Best Western Plus Harrisonburg

The hotel was exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and professionally managed. During my stay, I spoke with the manager, Melinda, who shared the property has recently undergone a complete leadership change. As a first-time guest, I was genuinely impressed by the results. Every area of the hotel was spotless, organized, and welcoming. The pool and fitness center were both attractive and well-kept, reflecting the attention to detail throughout the property. Breakfast was the best I've experienced at any Best Western in the past year. The hot breakfast selection included eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and the signature Best Western waffles. Most importantly, the food was actually hot, which is becoming increasingly rare at many hotels. This property sets a high standard for the brand. I only wish Best Western Corporate would ensure all Best Western locations operated at the same level as the Harrisonburg hotel. Highly recommended!

Words to hang on...if your financial institution flags a transaction as fraudulent you should slow down a minute and try to figure out why. My stay at this hotel has been very insightful in this. This place started off great. Front desk guy tried to give us best rates. However by the next morning it seemed like everything changed. The same guy ignored pleasent conversation directed at him and had become arrogent and very snobby. The same clerk assured us we were good to stay in our existing room until our check in time of after 12pm arrived he would call us in our existing room to let us know the new room was ready. UNFORTUNATELY he had a serious problem with the deal l was able to secure through the best western corporate website and it was a great deal as he had quoted us a price of $245 for the same room the night before and the website offered it to us the same room for just $72 eight hours later. Now why this guy should care what our nightly rate is was beyond me however apparently he took as a personal affront because he cancelled my reservation for the additional night stay then he waited until 12:10 and charged us a $78 late check out fee. So we arrived at the front desk at 12:15 to find out when our new room would be available. Instead we find out this clerk had decided he would ruin our entire weekend. Not only had he cancelled our reservation because he told us the night before the rate was $240 for the night and clearly he couldnt give us the room for $72 and he just couldntt understand why it was so low amd he didnt know how that price had been obtained that morning for our reservation. So now our reservation for our third night stay at his hotel was cancelled by this clerk and by now were being treated as third class citizens and on top of it all hes charged us a late check out fee after agreeing he would do no such thing. This is outrageous and its a awsome scam theyve got going. So after my family packed up and left we contacted Best Western corporate to get an answer to why the hotel was allowed to scam us in this manner and we were told that the reservation price was guarenteed and they had to homor the reservation ...however the clerk thinking quickly .ade sure he added my name to the do not rent to list just to be double sure illk of my familys character ( polite well mannered neat) would never again be welcomed at his humble place of employement. So yeah they cheated us our of a nights stay at $72 and then used the time we over stayed inthe room at his direction to generat a late check out charge and then when he was called on his behavior by corporate they lied about the condition room was left in to support banning us therefor not having to honor the guramteed rate the website had offered us. Dont waste your time with this headache of a racist manager and his clearly orchestrated scam tactics because once you stay theyve got your information to continue charging you whatever bogus charges they want to. When both of my credit cards flagged this hotel as possible fraudulent transactions i should have stopped and considered why they would do this. I guess both of my banks have this place on a list for making these exact fraudulent b.s. charges and thats why they flagged this hotel.

The management Michael and Victor were very friendly , Accommodating, and willing to share suggestions on things to do and places to eat. We had a couple minor issues and they were fixed on the spot. Every night when we returned they asked if we had a good day. Breakfast was good but there was no attendedant, the mochael and Victor had to take care of it. Before clearing away they asked each person eating if they wanted any more. The only real set back for me was the pool was cold not heated as the site stated a heated pool

Really run down best western plus. I had a mouse in my room that I saw in middle of night. Peeling paint in the bathroom. Really bad smells in hallway etc oh, very lumpy bed. Don't stay here.

Rude and disrespectful management, cannot take criticism well

This location is right next door to a truck stop. Very little insulation between the rooms. Breakfast was very limited and not refilled. Rock in the room was warn. The king bed was so high they provided a step stool to get into it.

This weekend, a friend and I rode our motorcycles in Virginia. While riding on I81 N my friend felt ill. Even though we were only a few hours from home, we thought it best to find a hotel to check into so that she could rest. I travel a lot and have quite a few hotels that I frequent. I checked on my phone for nearby hotels and saw that a Choice hotel was near and had rooms available. However, when I arrived the front desk woman said they didn't have any rooms available. She was not very warm and I assumed it was because of my motorcycle attire. I mentioned that there were only two cars in the parking lot. She just repeated that she didn't have any rooms available. When I told her the situation with my friend, she said there might be one available and that she'd have to charge $10 for every half hour before the check in time of 3PM. I told her that I didn't really care about the cost and would be happy to pay for the night before and that day as I only needed a few hours for my friend to rest. I also saw on the wall that it was an independently owned Choice hotel. When I went out to tell my friend about the cost - $230 plus - which was higher than the price on line, the front desk woman came out to tell me she no longer had a room. My friend immediately said that she found the lady's treatment of me odd. I called the Tru hotel across the street, but no answer after waiting 15 minutes. I walked to the Best Western next door. Thank God! I got the complete opposite treatment. They were the kindest people ever. They even said they'd allow me to check in right away. The rate was $99 even with an early check in. They were genuinely concerned about my friend and gave us both a bottle of cold water and asked if there was anything they could do. We only stayed a few hours - decided to watch the US Open and FIFA and get a bite to eat. On top of that the hotel looked brand new - carpet and bathrooms spotless, modern decor, and just all around good people. I can't say enough about Victor, the front desk person and Michael and Melinda! Thank you for putting the customer first and for being so kind and caring. I would stay here over any 4 or 5 star hotel in the area simply because of their customer service.

This place was amazingly affordable and I didn't expect much but I was wrong. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was fine, just like a lot of other places we've stayed in. We wanted to watch the FIFA game and we were told we could watch on the large tv if we couldn't get it on our tv upstairs. It was a bit fuzzy but they let us rearrange the chairs. They gave me a blanket when I was cold. There was a strobing light that was a distraction and the American team lost but otherwise it was fine. Bonus was we walked over to Joe's Diner after a long day of driving. Joe's was a good place for us as we love a good diner.

On a road trip north from FL & after sitting so long a nice, warm pool (estimate 87⁰) to relax the back issues and huge plus for me. This 1 delivered & happy to note it also is equipped for wheelchair (see photo). I don't need that but glad it is offered for those who do. As seniors I do see others who would benefit. I always request a quiet room & it was. There was sounds from outside trucks but nothing inside. I don't think a lot of occupants at this time. Room was clean, bed & pillows comfy. Bed is high but there was a small stool on 1 side. I needed it! Linens in be & bathroom were nice. Refrigerator, TV, internet all worked. Access to hook up to your Netflix, Prime etc. Desk & 1 upholstered chair. Black out shade (appreciated). We were on 3rd floor. Ice machine near elevator. Only downside was breakfast but I'm used to that. Husband likes the waffle. I'd like a decent tea selection & decent yogurt & cereal. If you're happy at other BW with the eggs, meat potato you'll probably find it acceptable (1 would hope PA could do better though, right?).

Jeff is the rudest "manager" /person I have ever in my adult life had the displeasure of dealing with. Do NOT stay at this location if you want to be treated kindly. The hotel was clean but the front desk treatment at check in was literally awful.

Don.t leave anthing in the room ! I forgot my shower bag and it was never turned into their lost and found. I could care less about the shower bag,but inside it was a denetal appliance that was over $2K. Very dissapointed that it was not retreived, and I could not speak with the employee that cleaned the room because I was told they do not speak English. Then when I inquired about things I was given a name David that I spoke with, when calling again there was no David that worked there. The second time I spoke with Michael that suspicioulsy sounded just like David.

It was an OK place but they haven't given me an explanation of the apparent overcharge on my bill.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were consistently helpful and polite, making our stay comfortable. While we arrived a little later than anticipated, we were checked in in a timely manner and given very clean room with a very comfortable bed. The staff's genuine hospitality made us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. The manager (Mr. Michael Dull) personally checked in with us to ensure our needs were met. He stood out as approachable, dedicated, and always aiming to exceed guest expectations. This is by far one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had.

The front desk guy was friendly and helpful which got our stay off to a great start. The room was clean and large.

I have been staying in this hotel for many years. Management is very rude specially to a platinum member. Calling a loyal customer is liar... is NOT acceptable. Needs new management.

This hotel was very clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was nothing special. Joe's diner down the street was excellent!

Bad experience manager seemed to be talking badly about guest I over heard while I was eating breakfast he was talking about a negative encounter with a previous guest . When I went to check out front desk attendant told me I was being charged 5$ for my keys because I didn't bring them down and he wasn't walking to the room to check if they were left .

Room Smelled, Not Enough Food AT Breakfast AND refused to add at 8:40 when breakfast was until 9. Cheap sugary crap breakfast Yuck. I travel a lot and this is BAD!

For those who don't want to read more... Clean, Comfortable Hotel with Great Breakfast! I was on the road driving late, realizing that I needed to call it a night and get some sleep, I searched three different towns along the I-81 corridor in Virginia, finding Harrison to have the best rates for a quick 6 hour rest. This hotel was very highly rated and lived up to the other reviews that I saw. Friendly late night check in, clean room, COMFORTABLE bed and nice breakfast is everything a traveler wants while looking for a nice place to rest before hitting the road again. I will definitely keep this hotel on my list as a great place to stay if I need a reasonable rate for 6 hours of sleep!

The room was clean and the bed was super comfy. My problem came from the way my reservation was handled and the employees who I asked to help me. I was charged almost 60 days out from arrival, I was charged the wrong amount and when I asked about the cancellation policy, they changed it up even though I had it in an email based on my room confirmation. The GM Michael at this hotel is awful, so if you have questions regarding your reservation, be prepared for his rude and aggressive behavior. I honestly can't believe they have someone like that at the front desk.

I had the best experience here. The room was so nice. Huge king size bed that was very comfortable. The staff are so nice! Breakfast was really impressive (make your own waffles, scrambled eggs, biscuits, cereal, etc

Hotel was very clean, comfortable and convenient to restaurants and the venue we were attending on the campus of JMU. The staff (Victor) was very nice and extremely helpful with directions and recommendations. He thanked us for staying with them and went out of his way to help when my wife forgot an item. Breakfast was plentiful and very good. Didn't use the indoor pool but it looked clean as well. The experience was definitely a 10.

The room was fine. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only problem I had was the internet price was 105. But I was a walkin customer I didn't think I needed a reservation because the place was not busy. But when I got to the front desk the price was 50 dollars higher. I went ahead and took the room because I had been driving all day and I was exhausted. But I think it is wrong to charge more for a walkin customer than a reservation customer.

Beware when booking at this hotel. It was moldy and smelled of someone smoking weed in the rooms. When we didn't stay at the property because they couldn't find any clean rooms, they forged my signature and charged my credit card for the full stay. Uploaded are pictures of the forged signature. Funny how they didn't have my address, email, phone number, make of car or any additional guest information on the "signed" agreement because they never got it because we didnt' stay there. We did book via travel teams booking and they were no assistance either.

Clean location that is centrally located to the interstate, shopping, and multiple food options. Staff was friendly. Complimentary breakfast held variety and was at appropriate temperatures and variety. Offers great amenities: fitness center and pool.

Best Western Plus, Harrisonburg is convenient to I-81. The property is clean and quiet. Breakfast is hot, plentiful and tasty. Ian made our check in very smooth. It was a wonderful end to a long day of travel. We have stayed at this property before and look forward to staying again.

What a disappointment. We are frequently in Harrisonburg, so have stayed at a number of the hotels located there. This is a new Best Western Plus constructed in the last couple of years. We often stay at Best Westerns when we travel and if it's a 'Plus', we figure it's one of the better ones. Not the case, with this location. Yes, it is right off I-81 (as are many of the hotels in Harrisonburg), but it is in a kind of industrial area. You have to drive to get to Harrionburg's lovely downtown, JMU and most restaurants. It's in an odd place. When we checked in we told the clerk we would be using one of the BW gift certificates we had earned for recent stays. I gave him the certificate. They indicated it would be applied at check-out. Although the property is new, there were indications of leaks in the bathroom. The bed was so high, they provide you with a Rubbermaid stool to get into it. I appreciated the thoughtfulness, but worried I would forget about it if I needed to get up during the night. The room temperature greatly fluctuated throught the night to the point we were thowing off the covers then huddling under them 30 minutes later. It made for a poor night's sleep. We didn't have breakfast the next morning as we were attending an event that included breakfast. But, we went to grab a cup of coffee only to learn they were out of coffee. This was at 7:30am! When we checked out, we were asked about our stay. I mentioned the temperature fluctuations. The response was 'Don't you hate it when that happens'. I asked for a receipt. The gift certificate discount had not been applied. Although she noted it was indicated on my reservation. It took 15 minutes to sort it out. We will not be returning to this location.

The hotel room was sparkling clean with refrigerator and- microwave and was ready when we arrived. The staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful - especially Victor! You know how the reservation process always has a space to "write special request to the hotel"-you fill it in but no one ever reads it or responds to it? Victor checked us in and told us immediately they had specific items on their breakfast buffet that were gluten-free! I am gluten free for medical reasons, had noted it on my reservation! The hot breakfast was very good. Scrambled eggs (real eggs), sausage, potatoes, hot waffles etc. as well as muffins, toast, etc. Juices, coffee, etc. We have stayed here before and will again. Highly recommend!

The rooms were very clean the beds comfortable and pillows were nice. The staff all impressed me. They were so accommodating and friendly. The hotel was spotless. They all took pride in it. We will be staying there every time I go through that area.

Booked a king room for one night for a JMU football gameday. Located within 10 minutes from JMU campus/very easy to travel to/from. Parking/check-in: Plenty of parking, check-in/check-out was quick and easy. Check-in and check-out Manager on Duty were pleasant. King room: Located on the 3rd floor, bathroom was bright, clean and spacious. Bed was plush, pillows: firm and soft pillows. The microwave seemed to be on it's last leg (kept fanning every 45 minutes), tv ok, ac ok, coffee machine (Keurig with extra pods). Breakfast: 4 out of 5 stars. Plenty of options, fixings.

Wonderful hotel. Friendly staff - someone was always at the deck when we walked by. The GM LJ Mendiola walked around when the guests were eating breakfast and asked how everything was & if you needed anything. She would also take away any plates you were done with. I have never been to a hotel where the GM walked around & asked how things were. Breakfast was great - oatmeal packets, mini muffins (banana nut, blueberry, poppyseed), scrambled eggs, sauteed peppers & onions, hash brown potatoes, sausage links, bagels, toast, juice, waffles with sprinkles, cherry, peach or apricot (like pie filling) to put on waffles. Dry cereal (raisin bran, fruit loops, cheerios). Coffee with flavored creamer, apples, mandarin oranges and oranges. On Friday when were there, they had a new coffee maker that you could choose light, medium and bold coffee. Very Nice!! I believe this is a newer hotel because everything was clean and it looks newer. We will definately stay here again if we are in the area. Nice place to stay if you are visiting Shenandoah National Park.

Gracious staff; particularly attentive manager over this weekend-friendly and consistently checking in. Rooms clean and well appointed. We had no trouble with noise on 3rd floor albeit not on truck stop side. Small breakfast was okay-had some basics and seating area clean and bright with new tables etc. They could probably use a larger capacity coffee carafe for high volume times, but that is pretty minor. Gym with 4 machines-treadmill and bike and elliptical and weights etc. small but stocked.

Very nice recently updated hotel. Helpful staff. Full Breakfast. Convenient location.. The room was perfect for our needs. We would definately stay at this Best Western location again. Next trip to the Shenandoah Valley/Blue Ridge mountains...this will be our pick.

This hotel was very clean, staff was friendly, and me and my family truly enjoyed our stay. It was very quiet and peaceful. The beds are amazing and the breakfast was extremely nice. The guest laundry was in great condition. The fitness room was great as well

The accommodations seem to be recently renovated and are exceptional for a motel. The rooms are clean, quiet and the beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms are much better than average motels. I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. It was a great value and overall experience!

Glad there is once again a Best Western in Harrisonburg. Being farther away from the traffic near downtown and the shopping areas near US33 is a plus. Means there is a back way to get to Massanutten. Good to have an elevator. Appreciated the larger frig. With a step stool available, it didn't matter that the microwave was up higher than usual.

The service is great. Well trained staff, friendly and accommodating. We stayed twice in August and both rooms were spotlessly clean. Wish the hotel was located a little closer to the center of town, but it is still only a 10 minute drive to the town center.

Nicely updated BW with good breakfast times. Easy off I-81. Pleasant staff and clean rooms. Beds were comfortable. We stopped back on the way home to NC from NY. Room was on side of the Truck Travel Station, but noise didn't wake us up. We would stay again.

Room was really nice and big. It also smelled really good. It was really comfortable and the bed was great too. Only issue was the bed is high and I had to use a step stool which was provided. My daughter was a little nervous of it being so high. I felt comfortable and had no major issues. I thought the ac was a bit loud but once I was asleep I didn't hear it. Also our room faced a truck stop and you could see the trucks if you don't use the blackout curtains. Again this didn't bother me but my daughter felt it was a bit loud, I heard nothing. The only complaint I have and its really minor was that the tv is positioned in such a way that it can't swivel towards the couch or at least we couldn't get it to swivel. The breakfast was ok but not the greatest. I felt the bread was a bit stale. Breakfast can use some improvements. Add more fresh food and make sure what you have is good. The selection wasn't much as far as fresh fruit or add ons for the waffles. Over all I loved our room and felt safe and comfortable. If I am in the area I would return.

The Bed was amazing. This hotel has been refurbished and is very nice. Everyone at the front desk was helpful. The room was clean, and the door locked securely at night. There was a guest laundry available to use if needed. Had a great stay. Highly recommended.

This property is very easy to access. Located just one block off I-81, it offers easy parking in a well lighted lot. The hotel was very quiet. Ian was very courteous during check-in. Our room was clean, bed was comfortable. We were able to get a good night's sleep and enjoyed a tasty, filling breakfast the next morning. There is a lot to do in the area - museums, caves, shopping. We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic hotel right off 81. Very friendly staff, super clean, comfortable beds and had a fantastic breakfast. They even had chicken strips on the breakfast buffet! I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Anyone looking to stay in the Harrisonburg area should definitely check into this place. Once again, Best Western for the win!

This is the nicest Best Western we ever stayed at. Everything was really above and beyond. The gentleman who checked us in was so professional, explained everything, ackowledged our tier status, gave us water and a choice of snacks. He was really wonderful. The room was spotless, modernized, beds super comfy, everything worked well, was quiet. Wifi fsat and reliable. The breakfast was superb. Lots of hot options, omelets, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, home fries, waffles as well as all the usual cold stuff. The woman in charge of replenishing the hot items was right on it. The breakfast room was very clean open and airy. Note: I mistakenly reviewed this stay in reponse to the usual email asking me to complete a survey with the stay we had the next night at the Best Western Conference Center in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania which wasn't nearly as good. After I realized m mistake, I called Best Western customer support asking if they could resend the survey or delete it, and they said they could not. Harrisonburg, VA BW peeps, if you get notification of a survey that's just "meh" and says there is no free breakfast, I'm so sorry! That was Harrisburg, PA! Harrisonburg BW is awesome. We saved the business card in out travel atlas so we can make sure we stay in the same one again. It was really a great stay.

I have never stayed at a Best Western Plus but will for sure stay there again! From the clean and comfortable room, the well equipped fitness room, the good breakfast to the outstanding staff, this is a winner!

Check In and Out was EASY! Welcomed as a Diamond Select quest which is rare when we stay at BW's? Given complementary two bottles of water and snacks also for our loyalty, this is even rarer? Truck Stop next door, heard NOTHING! Truck Stop didn't seem all that busy to me. Heard nothing throughout the night, slept like a log? Large room, came off very clean and easy to move around. Nice large TV on wall with good channel selection. Microwave and coffee maker in room also. Nice bath towels! Good shower pressure and just fine hot water. Breakfast was like most BW's, probably a little better? Sausage, potatoes, egg& cheese omelettes, biscuits and gravy, juices, toast, bagels, muffins, fruit, my wife's favorite peanut butter and offs and ends? Employees very engaging which is a rare quality. I saw many areas that this BW doesn't take shortcuts where most others we have stayed at do. WELL DONE, this will be our stop when as we travel by this way to visit family ?

If you like noise this is the hotel for you. It is right next to a truck stop with semi's coming and going for fuel 24/ 7. Could not get any sleep at all. Would not refund my money either! They get you because by the time you see anything about the hotel the cancelation period is over, so you are stuck staying here! It's sad because the rooms were very clean and the breakfast good, But no sleep here!

Super noisy outside.. motorcycles & 18 wheel trucks 24/7/365.. The hotel itself wasn't bad.. very good... Convenient is the thing.. Do you want to sleep alongside I-81 like a trucker?? ALL the hotels at this exit are stuck with this experience.. BW is just where we optioned to stay as the extended stay promo deal was good..

Wer were there for a graduation and the Best Western did a great job of meeting all the groups needs. They showed genuine care and took the time to make sure we had all the information needed to make our stay great.

We stayed one night on our way to the Shenandoah from DC. Lovely and prompt late check-in, clean rooms, and an excellent breakfast. Both front desk agents were absolutely lovely and helpful as well.

We stayed overnight here on our way home from Gatlinburg. The hotel is clean and well maintained, and the staff very helpful. I couldn't connect to the printer in the lobby, so the employee behind the desk had me email my documents to her. She then printed it for me, which I really appreciated. The bed situation is a head scratcher, but not a deal breaker. I'm not sure why the mattress and box spring is on top of a platform bed. But there is a step stool provided. Also, some guests have mentioned truck noises and fuel fumes. There was some noise, but not enough to disturb my sleep. And I didn't smell any fumes. I would stay here again if I happen to pass thru.

One of the best places I've stayed. Friendly staff, clean rooms and very good breakfast. Wi-fi was good and the bed was so comfortable. Nice hot shower with good pressure. Room was very clean. Definitely would stay again

Room was clean and services were good, however our room was noisy from the trucking fuel station that is next door to the hotel. Could smell the fuel fumes in our room. Probably would not stay again for that reason.

Nice large room, staff were incredibly friendly! Honestly, the staff were the best part. My husband and I were weary from traveling a long distance and having car trouble, so we stopped here for the night. The atmosphere was so nice and calm, it was the perfect “pick-me-up” to get us through our last travel day.

Would highly recommend this hotel. Room was very clean. Friend and helpful staff. I would definitely stop there again. Continental breakfast had both hot and cold options. This is hotel I would stay at again even.

Staff was accommodating and really friendly. Seems like rooms are new and very clean. Would definitely recommend. Also parking well lit. I felt safe. Didn't have time for breakfast, but grab and go stuff good quality. Peaked into workout room and seemed nice and clean.

Now this is a Best Western Plus. The receptionist was so kind and "Johnny on the spot". The rooms were really big with one of the most comfy mattresses and pillows. Hated we had to leave so early. Thanks for a great stay

I stayed at this location in Sept. 2022 to visit my child at a local university and I had a very good experience. I just stayed here again Sept. 2023 and it did not disappoint. This location has very friendly guest services. They rooms are always very clean and that goes for the overall hotel. The good choices for breakfast were many and I had more than enough to eat and set on my way. I have already booked two future dates at this hotel because of the cleanliness, friendliness and location which is close proximity to all attractions/restaurants.

Great Location near JMU ... It was so nice to stay close to JMU. Daughter came back to our room and rested . Bed was very comfortable .. Room was clean and updated This for me is a hidden gem. April on staff was great..

Very very nice!! The room is Very clean, and has a nice bathroom. I love the fact that breakfast is included. Yes I know I pay for it. But I like just getting what I want and not honking too much about it. My husband was very happy with his eggs with onion and pepper and sausage. He went back for seconds.

Usually I've found Best Westerns to be lacking. But this was very clean and appeared recently remodeled. The free breakfast was plentiful in an open and sunny area. The front desk was extremely welcoming and helpful! Would highly recommend for an inexpensive quick stay!!

While traveling yesterday I called ahead to reserve a room. The lady who helped me was very professional, courteous and considerate. (Did not get her name but she had red hair) When we arrived, check-in was quick. Room was very nice, very clean with everything we needed. The bed was perfect and we slept well. Just a nice experience all around..There is nothing negative i could say....Would highly recommend this Best Western location.

The motel was excellent. They just remodeled inside and out. The only rejection I had was the beds were too tall you needed a step ladder to get up in them. They did furnishes stools, but you had to be very careful not to trip off of them.

Stayed one night on a road trip. Very impressed with the property and especially with the staff. Very modern and clean. Convenient to the highway. Nice amenities. If I get back to the area, I would definitely stay again.

One of the best hotel stays we have had. From April at the front desk, the room, the location, the breakfast - just a fantastic find. The room was quiet, spotless and the bed was sooo comfortable! Breakfast was hot and plentiful. And everything was clean - top to bottom. We will definitely be staying there again when we go through Harrisonburg.

We stopped at the Harrisonburg location on our way from CT to SC for a family event. We liked the stay so much that we decided to stay at this same location on our way back home a week later. Staff was great and the hotel was clean. I will absolutely stay here again in the future.

Room was clean and comfortable. It was well stocked. Nice fridge, TV, etc. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. Lots of things to choose from. It was replenished as needed! The 11:00 checkout was great.

Very clean, felt new. Staff very friendly and helpful. The beds were very high, but a stool was provided. Rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was good, with lots of options. We would stay here again.

Nestled between Courtyard by Marriott and next door to Joe's Diner and across from Motel 8, this Best Western is right off the highway. It faces an enterprise rental garage but you have Dunkin Donuts within reach. The hotel looks spanking new. Everything pristine. Bed was super comfortable. BigTV screen. Room ample size. Minimal furniture. Breakfast adequate. Pool beautiful. Recommend.

My family and I were traveling no through and only needed a room for one night. I was hesitant about this hotel because I didn't have a good experience in the past at a BW Plus, this proved me wrong. Staff were extremely friendly and our room was clean. Beds were super comfy and the room was updated and roomy. Breakfast was good for complimentary. I'd def stay again if in the area!

Clean, quality atmosphere, comfortable bed, A nice finish to a very long day of driving. Close to quality restaurants and some shopping, fuel, even ones close enough we didn't need to drive to. One of the better Best Westerns we've stayed it, a pleasant surprise.

Our stay at this hotel was excellent. The young lady who checked us in was helpful and friendly. She quickly welcomed us as Rewards members, and made us feel valued as a customer. Also, she was quite helpful in providing us with dining options in the area.

We had a good nights sleep and the room was quiet and clean. Nice breakfast in the morning with a few items to choose from. Friendly front desk staff! Near Hershey chocolate company, take a free tour there....

Very clean, friendly and professional staff, variety of choices for breakfast, room 220 was pretty quiet. Bed was comfortable , but we always use our own pillows when road tripping. Price was reasonable including tax. We would stay again.

They advertise full breakfast, but all they had was danishes. The room was nice until time to go to sleep and the thin shade on the window did not keep out the lights from the other business or traffic.

The WiFi was very hard to connect to.I have two tablets a computer and a switch one of my tablets and my computer wouldn't connect. The room overall was pretty nice. We requested a roll in shower we both have issues climbing in and out of showers. I took a shower, hubby didn't because he almost slipped getting in the shower.I am not saying we complained about breakfast but other people did. There wasn't any hot food. If they had read the sign it just said complimentary breakfast. l

This hotel is absolutely amazing! It is newly renovated. And the decor is very attractive and pleasing. The front desk clerk was very welcoming and helpful. The entire hotel is a clean facility. The beds and linens were really comfortable. The bathroom was quite roomy and they supplied all of the usual toiletries as well as sanitizing wipes for guests to use if they want to wipe anything that they might be concerned about such as the tv remote, etc. The location is ideal if you are traveling on 81, it is right there. There are some restaurants close by. They also allow pets. The price for our overnight stay was very reasonable. When we pass through again in May, we will definitely stay again. I highly recommend this hotel as a great place to stay!

This was our first time stopping at this location and we were pleasantly surprised. Conveniently located off the highway. Clean, comfortable room and friendly and welcoming staff. We will definitely remember to stop again

I had a wonderful stay at the BWP in Harrisonburg! The hotel was very well appointed and the room was very nice & clean and linens and towels were soft and comfortable. I used the pool and it was the perfect temperature with plenty of towels. The breakfast on Sunday also was very good!! I have no complaints. The FD staff were friendly and helpful. The bill included local tax but the confirmation from BW did not include that so that was waived with no issue. Two things to note: The Expedia and other sites may need to be updated to show that you no longer have a hot tub onsite. I actually booked the hotel just for that reason - that you had a pool and hot tub. I did find out beforehand earlier in the week so that helped. Second - I got the official reservation confirmation from the corporate BW website from a BW email address. However, local communications with the property were via a GMail address so that was a little confusing at first. Thanks I had a wonderful stay at the BWP in Harrisonburg! Very clean property inside and out. Rooms are modern and beds are super comfortable. Location is excellent for travel as well staff is always great and I would definitely stay here again. Great value in our opinion.

Everything about the Best Western Plus in Harrisonburg Va was excellent. The rooms were very clean and decorated so nicely. The staff was very friendly and so eager to help they make you feel like family. The breakfast was a full breakfast and was always full and hot. I highly recommend this hotel we will be back. They made our visit very enjoyable and fantastic

This hotel is beautiful. Super clean. Beautiful decor. Front desk is extremely customer focused. Convenient location just off 81. This is our go-to hotel in Harrisonburg. Best hotel we've stayed at in this area.

This location used to be a Holiday Inn Express and BW and its owner/operator have done a great job at converting it over. This means that the décor and rooms are more modern and the place looks brand new for the most part. The room was quiet, the thermostat worked well and it was nice having a freezer in my refrigerator. The breakfast was on par with other BW Plus and the beds were clean and soft. I would stay here again. I believe this location may also be pet friendly.

Staff was pleasant and efficient, the room was immaculate, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was hot! It's convenient...just off I81, and close to a few good places to eat. Plenty of parking too.

The room was immaculate. The only thing to mention is that beds were so high and fluffy I had to use a step stool to get on. The pool was great the kids really enjoyed swimming this late in the year!!

Nice hotel. Updated. Clean. Great breakfast. Food was hot and fresh. Staff is friendly. Internet needs some work. If you're staying here and the internet is a necessity, you're going to be frustrated. Slow speeds and difficult to maintain connection to router. Speedtest was dismal at best. Otherwise, great place to stay for the price (about 100$) in Harrisonburg, Va.

The new beds in this hotel are much too high for getting into and out of. Check them before you get the room, they are a danger to senior citizens. If you have any issues with getting into or out of beds, then this is not the place to stay

Property was obviously recently updated. Freshly painted, clean carpet, nice furnishings, fresh and light. Very quiet considering it is right next to a truck stop. Beds are extremely high so getting in was a challenge. Breakfast was adequate, staff was very friendly and accommodating.

I figured this hotel had undergone a renovation since the litany of negative reviews and it was a significantly lower price than my usual go-to hotel so I figured I would go for it and hope for the best. I was not disappointed and I will definitely keep Best Western Plus hotels in mind for the future! I hope to be in this area again and will definitely return to this hotel and won't even bother looking to stay anywhere else. This is undoubtedly the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at...there was nothing that was not clean...from our room to the common areas...everywhere. Room was great - the beds were like sleeping on a cloud. Fridge, microwave, USB ports near the beds in addition to outlets...bathroom was spotless and the mirror had side lights (not lights across the top) which is a nice touch. The continental breakfast was the best I have ever encountered in a hotel: 2 kinds of omelets, 2 kinds of sausages, biscuits, gravy...the usual Danishes, muffins, different bread items for toasting...oatmeal and cereal...fridge with milk, chocolate milk, yogurt, fruit cups,,,and then the waffle station. Not just syrup but rainbow sprinkles, chocolate chips, strawberry topping and whipped cream! Plus the breakfast attendant was very friendly and engaging. All of the staff members I encountered were friendly and helpful. There was a water cooler near the breakfast area which we appreciated. We didn't use the fitness area or the indoor pool but both looked spotless. I would have tried out the jacuzzi/hot tub but it was out of service while we were there (with a very apologetic sign/notice). Hotel is right off I-81 and less than 10 minutes to JMU.

The room was clean, the staff was friendly and accommodating and the price was best in the area - Cant go wrong compared to the comps in the area. We were traveling with family to Tennessee. Easy on/off I-81. Plenty of food and gas close by.

The bed is so high off the ground that you had better be at 6' high or else you will need a step stool to get into bed. It is impossible to read the font on the AC/Heating as it is that small. There must be better hotels in this area!

If I could give this hotel zero stars I would. I stayed for one night for business and thought it would be ok given the ratings online, well they lied. I walked into the lobby which was dirty. I dismissed it and just tried to stay positive until I got into my room. Let me back up, the hallway carpets were FULL of stains that I felt gross even walking on them with shoes. So I get into my room and try to turn a light on, it starts flickering. The paint in the room was chipped. I go into the bathroom and the sink is literally falling apart, cracked. I go to put my stuff down on the bed and there are crackers on the floor in my supposed "clean" room". I was so uncomfortable that I wen to Target to buy my own towels, washcloths, blanket and pillow because if they didn't clean the floors then I figured they didn't clean the sheets. When I got back I went to tell the front desk about the issues and their response was "I can put you in a clean room"....well what the heck did you put me in before! I asked to speak to a manager and she wasn't there and then I asked for a refund and they said the manager had to approve it and that they couldn't issue refunds since I booked it through booking.com. Unfortunately, JUM had a home game that weekend so there were not other hotels in town with availability because believe me, I checked. The next day I called Booking.com and they have been trying to get in contact with the Manager Beth to get my refund for two weeks. Every time I call the front desk is less than helpful and very dismissive. I work in the hospitality business and this is by FAR the WORST experience I have ever had or seen in my life. The hotel should be shut down honestly. Do yourself a favor and don't believe the fake ratings, this hotel is terrible!

Stayed one night. Not many places to stay since it was a busy college weekend. Room smelled like smoke. Bathroom supplies were not filled. It just didn't have the clean smell at all anywhere. Sheets were clean though. Definitely won't stay here again.

Nothing fancy about hotel. Definately, needs modernization, but the hotel was clean. If you are looking for the basics...clean, quiet place to rest during trip this is the place. The staff was polite and responsive.

The hotel has changed ownership. On August 31st it is now owned by Best Western. The hotel room's A/C was noisy. you could hear the tractor trailer traffic since it's located next to a truck stop. The room was clean. The staff was professional and polite. Because of COVID restrictions the room was not made up and trash was not emptied during our 3 day stay. We were told if we wanted fresh towels etc. we would have to call the front desk for them. Hotel is due for an modernization and it needs it as the carpeting in the rooms and hall way is quite tired.

Nothing special about this establishment. Looks newer on the outside than it is on the inside. Clean, and covid certainly screwed up the breakfast, but it gets by... The wifi on the other hand is terrible! worst that I have ever seen in any hotel, anywhere. Won't connect, and if it does it flakes it on you continually. Use this one for a family stop...don't try to do any business here!!
