Best Western Sunday House Inn

I was disappointed after getting to the hotel after booking when I noticed that it was actually more of a motel with the doors to the rooms opening to an outside balcony. The room was huge, bed comfortable, pillows a little hard. TV was old and small, especially for the distance from the bed to TV. Room was very dated with popcorn ceilings and a phone next to the toilet. Would be a better deal at around $60-$70 a night. Needs renovation badly. Free breakfast in the restaurant in the parking lot, kinda weird but not a bad hot breakfast.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The sink leaked on the floor which had carpet underneath. Made a terrible smell. The blow dryer didn't work and neither did the iron. The toilet didn't flush correctly. And the door didn't close properly and let all the cold air in. Breakfast was the most disappointing hotel breakfast I have ever seen.

Bed was much better than the last place we stayed. Breakfast buffet needs improvement. Very restful. Good location. Really big rooms in comparison to what you normally find now a day. Side chair was better than most. Desk chair was a little flimsy.

Room was very clean including carpet and very comfy beds. Area around provides relaxing feel with amazing hill country views. Staff were very nice and accommodating. Breakfast was provided in an amazing way to arrange to have breakfast at nearby Holiday Inn due to Best Western hotel breakfast area was not serviceable at the time of our stay. Very comfortable stay overall. Thank you Best Western for continuing to take care of your clients. More power to you.

Keep in mind this is an older hotel, but location is excellent, as well as customer service! What we liked was hot water, style of shower head, great TV channels, plus there was a fridge, even though that was not mentioned in the amenities. We would suggest getting a room on top floor cuz floors above us was creaky and noise from room kept us awake. Cleanliness of room could have been a bit better. Pipes were noisy, as well. There was no bath soap or bar soap.

The room well we arrived at the hotel just a little before 3pm. Which is what the hotel post as there checkin time. We were turned away saying come back at about 330pm. Remembering I had reservations and had just driven 5 hours and was ready to relax. But that was not to be the case. Came into the room after driving to the far back area which is good for sleep as it faces south. Noticed light out bedside. Looking at ceiling noticed must have have ceiling leak from room above repair of ceiling and painting was average at best. Noticed that lit looks like the sprinkler head was removed and taped and painted over. Went into restroom tum looked dirty but it was not just stained very bad. Noticed the the trime around the tub was not complete. And the chulking around the tub enclosure was not were well done. Turned on the shower water went everywhere are all cthe connecting points were loose after tighting all point up had a great shower. The toilet was as I suspected loose where it mounts to the floor but not so bad as to leak. Just a side to side rocking motion. The mini fridge worked great. TV was also good and the remote was in the room.

I look forward to staying here for the location, pool, spacious rooms, later checkout, and breakfast ease. There is no elevator here, but this is fine if you don't need a ton of luggage. We prefer being upstairs. The views of the pool or the hills are good from almost all the rooms. There are some shakey handrails. The AC is strong. The breakfast at the restaurant is worth getting up for.

I loved the style of this older building. The room was updated, quiet, and perfect for our one night stay. I especially loved how spacious the room was! The only issue we had was hair behind the bathroom door & a piece of dog food left from a previous stay. Nothing that will stop us from going back!

The carpet in rooms may be clean(don't think they are) but disgusting to walk on. Ice machine is out of service, has been for weeks. Lady in breakfast room, very unfriendly. Do not plan to stay there again.

Wow! What a disappointing experience. We have stayed in this hotel for family reunions in the area pre-covid and very much enjoyed it. We won't be back and don't recommend you go either. The overall cleanliness of the hotel on the outside is terrible. Nobody has bothered to clean the walkways to the rooms and the ground's landscaping has be totally neglected and is full of weeds. The pool has green algae growing all around the rim as well. They used to serve a full hot breakfast made to order and now have a self serve unappetizing set up that we skipped for a nearby restaurant the second day of our two night stay. The rooms were pretty clean and comfortable but it is an unattractive place to stay and we won't be back.

The carpet was sticky and wet (moist). If I had not prepaid a non refundable cost, I would have cancelled the reservation and went to a different hotel. We stayed and made the best of the situation. This is not what we expected from a Best Western facility.

Stayed because of full breakfast for kids. No breakfast was served on New Year's. Talk to the front desk associate, she showed a don't care attitude and said somene should have to you no breakfast on holidays. My wife said we paid for this service and we are loyal members and have been for many years. The associate never apologized for the inconvenience. We are Best Western Members,a military family, and we paid for a service we didn't receive during our stay. In our personnel opinion do not stay here with your family if yoy are expecting breakfast and a positive customer service experience. Will never never stay at this establishment ever again.

We were greeted with warm and friendly office staff upon our arrival. All our questions were answered, and we got settled into our room quickly. Our room was larger than anticipated, and very comfortable. We enjoyed a view of the pool and and garden area. We will stay there again when visiting Kerrville.

A clean and comfortable room at a reasonable price. Microwave and a large mini-refrigerator (without freezer compartment). Sink/lavatory in the room outside of the room with toilet and bathtub/shower. The Italian restaurant next door (where breakfast is served) is very good. I ate dinner there two nights (Friday and Saturday). Good food. Chicken Marsala and the Lasagna are both very good. I would have liked one softer pillow in the group, but I appreciated that they were full size and not filled with foam chunks. They were just a touch hard for my taste. I would stay here again. We had a room on the end, which was a larger room than some. There was a multi-night room discount; since we were staying two nights, this saved us some money.

Rooms were clean. We were there two days but did not request house keeping but we did get new towels. The breakfast was less than average. We did not eat it the second morning. Since the breakfast was not good we did not eat at the restaurant. My buddy's AC was not working very well the first night but they fixed it for the second day. Check in was easy and the fellow at the desk was helpful. Everyone was friendly. Overall it was a good stay.

Baked goods stale, coffee extremely weak, bagels rock hard, traffic noise at night, breakfast items over cooked, pancake machine was the only positive thing and " they ran out of batter Fri-Sun?? Really?

The room was very clean. The king size bed was very comfortable. But the AC unit needs to be upgraded it smelt and the auto fan would not quit running. The breakfast that is offered with your reservation needs some upgrading as well. Watery scrambled eggs and old hard bagels. A toaster was there but no loaf of bread to make toast. The staff was great and the location is ideal.

I've been staying at Sunday House for many years. The hotel has been in a steady state of decline. Beds, cleanliness, services. I've had it. You should choose another hotel. My wife & I found out at 10pm, when we got into bed, that it sagged so much it was like sleeping on the side of a hill.

The pool only had lights at one end, making it dark at night. The room smelled damp. The carpet was dirty and had saucer sized wet spots. We had to wear shoes in the room. The bathroom doorknob would not unlock, which meant you could be locked in or out of the bathroom! The breakfast was poor quality, serving sour milk, dry rolls and distasteful burritos.

Clean and a good value. Everything in the area is much higher. Just know It is an older property and things are not perfect. Our rooms were clean and we loved the pillow selection The office staff are the best! We would stay again.

We stayed here with our adult children and their boyfriends for a family wedding. The staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located near a shopping center and a variety of restaurants. Easy access to the highway.

The place is somewhat dated, but is adequate. They do provide daily maid service. Plug ins in the room were inadequate, Internet speed was OK. Fridge and microwave was good. And the Breakfast was fairly good with eggs and sausage, though we don't eat sausage. They also had fruit, yogurt and juice. Printer in the lobby was poor--barely got it to work to print one page. Mentioned to the desk that i needs to be replaced.

The bed was as firm as a pile of bricks. The room had no microwave, and a fridge that cooled only slightly better than the overworked AC unit. The floors shook. The parking options were abysmal, not very handicap friendly either. The steps were difficult to navigate (I think they had short runs, it wasn't very easy to get up them, I'm ambulatory but disabled.) The staff was professional, kind, and friendly. It's not their fault the location's ownership doesn't improve the property. We didn't feel like we needed to hassle them for the things that didn't work, they just want to earn a wage. As Best Westerns go, this was probably the Worst facility, not even on par with the local Motel 6.

Stayed here 3 nights. Visited Fredericksburg Trade Days. The pros: Larger room than most I stay in. Amenities included ironing board and iron, coffee pot, hair dryer. Housekeeping cleaned the room every day. Very good AC. The cons: Very small tv. No work station. Only a 3'x3' table with 2 chairs. Only found 1 110v plug I could reach. No microwave. The ice machine was at the other end of the hotel. There was a large parking lot across from our room (115) where 18 wheelers parked to sleep overnight. Their motors rumbled all night. Breakfast was served, but it was in the Italian restaurant that shares a parking lot with the hotel. You have to walk across the parking lot. The breakfast was typical hotel food. Scrambled eggs, sausage patties, cereal, bagels, yogurt, and juices. We got takeout from this restaurant and it was really good, with a nice wine selection. There is a Cracker Barrel about 100 yards away on the same side of the road.

Internet rate I paid online was not honored and there were additional made-up charged upon check in. Don't get the deluxe room, they upcharge you for it and it is one of the rooms that hasn't been updated and is disgusting inside. The extra square footage is not worth it. They charge a hotel price for a motel. Pool was gross and growing green algae and was so cloudy you couldn't see in. Ice maker broken. No Wi-Fi in room. Each time I called the front office to ask about these things, I was told they didn't know when pool would be cleaned and for wi-fi I was given a number to call the provider and report technical difficulties, when the issue was the motel wasn't equipped with enough wi-fi extenders. The room itself was abysmal and too many issues to report. The bathtub looked like someone died in it, had sprayed rust or blood or something else all on bottom, and I couldn't bathe my toddler. The door to the unit looked like it had been kicked in. Look elsewhere.

It's way overdue.... get rid of those musty, old carpets!! Just opening the door for the first time the smell was a bit overpowering. There was one light bulb burnt out over the vanity. The shower head needs descaling badly. You can't even put your face under it due to the needle-like jets of water emitted from it. The toilet is too low! 13" to the seat from the floor hits me mid-calf. We wanted the room a couple degrees warmer, so turned on the heater... Bad burnt smell which took a long time to dissipate. I couldn't check in when I arrived because of a "shift change" and the computer was down. This was overall a horrible experience and we won't be back.

Kathy and Jodi at the front desk are very friendly and helpful. We were most recently there for a family funeral and closing out my father's estate so the space in the room was put to good use going through boxes of photos and paperwork. The room was clean and comfortable. We used the mini fridge and microwave.

The room was clean but old. The mattress was terrible and needed to be replace years ago. Charged us $15 per pet-per night, but didn't tell us until we arrived at the hotel.. The breakfast buffet is not good - powered eggs, no toast, inedible sausage.

By far the largest room we had on our whole trip. In addition to the bed, a couch, coffee table, dinette table with 2 chairs. Would be great for a long term stay. Cracker Barrel within walking distance. Breakfast was in a separate building in the rear area of an Italian restaurant that was overseen by a silent unsmiling woman. Food items were not labeled and there were several items that we did not recognize. (Regional favorites?).

Hotel grounds and rooms were very clean the laundry person was very helpful the front Dess not so much. We loved the pool area and big rooms. Location was good and the Italian restaurant was fantastic

we stayed at this hotel 3 nites & were very happy with the place itself & our room. There was an Italian restaurant next door ( in the same parking lot) which had reasonabley priced food & the food was delicious. They had great service there. We were very happy with our stay & would highly recommend this hotel

Best Western Sunday House is ideally located on the main Street in Kerrville, Texas called Sydney Baker. Kerrville is in the heart of the Texas Hill Country and the Mecca for bikers community. Best Western Sunday House is ideal to stay at, it's very clean, nice service, nice location and reasonable price. I have stayed there repeatedly and will stay again and again in the future.

All around experience was very positive and I would definitely return as well as mention it to others. Full Breakfast included and easy access to complete area restaurants. Desk staff could not have been more accommodating

This hotel was great! Our room #206 was large, in fact I don't think I've ever been in a hotel room this large. It smelled good as soon as we walked in. The door doesn't open easily. I reported it. Down fall, no fridge or microwave and there is plenty of room for it. Bath towels are like bath sheets. Shower is phenomenal! I love all the shelving in the shower stall, I think the best ever! The shower head is one of those the size of a salad plate and it felt so good! The door knob from the bathroom to the vanity area, sticks! I reported it. Beds were comfortable. They were Queens! Maids were prompt to clean the rooms, always there before we were ready to leave. The front desk suggested the Italian Restaurant, it was GREAT! We went for breakfast the first morning, we didn't have much to choose from – eggs, sausage patties, cereal (no milk), 2 pastries left, not pancakes even though there was a pancake making machine there. We came about 9:15 and breakfast closes at 9:30, so maybe that is why. We never saw anyone to ask. That was our last time to partake of breakfast there. Breakfast room is in same building as the Italian Restaurant. If ever back in the area, definitely will stay again.

This was our second stay at this hotel, having stayed previously back in 2020. We were shocked at the obvious decline in this property in the two years since our previous stay! The guest rooms are dreary and need updating, but are spacious and comfortable enough. The heat/AC worked well. The biggest area of neglect is in the hotel's exterior. The wooden stairs leading to the top floor are peeling, cracked, and tilted. Very sketchy! We noticed one set of stairs was actually roped off with yellow tape due to broken, unsafe conditions. The rest of the exterior is dirty and needs a paint refresh. Having said that, the guest room was clean, and the bathroom had thick, fluffy towels and a nice "rainfall" shower head. You could do worse than this hotel, but you could do better, too.

Great sleep..friendly staff, breakfast was in another building, but the breakfast coordinators followed Covid protocol..the we wearing masks which was appreciated, as other places in Texas were very lax. It was served early which was a bonus

The hotel was cute on the outside and our room was comfortable. The beds were comfortable, and we really liked the accessibility to the second floor from the back parking lot of the hotel. You didn't have to walk upstairs. Check in and check out was quick and staff was friendly. We would stay here again.

The decor, mattresses, and hotel itself are pretty outdated, but the staff are friendly, and the rooms are large and clean. There was not a microwave in the room. Breakfast was good even though there was not any pancake mix available. There was a breakfast chimichanga and omelets, plus sausage and the regular cereals, yogurts, pastries and breads.

We selected this hotel based on the overall reviews and photos. Looked like a nice oversized room in the picture. The building looked like a budget 2 story motel. The door to the room was difficult to open at first but when it did, the smell hit us. A very strong mold odor. I immediately opened the window and that's when it was confirmed. Thick mold on and around window. We turned on the A/C which made it worse. Looking around the the rest of the room and bath it appeared clean except the inside of the bathroom door which was gross. The was no couch or chair like other rooms in this price range, only a small table and 2 uncomfortable chairs. After 10 minutes of breathing in the air my husband started coughing. There was no way we could stay any longer. I closed the window and we just left as we had no reason to believe any other room would be better than this one. Money down the drain. Avoid this place if you have any concern for your personal health.

very nice hotel, it is an older property but very clean and fresh, it appears to have been remodeled recently, the rooms are huge and nicely decorated, they served a full breakfast buffet which I have not seen in 2 years, I will stay here again when I am in the area

Very pleasant and quiet Best Western Hotel. It is an older hotel but very well maintained. Wear and tear are about as expected for an older establishment. Did not have a Microwave in our room and could have used it. Otherwise the room was very nice and was the largest accommodation of our three week trip. The first room they put us in had a loud banging noise coming from an adjacent mechanical room. We reported the noise and were promptly given a different, perfectly quiet room. Thanks to the Staff.

I spent 6 Straight Very Comfortable Nights & the service was great. Numerous Restaurants & Gas Stations within walking distance which helps. I Recommend Best Western Sunday House Inn if you stop/visit in Kerrville, Texas!

Overall, they had a room that was clean and quiet and in which everything worked. Only improvement would be to add mini fridges/freezers. The lobby was immaculate and staff friendly. Parking was convenient in particular.

This is an older Hotel but they are doing a good job on the up keep. Room was HUGE, CLEAN and the Staff was amazing. 5 - 10 mins to downtown Kerrville and took us about 30 mins to get the Trade Days in Fredericksburg. Did I mention how friendly the staff are.

Awesome staff, but no ramps to access pool area. Struggled up a steep staircase w no handrail to get to pool. Was very difficult. N9 ramps to elevated pool area and no guardrail at step entrance to pool. Definitely not ADA accessible. Wanted to swim there so much. Won't be going there again, back to Quality Inn across the street w indoor pool!

after turning on air and returning 5 hours later, it was just as hot in the room as outside-uncool! she offered us another room, it had been shut up and was horribly hot! we kept the room, and cancelled the rest of our three day stay there, older, clean, but needs work, nice girl at counter though

When booking and checking in with points be prepared for a hassle. Nearby road construction created a lot of noise. Poison oak everywhere on property. Night clerk was unfriendly and check in was long and overcharged for room

Older property, which is fine. Rooms are large, but somewhat dated. Pool area is ok. Many exterior lights out Very slow check in Disinterested attention at grab your own bag of breakfast which was granola bars

Older facility that is well care for. Excellent support staff. Restaurant nearby. Close to everything in Kerrville. Bandera & Fredricksberg within 30 minute or less drive. Buzzy's BBQ in Kerrville a must. Medina 16 miles away; be sure to visit the Apple Store & Ace Hardware in Medina. Both fun places.

The room was clean and spacious! Our room faced the outdoor pool which was surrounded by trees. I liked the atmosphere. The only thing I didn't like was how "old" it looked or that it was still a grab and go breakfast (yogurt, sausage biscuit, hard boiled egg).

I have stayed at this hotel several times before. The hotel has large rooms and a very nice courtyard, but a small lobby. They used to give their customers a coupon for a minimum breakfast at the restaurant right next door, however I think they are now in a severe cost saving mode. No breakfast for anyone. And their internet is way way subpar that is not working.

This Large hotel is older but very clean with new carpet and fresh paint. The shower surround was fantastic with a large grab bar and showerhead. The king size bed was comfortable and there was a large selection of TV channels. We would have liked to have a mini-fridge and microwave oven but did use the coffee maker and there was an iron and ironing board and blow dryer. The grab 'n go breakfast was good though it would be nice if they extended the hours for it a little instead of 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. It was convenient to have the vanity separate from the toilet and shower.

Loved the outside pool area surrounded by the hotel rooms. Felt like I was in my backyard and not in a hotel with all the colorful birds flying all around the courtyard. My 12,10, and 9 year olds absolutely loved the pool area and how spacious it was.

Our room was clean, updated, attractive . . . Everything was in working order and our sweet four- legged little girl was welcome. Very good overall experience, though breakfast offering was very skimpy.

Very convenient for accessing the good motorcycle roads in the Texas Hill Country. BW Sunday House offers reasonable priced lodging; our group has stayed there several times and are pleased with the accommodations.

Room was stinky, old carpet and the bathroom ceiling was coming down. Does not have a breakfast, just a fruit pick and only 4 seats in the lobby. Check in went quick but she seemed a little short. Check out was fine.

Was here for one overnight in December. Was visiting a friend in Fredericksburg, and it's significantly cheaper to stay in Kerrville than it is in Fredericksburg. You also don't have the crazy crowds here. The room was large. A little bit dated but everything was in good condition and everything was very clean. Although I was solo in my room, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had towels out for four people. I expect this in any hotel because I usually end up taking a shower in the evening and a shower in the morning before I go. I hate it when hotels put out one set for one person as they seem to be doing more and more lately. Not the case here. Towels and linens were all clean, bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet. Like I said, it was a big room so big, in fact, that it looked empty with the TV stand against a very bare wall. Not that I really cared, because I came in tired and left as soon as I got up. Given the clean and quiet room and the comfortable bed I would definitely stay back here again.

We reserved the room via their app and was told that they upgraded us to a non smoking room, didn't remember seeing that on the app. The room was missing a chair, but front desk said standard rooms don't come with a chair, but there was an ottoman. Who knows? We only stayed one night, the bed was comfortable, we didn't have breakfast, the pool area looked nice with many places to sit and congregate. We would stay here again.

The back of the hotel abuts I-10 and rooms are not sound-proof enough. Another side of the hotel currently has a vacant lot next to it and big trucks started firing up their engines at 4A, which continued for 2 hours. Had stayed at this location a few years back and noted the rooms were outdated. Decided to try it again. No improvement. This hotel needs serious updating, sound-proofing, and a deep-clean. (Lots of hard-to-get to areas were caked with old dust/dirt.) Kerrville hotels all seem to be sub-par and charge way too much, probably due to proximity to Fredericksburg. If there was a positive about this stay it was that we paid less here than we would have at other hotels in town.

Was passing through the area and stopped late evening. While this is an older establishment the rooms were not in terrible shape. The bathroom was old style shower tub and really dated the place but overall would stay again.

Lots of ESPN channels. Newer higher sink. Shower surround was new, but had mold around it. Bad odor in room. Peephole filled with paper, which was an issue because there were people in the parking lot all night. The beds were flat as pancakes. Not even a grab n go breakfast, even though we were told at check in there would be one.

The pool area looked very nice. Unfortunately, having a pet, you are required to stay in rooms on the west side of the building where freeway noise can definitely be an issue. We solved this by running the bathroom fan all night which masked most of the noise fortunately. Staff was polite and friendly, but not always what I would consider COVID safe.

This hotel was a good value. We were going to an event in Fredericksburg but stayed in Kerrville since the hotels were less expensive. It is only a 20 minute drive and was worth it. This hotel was very nice. The rooms are very large and the property is well kept.

I travel for work so I stay in different towns. I sometimes take my family so I always try to stay at Best Western's. They have great rooms that accommodate my needs. Great to go breakfast and a friendly staff.

We made a last minute change of reservation thru Agodas, an internet booking company. The clerk at Best Western said that the info for the booking hadn't arrived, and wouldn't let us stay. After an hour of back and forth, I called Agodas for the 3rd time and put their person on line with the BW clerk. The clerk said the info. hadn't arrived electronically and that she couldn't access the needed email account, and asked that Agodas fax the info. Agodas send the fax several times, but BW didn't receive it. We got a refund and booked elsewhere. I think the fault is BW's -- the electronics should have worked and Agodas said they sent the fax twice. Their rep repeated the fax number, so they should have used the right one.

I had a wonderful stay, I got in late late at night after having issues checking in at another hotel and was helped numerous time throughout my stay by Heidi. She definitely made my vacation so much easier and was so sweet while doing it. I would absolutely recommend this hotel

The room was reasonably priced and ideally located. Unfortunately the room had a musty odor. It's probably our fault that we did not report the odor. That is because we were extremely tired and didn't want to "uproot."

This was the worst Best Western or possibly the worst hotel I've ever stayed in! I didn't even want to give it one star, I wanted to give it negative stars! We arrived to a room that smelled like the inside of a disinfectant bottle and hair in the bathtub. We asked to change rooms because of the smell and dirty bathroom. They moved us only to stay in a worse room. No smell but the bathroom again had hair all over, a dirty bath towel and the the mattress had no mattress pad, just a flimsy sheet covering it. I have never seen this In a hotel room. And all this during Covid when hotel rooms are suppose to be overly clean!! I have no idea how they got a 4 star rating. The rooms are so gross and dated. Absolutely Nothing like the description. It has put a really bad taste in my mouth for Best Western Hotels. I thought they upgraded all their hotels. I felt I was in a time lapse back to the 70's. And a dirty hotel room or rooms is unacceptable.

Room have a very strong damp smell. I'm staying here for 3 days and my room doesn't have a fridge and/or microwave!? I ask about changing rooms and the front desk said that since I'm only spending two nights here that they didn't give me a room with what I need and that if I need to store food I can leave it at the front desk, WTF?!! I was also told that they don't have no more rooms available so I stuck here.

Took my daughter for a Kerrville Three Sisters motorcycle ride weekend, and again stayed at the Sunday House. Have stayed here three times before. This is an older hotel, but the building and bedroom was spotless and everything worked well. Great staff, comfortable beds, updated bathroom, and the room itself was oversized. If I had anything to gripe about I will they would add some Hill Country photos or artwork to the bare bedroom walls, and I wish our room had a mini-fridge. Beyond that, nothing at all to complain about. The staff is always friendly and there is a Cracker Barrel next door for breakfast before a morning ride. Always a good experience at the Sunday House!

All, this place is a no go. I walked into my room, and it was warm. I immediately turned the AC on and felt something on my ankle. I looked down and I was covered with fleas. COVERED. My son was in the bathroom, and I yelled at him to get out! We immediately ran outside, and swatted off what we could. The next day still finding fleas in my vehicle. This is a NO. Stay elsewhere. How did they not catch this when they cleaned the room? Or did they clean it? No, No,No... I let the front desk know what happened. I wouldn't say they were shocked at what I found. Stay at the YO Ranch. Never a problem there.

It's been a long time since I've been in a hotel room with a chain lock on the door. Or with a rubber mat for the bathtub. The room was clean but very outdated. While the photos and description said the rooms had refrigerators and microwaves mine did not. Apparently only some have those amenities. It could hardly be described as an inn. It was a motel with outside doors and no elevators. While driving through Kerrville I found this to be the rule rather than the exception. Still I felt that this Best Western did a poor job of accurately reflecting it's image online.

It's an older property, rooms are fairly dated but clean. Bathrooms have not been remodeled or updated in a long time. But it's clean, staff if nice. The pool is the draw, kids loved it and its shaded by old oaks. There are a lot of "nicer" hotels in the area but none with a pool like this. Its a pet friendly home, we woke up to dogs barking but if you aren't trying to sleep in it's no big deal.

Wanted to let readers know that this is a great hotel. Left something here and was able to get it back with help of the cleaning staff and the front staff. Pool was small but nice. Room for myself and my dog was really nice.

This is a wonderful place to stay in Kerrville. Conveniently located, we were minutes from everything. Rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in the area.

Shower head was broken, it wouldn't stay up The carpet was wet as if it had just been cleaned. Room smelled damp. the bed was hard. Neighbors upstairs were playing rugby or something. It was extremely noisy. Girl at check in was nice and fast

A last minute weekend trip to Fredricksburg left us with no choice but to find a room in Kerrville. That being said, was pleasantly surprised when we stepped into a room that was completely redone. The room was roomy with beds and pillows that were very comfortable, great water pressure and hot water, new tub with very clean fixtures, and very easy access from I-10. Hot breakfast voucher provided with adjacent restaurant. Good value overall.

Stay here when we go to this area. Great rates, older property which makes the rooms larger and the surrounding area is so nice to sit out and enjoy the views. The pool area is very nice as well..not your small basic rectangle pool like other hotels.

Nice clean and great price, helpful personnel, the hotel is conveniently located, there are plenty of good restaurants near by, also looks like a safe area I also believe that they have night security and ample parking lot.

Staff were very friendly and professional. The room was large, clean, and affordable. There were several eating establishments within walking distance. I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying there again.

My husband and I were in town for a wedding and stayed just one night. Our room was clean, large and comfortable. Check in was easy. You receive a voucher for breakfast at the Italian restaurant next door. We slept in so didn't use it. The hotel is in a good location with plenty of places to eat and shop nearby. If in town again, I will definitely stay here again.

Affordable double queen NS room was large and clean. Breakfast was at restaurant next door - three choices courtesy of the hotel. Right off the highway. Kerrville is a medium-sized town but has restaurants and easy to navigate.

I wish I could remember her name but the lady at check in was so friendly and made sure to have our requests taken care of! The rooms were quite large and nice! The cost of our stay was inexpensive. The breakfast and restaurant were very nice. The staff at the restaurant was friendly as well. The view from the hotel is beautiful! We hope to visit there again one day!

Free breakfast was fantastic, made to order by local Italian restaurant right next to the hotel. There was no refrigerator in our room was the only downfall. And the lady at the front desk was awesome.

Meh. The room was mediocre but did the job. We got a noise complaint, but the floors are just noisy. We were walking on eggshells. It was hard to get the shower at a tolerable temperature. The water was either boiling or freezing.

We needed a place to stay after driving for 13 hours. Room was nice, roomy and quiet; great for sleeping. The front staff was very nice upon check in. The best part of our stay was the breakfast. The restaurant next door served us eggs, potatoes, bacon & toast. It was really good; we had eggs & bacon from California to Texas and this was the best of all our free breakfasts. It was cooked just a bit different, not sure how but it was really tasty. The restaurant was Italian, I only wish we could have stayed for dinner; I bet it was terrific. We were able to see the surrounding area when we left. What a beautiful town. As a side note, we had stopped at the Holiday Inn Express, next door but they were booked up. The front desk gentleman called the Best Western to see if they had any available rooms. What great customer service from both facilities.

The 3 people I encountered in the office were awesome and helpful. However, the first night in Room 209 was not a restful stay at all. The bed had no padding and the coils stabbed us all night. I requested another room for night 2 and was accommodated. Room 2 (120) smelled very musty. Plenty of hot water, ceilings are thin and you hear your neighbors. Had to cancel night 3, not what we expected.

We had a great visit to this hotel. The room we stayed in could have used a little updating, but it was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast could have been better - it was a VERY small option, but the stay was very enjoyable.

Front desk was extremely rude on check in and check out. They would not let us check in at 2:30pm and insisted we had to wait until 3pm. They called us after we had checked out saying we left all of our belongings in the room, which was untrue. Entire motel smells like smoke and is extremely out dated.

My husband and I spent a night at this hotel while visiting Trade Days in Fredericksburg. Only about 30 minutes away and much more reasonably priced. This is an older hotel that was purchased by Best Western and upgraded. It was clean, modern, our room was large and the desk staff were very competent. The big surprise, however, was that there is an Italian restaurant next door with really good food. The restaurant will deliver to your room. They bring fresh, hot rolls to your table before you even order! The best part, however, is that you can go to the restaurant for breakfast. There you will be offered several options, cooked to order, on REAL plates and served to your table. How refreshing that is from all the other hotels that you have to scrounge around at the buffet type service counters and eat on Styrofoam. We had eggs, bacon or sausage, grilled potatoes and toast. Pancakes and other options were available as well.

Employees need to be trained on customer satisfaction. Very sad restaurant environment. Breakfast is small and limited. They charge for drinks and no yogurt or fruit is offered as their card indicates. No extra toilet paper rolls in room.

This hotel is quaint hotel with a very comfortable room. The all-wood lobby gives you that "Hill Country" feel when you walk it. The room is quite large (sofa / bed / desk along with bathroom facilities. The bedding was comfortable (although the pillows were a bit on the thick side) The balcony outside the room was very nice. The free breakfast at the Restaurant next door was great. Some might say that it's not a newer hotel, but I think the amenities/overall configuration are appropriate for a hill country Best Western. Overall, a good value for the price.

I'm not sure if all the rooms are like the one we had but it was really big and comfortable. I mention the size because there are 2 rooms located directly above the front desk that have a short hall to enter them and only them. Our room was much larger than expected so if you like the space you could try requesting one of the rooms above the front desk. The room was clean. It had a desk with chair as well as another sitting chair. Bed was comfy, but nothing too special. Bathroom was clean with good water pressure. Wifi was good. Breakfast offering sends you to an Italian restaurant that shares the parking lot. It was simple choices, either eggs with bacon/sausage or pancakes with bacon/sausage. I "think" both come with potatoes. Parking was plentiful. Service was good, friendly staff. Location is great, very accessible.

There were some kind of a motorcycle event going on. The hotel room was extremely quiet. With all the shenanigans that was going on out side I never heard it in my room. I did not hear traffic moving, sirens, doors slamming, people climbing up the stairs. It was the most quietest hotel I have ever been in.

Desk staff was friendly. Able to check in quickly w/o issues. Room was large, one kingsize bed with desk and easy chair. Room was clean. Did not have any noise issues other than some guests in conversation up until about 10 PM in available outside seating. Our room was at rear of motel, the farthest removed from the street. Bed was comfortable. A/C - heat unit worked fine, ended up using both settings as temperature changed during our stay. When checking out, I asked if they did continental breakfast. The answer was no; they send all guests to restaurant located on property with a voucher. That learned, the food there was disappointing. Average at best, some of our party would have rated it less.

The over experience was average. The room was large. Had leak in shower that leaked all the way into carpet going into bed room. Leak didn't appear to be new? Upon leaving I did advise of problem. Priceline was Great!

Dont stay here. It stinks like smoke and is in need of serious updating. I think the beds are just as old as the hotel and the hotel appears to be at least 40 years old. Carpet is the same way. We stayed one night and my kids always travel with their own pillow and blanket. After one night their pillows and blankets plus all of our packed clothes smelled like an ashtray at a bar. Luckily it was only a halfway point to our final stop and we only stayed in the room about 6 hours. Dont expect to sleep at all unless you like falling into the middle of the bed and using moist sheets.

Celebrating our 55th anniversary. Very clean and fresh smelling room, comfortable bed and the television quality was very good. I would recommend this Best Western Sunday House to family or friends. Stayed here many and we will be back.

The front desk staff were rude. I called 3 days before to confirm reservations, made one small change to one of them which ended up not getting resolved. Once we arrive the lady at the front desk was very bitter. Did not seem like she was having a good day. Instead of communicating properly, she was giving us room numbers, which had no meaning. We were talking number of beds/type of rooms. The only thing she did that was helpful was to take off the fees from the initial modification that was on them. She gave us another room with the same last name under the reservation. Then called to let me know the mistake she made, then promptly turned it back around and said it was our fault. On the phone and in person the customer service was terrible. When I called days prior to the stay, I asked if it were possible to make a change. The lady huffed and said "ma'am I just need a last name"... but I was just asking if it were possible. She could have re-phrased it as "May I have your last name and I'll check your reservation?". Her tone made it seem as if I were inconveniencing her. My group was in town due to business and leisure.

Our room had no refrigerator or microwave. Stayed here two nights and found many ants in the bed on night two. My wife woke up at 3am when ants were crawling on her arms. Put many of them in a pill bottle and brought them to the front desk. The clerk comped us the second night. The air conditioner was too loud to keep on so we shut it off and were hot all night.

Stayed here for a couple nights during a 2 week motorcycle trip, have been staying at BW the whole trip and this one did not disappoint. My wife needed a watch battery and the staff recommended a locally owned jeweler which saved us money.

We had a service dog and we were placed in a pet room. The odor was so strong and unpleasant. We cancelled our second scheduled night. The towels were very scratchy and there was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom.

Old cheap beds, little furniture, old toilets, old motel. Breakfast was off site and one serving at a nearby restaurant. Afternoon staff wasn't friendly but morning lady was nice and gave us a different room. They put money into remodeling the lobby to fake you into beleiving you are getting a modern motel. No refrigerator or microwave.

This is an older property with awesome character unlike most of the newer "box" hotels. The free breakfast at the restaurant is so much better than an in house buffet. Pool area is so nice and relaxing after a long day.

It's an older style hotel with doors that exit to the outside. Our room was clean and neat. Disappointing that there was no fridge. And the snack and drink machines were separated. But wow what a pool area. Very nice. The free breakfast was non existent. They have a deal with the italian restaurant they share the parking lot with. Horrible service there so just plan on going out.

This facility is old and has no indoor hall to access rooms. The carpet and room appeared to be clean but had a slight musty odor. There were cracks and wall damage covered up with stucco and paint. There was a creepy looking crack in the bathroom where the floor met the wall. The entrance sidewalk was filthy with debris. This place is more like Econolodge than Best Western quality. We chose to relocate.

I hate 3-story, cookie-cutter "hotels". This is definitely NOT one of those! The grounds were very beautiful, especially the courtyard surrounding the pool. The layout is such that even though its a two-story, the stairs are virtually unnecessary - you're basically parking in front of your door or close to it + no confounding elevator! The retro-style ice machine and "Amana" brand room ACs were maintained in perfect working order. The rooms were large enough to easily accommodate a small fridge and microwave, which I highly recommend. The only drawbacks were a fairly heavy musty smell upon our entry to the room - recommend equipping the cleaning staff with sprayers of "Fabreeze". Another is the spots of Black Mold found on the upper part of one wall in the bathroom. It amounted to less than 1 sq/in in total area but left unchecked, could become a hazard to guests as well as your business. We just left the fan running to insure any spores were carried up and out. Take care of this wonderful property because I want to come back here every time I'm in the area!

We go to hill country a lot and enjoy staying at this hotel every time, it is right off the I-10 and allows pets, we have a small Maltese. It has big tress and is usually very quit and always clean. The pool is a nice size and is enjoyable to swim or just sit and read.

Check in was fast. Tony (desk clerk) was very friendly and helpful. The room had the standard amenities we have come to expect from a Best Western. We slept soundly and enjoyed the "free" breakfast at the restaurant next door.

The room was dated but fairly clean. There was an “old hotel” smell to it but it wasn't overpowering. Don't use their breakfast coupon for the restaurant next door unless you want crispy scrambled eggs and raw bacon.

Love the hotel. It was clean, comfortable and enjoyed the pool. Free breakfast at Bella Sera and staff was very friendly. Would have liked to have a refrigerator or microwave but overall we enjoyed our stay very much.

Staff were very nice upon check in. Room was nice and well presented. Bed was comfy but air con very loud at night which kept us awake a bit. Pool was lovely. Clean, quiet and relaxing. We were given a breakfast voucher to use in the restaurant opposite with a few good options to choose from. Unfortunately we didn't wake up early enough for this so I can't comment on the quality.

This hotel needed some TLC. The grounds could be even more beautiful with a good scrubbingnor even a leaf blower. Finding.. thankfully dead...cockroaches in the walkways to the rooms isn't appealing. The rooms are large but small must, like damp carpet. I believe it it a diamond in the ruff, but am not sure we would stay there again.

For a small town, the BW is a great choice. Great location, nice clean room, hot shower, quiet A/C. No complaints except for no fridge or microwave in room. Also a plus is the free hot breakfast that is served next door; obviously a superior alternative than powdered eggs at the HI Express.

A wonderful stat was experienced by my wife and I at Best Western Sunday House Inn. The amenities were great including a wonderful area to sit by the pool. The Sunday House was close to areas we intended to visit, so it was uncomplicated driving to these areas. A nice Best Western alternative was breakfast at a restaurant adjacent to the motel.

The service was good. Very peaceful and relaxing. The pool was good. Had a king sized bed which was comfortable. The rooms were clean and had a microwave and compact fridge. The only thing about this Best Western was its an older one but service was excellent.

It was almost like being at home. The room was spacious, clean, and well-furnished. Amenities were available and staff members were friendly and welcoming. Beautiful, relaxing courtyard surrounded the pool. If you are on the road, this is a great place to stay!

Found this hotel on Expedia. Huge King room on second floor with large bathroom and great shower head. This is an outside corridor hotel so lots of noise when people start leaving early. The breakfast is served at the Italian restaurant next door. Actually very good cooked to order eggs, sausage, potatoes, toast, coffee. Probably will not stay here on next visit to Kerrville. Newer hotels with indoor corridors close by.

Stayed here about 3 years ago. Efficient, friendly, early (11:15 a.m.) check-in. Thanks Ashley! Large room on 2nd floor, sort of facing a large, tree-filled, lovely natural space with a small pool. Hot water and good water pressure in the fairly small restroom, with a sink and vanity outside the restroom ... yes, old style, but adequate. Large king bed, alas, lousy mattress (overly soft, would be bad for multi-night stay — that is why I didn't give excellent review, just very good). Breakfast included at restaurant next door (approx 100 feet from lobby). Anyone complaining about the breakfast location is being ridiculous. Bella Serra Restaurant, nice breakfast — I had eggs, sausage, potatoes, and toast, with coffee. This place is on main road (Hwy 16) into town. Easy access to all the tourist spots (in my opinion) or wherever. I have no doubt (as I checked), that there are nicer, more modern places to stay. But, at $85 for the night, taxes included (on Priceline), with breakfast, great value.

Planning our first trip to the hill country we picked Kerville as out base to go out and explore our stay at the best western Sunday inn was very pleasant clean room very nice shaded area next to the pool to relax around the area did seam to be a little noisy due to traffic the breakfast was served at a restaurant adjacent to the hotel which was ok not the best or worst all in all very satisfied

The buildings are very tired and dated. It is an actual motel in that the door to your room is on the outside. They have done a pretty good job of updating the actual rooms but not bathrooms. I will not stay there again. There are much nicer hotels in the area for not much more money.

Our party took three rooms, we were very pleased. Have stayed at this hotel many times over the last few years. I highly recommend it to business friends as well as family. We find the location very convenient to Interstate 10, easy off and on without going into Keerville.

Quite little hotel just off the freeway with Plenty of amenities close by. Charming lobby entrance with large guest rooms. Only thing missing was a refrigerator in the room and the complimentary breakfast didn't start till 7am. After I left each day.

I've seen this hotel from the interstate due years, but have never stayed. Today we decided to stay in Kerrville, so we stayed here. The king room is large and comfy, the beds are just right and the hotel staff has gone above and beyond. I don't know how old the hotel is, but it looks like it's been updated, the rooms are nice and clean and the best part is a cooked to order breakfast. We sat by the pool and just enjoyed the serenity..... You could hear the hiway, but in the distance.

This hotel was a blessed find after a day of driving. Good location, easy to get in and out of. Has a quaint Bavarian feel to the exterior. Inside the room was pretty spacious and clean. Really appreciated the fact that they don't spray room "freshener" all over like other hotels. Beds were made so well you could bounce a coin on them. The lady at the front desk to check us in was very sweet and accommodating. The lady the next morning to check us out was just as sweet and personable. Too bad we didnt get to use the pool (too cold and weather cold), but we went and looked at the courtyard, it's beautiful! We slept in and didn't attend the breakfast at the restaurant next door, we were tired and too comfy! We did enjoy the great coffee and selection of creamers in the lobby. We highly recommend.

We stayed here for one night while we attended a wedding not too far in Rocksprings. When we arrived I wasn't thrilled by the look of the hotel, but I try not to judge a whole lot based off of the first impression and exterior. The service at the front desk was nice and fast and very helpful to whatever questions I or any other guests had. Our room was a big, double queen suite. It was plenty big for our family of 4. I could tell the room had been updated because of the decor and furniture. It didn't quite match the feel of the outside. The room felt clean but there were several things that really brought it down. One minor thing was that the room was so big but the tv was a bit small for that size of the room. The pipes of the plumbing in the shower were sticking out of the wall. There was a piece of ceiling that was falling from what looked like water damage and there was a small stain on the floor from it as well. The walls were so thin we could hear every cough and sneeze from our neighbors and I can only assume they could hear our kids laughing and crying at times. And we could hear the guests above us and their every step across their room. We didn't really use any other part of the hotel, so we can only comment on what we did experience. Overall, it wasn't a horrible stay but I don't think we will be back to this one again. I think for someone just needing a night's sleep while traveling it might be great for them, for the price but not for families with small children.

had 2 queen beds , table and 2 chairs, but no easy chair or work station desk with chair,elect. outlet, and light. very clean room and nothing found in my bug inspection. parking lot could use a pick up Italian rest. just next door. We got a carryout dinner which was very good. Breakfast selections offered free at the rest. We were in a hurry and didn't partake. would stay again as a vacation stay

Motel is old, room was clean but we were on the ground floor and it sounded like a bowling alley when the people above us moved around. Breakfast was in a restruant and service was slow and food not that great plus never offered a second cup of coffee. I think we will look for a different place to stay next time we travel thru.

Rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. Some updating has been done but still needs some TLC. Our original room had a commode that needed repair. The staff arranged a new room guickly. Breakfast in adjacent restaurant was very nice. Overall a pleasant stay.

Spent two nights at this very tired property. Had it not been for the lovely garden/pool area at the rear of the hotel, we would have checked out after the first nights stay. Breakfast (not the normal Best Western buffet) was offered at the Italian restaurant next to the hotel. Again, very disappointing. We went in search of better fare and service at a local restaurant on the following morning. Our next stay in Fredericksburg will be at a different hotel. Sad to say we would not recommend this Best Western property.

This is an older property with a lot of character. And I would love to return when it is seasonably warmer to enjoy their beautiful pool area. The rooms are fairly basic, but they are clean and comfy, with a nice hot shower. The bathroom itself could use an update, but that doesn't matter as much to me as reliable heat and pressure. If I were to own a property, this is the place I would look for.

Traveling to New Mexico and stopped for one night. The room that we got was clean and very spacious. Also the free breakfast is very good, right from an Italian restaurant next door to hotel. Cathy, front desk clerk was very friendly and welcoming. My young daughter forgot her two elfs in the room and Cathy was very nice to wrap them up like a Christmas present for my daughter. Blessings and 10++ for that!! My daughter was very happy! We will definitely stay in that hotel again.

Typically comfortable Best Western, nicely kept property and pleasant staff. The partner restaurant is next adjoining - a nice stroll over for breakfast or dinner. I guess the weight of the overall impression was due to the room location. A suite overlooking the pool area, tucked back in the corner, with a spacious area to sit outside. Neither time nor weather made the sitting outside feasible this visit, but I am looking forward to a more leisurely schedule next time :-) I really enjoyed the toiletries with argan oil base, too :-)

nice place and close to everything if your visiting this area, we drove to fedricksburg , about 20m , nice drive thru the hill country , great restruants near by, river trails, downtown has a lot of neat places to visit

My main 'downer' was no minifridge or microwave - very important. NOT what I expect from Best Western, maybe Mediocre Western. Breakfast at nearby Italian Restaurant was OK ; however I have had much better at other BWs.

I couldn't go home due to high level water over a creek. This hotel was very accommodating in helping me get checked into a room last minute. Great place to stay due to friendly staff, clean and quiet rooms.

Rooms were on outside of building. Bed was really bad. All rooms need make over. Have to go next door restaurant to get limited meal. Only one person on staff. Really disappointed. Old motel was turned into Best Western. Not a “3” star.

I flew from Germany to San Antonio and wanted a place about an hour out of town to reduce the drive time to Lubbock. This place was the wrong choice and I am a Diamond Elite BW customer. Room stank like the carpet was cleaned but not dried and aired. My wife tried to call and the fro t desk staff was too busy having a conversation to transfer her then said "maybe your husband should call you." She again stated I am calling from Germany can u pls pass me to his room, then he did. Overall, rough first night of this trip. Internet is SLOW too.

The hotel is quite big with busy roads front and back, that said, the room we had was quite quiet overlooking the pool. The rooms are a good size with all usual amenities, apart from the lack of a fridge, microwave and a cover on the ironing board (not that I was planning to do any!) It was perfectly nice with good parking, a lovely outlook with very friendly and helpful staff. The one downside was the breakfast that was served in the adjacent restaurant. We both felt very unwelcome, everything was far too much bother. We only ordered oatmeal and toast, there was no brown sugar or raisins or anything really to go with the oatmeal, she brought out a bottle of cinnamon and said "that's it". Only one slice of toast with the breakfast, I asked if there was any juice and was told "you only get one drink with the voucher, you;ve had coffee, if you want juice you will have to pay for it". The attitude of the waitress left a lot to be desired, to such an extent we would not return to the hotel. Shame really.

Best Western Sunday House was a very pleasant stay. The exterior may need updating but the room we had was spacious and clean. The pool area is great and peaceful. Next doors is a decent Italian restaurant with reasonable prices.

I had a board meeting in Kerrville and I will admit that i did have to book late because of the chaos going on at the time. So I roll in to this Best Western, and i mean that literally, I am in a wheelchair. I check in and one of my questions was, " The room is handicap accessible right?" Her answer was, "It is now." As you can see from the pics there is no way my wheelchair can fit through the bathroom door and if it did there is no way a wheelchair would fit in the bathroom. On top of that I really was scared to plug anything in as the outlets did not look all that safe or secure. This Best Western is in Texas and it is August. The gapeing chasms in the doors weather stripping made it hard to keep the room at a comfortable temp. Needless to say I will not stay here for any other board meetings.

This is a very great hotel to stay at in Kerrville. Reasonable prices with a great breakfast and swimming pool. Perfect for a family trip whether just shopping to see a Gibson's or checking out the Guadalupe River

A great family hotel for adults and kids. If you have kids who enjoy swimming, they will love the pool. Everyone was very respectful of the time. After 10:00 pm, all was quiet. Breakfast is great. Instead of the traditional break-room breakfast, the hotel issues a voucher for the Italian restaurant next door. A full, hot breakfast is served - cooked to your liking!

We stayed at this hotel for 3 days. The rooms are bigger than normal rooms and the beds are ok. There was definitely a moldy odor to the room we were in. Check around before staying here. The breakfast included at the restaurant next door was quite good and the staff working there are great. Every morning we woke up to some other guest blasting hard rock music. The staff didn't do anything to stop it.

We stayed here for 6 nights for a family reunion. Our room had been somewhat updated, but still has popcorn ceilings. This motel was very quiet compared to newer hotels, such as holiday inn express or Hampton inn (where we frequently stay). The first 2 nights the hotel was full and only once I heard someone come up the stairs. We were on the backside by the pool and by the stairs. Never heard anyone outside or next to us. The beds were small but comfortable, air worked great. Would like it a bit cleaner. The corner in the bathroom floor looked missed. Have seen that in much nicer hotels. Over all maid staff was helpful and accommodating. I'm pretty picky and ended up feeling perfectly comfortable here. The first impression wasn't astetitically pleasing, but slept well. It needs new railings and gutters cleaned and fixed. The pool area as others mentioned is beautiful. The outside was kept clean.

So . . . We typically stay elsewhere for Camp pickup, but it was booked. This was nearby so we decided to book based on the four star ratings. The room we were assigned is wildly spacious, which is awesome. The courtyard is truly beautiful. My husband and I thought, “man, what have we been missing out on all these years?? Sure the exterior and the rooms evoke a 70s vibe, but . . . ” Then . . . What is not so awesome is that the bathroom is CRAWLING WITH ANTS. And when I called to share my discovery with the front desk, I was politely told she “would tell my manager in the morning.” Meanwhile, I am trying to shake ants out of towels and wipe ants off the toilet seat while my children shower because they will lose their minds if they discover this. Thoroughly disgusted? Yes. Will I ever stay here again? That's a no. Can I not stop itching all over because I am now imagining them crawling all over me? Nope. Looking forward to a sleepless night while my friend at the front desk chills.

Front desk ladies were so pleasant! We checked into our room to only find the ceiling peeling, huge chunk of sheet rock was about to fall off the ceiling in the bathroom with mold and the tub was all scraped up with rust! We requested a change of rooms and they were very accommodating! Much better! All this place needs is a good makeover and updating. Location is great and the pool in the middle with all the foliage was nice. Probably should just tear this one down and start over from scratch!!

This is a nice motel on main highway through Kerrville, with a friendly inside courtyard with pool . A basic but acceptable hot breakfast included through a voucher at the next door restaurant. I would stay again .

What can I say? It's a motel next to an Interstate. It does what it's intended to do, which is give you a place to sleep when rolling down the highway. A/C works well, shower water was hot, door locked ok, sleep quality was ok, room was quiet.

Check in took a little while but not sure why since there was no cars in the parking lot. We were given an inside room which you had to go down a dark corridor to get to the room. When we arrived at the room it had a musty smell and when we took our shoes off we found out why - the carpet had recently been cleaned and was not quite dry - made sure we kept our shoes on - we were too tired to request a change of rooms after haven driven 13 hours - the room was very large and seemed that it needed more furniture to make it comfy - overall it was adequate.

Booked here because other hotels in the area were full. This hotel is OK...nothing special but not terrible either. My main issue was that the bed appeared to be in poor condition. It sagged in the middle, and when I sat on the edge I sunk way down. My back ached all night due to the poor condition of the mattress. The room was large and clean. As far as breakfast goes, I read the other reviews and decided to skip going next door to the Italian restaurant for the complimentary breakfast. This set-up is so strange and disappointing, as Best Westerns typically have decent breakfasts. This hotel is in desperate need of a face lift and some new beds!

The rooms are being updated with new fixtures and such..So we were very comfortable and pleased with our room. However, unlike other Best Western's we have visited they have no onsite breakfast area. We were sent to an Italian Restaurant next door for breakfast. Need we say more... This location of Best Western should give a coupon to another breakfast !! restaurant .

As Diamond Select with Best Western we received an upgrade to a very nice large room that was well appointed. We enjoyed the space and had no complaints about the room. They offer coffee in the lobby 24 hours. Breakfast in restaurant next door was a bummer. They offer three choices; I got the basic with two teeny eggs, a piece of sausage, 1/2 cup of potatoes and toast that wasn't toasted. I asked for wheat and got a half slice of white and a half slice of wheat. I asked for ketchup and didn't get it. The service was abysmal!! That was the only bad thing about the stay here. Honestly I'd recommend the hotel just not bother to offer a breakfast and that way we wouldn't think there is something available!!

It is an older property but well cared for and our room was clean. We were in a handicap accessible room and it met our needs better than most. The room was large enough to accommodate needed equipment and leave room to sit and visit with family.

Did a last minute trip over Memorial Day weekend. Got a king size bed with foldout for $94 and the room was huge. Although it is an older hotel it is very clean and the staff was very nice. Free breakfast next door was good and tasty. Overall great experience and would definitely stay here again.

Reservation and check in staff were pleasant and courteous. Departure staff have always been pleasant as well. We've been coming to this hotel for the past 5 yrs and soon will have our home built and....the necessity of a hotel in this lovely town will be a thing of the past for us, but I would definitely recommend Best Western Sunday House. We've been treated with respect and generally staff are accommodating to requests we might have and do their best to accommodate our needs, such as a frig/microwave in the room or preference of king size bed. Beds are comfortable and room decor is nice. Walking distance to another restaurant/retail outlet nearby. Nice, clean pool...Noise level is respected. The hotel is generous with a complimentary free breakfast at the restaurant next door.

The room and service was good, but the breakfast place next door was terrible, the waitress was rude and seemed a racist. She was upset that we were vegetarians and said she didn't have time to attend to us.We had to leave and find another place for breakfast.

The service was excellent. Would stay there again.This was our second time to stay there. Would recommend this hotel. Wonderful staff. Very helpful when I need something. Always very professional. The view was awesome.

Worst Best Western we have ever stayed at!! Tried to move, get another hotel, but sadly they were all booked up. Seriously doubt that we ever make reservations at any Best Western in the future. This entire facility is a disgrace to the Best Western chain!!!

Had a great stay at the Best Western.. Rooms clean and great breakfast. Employees were great and helpful. Would recommend this place . Location was great. Eating places close by. Very close to I-10. Landscaping was very nice.

Affordable. Breakfast included, as a sit down option at the adjacent restaurant. Menu of popular options. Cook doesn't know how to make scrambled eggs. Food was ok. About as good as some continental breakfast options at hotels. Not a bad location for the Texas VW Classic, at nearby LadyBird Park, in FredricksBurg. Free Wi-Fi. Great cable selection, but there was a cable cut somewhere, and TV and Internet were out, as well as all cellphones, except for AT&T... Worth a return visit..

I've stayed here with my biker friends every year for 5 years. Made my reservation in January for end if March. Asked specifically to be close to friends already booked in a large family room and was told I would be in the room behind them. On check in was told my room was upstairs diagonally on the opposite of the motel. Would not discuss why I was out there and was told they are completely booked and cannot even remotely consider moving me. Accepted the room given me. Returned from a ride the next day and while approaching my room, was asked by a motel staffer if I am the group moving to a room in front of the motel. I said no, but was infuriated to learn someone in another family room close by, was being moved towards the front (where my buddies are). Won't be staying there again.

Clean, safe, large rooms with comfortable bed. We were impressed with the hotel for the price, only would like to see a refrigerator and maybe a microwave. I look for ease of parking safety and a chair in room all were good.

Overpaid for what we got. Lots of noise. Bought a fan Walmart to help cover it up Got a card that offered u 2 choices for breakfast the other things on the card were just for looks. Restaurant said they do not them. Almost 20 people being waited on BY ONE PERSON. Room has a smell. Bought a spay at Walmart to help cover that up. Canceled our last night and went to Waco B.W. South. MAN what A DIFFERENCE

Amazing staff from check-in to check-out. Wonderful location and very clean room. Exceptional breakfast the following morning. Comfortable beds - slept like a baby. Will stay here again in Kerrville. A++++ rating

I have stayed at Sunday House numerous time for motorcycle rallies in the Texas Hill Country ... always pleased. The Bella Serra restaurant on site has a great complementary breakfast., and also very convenient for dinner.

Stopped in here to visit friends that were staying there as well. Hotel staff were able to put us in a room close to them that was nice. The room was very big and bed was comfortable. Check in was ok. Great place to stay and will be back. The breakfast is great as well as it in the on site restaurant you have a choice of 5 items not your regular continual breakfast. Nice touch.

This is was a very nice Best Western! We loved the pool area, it was so pretty! The free breakfast was a positive as well! The beds were a 7 on a scale of 1-10. Overall a very nice hotel, especially for the price!

At check-in we were given smoking room, even when he saw we were there with two little kids, and were told that since you booked through expedia this is what you get. Once we told we booked through best Western, he offered alternate non-smoking room. Breakfast was worst, they ran out of food by 8:00am and we were told it would charge extra even if we ask for alternates cereal, juices or even asking for tomatoes or onions on omlette - which is normal toppings. We opted IHOP for next day breakfast based on our experience. Worst experience ever.

This was a great stop after visiting Fredericksburg and before San Antonio. The room had the minimum basics but was clean and comfortable. Even though we could hear people walking in the room above us, it was quite after 10. The best thing was the RAIN HEAD in the shower. What a nice surprise!!!!! We don't mind the door to the outside. It made for easy unloading and reloading our stuff. Cathy as the front desk was so very nice and helpful. Thanks for a nice stay.

When visiting some friends in the Kerrville area, I looked at the available options, and the Best Western Sunday House was $50 per night cheaper than the nearby Hampton Inn and La Quinta. The fairly large room was clean and the bed was fine. Bathroom was functional. HVAC was one of those window units in the wall, so could be noisy when the fan would kick in. Some noise from the street, but nothing terrible. The included breakfast at an Italian restaurant connected to the Best Western was not my cup of tea. Guests have to sit down and be waited on, ordering from a small, set menu. Doesn't work at all if you are under any time constraint. One morning I asked if instead of the sit-down meal, I could get some yogurt. I was told that they don't serve yogurt.

The location is not bad if you are planning day trips to Fredericksburg or any other places in the Hill Country. The hotel looks rundown but the room was spacious and clean. Room service was quite good. All in all, decent budget option.

Stay here monthly, very clean , friendly staff, excellent place. Travel to Kerrville Texas and stay at the Sunday house EVERY time! Tried other establishments and this beats them all. If your into a great breakfast , next door for the complementary meal is hard to beat!

We had to book this hotel last-minute, so we were unsure what we would find when we got there. It was lovely! The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms were extremely clean and spacious, and the breakfast the next morning was great. Gary at the front desk was very helpful when we arrived. After a stressful trip and lots of frustration that day, finding this wonderful hotel was a real treat!

Nice place, good location, Clean rooms, Spacious. Nice pool area if you need it. Close to eating , shopping. Watch your speed. Close to scenic drives to the Hunt area and to downtown Fredricksburg. " old German town and shopping.

When I asked for a call from the manager at checkout over the toxicity of black mold, the clerk told me they would not adjust the bill. Seriously?? I was worried about their guest's health, not the few bucks! Never again!!

I stay at Best Western properties and normally have good experiences. I made an assumption that all BW properties have inside rooms. This hotel has outside rooms that I don't prefer. This is an older hotel and some rooms smell very musty. The breakfast is across the parking lot in a restaurant that does not seem user friendly or set up for breakfast. It is not a serve yourself that is in most lobby eating areas. The restaurant was out of most items and only had one overworked server. We did not go back the second morning.

We stopped here for two nights I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel it's self the room was clean with a big comfy bed the breakfast was included and was ok not amazing but ok I did feel sorry for the waitress as there where a lot of tables and she was on her own so we did have to wait the only down side to the hotel was on the morning we where leaving I found the towels covered in red ants needless to say I didn't use the towels but I would say over all for what we paid it was a good hotel I would stop there again just check the towels first.

Extremely rude waitress at attached restaurant that supplies so called made -to -order breakfast. After we complained about very limited food selection, cold tasteless food, forgotten drinks, and sticky syrup bottle that made my napkin stick to my fingers she said " If you don't like it here , don't come back". Then I heard her say to a co-worker " I'm not f-----g waiting on her ever again!" Also, the ancient air-conditioner in the room did not work. so, as I said in my review title - NEVER AGAIN!

... and in good shape. However, service at the front desk was poor. The desk clerk starting Friday morning promised to look for a cancellation so we could stay over Thanksgiving night and said she would notify the other shifts and days. Came Wednesday, and a different clerk told us that there were openings, but we had already made a reservation elsewhere we couldn't cancel. That desk clerk told us she had never heard of our request, either verbally or by a note.

Great location, nice clean roomy room. Convenient parking close to room. Comfortable bed, ample vanity area, nice size towels. Our choice to stay in Kerrville rather than Fredricksburg. Half the price and not a long drive to FBG.

Checked prices and ratings at other hotels in the area. This was by far the best deal I could find. Room was clean and upon arrival staff worked with me to change to a room where I could park my motorcycle directly outside my door.

Check in was very slow due to using a Best Western gift card for partial payment of the room. We had requested on our reservation a first floor room, but apparently it wasn't available and there was not an elevator to the 2nd floor. However, the staff did carry my suitcase up the stairs. The room was huge. The room was very spacious, but the decor looked business like instead of warm and comfortable. We paid extra to have a refrigerator and microwave in the room, which I think should come standard. The showerhead had a leak that made it squirt out in all directions instead of just down. The comfort of the bed was average. The biggest disappointment was the restaurant next door for breakfast. Instead of having a continental breakfast at the hotel, there was a free breakfast at the restaurant. This would have been okay except the restaurant was out of almost everything that was on their menu. They were out of fruit, yogurt, pastries, and oatmeal. I ended up having pancakes and bacon and the pancakes were served barely warm and the bacon was almost burnt. The restaurant didn't open until 7 a.m. and the service was so slow. We were in the restaurant for about an hour. When we came downstairs in the morning from our hotel room, we were greeted by the smell of cigarettes because one of the staff was smoking right by the building. The smoking area should be away from the building or not at all.

Best Western hotel members are very satisfying in overall experience and value. Hotels run the gamut from excellent quality to good and serviceable. You get what you expect. This hotel offers good quality for the price.

The Best Western Sunday House Inn in Kerrville, TX had clean, comfortable accommodations. We also received a cooked to order breakfast, which was part of the room rate, at the restaurant next door. It was a very good night's rest after a long road trip.

We stayed 2 nights at this Best Western location in Kerrville. It seemed to be older than other Best Westerns around the country and we noticed that there was not a refrigerator in the room. No big deal really, but all other Best Westerns we stayed in did. This hotel could use a little updating, but overall still pretty good.

Had not intended on staying in Kerrville but rental moving van broke down on interstate. Handled the reservation over the phone and was very friendly and accommodating. Was not able to park van near room as they gave me a room that faced the courtyard. But they have a large front lot and was able to park the van under a light. Room was large and spacious for motel rooms. Breakfast (complementary) was at restaurant next door, think it was because I was a rewards member, but very good. Would recommend hotel for a medium to low priced stay.

The room was clean, but there was a slight musty smell. The double queen room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was also very clean. Ice machines were close and convenient. Three adult sisters were on this trip and we only stayed one night. We just felt the price was a little high for a room that was damp and musty smelling.

This hotel had no Disability access except a few ground floor room which were not available. NO hotel write up disclosed that! I had no choice but take the room as there were no others available. I just had knee surgery that did not go well and had to climb the stairs with luggage even though I protested. Hotel staff just shrugged their shoulders. NO GOOD.

Booked online on last minute basis and when arrived at hotel was kept waiting in lobby until hotel computer had reservation on line although they already had fax confirmation of reservation : hotel admin is more important than customer it seems Hotel is far from city center, otherwise comfortable rooms. Bit noisy from nearby highway, very loud airco and not much to do in vicinity.

Great hotel for the price. This is an older hotel, but well kept. A beautiful courtyard and swimming pool. TV was small, but you need to get out and see the country anyway. Breakfast was in a restaurant on the property and was good. Staff was friendly and internet fast.

There were approx 22 people in our group and we all enjoyed staying at the Best Western in Kerrville. The people were friendly, the rooms were clean and it was close to gas stations and restaurants. Will definitely stay there again.

we had to leave early due to a family emergency and was not refunded any partial payment at all, the beds were extremely uncomfortable, the beds were not made when we came back from Oktoberfest, the bathroom was straightened up but toliet paper was not refilled, we only had 1/4 of the roll left. The room had a stale funny smell.. It just wasn't a pleasant visit.

Made a quick trip to San Antonio and back to Kerrville to spent the night, before making the trip home. First time staying here and I promise I will stay again, got 2 rooms and they were clean well appointed. Staff was polite and informative

I have stayed in Kerrville a long time ago but not at Best Western. I had to go to San Antonio, 3 hours from my home, for a job interview and drug test in one day. I was kept late. I'm not familiar with the city and my plans was to stay in Kerrville on my way home. I've always like Best Western in other cities - have membership. I was too tired and exhausted to find a better price for a good night sleep. I was awoken semi-consciously around midnight with a loud chirp. This constantly went throughout the night every 5-15 minutes. I was too exhausted to figure out where that sound was coming from. Finally, woke up around 4-5 am, still tired and tried to find the sound source. It was the smoke detector - batteries. I'm not happy to not get enough sleep and went to the desk to complain. He offered another room, but I can't go back to sleep. I missed breakfast that was offered and it doesn't start till 7 and I left at 5 to try to get back home. It was dangerous that I did get sleepy driving a little ways further. At least I could have gotten a reimbursement for this total waste of sleep... Not the desk clerk's fault.

Our room was exceptionally large the king bed looked small in there. It was obvious that some remodeling had been done as the bathtub fixtures were not flush with the wall. Dogs up to eighty pounds are acceptable and that was my main reason for choosing this motel. My partner had stayed here years ago and still loved it.

Good place to stay. Easy check in, clean room, ours was very spacious. Bathroom was clean. The free breakfast at the near by restaurant was also great. A cooked to order hot breakfast beats a muffin anytime! Thank you BW for making our trip a comfortable one.

This hotel is very tired and dated in the rooms. Disappointed in the property's condition. Staff was very pleasant and helpful, but the property desperately needs an update and refreshing. I have come to expect more from BW in my travels.

We were working on our cabin in Rocksprings and the generator broke. 100+ temperatures was too much. We had our dog so thought good choices would be limited. BW Sunday House was perfect- clean room, hot showers, friendly and helpful desk staff. Our room was on ground floor, facing street, but surprisingly it was quiet. The free breakfasts were delicious in the restaurant just steps away. I wish the hotel had had vending nearby- if it did, i didnt see it. I would stay here again when in Kerrville area.

I have stayed at this hotel 27 Saturday nights in a row and other nights as well. The hotel is an average, well located one. However, the welcome and attention I receive from the desk clerks is unbelievably nice! The are warm, friendly and welcoming. One night I left my hometown later than usual. When I arrived after 11PM, I was told they were worried about me and about to call my cell phone to see if I was alright. They make my reservations for me a month ahead and give me the same room every time. They are the reason I am loyal to this hotel.

If you have stayed at a few hotel/motels across the US you will know that they all blend into one characterless image after a while and it's difficult to tell one from the other. Sunday House is a little different, the lobby has a little of a log cabin character, ok don't get too excited, I don't think it will wow you but it will at least give a reference point when you try to think back to where you stayed in Kerrville. The rooms are a decent size and clean and service was good. Would stay here again for sure.

We were late getting in and the gentleman who checked us in was still able to locate us a downstairs room. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom had a wonderful shower with the large shower head and plenty of hot water! the only thing missing was a fridge and microwave.

Decent property. Well insulated comfortable rooms. Pool. Has actual cooked complimentary breakfast until 10:30 at the Italian Restaurant in front. I would stay here again. It is located pretty north-central, and most amenities can be found on Medina hwy. to it's south(Hwy. 16). There is also an excellent natural food store a short distance away.

Well, we had roaches in the bathroom floor, the shower leaked in the walls because the carpet right next to the bathroom was soaking wet after each time we used the shower. There was soap scum on the shower head and the coach was ripped. The room was huge which isn't something to gripe about but the TV was 26 inches which made it hard to see. The shower liner was on inside out and it kept hugging you when you showered and the sink's water pressure was very low. Also, we had vouchers for breakfast at the restaurant next door and it was awful! The potatoes were cold and it was not fresh food at all!

They had no refrigerator and no microwave my daughter is one and still drinks milk, her milk went bad there was no place for me to store it. The staff was very rude when I walked into the lobby. I will not stay there again. Check out was fine, the gentleman was nice.

We got to this hotel at 11;15pm the desk clerk was busy with others checking in was helpful when it was my turn gave good directions for parking and location of the room. Room was very Hot it was 1:00am before it cooled down enough for us to go to sleep, room was clean bed was comfortable. They do not have a breakfast buffet there is a restaurant on property you have 3 choice for breakfast menu and if you want a juice and a milk or coffee you are charged for one food was good I just prefer the buffet it has more selections and you can drink as much and whatever you want.

My stay at this hotel was great I got a good nights rest in a very spacious rooms. The only downside is that breakfast is served in the restaurant next door which isn't a problem but it isn't served till 7:00 am.

Right by the freeway but has the charm of an older property with personality, especially the big oak trees and the pool area. Great for passing through or staying in town. Thank you Best Western for not replacing it with a boiler plate property.

Hotel is a bit outdated and could use renovation. The room was basic. I was given a room right by the parking lot, which was too loud. They only had one person at the front desk although it was busy, so I had to wait a while to get checked in. I wouldn't stay here again if in town.

Large well-appointed room with a nice view of the courtyard and pool. Very quiet, never heard any other guest or those using the pool. Easy access from interstate. Very friendly staff. Rather than having a continental breakfast in the hotel, was given coupons for free restaurant in the restaurant next door. Food and service was good.

always try to stay at BW. Most of the time never disappointed. always clean and affordable. never in a bad area where I have to be concerned about my vehicle, or walking my dog. I only stay somewhere else if a BW is not in the area.

This is the worst experience ever at a hotel. My thanks for being a Gold Reward member. Stinky room. No refrigerator, No microwave, blood on floor of bathroom, Sink would not drain. Pool out of service in 107 degree weather. Don't ever think you will be rewarded for collecting enough points for a "free" night with the hotel chain. You will be given the most defective room on the property as a thank you.

We enjoyed the pool and the breakfast, the room was very quiet and comfortable with plenty of room for the family. While we were there we had a medical emergency and Jodi helped us with direction to the ER which was very helpful.

Good value for the money, Great Italian food restaurant on site. Try the Ribeye Marsalas. Free breakfast. Cracker Barrel right next door. Peaceful Pool inside of a courtyard area surrounded by huge oak trees. helpful , nice staff.

Unfriendly staff member at chexk in. Rooms were dated and in need of maintinence. Was sold suites when other rooms were available (I put that on the Best Western reservation rep) Not a terrible location, prooerty, or experience. Just not what I expect from a Best Western

This hotel was a nice place to stay. The room was updated, clean and large. It was facing a nice pool with large, well groomed oak trees in the courtyard. It is a bike friendly hotel as well. Prices are average for BW and the Kerrville area. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is the breakfast they offer is through an Italian restaurant which is conveniently located almost in their parking lot. When I went in for breakfast, they only had bananas left for fruit...I did get coffee though. There is a Cracker Barrel right next door, so this is not a huge issue. Otherwise this is a great place to stay. Highly recommended.

We stayed at an end room, which was huge! My kids could spread out their toys and there was plenty of room for us to walk around. Pool was clean but a bit cloudy. I'm guessing it was just cleaned. Bedding and towels were a crisp white.

Nice, clean place. The breakfast was at a local restaurant, which was a nice change. It was very good and service was great. Most of the Best Western hotels we have been staying in had refrigerators in the room, this one did not. It's not a deal breaker, but it would have been nice to have.

The Kerrville Best Wester has a beautiful pool area--spectacular with large trees. If the weather had cooperated we would have enjoyed relaxing poolside. The roos are up-to-date, and a REAL breakfast is served at the restaurant next door--so much better than the usual "make your own waffle" breakfast!

The Best Western Kerrville was a pleasant experience...the room was very clean, comfortable bed and nice sitting area. We experienced no problems at all except for breakfast..I would have preferred a Best Western Breakfast, but what we had was breakfast at the Italian Restaurant next door. There was no "personal touches", just put the order on the table and leave us to our own devices...we did this for two of the three mornings but were never asked is everything was ok or if we would like more coffee, etc. I even placed my empty cup closer to the edge of the table hoping to get someone's attention but to no avail. I realize this is not Best Western's fault but perhaps they could speak to the Restaurant Staff about their abrupt hospitality. I probably will not be dining at that restaurant again.

The hotel is easily located. The rooms are clean and large. We travel with our dog who was graciously accepted to stay here. There were plenty of places to walk the the dog. Liked the first floor room which had a doorway opening to our car parked in front of it. The room was not the most modern, but it was clean and three was plenty of room to move around it. The free included breakfast was made to order at the restaurant next door and it was fresh, hot and fast. I would recommend this hotel.

Pleasant surprise for an older huge quiet room architecture typical of Best Westerns in the 1960's. Great linen, bath towels, and really clean - all at a great price. Plus always freshly made assorted coffees in the lobby.

Nice older hotel. Seems to have an ongoing update plan. King bed was terrible. First night crickets in the room kept me awake, and there was very low water pressure at the sink. Both items were addressed by the staff the next day and I had no more problems. Stayed 4 consecutive nights.

I'm not a big fan of Best westerns but this was a clean place to stay. I think for what you get with Best Westerns they are over priced with the quality of the hotel. I was on a motorcycle trip with others and did not make the reservations but it was clean and slept good for a night. The breakfast was free at the restaurant right in front. Got to pick from three items it was not bad either.

Just got home from a 2 night trip to the Hill Country. Wednesday night was spent at the Johnson City Best Western and Thursday night at the Kerrville Sunday House. We had never stayed at the Sunday House before and were very pleased with our visit and room. We were in 118 which is right next to the swimming pool. The room was huge and very clean. I think Best Western's new look and rebranding will serve them well. Looking forward to another visit to the Sunday House.

We are a family of four and stayed here for one night. The upside..The location was perfect, room was ok, good size with comfortable beds and our kids enjoyed the pool after a long day of driving. The downside the carpet in the rooms they need a good clean..Very sticky, so sticky we couldn't take our shoes off. Breakfast was included and was quite nice next door in the Italian restaurant. For the price this place was fine for a night.

Leisure weekend here and it was mostly quiet. The furniture and bed could have been little more comfortable. The room was spacious. The staff was friendly. We would stay here again and recommend to others.

We stopped here for the night while driving through Texas. This was a great place to relax after a long day on the road. The rooms are large and comfortable. We had a courtyard view and were able to relax by the pool. Even though it is close to the interstate you can't hear the road noise in the room. The Italian restaurant next door is delicious and affordable. The breakfast is really good as well.

Value and cleanliness of hotel are great. Staff were very helpful. Many motorcycle riders stay here, and pull their bikes on the inside courtyard walkways, blocking them partially. They are not rowdy bikers, but some bikes are loud and I found one guy leaning against my car as they were standing the parking lot talking and looking at their bikes parked next to me. Breakfast is included with your room, and is provided in the adjacent Italian restaurant. They only had two waiters for free breakfast for a full hotel, and guys were running. Some waited an hour for their food which was cold by the time they got it. Bacon was funky, and sausage on day two had some chunks of bone like material in it. hash browns cold were both days.

My wife and I spent several days at the Sunday House Inn. The room was clean and comfortable but the furnishings need to be updated. The staff and warm and very acommodating. We enjoyed our stay! Would consider staying here again if in the area.

Our Jaguar car club had a weekend planned in Kerrville. The hotel reserved a block of rooms and everyone who wanted to attend were accommodated. The staff & service was very good, the rooms nice and clean. The only negative was the restaurant next door (not affiliated with BW) that we were provided breakfast vouchers. They were understaffed for the number of guests being served. Other than that, it was a very pleasant experience.

Rooms are large and clean. Shower is the best. The place is pretty funky but well worth the stay. They even include a "restaurant" breakfast in a separate dining room; 3 choice menu and waiter/waitress service. You can't beat this place anywhere on the road. This is my second visit. I'll be back in Kerrville next year and it's not hard to guess where I'll be staying.

Outdated and uninviting. Breakfast Is in the adjacent restaurant if you are not an early riser. Il-equitted and poorly trained staff. Could not get the musty aroma from my room. Tiny bath room, plenty of hot water in the shower. The web site does not accurately portray this facility. Just an old BW motel.

The room was HUGE. Not the most comfortable bed in the world, but not bad at all. The best part was the breakfast in the morning. Instead of your normal continental breakfast, you go next door to a little restaurant and get a nice hot breakfast for free.

My husband and I stayed here with our 3 small dogs. We chose this hotel because of their lenient pet policy. The room was quite large with 2 queen beds, clean and quiet. It was a rainy weekend so no one was using the beautiful courtyard and pool. The free breakfast was fantastic. It is a cooked to order breakfast at the Italian restaurant across the parking lot from the hotel. Will definitely stay here again!

Spent the weekend for market days, king suite, rather large room. Bathroom air return was hanging out of the room. Room had a balcony but didn't use. Hotel supplied breakfast at Italian restaurant next door. Would stay again

Came to Texas (from Maine) to visit with friends and see a little of the state. Kerrville was our destination as we wanted to see the National Center of American Western Art and The Coming King Sculpture and Prayer Garden. We'd made a reservation while on the road on Friday night for 2 nights. Check-in was quick and easy. The room was quite large and clean. As previously mentioned by other reviewers the water was hot and the pressure was nice and strong. Beds are adequate. Breakfast was just ok at the restaurant next door; our choices are 2 eggs, choice of bacon or sausage, toast and potatoes or a short stack of pancakes, bacon or sausage or cold cereal and something else. But it's free and the eggs were cooked well, so I can't complain. I'm not in the industry, but I can't believe a buffet wouldn't be more practical and cheaper. All in all, would definitely stay there again if I were in the area

We had 2 rooms booked for 3 days as we had family business. I ask for bottom floor due to my 91 y/o mother and NO SMOKING. We received 2 rooms on bottom floor but one of the rooms was marked " no smoking" but was hard to breathe in because of the smoke leftovers and the perfumed spray used to try to cover the smoke. Other than that the rooms were great. When we left I forgot to get my mothers pillow she sleeps on--has for years! It was a special pillow. We called back and they had nit found the pillow but would look for it. We left our address just in case---a week later the pillow arrived at our home. Surprise!!! Free breakfast at nearby cafe was great. We I'll stay again but will be more picky over room.

I chose this property based on its individual look as well as generally positive reviews here on TripAdvisor. This is one of those 1960s-1970s-type properties that was built to reflect its setting, vs. being a new "brand box" that could be anywhere. The exterior is somewhat dated but the landscaping and the stone walls are beautiful. This is an exterior-corridor property, and being able to pull up to the room was a big plus. The 2-story lobby was also nice in a classic way (paneling, stone, wood, etc.) although there had been some updating done. While we were there the signage was being changed out to the new and boring blue and grey Best Western logo. So nondescript I almost passed the motel. The room was a very nice surprise. For one thing: it was huge. It felt 20 feet wide, almost double the width of many motel rooms. I liked the carpet and the big contemporary wooden headboards although they did show smudges. The beds were the poorest (softest) of my recent cross-country trip but I imagine they are being replaced with the overall renovation that is obviously going on. Everything else in the room was perfect. It was also very quiet. Didn't try breakfast but it is served in the adjacent Italian restaurant. I assume this is owned by the hotel and leased to someone else. Dinner here was OK. The pool area was nice with old oak trees. A good choice if you're looking for something a little different. The rooms were very nice and fresh and size-wise can't be beat. A good choice for a big family.

This was my first Motorcycle trip staying in Kerrville. I've been to the Hill Country several times, but we decided to branch out and ride all the best MC roads per Butler Maps and Kerrvill was in the center (also cheaper than Fredricksburg). Sunday House offered a HOG discount and the prices for a 4 night stay were outstanding. We arrived and all arrangements were in order. We were checked into room 114 quickly and efficiently. Ms Money was really helpful and cheerful. The Hotel is older, but very well maintained. I'm a Facilities guy so I notice everything. Rooms were very clean, fixtures were very nice for the rooms, water pressure and temperature for the shower was exceptional. Pillows were way better than I am accustomed to and sheets, carpet, window coverings all were really clean and immaculate. Rooms were quiet and we could park the bikes directly in front of our door. Bike towels were provided as a thoughtful touch. The free breakfast is mediocre as you go to the restaurant next door, but it was convenient and worked out fine. The Best Western Sunday House exceeded my expectations and most certainly provided exceptional value. I would highly recommend this establishment for anyone considering a well spread out motorcycle adventure.

Let's start with the good.....very very large rooms. Extremely friendly staff. Nice pool area. Now the not so good. Toliet ran the whole time we were there even after reporting it. The ac was extremely noisy. The coke machine was out.

The Best Western in Kerrville is well suited for motorcycle rallies; easy access to the "Twisted Sisters" (highways 335, 336, 337) and other good roads. Moderately priced, it is a good value for splitting room cost. I enjoy the complementary breakfast at the Italian restaurant next door; also easy to grab a pizza for your group while hanging around the pool area telling lies.

Rooms clean, ours didn't have a microwave or frig, i had to go get shampoo, but for people riding motorcycles they have buckets of rags to wipe your bike down with. You get voucher for a full breakfast at the restaurant next door. Cracker barrel one building down, good location. Front desk personal very friendly and helpful. Id stay here again.

great place-stay there often getting tired of surveys-think they should be eliminated--will not respond to one again--too many stupid constraints and requests makes the whole experience suck will not contribute to tripadvisor again nor pay attention to their information assuming others are also tired of their BS

We got into town about noon, and the front desk was very friendly, and we were able to get into the room at that time.. No issues with getting in early. The room was very convenient to parking, and near a very established pool, The AC was super cold.. a good thing in Texas, and they offered a full breakfast, from a set menu at the cafe that was attached.. the cafe food was good, and free is a good price.. I have no problems staying here again

this hotel has been updated since I stayed there last. It was a pleasant suprise. I was there with 3 of my grandchildren and we were given a courtyard view. the courtyard is very nice and peaceful. the pool area is wonderful. the hotel is pet friendly. I enjoyed my stay

This property is older, has no elevator, the exterior was in the process of being replaced and there are no refrigerators or microwaves in the rooms even though there are obvious areas where they either were located before and were taken out or they are going to be placed there again. I personally like the loud window ac units - they provide the white noise I need to sleep. The breakfast they offer is at the restaurant next door and guests get only three choices. Get your coffee from the front desk and take it with you because the breakfast does not include any drinks. I didn't eat there but my husband did and said he paid $3.25 for a glass of orange juice.. Ridiculous. The front desk personnel were very friendly and heated up something for me in their microwave but not having one in the room was very inconvenient. I think there are better options in town..we stayed here for the BW points but if I had to do it over again I would stay somewhere else.

We stayed here at the Sunday house because we had stayed here before and liked the place. The big oak trees by the pool, made for a nice afternoon of relaxing. Everything was good, and we will stay here again when we are out this way.

Upon entering the office area, we were greeted with a sincere welcome. When we entered our room, I did 2 things I always do. Check the mattress and pillows and then check the shower pressure. The mattress was very comfortable and the pillows were soft. The shower was perfect. As we walked to the pool, one of the housekeeping ladies asked if we needed any additional supplies for the room. We had already checked things out and thanked her, but we were fine. The complimentary breakfast was not served in the office area, but in a restaurant that shares the same parking area. It was a regular breakfast!

For over $100 a night it would have been nice to have a refrigerator and/or a microwave. I've stayed in motels that were much cheaper with more to offer. The hotel is undergoing renovation and hopefully there will be upgrades but the room rate should be discounted if amenities are not available.

Hair on the sheets. Beds are shaky so if you're with your partner you will weak up every time they turn over. Not enough parking in the back. Had to park up front and walk all the way to the back up steps past the pool. The breakfast which is next door at the restaurant, doesn't include a drink and they don't tell you that a glass of milk costs as much as a gallon of milk. $3.29 for milk. And no free refills cause I was about to drink a gallon.

This hotel is a great place to stay when we are in the Kerrville area The rooms are clean and well appointed. There was a supply of coffee that started our morning out right. The courtyard by the pool is nice and relaxing.

The price charged for this room is too high. The hotel needs to be updated. The breakfast offered is next door at a restaurant. I prefer a buffet in the hotel. Coffee is not included in the meal. I had a problem with the bath tub and the desk clerk didn't know what to do. I asked for a different room which they gave me.

This Hotel is not much different from others. it has it good, and very good points. the rooms are clean and comfortable, and big, they are big enough for ice box and microwave but did not have them which was a surprise but did not expect when I got there, the main problem I have is the shower, all hotels want to save water and use the heads that do. this shower head was big and the water really only trickle out, worst shower ever.

My husband and I spent 2 nights; staff was friendly and professional. Morning coffee around the pool is recommended. Our room was clean, bed was firm, and guests can park close to their rooms. Breakfast was simply okay, nothing more. If you are going to have coffee with your meal, get it at the motel office at bring it with you; that way it costs you nothing and the coffee is better. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

The front desk girl when we checked in we not very nice at all. The room was roomy, clean, and the beds were comfortable. There was no refrigerator or microwave. Also, the breakfast isn't completely free. You have to pay for your drinks. That's crazy! Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Older hotel. NO ELEVATORS. Must climb steps so recommend you get 1st floor. Drive up outdoor access to rooms. Staff great. Restaurant hads changed so voucher gets you little. Bar next door, so no driving. Close to Guadalupe and many of the rivers. Pool can be a little chilly due to beautiful tree shade, but nicely kept. Staff is great.

Lots of ants, big and little. This is probably due to recent rains, but were in both rooms that I was offered. No real problem, but not comfortable. Otherwise, the rooms were very large and comfortable. Very good stay.

This hotel has spacious rooms, comfortable beds, friendly and helpful staff that seem to genuinely cared about how your stay goes. Tim was very enthusiastic and helpful when it came time to choose a place for dinner. He also went out of his way to change my room type to accommodate my request for a smoking room (I was totally joking --thats the funny part! I didn't even know smoking rooms still existed!!!). The rooms were very clean with awesome beds. There were only a couple of issues I had with this hotel. First, the limited amount of coffee served in the lobby (most Best Westerns have the 24/7 coffee station that is "never-ending"). This hotel's biggest downfall though? The "free" breakfast. It was a HUGE disappointment! I didn't even bother to walk over to the restaurant that serves the three choices I was given (the fact that I would have had to buy a beverage and tip the server was not, in my eyes, worth what would no doubt have been a so-so meal at best. With so many of the Best Westerns offering a full hot breakfast that is served buffet style, this deviation from the "norm" was noticed much more intensely.

Guests from 2nd floor were extremely loud from 10 to mid-night. We did not sleep until after they passed out. My family and I were not happy with the guests above. I guess I should have complained to the front desk but there was no one at the front desk when we left.

Hotel was o.k., breakfast consisted of choice of one item and coffee and milk was $6.00 plus tip. Other than that the hotel was a good value for the $89.00 plus tax. Location off the freeway was good and the staff was good. For a family of 4 having drinks ( milk , coffee and juice ) with your breakfast would run $25.to $30 extra plus tip. Not a deal.

The room was great, clean, overlooked the pool with plenty of room. Breakfast was delicious with very friendly people. The office staff of the hotel were very helpful and always had a smile on their face. Will definitely stay here again. We have stayed at this hotel four times now.

While driving cross country from LA to FL we stopped here for the night not knowing the area or the town. I am so glad we did. The town and the hotel were exactly what we needed. If we ever make the drive again I will stay here again.

The rooms are large and the beds are comfortable. The pool is very nice. The price includes breakfast, which was very good. We stayed in room 130 it was close to the pool but there was no noise to keep us awake. I would stay there again. The hotel excepts pets so if you are traveling with your pets and need a place to stay, this is a good choice.

My family and I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past and have always been more than satisfied with all aspects of service, cleanliness, convenience and price. When we left on Monday, July 18, my 13 yo granddaughter said "When we come to Kerrville, let's always stay here!" We all enjoyed the beautiful pool area, the good cooked to order breakfast and the cool, large rooms. Older facility but well maintained and spacious.

Everything was just great. Motel was very clean and beds were comfortable. Staff was great. Breakfast was free but had to pay for any drinks you wanted except water. I went there with a friend and my son to ride the Hill Country on motorcycles witch I enjoyed.

Best Western Sunday house was nice with a large room and a comfortable King bed. We were on the back side of the hotel and it was very quiet. There is an Italian restaurant immediately next door with good food and free breakfast for hotel guests. The pool is nice with many pool chairs. My only complaint was that all of the ice machines we tried were out of order so we had to go to the front desk to get ice.

Recently we were unable to book our goto Hotel in Kerrville due to a change in our schedule. I am tired of the Econo-Boxes that charge an arm and a leg on weekends, so I decided to try something new. The Best Western Sunday House Inn is situated on Texas-16 just after you cross I-10 coming into Kerrville. Since we had activities all over the hill country this was attractive to me. It had rooms for our Sunday to Friday stay for my wife and I and our friends, also important. It offered a 'free' Breakfast, check. The Property is set back a little from the road and goes up the Hill. I call it an Inn. Not quite a Motel, nor a Hotel. But it is good sized. All hotel room entrances were from the outside, Some faced the pool, some faced outward. Everyone in our group, faced outward. My wife's and my accommodations were on the 2nd floor. Sadly this place did not have an elevator, but we only had to unload once, so I made a few trips. SPECIAL NOTE: If stairs are a problem: 1st floor rooms can be requested in advance. If you cannot use stairs due to a disability, be sure and let them know at the time of reservation. Atmosphere Pool Area- The Pool Area is quite nice. Large Live Oaks provide ample shade from mid afternoon thru evening. Very limited furniture. The pool is typically very busy Friday - Sunday mid day. By then we had it to ourselves and used it for Happy Hour a couple of times during our stay. Breakfast- One of the Strangest ever setups: We were given coupons and we walked to the on property Restaurant that was roadside (Belle Sera - separate review). For the most part you had three breakfast options. Food was served warmly. The little woman that served us 4 days was very good. Her replacement was average and had hygiene issues. We learned the ropes on the first day: I ordered Coffee and Meal option #1, My Wife a Diet Coke and #1. I was billed for the Coffee, Coke and tax? $4.88, but the Breakfast was free! Not a big deal, but I did walk up to the lobby one day for coffee in protest! WIFI - worked flawlessly. I did not do much more than email (I was on vacation) so I didn't stress it. Cons: As is typical of some of the older Inn's that we have stayed at recently, 2nd floor accommodations do not have elevator access. Plan for it. The Breakfast arrangement is kind of weird. No fruit or pastries at Breakfast. (Subpar versus expectation at other BW hotels.) This breakfast could be easily fixed by creating a table with fruit and pastries for all to enjoy. Coffee and refills should be included and those that cannot drink coffee should have options. At least one drink for children. I can see charging for 2nd drink and milk etc. Conclusion: We found a viable alternative for accommodations when in Kerrville. I wish they would fix the breakfast. So not a bad stay. We might come back.

Great value. Long trip Conroe TX to Vegas. Left in the afternoon so knew we would not get far, and hadn't made a reservation. This hotel was a great find. Clean, reasonable rate. The Italian restaurant was terrific. Good food, good price, and quick. They also serve their breakfast there so its not one of those quicky breakfasts.

The rooms are clean. The staff is courteous. The location is interstate accessible. The parking is ample. The breakfast is limited but tasty. The room are spacious. The pool area is a nice oasis to relax and unwind. Some in our group complained about non smoking rooms that smelled of smoke. Overall our stay was acceptable.

We love this hotel. It has that Germany feel and is nice and cozy. The staff is great and willing to help always with a smile. The restaurant is quaint and the food is great. this place is great and we always make it our choice to stay while we visit the Kerrville area. thanks guys for the memories

Room was comfortable. Refrigerator in the room would have been nice. Other rooms had them but our didn't. Once we checked in we had to wait in the car for over 30 minutes for the maid to finish cleaning the room.

Stopped in for a quick overnight on my way out west. Motel is easy to find off I-10, and parking wasn't a problem. The building exterior and room interiors were all in serious need of repair/refurbishment (creaky/wobbly stairs, poor interior finishes in the room, old peeling paint, old windows, etc). Bed was okay, mattresses felt as old as the property. I don't think I'd stay here again in its current condition, but it was convenient.

This interesting hotel resembles a Swiss Chalet.It sits on a hill above the road which gives it extra privacy.The large courtyard is beautifully landscaped around an inviting swimming pool.The pleasant neighborhood is a perfect place to take a walk and stretch your legs. The room was large, clean and attractive. The staff were friendly and helpful. A special perk was the voucher for a free breakfast at the restaurant next door. You only pay for your beverage . Altogether a relaxing pleasant,experience.

The front desk staff is nice and friendly, however the rooms are in need of major repairs. Our carpet was filthy / sticky, and after walking on it for a few minutes, your feet were completely black. Not exactly what you want your 8 month old crawling on.

The rooms are reasonable and very big, would easily fit a larger family with blow up mattresses if needed without walking over each other. Would have liked a fridge in the room and extra blankets on the bed. AC definitely works quite well. I would recommend this property to others. Restaurant service staff could be better though as they didn't seem to care about service we received.

We were caught on a very busy week during a business trip across TX. We ended up making a last minute reservation. We did not know anything about this hotel. We were pleasantly surprises to find a very clean room,excellent bed and air conditioner. This is a quiet 2 story hotel with charm, beautiful courtyard and pool.They provide vouchers for a nice breakfast in the nearby restaurant. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We visit Kerrville frequently and usually stay with family. However, on the occasional event those accommodations don't work out, we have stayed at various other locals. The Best Western Sunday house is one that I have been interested in staying in because it has a cute exterior that looks like an old German House. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The instant we got there we were ready to jump in the pool that is surrounded by rooms and covered by nice large trees in courtyard. The pool was clean and had nice chairs. The people working the front desk were friendly and efficient. The beds were comfortable and the stay included breakfast at the next door Bella Sera restaurant that we weren't expecting. There were choices of 3 different breakfast meals one with eggs, bacon or sausage, potatoes, and toast. The second with pancakes and bacon or sausage and the third with cereal and fruit. The drinks were extra. My only semi-picky complaint was the coffee from the room that tasted funny, but that was easily rectified by getting coffee from the front desk. So far, the Sunday House Best Western has been our favorite place to stay in Kerrville. We will definitely stay there again.

A bit dated but clean. Definitely gives you the true feel of nearby Fredericksburg (Germantown). No elevator and outside facing rooms but it's reasonably priced with decent WiFi, free breakfast and a well maintained facilities. The AC Rocks! Would recommend. Just depends how much the $30+ difference is per night for a more updated hotel. Breakfast was good but drinks are not included.

Stayed here because the rooms were slightly cheaper than in Fredricksburg. The people were nice and accommodating. The room was very large , the bed was ok. The main thing that got me was the tree roaches, at night they are all around the pool and got into our room that was near the pool. Then the lights at night around the walkways were not on, we almost had a trip to the hospital because of that. All in all, it was not my worst experience, but not the best!

Highly recommended. Staff Superb, and go above and beyond, and extremely attentive. Room VERY clean and nice size. Everything needed is supplied. They have Wonderful linens. Courtyard gorgeous. Breakfast superb at the restaurant right in front. Can Not complain.

Little Pricey for the location. Breakfast is served at a restaurant next door (free except for tip). However the restaurant doesn't open until 7:00 AM. The rooms were basic and clean, no microwave or fridge, however. The road noise was minimal, you are away from I-10 enough and the road in front of the hotel was not too noisy. There was a pool and courtyard that we did not get to enjoy, and there were rooms surrounding the pool that were likely quieter, but I didn't know to ask. The staff were nice enough, and check out was quick.

Kerrville is a lovely town. Be sure to visit the "The King is Coming" statue and cross exhibit on top of the hill off I-10! Very worth while, great views too. We enjoyed out stay at the BW Sunday House and visiting family. The breakfast coupons for every night's stay was very nice. The Restaurant had great staff and the meal was delicious!

Rooms need updating - very Spartan and poor décor. The bed was comfortable and we had to change from one room because of the awful smoke smell even though it said "no smoking" - we did get moved into a room that did not smell of smoke..

We arrived from working the weekend and racing the rain. We had a king suite which we like for the extra space. The bed was comfortable, and the room was more than adequate. The next time I am in Kerrville, I will stay here!

Good clean hotel in great location, excellent value for the money, loved the cooked to order breakfast! Rooms were very spacious and clean. Close proximity to restaurants, Kerrville Folk Festival, Kerrville Market days. Great for families, friends, bikers.

The Best Western Sunday House in Kerrville, TX. Is located centrally in Hill Country. A wonderful property with plenty of room choices. They do offer pet friendly and smoking rooms to make travel there very comfortable. The Bella Sera Restaurant is on the adjoining property, where the complimentary breakfast is served. It also has an excellent Italian lunch and dinner menu.

This is our third time to stay at this place.The rooms are clean, it's quiet and the staff is friendly.Great location.If you have a request they will work with you.We will always stay there.We were able to check in a little early as we have a Siberian Husky and we wanted to get him in the room so he would be cool.The people at the Ft.desk are very nice and helpful.There is a McDonalds on one side and a Cracker Barrel on the other.It's just a great place to stay.

Wanted a place for the night in close proximity to I-10. BW Sunday House filled the bill. Good proximty to fuel and dining. Highly recommend the Cowboy Steak House on Main Street in Kerrville. Have stayed in Kerrville a coule times in the past year and find it has good ammenities as well as goo proximity to Federicksburg, San Antonio, and (in a pinch) Houston. But really, life's to short to drive through Houston.

Hats off to this hotel for a wonderful stay. Clean, tidy, spacious room. Unique breakfast option of breakfast at adjacent restaurant who cooks your breakfast selection (included in room rate) for you. Tiffany, the office clerk manager, was extremely kind and helpful with good tips on where to go and what to see. We had a great stay.

While the rooms are very spacious and the pool area is beautiful, the furnishings are worn, bed was stiff, and we had trouble sleeping due to noise from the highway nearby. In addition, the handle on the toilet in our room was broken. I can't say enough good things about the staff, they were very friendly and accommodating! However, I will likely try a different hotel (there seem to be quite a few at the same price point) next time I visit Kerrville.

While the rooms at the Sunday House are older, they are LARGER, the wi-fi has been updated as well as the TV's and the faucets. The beds were older but still very comfortable and the linens were fresh and all washed including the "new" washable bed spread...The staff is attentive, and the overall good quality of the rooms is consistent and offered at a fair price. The breakfast is the most enjoyable part of the stay- since it is served at Bella Serra next door where there is more room (no more elbow to elbow- "fight for your waffle and stale cold cereal" problems, the food is fresh and hot when delivered by a waiter to your table... You do have to pay for your drinks and leave a gratuity but it is still less than buying your own breakfast. I had asked for a shower chair and the staff gave us a completely accessible room- good attention to detail, and professional and friendly! We will stay again.

This hotel is a great place to stay as we travel to the area on motorcycles several times a year. The rooms are very well appointed and comfortable. The breakfast was great. Courtyard was very comfortable.

Large, spacious rooms. A friendly staff. And a quiet setting just a block or two from the I-10. I've been staying at this hotel for years, every time I travel through the area. It just feels like home to me. And a major plus: it's dog friendly. The city itself offers many amenities, including an excellent dog park on the Guadalupe River.

Pet friendly room was clean and smelled fresh. Miranda at the front desk was welcoming, capable and totally ready for us. She gave us gift bags with bottled water and various other little treats for being Rewards members. That extra thoughtfulness made us Best Western converts. We stayed in three BWS in three nights. While all were clean and adequate, Miranda's preparedness and the gift bags made this stay the best one. Would happily stay here again.

With a group of 15+ we had made reservations a few months in advance, I had even called a few weeks later to confirm and ask a question. Upon arrival I was told they knew nothing about my reservation-- after riding my motorcycle 2000 miles to meet my friends there, this was not what I wanted to hear. Basically, I had to make a scene to get them to honor my reservation. Additionally, rooms have NEITHER REFRIDGERATOR, NOR MICROWAVE, in case you like these things. The rooms were decent, the pool seemed clean, but because of the reservation issue and the unhelpful and poor attitude of the desk staff, I will not be returning. Too bad.

We chose the first hotel we saw when we came into town. I knew this one by reputation and we were impressed. The clerk was very busy but stayed professional the entire time. The room was large and clean and the noise level was minimal. It is on our list of great places to stay.

The front looks like a swiss chalet and has vaulted ceilings with wood paneling. The rooms are very generous with plenty of room inside. We had an inner courtside room overlooking the pool area. It reminded me of hotels in New Orleans, very lush. Bed was comfortable. Would definitely recommend and return. Also, full cook to order breakfast is provided at the restaurant next door.

Wonderful staff from check in to check out. Staff was always helpful. Facility is very clean and fresh. Convenient location for day trips away from Kerrville. Pool area was relaxing and beautifully landscaped. Breakfast wait staff were so very nice. Breakfast was of the best quality.

The good: pet friendly, large room, good parking access to first floor room, friendly staff. Ironing board and iron avail. Hair dryer avail. The bad: mattress is 1980s era, no pillow tops here. The wall at the head of the tub was corroded out with visible access into the wall. There is only one outlet in the bathroom for charging all of our devices. No fridge. No microwave. In-between: breakfast is served at next door restaurant but closes at 10:30 on a Sunday. There is limited access to grounds for walking your dogs and no grass for those who are picky where they go. All in all, I'm glad I could sleep in a bed with my babies (dogs) but the hotel needs major renovation to address plumbing, mattresses, lack of outlets for recharging devices.

My measure of a great hotel starts with the shower. This one was to die for; did not want it to stop. Happy to have two morning showers here. The room was LARGE, clean and comfortable. The place looks quite a bit funky, but in a good way. Getting to my room was almost labyrinthine, but laughable. Unlike any other reasonably priced road house that provides breakfast, this joint actually served a sit-down, individually prepared breakfast, delivered by three of the most efficient serving staff I've had in a long time. It's a given that with the shower and the breakfast, I'll be back at this hotel the next time I'm in Kerrville.

Stayed in King room that was huge! But that said there was little to fill it up. It had no fridge or microwave. We were given a breakfast voucher to the adjacent Bella Sera restaurant. Had a choice of 3 different full breakfasts with drinks and gratuity the only things not covered by the voucher. The food was excellent! The motel was dated with few electric outlets to do the necessary charging of modern devices.

Nice and friendly staff. Very large, but slightly dated room decor. Nicely landscaped pool are but too cold to go into pool. Good hot breakfast at adjacent restaurant but with poor service on a busy Sat morning. Overall a very good value for a prime time of year.

We stayed there for 3 nights. We chose this hotel because the HIE next door was booked. The room was big and clean. Thin walls. You can tell it is an older hotel that has had some renovations. Breakfast is provided at the restaurant located in the parking lot. It does not included drinks or a tip... so you will have to pay that separate.

This is the only Best Western in Kerrville, TX. iIn place of breakfast fare in the lobby or adjacent area a dining facility is located in the parking lot. You are given a voucher for three options which do not include beverages. And you , out of respect, need to leave a gratuity. Decided to eat elsewhere to have additional options for breakfast.

This was a great stay. Staff was helpful and polite, room was great, clean. Restaurant next door provided a choice of three breakfasts, minus beverages. Other Best Western Motels have in-house breakfast selections which provide greater variety.

Staff are extremely nice and rooms are big. The bed was not the greatest and they didn't have a fridge or microwave. To me that's important when your staying in a hotel for a few days. I stayed at another hotel down the road and they had smaller rooms and about the same bed but they did have a fridge and a microwave.

Beware of thin ceilings. There was a motorcycle rally, the hotel completely sold out and our upstairs neighbors stomped across the floor all.night.long. It was a miserable experience. The room was big and but for rest and quiet this is not the place.

Our room was very large, and reasonable, and right next to the wonderful Bella Sera restaurant. The breakfast from the hotel was free at Bella Sera the next morning and it was very good. It was quiet and we enjoyed staying there.

We just need a stop over point and I didn't really look into the hotel much, BUT we were pleasantly surprised by our stay here. It is an older hotel so it has bigger rooms, and the pool area was beautiful. The rooms were in great working order and it was nice to have a cooked to order breakfast even if it was a prefixed menu. Super happy with the experience.

We checked in for one evening on a Thursday night. They found our reservation but they did not have a room listed. They were sold out so it was a bit of a process to find the room we were assigned to. This location has a lot of rooms and it is spread out. Entrance to rooms is external. Trying to find our room you'd think we'd never stayed in a hotel before. Our room was in the back of the hotel facing a parking lot. It was dated. The beds were very bouncy and uncomfortable. The AC was SO loud, Wifi would not connect, perhaps due to the location of our room. The Channel listing was not accurate, the bathroom was small and had no ventilation & the ice machine was broken, it was just one bad thing after the other. The last straw was when at 1:30 in the morning someone was trying to get in our hotel room over and over again. My husband got up and looked out the window and the man went away. We totally skipped the 'free' breakfast. We wanted to just grab and go and that's not how this one was set up. It wasn't like any breakfast I'd ever seen done at a best western before. You received a voucher to a restaurant in the parking lot of the Best Western. There were 3 options to choose from but you had to purchase your drinks and pay gratuities. If I'm going to have to go to a sit down place I'm going to choose my own restaurant. We stay at Best Westerns all the time and this one was truly disappointing on many different levels.

This hotel is wonderful. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The hotel grounds were well manicured and the pool looked inviting. The staff were both polite and helpful. We even got a full breakfast with our stay. I would definitely stay there again.

Nice stay in Kerrville, close to restaurants and interstate. The staff were outstanding and the room was very clean. Comfortable beds and quiet. Internet another story, and the staff tried to make it work but it continued to go off line during the entire stay. So no kind words for the internet service in our room but we survived it. If they had of had good internet service would have been a Excellent review. Great place for our pet to stay also. Beautiful courtyard with pool and it was very peaceful to relax in.

there was hair in the bath tub but a neatly folded towel with soap on the edge of the tub. Amazing how they could not see the hair all around the tub and drain. The hair didn't even belong to the top of the head of a person-yuk!! There was hair that was hanging out of the blow drying that was stringing out of the dryer onto the coffee maker!!

Close to the highway.Large clean rooms, serious lack of parking in the front due to the restaurant on the property. No microwave or refrigerator provided. Beds are hard as a rock. As to the free full breakfast, I passed on the second day. It was served cold and then reheated. Opted for somewhere where the staff were more organized. Go to a drive through.

Full Breakfast advertised === however, that is false. Had limited (very limited) selection at the place they sent you for breakfast. Then they charged for your morning coffee and expected a nice tip; Our friends who traveled with us had a terrible time even getting the wait staff to bring them any coffee. Terrible breakfast experience.

Out room was large with a sofa bed, which was perfect for us. The receptionist was helpful and brought us extra sheets, towels, etc. The breakfast at the adjoining restaurant was very good. The only problem was the creaking floor noise from the room above us.

This Best Western Motel is a great property and from a time when it was the standard against which other motels were judged. The motel is just a few blocks off I-10 and has ample free parking. The motel is built in a "U" around the beautiful pool and surrounded by large trees. If you can, get a courtyard room. The rooms are huge, almost twice as big as a standard Hampton room. It was very clean, although the bathroom could stand a remodel. My friends said the breakfast was good, although, I opted for kolaches from a small place down the road. Kids would have a lot of fun in the pool. The price was awesome.

This Best Western was more than adequate for our business stay. They offer an option for pets for a minimal fee, which we needed at this time. Room was easily accessible. Free breakfast card for nearby restaurant was provided. The location was perfect for our purposes and was close to stores, malls, and restaurants. The staff was courteous and helpful when reservations were made and at check-in and check-out. Parking was safe, clean, and well-lit. Bed was comfortable. Only drawback, which in our opinion is minimal, was lack of microwave and fridge.

This hotel offered the charm of a small hotel with all the amenities of a large hotel. Wonderful pool and courtyard area. Clean room. Comfortable bed. I was very surprised with how nice it was! I would recommend it to anyone coming to the area.

we've stayed here many times before and had a bad experience with people staying above us. we had no resolution from front desk. ended up leaving at 1 a.m., a day earlier than expected and had a 7 hour trip home with no sleep. Not a good experience to say the least. Looking at other options, because we stay in Kerrville OFTEN....

All Great, Friendly staff. Very courteous staff. Very nice room. beautiful grounds and gorgeous pool area. An actual KING size bed, not a reduced size king, Internet was super fast and never kicked me off. Best hotel room I have ever stayed in. Even better than the high dollar hotels.

Old hotel but good shape and nice surroundings makes it a good stop. Our room could use some comfortable sitting for two people, but was not bad. We had been there before and expect to return. This stay was off season, so it was more quiet then normal.

As always (we stay here at least three times a year or so) everything was great. The hotel is clean, breakfast is decent and the staff is very nice and helpful. I would recommend this best western to anyone traveling to Kerrville.

I have been driving crosscountry with a dog and this is the best so far. No fridge or microwave but the huge room and high level of accommodation for pets well makes up for that inconvenience. I arrived midweek off season and there was room to play Frisbee with my dog in the back parking lot. Breakfast was so so. Beware, they charge for drinks so just take your own coffee from the room. Lovely pool courtyard. The man who checked me in the afternoon of December 15th was wonderful, gracious, and exceedingly helpful. If BW management is reading this, give him a raise or at least employee of the month!

While traveling to New Mexico over the Thanksgiving holiday, we decided to spend the night in Kerrville. Much to our delight, we found the Sunday House to be perfect. Rates were affordable, large rooms, close to amenities, and easy access to the interstate. We enjoyed it so much, we stayed there again on the return trip.

very helpful staff going the extra mile. Only true dog friendly motel in area that we have found. Nice large rooms that are clean and comfortable. Only wish each room had microwave and frig. We've been staying here for 4+yrs. and will continue!

Kerrville is a great alternative to San Antonio if you are on your way from point A to point B. Best Western Sunday House is a welcome place to stay. i have no complaints and would stay there again, in fact I did. It was quiet, convenient, and had a friendly, helpful staff. I'd like to stay there when the weather is better and enjoy the pool and beautiful surroundings.

We were on Interstate 10 and decided to stop at the Best Western. The facility is not hard to find from the major highway. It is also close to the visitor center in Kerrville. We were pleased with the motel and will stay again if in the area. The bed was comfortable and room was large. The restaurant next door gives a choice of three options for a free breakfast with a stay at Best Western.

Very clean room and areas for the dog! Customer service was excellent. The check in guy even helped us with our bags since no luggage cart was available. Bed was exceptional. Clean and very cozy. We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back on next trip to hill country. Price was good for the room. Breakfast was very limited menu but service was good and food good also!

The room was at a good price and clean. The front desk was very helpful. However, all the reviews regard the "complimentary breakfast" is true! There is a real dirt path between the hotel and Cracker Barrel and it didn't get that way over night. BW should just give a voucher to Cracker Barrel instead of leaving a "bad taste" in customers mouth/mind of BW

The room was adequate nothing fancy. Bed was comfortable, & clean. However they give you a comp breakfast at the restaurant right beside them, some Italian restaurant. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. Very small portions which was not very good & if you order coffer be prepared to pay for it. No drinks included. it cost us $4.50 for 2 cups of coffee, no refills & we asked for 2 glasses of water as they did not bring any & we get one glass. I feel this server is in the wrong business. We will not return there & probably stay at another hotel if in the area ever again.

I walked in with a group of friends for a late check in after a flight delay from San Antonio. The front desk attendant was helpful and kind, carrying some of the bags to our room for a friend with a broken toe. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the room and very happy with how clean and well-maintained it was. Breakfast at the adjoining restaurant was a great bonus and good food but smaller portions. I recommend staying here! The entire group had a great experience.

You get what you pay for, and we had a serviceable, clean room. This was typical Best Western style and quite large with 2 Queen beds. All very serviceable. Breakfast was VERY basic, but hey, I didn't expect much. If you need basic for one night or so, this is fine.

Pet-friendly, big rooms, friendly staff. Lovely pool area with huge oak trees. Nice breakfast options in next door restaurant. Overall, a great place to stay while in Kerrville. I like that you can park right in front of your room if you get a first floor room, which we requested as we were traveling with 2 small dogs.

I was glad to be able to arrive at this hotel as I had driven almost 300 miles and was exhausted. Check in was fine and after I was able to get in the room the bed was comfortable and i had a good nights sleep. The offered a breakfast that was cooked when you order it. I have stayed here before and it is good but I was not able to use it this time as I had to leave before serving started. I would stay here again.

This hotel looks lovely if you are lucky enough to get on the side of the Courtyard with the pool. We ended up facing the parking lot. The beds felt like we were sleeping on a trampoline. No support. When I walked in all I heard was a loud a/c unit and realized there was no fridge. I felt like I was at a bad Motel 6. We were tired from traveling so I hoped the a/c unit wouldn't be an issue. I was wrong. If you turned it down it was quiet but couldn't sleep because it was stuffy. If you turned it up it was even louder. I got 2 hours of sleep (maybe) and I was riding a motorcycle through the Hill Country with a group the next day. When we left the next morning to get breakfast the door wouldn't lock. We had to wait while maintenance came so we would know our room was secure. They did fix the door and even managed to put a brand new a/c unit in that was very quiet. The rest of our stay was uneventful. But I wonder if they have a new unit to put in on hand, why it would take a complaint to get them to change it out? A little quality control can go a long way.

I was in town for a conference and stayed at this hotel. I was in a room directly above the lobby area. It was very quiet and room was satisfactory. Bed was comfortable. This is my second time to stay in this hotel and I've never had any problems. Staff was very helpful.

This was a pretty nice place. The rooms very spacious and comfortable. Good location. The only thing missing was a fridge. They are very accommodating to allow you to use as much ice as needed during your stay. The pool area was really pretty, covered with trees and plenty of sitting area. The restaurant that served breakfast was really good. Three different choices and served hot.

It's an older hotel, to be sure, but the rooms are clean, the staff always helpful, and it's a rustic look. It's built on a hill, so the different levels and parking lots are interesting in the back, but you can always count on a good place to stay when you get to Kerrville! Breakfast is included, just go visit the restaurant on site. The choices are limited, true, but you can't really go wrong with bacon and eggs, home fries and toast, IMO. :)

Breakfast was ok but should not be charged for drinks. The price was ridiculous. Could have eaten somewhere else for the same price overall. The room was very clean and relaxing. Great pool. Good location. Great town.

We were thankful to stay at Best Western because we could bring our two little dogs. One thing that could be better was the area where we could bring them to do their business. There was no microwave or refrigerator in the room & we are used to having those in the room. Everyone was very nice and helpful so our stay was nice.

I read the reviews for Best Western in Kerrville and they were on point. The room was huge, very clean and you get a free hot meal at the restaurant next door. The front desk clerk was courteous and helpful. Will definitely stay again.

Breakfast is not a buffet but in a restaurant and will cost extra money for drinks with a choice of three meals. Not good if you want to get up and go or take to the room. Friendly staff and nice pool and area. Nice place overall.

This is one of those cases where what should normally be a hotel that gets a 3/5 rating gets a 5/5 rating. The reason - their staff! We had booked the room at the very last minute for a Labor day trip (48-72 hours in advance). At that time there was practically nothing available in the area except this hotel had a "smoking" room. Without many options, I booked it with a note to the hotel that if a non-smoking room became available we would prefer it as we are sensitive to smoke. Upon checking in, they APOLOGIZED that no "non-smoking" room had become available and allowed us to look at it to make sure the smoke smell was not too much. In addition, they told us they would hold it for 1/2 hour or so to see if we could find a non-smoking room elsewhere. We went to their check-in lobby to re-check the internet and call around. Within a few minutes we heard that THEY were calling around for us too! They did NOT have to do any of this, we had contractually agreed to their room, and they certainly didn't need to help us go elsewhere. It turns out we stayed the night and the front desk gave us a full bottle of the Febreeze the cleaning staff uses to help us get as much of the smoke out.. Also, while in the lobby, I overheard a call from another guest asking if they had an extra cell phone charger -- The result, they gave that room their PERSONAL charger to use. So, it wasn't just us, they go beyond the call of duty for others too.
