next to La Verkin, Hurricane, Toquerville and Washington City, have plenty to offer on down time. This hotel was right at the corner of the major streets, one leading to Zion National Park and the other into the cities next to it.

This was a great hotel - very clean and modern with excellent breakfast options every day. The purpose of my trip was to see Zion National Park, and I had been hesitant to stay here since it is about 20 minutes away from the town of Springdale - however the value of this hotel (excellent amenities for an affordable price) was well worth the extra drive time. I would definitely stay here again.

You could not Ask for a better location if you are planning to visit Zion and the surrounding towns. my family and I enjoyed to pool and breakfast. the coffee shop in the container right next door was interesting and the coffee was great!

A great value and everything seemed new. My husband and I, along with two of our best friends, stayed here after an exhausting day at Zion National Park- our room had high ceilings and enough room for all of us to spread out. This was the perfect alternative to paying the premium to stay in Springdale

First time I stayed at this hotel and my experience was great. The staff was in a good mood and very helpful. Everything was clean and fresh. And its a great location to Zions. I am planning on returning in a few weeks. This hotel is about 20 miles out of my way but I am willing to make it.

Pricier than other BW locations, but after days of driving and hiking, having a hot tub in the room and the option of a overflowing double- decker hot tub at the pool was much appreciated! The front desk staff were friendly and helpful and the location was right in the middle of charming Main St. Vegan food options were not hard to find and tasty drinks and happy hour were right across the street.

Came to La Verkin for a one-day visit to Zion NP. Hotel was kind of pricey. The hotel was comfortable, though. Rooms were decent size and clean. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good enough for our purposes. Just be aware that part of the food is in a second room. Staff was great.We'd stay again.

We stayed at the Best Western Zion Hotel in August 2017. We found the hotel to be well staffed, clean and very accommodating. We were very satisfied with our experience. The location is an easy drive to Zion National Park. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the hotel rooms were really clean. The staff gave us great tips for visiting Zion and also good restaurant recommendations around town The pool at the hotel is great--clean and easy to access. The breakfast was good, too. If we visit Zion again, we will stay at the Best Western Zion West Hotel again without hesitation.

Lovely hotel with easy access to Zion (at a much lower price than staying in the canyon). Great staff, good breakfast, good wi-fi, comfortable beds, nice pool, clean. Town surrounding has a grocery store for picking up snacks and such before heading into Zion National Park. Definitely will return!

Had the greatest stay at this Best Western Plus in La Verkin, in Utah. All other hotels close to Zion are double the price and not even close to the service, and comfort found at this BW+. Staff is so friendly, the rooms are large with a very comfortable bed, the breakfast has everything you'd expect, the location just a short drive to the park with half the price of the other hotels. Super place to stay if you're in this area! Kudos to you BW/La Verkin!

Just passing through and was not familiar with Area so booked here The staff was friendly and I got a large king suite upgrade as a Diamond BW member The staff was nice and helpful . The room was big and clean and the bed was good . The breakfast I thought was above average . I really liked the pool and outdoor hot tub looked great for families The issue is , it far away from everything and twice the price as St George . I felt that there are just and TONS OF GOOD CHOICES for single travelers and families in St George . I would recommend the BEST WESTERN CORAL HILLS , located in St George . It's just about a 40 min drive south of there . This property responds with a canned response, so I don't think they even read the reviews ? Prove me wrong ?

I'm a BW rewards member and I rarely give bad reviews, however, I couldn't let this go by. 1. The parking lot is way too small, forget it if you have a camper. 2. The doors were filthy (see pics). ALL the doors on our floor looked the same. That's what furniture polish was made for. 3. Floor hadn't been vacuumed in our room. 4. Couldn't figure out why the air wasn't working well... guess what, pulled the air filters... GROSS (see pic). When I handed them to the desk clerk the next day, she didn't say a word, but I understood the dirty look, (no pun intended) loud and clear! 5. Breakfast was super cold and the tables were as dirty as the doors!! 6. When our family came down to leave in the TINY elevator with our luggage, a staff member insisted on joining us with his big rolling tub of dirty laundry, pushing us to the wall for 3 flights of stairs. Really? A guest should NEVER have to ride in an elevator with dirty hotel laundry. Stay at the Abbey Inn in St. George... it's a BW too and about a 15 minute drive, but it's worth it!

Our two queen bed room was very cramped for four people. When I asked the staff for a larger room I was told that the layout for the two queen rooms. Glad we were not spending very much time in the room. Also, the AC fan was extremely noisy and finally had to turn it off. Internet and breakfast were good. The pre-check-in through my email had possibilities but my request for any early check in was denied.

The hotel is well kept and clean. Our room - 2 queen beds - was small, not spacious at all as we read in the reviews. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere but a relatively short drive to Zion, through scenic landscape. Breakfast was poor, mostly packaged items and pastry, toast, eggs and omelette nothing spectacular. Pool uninviting. Most sad part was the customer service. We stayed 2 nights and didn't have enough cash the first morning to leave for the room service, which we usually correct and leave accumulated tip the next day. Spent the whole day at Zion and by the time we got back to the hotel, we had a messy room the way we left it in the morning, nasty note from the room maid (Angela) and our keys were deactivated - certainly on purpose. I have been travelling the world and have not encountered this kind of attitude in my entire life. It is unprofessional, small minded and hurting the brand. It is obvious that we will be avoiding any Best Western from now on. Another example of poor judgement - Breakfast time is from 6am to 9am, which might be convenient for the staff but certainly not for people on vacation. Apart from that - a family sitting in the breakfast room close to the coffee serving area, finishing up their breakfast, and the cleaning person pulling the trash out of the service station right in front of their table. Zero respect to customers.

Hotel was well kept, clean and staff was friendly. Rooms were good size and clean. Breakfast was a decent selection. Great price for the location. About 20 minutes to Zion. Glad we chose to stay with this hotel.

Back in June we decided to take Ariadne trip to California to visit our son . Took our time to visit in different states on the way. Among many , we visited the Grand Canyon, Bryce national canyon, Las Vegas, and many other attractions.

The hotel was nicely maintained. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed 2 nights as we visited Zion National Park. Great breakfast and cookies in the lobby! I would highly recommend this hotel!

Staff is poorly trained on promotions and resolving problems including noisy guests. We had a child jumping above us in the room and when we noted it to staff it was not dealt with. When we checked in, the clerk argued that she could not take my AAA card because there was nowhere to add it to the reservation so that I could get the $10 reward card. The waffle machine did not work and there were lineup for breakfast

Great little hotel. Relatively quiet, away from St. George. Very clean and tidy. Cleaning ladies were very efficient and dressed as pioneers. Enjoyed the pool in the evening. Staff helped solve some small issues.

Very clean and comfortable. Near grocery and short drive to food in Hurrican. About 25 min to Tuacahn amphitheatre. Easy drive but dark road between St George and hotel. Did not make breakfast it was over by 9am.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was affordable and immaculate. The access to Zion National Park was good. While we didn't enjoy the free breakfast (strangely watery and salty oatmeal and cold omelets), we did love the spacious room.

Great location on the way too Zion National park. Hotel has that western feel. The breakfast was fresh and properly cooked. The bed linen was great, you can choose which type of pillows to use. overall i highly recommend Best Western Zion. You are close enough to the neighboring towns of Hurricane and Springdale. The hotel is located in the City of LaVerkin.

Clean and comfortable. Easy to Zion and other area attractions. Amenities close by for groceries and gas made it a great location too. Easy parking. Only drawback we had was that the complimentary breakfast stopped at 9. 10am during summer vacation months seems more appropriate.

This Hotel was very clean, easy to get in-and-out, and on the right path to enter Zion but not in the town that makes it unreasonable expensive... The staff was very helpful with our questions about hiking and food places.

We won of the hotel that was not too from Zion national Park. We chose this one because it looked like it had a good rating as well as a good rate. We were not disappointed at all. We checked in late after a long day at Zion. The moment we checked in we were greeted with a friendly staff member who was willing to go above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay. Although I had booked online and was unaware I booked a pet friendly room, she without hesitation upgraded us to a non pet friendly room. Bed was comfortable, and there was a great hot breakfast with a large selection.

Stayed here one night on way to Zion. Booked a queen, asked for and got an upgrade to king suite. Made for a great stay. Comfortable large rooms, quiet clean hotel, comfortable bedding. Breakfast was a surprise, a lot of variety and very tasty. Recommended.

A great place to stay, fantastic breakfast, and use of the hotel BBQ, plates and cutlery provided by the hotel, without a bar at the hotel, sit on the patio and enjoy your own beer, and wine, with a BIG BBQ steak, taking in the fantastic mountain views, sublime after a day in the park.

This is a geat hotel! Wonderful staff. Beautiful rooms. Super clean. Awesome and huge free breakfast. AND its AFFORDABLE!!!!!!!!!!! The ride to the zion is only about 25 minutes. Believe me, you can't get a hotel like this right outside the park!!!! It's worth the few extra minutes if driving!

Our family of four (2 adults, 13 and 12 year old sons) arrived in the early evening after a day at Zion. Chose this hotel after reading the reviews and its location away from touristy, more expensive Springdale. Staff was very friendly with a quick check in. Hotel and room were very clean. Enjoyed the outdoor pool and hot tub. Good coffee, great free breakfast. Two rooms of breakfast seating with food selections in each. Fresh fruit, yogurts, eggs, juice, breads. Staff kept area clean and food well stocked. Room was small but we were only there to sleep and didn't need much space. Outdoor temp was 107 and air conditioning worked great. Not many restaurants in town so drove to Hurricane for Lonny's BBQ. Family friendly. Would recommend to others.

This was an ok place, a bit far from Zion but still well within reasonable reach. The room was clean and neat and the staff very helpful. Breakfast was a bit weak, but we weren't there for the food. We needed a cool, clean place to stay for the night, and this was certainly it.

Stay was average, could improve on the hot breakfast items and variety. Just seem repetitive same items since we stayed 3 days and have stayed at other best western hotel before and had some more variety.

There is no much in La Verkin, just a couple of chain motels and 2 places to eat. Since we came on a Monday, both dining choices were closed for the day, and we had to drive to the next town for food. Choices there are limited as well. But if you want to find a place somewhat close to Zion NP without staying too close to the park, expansive lodging and chaos, this is a very relaxing and comfortable choice.

This is an outstanding hotel in what was otherwise a fairly non-descript little town. If you didn't know this was here - you might not stop. That would be a mistake. This hotel is outstanding and very clean. The STAFF is exceptional.

What a great place to stay about 30 min from Zion! Friendly staff, clean, great value, comfortable bed, great breakfast! I read reviews before I booked because everything was so pricey in Springdale. It was one of the best decisions we made on our trip. After a long day of hiking in Zion this was a wonderful retreat at the end of the day.

Located in a short drive distance from ZION national Park. The hotel and its amenities are very good and best value for their charging rate. Ones that want to visit the Zion park during the day and relax or sit in the water in the evening, this place is suitable. There is a groceries shop ,close the hotel. But the options for lunch, dinner or Restaurants , are very limited . Unless you drive to next town -Springadle

Our 2 night stay in this completely average hotel went from $200 per night to $300 for the second night.While this hotel is decent, it is not worth $300 a night. The word "gouging" comes to mind. I will not book with BW again. The Hyatt Hotel chain has much more affordable room rates with rooms that are 2x bigger. Shane on you BW.

Stayed on 4/21 through 4/23. A month later I get my credit card statement and see a $250.00 charge. Called yesterday and they said couldn't see or find the charge even after I gave them my credit card number. Was suppose to get a call back from a Manager but never did. Called again today and spoke to Genie, she stated that the charge was for some sort of damage. She was going to call me back by 2:30 once she looked into it. Never did. Tried to call Best Western customer service who was able to tell me that the charge was from smoking. My wife and I do not smoke. How is it that the hotel would just charge my card without even calling me. Again we don't smoke. As for the Corporate Customer Service, a joke, told me I have to deal with the directly with hotel (that won't call me back) I guess the Best Western name means nothing. I will be contacted American Express and disputing the charge. Won't stay in a Best Western after this fiasco.

If you're going to Zion this is a great place to stay. The road the hotel is on runs right to the park . The staff was very nice . The hotel is probably less than five years old and very clean . Full breakfast eggs bacon sausage etc. One tip . If you're going to Zion you better leave early

If this meets your budget and you want to be in the area, then a good choice. (Personally, if I was going to Zion I'd prefer to pay way more, and stay in or at least closer to the park. I had other reasons for my stay.) Friendly staff, clean rooms, good beds. Would stay again.

Our stay at the Zion best western was excellent.Itwas a restful place after a long car trip.Our trip has been three weeks long so far and this motel has the best of all the motels we have stayed at. We would recommend this motel to anyone.

BW was convenient for our trip home. The room was clean...everything worked. The breakfast was what you'd expect....four star. We expected we would get a free or better discount after the third night.

We took 2 days from our Vegas Trip to enjoy Zion National Park. This hotel is in a nice area and in a great location to enjoy the park, took maybe 20 minutes to get to Zion. Hotel is newer and very clean. The staff is wonderful and so friendly!! All of them from the cleaning staff to the front desk!! The breakfast buffet that is included had a lot more than most hotel breakfasts, with biscuits and gravy, omelet bar, parties, and fresh waffle makers! We would definitely recommend this hotel!

My wife and I had a wonderful time at Zion and this hotel was a great place to come back to after hiking the scenic trails at the park. What made this hotel perfect for us was it was the same distance from the northern entrance as the southern.

So not happy right now!!! We called to book a king room, and the agent said no kings were available, but they did have a king suite for XXX, was I okay with that? Since no regular king rooms were available, we went with the higher rate. We checked in tonight, and when we got to our room, it was this narrow little room with a small t.v., not the 40" and pillow-top king we were confirmed to receive. I called the front desk while looking at my confirmation email with room details, and she argued with me saying that wasn't the room confirmed. Okay, so I asked what the regular room rate was, and we would take the credit. Ironically, it was the same price as the suite. She was aggressive and uncooperative. I WILL NOT BOOK BEST WESTERN AGAIN--TRAIN YOUR STAFF!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hotel and room were very clean. Love triple sheeted beds, bath linens were nice. Hotel very convenient to Zion National Park. Had good recommendation for dinner at Stagecoach Grille. Breakfast service began very early so we got a great start on our trip to Zion.

Had a great stay just 25 min from Zion. Staff was excellent and breakfast was outstanding. Easy to get to Zion from here. Highly recommend staying here. Only downside was no eating places in walking distance.

My wife and I spent 3 nights here while exploring Zion NP. The hotel is perfectly situated to access all three areas of Zion (Zion Canyon, Kolob Canyon, and Kolob Terrace Road) with no more than 20 miles away from any of the entrances. The property was clean and well maintained. What really shone brightest was the service from the staff. The room was immaculate every time we returned from a long day's hike. The couple of times we experienced noise disturbances were promptly resolved by the understanding front desk staff. I highly recommend this Best Western! We can't wait to return!

Convenient 20 minute drive to Zion, and much less costly than lodging at the Park. Staff was pleasant and helpful, and the new building was enjoyable. Being new, there were still some minor flaws, such as the shower doors being reversed, but I expect those will be corrected soon.

The hotel is well located, new, clean, has friendly staff and free cookies in the lobby. I appreciated the apple juice available for purchase in the lobby and rich breakfast. Beds are comfortable, internet fast, corridors quiet. Big rooms.

Poor building and room quality, and poor food quality for the high nightly rate. Noisy room due to poor sound insulation. Need to upgrade food quality to what other Best Western Plus hotels offer. Need to utilize large wasted space in bathroom for larger vanity with double sinks, and towel bar in reach of dinky tub.

The staff was always greeting us and I never saw one of them not smiling or offering to help someone. The place was very clean. The breakfast was plentiful and hot and always on time!! The room was very clean as well and the entire grounds of the motel. We enjoyed our stay there and would definitely return. The location was convenient to Zion and very quiet.

Visited Zion NP and chose to stay in La Verkin. We are members of the BW club and generally choose to stay at a BW whenever possible. This was a good experience for us. Good location and very comfortable hotel. We will look for BW Plus hotels in the future.

Dog Friendly. Zion was booked solid and pricey so we stayed here - about 20 minutes west of the national park. Very clean rooms, friendly helpful staff, convenient to major highways. Very competitively priced.

We stayed at many hotels on this vacation. This was, by far, the cleanest and friendliest hotel of our week long trip to the parks. It's about 25 minutes from Zion. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We were happy to find accommodation in the insanely busy spring break period so for that we are grateful. This hotel is exactly as one expects from a Best Western. Clean, nice staff, no surprises. There is a pool and I saw lots of families use this. The hotel is a drive but not too far from the entrance to the south end entrance of Zion but you do need to give some thought to traffic conditions to determine your exit from the hotel to reach the park. The earlier the better. Basic breakfast included so that helps with the exit but I wish Best Western would do simple hard boiled eggs over those styrofoam omelettes. If you can't do a REAL breakfast, sometimes simple basic food is better.

Gorgeous location and beautifully hotel. Yummy breakfast and friendly staff. The pool and spa are located and designed perfectly. The two queen bed room was cramped and small; the king sized bedroom with couch was so comfortable!

For this class of motel, this is about as good as I've experienced. The people were all very nice. I also stayed at the Zion Lodge in the park, at more than twice the price. That was worth it for one night, because of the views. However, when I stay in the Zion area again, I'll probably do it the same way: one night at the lodge and the rest of my stay at this Best Western.

Great hotel, centrally located. We were racing the Zion 100 and stayed here. Close to the start and drove by it going to aid stations. Breakfast was good. Rooms were quite, and comfortable. Parking was easy and free.

We stayed here for 2 nights for a hiking trip in Zion and I was more than pleasantly surprised. Normally on active trips we are only in the room to sleep and shower, so I am not very picky as long as it is clean with no weird smells. This motel offered a lot for its price- compelling me to write a review since I rely so heavily on other guest reviews before booking a room. LOCATION: About a 25 min. Drive to Zion. This motel was cheaper than the ones in Springdale and I didn't mind the drive. There are restaurants in Hurricane worth trying- Stagecoach Grille had great home cooked food! ROOMS: Modern rooms that are refurbished with updated decor and amenities. Our double queen bed room was large and my husband and I never felt cramped. BREAKFAST: (Normally I don't care for free continental breakfast since it can be lame, but I need to explain...) Breakfast was plentiful. Again at chain motels I usually expect the basic packaged pastries, waffle maker, and cereal, but the breakfast spread here was varied! In addition to the aforementioned basic items there was an oatmeal bar, several different varieties of waffles, breads, bagels with different spreads. They even had Greek yogurt and fresh fruit. Many guests enjoyed the eggs, bacon, sausage gravy and biscuits. I personally thought the eggs looked funny, but at least there were many options. Overall, I appreciated the variety of breakfast food available even if the quality on a few items was so-so. For an all day hike at Zion, Best Western gave us the fuel we needed. Bonus-we even took an apple and bagel to store in our backpacks for the trails. OTHER: I did take advantage of the outdoor hot tub- it was a nice touch. After hiking the entire day it was a nice treat in the evening. The staff was helpful and nice. Hopefully this review helps. I will stay here again on my next trip to Zion!!

Hotel was excellent and close to Zions National park. We will be using them again in the future! The pools and facilities were clean. Location was good and is located between I15 and the park. Great breakfast

Newer hotel, very friendly staff. We arrived a bit early, we were offered fresh baked cookies and coffee. We only had to wait short 10 minutes. The room was spacious and very clean, the beds were comfortable and there was a choice of about six pillows. We would definitely stay here again.

I'm not convinced that this property deserves to get the Plus status in the Best Western chain. The room is very small with very little room to move around. There is barely space between the walls and the bed or between the beds themselves. There is a chair with foot rest that is so close to the wall and the bed that there is only a couple of inches between bed and wall. Seems to be very over-priced for the market area. Beds are very hard - like sleeping on the floor.

Went in during the off season (middle of November) and got the room for a wonderful discount. It was clean, comfortable and very nice overall. The only problem we encountered at all was a few minute delay in the water in the bathroom becoming warm. Once it did, it was great! I would definitely stay there again, even without the discount. Very nice accommodations and the breakfast was terrific!

This is a good Best Western. It's an easy 15-20 minutedrive to Zion NP but still very convenient to the highway. It's clean, comfortable, with good size rooms. A decent breakfast was served. It was very busy during our end of October stay, so the rates were probably higher than usual.

Springdale was all booked up, so we stayed in La Verkin for our trip to Zion NP. This was a well run hotel, still decently near Zion but more moderately priced. Clean, well run. Only issue was that the pool heater was out, so it was quite frigid--maybe 70 deg F in Oct. Decent breakfast included.

The hotel was clean. Looked pretty new. Typical free breakfast. This hotel had the worst pillows we had on our three week trip. Bed just ok. Probably would not stay here again because of the bed. For such a nice place, I think this hotel needs to up date their bed and bedding like other Best Western Plus hotels.. Location good for restaurants and about 20 minute drive to Zion National Park.

Our room was VERY small, Ttwo queen beds crammed in a room with a chair! smaller than most single rooms. should be a single room, not a dbl. No bell hop service, Oatmeal so thick couldn't stir it!!!!!

I am becoming a fan of Best Western. This hotel is just another typical example of a Best Western: very nice and clean rooms, decent hot breakfast, no hassle. They also status match to other hotel rewards programs and it is great having Diamond status because they give you a bag of goodies at check-in! Would definitely stay again.

Stayed at hotel for two nights. There was no maid service performed in between the nights. No explanation from hotel management on this problem. Desk clerk was going to contact the manager and did not hear anything from them.

I like the hotel, new and clean, but not even a fast food chain in town. I bought my supper in supermarket. The good news is the supermarket is very big and price is cheap. It is 20 miles away from Zion entrance.

Best Western in La Verkin was a spectacular experience for my family, hospitality was top notch and breakfast was a great edition. I recommend it to anyone visiting the area. It is a 20-25 min ride to Springdale, probably one of the most beautiful drives in the area. You are close enough where it isn't a hassle to go to Zion, but far enough away to pay normal hotel prices.

Stayed here while visiting Zion NP. We were very pleased with this hotel. The rate was great, and the room was fabulous two room suite with a whirlpool tub which was a special treat after a day of hiking. The breakfast was more than I have seen at other hotels for a long time, so much it took two rooms to handle all they had to offer. The staff was very conscientious to keeping the breakfast area well stocked and clean. Our room was modern and spotless. We couldn't have wanted anything better for what we paid. I highly recommend BW Zion West.
