I was greeted warmly and got some great advice. I needed a ride to the airport so they provided the number for the Airport Shuttle company and I felt relieved! The room was so very clean! I enjoyed the breakfast options. It is nice to see actual, real bacon and all the other choices. It is nice to not have to go out for breakfast. Nice, friendly staff who take time to chat and make you feel comfortable!
Just finished another short stay at the Kamloops BW+. Check-In & Check_Out was very efficient and all the staff friendly. My room was clean and roomy, the bed very comfortable, internet and AC worked great. Great location, ample parking and breakfast was sufficient. Also very nice to have 24-hr coffee machine in lobby. All-in-all, a very comfortable stay.
The hotels in a great location, was very clean & comfortable, & served good options for breakfast. The staff were friendly & responsive to our needs. There was plenty of parking available, and luggage carts were readily accessible. The HVAC system worked great too.
The room was generous and attractive. The whole hotel experience was very pleasant with a varied breakfast and friendly staff. It's close to the hospital and shopping. I would certainly come back again and recommend this hotel to others. It's very good value.
Have just arrived in this hotel at 9 pm after a long journey. Went up to the room to find that there was no soap, shower gel or shampoo in the bathroom. There were blank mounts for dispensers above the bath and they strangely provided a small bottle of mouthwash! I went to reception to complain and all could provide was a bar of soap. Nowhere to put this whilst in the shower as there is no shelf. Pity as the room appears modern and spacious but in 60 years of travelling, I haven't come across this degree of sloppiness from housekeeping.
Room was very clean and had everything you need; tv, internet, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee and heated bathroom floors. Breakfast was really great! The staff I dealt with were so nice and very professional. Pool and hot tub were an added bonus. The additional security in this hotel is comforting. I would definitely stay here again!
We were travelling through and decided to book at this location. I was able to get a good rate (so I thought) and checked in. When we got to our room there was a strong odor. Luckily we brought laundry sheets and were able to open the window/put out a few sheets to help mitigate some of the smell. There were leftover forks by the tv and old food in the fridge. Hair in the shower and on the beds. Bedding was stained as well. It was brought up with the front desk who asked for photos emailed rather than just coming to see the room. No additional comment was made from front desk until checkout when offered 50% off my rate. Great gesture until I realized they charged me a rate plan 40 dollars more than I had booked. I didn't bother addressing this as we needed to get back on the road. Breakfast was delicious - ready made pancakes, eggs, ham slices. Freshly cut fruit. Options for ready cooked veggies if you wanted. Good selection of cereal and yogurt. As well as a coffee/tea bar.
This property should be rated Bestwestern Plus Plus Plus. This hotel exceeded by far all metrics of the BW standards. Everything was immaculate condition and the service was first class.
Azmaeen the CSR at the desk was rude and unhelpful. The group rate we assumed was booked under when mentioned to him/they, he said he could do nothing and it was a take it or leave it type rate and to speak with the manager in the morning if she was willing to help. We over paid by almost $80 but had no choice for the night as we were in town for a competition and as participants we needed an early night. As elite members we were not even offered water or juice. Infect more like dishonored
comfortable quiet rooms, nice pool, very good ample breakfast with lots of variation. Great place for families.
One of our group has mobility challenges. The accessible room we were assigned met their needs far beyond our expectations. We highly recommend the Kamloops Best Western Plus for mobility - challenged travellers and their families!
May 2024 We enjoyed our stay in a pet friendly room on the main floor. The room was spacious and we could have fit a medium sized kennel. We had two queen beds, mini fridge and microwave, desk and chair, lounge chair and small closet. I forgot the dogs bowl and they had one I could borrow. There was a large field beside the parking lot that we took our dog to pee, it was mostly tall thick weeds but did have a little packed down trail to walk on. The pool area was very nice with a little lazy river area in it and a nice hot tub. The breakfast was included and there was choice of fresh fruit, eggs, one type of meat, and a pankcake maker. There was cold and hot cereal and yogurt. There is an expresso machine in the lobby free of charge. I would recommend this place especially if bringing your pet, I saw quite a few other dogs at the hotel but there was no noise/barking issues.
I would have given the hotel full stars if not for the hidden fee we were asked to pay when we arrived an hour and a half before their official check in time! They said the room was ready BUT they charge $30 for early check in! That was our very first encounter with staff when we arrived after a long, tiring winter journey. It definitely soured our stay! I have never encountered an ‘early check in fee' at any other place we have stayed and we have booked many hotel rooms including Best Western in other locations. What a shock, especially when the room was ready! A huge annoyance as well as we were literally left sitting in the lobby waiting for check in. We were able to store our luggage at the hotel and walk around the block but the location is an urban, commercial strip, not an attractive area to wait in. When I emailed the hotel afterwards to complain to the manager I got nothing but run around and lame excuses for the charge, something about giving housekeeping staff more time to get the room ready. Give me a break, the room WAS READY. The hotel is clean and the facilities new, but we don't recommend it at all due to being asked to pay $30 just to check in an hour and a half early.
I stay here often, because my work brings me to Kamloops often. It's my favourite hotel to stay in, parking is never a problem and can accommodate large vehicles. I can plug in my block heater overnight. They have electric car charging now (not that I will ever willingly own one.. but kudos to you for saving the planet if you do). Never had a bad stay, the staff are great and always able to accommodate my strange schedule (late arrivals, early departures with a bag lunch since the Ok, the breakfast is pretty decent too.. I recommend room # 201 because there's a massaging chair in there!
This is such a nice hotel. Very clean and modern inside. The bedroom was very comfortable and spacious. The bed was amazing. The bathroom was great. Breakfast is complimentary and plentiful. Loads of choice including various coffees, cereals, omelettes, pancakes, waffles, etc. The reception staff on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day were professional, friendly and accommodating. The breakfast lady was a gem. We just needed a place to rest our heads half way between Jasper and Whistler but we genuinely had an excellent stay and totally recharged! Thanks guys, keep up the amazing work :-)
we spent xmas at the hotel, it was by far the best hotel we have stayed at in kamloops. The staff is so nice, helpful, and friendly. The breakfast is amazing, so much to choose from, definetly something for everyone even our pickiest kid loved it! the pool and hot tub is salt water and huge. the tv is telus so we could watch on demand tv and rent movies! i would not pick any other hotel!
We had one pet-friendly room which was clean. Family member was in for a medical appointment, and staff gave us clear directions and assistance to get to the hospital. Staff provided dishes for the dog, and gave us information about where to walk the dog, etc. Breakfast was good. Overall a great experience.
I've stayed at quite a few hotels in the area. This is where I will be staying from now on. Clean rooms, friendly staff. Quiet. No strange odors, nothing out of order. Keurig coffee in the rooms, another coffee machine in the lobby. Breakfast is a treat. Self-serve, more than enough options, food was above hotel standard. You can tell that staff take pride in their hotel.
I only stayed here for 1 night but I enjoyed the hotel. My room was spacious and clean with good quality linens and towels. The AC and internet worked fine, and the bed was very comfortable. The included breakfast featured scrambled eggs and bacon - both done well. It was also well located and had amble parking. The hotel could use a little updating on decor. Otherwise, it's clean and well kept. I did not use the pool nor fitness facilities, so I cannot comment on that.
Super accessible room, which had one of the best, Rowland showers and bathrooms I've ever been in. I appreciated that. As well as the flooring was all vinyl laminate, which made it very easy to get around.
The service was great, very friendly and helpful Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean and roomy. Quite, the breakfast was great. I would definitely stay here again. Was able to walk to the restaurant for our meal to eat out.
We only stayed one night, and did not have a reservation, so we appreciated that the staff was able to accommodate our request for a one-bedroom, quiet room. It's an older hotel, but our room was roomy and clean. It's located on a busy highway but our room on the top floor was very quiet.
Loved this BW better than most! It had an EV charging station for our car too! Loved the salt water pool & hot tub! Great Breakfast with lots of variety & hot food. Our bed was very comfortable! I was very happy that the toilet was a higher standard & not a low, short one.
I stayed with the family on a road trip through kamloops. the best western was very well taken care of and in a nice part of town. There was lots of parking and the pool was really nice for the kids to enjoy. We would definitely stay there again.
I am paralysed from the chest down and permanently in a wheelchair without the ability to stand. This is one of the very few hotels that I can use because of my condition. it has a very good roll in bathroom for my commode chair and the bed height is very close to my wheelchair base height so I can use a transfer board (brought myself) to move from wheelchair to bed. Overall there are few if any hotels I know of between Calgary and Vancouver that allow this level of accessibility. Pity they do not have a rolling roof rail so people that need to move by sling could also use the hotel. Install that and tell people they have to bring their own lift/sling devices and chargers and you would have a room that darn near any disabled person could use and be a step ahead of the competition.
Travelled to Kamloops and stayed at the Best Western in Aberdeen. Some concern about the Ross Moore Lake fire but turned out to be a minimal issue even though other guests cancelled during our stay. The suite was quite large with only a few negative comments. Assume others staying in a King Size suite would also be tall and yet the height of the counter in the bathroom was quite low. Also, not sure if this suite is typical for the 4th floor but the sound from the adjoining suite was quite prevalent...possibly from the connecting door. The view was spectacular. The guest services including the breakfast were fine but recommend you try to determine potential noise issues when making your reservation.
This is an older and very well-kept Best Western hotel, one of two locations in Kamloops. This location is closer to downtown with easy access for shopping, dining, and walking along the river. The front desk staff are friendly and professional, the rooms and building are well maintained and clean, and the breakfast good.
We were visiting in Kamloops and preferred not to be directly downtown and this was a great option. Very clean, breakfast was great for an included breakfast, hit the spot. This is the first hotel in a long time that was quiet every night. We slept so well here. The bed was very comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
This hotel was very comfortable, we stayed as part of the Rocky Mountaineer package x the room was beautiful, the bed possibly the most comfortable I have ever slept in, beautiful bathroom products x staff very helpful. The only downside was the restaurant under its roof. I am unsure if it's the same management however I imagine not.
Good location, friendly staff, clean and spacious room Only issue I had it's the sound proofing and I can hear the water is being used from other room during the nights I stayed. Overall great experience
Nice clean hotel. Easy access to hotel. Close to numerous stores and restaurants. Seems like a safe area. Customer service could be better. Back rooms had a peek a boo view of the river. Saltwater pool was clean and relaxing. Hot tub was clean and in working order. No towels in the pool area, even though we called and asked if they had them down there.
I noticed the bedding cover had a big stain on it. The staff should be concerned of making the best impression for their boss/hotel owner. Do not use stained covers it looks bad for the hotel. I liked it overall.
This hotel is old, dingy, musty and very dated. The room smelled, it was dark and the towels in the bathroom were dirty. The breakfast is mediocre at best. I was booked to stay three nights but checked out the first night and went to the Fairfield instead. Save your money, don't stay here.
The Staff and cleanliness was great but the Suite for the price was tiny and poorly lauded out. The bathroom/walk-in shower stall was located diagonally across the suite from the bedroom. The walk-in shower was so narrow I barely fit! The bedroom was so small the luggage rack had to be out in the Mai part of the suite. The hotel is only a few years old but the suite looked outdated. Look else where for better priced way nicer suites in Kamloops.
Our room was cozy and clean. The breakfast was a variety of delicious healthy foods and the staff were polite and friendly. The only issue we had was that our television did not work and the staff were unable to help trouble shoot the problem, due to the hotel being so busy - but other than that it was a great stay. The tv was not a big deal because we had an iPad to watch movies on anyway.
The stay was great. Hassle free, very helpful. The room was clean and warm. There was coffee in the room. The vending machines worked. All very good. I was travelling with young pups and the staff helped accommodate and take the stress away. I got the room closest to the doors going out for easy access
Great place to overnight between the coast and Calgary. Rooms are up to date, clean and comfortable. Staff was proficient and friendly. I've stayed here 8 or 10 times in the past 3 years and plan to stay again.
We had some issues with the billing of rooms and unwillingness to listen when they made a mistake and had to wait for shift change to deal with the mess they made Other than that the breakfast was amazing. Rooms were clean and staff friendly enough
Comfortable and spacious room, fun pool and hot tub for the family, although the pool was a few degrees too cool for an extended hangout with the little one. Breakfast was a highlight; good breakfast variety and selection, including various self-serve bread products including pancakes and French toast, oatmeal and a variety of toppings, and hot items that changed daily. Fewer options for vegans, but they certainly would not go hungry. Overall great value for the price, appreciated the bit of festive Hallowe'en decor in the lobby and breakfast room as well.
Happy with our stay. We had a nice big room, for 4 of us. The location was central and convenient. The hotel & room were clean and the staff was helpful and accommodating. Overall, we were very happy with our experience.
We only had one towel in our room for 5 guests and one of the beds had stained sheets. Our room had 2 queens beds and a pull out couch, the room should have had a minimum of 4 towels sets for this size. The towels we finally did get had so much bleach in them that our eyes were burning and swollen the following morning. Our sheets should have been changed or the stains noticed if they were changed.
What a great hotel. We had such a lovely stay at this hotel. The fitness centre, pool and hot tub are awesome. The complimentary breakfast was exceptional. I would highly recommend this hotel for a family, individual or couples. Nice area and a pretty nice view of the valley.
Stayed during surgery standby, and staff were very accommodating. Quite costly but it was Labor Day weekend. Enjoyed our time, and heard the breakfast was very good. My daughter really enjoyed the pool as well.
Definitely worth the stay, the value of the room is worth it. I don't have a pet but they also do provide pet friendly rooms which is always nice to consider that as well. The beds are very comfy and being across the road from a Starbucks was a big bonus!
I had a great stay here. It was a busy long weekend and I was exhausted, but they offered me an early check in to place my bags and unwind before my tournament. The location was very easy to access and travel about. The breakfast room was clean, practical for a solo traveller or group, and there was plenty of food and beverages. Will definitely come back and use this facility again
272$ for one night on a Tuesday, really wasn't worth the price tag thought I'd treat myself to a nicer room and paid 300$ for a pretty average mediocre room stayed at Marriott two days later what a world of difference for the same price.
all the employees where very friendly and helpful , the room was very clean and spacious , the beds very comfy. The breakfast was excellent whit lots of healthy choices . Nice swimming pool and hot tub. Good location. Overall a very pleasant stay
First impressions count and the BW doesn't really scream "Plus" to me. A hotel that locks it's main doors for safety reasons over night, and IMPLORES you to remove all valuables from your vehicle is a bit worrying from the get go. The room itself was basic and seemed vaguely clean. If hotels are going to suspend cleaning during a guests stay the REALLY have to do a better job of cleaning between stays. Actually cleaning with a vacuum cleaner and elbow grease. Oh and BW toilet paper is some of the flimsiest I have ever come across.
As a disabled person, I like to travel. My greatest problem is getting around how most rooms are setup for people that still have some ability to stand or turn. I am paralysed from the chest down and getting older. This means I cannot climb up onto high beds from the wheelchair because I cannot stand in any way. I also use a commode chair for toiletries and showers and most accessible rooms do not have showers I can take a commode chair in. They expect me to transfer to a bench and shower that way. Because of my high paralysis, I have terrible balance. I cannot control my stomach muscles and that would be dangerous and once I hit the floor, almost impossible to get me back into my chair. That said, this hotel has a great, large bathroom that allows me to use my commode chair easily. The bathroom is probably 10x10 feet and showering and toiletries with a commode chair is relatively easy. Bed height is a touch high but not terrible. I know the bed in the second accessible room was too high for easy transfers but I do not know if they have changed that mattress to lower it a bit. A shorter woman who had used that room before me has commented that it was too high for her to get on the bed easily. I would simply ask the front desk to measure the mattress height and compare it to your wheelchair seat height. I would like to see the Hotel have a transfer board available for the accessible rooms but I always bring my own in any case.
This hotel presents a nice breakfast and rooms are pretty standard. However this hotel has a RCMP documented history of theft from their guests vehicles. Do not leave anything on your vehicle or visible inside.
The Hotel was closed lots of different types of restaurants and fast foods all within walking distance. Also close to lots of food stores and within 5 minutes of three different malls. We were there for a baseball tournament and it was only 8 minutes the the diamonds. Looking forward to coming back.
excellent hotel for a stop over, near restarants an rooms very comfortable. The hotel corridors are a bit daunting in that they are not the brighteat or freshest in decor, but excellent staff, and facilities
Great place to stop for an overnighter. Big comfy beds and very clean . The most amazing thing about this place is the breakfast buffet which is complimentary . Everything you could imagine including bacon , eggs , waffles and pancakes . Would definitely stay here again .
A great stay, staff went beyond our expectations and were greeted with smiles! The Breakfast was awesome, so many choices! They have a pancake conveyor belt, which as you can image was a HUGE hit and so taste!!!!
This hotel was very clean. It offered guests a decent breakfast and there was a coffee machine in the lobby which you could get various types of coffee or hot chocolate at any time. The room was a very good size and the decor was updated.
Took my two daughters for a fun getaway they totally enjoyed the hotel and had a great time swimming and using the hot tub. We all had an excellent sleep and felt totally refreshed and relaxed. The staff were excellent friendly and very helpful.
Suggest that BW Work Plan do not include work Construction when Guests are on the floor below, who will hear the loud noise while trying to sleep at or up to 11:13 pm. At 7:30 am construction work started again. We checked out early as we could not even sleep in.
Quick and efficient Reception, spacious room, comfortable bed & duvet, weak WiFi kept disconnecting us from internet, good TV channel selection for sports & movies, good breakfast selection & quality, close to several restaurants along urban highway.
Room was clean, however walls must be paper thin as we could hear the kids in the room next to us quite easily. The breakfast offered was extremely disappointing. The "hot" items sit in a warmer..don't be fooled thinking you are getting a fresh omelet. It was a folded piece of carboard sitting in a warmer. NOT prepared for you. No fresh waffles etc. 2 varieties of muffins, 2 varieties of sweet granola bar, cold boiled egg, green apples. Oh.. packaged oatmeal you could mix in hot water. 2 types of cold cereal- rice krispies and chex. Bagels were offered, however i have never had a bagel like this before- textures was not the typical heavy bagel, it was light and airy. Needless to say, we went out for breakfast the next day.
Mohit at reception was awesome and made us feel so special. The rooms were so clean with excellent view. Awesome customer experience. I would definitely recommend BW at Kamloops if you are travelling from Calgary to Vancouver or vice versa.
Clean, quiet, service oriented; we were just passing through Kamloops en route to Vancouver, didn't know exactly where we would end up so didn't prebook but it was no problem finding the hotel and checking in. Excellent wifi and good choices for the included breakfast.
The hotel is easy to get to, the room was clean, the staff was friendly and efficient. I really love the ease of check-in and check-out when you are a rewards member. I would definitely stay here again.
Went to Kamloops for a weekend track meet. Hotel was idea forbour purpose. Close to where the meet was and plenty of choice of restaurants nearby. This BW is an excellent place to stay in Kamkoops for any reason. I try to use this chain whenever I can but as it becomes more popular it is often difficult to find accommodation, especially at short notice.
Family of 4 on a 3 night stay to ski at sunpeaks. Usually we stay in sunpeaks and pay $350/night but this year I couldn't afford that so this $180 full suite (microwave and fridge) was perfect for us just a 45 min drive to the mountain and the pool was a huge hit with my young kids as was the full breakfast. Planning on staying here next year too. Clean, modern, easy Highway access to sunpeaks, right near dominos and Tim Hortons- great choice!
Beds were grossly soft! Sunk right in. Stayed 5 nights with 4 people room was not cleaned or refilled until I complained the fourth day. One front desk clerk was very rude but the others were good. Hot tub had no jets, they said they were waiting on a part to fix it.
Passing through town and needed to stay 1 night, this location is our 'go to' spot in Kamloops. The rooms are always clean, staff are friendly, and the beds are consistently comfortable. We know it's going to be the same, consistent experience each time.
Staff awesome and friendly, check in and out smooth. First room had some noticeable and concerning stains on the sheets. Staff quickly rectified and got us a new room. Central location for shops and food as my husband and I stayed to go shopping for Xmas and are from out of town. Breakfast had options but eggs bland.
Speedy check-in and check-out was great for a night doing a long distance delivery. I didn't book ahead, but they had a spacious room for me, access to the pool and because I left too early for their complimentary breakfast, they had a few packed breakfasts to give out to go for early guest checkouts (at 2 am!)
Great hotel. The front desk employees were very friendly at both check in and check out. Bed was super comfortable and room was very clean. Loved the coffee machine in the lobby where you could get fancy beverages like lattes and cappuccinos. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone staying in Kamloops.
Beautiful Hotel. Clean and modern look. I have stayed in many Hotels over the years and the Best Western plus is at the top of my list now. Lots of parking and close to City amenities. Friendly staff and very help full I was on a ski trip with friends and the hot tub and pool where a nice perk. Well worth it. I will be staying at this hotel again.
Super friendly staff Super clean Great for family's or even business. Amazing view of the mountains. The wood style ceiling were definitely a surprise look to the room Great for tall people, tall ceilings.
Had a comfortable stay, room was nicely updated and had everything we needed. Very clean, bed was comfortable and had lots of pillows. Great choices for breakfast with friendly service. Hot tub was perfect
Sad to report that my business stay ended in finding a Bed Bug alive in the room I was staying in. Naturally I was horrified.Although the general manager apologized to me, they did not compensate me. I had many things to replace including my luggage. They claimed they “didn't know where the bed bugs came from” as their reason to not compensate me. Does that sound right to you?
Good location within walking distance to restaurants and grocery stores. Ample parking with 2 EV chargers, although shared with wheelchair spots. Semi sketchy area of street people…..keep valuables out of sight!
Staff and hotel were both excellent. Would recommend anyone to stay here. Questions were answered, explained areas of interest and advised us on weather conditions for driving to Vancouver on our last day.
Checked in, nice stay. I had no issues, that is wonderful. The staff was good, rooms good, I have no complaints. I am a fussy person. Many times there has been some type of issue, this was a great hotel.
We had 2 little pups travelling with us. The room was spacious, clean & all hard floors. No carpet anywhere was just the best & we appreciated this positive experience. We'll definitely stay here again.
Staff friendly. Room clean & efficient. Was nice having a separate bedroom and living room. No decaf coffee but nice coffee service. Breakfast ok. Would have liked a bit more variety. Would stay there again.
Travelling with a pet has its challenges but this property made it convenient with ground floor room that had easy access to outside. Cookies upon arrival were a nice touch. Huge room with tiled floors worked well for our 1 night stay. Free breakfast was a bonus and self serve cappuccino topped the checkout.
I find the sound-proofing in the room was not the greatest, as I could hear lots of noises from the hallway and footsteps from the upstairs' room. But I just finished a 4 week vacation with my girlfriend, and this was the most comfortable bed we've slept in during our trip. Kudos!
We stayed at the hotel in September 2021. The room was very clean and the design of the room was lovely. The lobby had a wonderful coffee machine, where you can make cappuccinos, latte or other drinks you like 24/7. The quality of the drinks is better than some fancy coffee shops. The hotel still featured hot breakfast, which was very nica given that the majority of the hotels switched to bagged breakfast.
When we checked in, we were given key cards to a room that was already occupied so we had to drag our luggage back down to get a new room. The room we were given hadn't been properly cleaned. It was obvious that someone had been sitting on one of the beds and there was dirt and fluff where their feet had been on the bed spread. The bathroom counter was sticky and the tap was very streaked so I had to clean those. A dirty, used washcloth was still hanging on the shower rod. There was a long dark hair in the sink - we are both blonde. I dusted the lint and dust off the tv table and the Kleenex box. The hotel was apparently completely booked so I just cleaned up and we kept the room. We also overheard 3 different guests complaining about issues with their rooms. One guest was very angry as his issues hadn't been attended to. We are BW rewards members and I'm sad to say that this was very disappointing.
I reserved a room through Best Western's website. I specified I needed a room for a handicapped person. This instruction was not passed on to the hotel. What was interesting was they noted I was a new client but passed on contact info that I haven't used since April 2020. The hotel did find a handicap suite but obviously the designer has never travelled with a handicapped person. I suggest they look at the handicapped room at the Heartland Hotel in Lamont, AB to see what one should look like
Stayed here one night during our recent road trip. Front staff were friendly enough and pool was lovely. The room was large and comfortable as was the bed. Unfortunately we could hear a number of neighbours well into the night - stomping and banging (cupboards?). Thankfully it eventually settled. Breakfast was lovely, especially being a hot breakfast with options to choose from. Would likely stay again in future.
We had a suite, I was meeting a friend for the weekend and we really enjoyed the pool and hot tub, the location was awesome and the lady working the breakfast room was so joyful and pleasant. We really enjoyed them a lot. A downside was laundry room out of order but the front desk person directed us to a laundromat close by Also the bed was kind of worn out and we kept rolling into the middle. My friend seemed to always have to renew his key but mine worked the whole time! We enjoyed many sites and restaurants in the area. Really love Kamloops and hope to return again soon. Overall it was a great stay and we like the Best Western Plus a lot!
This seems to be a newer property. We were very happy with our stay. Columbia Street is a busy place which means lots of restaurants and places to shop. Yet the rooms are very quiet. The young lady in the breakfast room was a true delight and the beakfast was terrific. We will stay here again
We needed a place to stay on our way to Vancouver Island and almost every hotel in Merritt was booked already, so we chose Kamloops for our overnight stay. Got a special rate on the Best Western Plus and we were very happy with our stay. Big room, very comfortable beds and very convenient location close to several restaurants and shops. We didn't use the swimming pool, hot tub or fitness centre, but they all looked good. The free breakfast was good, with hot options to choose from ( bagels, pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon), plus the usual continental breakfast items like yogurt, fruit, pastries and coffee and juice. Will definitely stay here again on a next visit to Kamloops.
The hotel wasn't bad just too expensive for what you get. Our first room was only half cleaned but they switched rooms for us. The pool wasn't very clean. It is a decent hotel but not worth $235. The breakfast wasn't very good but with the COVID restrictions it's to be expected. I didn't think they would even serve breakfast.
Stayed with my daughter in a King suite, and my mom & sister in another double queen room. Each room was large, clean and well laid out. We were able to gather in the suite to play games & watch TV together with enough seats & room for 5-6. Breakfast options were great and all of the staff was very friendly.
Excellent accommodations, clean and conveniently located. Staff were good to deal with and helpful. The room was well maintained. Breakfast area was clean and the choices were god, Staff again were very friendly.
Wonderful hotel staff. The pool and gym are great but the show stopper is the breakfast! Convenient location for any family passing through to get to other destinations or for those sticking around Kamloops for longer stays.
Hotel is nice and clean but bed was not comfortable and we had a screaming kid next room and got no sleep. Not the hotels fault I guess but not one person asked how our stay was, which I was disappointed about. Just said to ourselves we'd very likely never stay at this location again. Be warned the pancakes are really gross too. Maybe just a one time thing but it was like eating wet flour.
Bedding, towels, Kleenex, coffee cups, drinking cups were missing. One unclean looking towel hung up. Location good - breakfast good. Staff wanted me to pick up missing supplies from the front desk. They did bring up some, but were complaining.
Price is high for what you get. Great to have breakfast included! Good to have 24 hr check in. A great location to use Air Miles rewards at. Will be better when the pandemic is over. More complimentary items for the price.
The hotel, good location I was attending lectures at TRU so was less than 10min walk. Breakfast was OK, not lot of choice. The room was not very clean, had some stains in the carpet. And all the coffee maker and cups was full of dust. Paid nearly 200 a night and expected better quality, was there 5 nights. The pool area child friendly.
We were supposed to stay in Merritt BC but due to the fires we felt unsafe, The Best Western in Kamloops had a vacancy so we went there instead. The room was nice and clean, the beds were comfy and the internet was quick. My grandson loved the pool area. The breakfast was nice and hot, we had a western omelette with toast. The girls serving the breakfast were very friendly and helpful.
We had booked a pet room and it was confirmed by the front desk agent. Two days prior they cancelled our room because the front desk person did not actually book a pet room or get the guest number right. He was very busy getting me signed up for the rewards program though. We were travelling from 5 hrs away for a medical appointment with no other options, we live in rural BC. Very disappointed in BW, check your e-mail reservations if you book with these jokers.
check in was fast desk clerk was super friendly and our room was vey comfy and clean! pool was amazing with the lazy river in it ! love it ! breakfast was like a take out resurant would rather it be bifft style but thats ok :)
We stayed here for one night stop over on our way to Alberta. We arrived late at night and the lady on reception was super attentive and very kind offering is a free late check out if we needed it. The room is clean and well appointed with good coffee and tea making facilities. Unfortunately the walls are paper thin and you can hear most of what goes on around you throughout the night and early morning, so not a restful nights sleep at all and we are not light sleepers, particularly after a long journey. Due to covid protocols breakfast is served as a canteen style, which is fine and totally understandable, but as a result the food is not good. Cold scrambled eggs and cold sausages and just not tasty. It's a shame as this hotel has the potential to be great.
First time staying at this particular location. It was nice enough for the price and location. Room was clean and inviting, air worked well and the beds were soft and comfortable after a long day on the road. Lots of food choices near by and the casino is 7 min away. I'd stay here again.
My job is to book travel accommodation for pilots performing wildfire suppression efforts throughout Western Canada. I think most people don't realize that hotels often will prioritize higher paying vacation guests (especially in peak areas during the summer) and it can be extremely stressful and difficult to try to find last minute accommodation for our employees. Jennifer Krohn (the operations manager of this location) and the rest of the staff have gone above and beyond this forest fire season to make arrangements for our staff (the first responders fighting the fires in that area). While many other hotels in this area refused to even put us on a wait list, or price gouged our first responders due to limited availability, this hotel made special arrangements to ensure that we had a place to stay. I hope that others recognize and support businesses like this that are doing their best and prioritizing the forest fire suppression efforts (not trying to profit off the fact that rooms are of limited availability).
After a nine hour drive we checked into room, unpacked sat down to relax and a dog started barking and whining. Went into hallway and found the noise was coming from the room next door. Knocked on the door no answer. While in the hallway another dog approached and was led into the room two doors in the other direction from my room. Reported to staff and the only solution to the barking, whining dog was for my wife and I repack and move to another room. I would expect this situation in a lower priced motel not at a Best Western Plus!
This is a perfect place to rest between Edmonton and Vancouver. The grandchildren loved the swimming pool. The lazy river was thoroughly enjoyed. The breakfast offered was delicious. My grandson was thrilled that he could go back for seconds. They even offered glutten free bread for our daughter with a wheat allergy. Will definitely stop again.
The front desk staff at this hotel was not friendly and in fact, rather abrupt. We had to call for more towels and soap and the front desk clerk was rude and told us we had to get it ourselves. For the price, we were not satisfied as this was no better a hotel than the 2 star hotels we would typically stay at.
Staff never explained chages so even though breakfast was included we went away to find a restaurant before continuing on our trip. Rooms very clean quiet area so had good sleep. Staff snooty did not take time to explain new corvic. Changes
Stay pleasant great staff felt safe great breakfast. Building appearance good parking good.Room nice size. Felt welcome safe good location.Nice decor and lobby. Covid protocol excellent staff helpful great attitude.
We love staying here and do so about once a month or so. Most of the staff are amazing and our status are always great. This time was extra special! We had the pleasure of meeting their newest staff member from the front desk Miss Tatjanna and what an amazing , sweet wonderful young lady. She's always happy ,cheerful and always goes out of her way above and far beyond to make sure every single person feels amazing. She focuses her attention 100% on whoever she's talking to , maintains amazing eye contact . We've been staying in hotels around the world for years and have yet to encounter such amazing customer service. Good job Best Western you've definetely gained your best asset with Tatjanna at your front desk.
We chose this hotel for the pet friendly rooms and easy access out back for our small dog. The room was very large and clean. The beds were super comfy and in fact I wrote down the name on the pillow so I could find them for home. My only complaint is people who don't pick up after their pets.
Nicely decorated and clean room, the bed was soft and the room had nice separate sitting area. Great hot breakfast that you order and good to see staff wash tables each time someone left. Front desk clerk was amazing and helpful and I really appreciate her thoughtful actions of letting us park in well lit area.
The motel has made it very easy to stay and be comfortable while the pandemic is on going. The use the pool was made easy and the motel has created a great way to get breakfast served in the morning. Staff are always pleasant and it is a great place to stay.
An overnight stay here to get away and go out for a nice dinner in Kamloops. Our room was ready when we arrived which was a bit earlier than normal check in time. We were on the 4th floor with a view overlooking the front entrance and city. We had previously stayed on the opposite side and noticed it was a bit quieter than this time. Room was clean. Normal amenities such as TV, coffee supplies, small fridge , etc. Breakfast was provided and in spite of Covid, they offered a very good selection. Upon check out our vehicle wouldn't start so the front desk receptionist offered to get their maintenance person to boost my battery. Turned out to be a loose terminal but he had the proper tools to secure it. Great service by the receptionist and maintenance. Thank you!
This room was not very clean. Dirt on the remote and cheese on the couch. The bathroom had hair from the previous guest. All at a time when there is suppose to be better cleaning for covid. The staff was not willing to help at all.
Great price and terrific room. The view our towards the east is nice. Well appointed and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good and it was prepared nice touch given the COVID situation. Front end staff very helpful and knowledgable about amenities near hotel.
I will be staying here again at least twice, on my next return to Northern B.C. coming this October. We both felt safe and comfortable during this not so pleasant time of Covid19, when it has been necessary for my husband and me to travel. From the moment we were greeted in the lobby, that was well marked out for guests to stand and be spaced out properly . There was a refreshment area set up for guests upon arrival while waiting to register/ check in. I would recommend an excellent stay in the Best Western Plus Hotel in Kamloops, BC..
We had a staycation for my daughters 5th birthday. We had a wonderful time! The bed was very comfortable and we really enjoyed the pool! The service was excellent! Loved the option of still having breakfast for my girls with covid!
The rooms could use some updating, but they were very large and comfortable. The staff was very friendly, though the checkin process took a long time (almost 30 minutes). There was only one person on duty at peak check in time (she mentioned they were a bit shorthanded) and there was a long line of people checking in (properly spaced). As several didn't have reservations and/or weren't Rewards members, it took a while. But good location for a night's stay when on the road, close to the highway and restaurants. Good breakfast options in the time of Covid.
Felt safe from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Lots of parking, room was nice, we disinfected the room ourselves just to be extra cautious. Breakfast was good, you order and get served your meal from behind barriers. very safe.
Beautiful clean hotel. Friendly professional staff and service. The reception lady was awesome! Rooms are bright and spacious, staff and Hotel all are complying to Covid rules assuring comfort and safety to all their guests. We highly recommend this well kept well managed hotel.
We enjoyed our sty, it was a first hotel stay since the CoVid pandemic hit Canada. We were not sure what to expect. The staff were excellent, we felt welcomed and safe. We had a great sleep in an awesome bed, enjoyed breakfast and continued our journey. Thank you BW!!!
Only place we stay when in Kamloops. The staff are always friendly and offer amazing customer service. My wife has a service dog and we have 2 teenagers and they love the lazy river and size of the pool.
We had a great stay at this location, staff was friendly, easy to talk to and all were very helpful. The cost per night was good for the value we got, especially due to the Covid. The check in was easy, from desk staff was very helpful in providing us with a location for dining, we got to the hotel sort of late. I would go there again, hands down.
Great hotel. Best Best Western I have been to in a while. Nice staff. Clean. But my car was vandalized and played stolen in the parking lot. No warning or caution on check in. Then when it happened, they said it happens all the time. Their security footage was mute. Awful end to a nice stay. Dont stay here if you have a car. It will get vandalized and people in Kamloops just consider that "normal".
Very clean. Very friendly and helpful receptionist. Even with the Covid protocols in place, the check-in and next morning complimentary breakfast went very smoothly. Great location and easy to get to many restaurants and shopping centres.
Pool was open just had to call for swim times. Grab bag breakfast Service was awesome very helpful had options for paying Quiet Great location Nice and dark in room Love the heated bathroom floor Fridge/microwave
The hotel has a covered area next to the foyer for un/loading your car when arriving or departing- good when snowing. The lift is big making it easy to get suitcases in. The breakfast was superb, immaculately clean and well catered. The rooms are a good size. The bed & pillows excellent for comfort and rest. The hotel has a car wash, gas station and shopping centres close by. Good location for the shuttle bus to Sun Peaks. The young bloke at the reception was very helpful with the invoicing. If lucky enough to return to Kamloops, we'd gladly stay again.
good place to stop while travelling through BC. Friendly staff. Reasonabley priced. Located for easy access to the main highways. The rooms are a little dated, but comfortable. Quiet location. Would recommend to friends and family.
The rooms were large and CLEAN!. They are pet friendly and accepted our 20lb dog no problem (with a pet fee of course). We stayed at two other hotels throughout the province this trip and none of them were as clean as the Best Western. Definitely will stay here again.
The room was very clean, large with a large bathroom. The hotel had a large clean pool and hot tub. There was also a continental breakfast. The internet was fast and efficient. Staff was friendly and able to answer all questions.
The hotel is kept very clean and the beds/rooms are comfortable. The breakfast offers multiple options from eggs/bacon to oatmeal and fruit. The location is close to shopping as well as the bus system.
Traveling with my daughter and 4 little ones and staff were friendly and accommodating and made it a pleasant break in a stressful travelling time. (/roads were bad). We chose to stop to make it more fun for kids and the pool and breakfast made it a joy to travel with the family.
In town for business so spent the night. Was offered advance check-in via BW's mobile app so proceeded that route. When I got the to lobby all I had to do was show ID and the CC I was using. I was upgraded in room (KS on top floor). Very quiet on the back side of hotel, room was clean and it was quiet.
We were traveling down to Kamloops for a funeral of a close family member...a parent! I asked if they have any special rates for people traveling for a funeral and staying 3 nights. I was told the manager that looks after these types of special rates was away until the following week which doesn't help us at all. The room we were given was directly across from the elevator so we could hear people waiting/exiting the elevator and all the cleaning staff with their trolleys early in the morning. I must say the room was very clean and nice, even though it faced the parking lot and columbia street The bed had a big hole/dip in the one side and made me feel like I was gonna roll out of bed onto the floor. The pool was very very cold which made my daughter shiver almost immediately. The hot tub was almost too hot to use...I'm guessing it was 103f or 104f which was quite surprising for a hotel hot tub. There are no change rooms in the pool area and the shower is right on the pool deck area. Both nights we used the pool/hot tub there were no towels left in the pool area to dry off with. The breakfast room was nice and spacious. It had a nice selection of toast, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, muffins, cereal, and juice/milk/coffee to drink, unfortunately the food was cold 2 out of the 3 days we were there. There is no bar or restaurant in this hotel so both nights we were forced to order out and leave the hotel to go get dinner. We would have of had 2 other groups of family members stay there with us but we couldn't rightfully recommend this hotel to them as it was very expensive and we couldn't give it a good review after our first night there. DEFINITELY not a 4 stay hotel !!
I have been seeking out BW Plus on all my trips over the past 3 years. Their hiring of quality staff is excellent (no I do not have any family working for them) and their attitudes are always great. The rooms and amenities are first class for my purposes and the range can be very first class to always a room and hotel I can count on. BW Plus Kamloops never disappoints.
The building is great but the service is poor. Food trashes on the room carpet, loose treadmill in the fitness room. Only 2 towels in the room whereas I had made a reservation for 2 adults and 2 kids. Staff don't show a welcoming attitude. This place has lower quality compared to BW Plus hotels in Ft McMurray and Fernie.
The staff were very courteous of all our needs. The room and hotel was clean and presentable. The beds were neat and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and complimentary with our stay. Excellent
The Best Western in Kamloops is an excellent hotel to stay at in the area. The view over the city with the Xmas lights sparkling was delightful. The staff from all levels to the front desk, breakfast nook and cleaning staff were pleasant and accomodating for whatever we needed. The hotel was nicely decorated for Xmas which made our stay even more pleasant.
Best Western is my go too hotel chain and has been for a dozen or more years. Now sort of retired it's still my #1 go to. Always friendly staff and you know that you will be satisfied with the experience each and every time. Their are minor differences in each hotel but I have never not been pleased
I'd recommend this hotel, out of all the Best Westerns in Western Canada, this is in the top 3 and the breakfast was probably one of the best if not the best. There are also decent restaurants within minutes from here.
Huge rooms and very professional hotel. Our stays here frequently on business in the Kamloops area. Only complaint is that beds are too hard for my liking. The hotel is near two great Indian restaurants.
The staff are always great to deal with, rooms are clean, pool and hot tub are great and you always get a good nights rest. Breakfast is always great with many options for anyone to choose from. Great place to have a family stay.
This is a great hotel for a business stay. Very functional. The pool and hot tub were amazing and relaxing after a days work. The breakfast was served on paper plates which I thought greatly diminished the otherwise quite tasty experience. Convenient location though.
Every "once-in-awhile" we get pleasantly surprised by an exemplary property and its staff. This certainly applies to the Best Western Plus Kamloops Hotel. The front desk personnel treated us as special people. We were also pleasantly surprised by the room upgrade that was given to us. The small suite was incredibly clean, modern, and everything worked to our satisfaction. Prospective travelers should also be aware that a complementary breakfast is available. We appreciated the wide array of cold and hot items. We tried hard to find something wrong with this hotel. We were unsuccessful. We have no hesitation in recommending this fine property.
Great location for a halfway point between Edmonton and Vancouver! Wonderful for families. PET Friendly which is great for us and our pup. Close to a huge assortment of restaurants and fuel stations. It is our go to place for the past six years.
We found the location of this hotel to be its most appealing attraction. Staff looked tired, and displayed very poor customer service. There was a miasma of cigarettes throughout the hotel. Breakfast was unappealing, however, the coffee tasted great.
hotel was almost 3/4 full, quiet night and very comfy bed. microwave and fridge an asset. only thing that woke us up was the maid but it was 8 am and time to get on with the day. Wifi wasn't the greatest but it worked. Room was clean but dusty - they should have done a quick room check before we arrived.
this was a last minute stop in Kamloops and and we were lucky to get a room everything I had checked on line was booked but took a shot and they had a room available . The front desk people were very nice and helpful as well as the Breakfast ladies were very accommodating. Overall a great hotel and is close to plenty of restaurants and stores.
Having spent five days at the Osoyoos Best Western which was amazing, we decided to stay at the Best Western Kamloops. This was very disappointing. The room was depressingly dark but clean and tidy. The front desk staff were disinterested. Breakfast was mediocre. This hasn't stopped us using Best Western Hotels.
I stayed here on a stop over on the way from jasper back to Vancouver. It was a nice base from which to have dinner out in jasper and do some shopping. The place is clean , good sized rooms, and the bed was very comfortable. I personally slept very badly as there was a green smoke alarm light right above my bed which I could do nothing about and did emit quite a lot of light when it was dark. I ended up on the small sofa at one point just to get away from being under the light. I am sure this wouldn't at all bother most people but I find it hard to sleep without darkness. The breakfast which was free was functional and nice but nothing to write home about. There is a smallish pool and small fitness room (it's not a gym). An average place but a decent stop over with free parking.
I enjoyed the room and the bed. I slept very well. The breakfast was kind of basic, good, but basic. And the gym the same, quite basic. The staff was nice and chatty. The hotel is far from the downtown (not that there is much to see there).
Didn't give me all of my reward points, or my Green option points. Room was dusty, poor housekeeping. Asked for a late checkout, put the DND sign on the door, the housekeeper still disturbed us early, and asked if we were a late checkout, I said yes, she said front desk didn't tell her, front desk said they did and got in to a blame game. No towels in the pool area. Wifi kept dropping off. This BW location continues to deliver poor service, on the most basic of things. The saving grace was the dining room attendant 2 of the three nights we stayed there was fantastic, professional, and attentive. I wish a second BW would open in Kamloops so we had options.
The hotel is in a good location, the rooms are very comfortable, staff are friendly. Nice selection for breakfast, lots of parking. Thought that the running/walking map was a very nice touch . Will definitely stay at this property again.
Always stay here any time we are in Kamloops. Very clean and friendly staff. Great location. Breakfast is a variety of options. Love the pancake maker...so quick. Breakfast room kept spotless.very comfortable beds.
We stay at the BW Plus Kamploop with our little dog for 2 nightsl The room is nice a big and the floor is not carpet which is very nice, make the room feel cleaner. The staffs are very helpful and good breakfast. Closed to the look out so we can go for a short walk down to check out the view.
Not happy with the service. Hope if they improve it. Won't recommend anyone who is looking for any preferred membership services which they get any other bestwestern where they are valued. I am not going stay at this hotel anymore.
Gone downhill. Stay here every year on labour day weekend and have been extremely satisfied except for this year. Price has increased by 25/30% per night and lack of staff has created areas of concern.
This is a really great hotel with many amenities. The rooms are clean and spacious, the breakfast is really good and the staff are very friendly. It has everything you need for either business or personal travel.
This hotel is fairly new. The service was great. The rooms spacious. For the most part the room and bathroom were very clean. There was one housekeeping issue but management took care of the issue and made sure our stay was good.
Great location, easy access to freeway as well as downtown. Rooms were clean, quite spacious and well maintained. Service was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was as good as can be expected for situation. Lots of parking, quite quiet, bed was good and bedding was quite nice. Pool area was clean and hot tub was nice and hot.
The staff were very helpful with storing my sons downhill mountain bike and consistently offered other assistance as requested. Thefoodservicestaffhpedwoth special food required by my son due to gluten intolerance .
This hotel is older, but had clean rooms. Location was good off highway easy to find. Basic breakfast provided. Rooms seemed a bit on the smaller size for 4 of us sharing one room. Front desk were very courteous and even allowed us to check in early after travellig all day which was nice.
Love the pool! Love the fitness centre! Rooms are always clean and in good working order. I was travelling with young grandsons this trip. They loved the breakfast buffet; great selection and easily able to accommodate two very different appetites.
I had issues with my reservation due to BW corporate policies. After being spun around by some national BW employees, I decided to stay at this hotel anyway - mostly because the women at the front desk was so kind. Know, the following: the parking is ample, the rooms are fine, the breakfast was better than average, the WiFi worked very well and the service was professional. Over the last two weeks, I have stayed in maybe 7 different properties throughout south and south-central BC (Cranbrook, Kelowna, Grand Forks, Kamloops, twice, and Whistler. All of these stays involved Wyndham, Hilton and some independents - this BW was the best.
Although the lobby and exterior of the hotel look nice the rooms are horribly furnished. Bed is uncomfortable, walls are paper thin and the decor is horrendous. Stay at the Sandman Signature which is less expensive and in a completely different leauge than this place.
The Kamloops Best Western has made a pretty good accessible room with excellent bathroom facilities. The bathroom is very large and fully tiled, including a wheel in shower (also bench provided) with a large amount of room for even the largest clients. The general suite has a large main room with a secondary bedroom off to the side. The bed in the room is comfortable but very hard to get onto because of the height off the ground. People in wheelchairs who cannot stand will have problems getting on the bed and may have to use the fold out couch which makes into a twin bed. This hotel gives you a lot more room to pay with than any other hotel I have stayed at. As a disabled male (late 50's) who cannot stand I have used this hotel on multiple occasions and my only caution is the height of the main queen sized bed. If you can weight bear this is less of a problem but the bed may still be high for shorter people (under 5'4") who can stand.
The hotel was in good location but most hotels in Kamloops are. The inside decor is very clean but just a dark outdated interior. It was the noise level that would deter me from staying again. I could hear the footsteps from the floor above very easy. So much so that it woke me in the early morning. Also the noise from the hallway was easily heard too. The bathrooms in the room are at same end as the beds so the disturbance of noise from someone in the bathroom can be heard when you are in bed too. Whereas other hotels placement of the bathroom is right when you open the door so there is more separation from the noise and the opening off the bathroom door isn't immediately right into the main sitting and sleeping area of the room. This was by far the biggest downfall of this hotel. I could put up with the outdated decor but if you are a light sleeper then pack earplugs or avoid booking here or you won't get much sleep.
We recently stayed here for 6 nights at the end of June. During our stay, while recovering from a medical situation, we experienced horrible main desk service on a daily basis. We do a fair bit of travelling and have always found that the front desk staff set the tone for a stay- asking how your day has been, what are your plans while you stay, are you new to the area, a simple good Morning, just wholesome down to earth customer service. The front desk staff at this location needs major overhauls. Seldom ever acknowledging anyone to the point of being rude. We were locked out of our room continually so we had a lot of interactions with front desk staff. Sadly, while they were having problems with their electronic locks, we the guests were made to feel like an inconvenience. At 1 point 4 of us on the 4th floor were locked out of our rooms and looked at each other wondering who would draw the short straw to go down to the main desk to ask for help to get us in our rooms yet again. On day 3, it took no less than 3 trips down to request the key be reset. Finally on the last trip I asked the gal to come up with me as I wasn't going to go down any more times. Our saving grace at this hotel was the breakfast hostess- Michelle. She was so friendly, asking everyone how their Day was going, did they need anything. She should be a trainer for the rest of the team. She is the reason we didn't check out earlier and find a different place to stay. The hotel is clean and well taken care of. It is easy to find and located close to many places that can be walked to.
I was at the end of an 8 day tour and stayed over to catch a flight home the next day. The hotel itself was excellent. My only issue is that I did not have a car and there were no restaurants near by.
This by far one of the best hotel we have stayed at,Clean and modern ,friendly staff very nice hot breakfast, Great pool, hot tub and gym.Would definitely stay hear again Reasonably priced as well.Conveniently close to shopping and restaurants.
While driving from Edmonton to Maple Ridge decided to stop in Kamloops. The Best Western hotel offered indoor pool and breakfast included. We were travelling with our 4 year old grandson. Would highly recommend this hotel. Staff knowledgeable about area. Very courteous.
Excellent location, staff and hotel! There were 9 of us on a motorcycle trip throughout western Canada, and they took care of our group with ease! Will definitely be back on a future ride! Most importantly, the hot tub was hot!
Nice location and well priced. I was surprised at how close it was into town off the highway, after driving all day it's nice to get to your location with having to navigate all over town. Clean hotel room and decently priced.
My adult daughter and I stayed here for 4 nights and overall, it met my expectations. The included breakfast was good, although they only change the eggs/meat between 2 options so it would have been nice to have some variety. The pool and hot tub were great but I found the floor quite slippery and it could be dangerous. The rooms were typical hotel rooms but the beds were comfortable. I don't understand why most hotels have bath towels that do not wrap around a regular sized person. Some of the front desk staff were really friendly and others no so much.
Very nice Hotel, clean rooms good location, breakfast leaves a little to be desired, not very good at all, Hotel staff were very good, helpful, nice pool and fitness room, good stay overall. We would use this property again,
Very clean and quiet hotel. Slept great, didn't hear a sound. Hot free breakfast was fabulous. Really like the fact that they are ahead of the times and have plug ins for electric cars. That is the way of the future!!!
Looking for a great stay with your dog, look no further than Best Western Kamloops. Great support staff, food, pool and restful sleep. Stayed here many times and your dog gets treats and roll of doo doo bags in a holder. Get a Best Western rewards card like I did.
The best western plus in Kamloops never dissapoints!....You can always expect a clean, friendly place to call home while you stay there...Their breakfast is the best of anywhere I've been, lots of selection and a great helpfull staff....Highly recomended!
From observation this hotel was the best available Rooms spacious close to park & walks & within distance of city Only stayed as a stop off for train return Reasonably happy with accommodation, staff & facilities
It is located in good distance from restaurants and entertainment. Rooms are comfy and have fibe TV.Weight room and swimming pool as well. Parking is scattered at best get there early for good location.
We spent a night recently and found the staff friendly and room clean. The breakfast offered lots of choices and there were a number of parking spots available. The hotel is in an area with many restaurants and shops but also not far from the highway. The only downsides were the rooms didn't seem to be very soundproof and the beds/pillows weren't super comfortable.
Apart from a comfortable, clean room and friendly, efficient staff, Best Western is noted for breakfasts and this one did not disappoint. Different egg and meat options both days (scrambled and sausage one day, western omelette and bacon the other). Another interesting touch was a pancake maker instead of a waffle maker. TIP: even numbered rooms face the road and there can be quite a bit of traffic noise.
O have absolutely NO complaints about this hotel. If anything the mattresses and the breakfasts are less than stellar but overall I liked everything about it. It must be new construction because the layout was definitely different but the shower was the best water pressure, the breakfast was decent, sleep was good. Although come to think of it the heater was a little noisy of you are a light sleeper? And it uses the "old knob style" thermostat so it takes a while to get the temp correct. Which sucks if you have to adjust it in the middle of the night. Other than that... it's the best place I've stayed in Kamloops so far!! Cheers!
Positive experience, great hotel for a quick business trip. Centrally located in Kamloops, close to all necessary amenities. Hotel was clean and tidy, room was as well. Staff was very courteous to me at all times.
The counter staff made a real difference in our stay. Whether we were coming or going, the staff always greeted us with a warm smile and a good morning r afternoon. My sister was suffering with laryngitis and one of the front desk staff brought up a kettle and some teabags, so she could soothe her throat with a hot cup of tea. The room was comfortable and the beds above average, with plenty of pillows.
After 9 hours driving from Calgary this was a rest stop for us. Nice town, nice hotel, nice views, nice room, hot bath, nearby restaurants, good breakfast. Relax a bit. Then on our way again. We are retirees so speed of getting to the destination is not all that important. We have lots of time. We don't want to get to the destination exhausted.
From the moment I arrived I felt staff treated me with care and concern. Offering directions when needed, made me aware of gluten free options, and gave treats for my dogs. It's the little things that count. Room was clean, refreshment station in lobby, pool and hot tub open till 10:00 p.m. I can count on Best Western for a great stay, no matter what city or country I'm in. Always high standards.
This was my second time at this location. I will make this my regular. Close, but not too close, to the freeway and restaurants and other amenities. Rooms are top notch and the free breakfast is reasonably good. Make it a go to place in Kamloops BC.
We had a very enjoyable stay for one night. the check in was smooth and friendly. Our room was quiet and very clean. Really appreciate having a microwave and refrigerator. The bed was a little soft for our preference, but the pillows came in a selection of fullness and we found them to be to our liking. The breakfast was hot and ample with scrambled eggs, bacon, fruit salad and a selection of danish. there was also cereal and a pancake maker etc. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
Great place to stay, staff very nice, friendly and helpful, room was large and clean, great location. They had laundry available to use which was great for us. The hotel offered a free breakfast which has a great selection to choose from. The indoor pool was nice for the kids to burn off some energy.
Staff went above and beyond to accommodate us after a mistake by me and Travelocity. The place was spotless. Nice pool, hot tub and gym. Comfy beds, good breakfast. Pet friendly, rooms are quiet and thermostat works. Really good sleep.
I picked this hotel because of the reviews, and I was not disappointed. We had our two dogs with us, which normally I hate staying in hotels when I have my dogs because the pet friendly rooms are usually disgusting. This was not the case at this best western. The room was very big with lots of space for my 4 year old to play. The pool was nice but too cold for me. My son was happy tho! The free breakfast was very good and had more selection than most other hotels I've been to. All and all it was very clean and the staff were very friendly.
Arrived after 8. Young lady at the desk was a trainee. Put us on the 3rd floor rather than the 4th as requested. Did not explain that it was an upgraded room until questioned. The “trainer” sat on his butt playing on a computer, offering no assistance. When we came down later to go out to eat, asked him the closest place. He grunted Brown's Social Club, two blocks away. We walked the two blocks and discovered a multitude of eating establishments, some much closer than Brown's. Next morning at check out, staff did not say good morning, how was your stay, nothing! They need to be trained that they are in the hospitality business!
Had a little trouble finding tis hotel, It was worth the trouble this hotel was clean, breakfast was good and staff very helpful. Kamloops is a beautiful city to visit. 200 characters is way to many for a review
I always stay here when I'm on business for the simple reason it's a great hotel also it's great services it offers and close to a number of nice restaurants all within a short drive or walk. The staff is always friendly and pleasant just an overall good experience.
I left forgot some non perishable items in the fridge when I checked out. It was 5 X 710 ml of pop plus an Energy drink. I called the next day to pick them up and was told that they were not found. Apart from this I found the property and the staff pleasant enough.
Stayed with a total of 6 people. All of us enjoyed the stay. Very comfortable beds, spacious rooms, large bathrooms, friendly staff, lovely continental breakfast, hot tub was the perfect temp. tho the pool was a tad chilly, good location. Highly recommended.
Great, beautiful hotel close to downtown and major highways. Nice breakfast with several hot items. Super friendly staff and very clean nice rooms. Very close to TRU, walking distance. Large parking lot.
This hotel is great place to bring your travelling sports team. The pool was a hit and the hotel is centrally located so you have a wide variety of restaurants to take your players for a team meal. We have stayed here on multiple occasions with success.
have stayed at this property many times over the past 10/15 years and have always been pleased wit the staff, the room, breakfast and general presentation of the property, I will stay again, I like it..
We booked this hotel for our trip to Vancouver. We like Best Western as it always delivers on the promise. This is not the first time we stopped at this hotel. The check-in was very quick and smooth, the room was great (spacious and quiet). We like the fact that the hotel is easy to access from the highway and has nice shopping area and restaurants near by. We recommend this hotel for the quality of service that they always deliver.
I think this is a very good, convenient and clean hotel near to the Inland Hospital, which is just at the bottom of the hill where the hospital is located. Of the options this appeared to be the best and most convenient for our purposes. The breakfast is a great benefit, as is the poop and hot tub.
The staff was very professional in all ways. Room was clean, roomy, and comfortable. The parking lot is very spacious and easy to park. You do have to leave to find a good restaurant, about a 10 minute walk.
This is our go to hotel when traveling through Kamloops. It is always our first call. However quite often there is equally as good hotels for allot less cost. If you get a good rate then you cant beat this hotel.
Perfectly situated; all the amenities that you need; tastefully appointed; professional staffed; great breakfast. I would gladly stay here antmytime I am in town. The pool and hot tub are a nice feature too.
Staff were friendly and welcoming, but the hotel is dark and depressing. Brown and green that are both muddy and, well, look like they are just meant to hide dirt and wear and tear. Carpet is also dark brown and not very clean. Gives the feel of an old roadside motel - not what I was expecting from BW, especially a Plus hotel. Breakfast was ok, but packaged and reheated food - I have had better. Bed was good, water pressure good, wifi ok. I wouldn't go back.
good location, close to downtown and by highway. friendly and helpful staff especially patient when we asked about room options checked in. clean room and comfortable beds. definately would recommend.
Every staff member we encountered made us feel like we are valued clients. The breakfast selection surpasses any other included breakfast buffet we have encountered elsewhere. The hotel is very modern, exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated.
I stay quite frequently at the Best Western Plus in Kamloops, B.C. It is my go to place to relax and stay while doing other things in the city. I have never been dissapointed with their service, breakfast, rooms and pool. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone from anywhere!! Moraine
A last minute trip for work. The hotel was beautiful and clean. Breakfast was wonderful, eggs, bacon, sausages, waffles... you name it! There are tons or restaurants and stores in the area, easy to get to. Wifi was super fast! Highly recommend!
Staff are great. Clean and comfortable place too stay. Always a pleasant stay. Good included breakfast to get you going. Easy access off of Columbia. Lots of close by restaurants within an easy walk. Ask for a room facing the back to avoid any traffic noise.
Very happy with our night at the Best Western KAMLOOPS Hotel. The location was extremely practical and our room very nicely appointed. The adjoining restaurant to the hotel was excellent which was a bonus.
First time at a Best Western as was close to meetings. The room was clean and comfortable, the WiFi was fast and the breakfast was the best part; lots of selection and buffet selections were exceptional.
Very nice room featuring king size bed, comfortable couch for relaxing, viewing television.Good work station with wi fi. Room and bathroom were very clean. Best Western services include breakfast which has excellent choices of hot and cold cereals, pancakes, waffles, bacon, sausage and eggs. I recommend Best Western Kamloops. Price including fee for dog and taxes $187.00
We were very happy with our stay at Kamloops Hotel. The location was central. Our room was clean and very nicely appointed. Staff at breakfast were particularly helpful in finding gluten free items for me.
Great, clean, convenient location. Great breakfast. Clean room. Loved the pool ( could have been a little warmer). Was there for two nights for business with two colleagues. Very close to shopping and restaurants. Can't wait to stay there again soon :)
We travelled to Kamloops to visit family at the end of September, and stayed at the Best Western Plus for two nights. I chose this hotel as my mother had stayed there four years ago and it was quite nice then. We arrived very late the Friday night. Check-in was ok, but we were disappointed in our room. It was stark and cheap-feeling. The next morning when I went to shower I noticed that behind the door in the bathroom was absolutely filthy. This is beside the bathtub directly opposite the toilet. It looked as if it had never been cleaned. Upon putting down the bath mat I noticed that there were toenails in dirt and hair. Obviously not ours, since we had just arrived. I was not happy about this, and brought it up to the front desk staff, along with the fact that we had only 2 towels even though we were in a multiple bed room (presumably used mostly for families). Although the front desk staff looked disgusted, they only made a note to "service the room". Upon returning at the end of the day, the mess was still there even though the room had been cleaned, and once again there were only 2 towels. Upon complaining once again to the front desk, I was told they would check the room again while we were at dinner. When we returned, we did have extra towels, however the toenail was still there. This did not surprise me as the front desk had told me when we entered the hotel that he had checked the room and it looked fine. At that point I gave up. The breakfast was quite good, beds were ok, pool was nice, and internet was good. I am a diamond member and travel often for work and for leisure. I am not returning to this hotel ever, and will actively warn people away from the hotel. My interactions with the staff showed their lack of concern, and if something so obvious and disgusting does not phase them, then it begs the question of what else is being overlooked.
We stayed here in September 2018 for three nights. Overall the stay at this BW was great. Clean rooms. Central location. Nice hot breakfast. Large pool and hot tub. My only criticism would be that the pool temperature was too cool for autumn. We will be back!
This Best Western Plus facility was very clean and well maintained. The staff were very pleasant to deal with. I received my rewards status room upgrade without asking for it. Great place to stay for business and pleasure. I will for sure stay there again.
Staff were very helpful, fast check in and check out. Only issue was hallways were at bit noisy with guests talking and doors closing . Room was clean and well set up . Breakfast was a goood selection. Back parking lot was dark, and only access was on end of building for the back parking lot
I'm getting quite used to the comfort and quality of the Best Western Plus. It's become our hotel of choice for overnight stopovers between Calgary and Vancouver. Taking a break, reset, and enjoy the next leg of the journey.
Check in was painfully slow and disappointing. No apparent reason for the delay. I was the only one there and there were two clerks. Room was efficient but the bathroom had this weird low sink that one has to stoop over. Lots of restaurants in the area and breakfast is provided in the morning.
We have stayed at this property numerous times over the years and it is always a great stay. Nice rooms and pleasant staff. It is within walking distance to stores and good restraints. A great location with views over the city.
The staff were extremely helpful and always genuinely welcoming. The room was quite large with lots of space to arrange luggage and still have seating. Close to a number of dinner options and served a lovely breakfast. Guest laundry was also a bonus.
Great spot, excellent value, decent breakfast and parking for a five ton truck. Can't really ask for more. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Starbucks is just across the street for the morning coffee before you hit the road.
Good location/Great staff/ Awesome beds/ Close to malls/ Breakfast was good /everything was very clean/ Easy on and off highway/Great value for the price. Rooms are of a good size / close to some very good restaurants
Clean room, good friendly and efficient staff, quiet fo being on a Main Street, and comfortable. Good view from room. Breakfast room was neat and clean and a good variety of items to choose from. Very clean throughout hotel.
Stayed at this hotel on my way between Vancouver and Jasper. Plenty of parking outside, and the girls in the reception were welcoming and funny. Room was big, and beds were really comfortable. Also a plus that you have a pool and a gym, as a gym is sometimes hard to come by when you're travelling around. I would appreciate some free weights though! Maybe a kettlebell or two. Plenty of restaurants around the area, and the reception had some good tips. Breakfast was decent and simple, with several types of coffee. I didn't like the use of single-use plastics though, although I understand that it's alot easier than doing dishes.
The appearance and hotel staff are great. Even the pool and breakfast are great. The hotel does need a upgrade. the beds are old and the carpets are wore out. The staff do a great job keeping it cleanand are very pleasant.
Hotel was fine. Room smelt stale and alittle like dog when we entered. Front desk agent was great and offered another room. It too smelt musty and far from fresh but we didn't want to complain again. Air conditioning was off and window closed. Cleanliness was pretty good but something had obviously been spilled down the wall and missed. Breakfast room was nice. No potatoes or hashbrowns offered unlike many other hotels. Nice pool. A tad chilly for young kids but that is a preference. Overall a fine stay. I found the price high for the quality compared to other Best Westerns.
We always stay at this hotel when we are in Kamloops. If I could I would sleep the entire time because I love the bed and bedding . The food in the breakfast buffet is always awesome. The pool and hot tub are only second to the bed. Always hate having to leave, I would live there if I could.
On our way to the very West, we spend the night here. Huge rooms, super friendly staff with good tips. Very far from the city centre, only shopping malls around. Nice swimming pool and jacuzzi. Breakfast not fantastic but fine.
We arrived in Kamloops after a fun day stopping at some local sites. Our hotel the night before had been a bit of a disappointment so we were looking forward to getting back to the quality we enjoy at BW. Check in was smooth and easy with a very friendly woman at the front desk. Our first room, unfortunately, had a unpleasant smell (to us) and the front desk readily accommodated our request to switch rooms. We ended up in a pet friendly room on the first floor which we very much enjoyed! I liked the fact the pet friendly rooms do not have carpeting. The room was very spacious and clean with a nice sized bathroom and a fridge. The beds were ultra comfortable and everyone enjoyed a great sleep. We enjoyed the pool. It was a great size and had lots of varying depths for all kinds of swimmers. Hot tub was very relaxing. We also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast the next morning, one of the best we've had at BW! The room was very large with lots of seating and we had amazing food options! The breakfast staff were very attentive to the food and beverage and went above and beyond to keep the area clean and well stocked. The location is so conveniently located to many great restaurants and shopping options. We were overall very impressed with our stay here and look forward to returning one day!
Nice place and friendly staff. We were traveling in a group on motorcycles. The room was very comfortable. The checkin was quick and easy. The staff recommended places to eat. The breakfast that came with the stay was good.
The staff was friendly, knowledgable and caring. The room was clean and nicely appointed. The hotel is located close to banks and restaurants and has easy access for travelers. We will definiely return on our trip next year.
The hotel is easy to find and offers well-appointed rooms. The full breakfast is a welcome start to the day. As always, the pet-friendly and welcoming attitude of all staff makes for a wonderful night's rest!
Here for a one night stay Very nice customer service We were made welcome at check in We stayed in Room 410 that was a large room and very well equipped The deal included breakfast The hotel had a large free car park The hotel is located close by different types eateries, that can be easily reached by foot or by car Overall a very nice friendly hotel that I would recommend
Nice accomadations, house keeping where really helpful. We didn't get checking when we where suppose to and the front desk didn't care. They where the only draw back to our stay. You get a full breakfast, could have been laid out better and didn't go with the high price of the room. t
We stayed one night after we attended the Eric Church concert in Merritt and absolutely loved this hotel. It exceeded my expectations!!! Check in was easy. The room was clean and large with a great bed. The air conditioning worked well, as did the black out blinds. The complimentary breakfast was incredible - the usual cold food but also hot eggs and meat. Even a fancy latte maker. We were impressed with everything, especially given the reasonable price that we paid. We will be back next year for sure!!!
Comfortable clean and quiet hotel for a one night stop on a road trip. kids enjoyed the swimming pool. Breakfast was good with a number of choices. We booked the rooms on a good rate. Better to book early in Kamloops to get good rates. Best Western is one of the best hotels in the area.
Very nice large room. The bathroom is located at the far end of the room. It was a nice sized bathroom. The beds were really comfortable and lots of pillows. The breakfast was great the next morning. Lots to choose from. I was mainly impressed with the size of our room. Great view of the mountains from our room. Would definitely stay at this hotel when back in Kamloops. It is such a pretty area. Lots to do around the hotel as well. It is a little expensive but we joined Best Western rewards for future travels.
My wife and I stayed overnight on a Sunday night when we were travelling from Edmonton to Vancouver. Our pet-friendly room was on the main floor and near the front entrance, making it handy to take our dog in and out of the hotel. The room had laminate floors, so there were no unusual smells or stains, etc. from animals. The room was in excellent condition overall with an updated washroom and other amenities. The air-conditioning worked very well (thank goodness - it was 39C outside!). The beds were firm and comfortable. Front desk staff were very helpful. There is no restaurant at the hotel, so we had food delivered for supper and this worked out well. The complimentary breakfast is self-serve, but bacon and omelettes were available in the morning. There were numerous breads, pastries and juices available, as well as fruit salad. You could make your own pancakes in a one-minute pancake machine. Overall, the breakfast far exceeded our expectations. I believe the breakfast is available at 6:30 a.m. on weekdays and 7:00 a.m. on weekends. The hotel was conveniently located near the highway to Vancouver. I would definitely stay here again.
We have stayed here before, the last time we drove to Vancouver. Nothing has changed, from the friendly greeting at the check in to the size and cleanliness of the room to the ample filling breakfast. We had a ferry to catch in Twassen so we needed an early departure. Breakfast starts at 0630 and the lady working the morning shift let us in at 0620. Now that is customer service. It is refreshing to see a business maintain its quality. Would I stay here again? Yes Would I recommend it to others? Yes
Lots of parking. Easy access off of columbia. Great staff and comfortable rooms. Large pool area and good fitness area. The included breakfast is very good. Nice large space. Always a comfortable stay.
Very good hotel. Very clean. Comfort beds. Friendly staff. Good location for getting around in Kamloops. Very good breakfast included. Breakfast has many choices. Good restaurants nearby. Reasonable rates.
Fantastic breakfast, lots of parking, quiet location. I'd definitely recommended this hotel and would stay here again when I'm in Kamloops. Fantastic view of the mountains and sunrise from our room on the front of the building.
Large, modern rooms. Very nice and plenty of space! Very clean; loved the layout of the room! Nice to not have the bathroom right when you walked in. I would definitely recommend this hotel! Kids loved the pool.
From the moment I booked 15 rooms for our soccer team and their families things went smoothly. The staff are amazing. They looked after our every need and were always friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and beds were super. The hotel also accommodated our team bbq. The breakfasts were good too. I would highly recommend this hotel for teams and families. I especially loved that many large restaurants and grocery stores are within walking distance. No need for reservations for our crew.
This is one of the families from the soccer tournament that stayed with you guys from July 4 to the eighth 2018. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to any other sport teams that will be doing tournaments in Kamloops. The staff, especially the front desk area went above and beyond to make our stay a very relaxing one. They were all courteous, polite and went above and beyond to accommodate any and all of our needs. The hotel itself is very well-kept with clean rooms and hallways, and had everything that we needed in the room. The breakfast was very good and we appreciated it every morning. We, as a family will definitely use this hotel again and we will definitely recommend it to anyone travelling through Kamloops. Thank you so much for your hospitality.
Spent a night here enroute from Vancouver to Jasper. Very comfortable, quiet property. Lots of free parking, convenient location - Great free breakfast with lots of options. Nice pool with a little lazy river that the kids loved with a comfortable hot tub that the parents loved. WiFi was fast.
We just spent 4 nights here with 14 other families for a soccer tournament. The hotel is in a great location, the rooms are very clean, the indoor pool is nice and the breakfast that is included is very good. What impressed us the most is the service! All the staff went above and beyond in making the stay of our very large group the very best it could be. They even facilitated us watching the World Cup as a group in the mornings! We saw that Kamloops is the tournament capital of Canada...if your team is looking for a great hotel I think you'd be happy here. Thank you Best Western Plus - we'll come back!
Very friendly front staff, in person and on the phone. Immaculately clean hotel - halls, rooms and breakfast room. Room was spotless, bed was comfy. The included breakfast - omlettes and bacon that were fresh and delicious, lots of fresh fruit, baked goods ect..
Nice clean rooms, welcoming reception, great location. We got in late and asked where to go and get something to eat and she told us the Casino across the street had to good restaurants. We also had a great free breakfast in the morning. Unlike a lot of hotels, they kept the food coming so everyone had plenty of everything.
From the first moment we were greeted by Remi & his Manager, we were made to feel very comfortable. Excellent room with very comfy king size bed. Large room with lovely bathroom. Rain shower head in bath, very gentle ideal for older folks or children. Breathtaking views both night & day of panorama Kamloops. Really good location with gas station next door & many restaurants within easy reach. Excellent breakfast room with superb choices. Food stations are well laid out to avoid conjestion. Gluten free choices available. Staff are helpful with directions around tow. Strongly recommend this hotel.
The front desk staff were friendly and helpful so check-in and check-out were easy. We had a King suite on the fourth floor and the view was terrific and the location of the hotel is convenient. It's not far from downtown and not too far away you'll find Aberdeen Mall and the smaller Sahali Mall even closer. Any deficiencies were minor (e.g. the floor heat in the bathroom didn't work but floor heat isn't exactly a deal-breaker!). Breakfast was as advertised and we were pleased with our stay. Yes, we would happily stay at the Best Western Plus Kamloops Hotel next time we're in town.
We are in Kamloops reasonably often for swim meets or soccer, and have stayed at this hotel before; I think we reviewed it a couple of years back. My wife was just there again this weekend and was again very happy with it. The hotel is really well situated for going to the aquatic centre, and is clean, quiet and well run, with lots of parking, comfortable beds, a good included breakfast, a nice pool, and good internet. Pretty much, what else could you ask for?
Wonderful convenient hotel. Great staff, room, breakfast and quiet. Very accommodating and helpful front desk staff. Hotel is clean, lots of parking, the pool and hot tub area was great. Can't wait to come back to Kamloops and this hotel.
I have stayed at the Kamloops Best Western Plus a number of times on business and they have never disappointed me with their professionalism or their service. The motel is very clean and well kept. Beds are very comfortable and breakfast is fresh and well presented.
Highly recommend this great Kamloops hotel. Close to everything. Hotel staff is always super friendly. Pool and hottub are well maintained and always enjoyable. We stay here several times a year and haven't been disappointed yet!
$260 for the night, bad smell in the room, lacking anything worth $260 a night. We realize it's wheelchair accessible but that is a ridiculous reason for that kind of rate. 8am a cleaning team thumping and vacuuming on the other side of the wall by our heads. Beetle crawling around in the bathroom. Top bedding did not look washed!
Traveling on business and could hear foot steps pacing upstairs both visits. Not enjoyable, will be looking for another hotel for my next Kamloops trip. Other than that appeared to be a nice hotel but the stomping seems to get louder.
really great place central to everywhere in kamloops great pool & hot tub if in kamloops again i will be staying at best western plus in kamloops great breakfast maids & staff were great room was great
This hotel overall was fine. The room was spacious, offered sufficient parking, and provided hot breakfast. My issue was that both nights I had to call down to the front desk regarding excessive noise, after what I would consider quiet hours (11pm). While the hotel staff did address the noise which I appreciate, and I understand it was not their fault, it did make my stay not enjoyable. I was here for busy days of work and needed sufficient rest. I would not say this hotel is bad, it just happened to not be a great stay. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was a good size, room was clean. I was on my own, however I think as a double occupancy, the beds were on the small size. My coworkers who were on the floor below me had told me they could also hear the noise from my floor.
A big shout out to Michelle and Becky, front desk staff who went out of their way to help us. We were driving through Kamloops with our bicycles on a rack. We called ahead and spoke to Michelle about the safety of leaving our bikes on the car rack overnight in the Hotel parking lot. When we arrived at the BW, Michelle had left a note for the night staff. Becky had us pull our car into a spot near the driveway where the bikes could be viewed from the front desk. Michelle had booked us a room that looked out over the driveway so that we could check the bikes if needed. We are so appreciate of the assistance given, and will definitely be back. Nice job, Michelle and Becky!
great place to stay when travelling through Kamloops BC. Hotel was clean and well maintained. Location was just off the Trans Canada highway. Easy to find. Close to Costco and also conveniently located to other facilities.
Stayed in Kamloops 1 night on business. Easy to locate and close to stores and restaurants. Great breakfast selection. The only thing missing is a bar for that late night drink. However, I highly recommend this Best Western.
This staff was good but this hotel was extremely noisy and there were junkies loitering out front and around the building. the night manager was completely oblivious to this and was not interested in checking this out.
Really nice hotel with hot breakfast. Good view and excellent location. It has all the modern hotel amenities such as wi-fi, swimming pool and gym. Staff are very professional and helpful. For the price it's a steal.
This is the best place I have stayed when travelling to Kamloops for business purposes. Definitely recommended. Beds and pillows are excellent. Nice breakfast area, plenty of space for parking right outside the lobby. Great value for the room compared with other chain hotels.
Friendly check-in staff - very quick efficient but willing to take the time for restaurant recommendations and directions. They told me a bout a great farmers market downtown when I stayed last year and then phoned around to find out if it was on during my stay. Clean and VERY spacious rooms. Nice hot breakfast in the morning. Easily accessible business centre. Good place to stay for business.
Older rooms, pool and health club retro. Would not stay here again. Staff not very engaged. Breakfast offering very poor. The BWP in Revelstoke was excellent, you would think all BWP would have same standards. Rooms very noisy.
Excellent hotel. We had two small dogs with us and were given a nice size room which fit our large kennel and had plenty of space for us to move around. The internet worked great. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. We ended us with a golf rate so if you're thinking about golfing phone and ask for the golf rate, you won't find it on the internet.
I've stayed here numerous times. Very good place. Easy access and lots of parking. Lots of stores and restaurants within walking distance. Great staff. Rebecca is very helpful. Good fitness centre and indoor pool area. Great WiFi and TELUS TV with lots of channels. Comfortable rooms. Good included breakfast. Great place too stay.
Two single night separate stays in the last three weeks on our way to and from the west coast. Very comfortable beds, speedy check in/out, good temperature control in the room, very clean, and a good self serve free breakfast. It's all we needed. Will stay again for sure.
This hotel resides on the hill in Kamloops that is located in the middle of some good restraunts near by. Stayed here quite a bit and have never had a problem. I recommend the spacious suite rooms....
The standard 2 queen room was beautiful. 10 foot ceilings, granite countertops and laminate floors. Very clean and spacious. Breakfast was hot with a lot of selection and the staff was friendly and helpful. One of the best hotels I have stayed at for such a reasonable price.
Always see a friendly staff when i come stay here. they are helpful and i get a nice clean room and a comfortable bed. it is really nice to get a continental breakfast with a good variety of selection of things to eat.
kamloops best western plus, was one of my most comfortable stay in a long time. Very clean, quiet, great continental breakfast, nice hot tub and pool. the staff were most helpful and the beds and temperature were very comfortable.
I use the Best Western chain often as I usually receive consistent customer service and satisfaction. My 1 night stay at this BW was okay but did not quite meet my expectations. The check-in took some time as the person was on the phone and failed to make eye contact with me or acknowledge my presence while they dealt with a phone reservation. I waited patiently. No acknowledgement of my BW status upon check in. I thought the room set up was odd as was a 1 bedroom suite but the living room area was between the bedroom and the bathroom. The floor was carpeted but felt as if you were walking on cement - very hard. One of the pleasures of staying in a hotel for me is to enjoy a coffee in bed watching the news before I start my day. The single cup coffee maker in the room was horrible to figure out and made a total mess with leaking water all over the place. I mentioned it to the front desk as I was checking out and they acknowledged that yes, they are difficult to operate. My stay was in November (winter) and there was only a thin blanket with the sheet on the bed. For a BW Plus I expected at least a duvet especially in the winter time. The breakfast was fine. The room was very clean. Everything else functioned in the room except for the coffee maker.
Great experience overall. We booked our stay through points during a promotional offer, which allowed us to stay for free. Hotel met all our expectations, and was very clean and appealling. The breakfast was filling, and there were many options.
our stay was great. We had a larger room that slept 4. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. we really enjoyed the breakfast and 3 of us used the fitness room. It was a busy time for the staff as it snowed 6 inches outside and there were a lot of travellers with confused schedules
1. noisy neighbors - just families ignorant of hotel etiquette (i.e. default to being quiet; people often stay to rest from a long journey, right?) 2. dead TV remote - replaced twice and still not fully functional 3. water soaked carpet outside bathroom; not easy to miss if you walk around in socks I guess. However, not caught by cleaning staff.
The hotel is well situated in a commercial district just up the hill from downtown kamloops. It is spacious with ample free parking, wifi, and breakfast included which makes for an excellent deal. The property isn't that remarkable from the outside but the rooms are surprisingly well appointed. The thing that jumped out to me was the impeccable placement of everything in the room to the point that looked like a movie set. It wasn't that the room as lavishly furnished but every pillow, towel, and glass was precisely positioned with care. Kudos to the housekeeping staff. The maintenance staff should also be commended as I didn't notice a single thing that needed fixing or replacement. I ended up coming back for a second night.
Decided to overnight for a staycation after shovelling snow all day at home. Rebecca at the front desk was very friendly and full of information. Even gave some helpful hints about hot tub use. Our room was spacious, extremely clean and fairly quiet even though our room faced a very busy street. Had to unplug the fridge because of the noise (that all refrigerators make). Surprised to see the towels had frayed edges in a hotel of this rating. The continental breakfast was actually a hot one, complete with REAL sausages that were very tasty (not like the patties that are served elsewhere). There was a choice of egg platties (sunny side up) and hard boiled ones. And a great selection of carbohydrates! Good value; will recommend this hotel. Way to go, Tim Rodgers!
Had a great stay here...Check in was fast and friendly. The room was nice, clean and safe. The property was well located for my business needs and also to local amenities. I will stay here again when on business in Kamloops.
Like the location of the Best Western in Kamloops. It was close to shopping and good restaurants. Breakfast buffet was always hot and they changed the items every morning so it was not the same for 6 mornings in a row. The breakfast staff kept the area clear and clean. I would stay again
Nice facilities, decent breakfast, comfortable bed, quiet room. Very helpful staff. Very easy access from the road which is important for me as I usually have a trailer with me. One irritant is that there is no GOOD restaurant in close walking distance, there are a couple (average at best) that you can walk to.
Great location/Rooms a very clean/ Good Gym and indoor pool/ Staff are very professional in all ways . /Best Western Kamloops has become my home away from home. The value you receive is as good as it gets.
Thanks Best Western Plus Kamloops for having Electric Vehicle charging stations. It's very important for the hospitality industry to realize the as electric vehicle range gets better, more and more EVers are traveling farther and farther away from home. We're from Gibsons and travelled 1100 klms in our EV
Great location and staff. Easy access and lots of parking. Clean comfortable rooms. Included breakfast is basic but gets you started for the day. Staff always very good both at reception and in the breakfast area. Very good place to stay.
Really good service..pet room so clean and with laminate Really comforatable beds, quiet, excellent decor;staff top notch;good location ; breakfast ..good seclection; front lobby..lovely Xmas decor;welcoming
We've stated in many hotels / motels in BC and Washington. It is my opinion that this hotel sets the standard for best value for services offered. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the rooms clean and comfortable and the location allows easy access to both North and South Kamloops.
Superb rooms, great breakfast room and breakfast, wonderful staff and centrally located near to shopping and restaurants. Easy to get downtown from this location. Always get upgraded room - suite, as a platinum member.
Good location and great staff. Caring and wanting to make your stay comfortable and safe. They took are of wifes requirements ensuring she was comfortable and even upgraded her room. Hot breakfast was excellent, very nice to have it included with your stay when traveling a long distance.
This looks to be a new hotel that is very clean, nice bright lobby, friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds, nice size breakfast room with lots of options including some hot items. Great value for the price and convenient location to downtown and trans canada hwy. Best Western rewards are the best points system. This would be my first choice if staying in Kamloops again.
This was a very pleasant experience. The room was great in all aspects. The staff from front desk, restaurant and including the cleaning staff were very helpful, friendly. Will certainly return. All staff took the time to ensure our stay and any questions we were handled toughly. Every one responded to us in a friendly manor and never made us feel like they were busy and just dealing with us to get us to move along. Great experience.
centrally located, close to all amenities but the walk is uphill. Car would need to be used to reach smaller size malls comfortably and the larger mall on the highway. Clean, quiet, nice sized pool and hot tub. Exercise room suited my needs but I am a beginner so can not say whether a more experienced person would require more sophisticated machines. Lobby was welcoming with coffee machine available for guests. Breakfast was very nice. Complete with hot and cold items. I actually enjoyed the sausage patty. I egg "formation" was interesting. There were hard boiled eggs available if the hot ones didn't appeal to you. I would stay there again.
Great place to spend time while in Kamloops BC. Excellent fitness centre and poop area. Good choice of breakfast items. Room are spacious and comfortable. This is a great location to experience Kamloops.
This hotel is conveniently located just off the highway in Kamloops. It's a modern facility with lots to offer. The building is relatively new and it's a beauty. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. The really unexpected pleasure is the free morning breakfast that comes with your room booking. It''s done up right, and as a bit more pizzazz than your typical breakfast fare. So come and enjoy the interior of BC and stay at one of the nicest hotels in the area.
This is the second time staying at this hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and big. Beautiful view of the mountains. The breakfast was very good with a good selection of items. It is five minutes from Thompson Rivers University.
Great hotel better than expected. Never used Best Western before but would definitely use the plus range again. Free cookies and hot drinks. Good breakfast but best of all was washing machine paid £1.20 for washing pod and as they are large I had loads in. Went for dinner came back then put in drier. Ah bliss the simple things a mum wants when you holiday with children. We also used the pool which all enjoyed. Would definitely recommend to all
The hotel is away from the primary hotels and main access but reasonable close to restaurants and shopping. The rooms are spacious, clean quiet and modern. Internet is quick and easy to login, and set based on your room. The breakfast area was clean well stocked, with a very good variety of hot and other food items. Juice machine was out of order. Check in and out was fast and efficient, Would stay again if in the area. Was a bit pricey but in an acceptable range,
Pet friendly rooms have tile and laminate floors throughout and are close to exits. Those highlights eased the stress and concern of traveling with a pet. Our room was quiet and clean. This is our place to stay in Kamloops.
Easy to find and close to lots of shops and restaurants, a great hotel! Quiet, clean and with gorgeous views of the mountains. The desk clerk was gracious enough to search out some hot chocolate for the Keurug machine when we returned from dinner with a craving for some hot mocha drinks. I would definitely recommend this hotel !
Very prompt..perfectly clean..rewards staus recognized and upgrades offered immediately.. just an all around seamless affordable experience... lots a freah food at breakfast... Keep up the great work.. thanks to the staff.
It's been a few years since we've stayed at this hotel and in the meantime they've done some nice renovations. Off the main highway and very reasonable in price, this BW Plus has done a great job of adding the little extras that make you feel special. Whether it's the way they've folded the towels or the little extras on the breakfast menu, we will return! A great stop if you are doing the Calgary to Vancouver trip.
Between my job and traveling for holidays I spend more time in motel rooms than the average person and during my twenty some years of short and long term stays Best Western always seems to be the right choice. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean with all services advertised are in working order. Best Western is a class hotel no matter what sized town it might be in whether your in Canada or USA.
This was the third time we have stayed here and we have always been treated well by the staff, the rooms are clean, and the value is good. We will definitely be back again. Thanks again for a great stay.
Want to have a view without the $50.00 Surcharge? Ask for top floor room 421. You will look South west up to the hilly setting of Thompson River University. Even the Long highway curve upwards is pleasant. Thanks to front desk clerk DAVID for his suggestion. Pleasant stay in a large quiet room. The free breakfast is substantial and seating is varied. You could seat a group of 10 without being too disruptive to others. Loved my visit with the proud grandmother of 12 from Williams Lake.
Front rooms are facing Columbia Street which is the main road from hill shopping to downtown so some traffic noise. Back rooms have a view of the valley. Safeway and Superstore within walking distance.
Super friendly and helpful staff at check-in. The room was very clean and nicely furnished. Super comfy bed! The pool and hot tub are also a nice way to finish off the days travel. Really good breakfast included in room cost.
After a day of very very bad rain and weather we were greeted with a smile and quick check in. The room met all of our expectations and was a nice reprieve from the nasty rainy weather. This room provided a good place to rest and a good night's rest. The breakfast the next morning gave us a quick start on the day and was well presented, good quality and left us satisfied.
The Best Western is my favourite Hotel! We always enjoy the great treatment but was kind of annoying with the heater noise in the rooms, the grandkids all were not happy with how it kept waking them up, and it really is...... but as I said we love the Best Western!
We only stayed one night as we were in town for a soccer tournament. When we come back to Kamloops we will be staying here again. They allow pets which is how we book our stays. The bed was pretty comfy so we can get a good sleep (I am picky about bed comfort) and we like to be able to go for a swim. The inside pool was nice.
The staff was very helpful, the rooms were great and the breakfast was super. Location was simple just off the highway. The parking was plentiful I would recommend to the Best Western to friends and family.
My GPS led me to the Best Western in Kamloops. It was a pleasant surprise to find a nicely appointed room , and peacefully quiet, even though it is located on a busy street, and that busy street led me back to the TransCanada Hwy, and the continuance of the journey.
Great night sleep and good coffee always available in the lobby. Very nice staff and a really comfy bed. Looking forward to many more stays with Best Western Plus. Easy in and out, good breakfast. My hubby is the spa man, he thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and even used the exercise room.
This hotel was a perfect choice for our stay in Kamloops for our family Thanksgiving dinner! The service was great and the employees professional and friendly. Highly recommend it anyone staying in Kamloops.
Still on a main street going into downtown with walking to groceries, restaurants, liquor store. We were there in October hiking. Enjoyed the pool and hottub. Breakfast exceeded our expectations. We're happy to have found this hotel will definately stay at it when in Kamloops.
An excellent hotel well located. All amenities are first class. The breakfast was well set out and good. Will defintely stay there next time we are in Kamloops. The location, just off the freeway and still close to the city is excellent.
This is a great hotel, with large, very clean rooms that are nicely decorated. The beds are comfortable and the tile floor in the bathroom was heated. Breakfast was better than most hotels in its class, and the service was wonderful. And as a bonus for us, it is pet-friendly. Would definitely stay there again.
Everyone was very pleasant. Breakfast was yummy. Rooms were clean. Internet was fast. We were upgraded to a suite which was really nice. Very central location. I would recommend this hotel to anyone heading to Kamloops.
Our stay was quite good, clean, large dinning area. There was a bus tour there at the same time and it didn't cause a problem with services. Breakfast was better than most and staff was very helpful.I would stay there again , if I was in the area.
This is a great hotel. I stay here every time I come to Kamloops for business. Convenient location - walking distance to stores and restaurants. Lots of parking. Very nice clean and updated rooms. Decent breakfast choices and lots of seating. Friendly and helpful staff.
I always have my layover for work in Kamloops and have been staying at the BW, your always guaranteed a smile when greeted and a very clean room, breakfast is always good and the room is kept clean and full of food.
Very good the room, clean and comfortable, Breakfast it's good but can be improve, more fruits, yogurt without salt, location is not easy to found, not enough green space, nevertheless I can recommend this hotels to my friends
friendly staff, great location, awesome breakfast, very quiet and bed was superb. Best Western is our hotel of choice. We always try to find this chain so we have no unpleasant surprises. Best Western have always met or exceeded our expectations
We were quite fortunate to get a room here, late in the afternoon, as this Hotel seems to be very busy, also, the location for us was good, not to far from TRU. Our room was spacious, very clean, and quiet, the service was excellent. The breakfast time is from around seven to ten AM, with a good variety of food, on paper plates. They do serve a tasty good cup of coffee (which we appreciate) The overall quality of our stay, was very good, although, it was a bit pricy, but I guess that's to be expected these days.
Stopped in for the night on a long road trip. Staff were very friendly, room was comfortable and spacious. Price was great and the added complimentary breakfast was fantastic. Would stay here again for sure.
The exhaust system (ventilation inside the washroom) is not very effective. The upkeep of the room is not consistent. The hot tub had below average jets. Mixed experience with staff. Some are very friendly and helpful while others are not so friendly or helpful.
Clean, comfortable and convenient for touring. Great location to access routes to golfing and other attractions. Walking/running paths close by. There may be better options if you wanted a downtown walkable experience.
Fantastic stay! Will stay again and reccomend for sure! Friendly staff and cleans atmosphere with amazing breakfast! Elevators a little annoying in the morning but no big deal! Can't wait to stay again!
Our 3rd day of a 17 day tour - this hotel was clean and we were happy with the quality of beds. The bathroom and shower were adequate for our needs. Its a little away from external activities, however there is a shopping centre, restaurant and bar nearby. Would have no problem recommending this venue to others.
Loved the location. Our room was so nice; well decorated and very clean. Beds and pillows were so comfortable. Check in was easy and quick. Front desk was very professional and willing to to ensure our stay was en enjoyable experience.
Nice clean hotel, large room with beautiful scenic view. Free parking, breakfast and Wi Fi included in nominal room charge. In room fridge and coffee machine . Very nice pool with hot tub. No in room safe a slight draw back. Only 5 minutes to downtown where you Can find all kinds of good restaurants.
Clean spacious rooms with nice views of the mountains and helpful efficient staff. No room service or mini bar which as a business traveller was a disappointment. Located at the top of the hill with good access to chain restaurants and amenities but a car or a taxi to downtown are a must - not walkable.
We had a 2 Queen room on the top (4th Floor). The rooms were big with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed. The bathroom and toiletries were all fine. Beds comfy with lots of pillows. Saltwater pool was pretty big as was hot tub. Clean and refreshing. Breakfast was ok. Pancakes rubbery. Omelettes good as was bacon. Hard boiled eggs available too. Fruit salad had some underripe fruit that had been soaked in syrup - tasted pretty strange. Fresh fruit was cardboard apples and green bananas. Enough food to eat but just ok quality. Coffee was mediocre at breakfast and the free coffee in the lobby at other times was worth about the same as the price paid. There is a Starbucks across the road if you want coffee with substance. Check in was good and the staff were both professional and efficient. 4th floor not a great view on the even numbered side - Columbia street. No road noise with window closed and only some car noise when open (no trucks allowed on Columbia). Odd numbers are better side as a nicer view (IMHO) and no roads.
I always stay here when in Kamlops. It is easy to find and a consistent stay. Nice rooms and you get breakfast. It's not the best breakfast in the world but will feed you and have you on your way. Never had a bad night here.
Stopped here on our way through. We got their last room on a busy weekend. The front desk woman was very friendly and knowledgeable. The foyer was very nice and the entire hotel was immaculately clean. Our room was just the right size with very comfortable beds. The shower worked very well and we were never short of hot water. The continental breakfast was superb with many offerings. We walked out of a cheaper hotel to go here but realized a net savings with not needing to purchase breakfast somewhere else. We would definitely stay here again.
Great Hotel, very clean, excellent service, Breakfast was great with a number of food choices to choose from, internet worked great no problems. Bed was very comfortable. The hotel was close to a number of amenities such as restaurants, shopping and local parks for walking around in.
Very modern and fresh looking. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Good value for the money. Staff was personable and professional. Good breakfast included in the room charge. This is important in my view.
Huge room, great amenities. The breakfast was everything you would expect. The pool and hot tub were great. The hotel is close to a lot of restaurants that are within walking distance. The only downfall was the bed and pillows.
We only stayed here one night but enjoyed our stay. The staff when we checked in we're very helpful and friendly. I had accidentally booked a pet friendly room and they changed it with no difficulty at all. The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Nice view of the mountains as well. The hotel had a self-serve laundry which was great because we needed some clothes washed. They also had a great indoor pool and hot tub. Parking was plentiful and right in front of the hotel. I don't know much about Kamloops but the hotel was right off a Main Street within a short drive to lots of restaurant choices.
The Best Western plus was a great place to stay with a family. The rooms looked new and were clean. There was a pool, though we did not use it. The room had a hide-a-bed which is great as we have 3 kids. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was great and was kept well stocked by the staff.
Stayed at Best Western Plus in Kamloops for work purposes, brought my family. Hot breakfast was fantastic, quick and included large variety of items. Pool and hot tub were well enjoyed as well by our family.
We have stayed in this hotel a few times. Each time we have not been disappointed, the quality of the hotel is very high and the staff are friendly. We highly recommend this hotel. We will certainly stay there again on our way to Vancouver Island.
very nice and presentable hotel always stay at best western. even with it being in the town once you enter the outside is quieted and you become relaxed. the pool was a little cool which resulted in 2 of my grandchildren from swimming.
Was very professional and treated us very good . The fitness room was very well equipped the pool and hot tub was very clean . If you needed anything staff made sure you got it . Overall we were very happy with our stay.
On arrival we were met by Rebecca and Brad at the Front Desk. THEY KNOW HOSPITALITY! They had all the answers to our questions, either on the spot or did research. There were no newspapers out front but Rebecca magically produced one. Brad recommended a place for dinner which was very good and which we went to both nights that we stayed at this hotel. Incidentally, this survey should cover both of our stays at this hotel: (1) the night of September 17, 2017 and (2) the night of September 24, 2017. In the breakfast area, we were well looked after by Manjot who went out of her way to help. Every hotel should have a Manjot!
Our family of 4 stayed for a night only just to break the long hours of drive from Vancouver to Calgary. We absolutely enjoyed our stay! Kids love the pool - very clean and well maintained. Room assigned to us was very spacious - king suite. Clean & very organized. Esther was kind & very professional. She helped us with some supplies & was very accommodaring. Both room & receiving area had big flat TV screens. Breakfast was good. I just wished they had at least 2 meat selections...we only had bacon that day & my daughter doesn't eat bacon. Outdoor parking is spacious. Love the scenic view of the mountain when at the parking area. Location is also near the Thompson river university & other commercial areas. Overall, we're all happy and this hotel is highly recommended!
Stayed at this hotel for a swim meet. Breakfast was not suppose to be served til 6:30 am but they opened it at 6 am to accommodate the swimming families. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were spacious. Enough space for a family of 4.
Our stay at the Best Western Plus, Kamloops, was pleasant and just what we needed as we progressed on our 3 1/2 week road trip!! The accommodations were pleasant, as was the staff. We arrived tired and left refreshed and ready for our day!
It was a very busy weekend in Kamloops and we were having trouble finding a vacancy. The nice gentlemen at the frontdesk said they had only one room left but it was a pet friendly room. We have no pets but took the room. It had hardwood floors (which I prefer) and it was a large room with two queens. Beds were really comfortable. After swimming in the pool and hot tub which were salt water, I slept like a baby. The breakfast was included and well done. Had hot omelettes and a machine to make fresh pancakes. One of the better breakfasts we have encountered at a hotel. Very clean hotel. Enjoyed our stay very much! This will be our go to hotel from now on when passing thru Kamloops. Just need to reserve ahead.
We just spent a night on our way to the Fraser canyon. It was a relaxing experience, amid a grandiose landscape more akin to New Mexico than BC (ie very dry). The room was comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the river. The staff was super friendly. We took somer free coffee in the lobby to have a quick breakfast on the balcony.
I am never disappointed with Best Western. Nice big room, great mattresses with all the amenities included. Like their franchise vanilla in the lounge. Many options in the breakfast buffet. Will definitely recommend to everyone
We were on a road trip and were looking for a place to stay when we found this place. It was located about four lights off the highway so access was good for us. The front desk personnel were not overly friendly or helpful. They did have face masks for their customers use due to the heavy smoke from the wildfires. I appreciated that. The room was clean and well equipped. There was a continental breakfast included in the room price. There were a number of restaurants within walking distance.
Returning from Vancouver Island on a summer road trip with my family. Our mid-way stop-over was at the Best Western Plus Hotel, Kamloops BC. My kids loved the fitness facilities (especially the swimming pool and hot-tub) that we had to request for an extended stay. The reception staff members went out of their way to ensure we were accommodated for an extra day. We loved the professionalism of all the staff we came in contact with as well as the breakfast facilities. There are also some really nice restaurants in the corner.
We travel with a service animal and were very properly treated with regard to lodging with said animal. Hospitality with regard to local amenities was friendly and freely offered. Unfortunately the forest fires in British Columbia did little to make our travels comfortable with regard to smoke and ash coating everything. Mother Nature not as hospitable as Best Western Plus staff.
Brought the family up for a conference and some time away together. BW provided everything we needed. Breakfast was quite enjoyable, depending on the day: eggs, sausages, bacon, typical carbs and a pancake machine. Facilities were clean and well kept. Kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Location is great as well. Superstore is just a short walk away along with Walmart being a few minutes drive up the hill. TRU is right around the corner and the view of lower Kamloops makes the location picturesque. No complaints just a memorable and comfortable experience.
When we arrived we found that because of our BW Points status they had upgraded us to one of their best rooms. But it only had one king bed and we needed a good night's sleep so we asked for a room with two beds. The desk clerk accommodated us but apologized that this room was not as luxurious and did not have as good a view. All I can say is if the upgrade was better than what we got, it must have been spectacular indeed. Our “regular” room was huge with two queen beds and a sofa. The bathroom was one of the nicest I have ever seen in any hotel anywhere. There was a fridge to cool a bottle of white wine and the coffee they provided was great in the morning. We were totally comfortable and did get a good night's sleep. There were some commercial buildings below our window but if you just looked beyond them the view was fine. The rate included a full hot breakfast which was up to high BW standards. They even had a machine that made pancakes. Just push the button and a couple minutes later out came two pancakes hot of the griddle. All in all, a very enjoyable stay and we would not hesitate to stay here any time we are in Kamloops.
The hotel was a late night stop over on route back to Victoria. We called and they had 4 rooms for us. What a surprise ,the place if Beautiful. The rooms are excellent. In the morning another surprise, a wonderful breakfast buffet.
We stayed here as a family for 1 night before going to check into our condo on the Shuswap. I was able to get a room with 2 queen beds with pullout couch which is a must for my family of 5 and hard to find at most hotels especially with such short notice. We were also pulling a boat and were concerned about being able to have a place easy enough to get in and out of as well as having enough room to park. This was no problem at all. Staff were very friendly, clean rooms and very quiet. We didn't hear people walking in the halls or doors opening and closing. Will definitely stay here again if overnighting in Kamloops.
We were passing through and it was close to the highway. Room was clean and it had a fridge plus lots of room fro our luggage. It is close to restaurants also. Did not have breakfast there so cannot comment.
Stayed over in kamloops on the way to the lower mainland .THE hotel is easy to access very clean rooms were nice and modern great pool and the laundry facilities were great to have as we had to clean our cloths from pet hair from a previous stay with a relative with two cats the hotel is great staff was great and will repeat.
The hotel and rooms at the Best Western Plus Kamloops Hotel appear to be new or recently renovated. The rooms were large, well appointed, clean the wifi and cable service was very good. Overal a go place to stay at a reasonable value.
This hotel is located in a good spot. Close to a lot of good restaurants and stores. I have stayed here many times and have always been treated well. This is an average hotel however good value for your money.
My family and I stayed here during the busy summer. The staff were very friendly and helpful at check in and carefully explained where our dog could go. In formation up front us always the best when it comes to pets. The room itself had great flooring conducive to pets and was easy to keep sanitary. Our room was very clean. The cleaning staff was very friendly with my children and offered more towels if needed.
We had an amazing stay. My whole family loved the salt-water pool with a lazy river built into it, the hot tub was equally amazing, we were impressed with the force of the jets (very nice), and the hot continental breakfast was awesome. We definately will stay at this location again soon :)
Got in at 2AM. Left at 8AM. Clean, quiet (with the exception of mid life crisis, wanna be tough guy, inconsiderate idiots with junkass Harley's parked outside my window. Running these oil leaking crap buckets at 6AM). TV and internet amazing. Good location.
The Best Western Plus brand of hotels is quickly becoming my favorite hotel chain. They are consistently good with nice amenities, good service, comfortable rooms and an excellent breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for some relaxation. The pool was also very nice and unique.
Nice hotel in a good location. Good breakfast. Easy check in and checkout. Good internet. Friendly staff. The rooms are good size and are very clean. I would highly recommend this hotel to any family coming to Kamloops for a stay.
Should probably begin by saying I don't like Kamloops AT ALL, but my boys have baseball tournaments there every year. I've stayed in 4 other hotels in Kamloops and Iconsider the BW to be the best of them.
We drive through Kamloops every summer and always stay at this hotel. The rooms are very spacious and the beds are comfortable. They take pets and they are welcome, not just tolerated. It is a short drive down to the river, and restaurants are all close by. The breakfast is very good. It could have a bit more selection and more variety of fruit, but otherwise it is very tasty and hot - and coffee is very good. If I have one bad thing to say about it, it's the Bates Motel next door.
I stayed here probably 20 years ago for a business meeting. Still the same old reliable Kamloops standby, up the hill from downtown so quieter and safer. Rooms are large, clean, nicely renovated. Ours, on the 4th floor, had a decent sized TV. Bathroom roomy too.
Had another couple of nights at a Best Western property in Kamloops, BC. My stay was fine. The property is neat and tidy. The location is close to restaurants, other shopping opportunities and the Tournament Center that has a great gym and swimming pool for a real good work-out after a long day away from home.
A lovely hotel. Only a couple of years old. Lobby, breakfast area efficient and modern. Front desk was very helpful. Rooms are suites. Couch, king bed. Well equipped washroom, marble and tile. Small appliances. Good internet. I really liked the decorating. Impressive and clean. I will stay here again.
My wife and I stayed for one night at the Best Western Plus Kamloops. It was a very pleasant stay. Lots of parking. Comfortable room with fridge and microwave. Sofa to sit on. And a business desk and chair for work if needed. Quite new property and therefore clean and comfortable. Very good breakfast. Many hot and cold selections. Highly recommended.
I have stayed here a few times when in town for business, so far its been a great little place to stay, good location and cost is what you would expect from most BW's amenities are good and the service is anywhere from avg. to excellant
This hotel is nice and in a good location for views of the area. The check in process could have been better as many people arrived around 6 pm with only 1 front desk person to deal with every one. The room was clean and all amenities were in working order. The fitness centre was adequate but could have used some barbells. The breakfast room was kept clean & tidy though a recycle box for bottles would have been helpful. I would recommend this hotel to stay at.
Stayed one night on the way to Vancouver. The hotel is located conveniently just off the TransCanada Highway. The hotel is quite with comfortable beds clean and well maintained, the staff is friendly and helpfully. The complementary breakfast is adequate with fresh fruit. Would stay again.
Highly recommended, has everything you would want in a hotel at a great price. Breakfast was included, something for everyone. Close proximity to everything. The only suggestion for improvement would be for additional and varied exercise equipment.
We always stay at that hotel because of the great service, the amenities and how very clean it is. the breakfast is the best of any hotel I have stayed at by far and the pool and hot tub offer a great place to unwind from a long car trip.
Our stay was great. It was a pet friendly room and we could not tell. The room was large lots of room for us not to be crowding each other. The beds were very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
The best western in Kamloops, B.C. Is well situated and easy drive to restaurants and city Center. The hotel is fairly new and has most mosdern features. Our room 111 had two twin beds which I find rather small. The bathroom was very clean as was the rest of the room. I found the price of $$179/night rather steep but it was a long weekend. A continental breakfast was included and was quite dood.
Stay was great. Hotel Clean and modern. Room large and comfortable. Breakfast fresh and hot. Free coffee was a nice touch. Lobby area was clean and open. Cleaning staff were friendly and offered help. Pool and hot tub were just the right temperature and fully operational. Fitness are was good.
Good average hotel of the "older" type. Very good breakfasts both hot and cold items. The hotel is situated in a great spot "uptown". Its a bit old and showing it. The bathrooms still have shower curtains.
Lovely rooms, nice décor. Quiet, no noise. Lots of parking, and close to all main routes through the city of Kamloops. The only slight concern I had was the reception staff, although very efficient, had zero personality. No one looks up when you pass through the lobby and say 'hi' or smiles. This needs working on.
The hotel accommodations were excellent and the staff extremely helpful. It's located close to both in town activities and access to surrounding attractions. The helpfulness and knowledge of the staff made this both a very pleasant experience and added value to the overall experience.
Excellent service. Very curtious. Very clean and not loud like some other hotels we've been. Would be happy to come back. Thank you much. I'll definitely return for a relaxing stay again. Gotta try the pool too if is one. lol.
Room was spacious and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Coffee maker in the room failed causing hot water to cascade onto floor. Included continental breakfast was minimal and the room was dark and less than inviting. Suggested Indian food restaurant was just OK but has a great view. Prices about average.
I stayed here for five nights for work in May 2017. My office booked the accommodations so I don't know about pricing and whether or not it was a good value for the dollars spent. It was a clean and newer looking building. My room had a good sized bathroom. The furniture all seemed to be new as well. The staff were pleasant and nice to deal with. I enjoyed the breakfast although some of my colleagues were less than enthusiastic about the quality of the scrambled eggs. They have sausage, bacon, pancakes, muffins, toast and bagels as well. They also have yogurt and some fruit. The downsides was the waste generated by breakfast buffet. They depended heavily on disposable plates, utensils, and cups. That's something they could easily improve their "green key" rating - if they used reusable plates and cups at least. Also, the exercise room had about six machines. These were not as in good condition as the rest of the building and the ventilation system didn't seem to be very effective. Even though I was the only one in there working out the room always felt stuffy and humid. Maybe it's proximity to the pool caused that but I can see why so feel people want to exercise in there. The pool is small, pretty good for young kids I suppose. I didn't try the hot tub or the pool. Some of my colleagues complained about the noise level coming through the walls. I heard a few night owls coming back to the hotel on several nights. But I did not find this level of noise to be uncommonly loud. All in all a good place to sleep and have breakfast. When travelling for work that's all I could ask for.
I'll definitely stay here again. Thank you. Quiet clean rooms, breakfast was very good. Staff friendly and helpful. Great location. Easy in and out. Lots of shopping and restaurants close by. Bed a little hard.
Great bang for the buck. Loved the pool and Hot Tub. Breakfast was fine and varied. Staff were very helpful. Easily accessible to major routes and shopping. Enjoyable location near malls and restaurants, like Montana's.
I really like the luxurious touches that this Best Western Plus provides their guests. Real glass glasses and ceramic mugs, a beautiful pool, extra comfortable bed, make-up mirror, and lovely amenities etc etc. Friendly staff, too. Also, a big plus is their location... not right on the highway but close, not right in downtown, but close. The breakfast area fit in with the entire tone of the hotel. This would now be my go-to hotel in Kamloops!
This Best Western is nicely centered with a good view. Well maintained with friendly staff. The compliant breakfast is nicely presented. Walking distance to the Thompson River University, as well as several fast food type eateries.
Room was very clean and had all the extras that one would need. Staff were helpful and friendly. Full breakfast was excellent with lots of seating. The owner even walked through and chatted with guests. We stayed a couple of nights and will definitely return and highly recommend this hotel. Also this hotel is very quiet the way it was built. Thanks for a nice stay. Steve and Dianne Erickson.
The Best Western Plus in Kamloops BC is a very convenient location for this business traveler. Well situated , with clean excellent rooms, comfortable bed, and a very decent breakfast. It is my first choice when in the Kamloops area on business. Close to Thompson River University Campus and central enough to provide a hassle free commute to anywhere else in the city.
Very happy with overall stay. Hotel is nice with great rooms. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Only bonus would be a larger fitness room with more equipment. Otherwise very happy and will stay here again.
Great stay! I hadn't planned on staying here and arrived at 3:30am with a 5week old, 1.5 year old and 13 year old. The staff were great and offered help every step of the way to getting to my room to going for breakfast.
I have stayed in this property before, and while I have always enjoyed it, when not subject to business rates, I have found it over-priced. That seems to be the trend for Best Western these days. Room clean and comfortable and services good.
Very disappointed with the staff. At check out I alerted the front desk that the fridge motor sounded like it was on its last legs as it and hummed very loudly every 10 minutes for 2 minutes. The response I received was "95% of the time it's just the shelf rattling". It definitely was not a shelf rattling, but whatever it was, it needed to be fixed and staff should of apologized for the noise and told me they would look into. It is stated that breakfast is until 10am. I arrived at 9:30, by 9:52 they shut of the juice machine, removed all the coffee and food. I felt completely rushed and didn't understand why they closed even before 10am when there was still a room full of guests that all had arrived prior to 10am. I thought it was incredibly rude of the staff to clean up while guests will still enjoying their breakfast when we still had 8 minutes to eat.
We were so pleased to spend a quiet night at Kamloops Best Western. It is one of the few times that we did not have to turn on white noise to block out noise. The beds were very comfortable as were the pillows. Breakfast in the morning offered a good variety for the health concious and those wanting the traditional eggs etc. All in all a great stay
The facility and staff were great and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I would have no problem recommending this Best Western. I Wish it had a restaurant but we only had a short distance to travel for food.
A very nice pet friendly hotel!!!! everyone please clean up after your pet so they don't become pet UN-friendly. I will be staying here again. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was good. Internet was good.
We are always pleased with the Best Western Plus in Kamloops, but our most recent stay here was by far the best experience yet. The complimentary breakfast complete with bacon, eggs and pancakes is always a highlight of our stay, and now there is an even wider selection of pastries, cereals, and fruit and a new addition of french toast! Very clean rooms and exceptionally friendly staff (free chocolate at the front desk!). Good location with a view of the hills.
Really nice hotel with hot breakfast, good internet services along with swimming pool and fitness center. Very handy location with pubs and restaurants in walking distance with the nice view. Downtown Kamloops and the university is close by, rooms are very spacious and clean. Ample parking in the front and rear.
The main reason we stay at the Best Western Brand Hotels is because we like their breakfasts. There is always a variety of foods and condiments offered and their coffee is excellent.. I also stay for the discounts available online. The Best Western Points card and Airmiles are my incentives. I received a really good discount during this stay.
We have stayed in this hotel for several years now as we travel between Victoria & Calgary. It is a pet friendly hotel that maintains a high standard of cleanliness. We appreciate having the pool, fitness centre & a decent breakfast. We feel we get good value staying here. Staff have always been friendly, helpful & efficient.....a well run place.
Except for the new branding colour. The room was clean, comfortable, and mostly quiet. The walls appeared to be soundproofed but the ceiling not so much, as we could hear the people on the floor above. The continental breakfasts at Best Western are always more than just pastries and coffee, and this one did not disappoint.
This Hotel should be a model for all Best Westerns. Starting at check in, everything was ready including our BW welcome bag and a little dogie bag for our Pom. Clean room, excellent breakfast, everything was fresh and the lady taking care of the breakfast items was very pleasant and was there to answer any questions anyone had. She is special. Checkout was a breeze, will definitely be back.
I had to travel to Kamloops with my parents and dog for one night for a doctor's appointment. I was hoping we could all stay in one room (each adult wanting their own bed) so I called and spoke to the front desk and Rebecca was most helpful and pleasant. She told me she could put us in a pet-friendly, ground floor room with two queen beds plus a pull-out sofa. This perfectly met our needs. The hotel was easy to find just off the highway and close proximity to the MRI and specialist clinic I was going to (the hospital was close as well.) It was just a couple minute drive down the hill. The hotel is new and modern, and the rooms were very nice. Our room was very spacious, especially considering it had two beds and a sitting area with couch. Plus, there were plenty of outlets for charging phones, iPads, etc with three adults. The beds were very comfortable as were the pillows (four pillows to choose from on each bed.) The free WiFi in the room was fast. The non-carpet flooring in the pet room was high-end looking, and the cleanliness was exceptional. Usually my dog spends the first 20 minutes sniffing every inch of a hotel room (which tells me it's not very clean) but in this room he quickly laid down and settled into his bed. I spoke to several of the front desk staff and all were very friendly and helpful. They even accommodated a late check-out request so I could come back to the room after my doctor's appointment. My parents enjoyed the breakfast and found a couple parks within walking distance for the dog. The front desk even provided a doggie goodie bag upon check-in! I always try to stay at Best Westerns and this one exceeded my expectations. I will definitely book again next time I'm in town. Probably the nicest Best Western I've stayed in. Definitely has the most friendly staff!
Was in for a few days. Smooth check-in. Lots of parking. Great service from the desk staff. Large pool area and gym. Had stayed here in the past and the breakfast wasn't very good but this seems to have greatly improved. Clean comfortable rooms with nice beds. Central to sahali and Aberdeen areas.
I stayed at this hotel on September 9th 2016. This hotel was very clean and the rooms were lovely. The beds were very comfortable. They had a nice pool if you wanted to go swimming. The staff were kind. It was nice to have a hot breakfast before hitting the road again. I would recommend this hotel.
This hotel has amazing staff, a nice pool, a decent fitness centre, and a wonderful free hot breakfast included. It's located halfway between downtown and the shopping centres, and within walking distance to the hospital. It's the perfect location, and it's quiet. The beds are good too!
Clean room comfortable bed and OK for a one night stop over. As a Best Western Diamond member you usually get an upgrade or a welcome pack with water. We got a Multigrain bar, two small chocolates and a bag of Bear Paws Minis. Bit of an insult really. I think they would have been better to have not bothered! The breakfast was OK but again I have had much better with a simple selection. It did have a hot selection though. With a more than average price it was disappointing but OK
Slightly out of town - too far to walk to downtown, but with shops and restaurants close by. Pool OK - good size room - breakfast average. AGAIN Best Western with no in-room safe - this is a pain. Basically does the job.
Great place to stay after a long drive, great beds nice pool exercise room, staff were very attentive, breakfast was on time and checkout was a breeze. Very nice too stop as a halfway point from Calgary/Canmore when travelling to the coast
Room was very clean, but I do get tired of these hotels that have designated dog rooms, this hotel room was on the back, right on the parking lot...ground level....got in the room, opened up the curtains to a view of a dumpster and garbage cans....asked to be moved , which was done....I would like to know why as a traveller with a dog, we always get the worst rooms, no choice, and we pay more than regular rooms. Always having to pay more for less....I don't get it. Will never return to this hotel. So far from downtown, had to drive to downtown .....breakfast was good enough , we were high on a hill, but because of being a dog traveller, we were given the worst room...no view what so ever . We are rewards members.....but the next night we went to a different hotel...not a best western!
Spent a night in the Best Western Plus. Great service and great people. the rooms were nice and clean and had all the amenities we needed. They also have a very nice continental breakfast with everything you need including coffee.
Took the grandsons to visit mom in Kamloops. Had a good weekend getaway. Hotel was very good. Kids enjoyed the pool even though there was no water slide. Free Wi Fi was reasonable speed and the breakfast was much better than most. Would definitely stay here again.
I stayed in a king room for two nights. Uri made the booking for me and he was very helpful and friendly. The room was really nice and included a sitting area which I quite liked. Also, The breakfast is absolutely fantastic!!!
Located about four blocks from the highway, its very close to several restaurants and local stores The hotel is very up to date with nicely decorated rooms and comfortable beds, the swimming pool with sea salt was very comforting after a long days drive, the breakfast buffet was very good with a good assortment of items
The hotel is clean and the staff are courteous and efficient. Our room was excellent and the complementary breakfast was good. The location is central and the exterior of the hotel is appealing. We highly recommend this hotel and we stay here whenever we are passing through.
Room was comfortable, nicely decorated, and spacious. Breakfast was good. There was one hot entree each morning plus meat. Would have preferred a slightly healthy choice instead of white bread french toast. There were other options available daily. Fitness centre and pool were good. Bed was comfortable but a less firm pillow would be preferable. Very nice stay.
This Best Western hotel is located between downtown business and mall and other business away from downtown but close to at least six restaurants. It is well lit at night and has some l.e.d. lighting design that looks good at night. The rooms are large and well appointed. I especially like the granite on all furniture. The bathroom floors are heated. The exercise area has good equipment and windows to the outside. The breakfast area is large and comfortable with ample televisions to watch the morning news.
Clean and inviting. We always appreciate the fitness center and pool, didn't get a chance to use it this trip. The hotel had a great view from our top floor room, and we'd like to revisit Kamloops again and we'll be staying at this Best Western again!
We chose the Best Western Plus Kamloops Hotel for the last night of our trip so we could visit family in Kamloops. We found it also offered a good location in regards to near by restaurants and bars/lounges and was also only a short drive away from the casino and the downtown area.
This hotel is very well managed. The reception is professional and competent and the rooms clean and not noisy. Always like to stay here when in Kamloops as the hotel is well situated close to shopping centre and down town.
The Location of this Hotel overlooking the lights of Kamloops is perfect for our purposes. The park that looks over Kamloops is just a few steps down the hill and I go there to take photos. There are two East Indian resturants IN WALKING DISTANCE AND THEY ARE BOTH GREAT. shopping and all services are located with in a couple of blocks. The hotel is always clean and service is quick. What more could you want?
Relaxation and comfort after a day on the road. Located off the highway but easy to get to. Most amenities you'd want are within 10 minutes by car. Very consistent in service and accommodations over several stays. Fitness room and indoor pool. Hot breakfast included, Internet in room, HD television, fridge, microwave. Our "old reliable."
We stopped at the Best Western Plus in Kamloops to break up a longer drive from Edmonton to the Okanagan. The Best Western Plus is at a very convenient location with easy access back to the highway. There are several gas stations, restaurants and a grocery store nearby, which adds to the convenience. The room was decent with a comfortable bed. The fitness facility and pool were nice amenities.
Stayed at the hotel as we were passing through. The room was nice and large. The hotel was clean, but you could tell it's a little older. The hotel has nice pool and a good hot breakfast included. We got the 2 beds because the it was cheaper than the one king and we were only staying one night. The room had a small couch with a coffee table and a desk with an office chair.
We were just passing through, but we really enjoyed our stay here. Clean, comfortable, and the included breakfast was really nice. Location wasn't important to us, but it is close to superstore, restaurants, and a cold beer and wine. If we spend anytime in Kamloops again we would stay here.
When we arrived at the hotel we checked in and were giving our room keys but when we got to our room there was someone already in there! We went back to the front desk to see why that was and they said I booked the reservation for the next night and this happens a lot due to their system which books it for the day after you request if you're booking it before the cancelation period. They then told me I had to pay a way higher premium because there was a wedding that night when I already paid and was checked in and only took $2 off the room price for the night. I was extremely frustrated and would never stay here again. The rooms were also lack luster and the blankets were extremely thin. I would never stay at a Best Western again.
This hotel is very easy to access from hi-way #1 and was very clean and well appointed. The breakfast had an extensive selection each day and the coffee was excellent. Very friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
Checked in to the Best Western Plus in Kamloops with my dogs. A beautiful room with a comfy sofa in the living room and a separate bedroom and additional TV. I arrived at night and through the window could see the twinkling lights of downtown Kamloops in the valley below. Parking was right outside the door. I requested a room appointed for disabilities and found this to be one of the best rooms ever to accommodate my needs. The shower room was fabulous and beautiful and my knees and hips were thankful not to have to step into a bathtub! Cookies for the dogs at check in and heavenly pillows to sleep on - every detail attended to. I will definitely come back to this hotel in the future. The person who helped me at checkout gets a gold star and I am sad I didn't get her name as she gave amazing customer service and I am a tough cookie to please! Since I slept in beyond the hotel breakfast, she recommended a great place for me to grab breakfast and helped me reroute my drive home. Way to go the extra mile for your guests :)
We stayed for one night in August at the Best Western Plus in Kamloops, and found it to be an excellent hotel. The check-in staff were very good, and, on a day when it was still 34'C at 6.00 in the evening, it was a great touch to find the a/c already on when we arrived. We booked for two queen beds for a bit more room, and our room certainly had plenty of space, with a very good room lay-out. The beds were comfy, and we got a good night's sleep. Breakfast was very good in the morning, to round off what was an excellent stay. The hotel is located on the edge of the town. It was way too hot for us to walk into the town, but it is only a short 5 minutes drive, and Kamloops has ample parking in the evening. A very good hotel, and we would certainly stay there again on future trips to the area.
We have a pet and have stayed at this hotel before. I like that the pet room is not carpeted and especially this trip since the weather outside was terrible. The location is very easy to get to and there are plenty of options around the Hotel to eat and shop. There is a good Breakfast with lots of options. This time we had some problems with our internet booking and the staff worked hard to make sure that everything was correct and that we had a room for the night.
My wife and grandson needed a room while visiting some family. Quick reservations at BestWestern.com and voila, a perfect room. Very clean with all the amenities. My sister and mother even joined us in the pool that evening. Friendly staff and great location. Will definitely revisit!
Stayed here 1 night when moving our son to TRU, great location for this, really close. Our room was huge, really nice! Desk staff really friendly also. The complimentary breakfast is awesome---bacon,omelettes,pastries,pancakes.....pretty much everything you'd want. I would definitely recommend it! Only complaint is very noisy hallway once breakfast starts (stayed on first floor)
Nice property , close to all ammenities. Breakfast was good also . Lots of parking , and rooms were spacious and clean. Close to the hospital which is why we stayed there . The weekend farmers mkt. is close by
After a great night's sleep in a clean, comfortable room, we discovered that our car had been broken into during the night and our backpacks, with all included gear, had been stolen, We should have heeded the posted signs to not leave anything in our car. Not the fault of the hotel. Yui, at the front desk, provided us with phone numbers for the RCMP, the Toyota dealership, and a glass replacement company. While we were calling, the maintenance man (Sorry I don't remember his name) vacuumed broken glass from our car. Because the replacement window wouldn't arrive until the next morning, Tim, the hotel manager, gave us a reduced rate for the extra night's stay. Everyone was helpful and I highly recommend Best Western Plus in Kamloops BC.
I just stayed one night and it was peaceful, clean, and relaxing. The staff were really nice and easy to deal with. Just what I needed after a long day of driving. The breakfast is great and has lots of variety. The salt water pool and hot tub was cool too.
I stayed a couple of nights at this property. It feels brand spanking new and very modern. The breakfast was one of the best I've had due to its variety and quality. Bed was very comfortable and extra blanket came in handy. Washroom was very clean but for those that prefer a tub this room had a shower only. I'd stay here again without hesitation and highly recommend it.
This hotel is so close to everything. The room was clean and spacious and the beds were so comfortable. The pool and hot tub were fun for the kids and the breakfast had a large variety. We would definitely stay here again.
We spent one night at this hotel and it was wonderful, quiet , clean and beautiful. The indoor pool and hot tub were great after a long day of driving, and get up to a breakfast included. This hotel is one of the best in my opinion and very reasonable rate. Make your booking here for your next trip to Kamloops.
Sandwich method: Pool was good, parking easy, location had everything close While we did showed up early, we were informed by the staff that we only had to wait 15 mins for our room, then 20, then 30 .... Etc, etc, etc. The room was available 2 1/2 hours later.... Staff were really nice, room was good, television had a good selection. Do not know if I will return or not....
We stopped in Kamloops on a two-day road trip. It was a great stay and the number of beds was perfect for us. The room was beautiful and clean and I enjoyed the breakfast selection. I will definitely stay here again.
We got just what we were looking for: A clean, comfortable, modern place to stay for a family wedding. Nothing over the top special, but solid. The hotel is located fairly close to the highway, but there was not noise at all. The staff were pleasant. The beds were comfortable The free breakfast was complete If you're looking for a roadside stop in Kamloops, stay there.
We stayed here for one night on our way from Calgary to Vancouver. Everything, from the check in to the room to the breakfast was ideal. The pool is great. The staff are wonderful (had a great discussion at check out about various teas) I can find fault with one little detail;the plates and cutlery were plastic for breakfast; the food was really good and really plentiful. The Best Western Plus in Revelstoke on our way home from high taxed very expensive Vancouver used real plates and real cutlery so they win the battle. Would I stay here again? Yes, in a minute Would I recommend it to friends? Already have
Hotel was very nice and the family room we stayed in was very nice. My young kids really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Also breakfast was nice with a good variety of hot food (not just toast). Only downside to the whole experience was three cars were broken into including ours. The staff were very helpful in contacting the policy and helping me clean up but I think this might be an an annual problem. There are signs reminding people to remove their valuables from cars parked in the back lot (because parking out front is limited) and I read in other reviews that people had concerns about this.
Was quiet, decor was pleasant, lobby comfortable, pool warm and great for kids, beds extremely comfortable. Staff was friendly and professional. Sound did not carry through room door/walls/floor/ceiling. Kids enjoyed the stay. The breakfast was marvellous and there was plenty of room in the breakfast area. Will certainly stay here again!
Nice friendly hotel. Near shops and close to downtown. Helpful service and directions. Clean spacious rooms. Wake-up call on time. Bagged lunch offered for those who check out prior to the restaurant opening with complimentary breakfast. Complimentary parking with stop over. I highly recommend the Best Western Plus, when staying in Kamloops.
Stayed here as part of a soccer team. Clean, big and great breakfast! Kids loved the pool and hot tub. Room was clean and big. Perfect for a family of 4. 2 queen beds plus a pullout. Room for everyone! The breakfast room was large and everyone found something the liked to eat.
My husband, son and I decided last minute to book a hotel for 1 night over the BC Day Long Weekend so the choices were slim. We spent the day hiking at Sun Peaks and were thankful to have a hotel room. Hotel itself us pretty nice, check-in was a breeze. Room was a tad pricey though at $193 for the Saturday night. Breakfast was really good, probably the best hotel breakfast I've had in awhile. Our only two complaints were there was a used water bottle still in our fridge from the last guests (room 316) and the bottom of the pool was EXTREMELY slippery. I slipped and fell a few times in the shallow end trying to prevent my son, who is a 2 year old non-swimmer, from going under. Nearly bailed on the stairs going in. I would probably stay here again, but I'll be sure to bring my water shoes next time.
Nice hotel. Modern décor. Easy to access from highway, close to shopping and dining. Indoor pool was well used, hot tub worked good. Room was quiet and clean, bed and bedding was very good. Complimentary breakfast was better than I have had staying in some all inclusives in Mexico. Staff were friendly and put effort to have the breakfast area clean and stocked. Had a good breakfast to start the day of another road trip. This was a good stay and I would return again for a night stay when on route.
We stayed at this hotel twice during our Canadian visit and found that it was a very good stay. Probably the best Best Western out of the 8 we stayed at. Very comfortable, good location with views and helpful staff.
My husband and I came to Kamloops on the way home to Spruce Grove, Ab, from Keremeos to visit our brother in law who was in hospital. I phoned Best Western Plus and the lady I talked to was very accommodating with my requests and I told her we had a pet, wanted quite room and that we were visit a family member in hospital and she gave us a hospital price which was great and room was wonderful, we had a free hot breakfast. I would highly recommend Best Western Plus in Kamloops and other cities..... Thanks Diane
On our way to Calgary, my partner pulled into the parking lot of this hotel. It was clean, had two queen beds, free wifi, free parking and a basic breakfast was included. They had one room left, so we took it rather then risking going to another hotel (just in case other hotels were also full). Breakfast was fine, check out was fine - nothing amazing, and nothing terrible. On our way back home from Calgary, we stayed here again. If you have one, use your bcca card because you do receive a discount.
We enjoyed our stay. The bed was nice and firm and we had plenty of pillows. Wifi was quick and there were 2 wall outlets easily accessible above the desk and a lamp with an outlet so charging up our devices wasn't an issue as it can be. Fridge/freezer did a good job keeping our cold packs frozen too. Breakfast had a good assortment. Nice pastries and cheese omelet the morning we were there.
Excellent hotel. Comfortable bed. Relaxing room. Great breakfast. Have stayed there before and would again. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good location. Close to all services. No problems with anything.
Hotel and rooms were very clean. Very helpful and friendly staff. The only complaint is the noise level from kids and other guests after 11pm and as early as 6:15am. The buffet breakfast was fantastic and it is very easy to find. Don't know if I would stay here again because of the noise.
The selection at the breakfast was wonderful, the lovely woman in the Breakfast room was amazing, she offered 4 different Gluten Free options, made restaurant suggestions for Gluten free options. She was friendly, helpful and an absolute delight to interact with. We really enjoyed going for breakfast so that we could chat with her, she was warm, friendly gracious and awesome employee all around. The ladies who were in charge of housekeeping were also exceptionally friendly and helpful too.
Stayed here for one night on a business trip. Room was very spacious with 2 queen beds, plus a sitting area with a sofa and table. Everything was clean and new feeling, though the bathroom had a slight mildew smell. Free WiFi per room. The gym was OK - elliptical, treadmill, bike, and universal, but no free weights. The pool was great- saltwater, perfect temperature, and large. Nice hot tub as well. The complimentary breakfast was good, with a fairly large selection that included sausage, pancakes, fruit, yogurt, and breads. Free coffee was available in the lobby at all hours. Would stay again if in the area.
Nice size, well furnished rooms. Bed was comfortable and room was quiet. Clean rooms and lobby area with friendly, helpful staff. Checking in was fast and efficient and the free cookies upon checkin were tasty and a nice touch.
the gentleman that checked me in was very pleasant. he gave me a upgrade to a a room with a king since it was just myself. that is where it started getting terrible. the smelled musty. the little fridge was quite loud and i had to unplug it to sleep. in the morning there were kids that were running up and down the hallway at 8 in the morning. i was slowly getting up but it was still annoying. i left at 9 am and they were still running in the hallway. when i walked out of the room it was a dad pushing kids on a luggage cart. precisely what is wrong with the world today when a parent thinks that is acceptable behaviour. The part that made it even worse was that a housekeeper was on the floor and quite obviously did nothing to stop it. I snapped at the parents and left. once at my vehicle i phoned the front desk and complained about the noise and the inccompentent staff memeber that did nothing. the manager tried to offer something but i was so pissed i just stated i will never stay at his place again.
Stayed here for a one night stay on the way to Vancouver and booked a suite for us. The rooms were large and the sofa bed already made up. Check in was uneventful, and indeed the guy on reception was very friendly. The rooms were clean but had a very musty smell on walking in the room, almost like damp sweaty hiking socks drying out. To be honest a little unpleasant but having driven for hours we just crashed. It's a Best Western and it does what it says on the tin !
Extremely friendly reception staff , one in particular went out of his way to help us with luggage storage and assisting us with dinner venues and other directions. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a comfortable enjoyable stay in Kamloops!
This was a one night stop and having stayed here before got more than we expected. The desk staff were welcoming and helpful, we were given an upgrade to a King Suite, very nice. The room was large and spacious, consisting of a large lounge area, separate bedroom and good sized bathroom. The room was very clean, comfortable and well decorated, with great views of Kamloops and the surrounding area from both the lounge and the bedroom windows. The hot breakfast was very good and the dining room more than adequate and very well kept. The hotel is close to various restaurants and stores and it is easy to get back to the main highway. Even though it is close to a busy road, we heard nothing and enjoyed a good night's sleep.
Located on a reasonably busy main road the hotel despite looking modern externally does have an air of being dated internally and having a closer than average eye to cost cutting. Painless check in and good sized clean room though bedroom lighting was gloomy making use of energy saving bulbs (there are brighter energy saving light bulbs just as efficien). A fairly large parking area to the front but a notice in the lift advising to beware of thieves and remove valuables from the car is disconcerting though we had no problems. Breakfast was adequate but the use of paper crockery and plastic cutlery is a real turn off to any food enjoyment. A one night stopover whilst travelling across country and for that it was perfectly adequate but really not one I would go out of my way to stay in again.
This is a great hotel and we would definitely stay here again. Rooms were great lots of room we had the suite with 2 queens in a separate room with a pull out couch. Worked great with kids. The pool was great different then just your standard rectangle pool. Breakfast was very good.
I have stayed at this hotel on several different occasions - each time it great. The hotel staff are so friendly and accommodating. It is pet friendly which I totally love so I can comfortably travel with my little pup....a couple times I got a little treat bag given to me for her from the front desk as well! Breakfast, coffee, to go bags..... Easy to get onto the highway from this hotel if you are travelling and many great restaurants and gas stations nearby. We ate at an Indian Restaurant just down the street that was really quite good. You won't be disappointed at this hotel!
Awesome hotel and highly recommended. We had a great one night stopover. Hotel is very clean and quiet and only 10min from the downtown area. King room was excellent and Bed firm for a great night sleep. Would definitely say again if in Kamloops.
Exquisite 1 night couple stay, we were setup on the top floor King suite and served beautifully by Keshia and Yui at the front desk. They were very helpful with suggesting local eateries and extremely pleasant and kind. The hotel is extremely clean, quiet, even though located right off Columbia St (TCH1). Not sure what more you could ask for in a hotel. If need be this hotel is perfect for multiple night stays. No issues recommending this Best Western as it's been one of the nicest we've stayed travelling across Canada from Toronto. 5 Rating from this traveller.
It looks like an older property, there was an odd smell in the hallways and common areas. From a vegetarian perspective breakfast was average. Pancakes tasted bad, pastries were cold, eggs and fruit selection was good. Oatmeal as vegan option is available. Good tea and coffee variety. Breakfast room is small for a property this big. Some redesign here will make feel big and open. Room was big and clean, but decor made it look like from the 90s. LOVE the bath products! All the staff I met was nice and friendly. Didn't use any other amenities so can't speak to those. Overall, average BW Plus. I have stayed at much nicer BW Plus. I think a few changes in their decor will go a long way.
As per usual, the accommodation was perfect, staff very welcoming and efficient. We appreciated the room up-grade to the top floor. the site is very quiet, great breakfast room, beautiful pool and hot tub. We would highly recommend this hotel. Always a good stopover point.
Your standard Best Western Experience. It was clean and comfortable, but the rooms on the side near Columbia St can be quite noisy even at night. We stopped over here on our way to Calgary and found that it was pretty decent for a stop over hotel. The breakfast was really good and had a wide variety of food choices all included in the price of the room. Overall happy.
We had a very good experience in this hotel. It is very clean, the beds are very comfy, the breakfast is really good. It has a nice pool and gym. I recommend this hotel because for the price you pay you get a lot.
Much better than average rooms as there are a few architectural embellishments such as crown moulding etc. Despite the crowd the breakfast worked which is an achievement. Convenient location just off Summit Drive . Definite recommend
We booked this as a stopover on route to the Rockies. The hotel is standard Best Western, with an imposing entrance but rather lacking in atmosphere but lots of parking and fitness facilities. All the staff we met were exceptionally friendly and helpful; our room was large, with two very comfortable queen beds, clean and modern with a good size bathroom; the fitness centre with small pool was welcome. There are also guest laundry facilities on site but the hotel does not have a restaurant. The hotel is a 25 min walk downhill to the centre of town where all the restaurants are (there is nothing but fast food nearby) but were took a taxi home which was only 6 CAD. Breakfast is included in the room rate and was poor, no hot option, stodgy pastries, cereals, toast and yoghurts etc; help yourself with paper plates and plastic cutlery in a dining room that resembles a school canteen. All in all a stark contrast to the standard of the rooms; very disappointing Beware this hotel can be difficult to find if you are using a sat nav, which directs you to a domestic property half a mile down the road. We paid £97 for our room
We arrived here very tired after a long day travelling, wanted something to eat and off to bed as another early rise next day. There were long queues for the lifts so we just used the stairs and carried our luggage. The room was very nice, lovely and clean and had twin queen beds. We just put our cases in and went to get something to eat. We went to the buffet lounge but there was nothing for us and what was there did not look appetising, We were told of the lounge upstairs so we went there. A very nice chap called Frank introduced himself and got us some drinks and menus. We chose something to eat and we did not wait too long before we got our meal. It was plain but tasted very nice. We paid and went to our room. We had an early morning wake up call, got up and went to the buffet room for breakfast. We managed to get some cereal and cold tea which was not worth the money. Other people on our tour got absolutely nothing to eat. The hotel dining staff just didn't seem to have a clue and were definitely not prepared for breakfast. Very disappointed.
This is our go-to hotel when we travel through to Vancouver Island. Excellent service, the pool is great, rooms are quiet, beds are comfortable and pet friendly. The location is also a plus, with easy highway access (but still quiet) and dog walking access. Extra touches like beautiful planters, coffee in the lobby and a terrific breakfast buffet make this hotel a winner.
Central to Sahali and convenient in and out. Lots of parking. Nice clean rooms with updated bedding. Large tv's and in-room fridge and coffee. Also coffee at reception which is something new. Good fitness centre and pool. Nice staff. Included breakfast is basic compared to other best western hotels but hits the spot.
Easy in and out even though you have to get off the highway to get there. Front desk agents are very friendly and helpful. I checked out before the breakfast room opened and the front desk agent offered me a take-out snack bag, which was very nice.
Excellent service, clean, great breakfast at this hotel (we have previously eaten here) but had to get on the road before breakfast time on this trip. This was the final stay on our return home to Fort McMurray, it was nice to stay at a hotel that cares about about quality. Thank you Best Western Kamloops.
The rooms were generous. The beds were good and the WiFi worked fine. The welcoming staff were most friendly and professional. Based on the signage in the elevators and elsewhere this property has problems with property theft from vehicles. Visitors are encouraged to remove all valuables from the vehicles. We had no problem but I worried all night about the four sets of golf gear in my van. I would say that breakfast was less than one would normally find at a quality BW Plus. There are lots of places to at near this hotel.
There was nothing special about this hotel. It looks the same, smells the same, sounds the same, and is the same as every other major chain hotel. They are all overpriced and I generally would not stay here. The stay was just what I expected. I got a deal on priceline. If I didn't get the deal, I would have stayed somewhere less expensive.
We normally do not stop in Kamloops in the summer because of the higher cost of hotels, but this time it fit. The value was worth it and we will add this location in our future trips through BC interior.
Here is a pleasant surprise, I get to stay in a structure that my Step-father helped build. Nice thing is this hotel is just a short walk to the Kamloops Lookout and so many restaurants and venues within reasonable walking distance. The rooms are nice, clean and affordable for those young families. The continental breakfasts are the standard Best Western menu and quite enjoyable. I am here from the 25-28 May and for mid week it is really busy. Lots of out of Country visitors. Easy parking access and lots of it. Fuel station right close and a traveling food truck out front that people seem to flock to. All in all. A great find.
These folks met and exceeded our needs and desires to make this a very enjoyable (although short) stay in Kamloops. We will probably return for another stay based on both the staff, the facility and how much we now know there is within the community.
Just a one night stay passing through, this was an excellent choice. Friendly staff, clean room with an extensive views to the north and west over the valley and adequate breakfast facilities. Would definitely stay again.
This is a well managed hotel and the staff is very friendly over the years I have stayed here on numerous occasions and was never disappointed. Rooms are large and bed is very comfortable. When in Kamloops I stay here and can only recommend this place.
Booking was fairly easy on the phone. Everything worked to order. Check in and out was fast. The gym was adequate, the breakfast was ok. Bed was comfortable, the room and bathroom were very clean. Bath tub was small but that's ok.
We use BW+ Kamloops regularly, for several years now. Solid quality, no surprises, good staff, hot breakfast, pool and fitness centre. Flat screen TV if you want it, wired and wireless internet with password. Easy to get to off Highway 1 and to get back onto. Plenty of food and shopping choices within a 10 minute drive.
We always try to stay at Best Western as we like the chain. This hotel was great. I loved the design of our room. Everything was so clean. I was told the hotel was approx. 6 years old and to me it looked newer than that. Very pleasant and helpful staff. We would definitely stay here again.
Awesome service and awesome location! Great breakfast. The hotel was clean and large rooms. Parking was easy and the view around the hotel and room was beautiful. Lots of stores near by that made things convenient.
When we checked in there were 3 buses of high school athletes. But they were quiet and respectful, no problem at all. We asked for 2 queen beds and were given a king room. The staff corrected the problem right away and were very pleasant. The room was clean, nicely decorated, it's quite new. The beds are comfortable and the linens are nice. The bathroom was large and well equipped. We had breakfast both mornings and enjoyed the meal. It isn't the best breakfast we've had at a Best Western but still nice to have handy in the hotel. I will be back!
had a very pleasant stay. warm bathroom floors a nice touch. had trouble connecting to wi fi so front desk brought up a cable and hooked it up and checked to make sure I was connected. the breakfast quality was good but surprised they used plastic and paper unlike our other hotel stays. not very green. considering they have electric car charging station.
Kamloops is situated on the shores of the Thompson River in B.C. On either side of the river are pristine hills which gives one a fantastic view in all directions. At the river side there is a public park which is well worth one's visit. The Best Western hotel is situated half way up a hill whereby one overlooks the town and the river; an advantageous viewing location. The hotel is clean and appears to be recently built.
Stayed here over night on the way to Vancouver Island. Very clean hotel friendly staff would stay here again next time we drive through. Not far off highway and lots of things to do around the area of the hotel
Great location close to downtown and anywhere else in Kamloops. Hotel is very clean and rooms are large. Pool is large and hot tub is a treat. I had a lovely breakfast for free each morning and enjoyed the newspaper. Staff where all friendly and helpful.
For several years now I have chosen Best Western Hotels or Inns to stay while traveling and have not ever been disappointed. On occasion I take a different chain for location purposes but if that is not necessary Best Western is always awesome. The Best Western Kamloops Hotel is set aside near malls and restaurants and was easy to find. The staff especially the lady who checked us in and out was wonderful. In fact everyone including cleaning staff were friendly and made eye contact. This Best Western Plus Kamloops hotel was a perfect stay for our family. The room was generous for our needs and everyone slept well. The breakfast was excellent and the attendant very helpful as I had my young grandson. Her assistance was appreciated. I recommend this Best Western Plus Kamloops Hotel to anyone doing business there or just passing through as we did.
It's clean, friendly, nice breakfast, good amenities, good location. The only problem was that there didn't seem to be much in the way of soundproofing between rooms. We heard the folks from next door, upstairs, and down the hall visiting.
Seems that whenever we use our BW points to stay at the hotel we get the lousiest room in the place, the most uncomfortable bed and in the nosiest location. We felt like second class citizens and it's happened before. Terrible beds, terrible food, just an overall bad experience.
We stayed at three Best Western hotels during this trip from Vancouver to Banff and Jasper. This was our first stop and we stayed overnight to rest from the long drive. Our family of 6 stayed in a large room with two large beds and a separate living area with a large sofa bed. It was very spacious, comfortable and well designed. It's also the little details that made me realize that this was a notch above the usual. The toiletries were made in Canada and had organic ingredients. The breakfast buffet had a good spread and I particularly remember that the hot chocolate sachets were delicious. Kudos to this hotel for aiming and achieving a higher standard.
We've stayed at this location 3 years in a row, twice during Christmas break and once during spring break. We are NEVER disappointed with our stay. While it is a little higher priced, I KNOW I'll be satisfied with everything. The pool is fairly basic, but my girls still have lots of fun, and the hot tub is always the perfect temperature. The onsite laundry doesn't break your wallet, and the breakfast has enough choices for our entire picky family. The staff is not just friendly, but welcoming and genuine. Honestly one of the best BW hotels we've ever stayed at!
Room carpet was wet and the room had a musty smell. At checkout the staff did not care when I discussed it. You can hear the toilet in the room next door. The rooms are right on the highway so noisy. Multiple notices to remove all items from you vehicle due to multiple break-ins.
We arrived at the hotel later in the evening just in time for my daughters to swim. The pool was clean and towels were warm. Just before bed, one of my daughters got a bit of stomach ache. I went down to the desk and asked if she could have a slice of bread or toast. They suggested that yogurt would help and brought back from the kitchen a yogurt and a muffin. This solved the stomach ache. Both of the staff were eager to help and very friendly. Our room was clean and beds were comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was plentiful and well organized with a large variety of options.
We enjoyed our stay in this Best Western, Kamloops. Friendly and helpful staff, and a clean and comfortable room. Especially enjoyed their indoor heated saltwater pool and jacquzi. Breakfast wasn't bad, as these things go. Very clean and well maintained hotel as befits the Best Western Plus brand.
I love staying at this hotel. The staff is always amazing, the rooms are clean and large. The pool and hot tub are great, and the gym isn't bad. It's easy to get downtown, to the hospital and to the shopping centres at the top of the hill. It's near the university as well. It's very quiet - there's lots of parking, and the free breakfast is great. Having free wifi is really nice too.
I've stayed here quite frequently for work, and have used their conference room for business meetings as well. The property itself is great, the rooms I've stayed in even have hardwood floor, which is something I've never seen in a hotel room before. The rooms are very spacious, and very clean. The breakfast is great, lots of options and love the pancake machine! Location wise, there are a lot of dining options along Columbia and it's really handy to have the Superstore right next door, especially if you're needing to pick up something in a pinch. I'll definitely stay again.
This is a fairly new property. We found it to be very clean and comfortable. The breakfast had a large selection of choices. The bed was comfortable with four pillows to choose from. The fan on the heating unit was a bit loud, but we turned it off and the room remained comfortable.
Stayed for a couple nights. The staff were friendly and polite. The room was up to date and clean. Wifi was decent. Cable tv selection is typical basic package. The breakfast in the morning was great, had hot food also. The only negative for me was the lights in bathroom were limited, The lighting in the shower/bath tub was dark. Overall it was a comfortable and quiet stay.
We stay here whenever we go through to Vancouver. A friendly, clean hotel with very good service. They have a great little breakfast to get you going. The location is handy for shopping and restaurants. I have never had a negative experience at this hotel.
The room was spacious and comfortable. Really enjoyed the pool and hot tub as well. When I was here last year, the breakfast room was being renovated, so I assumed that was the reason for the paper plates and plastic cutlery. However, I was surprised to see the same setup again this year. It just seems wasteful. The breakfast itself was fine. I found the staff to be courteous and helpful.
This hotel offers reasonable rates that include a decent buffet breakfast. The location is very handy as it is central and close to everything. They have great staff and offer excellent, friendly service. The entire facility is super clean, rooms are large, comfortable beds and just a great value.
Very pleasant stay. Employees friendly and helpful. Would definitely choose this hotel again. Was up too early for breakfast which was included but I was offered a pack breakfast to take with me when I checked out. Very nice touch!
Stayed overnight for business, good rate, nice rooms, bed and pillows (lots & fluffy) were great. They have dedicated WiFi for each room, that was good. The only thing I would change is they use the cheapest coffee available, Mother Parkers throughout the hotel. Why not use a local coffee roaster that has fresh interesting coffee? Other than that it was a good stay.
Wonderful greeting when I arrived, and a pleasant good by when I left. Room was clean and comfortable. This hotel is located very close to the highway #1 and is easy to find. Good restaurant just across the street and down a half a block. Lovely place.
Does not meet expectation of a best western plus; -Could hear traffic all night long. -Bed had just a thin blanket on it. -Shower leaked all over the floor which made you use all the towels just to clean it up. -food looked like it had been out all night long. Pancake maker didn't work. Pastries were stale. -cleaning ladies making unnecessary noise in the hallway at 7 am woke us up.
We enjoyed our week long stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The lobby area was nicely decorated for the Christmas season. The kids in our group enjoyed the hotel's amenities.
This was our second experience with the Kamloops Best Western. Both times were very positive experiences. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was far better than what we had expected. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. This hotel has developed an excellent atmosphere.
Quick stay. Room 415. King bed with lots of space in the room. Free wifi. Quiet and Nicely appointed. Great breakfast. Very friendly staff. BCAA rate roughly 130. Located on the hill and easy to get to but you need a car to go visit anything. Nice and clean cardio room with a pool and hot tub.
We love this hotel and always stay here while travelling to Vancouver. Staff are very friendly, polite, and go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. Rooms are large, comfortable, and very clean. I'm pretty sure it's a fairly new hotel and has a great view of the mountains all around it. Lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel too!
We stayed at this hotel twice in the last 7 months - both times for funerals. The staff was most accommodating in trying to have a room ready for us as we needed an early check in. Our room was comfortable, very clean and the bed and pillows were excellent. The location is convenient to restaurants & shopping although a car would be needed for getting to the shopping area. if in Kamloops again this hotel will be our choice to stay in. All staff including breakfast staff are pleasant & try to be helpful any way they can.
We were in Kamloops for a swim meet and stayed at this hotel. It is a good, clean hotel with comfortable beds, lots of parking, a nice swimming pool area, and good central location. The breakfast was average. The hotel is located on a busy road and there was a lot of noise during the night; if you are a light sleeper, it might be best to request a room at the back of the hotel away from the road.
I haven't had much luck with 'dog friendly' hotels in Canada - they are usually rundown and dumpy, and they hand you the dumpiest of the dumpiest rooms and charge you $25 or more for your dog, so whenever possible I head south to stay in La Quintas. But this hotel is the exception to the rule. It is La Quinta North and that's a good thing. Exceptionally clean room, great staff too. There were a few niggling things. The first TWO sets of hotel key cards did not open the back door, where we were located (to make it easy, dog). The room (121) is at the back and spacious. The while there was absolutely no highway noise, the room was kind of noisy - in two ways. The heating system clicked on and off all day with the requisite fan noise, and there are a LOT of monitor lights - one on the ceiling, one on the door light switch, two on the TV and satellite box, one in the bathroom, etc - so if you are a light sleeper bring earplugs and blindfold. Other than that, perfect - great hot breakfast - eggs, fruit salads, hot coffees, a nice treat. Oh, if you have a dog, there is a vacant lot next door, but a bit scratchy and muddy - behind a derelict motel - but a 50 yards down the hill is a Kamloops Lookout, with a great grassy area and a beautiful view of the valley.
Very good sleep. Very comfortable bed & pillows. Nice view of city. Carpet in the room was worn and should be replaced Good staff , great service , Breakfast could be better. The waffle batter is flat , needs baking powder or something ?. The scambled eggs are cooked in plastic bag !. Choice of cereal not healthy. There is no honey.
I arrived at the Best Western in Kamloops in the evening with my two children (11 months and three years) after booking what I belived was a suite through my travel rewards card. Upon getting into the room, I realized it wasn't a suite and went back down to the front desk so they could change the room. After some confusion it became clear that the error was not on the hotels end. However, they upgraded our room free of charge and and were very patient and professional. I was very surprised and impressed and will definitely be back. Additionally the room was great. I have stayed in the suite before when traveling with children and it is perfect. I definitely recommend it for families. We have stayed in other suites in Kamloops as well and this one is the best by far.
Very clean, comfortable and relaxing always recommend best western. breakfast are always hot and you know you have a good thing when all the other hotels start following your lead (respectful Hotels ).
Central Kamloops, near by pubs, shopping, as well as the hospital. Close enough to TRU, and the REC centre is right around the corner Enjoyable size pool and hot tub. Complamentry breakfast as well. Rooms are a decent size and very clean, my family enjoys there stays.
Have stayed here several times and will again. Most rooms I've slept in seem to have stale air likely because the opening windows are very small and the rooms probably never are aired out properly. I can tell a difference to the "smell" of the air from the hallways to the rooms. The breakfast is good, too.
The Best Western Plus Kamloops was a very pleasant overnight hotel for us. It also set new standards for me because I would never have accepted a room across from an elevator and beside an ice-maker, but I did and I couldn't hear anything outside my door, so kudos to the high building standard. The room was large and clean and almost new, but I would have liked a picture above the work desk as it just seemed a bit empty. We really enjoyed the large hot tub, and the free breakfast and free WIFI was both awesome. The front desk staff were very helpful to us in finding a delivery food service. I would recommend the Best Western Plus to fellow travellers.
We have stayed at many BW's. This one was one of the best, good design in the room, especially the bathroom. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff staff. (good recommendations for dinner and other things we needed) Breakfast was good, very friendly and helpful attendant in breakfast room. Real cups, not paper in room coffee maker. Will stay there againl
Lovely hotel aside from the cleanliness of the room and the lack of addressing the issue with some form of discount or something. When you check into a hotel you don't expect to find the last guests swim trunks hanging in the middle of the shower. How house cleaning missed it is beyond us. What's scary is what else did they miss?
Had a great stay! Hotel staff were friendly. Breakfast was a good fast breakfast. Nice, new looking hotel. Located close to everything in town. Room was really nice and clean and fresh smelling. Rooms had AC/Heating.
Love the heated floors in the bathroom. The staff are always nice. The hotel is clean and welcoming. Close to all sorts of shopping. Breakfast is good. Lots of tv channels to choose from and movies to order if you want to treat your self. I love to stay here.
Happy staff, comfortable bed.. Close to shopping and restaurants. We had our little Pomeranian with us and the pet room had a hardwood floor. No smell and we felt it was very sanitary. Excellent breakfast, 3 cheese omelette, sausage, bacon, 5 links of coffee, tea, pastry, juices etc.
The hotel was clean and newer. The beds and fixtures were built very low for shorter people which my wife liked. The price was high for equivalent hotels, but maybe not so much in Canada. Most of my experience is in the U.S.
Modern, clean rooms. Very spacious 2 queen beds with couch and desk area. Large bathroom with adequate counter space. Not like a usual cramped 2 queen room from similar hotels. Nice pool, hot tub and work out area. Pool was interesting shape and decor, salt water. Comfortable temperature. Friendly reception staff. Booked through Priceline. Very happy with the price for value.
All Best Western Pluses are not created equal, and one of the main variables is the quality of the free breakfast. In this case it was really quite good. Excellent large room and nice bathroom. Made a great stop on our way from Jasper to Seattle.
This was our first stay at a best western hotel. They had a good breakfast area and there was an assortment of food choices, and plenty of room to sit. It has a good location (walking distance to stores, restaurants, etc. They have friendly and informative staff. The room was clean and the internet worked fine.
After driving all day, we pulled in here for a room. They had one, checked me in within mere minutes. Nice spacious room, large bathroom, good TV. Desk staff helped us with directions around town. Very nice stay. Oh, and was easy to get to.
Very pleasant check in counter; pet friendly rooms with small gift for pets. Very spacious rooms; close to a rear exit for ease of taking pets outside. Had double queen room with sofa. Very nice breakfast that had scrambled eggs, bacon & sausage the morning we were there. Good location with shopping very close. Would highly recommend
Hotel was clean inside and outside, staff friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet was very good with lots of variety, located within walking distance of a small mall & a variety of restaurants, quiet, quite a view
This hotel had nice rooms but that is where it ended. The front desk staff was curt and verging on rude, completely unhelpful. Our room rate was increased based on how many people in the room, I booked for 1 adult and my friend came as well so they jacked the rate for the second person. Who does that anymore? My friend asked for a robe to use at the pool and was told that they are only for our 'suite' guests. I guess the non-suite guest are to walk around the hotel in a bathing suit. Our TV picture was showing everything with a brutal green tinge which I asked the front desk to fix as we were locked out of that function. When it wasn't fixed I asked again and they told me that if it wasn't reported before 4:30pm than it couldn't be fixed as there was no maintenance man. Its just a picture adjustment, really? Someone else couldn't have done it?? The breakfast was pretty gross, the scrambled eggs had been there for quite a while, the sausages were dry and the bacon was see through. Not even close to bacon, it could have been a bacon flavoured product... The coffee was undrinkable, smelled like manure. We could have stayed at the Doubletree down the road for about $40 less a night, we will next time.
We arrived very early, not expecting our room to be available. Hotel receptionists very helpful, suggested some places to visit until check in. Good location, clean but rooms very dark, could do with some updating & brighter room decor. Only coffee available in the room, tea would have have been nice as an option. Good breakfast; again, paper plates. Yuck. Plenty of parking.
