Best Western Plus Hood River Inn

My husband and I stayed for one night at this lovely hotel on the Columbia River and had a wonderful experience. We were in room 201, which offered stunning views of the river. The room itself was cozy and comfortable, though the mattress springs were quite bouncy and made noise when moving around. However, the room was very quiet, which made for a peaceful stay. The staff were incredibly welcoming upon arrival, making us feel right at home. We had dinner on the outdoor patio of the hotel restaurant, and the views were absolutely scenic. Although we were only there for one evening, we wished we could have stayed longer. Would definitely recommend this hotel for its beautiful location and warm hospitality.

Nice view of the river, helpful staff, nice landscaping, good parking...but our room smelled of cigarettes although advertised as non-smoking. This is not uncommon in U.S. hotels and motels but is disappointing in a room that costs $300 a night.

This is a great location! Shares a parking lot with Starbucks, McDonald's and a convenient store for any forgotten items. Room was clean, large and had a great view of the river. Bed was comfortable and TV was huge! Bathroom had 2 sinks, plenty of towels and great pressure in the large shower. Front desk, housekeeping and servers at the restaurant were all friendly and helpful.

I booked 2 suite rooms with balconies, when we walked out on one of the balconies it was covered in large spiders. Obviously it had not been cleaned. They were on the lights, walls, outdoor table and chairs. We immediately went inside and found a large spider inside the curtain to the balcony. We called the front desk and they sent up maintenance with a broom. We had not taken any of our stuff to the room yet so we went to the other room and called the front desk and asked them to please move us from the spider room. We had our non-verbal autistic grandson with us, which she could hear while I was on the phone, he was getting very upset by all the room changes and commotion on trying to decide what to do. He just wanted to get to bed. We were told that if we could keep him quiet they could move us to an executive suite. I'm sorry but we can't control his sweet noises. It was about 9:30 pm and the rest of my family was already sleeping. So we blew up an air bed we had in the car, and stayed in the room not infested. When we woke up we discovered a dead spider on the window. Chips were under table once we moved it. Cobwebs in corner of bedroom doors. The deck did have some spiders and webs but nothing like the first room. When checking out. They acted like they did me a favor by refunding me for the room we couldn't sleep in! I was so offended by the comment regarding my grandson, I didn't want to stay. The room was dirty and the other room was infested with spiders. We asked to talk to the manager and left our phone number but no one has contacted us.

We Always Enjoy our stay here! It has Beautiful views! The Staff is Awesome and the Pool and Hot Tub Área is Very nice! The Restaurant has Never disappointed us! The food is So Excellent! Fresh and Flavorful. We drive an hour to have dinner here, a few times a year as well as stay for our Anniversary once a year! It is Incredible to stay here! You will NOT be disappointed in this Property and Staff💜 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a great place to stop for the night! I'm just sorry I only stayed 1 night. Check in was quick and smooth. I stayed in a king room (no pets) with a view of the Columbia River on the third floor. My room had a balcony as well as a fireplace. My room was clean, quiet and very comfortable. The room was oversized, too. There is a restaurant (Riverside) near the lobby of the hotel. Admittedly, I did not eat dinner here. I did, however, eat breakfast here. My breakfast was "comped" due to my status with Best Western. A simple 2 egg breakfast with toast and breakfast potatoes is about $12. There are other items on the menu to select from as well. Breakfast was OK. Room service is also available. Check out was fine. All employees that I encountered were very nice. I would absolutely stay here again!

Had a nice one night stay in Hood River after a day playing at Lost Lake. We had a river view (non-pet friendly) room reserved and the room was very nice, clean and a good size for our family of 4. Great view of the river and bridge! There's a nice path along the river, but we didn't walk it this time. We drove into town for dinner and then enjoyed the heated outdoor pool. Breakfast the next morning was nice, although there was a wait. But, with the coupon they give you at check in, it saved our family $30! We would definitely stay again!

great service/location when our AC went out they immediately moved us to another room to get it fixed. location is water front, the only reason i did not give 5 stars is there is not everyday room servicing you have to ask for it each day great place to stay!

We have stayed here many times and always have a wonderful time. You can't beat the view and the wonderful food. Very relaxing experience. We travel with our dog and the water view rooms are perfect with the grassy area for him to exercise after a long ride in the car. We will always stay here on future trips.

Our room was very clean and comfortable. We appreciated that there were dog friendly rooms available and that they had easy access to outside. The housekeeping workers were very nice. The front desk staff (Elijah checked us in) were very efficient, personable & helpful.

We been here before on our 35th Anniversary and again on our 46th. Hotel staff and hotel setting on the Columbia River for this special occasion. Clean room, dining outdoor on the patio (watching the sunset), and the special cheese platter upon our arrival enhanced this day. Hotel was close to the Fruit Loop, wind surfing, and great restaurants nearby. Thank you to the staff for making this another great stay.

Loved the location of Hotel in Hood River !!! Booked 3rd floor riverfront east wing room. Beautiful well kept property with great service and employees. East wing, Executive Level, NO dogs or children. You do not need to leave the property (but you will want to explore what this region has to offer, so wonderful and beautiful... Hotel offers a great restaurant, bar/lounge, indoor or outdoor service. Outdoor pool, fitness center, located on paved riverfront walkway, not sure of how many miles? We had a great experience with this BW Hotel...we have been traveling since 1970's... Thank You, BW Hood River Inn

This place is so lovely. The pool is nice and the view is amazing. The AC in our first room was not working and we were immediately given a new one. The front desk was efficient and the food is amazing. We especially loved breakfast especially the breakfast bowl. We also enjoyed the friendly bar.

River front by the pool, adjacent to freeway, No Sleep: Depends on the location of the room, the executive new building with rooms facing the river, the last rooms 327, 329, 331, 333, 335 (335 is the last corner room with the pool on the right) are very noisy from the busy freeway on the right. After a sleepless night, they moved ask to the first section a room between 301-311 and it was great. Way better. We slept. The hotel location: easy access to hyw 84 Room: clean room, bed is comfortable The single unit AC is slightly loud. We opened the door for ventilation and coolness (depends on weather and temperature). Amenities: coffee maker, does not work properly. Refrigerator is good with proper freezer section. NO WINE GLASSES. Get some from the bar or restaurant. Bathroom: shower has good pressure. Restaurant: the riverside restaurant is amazing. We were looking for a place to stay after a day of driving from crater lake to mt hood. We made it down to good river. Got a room overlooking the river and outdoor porch. It was amazing, relaxing and just what we needed. Breakfast was a bit too adventurous for us as we eat basic food - but you get a $10 coupon at check in if you like the menu. Restaurant at night was good, McDonald's right next door as well! Relaxing night before we hit the road again.

This was the rest area for our trip "To the Beach". We have stayed here previously, the rooms have always been clean and well maintained. What gives this Best Western the advantage over other places to stay is the excellent customer service, the amazing restaurant and the river views from this great location. The prices at the restaurant are high but the food we have tried has been delicious.

This was a lovely hotel. Everything was clean and comfortable. The room had everything we needed. The bed was very comfy. Our room was on the end of the building by the pool, on the ground floor. We had a patio with two chairs. There is a nice path along the river too. We took a nice walk down to a little beach area. The restaurant is top-notch! Everything we had to eat was so good and the service was great! We ate there for two breakfasts. This hotel is convenient to all attractions.

Best Western Plus Hood River Inn Restaurant chefs were amazing!!!!!!!!!!! Best Western in Hood River have had the same chefs for 25+ years and I know why! The locals all recommend and we were not disappointed! Two nights - had dinner there both nights! Fabulous and the wait staff were so kind! Great experience. Will return!! woke up with a bed bug on my neck at midnight. called the front desk and they moved me to a different room, but by that point i was already grossed out. had to throw away all my luggage and clothes as to not contaminate my truck or bring the nasty things home. no offer to refund the room or compensate for damages.

The place was beautiful. The room was the perfect size. Guest robe was a nice touch! Dinner was excellent.

No free breakfast. Disappointing in a Best Western Plus. I guess we'll look at restaurants in town. Otherwise, nice hotel right on the river with views of the bridge (from river view rooms). I'm done with this review but they want me to write 200 characters.

I loved this hotel layout, but the end of the building we stayed in (by the pool). needs some updating.

The location is great for spectacular views. Having stayed here two previous times, I looked forward to having my Hubby along so he could enjoy the view. Unfortunately, we're not as spry as in our younger years. And, my Hubby is frail as he battles cancer. Handicapped parking spaces are not at all convenient to the handicapped entrance. The handicapped entrance, itself, is not particularly convenient. Just getting to the entrance to take an elevator to (hopefully) find a luggage cart, return to the car to unload, trek back to the handicapped entrance and halfway down the length of the building to our room was exhausting for him. Of course, I helped, but it was not an easy job.

Professional service, beautiful view and great family stay! We stayed here for a long wedding weekend and would definitely stay here again. Beautiful view of the Columbia River, well kept grounds, nice friendly restaurant and late night bar. Bartenders know how to make tasty cocktails. Rooms were clean and towels were brought within minutes. There is a pool but we did not go swimming. We were extremely pleased with what the hotel has to offer. We even had a magnificent view of the northern lights during our stay. Hotel is close to so many gorgeous hikes, wineries, falls, Mt. Hood and all the breweries. We lost power for a few hours but it was a town wide shortage. I noticed the restaurant put out a fresh water dispenser / cooler right away for the guests to enjoy. The parking lot seemed secure and there is enough parking available. Starbucks and McDonalds are both within close walking distance. Front desk staff and restaurant servers were all very friendly and helpful. The far right side of the hotel seemed to have air conditioning issues in the hallway. It was uncomfortably warm when walking to this side of the hotel but our family staying in this area had no issues with their air conditioning inside their rooms. The hallway air was eventually fixed. Overall we would stay here again. Beautiful area and if you go to any brewery go to Pfriem.

The surrounding area and this beautiful hotel made our stay memorable and perfect. Rooms were clean and cozy, staff was kind and friendly and having a restaurant with delicious food and lounge on the premises was nice and convenient.

It is a larger hotel but the customer service was excellent! It is right on the river and has so many room options to choose from. The view is absolutely beautiful with the mist rising from the water in the morning. The rooms were clean and exactly what we expected. The amenities were great without being over the top. Excellent value for your money. You can't walk to the downtown area from the hotel but we didn't feel like that was a problem for us. We will definitely stay again!

We were looking forward to our stay at this highly rated hotel. First impressions always set the stage. Check in felt like we were children being told everything we can't do. It felt like a robotic checkin, the clerk rattling off the rules in a very loud voice and speaking so fast my husband and I had to ask her to repeat everything (which she seemed a bit irritated by) She was training another girl and I can only hope she doesn't pick up these unwelcoming habits. Our room was a pet friendly room which we greatly appreciated. It faced the river on the ground floor with easy access to a grass area for our dog. In our check in package we had some vouchers encouraging us to dine at the restaurant and bar which we were happy to get until we read it doesn't include take out or room service. Knowing we have a pet that is not allowed anywhere in the hotel except the room I felt it was a bit cheesy. Why not allow us to take it to our room? Strange….Also in this package it went on AGAIN telling us everything we can't do or everything they can't do. Examples are: “regular housekeeping is not available with exception of Riverside suites” I guess if you aren't good enough for the suites then you aren't treated the same. Covid is LONG over people. “We don't take reservations in our restaurant, room service and to go orders are subject to availability” what does that even mean? No where does it say “THANK YOU for CHOOSING US” it's the strangest “welcome letter” I have ever received. Regardless we went to the restaurant, which was dead. We had some wine and a few snacks. The bartender TJ was hospitable. Now to the biggest disappointment ….there was pet food on the floor when we checked in which was disappointing but not the end of the world. But after being in the room for a short while I found my dog with her nose on a prescription PILL beside the bed. Who knows what the pill was but I immediately picked it up and went back to the front desk. The male seemed apologetic but didn't really know what to say or do. So I guess when you don't know you just simply do nothing. We will not be returning to this hotel. It's unfortunate they have a 2 night minimum otherwise we would have checked out the next day and gone where we were at least treated like “guests”

The hotel is in a beautiful location, right next to the riverfront. This means that you can have a beautiful view from your room or the restaurant. The hotel was nicely maintained. The food in the restaurant was delicious, the drinks in the bar were done well. We had challenges with some of the servers and hostesses in the restaurant attitude. Bar staff was great, as well as the front desk and housekeeping. The Internet here is not so good so be prepared to not be able to utilize it. The parking is also an issue, it was difficult to find parking, I walked everywhere. I possibly could so that I wouldn't lose my spot . The hotel is close to a Starbucks as well as a McDonald's. There is some nearby restaurants if you don't mind a couple mile walk along the riverfront.

The hotel staff was amazing. Giving us recommendations of fun things to do and the taxi cab service since there's no Uber or Lyfts. It's located next to the water and has an AMAZING view.

We really enjoyed this room. Shared it with our adult daughter. Having a separate bedroom was perfect, she didn't have to hear us snore. And we didn't have two get two separate rooms. Perfect! Clean room with a lot of room. The restaurant has good food.

I just dearly love the stay at this hotel. The staff, amenities and restaurant are all and more anyone could ever want for a vacation or business travel.

Stay in executive room rather than all of the hotel rooms near the freeway. Road noise can be a problem. Hotel runs a coupon system where you can get $10 off of a dinner or a breakfast. Hotel is very popular in the dining room is also very popular. This hotel provides a good service at a fair price and it is just about the best place to stay in Hood River.

This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful place. The view rooms with the river outside are unbelievable but the other rooms are nice also. The view of the Washington side is exciting. After a delicious breakfast with eggs and bacon, we drove across the green toll bridge and went to Maryhill Museum. The journey was very scenic. Apart from the Columbia river there are green plateaus and outcroppings of columnar basalt, huge and fantastic. Also lovely yellow flowers like little sunflowers and light green trees, in late March. It was a sunny day. This is just one of the wonderful things to do whilst at Hood River Inn. When we got back we had a very good lunch with clam chowder, broccolini and a glass of wine. Dining room is very pleasant with views of the river. Staff are very nice. Really fantastic place to stay for all ages.

The nicest Best Western I've ever encountered. They definitely put the Plus into this property. Excellent service from the front desk to the server at the restaurant. Everything was spotless and brand new. The ground floor rooms have their own patio leading to the lawn and panoramic river views! What more could you want in a room location.

My husband needed a hotel for a work trip and I decided to tag along. The Best Western was close to the job site, had a great view, a comfortable room, good restaurant and excellent front desk service. We brought our dog & he liked it, too. The shoreline path was perfect for our walks.

Beautiful location, with all the amenities you could want, including a heated pool and hot tub that overlooks the river. Everyone was very accommodating and kind. Rooms are very nice and exceptionally clean and quiet. Would highly recommend!

Most hotel restaurants are sub par. The food is really fine dining, using local goods. Great views from the restaurant of the Columbia River Gorge. I enjoyed the hot tub and pool with a great view of the river. Or room has a great view of the river as well. 5 minute drive to Downtown Hood River, where there are other restaurants, breweries, and wine bars. Mt. Hood Meadows is only 30 minutes for a snow or skiing adventure. It's really close to the bridge connecting White Salmon and Hood River, so there definitely lots of places you can enjoy. The hotel is right on the river walk path, where you can go to the Hood River waterfront up to the Hook for putting in SUP or kayaks.

This is a great location along the scenic byway with easy access to the waterfall corridor and Mount Hood. We selected a room in the "adults only" area and were very pleased with our view and our room. We were given coupons for the breakfast it was absolutely delicious both mornings. Nice view of the river and great service both days. I had some trouble getting computers to work in the office center, but staff came by and got everything working again quickly.

Had a non-view room, which meant no windows to open and extra dry, stale air. Restaurant service in the mornings was hit and miss. One server came up to the table and, without looking up, simply said: “You know what you want?” Worse: I left a bag filled with a kids' board game, crafts, etc. from a local toy store. I called client services as soon as I got home and was told housecleaning would not return anything until the next morning and someone would call me back. No one did. I called the next day and no one returned the bag to the lost and found. I definitely will not be returning.

Nice room, fast check in, great service, great food, great pool/hot tub. Highly recommended. We love this location in Hood River and have an amazing time everytime we stay there. We try to make it to this location at least a few times a year and it being so close to Portland makes it easy. The pet policy is pretty standard and it is really nice to be able to bring our furry son and let him play with some other dogs:)

This Best Western Plus has great rooms and amazing customer service! We stayed as a family and had a great time at the pool and hot tub! Their breakfast and bar are Top Notch with amazing food and service. We needed a late check out and the manager went above and beyond for us. We had a 10 month old with us and without the late checkout I don't know what we would have done. This is our favorite hotel in Hood River! The View from the hotel is another beautiful plus. Thanks so much to the staff for making our 3 nights great.

This hotel is always clean and the breakfast is a great value and YUMMY! We also LOVE the pool, spa and suana...if you get a view room, it's even better! They pay attention to detail and have such lovely decorations during the holidays too.

We have visited this property many times in the past twenty years, and are greatly saddened to witness the decline in the physical plant due to deferred and/or neglected maintenance. Their location on the Columbia River is superb, but with room rates north of $300 nightly, management needs to raise the priority of maintenance and repairs in the budget. The number one priority should be repair of the fire exit doors in the East wing. The "Panic Bar" is missing on the easternmost door of the exit from the inside to the river side outdoors. This door cannot be opened from the inside OR the outside! Other items which detracted from our stay include the lack of a screen door to our patio, a VERY loose patio door handle, a patio concrete bench covered with moss and mold, lack of a clock radio, a rocking toilet loose on the floor with a leaking wax ring, and a misaligned room door bolt strike plate which doesn't permit the door to mate with the weather stripping, so hallway noise enters the room. Although not an issue for us, the tub to wall caulking is failing in our room (121), another example of poor maintenance practices. On the positive side of the ledger, restaurant staff are friendly and restaurant views of the river are great.

We were in town for a wedding. Although the hotel is next to a toll bridge, the room was quiet and did not impact our stay at all. We enjoyed the walking path along the river steps from the hotel. If you are a fit person, you can even take a connecting pathway to downtown. We took advantage of the many outdoor seating areas to enjoy our morning coffee and view of the river. We had a river view room and I highly recommend those. The waitstaff in the restaurant were great, the food was wonderful. The hotel in general was very clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay again.

Loved staying here! Clean and comfortable...spacious room with view of the Columbia River (as requested.) Seemed like a newer place ,however, I was told it was updated. I was in the East building. Popular place. I had a very nice breakfast from a menu at their restaurant...out on the large patio. After staying here I drove down hwy 35 around Mount Hood and back to Portland.

We had a first floor room with a great view and we were able to walk out our door and onto a great walking trail by the river. Hotel was clean and close to several places we visited. The food in restaurant was great but a bit pricey. Would stay here again if in the area.

We booked our pet-friendly (thank you) room because it a) was where we met our son to go fishing from the hotel dock and b) faced the river, on the same level as the ramp to the dock and close to the ramp. While I realize there is value to both, and while the hotel itself is well-kept with a caring staff, the $600 price tag for just two nights was an unwelcome hit...Still, as we sat on our patio and watched the river, boats and ships go by with our Corgi dozing between us after fishing with our son, we managed to feel like it was mostly worth whatever price we had to pay, even on fixed incomes.

Super place!! Restaurant was great both for dinner and complimentary breakfast. Outdoor pool was heated enough to enjoy. Great view of the river. All in all, would recommend this hotel. We will definitely stay here again.

A very nice hotel seated right on the Columbia River. Very clean. Grounds are expertly maintained and beautiful. There is plenty of parking with easy access to the hotel. The counter person at check-in and check-out was very knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating, and professional. Our room was amazing looking right out at Washington State and the Columbia River. Everything was modern, clean and well appointed. Our wait people at the restaurant and bar were very friendly. We did not wait long at all for drinks or food. The food was delicious! Having a view of the river was icing amazing !

My husband and I stayed here one night on our trip to the Pacific Northwest. The hotel is very comfortable with a beautiful view of the Columbia River from the rooms with a balcony. It seemed to be a very popular place when we were there. Our room was on the top floor with a balcony overlooking the river. We very much enjoyed sitting on the balcony. Breakfast is not included in the room price, but we ate in the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. Both meals were good and we would recommend the restaurant to avoid the hassle of driving back into Hood River where traffic can be a problem. We did not use the pool, but the people in the pool looked like they were enjoying it. Between the hotel and the river there is a nice lawn area which is good for children to play. The hotel is on a walkway that extends into the town so you can get as much exercise on it as you would like.

Great 2 night stay at end of hiking holiday. Very busy popular hotel right on the river room had river view and balcony and was spectacular uncluttered comfortable accommodation. Pool on the river was amazing as was the riverside restaurant. Free parking with easy access to footpath to waterfront or town centre all really walkable. Cheerful pleasant staff who made our stay comfortable and welcoming thank you for all your hard work.

The river view rooms are nice, but there were small things that should have been fixed lest one leaves with a poor impression of lack of maintenance. Beds are fine, but towels were pathetically thin and need to be replaced. Breakfast in the cafe is excellent and fresh, the highlight.

I've always had really good luck with Best Western Plus locations. This one was no different. The staff was friendly, the room very clean and comfortable. It was quiet. It had everything I could ask for. We checked in at about 4:30 and got a top floor, river view room. The room has a little balcony so you could look out at the river, with a couple chairs and a little table. It was nice to stand out there and look at the scenery. We were a bit tired that day and went down and sat in the hot tub for a while and dipped into the pool a bit. We enjoyed the lounge chairs for a while to dry off. It felt good on our tired feet. We also walked the River Trail that goes past the hotel, under the bridge and to the marina. It was very nice. We received a slip for $10 off per person for the onsite restaurant and chose to use them for breakfast in the morning (very good!). This hotel was in an excellent location and I recommend it if you are in the area.

This was my first time staying at a Best Western and I had low expectations. The property was beautiful, clean and well kept, the views were incredible, the entire staff was friendly and welcoming and the restaurant was decent! My only qualm is the interiors are just a tad dated and there was no safe in our room.

PROS -free parking and lots of parking -friendly front desk -good sized rooms CONS -OVER PRICED tourist trap- our room was $300 on 1st floor with view to parking lot -terrible cheap towels- little too -chinsy bed covering -way too soft pillows -outdated furniture -no wine glasses in the room and when we went to the bar we got cheap Dollar Store glasses It's a shame, a $300 dollar per night room is so lousy. I'd not recommend nor will we stay here again.

I found the BWHood River Inn seven years ago. I've been back every summer since for a few days R&R. Great staff, views, rooms, restaurant with views, fantastic pool and hot tub by river. Clean and comfy rooms (I always get Executive King, so I can sit in the balcony.) The pool area is a great place, outdoors by the river, to lounge around. A little beach next to it if you want to swim in the river or lay on the beach. Restaurant has lots of outdoor dining, great food. Owners/management obviously care about both guests and staff. Staff are friendly, happy, accommodating. I just retired from teaching. I'm an amateur NW historian, always looking for cool places to stay in the NW, and I've been to many. There are lots of great places but the BW Hood River Inn is my favorite!

More like a resort rather than an everyday Best Western motel. I have travel for my job for nearly 40 years. I love BestWestern. I stay with them all over the Pacific Northwest. This is by far the best of the best! Great location, great rooms, over the top service and outrageous restraunt & bar.

Great hotel with stunning views of the Columbia River. The rooms were nice and breakfast was delicious - would come back just for that - and the views! The vouchers to the restaurant are really a plus. Front desk staff was very helpful. Lots of room options to choose from.

This is a beautiful location on the Columbia River with large clean rooms, and an excellent dinning room. We had and excellent dinner in the dinning room. The swimming pool was a little warm, however it was 107 degrees outside.

Questioning whether to bring your dog this time? Stop asking and DO IT! They treat your pets as priority guests with accommodating rooms, pet areas, and a welcome bag. This trip was the highlight of his year.

We travel to the Oregon coast several times each year, and this hotel in Hood River has become our favorite stop along the way, going and coming. The exceptional front desk staff starts our stay in such a positive way. Kerry is a joy! Staff at check out makes us sorry to be leaving. I think it was Maria who was so wonderful last week. Jessica does a super job as Manager. And thank you for the upgrade to the River View Deluxe. We felt extra special. The rooms are clean and comfortable with excellent Wi-Fi. After being upgraded to an Executive room several months ago, this has become our accommodation of choice! We love the walk-in shower and fluffy towels. Housekeeping staff is always so friendly. The Riverside restaurant is incredible! We especially like the baked oatmeal for breakfast. Great 8-grain toast, terrific bacon. Pasta for dinner is wonderful. And the peach salad….wow! Always a great stay!

We usually stay downtown in Hood River but tried this BW so we had the outdoor pool. It overlooked the river and we loved swimming that day and enjoying coffee in the hot tub the next morning. The restaurant was excellent and we had some of the best food we've had in Hood River. It's unfortunate that the air conditioning units are so loud as it disrupted our sleep. Everything else good!

As part of a long road trip, we recently spent three nights at this wonderful hotel. This property is very well maintained, inside and out. The location is fabulous! It is convenient to downtown, restaurants and everything along the Columbia River Gorge as well as the Mt. Hood area. We had a river view room on the 1st floor in the West Wing with two queen beds, two comfortable chairs and a table, microwave and refrigerator. We also had a patio with two chairs and a small table. From the patio you could access the grass area and walk along the river. The view was spectacular. We could see the bridge in one direction and a beautiful view of the river in the other direction. The patio is very large, but it is shared with the room next door with no divider, which I wasn't crazy about, but it was still great. The hotel is pet friendly and a sidewalk all along the river for dog walking; also, lots of grass areas. There is a restaurant on site (pretty pricey) but the food was very good, at least for breakfast which is the only time we ate there. The customer service is great. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, and I highly recommend it when visiting Hood River.

First time staying in Hood River Inn. Great location with nice big room and restaurant. Many amenities that we didn't have to enjoy like the pool and gym. There is a nice river walk too with kayak rentals, etc.

What a wonderful hotel, location, and value! We brought our dog and appreciated that the pet-friendly room was on the ground floor with a slider leading outside. They provided a nice doggie treat bag. The room was comfy and quiet. We wish we had more time to explore the lovely "Shoreline Path" that's along the river. The views are gorgeous! We took advantage of the breakfast vouchers and dined in the restaurant (again, with gorgeous views of the river). Breakfast was DELICIOUS. There can be a bit of a wait, so try to go early.

My stay was delightful! All the staff I interacted with on the property were nice and very helpful. My room was comfy, clean, and well maintauned. The food and service at the restaurant and bar was outstanding.

The hotel offered excellent vegan options in their restaurant. We really enjoyed the vegan breakfast options. The location is also amazing, right on the Columbia River with gorgeous views of the Gorge.

This is not your average Best Western. When you walk into the reception/lobby area of the hotel you are greeted with local art and elegance. Community spaces are designed so beautifully with more local art, local food and wine and upscale furnishings. Their condominium suite building is the best kept secret in the Gorge. The setting of the property on the Columbia River inspires many gorgeous views, sunrise to sunset. And their indoor/outdoor restaurant bar and patios allows plenty of opportunities to enjoy this wonderful setting.

The staff, room, amenities, breakfast and overall experience at this affordable hotel are top notch! The hot tub on the Columbia River is a huge bonus. I live an hour away from it and frequently book a room for a quick getaway.

Very nice large rooms. Great pet rooms and pet area. On check in we received dog food and dog treats for our pet. The next morning we received a breakfast credit for each guest. Breakfast was first rate and service was excellent. GREAT views from our room and restaurant.

We love that the hotel is right on the river and so close to town. Plus the hotel and hot tub are fantastic after a day of skiing. The sit down breakfast has healthy options and has great river views. Bonuis that it is along the two mile river trail. Perfect for a morning run.

I stayed with my spouse at this hotel. While busy, it was quiet and serene. Clean room and comfortable beds. We enjoyed the lounge, restaurant and river walk. Close to an abundance of Gorge activities.

I loved the location of the sizeable inn. There was a great view of the snowy mountains and the lake. The room we stayed in could use an upgrade in terms of the plumbing, window unit and mattress. The front desk staff was very friendly and satisfactorily addressed our concerns about the room. There was a clean and tidy fitness room there. My favorites were the outdoors heated pool and jacuzzi tub. We were given $10 breakfast discounts, but for the price we paid for the rooms I thought breakfast should be included. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I would recommend staying there.

We had such a wonderful stay! Raquel and her staff were so incredibly helpful. Our family and friends that are locals to Hood River were all sick over a weekend we were supposed to be visiting/staying with them. What felt rushed and worried me, of how to carry on our scheduled plans, became one of our most exciting and fun trips to hood river. Raquel eased my mind with an effortless (on my end) quick booking of a room. We were kindly and complimentary upgraded at arrival, huuuge excitement and sounds coming from both kids (and myself!) Wow, a huge thank you!! A delicious and fabulous breakfast at a hugely discounted rate was incredible. Chef Mark ALWAYS has mouthwatering dishes to chose from. All 3 of us left breakfast full and indulged. The amenities offered far exceed those of other establishments. The heated pool was the icing on top for my children. We stayed warm and splashed around on one of the coldest evenings ever (it was snowing earlier that day!). All in all, we had a fantastic stay and felt warm and welcome by all staff on site! We look forward to another visit/stay!

This hotel is our happy place for my three daughters and me. I have been in this hotel on different occasions, but anytime that we have the opportunity to have a getaway weekend , our first option is this hotel at Hood River. It's not just the beautiful hotel with an amazing location and breathtaking views. Is also the staff and the kindness and attention they put on their guests. They made you feel welcome and comfortable. The food is amazing and I have never tried better chilaquiles for breakfast, the pastas and everything is delicious, again the staff at the restaurant remembers my family every time we were there, and treated us so good. I also want to mention staff Flor who always has a beautiful smile for us and take the time to welcomed us when she sees my family and me. She asked us if we need anything and she made us feel special. Well.. I just have good thing to say about this hotel and the staff. Highly recommend for create memories, enjoy the pool and hut tub at any season, relax with the awesome views, eat delicious food and find a happy place when you need to forget the busy life. By the way the Hood River downtown is beautiful with different cute stores and restaurants. Thank you!

At every corner there was broken items. To the entrance to the building, we were into the beat-up hotel door. The rooms paint was chipping the A/C unit was loud and out of date along with the vending machines not even working. There was just one thing after another with the building. The elevator even sounded like it was going to break when you are using it.

Fantastic location, right next to Starbucks! View is incredible. Nice dog walk, if only owners would clean up after dogs!! Nice staff. A little dated, could use a remodel. Pool, hot tub and decent work out area. Food is very good too.

Every time I'm in HR for business this is the hotel I choose to stay. Rooms are clean. Beds comfortable and their restaurant is amazing. I want to give a special shout out to Flor who is always welcoming and making sure my stay is pleasant. Thank you Flor!!

Nice room and great view. amazing breakfast and lovely wait staff. I would say that the two times i have stayed here, the cleaners started vacumming at 8am in the hallway- not good if you are trying to sleep in on a Saturday am. Also, only paper cups available in the room- no glass. this is a little bit cheap to me, also each paper cup is wrapped in plastic- bad for the environment.

Perfect location and checks all the appropriate boxes when you are looking for a place to stay for work or pleasure. Clean, comfortable and courteous customer service. I highly recommend this location. I work for one of the wineries in Washington and run our McMinnville location so when I have to come out for work I know I will be taken care of and centrally located for the Winery across the bridge and enjoy one of my favorite places - Hood River at the same time. Highly recommend Kickstand cafe. Fantastic food, customer service and a perfect spot for a informal meeting.

If you're looking for a hotel to spend one night or two without any extra expectations....this is the place for you. You can to town if you like...about 20-25 min COVID makes everything different so I'm cutting them some slack. Good food and good location . Clean and courteous

This is not just a good movie title, it perfectly describes the amazing views from the Best Western Plus in Hood River. Watching the river activity and beautiful landscape outside your window is a real treat - plus we got to see an eagle hunting for his breakfast - which was fascinating. At night, we sat by the windows with a glass of wine and watched the lights in the houses on the hill and the never ending traffic of the lit bridge between OR and WA. The whole experience was very "Zen", just what we were looking for. And the food in the restaurant was incredible. We had several meals there and you may wonder why I chose the soup and sandwich to talk about here....but seriously, get the tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich. We could only eat 1/2 the sandwich, but we of course took the rest with us. This classic comfort food is so elevated at BWP - you may ask for the soup recipe and try to copy the extraordinary sandwich! I won't say more - just try it!

We enjoyed this Best Western Plus. Everything you could want in a hotel. Rooms were clean a well appointed. Loved the sauna and hot tub! And the restaurant was a very pleasant surprise. Every meal was had was outstanding!

The property is very clean, the staff friendly and attentive. We were welcomed by a friendly face at the front desk who seemed to genuinely care about our comfort. The wait staff went out of their way to make us all feel valued. We had a great conference.

I was very pleasantly surprised by how vegan friendly the hotel was. Large mini fridge and microwave in each room was a big plus, but I didn't even need them it turned out because the restaurant had GREAT vegan options and several of them!! Views are great too!!

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at the Best Western Plus in Hood River. We were greeted at registration by a very friendly and helpful young man named Brian. He told us where everything was and made us feel at home. We had dinner after we unpacked at the hotel restaurant, and the food was delicious. Best Western Plus Hood River Inn has never disappointed me. I've been staying there every year for over a decade (usually for multiple days at a time), and it's my very favorite hotel. The location is stellar, their amenities are the best, and the food.....oh geez, so fantastic! Gluten free and vegan options in the restaurant as well. The staff are always so friendly. I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you like parking your car and not driving the rest of your trip. Town is just a short river walk away, and there are a ton of shops and restaurants nearby. Plus the lovely Columbia River is steps outside your door.

This hotel is in beautiful location with the river and the bridge view. Our king room has a walk in shower and 2 sinks. Clean, nice room. Bar/lounge is nice and big. Restaurant is nice and big with outside seating. Our breakfast and dinner were all good.

This location rivals 5 star hotels that I have visited. Gorgeous amenities. Perfect location with unbeatable views along the Columbia River. Excellent onsite bar/ restaurant. Peloton bikes in the well-appointed fitness center. Room was exceptional in every way…loved the cozy bedding and the second separate vanity area. I HIGHLY recommend!

Our room was very nice, the views of the Columbia River Gorge was really breath taking and peaceful. We enjoyed the bench on the patio outside our room and the night views are even better. Comfy bed, would recommend.

I've stayed here a couple of times now and will stay here again. Great place to stay, great place for traveling with your fur baby as they are very dog friendly. Pool is awesome, right on the Columbia River as well as the restaurant.

We had a room on the top floor, overlooking the bridge and river, wonderful view. It had a really good size frig for left overs, drinks and treats. Two sinks in the bathroom was appreciated as well. The chef in the dining room as outstanding, and the wait staff knew their menu and were very helpful in getting us exactly what we wanted. We go out of our way to stay at the Hood River Inn as much as we can.

Enjoyed my stay, had a great view of the Columbia River as well as a nice walkway along the river. It also had one of the most comfy mattresses I've ever had in a hotel. The restaurant had a nice selection and also had a wonderful view of the river.

If not for scarcity they couldn't justify more than $100 a night for this hotel. You'll find yourself being limited to this place because of the amount of rooms available in Hood River, but if at all possible don't go. You will be supremely disappointed by the accommodations. In our 2 stays the rooms felt like a dingy, clammy cellar. Come for the restaurant, dodge the hotel like the plague. Maybe they have some newer rooms upstairs, I don't know - there has to be some appeal that I'm not seeing. But do not stay here unless you have to, and even then reconsider.

We just had time to do one night away to celebrate our anniversary so decided to visit hood river. The hotel is huge and at the time was hosting a nursing conference and a wedding - on a Thursday! Despite how busy it was check in was quick and there was parking available. We stayed in the east wing in room 329. Highly recommend getting a room with a river view! It had a private balcony and the view was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and the room nice, clean and quiet. We ended up deciding to eat at the hotel restaurant for dinner and it did NOT disappoint! The restaurant is extremely classy and had amazing views of the river. We sat outside on the deck with the fire tables which was perfect. The beer list was long and full of local brews which was perfect. The servers were friendly and it was nice we could just walk back to our room afterwards. Lastly the breakfast at this hotel is unbeatable!! Instead of the normal buffet of eggs, sausage and yogurt - here they have sit down breakfast included in your stay. And the food is phenomenal! We had salmon eggs Benedict and peach French toast. All included. Just remember to tip your server. :) By far one of our all time favorite best westerns in Oregon.

We travel with with our 2 small dogs. This has been perhaps the most pet friendly hotel we've ever visited. It was nice to have the option to let them stay in our room while we had dinner in the restaurant.

Wow, what a view of Washington and the Columbia river. The only thing between the rooms and the river is an awesome river trail that goes on several miles . We ended up going to their on soft restaurant and Wow, very nice menu with plenty to please everyone. I'm glad the original hotel we were going to stay at was full-we found a gem❤️

The hotel is quite conveniently located both to I-84 and Hood River and Columbia River Bridge (note, to get into town, one needs a car). It's staff were most helpful and friendly. The Riverside Restaurant was very good for breakfast. Grounds and location along the River and the view of the Columbia Gorge at least from River view rooms is quite spectacular. The hotel is quite busy, although such was not noticeable during our stay. Where this is noticeable finding a parking space near the hotel at night and for handling suitcases. However, there is plenty of parking. There were a few items of lesser note. First, and this happened at a high end hotel, the toilets are not comfort (ADA) height. They reminded us of an elementary school. Second both the closet and screen doors were off track. This should have been caught at room change. Also, especially the elevator door need some repainting. We could not judge how well room servicing was ( problem lies with inability to get enough help which is being shared with other service industries). It will be worth a return visit.

The riverwalk at the hotel is a short hike from the marina. You could literally park your boat at the marina and walk to the hotel either along the road or along the river. The park around the marina is huge and well kept.

Lovely view and avocado toast and chorizo eggs were delicious for our breakfast. This hotel location has always had everything one could hope for in walkability to town and lovely views of the Gorge. Unfortunately the area is the definition of noise pollution and its inescapable. I have come here for decades and now realize the dream is gone. It has been overwhelmed by noise and vibrations that make it impossible to enjoy the area from just about anywhere now. People there need to wake up to this and complain to the city council. The trucks, trains, cars echo all around. Hood River ain't what it used to be in so many ways.

We paid over $400.00 a night for a king room with river view. The rooms have just the basics, nothing special , need updating. Our room was also very loud at night since the hotel is right off the hwy. Wanted to just stay one night but there was a 2 night minimum, we would have left because of the noise. Dinner at the restaurant was nice, we ate out on the patio overlooking the river.

found hair on my bathroom floor. my fridge was not working. my lights in the bathroom were out and also the lights by the mirror/microwave were out as well. i asked staff specifically 3 times after my first night there and then again on the 2nd night there about fixing my lights and fridge and she (same girl every time) the third time a gentleman was there to witness this) and said that it was on the maintenance list. and nothing!! so upset about this. i had a very hard time seeing in my room to get ready. i had to look up directly at the heat light with a mirror to put on my makeup. not an easy task. also, on my last night there i turned on the faucet and it leaked at the middle portion where it swivels and all my contents had soaked with water that was all over the counter and the floor. my bag and all contents were SOAKED!! i also had a giant spider crawl on my blanket before i went to bed. i killed it on my comforter. you need to spray for pests. that was gross! so dis-satisfied about my hotel experience. and your bar taking credit cards was down, so i coulndnt even eat at your hotel or bar because i dont have cash on hand.

Stayed here for the 2nd time because everything is wonderful. The rooms are clean, staff are kind and efficient, food and drinks in the restaurant lounge are delicious, and the river view rooms are super convenient for people traveling with dogs. The beds and pillows are super comfy and the room is well furnished. It was a bit pricey but we stayed on a holiday weekend, so it is what it is :).

The Best Western plus at Hood River, is located on the shore of the Columbia river offering amazing views of the Gorge. Conveniently located next to the town of Hood River a 15 minutes walk takes you to town. The hotel has all amenities of a resort. The staff is very friendly always ready to accommodate any request. We had breakfast at their restaurant every day and we loved it. Also we had dinner and the food was superb. This was our second time there and we will return.

This is simply a lovely place to stay anytime of the year. The plant-based/vegan dining options are so good, that we stop here to eat when we're traveling on I-84 even if we're not staying the night. The service is good, the rooms with a patio on the river side are great. The fitness center is very nice.

This location is perfect. I felt safe there from vehicular theft and such. The hotel is nice. It needs some updates to make the price more reasonable. The patio door is so old and heavy. No fan in bathroom. Air conditioner is old and loud and barely works.

This is a great place to stay. We booked a room on the third floor which was a no children-no pet floor. Being a light sleeper, a quiet room is appreciated, but seldom happens when traveling. We did not hear any noise from either of the rooms next to us. The balcony with a view over the river was a favorite sitting spot after a long day exploring. Two sinks in the bathroom was unexpected plus the walk-in shower had terrific pressure. Parking is free with plenty of spaces. We ate at the resort restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Great way to start and finish the day plus the view is spectacular. Mistie at reception was especially friendly and helpful. Of note, there is a Starbuck's and McDonald practically in the parking lot.

Beautiful views, great outdoor pool and hot tub outdoor and indoor. The restaurant was delightful with wonderful food and service. It a great place to go with your dog with a long expanse of grass and a walking path along the river.

Great location, great location, great location! Right on the Columbia River! Great restaurant and pool area. Super nice staff. Hotel is worn and needs attention. It needs some serious upgrading at least in the rooms. The outside deck areas need cleaning. Love the hotel design but the concrete needs cleaning, carpet needs replacing, etc. Love the local art hanging in the hotel. The security is lax. We were able to enter the hotel through side doors without a room key. Love that we were treated to a yoga class in the pool area. Instructor so nice and invited us to join in even though we were a little late. Felt great afterwards! We brought our bikes and rode the historic Columbia River trail and found waterfalls, tunnels and orchards, Hotel is on a trail along the riverfront, so easy to stroll along anytime you want. Definitely want to come back to discover more. Great area! Hood River is also a super nice town to hang out in. The only drawback was we stayed in a pet friendly room which reeked of pet urine. I contacted the front desk three times to come have them do things to help with the odor. I had them remove one of the chairs and replace the bed skirt and leave air freshener, after that the room was tolerable.

We loved our stay at this Best Western. Highlights were our room on the first floor looking out on the river and the wonderful breakfasts we had at the riverside dining room overlooking the water. We appreciated the $10 off coupon per person at the breakfast restaurant. Lovely location!

A lovely place from which to explore the area and to celebrate a ocassion with a change of scenery from Portland. We loved watching the river traffic and enjoyed two excellent meals at the Riverside Restaurant, where the service was very friendly.

I spent a week on the road traveling on motorcycle all over Oregon and this hotel is hands down ,the nicest one of them all...Great staff,fantastic location,great pool and hot tub,best food I had all trip at the in house restaurant and a wonderful riverside room with an exceptionally comfortable bed.Worth it.

This hotel is right at a fantastic location in town. The pool is second to none and I always like taking a dip and watcing the barge traffic on the river. Breakfast is always on point and again the view is second to none.

We love this place and stay every summer. Staff is friendly, restaurant is good, views are amazing, love the pool. They do have some dog friendly rooms and they don't smell. The rooms are very clean and you can tell the staff has a sense of pride about the place. We love the heated pool in the off season.

The location on the river was exceptional. The staff was able to let us check in early. The pool and hot tub are gorgeous and well cared for. The room was clean and spacious. We enjoyed the food at the restaurant, which had some unique options and everything was tasty! $10 off per adult for breakfast made it almost free - but the service was slow, which was understandable since there is such a staffing shortage everywhere nationwide. Housekeeping shortages meant rooms are only cleaned daily by request (which was fine by me, but I wanted to note for those who might care about that). We went to a rehearsal dinner here as well and the food and room were great. It was a great home base for a weekend wedding trip.

We returned to Best Western Hood River Inn because of great service and a wonderful breakfast and the patio for breakfast, dinner, drinks…all of it. This is almost impossible and even very hard to duplicate anywhere.

My husband and I visit Hood River almost every year for the past 8 years. We love to stay at the Best Western. It's relaxing, clean, friendly and easy going. The restaurant patio is wonderful. We love the view and the service and food is typically exceptional. This year we were on the 3rd floor with a view of the Columbia , added bonus, the 3rd floor is 21 and over ! This is FANTASTIC . We understand families need to vacation also but nothing is more annoying then listening to a bunch of kids with free range running the halls at all hours of the day while your trying to relax ! The gym is clean and has all you need to get your workout in while you are on vacation. I had it all to myself ! The pool is wonderful - bring your own beverages , as they don't have a pool bar , which means you won't have a bar tab that is higher than your room fee. :) We love this property and I highly recommend it !

The river view rooms have a gorgeous view of the Columbia River. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff was all incredibly friendly and kind. The pool was warm and had a great view of the river. We had breakfast at the restaurant on our last morning and it was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the French toast with pears. I wish we had gone there more than once during our stay. I would highly recommend staying here and look forward to returning!

This is a classy, clean facility. However, the restaurant is very upscale and expensive. We would have like just a BLT sandwich option, but not available. The staff are all excellent and very helpful. Cleaning persons are very accommodating.

If you need to stay in Hood River ...this is the only place to hang your hat!! Rooms are always clean - requests a view of the river room = the only way to go. Fabulous pool/spa that you feel like you are on the Columbia River.

Very satisfied! Spectacular view of the river, outdoor pool was so perfect for the warm summer weekend, breakfast was quality with beautiful views, river walking path, nice bars on site. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.

This hotel stay was meant to just be a pleasant overnight. It turned out to be so much more. It's a lovely hotel with beautiful views of the Columbia River. The restaurant and lounge are amazing with wonderful food and gorgeous views, especially from the outdoor deck. This is really more like a resort, a destination in itself, especially in gorgeous Hood River. We came for the Lavender and Cherry Festivals, and will definitely return. We will be back!

Very clean and relaxing hotel. Probably the best Best Western I've ever stayed at. Staff was fantastic. Our view of the Columbia was truly memorable. We did not visit the restaurant but it seemed to be doing a good business as well. The adjacent river walk path is worth checking out.

This is one of our favorite hotels. The views are incredible, the staff is very helpful and friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the pool is great for our kids. It's part of our regular rotation for family get aways.

Spent a week here and couldn't have asked for better accommodations. The room we had overlooked the Columbia River and the views were absolutely beautiful. Room, itself, was spacious with a frig and microwave. Room was clean and well-maintained. Particularly handy to have a laundry room and that, too, was tidy and clean. At times, internet was spotty, but it never was a big issue. Would definitively recommend this hotel.

As always, the staff is fantastic, the room is clean and comfortable. We usually get a river side room, which is absolutely beautiful. Dinner is superb and way more than we can eat, great for lunch the next day. Breakfast options are great.

On a Backroads trip riding along the Columbia River 30mile hilly day. Ready for a shower and a beer.Easy check-in, quickly in room great view, very comfortable, staff very efficient and helpful with advice. Great to eat on deck overlooking the river, able to have coffee throughout the day,, great breakfast menu and ready at 7 AM.Evening food was very good, Final comments-great location, staff, food and bar, and good value.

We have stayed, over the years, at several Best Western hotels, but this one property needs quite a few upgrades in most areas (besides, our so-called Executive Room was minuscule). It is actually easier to point out what we did like: the employees, who were mostly lovely and courteous. Flor, in particular, went above and beyond.

I have stayed the Best Western Hood River Inn many times each year for over a decade and have never been disappointed. The staff acts and delivers service like "family," with expertise, a smile and endless patience. The views and grounds are breathtaking - and the property raises the bar for a Columbia Gorge experience

The staff were outstanding - friendly and happy to engage with travellers. The rooms modern and spacious . Unfortunately, the breakfast was disappointing. There was no juice both mornings and healthy choices were minimal. It is a short walk to the action of the main street.

We stayed one night, midweek, asked for a quiet room. The manager was accommodating and put us on the top floor of the west wing. Unfortunately, the bridge crossing the Columbia River was right there, incredibly noisy. We tried to sit on the balcony but we couldn't hear each other without shouting. The breakfast was good. The mattress wasn't great, woke with a backache. Not a great experience overall.

On previous visits to Hood River we knew we wanted to stay in a central location, ideally with a view of the majestic Columbia River Gorge. The Best Western Plus Hood River Inn was located in a great place, close to downtown shopping, the beautiful river and a short drive from the Fruit Loop. Service was very good on a very busy visit, with a large convention meeting nearby. Our room was nicely appointed and had a view of the river, with one exception. The bushes outside the sliding door to a small patio had grown so large it was not possible to really see the view from the room. Worse, it was not possible to walk out of the patio onto the adjacent lawn, so the benefit of having a view room was substantially reduced. The landscaping crew needs to cut back those overgrown bushes outside the view rooms on the first floor. Otherwise we had a very pleasant stay. A bonus is that just behind the inn there is a very pleasant walking path that winds all the way over to the nearby marina and on to a park.

I love staying at the Best Western Plus in Hood River, Oregon. I travel to the area every week for work. The front desk is top notch, especially Kerry Smart! Kerry is the GOAT! This hotel has a great team. If you haven't stayed here, do it! You're going to enjoy it. The perfect combination of professional and warm to make a person feel cared for and special. I also love the Riverside restaurant located at the hotel. It's good food in a fancy atmosphere. Such a nice way to start and end the day.

The one night stay was great. Check in was easy, the room was clean (except for the areas around the door handles and I talked to the front desk about it). It was quiet (even on the highway side). Best of all, the attached restaurant and bar were really good. The bartender was really creative and a good people person. Dinner was good (not great because the fried calamari was undercooked). Breakfast was super creative and yummy! We'll be back.

We have been to Hood River many times and usually stay in a Airbnb...However, we spontaneously decided to stay overnight in Hood River and found a great room available at the Best Western for a great price. We were pleasantly surprised by amazing service and a beautiful facility.

This hotel has a great reputation I heard about and it met all my expectations Rooms very comfortable food great and staff very friendly. The pathway to town is worth walking, it is along the marina, and traffic free. It brings you to the bridges over the freeway right to town.

The staff are warm and welcoming! The rooms are clean! Pool and hot tub are fabulous! The restaurant is lovely and the menu original and well-sourced. The long walking path along the river is lovely! The location is perfect for a 3-minute drive to the waterfront park or to the pleasant little downtown Hood River, and only 10-minutes through the orchards to the Aero and Auto Museum, finishing with wine tasting at any of the many vineyards nearby. In my opinion, the Best Western Plus Hood River Inn not only rivals Skamania Lodge (which truly is VERY nice), but makes you feel more "at home" away from home. This is our new "go to" on the Columbia River! We LOVED it and we hope that you do, too! Try it! You'll like it! Enjoy!

Located right on the Columbia River. Front desk staff exceptionally congenial and helpful. The restaurant manager Luis, a sensitive, thoughtful employee who LISTENS. The MUZAK in the morning coffee foyer was DREADFUL. I asked if the muzak could be switched to something more peaceful and meditative since the foyer looks out directly onto the Columbia River through a thin grove of aspen. He was hesitant at first but switched to soft jazz, low volume. He made my morning! I must say, in my experience, managers refuse to adjust the music, so this was a dream come true. We are a noisy, intense culture and need these respites. Thank you Luis.

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at this hotel. We have always reserved a river view suite. It is so nice to sit on the balcony and see the beautiful river. The hotel is very clean and the staff is helpful. At check in your are given a $10 coupon for breakfast. We ate in the restaurant one time and the food was delicious. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Our bike was stolen from our car rack in the parking lot - cut the 1/2 cable lock - take precautions!! Other than this the front desk was nice, especially the trainee! She remembered my name every time she saw me! The restaurant is good with nice view of the river. Try the pear French toast.

I have a pet and I am also in a wheelchair. They do have an ADA room that is pet friendly, but it wasn't available at the time. The room we had was nice enough with a patio out front over looking the river and bridge to the West. Worked for the evening.

This is a very nice Best Western. The rooms are clean and generously sized. The first floor room I stayed in had a sliding glass door out to a walk way by the river. Beautiful view of the river. Staff are friendly. This Best Western offered a $10 coupon toward breakfast per adult (and/or child) staying in the room at their restaurant. The menu options were excellent.

Beautiful view of the Columbia River, great service from ALL STAFFING, ate dinner in the lounge/ restaurant and the food was very delicious. Beds & room were very comfortable, and clean. Overall 10/10

The river view from every room is wonderful. Saw lots of birds. Enjoyed the river walkway. Immaculate room. The food is fabulous; we thought both dinner and breakfast were exceptional. We intend to stay here every time we drive in the area, which will be frequent with familly in Washington and Utah.

We have stayed at this location multiple times. The rooms are always comfortable and immaculately clean. It is a busy motel but the walls are well-insulated so our rooms have been quiet. Lovely access out of the ground floor on to trails along the river. Perfect place to stay if you enjoy walking along the river. Parking in Hood River is a challenge. It is great to be able to stay at the motel for excellent food instead of trying to find good food in town and not have that challenge to find parking.

Such a wonderful stay! I was just passing through, needed a dog friendly room on my route and the pictures of the property sealed the deal. Once there, I was thrilled by the excellent condition of the property, friendly staff at both the Front Desk and restaurant. The room was clean, bed was comfy and the grass and sidewalk areas were gorgeous.

The employees at this Best Western are friendly and customer service oriented. We needed a little help with some TV problems and the staff was quick and happy to help. We want to give a big thank You to Fler for her exceptional service!

We absolutely love coming here! I think this is our 6th trip! And we have the most phenomenal time EVERY time! We take our pups, and have a ground floor with a view! Great choice for a family get together with grandchildren and a dog. Needed a pet friendly room. The location of the room and view from the room was very nice however the smell when you walked in made it pretty obvious that it was a pet friendly room. The dog treats on check in we're very sweet. We have enjoyed staying at this hotel many times. I would only suggest they give the pet friendly rooms a little more care/cleaning.

Great mid-century modern style hotel in Hood River right on the Columbia. Extremely dog friendly with ground floor rooms that open up onto the grass and provide easy access to pathways. Love that they provide us with bag of treats for our dog too. The views are fantastic and the discount for breakfast is a big plus.

We stopped at this nest western because we trust this chain. It seemed a bit steep in price. As we checked in at 8pm. $161 seems a bit much just to sleep. However we did receive a $20 breakfast voucher. Our t.v. had no signal so no t.v. The next morning I spoke with manager. We recived free breakfast. Menu was very limited in mu oppinion. Not dissatisfied. Just a bit disappointed over all. I will still stick with Best Westerns as they are very consistent.

The room design was tasteful, bath was plain and family style. The bed was okay. The in room heater was constantly cycling on and off, which interrupted sleep. Had a room near the pool and there were no issues with noise. Dog enjoyed walking down the long, wide hallways; was reminded of a long boat. The restaurant was comfortable and the staff was efficient. High prices, yet large portions of country club style food. Get the pork or chicken, let someone else try the pasta. Limited interactions with the front desk went fine. General safe feeling in the immediate area. Walk to fast food. Open air parking. As of April ‘22, the river front sidewalk is in excellent condition and suitable for those with unsure footing. Wear a sweater. The park with the grass and sand beach- that's a 20 minute walk.

Great service from staff- nice gym, sauna, hot tub and pool. There is only one treadmill unfortunately, and no pull up bars, but this is a small critique personally. Great view, affordable rate compared to the Airbnbs. Will gladly visit again.

Nice family friendly hotel in Hood River. Good location and friendly staff. Had a 2 queen room and really no big complaints. Though the bathroom door was squeaky but some grease would fix it right up. Not the best beds, a little stuff, but not the worst.

We spent four nights here for a Spring Break vacation. Me, hubby & 7 y.o. Hubby and I had visited about 8 years prior and loved the location. Well guess what? The location is still AMAZING!! It's right on the Columbia River, so many rooms have fantastic views. Even the non-view rooms have quick and direct access to the Columbia and a wonderful walking/biking path that goes through a few waterfront parks in Hood River. You can walk to some amazing places to get food or beer in about 20 minutes or bike in five. Ferment Brewery, pFriem Brewery, Solstice Pizza and Kobe Sushi are all nearby. The amenities are great, too. There's a waterfront heated pool. We swam early in the morning when it was probably 50 degrees out and the water was lovely. It's small and it got crowded at times, but great water and great views. The hot tub was super hot and also has fabulous views. The fitness room was small but included everything we wanted (elliptical, free weights, treadmill) The coffee station was nice, too. The breakfast was something I looked forward to each day. It's not a completely free buffet like you might find in some hotels, but you get a coupon for $10 off breakfast for each adult and $5 off for each kid. Adult breakfast ranged in price from $11 - 16, and kid breakfast was $6-7, so the coupon covers most of the meal and the food was better than what you'd get at a free hot buffet. My husband and I really appreciated that the menu had some healthy choices. My one complaint (and it's so tiny that I'm not dinging it a star or anything) is that the TV experience was deeply lacking. It's cable, and includes HBO which have been a big deal maybe 30 years ago. We would've enjoyed the ability to rent a movie in a room.

We stay here once a year or so, the town is quirky, the area is beautiful, and the hotel is very nice. The front desk staff is genial, the food service staff is friendly. At the end of a 10 day road trip it's a nice place to have the last night.

The room was great, the staff were awesome, and the oatmeal breakfast was just the best ever. we went out on the walkway outside the dining area and the river was like glass and the fog was just lifting off the river and the ducks and geese were near, what a quiet surreal few minutes we had, it was really awesome.

This was a break away for my Husbands 80th birthday. The hotel was very quiet - we were on the 2nd floor facing the river right at the end of the hallway. Luckily my Husband had his mobility scooter as he would not have been able to walk to the room from the elevator. The Disabled parking spaces were very limited (this may have been due to utility work being done in the carpark), and we had to park further away from the entrance on a couple of occasions. The Staff were very friendly and helpful. The amenities seem to be well used, especially the pool. The restaurant attached to the hotel was very clean and staff very knowledgeable. I am Gluten free and most items on the menu could be made Gluten free. They also had almond milk (my Husband is lactose intolerant). Although we went in March which was off season there was plenty to do/see locally - we highly recommend a visit to the Air and Auto Museum!, There are several restaurant options nearby, although getting something delivered was non existent unless you want pizza! If you required housekeeping you had to request it (due to staff shortages), but we were ok with that as we prefer to fend for ourselves and feel sometimes there is too much waste associated with daily housekeeping! The vending machines on our level were out of order but there are two gas stations/convenience stores within walking distance..It was a pleasant surprise to get $10 voucher for each adult off of breakfast in the restaurant - wish I had known before I packed breakfasts to take to the hotel though! There were a few minor repairs that could be done in the room we stayed in - mainly the bed frame was bigger than the mattress so my Husband kept hitting his shins on it. All in all I would recommend staying at this hotel.

This best western plus is the finest we have stayed in. From the view to the restaurant, it was an amazing experience. We have been to Hood River before but never stayed on the waterfront. This hotel did not disappoint. We loved the walking path along the river to walk every morning.

Nice hotel nested in a beautiful location. Enjoyed my short stay here. Would love to come back! The staff were great and very accommodating. They gave me the rate of the river view room similar of that standard room and I was a satisfied client.

The executive room was pretty rundown. The headboard wasn't affixed to the bed so even walking near the bed would cause the headboard to rattle loudly against the wall (sorry to our neighbors!). The freezer was so overrun with frost that we couldn't actually put any food items in it. Lastly, the most unacceptable part, large amounts of mold filled the corners ad bottom of the shower. I could scrape it off with the hotel key card. Gobs of it. Staff was too apathetic to approach regarding this issue.

great location. Right on the river. Walking areas for you and dogs. Marina right next to it! Great restaurant...Super good Breakfast. ..great Eggs Benedict. Hotel Bar. Lovely Rooms. Downtown Historic District less than a mile away with high end shops and super nice restaurants, bakeries, pizza. Only thing I did not like...Big Bridge right there..and Big Trucks going over, do create NOISE at nite...close windows, keep fan on.

I booked a King suite for my wife's birthday and was expecting something a bit above and beyond a basic room. What we received was a room with a very broken down king bed, a broken sliding screen door leading to the balcony, and I was told the room had a dual shower head, but it did not. The room was no better than any basic room, and in some cases worse.

I was traveling from Boise to Portland and stayed at BW, in Hood River, for the first night. It was quiet and seemed safe and clean. Dinner was very good at the restaurant, there. (I had the pork chop.) Breakfast was very good. The restaurant was very busy, and I did wonder if the staff might be short-handed. Seemed I had to wait for service at times. The breakfast selections seemed a bit over-the-top for a traveler, such as myself. I prefer simple breakfasts (bacon and eggs), but the menu had some elaborate combinations (that are way too much food for me), and so I did ask to order a side of bacon and side of eggs. Food was very good, and so was the coffee.

My stay was a very pleasant experience for myself and my daughter and her boyfriend. It was the first time for me to meet this guy and to be able to have our experience to be in this beautiful setting overlooking the Columbia River was perfect.

We were really looking forward to a peaceful weekend. Paid extra for the “executive level” without kids. However we got to listen to screaming kids until after 10pm. Slamming doors. Unfinished sheetrock patch in the bathroom. How can you charge $400 for that? Will not be back again. Could have spent much less down the street for the same outcome. Disappointed.

The hotel itself was pleasant but ask before hand if your room has an adjoining door because its extremely easy to hear the neighbors every word and the TVs are also located right next to the adjoining doors and you can hear exactly what they are watching. I would not recommend this hotel based solely on the noise issue

Wonderful experience at The Hood River Inn! The staff was friendly and efficient. The food and drinks were delicious! We had a river view room right on the Columbia! Highly recommend this establishment!

Our favorite place to stay when passing through. The staff are always on point, the restaurant and lounge have great food, the outdoor hot tub and heated pool are amazing, and you can't beat the view.

My husband and I stayed here for a couples weekend getaway. We reserved a specific room type and received it which was a surprise for Best Western as we have reserved at others and our requests were ignored so this was nice. Check in was fast, room was good and clean although the bathroom faucet was loud and not working properly. We received breakfast coupons for onsite Riverside restaurant. We were not impressed with the lack of normal food choices. There were only a couple of choices we considered. Very pricey as well. Food took a while to arrive and it was subpar in flavor and quality even though the prices were suited to high quality dining. The view of the river was nice to dine with though. The pool and hot tub are nice IF you get a chance to even enjoy it due to tons of kids in and out of the hot tub and pool all day and night. We managed to get in the hot tub for a short amount of time before it was packed again. The views were nice as well though. I am not sure why they added a whole section of hotel on but did not add additional amenities like maybe and adults only hot tub/pool for the other wing (West) to lessen the crowding. We saw many people with complimentary robes for the pool but we did not receive them for some reason. I stayed at this hotel 30 years ago when i was a kid and the original East wing brought back childhood memories. The entrance doors are in desperate need of repair as they do not lock so anyone can enter the building which is a security issue for sure. Overall we had a nice stay.

This used to be our favorite hotel in the Hood River area. Not anymore we will be looking else where. Bed was completely broken down and needed to be replaced years ago. Hotel needs lots of repairs, doors didn't work, doors propped open because they where broken. Dog friendly hotel (Great) but they had NO dog bag stations and around the property there was no place to put doggie bags if you have any! Dog grass area was GROSS!!!!!

Staff is always incredibly helpful and friendly. Restaurant is pricey, but always excellent food and service. Rooms are always clean and inviting. View of the river is wonderful, and this hotel is located far enough off the freeway, that you don't hear road noise. Parking is plentiful, and close spots are usually available.

Great place to stay. Everything you need, everywhere you may want to go, shop, play is nearby.. I'm talking walking distance with recreation and major attractions only a short ride away. Hike, ski, shop, fish, eat...

Room with view was nice, typical accommodation for a Best Western. The pool, spa and sauna was great! Restaurant was a bonus and food was good. We ate dinner and breakfast there. Glad we stayed here and will definitely be back!

every thing great other than Uncomfortable bed, the heat unit cycles on with an unbearably noisy fan. The suggestion of fan only (for white noise) doesn't work because you will freeze. I didn't request extra blankets so I don't know if that available, but in the winter they would be necessary. Thin blanket and a spare in the closet were inadequate. The fan unit in the wall unit would make a loud popping noise at random times. Slept a total of two hours and I was exhausted. One of the longest nights of my life.

We have returned to this location at least 5 times. Each and every time, the staff has been kind, attentive, and helpful. The location is amazing and we have had a variety of rooms, view and non-view. They have all been great. Be sure to enjoy the river walk and breakfast at the restaurant.

Booked a suite for the family. The room was run down and noisy (constant hallway traffic and noisy heater unit). The room was not as depicted in website photos, instead it was extremely shabby. Paid $300 for no sleep.

Kerry checked us in - she had a really great attitude and just really helpful overall. Hotel is beautiful inside and out - rooms really nice and clean - we were on the first floor so the walkway along the river was right there!

Excellent location in Hood River on Columbia Gorge. The staff here is well trained. Everyone we interacted with was very welcoming, helpful and friendly. There are many amenities on site including a Restraunt and bar to make stay easier for you. We had a room on first floor with its own access which was perfect for us and our dog.

Hotel was nice, clean. Room was nice, with great balcony for the view. However, there were children on the floor that was advertised as 21+. We wanted a quiet getaway, away from kids. Booked a room specifically to have a quiet room and was certainly disappointed.

Headed up the gorge for a one night escape and enjoyed all that Hood River has to offer. Love this town and the Best Western here is wonderful. Great people, rooms, and restaurant. We've been coming here for years and it's always the best!

The hotel is right on the river with a great view. The pet friendly rooms are on the first floor and have a slider to go outside easily. Food was great! Staff/service were outstanding! Definitely recommend!

Loved the rooms had plenty of room we had 3 people in each room and they gave us a rollaway when we asked for it it did have separate charge. Beds we very comfortable. shower was nice could not hear anyone from next door. the food was good in there little restaurant

We had a room on the river, with a slider that opened to a patio, lawn and the riverwalk and views. Our dogs got to come too and the room service food was way beyond expectations! The room we had felt somewhat tired, or I would have gone with five stars (probably because it was a dog friendly room). I would absolutely stay here again! Such a pleasant surprise for a BW.

Room wasn't very clean, dirty bandaids left on the floor. Staff at front desk was very rude. Bed was extremely hard and not comfy at all. The bathroom was nice however, very large shower. Overall we will not be staying with Best Western ever again.

Friendly staff. Very accommodating and professional. Dogs are only allowed on 1st floor rooms, however, the 1st floor was full and I was allowed to stay on the second floor with my dog. Huge break not to have to change plans and find something else last minute!

We were hesitant to use a hotel restaruant for Thanksgiving dinner but had heard good things about the Hood River Best Western Plus restarurant. The menu was fabulous with many options including vegetarian. My husband loved the traditional Thanksgiving option, while I had perfectly perpared tri-tip. Our room on the river was nice and the view was beautiful. Overall a great exerience!

Hood River Inn is a busy, well maintained property with a good view of the Columbia River. Access to downtown Hood River is quick and easy as well as on/off Interstate 84. The on-property restaurant is surprisingly good; don't hesitate to try it (unusually good fish & chips). Restaurant management does a very good job of hiring and training wait staff - a pleasant surprise.

Great bacon. Nice view of bridge and river. Enjoyed geese, ducks, crane. There are 2 hot tubes and a sauna too. I can return in an instant. Staff was wonderful and requests were answered in a timely manner.

Very enjoyable stay. Booked a river view room with a balcony. Beautiful sunrise over the Columbia River and the hills that border it. Room was roomy and the beds very comfortable. Furniture and fixtures top notch.

This was my first time staying at this hotel. The views are beautiful form the rooms and walking paths along the river. The pool and hot tub is awesome! We also enjoyed the great food from the restaurant. Will definitely be coming back.

Paid a fair price for a clean room and friendly staff. The hotel is nice but not super fancy. It has met our family's expectations once again and we will continue to recommend this hotel for a quick visit to Hood River.

Excellent stay , very relaxing, safe grounds, adequate parking. There was a dining area, lounge, large swimming pool, jacuzzi. Large workout gymnasium. Everything you need is inside the hotel. Also a very relaxing environment.

Marvelous, quiet, clean and safe. The view of the river and the walkway near it was refreshing, clean and just perfect for us. The plants throughout the hotel are lush. The food is extraordinary. Our favorite Best Western by far.

Ants on our dinner table. Ants on out table at breakfast. Ants got into the food we brought. Ants in our clothes we brought home. Ants were on our bed in the morning. Brought it to the attention of front desk staff. Showed them our cookies full of ants. She only asked if I wanted her to throw them away. Very Disappointed.

Great rooms, clean and current decor, beautiful views, sliding door to private outdoor seating area, grass area (easy for walking the dogs) and a walking path along the Columbia River. This was our second stay. We will be back!

I will be sure to make another post when my stay is over in hopes things will change for the better. So far, I have been here for close to one week. In this short time, I have encountered the inability to receive towels due to a “towel shortage”, a broken dryer that has been down for a week now (the only one in my section of the building), no complimentary grab and go breakfast options (like mentioned on website - this is important for those who work early in the am and do not have the ability to utilize the restaurant for breakfast), and a mostly unprofessional staff whose response to questions include condescending tones, laughter, and the inability to answer anything presented to them on their own. My husband and I decided to stay here on a company trip for several weeks because of the amenities listed online and close proximity to the job site. Unfortunately, we ended up with an economy room, which I was initially very displeased with. It is definitely out of my comfort level as it is old and outdated. There was paint chipping off walls, dirty grout in bathroom, and stains on carpet and drapes. The close proximity to work outweighed the cleanliness issue as there were not many options. Therefore, I sanitized and cleaned everything the moment we checked in. It looks like a dog actually chewed the front of the desk. I will post pictures in this review if given the option. We were never offered anything better due to the “high demand of suites” and “suites booked by weekend travelers”. If it were our choice, we would have enjoyed having a kitchen for our extended stay, as price was not an issue in this situation. You can blame these issues on supply chain problems, staff shortages, new employee training, covid restrictions etc., but a complete lack of service and disregard for paying guests is simply unacceptable. I would like to hear from the owner/manager what their thoughts are on this matter and what ways they would work to rectify these issues? Would this be acceptable for you and your family? If you were in my position and encountered such problems, what would you do? Most importantly, what would you expect? I will be staying here until 11/6 and look forward to “someone” having the courtesy to reach out to my husband and I. As an individual who has traveled, stayed, and assessed top hotels throughout the US, I am incredibly underwhelmed. (Quick note: I am still waiting for the garbage bags I requested over an hour and a half ago. Therefore, I suppose I will have to retrieve them myself from the front desk). Lastly, I would like to give my personal opinion as a “guest”. You should not go into the service industry if you do not care about doing your job and doing it at an exceptional level. Having the ability to treat guests with respect, make their comfort your top priority, and be able to fix problems that are presented to you with dignity and grace are the fundamentals of customer service.

Been here 2x before. Loved it. 3 rd time it has lost its charm. No ventilation. Loud humming all night. Could hear all words from hall, and the windows ( which were sealed shut) cars parked right in front of our room window. No privacy oh and you pay for your own breakfast. And no takeout. Even during COVID. It was hot, noisy and dissatisfying stay. I would have been better off going to a 2star motel and spend 60% less.

Stay at Best western hood river one night during my business trip to that area. The hotel is very clean, very beautiful. The lady at front desk is very nice. She contacted me several times even before I arrived. The breakfast is really good. The whole stay gave me very good impression. I will stay again next time.

Upon checkout I asked for a receipt and was in a hurry so I forgot my face mask, the lady at check out denied me the receipt until I went to my truck and got one and was very rude about it. I will not be staying at this location again.

We had excellent service checking in /out. The river view was fantastic, very soothing. Our room was was clean, amply supplied, & the bed was comfy. The size of the refrigerator & freezer was very large compared to other motels we have stayed at in the past. This was our first trip since Covid pandemic & we were happy to see masks on employees & hand sanitizer everywhere. We will definitely be back again.

This property sits right on the Columbia River. Be sure to reserve a room on the riverside with an outdoor balcony (as opposed to a picture window). You won't regret the extra cost. Very relaxing. Restaurant has great meals so no need to drive into town if you just want to chill.

I reserved a handicap accessible room for my 98 year old partner who uses a walker. When we saw the room we were very disappointed that there was a tub in the bathroom with only one bar on the far wall. For one thing, if you are in a wheelchair or walker you can't get into a tub. None of the accessible rooms had walk in showers except the executive rooms which were out of our price range. We were already paying over $200 a night. Also there should have been at least two hand bars in the tub to help with getting out. This was the worst hotel we have stayed at concerning the tub. And the front entrance to enter for registration has many stairs to climb. How will handicapped people register? When I asked about it all the front desk people said was there was an entrance around the corner, which my partner took but was unable to get in because he had no key card. Please do not stay at this hotel if you have any handicap!!

I've never written a bad review of a Best Western before, but that changes here. This hotel gets over $100 more per night than any other, and for what? Breakfast not included. "Modern" design that is not functional, and may even be dangerous. The feet on the bed stick out beyond the mattress, and there's no way to avoid barking toes, shins or knees. The bathroom door creeps closed after entry. The bathroom floor is very slippery. Annoyances: the hair dryer is extremely heavy and noisy, the TV has closed captioning on ever channel, which requires 7 clicks to remove EVERY time the channel is changed, and the lighting is poor. I couldn't see to put on my makeup, either at the sink, or the mirror on the wall. Positives: Best shower in 2 weeks of traveling, plenty of desk room with comfy chair, large and well lighted parking, beautiful view from restaurant.

This Best Western looks great and it is presented nicely on the website. Although the area is beautiful the property is not well maintained and the place is understaffed. So at $350 a night this Best Western is not worth visiting. The staff is nice but busy so you won't get any personalized service. Stay at a small hotel down the street and save yourself the couple hundred dollars a night for more activities or nicer dinners.

My wife and I just returned home after a two night stay in the Best Western Plus in Hood River. For the past six years we pick up wine at our favorite Gorge winery four times a year and always stay at the Best Western Plus. We swim laps in the outdoor pool and we've never had a bad meal when we eat there. On this occasion we enjoyed the majestic hills, beautiful Columbia River, and terrific weather. Our stay at the facility wasn't quite so nice. Thursday morning we went to lap swim at 6 a.m. and found a filthy pool. I pulled out a hairball the size of a softball, and the bottom of the pool was full of dirt and dead bugs. I will say on Friday morning, the pool was spotlessly clean. (I'm surprised management hasn't invested in a robot vacuum that can scour the pool nightly when patrons aren't allowed in the pool) We ate dinner at the restaurant Thursday night. We were seated at 5:50 p.m. Our server took our order, but didn't write it down on a pad. After sitting one hour, we hailed the server down and inquired about our dinner. She told us the restaurant and kitchen were understaffed and that she was now forced to buss tables and serve food. She checked on our order and informed us that our order was the next one coming up. 30 minutes later, 7:25. we were served food. I wouldn't have given our server a tip, but my wife felt sorry for her and gave her a 20% tip. No complimentary breakfast as we have gotten in years past. Yogurt and granola or two boiled eggs and a stale muffin. Water and coffee were offered. We never got room service for two days. No fresh towels, no one to empty the trash. Spiders occupied not only our deck, but the room on the inside of our sliding glass door. We couldn't help but feel sorry for the patron who wanted to sleep in Friday morning. At 8:15 a.m. a very loud lawn mower came roaring by the front of every room facing the river. I'm stunned that management is so insensitive to have allowed this behavior. Why not wait until check out time to mow the lawn? Our stay wasn't all bad. The chef made two marvelous dinners and the facility offers a complimentary newspaper at the front desk. Management at this facility will undoubtedly blame the terrible service on Covid; however, it appears this facility is still profitable and can afford to hire more help. I couldn't help but notice that the parking lot was nearly full, and for the two days we spent there, we dropped over $600. Best Western Corporate might consider taking the "Plus" away from this facility. It's barely mediocre.

Annual outing for my wife's birthday, so paying more than $350/night for a room is OK, but I expected a $350/night room. This room/service/location was not worth even $250. The view from the room was nice, but facility maintenance and breakfast were subpar at this price range. Repairs in the bathroom were terrible - the caulking for the shower glass was unprofessionally done & the 2 toilet paper holders were loose - And one was installed upside down. Our little deck & deck furniture was dirty so we had to clean it before using it. The property just seemed worn out and improperly maintained. Breakfast was "Grab and Go" with 4 options - a plastic bowl of yogurt with fruit and granola, a different bowl of yogurt, a cinnamon roll, or $5 off your breakfast at their restaurant. All of this for just a bit more than $350 dollars a night. I've actually had better rooms and breakfast for about $125 a night. Very disheartening.

The best Western at Hood River was the perfect place to stay to take advantage of walking along the Columbia River and riding our bikes on the historic Columbia highway. The bike ride was phenomenal with stunning views. There was also a well done exhibit at the start of the ride to give you some history of the old highway.

What an amazing Best Western! We had apet friendly room which had a sliding glass door out to a patio with a huge grassed area! The view was amazing overlooking the Columbia River. Although I didn't get a sunset, I did get a wonderful sunrise. I would have stayed longer had I known how amazing it was! I'll be back!

This Best Western has the best amenities and gorgeous view of the Columbia River. The rooms are clean and quiet, the restaurant offers great tasting food. There's a bar and swimming pool. We brought our small dog and he enjoy the daily walks along the shoreline path. This will be our destination when we return to Oregon!

Wonderful overnight stay at this hotel. I rode the Columbia Highway bike trail 2 days in a row. Nice big room ( with room for my bike). Quiet and great river views from the balcony. I swam in the pool and had dinner at Riverside.In the morning the grab and go breakfast sandwich and coffee was lovely on my balcony. Great overnight trip from Portland.

The road noise from bridge and interstate is a bit loud. Better is low numbers on East wing. The food was excellent and service was very good. Easy hotel access from road and all services are right there. Riverside has a wonderful breakfast.

Nice place to stay in Hood river Oregon. I had a one king and one queen suite on the 3rd floor. The room was outdated but had a nice view from the balcony. Noise from the nearby highway and bridge is loud. The water pressure was great in the shower. The hotel restaurant is really good. We had breakfast and dinner there during our stay. At check in we received a $5 off coupon per person for breakfast or you could use it for a free grab and go breakfast. There was no charge for parking. I would stay here again.

We recently stayed in an executive riverview king room and it was just as described - a great riverside location (with wonderful view) and small balcony. The room was clean and perhaps a bit on the small side, but certainly adequate for our 1 night stay. It was also quiet with a comfortable bed. The only glitch we experienced was on the day we left all the ice makers in our building were either shut off or not working. The front desk supplied us with some ice after we reported the problem. One of the nicest Best Westerns we've stayed at!

The location is great and the room was nice. Our only issue was the walls are thin and we could hear our neighbors having a conversation about shoes and the dresses they were going to wear to a wedding the next day, as if we were in the room with them.

The Best Western Hood River had friendly staff, excellent food, and a beautiful view. We really enjoyed our stay. We were able to enjoy our coffee (and wine) on the balcony, overlooking the river. We took walks along the waterfront.

My daughter and I stayed at the BW Hood River on August 16, 2021. We stayed in room #381, which was a river view. The room was a 2 queen room with a vaulted ceiling, a mini fridge and microwave. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was very large and clean. Due to Covid, the hotel wasn't offering traditional complimentary hot breakfasts. They gave you a voucher for $5 off per guest for breakfast in the restaurant or you could get either 2 boiled eggs, muffin & fruit or a large cinnamon roll. Of course the best feature of this room was the great view of the Columbia River and surrounding gorge area. I drank lots of coffee on the balcony while enjoying the views and boats, barges and wind surfers on the river. I did use the very nice outdoor pool and hot tub. The pool was heated and very nice. This hotel is a large convention style hotel with many different wings and lots of people. They also have lots of amenities, although due to Covid, some were not used. The hotel shares a parking lot with a small strip center, McDonalds, Starbucks and a gas station, so parking can be a little congested. The hotel is in a great location next to the Columbia River, the Gorge and downtown Hood River. I recommend it to anyone who wants a nice, clean hotel with a pool and who wants to be centrally located.

This hotel is clean and comfortable. The view from the river facing rooms is beautiful. The restaurant on site is very good and downtown Hood River is not far at all. It's fun to watch the wind surfers from the room.

The best thing about this hotel is its location and view right on the Columbia River. The rooms were ok, could use some updating. The air conditioner had trouble keeping our room cool enough and it wasn't overly warm outside. The breakfast was a grab and go but ok. I'd stay again. No real problems during our stay. The grounds were nice.

This was a welcome respite after a long day of driving. Spectacular location and view (albeit no view from our room, to be clear). Good pool/hot tub area. Discounted gourmet breakfast in lovely outdoor setting with view. Our room was on the bottom floor of the west wing, and not much light. For the type of property, I would've liked to see a more cohesive decor/furniture integration and color-coordination. The art on the walls was kinda odd for a hotel. None of the colors in the bathroom went with each other or the artwork.

...a day BEFORE we were supposed to. The hotel quickly worked with us to get us a room. Smooth transition. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean. In fact, the entire property is that way. You simply can't beat the location. It's about a mile to downtown and is very walkable. My wife and I did that several times. Plus, it's right on the Columbia. So nice to wake up in the morning, open the shades, and see that beautiful water rolling by. The restaurant is terrific. Plenty to choose from and everything we had was excellent. Again, you've got that view! We really appreciated the free grab-n-go breakfast. There's a choice of three things each day. If you ever find yourself in Hood River, THIS is the place to stay.

The hotel has gone downhill. In desperate need of a make over. Arrived before check in time and asked for a curtesy call when room would be ready. They refused and informed me that i needed to keep contacting them. Front desk also informed me that how would she know when my room is ready. All other hotels offer this without asking let alone refusing. Spoke with manager who was very rude and told me they were doing the best they could. We have stayed here on several occasions in a particular suite that we like for the view and location. One of the bathrooms had no hot water and bathroom light did not work there was bird poop every where on the deck and all over top railing some of it old some new. I am talking lots of poop. We stayed at best western Orifino on the same trip two nights in the clearwater suite. They confirm your phone number to call when room is ready. Excellent staff and clean well cared for hotel. Maybe send manager there to learn customer service. The room we always get in hood river is $ 540.00 a night surely for this price they could do better. Did not report room issues with staff or management for the way I was greeted. Will not ever stay here again. Had dinner witch was good but ac not working or turned off way to hot for a nice meal. One winter we stayed in the same sweet and the heat did not work it snowed 12 inches that night. staff could not fix all we had was the gas fireplace in the front room. They used to give a free breakfast now just $ 10.00 off for two people. We are gold members with best western and stay at many. Will be staying at another in Juneau Alaska in anther month. Customer service customer service customer service !

Staff is excellent. The front desk and events coordinator and restaurant manager and restaurant/banquet staff were all very friendly helpful and did a good job. Rooms were clean, food was great, the overall hotel is due for some updating. The views and location are amazing.

This Best Western Plus was exceptional. The service was great. The fitness center was actually a fitness center with weight machines, hand weights and aerobic machines. The pool and the hot tub were both well maintained and clean. The restaurant on the premises was very good with great food and excellent service. My only criticism is that you could not make reservations for the restaurant which resulted in excessive wait times.

I would stay here again when in the area. It would be great to see the return of their Happy Hour as it is the best in Oregon, basically. Hope to see it again soon! It was a little spendy for only one night but the view form the restaurant is great and it is close to all things to do in the gorge at Hood River.

Great location right on the river. View from room was beautiful. We used pool one day which was nice and overlooks the river. Ate at the restaurant on site which was fantastic. Only complaint is the sliding door onto balcony was impossible to slide open. My husband had to practically lift it to move. Also room only had 2 sets of towels and there were 4 of us. Delivered more towels but no washcloths. Requested them at front desk and never received. Overall though I would stay here again.

Great place. Only familiar with east wing. Top floor are executive rooms with balconies on river side. 2nd floor has standard king and queens with no balconies on river side. Bottom floor has standard kings and queens with sliding glass door on river side and are dog friendly. Restaurant is exceptional with indoor and outdoor dining. The whole facility has a resort feel to it.

Nice pool experience. Good proximity for Gorge touring. Rude check-in clerk. Must actively request basic room cleaning early in morning if staying multiple days. Repair crew left dangerous screws on carpet. Have stayed at this location several times in past. Value not what it used to be.

I'm not sure I would stay here again. The highway noise was so loud that it wasn't a peaceful vacation. The waiter at the restaurant told us there was nuclear waste in the river. Lounge/bar didn't have a bartender so we weren't able to watch the soccer game and have a drink. A/C wasn't cooling and we were quite warm. There was a beautiful view and we spent a bit extra for the balcony room. Definitely not worth the money. The area is so pretty, but wish our stay was better.

The hotel, staff and the view and proximity to the waterfront activities via a pathway were awesome.....no issues except the food really & the price was pretty spendy (over $340/night on the weekends). COVID restrictions are lifted, yet, they're not offering any nightly discount for no continental breakfast..you get a choice of $5 off in the restaurant or you can get one item grab & go - a small yogurt w/granola (they ring it up at $10 each, but yet only give you $5 for the dine in discount-ridiculous)...they should go back to normal or offer more of a discount in the restaurant! The bathroom to the pool was locked as well-so, kids peeing in the pool! Gross.

Overly process-orientated desk staff lacked customer service skills and knowledge to warrant a more charitable review. (Whoever developed the staff training plan really s*** the bed). View from the pool is fantastic. Your kids will probably give this place a 5 out of 5--mine do. And the public path along the water is very pleasant. Room is about as expected. I'd probably stay here again if given evidence that hotel management was somehow improving. (If they read this, I'm sure they'll blame something like a labor shortage. Whatever?! Figure it out.) We paid $188 base rate for ground floor no view for mid-week days 7/6/21 to 7/9/21. Ground-floor was the only rate available, since everything else was sold out. Room and amenities were worth it. We stayed at Best Western in Hood River a week after all of the local COVID restrictions were lifted. We're still feeling very grateful to be out of the house. The location of this hotel is very nice. The view of Columbia River and landforms on the Washington side are stunning. Family-friendly pool, two hot tubs, and adequate weight room we're all very pleasant amenities. Walking path on the Riverside of the property provides a scenic place to stretch your legs. Nearby Starbucks and gas station add to the convenience of this place. The hotel is adequately maintained, but this is highly subjective. For example, water stained carpet in the gym space doesn't bother me at all. I also don't care if the paint in the room is less than flawless. But I do care about the quality of the things that don't cost anything: good service, accurate information, and knowledgeable staff. Unless there are service changes from when we stayed, don't expect anyone to change your sheets, or make your bed, or give you a new dry towels during maid service. Our room got to the point where we had three garbage cans overfilled with food waste and diapers. We also ran out of toilet paper. As I was returning the keys at checkout, I saw a sticker on the key envelope indicating the lack of maid service and how to go about getting the room serviced if needed. It would have been more helpful if the front desk staff had taking a moment to explain the level of service that was to be provided instead of relying on us to read the pamphlet they handed out. The 3 out of 5 rating comes down to poor hoteling skills of staff, who seemed to be constrained by bizarre processes. I'm trying to decide which of the front desk staff were the most unhelpful.

This is the best place you can stay in Hood River. The setting is stunning; the restaurant is very good with beautiful ambiance right on the river and a very good chef. The double queen room river view room is very nice, roomy and quiet. This hotel isn't inexpensive, especially during holidays, but it is worth it!

The moment you walk in the front door of the hotel, you will feel the pride of this hotel's local ownership. The hallways are graced with art. The bar and dining room are inviting places to hang out with awesome river views. This hotel continues to upgrade the visitor experience. Since we were here last time, the patios have been greatly expanded and enhanced with lighting and comfy modern furniture. Perfect location to see the fireworks over the river on the 4th of July.

My husband and I just wanted a weekend getaway and I found this gem online. The staff is so nice and the hotel is very wonderful. The rooms were comfortable, but it did seem like the table and chairs were an afterthought because they seemed a little big and blocked the entrance to the balcony. We actually spent most of our time on the balcony overlooking the river enjoying the view. There are a few convenient stores nearby to pick up some drinks and snacks. They do give you a voucher for $5 off breakfast in the restaurant, which by the way the food is delicious, or you can use it for a few grab and go items. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. I enjoyed the bathtub and the shower pressure was great as well. My husband wants me to book the room again!

We found ourselves in Hood River on a road trip and needed to stay an extra day. Our initial room wasn't available so we were assigned a lower level room, which I later noted had mold growing on the ceiling... at 9 pm we moved rooms to one that had just become available with a last minute cancellation, I am not sure if this was true or they just wanted to give us the worst room for an expensive rate because we needed another night at the hotel. The pool area is nice but the pool seemed very dirty this time, the water wasn't clear. The breakfast options were decent but this hotel is in need of some room updates and more cleanliness in the rooms (I found old garbage from another customer).

From check in to dining to having to book an extra night at the last minute due to flight cancellation the staff here goes above and beyond! The Riverside Restaurant is fabulous both food and views on the river. Best place to stay!

The location of this hotel is really great. But is right in the Hood River and absolutely beautiful. For the price, the hotel needs an update. Our room was smelly. We requested a change, which was accommodated but the new room also had an odor. The pool is very small. The website photos are very misleading. The staff was not very friendly.

The location is spectacular. There is only a bike trail between the river snd the hotel. Definitely pay for the river side rooms. The other side looks out on a parking lot and interstate. I suspect the noise is significant because the freeway is very close. Walkable to town on a trail, which is nice, (0.9 mikes). The rooms are clean and decent. It's obvious the building is quite old, and it somehow always feels cramped in the common areas. 60s architecture. The way things are these days you don't interact with the staff much, but they seemed nice if a little frazzled.

First time we've stayed at this property and it's absolutely wonderful. We had a second floor Riverview room with spectacular views of the Columbia river and parts of the Columbia River Gorge. Our room was large, well appointed, very clean and as I said came with a magnificent view. The complementary morning breakfast was good and the staff very friendly and helpful and in fact upon checking in they gave us an upgrade for which we are most grateful. The outdoor pool is great and right on the rivers edge and the next time we overnight in Hood River this is the only place will stay. We had lunch in White Salmon, just across the river, hit downtown hood river which is a great little town full of wonderful shops and restaurants. And we did a great bike ride on an old Road that snail trail from downtown hood river to Mosier, about 10 miles round trip. Hood River is amazing and this property is a wonderful place to home base for a few days.

well I called to try to make a reservation but was not able to get my questions answered about the rooms. the women was rude and short with me and asked me to call back when I was more prepared! I will call a different hotel that can actually help me.

The pictures looked nice but we were skeptical going into our stay because I've never been a fan of Best Western hotels. But this hotel was AMAZING! It way surpassed our expectations. We had a gorgeous view of the river, the hotel was SUPER nice and clean, and the food at the restaurant was the best we've had this trip. We will definitely come back!

The property is along the columbia River and we paid for a room on the river. The view was good - hampered somewhat by bushes. The customer service and food at the hotel was far above average. The bedroom was comfortable, and the kitchen area was adequate.

We had a ground rm. MGR called us at 620pm with a noise complaint. Our 1yr and 4yr kids were too loud. It was pouring rain and we choose to eat in the room which had a full kitchen. He said well please ask your kids to be quite. We put the 4yr old in front of the iPad and tried to keep the 1 yr old quite while cleaning up. He called again at 7 pm. Another noise complaint. We said what we had done since the last call. We asked what time quite hours were and he said 10. He then Compared our kids to barking dogs and a loud tv. And we said they both go to bed soon. He Said that was probably for the best. We felt so uncomfortable. I called his manager who called me back the next Monday. He was apologetic and asked if he could give us a free night To come back. I said no because we were moving out of state. He said he would look into another BW at our new home location and get back to me with something he could do for us. Never heard back. The hotel was clean and a great location.

Generally great, but I had to book on short notice and was absolutely extorted by the calendar and lack of space. Next time I'll stay down the road in The Dalles. But the restaurant was great, staff was awesome and the bedding was as comfy as the Davenport in Spokane .

Beautiful and pet friendly, but they changed my reservation the day before I was to arrive. From a room with two queen beds to a room with one bed. Not great for friends traveling together. So my friend decided not to come. Sad.

At first when we got there we thought we were going to love it the view was beautiful the room looked nice it wasn't till we went to go lock our door and go to bed that changed our minds. Our door didn't lock at all all we had was a chain then our bed didn't have a box spring it was just the mattress laying on bed frame it was very uncomfortable and the two nights we stayed we woke up sore and slept horrible. Definitely would not want to stay there again unless it was the last resort.

This hotel is well designed with its 2 wings that connect to the lobby & restaurant. Dinner was excellent with many vegan options and great service! All the staff were friendly & efficient! Would wholeheartedly recommend staying here!

We enjoyed our stay at Best Western Hood River Inn. Our room overlooked the Columbia River. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had a fantastic breakfast - nice selection and pretty presentation. We will stay here gain!

We recently spent two nights here and were quite pleased. The room was clean and spacious. I would spend the extra dollars to get a room with a view of the river. There is a walking path behind the hotel that goes quite a ways along the river. You get a voucher for either a large grab and go breakfast sandwich, or $5.00 off per person in the restaurant. We ate dinner in their restaurant as well. My wife really liked the Impossible Bolognese, and I had a decent burger. The staff was quite helpful.

We were underwhelmed at our last visit to this property, but are very pleased to report that all services are back to full capacity. We love this place, and enjoyed our family visit. Love the pet friendly rooms. We'll definitely return soon!

Rooms are dated carpets dirty and were stretched so they didn't lay flat. Air conditioners broke. Didn't clean my room multiple times when asked with 24 hrs notice. Food was either cold and soggy or burnt all on the same plate. Way to expensive for such a short hotel.

This facility offers an amazing view of the river right outside your door with either a patio or a balcony. And it's conveniently located to many fun things to do around the area, like a trip to Mount Hood via the Fruit Loop.

The front desk staff was friendly and check-in quick and easy. Beautiful old school room but with all the modern amenities. Not the run of the mill Covid grab and go breakfast. We we treated right and will return.

The Columbia River Gorge is beautiful and the hotel has an excellent location to appreciate that beauty. Close to downtown Hood River, hiking trails, wineries, this is a relaxing, lovely spot for a get away.

This hotel is wonderful and the staff is even better! Great location on the river, walking distance to town and restaurants. The food was great! Overall wonderful experience! I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

We were delighted with this property as it was situated beautifully on the Columbia River across the bridge from Washington State! It was elegant, modern and very clean. Our rooms were spotless, comfortable and quiet. It felt like we were the only ones there! Hood River is the gem of the Columbia Gorge, nestled in a charming town you don't want to leave. Nohea at the front desk was awesome, as she changed our reservation to insure we were on the top floor, next to each other, and had that stunning river view. Wish we could have stayed longer! It is not cheap, but worth every penny!

This hotel checks all the boxes, clean, well maintained, comfortable rooms, exceptional setting, pleasant employees, nice restaurant. Parking is convenient and free. Plenty of time for check out. Great Value! We always stay at this hotel when in town to visit family - and are never disappointed.

We love this hotel. Beautiful view right on the river, great on site restaurant, clean, updated. Our room was a king suite with a big deck overlooking the river. There were lots of windows to let in light. Way more room than we needed but happy to have it.

We got a river view room and the view was lovely. Unfortunately we had trouble sleeping every night (except one) due to the paper thin walls. At first we thought the three people in the next room were awful and noisy (they were) but as others came and went it became clear that we could hear every word of people speaking normally, and could easily tell what tv show they were watching. After complaining a second time, the front desk said they wouldn't book anyone in the room next to us for our remaining two nights. That lasted one day (hence our one good night of sleep).

Located by the toll bridge so you hear traffic all day long and way into the evening. Two beds: one of the queen beds was so concave and uncomfortable that hubby and I shared my queen--I was looking forward to lots of room. We also had a family with a rather rambunctious youngster upstairs who didn't go to bed until 11 p.m. or so. Won't go there again. Husband got up at 4:00 a.m. and went to the desk to complain about the horrible bed, they comped us $50 on a very expensive room. Won't go there again.

This hotel is perfectly located on the Columbia River, providing excellent access to the town of Hood River. The views are breathtaking and the on-site restaurant is top notch. If you're looking for a great place to stay during a weekend getaway, this is your spot.

We have stayed at the BW Hood River multiple times. Beautiful location with great view of the river. Nice restaurant to stay on property and enjoy. Beautiful areas to travel to in a close distance. We will definitely stay again

I LOVE Best Western Hood River! Great views, amenities and customer service! I'd actually rather not review this hotel because I'd like to keep it a secret to those who don't know about it :) I come here from the mountain and enjoy the hot tub and pool. The guest are always alot of fun too, probably because they love being at this place too!

River view is about all this place has going for it. Check in staff were rude and rushed us through. Very impersonal. We were celebrating a milestone wedding anniversary so we splurged on a suite. Sadly it did not live up to the rate we paid nor the hotels online pictures. We had a “private” patio but it ended up not being so private. Had random people sitting at the patio table multiple times. We were unable to enjoy the view because of this. Kitchen had been upgraded but the living room was terrible. Couch had rips and no life left for sitting. Sunk almost to the floor when sitting. Carpet was lifting and uneven throughout. I tripped multiple times. TV had wires and plugs just sitting on the ground next to it. Every lamp shade was riddled with stains. Lamps in living room worked but were broken. Bathroom and kitchen both had an ant problem. Bare minimum kitchen items so cooking a meal was difficult. Bed was extremely hard. The floor probably would have been softer. Second night the guests next to us had an extremely loud party. Music was so loud the walls were shaking. Called the front desk after enduring it past 11pm. Security was sent but they were allowed to continue even though the policies clearly state no parties or non guests allowed in the suites. We expected more out of Best Western, super disappointed with our stay. Hood River is a great little town to visit, just stay else where if you want friendly staff or a quality room!

The hotel is beautiful! We stayed in the Riverside suites right on the river and it was breathtaking! Restaurant was great and family friendly. Two issues I had, in the reception area of our suites building, other guests left their food out on the table and it stayed there overnight all the way to checkout. That's nasty. Also, be prepared to leave at checkout because they will knock on the door to kick you out. With 3 small children, you better have your stuff together. Other than that, great hotel!

If you will stay here, you have to pay for the room with the river view. The balconies are super nice and its a beautiful scene. Hotel is definitely older, but its clean and well kept. Rooms have an electric fireplace. Clean, comfy, but old. Would stay again. The negatives is that we were here in COVID times, and not very covid friendly. The pool is outdoors, so gets very cold and packed. Breakfast was poor, customer service wasn't great at all.

Stayed for one night and lucky to get a river view room from a last minute cancellation. River view room tends to get quickly booked up. The on-site restaurant is beautiful. We went for complimentary grab and go breakfast in the morning and the menu was very simple. A hot sandwich and a piece of fruit only. Bottle water was provided during breakfast time only, if you want more at night the front desk will direct you to a vending machine. The view is fantastic facing the river and it's quiet at night. The only thing loud is the in room AC. There's in room coffee machine, fridge, microwave, iron board, umbrella and hair dryer.

Our family had so much fun at this hotel and we'll definitely go back! The pool, hot tub and restaurant were in an outstanding location and the morning walk along the river was so beautiful. Highly recommend!

This hotel is not Covid-friendly. The pool area is crammed with people not observing social distancing or any other type of Covid guidelines. There is garbage and beer cans scattered all over their lawn. The pictures of the rooms are deceiving.

Hotel was great. It is a little dated for the money value. The rooms have a nice view of the river. The parking was great with no worries of theft. The breakfast was fine but the menu needs more options towards the average family dinning options. The staff was great.

We stayed here for a business seminar and I just have to say how amazing the hospitality crew in the banquet room were. Would like to give an extra thank you to Cher for going above and beyond. I would highly recommend people use this venue for other business events.

Our TV was broken in our room. We called the front desk and they said they would have someone take care of it. We waited in our room for over an hour and then had to call the front desk again. Someone came up and eventually replaced the TV but didn't give us a remote (and there were no physical buttons on the TV), so we had to call a third time. This overall took about 2.5 - 3 hours to resolve, taking up most of our evening. Very disappointed. The bathroom was really nice, a big shower with lots of water pressure; however, the door in the shower is gaping from the other fixed pane of glass. Water leaked every where every time the shower was used. it's an engineering/product design/installation flaw that would be easy to fix by applying a seal strip there. The bathroom floor gets really, really, really slick when wet and is a major slip hazard, not to mention a mess to clean up. Due to COVID, the indoor fitness center pool and hot tub were closed but the outdoor heated pool and hot tub were open but limited to a max capacity. The hotel was completely full the night we stayed there. One big party was in the pool and hot tub all evening and again the next morning. The place was packed and over capacity. We never ended up being able to use them, which was one of the reasons I booked here. it would be nice if they took hints from some of the other hotels and did a reservation schedule for these amenities so ALL guests can use them instead of just the one big party that was in there all evening and all morning. Overall, the room was nice, the view was pretty but the broken and/or lack of use of amenities made it not worth the price.

Nice view . Nice view from 1st floor room. Was relaxing and heard minor noise from nieghbor. The breakfast was average. Got the to go option. Brown bag. Breakfast sandwich ham eggs cheese the ham was so thin like paper

the motel is really beautiful and well maintained. the staff does all they can to meet your needs. the pool area was great for the children and the adults. the breakfast was incredible! I highly recommend.

I stopped in for the night and I have to say I was extremely happy with my stay. The parking was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I will be staying here again next time I'm in town. The king suite was awesome

The service was phenomenal as was the food. Kate was our server and was attentive while giving us time to talk. Everyone was following covid guidelines and made me feel safe. Overall a great night out and we were very grateful for the evening!

This is a very clean hotel...... impeccably clean. Every detail is taken care of from check-in to check out. Some rooms face the river and the restaurant does, too. You can buy a sno-park pass here. Breakfast, even though it was a grab and go, was healthy and tasty.

Friendly staff, easy check in/out, updated room with a riverfront view...what more could you ask for? Even though Covid restrictions were in place I could barely tell - they did such a great job making you feel at ease. The TV in the room has no source control/output option so we couldn't hook up our Firestick (important when you are spending more time than usual in the room due to quarantine). I thought the bed was comfy but my partner needed something more supportive (beds are so subjective...the bedding was fresh and clean - the rest is personal preference). Minor personal preferences aside our stay exceeded our expectations.

Overall, a great property but for this trip We mistakenly left behind items in our room as we were trying to get our kids out the door. We are 100% sure they were left in the room and we were told they were not turned in. This seems dubious, best western should have a policy regarding left behind items. I was told both times that I called to inquire that they would contact staff and get back to me but never heard back. I have stayed in many Bestern Westerns in the past and usually have terrific experiences. We take ownership for mistakenly leaving the items but I am disappointed that items aren't better looked after should you leave them in your room.

I love staying here. Enjoy waking up with the Columbia river right in my face and a cup of coffee in my hand. Food & customer service has always been great! So many things to do, right at your fingertips.

The pool was why we came and it didn't disappoint! It was great during the day and was lit up at night, the kids loved this. The hot tub was twice the size of any other hot tub! It was nice being able to do a “normal” activity in this strange time we are in!

Business trip laayover. People very friendly and helpful. Room clean. Service great for being in these coviid shutdown times. Meals room service or pickup. Menu given at check in along with free item voucher. Grab and go or room service breskfast.

We had a great stay here. Cozy room with balcony overlooking the river, friendly service and a delicious warm breakfast even during these Covid times. I'll be back again soon & hope to use the pool and hot tub next time!

The Hood River Inn has it all, especially during prolonged COVID boredom and isolation. The Inn sits on the banks of the Columbia River. 194 rooms with a variety of layouts. Comfy beds. Tasteful, updated rooms. EXCELLENT service from all staff. Riverside lap pool and spa were a big plus! The outstanding complimentary breakfast offered 5 hearty choices. I'll tell family and friends. And I'll be back!

We will stay here again, hopefully be able to spend time and explore the area. The first floor with the river right there was great. The hotel was covid-19 compliant, breakfast was fast and great, carry out or room service. I found the bed to be firm, firm but acceptable.

A welcomed view of the river helped us relax after a long travel day. Absolutely no complaints about this Hotel! The option of choosing from the restaurant menu was wonderful instead of the standard bagged breakfast.

I am over spending money at this place. The non-pet rooms may be nice, but the ones I've stayed in have had some serious issues. During my first stay, there was an ant infestation in the bathroom (I'm talking hundreds, not just a little ant trail). On my most recent trip, the vent was broken, there were finger prints left all over the bathroom, the screen to the sliding door was broken off and leaning against the door, and the shower head was literally just being held up by a block of wood with no moisture seal or anything. In addition to questionable cleanliness standards (which is a big deal in itself during a pandemic), there are also zero noise rules in the wing where they let you stay with pets. Both times we've stayed there have been screaming kids and teens well past 1 AM. For the price, this hotel just simply isn't worth it. I get that the view is nice, but that's just not enough to justify losing sleep and having to question if they're actually keeping up with the cleanliness standards the promise. After my two stays (one in the summer and one in winter), I really recommend doing research on other places before booking here.

Overall, a great place to stay with your canine companion. The room was exceedingly clean, and had a great river view. I will note that the pet-friendly rooms are only on the ground floor. There's a nice paved path along the river (steps from your room) and grass for pet potty breaks. The ambiance of the ground floor room was still solid, I think being able to see the river is definitely makes a difference. As far as location, you're fairly close to everything in town - the breweries are only a few minute drive away, and same with the downtown area. There's a convenience store, McDonalds, and Starbucks that share pretty much the same parking lot as the hotel.

A little spendy for 2 people in December but room was clean service good the property needs a little updating we had a fireplace in our room had to call does to front desk to figure out how to turn it on maybe a sticker or colored button to help find the black button on the black fireplace?

The room and view were amazing! The restaurant has delicious food! The staff need some help with their kindness. They weren't very welcoming but I wasn't there to hang out with the staff so it's not that big of a deal.

Great location, attentive staff, helpful and non irritating Covid precautions, attractive and comfortable room, robust breakfast, and easy access to river and river walk. We stayed as we were on the way to the Oregon coast. Next time this will be a destination!

We return to this hotel year after year due to the location and their pet- friendly accommodations. For those enrolled in Best Western's reward program the free breakfasts are a great value. We ended up splitting one between the two of us because the servings were so generous. We love the trail that is next to the hotel and leads to the waterfront park and downtown for a longer walk. The staff is delightful and is totally on board with precautions during the pandemic.

We have stayed at the Best Western Hood River a few times and are always impressed with their staff and the location. We always upgrade to the river view rooms and are never disappointed. The delicious breakfast just tops off the stay!

Was a great experience, the staff went above my expectations of other hotels I've stayed at to ensure my stay was as comforting as can be. From the cleanliness of the rooms, to the views, to the fitness center and pools all were in great working order and sanitized properly to ensure guidelines were met.

Excellent experience. Incredible location, with River View rooms that walked out to the paved River Walk. Great restaurant, food and service. Beautifully appointed rooms, comfortable beds. Will return!

My lady and I had a wonderful stay for my birthday weekend. Even with COVID restrictions, each staff were pleasant and had a warm smile to greet us. I cannot speak for the restaurant as there are so many great places to dine at in Hood River. We found their restaurant prices higher than most and not appealing to us. The only downfall we dealt with was the fitness center and pool was overrun with kids. They should have a time frame for kids and adults to enjoy the facilities.

we stay at a lot of Best Westerns; this one was more expensive than most; usually the front desk clerks are friendly and efficient but this one must have been having a bad day; we were quite startled and even frightened when we stepped out of the elevator into the parking garage because a lady with two very large dogs was there and one dog barked loudly and lunged at us; of course covid breakfast choices leave much to be desired; checking out seemed to take forever but I think it was due to the guy in front of us having some sort of problem; finally the clerk asked him to step aside so she could check us out

The most unfriendly staff! Front desk to restaurant. Must have awful management. Gorgeous location though! And close to fun shopping and great food in the cute town proper of Hood River No Uber, but one taxi driver in town is friendly and helpful!

My husband and I love Hood River. This hotel never disappoints us. The view of the River is wonderful. We like sitting on the deck for dinner or drinks. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The staff are very accommodating. We highly recommend it.

We stopped in to grab a bite to eat at the restaurant and ended up staying for the views and the service. Everyone was great and the views were amazing. They did not receive 5 stars from me because there wasn't a fan in the bathroom (weird) and their bed frame sticks out further than the mattress. So if you're okay without a fan, and can handle bruised shins, they are worth it.

This is a wonderful place to stay. The location is very convenient. The hotel overlooks the Columbia river and has a nice waterside walkway that heads west towards the marinas and beaches. The breakfast is very good (though no longer free, at least during the Covid modifications) and the staff friendly. We've stayed here before and will stay again when we can.

We stopped in late night without a reservation, due to horrible weather on the highway. We had a room quickly and efficiently within 15-20 minutes. The staff was great and the room was also. Amenities were surprisingly high end, including the unexpected bath robes and slippers.

Only stayed here one night because we were going rafting early the next morning but loved it and can't wait to go back! Beautiful hotel right on the water of the Columbia River - room was nice, clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was in a to-go bag and was pretty decent - yogurt, muffin, nutragrain bar, water and apple - although would have appreciated a hard boiled egg or something with less sugar. The only other thing would be to increase the temperature of the hot tub outside. It was a beautiful evening with finally no smoke and my family and I would have loved to sit outside in the hot tub but it was too cold - felt no different than the pool. The indoor jacuzzi was nice though! Overall, I really look forward to coming back again!

Had the best stay here. It has gorgeous river views with a pool and jacuzzi that overlook the river. The staff was amazing from the front desk, housekeepers, and restaurant staff. My husband was able to work effortlessly in our Riverview room with a desk and ergonomic chair. I will definitely be coming back and suggesting this hotel to other friends and family. They also have a great walking/running path long the river.

We stayed here in June 2020 and on Aug 21-23, 2020. We stayed in one of the suites with a bedroom at the far end of the hotel. Love the size of the suite, pool and the views were very nice too. We stayed in the suites at the end of the hotel - near the Bridge of the Gods. Our room is very spacious, having a dining table was great too. I highly recommend this hotel if you plan on staying in Hood River, OR.

This is a very good property. The entire hotel is very clean and attractive. The room was very fresh with a great view of the Columbia River. The restaurant is a must, especially for dinner. This will be our go to Columbia Gorge hotel!

The Best Western Plus Hood River Inn has terrific views of the Columbia River from the restaurant, pool and several hotel rooms. It's definitely worthwhile to book a river front room and enjoy the view. Most of the river side rooms have a balcony or patio, however some of the second floor rooms in the older building have neither. The other side of the hotel faces the parking lot. We loved our stay at this hotel.

We had visited once before, many years ago and really enjoyed the location so decided to book here again as we were looking for a close-ish getaway for a change of scenery during covid. Check-in/out was quick and easy and the room was clean. We got a regular King room because that's all that was left, but would've loved to get a river view room here as we saw many people out enjoying their patios every night, especially when everything closes up pretty early in town because of the pandemic. The shower pressure is strong, but there is no fan in the bathroom which is a pet peeve for me when hotels don't have one. Instead of a breakfast buffet, you got a ticket for a brown bag breakfast which had a variety of things or $5 off per person at the sit down restaurant. We did the restaurant one day, but weren't super impressed as the breakfast options were really limited. We also ate at the restaurant for dinner and liked that much better - it's really beautiful at night with all the string lights and a larger menu. I wouldn't bother wasting your money on a cocktail here though... it was pretty pricey and if I didn't know any better, I would think the watermelon mojito I got was just straight watermelon juice.. I couldn't even taste any muddled mint, let alone alcohol. As far as other things around the property - the walking path is great. Depending on your activity level, the walk into town is about 1 mile. There's also a small beach area that rents sea-doos, paddle boards, etc right next to the pool. Most guests were good about wearing masks around the property and in the halls. The gym/pool area is the only thing I would be weary of, personally. They were pretty close to capacity in the area both days we sat out there - lots and lots of kids running around, back and forth from the pool to the hot tub, etc and on one night when we headed back to our room there had to have been 10-15 people sandwiched into the hot tub, def not all from the same family. There were signs to wipe off pool chairs after you leave, but we saw few people do this - they do have an employee that comes by every so often and tries to mass wipe stuff down that's not being use, but by that time a lot of times someone had already left and someone else had plopped down in their chair. So I was never comfortable enough to use the pool or hot tub, but seems like a lot of people were. Covid concerns also made the gym, sauna area hard to be able to use. Again, personal preference though. Overall, would definitely stay again.

We love this place, visit several times each year. Location on the mighty Columbia River is superb. Our dog also loves his pet friendly room, and walking along the river. The Riverside Restaurant added more outdoor tables since our last visit, all with a river view. Our dining experience this trip was mixed. Although the menu was rather limited, the food was expertly prepared. The kitchen was running behind for all the meals we took there, but as I said, the food was excellent once served. We encountered very few of the experienced wait staff we enjoyed on prior visits, and new staff are not well trained. Evidence of deferred maintenance is visible throughout the property, from burned out lights to broken furniture. I hope management can turn this situation around, as this is a unique property with great visitor appeal. I assume we experienced cost savings measure during our visit. We will definitely return.

Check In was quick and easy. The room was a King JR with a partition right in the middle of the room it was in the way when you tried to put a chair by the window to view the river but we got used to it , just hit your legs on the bed at times.

The location is wonderful and relaxing. The restaurant overlooking the river provided a great backdrop while sipping on wine and enjoying meals. The pool also provided a great break to relax and enjoy the sunshine. Right next to the hotel is also a rental place for SUP,s, Kayaks and other water sports so didnt have to go far to enjoy all the Hood River has to offer.

We try and visit here several times a year. Great rooms. Comfortable beds and gorgeous view of the Columbia River. The last trip was the first time we stayed on the third floor. That will be our first choice from now on. Warm pool and hot tub by the river. Restaurant on site. The tomato bread soup is delicious. Vegan options a big plus. Lots of places to eat in town for all food choice. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options in restaurants near by, including pizza with vegan meat and cheese. The Christmas train in December is a wonderful family time.

What a perfect hotel in a great location, great restaurant, and amazing views. The river walk is right in front of the hotel which allows for an easy walk into downtown. Even during a pandemic, they found ways to make your experience luxurious and still safe/clean. We will be back and with a group of people for a trip.

I visit this hotel every summer and it just keeps getting better and better. The setting on the Columbia River is beautiful and the on-site restaurant (Riverside) is spot on. But most of all, my vote goes to an excellent staff of folks in every area from the front desk, restaurant and really great house keeping. I think anyone would be hard pressed to find a better managed hotel in any resort town. Full ten points on this one!

I was very pleasantly surprised at the location right on the Columbia River with a riverfront walk. The size of the room was very large with a kitchenette. Loved sitting on the balcony watching the boats go by. Outdoor dining along the river was perfect. Location was perfect, a short drive to Hood River, restaurants & wineries. Definitely would come again & stay here.

I go to BW Hood River Inn every summer after finding it a few years ago. The riverfront location is wonderful and I love the outdoor pool and hot tub by the river. Staff is always great. Fantastic place.

We arrived early and were advised the room wasn't available. This was fine, just figured we would check since we got to town earlier than expected. However, closer to check in time we came back and used the restroom then sat in the registration area for a few minutes in full view of the front desk agents. A couple walked in and were checked in to our exact room ttoe and location immediately. So, I went up to inquire about check-in again and was told no, the room is not ready. Annoying! When we finally were able to check in, I was in so much pain and discomfort I just wanted to get into comfy clothes and climb into the bed. After resting for a bit, I found that there was no liner in the bathroom database, then as I went to the sink to wash my hands I noticed a huge area to the right of the faucet that still has soap scum/residue on it. These two glaring oversights got me noticing other things in the bathroom making it clear the bathroom was not cleaned at all. Upon departure of the bathroom, I noticed 2 more wastebaskets lined up together near a wall in the corner of the room with no liners in them. Obviously, they minimally addressed the room by taking out the trash (half-assed) replacing towels and making the bed. I pray they were all clean, new towels and linens! There was no coffee service replenished nor toiletries. Later, I noticed 3 blueberries and a q-tip in the space behind the two chairs and side table. Clearly no vacuuming, mopping or scrubbing was done. I let my partner convince me "not to complain" at the beginning of a three night stay and to "just address it with corporate". I agreed, to appease my partner but This is actually frightening during this highly contagious pandemic. They slap stickers on the door entry to certify extra sensitization and to seal the room from re-entry after completion until the next guest comes in. But they really don't even do minimal normal cleaning. I have underlying health conditions. We shall see what comes of this. Also just to let you know the balcony river views are obstructed by trees as the top floor is only 3rd. Also the lighted balcony stays on all night making blackout shades worthless and nighttime on the balcony unpleasant as the light is a beacon for all the bugs. They also should have the courtesy to advise when all the main draws to the area are closed.

If you're looking for a hotel to spend one night or two without any extra expectations....this is the place for you. You can to town if you like...about 20-25 min COVID makes everything different so I'm cutting them some slack.

Right next to the Columbia river, we had gorgeous view from our room. We booked a suite with 1 king and 1 quin bed. It was HUGE and very comfortable. Great shower!!! The hotel has a private beach with kayak renting options, it was very nice. The pool looked great too (although we didn't try it). 20 minutes of nice easy and beautiful walking to downtown area. We had the best time! Highly recommended.

We live locally in Hood River and decided to do a "staycation" at Best Western. We have always frequented the restaurant here, but now we can say we've stayed in the hotel as well. The rooms are spacious, clean and have everything you would need. View is amazing if you get the river view. The pool and hot tubs are awesome and overlook the Columbia River view, too. Everything is so close and convenient. This is a hotel and restaurant and I can easily recommend.

Loved the hotel room, beautiful pool (really warm), gorgeous views. The downside was the service. Stayed two nights, had a shower that wouldn't drain and a toilet that kept clogging. Called twice for service and no one was ever sent to fix the issue.

Arriving at this place and having such an easy check in with a friendly person at the counter had my wife and I thinking wonderful thoughts of this place. The building is great and the location is amazing. Right on the water in Hood River. Our room had a fabulous view of the water and the pool area had an amazing view as well. That is all I can really say that is good about this place. When my wife and I went to the pool area to swim and sit in the hot tub we saw they had no towels in the pool area. When we asked someone they said we would have to go to the front desk to get one. Thats annoying but not a deal breaker it was how the guy said it that irritated me the most. If that wasn't enough the pool area had cobwebs and spider webs on the furniture as well as the light fixtures. OK fine, not great but I will give them the benefit of the doubt. My wife and I being on a vacation just wanting to relax called the front desk and asked if they had room service and was told by the host stand that they did in fact have room service and the menu was online. Awesome, so we decided later on to order room service for dinner. We looked at the menu online and then called down to order. Turns out the guy earlier was mistaken and they don't do room service. I get it we are in some stressful and confusing times right now so I get it. What annoyed us is that it turns out the menu online was incorrect and they didn't have one of the items we wanted to order. In the end this place has so much potential and can be so much more but it failed in many areas. It is as though the front desk people are committed to providing a great guest experience but everyone else is not. The last item we were annoyed about is that they had no breakfast included. There is a $5 coupon we can get on Breakfast but considering we pay 150-200 a night for this place we expect more. We have stayed during this same time period that is half the price and their breakfast options are better than this place.

After being stuck at home in Portland, my husband and I just wanted a quick overnight away fromm home, and we chose the Best Western in Hood River. We loved our room and experience! We're looking forward to going back soon. Awesome room, balcony, view and caring staff

Our first time to stay at this Best Western & we loved it! Room with a view of the Columbia River & Great food!! Our room was large with sliding glass door to a patio. Super comfy beds & linens with extra blanket & pillow. The staff was smiling & friendly. I asked about printing documents & they offered to print them for us & provided their email address. It's the little things when on the road every night that makes such a big difference like a bathroom night light, huge coffee cups, extra plugs, the citrus soaps, shampoo/conditioner & lotion I love! We are on the road 275 nights a year. Now as “essential drivers”, we have been through at least 25 states during CV19 and food - good food, is the hardest to come by. A quick peak at the dining room looks very inviting and their outdoor patio must be a great spot to eat and relax when it reopens for “dine in”. We ordered & picked up in the lobby. We ate in our room watching the sunset. A beautiful end to the day. The cod was big & flakey and the fries handcut. $12 for two pieces and $6 for 1 piece on the kids menu. We were given a breakfast menu and I was excited about real eggs - cooked anyway you want, not the scrambled ones out of the microwave bags offered by most hotels way back before CV19 when they used to serve breakfast! The housemade granola, yogurt, fruit & honey was the bomb as was the Sunnyside up eggs, potatoes, sausage and biscuit! Check this place out! We will be back! Please thank them for feeding the essential workers out on the unfriendly roads 1650 miles from home during CV19!

The Desk staff, Food, and housekeeping were amazing and helpful. We had to be moved 3 times due to room issues. Each one they up graded the room. We ended up in a suite that was just beautiful on the river. what a nice time we had.This was during the COVID-19.

The room was very nice, the food from the restaurant was SO INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS, despite that I had to get it "to go". Gorgeous view of the Columbia River, very restful. The bed was stiff for my taste, but this is only personal preference.

Great view along with classy food and great service! Nice place to take walks and enjoy the sunset. Walking distance to hood river which has many places to stop by and have a drink. I would definitely stay again.

A great place to stay along the river. Walking trail in front of the hotel along the river with views of the bridge and up and down the river. convenient location to waterfalls and Mt.Hood. Staff was helpful and friendly.

The heated out door pool and hot tube are amazing.. It was snowing and my kids were able to play on the pool because itvwas so warm and clean.. The shared bathrooms were very clean and the free breakfast was nice

We had never heard of Hood River before getting there on a meandering drive, and we would return. The hotel was undergoing some external construction woes when we arrived, but the front desk staff was able to accommodate us and our requests. Ended up with a river front room, ground floor. In warmer weather, I am sure the patio would have been put to use. Great room, clean, warm, large and comfortable. Able to access the river walk and enjoy the peace and history. The restaurant located in the hotel was top notch for both dinner and the included breakfast.

I think I've actually reviewed this hotel before but I wanted to update. This is our go-to stop on the way to the Oregon Coast. The location is great. A couple of recommendations. Be sure and get a river view room and upgrade to a deluxe room or a suite. You'll be glad you did and it's worth the price difference. You'll get a balcony or a patio and the rooms are slightly larger. The suites are huge. It's worth the extra money. I also wanted to give a shout out to the front desk staff. My husband had hip-replacement surgery (the scheduling was un-expected) and ended up being only few weeks out from his surgery and was still having trouble getting around easily. We almost cancelled out trip but decided to go anyway and wing it. The front desk changed our rooms both times to make life easier for my husband and reduce the amount of walking he would have to do. A big thank you for that!

We have only stayed 1 night, which was this particular trip. I've shared my great experience with family and friends, in the hopes that they will be future guests. I will continue to use your hotel if it continues to stay at these amazing standards. The heated pool and the hot tub as well as the sauna and the inside hot tub along the river was exactly what we needed to relax, have some family time together, as well as have some time alone with my husband!

Love this place! Great hotel service from check-in to check-out. The dining room has delicious food and has beautiful view of the river; so do many of the rooms. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I would stay here over any hotel in town.

An affordable hotel with a gourmet breakfast and hot tub on the Columbia included?!? This place is the best. It's location can't be beat if you're having fun in the Gorge or on Mt. Hood. Super friendly staff, too.

We stayed at the Best Western Plus for one night at Hood River with our extended family and three year old. It was a great base with wonderful views of Columbia River and White Salmon. Our hotel rooms were a good size and clean. The decor could do with an update though. The breakfast at the hotel restaurant was excellent - highly recommended. The heated swimming pool was the other highlight, which was great at night. It's a short drive to Hood River and the breweries, otherwise it's quite a walk (and not well lit at night). There is a free shuttle service available from the hotel to most breweries, but this didn't work when we tried to book it. The Best Western Plus was a good value stay in Hood River, and well worth it.

While the BW+ looks fancy from the outside, and there are suites and villas that appear to be that way, our room was pretty average at first glance. But the bed ended up sagging in the middle and the street lights from outside made the room a little too bright when sleeping. I have seen a lot of hotels upgrade with blackout blinds and it makes such a difference. We didn't use any of the amenities, so maybe that is where this place shines, but comfort is where it makes all the difference.

This BWP is in an excellent location, has a great variety of rooms, nice breakfast choices from a restaurant breakfast menu (you're only responsible for the gratuity) and the staff are very personable and helpful. There is also a walking trail in front of the hotel that is a treat. We would definitely go back and highly recommend that anyone consider choosing this hotel for their stay.

Stopped for lunch, at off hour, service was excellent, had the fish and chips, well done, enough for me, Have most always stopped on way between Pendleton and Portland or just on trips up the gorge, they have done much upgrading of facility since my last stop in March of '19. Easy access off free way.

We recently stayed at the BW Plus in Hood River OR and really appreciated, not only it's location with its beautiful views and right on the water, but the cleanliness and the quality of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. One of our favorite parts was the breakfast that was included. Instead of a mini buffet of powdered eggs, bacon (if you're lucky) and yogurt, we were able to order off the regular breakfast menu that was elevated from most hotel menus. I recommend the short rib hash! We will go back!

This hotel was a great find...incredible river front property with the amenities to go with it. Friendly staff and beautiful artwork created by one of the hotel owners welcomed us in first class fashion. First floor rooms have sliding doors leading out to the lawn and river front path, which was great for us and our little dog. Loved the large heated outdoor pool and hot tub with adjacent fitness center. Everything was clean and well cared for. Oh....the included full breakfast in the Riverside restaurant was delicious and a much appreciated value. Looking forward to our next visit.

BWP Hood River Inn is the best place to stay in Hood River! The view is fantastic! You can see eagles soar down the river! The restaurant's breakfast is great! Sit down and order, no buffet lines. Great bar, staff and amenities!

This hotel is first-rate. The room was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the view of Hood River was outstanding. The included breakfast was very good, with a rather unusual menu. The Happy Hour menu in the Cebu Lounge offered great bargains. The only negatives: The TV remote was a special "sanitized" one, not the one that goes with the TV. Neither the closed captioning nor the "input" work. Since my partner is hearing-impaired, this ruled out the TV for us. Although the hotel is wheelchair accessible, the pool is NOT.

Fantastic location, great staff, super amenities! Wish we had more time, several breweries nearby, need to return to explore. Beautiful riverside property with paved walking paths. Loved the hot tub and sauna, everything clean and tidy. Several dining specials, two free drinks for my birthday, sweet !

We stay at this hotel about once a month, it is really a great place, super well run, every one of the staff is just beyond nice and friendly. The restaurant I have felt for years is the best food experience in Hood River.

The Best Western Plus Hood River has spectacular views, comfortable rooms and a fabulous breakfast. We were delighted with the gourmet breakfast offered. It is located on the Gorge with great paths to stroll on and is convenient for people traveling with their dogs. The location is perfect for a couple minute drive to town.

This was one of my favorite places to stay during our trip to the the Pacific Northwest. The view of the river from the room was gorgeous and the restaurant was superb. Hood River is a lovely town and this elegant hotel was a great experience. Simply the best Best Western I have ever stayed in. Hope to stay there again.

The Front desk staff was very accommodating to my disabled mother. we enjoyed out family time in their very spacious suite with an incredibly beautiful view! The breakfast servers were awesome young men and we enjoyed Damien the most, he was so pleasant.

Beautiful hotel with a great location. If you're looking for a pet friendly hotel with plenty of outside areas with a beautiful view this is the place. Location is right on the water and right on the walking trail along the weather. Breakfast was included in the main restaurant with a beautiful view of the river. The menu items were a plenty and was very delicious. Came with a pot of coffee and pitcher of water. Two thumbs up!!

The staff at this property were amazing. Helpful, happy and positive attitudes even when very busy. Breakfasts were amazing. Rooms were fantastic. We recommend to everyone who wants to visit Hood River!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel- exceeded expectations of a mid level hotel. It is definitely worth getting a room with a river view!!!! The staff were very accomodating; the breakfast was excellent and included. It's offered in their restaurant and off regular menu. Very unlike usual offerings in many hotels. We also enjoyed the lounge for dinner and usually don't eat where we stay, but it worked out for us to do so and we were very satisfied. The rooms are comfortable; there is a nice path to walk along the river. While it was too cold to enjoy the pool, the location by the river would be excellent on a nice day. We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is an excellent get away. The staff are very professional and friendly. The hotel is very well done even with some construction going on. The view is so relaxing and peaceful. The food in the restaurant and the service was very well done.

The hotel was decorated for Christmas. Very classy. The staff at check in, at the restaurant and also at the lounge were very courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. I felt like we were at a top notch, 5 star luxury hotel. The furnishings are a little outdated but everything was in good shape and the entire hotel is spotless. The bang for my buck was such a pleasant surprise. The dinner was delicious. I had clams and pasta, cooked to perfection. My husbands meal was delicious too (yes I had a bite!). The pool and hot tube are outside and heated so we were able to swim in December. There is also an indoor hot tub if you don't want to go out. The pool and workout room overlook the Columbia River. What a view! I will certainly book this location again. Looking forward to it!

Overall good experience, cant beat location and conveniece to downtown and the local area. Pool, hot tub and sauna are top notch. Rooms are nice but could use a little tlc. Lounge is a great place to grab a drink and happy hour. Breakfast in the restaurant was disappointing considering the space and view, service seemed aloof and disintersted, more menu options are needed or offer buffet

For our first trip to Hood River and surrounding area, I searched for a well-reviewed hotel, with convenient and good on-site restaurant, and a river view. BW Plus Hood River Inn seemed perfect. First impressions had me second-guessing the choice. The lobby was packed! The hardworking front-desk staff, with all hands on deck (usually there were two staff people, but they called for a third) did their best--but check-in involved waiting in line and took about twenty minutes. The lovely lady who assisted apologized, saying several groups had checked in simultaneously. So I figured this would be a busy business hotel filled with convention-goers and tour groups --not, as expected, the relaxing family ambiance we sought. Well, that initial fear was unfounded. That this BW provides for both large groups, as well as smaller ones, and all types of travelers, is a compliment to the employees and management here. Our room, with two comfortable, queen-sized beds, was large (seeming even larger with the wonderful view right out the sliding glass door), with two separate sink/counter areas--- one in the bathroom itself, one in the alcove opposite the closet. The bathroom looked recently upgraded and was spotless. Unlike many hotels which lack a place for used hand towels except on the counter, there were towel racks right next to the sinks. There's a small refrigerator, large-screen TV, iron, umbrella, eating table in the room. Other little things that you don't see enough, but which i appreciate: an old fashioned heat lamp in the bathroom (more and more rare) and two luggage racks. (Too often, a two-bedded room provides only one rack--as if only one guests has luggage!) The pièce de résistance? The large deck/balcony, with table and two chairs. Perfect place for riverside relaxation! Two guestrooms' balconies share the one large deck space, with a clear divider between them, but we never saw anyone on the other side. We could see the river, the hills across in Washington, the lovey lawn next to the river, and a great view of the Hood River Bridge. Aside from seeing large groups in the lobby and meeting rooms, based on the quietness, we would not have known there were many other people there. Our room was on the second of three floors, close to the farthest exit/entrance on the west wing side. Entering was easy, as the (free) outdoor parking lot is large...we could go straight into the corridor rather than through the lobby. Some reviews mention traffic noise from the bridge, but what we heard while sitting outside was minimal. Certainly oohing to disturb the peaceful ambiance. Once the door between room and balcony closed, there was no noise in the room. We had both dinner and breakfast at The Riverside Restaurant.I will review it separately, but for now, one word: excellent!!! A delicious breakfast is included in the room price, but if staying at the hotel, consider dinner there also, especially if you love Italian food. Great property great food great service. I was extremely satisfied. VERY reasonable rate as well!! Prior to this stay I was using HIE which kost my business due to high rates, poor service & complicated, useless rewards program, never going back to HIE. HIE is acronym, figure it out.

We have stayed at this hotel for Thanksgiving for 4 years now. It has become a tradition for us. The restaurant food is great and the hotel and restaurant staff are way above the norm. We love this place!

My son invited us to spend Thanksgiving here with his family. We had a suite but the rooms looked great too. Oh my! Indoor and outdoor hot tubs, very warm pool, great exercise equipment and unbelievably gorgeous views of the Columbia River Gorge. Very nice walking trail along the river and nice little town....oh...and wineries!

This is an excellent hotel right on the river with great views. The restaurant is fabulous with reasonable prices. Breakfast was included and we actually had a choice of meals. Not just a breakfast buffet! The rooms were clean and comfortable and well prepared. Staff were friendly, helpful and courteous! Great customer service!

I stayed here with my family for three days at Thanksgiving. Every employee was professional and friendly: the person who took the reservation; check-in desk worker; cleaning staff. That was the most important part of the vacation for me. The room (#379) had a nice river view and balcony. Every thing was clean and comfortable. I cut my hand and the staff gave me antiseptic spray and a band aid. My toddler fell asleep so we were able to call and get a later checkout (we also checked in an hour early). This kind of reliably meticulous service is what makes us come back year after year.

Stopped for one night in Hood River and decided to try the Best Western Plus Hood River Inn. We had a wonderful stay, the motel and it's amenities are first rate. Beautiful views of the Columbia River from the public areas and a very comfortable guest room, also with a great view of river and bridge.

This is a lovely hotel, spend the few extra bucks to get a river front room! The outdoor heated pool and hot tub are awesome! There is also a dry sauna-wow! The rooms are nice and clean, but not fancy. The restaurant has really good food, service is friendly but a bit slow. Overall, we will stay here again!

We only live 45 minutes away but love to take a break in this rare river side lodging with pool, hot tub, and sauna with a top notch restaurant. The views can not be beat; except by the food and service in The Riverview. Jasmine provided us fantastic service for our anniversary. We look forward to the rest of our stay!

I stayed at this property for my birthday and was given a beautiful Suite!!! The view is breath taking day or night, and watching the trains and barges going up and down the river/rivers edge was so relaxing. The restaurant and bar were clean and beautiful. The lighting was perfect and the service was amazing! I would recommend this property to anyone looking to relax!

Great views, excellent service. Parts of the hotel are showing age, but it is very clean and really an enjoyable place to stay. They used to have a shuttle and I didn't see that - it was nice to be able to catch a ride up to down, which is a bit more than a short walk.

The rooms are very comfortable and afford a beautiful view of the Columbia Gorge. The people who work there are friendly. By staying at the hotel we were provided with a large, excellent breakfast with no additional cost. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant and because we were guests had half off one of the meals. We enjoyed walks on a trail along the river and by a harbor. I highly recommend this hotel.

Love this place! Our room was clean which made it very comfortable. The view was amazing! this was mine and my amazing man first time in Oregon. I can not forget to mention Luis our waiter for breakfast (best breakfast)who need's to be a promoter for Oregon besides his Amazing customer service, Without him letting us know Oregon's most Beautiful must see location that should be seen for our 6 day stay. Most likely would have missed so much if it wasn't for him . Thank you so much Luis, I've been in customer service for 25 years and Best Western plus, in Hood river, Oregon has the best employees! See you all soon!

Hood River has become one of our favorite places to visit and it just became better with the discovery of this Best Western Plus which is situated right next to the historic river bridge on the waterfront along the river path which runs all along the river. Patio rooms along the river front, restaurant, bar, pool and jacuzzi all along the river front. It was beautiful and relaxing. Add to this a great happy hour and 5 star food in the dining room. Walked the river trail in the evening to watch the sunset and morning to watch the sunrise; amazing. Will return in the spring to have happy hour on the enormous patio which, of course, fronts the river. Did I say the pool and jacuzzi front the river?

Everything was as promised. Great river view room, free breakfast, hospitable staff, great pool and hot tub even in November. Nothing short of a fantastic stay. We enjoyed ourselves so much we are already planning another family getaway.

Very peaceful and comfortable hotel with amazing views of the Columbia River. Wonderfully accommodating staff. Conveniently located for sightseeing and exploring. The room and entire facility had great amenities-from the in room frig to the gym and pool!
