Hotel Hovborg Kro, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

Had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff were so lovely and coped really well with the only Brits staying here. The room was really clean but for us the bed was on the firm side. Ample free parking in front of the hotel. Quite a large hotel considering it was in what seemed to be a small village. The thatched roofed pub next door is owned by the same family and although a limited menu there was plenty of choice and the food was delicious. Hubby had the schnitzel, make sure you have not eaten for days if hoping to tackle this one, a pretty large meal. I was recommended one of the two fish dishes which was to die for if you like fresh, well cooked fish. It consisted of a piece of beautifully lightly battered fish, a piece of plane white fish, a piece of salmon, a large portion of prawns with a Marie Rose sauce on top of a slice of toasted granary type bread, lettuce, watercress, asparagus and a sour cream…..think that was everything….so delicious. We were also recommended one of their imported Italian white wines which was very nice and of course a jug of local fresh tap water. We could not manage a desert but kept seeing them being paraded to other tables and they looked equally lovely. We stayed here on a very hot evening so was very pleasant to sit outside to dine. Had requested an upper floor room so as we could open the windows for the fresh air, I think this is the best bet if you stay here on the odd day that it is very hot. Breakfast was very good, lots of fresh tasty produce. Would highlyrecommend a stay with meal here.

A very nice hotel. Wonderful staff and very good breakfast. I would stay there again. The garden is very beautiful and the surroundings are relaxing. There is a big parking space also. It's an old building but everything has been updated to today's standard.

Perfect hotel, great food, great friendly staff. Room was perfect, access to a nice courtyard via patio door. Will stay here again when I am in the area. The thatch roof on the main building is beautiful and adds character to this fine complex.

Two nights with gourmet dinners comfortable rooms and good breakfast. 20 minutes from Legoland and Lalandia, close to Billund Airport Enjoy mid Jutland and the West coast which is only 1 hour away. An excellent base for exploring the countryside and visiting local museums.

Hovborg Kro is the best hotel I've been to in Denmark, it's location can seem a bit of, but it's actually really nice there! The rooms are good, the staff is very friendly and the food in the restaurant is a piece of heaven! Plus, you can get some really, really good wine here as well.

My mum and I had a quick dinner at Hovborg Inn. The restaurant has lovely old-fashioned décor. The dish of the day was salmon with vegetables and potatoes and it was very tasty. The waiter was attentive and charming. I can highly recommend dinner at Hovborg Kro.
