"Never Going Back"

To begin.. Our stay first starts off in the parking lot. Where it is made extremely unclear which door to enter and where to park when checking in. After wandering around and finally finding the front desk we proceed to ask the desk attendant if we could check in to our room where she rudely told us to wait while she addressed other customers with a similar astonishing tone. She had no regard for customer service, and I'm not sure she has ever smiled a day in her life. The girl at the front desk after about a half an hour informed us that we could not receive the room because the person that booked it was only 20, and not yet 21. Now this is a policy we would have been happy to abide by, however, we received no information saying this, unlike other hotels which clarify an age preference prior to booking and payment. The girl in the desk then proceeded to tell us that we received a confirmation email of the booking with this information once we had paid for the room. So you pay, then are told you can't get what you just payed for. However we did not receive this email. When asking to speak with a manager, it was to our disbelief that we were told we could come back the next day around nine am to speak with one, and that we could not be issued a refund. I was in complete dismay! If the service we paid for will not be provided, a refund should be issued. Finally we were able to speak with an older housekeeper gentleman who was very friendly and told her to let us have our room. We had now been waiting 40 minutes. We go to our room at 9:46 pm, it is not cleaned whatsoever from the previous guests stay. We call and they said someone would be up. A man came and asked if we were renting and then left. We called again and she said someone would come. At this point an hour has gone by so we walked around looking for our help. Only to find the short staffed hotel having all 3 of its workers sitting outside on a bench! Unbelievable! At nearly 11 a man brought us sheets and told us to put them on ourselves. He didn't even give us proper sheets we had to ask for the correct size, and for him to take out the trash. He cleaned nothing. No vaccum, and didn't step foot in the room. He only took what we gave him. It was an absolutely disgusting stay and I would never go back to a best Western in my life. I would never recommend this hotel chain to anyone.

The hotel is always clean, the front desk staff was very attentive, making sure that we knew the area, where to eat, if we needed directions to anything, and the breakfast was great! The dining room staff, Carlos, was wonderful, making certain that the guests had whatever they needed and keeping the food hot and filled in. Well done!

The heated pool was warmer than we expected, which was awesome! The weather was cold and damp for most of our stay, and it was nice to come back to the hotel each evening and warm up in the pool and relax.

Great service. The receptionist was very nice and accommodating. Breakfast is really well organized and the place is very clean and comfortable. Carlos was an excellent host. You can tell he is there to make you feel welcome. Thank you all!

After a minor setback the first night, we were upgraded to a suite and it was great. The breakfasts were very good and never too busy. The girl at the desk was very helpful. The location was excellent, being between Seabrook and Portsmouth and close to the beaches.

I wish I had stayed elsewhere. For the service & quality of the property, the price was more than double what it should have been. (I travel 2-4 times per month, so I see a variety of hotels across the country.) I could have stayed 25 minutes away for almost the same price and had a better experience. I chose less driving, but I paid with a poor experience. The rooms had a very strong odor from cleaning products & deodorizers. I had a headache within minutes & a respiratory allergy reaction by morning. I left the window wide open and ran the loud fan 24 hours a day, but the odors and headache/allergy reactions did not decrease by the end of the week. Other rooms had stronger odors, so I was stuck. Top service can save a mediocre hotel property, but I didn't experience that. The representative who checked me in was polite. All other interactions with the staff were underwhelming at best, and unhelpful or rude at worse. I am careful to always use please, thank you, and a smile, but the same courtesy was not returned. In a week, I got one half-smile from a front desk representative and a friendly smile from the housekeeper when we passed in the hall. It took 6 phone calls to book my reservation in the room block for my conference. I and another guest waited 25 minutes to checkin. It was not uncommon to wait 10+ minutes for a front desk representative to appear. When I asked for help to locate a local resource for help with car trouble, I was flatly told there was nobody in town who could help me and there was no hint of a desire to help. This hotel only does housekeeping by written request. There is no service of the rooms otherwise. The room had a hole cut in the wall with exposed wiring & wire nuts, loose wallpaper, and a light burned out. Long deferred maintenance. The hotel served its purpose for my conference, but I wouldn't choose to stay there again at any price.

The room was clean and comfortable, with a large refrigerator. I was looking forward to the Buffet Breakfast and Carlos Fior - he has quite a fan base on Trip Advisor. Unfortunately, he was not working the morning we were. Things didn't run smoothly. Another guest said that nothing was turned on when he got there. The waffle maker wasn't pre-heated and even with the spray, the waffle was glued to the maker. The attendant didn't even offer to help the guest with it. The eggs were cold even though he had just refilled them. I believe he told the other guest, it was his 1st day. I guess it's hard to fill the shoes of Carlos! I'm sure things will get better.

I enjoyed my stay here. While the motel was dated, it had a pleasant feel to it along with the area. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was excellent. The location is great with being close to Hampton Beach and Portsmouth. I didn't get a chance to get in the pool but it looked nice.

The pictures online are from about 15 years ago I think. The place is so in need of cleaning and updating. Staff was nice but you can't hide the neglect. Also having our room overlook the chimney from the crematory next door didn't help. Dusty, mildewy and generally run down.

We love to stay at the BW The Inn at Hampton when we come to NH to visit our daughter and granddaughters. Everyone who works there is very friendly and helpful. We love the breakfast that is served each morning with so many options. We also always take a dip in the pool area which is always spotless with clean towels to us. My husband is a Navy veteran, so they always offer a good savings on our room. We have always been given a clean room with plenty of towel and everything in working order. Vanessa at the front desk was so sweet and helpful!

Even though this is a chain hotel, we always have a great experience at this place. Close to Hampton Beach and lots of shopping, restaurants, and activities like mini golf. Also hotel has a pool and a few video games. Staff is courteous and professional, both Millie and Vanessa made us feel as though we were not only welcome, but friends. Very accommodating and personable. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Great place to stay at in the Hampton Beach area. Reasonable rates.

Staff was friendly and polite! Our room was exceptionally clean as was the outside and interior of the hotel.Close to shops and restaurants! Because our trip was for relaxing and going to Hampton Beach we were happy with choosing this hotel and where it was located. We'll be traveling to WPB in November and we'll definitely be staying at Best Western Plus.

Clogged bath, circle around the bath. Wet towel from previous guests hung in the shower. Cobwebs in the corners of the room. General uncleanliness. Way too expensive for this type of hotel. Breakfast just OK.

Hotel and staff are excellent, but everything was not up to temperature. Coffee was cold. Eggs were cold. Recommended restaurant Logan's served cold onion soup and cold hot chocolate. Ask if the pool is open. People with kids in bathing suites were disappointed as the pool was closed till 6 pm while they painted the edges. Could have done off hours.

We stayed here with our two kids for one night. The hotel is on a busy road but we were in one of the suites at the back so traffic noise wasn't too bad. The room was large with two queen beds and a pull out sofa bed. The queen beds were comfortable but the sofa bed was horrendous with the thinnest mattress that made a noise every time anyone turned over on it. There were signs all over the hotel asking people to be quiet but it was very noisy throughout the night with people shouting down the corridors and banging doors (not the hotel's fault, but better sound proofing needed). The breakfast was good with plenty of hot and cold options, including a waffle maker. The Wi-Fi was excellent.

If you're looking to pay $375 for accommodations and amenities circa 1972, where the front desk clerk is nodding out on heroin and the maintenance staff is cranked up on speed; if you want to frighten your children and disappoint your entire family on a Hampton Beach getaway—look no further than this Best Western. It's the lowest of the low in terms of service, comfort, consideration and safety, not to mention a chaotic breakfast scene where the ex-con buffet attendant/janitor helpfully informed everyone within earshot that, "This kitchen ain't too clean." Thank you for your honesty, sir. Wish I'd read the reams of bad reviews before we booked. If this review spares even one poor soul the wretched experience of staying in this fleabag dump, I'll consider it my good deed for the year.

We stayed one night on a family vacation traveling through the Northeast. Worse hotel and night of our 10 day trip. First lobby had a foul odor. Room was outdated - I mean not redone since the 70's. Light switches did not work. Bathroom toilet leaked. Here is the worse part ; for one night cost $550 plus taxes/fees

We had a suite for my 3 adult kids & when we got to the door, it was ajar. We called the desk & told us the just slame it shut! We didn't hav time to ask for another room due to getting ready for a family wedding! I will never stay there again. I am an employee of AAA & would never recommend thi location & I do book a lot of Best Westerns!

"Bad bed, smelly and humid room, NO ROOM SERVICE"

Reallllllly disappointed with the room service and the room. The room was very humid and the air conditioning made a lot of noise for its efficiency. The beds were just ok, but the sofa bed was completely dead. We slept on the springs. For the room service, we were asked to fill out a paper with our requests which we must submit in advance the next morning to get service. Yet when you get to the room in the evening, the beds are not made, the wet towels are gone but no new ones added. We were very clear in our requests and filled in the paperwork every day. We had no service, no matter if we handed the sheet the night before or early in the morning. We had to run after the amenities and the same thing at the pool, no towel. We complained at the reception and when she checked the papers, it was written that the room had been made. On our stairs it was the same situation with alot of rooms, the maids were nowhere to be found and didn't make the job they said they did. Very disappointed to pay such an amount and have less service than in a seedy motel.

Well kept property, up to-date, very clean and the staff is very courteous and helpful. Emphasis on having respectful travelers who are quiet (not running the halls at night our being loud), which we appreciated after having travelled all day. Nicely situated by a variety of places to eat and about 2 miles from ocean. We are on a 3 week trip and are only staying at Best Western's, we have only had one bad experience in Columbus, OH (and would never stay there again). Generally BW's, while they aren't fancy and are independently owned, give us the value for the cost of a nights stay.

The price of the hotel was great for the location. It's right across the street from Mini golf and plenty of restaurants and stores close by. It's also an easy short drive to Hampton beach. Hotel overall could use some updating. The pool was smaller and a bit dingy but was warm and still fun for kids. Breakfast was not great quality. The hotel takes quiet time seriously which we appreciated and we slept well in comfortable beds

"more like a fleabag motel"

Spent one night here and had a very unpleasant experience. The problems with the room were numerous. The sink was half filled with water when I went to use it and the drain cover was inoperable. It remained filled with water during my stay. The minuscule toilet seat (I am 6'2" and weight 181 lbs) was virtually unusable for an average size adult; in addition, the seat would not stay up. The walls were very thin and when another customer banged against it from his room, the headboard of my bed on which I was sitting slammed into the back of my head. My room faced the parking lot and since the heavy curtains did not close all the way, my room was lit throughout the night. The two young women on the desk were overwhelmed with guests checking in. On checkout, I asked for a refund and was given a 20 percent discount.

The reception staff was pleasant and accommodating. The standard Best Western room was clean and the bed and pillows comfortable. It's nice to have a breakfast buffet again. the choices were standard and definitely appreciated. Hotel's quiet policy at night was strictly enforced.

Spent one night on a business trip. The entire place was spotlessly clean. Plenty of free easy access parking. Easy, friendly check in. Tiffany at front desk was polite, friendly, helpful, welcoming. The room was spotless, large, with high ceiling, microwave, and fridge. Bathroom looked recently renovated, also spotless. Room was away from street, silent all night long. HVAC (unlike so many) functioned silently. Carlos, the breakfast host, was friendly, welcoming. FREE Breakfast was excellent: scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal, bagels, cereal, fresh coffee, fruit, in a real dining room. This was an exceptional value on a Friday, given that chain hotels in nearby Epping were twice as expensive, because of weekend upcharges, presumably. I will stay here again and recommend it.

We stayed in a suite after a family gathering before traveling home on mother's day weekend. We attended the provided breakfast and Carlos was exceptional. He was excellent with my 2 year old and made her a special lucky charms waffle. He took the extra time to make sure his guest were taken care of. Overall it was a great experience.

Air conditioner was like a freight train running. I had to remove the plug off from the socket. The exhaust fan in the toilet was like running a chain saw. After a 7 hr drive, wanted to have a good night's sleep. But stayed awake! I will never recommend this hotel to anybody. And management, please do not say that it was an isolated event! In fact, it was poor maintenance and disregard to guests.

This is a very nice hotel. There are several good food options for dinner nearby. The breakfast at the hotel is very good. The heated pool is lovely. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's convenient to the highway.

The place smells old and musty. We checked in and went to our dark and very outdated room. We wanted a simple overnight away close to home so we could go swimming. The pool was heated but was significantly over chlorinated…so much so that our swim suits were bleached really badly. My wife and I travel frequently, use the pools where ever we stay, and this has never happened to us before. We went back to the room to shower off the chlorine, and had zero hot water. We finally decided staying was a bad idea and checked out 1 hour after we checked in, showed the person at the front desk our swim suits, and let them know that we had no hot water and asked to be refunded. They would not refund us and didn't seem to care about our clothing. We were given a small portion of our reservation back and no compensation for the ruined bathing suits. Please rethink booking here.

The mildew smell that hits you in the face as soon as you walk in is overpowering! Very dated atmosphere 80's early 90's, visibly stained furniture and busy carpets that were also stained. Not worth the stay price. Do not expect to have blankets or pillows for the sofa bed.

Great breakfast and the pool is really warm and relaxing. Room is good with 2 beds and a pull out couch. 2 tvs and a good size bathroom. The heat also worked great. The best part of the breakfast is the waffles. Also has really good internet connection.

I stayed at this hotel over night with my boyfriend for a local Confrence. The hotel wasn't bad, it's clean and close to near by attractions, definitely out dated. The one thing that stood out to us from the hotel was its breakfast. The entire set up was great. They were very COVID conscious, there was a great selection of food both hot & cold. The coffee was good and the service was better. Carlos Flor was coordinating the breakfast area & did a superb job, very friendly and attentive.

"Horrible hotel experience"

The hotel was run down and the room had a horrible odor. At check in, the couple in front of us was clearly intoxicated and the young woman at the front desk was alone so could do nothing about this. The gentlemen fell in the hallway after getting his room key and my three young children had to witness this. In the evening our neighbors were going outside to smoke every 30 minutes, slamming their door every time until 1:30am. I would have complained about the noise but the young girl on staff who was the only person at the front desk was observed to be hanging with these guest outside so that wasn't an option.We were in a non smoking room and all of our belongings smelled of smoke the next day when we arrived home. I typically don't write reviews but I was appalled by our experience considering the price of our room. We were visiting as my husband was running the half marathon the next morning and he had to do this on maybe 3 hours of sleep.

The hotel had an odor. Despite signs saying masks required most of the staff did not wear them. The safe did not work and the front desk would not do anything about it. No elevator to my 2nd floor room. Room was dark even with all the lights turned on.

My wife and I recently had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at The Inn At Hampton highlighted by an outstanding FULL BREAKFAST prepared by Carlos and Flor each day of our visit. The prompt, courteous service by these two "Breakfast Experts" was absolutely superior. Everything from the waffles,eggs and sausage to the coffee, toast and hot cereal was done just right. It's great to start your day and enjoy the efforts of fine folks like Carlos and Flor who really care about their work, and greet you with a smile and a cheery "Good Morning!" as well. We booked a reservation here and when we got to our room it was not what was shown online. Some of the rooms in the online pictures have a nice wooden ceiling but ours did not. Our room was very dark, the sitting area was dark. And the furniture was dark. In need of an update Best Western! The room was much smaller then it appears in the pictures. There was a piece of chicken on the floor too. However the manager was very nice and said he wouldn't charge me if we didn't stay.

The Best Western Plus The Inn At Hampton, New Hampshire is within 15 minutes to the Atlantic Ocean coast and near many wonderful restaurants. The rooms are clean and spacious, the dining area was well spaced and breakfast foods limited but plentiful. The indoor pool was divine, warn but not like a hot tub, the depth is 3 feet to 5 feet and large enough for many people to enjoy with a steam room too. We did not use the fitness room but it did have many pieces of equipment. The staff were very helpful with in-house information and local area entertainment. For restaurants on Route 1, we recommend for reasonable pricing seafood go to Al's Seafood in North Hampton about 5-minutes north of the hotel and a variety of seafood and continental The Old Salt Inn about 10-minutes south of the hotel.

"Do not stay at this hotel"

This BW looked so nice on the website and it seemed to be in a good location. However, when we first checked in we were put in a room that smelled like cigarettes and our room was non-smoking. There was also crumbs on the floor and multiple stains on the sheets. The bathroom looked completely run down and old. The curtain was falling off on one side. We asked to switch rooms and the person at the desk upgraded us to a suite. The front desk woman was really nice, however this room had issues too. The bathroom had tiny black hairs in pretty much all of the towels and long hairs all over the shower. I would not recommend staying here...it's not worth the price at all. For $250-$300 a night I expect the room to clean at the very least. We originally had a reservation for three nights but we only stayed for 1 night and moved to a Hampton in Amesbury instead...cheaper than this BW and VERY clean compared to it.

We stay at this location several times a year and I'd say 4/5 times, it's a great experience. This time was one of the greats. Room cleanliness is inconsistent though. Also, never received the credit for one of the terrible experiences. I will stay again. I recommend the business suites... its much quieter on that side of the hotel.

Staff was friendly and efficient, however the room was not great. There was a sliding glass door that opened to an overgrown, abandoned looking courtyard, we were not comfortable walking out to see how many other rooms had access to this space. It just felt unsafe. There is little to no soundproofing, we had to listen to the upstairs guests every move. The room did seem clean though, and there was ample lighting and great water pressure in the shower. We stayed here one night during an extended road trip and this was by far the worst value for a hotel room on the entire trip. Way too much $$ for the quality of the property

We stayed at this hotel with a group for a wedding. Upon returning to our room, we found that the shower did not work. I reported this to the front desk and the concierge was very rude and dismissive. Rolling their eyes when I approached them with the problem. They made a call to who I assume is the manager and it was clear that there was a room available that for some reason they were told not to sell- she had this conversation in front of me and then offered no solution to my problem. We paid $260 for one night in this hotel and the service was very poor.

Have stayed at this hotel before because of location to the beach and close to our friends. The evening started off with not having access to a luggage cart,( staff couldn't locate one) my husband was not able to help, so I had to lug everything in myself. The room was adequate, nothing special ,it was hot and muggy outside thank goodness for A/C but the A/C was loud and it was on low setting. Noisy neighbors, and lots of activity in the hallway. Bathroom was small with very little counterspace, and bathtub was very slippery. Breakfast was ok, great for families, something quick.

Nothing fancy but that wasn't what we were looking for. We mainly booked Best Western because we wanted to use the pool but we were disappointed. After leaving the beach, setting into our room we went to the pool but water was dirty. You couldn't see the bottom. The water was very cloudy. Our ac unit also kelp shutting off on us.when the fan was running there was a moldy smell from the unit. Also my 4yr old found candy on the floor on the side of the couch left by previous guest and also ate them. This let me know room is not throughly cleaned. Other then that breakfast was great. Check in and out was a breeze. Staff was nice. Location was perfect, close to restaurants, highway, beach and shops.

Second time staying here. We stayed 4 nights for a hampton beach trip. Hotel is only a quick 5-10 minute drive to Hampton Beach. Also not too far from Maine boarder. Rooms are older but very clean. The property could use some major updating, but we would stay again for that rate. Close enough to the beach but far enough away from the craziness. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Mini golf across the street. Pool could be cleaner but was nice and warm. Breakfast was excellent. Plastic gloves are a great idea for a buffet style breakfast as the hotel provided them and everyone wore them. Fitness center could use some updating as well. Wifi was hit or miss on second floor. Housekeeping was excellent. Front desk staff was very friendly too! No elevator for the non suite rooms, so make sure you let them know if you need the first floor. We would definitely stay again when coming back to Hampton Beach area.

Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again The breakfast attendants we're right on top of things.... The grandkids loved the pool. Close enough to Hampton Beach to be there in a few minutes. Not having to pay the ridiculous oceanfront rental rates was worth it... We use the money we saved on hotel to have more fun on the beach LOL.

We stayed here for 4 days. We were checked in to a dirty room and they did move us to a room that was clean. But, that room had a broken TV remote, broken phone cord, clogged toilet (they sent up a dirty gross toilet plunger for us to plunge the toilet ourselves), and a live roach in the dresser (when I notified the front desk they didn't react at all. Nothing was done in respect to the bug complaint. Not a good room at all...disappointed.

An absolute nightmare of a hotel. No one at the desk to check us in, so we waited 20 minutes. That should have been our first clue as to what the place would be like. The carpet in our room was soaking wet from a refrigerator that was not properly defrosting. The night manager again was not at the desk for about 45 minutes. Others in the lobby were complaining they were waiting for an hour for assistance. I asked to be given another room, which turned out to also have wet carpet as bad as the original room. We were supposed to stay two nights but left after being there for about 90 minutes.

No major Complaints - The Staff was friendly - the room clean ( Carpets and old nd should be replaced But the room was Clean upon check in. The breakfast was more then expected nice Hot grab and go Items. The only issue was maid service - I think all that housekeeping ddi was come in and empty the trash cans No new towels and bed was not made. Not a big deal just thought that was odd. We would stay here again if we needed to.

when first stepping in the tub I thought I was going to fall threw. The tub is unlevel to the concrete base. The water pressure is horrible and just barely gets hot. The first night our neighbors slammed their door almost ever 20 minutes until I was able to get ahold of the front desk (past 10pm) but she took care of it right away

I was willing to look past the fact that our toilet was clogged upon arrival. I did my best to look past the broken shower handle which prevented us from using the bath tub during our stay. But I ABSOLUTELY could NOT ignore the event that took place the weekend we stayed, where 50+/-MASKLESS people gathered in the hotel's conference room, spilling out into the lobby, making it impossible NOT to have close contact with people as {us} hotel guests entered and exited the building.. JUST WHEN I THOUGHT IT COULDN'T GET ANY WORSE..... my toddler picked up a Rx bottle of METHADONE that he found on the floor between the bed and nightstand. There are no words to properly covey how upsetting this experience was. I NEVER write reviews, but this was a level of insanity I was not prepared to deal with, on what was supposed to be a relaxing getaway weekend with my two boys. I hope this review helps someone debating between this hotel and literally ANY. OTHER. HOTEL in the area. Although the hotel staff tried to remedy the situation, their solution was thoughtless and fell short of the even the most basic of expectations. **UPDATE** The hotel did offer a discount on our room and gave us a late check out on our last day.

We're from California traveling the country, this Is the best hotel we've stayed at! Comparable prices, very quiet, nice beds, great breakfast, and accommodating staff. On our next trip we'll definitely be staying st this hotel.

"Mini family vacation"

Good place to stay especially if you have kids. Kids can go swimming while adults relax by the pool or swimming with kids. Very family oriented. Children loved the pool and fitness center Beds were comfortable.

Place was quiet, clean and staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint was that the room was a bit chilly, even with the heater unit set at 86 degrees. Pool was nice and kids had fun. Will definitely go back

"Backed up sewer lines"

Had to switch rooms three times due to the entire side of one floor having backed up sewer lines, first room the toilet was just clogged before we got there with the lobby plunger in the room (gross), the second room the water backed up into the room as soon as the toilet was flushed flooding the room until my husband shut the water off. And the third room was fine, but not the arrangement of beds we needed and the entire hallway smelled like sewage. Otherwise the rooms were ok, not great but not bad, you can tell theres not a lot of pride in maintaining the rooms as some of the repair work was very shoddy. And we were in the King Suites which I defiantly had higher expectations for!

I stayed here recently on a business trip. After I checked in I used disinfectant wipes to clean all of the hard surfaces as I always do. The room was acceptably clean. Later however I noticed a smear of blood on the start white comforter. I called the front desk and the brought a new one to my door. I opened the door and invited her in and she gave me this look of horror and stated, "I can't come in there." She handed me comforter and I put the one with the blood on the desk which I never use. The next day I called the front desk and asked them to retrieve the soiled comforter and remake the bed with fresh bedding which was done. They left typical BW Rewards snack bag as well. When I returned to the room I couldn't find the remote for the tv so I called the front desk and the hotel manager brought me a new one. He apologized for the comforter and seemed sincere. It turned out to be lip service. He told me he would be crediting my BW account for the trouble. They issued me 500 points. That's it. 500 points for blood on a comforter in the Covid era. They also didn't issue me my stay points. I'm assuming they didn't do this because my stay is a discounted corporate rate. The room itself was fine for what I paid. It is aging and needs to me renovated. The carpet to tile transition is fraying and looks terrible. The exterior door near my room didn't lock at night. I went to my car for an item after midnight and when I approached the door it opened without my needing to unlock it. This is a disappointing stay.

Hotel is exceptionally clean (COVID crisis standards being applied) and staff was friendly and helpful. The modified breakfasts were very good and incorporated variety as best as can be expected with the current guidelines and requirement they be pre-packed (vs. items selected individually by the guest). Only note of concern is several staff members were either not wearing masks or wearing them incorrectly and mask regulations were not enforced with guests who were walking in the halls, etc. without them. That said, I would definitely recommend staying here (and will should the need arise) - just be aware that not everyone is complying with mask requirements (of course, this is the same everywhere).

This was a last minute vacation. We're very knowledgeable when I called. Helpful in every question I asked. I would recommend this inn at this location to everyone who need a room close to the beach. Everyone was pleasant.

This hotel knows how to do customer service. They have the friendliest staff. Millie at the front desk is down to earth and very helpful and easy to talk to. She checked us right in early after our nightmare at another off brand hotel. Carlos helped us find the pool and walked with us. Manager is also very nice and helpful. Pretty and clean lobby area. Beautiful large conference center area behind the pool. Bathroom is very clean with good water pressure. Toilet flushed well and is at a caddy corner angle .. Neither bad or good just different. Pool area looks new or freshly renovated. Water is warm and clean. Enjoyed pool time a lot. Quick shower near pool. No hot tub though. Have to go out of pool area to walk to conference bathroom. But what a huge and very nice immaculate bathroom it is. Room Towels are big, fresh and soft not scratchy. It has a good sized fridge. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. Cute little closet with ironing board, iron and the hairdryer haunging in there. Everything was functional and modern. I didn't like the bulbs in the lamps which are a white white, not anything to deduct points for though. Lamps had outlets for charging... big plus. Big desk where my daughter did her school work. Strong wi-fi. Pay laundry area is very convenient. Cute mini golf place with waterfall across the street. Centrally located with most things in walking distance. Beach is about a 5 minute drive away. Had a very welcoming, safe and comfortable stay for the price. We would definately stay again.

The worst place I have ever been to. Went outside at 7 PM to have a cigarette. The lady at the front desk came out and said either go to your room or leave. My son booked his wedding there as well as all the family rooms. We went to the smoking area in the gazebo, she came out again, hollered at us, called the police and kicked us out. I did not attend my sons reception as she was harassing other family members asking if I was going to be there. I will never stay at another best western as it's clear they have no customer service skills. Zero rating here. Other family members where harrassed throughout their stay and left.

Where do I begin... Here goes, my family and I walk in to our room to it dirty, hair all over the bathroom floor, god only knows what else it was on the floor, absolutely disgusting. Dried up liquid (no idea what it was) all over the desk and tv stand. The rooms are so dirty, I know we decided to travel during a pandemic but They sent email after email about their vigorous cleaning routine... LIES. They put us in another room for that room to have no hot water and no one there to even check to see why there was no hot water. The receptionist didn't have any idea what to do so she let us shower in another room. So we had to walk back and fourth to take showers. I have 2 small kids. Not to mention the mold going all the way up the wall in that room. We didn't get hot water in our room until the next day around 6 o'clock. I would have left the hotel and stayed elsewhere but they had taken the money out of my account before we even arrived. So I was stuck. They offered no compensation at all. I contacted customer service And they weren't much help either. The hotel had a week to respond to customer service, the hotel emailed back and said they had contacted me but of course they hadn't. Make a long story short, after calling customer service 4 times, the hotel offered a 20% refund on just one night. Never ever again will I stay there. There are many other things but I'll save that for when I call the health department.

Where to begin...my daughter almost fell through the poorly attached balcony after sitting in what I think was blood and ruining her white shorts. The door doesn't go all the way up. The cleaning people left my door completely open for who knows how long. There was blood on the toilet paper and puke in the sink. They lie about their cleaning policy The blonde-haired lady is very rude and combative. And, so much more!!!

Hotel messed up our booking, and then charged a double room back to us when it was their fault, and proven.....a/c unit didn't function normally, Walla so this all the kids on the floor screaming wouldn't let me get sleep.

The check-in process was very good, the room was clean and bed was comfortable. The hotel was only a couple miles from our fishing charter, free parking and a good place to eat right across the street.

I had fresh food stains on both of my topper comforters. They were both raised and fresh stains not wear and tear. My under comforter had a sticky red candy spot. Walls had two orange splatters of something. Not good to forget to change these. Especially during Covid19 pandemic. Also only gave me 2 face towels when I booked the room for 4 people. Pool was closed and morning breakfast closed due to the pandemic. I only received an email about this after I had already booked the room.

We traveled to NH to visit my daughter at UNH. Going to a hockey game that night. Check in late after game around 9:00pm. Checked in took 5 minutes. Went to room very clean. Heater made a little noise at night. overall experience was very good.

The staff was very pleasant, the suite was clean, the breakfast had large selection including eggs, sausage, make it yourself waffles, fruits cereals... The staff in the restaurant was pleasant and efficient, keeping trays full, tables clean and offering help when needed. The hotel is not the most grand or elegant, but the location, cleanliness, warm cookies and coffee upon arrival and value make it perfect!

We wanted a quick getaway for a holiday weekend, and really were just looking for a place with an indoor pool for the kids to play in. The kids loved the pool, and we spent several hours hanging out and swimming. The breakfast was pretty good, with a variety of options - about what you'd expect from an included hotel buffet breakfast. The hotel has a slightly confusing layout, and the hallways were very cold (though it was incredibly cold outside as well), but the rooms were large, and the beds were comfy. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, from the front desk to the breakfast staff, and even the staff member who insisted on helping me clear the snow off my car when we were checking out. Since it was the off season, the hotel wasn't too busy, which was nice. I'd consider staying here again for a quick local getaway.

"Top Flight Hotel Despite Confusing Layout"

First the (only) negative: the hotel was obviously built in stages, and, given the in-town location, the result is a confusing floor plan. There are several entrances, more than two levels, connected by a hallway with a ramp and a couple of turns. And the room numbering makes no sense (Room 160 was on the second floor). It took us 10 minutes to find our room - with directions. Once we got to our room, all that was forgotten. The room was spacious, well-appointed and comfortable, with a high, sloping ceiling of natural wood. Decent size fridge, microwave and small, very clean bath. Breakfast (included) was very good, with 2 staff and real plates, cups and flatware. Would be our hotel of choice in the area, now that we understand the layout.

The service st this hotel was what I can imagine a 5 star hotel in the 50s would have. We lacked for nothing. It far surpassed my expectations. This is the second time we have stayed here and this time was even better than the last. This time we had to cut our stay short one day due to upcoming weather along our trip home (the nasty predictions were correct). There was no penalty for dropping the last night's stay as we had booked directly with BW.

When I arrived at the Inn, I was greeted by friendly and helpful representatives at the front desk. Check-in was painless and quick. They briefly explained about the room, facility, complimentary breakfast, and even the coffee, tea and delicious cookies at the front table! The room couldn't be anymore cleaner and comfortable. I had a king size bed which was great. I left a generous tip for the hard working folks who take care of the rooms. I used the fitness room treadmill which was fine. The breakfast was great. Plenty of options for your taste. For dinner, there was a convenient and excellent restaurant across the street. Great, I didn't feel like driving anywhere. I would definitely stay here again and tell others.

Everything was top notch. Staff were all extremely helpful and professional. I would live here if I could.Great continental breakfast. Heated pool. Wifi is sketchy, but its the area, not the hotels fault. I left some things in the hall and an employee Millie called me and told me about it and held them for me.

We arrived rather late ( around 10:00pm) with 3 cranky kids who has been in a car all day. The guy at the front desk was fast and gave us a suite. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable! The pool was very warm and relaxing! I will for sure stay again when in the area!

Outdated, room smells of old cigarettes. Piles of cigarettes butts outside sliding door. Reminds me of low income housing. Pool looked very old and dirty with brown areas. Breakfast was okay. Website is deceiving.

Great choice for a clean room, a great comfortable bed, and amazing breakfast. Staff is so pleasant, and i am very fussy about cleanliness, this room as well as another BW recently were spotless. I will be now always look for a BW when traveling.

"Bad smell from A/C in room"

Our stay at the Best Western was somewhat disappointing. We paid extra for a larger room and, to be fair, the room was a good size with a decent fridge, microwave, TV, etc. It was generally clean but dated and in need of refurbishment. The tiled entranceway to the room looked clean but was very sticky - our feet stuck to it as we entered. We cleaned it ourselves using wet tissues and this revealed the floor to be actually quite dirty. This suggests the cleaning substances being used are less than ideal. The shower/bath was a very odd and dated design with strange slanting built in shelves. The bath had some repair evidence in the basin. The worst thing about the room was a horrible acrid smell which high us upon entering. It was hard to pin down but somewhat like cat urine. We suspected the air con unit as the source and when we went out the next day we switched it off and left the windows open. Right enough, the room was less smelly on our return which seemed to back up the A/C unit as the source. Perhaps we were just unlucky in having a smelly unit in our room but I think the hotel should seriously investigate the smell issue as it's been mentioned in several previous reviews and perhaps a thorough clean of the air con units would resolve it. Breakfast was poor with watered down fruit juice and baked goods that lacked in any taste. Definitely not worth the money. This was more like a budget hotel experience for mid-range cost. The smell was dreadful and we should have raised it at the time but were too tired to be bothered with the hassle.

Great check in. The staff escorted us to our room as we needed wheelchair accessible, so they upgraded us to a suite at no additional charge. It is a very large motel. It was very nice. My o ly problem was on our second night we went to use the microwave and inside was a paper plate full of moldy food. It had been there awhile. That was disgusting.

My wife and I were in Hampton on business and we spent 3 nights in one of the suites. I'm an architectural photographer so I travel with several heavy cases of equipment. I greatly appreciated the convenience of conference center entrance at the rear of the building. Parking, elevator access and layout of the building made coming and going with our equipment very easy. The staff could not have been nicer of more helpful. This is one of my favorite hotels!

From the outside, this hotel looked just fine. I will say, the receptionist was one of the friendliest, most helpful we've ever met! And the facility is conveniently located. There is a pervasive unpleasant disinfectant type of smell in the hall and in the room that I never stopped smelling. The bathroom, however, was the most problematic--slow draining sink, dangerously slippery shower. This shower enclosure looked new, but had a terrible design--it was all curves. Every shampoo bottle kept falling off the curvy shelves and I couldn't find a place to stand facing the showerhead that allowed my feet to be flat because the sides curved so dramatically. Also I could never locate the hot water setting on the shower faucet. It was either cold or lukewarm no matter how I turned it. Brr... I think I'd look elsewhere for a place to stay next time.

Our stay at the best Western in Hampton New Hampshire was outstanding. Because of some issues, we were upgraded to an executive suite. This was done with no hesitation by the front desk. I had trouble connecting to the Wi-Fi . Ismail Made numerous attempts to fix this. He was finally successful and apologized for the delay. The room was great, and very clean. The breakfast were varied and delicious. All in all, my wife and I enjoyed our stay.

Great location very friendly staff . Super breakfast always fresh and very clean. Check in is easy and fast, same goes for check out. Always fresh coffee 24 hrs a day, snacks also available. Would always recommend this hotel !

I arrived and Millie greeted me with a welcoming smile. She was very informative and made sure our check in was smooth. She gave me the room 180 right next to the breakfast and pool. With a little one is very convenient. My toddlers got hurt with the door and I did not have bandages and I called guest service Millie came up to the room and brought me bandages right away and even helped my toddler to calm him down. She truly is pleasant and nurturing. Thank you Millie for being so sweet to us. I will definitely be coming back for the service I received when I stayed at BW!

The room was clean, comfortable queen beds. The bathroom had very little vanity space, bathtub/shower oddly shaped (too small for my husband who is over 6 ft ), no grab bars. Very noisy neighbors, doors slamming, not a quiet place ! During our visit the town had a water ban due to high levels of bacteria. My girlfriend who we were visiting with, texting me the situation of the water ban since we were from out of state. The hotel never said anything ! No notes were left in the room, no bottled water left in the room. I had to locate a room attendant and ask for water. Not happy with poor communication. As it turns out the water test was the result of a false/positive reading but if it was real the outcome may have been very different !

I was nervous about traveling alone with my girls (6 yrs and 18 months). The kids were restless when we arrived, but the check-in manager was really nice. There was a technical issue on their end and they couldn't read my credit card, but they gave us a room anyway. They had us unpack and have dinner, and the glitch was set when we came back. The room was really nice. It was clean, the bed was comfortable (aside from the toddler sleeping on my face). The breakfast was good, and the staff talked with my toddler (made sure she didn't fall out of her seat) while I helped my oldest make a waffle. A quick ride to the beach meant there was tons of good parking for the day.

great service pretty average breakfast outdated bathrooms but clean..its a decent value but definitely not a 4 star hotel. It does the trick for a cheaper alternative for a waterfront hotel. I would stay again.

The staff was respectful, professional, helpful, and informative. We were made to feel that we were his main focus and that our satisfaction was important. The room was simple, but clean, however we did notice a slight odor which was similar to a damp smell, which is the only reason for 4/5. Little noise. Accommodating with nice added extras in the room. We would return in the future.

Clean and updated. Wonderful mattress. Great nights sleep. Loved the updated rooms. Smelled clean upon arrival. Would recommend to everyone. Can't wait to stay there again. Breakfast was yummy. Even had almond milk for my coffee.

We travelled here in June on the way back from a trip to Maine. The staff was helpful, the room was clean and was large enough for our family. The breakfast was good. We would stay there again. Indoor pool was also nice.

No elevator. Did not participate in the breakfast buffet. My husband could not take anything to bring to me in the room, when I was not feeling well. Went to McDonald's. Mostly clean, rugs could use shampooing. The people in the next room is my biggest complaint.

We stayed the first night of our vacation in Hampton and then for 9 days we traveled in USA and in Canada. We enjoyed our first night so much for quality/price/breakfast that we tried to stay at other BW whenever we could. We even got upgraded once.

Cute little hotel . Was clean and had a very good breakfast. Very big selection of food items . Comfortable bed and pillows , would stay again ! The only thing is I booked on booking.com for one rate then the couple in front of me just walked in a was given a cheaper rate than I had booking a month ahead .so that was kind of a bummer .

My family has been going up to NH every year. We have stayed in this Best Western Plus many times. This past visit sucked in plain English. The room was damp and clammy,everything got wet, or moist. The AC didn't remove any moisture at all. They didn't even touch our room. None of the beds were made. The soap, towels etc. Were not touched. When confronting the management we were told that they have a policy of not touching anything if the bed has anything on it. They don't want any liability. So, 2 little kid nightgowns and 2 stuffed animals prevented them from making up our room. That has to be a first for me because we travel. Hell, some places not only make the bed, but fold the nightgowns and prop the stuffed animals up on the bed in such a way as to greet you when you arrive back at your room after they clean it. Obviously this Best Western plus is only interested in $ and forgot how to treat their patrons. I can give them a chance for them to make up for this poor visit, but I am not considering them again as a place to give my time and money to when I visit back to that area of NH. Go there at your own risk, but be forewarned that the service you are paying extra for is not there like it used to be.

We stopped and spent one night here to breakup the drive to Maine. Selected it for price point and close proximity to Hampton Beach State Park. Hotel was nice and clean. Overall hotel and room decor a little dated but pleasant staff and comfortable accommodations for our family of five for the one night. Breakfast included in stay was a plus and had some decent options.

Traveling for work and stumbled on this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I try to exercise while traveling and the gyms treadmill didn't work but other than that, it was quiet and clean!

Upon check in, we discovered that some of the bedding was stained. We immediately contacted the front desk, and the manager came to the room so that he could determine the problem. We were only seeking a different room, but he upgraded us to a suite. I wasn't able to connect to the hi speed internet with my computer, but I was with my phone (my Windows 10 on the computer was in need of an update, which is probably why so I don't blame the hotel). The breakfast wasn't outstanding but was still better than many other chains and the attendants were more alert than many others. The breakfast and hotel in general was not very crowded and very quiet; but they do host banquets/receptions (none during our stay) so I'm guessing that could very well be a different story if one is there. Although a tad pricey, not all that bad for the area. I would stay here again.

The rooms were older but sparkling clean plu they had a fridge with a large freezer. Very helpful for long distance traveler. The A/C heat worked very well. Many units aren't able to switch from heat to cool without problems. This did fine. I will stay at BW again.

The beds were cleaned after the first night. Two days in and the bedding hasn't been cleaned. The cleaning staff was very pushy and tried to get in the room with my kids still in bed. I'm not sure why because all they did was put a garbage bag in the garbages. We took our own garbage out. We asked for a role of tissue and never got one. Coffee maker wasn't cleaned either and the floor wasn't vacuumed. The place definitely needs to be managed better.

Excellent choice when traveling, started me day to camp out at beach. Turned out to be a lot colder then thought at last minute decided to book a room. The rate I got was great and the amenities where awesome. The room was spotless, pillows a bit soft but that was ok. Bathroom spotless and shower newer and modern. There was a refrigerator in room, microwave and iron. You can damn sure tell these people care about their property. Oh did I mention cookies at checkin and full breakfast including eggs, sausage, pancakes, hash browns ECT. Indoor swimming pool and small game room. Hidden gem that I never expected, 5 stars for this hotel and Best Western chain.

I have stayed here a number of times in the past but this is the first time since the rebranding as Best Western. The updates and upgrades were long over due. It looks so much better. Clean and modern. Front desk staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Unfortunately WiFi was down for a long time. This place will remain my first choice in the area.

From the moment I entered the hotel I felt at ease. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was well lit so I didn't feel as though I were spelunking as I do in many hotels that skimp on light bulbs. The bed was very comfortable. It was quiet. The room was very clean. The bathroom was clean and this hotel doesn't skimp on towels. I wanted to buy a dozen from them on my way out the door. I'd stay here again and I recommend it highly

I'm a frequent, frugal traveler on a budget typically looking for lodging bargain, always accompanied by Mike, now a gentle old soul of a Chocolate Lab. Recently having been treated terribly by the cheaper chains -- Super 8 and Motel 6 come immediately to mind -- I've been experimenting with paying a bit more in the hopes of having a more peaceful stay. The Best Western Plus / Inn At Hampton met my needs completely ... though wouldn't likely do so during summer months. That's because I received a Hotel Coupons price that was in line with my expectations, in an area I assume is very price-competitive during off-season months. That worked very much in my favor: I was having difficulty finding a reasonably priced place to stay in the Merrimack Valley ... so I drove the 35 miles east to this place. I found the desk clerk very friendly and the room comfortable, larger than most (with a kind bed) and comfortable. The place was pet friendly but I didn't mention Mike was a guest when I checked in ... but we came in a back entrance (with auto-opening door) that was very convenient. The breakfast was your usual fare -- somewhat dry scrambled eggs, greasy sausages, etc. -- but there were a few extras added, like French toast and home fries. The king room was quiet, and offered a fridge, microwave and a decent size television. The internet worked great. The property had great conference facilities and an indoor pool, with ample parking. So ... a five star stay, given I had zero complaints and a comfortable stay. But as I say, my guess is you will likely pay more in the summer for a room here.

The manager is professional yet very friendly and caring. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. Check in and check out is fast and easy. Child slept on floor because front clerk never said room we reserved was out of service until we got there. Moldy coffee filters. No replaced towels or trash removed..barelt any hot water. Breakfast times where cold.

This hotel is a nice find. Convenient location to many sites, 3 miles maybe from the beach, Rte 1 connects easily to other major routes to the mountains or inland, clean rooms, pleasant staff, quiet rooms, nice breakfast selections and reasonably priced. And, there are always cookies available to the guests, in-room coffee makers and bottled water upon arrival. There is an indoor pool if interested and I believe some weight room items.

The hotel is definitely dated. The staff was friendly. Breakfast is mediocre at best. Pillows are the worst in terms of comfort of any hotel I've ever stayed in. Location is convenient, the rooms seemed clean even though the downstairs hallways smell musky and old. Logan's Run across the street is a huge plus when you're a guest here. Food is delicious and service unmatched.

The staff was absolutely the best very friendly and understanding and helpful!! As to we showed up to breakfast 5 mins prior to closing but the staff continued to bring out fresh food to keep everything restocked! Where I've been to other best westerns and have been rushed and not given a option to get certain things due to us coming down late.... as well as they were very accommodating when it came to checking out late extra late... I of course left a awesome tip to show my appreciation and the staff where very helpful as well as kind to myself and my family so my children could swim a little longer as well as giving me plenty of time to pack everything up without feeling rushed!! Thanks again totally will stay again!!

We had a wedding to attend in this area. We booked here for a combination of price and proximity. When I looked at our time line, I realized that we may have to drive the 3 hrs from our home dressed for the wedding as the 3pm check in was so close to the time we had to be at the chapel. I called the morning of the wedding to see if an early check-in was a possibility so that we could dress for the wedding after our drive.. Millie made it happen, and I got a nice upgrade as well. This courtesy was so appreciated. Millie was so friendly, courteous and professional. The front exterior of the property is lacking curb appeal, but inside all was well. The room was spacious and very clean, had everything we needed. The bed was super comfy. The only thing I didn't care for were the heavily scented bath products; I was happy I had brought my own. The breakfast room was huge and easily accommodated quite a crowd that they had over a major leaf peeping weekend. I would stay at this property again.

Front desk lady on check in was extremely helpful and nice. There is an indoor pool (didn't use) and they do provide a breakfast daily....some of the food was not the greatest quality (eggs, pancakes etc.) but there is a wide choice of food items. Clean and comfortable rooms. They have a connected conference facility and there is a washer/dryer available for laundry.

How on earth this hotel is awarded ‘Plus' status by Best Western?? For a start it doesn't have a lift, it's poorly decorated, our wash basin was cracked, the walls in the bathroom were dirty, the room was dark and smelt and one bed had three metal catches sticking out. The staff were unhelpful and had sadly had an attitude. On top of the hotel is incredibly expensive, we paid $251.99 per night for a room with paper thin walls.

Room was very clean. The motel was equipped with in door pool, weight room, delicious breakfast. The employees were very nice. The outside and inside of the motel was very neat. It was located only a few miles from the beach, and you could actually walk if you want to a local eatery and store for drinks, gas, etc.

We were one night in family room. Room was very nice ! Also Service was friendly and hotel is in good location! Great choice for this price! Will definitely check this when visiting again in Hampton NH. Breakfast food was excellent the hotel was nice and clean. We were here for 2 nights while my husband was in a training session for work. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The hot breakfast was nicely presented and the staff super courteous. We want to give an extra big TY to Joyce. My husband's cell phone got left behind. Joyce brought it to lost and found. Highly recommend.

Everything was clean. I can tell that they make a very good attempt to keep everything clean because I could smell the cleaning solution. The room was comfortable and the bed was fine. The breakfast in the morning was nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. Note: I signed up to be a BW rewards member, but my stay did not qualify at the corporate rate. That may be an issue for some of you.

"Curtains Don't Close"

My family checked out Hampton Beach for a summer end getaway. The Best Western was a nice hotel, BUT the room we were placed in (#125) had one window and it faced a back alley. Looked sheisty so I figured I would close the dark brown curtain, so my kids wouldn't be scared. Well, guess what? The curtain didn't slide to close. So I clipped the curtains together to give us some privacy. BUT, the AC unit is located under the window and the pinned curtain blocked the cold air. So our room was HOT. The next thing was people shooting off fireworks in the parking lot. I understand fireworks are legal in NH, but at 12AM, it was a nuisance. We didn't make a fuss about it because it was only 1 night stay. The breakfast was OK. the room was big and spacious which I liked. The indoor pool had warm water and it was nice until some other adults came into the room with beer cans in their hands. We managed to stay in the pool for about 45 minutes until I said it was time to go as they just sat there staring at my family. I thought it was going to get like "Deliverance" in NH for a minute. All in all, very clean hotel and staff as accommodating.

We stayed for one night on August 11th, during a mini-getaway with our close friends. We had booked two rooms next to each other, and the check-in process was fine. We found the rooms to be very spacious and comfortable. After leaving our bags in our rooms, we left to visit the beach area before enjoying dinner at a local restaurant. After then returning to our rooms later in the evening, our friends were unable to get into their room because the door lock mechanism was malfunctioning. The Manager-on-duty attempted to open the door but was unsuccessful. After trying a couple of different things and making some phone calls (apparently), there was still no solution to the problem. Eventually, our friends were placed in another room to relax while Management attempted to get the door open. Our friends ended up having to spend all night in the "holding" room without any of their belongings. This was a major inconvenience especially since one of them is currently pregnant. I know that they didn't get much sleep that night, and the next morning, when an off-duty former Maintenance worker was finally able to get the door open, the Front Desk Manager and staff were less than sympathetic to the situation. I understand that Maintenance issues happen, but I don't feel that enough was done to rectify the situation upon check-out. I think that we were offered a slight discount for our next stay, but we won't be returning if this is the level of communication and customer service that takes place at this hotel. Coming from someone who has worked in the Hospitality industry for almost 10 years, this was a very disappointing experience.

Excellent customer service. We arrived a little early but were immediately assigned a room. Large pool that is easily accessible. Courteous and helpful staff. Room was average size but very clean. The parking lot is more than ample. Good breakfast served in a spacious room.

"NEXT TO A CREMATORIUM!!!"

The hotel was OK. Room was a little old, but clean. Very strange and uncomfortable bath/shower. Staff was nice. But it was about 50 feet from a crematorium!!! Our room's window looked right at the chimney! It was very creepy. I moved my car, concerned that there would be dead people ashes on it. Also, doors are paper thin. You heard doors slamming all day and night.

A little dingy and felt cramped by lower ceilings, dark colors and narrow hallways. Pool was nice. Breakfast buffet was above average. Executive suites were way in the back above the small conference center, park around the back if you have one of those.

when we travel we usually stay at a best western to earn points toward a free night. this best western was also very good offering an indoor pool, clean rooms and a free breakfast. the breakfast area was actually the biggest one i have seen at a best western and was well attended to. there is a family style restaurant directly across the street which was also very good along with a mini-golf course also within walking distance. it is a two story hotel but you will need to carry your bags up the stairs. other than that, a good place to stay in the area, located minutes from the beach.

First and last stay for us. All the rooms our family booked need rénovation. The Hotel is old, strange odors, humidity. Beds very un confortable, no extra bed available and the agent told me there would be at the réservation. No coins to use the laundry machine. The bath is full of black spot. No elevator.

We stayed at the Best Western - Hampton on our way from Boston to Portland. Our rooms were clean and spacious, with cathedral ceilings. The 5 of us split two rooms. Check in and check out was easy and though there's not a lot to do in Hampton, you're near most of the things, especially Smuttynose Brewing. The breakfast was larger than continental and included in our stay, though it was mediocre food. Overall, a good place to stay!

I thought I was making a reservation thru Best Western but it was thru reservations.com. Seconds after I made the reservation I tried to cancel on-line. The site would not allow me to do this. So I called reservation.com. They told me it was non-refundable. The support person on the phone said she called the manager of the Best Western, Hampton, NH and he gave a verbal waiver on the non-refund. For 2 1/2 weeks of phone calls to reservation.com they kept telling me I would get my refund. Yesterday, they sent me an e-mail stating that the hotel manager decided not to give the waiver. To summarize, you do not know this is non-refundable until after you make the reservation. Recommend you use other means besides reservation.com. The other sites say “refunds if cancelled within 24 hours. Reservations.com rips off people!

We ended up here by chance on a Saturday night...in Hampton for a concert and needed a place close to the beach/boardwalk to stay. Looked on Expedia and called the hotel directly since we were on the road and had nowhere to go from noon until check-in time. Ishmail took our reservation and made a sincere effort to accommodate us, in fact so much that upon arrival he gave us the first room which became available, at 12:30, and it happened to be a suite for the same price of the standard double which we had reserved on the phone 30 minutes before. He was so very friendly throughout check in as well, and this continued right through checkout, including cooling down the little fitness room immediately upon request; allowing easy late checkout; and staying on top of the lobby coffee like a champ. The room was very clean, cool, and comfy, and I was confident that if any of these hadn't been so, Ishmail would've turned things around anyway. We would undoubtedly stay here again.

Got the Triple Queen Suite for a few days with my daughters! It was perfect, and location is great! Visited Canobie Lake Park and the beaches. Mini golf across the street was nice! The pool was great. Nice big breakfast before we headed out to adventure.

Everything here was great- check-in fast and friendly, coffee and tea available in the lobby, adequate parking, room (1 king bed) good size, we liked we could open the window and let some fresh air in, bed very comfortable, everything clean. Breakfast was fantastic and the grounds are peaceful, we spent a few minutes enjoying the gazebo. One thing we were looking for was a fitness room, this one was ok, better than some we've experienced on this trip. Cardio equipment was lower end but worked. Cable machine had some frayed cables, water dispenser had no water, little floor space which was ok since there was only 2 of us, but our biggest issue was it got super hot in the small room with no airflow. If there was a way to have it a bit cooler/some air movement, it would be bit more bearable. We would stay here again.

This was our first time here and it was a nice hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the rooms were very nice, spacious and clean. Our room was on the small side with one double bed. We were right next to the front desk and got noise from the parking lot and the reception area. The room did not smell as good as it should probably cleaning chemicals but was not unbearable. The breakfast was just ok-I expected better from a Best Western Plus. Overall just a fair one night stay.

the location is convenient to Portsmouth and beach , the room is nice is and clean, but outdated -mold in the bathroom, the pool is small, breakfast is ok , but as someone mentioned -the hotel is located next to crematorium, and the smell at the hotel is really weird, and during few hours in the evening the smell was intolerable, even it was rain and heavy wind, I can not imagine how it will smell in the summer. I kind of can not get over this smell even after we left one more thing -the walls are very thin and our neighbors were very noisy

We got adjoining rooms and the high vaulted wood ceilings blew us away. It was so pretty inside. Rooms were clean and staff was really helpful throughout our overnight stay. Breakfast had a larger selection than most free breakfasts do. Definitely a hidden gem and price was reasonable.

Not bad for the money but the beds are not comfortable. The toliets in the bathroom are the lowest I've ever seen. Was clean and breakfast was good. They have 2 entrance one into the lobby and the other at the other end of the hotel were you can just walk in, seemed a bit strange

This hotel exceeded our expectations. We visited in April and paid a very low rate through Priceline. The room was clean, and the beds were impressively comfortable. The pool temperature was perfect, there were plenty of towels available. Breakfast was certainly a highlight because the breakfast bar was well maintained, and the offerings showed care and variety.

Unable to drive in blizzard conditions. Stopped at Hampton Inn Exeter. Completely booked. The front desk attendant referred me to the Best Western Hampton as his girlfriend was the front desk attendant there. They had vacancies. Standard hotel size room. Clean. Functional. Able to catch a good movie. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast that comes with the room. A very good overall value.

Ok, stayed here for two days, the rooms are tiny and extremely outdated, it should be called a microtel...no way should this be considered a Best Western PLUS...the whole place is just set up weird...and the breakfast was nasty...everything was overcooked and hard...we didn't dare to eat it....the people were certainly nice enough but this place is a dud....old and musty smelling...stay away from this one...it's not worth the price...

This hotel is the correct hotel located on Rte 1 Lafayette Road in Hampton across from the pirate golf course and next to the funeral home that is Remicks seems they did not care to discuss my dislike of the establishment or my complaints of the people there for a running race. But now respond by saying I've complained about the wrong location. I know where I stayed and the issues we had are correct. It was horrible and the room was old and dirty. The breakfast was not free they said we had to pay for it in less we had a complimentary ticket which we did not. Easier to say I'm complaining about the wrong location rather than address the problems when customer is complaining to you or staff directly. Maybe I should let my credit card company know I've been charged for a hotel room of a place I did not stay at, per the management?

We stayed here for a Reunion in the area, and where told upon check in that they where booked full, due to some road race going on. These Road Race Folks where VERY LOUD! I had requested a first floor room due to hip issues and I do not do stairs well. We got a second floor room over the POOL area which smelled of chlorine so bad that I instantly became congested. The room also smelled faintly of chlorine. The stairs where carpeted and dirty looking, and I had a tough time climbing them with my hip throbbing with each step, since they where very narrow and high steps. I called the front desk and complained but was told we got the last room available. The next morning as I dried off from my shower I noticed lots of black hairs in the tub, I am BLONDE and so is my husband. YUCK! We both felt stiff from sleeping on the hard beds. We made our way down to the continently breakfast and the smell of pool was strong as we entered the restaurant which is on the other side of the pool from our room. We thought it was free breakfast but where told NO just free coffee. Nothing being served even looked remotely appetizing so we opted toot eat, but go somewhere else. When we checked out I complained of the smell of pool, the 2nd floor room and how I had requested a 1st floor room due to waking issues, and that the room was not clean, and the beds hard as boards. The man who had checked us in the day before told us OH we are so sorry, you should have requested another room. I said I did but you stated you where full. He said Oh no we always have a few extra rooms just in case your not satisfied., I hope your next stay with us is better. I said Oh No we won't ever be back, but I will be certain to let friends and family know how the stay was!! I was also not impressed with the VANS full of people that parked in handicapped spots and where all hollering and ringing cow bells in I assume celebration for there Runners! Wish I had been told it would be a loud crowded weekend, because I much rather pay $385.00 for 1 nights stay for a more upscale luxury hotel in another area, than a run down dump in Hampton NH with staff that likes to pretend they are being helpful after the fact.

The place itself was very nice. It was clean and had all in the room that was promised. The desk clerk that was on when we checked in did not seem to know what she was doing. We had prepaid and she tried to charge us again. Just seemed to be new. We were given the first room right at the entrance and being New Years eve we could hear it bang shut all night. All in all it was not a total bad experience.

Had a very nice stay at this hotel, great location for Hampton area, and very good caring service. Close to dining areas and close to the beach and the costal ports. Ideal if you wish to visit Portsmouth and not want to pay the big bucks.

everything about the hotel was wonderful. I tried to get a room in August but the manager (sunny) didn't get back to me. This was an auction coupon with no payment to the hotel. I ended up going in December as a second choice. I recommend this place if not getting it on the auction and wanting to go in the summer.

Older hotel not updated...not particularly clean...hair in shower and toilet seat...yuck. Food on floor in lobby when I entered to check in. Maid service did not attend to room until late afternoon when we were getting ready for a party even though we requested it be done early in the AM.

We stayed at this hotel in the past and were pleased with this establishment so we returned. And, as we expected, all was good and we had no problems. It was off-season so it was quiet, which we liked. Included in the price was breakfast which had a nice but basic assortment of food.The scrambled eggs however were "dry". The bed was extremely comfortable! We would stay here again.

This is the absolute worst Best Western I have ever stayed it. It definitely should not be called a BW Plus, nor should it even be part of the BW chain. The room was dirty, with filthy carpet. The hall carpet was also dirty. Furniture was ancient wood with finish peeling off, doors were ancient. Doors didn't close automatically. Security doors to outside didn't close automatically. Security doors weren't locked late at night. There was a strong smell of perfume in the room that gave us headaches. There was trash outside our sliding glass door. This hotel needs to be remodeled ASAP and removed from being a BW Plus. It tarnishes this hotel chain's otherwise excellent image.

We will be staying here in the future. Clean comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast. Easy check in. Efficient housekeeping staff. Used pool 3 times a day. Used treadmill daily. So much to do in the area shopping, concerts, near LL Bean outlet. Easy to get to. I highly recommend it.

Only as a last resort. The deadbolt on the door did not work because there was no hole for it in the door jam. The separate bathtub/toilet room was tiny and it's door was warped and barely shut. Shower kept running out of hot water. The room's 'carpeting' was gross.

I had 3 issues with this hotel: 1. The coffee pot was not cleaned. The previous guest put the coffee in the water tank. I had to clean it by myself. I didn't report the problem 2. They only give 4 bags for coffee for my 3-day staying. They didn't refresh the coffee after my 1st day. 3. I specifically asked for a quite room when I checked in. I was assigned a room which a window near a big fan (don't know what it is). The fan can turn on during night which can be very noisy.

Best Western Plus The Inn at Hampton, New Hampshire was very nice. The property was well maintained, the room was very clean and very clean bathroom. Bed was comfortable, room was nicely decorated and location was good. Breakfast had a lot of options, however, the eggs weren't very appealing! But, for breakfast being included, the french toast, home fries, sausage, juice, fresh fruit and muffins were very good! Will definitely return and stay at this property.

Off the plane,in a car and off to our first stop.was a nice drive Up to Hampton with lovely afternoon sun and hot! The receptionist was great, and as I had a problem with my knee had booked us into an appropriate room with a low bath. She phoned us up a while later and asked if everything was ok, She also helped us out with the laundry facilities, she really was helpful( can't remember her name but her home was in another state with lots of farms, so not a city girl). Free breakfast was good and set us up for the day. Stayed here for 3 days as we hadn't been to this part before. Hampton beach wasn't far away- lovely, along with the rest of the coast. It is on a main road and next to a funeral home, but they have plenty of rooms if you don't want to overlook it. Has an indoor pool which we didn't use but looked good.

Cannot say enough for General Manager Sunny, and his team like Jerry, Lexi and all who made us feel at home and welcomed. Our mother had died and we not only had to make arrangements for her funeral but also to provide rooms for other family coming in. When told of our situation, Sunny said, "no problem" and he was absolutely right. I cannot tell you how comforting it was knowing he and Best Western would take care of all our lodging needs. His staff treated our entire family with courtesy, kindness and professionalism during our extended stay....we thank them all for their compassion. We could have stayed at various local hotels but we are very glad we chose and stayed at this Best Western Plus. It was very clean, convenient to shopping, services and local beaches. Breakfast had a variety of items for everyone. We don't usually stay at Best Western but that will change in the future. Thanks again Sunny and your entire staff for all that you did to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. We sincerely hope Best Western shows their appreciation for all that you do for your valued guests.

My wife and I joined two friends from our home town in Brockville ON Canada on Monday Sept 18, 2017 for a mini vacation, and for the location and exceptional value, the Best Western Plus The Inn At Hampton was chosen. We occupied 2 ground floor rooms, which were both King bed rooms, nicely appointed with full bathroom with toiletries, flat-screen TV with free HBO, sports etc, a fridge, microwave and coffee maker, and free Wi-Fi. A 'standard' breakfast buffet was included. The hotel also boasts an indoor pool, exercise room, and conference facilities for up to 500. The staff on the front desk were friendly and professional. We would use this property again and highly recommend it.

Upon arrival first visit to our rooms bathroom walls were.terrible dirty. Further inspection so was the shower the mirror and our washcloths the bedside stand included a bible ....swimming in a sticky liquid room smelled of dirty carpet or vacuum unsure which! The cleaning staff when greeted didn't return the greeting! Breakfast although "free" was cold....i love best western I hope this was just a bad time of year for this one!!!

This is a great option for people who need to stay near Exeter. It is a clean, affordable hotel with a decent, not great, breakfast. The internet is speedy and reliable, beds were comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. For a small hotel, the pool was a decent size. The room had that funny "hotel smell", or whatever you want to call it, but we opened the window and that took care of it.

We stumbled upon this hotel and were very pleased we did. From check-in to check-out, the people were so friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. The only concern I would have is for people taller than 5 foot 9 inches tall would say the shower is too short. Lucky for us, we're 5'6" and 5'7"! it's a pre-fab shower and the roof is too short. Other than that, it was great

Stay away from this hotel!! It is hands down the worst place I've ever stayed. It was so bad we left after 4 hours The room was clean but felt damp even while running the air conditioner. The worst part was how loud this hotel is. Here's a tip for, if you walk into a hotel and they have multiple signs throughout requesting you to be quiet, chances are it's loud. You hear everything. We had a room and you could hear the guests next door. They were not being loud they were just talking. It sounded as though they were in the same room with us. The walls must be paper thin. There is zero soundproofing as far as I cant tell. Even with earplugs and a pillow over my head, I heard every word. We left before 9 pm. The woman at the front desk was helpful yet powerless to give us a refund. She did offer us another room in different area but suspecting we'd be faced with the same issue, we opted to pack up and leave. The most disappointing thing is that the hotel manager can issue a refund yet he refused. This is something that can be done but is at the hotel management's discression. He chose not to work with us at all. This will be our absolute last time staying at any Best Western.

We were in Boston for a friend's wedding. We decided to take a few extra days and hang out on the coast. This area seemed centrally located to take day trips from. The hotel was very nice and clean, and a short drive from the beach. Beds were very comfortable. Nice pool. Awesome breakfast. Front desk staff super nice and professional. We had an upstairs (2nd floor) room with a cathedral ceiling! Be warned there is no elevator, but that didn't bother us.

We have actually stayed at least 12 nights in hotels over the last 12 months and this was our least favorite. Last year we had such a good experience that we recommended it to my niece who booked a room also and had several issues. Last year we were in a much newer room around the back and it was handicapped. This time it was an older room and very noisy and definitely not as clean. Disappointed and will probably not stay there next season.

Stayed here with my teenage daughter on Sunday night. Ask for a second floor room if you stay here....nice high vaulted ceilings. Great price, very clean room, typical hotel breakfast, but the breakfast room is much more spacious than other similar hotels, which was nice. Just a couple miles inland from the beach, great location. Staff very friendly and professional. Highly recommend this hotel.

This was a good hotel just a little drive away from Hampton Beach. The room so were very clean and the breakfast was good. They switched up a few menu items each day to give some variety. The hotel internet was very good. The staff was very nice and accommodating.

Picked this hotel due to it's location on the NH/MA border and was not disappointed. Upon arrival to checkout everything was as expected. Good clean hotel. Comfortable rooms. Staff is excellent and professional. It is centrally located with the beaches within 10 minutes. Maine shopping only 12 miles away. Spent only one night but would stay again without any worries. Breakfast was typical of free, fresh and hot. Coffee available 24 hrs. Pool on site. No restaurant on site but near many only minutes away.

We are snow birds so we stay here both going north and then going back south. It is always consistently a great overnight stayl. The accommodations are spacious, clean great shower and very nice king bed. The front desk couldn't be more welcoming. It is also close to a great little seafood market and restaurant, Al's just north on Rt. 1.

I spent two nights at this hotel during the Thanksgiving holiday while traveling to visit family. My room was modern, clean, and spacious for a single king bedroom. The bed was clean and very comfy. The staff honored the do not disturb sign and I got great sleep despite having an irregular schedule. The manager professionally addressed a billing issue I had at checkout. I will stay here from now on when I travel to NH. I also noticed that this hotel has great soundproofing. I could very easily hear my neighbor from the hallway and thought I was going to listen to their TV all night. However, once inside my room it was very quiet and I could not hear their TV at all. I have stayed at many hotels and this feature is hard to find. I swear some hotels have paper-thin walls. My only problem during my entire stay was dead batteries in the TV remote. This was promptly fixed by the front desk.

Room badly designed with the smallest bathroom ever, no storage space for clothes, toilet handle almost falling off, shower curtain rod plaric crumbling and metal under it rusting. Hardest bed ever made. I've slept on tanks that were more comfortable.

My husband and I stopped here for the night on our way to Florida. We weren't in the room for more than an hour and we had a sighting of a disturbing bug that lead us to pack up immediately and check out!!! We asked for a refund, as we had to find alternate lodging, and the desk clerk took our information and promised to have the manager call us the next day. Well it is 7 months later and no call...I emailed and called the manager and we still have yet to hear from him. I will not state what we saw as our last review was not posted...just be vigilant in checking room room, especially the bed!

the motel in general was clean, efficient and the staff was very pleasant. when i booked the room, i was under the impression that all best westerns had a no smoking policy. i was wrong. i accidentally booked us into a smoking room, and it smelled of it. next time i will be more careful. i have come to expect much from best western, and usually come away pleased.

We were driving home from the coast of Maine and found this hotel two years ago. We had stayed in Salisbury MA driving up and each motel was more disgusting than the last! We're now doing the same trip again, and knew exactly where to stay. This Best Western is clean and comfortable. The young man at the front desk is helpful and made us feel welcome. Beds are comfortable and a very nice complimentary breakfast. Plenty of restaurants nearby for dinner. And we love the complimentry in the lobby. Highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel was nice but had a funky smell and the bed was so uncomfortable . My husband and I did not get any sleep at all .Breakfast was good , coffee was great. The whole place had such a weird smell. The staff was exceptionally nice and helpful , for being on a main road it was quiet in our room .

On the good side, the hotel staff were very efficient and pleasant and the breakfast was good. On the bad side, the room was shabby, especially in the bathroom where there were moldy spots on the ceiling and the wallpaper was peeling away. The view outside through the scratched and dirty slider was of a deteriorating deck and fence and weeds. We had a dog with us--guess that is where they place the dog owners.

Arriving late and without a reservation, we were surprised to find a nice first-floor room still available at a fair price. Our one-night stay in this medium-sized, newish-looking motel was very satisfactory. Both of the desk clerks we dealt with were well-trained, courteous and helpful. Our room 141 was spacious, clean, comfortable, quiet and conveniently located for breakfast room and parking lot access. The complimentary breakfast was just fine, offering ample seating, good food, delicious coffee, and free copies of USA Today. Our request for a one-hour extension of our checkout time was cheerfully granted. My only significant complaint it is that the complimentary WiFi is sluggish (not enough bandwidth?) and I needed to step outside to get decent cellphone reception.

Nice facility with all of the amenities that you might expect, but starting to look a little tired. This is a busy resort area and I'm sure the hotel gets a lot of use. Clean and neat, but in need of an update. The hallway décor is really a little garish. Getting hard to justify the price. Unless you want to be a few miles from Hampton Beach, I would stay outside this area.

Located just two miles from the beach, our property does not set a two night minimum like most hotels on the beach do. quick check in clean room and plenty of parking available. quite expensive for that kind of motel but must be the summer season. you will need a car if you like to visit any beach location about 2 miles away and opposite is a nice sports bar with cold beer and reasonable priced food.

What a beautiful place. Pleasantly surprised with the whole place, outside and in. Room and bathroom were immaculate, not a spot to be seen. Would love to stay again. Got upgraded to the exective suite as well. Great location.

It was fine overall. We had asked for a room on the first floor, but when we arrived to the smelled very heavily of cigarette smoke, so we returned to the reception and asked to change room. They were very accommodation, giving us a freshly renovated room. The AC is the room was set so low and it was very humid that the bed seemed wet. It was average.

First, it is a bargain for the summer at this location. It is not a 3 star hotel but they try. The breakfast is great and well kept up. the maintenance guy and cleaners are good. I stayed there to be near my daughter and grandson. The pool is nice with a lift for it and the hot tub. It is near shopping and Market Basket as well as restaurants. Now the not so good: The parking is not adequate and guest take too many spaces for their vehicles. If you return after 7 you might not have a spot except in the lower level an it is not well lit. When I checked in a bus of people who were not used to staying in hotels were there along with almost homeless people. Then the bus left and it was ok. Sketchy first impressions are hard to erase. One manager or asst manager or accountant had an attitude but all the others were ok. The hotel does not have a business office and internet crashed often.

I'm sorry to say that this review is not about our property. We are not located near Market Basket in Seabrook or Portsmouth, as our property is located in Hampton. Our hotel has the biggest parking lot for hotel guests in Hampton, and one of the largest parking lots for hotel guests among other hotels in the Seacoast region. Also, we do not have an upper or lower lot, rather our parking lot is one flat surface. Our staff does not permit guests to double park, and if in any event this were to happen, the guest would be notified to move their vehicle. We have never had a bus drop off any individuals who did not belong here as a guest, and the Front Office Manager was not working during the time period that your review was published. I will be notifying Trip Advisor.

I never have a problem with Best Western, but this hotel tried to scam me. After seeing an ad/coupon in New England hotels - those booklets you pick up in rest areas - we decided to book a room here. I asked the desk if any rooms were available. He said no. I said thank you. But then he said he had one room left - a suite for $250 a night. I said no thank you. He said, he can take off $50. I said why didn't you do that to begin with? No thank you. Then he said, how much would you offer for the room? I said the advertised rate! I started to walk away. He said, wait maybe we do have a regular room for you... No thank you. I left. When it comes to hotels, I don't like to do street market bartering or tolerate being taken advantage of... The roach motel 2 blocks down treated me with more respect than this Best Western did...

Easy, polite check in, our second floor room was fine. Clean, not brand new, but it was fine. The pool was pleasant, has a warm shower to use before entering and they do provide towels, the breakfast was fine too. Plenty of parking, free wifi worked. My only negative comment is that sound does travel through the walls more than most places I have stayed. Bring earplugs in case you get loud talkers in the halls. The hotel has prominent signs in the halls to remind folks about noise but some people are still oblivious. The hotel was easy to find and in a convenient location. We were there to go on a whale watch and didn't actually go to Hampton Beach from here. I'd stay here again. I don't really know if the rate was good or not being a resort area. It was a 15 minute drive to Rye Harbor for the whale watch trip.

I found the staff very helpful. For the included breakfast they had real silverware and dishes as opposed to paper, although they did offer paper if you preferred. Across from miniature golf, close to many good restaurants and the beach. My only complaint is lack of recycling, which is true for most hotels.

My wife and I stayed just one night on our way to Maine. We had an extremely relaxing stay. The bed was very comfortable. Parking was close to the room. This well priced hotel, although slightly dated was a great overnight stop in Hampton Beach. The indoor pool wasn't as warm as what one would expect for a heated pool. I also thought it closed too early as would have been nice to have a before bed swim. This hotel does not have an elevator which I did not mind, but could see where for others this could be an issue. The breakfast was fantastic and the beds were very comfortable which is something I'm very rarely able to compliment a hotel on. Would Def recommend if what your looking for is a place to take a swim and have a good night's rest after a day at beautiful Hampton Beach!

This was a great place to stay. Visiting family who were staying in Hampton Beach. We were only 11 mins. away from the beach activities. Our room was spacious, very clean and beds extremely comfortable. Located in a nice area with restaurants, etc. within walking distance. Free parking and free breakfast every morning. Quiet place to stay and the indoor pool was plus as was the pool area. Would definitely stay here again.

Our room was immaculate. Breakfast selections were many and tasty. Jerry, at the front desk, went beyond his duties to render me assistance. I, being new to tablet useage, was making a mistake that was costing overuseage charges. In one minute he corrected my error. That allowed us to remain in contact and make our stay more enjoyable. They also recommended a fantastic restaurant.

very happy with my stay at Best Western. Not too far from beach, adequate parking, indoor pool, comfortable room and full hot breakfast buffet. Most importantly reasonably priced compared to some of the lousy places that are right on the beach. I'd rather stay here and pay for some parking up at the beach.

Although I am a Platinum level rewards member this was the first Best Western we stayed at on our road trip along the east coast. Through traveling I have found Best Westerns to be very inconsistent in regards to quality. However this hotel met all my expectations perfectly. In fact we extended our stay here. Pros: Plenty of parking. Easy access. Great location (15 minutes to beach and less than half hour to Portsmouth). Front desk staff recommended a great restaurant for delivery and also provided directions to the beach that were easy and avoided the tourist traffic jams. Room was very clean and spacious. Housekeeping did a great job touching up the room and replacing towels during our stay. AC worked perfectly. Cons: Bathroom is on the smaller side especially in regards to the toilet placement but this in no way was a deal breaker for me. I will definitely stay here again when in the area. The price is good for the area and the value for the cost is perfect. I highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel was located well. Near the beach, near relatives, eateries,and most local attractions. Everything was great; the room, coolness, clean, quiet, near the breakfast room, and the pool. check in was fast and quick. Desk clerk knew where things were in the area and gave good directions. Most hotels the clerks have not a clue where they are.

I had a good stay other then that breakfast that was served was cold .I would suggest best western uses better containers as the eggs and sausage was cold and seemed like the breakfast had been sitting for few hours and wasn't served fresh.

We walked in without reservations and were quoted very high prices even with AAA. When we turned around to leave we were asked what rate we were looking for. We compromised and we ended up staying here. It was still on the high side at $149 but it wasn't worth looking elsewhere to save maybe $25. It was a nice room with a king bed and fridge. Plenty of channels on the TV. No issues at all. Plenty of parking. They suggested the restaurant across the street for decent basic food for dinner and they were spot on. For those that are interested in breakfast (we personally don't care) the breakfast was typical Sysco Supply cheap generic food with not even a banana offered when we looked in. We were glad we stayed here for the night and lucked out at both Best Westerns we stayed at during our vacation. That was a nice change!

We were up in the Hampton Beach area for a concert and wanted to find a reasonably price room as we were only going to be in it to sleep. The hotel selection in the Hampton Beach area is limited and not the best accommodations. First I wanted to say that their front desk clerk, Jerry, was terrific. I had 2 separate reservations and we arrived early and he went out of his way to get the 2 rooms close to one another and as quickly as he could. Whether he had been able to accommodate us that early or not, which he did, I would have been very happy because I knew he was doing his best. The rooms I had was a king that had been just redone. I could see they put a lot of work into doing it well. I could have been going into a much higher scale hotel and would not have known the difference. One thing I would recommend that they do is put some type of sheers on the windows. Your options on the first floor are to pull the curtain closed which is definitely room darkening and keeps all light out, or leave the curtain open and have everyone be able to look into your room from the outside, With that being said they did a great job on the room. The location is a couple of miles from the beach so it is a little inconvenient, but overall I can tell they put significant effort into redoing the facility and they did a great job.

The pictures the hotel has online look nothing like the rooms they provide so it was an extreme disappointment when I actually checked into the room. Very bad value for the money. Poor staff support as well.

We were in town for a concert at the Hampton Beach Casino ballroom over Memorial Day weekend. We only wanted to stay 1 night & the Best Western worked ( many hotels require a3 night minimum) The hotel was clean& our room had been recently renovated. They had a small fridge & microwave. We were on the second floor & the room was very quiet. The front desk was very helpful in getting a taxi down to the Casino. We would stay here again

"Quiet rooms"

Rooms were quiet. Perhaps were smoking room at one time in the past. Slight oder , not bad. 3 free bottles of water. That was a nice suprise.Carpets are showing there age. Would stay again. Staff was friendly.

I can't give too much of a review as shortly after my daughters and I checked in, we had to go home for an emergency so never got to stay the night. I made the reservation through their 800 number and was told the only non smoking rooms they had were in the "executive" section and that was 200+ for the night. I took a smoking room figuring it shouldn't be too bad with some room spray. The room we had was at the very top of a steep staircase (Very hard to climb with mobility problems) and it was so hot inside which made the smell even worse. I can't complain on the smell because it was a smoking room and I was aware of this. The desk clerk was very pleasant. There were 4 packets of decaf coffee and no regular. The bathroom was very tiny but the room was nicely painted and had a cathedral ceiling. Do not think I would book a room there again. I would rather spend the money and stay closer to the beach as I thought this was.

I've stayed here a few times now and wanted to review. The staff is super professional and friendly. I'm a Diamond Member of their rewards program and they always upgrade me. The check in is seamless and the rooms I've stayed in are very large and always very well maintained. The only problem with the facility is the laundry room is so small you need to fold clothes basically in your arms. They could use a small table outside the room but otherwise the place is excellent. I am in hotels all over the Northeast and this is one of my favorites. Great location, great staff, great room. Thumbs up.

The loss of my Mother brought me to stay in this hotel. I needed to be treated with great kindness and I will never forget how genuinely kind the staff members were to me during this fragile time in my life. There is a wing on the back side of the hotel with upgraded spacious efficiency rooms. It was one of the most quiet hotel rooms I have ever stay in. If you are going to Hampton for the beaches, this hotel is worth the 5 minute drive it will take you to get there.

"The Good,Bad,and Really Ugly"

I was not going to write this review but after receiving a very weak response to a survey from the manager of this place I changed my Mind. I recently stayed here twice during a trip south. On the first occasion I was upgraded to a so called Executive suite that was in another building. After receiving my keys I tried to get in the front door which would not open I made several trips to the front desk to get the problem resolved. In the morning when I went to take a shower the shower head almost feel into the tub. I was so pissed off I dropped the keys on the desk and left. I tried this place on the return trip hoping my luck would change, boy was I wrong it was the same story as the first time only the staff decided to throw in some off the cuff comments about my inability to open the front door which really added to the frustration. The key worked to get into the room so that would suggest to me a problem with the front door. I have been a Gold Card holder for a number of years and always try and stay at Best Western but after this last trip they can stick the Gold Card where the sun does not shine and it will be Comfort Inns from here on out!

The hotel was not willing to help with an overflowing toilet. I was given equipment and supplies and told to take care of it myself. They wouldn't even take the soiled towels out of the room when requested. I was told to leave in the hallway until morning.

Hotel was pleasant enough and generally clean. The high ceilings in the room made it feel more spacious. Just a note for anyone with food allergies - there is not much to offer if you have a gluten-intolerance, but then again, that is fairly typical to encounter such issues when traveling.

Even with our Canadian dollar so low,we always will come back to this hotel.You are 5 minutes away from the beaches by car and walking distance to some excellent restaurants.There is not a bad room in the hotel:We again had a king-size bed,fridge,safe,big T.V.A small heated pool and a work-out room.Breakfast is in a cozy big place and always very good with eggs,patatos,sausages and all kind of bread and muffins.

We came here to relax for a few days and was able to to do. He completely enjoyed our stay and will perhaps do this again next winter. We enjoyed the closeness of Hampton Beach. We also like how close we were to the many restaurants. We found plenty of things to do and we very happy here.

Although not on the Beach, it's close enough to get there in a hurry. We stayed here for New Years Eve, and they gave us a complimentary update to a suite without us even requesting one. It was very quiet, (which you would expect being off season), and the included hot buffet breakfast was terrific. Scrambled eggs, home fries, link sausages, cold cereal, OJ as well as several other juices, muffins, coffee, tea, etc.

Great location with all the shopping and restaurants you could desire within a 1/2 hour radius. Very clean rooms. Beds were above normal for comfort. Only thing we would have wanted was a waffle station with the hot breakfast that most other hotel chains in the area have. Was great to have the microwave and fridge in the room though. Would recommend and will stay again if the rates are reasonable as this is a resort location in the summer.

Excellent value. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and clean and had nice amenities, including a refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom was a little small but the shower was new and clean and had great water pressure. Bedding was soft and comfortable. Would definitely stay again when in the area.

While on business in North Hampton, New Hampshire I stumbled upon this gem. I had already put in a full day of driving so I was just looking for some R & R. I found that and more at this quaint property within easy walking distance to lots of things to do and see. The room rate was surprisingly affordable and the room was comfortable and even cozy. Large, flat screen TV provided a wide array of viewing choices. A surpisingly large parking area accomodated my truck without the chance of getting parked in. The attached Business Center featured a restaurant which provided a very satisfying breakfast with New England coffee, eggs, sausage and a host of sweets to choose from... I would love to return and check out the nearby beach on the Atlantic coast... Tichiganblues

I would recommend this Best Western for its location, its comfortable room and very warm pool. We enjoyed our short stay but would return soon! At the time of year, fall, the value was superb as well.

Picked this hotel because it was near my daughter's house and she was having a Baby Shower. I was very pleased with the quality, cleanliness, and accommodations at..It appears as if it was recently renovated. Staff was very professional and accommodating.

"Some items need attention..."

There were loose tiles in the bathroom floor, hair on the toilet seat, hair on the hairdryer and walls were scratched in several places. Sliding glass door was so dirty that it looked foggy outside. The wood part of the door was gouged where the security bar was dropped down. The door track was filthy. The "chair" next to the table was plastic without a cushion (exactly the same chairs that were on the patio outside). Had we been staying more than one night, I would have asked for another room.

We spent one night at the hotel on a ten day road trip. The hotel was easy to find and is right on the main highway. The staff at reception were warm and friendly and check-in was very fast. Our room on the second floor was on the side of the building. The room was light and spacious and well-maintained. The bathroom was basic and there appeared to be some kind of plastic patch on the bottom of the bath. We spent a lttle while in the pool which was nice but a bit clinical, a couple of plants or a mural would have made it more pleasant. We had dinner in a restaurant just across the road, called Logan's Run. The food was delicious and it was nice to be able to have a beer and not have to drive. The bed was comfy, however there was a lot of noise quite late at night, there seemed to be a lot of children running along the upstairs corridor. Breakfast was pretty basic and the staff didn't seem to be very welcoming. The dining area was pleasant but the air-con was far too cool for us. The hotel is a good place to stay if you want somewhere easy to find and right on the main road.

Love this hotel. We have been coming here for years and always loved it. Love the fact that the pool is indoors which is great when weather is bad and love the continental breakfast. Very clean and up to date.

close to Hampton beach without being right in the center of activity. Great area with a lot of activities to do. Would recommend to family or friends. Went to Hampton Beach casino for a show was great, but disappointed that no businesses were open on the actual strip. Beach was beautiful but not sure would go back during summer too many people

Great customer service and experience here. Had a sick kid on the middle of the night and the overnight staff was more than happy to accommodate and help me. Was much appreciated. Nice little pool. Hot breakfast could use a bit of help, but it will do.

On a road trip of the east coast for the first time we chose this hotel based on price, location, and Tripadvisor reviews... Room was clean, staff was friendly, breakfast was good, but we could hear the TV from the room on one side after midnight, and the alarm clock radio on the other side at 6am... The hair dryer did not work for my wife, but she made do... We informed the lady at the front deck upon checkout, and she was apologetic, and thankful the we let her know... Despite any little inconvenience we may have had, overall I would stay here again, and recommend to others.

Stayed at this hotel 12 & 13 Oct 2015. All the reception staff made us welcome but ESPECIALLY the General Manager who went out of his way to help me make a phone call to England by offering me the use of his personnel phone. This I considered was beyond the call of duty. I recommend this hotel.

We are Diamond members and was upgraded to a King Suite, which was a pleasant surprise. The room was homey and comfortable. However, the bathroom was too small. I've stayed at other Best Westerns with smaller rooms but had larger bathrooms. Otherwise we had a great and restful stay.

It looks like several buildings spliced together, tucked in between other properties along busy Route 1, but apparently remodeled recently. It was clean and, for the most part, a good deal for the senior price. Not much to see from the windows of the rooms except if you get something in the rear facing some wooded area. Room 133 faced a close fence and a house next door but it was quiet. The exhaust fan in our bathroom, however, was so noisy it could wake the dead! The desk clerk had a bit of an attitude when we tried to check in early but she was friendlier when we returned (probably having a bad day). The refrigerator in our room was very noisy but was quickly changed out for a new one when we reported it. Double-queen room was spacious, beds were comfy, lots of choices for pillows. Breakfast was good. Indoor pool was kind of small but big enough, considering the hotel size (I had it to myself). Water was about 80-85 degrees; too bad there was no hot tub. Avoid the king rooms on the first floor, facing the driveway and parking lot, unless you like noise & headlights shining in your room. Avoid room 144 like the plague; its side wall is on the sqeaky walkway leading to the pool and breakfast room.

My wife and I stayed at the Hampton Best Western on 3 October. We were very impressed with the hotel management staff. They were very courteous and helpful. This hotel was as clean as any 4 or 5 star hotel we have stayed at in the past few years. Our expectations were simply exceeded. This is a very nice property for the cost especially near tourist/vacation area. We will definitely recommend this hotel to others. You certainly do not mind filling our a survey when your experience was a good one! Additional Note: It was very quiet

Suggest another hotel selection...in room noise from refrigerator...toilet tank...in room a/c was a bit much...musty smell in the hallways didn't enhance our stay...breakfast offering was average at best... Location was the only positive... sorry best western need to up your game if you want better comments

The hotel overall was just okay but clean. It was a bit outdated (paintings, carpet, colors, wallpaper). It was fine for our quick overnight stay. The breakfast was good. There were a variety of things to choose from. The staff was friendly.

We have stayed at this particular Best Western several times alone and with family, and have always been very happy with their staff and accommodations. When we arrived for this visit, our regular room had been upgraded to the Executive Suite, without our expecting it or asking. How nice! We appreciated it. This is our "go to" hotel in that area.

They have been updating this hotel as we have been there before and they are doing a wonderful job. Because we are a diamond member of Best western - they offered us a free upgrade to a beautiful executive suite that was very quiet and nicely appointed. It is a short drive to the beaches but yet on a main road which makes it easy to get to any store you might like and places to eat with a miniature gold across the road. Although it is a main road, the rooms sit back and are not affected by the traffic. I would recommend this to any one - plus they have a nice and well kept pool area with towels and a lift for those who may need help getting in.
