Best Western Plus Harrisonburg

One of the best places I've stayed. Friendly staff, clean rooms and very good breakfast. Wi-fi was good and the bed was so comfortable. Nice hot shower with good pressure. Room was very clean. Definitely would stay again

Room was clean and services were good, however our room was noisy from the trucking fuel station that is next door to the hotel. Could smell the fuel fumes in our room. Probably would not stay again for that reason.

Nice large room, staff were incredibly friendly! Honestly, the staff were the best part. My husband and I were weary from traveling a long distance and having car trouble, so we stopped here for the night. The atmosphere was so nice and calm, it was the perfect “pick-me-up” to get us through our last travel day.

Would highly recommend this hotel. Room was very clean. Friend and helpful staff. I would definitely stop there again. Continental breakfast had both hot and cold options. This is hotel I would stay at again even.

Staff was accommodating and really friendly. Seems like rooms are new and very clean. Would definitely recommend. Also parking well lit. I felt safe. Didn't have time for breakfast, but grab and go stuff good quality. Peaked into workout room and seemed nice and clean.

Now this is a Best Western Plus. The receptionist was so kind and "Johnny on the spot". The rooms were really big with one of the most comfy mattresses and pillows. Hated we had to leave so early. Thanks for a great stay

I stayed at this location in Sept. 2022 to visit my child at a local university and I had a very good experience. I just stayed here again Sept. 2023 and it did not disappoint. This location has very friendly guest services. They rooms are always very clean and that goes for the overall hotel. The good choices for breakfast were many and I had more than enough to eat and set on my way. I have already booked two future dates at this hotel because of the cleanliness, friendliness and location which is close proximity to all attractions/restaurants.

Great Location near JMU ... It was so nice to stay close to JMU. Daughter came back to our room and rested . Bed was very comfortable .. Room was clean and updated This for me is a hidden gem. April on staff was great..

Very very nice!! The room is Very clean, and has a nice bathroom. I love the fact that breakfast is included. Yes I know I pay for it. But I like just getting what I want and not honking too much about it. My husband was very happy with his eggs with onion and pepper and sausage. He went back for seconds.

Usually I've found Best Westerns to be lacking. But this was very clean and appeared recently remodeled. The free breakfast was plentiful in an open and sunny area. The front desk was extremely welcoming and helpful! Would highly recommend for an inexpensive quick stay!!

While traveling yesterday I called ahead to reserve a room. The lady who helped me was very professional, courteous and considerate. (Did not get her name but she had red hair) When we arrived, check-in was quick. Room was very nice, very clean with everything we needed. The bed was perfect and we slept well. Just a nice experience all around..There is nothing negative i could say....Would highly recommend this Best Western location.

The motel was excellent. They just remodeled inside and out. The only rejection I had was the beds were too tall you needed a step ladder to get up in them. They did furnishes stools, but you had to be very careful not to trip off of them.

Stayed one night on a road trip. Very impressed with the property and especially with the staff. Very modern and clean. Convenient to the highway. Nice amenities. If I get back to the area, I would definitely stay again.

One of the best hotel stays we have had. From April at the front desk, the room, the location, the breakfast - just a fantastic find. The room was quiet, spotless and the bed was sooo comfortable! Breakfast was hot and plentiful. And everything was clean - top to bottom. We will definitely be staying there again when we go through Harrisonburg.

We stopped at the Harrisonburg location on our way from CT to SC for a family event. We liked the stay so much that we decided to stay at this same location on our way back home a week later. Staff was great and the hotel was clean. I will absolutely stay here again in the future.

Room was clean and comfortable. It was well stocked. Nice fridge, TV, etc. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. Lots of things to choose from. It was replenished as needed! The 11:00 checkout was great.

Very clean, felt new. Staff very friendly and helpful. The beds were very high, but a stool was provided. Rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was good, with lots of options. We would stay here again.

Nestled between Courtyard by Marriott and next door to Joe's Diner and across from Motel 8, this Best Western is right off the highway. It faces an enterprise rental garage but you have Dunkin Donuts within reach. The hotel looks spanking new. Everything pristine. Bed was super comfortable. BigTV screen. Room ample size. Minimal furniture. Breakfast adequate. Pool beautiful. Recommend.

My family and I were traveling no through and only needed a room for one night. I was hesitant about this hotel because I didn't have a good experience in the past at a BW Plus, this proved me wrong. Staff were extremely friendly and our room was clean. Beds were super comfy and the room was updated and roomy. Breakfast was good for complimentary. I'd def stay again if in the area!

Clean, quality atmosphere, comfortable bed, A nice finish to a very long day of driving. Close to quality restaurants and some shopping, fuel, even ones close enough we didn't need to drive to. One of the better Best Westerns we've stayed it, a pleasant surprise.

Our stay at this hotel was excellent. The young lady who checked us in was helpful and friendly. She quickly welcomed us as Rewards members, and made us feel valued as a customer. Also, she was quite helpful in providing us with dining options in the area.

We had a good nights sleep and the room was quiet and clean. Nice breakfast in the morning with a few items to choose from. Friendly front desk staff! Near Hershey chocolate company, take a free tour there....

Very clean, friendly and professional staff, variety of choices for breakfast, room 220 was pretty quiet. Bed was comfortable , but we always use our own pillows when road tripping. Price was reasonable including tax. We would stay again.

They advertise full breakfast, but all they had was danishes. The room was nice until time to go to sleep and the thin shade on the window did not keep out the lights from the other business or traffic.

The WiFi was very hard to connect to.I have two tablets a computer and a switch one of my tablets and my computer wouldn't connect. The room overall was pretty nice. We requested a roll in shower we both have issues climbing in and out of showers. I took a shower, hubby didn't because he almost slipped getting in the shower.I am not saying we complained about breakfast but other people did. There wasn't any hot food. If they had read the sign it just said complimentary breakfast. l

This hotel is absolutely amazing! It is newly renovated. And the decor is very attractive and pleasing. The front desk clerk was very welcoming and helpful. The entire hotel is a clean facility. The beds and linens were really comfortable. The bathroom was quite roomy and they supplied all of the usual toiletries as well as sanitizing wipes for guests to use if they want to wipe anything that they might be concerned about such as the tv remote, etc. The location is ideal if you are traveling on 81, it is right there. There are some restaurants close by. They also allow pets. The price for our overnight stay was very reasonable. When we pass through again in May, we will definitely stay again. I highly recommend this hotel as a great place to stay!

This was our first time stopping at this location and we were pleasantly surprised. Conveniently located off the highway. Clean, comfortable room and friendly and welcoming staff. We will definitely remember to stop again

I had a wonderful stay at the BWP in Harrisonburg! The hotel was very well appointed and the room was very nice & clean and linens and towels were soft and comfortable. I used the pool and it was the perfect temperature with plenty of towels. The breakfast on Sunday also was very good!! I have no complaints. The FD staff were friendly and helpful. The bill included local tax but the confirmation from BW did not include that so that was waived with no issue. Two things to note: The Expedia and other sites may need to be updated to show that you no longer have a hot tub onsite. I actually booked the hotel just for that reason - that you had a pool and hot tub. I did find out beforehand earlier in the week so that helped. Second - I got the official reservation confirmation from the corporate BW website from a BW email address. However, local communications with the property were via a GMail address so that was a little confusing at first. Thanks I had a wonderful stay at the BWP in Harrisonburg! Very clean property inside and out. Rooms are modern and beds are super comfortable. Location is excellent for travel as well staff is always great and I would definitely stay here again. Great value in our opinion.

Everything about the Best Western Plus in Harrisonburg Va was excellent. The rooms were very clean and decorated so nicely. The staff was very friendly and so eager to help they make you feel like family. The breakfast was a full breakfast and was always full and hot. I highly recommend this hotel we will be back. They made our visit very enjoyable and fantastic

This hotel is beautiful. Super clean. Beautiful decor. Front desk is extremely customer focused. Convenient location just off 81. This is our go-to hotel in Harrisonburg. Best hotel we've stayed at in this area.

This location used to be a Holiday Inn Express and BW and its owner/operator have done a great job at converting it over. This means that the décor and rooms are more modern and the place looks brand new for the most part. The room was quiet, the thermostat worked well and it was nice having a freezer in my refrigerator. The breakfast was on par with other BW Plus and the beds were clean and soft. I would stay here again. I believe this location may also be pet friendly.

Staff was pleasant and efficient, the room was immaculate, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was hot! It's convenient...just off I81, and close to a few good places to eat. Plenty of parking too.

The room was immaculate. The only thing to mention is that beds were so high and fluffy I had to use a step stool to get on. The pool was great the kids really enjoyed swimming this late in the year!!

Nice hotel. Updated. Clean. Great breakfast. Food was hot and fresh. Staff is friendly. Internet needs some work. If you're staying here and the internet is a necessity, you're going to be frustrated. Slow speeds and difficult to maintain connection to router. Speedtest was dismal at best. Otherwise, great place to stay for the price (about 100$) in Harrisonburg, Va.

The new beds in this hotel are much too high for getting into and out of. Check them before you get the room, they are a danger to senior citizens. If you have any issues with getting into or out of beds, then this is not the place to stay

Property was obviously recently updated. Freshly painted, clean carpet, nice furnishings, fresh and light. Very quiet considering it is right next to a truck stop. Beds are extremely high so getting in was a challenge. Breakfast was adequate, staff was very friendly and accommodating.

I figured this hotel had undergone a renovation since the litany of negative reviews and it was a significantly lower price than my usual go-to hotel so I figured I would go for it and hope for the best. I was not disappointed and I will definitely keep Best Western Plus hotels in mind for the future! I hope to be in this area again and will definitely return to this hotel and won't even bother looking to stay anywhere else. This is undoubtedly the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at...there was nothing that was not clean...from our room to the common areas...everywhere. Room was great - the beds were like sleeping on a cloud. Fridge, microwave, USB ports near the beds in addition to outlets...bathroom was spotless and the mirror had side lights (not lights across the top) which is a nice touch. The continental breakfast was the best I have ever encountered in a hotel: 2 kinds of omelets, 2 kinds of sausages, biscuits, gravy...the usual Danishes, muffins, different bread items for toasting...oatmeal and cereal...fridge with milk, chocolate milk, yogurt, fruit cups,,,and then the waffle station. Not just syrup but rainbow sprinkles, chocolate chips, strawberry topping and whipped cream! Plus the breakfast attendant was very friendly and engaging. All of the staff members I encountered were friendly and helpful. There was a water cooler near the breakfast area which we appreciated. We didn't use the fitness area or the indoor pool but both looked spotless. I would have tried out the jacuzzi/hot tub but it was out of service while we were there (with a very apologetic sign/notice). Hotel is right off I-81 and less than 10 minutes to JMU.

The room was clean, the staff was friendly and accommodating and the price was best in the area - Cant go wrong compared to the comps in the area. We were traveling with family to Tennessee. Easy on/off I-81. Plenty of food and gas close by.

The bed is so high off the ground that you had better be at 6' high or else you will need a step stool to get into bed. It is impossible to read the font on the AC/Heating as it is that small. There must be better hotels in this area!

If I could give this hotel zero stars I would. I stayed for one night for business and thought it would be ok given the ratings online, well they lied. I walked into the lobby which was dirty. I dismissed it and just tried to stay positive until I got into my room. Let me back up, the hallway carpets were FULL of stains that I felt gross even walking on them with shoes. So I get into my room and try to turn a light on, it starts flickering. The paint in the room was chipped. I go into the bathroom and the sink is literally falling apart, cracked. I go to put my stuff down on the bed and there are crackers on the floor in my supposed "clean" room". I was so uncomfortable that I wen to Target to buy my own towels, washcloths, blanket and pillow because if they didn't clean the floors then I figured they didn't clean the sheets. When I got back I went to tell the front desk about the issues and their response was "I can put you in a clean room"....well what the heck did you put me in before! I asked to speak to a manager and she wasn't there and then I asked for a refund and they said the manager had to approve it and that they couldn't issue refunds since I booked it through booking.com. Unfortunately, JUM had a home game that weekend so there were not other hotels in town with availability because believe me, I checked. The next day I called Booking.com and they have been trying to get in contact with the Manager Beth to get my refund for two weeks. Every time I call the front desk is less than helpful and very dismissive. I work in the hospitality business and this is by FAR the WORST experience I have ever had or seen in my life. The hotel should be shut down honestly. Do yourself a favor and don't believe the fake ratings, this hotel is terrible!

Stayed one night. Not many places to stay since it was a busy college weekend. Room smelled like smoke. Bathroom supplies were not filled. It just didn't have the clean smell at all anywhere. Sheets were clean though. Definitely won't stay here again.

Nothing fancy about hotel. Definately, needs modernization, but the hotel was clean. If you are looking for the basics...clean, quiet place to rest during trip this is the place. The staff was polite and responsive.

The hotel has changed ownership. On August 31st it is now owned by Best Western. The hotel room's A/C was noisy. you could hear the tractor trailer traffic since it's located next to a truck stop. The room was clean. The staff was professional and polite. Because of COVID restrictions the room was not made up and trash was not emptied during our 3 day stay. We were told if we wanted fresh towels etc. we would have to call the front desk for them. Hotel is due for an modernization and it needs it as the carpeting in the rooms and hall way is quite tired.

Nothing special about this establishment. Looks newer on the outside than it is on the inside. Clean, and covid certainly screwed up the breakfast, but it gets by... The wifi on the other hand is terrible! worst that I have ever seen in any hotel, anywhere. Won't connect, and if it does it flakes it on you continually. Use this one for a family stop...don't try to do any business here!!
