"Out Went My Historical Perspective"

Last time I stayed in a Best Western Salt Lake City.UT in 2002. It was a disaster. My how that has changed. The moment we walked in to an inviting and clean lobby: Oliver greeted us. Warm and knowledgeable. Thank you Oliver. Our room was large, clean and inviting. Loved the Elephant towel sculpture. Little touches like the TV remote in a clean bag. All counters and drawers wiped out. Microwave and refrigerator clean. Bathroom spotless with ample towels and toiletries. Comfortable work space. The very comfortable side chair with side table is a great idea. Mattress and pillows just to my liking. Let's talk breakfeast. No charge made to order eggs, omelets and pancakes.... Sounds like a trap... Not so.... Sakina is a treasure and a true charm to this property. I heard her great guests in Emglish, Spanish and French. Everything was cooked perfect. Sakina tabled delivered each order and followed up on each table. Day 2 Sakina welcomed us by name. Usual selection of scrambled eggs, protein,cereals, fresh made yogurt.and beverages. 24 hours coffee, flavored water and fruit available. Did I mention Sakina ? What a joy. A loose toilet seat was taken care of in under 10 minutes. Spend 5 minutes with the General Manager and you know why this Hotel is the place to stay... Her passion and joy is contagious. Kudos to the Franchisee for having the vision and talent to put together a wonderful experience. We will be back... Back for business and pleasure.

"Noisy, with good breakfast"

The front desk took about 5 minutes to provide keys because the blank cards were not reading properly. Our room was nice and the bed comfortable. However, the room across the hall had a problem and a maintenance person was working on it until about 10:00pm. It was noisy. The breakfast was very good with made to order pancakes and burritos.

"Fab breakfast.. Nice hotel.. Good staff "

Hotel is clean & comfortable with free parking. Walking distance to eateries & bars. The breakfast is fab & you get fresh pancakes omelette or burrito to order your way. Plus the usual cereal yoghurt toast bagels fruit. It has a small gym which is ok for 2 people to work out in no more.

I have too say this place is the best place I ever stayed. Due to Albert Costly he gave me the best customer service possible. I have to say that I will be staying here again. Great breakfast I love the breakfast, The clean rooms. Excellent service just the overall experience. Typically don't write reviews when I was Greeted so well I couldn't help myself but too!

My family and I were interested in staying, short term, at the Best Western Galleria while our house is being constructed. Upon entering the beautiful hotel lobby, we were greeted warmly by the desk staff and Albert Costly, the manager. This hotel is excellent. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated, good mattresses, great rates, gated parking, and plenty of amenities. A special thanks to Mr. Costly for his professionalism, kindness, friendliness and great service. Mr. Costly is very knowledgeable and seems to care a great deal about the appearance and cleanliness of the hotel. I was impressed and we pre-paid to stay in the hotel until my house is completed.

"Amazing"

This hotel is awesome. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, and the service is exceptional. I booked online and upon arrival I was greeted by the sales manager Albert Costly. Albert made things happen for me and made my stay awesome. He was extremely professional and caring. And he got me a last minute room for my moms best friend as well, and hooked her up with the same rate as me. Thanks Albert you are amazing.

"Relaxing Business Trip"

The front desk was so nice and helpful throughout my entire stay. After a workout one night (the gym is small, but works) I was wanting a snack and they gave me some fruit for free out of the dining room. The room was spacious and comfortable. The room was always clean when I got back from my day. The complimentary breakfast was much better than I expected! I will stay here again next time I'm in Houston

I recently stayed at Best Western for business. I enjoyed the hotel amenities and the building was clean and new. Service outstanding, check-in process easy. The breakfast was excellent with made-to-order omelets and waffles. The AC was basic but functioned well and was not noisy. In-room wifi worked great, the desk space was exactly what I needed to attend to business and near a window. Of note, the lamp light was flickering and when I called the front desk they came up within a couple minutes to change the light bulb. Easy access to several outlets near bed for overnight charging and near desk. Shower pressure was excellent. Room was cold at night, I requested extra blankets. Hotel is across the street from Thai Gourmet and near several restaurants and frozen yogurt shops.

"Friendly hotel"

Best Western Galleria Houston was the best. Our room was spacious,clean and well serviced. Breakfast was great. Apart from cereal,muffins,toast etc you can have your eggs cooked to order. Hot and delicious. The staff are great. Special thanks to Moe and Shirley who where so helpful and made us feel so welcome. Thank you. If we ever come back to Houston this is where we will stay.

"Good budget hotel for Houston stopover"

We stayed one night at the Best Western before flying to Mexico. It was in a good location for the Galleria, but our travel time to and from the airport doubled in rush hour which we didn't allow for. $90 taxi fare!! Lesson learned. The room was perfectly amenable for our group of three. I'd asked for the sofa bed to be ready, which it wasn't. I called down for linen which was delivered, but lacking in pillows. The mattress on the sofa bed was pretty awful. We had an early start which meant we didn't partake of the breakfast, the night before we'd been offered "to go" bags, but the lady at the front desk in the morning wasn't aware of this! She quickly made up some snacks which we were grateful for. All in all - not bad.

I experianced no issues. The property is clean inside and out. Updated rooms other than the floor squeaking when you walk it was a great stay. When I checked in they were awsome and provided all the information I needed.

"Honeymoom stay"

We booked this hotel last minute on booking.com as we were flying in from Nashville to Houston and needed accommodation for only one night. Our room is lovely nice and spacious, good location but the best part was meeting the lovely lady on the desk Danielle. She was so upbeat, bubbly and helpful giving us some great tips of some "must do's" while in the city. Best Western is lucky to have such a customer focused emplyee working for them! We loved our over night stay in such a beautiful city.

Booked same day on through the BW app as we were traveling back to Houston from San Antonio. Would have been a bit happier with a location closer to the Galleria Mall. Nice spacious room and free breakfast.

Check in was quick. We were greeted daily and the amenities were kept up. The location was great because it was very close to shopping and eating. The hotel was also very close to the interstate so it made it possible to get to other locations.

"Great Place for the value"

This was a very comfortable hotel, The bed, the living room everything about it was great. I really enjoyed the fact that breakfast ended at 10. I was out of the hotel by 8 but at a lot of these places breakfast ends very early and it was very delicious anything you want they prepare my compliments to the chef Joseph, he was great and professional he made everything and it was to perfection. Thanks again to everyone. I will go back for sure when I'm in Houston.

"Comfortable hotel near Houston medical center"

I spent one night here recently with a friend who was having surgery in the medical center the following day. I had reserved a handicapped accessible room to help accommodate my friend who was having a hip replacement. The room was clean and nicely appointed. Service at the front desk was excellent. I had one chief complaint which kept me from leaving a 5-star review. Since this was a handicapped room, I fully expected the handicapped amenities to be in place. This was not the case. The bench for the shower was not in place; it was leaning against the wall. I had to pick it up and put it in place in order for my friend to take a shower. When I addressed this problem to the manager the following day, she told me that the hotel's policy was to NOT put it in place in case a non-handicapped person used the room. This made absolutely not sense to me; if I had not been with my friend, she would have been unable to put the bench in place or take a shower! Would it not be easier for a non-handicapped person to remove the bench than for a handicapped person to install it? Aside from this issue, and the problems I had with my room keys (they had to be redone twice), everything else was good.

Far beyond what one might expect at a Best Western, this venue was entirely guest-focused. From the darling towel animals in the room to the thoughtful breakfast, Best Western Galleria Inn & Suites catered to guests. I was part of a volunteer group helping after the recent flood. The hotel was a lovely way to start and end our long days working on homes destroyed by flood waters. The staff was terrific. The leadership team was exemplary. To a person, we were impressed by the level of care and attention by the team in Houston. Special shout-out to Joseph Austin ... ok, everyone at the site. Kudos!

I had to stay an additional night due to the weather an road conditions. The only complaint I have is in room 202 one of the beds are in front of the bathroom so when my friend got up in the middle of the night to use the restroom the light was right in my face and woke me up. The staff is awesome! Kaylan, Shirley, Oliver, Jobanny and Joseph truly went above an beyond during my stay and I look forward to seeing them again next month.

One of the best hotels I've stayed in. Outside of long term suites or resort housing. Desk clerks and housekeeping staff are great. Gracious to meet your accommodation needs. Shirley is the hotel manager and wonderful at her job. Always a great breakfast each morning to start your day. I highly recommend that you make your reservation asap. Vacancies tend to go quick.

"Nice hotel, great breakfast!"

We stayed here for a month. Clean hotel with soft beds. All of the staff were wonderful. Joseph Austin was the cook at breakfast making pancakes, omelettes, and burritos,. Always there with a great attitude and a smile! Isabel was the main person that cleaned our room and was very sweet, making sure we had everything we needed. Johnny, on maintenance, was very quick to respond to any concern. Sherril (I probably spelled that wrong) the manager was also very kind. I enjoyed chatting with all of them. They all made me feel as at home as they could during my stay.

The breakfast here was so good. Joseph Austen was the cook who was so upbeat and friendly along with being a great cook! On demand he would make an Omelette or breakfast burrito with your choice of toppings. You could also get a ready made pancake. Great friendly environment. Also, the front desk lady with the glasses was so informative and helpful with a sweet personality. I really enjoyed being here. Was great.

"Hurricane Harvey 4 month stay"

Although not by choice, our 4 month stay at Best Western Galleria in Houston has been a very good experience. For me, being able to have a good hot breakfast prepared for the kids before school was so helpful and convenient. Joseph Austin, the breakfast cook, is professional while being super friendly. A nice way to start the morning for everyone. The manager, Shirley, has been more than helpful with any and everything we have needed. Very pleasant place to stay.

"Comfortable Stay Good People!!!"

I stayed in this hotel for a couple of months until I was able to find a place to stay. The staff were all really kind and helpful. The pillows are the most comfy! Breakfast is pretty good.I look forward to the coffee and orange juice! There is also a big plus to have breakfast made to order by Mr. Joseph Austin! He is great to talk to and his eggs are pretty good!! All of the housekeeping staff were super sweet. Isabella, Lilli and Sarah were all especially nice to chat with. The front desk attendants were all very patient and kind as well. Between the front desk staff Latoyia was by far the most helpful and I cannot recall the young man and young lady that were very personable and helpful as well, both of which I believe have locs. Overall, I certainly recommend anyone to stay at this hotel and to make sure they do not miss out on a chance to experience breakfast with MR. JOSEPH AUSTIN!! THANK YOU ALL FOR A PLEASANT STAY!!!!!

"Fantastic Breakfast"

The breakfast was the best I have ever experienced at a Best Western! Made to order eggs, omolets and pancakes! My husband had 2 eggs over easy and pancakes every morning! Rooms were nice, we enjoyed our stay. Everything was great with the hotel. The big problem was the last morning there, our car was broken into over night but that wasn't the hotels fault. The hotel next door had cars broke into as well! The staff was very nice,even let us borrow a shop vac to vacuum out the glass in our car

Arrived late due to bad weather, check in was quick, room was nice, Uber to concert and back to hotel was easy. Didn't get a chance to eat breakfast due to the late night out, however in room coffee really helped in getting going for the day. Really liked that this hotel has a 12 noon checkout.

"Very clean and quiet"

Second time staying at this hotel. It is very clean and I liked it. You feel that cleanliness is important to the management. Room was well furnished: fridge, tv, sofa-bed, microwave, study desk, comfy bed. Complimentary breakfast. Really liked their decaf coffee (must be coffee from Ivory coast).There is a cook at the breakfast making hot specialties on demand (must be tacos or tortillas, not sure). The hotel is very quiet with ample parking in the back. The area is Ok and you have access to major highways within 5 minutes drive.

I rate this hotel a "10" in everything. Great room. Great shower. Great breakfast with a real live chef. Plenty of parking. Close to many restaurants only 5 minutes away. Downtown area only 20 to 30 minutes away, with no freeways!

This is a very affordable place, and has everything you need for a good night sleep, free internet, and FREE BREAKFAST WITH OMELETS!! That was the best amenity of all, I forget the cool guy making all the food in the morning, but he was super kind and was happy to make omelets for everyone, I left very happy that morning! The location was good for my need. Very basic decor, no internet at all... Breakfast was far below the other Best Westerns that we have stayed at. Out of food and really messy... Was a good deal but better off paying a few bucks more nad getting a better place.

"Convenient location and great breakfast"

A friend and I stayed here while attending a women's conference 2.4 miles away. Our room was spacious, as was the bathroom — plenty of room for 2 women to spread out our toiletries. The breakfast was awesome ... made-to-order omelettes and pancakes ... add-ins available for both oatmeal and yogurt. Reasonably priced ... conveniently located ... well fed. Would definitely stay here again!

Staying here because I lost my home, car and most everything to Hurricane Harvey. The staff is amazing and kind! Room is comfortable and spacious. No complaints except for there is a damp smell in the room and the pillows are small and not very comfortable. The highlight of my stay has been the breakfast attendant Melinda. She greets everyone with a smile and warm welcome, which is a joy during these trying times! Keep up the great work Best Western!

"Great breakfast, Terrible Beds"

This hotel was perfect for what we needed. No frills. Low Cost. Close to downtown. Close to restaurants. Nice pool. The 2 things that were not as expected were: 1- The Breakfast - They do not advertise it but they have a hot station at the continental breakfast with; eggs; omelets; pancakes; and breakfast burritos all customized made to order. And to top it off it was made by Melinda who was so friendly and makes INCREDIBLE food. 2- The Beds - The beds were very hard and the pillows were throw pillows. I like a firm mattress, but these mattresses were not firm they were hard and the pilloes were very difficlut to get comfortable with because they were the size of throw pillows.

I looooove this location. The staffs are really nice, kind, and respectful. I love the General Manager Shirley Phan, she's a super woman for assisting me on my stay and taking care of phone calls and other guests in the hotel. She did it alone and was short staff, but how she composed herself, remained professional and still accommodated those in need.... She's super awesome for her multitasking functions and communication. Also, I love Mrs. Melinda, she so sweet, humble, professional and a loving person. It's obvious she enjoys taking care of people, she's a great cook, she check on you and make sure you are well. Her services and hospitality is impeccable. I enjoy the breakfast way more. ,when Mrs Melinda is here. I love this hotel. Thank you best western for making me feel safe, secure and super. I'm very thankful.

Made to order breakfast was awesome!! We checked in the Thurs before Hurricane Harvey hit. The female manager on duty that afternoon was SO nice, friendly & very informative as to what the hotel plans were in preparation of flooding & power outages. We had to go ahead & check out the next day unfortunately early due to fear of how bad conditions would get within next 24 hrs. Manager, Shirley was at front desk & also very nice, friendly & understanding of our need to cancel rest of our reservation. She informed us she would not hesitate to refund our money considering the circumstances when the booking website contacts her. Also want to mention great lady that does the made to order breakfasts. Great cook, made our morning!

Bugs in room. Returned to room at 4 pm to find towels had been removed but room had not been cleaned. Had to go to desk for towels. Had to empty my own trash and front desk simply handed me new bags when I carried the trash to the front me trash bags

In regards to potential bugs in your room, we take potential bug reports extremely seriously. Our entire hotel team is instructed and trained to advise management immediately should any reports be received as well as to immediately put the room out of service. We have a contracted professional pest control service that does monthly inspections to our guest rooms and they inform us immediately of any issues. We did not receive any reports during your stay. Again, we take this very seriously so if something like this does occur please be sure to advise management. It will be addressed immediately. In regards to service to your room, I am very disappointed to hear that you felt our front desk and housekeeping teams did not provide good service. We provided a complimentary upgrade to a suite at check-in. I was advised however, that the day you came to the front desk about linens that our laundry team had removed the used linens prior to your return to the hotel and when you returned the housekeeping team had not yet been to your room to service it. We had a very high occupancy that day and our teams were running a bit late. We advised that housekeeping would be there within 30 minutes and that the front desk was happy to assist but were turned down and asked to just provide what was requested. I regret that we provided you with bad service and a poor customer experience—it is the exact opposite of what we pride ourselves on and we apologize. We will be using all your feedback to implement improvements for future guests. "17 CARS VANDALIZED!"

My husband and I stayed here on the nights of August 4th and 5th of 2017. On the night of the 5th, 17 cars had their windows bashed in including ours. Luckily, we do not keep valuables in our car. However, we are out $750 in insurance deductibles. We slept in that morning and we were not notified that it happened by the staff. They could've called all of the guests to tell them of the incident, but they did not. I did not see a security guard on duty.

We have been connecting them with the proper resources and the HPD, we have helped with cleaning out cars as well as continue to work to resolve their individual challenges as quickly and effectively as possible. Although we may be in a major city center where incidents like this sadly occur, we can assure you something like this has never happened to our hotel in the history of the hotel. The criminals who perpetrated the heinous acts did so in a very quick fashion. While this did not put us at ease we are taking additional steps beyond our precautions already in place, to prevent something like this happening again. We stayed here for a concert in Downtown Houston, and our vehicles were broken into, along with 15 other cars and trucks. This place is a nice hotel too, but Richmond is scary at night. Steer clear of this place and stay in some other part of town.

"Nice hotel, weird pillows"

Stayed here on a Thursday night. I had to run errands at a couple of consulates on Friday morning so my wife and I decided to make it a micro-vacation. Clean, modern rooms. Breakfast was pretty standard fare although we did not explore the made-to-order options. Chose this hotel because of the location (near consulates) and price (~$120 after taxes). The location is not in the best part of town, with several strip clubs nearby and a La Bare literally across the street. Still, it was quiet in our second-floor room even though we were facing the main road. It may be noisier on a Friday or Saturday with all the clubs. My only complaint (if you can call it that) is the weird, square half-pillows on the bed. There were four of them, but my wife needs at least three normal-size pillows to get really comfortable and I usually use two or fold a normal one in half. Since we arrived late at night (around 11) and were only staying one night we didn't call for more pillows or anything and we made it work. It still seems like an odd choice in a hotel that hitting above its weight class in pretty much every other respect.

This hotel was great! Anytime we needed towels they were available. When our room keys didn't work they were able to fix them. The room was spacious for the three of us as well. For breakfast we were greeted by Melinda who not only was our cook but also took care of all the cleaning and kept in touch with all patrons making sure everything was good and they were not missing anything. I enjoyed my stay. Breakfast was super good. Melinda was very nice. Making ur omelets with smiles. The breakfast is not meals, bacon, sausage, pancakes, yogurt and many more. Love it. The area is not great. The hotel was clean and the staff was ok. It's fine for a one night stop. The street nearby is a little noisy but not too bad. If you need a one night stop it will do and the price was very reasonable. I would come back if I needed a quick stay in Houston.

This is our second time to stay here. For us the hotel is close to doctor's office, restaurants and Hobby Center. Staff always friendly. Really enjoy the hotel's homemade omlets and pancakes. Pillows were a little too firm for us but we did not ask for replacements. Room very clean.

This hotel was wonderful from check in to check out. Staff were pleasant and helpful in every way. I loved that someone was available during complimentary breakfast time to cook an omelette or make fresh pancakes for us. Décor was warm and inviting. Rooms were great. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel special! Location was near Galleria but out of all the major downtown traffic so it was easy to get to places we wanted to see. Loved it and will definitely be back.

This is a comfortable place for a night or two. Pets are allowed, which is a bit annoying, since they do not offer smoking room accommodations. Service was fine, breakfast was excellent, facility was clean throughout.. Pillows were entirely too hard to use.

"LAST Best Western - There's nothing to like"

A. Breakfast at 6:30, fine if you're a resort, this place isn't. Working people almost always have to start somewhere by 7am, so the Breakfast option for ME was a waste that I ALWAYS, ALWAYS use at other properties. B. Elevator stopped working, I'm on the 3rd floor. C. Internet Stopped working D. The whole hotel smells funky, musty, moldy, something. E. Best Westerns STILL don't seem to understand that traveling people NEED TO PLUG IN THEIR VARIOUS devices!!!!!!! NO extra plugs, I have stuff plugged in behind the bed, in the bathroom, at the desk, next to the TV, everywhere BUT where everyone else provides outlets.

Unfortunately, the severe thunder storm that came through while you were at our hotel caused power outages in the area. Our generator got the power back on right away but the surge caused the internet and elevator to go out. We called our internet provider and they had it back up and running within a few hours. We also called our elevator service company. They came out right away and advised that the power surge shorted a system. Parts are ordered and the elevator will be back in service shortly. We have worked as quickly as possible to counter the effects of mother nature and understand your frustration with the break in service and apologize for the inconvenience. In regards to electrical outlets in the room, we do have outlets in the base of the bed side and desk lamps as well as outlets on every wall. Based on your feedback we will look into alternative options that could offer more outlets to our guests in additional locations. Great price, cleanliness and wonderful staff. I have stayed at many upscale facilities for 4 times the rate and the staff at Best Western outperformed themselves. I am planning on 3 more stays within the next 6 months.

Check-in was smooth & easy. Front desk staff were all friendly and very helpful. Lobby is beautiful and the room was clean. Pool area was very clean and the water was clean and clear. There was a good variety of food and drinks for breakfast. Including an omelet and pancake station.

"Splendid Stay!"

I was traveling with a large group of 34 people and we needed 9 rooms. I called a couple of weeks in advance and Ashley transferred me to Heather, who did an amazing job of accommodating our group. She offered suggestions for places to eat near the hotel and had all our keys made up and ready for us when we arrived. The hotel was very clean and in great shape - especially for what appeared to be an older, smaller property. The rooms were first rate, the beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the breakfast was out of this world!!! I've stated at a lot of hotels, and a lot of Best Westerns - this is my best stay so far, especially with a group! I will definitely be staying here again!

Breakfast was incredible. It was very quite here even though it is located in the middle of a lot of restaurants and bars. Great party area! Located in the middle of all the finest attractions that Houston has. I loved it!!!

The visit and stay was very good. The hotel staff was very professional and just down right nice. Everything was clean and the breakfast.....a perfect 10......The cook even made our eggs and pancakes...I've never had that at the BW i've stayed in.....usually had to make them ourselves. Sweetie Pies is in down the street for those who want Soul Food. If I'm ever back in Houston, I'd stay here again for sure. One thing though, no shuttle service to the airport, which I think every hotel should have or maybe a Uber/Lyft contract.

everything was good over all. We found it easy on Richmond Ave in Houston which was walking distance o local amenities. perhaps they can increase the security for guests feel safe to park their vehicles in the back as now Just say: " we are not responsible for damages and break-ins" and this could scare guest away which they want a secure place to rest and stay.

"Good hotel base for exploring Houston"

The Best Western Galleria Inn & Suites is a good hotel base, near the Galleria, to explore Houston. We stayed mid-May 2017, and the price quality ratio is great. Breakfast was good, with burritos, eggs and omelettes made to order, plus pastries, yoghurts, fruit, juices, coffee, etc, all complimentary. It was a good and relaxing way to start the day. The room was very clean, big, and comfortable, only the AC was a little noisy. The are where the hotel is located is very practical for exploring Houston, and it's so close to the Galleria, that you can shop, go back to rest, and then go back and shop some more. Free parking, and good overall. I would stay there again when visiting Houston again.

Can not sleep until the others customers would get to sleep. The main target of having a room in an hotel is to sleep, we did not get it! The hotel is located in a weird neighborhood. The breakfast was in the average but very light with fruits.

We just had a quick overnight stay, but it's conveniently located to the Galleria. Hotel is nice, room is nicely appointed with comfortable beds. The breakfast is really good, and has a custom order omelet/egg/pancake station, along with the normal continental breakfast fare. Would stay here again for sure!

This hotel is good if you are looking to save some money on your hotel. It is a good place to stay just to get a good nights sleep. Hotel staff needs to be more learned about some of the ameneties that the hotel provides, such as how to use the wifi. All in all it was a pleasent experiance.

"Best Omelet Station EVER!"

My boyfriend and I travel a lot and we set off to Houston to attend Lakewood Church. This property was an excellent choice. We had a wonderful experience at this BW Galleria. The location was perfect for our fun romantic weekend plans. There was plenty of shopping, dining choices and sightseeing opportunities not far from the hotel. The room was extremely large with a refrigerator and microwave. Plus, the complimentary breakfast each morning was our favorite surprise of the select/limited service property. I have never seen a Made-to-Order omelet station with a complimentary breakfast in a non full-service hotel. The cook on the weekends made them the best!

"Good place for a 1 night stay"

My friend and I stayed at this motel for a 1 night stay. I was convenient to the Galleria area and near highway 69. Our room was ready when we checked in but unfortunately there was a musty smell in the room and we figured out that it was coming out of the AC unit. Other than that issue, the room was clean. Another couple of issues that we had is that the pool didn't look too clean and we were not notified when Breakfast would end. By the time I called down to the front desk, it was over by 30 mins. So if you need a basic, comfy place to stay, then this motel is fine for you.

"Elephant in the Room"

There was a small elephant crafted of hand towels that greeted us when we checked into our room. It was a very nice touch to welcome us to this hotel. Check in was fast and the front desk clerk thanked us for being loyal Best Western customers. Our room was clean and comfortable. Morning breakfast had a good mix of food items and was well stocked. There was also a cook station that made omelets or pancakes to order. The only detractor was the air conditioner fan that was loud and did not cycle off after the room had cooled. Overall, we had a satisfying stay and want to say thank you for the nice welcome.

This is not the BW Plus caliper that I expected. I would not stay here again. We had to change rooms due to mold smell, then had gun fire at the hotel next door last night! The room rates were very reasonable, pet friendly with a good breakfast and happy hour on Monday night. Staff was wonderful.

This motel was a good value. It is 10 to 15 minutes from downtown Houston, but the rate was well worth the short drive, and free parking. The staff was great, very friendly and professional. This was our second stay at this motel.

"Good hotel, close to many things to do."

This Best Western has a friendly staff, comfortable beds, exercise room, swimming pool, and a good breakfast. They served buffet style eggs, sausage, and bacon. Yes, they have fruit, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, etc. I enjoyed their made to order omeletes everyday. They also have made to order pancakes, burritos, and eggs.

We stayed at this property for the weekend as we journeyed to Houston for shopping, a ball game, and a comic convention. Conveniently located near the Galleria, there are tons of options for shopping and eating near by, and close access to the freeways for getting downtown easily. The staff are EXTREMELY helpful and provided great service throughout our stay. The rooms are decent sized and were very clean. The breakfast, while free, offered quite a bit, including a burrito/omelette/pancake station where they prepared your selection to your liking. Great price, excellent service, and free breakfast? I'll be staying here again.

rooms amazing/breakfast was above and beyond , made to order pancakes with endless fruits and toppings/delicious fruit infused water and dominic at the front desk provided me with the best customer service ive had in years. he was mature and helpful beyond his years. im here looking for a home to buy and was going to the hotel next door i accidentally passed it and fate had me turn in here. it was the best mistake i made all year. hotel was exceptionally clean and had lots of parking for my truck and motorcycle.

The hotel was clean and in great shape. I loved walking into a hotel after a 3 hour drive to see a smile on the front desk person's face. The best part for me was the breakfast, it was fresh and had a big variety of food to choose from. Next time I'm in Houston I'll probably stay again.

Wifi: 8 with password, but entry is easy and connection is fast Room: 7 quite large, good bathroom, clean and renovated recently Comfort: 7 good bed and no noise Facilites: 5 poor swinmming pool, very basic gym Parking: 7 easy and free of charge, no shade to protect from sun Breakfast: 5 was included in the fee, not su "yeahh!!", really standard with no extra things as fruit. very glum. Area was good. Staff: 6 not so helpfull, basic welcome. Area: 5 good for this specific place, far from downtonw. you need car for anything. at the end, good for a stop. value for your money if you pay around $ 110 / 125 per night

The hotel was in a like new condition. The rate was below other hotels in the Galleria area. I had stayed in another more expensive hotel the week before. The BW Fountainview Inn rate was 55% of the other hotel rate and BW included a breakfast.

Hotel was very nice and clean, room was spacious. Front desk agent was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful. Everyone I came in contact with at this hotel was very helpful and pleasant. Location is great, close to many shops and restaurants. Many restaurants that offer delivery to this hotel, would definitely stay here again in the future.

The stay was wonderful. I would definitely stay again and the location was awesome as well. I was very close to the galleria and shopping areas. The hotel was very quiet even though every other hotel was busy Best Western had plenty of parking and my room was ready when I got there.

My stay was short and all staff I came into contact with were very friendly. I loved that they had a cute little “origami” elephant made out of towels sitting on the bed to welcome me! The breakfast food seemed good, I only had apple juice, a muffin, and coffee. The coffee was okay, though not great, and this is of course based on my personal taste. The tub was leaking and I did report this during check-out, it was not necessarily a problem during my short stay; it the desk clerk made a note to have it repaired. I really liked the tub/shower, it was large, though the shower height was a bit of a challenge for my 6'4” son. The only “problem” I experienced was with the TV remote because I like to go to sleep with the TV on, but do not want it on all night, and I was unable to sleep-set the TV. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are stating in the area. ?

I stayed here for about 4 days and I can truthfully say it was one of my top 5 hotel experiences! The staff was friendly and helpful and always got things done in a timely manner. The breakfast was great, the pool was clean, just an all around good experience!

"Working near the Galleria"

Always try to find a Best Western when I travel and this one was perfect and easy access to the Galleria, I had to keep extending my stay and they were always eager to add another night and since I had to extend my stay longer than I planned they had laundry soap and machines on site so I didn't have to find a laundrymat in town. If you are in town and need to be at the Galleria location is perfect and you don't have to deal with that horrible Houston traffic. Property is nice and quiet. I highly recommend Sam's Boat for dinner that is nearby awesome seafood at a much cheaper price than Papadeaux's we ate at the night before.

"Good location, nice hotel but room not cleaned thoroughly enough"

I stayed at this hotel with my husband on a Friday night as it was close to the Galleria and was within short walking distance of several bars and restaurants. The hotel seemed very nice, the staff on the desk were friendly and welcoming and in general the hotel seemed clean however we did find a used condom in the corner of our room. We reported this to the staff on the reception desk and they offered to move us to another room. We followed up our complaint with Best Western customer services and spoke with Kaitlyn who kindly offered us points towards a future stay with Best Western.

This was my first time at this property, was greeted by Shirley upon check-in (she's wonderful) such a delightful and speedy check-in. I arrived a little early and she got me checked in fast. Clean rooms, my floor was a little creaky near the front door, but none the less I enjoyed my stay. Even had a nice view.Was in town for a family matter, but after a rest here none of I really mattered anymore. Next time we are in Houston we will stay at this location again. Close to a lot of stuff, but far enough away from everything too. Small breakfast with a fast working waffle maker (no biscuits & gravy) eggs, links, pastries, cereal. standard hotel breakfast fare. They delivered good service with a smile at this property.

We've stayed at a lot of Best Westerns since our retirement. This has to be one of the worst ones we've stayed at. The sound from the room above was like they were in the room with you. You can hear every step they take and it sounds like they're on a drum. The paper products, TP and kleenx has to the the cheapest stuff on the market. Motel 6 has better. I'd rather wipe with newspaper. The staff was nice, friendly and helpful. Most of the breakfast was OK, excpet for the processed eggs. It's location is very near my son's new place, but next time I'll be looking for somewhere else.

Great service...Great location....Great Rooms!! We were coming to the area for special church service on Sunday. We decided to come in a couple days early with the family. We were able to find a theater, great breakfast, lunch & dinner restaurants nearby. I would definitely be back, if I ever had to return to this area.

I am a VERY loyal Best Western customer and this is my first negative experience. I usually wouldn't write this but I addressed it with the attendant on duty & she acted as if she didn't care. Ok, when we got there there wasn't a blanket on my bed so I asked for one and then they never brought it. The next morning I tried to make a waffle at breakfast but one of the maids was making hers as well as the other staff's so I waited for over 15 minutes & I said , can I just make one & then up I can have it again and she said no I am almost finished. So I went to tell the front desk attendant and as she was eating her waffle she said , oh she's almost finished. So I politely left the hotel. It is what it is, I probably am better off anyway by not eating that waffle.

The room was clean and well-maintained. The biggest issue for my wife & I is the bed. While we prefer a VERY firm bed. The bedding was firm enough to offer a good night's sleep. The staff was warm, friendly and met every one of our requests during our week's stay. We will be back.

I loved everything about this hotel from the time I walked until the time I left. Very friendly employees, I had the jaccui room & the room was decorated with beautiful ducks made out of towels & the BEST part is that there checkout time is 12pm when other surrounding hotels is 11am. Didnt have to rush at all to leave. The hotel was very nice and clean & I will be back anytime I want to get away.

We have been staying here for years when we visit our son and his wife in Houston. It's always very clean and quiet, there's always plenty of parking, and it's a very convenient location for our purposes. We aren't looking to be pampered--we just want a clean, quiet, reasonably-priced place with a free breakfast. It meets our needs. I have stayed in hotels with much higher ratings but I prefer a place with a refrigerator, microwave, iron, etc.

Best hotel with a lower rate price in Houston area good people and very clean room included Breakfast goes until 10:00 which helps a lot since I am a bed person. This hotel was clean but basic and the staff were pleasant and accomodating however, it is located in a strip clubs area. We arrived at 1am due to flight complications and had to be escorted to and from vehicle...probably better if you arrived in daylight and did not wonder what had been done on your bed in the past.

I booked this hotel just for one night on the way to Austin and ended up staying 2 nights due to severe weather and flooding. They were nice to accommodate me for the extra night and also gave late checkout if needed. The breakfast was good. Only complaint was a smell of smoke once in a while, perhaps coming in through door as our room was close to rear entrance.

I have to travel to Houston every month to see my doctors. Would you consider a Medical rate (I also have AARP and AAA). Most of the time I only have to spend 1 night but other times I have to spend two or more nights. Another motel on 59 closer to some of my doctors has arranged for me to pay $57.00 for one night one room one bed mon smoking. $67.00 for one room two beds non smoking. they also have breakfast. ALL OF MY TRIPS ARE MEDICAL, Not business or pleasure.

Nice hotel in Houston located 15 min drive from Galleria and 5-10 min drive from shopping area. Pros: very good hot breakfast, free parking, the suite was "roomy", bus station just at the hotel. Cons: noisy air conditioner.

This is a good hotel to stay during the week. They are going through a remodel, but you really cannot tell. They must be nearing the end of the process. The staff was very friendly and the interior of the hotel looks really new. I was on a 3 day business trip to Houston, and enjoyed relaxing in the rooms' Jacuzzi after a long day in the office. The breakfast room was massive with a very modern face lift compared to other Best Westerns.

A decent and comfortable Hotel located at the quiet end of Richmond completely away from the noise of the city with very close proximity to the Galleria and other Recreation and Restaurants. We enjoyed our stay The television channels are many but can't get to my favourite TV channel because they were not part of the subscribed channels by the company. I mean Famous football Chanel that show European football and British Premier league

We attended a reception in Houston and stayed only 1 night. The Best Western Fountainview Inn was in a good location and it was easy to go home the next day. The hotel is very nice and the staff was friendly. The price per night was very good.The TV was on a blink, but we were not long in our room. I reported it the next day and the staff said, they will take care of it.

Although, we had reserved a non-smoking room the room definitely smelled like smoke and housekeepers admitted that it was a smoking room although the lady at the front desk insisted all rooms were non-smoking. Overall experience was good.

I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay! Both the housekeeping and front desk team are correct when it comes to the smoking/non smoking room. We just went through an extensive remodel. Before the remodel, we had smoking rooms. Now that we are almost finished, we are now all non smoking. We are still working very hard to get all the smell out of the rooms, as I'm sure you can imagine, isn't an easy thing! Again, I am glad that you had a great stay, and we can't wait to see you again!

I would stay there for the price and location. Paper thin walls, though. I think it is a good option for longer than a couple of days stays given the laudry room, mini fridge and microwave availability and convenient location.
