Best Western Gorizia Palace Hotel

The hotel and staff was nice. The rooms are a little small but sufficient. There's no hotel restaurant but they recommended a wonderful little family place behind the hotel. Everything is in walking distance.

Loved it here. Everything was first class, from the room set up to the breakfast buffet which was sumptuous. Staff were very professional and prompt in attending to our needs. Location in the middle of the city helped when dining out at night

Nice modern hotel with very comfortable bed and a balcony overlooking the quiet neighborhood. Close to several sidewalk cafes and restaurants. Short walk to historic district. The staff was friendly and professional and assisted me with getting around the town. The town is right on the border with Slovenia...sister cities! I would definitely return!

The hotel was close to the centre of Gorizia and within walking distance of the railway station. The room clean and comfortable, with powerful air conditioning. It was also spacious, with a large bed. The décor was, however, very orange, which I found a bit overwhelming, and which made it feel a bit gloomy despite the bright sunshine outside. The bathroom was modern and clean. The service was friendly and efficient. It was good value for money. We thought it well worth paying the extra €5 each for breakfast, considering the range available.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were modern and spotless. The beds were comfortable. We had a suite with a wrap around balcony. The breakfast was one of the best deals in Italy at 5 euros a day. The pastries were delicious. The location was perfectly situated for a stroll down the street to the city centre, shopping, and your choice of many places to eat. This charming city even had a castle! I would highly recommend this hotel for an overnight or extended stay!

We have stayed here before; Last year when by train, and this time by auto. The breakfast, in our opinion, is worth the 5 euros as it has many options. The staff is friendly, a favorite restaurant, good cafe, and nice park all within walking distance. My only complaint is getting in and out with the auto as there are no attendants for parking nor luggage, hence the 4 stars. Otherwise, our room was clean and spacious, enough for both of us. Last year we had a different room, and it was a bit tight with 2 twin beds. We'd stay here again:)

What's not to like ? Just returned from a 5 night stay. Excellent hotel in all respects. Staff in all departments are very friendly, the rooms and public areas are kept spotlessly clean. Breakfast selection is varied and plentiful. Car parking is free ( access a little tight ). Superb Pizzeria directly opposite the hotel, Supermarket 3 mins walk. Tourist office 5 mins walk. Gorizia Castle 15 mins away. Once in your car Trieste is only 45 mins and both Lake Bled and Venice are each about 90 mins. Our only disappointment was that we didn't stay longer. Happy to recommend.

Very well located. Safe parking for my tall car (2,30m). Breakfast well balanced. Minutes walk from the city centre and food market. Good restaurants nearby. Staff well trained and very helpful. I will return...

This is a good place to stay if you are in Gorizia. It is a 15 minute walk from the train station and is near many stores, bakeries and restaurants. Wi-fi is strong, the bathroom is clean, and my room was quiet. Would recommend.

A newly renovated Hotel, friendly staff and a good breakfast. Absolutely worth the money. Fresh fruits, very good coffee and gluten-free snacks. Only the fruit juices weren't as good as everything else.

I have stayed in this hotel 3 times over the last 5 years on trips to Italy and Gorizia. It is located in a superb location right in the center and main drag in downtown on Corso Italia and service and staff are very impressive. The breakfast is even better and the best i have seen while in Europe at any hotel stay. The only down side is parking, space is very limited and it is very tight and almost ridiculous to try and park a normal size car unless you get an end spot. Street parking is available but is limited and restricted so be careful and get familiar with the rules, staff can help on this. Overall this is a good value, rooms are comfortable and modern and we will be back for future stays.

booked at 21.30 and checked in 22.30, and everything went smoothly. Registration of id-cards took a lot of time (app. 10 minutes). Very clean room. Very quiet also, despite the central location. Parking lot was full, so we had to park on the street (to pay after 09.00). Breakfast is very nice prices (€ 3,= p.p.) with a lot on the buffet.

I've been to gorizia many times to visit family but this was my first time in this hotel. My family and I loved it. It's a central location, the staff was very nice, the wifi worked well, and so did the AC! The rooms were a nice size and very clean. Would definitely stay again!

I stayed over 1 night with my husband: the hotel was well located, affordable and good staff. The room is spacious enough and comfortable but more importantly clean. Breakfast comes with a good selection of choices.

This hotel definitely merits 5 stars. Rooms are spacious, clean and recently renovated. Bed is very comfortable. Breakfast is excellent. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Location is great, about 5 minutes walk to the pedestrian zone in the center

We arrived here to find the road and footpath at the front of the hotel bring ripped up for roadworks which meant accessing the parking was near impossible unless I used the footpath (riding a Goldwing down a two foot wide tapped off area was less than fun). The hotel is modern inside and well kept but on the evening we stayed the bar was looked after by the receptionist who also seemed to do everything else. Breakfast was very nice and the morning brought extra reception staff and many more in the restaurant also, all of which were very helpful. The room was modern, clean and had a good bed and we enjoyed the stay despite the works going on. There are a number of shops up and down the street and we would recommend the ice cream parlour about thirty meters up the road on the left.

We only spent one night at the Gorizia Palace and we had a pleasant stay. The room was simple, yet comfortable and clean. Our room was spacious and included tea/coffee making facilities, and the wifi in the room worked well. Parking on the street was reasonably easy to obtain. The location seemed to be good, with a nice pizza restaurant across the street, and nearby to the town centre. Overall we had a good, yet short stay.

Great location on the High Street, clean and comfortable room with a good temperature, very nice bathroom, lovely breakfast. Best hotel pillows I've slept on for a very long time. Very comfy bed. Good wifi connection as well.

It seems not easy to find nice hotels in Gorizia, although the city itself has a lot to show and is very charming. This is a OK hotel, but rooms need severe refurbishment and renovation. Disappointing breakfast.

We took 2 rooms for 5 nights (one for me and my wife and the other for my sons): large enough for all our personal stuff, comfortable and very quite. The check-in was very fast and the staff was very kind and helpful to provide us good suggestions for the restaurants in Gorizia. An electronic key opens the door and turns on lights. The breakfast is with continental buffet: cappuccino or coffee can be asked directly to the staff of the hotel. With 10' walking you can reach Gorizia downtown: maps of the the town are available for free at the main desk. A private parking area is available inside the hotel. Big cars have to pay attention to enter and to park: the access and the parking lots are a little bit narrow.

Staff is kind, room is clean, and we didn't had to wait at the check in. Within 2 minutes we were in our room which has a very comfortable bathtub in he bathroom, it is quiet, everything works. It's our second time here, and we're probably going to come back here. It is only 2'9 km away from Nova Gorica center, there are cafés in the neughbourhood. THIS IS ONE HOTEL TI RECOMMEND!!!!!

We have had an unplanned overnight stay here after being too late to travel home after dinner. I consider us lucky to be directed here. Very nice room with large top floor terrace and beautiful view over Gorizia rooftops. Excellent sleep, nice breakfast and free parking in front of the entrance.

Great hotel well appointed and all faclites including free mini bar and buffet breakfast. The staff were extremly helpful even the manager personaly drove my wife to visit her aunty 30 Ks away. This is one of the best Best weston's I have been to

This is my 3rd stay at this hotel and it continues to impress. It's superb location, staff and rooms make it a great value for the money and a pleasant stay. Rooms are clean, comfortable, modern and well appointed, includes excellent full breakfast service with the best cappuccino in Gorizia (in my opinion), I'm telling ya...those ladies know how to make a cappuccino !!!! Excellent location right on Corso Italia in downtown and within walking distance of everything. The only knock I have about this hotel: 1. The A/C wasn't working or available, was told they haven't turned it on yet for the season (i noticed this in allot of hotels in Italy, this should be avail for guests at their choosing weather its heat/air cond., it was rather humid/warm in the room) . Parking is still a major issue, parking lot is small and difficult to maneuver, if you have anything bigger than a 2 door mini compact.....(not exaggerating) you have to be pretty creative and daring to park and still be able to crawl out of your car; if you don't want to do that parking is free on the street but ONLY for overnight hours. I can't say enough about the staff, they are superb and very helpful and fluent in English for those who do not speak Italian. We will be back here again, this is a well run hotel. The parking issue I cannot even fault them for so much for since space/property is limited.

I stayed at the Gorizia Palace Hotel for over a week while attending an academic conference. The hotel is lovely! My room was spotlessly clean, and perfect for me as a solo traveller. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast (a tasty and varied buffet) was perfect. My colleagues have stayed there in previous years and thoroughly recommended it to me as they have always been happy at this hotel.

Came for Business trip for 1 night. Room is comfortable and clean, nice shower but quite small, very good and tasty breakfast. Hotel has small parking lot but parking is free on the main street from evening till 9 am. Few restaurants and many stores just nearby. Front desk were nice and efficient. Will come again.

Excellent location, very good breakfast, and nice crew. The rooms are clean, bed and shower are good. At the same street, only some minutes walking, you can find stores, book stores and many restaurants.

The reception was fun and dynamic. The first impression of the room was very clean, practical and certainly comfortable. The bathroom very small, actually really very small and rather dangerous in my opinion, even though, I am flexible. I am sure some incident have happened or will happened.... The walls are not thick enough and during the night, it is possible hearing some interesting nocturne gymnastic and finding the innocent faces the next morning:) Lastly, the breakfast is lavish, with overall fresh products and with some of them clearly from the previous day. Though, I was rather pleased with it.

Very well located BW Hotel in Gorizia. Free parking places, good breakfast. Located close to the center and 10 min walk to the Castello! Friendly staff, well equiped rooms! If you go to Goriza - I can recommend this Hotel!

Gorizia overall was a lovely surprise packet and so was this hotel. Staff were very friendly and most helpful with information regarding our onward journey. Clean, spacious rooms. Lovely breakfast. Very reasonable restaurant about 200 metres up the road serving authentic Italian dishes. All perfect for our needs.

Easy acces to the city and excellent service 24 hours a day. Beautiful Hotel in a small town. The hotel is clean, well equipped and quiet. Welcoming people and serving nice breakfast, Room with air conditioning sys.and free parking.

This was the first hotel we stayed in for our trip to Italy... having never traveled abroad I didn't know what to expect. As it turned out, the Gorizia Palace Hotel was the 2nd nicest hotel we stayed in (out of 6 others.) Excellent staff, secure parking, nice breakfast, and one of the few rooms that actually had a coffee pot in it! Reasonable access from the A4, fairly easy in and out of the city, plenty of places to eat within walking distance; we would stay here again.

The hotel is very well located at the center of the city. The room is newly renovated and has modern furniture and devices. Minibar comes with complimentary coffee and tea bags. The breakfast was okay. However, the hotel didn't have wireless internet.

Great location within the city, close to downtown and restaurants within walking distance. We opted for Gorizia as our overnight stay on our way to Hungary and we were impressed with the quality of the service received at the hotel. The room was spacious and clean and the entire hotel looked as if it was recently updated. Good selection of food for breakfast. There is a nice gelatto place right across the street from the hotel and we found a good little restaurant only a 5 minutes walk from the hotel.We were actually impressed with the overall experience (hotel + city + food) and will most likely return there.

Comfortable.close to city center and to Slovenia . Unfortunately no restaurant operating in the hotel. Parking in the courtyard is rather insufficient. Better to check-in sooner. Rooms comfortable enough.
