Room was nice, except for the dirty towels from previous occupants left in bathroom floor & the giant dust bunny (& I do mean huge) left on floor inside door. Kind of gross really. Breakfast - ugh. Sausage 2 ways looked like it was boiled not fried, watery scrambled eggs or floating in water boiled eggs. Neither looked appealing. Brown beans - really - for breakfast? Settled for watery OJ & English muffin that toaster just couldn't seem to toast. All in all the worst breakfast at any hotel I've ever stayed at.
This is a dependable consistent hotel for cleanliness, quiet and comfortable stay. I always book this hotel even when my colleagues are staying at other hotels when meetings are closer to our venue. The staff are always helpful and I always feel safe when travelling solo.
I needed a family suite with a separate bedroom for a several-night stay with my 19 year old. This hotel had the best option for a good price. The furniture and decor could use an update, but the hotel and rooms were clean and the bed and pull-out couch were comfortable. A hot breakfast was included in the price. There was a pool and fitness room which I did not use, and guest laundry which I did. Would stay again
Room and free breakfast were great! Lots of free parking (easy to park with a tent trailer). Nice pool and hot tub. Laundry facilities were available. Front desk staff all very friendly! It was a nice stay- it is outside of the “downtown” area, but easy to get to.
Fast efficient, friendly service, a great breakfast, very comfortable bed, excellent shower. Great location for access to a variety of restaurants, lots of convenient parking. I appreciated the attention to the environment and being enviro-friendly.
The AC was pretty noisy and one of the beds was squeaky. I had problems hooking up to the internet, but Daniel at the front desk was really helpful. He fixed the problem right away. The sausages were not good and under cooked at breakfast. There was a microwave in the room.
Hotel and the rooms were very nice and well maintained. My girls loved the pool area. I was only disappointed there was no bath tub in the room but the highlight was that there was a rain shower head in the fancy shower area. I did enjoy that! Considering how busy they were on a Saturday night in August, all staff I encountered were so friendly and warm. I loved that.
The rooms were spacious, the pillows were so fluffy, and bed was so comfortable. Only problem was that the toilet tank took longer to fill up, so you had to wait between flushes. My main complaint would be that there were too many dogs, med to large dogs, and the smell from larger dogs was quite noticeable in the elevator and lobby, since it was a little congested there, not a huge space for a big hotel. Wish I had taken some pictures. We were so surprised to see so many dogs there!
We had a wonderful sleep. The room was big and nice and very clean. It also had a sofa which was unexpected. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very quiet. We stayed at many different hotels during our trip but it was our first time staying at a Best Western Plus and we were impressed. We will now look for a Best Western Plus the next time we need a hotel.
We stayed here for one night for a visit to Kings Landing. We drove from Maine and were going to stay at the BW in Wodstock but the Frederickton BW was a lot less expensive and only a little farter east. We asked for a room in the front of the hotel as there is a highway on the backside. The hotel staff at check in were competant and courteous and acknowledged us as Rewards Members. Complimentary coffee was available when we arrived. The room was clean and the beds and linens were super comfortable as were the pillows. The towels and amenities in the room were ample and breakfast was the usual fare of eggs, meat, bread, muffins, pancakes, juice, yogurt, fruit etc. This hotel is close to all types of restaurants and stores and access to Rt 2.
good clean room, great mattress and pillows, staff was friendly and helpful, daily breakfast that started the day just right, good location, ev bikes for rent, small indoor pool but usable. we only stayed two night, the area was quiet for a good night sleep
Clean and well appointed room as expected from Best Western and its $300+ nightly rate. However, I'm compelled to provide a review on account of the poor mattress on the bed. It was clearly past its best before as it was sunken in the middle so much so that it impacted our ability to sleep. Maybe it was just bad luck but it was very unexpected and disappointing from the BW brand. Could have saved $200 and spent the night at a lower starred hotel with a potentially better bed and night's sleep.
We were visiting the area to cycle Fredericton's beautiful trails and would stay here again on a return trip. We have always had good experiences with Best Western Plus and this was no exception. Our room was quiet, very clean, well stocked, and was very comfortable. We appreciated the larger than usual mini fridge as it accommodated all our cold drinks and snacks for our cycling days. The breakfast staff were pleasant and quickly replenished items on the buffet which offered a bountiful selection of hot and cold items. A great way to start our active days!
Recently stayed at this hotel for one night. Check in process was easy, friendly amd very efficient. Room was spacious, comfy and well decorated. There is a free hot breakfast with lots to offer and free on-site parking. Highly recommended for anyone travelling to or through the city.
I arrived after 1030pm, check-in was smooth and efficient. Hotel was clean, well-appointed, plenty of parking, bar/lounge open until midnight with a good selection of local beverages. Pool and hot tub area were clean, in good working order and had a good stock of clean towels. For a business traveller after 12 hours of driving, it was exactly what I needed.
Wonderful hotel the staff and amenities are great. We will return. This is our third time staying here and have never had any problems.
Bathroom vanity was broke when we checked in. Hotel did nothing to accommodate. Looked at construction dust/debris for 2 nights
It was late at night when we were looking for a place to stay. The other recommendations we had received did not appear that they would provide a good night's sleep. BW Plus in Fredericton was were we laid our heads, and it was wonderful! Every staff member we encountered, even if just walking by at a distance, was friendly and said hello, like they actually meant it! The staff really stood out to us - they were attentive at all times, and appeared to actually enjoy working in the hospitality field. Our room was very clean and quiet - the cleaning staff had left us a very neatly written note! There was a good selection of pillows. The air conditioner was very easy to operate and worked well. The bathroom was well stocked with decorative towels and toiletries. The TV was very clear and had plenty of stations. WIFI was easy to access. The ironing board and iron were clean and easy to find and use. The mini-fridge was hidden in a cupboard and kept everything cold for us. We had the breakfast and it was all the right temperatures. The food area was a big congested with guests, but certainly doable. There was a greater variety of foods than often presented at hotels. These included baked beans, yogurt/oatmeal toppings such as almonds/coconut/raisins, extra variety of muffins. Staff in the breakfast nook were extremely attentive and kept the supplies well stocked and the tables clean. They too were also very friendly. The price point was okay. Parting with money can be hard! However, the service we received was worth it. Although we only stayed one night, we were very pleased.
The beds were really exceptionally soft and we didn't get the best sleep. Otherwise everything else about our stay was good. We did have to leave really early before breakfast was served so can't comment on that. Shower was particularly noteworthy with double shower head.
My sister and I stayed 4 enjoyable nights in a king suite with 2 rooms and 2 tv's. So much about this hotel is positive. The staff earn the hotel's five star review from me. All of the staff were good at their jobs, a few stood out: Dustin, at the front desk was welcoming, friendly, had great suggestions for places to grab a pint or a bite to eat, looked after any requests or needs that we had and was just plain fun to talk to. Would that there was a “Dustin” at every hotel. Claudia, the breakfast hostess, provided top notch food, was efficient, friendly, looked after her area and her guests in such a way that you felt a bit special. Other guests, as well as us, remembered Claudia from previous visits. Het, the bartender/host at the lounge, had a beautiful smile and again was someone whose personality and manner seemed to suit the hospitality trade. All these folks plus Shawn (housekeeping), Ken (maintenance) helped make our stay enjoyable. There was a slight housekeeping hiccup, which was sorted by Amanda, Manager of front desk and surrounding areas (?). One can't have that many staff and areas exuding that caring attitude and efficiency without it coming from the top down. It was a pleasure to deal with Amanada and her staff. Cleanliness: There was not a spec of dust or fingerprint anywhere. The hotel was spotless from baseboards to chandeliers. Of note: The bedside clock with spots for electric outlets and slots to charge cell phones and ipads. The electric outlet on the wall right beside the mirror.
Great place to bring the family. Excellent facilities and exceptional staff. Pool and hot tub were great and the room was spacious and very clean. Staff were excellent.
In a close to shopping and highway access. Clean with friendly staff. Had a minor issue with water in the bathroom but it wouldn't prohibit me from staying there again. Caution: no automatic front door opener.
We went to the Best Western in Fredericton for a 2 night stay as a family. The staff at the reception was very welcoming and they always said hi to us as we went in and our of the hotel. The room was clean and spacious. We enjoyed having a fridge and microwave. The pool was clean and the kids had fun splashing around. The breakfast was very good, hot and they had a nice varierty to please everyone. Will ddfinetly stay there next time we are in Fredericton.
Clean and quiet with wonderful breakfast options and staff are very receptive to any feedback. The loyalty program with Best Western is very generous.
The hotel is beginning to show it's age and they are charging a fair bit more than what I would expect for what is offered. I would suggest price shopping. This was our hotel of choice in Fredericton for a number of years after it was first built, but policy changes and steadily increasing prices with aging infrastructure has moved us to other newer/renovated hotels with cheaper rates in the Fredericton area
We had a 2 night stay and everything was lovely. Very clean hotel, friendly staff, lots to offer for breakfast. Great coffee!
Advertised that you could receive 1 free night on next trip. If you booked 2 night in a row every were in the hotel. But was only false advertisement if they didnt do that i might of booked somewere else. Did not hold theire end of the bargan
Very clean rooms. We enjoyed our stay very much!!! Breakfast is very good also. Our motel of choice..Location is close to everything in town. Staff employee's are very nice and courteous..Access to Wi-Fi and TV is also a big plus.
The hotel was too expensive for the quality of service, size of room, breakfast we had. The experience was good overall. Friendly and helpful staff. However, staying at a Best Western Plus means higher expectations.
Had an excellent stay on Saturday with my son's basketball team. We have stayed there previous tournaments and were equally as satisfied with the accommodations. We would definitely stay there again for future Fredericton commitments. The breakfast had a tonne of options and the staff were all very friendly!
Very friendly and accommodating staff room clean easy check in/out everything worked good wifi TV functioned limited channels but found something to watch. Lounge was quite and drinks were cold enjoyed my stay
Whenever I travel, I always try and find a Best Western. I just feel like I'm home. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean. The amenities are great. I can't wait to visit again.
We always stay at the Best Western Plus when we are in the Fredericton area. Great service ;) Only disappointment we had was that the lounge wasn't opened the the evenings we were there... Always get finger foods usually... Other than that, we had a great experience again ;)
The staff acted as though we were a major inconvenience. We asked for bathrobes to wear while going to the pool and the staff let out an audible sigh and stared like they didn't want to assist us. They also had to move us from one room to another and the price was never adjusted despite us being moved to a less expensive room.
Rooms are clean and staff pleasant and welcoming. Good hot breakfast. Wi-fi works well I certainly recommend Best Western Plus to my friends and family. Stayed at those hotels in Moncton, St John, fredericton and Montreal. And it is always pleasant
We went to Fredricton to attend a family wedding so were staying only one night. We were pleasantly surprised at the lovely room, and the hotel itself (appears to be new?). The staff were super friendly and very helpful. Perhaps the most important thing to me was that I had best, most comfortable sleep I have had in...well...in years! We wished we could have stayed longer...breakfast smelled wonderful but our time was so limited we were unable to take advantage of our free coupon. We have already recommended it to family and friends and will certainly stay there again.
We always stay at the Best Western when we go in the Fredericton area as service is great, location is great and everything is great ;) Maybe just make sure to not be in a rush when going for break as it may sometimes by really busy ;) But other than that, extremely satisfied when we stay there.
Best Western Fredericton's front desk staff, the miss Kenzi, was kind, courteous, and efficient. I was checked in quickly. My room was clean, stocked, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast had plenty of options, the space was clean. There is a small (very small) lounge with some limited options but it was great to have. They did have a decent drink selection, wings, fries, your very basic bar food options, The food was good though and it will certainly get you through the night. The staff member who was on that night was delightful. Amanda was quick, kind, and provided a great atmosphere.
Great spot to stay at. . Easy to get to from highway, staff were pleasant and professional, room was clean and quiet. Beds were very comfortable. Close to many amenities. Second time staying and will do so again.
We were in town for Harvest Fest and wanted a place a little further away from downtown. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Place was clean enough, as expected with Best Westerns. Would probably stay again in the future.
Amazing staff, great location, very organized, clean, quiet!! We were greeted by 2 very friendly people, making us feel welcome immediately. Room was nice & clean. Beds comfortable. Close to all amenities.
Nice Best Western Hotel. Breakfast was plentiful and good quality. Clean rooms, good, friendly East Coast hospitality. Hotel rates were very reasonable. Located in a well populated part of town so lots of restaurants and stores nearby.
Best of the Best Westerns I have stayed at. Very clean and comfortable. Extremely helpful staff. We arrived later in the evening only to discover that I made a mistake and booked at the wrong hotel. The staff got me into a room without issue. We actually managed to get upgraded to a jacuzzi room for the same rate as the hotel at which I had errantly made reservations.
Myself and my coworker both stayed here at the hotel. Whereas we are here on business we had to go through CLC booking for lodging. Our work truck had broke down and there were zero rental cars available to rent to continue. We arrived at the hotel last minute, the night supervisor moved 2 of the final few rooms available to the side for us until CLC got the fax sent through. The staff was extremely accommodating , assuring us we would have our rooms one way or another. After approx 1hr of figuring out the mix up with CLC we are in our rooms. I feel a special shout-out should be given to the staff here at BW Fredericton NB. They went well beyond to accommodate us. Special props to the Front Desk Manager, Dylan Wilson, Director of Operations, Amanda Mallet and the night supervisor Kenzi. When through for work or pleasure you can be sure I will be staying here. Thanks for the service above and beyond Evan and Todd Sk services
Room was mediocre at best, smallest room I've ever stayed in for the price (~$400). Hallway was loud, could hear other guests above us and on each side. We used the jacuzzi tub, it continued to cycle until approximately 1:00 am (was told by front desk that this was to clear the moisture from the system). I inquired why there was no instructions on the tub in the room and the front dest attendant snarled that there are instructions, you just have to read them. In the morning I searched the room for these "instructions", there are no instructions for the tub. If we'd have known that the tub would continue to cycle for over an hour after use, we wouldn't have used it... Horrible experience....
Traveling from Philadelphia, look at the 40 hotel close to the highway. This location was ideal. The staff were exceptional, I appreciated finding a location, that was reasonably priced, clean and safe.
The best western hotel was an excellent choice to stay at for us. We had traveled to Prince Edward Island with friends and Nova Scotia. We traveled by motorcycles from the states. We live in New Mexico so it was quite the journey to get there. We trust Best Western to always be our hotel to stay because we have confidence in BW.
The hotel has changed since we last stayed there before the pandemic. The grounds around the building are not as full of greenery as the were a few years ago. The breakfast is not as good and the rooms seem cramped.
My room was spotlessly clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay there again on my way through Fredericton. The lobby was busy and many guests were needing attention but the front desk staff were cool and efficient.
Nice place to stay , clean rooms and breakfast is good and employees are friendly would recommend it to my friends and family. Too bad they don't have it in all the cities we visits. Good also to collect points with reward program
This is a well-run hotel. The reception and desk staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel was very busy, but everything seemed to go efficiently and no noise problems at night. Would recommend and be happy to stay here again. This is a nice little city and enjoyed our time there.
The hotel was clean however first room we had had a clogged shower drain and it was disgusting. Second room had toilet issues Pool had a light and exposed wire come out while our children were in pool.
The 2 main reasons we booked this hotel were both ruined. Firstly, the Hot Tub wasn't working. We should have been advised prior to arriving. Secondly, we arrived for Breakfast at 9:05 AM but the room was locked and staff told us Breakfast finished at 9:00 AM. In 50 years of traveling I have never experienced a Hotel finishing Breakfast at 9:00 AM!
We had the place to ourselves! I took my family to Fredricton from the States since I'd seen decent reviews. I'm really glad that I did. It's probably not the fanciest place but it offered everything that we needed for a very comfortable 3 night stay. It was clean and most of all QUIET! We literally were the only people on the 4th floor. This made it perfect for sleeping in. Most of our time there the pool and hot tub were empty so it was a like having a private pool. The beds were decent, and the oversized tub was very clean and the shower was awesome. The pillows were so wonderful that I actually bought one to bring home! I can honestly say I've never done that before. Parking was free. There was a grab and go breakfast which we used once. We had a minor issue with some bedding but it was immediately taken care of and a gift card was given to us. Since we were there on Christmas we had to get take out the day before since everything was closed. We were able to use the microwave and large fridge which came in very handy. I would definitely stay there again for its close proximity to the mall, the nearby universities and the city, cleanliness and a great night's sleep not once but 3 times. Thanks Best Western of Fredricton!
Great location with great staff. nice lounge, breakfast area and nice little gym to work out. Would recommend this hotel as it's has plenty of free parking and is close to restaurants and coffee etc and easy access to the highway along with BW rewards which makes it even better.
Room was cramped, service was non existent, access to town was difficult. Literally out in the woods, and not in a good way. DIY breakfast would have been okay if they had enough seating but they didn't, and there were no other options nearby.
I have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the past few years and have never had a bad experience. The staff, the amenities, lounge, pool are all excellent. I really enjoy the Jacuzzi rooms. Overall a great hotel.
Always stay there. Love the breakfast and the fact it is close to everything I need. Friendly helpful staff. The parking is easily accessible and close to any room. Never stuck in traffic when you need to leave or go into.
Unfortunately, we were in a room that was next to a couple of rooms full of female basketball players. There was a tournament in town. They were noisy and they roamed the halls to visit other rooms so there was lots of doors slamming. This went on until around 11 pm. My husband went outside and nicely asked them if they would keep the noise down because we were trying to get to sleep. They said yes but soon came out again and started knocking on our door. When we went to the door, they had disappeared. This happened a few times before it stopped. At that point, we were very upset and had trouble sleeping that night. The next morning, when we checked out, I advised the desk clerk that we had barely slept that night and why. I said that we wondered why we had been placed next to rooms full of athletes. Her answer was "unfortunately, the rooms that can accommodate the athletes are spread all over the hotel and we cannot guarantee that guests won't be near those rooms". There was no empathy in her voice as she said this; it was just a matter of fact! Because of that comment and our experience, it is unlikely that we will ever stay at the Fredericton Best Western Hotel again. Our advice would be to ask if there are sports teams registered for the night you wish to book, before you actually book it, to avoid our experience.
Clean room, good lounge, competitive price..great reward program with variety of products at the lounge, I do recommend the hotel, helpful staff, comfortable bed and very close to Fredericton up town.
This Best Western is a solid option if you're visiting the Fredericton area. It was a clean, modern hotel with a pretty decent hot breakfast. I can honestly say it was convenient to King's Landing which was my destination in the region.
Clean, decent breakfast, nice comfortable rooms, quality beds. the front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. It was nice to be able to leverage the breakfast room in the evening to play cards.
Great, clean hotel to stay while passing through Fredricton! Has a great little restaurant and lounge. My room was very clean. Just that it faced the highway and you could hear the traffic once your in bed trying to sleep. Other than that it was an enjoyable stay.
This hotel needs to review their customer service policies. The front desk staff can be rude and condescending. The hotel was clean and tidy. The breakfast had good selection however it wasn't always replenished for a busy weekend. The pool was clean and respectable. Our room was as to be expected.
Easy booking direct with the hotel. Easy check in / check out. Clean rooms, comfy beds, friendly and attentive staff. Close to Fredericton's upper shopping district. We got a better rate by calling the hotel directly to book and got an even better rate by being Best Western members.
I recently had a wonderful experience here while driving through to Nova Scotia. Terrific front desk staff, and a very clean, quiet beautiful room. I even recommended it to a family member who was also driving through. He didn't have the same experience though, mainly because his room was scented and he reacted to it. Why use spray to scent a room? Many people have reactions to it and now I am unsure if I will stay again because of it. I hope the hotel quits this practice of scenting sheets and rooms. It's caused me to be reluctant from trying this hotel again.
Good enough for a one night stay, but probably would not choose this hotel again. We were given our key, opened the door, room had not been cleaned, but we didn't have to wait long for another room. My main problem with this hotel was breakfast, way too many people in a small room for COVID conscious people. Would have preferred being served the free breakfast, like our previous nights hotel did! Way too much touching of the food & utensils by the guests! Did not make us feel comfortable at all!
We had a great experience with the hotel, room was very clean and updated. Pool and hot tub were great. All staff were very friendly. The only thing I would have to say is the smoking area is outside the side entrance and for a non smoker we are not wanting to enter and exit with that smell. Should make an designated area for this. Breakfast could have had a few more options like bagels and granola for yogurt, otherwise it was good.
Horrible quality beds non working tv. The tv wouldn't turn on. The bed squeaked. You could feel the springs. The room was dark and not exactly the cleanest. The staff were friendly. I won't be staying there again.
We stayed at the Best Western Plus, Fredericton, on our way back to Montreal. We were very pleased with the room which was very clean and comfortable. Even the sofa bed for our son was more than decent. The breakfast was nice to have before going on the road. Overall very positive experience.
Love this hotel. I have nothing bad to say about it. Staff is helpful, the rooms are clean, fresh and comfortable The breakfast was excellent with a large selection of options. You may want to get to breakfast early as it does get busy.
Check in was very good. Had informed BW we had a small dog. Family of 4 got settled after a long car ride when we're then informed no dogs on that floor. Found out the next day there was another dog on the floor. Why bother us with that during a 1 night stay and when it was BW's mistake?
I wanted a hotel close to UNB and the mall. This was clean, had a hot tub, pool, hot breakfast and even a pub! I'll be using this spot for my next trip to Fredericton. Highly recommended for work or families
We spent two nights at this hotel, was very clean, we used the pool but it was really cloudy not sure the problem. They have a lounge where you can get a drink and appetizers but both nights it was closed, was a bit disappointed. When we return we will probably stay there again.
Booked for 4 people ( logic i thought 2 beds) but received a horrible pull out couch. Carpets are filthy. Air conditioning super loud. Breakfast was really bad. I've been to many best western and this is the worst
We stayed for one night. Very pleasant check in experience. the room was plenty big, and very comfortable. The breakfast included was good, but there lots of people to serve! In a pandemic time, the breakfast dining was a bit crowded, but unavoidable. We noted lots of companies' vehicles in the parking lot: must mean it's a good price!!
Stayed for 2 nights with family, daughter had a softball tournament and we enjoyed our stay for the time we were at the hotel. Breakfast was great, service was great. We even had forgotten a couple of things in the room and when we called back, they had put it aside for us to pick up when we were back in the region.
Perfect spot between Ontario and Nova Scotia. We felt welcome with our fur baby who is 10, blind and large sized. The room was clean, and on the main floor which was perfect for our dog. The breakfast had takeaway containers for breakfast to go - I've never seen that before. Very useful when you are road tripping across country!
This hotel had everything large rooms clean and friendly service and excellent breakfast with great location. I brought my family to this hotel and I'd do it again very clean and large rooms. I would recommend
Great customer service. Front desk personnel very welcoming, helpful, and informative. Gave us suggestions for dinner as well as information about the city. Hotel is new, very clean, and rooms are spacious and comfortable.
Good choice for this city. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was included and was sufficient. It got a little busy while people were selecting their food. Some changes under be made to improve peak times especially with Covid concerns. The staff were helpful.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff was friendly and vey helpful. Felt like it was home when I entered the hotel. The room where I was staying was very clean. I would return to this hotel in the future.
My sister and I stayed here for her University's convocation. We had originally booked two nights as our parents were going to join the second night, but they ended up contracting COVID and could not come, so we decided to only stay for one night. The staff was very accommodating and friendly when our plans changed, and the hotel policy is incredibly flexible on cancellations. Additionally, the hotel is in a fantastic location; it's not on the main road like a few of the other hotels in Fredericton so there was minimal traffic noise during our stay, but it's still in a convenient location if you would like to travel to the mall, the University, or to the downtown area (we had traveled by car, so if you do not have a vehicle it may be a bit more difficult to get downtown on a budget as I am not familiar with the transit system).
Bathroom drains don't work, room smelled of mold. Coffee maker in room was not working. Breakfast was terrible, fake soggy 'hot food'. And of course no room cleaning during our stay, but were sure happy to still charge full price. Choose a different hotel.
Good location just outside the city, close (3 minutes by car) to a large plaza with many box stores and a variety of restaurants. Front desk personnel were friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions. After a long day's travel was looking forward to using the pool and hot tub (the reason we picked this hotel), unfortunately both had been closed for a week and would be out of service for the next three weeks (maintenance). I understand having to close some facilities from time to time for servicing, but when a facility will be closed for a month, customers who have booked reservations in advance should be notified so the can choose to make alternate arrangements if so desired - not told on arrival that they are closed - too late to cancel, too late to start looking for alternate arrangements. Breakfast buffet was small, but adequate, except juice machine dispensed water instead of juice and coffer machine was out of order - matters that should be dealt with in an expedient manner.
This is a very welcoming, clean hotel and we love staying here when in Fredericton. It is conveniently located (5 minute drive to everywhere we need to get to). Their complimentary hot buffet breakfast has a lot of variety. They also have a bar with yummy pub food & beer/wine, indoor pool, as well as a sundry shop. The Best!
Very nice property and our room was very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pool area is closed and under renovation until mid June so that was disappointing, however front desk did call us a week in advance to advise of the closure. This was appreciated. Room is a little dark due to the way the suite is designed however we had a great stay in this room. Rain Shower was lovely and relaxing. I would return to this property, I did ask the front desk the cost of a taxi from the hotel to downtown and they advised approx 15.00 each way.
The staff were very accommodating, friendly, and welcoming! The room was exceptionally clean as was the hotel, every corner we took someone was there cleaning! We Couldn't have asked for better service! Their beds are THE COMFIEST so we each had the best sleep! The hotel was quiet, so we had no interruptions! The breakfast was also fantastic, huge variety!
Reserved a double queen room and the room we got was a double queen with a sofa and chair with a coffee table close to the window. Was nice to be able to order food and sit on the sofa and use the coffee table for food. The room we received was not the typical double queen with just 2 beds so it was a pleasant surprise to see the extra large room with the extra furniture. The room was also super clean and smelt fresh instead of smelling like a heavy cleaning chemical. We had a great room and it was a great stay. Thank you Best Western Plus in Fredericton!
Last night on the road of a trip from Ft. Myers Fl to Guysborough NS. Stayed in BW in Santee SC and Danbury Ct. the previous nights. It was a long exhausting drive for two seniors and this was the best of the hotels we stayed at. It was quiet, restful, great amenities, the hotel appeared very new and was priced reasonably.
Fredericton BW is reliably consistent. Ample parking, fantastic staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds, fantastic staff, stable internet, hot breakfast, safe location, and quiet at night. Have I mentioned how impressed I am with the staff? They are professional, diligent, kind, efficient, and knowledgeable.
It was a good stay. Most staff were very helpful and friendly. I would come again but i would ask for a connecting room. The rooms were clean. The only thing i didnot like was kids throwing a nerf football around in the pool are. We almost got hit a few times while sitting in tbe hot tub.
Had a great customer service the reception always having a great smile. The bed is conformable and i had a great sleep. Even the selection of breakfast is lower of selection still good breakfast. The pool is hot
After spending a night at a terrible hotel in the area the night before, our family called Best Western and Anthony was amazing! He got us in that day with an early check in. The hotel also were happy to help with extra towels, our internet issue, and with a problem with the hot tub. Breakfast staff were quick, efficient, and happy to serve us as well. Overall, we would highly recommend anyone stay if you're looking for a spot in the area.
Had to get a room due to frozen pipes and no water,my wife booked online and as she was on the phone we where quoted $183.61,we verified this price included tax and the fee for our dog, when we got to the hotel we reverified with the front dest.we where then given the keys to the room,as my 10 year old daughter and wife went to the room I went to get our dog and bags,as i came back they both came back to the lobby stating there is someone in our room,in fact there was a man sitting there,so we got another room, once we walked in we noticed how small it was and the smell, after about 2 hours the dog would not settle due to the smells in the room,so I took her and went home,my wife and daughter stayed.I came to pick them up in the morning and we left, and was not given a receipt. Checked on credit card today and noticed I was charged $242.72 by the online site and $34.50 by the hotel, contacted both and nothing will be done,Ive stayed at many hotel's with my work, and never again will I stay at a Best Western, terrible service.
Very professional, capable staff - excellent service all around with a high quality breakfast. The property has a range of amenities (pool, fitness) - a relaxing, comfortable place to stay, with very well maintained rooms and common areas.
This hotel and their staff went out of their way to accommodate us. They provided a clean , safe meeting room for 3 people to meet while social distancing, allowing us to conduct important business that may have been hindered otherwise. They had a great room with a separate sleeping area, allowing me to work on my own very efficiently while being available to join the other meeting when necessary. We will definitely conduct business here again, in fact in a couple of weeks. The staff were friendly, helpful and understanding
I wanted to like his hotel but I was disappointed with the bed comfort. The bed was concave and the only comfortable spot was in the very middle. On a positive note, the room was very clean and the shower/bath was great. The internet worked well. I was given a room on the main floor with laminate flooring and it was very cold during my stay. The breakfast was disappointing and options limited on weekends/holidays. I was very pleased the staff prepared toast for me even though it was not offered officially on the weekends.
Stayed here many times annually over the past ten years. Clean, well run hotel with well trained, very pleasant staff throughout. Always very clean and usually pretty quiet, close to a variety of restaurants. Our favourite in Fredericton.
As soon as you step foot in the building the staff were there to make your stay perfect . The rooms were very clean and smelled amazing . The beds were very comfortable and I had an amazing sleep . I wish the price was a bit lower as I was travelling alone . I can't say enough … Keep up the great work !!!
Easily accessible comfy stay. Thanks to the congenial and very helpful Turner at front desk we were able to get a room on ground floor. Room was comfy and all staff cordial. Our only concern was that housekeeping staff were not wearing masks despite operating in close contact in halls. Hotel is easily accessible to TCH, plenty of parking, and the place is quiet. One of the few places we stayed along the way that offers some choice to those of us who want a thin pillow!
My best friend and his family hit a bear on the highway while passing through Fredericton. Because it was Labour Day, there were no rental cars available. So my family assisted and booked them at the Best Western Plus. His review is below. The first impression was great. We were given free early check-in under the circumstances and the staff was excellent. The breakfast was amazing. It was advertised as continental but had fresh bacon and sausage as well as a variety of beverages for the kids. It had a secure indoor pool, but we didn't use it. I'm not even sure if it was open or not due to covid. One night the fire alarm got pulled. Not the hotel's fault. We are glad to be home, but would return to Best Western Plus in the future if we are in the area.
I was not impressed with this property. $160 plus not worth it. It is getting old and tired. It has a HD TV but no HD cable stations. Rooms and Decor have likely not been upgraded since it opened. The place was packed with kids and the building does not absorb noise well. The front desk staff could use some Customer Service training. I am a Diamond Select Member but that didn't seem to matter. Some idiot pulled the fire alarm around 10 pm (not the hotels fault) but the staff were extremely dazed and confused. On the plus side they handled breakfast extremely well with such a sold out hotel. I had kids in sports tourneys 25 years ago so I get it when there are tournaments but you should try to put there teams on the same floor and in the same area. I was really disappointed with this stay. There are competing chains with better prices in Fredericton and are likely a better option.
If you're paying $130-$160 per night, this hotel suits that range… pay any more, you'll be very disappointed. Front desk staff need a total re group, complete mess. Breakfast staff were friendly, efficient and had things moving.
The breakfast offered many hot and cold item choices! The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was very clean. The beds were comfortable and the room was modern. We will continue to patronize this hotel every time we come down.
I was very pleased with the hotel and staff experience. Very friendly and accommodating. After booking, they called and offered a free room upgrade. We were also able to get a late check out. Our breakfast was hot and well prepared. An overall good experience!
Very nice, clean hotel. Staff were welcoming and friendly, pointing out areas to eat, or places to order from. Rooms were clean and well laid out. Snack shop was fully stocked and restaurant (breakfast) was good. All in all a great value for what you get. Highly recommended for pet travellers!!
When you are stuck in a hotel, far from home on your b day bc your car broke down. And the staff does this for you, totally AMAZING!! I would recommend this hotel to everyone! Rooms were clean and spacious. Continental breakfast was awesome.
This hotel is friendly, clean and close to everything. It is our preferred hotel in Fredericton as we find the beds extremely comfortable. Great service and the staff are always friendly. I have stayed here a lot and don't find many hotels that come to match this one
One of the best things I love about the Best Western in Fredericton, is the inspiring notes that the housekeeping staff leave everyday in the rooms. Every time I see them, they do motivate me to have a great day and remind me how important it is to take advantage of time.
The BW Plus in Fredericton continues to exceed my expectations. Central location, free parking, welcoming and helpful staff, clean premises, easy check-in/out, and stable internet make it so much easier to work away from home.
This Best Western was so clean, Room was spacious, bed was comfortable. Staff were all very professional! Will certainty stay here again. Great location for business or leisure. Even “Breakfast to go” was very good.
It was a great vale for the money. We will go there again it is a convenient location. The staff was perfect and made us feel welcome. It was a full house when we stayed but was still quiet. Which is a plus.
Our first stay after Covid restrictions were lifted so we can travel in our Atlantic Provinces. This was not our first visit to this hotel. Actually we prefer this one. Had the King parlour suite and everything was lovely.
Our stay was very quite and peaceful but the room had a strong smell as if it would have been a room that had smokers in it. We were also supposed to have a free breakfast but because it was so poorly organized we gave up waiting in line because it took over 15 minutes for the 2 staff members to serve 1 family of 4 and there was still 2 more family's in front of us. At the rate they were going it would have taken over a hour to get breakfast food to go. We ended up leaving without breakfast and grabbed a bagel at Tim's instead.
Staff go above and beyond to make your stay pleasurable. Staff are friendly and seem to love there jobs and makes you feel welcome. Hot breakfast is served and its way better then a continental. A great place to stay
We came from hiking and really tired, Best western Fredy provided and exceeded my expectation in terms of services from receptionist, room attendant to food service are excellent. Highly recommended. .....................
Room was clean and comfortable but keys continued to not work and one guy on our last night refused to believe us we had to keep going to front desk until he re keyed them. Pool is nice but very cold. Hot tub was great but you had to wear a mask the second night re horrible night clerk. Night clerk on first night never made us wear a mask in the pool and hot tub. Lounge drinks were good with a nice bartender. I probably would not stay here again too much hassle over getting keys to work
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and have great amenities for business travel. I have stayed here before with pets and they are very accommodating. Rooms are smallish but beds are great quality and washrooms are roomy and clean.
My significant other and I stayed here for my birthday. Customer service was great they all wished me a happy birthday. They were very friendly and were willing to do anything to make sure our stay was excellent.
Nice looking hotel and friendly staff. If you don't mind noise from kids running in hallways or people walking on above rooms then this hotel will be fine. Small pool but clean and kids liked it. There is no slide.
We have been in many hotels and airbnb but mostly me and my boyfriend had worked in hotels before and I have to say, this is the most amazing place to be. You can see how Amanda, the manager, take an absolute care to find the right employee to serve you. She makes sure that everything is made right and proper for you with a beautiful smile ! Cassandra, the supervisor at the front desk is always my first person to see in the morning. She as that cute way to make her every guess feel special. Her bubbly attitudes makes her shine, and she is so nice ! She will take very good care of you. Morning follows with an awesome hot breakfast buffet, VERY clean and neat. It is very warming to walk into the room and to see Claudia behind the counter ready to serve you. It's like coming down for breakfast with mama ! She make sure that you eat more than enough !! Alex on the weekend and Mariana are so nice and friendly !! There is a loung that opens at 5pm serve by amazing Turner ! The is no challenge small enough for your asking. His energy with people makes you feel like you've known him forever and he is SO dedicated to please you and see a smile on your face. There is many many more names that I can't all remember, but Best Western in Freddy should be your first consideration. This place is soooo clean ! There is a person on each level during the day, and someone that does from bottom to top all night ! Covid wise ? Very well respected and take GREAT care on keeping their staff and their employees safe. This hotel has the best staff I have since in a long time. There is no price for hospitality and carring like Amanda's staff will provide you. If you are looking for a new place where you feel like you belong, this is most definitely the BEST place to be !
covid 19 restrictions hindred me in completing my business trip without any glitches but Amanda the General Manager and Turner front desk/barman went above and beyond duty to help me complete my tasks at hand. and this was for my personal business at hand and nothing to do with the hotel. as for the hotel itself it was clean, quiet, comfortable, and efficient. It was very well situated with anything one could need within a 5 in drive. all the staff were polite, knowledible, and were in great spirit showing me how lovely the people of Fredericton really are. Great Ambassadors
This was our first stay at Best Western Plus in Fredericton, NB and hopefully won't be our last. We were so impressed with the staff, cleanliness, and our room not to mention the value for the price. Definitely a great experience.
Go stay at one of the many hotels around Fredericton. This one isn't worth the money. Better rooms for better price at other hotels. Would not recommend the hotel. Breakfast got me sick and was not good.
Service was exceptional, rooms are very clean, the overall experience of this hotel meets and exceeds my expectations in every aspect, especially in a uncertain time we are currently in. I will never choose another hotel when in the Fredericton area!
Great service, i called the same day to have a room and the woman i talked to was kind, she had a hard time with my name but i'm used to it, it was all set up when i checked in with the gentleman at the service desk. Very nice. The room was good, the only thing is the pillow, i had a hard time sleeping on it, they are really puff, not used to it. But it's ok, i would prefer more choice of pillow.
Great looking on the outside, beautiful greenery. Room was not as clean as I would want, squished mosquitos on the window, which I cleaned. The beds left my back feeling stiff the next day. The pool area was OK, hot tub was relaxing. The pick-up breakfast bags (COVID-19) were very gross, perhaps their normal served breakfast is better (?). I would probably not return to this location, but perhaps another Best Western Plus in another location.
Excellent staff, cleanliness, and services, we have stayed here lots over the past 10 years that it has been open. Very welcoming, nice little lounge with some food, breakfast is always good and is usually pretty quiet.
My family loves this hotel! really nice, excellent customer service, Breakfast to go was really good!!! Pool was super! During Covid-19, everything was looked at..My family was really happy with everything! Definitely going again!
We stopped in for the night and stayed. We had our cat with us and they were very accommodating. The room was very clean, staff were awesome, and the pool was one of the cleanest I have ever been in at a hotel.
The room was so clean & cozy, we slept like babies & actually slept in because we were so comfortable. The service was great & respectful. We are deaf so they were very nice to us & made sure we're in good hands. Will definitely stay there again.
We spent one night at the best Western in Fredericton. The hotel is very modern and clean. Has lovely amenities. The only problem we ran into was the steps on the pool. Knowing that if you can hang on and be very careful. We would definitely recommend and stay there again
Best Western is always our hotel choice when traveling to Fredericton. They have a fair price, comfortable rooms that are always clean, free breakfast and friendly staff. We have always enjoyed our time there. I'll be glad when the buffet breakfast is back to normal!
Meghan at the front desk was amazing. During this covid outbreak, she made our stay relaxing and comfortable after our long day of driving. They had bagged breakfast for us and a long list of restaurants that would deliver since we couldn't go out. She was friendly and welcoming and the room was spotless and comfortable!
Hotel is very clean. Staff is excellent, very nice and helpful. Rooms are big and clean. Beds and pillows are very confortable. I stay at this hotel every time I go to Fredericton. Love everything about it.
Check in is friendly and efficient. Room is of average size. Bathroom and shower is good size and clean. Lots of parking. Wifi works well. Breakfast area is spacious and food quality is above average.
it was very clean great food very nice staff just wish rooms were a little bigger very good location breakfast had many choices and they were hot and cold bds were very comfortable and very clean complimentary coffee fridge and microwave in each room pool and hot tub were great couls be 3 ft at some point as the younger children found it to deep at 4 ft being the shortest
I have stayed at the Best Western Plus in Fredericton on numerous occasions , this is by far the cleanest Hotel ever and the Front Desk staff has always proved me with 1st Class Service. The Fitness room and the pool and hot tub provides a very relaxing atmosphere.
Recently stayed here with my husband on route to my son in Edmonston. We arrived after a late flight to a very friendly, competent front desk person and were shown to a comfortable clean room. The continental breakfast was very good and eating area nice and clean. Would not hesitate to go back!
As soon as we walked into the hotel it smelled musty. The kids and I both smell like it from just sitting in by the pool. Can't get the smell out of our hair. We have washed it twice now. Also the hot tub was broken.
Great breakfast and the hotel overall is great. I'd say in five years it'll need an update as I've been at other updated hotels. Internet service was fine (console ran as expected) and the pool was great for the family.
We stayed at the Best Western Plus with out Under 12 girls basketball team. There were dozens of children there with various other teams, which can be awesome, if well managed. The pool was too crowded, many children were unsupervised and diving/jumping recklessly, and there were no clean towels. i was in the pool area for over an hour and never saw a staff member come in to check. At breakfast the next morning, there was also no supervision. Children were handling all of the silverware and putting them back into the holders, using their fingers to serve themselves, etc. It was very unsanitary and during cold and flu season, no less. I did not stay for breakfast because of this, and will think twice before returning to this location.
Booked here for a last minute getaway. Was very nice inside the lobby as well as the room. The breakfast area was a little small but was manageable. typical breakfast options available for bestwesterns
This was my first time staying at this hotel or any best western hotel ! I enjoyed the stay and staff was great ! The complimentary breakfast was one of the best I've ever had , there was a lot of selection and all stations were kept full
Room was on first floor and very well located close to the entrance/exit. Temperature was easily controlled in the room. Room was quiet and made for relaxation. Excellent location, close to shopping, restaurants, etc...
first time at this hotel and completly enjoyed our stay. My wife was with me. very satisfied with everything ......the room was clean and the beds so comfortable. the breakfast was excellent. would certainly stay here again.
We usually always stay at this hotel, but I have found that during the winter months the hotel is probably 80% or more filled with sports teams. They can be very noisy well into the early hours of the morning.Stricter rules for sports teams upon arrival may help to curb the problem. 11PM is normally quiet time in hotels, but it was after 2AM before the noise subsided to where I could go to sleep. This has not normally been my experience here, but this time was different.
I stay here all of the time for work and this hotel is awesome. The staff are great and they always go above and beyond to make you feel like you are family. They offer great breakfast and lounge food
over night delay due to aircanada was able to get a room and check in quick and easy using reward points. room was clean , bed was comfortable . checkout was super fast. 15 min taxi from airport. decent breakfast
Clean, great service, excellent breakfast! A little getaway for my husband and I and it was well worth it! Great location if you like shopping and easy to hop on the highway to get to the rest of the city!
I want to preface it by saying, we're not fussy people, it takes a lot for us to leave a negative review. We booked the King Jacuzzi suite. Immediately we noticed how much smaller the room was than it looked on the website. The room was also very dark - the lighting is not sufficient. There was also a very large cobweb above the jacuzzi - housecleaning clearly hadn't checked the walls in awhile. But whatever, everything else seemed okay. I went to take a shower and the shower head had been improperly installed. The angle of the non-adjustable shower head is off so that it sprays into the wall. This means if you want to actually stand fully in the water, you have to be standing physically pressed against the side wall. If you stand in the middle of the tub, the water misses half your body. But, as I said, we're not fussy, and we knew we could live with it for 2 nights. The next morning my husband went to the bathroom and found a silverfish bug crawling in the sink. Finding silverfish in a building typically indicates a moisture issue, so that should be a concern for them. And for us, where there's one, there's more. We figured maybe we would ask for a new room. As we were discussing it, I noticed something shiny on the floor. Upon closer inspection, I found broken glass on the floor in two places around the jacuzzi. As we looked further there was more glass embedded in the rug! Completely inexcusable, not to mention dangerous. Needless to say, that was the proverbial straw. We left and will not be back.
For a smaller city it's a decent place to stay in the center of uptown. But if you want to do something other than hit the highway the next day or shop it's probably not ideal. I often stay here when I need to be at the Airport early and it suits that fine.
I stayed at this hotel because I was in town on business at a nearby location. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and modern. It has a nice little pool and hot tub. They offer a good selection at the breakfast bar, which was included in the room rate. My room was comfortable and quiet. There's plenty of parking available out front. I don't know the area well but it would seem to be easy enough to find when coming off the highway. The hotel suited my purposes for this trip, but if I was wanting to be within walking distance of restaurants, coffee shops or local attractions, this hotel might not be my first choice.
We stayed that the Best Western Fredericton for one night on our way to Boston and one night on our return trip home. The staff went over and beyond their call of duty! Helpful, courteous, and kind doesn't even begin to describe our experience! We were very pleased.
Clean and comfortable hotel with great staff. The location was convenient to both the highway and the conference center. I wished that I had brought my swim suit with me! I would not hesitate to stay there again!
Excellent hotel that offers excellent accommodations, a fantastic breakfast that is included and a lounge with food and bar open from 5 to midnight. You don't have to leave! Great service with friendly staff. I highly recommend you stay there. Great value for the cost as the other hotels are very costly.
This is a great hotel. Nice hot breakfast with plenty of choices. The room was spacious and it was very quite in the room. Check in was a little slow, but I really think that it was just the timing of my arrival.
Spent three night in this very clean, well maintained hotel. We got off season rates and the first snow of the year. We had a very comfortable suite which was tastefully decorated. The one complaint was the service on the second night which we got from a chambermaid who was probably having a bad day. The breakfast was a typical included buffet but the service was efficient.
I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. I found a few items on the menu I was not familiar with; the waitress explained them to me which was very helpful. They serve bottled pop in the lounge; I like canned. She went out of her way to go to the lobby to retrieve cans of pop for me. Rooms are clean and large. Hot tub was nice and enjoyable after a long work day. Definitely recommend this hotel over any other in this area.
The room was really clean and well taken care of - it was a nice size and we had all the amenities we needed. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet -- the view sucked but you can't have everything. The staff was friendly and the overall hotel was nice. Would definitely stay again.
Front desk staff ( Erin, Stephen) inattentive did not follow through on request, smerk and sarcastic when a complaint is made. Housekeeping staff loud when cleaning rooms adjacent to us. Shower area corners filthy. Strong smell of weed in hallway and flowed into our room had to keep a wet towel under the door the entire stay. Elevator strong smell of smoke after housekeeping staff exited it. Internet did not work after 3rd day called front desk waited a while before a new code was given, told after the fact that the code does not work after a few days even though were a only a few days into our stay. Lady at breakfast was great:)
Overall I enjoyed everything except the food in the hotel and the drinks..They only had like 3 things of the entire menu. And the choices they had weren't not good at all..I recommend to eat outside the hotel..First it's pricey and second it's not good at all. The breakfast was very bad. Low quality food. The bagel I ate didn't even taste like a bagel, it tasted like carboard. The alcool drinks were not that great either. The stock had nothing..Could just do like 2 drinks..I took a bloody ceasar and it was not good. The employee left the most important parts of the drinks..and it's very pricey. Accept the drinks and food..I would totally recommend this hotel. Eat somewhere esle tho
I love to stay at the Best Western in Fredericton as I can always count on that it will be clean and staff are always so helpful. Beds are super comfortable and it is a relatively quiet hotel. The breakfast bar is wonderful and always has a great variety to chose from. Food is fresh and always replenished.
Hotel is clean and updated. Even in the day and age of technology I appreciate being treated like a person by a person and this was the case here. Very efficient and made things very easy after a long day of travel.
As soon as I checked in at the hotel, the staff was very friendly. Throughout my stay, staff members went out of their way to say hi, to offer help, to wish me a good day. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. There is always somebody cleaning the halls. The room was very clean!
Stayed at this hotel during the last couple of nights. Staff has been wonderful to deal with and very welcoming. Beds are very comfortable and I had a great night. Rooms are clean and very cozy. Big hot breakfast included at no cost, which is great!
My Husband was teaching a Course at this hotel and it make it very convenient for us to stay there.. We have always stayed local but will stay at this hotel from now on. Service was very good and they offered to extend my check-out time to later in the day for when my husband was finished. Hotel local to all stores and other restaurants.
The place was good to stay in. Had coffee and tea all day in the entrance. Clean hotel and friendly staff. The room was very clean. The resolution of the TV wasn't good as compared to some of the hotel I have stayed in for the same price
Beds and shower are very luxurious and CLEAN. Always have a wonderful sleep here. Breakfast is excellent - make sure to make yourself a Belgian waffle! Staff is friendly. All this and they are pet-friendly!
Excellent stay, great service, clean, awesome breakfast. Great locations and would recommend it. Nice indoor pool. Great heating/cooling system very modern just need more ventilation in bathroom to get rid of moisture from shower.
After a long day of crowed malls and tangled traffic there is no better way to leave it all behind than a comfortable room and a nice relaxing drink. This hotel has the right fit with bright clean rooms.
This hotel is located just a short drive from downtown and a two minute drive from shops and restaurants. It is a big hotel but plenty parking available. We had an oversize room with an en suite bathroom that had a window. The usual fridge, microwave and coffeemaker were provided and towels and linens were fresh and clean. The breakfast was the usual hot and cold options. The breakfast room became a bar at night and hot snacks were available for purchase. The pool had superb fun murals painted on the walls and was a good size, with a small hot tub also. Staff were all pleasant, polite and helpful.
We had to rent a room the night before my son's hospital visit and this place was recommended by a friend. Great recommendation! Very easy to find! I would definitely go back to stay here! We had a great time at the pool also!
I had to wait awhile as it was busy when I arrived, but another person came on the front desk right away to assist with check in. Easy to find, rooms very clean and great breakfast. Hot coffee. Lots of room in our suite with a pull out bed as well.
Property was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Check in was super easy and the check out was even easier. We were in for the festival and the only issue was the shuttle stopped at 9 and the front desk staff seemed unaware of this. However they were amazing with getting us a cab to get us to the venue before the show started.
We only chose this venue as it was advertised to offer complimentary shuttle service to/from the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival. At check-in, there were 2 staff at the desk (1 on the phone). The available member took over 10 minutes to acknowledge us. Full payment (not a deposit) is also due at check-in. We were told that the shuttle started at 5pm, would run every 25-30 minutes, stopping at a few other hotels as well. We arrived at 5:10pm for the shuttle which we anticipated would arrive between 5:30-5:45pm. Another group waiting outside informed us that they understood the first shuttle was actually scheduled for 4:45pm. At 5:30, the other group got a taxi. At this time, the front desk manager told us that Festival materials and information were dropped off earlier that week but that the hotel had 'no affiliation.' I rechecked the Festival website and found the updated shuttle schedule with pick-up times at 4:45pm/6:05pm/7:25pm and 8:45pm. We elected to wait for the 6:05pm shuttle. The manager came out again and said that we must have seen incorrect or outdated (last years) information and that she didn't expect the shuttle until 7pm. I showed her the updated information and she reiterated 'well we aren't affiliated so I don't know what to tell you.' I asked if she could call us a taxi and she let out a sigh and reluctant yes. Staff were generally rude and unhelpful. Room was average and the bed and pillows were uncomfortable.
We stayed here for five nights while visiting family. The room was large and very comfortable. Reception was fast and friendly, despite being very busy with tourist and sports team buses. Even when fully booked the hotel was very quiet. Breakfast is good with excellent waffle making machines, although for the size of the hotel I cannot help feeling that the rooms are not ideal for large numbers. Evening bar was excellent having local craft beers and Canadian lagers. Excellent location near the Regent Mall, Trans Canada highway and loads of restaurants. Although reception was happy to print our boarding cards, I would have preferred access to an internet-connected PC and printer to do it myself. Another positive - lots of parking available.
Stayed in the business executive room with king bed with walk in shower, room very spacious and the shower is great. The hotel lobby is beautiful. I have nothing negative to say about my stay here and I would highly recommend this hotel.
Would start by saying have stayed here several times in the past with no real issues. Check in was a long wait, noting it appears that the hotel was taken over by some sports teams with relatively young children. The lobby was crowded. The check in clerk must have had a long day and it was evident. Room was dated, dark and dingy. The price is way to high for the location and the accommodations. The hotel was loud late into the evening. Could not get close to the coffee in the morning, clearly they were over capacity. Check out they did not even ask how your stay was, they couldn't care less. Would not recommend and would not stay again.
Very clean and modern rooms, the beds are very comfortable, lovely staff. The breakfast is plentiful, nice variety and lots of tables. Close to shopping, universities and downtown. Our main place to stay when we visit our daughter at UNB.
We found everything about this property including the staff to be EXCELLENT! This hotel will be our first choice anytime we are in Fredericton. Beds were extremely comfortable and staff was extremely polite and efficient. Best hotel value in Fredericton!.
Again this year we arrived here on our first leg of our vacation, heading to Nova Scotia. And also again we were not disappointed .... with a very friendly reception staff, very clean rooms, great breakfasts as part of the price, so close to all amenities and pet friendly .... you will continue to be our first choice when it comes to travel in your area. This trip we actually stayed two different nights in the same week ... thank-you so much !
We are always happy with our stay at the Best Western in Fredericton. Good location, comfortable and friendly. It's our hotel of choice when staying in Fredericton. The breakfast is always good and the rooms are comfortable.
Clean rooms, great breakfast, nice pool! One of the nicest hotels in the Fredericton area. Not downtown so very easy to access. Close to Costco, Walmart and several restaurants. Located close to the rapidly developing end of Fredericton and easily accessible from the highway.
Stayed at a family of four. The room was spacious and seemed clean enough although we found some candy wrappers between the bed and the nightstand. There was an unpleasant smell in the lobby and the corridors but the room smelled ok. The bathroom was spacious, seemed clean and relatively recently renovated. The bed had a ‘dip' in the centre and we slept uncomfortably, certainly worse than at other BW. The AC worked well. Breakfast had the usual selections (scrambled eggs, ham, sausages, waffles, toast, muffins, cereal and fresh fruit, etc) and the food was the usual quality. The room was crowded and it was hard to find tables. There were real dishes as well as disposables but the staff could not wash dishes fast enough. I would not recommend it, you should be able to do better.
This was a one night stay for a family of four. The room was simple and adequate, nothing special. Decent value for the money. The service was ok, but needs improvement. When asked if I could leave a package of seafood in their freezer over night I was told no despite the room fridge not having a freezer. The breakfast area is not large enough for the hotel. It should be expanded so guests do not have to wait long for breakfast. The breakfast offerings were overly simple. I would look to book elsewhere next time I pass through this area.
The best western is our final stop on a 3 week tour of Eastern Canada. It was neither the best but by far not the worst. THe room was clean, the staff was helpful and the breakfast was good. Although, the best werstern caters to a lot of bus tours they did open up additional eating areas to ensure that there was enough seating for all of its customers. It did meet all of our criteria, clean, safe and friendly.
The front desk staff knew very little about the surrounding area, and the staff supervising the breakfast area said virtually nothing while tourists were just checking each and every food station. (This was due to a lack of labeling of what was in some of the covered food containers). It just made things unnecessarily chaotic.
Friendly staff and very professional. Great facility able to facilitate large crowds, traveling families and couples on vacation with ease. Clean spacious rooms, with amenities such as coffee and luggage rack. Large vanity in bathroom and great shower after a long car ride. Breakfast was amazing. Bed was very comfortable. Gas and convenience store very close by, easy access to main roads.
Stayed at this Best Western both driving to Ontario and returning to Nova Scotia. Excellent front desk staff, very friendly and professional! The rooms were both very good and the beds very comfy especially in the king bed room! Used the pool which was nice although a little small but it was quiet which was nice!
I stayed at Best Western,Frederiction for a night on our family vacation this summer. I along with 5 other members of my family which included 3 young children where at the counter to checkin, there were 3 employees behind the counter, one was helping a customer and the other two were talking to each other. We stayed behind in line for our turn, after about 10 minutes an elderly customer walked in and at the same time another employee from the backroom showed up and called him before us (6 of us were there, 2 standing and the other 4 sitting on the couch). I was unhappy about that and, told the person who was checking us in about it. I expected her to apologize, but she didnt even acknowledged what I said and went on with the usual exsecise of checking in. I am from western Canada and I usually stay in hotels atleast 2 nights a week, and mostly on Best Westerns. Usually if there is a delay at the counter and you are waiting for checkin, the person at the counter will always ackonwlwdge your presence and tell you that there is a wait, or atleast a smile. At this place these guys were stone faced and was looking right through us as though we are invisible. I felt realy insulted and took me atleast that night to get back in line. Everyrhing else was upto the usual Best Western standards, after this incident I didnt enjoy any of the stuff provided by you.
This is not the place for a couple to stay on a nice vacation. We arrived at 3 pm and were told our room wasn't ready and they couldn't tell us when it would be. We said we would wait in the couch right by check in and the lady said she would tell us when they found out how long we would have to wait. We had heard nothing by 3:30 pm and so I went to the counter. After some looking around the new lady at the desk determined that our room was ready. The overall hotel decor on the interior is typical 1970s. The wi fi code they gave us did not work so we had to call the front desk for another one. The walls transmit sound easily and it was noisy all night long and at one point someone pounded on our door in the middle of the night.
Booked 5 nights based on good reviews...left after 1. How this place is a BW+ is beyond us. Wedged between freeway and busy road, no double-glazing..the road noise hits you as soon as you open the door..either side. Dark wood, dark walls and carpet, when combined with outdated mission brown furnishing is definitely NOT cozy. Add to it low ceiling (6' tall people is max height) and tiny 'suites' with no airflow into the sitting area, you have a sauna, making the experience claustrophobic. Breakfast items looked tired. Yoghurt comes from a dispenser with nozzle so you don't know what it is. With attendant wiping down benches and then the nozzle with the same cloth, we left our undrinkable coffee and forewent breakfast altogether. This throwback to the '60s needs gutting and redesign and DOUBLE GLAZING! Only reason I gave it 1 star is because of the excellent Value Village right next door..and the excellent Hampton Inn just down the road, where we spent the next 4 nights...like a breath of fresh air.
Not sure what others see in this hotel...but we certainly can't recommend it in any way. Booked 5 nights, lasted 1! This throwback to the '60s needs gutting and rebuilding..and double glazing! It's dark, depressing, tiny 'suites' with low ceilings, no airflow so sauna condition, freeway noise one side, busy road on other...and breakfast inedible (yoghurt from a dispenser..first time ever in our 30 years of frequent travels all around the world). And I won't mention the worst coffee, ever. Spend just a bit more and go to the Hampton Inn just down the road...you won't regret it...it's like a breath of fresh air.
The best sleep ever love it good job, keep up we enjoy it . I never had a better and relaxing sleep in my life, Thank you . My and my family we enjoyed the perfect relaxing sleep , love it. Thank you very much.
This hotel is a great place to stay for a night, half way between Cape Breton and Vermont. The location of this hotel is convenient to shopping and restaurants and is also close to downtown. It is also convenient to the highway.
We arrived after midnight. All we needed was a place to rest from a looooooong drive. I was asleep before my head hit the pillow. Bed was extremly comfortable. Room was beautiful. Such a shame we didnt get to spend more time there.
Beautiful hotel. Room is pretty typical. The pet fee which I didn't address until my arrival was $34.50!! If it wasn't such a pain to cancel through the booking site, I was prepared to cancel on the spot. This is predatory pricing and way more than it should be. I did look for pet information on the website but not surprisingly they left this exorbitant fee as a last minute surprise. Front desk staff was less than helpful as well. I will never stay in a Best Western again.
This hotel is very good and this is the second time I have stayed there. The room was excellent and the service was great. The breakfast was good as well. Check in and check out meet our expectations and the prices was reasonable.
Booked hotel on line due to location and were pleasantly surprised when we entered the hotel. Front desk staff were welcoming and friendly and recommended some wonderful restaurants. Hotel decor reminded me of France; our room was large and immaculately clean. The location was excellent and we found Fredericton charming. Breakfast choices were extensive and the real china and silverware a plus. We're planning to visit again when we are in the area.
Quick and easily accessible from downtown. Courteous and professional staff always willing to help. Great breakfast selection with good coffee. Comfortable bed with an extra pull out sofa. Easy access shower stall.
Stayed at a different hotel at first and decided to spend the extra 20$ on the way back. Worth every penny. Clean, spacious, great amenities, fantastic breakfast, great location. What else could you want?
We visited this hotel for the second time in a year while travelling to Montreal. We loved everything, especially the pool/hot tub, friendly professional staff, cleanliness, rooms and breakfast. Thanks for a great spot to stay again! We'll be back.
Always greeted with amazing staff. Beautiful hotel located near everything you may need. Very clean hotel and very professional friendly staff. My go to place in Frederiction and any other city when I can stay with BW.
The room needed fixing up quite a bit. The beds were bad... heaters were very loud... Breakfast wasnt cared for. You could really tell a difference in the part of the hotel that was upgraded to the parts that were older.
Clean, quiet room. Great hot breakfast the next morning with sausage, eggs, home fries, and baked beans, and all the other things that come with a great continental breakfast. Yogurt dispenser, waffle maker, etc. Great place to stay. Even has a really neat water slide that our family arrived too late the evening before to use but would stay there again in the future. Only tip for improvement : please illuminate the sign so when you are driving there in the dark you can see it better.
My title says it all. I'm a platinum member at BW and probably this one takes the last position in the standings. Very poor bar, I was sent to a room that wasn't ready yet, the heater was super noisy. The breakfast was average. The room was clean and the hotel was clean overall. Water was ok, etc.
Very good service and very clean rooms. Hotel is very well kept, maintenance done on a continual basis. Still looks new !! Rooms are very comfortable !! One of the few hotels in Fredericton, that offer s bilingual service !@
We have stayed in this hotel twice and were very pleased both times. Our deluxe queen room was perfect with everything we needed and a great value. Very clean and comfortable beds. Breakfast had something for everyone. The location of this hotel is perfect for shopping with easy access to shops and restaurants just minutes away.
Good performance. Rooms are a little bit older, but everything is clean and in working order. Washroom had been renovated. Real hard-boiled eggs for breakfast, which is great compared to the usual powdered eggs you usually get at hotel free breakfasts. Also real plates and cutlery, go environment !
I especially appreciate a clean bathroom and this one was spotless. The beds were comfortable. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and again the serving staff were very friendly.
I visit our Daughter at UNB several times a year and usually stay at the new "H" hotel just up the street. This visit, my Husband and teenage son where with me, so when looking for a room, thought I'd look at this hotel. Turned out to be a good choice. I booked us a deluxe room with 2 queen beds and couch (I believe it was a sofa bed) for $ 30 less per night than a regular room with 2 queen beds at the "H" hotel. Hotel is a bit older and slightly dated than my usual hotel but beds comfortable, shower great (loved rain head) also had a microwave and fridge. Only real negative is the lack of plug ins to charge your electronics, but given that the hotel is about 15 years old, it wasn't a concern when it was built. We only ate breakfast once in the hotel once over our 3 night stay and it was okay - no fresh fruit and not much selection - apparently coffee not great (I don't drink it). It is a very small area, so I could see it being very busy if the hotel was full. In the evening, the breakfast room doubles as a lounge/pub where you an get light snacks and a beer or wine - we enjoyed this option. Pool looked nice and workout room on the smaller side. During our stay it was very cold and the hallway outside our room was always very cold - almost as if it wasn't heated. Overall a great choice for our stay in the room we choose and even better considering the price was so much better than my usual "H" hotel up the street. I am a Best Western rewards member, so I will look into staying here again.
I don't usually stay at Best Westerns, but they are starting to build new hotels so wanted to give them a try. It was great! we got a deluxe room with a sitting area and king bed in bedroom area. Rain shower head min bathroom was a nice tough, Pool was great, and hot tub also....both clean as well. Hotel itself was very clean, modern. Free breakfast is the usual you get from hotels, but a good selection of items from hot to cold. I would return.
Found the hotel to be very clean and comfortable good sized rooms and comfy beds. Pool and hot tub available for guest use. Complimentary breakfast was well done and although the the hotel was sold out, everyone seemed to be fed and looked after. Cleaning staff was very busy but thourgh
The heated pool was not heated and was SO cold. Only one person working in the breakfast area and it was full because it was March Break. None of the hot options were available and when I asked to have them, she replied she was the only one working and it would have to wait. I get things get busy, but maybe more staff is needed during March Break
We took our 2 small kids for a night for March break and they loved it...the beds were incredibly comfortable!! Our only complaint would be the pool was a bit cold. But we would highly recommend the best western to all!!
The hotel is very clean and efficient. The Jacuzzi tub in my guest room was very clean and enjoyable. The room could use more lightening but when the curtains were open it was great. Breakfast was good, a lot of options. Check in/out was painless, quick service. The pool was colder than expected, doesn't seem heated like advertised. Sadly there was a lot of kids at the property last weekend (hockey tournaments), therefore, the pool was congested with kids. We never got a chance to thoroughly enjoy the pool or hot tub as there were lots of kids splashing around. I will definitely be going back next year for our anniversary again.
We stayed with our sons hockey team and were very impressed at every aspect of our stay. The staff was friendly, hotel was clean, wifi worked great and the services were great, including a pub in the evening serving drinks and pub food and a conference space available for the team to socialize as a group together. This is usually a huge issue causing many problems in every hotel that we stay. This is the first time ever I have left a hotel and can honestly say I have no complaints. It really made for a great weekend!
When you go to breakfast there is huge line ups . Poor breakfast compared to other best western Dry cereal but no milk . No yogurt. Basically no dairy Hot waffle irons but no batter when I asked for batter they said they had none . Breakfast very poor They hav a pool but very cold . Hot tub is cool not even warm . Noisy with teens running in the halls
Good experience. Nice and Welcoming staff. Breakfast good. Room little bit congested but cleaned and tidy. Nice bathroom. Have issue with TV remote and Telephone but rectified instantly. Elevator not cleaned .
Our room had very comfortable beds and pillow,. It was very clean and we loved the new rainfall shower head. I did miss having a bath for the kids but we made do. The pool was cold but there was a hot tub so all in all our kids had fun.
Good location, the service was good but the pool was too cold 73°, the hot tub was dirty. If you like soft mattress it's a good place to stay. Lot-of piping noise during the night. Otherwise the room was super clean and the breakfast was good.
I stayed at Best Western Fredericton for two nights. The room was clean and had all the amenities. The complementary breakfast had lots of variety, fruit, cereal, two kinds of eggs & meats, lots of grains. Service was friendly and quick.
I stay at this location at least once per month, sometimes multiple times. The check-in staff is incredibly friendly, and give excellent service. The rooms are very clean, the beds are comfortable, and the high speed internet never lets me down even when watching Netflix via my laptop. The breakfast is good with eggs, toast, beans, yogurt, cereal, juices, a yogurt machine...and always things like bacon/sausage/ham. The location is good, as well, uptown on Bishop drive just off of Prospect Street and close to the mall and Costco. All in all, I definitely recommend this hotel.
This is the hotel we stay in whenever we are in Fredericton. I have absolutely no complaints with the staff, the service, etc. My only thought is regarding the pool area and eating area. This hotel is often booked or close to booked and the pool and the eating area get very congested. The hot tub is wonderful, but looks a bit tired (outdated). These are small observations, but do not indicate anything negative with my stay experience
The staff went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable. The room was always clean and orderly. The free breakfast is always good to have. I would definitely return to this location should I return.
Spotless hotel , underrated as great room , comfortable bed and high quality bedding . Best internet I ever had at a hotel . Fast connection .Easy to find and close to shopping and highways . Definitely easy on and easy off
Very clean hotel with good services, nice bar area, clean rooms, good prices and nice swiming pool and hot tube areas I would recommend this hotel to any person that wants a quality hotel a best price value.
We stayed 1 night and the bed was SOOOO comfortable! We were happy with amenities, staff, the room and the kids loved the pool. Breakfast was included and it was delicious! We will most definitely be staying again!
Stayed to get shopping done for christmas. Excellent relaxing after a busy day. The staff and room was amazing. Had a swim and enjoyed the pool. The breakfast was amazing. Many choices to eat the food was fresh
Great staff, pets accepted 5 minutes to my Fredericton office, always clean, Claudia in Breakfast Room is super!! I highly recommend this property. Nothing beats it for value for price paid, convenience (near main malls), security and safety, etc.
Friendly fast check-in, clean, very welcoming reception. Super clean and well presented breakfast, very comfortable and quiet rooms and clean bathrooms, quick check-in and express check-outs, recommended A+
We enjoy staying at Best Western because the staff is friendly. The room was very clean. I really enjoyed the new shower, with dual heads. The internet has been updated so we all had high speed when using our devices. Best of all the bed was really comfy.
This is one of the best hotels we stayed at in October this year 2018, excellent amenities, clean, very comfortable, the staff on reception were brilliant, great breakfast, all other staff always willing to help, will definitely stay again when we return to Canada, Thank you ALL, Ann & Ed (Munday)
Stayed a night at this hotel. Efficient and friendly service upon check-in and check-out. Lovely breakfast - lots of options, well looked after. Comfortable bed and room with great wifi. Enjoyed the indoor pool. Convenient location.
We were looking for a room at the last minute because of weather. A quick call and everything was done for us. We were given a suite and everything was perfect. Comfortable bed, excellent wifi connection and breakfast was great.
Stayed a night at this hotel this week. Efficient and friendly service upon check-in and check-out. Lovely breakfast - lots of options, well looked after. Comfortable bed and room with great wifi that was both fast and did not cut out. Handy location.
great family gataway...good location we had joining rooms which was a plus as we were 8 people all togheter...breakfast was really good place was kept very clean front desk staff was more than helpfull thank you
Very clean and very nice hotel. The suite we stayed in had French Door separating the living area from the bedroom This was a family stay and everything met our expectations. We did need to request a fan for the living room area as the AC was in the separate bedroom. Everything worked out though.
Good value for the money. Clean and comfortable property. Great breakfast, although very busy early in the morning. Staff pleasant and accommodating. Not much of a bar/ lounge. This hotel presents itself as a really nice family accommodation.
Everything was excellent, excellent services. Bonus: bilingual staff!!!I I slept well but the mattress was too soft and lumpy; probably old and need to be replaced.Breakfast choices were excellent, nice variety.
We have stayed here twice before when driving from Ontario to Halifax and it didn't disappoint this time. The hotel is right off the Trans Canada Hwy, check-in is fast, the rooms are large with all amenities that you need - lots of towels, shampoo, hot water, blankets and pillows. The breakfast buffet is substantial, good and has pleasant staff. We would stay here again if didn't want to stay in cute downtown Fredericton.
We arrived very late, early morning in fact and were greeted kindly by the gentleman doing the night shift. Everything went well with our stay, from cleanliness to supplies and breakfast. Would for sure stay again.
I recently stayed here for a 10 day business trip that included shift work. This hotel was quiet both during the day and night for sleeping. The house keeping staff worked around my schedule. The included breakfast was great to start or to finish my work days.
When we arrived the young ladies at the counters gave us a free upgrade to a beautiful room. The young ladies were very helpful and spent time showing us where the tourist sites were. The breakfast that was served was plentiful with lots of options.
Hotel was clean, close to all amenities and the Grant-Harvey arena where my son was playing hockey. Breakfast was good, or at least as good as any hotels bulk buffet breakfast can be. Pool is on the smaller side but still ample room, and the seating and area around the pool was nice. Rooms were fine, clean and relatively quiet to any outside noise. Windows int he rooms open so they ability to have fresh air was very nice. Only real knock I have is the check in reception area is smaller and a bit cramped when multiple guests are checking in, feel like everyone is on top of you. Great hotel and I recommend if your staying in Fredericton
We stayed a night while in Fredericton for a wedding. They had no problem getting us checked in early to our bright, clean room. The breakfast the next morning was fantastic and we especially loved the waffle maker! Check out was quick and easy even though they had a large group just pass through, the staff were still pleasant and quick.Could not say enough good things to others travelling for the wedding who stayed in a less than lack luster hotel. It was a little bit more than other hotels but worth it for sure. It was extremely easy to get to where we needed to go from the property and extremely easy to find for those not familiar with Fredericton
As busy as this place was , the services and the smiles were aboundant. Thanks you for making my stay a wonderfull one.Breakfast was great, comfortable beds.Check in and check out was fast and friendly ,keep up the good work.
just check drawers to make sure previous guest didn't leave anything ! Not really nice to find someone else's underwear in a drawer EWWWWW !!!!! Other than that room was clean, beds not overly comfortable ,very quite ,people nice at front desk ,close to everything ,(shopping restaurants etc!)
We stayed at the Best Western in Fredericton for one night, August 30th, 2018. Check in was very easy, the staff very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The smiling and friendly, Laila sent us to the Night Market in downtown which we thoroughly enjoyed. Easy to get to. The hotel had the most comfortable beds. I remarked a couple of times how homey it was. They had tea and coffee and water at the entrance which we loved. The free breakfast was the regular fare, but still good and well presented. Lots of parking and amenities nearby. We would definitely stay here again.
The hotel is well situated close to shopping and many different coices of restaurants, the property is kept clean, they have a very good breakfast with many choices, lots of parking, easy on and off the highway. Staff are very friendly and bilingual. Pool area is always clean and well kept. This is a super place to stay for a night, weekend or even longer.
This his by far the nicest hotel in Fredericton. Stayed there many times for business. Great hot breakfast included, landscape and hotel very clean! Pool and hot tub was nice and the front desk agents really helpful and great! Close to the mall and good restaurants, highly recommended to family, corperate and leisure!! Will be back next month! Congrat BW team and keep it up!
Great hotel, convenient location to getting on & off highway. Staff we meet were friendly and very helpful in all aspects of our stay. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on our next trip to the east coast. Had a great nights rest....
Stayed with my family and our dog on our East Coast road trip. Nice hotel with comfortable beds and a quiet atmosphere despite being full for the night. The kids and I enjoyed the pool and the hot tub after a long day of driving.
I recently stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights for a work related trip. Good location close to the highway, free parking, clean rooms and public areas, bilingual service, helpful staff, decent free breakfast. I would not hesitate to stay at that hotel again in the future.
Took full advantage of this hotels many amenities. Got laundry done onsite, while swimming & relaxing in the hot tub. Breakfast had lots of options even though it was busy. I even tried to print at business Centre. This hotel is conveniently located near Walmart, mall & a few restaurants which makes it a good stop if you need things.
The Hot tub sets this Best Western ahead of others I stay at. Most do not have a hot tub, and this one does... I enjoy relaxing after the day and the hot tub does it. Everything else about best Western I like across the board. My preferred hotel for sure
The beginning of a long road trip landed us in Fredericton at The Best Western Plus. It did not disappoint. The lovely clean room, two big comfortable beds, big shower, mini fridge and mircowave more than met our overnight needs. It is located near the Regent Street Mall where there was a large food court that appeased our supper cravings. A tasty breakfast in their very clean and well-run nook offered an assortment of hot and cold food choices as well as great coffee. This was included in our room fee. Great place to stay at a reasonable price.
I highly recommend this hotel for everyone. The hotel was very clean and the staff very helpful. They serve a hot breakfast, the internet works really well and the pool area was extremely clean. There is also a business centre as well as a fitness centre.
I did not use any of the extra amenities like pool exercise room . We found the the room fine. I did get woken up in the night from loud noise next door . We had their breakfast and it was good .over all it was great for a stop to get through to where we were going .
I was breaking up a long road trip with a quick overnight. Lived that it was located so close to the highway but without the noise. Close to many main stores. Every staff member I met was helpful, cheerful and took ownership of every question I had. Appreciated the attitude. Facilities were perfect for my needs.
Had a great stay, room was clean, our bed was comfortable! Staff answered all our questions. Very informative and pleasant! Appearance of the hotel was inviting and classy. We really enjoyed our many stays in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Fredericton and Edmundston.
This location was clean easily accessible. Front desk staff friendly and knowledgeable very helpful regarding finding places in area. Restaurant/bar was quick and had a good selection of finger foods. Room was average type room. Beds were comfortable, clean, lots of hot water in morning when showering. We were traveling thru the area booked last minute were very happy.
The hotel looks great from the outside like a Best Western normally does. Don't expect breakfast as a can't provide enough food for all the people traveling through and the quality was subpar. Pool is dirty and has a very VERY slippery floor for kids. Has so much potential but is not keeping up to traffic.
Arrived late and were welcomed by the desk staff. The paperwork was quickly taken care of and we entered a beautiful, pleasant room with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Hit the bed and slept well. Breakfast was more than adequate. We were very pleased with our stay.
The room I stayed in was & cozy and the beds were super splooshy. I cinnamon-rolled (slept or whatever you humans call it) very well. The noms were yummy, just like my Oxbow at home! I would definitely cinnamon roll here again. P.S. I'm a gerbil fat chunky sploosh.
Room was amazing... beds most comfortable of two week vacation... by far. Shower the best ever with large dual heads. Great wifi connection. For those who love... right beside giant VALUE VILLAGE. Very large TV.
The staff at this hotel was very helpful. They didn't know much about the town and its activities, however. Breakfast was a cut above standard motel fare. Our room was quite small for our family of 6. With the sofa bed folded out, there was barely room for our suitcases and then to move around. This would have been a better choice for a family of 2-4. The bathroom was nice and had a lovely shower.
My husband lounges staying at the BW because he feels they have the best mattresses and he always has a great sleep. We always choose BW when we can. Great rooms, very clean, breakfast included.. never disappoints and is always consistent...
The brand holds true for Best Western Plus. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fresh and the entire stay was a great experience. We were travelling through so this was a one night stay for our family and we had all amenities that we needed. There is laundry and the front desk had a cot in our room ready for us when we arrived.
Hands down the most amazing Best Western Plus we've ever stayed at! The staff is friendly, accommodating and awesome! The rooms are clean and comfy! Breakfast is spectacular and always fresh! The attendants are so nice and helpful! Pool is well kept and big! (Wish there was a kiddy section, but that's the only negative)
I booked online through Hotels.com. It seems all of my information was transferred to the hotel so booking in took about a minute. Check out was less than that. The service was fast and friendly. The room was spacious and clean. I wonder where the poor reviews come from???
Easily accessed from the highway and there's restaurants within driving distance. The room was nice and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was good, but very busy as the hotel was full. The pool was a nice size and we also enjoyed the hot tub.
The bed and pillows were the most comfortable of our trip! The room was very clean. They even had the remotes in bags labeled "fresh remotes". Being kind of a germaphobe, I loved that! The free breakfast was a banquet of hot and cold food. Excellent!
Clean and comfortable basic rooms. Two waffle makers at the breakfast bar so you can make yourself fresh waffles. Short drive into downtown. No noise from the street. Used this hotel for a quick stop over and it was perfect.
Great staff and services... clean and comfortable. The only negative I have is the breakfast... fruits were out of date and not enough choices in food. The service was great though... staff picks up dishes and utensils right when you need them to. Rooms are spacious and staff at the counter are unbelievable nice, always have a smile and make you feel welcomed. I enjoyed my stay and I strongly recommend this hotel.
Very clean, bed is very comfortable and the staff was excellent! I asked for a room with a certain type of bed, she didn't have one but she upgraded me to a suite that had the bed I wanted, for the same price. Very nice of her.
It's a very nice hotel. My only complaint is the Internet was slow. The hotel seemed full so that might have been why. Excellent breakfast! Staff were very nice. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. We will stay here again.
I arrived in Fredericton on the night of April 12, 2018 and it was so late that my husband and I decided to stay in a hotel for a night or two before we stayed at his parents. Trip advisor brought up this hotel as one of the first five and certainly wasn't the cheapest option but it had a last minute booking for a fair price for a non cancellation room and had good reviews. So we booked this hotel through another online booking site that had a cheaper price and specifically told the booking agent that if she booked us queen beds that my infants playyard must fit, she assured me it would. So we checked in late that night with the ladies at the front desk went up to the room opened the door to two queen beds and proceeded to laugh where would a baby playyard fit? So we promptly left the room and went back to the front desk where i explained to the ladies about the issue. They were great they found a room that worked it was a bit of an upgrade but didn't charge us for it due to the whole confusion. Very nice and clean room all the staff including the cleaning staff was very pleasant and kind and made small talk. The hot breakfast was not too bad for what they provide but would mich rather have a fresh egg instead of the premade ones. I am quite impressed with this hotel. Worth the stay although some of the prices are a bit too much as i have seen them pretty high.
Enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Employee service was excellent and everyone very accommodating. It was very convenient to have a gym at the hotel. It was very clean and all machine were in working order. The rooms were very clean. and the beds very comfortable as well. A delicious hot breakfast was available each morning . Coffee was great!!
A great hotel to stay in when passing through Fredericton for business. Super clean, great service, includes breakfast and just a great overall stay. Bathrooms are very clean, staff are very friendly, and close to the highway for travel.
We had a special request that was for medical reasons which they happily accomodated us right from our reservation to the moment we checked out. This meant a lot that they were very understanding of the circumstances. Thank you again.
We have stayed at this property maybe 3-4 times per year since it opened new in 2008, they have excellent staff since new. Fully bilingual, so pleasant, especially if we travel with the pup (we have a new one year old, Kelley promised she would call if he was noisy, when we left him to go out to dinner!) and the rooms are very consistently neat, quiet and and very clean. Breakfast is decent and very pleasant breakfast staff, check in/out is effortless. There is a small bar and bar food area that is really pleasant that you can catch a quick bite at or an after dinner cocktail at, if you don't want to venture out. I always look forward to staying here. Keep up the good work!
Stayed here many times and as usual the service is great! I would really like to mention the lady who runs the breakfast in the mornings. She is fantastic! She's always friendly and very helpful! She has been here the last three times we've stayed here and every time she is wonderful! A real asset to the hotel! Lastly, I would like to say how clean the hotel is kept!
I recently spent a few days at the Best Western while working in the area. Everything went smooth, from the check in to the check out. The room was very comfortable and offered everything I needed. I had a quiet sleep each night and wake up calls each morning exactly on time. They offer a nice free breakfast and it's location is perfect. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
Looking for a place to stay in Fredericton this is the one. Friendly staff , very quiet rooms and the breakfast is excellent ! It is well located easily accessible from the high way . You can t get a better place for the price
We were in Fredericton for a stay at the BW inn Fredericton. The staff were friendly and the breakfast wos hot and as expected. The problem was in our room the shower drain was filthy with black gunk. Looked like not cleaned in a while. The door in the room was a joke. Under the door to the room on one side of the door there was a normal gap of about 1/4". On the other side there was almost a 2"gap. I could slide my hand under the door into the hallway and from the hallway you could look under the door if getting down to floor level. Absolutely ridiculous that the hotel staff have not noticed this or accepted this as their standards. We complained to the "send your comments online". Upon our arrival at home someone called and offered to give us back all the reward points back we had used for our first night stay and add enough to give us a second night stay for free. Today we tried to book a hotel room and use our 2 free nights. We are told that the points required "now" for two night have increased and we no longer have enough. We called the same customer satisfaction people and after arguing with them they stick with their point that even if they give us a few more extra points we have to buy a extra 4000 point to get that second night on our rewards points. Terrible service and terrible rewards program. WE WILL NEVER AGAIN STAY AT ONE OF YOUR HOTELS>
This hotel is a fairly new property with nice amenities. Our room had a comfortable King size bed with coffee maker, fridge, microwave, sofa, desk, and a large flat screen TV. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. We used the indoor pool and hot tub and found them to be well maintained. Sometimes indoor pool rooms can be must and humid, but this one is well ventilated. I take issue with another reviewer who commented on a mediocre breakfast. This hotel offered one of the best complimentary breakfasts which in addition to the cold cereals and muffins, also offered fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, canadian bacon, sausage, waffles, yogurt, coffee, and juice. The breakfast definitely exceeded our expectations. This Best Western reflects well not only on the BW brand, but leaves visitors with a favorable impression of New Brunswickers as well.
Nice new hotel in Fredericton with clean rooms, average breakfast but not very close to amenities and restaurants. I wished there was more to do in the area but was still okay with a rental car. Not close to the downtown area.
Wonderful rooms, delightful breakfast and staff. Then after a long day in training you can relax in hot tub and relax. I highly recommend this hotel for an easy stress free way to upgrade your training
The beds at this hotel are the worst beds I've ever slept on in a hotel. I stayed in a room with two queens, and tried both to confirm that it wasn't an anomaly. Both beds had enormous divots in the middle of the mattress. They weren't just "squishy" as you'd imagine a bed with a pillow top would be. It was as if the springs in the centre of the bed had entirely given out. Despite trying to sleep on the side of the bed, where there was slightly more support, I'd inevitably roll into the centre while sleeping. Suffice it to say I had a restless night. Breakfast was your standard, mediocre hotel breakfast. Nothing special. Room was clean, microwave & fridge both worked, water pressure fine. But honestly the most important thing about a hotel is that you sleep there, so the bed being awful ruined the experience.
It's probably my 8 time staying at this hotel in the past 6 years and it seems to get better as time goes by. Very clean, staff bilingual, pool and gym are outstanding. Morning breakfast is the only sour note for me, same rudimentary choices while other hotel from the same chain are adapting to the new way of things. The bar after 5pm is extremely nice and prices are very good plus now you can get snacks (almost meal) without to leave hotel. Lot's of parking, quiet not far from the shopping mall and restaurants. Would stay there again.
We stayed here for the second time on new years and it was a good experience. However we did have a young group of adults (21 -24 yrs old) who were a little noisy in the hall way and could be heard from our room. To be expected I guess for the season. Overall we love best western hotels and the service they provide. We will use this hotel again as it has great anmenties close to restaurants and shopping and a great hot breakfast in the morning!
We stayed in a ground floor King suite. Bar fridge and microwave worked well; however, there is no cutlery, etc., so bring from home if you'd like to eat in the room. The breakfast area may have what you need, but their options will be plastic and paper. My only issue was that the room had a Keurig, rather than the usual coffee machine, but this is just a preference. The sitting area was just big enough for the 4 of us to have a comfortable visit, it was helpful to have the sink outside the bathroom. The bedroom has a separate door, which would be very nice for those wanting a nap. There were 2 TV's, so it would be easy to split up i.e. hockey versus girl flick :-). Service was excellent! We were late for breakfast, but were still able to get hot options and we were also late checking out. Everyone was helpful and considerate without extra charge. The hotel is located directly beside a Value Village and a short drive from a mall with a movie theatre. So, a car's needed, but overall a good location. We'd stay again
Almost a home away from home. They recognize the long day of work and the need to do paperwork in the evening always have a suitable room ready and the staff especially are quite nice and ready to help make everything right for my stay. They also expedite the check in and out process. The rooms are always extremely well prepared and they have made notes on my preferences and strive to have me in the rooms I feel the most comfortable
After having a terrible flying trip from Edmonton Alberta. When we called and made reservations for a hotel the front desk clerk Monica was so helpful!!! She got us booked into a king suite, called around to restaurants to try and find us food late at night on Christmas, and she unlocked the pool and hot tub for an extra hour so my boyfriend and I could relax in the hot tub, she also made us a couple cocktails even though she had just shut down the lounge and she brought them right to the hot tub for us. The room was very clean and super comfortable. We will definately be back. Thank you so much Monica ????
Really nice hotel, all nice staff my only concern is they using a bit too much of that caroet cleaner product. Breakfast is superb, lots of choice and all fresh. Lots of place to seat down compare to some other locations.
Perfect location near mall and Costco as well as restaurants. Easy access to highway and downtown and very close to a growing Hanwell area. Clean and quiet rooms that include a good breakfast with very good waffles and muffins. Lots of seating in the breakfast area. This hotel also has an indoor pool and gym area.
we were there on a Ringuette tournament, our girls are about 8 u years old, and the night at the hotel if what they are looking forward to.... the staff were being really mean - we had nowhere to go to mingle with other parents. they even call the police as we were in the hallways talking.... ridiculous
Another attractive, clean and efficient BW Hotel with easy highway access. Pleasant staff, comfortable bed and a terrific shower in the "newer wing". Only problem was the normal over-crowded poorly laid out breakfast room. Most chaotic way to start your day
Excellent experience. The weather was bad and I didn't want to drive any further. Your staff was expedient and professional. I arrived late a night and and was tired and just wanted to get off the road. Well done!
Well for starters, I was on a Business venture and I was questioning a room on my floor, will not tell you which one as this was unprofessional and I am disgusted at the language and the pleasure I heard coming from the next room. My only thought was good grief come on morning as I need to get out of here. All I heard were sexual and drug related conversations throughout the night, Oddly disgusted and I also know that I cannot wait to get a hold of the owners when I find out their information, I am sorry but I actually found a used condom in the Hallway to my room. That right there was enough for me... Sounds like they have a lot of traffic In that room. I feel bad for the cleaners if they go in to it daily. Also I always thought this was a classy Hotel, I think things just got a little lower class!
I recently stayed at the BW in Fredericton and although I think the bed was awesome, I have some complaints. First, there was a ringette tournament going on so the hotel was full of kids. When I checked in, the girl told us and said she would put us on the fourth floor so there was no one over top of us. I thought she was meaning away from all the kids/noise. The 4th floor was full of kids/people so I was wrong assuming that's what she was talking about. We were there for a concert as it was my birthday. We went to the concert got back late at night. We were woken up very early with kids running and screaming up and down the hall, needless to say sleep was in short supply. Like really parents, that's not appropriate in the hotel. Once things quieted down, we did fall back asleep. When I awoke, it was 11:00 a.m. I called the front desk as check out was 11:00 and asked for a later checkout time. He said they would have to charge me a half day, so I said forget it we will leave. We got up dressed and went to the lobby. When I tried to check out, the girl at the front desk did NOT know how to put through the payment on a BEST WESTERN gift card. REALLY, it's there own gift card and the front desk clerk did not know how to use it, she wanted to charge my credit card. She told me I'd have to wait until the other desk clerk returned. So I was in a hurry to get out of the room to wait for the other clerk to check out. I also told her about all the noise/kids running around and she said "sorry to hear that". We waited for 10 minutes for him to return and give her a lesson on how to put through the BW gift card. I will not be staying here anytime soon.
A warm an friendly place with a family atmosphere !! From the front desk to the janitors and breakfast staff to the the lounge staff everybody were willing to do there to best to help with a friendly smile !!!!
Have stayed here several to.es over the past year, every stay has been great. Rooms are very clean, staff is wonderful, breakfast is delicious with a great variety. Definitely would recommend anyone staying here! I will definitely be back!!
Hotel staff very accommodating. Rooms comfortable and clean. Breakfast buffet included was good with good selection of hot or cold items. Location easy to get to and near shopping mall, Abony Tennis Centre and restaurants. Indoor pool available so great for family get-a-way or sports teams.
Fine facility, good breakfast with real dishes and utencils not paper of foam plates... nice touch. Staff are pros , very personable. Room is well appointed , modern, decent décor. I travel for business, I keep returning here as it has come to feel like home.
I stayed here for 1 night with my husband and 3 year old daughter. We picked this hotel because of the convenience of being close to lots of stores and restaurant, and it has a swimming pool and hot tub. The wifi worked great too. We are happy with our stay. The breakfast wasn't so good, but had enough choices to be satisfied.
The staff were friendly and professional, the room was clean and comfortable. I arrived at a busy check in time but staff did a wonderful job of professing chexk ins quickly and professionally. What more could I ask for?
BW in Fredericton is my place of choice everytime i go to Fredericton. I've stayed there many times in the past few years and I'm always satisfied with the quality I received everytime i go there. (hotel and staff). Can't go wrong if you select this BW.
My stay was great. Staff went beyond my expectations! Don't hesitate to book a room at this venue. It is an exeprience to stay at this hotel, since all staff make you feel at home. Both Fredericton and Grand Falls locations are great!
I enjoyed my stay at BW. Suite was clean and well layed out. Staff was polite and very helpful. Breakfast in the morning was very good, eggs, sausages, toast, fruit, hot and cold cereal, bagels, juices, and coffee.
I had a very nice time at this hotel, They always ask if I need any assists with my stay. It a comfortable setting and staff is always is polite. I would recommend this location as reasonable priced and well worth it.
I have stayed at this hotel often and it is always great. Rooms are always clean and comfortable and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The only bad thing is that it's usually one of the more expensive places to stay. But you get what you pay for in this case.
Ideal hotel location next to highway, and several shopping centres with several types of restaurant available. The hotel is relatively new, rooms a re spacious and very clean. Including breakfast with the hotel room is always convenient, especially when on a road trip. Children always love the indoor pool.
This is a great hotel. Minutes from shopping, restaurants and hospital. Quiet, clean fresh decor. Very professional staff and a better than average breakfast. There is a lounge for drinks in the evening, a pool and a fitness centre. Best bang for your buck in this area by far.
Spent night for anniversary. Staff very nice, room was nice and clean. Saw what looked to be some players from a sports team entering when we arrived, were kind of thinking it might be noisy but the hotel was so quiet we never heard a sound. Very professional and helpful staff, made suggestions for local entertainment and food, called cab for us.
Large, comfortable room. Breakfast was really good. The bed was most comfortable of any hotel we stayed in forbour 4 week trip. Amazed at low price for the value. We stayed in Marriott Residence Inns for the majority of our vacation. We didn't know a Best Western could have this quality. What a bargain.
Best Western provided splendid but not too expensive opportunity for seven of us (family members and spouses to meet in two adjacent rooms. We took advantage of my 50th Anniversary of Graduation from UNB for this get together.
I have stayed at this hotel many times, most often for a night at a time. It is always clean, comfortable and quiet. I find the staff are always polite and welcoming and I would not hesitate to stay here again!
Good value, new, friendly staff and a good breakfast with lots of room for those taking part in breakfast. Room was very clean and large enough. Lounge bar service was convenient for refreshment after returning to hotel for the evening. Pool area was clean and refreshing. Desk staff were helpful and efficient and provided good service.
Very close to all conference centers, shopping and University. Great breakfast and swimming pool. I recommend this location for sporting events also as there is full breakfast, swimming and close to arenas
The Best Western Plus Fredericton surpassed our expectations in terms of the room size, décor, and amenities. It was spacious, well-appointed, and very comfortable. We were only there for one night, but wanted to stay longer because the room was so nice! Breakfast was quite good and the pub food and drink at the bar were tasty. Staff were friendly, courteous and efficient. All-in-all, a great stay.
Traveling home always stop in Fredericton or Saint John. First time in this hotel in a few years. It is a little dated..needs renovation. Most negative reviews I share. For the money spent expected a lot more.
The hotel is very nice. Although the lobby is a little small, the decor is upscale. There is an excellent WiFi and a great breakfast. The breakfast area doubles as the bar in the evening. We found the parking lot to be fairly tight and it took a little manoeuvering to escape in the morning. The location is excellent with easy access to main roads and the hoghway.
I stay here on business six or seven times per year, two nights each time. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with this place! Great staff, lovely decor, great beds/rooms, hot and delicious breakfast, hot showers, very quiet, two elevators, clean indoor pool, very comfortable outdoor terrace with umbrellas in summer, and they recently redesigned their evening bar/lounge service to offer a variety of food with a good choice of mostly pub/snack foods/pizza, and I think they do limited room service (although I did not order any myself). There is no restaurant onsite, so bar/lounge food is good for guests who don't want to drive to a restaurant (although there are about 10 within a three-minute drive of the BW and most restaurants in this city offer delivery service). This property is very near the best shopping malls in the city, easy to find from the highway, and they also allow pets in some rooms for a fee and by prior reservation. All in all, best value and best place in town! Highly recommended (and not, I am NOT related to the owners or the business!!) I justg appreciate the place.
We stayed only one night during a two week trip, but it was very pleasant, clean, good breakfast, easily met all expectations. Would definitely book it again or recommend it. Friendly staff, good location with easy access.
Travelled here on a long weekend- had never stayed in Fredericton overnight. Read reviews, have heard good things about BW hotels, thought we'd give it a try... regretted it from the moment we walked in the door and it never improved. The greeting- the guy checking us in had been talking to a friend when we arrived. We waited 5 minutes until his friend left. Then we were spoken to with short sentences and made to feel we were inconveniencing him. Then we got to the room. Talk about small and cramped. We had a King Suite and there is a small little walkway and every piece of furniture touched another. The furniture is way too big for the room and there is just too much of it. You open the room door and hit an entertainment centre- You sit on a char and have to put your feet on the bed. (And the closet door wouldn't even open) THEN we went to breakfast- which ends at 9:30 on the weekend! Earliest I've ever seen breakfast end. And if you aren't there early you won't get any. They locked the door at 9:27. We got there just in time. And stood in line for literally 25 minutes before we got our food and sat down with our plastic cutlery and paper plates. Yikes. My wife said the lady at the counter at checkout was nice.... (even though we weren't supposed to talk to her- our bill wasn't slipped under our door like it was supposed to be)
This hotel is well located, the rooms are large and comfortable and the staff was also cooperative and polite...we were there for only one night but would return if ever in the area. The only negative comment is how the breakfast room is very noisy and very small...
The staff was very friendly. When I arrived at check in I waited a long time and then was informed my room was not ready and asked if I wanted to wait or get a new room. I needed to get back to the wedding so had to take a different room. The water pressure for the shower was very poor. Besides these issues the stay was great for the little time I was there.
One of the best experience I've had in a hotel. It was super clean and beautifully decorated. They let us check in earlier and check out late without any hesitation. My kids visited us in the hotel and they were welcomed by the staff and not given any trouble when they arrived.
only stayed 1 night on way back from Nova Scotia very clean pleasant staff comfortable beds and reasonably quite ..Breakfast room food just OK sausage was not very good would prefer bacon but all and all good stay informative front desk and friendly people would stay again if in the area
Stayed here while on work. The room was a good size and clean. They have all the amenities you will need. The free breakfast is your normal hotel fair, while the staff working there make you feel at home.
Great hotel. Clean and perfect location. Great staff. Especially want to mention Andy on the night desk. He's friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. Will bend over backwards to help a guest. Definitely your "A" person! Would give 5 star rating except that the breakfast experience leaves much to be desired. A single line forms and everything is on one long counter. You stand in line waiting for the next item. If you want a coffee refill, you have to cut into the line. Feels awkward. Really would help to move the toaster and waffle maker to a separate station.
I travel for work and have stayed in countless hotels - the beds here are the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever experienced. The hot tub wasn't hot but the pool is decent and the location is great!
We were late in making a reservation while traveling and so the king suite was the only remaining room. We took it and it was a treat. Fake fireplace. Leather couch. Nicer linens and toiletries and TWO showerheads. Fair price too.
Excellent Front Desk Staff and lovely reception room. I could sleep on the sofa in reception it's so comfy! The suite is beautiful, comfortable, updated and impeccably clean. Staff provided an excellent suggestion for a seafood dinner (Wolastoq Wharf) and provided answers to all our City questions. Thanks for a wonderful experience! T&W
The hotel was very busy, which I believe to be a testament to it's value. It's a clean, comfortable, up-to-date hotel for a reasonable price. The bed was very comfortable. Clock had usb ports for charging. Breakfast was okay. There's a small bar in the hotel...good for a night cap. However, not much for food..limited snack selection.
The hotel didn't strike me as being up to the normal BW standards, more specifically the overall cleanliness of the room. The bathroom in particular could have used a good scrub. The continental breakfast was okay.
I really do not like giving negative feedback, but I need to warn anyone booking this hotel because they need a 'kitchenette' during their stay that they will likely be disappointed. I complained to the staff, but no one bothered to even speak with me about this. We had driven over 1000kms from Ontario ,thinking we had a hotel room with a kitchenette. Caveat emptor!
We stayed here for a couple of nights early August, and chose it because of its location (close to Odell Park) & amenities (free parking / free breakfast / launderette / swimming pool). The room was as you'd expect. The reception staff were faultless - very accommodating whatever the query, and especially helpful when it came to providing us with the necessaries for the launderette. The swimming pool was a plus but you take pot luck if you are expecting it to be quiet as that'll depend on how many families with young kids there are! There was the usual scrum at breakfast but plenty of variety and the dining room was much larger than at some similar hotels we've stayed at. All round? : well done to the team at Best Western Fredericton.
A very pleasant Best Western... actually out best in Canada thus far. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. The only problem I encountered was that the fan on our cooling unit did not work. We had a room on the highway which was very noisy, something obviously that the hotel cannot control...but white noise from running the fan would have helped us sleep better tremendously. I hope this problem will be rectified. All in all a good place to stay
Stayed for one night on our way to Nova Scotia. Very clean, comfortable hotel. Staff was very friendly and helped to recommend a restaurant for dinner that was excellent. Good breakfast with lots of variety. The only thing that was a bit of a dissapointment for a newer hotel was the air conditioning. It was the loudest unit I have had in a hotel in a long while, particularily upon start up. In fact it was so noisy we had to shut it off as it kept waking us up. This of course made for a stuffy room. For one night this was not a problem, but had we been staying longer it would have been as issue. Other than that a great option to stay in Fredericton.
It's a pleasant stay at this hotel. Staff are friendly. Breakfast included is a bonus. They have a big rain shower in addition to a regular shower head enclosed with sliding doors which is a better choice than a bathtub. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in a clean and friendly environment for leisure or for business.
Every time I stay at the Best Western Plus I am never disappointed. Very clean hotel. Very accomodating staff. Very good breakfast included. I recommend this chain. I have stayed in Fredericton, Moncton & Edmunston and have always been happy with the hotel.
Check in staff was very helpful in directing us to various locations for shopping for a few items, as well as various dining options. Only stayed one night, but was quiet and very relaxing after a long drive.
My husband and I stayed here the night after our wedding before we took off on our honeymoon. We checked in late, which was fine, and the process went very smoothly. When we got to our room, everything was good. Nothing over the top, but nothing to complain about either. The jacuzzi tub was a good size and easy to use and the bed was really comfortable. There wasn't a whole lot of room besides that but that was okay as we were only there for one night. The next morning we woke up and missed breakfast because it ended quite early and we had had a long couple of days before this, so if you want breakfast, no sleeping in! :) There was a keurig, however, so we did each get a coffee before we departed. Overall, a great hotel in Fredericton.
This was a most enjoyable stay and very comfortable room. the king bed was comfortable. Very nice couch & chairs to relax. Breakfast was very good, with a good variety. Nice granite counter with a bar fridge.
We really enjoyed our stays while in New Brunswick on vacation. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was very good; only problem was the layout of the room caused there to be one very big lineup (& longer waiting) no matter what you were after.
Stayed in June. It was very busy when we arrived - a bus had arrived at the same time. The staff were very nice. I had to make a modification (add an additional person) to the room and the staff were very pleasant to deal with. The room was a bit on the small side - but was clean. The breakfast was nice - there were many choices - even if there were many people eating all at the same time.
My short stay was good. a little expensive considering I rented a meeting space, room and catering. The service was great. There i very few places of interest to walk to (restaurants, pubs, local sites etc.).
Stayed here for 1 night over the weekend in July. I had to insert my room key in the ice machine to get ice and also to get into the breakfast room, and we supposedly couldn't have breakfast without a ticket they gave us. It made me feel like they had lost a level of trust with their guests. However when we went to breakfast nobody asked for our tickets so I didn't see the point in having a ticket. The breakfast itself was disappointing - they ran out of boiled eggs (so I didn't have any at all since I am allergic to milk and could not eat the scrambled eggs) and it looked like they ran out of muffins. Breakfast area configuration could be improved - juice cups should be next to the juice dispenser, right? Also two tables were "occupied" by supplies so nobody could sit there. And it was Sunday morning, a busy time. It is peak season, I know, however for the price I guess I expected more.
I would not rave about this hotel. It's location is no where near the downtown and the pool is tiny and cold. The rooms are standard but most of the staff were quite friendly. I liked the paintings in the lobby and rooms but there was no WOW factor and for the money I expected a bit better. It was $190 per night.
Overall my stay was OK but I have had better service and accommodations from your competition. Meals cold, service poor, coffee none if you arrive later. Really have had better service at other hotels (such as Holiday Inn). But can say staff tried to do their best with what tools they had. Possibly giving them the tools they need will help with customer. You advertise about your pillows and they were terrible.
As usual best western plus lives up to its standard fare. Great room reasonable price quiet immaculate and staff very friendly . Looking forward to our trip tomorrow after a good nights sleep. Beds are super comfortable
We stayed the 3rd week of July and while the hotel was busy, the staff were always friendly and made time to answer questions. The room was very clean and comfortable. The a/c was noisy at times, but did get used to it by the second night. Breakfast selection was great! We were lost a few times in and around the city, but the hotel staff supplied us with maps and directions which were greatly appreciated.
What a relaxing stay and the receptionist was helpful to first-time visitors. The rooms were tidy and plenty of space for my family. There is a pool, hot tub plus a gym in case you need to move your muscles after an extensive drive. A small restaurant is on site for hungry weary travelers and the hot breakfast was generous as well.
I found this hotel to be extremely busy. Early in the morning starting at 7 am you could hear the doors slamming all over the hallway. Also the breakfast is supposed to run till 10:30 am- as we showed up at 10:15 am we found that they already run out of toast, eggs, etc.... For the price we paid I expected a bit more.
Checked in around 6. Room wasn't ready but the staff was so pleasant that I couldn't be upset about it. Staff made a great "outside" restaurant recommendation. Room was clean and comfortable. Great nights sleep. Wifi was a little slow at times but livable. Definitely recommend!
Always stay here for our midway stop from Quebec City to Halifax. It helps cut driving time and road stress. Stayed here many times and have had NO problems at all. Everything is quick and easy... Every time we showed up without a reservation, they always had accommodation available and have always been friendly and helpful. The rooms are huge and clean... the beds are awesome; you just sink into them when you lie down... makes for a wonderful sleep. This last time was the first time I booked online and accidentally choose 1 guest instead of 2... I didn't think it would be a problem adjusting once I got there. The staff said it was no problems and we started joking about it... it was funny and helped with just the general ambiance about the whole place... it may be a little thing but it all comes down to customer service. There are a lot of hotels in this area and we've stayed at a few in the same circumstances. We've stayed here now for the past 4-5 times we've been through and we will continue to do so. Highly recommend it.
This is an amazing property. Super clean. Great pool and fitness area. The bar/lounge has decent finger foods, and great beer (Picaroon's)! If the front desk staff stepped it up a bit, this would be a 5 star! Also, it's a huge hotel with only one small elevator in the lobby, so its a long wait with luggage if one is on the 2nd-4th floors.
The hotel was located in a convenient location for taking a walking tour of the city. We toured the province's legislative building, watched the changing of the guard, visited the beautiful Beaverbrook Art Gallery.
We will stay here again hands down ! The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. We really enjoyed the Jacuzzi suite, very relaxing and easy to use. Staff were excellent very friendly and accommodating !
A1 service and hospitality at this Hotel! A must stay at while traveling the East Coast route> Easy access to and from the Trans Canada Highway. Plenty of Major Brand name Shopping in the Area. Plenty of Restaurants to choose fro as well.
This room was clean and comfortable with no surprises. The staff was nice and helpful. The Woodstock BW was booked during the pending July 1 celebration and gave us a list of other hotels, and this hotel booked us immediately.
Scenic and quiet location of hotel with relatively easy access to downtown Halifax. The restaurant decor was very nice but the bonus was the patio overlooking Chocolate Lake with a sunset being enjoyed during dinner. Room very comfortable and staff very helpful especially at the restaurant.
This hotel messed up our check-in (new staff member and was by herself), my husband was in bed when front staff called him to came back to re--check in and we had been traveling all day and part of the night. Beds were lumpy and weird, no ventilation fan in the bathroom made it muggy and difficult to change and get ready. Breakfast selection wasn't all that great, muffins were kind of stale and the eggs were all crusty. The morning staff seemed indifferent and not very friendly.
This is a lovely Best Western. Were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade.Very friendly staff and especially attentive breakfast attendant. Huge walk in shower with rain head shower. Very quiet room. This BW is located very close to a mall with shopping and eating facilities.
We booked the room through Air Miles and we're surprised to be given a King suite. The room was amazing. One point deducted for the included breakfast replenishment of the buffet was rather slow. Otherwise a great hotel.
I love staying at Best Western plus in Fredericton. I need to stay quite often in Fredericton for work, and Best Western has become my home away from home. Everything from the bilingual friendly staff, to the comfortable bedrooms always makes my stay quite satisfactory.
Large clean room in dark depressing colors. Reception very friendly. Good location to the highway. The breakfast is a disaster. I never saw such a bad organisation. For every item you have to stand in line. You want a piece of fruit : stand in the same line again. You want an extra cup of coffee stand in line again. It took us more than one hour to have a complete breakfast. The solution is evident: split the lines. Set the coffeemachines in another corner. Separate the cold and the hot items and remove a few tables from the serving room. Your waitresses were exhausted and nervous
Beautiful hotel with awesome staff always ready to help. Comfortable and quiet. Great location. Close to restaurant/mall/outlets with an easy access downtown. Lots of parking spaces. Easy and fast check-in and check-out.
Stayed here for business before but the stay this weekend for a soccer tournament was exceptional. Staff is extremely helpful to deal with unplanned issues. Kids loved the pool and breakfast! Room with a kitchenette was great for getting snacks organized while on the soccer field.
Stayed here for business for three nights. Very friendly staff, very clean rooms and nice quiet hotel. Good happy hour at night...only an hour long though and did not include wine specials...could be improved. Wish the fitness centre was 24 hours like most hotels nowadays...only opened at 6:00 AM which was an inconvenience since we left early for work...same goes with the business centre. So although my stay was enjoyable, this hotel needs to catch up with the times with their competitors. Other than that...a pleasant stay.
I have stayed at this hotel a few times and each time I was treated the very best. The rooms are clean, quiet, and nicely decorated. The beds are very comfortable. Sometimes, I have trouble sleeping on hotel beds, but not on the ones at this hotel.
would have to say this hotel is one of the best hotel I stay in and I travel a lot and would have to say the staff and all of them is a number 10+++++++ they make you fell like family every time I stay at this hotel awesome keep up the good work and your employer should proud of all is staff even the cleaning staff I have never seen a hotel so clean in my life and I stay in motel a lot every time you turn around someone is cleaning awesome breakfast I could wright a story about this hotel staff and management.
Great staff, comfortable rooms. Request a room in the "new" part... Much nicer. :) Breakfast id typical... Nothing special. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. There is a small bar open in the evening, which is the breakfast spot in the morning.
Pleasantly surprised, Best Western Plus is a plus, something a little extra and good value. Excellent location and easy to find. Clean & the décor presents an upscale class and comfort. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. A relaxing and enjoyable stay.
The room was very comfortable and clean with comfy beds. The breakfast had great variety and attentive staff. The location was very handy from the trans Canada highway but be aware that there are not very many restaurants nearby so if you are travelling through you may want to find a restaurant before you check in.
Decent room! Colours are definitely dated. Staff was very friendly. Maybe this was my fault for assuming but didn't have mini shampoo.. Only body lotion and conditioner. So my hair got washed with body lotion. Was in a hurry and didn't have time to call for shampoo and shower again. So my hair was pretty gross. Breakfast should be till at least 10am like every other hotel.
I have stayed at the Best Western at least half a dozen times, with my dog, and never been disapppointed. The staff have always been friendly and competent, the rooms spotlesss, and the bed comfortable.
Super comfortable, the room was better than expected- a separate living room area that would've been perfect if I had my family with me. Friendly staff. I'll stay here again next time I come up with family.
We stayed at this hotel because we were moving and our home was being packed up. We were impressed with the courteous staff and excellent service. We were surprised at the quality of the mattresses as we slept very comfortably and soundly. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.
I love this place, I booked late and got a huge room with a king bed. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful from the desk to the janitor! A very nice hot breakfast with staff more than willing to help n serve. The food was fresh and very good! Thank you BWP!!!
Hotel was very nice extremely clean and excellent staff! Unfortunately the fireplace in our room did not work. But we were offered to move to another room to rectify this situation. We were overall very happy with stay.
Blue Light on the Heater panel was annoying. Cleaning staff left lovely note for me. Breakfast was acceptable and free with dumb voucher tickets. Room key failed twice due but was handled well. Internet was pretty slow when they were busy. Otherwise acceptable!
Always enjoy the service at this hotel! Staff is friendly, enjoy the fact that we do not have to wait in line for check out, and fitness centre is clean. Close to major shopping malls and popular spots.
I booked ahead for 2 nights as my son had a basketball jamboree that weekend in Fredericton. Check-in was quick but the receptionist didn't give us any information on location of any hotel amenities. We found our room which was clean enough and found ourselves hungry so went back down to fromt desk as I noticed a pub menu when checking in. The pub wasn't opened yet and we again were not told where it was even located so I took the kids out for supper. We found the pool that evening but didn't stay long as it was not very clean. The hot tub area especially had a build up of gunk. I am pregnant travelling alone with a 9 and 2 year old so we attempt to get some sleep in preparation for our busy day. Around 3 am we are woken up by people partying in the room below us so I call front desk multiple times with no answer. I am super annoyed and exhausted when I go down with the kids for breakfast! I ask the lady at the front desk if someone works overnight at front desk and tell her of my many attempts to call. She basically accuses me of lying and says that although the man working overnight was probably busy getting the breakfast buffet ready that he ALWAYS keeps the phone turned up and would have heard it. I bring up the cleanliness of the pool area and she again dismisses my concern saying it is cleaned daily. I try calling the customer service for Best Western to get out of my reservation but don't get through so I send an email hoping I can get out of my second night and stay somewhere else. Unfortunately I don't get a response from the email either and decide to stick it out the second night as we couldn't afford to not be refunded if I wasn't allowed to cancel the reservation. Night 2: people under us start partying at 10pm... seriously! The hotel is not even close to being fully booked, the parking lot is near empty so why couldn't they have moved these people to a new room away from a family with small children!? I call front desk and ask this exact question and the man tells me he will go find out where the noise is coming from and ask them to quiet down a bit. I can actually hear him knock on the door below and they did quiet down briefly until he was gone obviously. They than got twice as loud probably annoyed that I complained. Luckily they must have went out about midnight and I was able to fall asleep. Sooo, morning comes and the alarm clock that hadn't been set by me and hadn't gone off the day prior goes off at 6am. Seriously never had a worse experience trying to sleep at a hotel b4. Being pregnant I am up frequently anyway to use the bathroom but this was brutal! Two nights without sleep going non-stop with 2 children than having to drive hours to get home again while trying not to pass out was not the weekend I had envisioned. When Best Western finally responded to my email 4 days later it was from a do not reply address asking me to call them. It took my a few times calling to finally be able to speak to someone. She seemed sympathetic and told me that although she couldn't regund the secind night that she would credit my rewards account with enough points to stay a free night at any Best Western. I accepted and upon checking my points discovered that only 8000 were added. There literally isn't a hotel anywhere that you can book for 8,000! This one I stayed at was 20,000. I called again and basically was told they wouldn't be compensating me any further. These points are useless to me and I will never stay at a Best Western again.
Very expensive considering other leading hotels offer significantly lower prices. Hotel appears dated but that might be just the theme. Pool was nothing to write home about as it was very small. Breakfast not worth celebrating even when included for free.
The hotel is conveniently located for travelers on a roadtrip between Maine and Nova Scotia or Prince Edward Island. The beds were excellent. Soundproofing is fine too. The room we stayed in was in the deluxe section (numbers in the thousand+) and was very quiet. The kitchenette did not have a sink, but it did have a microwave, a toaster, a fridge and a coffee maker. Lighting was good. The interior decorating is a bit brown/dark and classic, not modern. Staff is friendly and efficient. Breakfast selection was good.
Very nice, quiet hotel, friendly staff. Big rooms. Good breakfast, I missed vegetables only. My room was in the end of corridor and I didn't have strongest wifi connection. Very good fitness center and business center.
stayed at this hotel on the to and on the way from USA. Enjoyed both stays. All staff here are friendly, helpful, courteous and made me feel as though my enjoyment of their hotel was their top priority. Stayed in a suite both times, Room 1011, 1012. Everything was clean, comfortable, new, and all systems (heating, cooling, windows opened, toilet, etc) worked. Walk in shower was bliss - 2 shower heads, one on the wall and one overhead. On the first stay, we arrived at 11:15 PM. no reservation, hotel almost fully booked. the young gentleman who booked us in, appeared as fresh and friendly as if it was the beginning of his shift and not the end. The breakfast staff in the morning were going constantly, but everything was kept replenished and hot, and they stayed calm, cool and friendly. Hats off to them. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.
Due to the Digby/Saint John's ferry being cancelled we had a change in our hotel plans and had to make a last minute stop in Fredericton. Called the BW and was given a great last minute rate that was $50 cheaper than the online sites. When we arrived they checked us in and gave a great recommendation for pizza, read my review of Jack's. When we went to our room it was an upgraded suite with a separate bedroom and sitting area. The bed was amazing, the bathroom had a waterfall shower and the breakfast was good with two ladies making sure that the guests had what they needed but that they did not steal the hotel blind like it seems so many people do these days. Kureg coffee in the room as well.
This hotel is one of the Best Best westerns I have stayed at... This is always our place of stay when visiting Fredericton. It is conveniently located, extremely helpful staff, comfortable beds, and an excellent breakfast
Overall great experience with convenient location and great service. Breakfast was good and express check out was convenient. The location near the highway and major shopping district was a great help.
Bottom drawer of my dresser kept opening up but only when I wasn't looking. My friend stayed in 3016 and his shower started at least 5 times. I had to changed rooms because I got really spooked. . spooooooky
I really like this hotel. Great service. It's clean, the staff is very nice and excellent for the price. Great value. The beds are comfortable. Close to the mall and restaurants, nice location. The fireplace in the room was a nice addition.
We were staying for NB Provicial Hockey Torunament. Easy in, easy out. Housekeping staff were exceptional, in terms of ensuring our stay was up to our standards. Great breakfast. Great bed. Location was very convenient. Close to groceries and other provisions. highly recommend.
This is a decent hotel and well situated close to shopping and dining. The kids enjoyed the pool and the staff were friendly. The Breakfast was lacking as some of the equipment (toasters) was unavailable during my stay. Generally, a decent hotel.
We stay at the Best Western often and the service is always consistent and welcoming. Good coffee and breakfast is included with a good variety of foods offered. Beds are comfortable and rooms are clean. Staff very friendly.
Excellent service-room was clean and lots of towels. Breakfast was the best experience. No excessive noise in hall way during our entire stay. Easy convenient check in and check out with copies of confirmation plus receipt sent to my e-mail.
Excellent hotel for our team. Gave us a hospitality room and made the 2 nights and 3 days very enjoayable! Having the breakfast buffet enabled our team to get off to a quick start in the morning in advance of our games and the location of the hotel made it very easy to get to and from the city as our games were actually in Oromocto. We would definitely bring our team back to this hotel.
Stayed here for 2 nights for a business meeting and conference. The staff is always friendly and the rooms and food areas are always clean. My only gripe would be that the WiFi is a little bit slow for anything more than checking Facebook or emails, YouTube is quite slow.
Extra clean, convienent location and great inclusive breakfast!! We enjoyed the nearby groomed Cross Country ski trails at Kingswood/UNB Woodlot and Killarney Lake!! Awesome local club --Wostawea Cross Country Ski Club!!!
The hotel is very clean and comfortable with attentive staff and a very good breakfast. Time did not allow me to enjoy the facilities that seemed to be very good. The location is handy of travelers to and through the area.
We stayed in an upgraded room and it had the most comfortable bed and the shower was amazing. Nice pressure from two nozzles and temperature was excellent even with a hockey team staying in the hotel.
I stayed at the Best Western Plus Fredericton for the first time in mid-November 2016. The staff is very friendly and professional and the rooms are very comfortable with everything you need. The hotel is close to the Regent Shopping Center which is very convenient.
The lobby is very welcoming and staff very freindly. The room was nice and cozy with a king bed, leather couch and fireplace. It also had a microwave and refrigerator. The breakfast was good with lots of variety. There was a bar in the lobby, great for relaxing in.
Decent hotel. Has most of the amenities needed for a stay with kids including pool, fridge and microwave in the room and free breakfast in the morning. Decor is a tad dated but everything is still in good shape and is clean. Beds and pillows very comfortable, rooms have a deep tub if you like to take a bath rather than a shower. Space was a little tight in a double room for the 4 of us and the rooms could definitely use more plug-ins for charging phones etc. Also, you're staying for more than one night it's a bit annoying that they change the wifi password everyday. Staff here were friendly. For the price range they're in its an average hotel, if they were charging at a lower price-point would rate it a 4.
I love staying at the Best Western. The staff are friendly & very helpful. The hotel inside & out is very clean and well kept. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast service is excellent. The food is great. We were staying there the week before Halloween and they had a party in the lounge, which was nice. We had complimentary drinks, chips, veggies, dips, chicken wings. A nice touch when you're away from home.
We stay a lot a Best Westerns in our travels... But this one, - sorry, keep on driving. No food available in or near the hotel. pool the size of a hot tub. Morning breakfast to barf for,,, Too bad - nice hotel otherwise.
We stayed for a Friday night and we loved our room. it was very clean and spacious. we had a room with 2 queen beds and a couch with a chair. The room was nice and large with big windows. The buffet is off the main lobby and looks very nice, we didn't use the buffet the next morning since we slept in. The rooms are nice and dark so you can sleep in if you need to. The front desk staff are very friendly. We loved how close the Regent Mall is t the hotel and how close to the highway to get on and off. We will be staying there again our next trip to Fredericton.
This hotel is very clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating. Minimal sound disturbance from neighboring rooms and hallway unless someone was being very loud. Breakfast buffet had lots of choices and was very tasty. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows large and fluffy.
Nice clean rooms. Good breakfast with a lot of selection. Fast internet. A convenient location close to the highway and shopping. I didn't use the pool or workout equipment so I can't comment on that. Everything you need in a good hotel when travelling for work.
I am a coach of a volleyball team and basketball team, and usually use BW to book for myself and when the team needs it, I book group bookings. I find the motel is always clean and the staff is friendly. I have not had any problems.
This is a great place to stay overnight or extended stay. Rooms are new and clean, beds and extra good. Very quite, great staff, good hours for bar to be open and breakfast bar is very good, lots of variety.
This hotel just recently changed their internet. It is now too slow for me to work on work orders and frustrating with emails. It used to work very well until just recently. They are now using some city internet that you have to sign into. I was told that a phone provider offers this system as a cost effective solution for hotels ETC. Problem is that the service suffers to a point that after many years of loyalty to this hotel I have to go to either Delta or Holiday Inn Express to be able to get my work done.
Reliable Best Western to stop at on drive through town on Trans Canada. Close to everything and free Breakfast (which is so so - go early to beat the hoards). Nice room beds a bit stiff. Reception ares is traffic nightmare too any people all day long not just at breakfast no space to move and narrow corridors. Seeing 15 smokers outside the front doors within 10 feet was disappointing but may not be in the control of the Hotel - if it can changes highly recommended. Wont be back, sorry.
I stayed here 1 night while heading further north. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Had a bar down stairs which served just basic snacks. Also had a pool and hot tub which was nice after a very long drive.
This hotel never stops to amaze me. Haven't been to the BW in Fredericton for a while, but every time I go to Fredericton I stay at the BW. The employees are great and the hotel is very clean and the rooms are comfortable. Once again they added a great touch in the lounge area for the guests. To my surprise, they now serve finger foods in the lounge !! Keep up the good work !!
Stay at this hotel on the weekend of Oct. 1, 2016. We were part of a large group traveling to Mega Bucks Bingo at St. Mary's reserve. This hotel was very clean. Staff went beyond to be friendly and accommodating. The delicious breakfast buffet was great with lots of variety. Compliments to the 2 ladies who work during breakfast. Very friendly and kept things clean. Always trying to help with anything you needed. We were very satisfied and I hope we get to stay there next Bingo trip. Will certainly recommend this hotel. Thanks to everyone.
Stayed for the weekend with 100 other Shriners for a convention. The staff was wonderful. Everyone was went out of their way (above and beyond) to help with anything we needed. We've been to many hotels over the years and this was one of the best stays ever!
Shriners were in town for a convention so lucky to get a room. Our room was very clean & zero complains. Went out for dinner then cam back and did laundry great to have this option as I could throw a load in set my timer & return to do the same with the drier easy peasy. Thanks. Full breakfast was included & although busy there was plenty of everything. Good job. Front desk ladies were extremely helpful with dinner options and all our questions. Thanks
Stayed on second floor room 213. The entire place was clean and well maintained. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The location has a garage to store bikes in, for those traveling like ourselves with them. The pool and hot tub area are in good condition. Self serve breakfast offerings had good choices with plenty of area to sit down in over 2 rooms. The accommodation and breakfast package is priced fairly. I would not hesitate to return.
We have stayed at this Best Western twice while visiting Fredericton. We have found the rooms to be clean and comfortable. The pool and hot tub are nice. The complimentary breakfast is very good with lots of choices and the staff working the breakfast area run their feet off to keep the area clean and well supplied. We have found the front desk staff to be friendly and helpful. Not handy to downtown but it is walkable. It is six kilometres, mostly downhill. We measured it with a Fitbit!
Checked in early, staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful...we noticed the bar was open until midnight and commented that would be a great way to end our night after a wedding. We came back to hotel at 9:30 ready to grab a drink with our group, to be rudely told that the bar was closing and we could go elsewhere. When we questioned why, the bartender said she was closing and that is all we needed to know! Don't bet on anything extra, but hotel is clean and well maintained.
this was a nice place after being on the road for 25 days of traveling. Upon arrival the desk staff were friendly, enthusiastic and very helpful with a mixed-up bill and suggestions. Room very clean, great bed however lounge chairs were a little uncomfortable. Breakfast was better than average. Would definitely stay again, staff made the end of the travel trip nice for us.
Encountered professional and helpful staff early in the morning. Much appreciated as my delayed flight got in after 2:00 AM. Room was clean and spacious. The Best Western was conveniently located close to car rental agencies.
We have stayed here several times over last 3 years. Quite new building with walk-in showers, lovely clean comfortable rooms, large parking lot, nice indoor pool. Staff is made up of constantly changing young folks, big smile, no experience. I extended my stay twice and both times key card quit working, once Internet cut off so daughter used our Data from Ontario (bill later), never mentioned, seemed to have trouble even looking up my status. In a past visit, clerk did not believe my email for a free night, though mentioned when reserving, finally accepted it. On-site pub or food was closed on Labour Day weekend, told due to absent staff member whose car broke down in Moncton. Similar story on past visit too when pub closed. In "business centre" at far end of building, one of the computers was not working. Staff walked there with me, confirmed this and helped me use another, but did not leave a sign on it for next unlucky guest.
I normally love a good Best western Hotel but this one is dreadful! The pool and hot tub were filthy. The french door in the suite had no curtain or anything so there is no privacy between the two sleeping areas. The sofa bed was old and ratty. The bed was the worst I have ever slept on in all my years of travel! It was so old and soft it was like sleeping on a water bed. The staff were all completely disinterested and looked bored. At one point one staff member was sitting up on a desk to "rest her feet"! I understand the need to sometimes rest for a few minutes at work but do it in the back office not in front of guests propped up on a desk!
This hotel always has kind staff, the first thing that stands out is the beautiful positive messages that the housekeeping has left for you to find. Little quotes of positivity and messages to make you smile. The beds are comfortable the continental breakfast is delicious !!! When we're in Fredericton The Best Western Plus is our first choice .. You won't regret booking and you'll be back .
The hotel is luxuriously adorned with beautiful furniture and trim. The rooms are excellent and tastefully decorated with warm finishes including lots of wood. The bathroom was spacious and the shower and toiletries were very good. Very good value in class!
Good location just off the highway. Rooms were clean and breakfast was above average.I would recommend paying a little extra or asking to stay in the deluxe section of this hotel. The rain shower was great.
We've stayed here many times with our kids and dog. The staff are friendly and welcoming and always smiling and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and always well made up and the staff takes the time to make the towels pretty and write a welcome note! They have added a small snack store near the front desk and have a great selection of movies to watch for free. The breakfast that is included is really wonderful and offers so much from eggs, sausage, cooked oatmeal (not just the packets), baked beans, waffles as well as toast, cereal, yogurt and fruit. Although it is perhaps slightly more expensive than it should be, the staff and great breakfast and consistent good experience make up for it. I do wish they would consider a pet fee per stay rather than per night but it is great that they are pet friendly!
Stayed here for one night and it was a late arrival but was pleased with the lobby appearance and had a great check in with Annie. Got to our room...very nicely done! Hallways are in good shape as well. Beds are comfy, great choice of the bedding style and color, room color gives a very "warm" feeling to it. The ac in our room was a little noisy when it started up but otherwise fine. Large spacious room and bathroom. Lots of counter and plug space in the bathroom as well. Room had a mini fridge in it as well. Breakfast was included. Nice eating area. Offered numerous choices for breakfast from muffins, waffles, oatmeal, toast/bagels, hard boiled eggs, sausages, plain egg omelet. Then your cold cereals, coffee, juices, yogurt etc. Hard not to find something to eat! Lots of channel choices on the tv. Wifi available as well but got booted off several times and had to keep logging back in. Would definitely stay there again!
This hotel is comparable to a Hampton Inn. The decor was modern and clean and the breakfast selection and service was phenomenal. Very impressed with the standards for this particular location. Nice and close to the shopping mall, which is great when you are traveling with girls!
Pleasant place with nice staff. Decent breakfast selection. It strikes one little rustic with the dark colors and heavy wood accents. It's not within walking distance of anything so you will have to drive for everything. A little pricey but overall a balanced value for the area.
Good location, at the right distance not too far not so close to the town. Rooms are comfortable and well kept. Breakfast is not exceptional, but sufficiently varied for a good start of the day. We were not well impressed with a bad smell all around the lobby area and in the lift. It gave the idea that cleanliness could improve.
Was not expecting to find a Best Western here! Sister and I were just travelling with no set itinerary. The Best Western staff in Moncton helped us find our destination for the next day....an interesting way to travel! Thanks...
very nice nd comfortable rooms . beds are comfortable . close to shoppung and restaurants . the people at the front desk are very nice and helpful . they have everything you need in the room . it a very clean hotel .
The hotel overall and stay inside the room itself were clean and comfortable for a fair price. Breakfast was hot/cold and the average fair. Staff were friendly and check in was easy. Close to amenities and easy highway access. We spent 4 nights in the suite with a pullout. We found the room was tight with the couch pulled out but managed fine given we had the extra bed. This hotel is a tour bus stop. I wish I had realized before I booked and I likely would not book here again because of this. The hotel or staff are not the issue at all. The first few days were just tolerable, the last day was ridiculous and I just went without food. The hallway noise at 6:00 to 7:00 am was massive as half of the hotel went for breakfast and congregating at the elevators and lobby. The manners of the tour bus guests was atrocious in the breakfast room. The tour guests were also not familiar with how the food line and dispensers worked which added to the chaos. Then the luggage piled up all throughout the lobby and in the breakfast room ... I could see even the staff were getting pretty frustrated with the guests but were keeping a polite and professional demeanor about it. If you are continuing with tour buses you need to get organized and provided separate luggage areas or pickup from outside the guest room door. Possibly a separate breakfast room with an easier menu premade to accommodate the 50+ guests all rushing to eat breakfast at the same time.
I really enjoy staying at this hotel. It is a beautiful property both inside and out. I would highly recommend getting a room with the rainfall shower; it's the most amazing thing ever. When I am in the Fredericton area I always stay at this hotel. Also you get great value for your money.
This was my second time staying at the Best Western in Fredricton. My first time was in the newer section and I couldn't get over how beautiful the room was and especially the shower! This most recent time I ended up in an accessible room right next to the front desk. It was nice but not the same as my first stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was awesome! Lots to choose from. Location is great also, close to shopping and right off the highway.
I helped to book reservations for several members of my family for a reunion at this hotel and found the staff to be exceptionally helpful. They were very accommodating with special requests and allowed us to use their facilities for a photo shoot when the weather turned sour. They also helped with arrangements for an impromptu take-out dinner. They held belongings which were left behind for pick-up by a family member. Overall they made my family feel at home during their stay.
We selected this hotel as a last minute stopover during a 14 hour drive and were not disappointed. The extremely kind and helpful staff were excellent and even got us started with Best Western's loyalty program. Not only was the room a great price but the beds were extremely comfortable, breakfast was delicious, the shower was nice, and the movies are free! Also found out that the hotel was pet friendly when a beautiful gold retriever stepped into the elevator with me, making my day. Definitely will be staying again should we ever find ourselves in Fredericton.
The service was amazing right from the start. Our room exceeded my expectations. One of the nicest we have stayed in. The price was great. It was so clean and tidy which is critical for me. I cant say any more except amazing
This is probably the best BW I've ever stayed at. The hotel is clean and modern with lots of amenities. From desk staff were very pleasant and helpful. I loved that they had a lounge with happy hour. We were travelling with our dog (they are pet friendly) and there is a lovely little patio outside the lounge where we were able to sit with the dog and have drinks. Rooms are large and nicely decorated. I liked the larger than usual fridge. Nice sitting area and fireplace. The bathroom is also a good size and the makeup remover pads were appreciated, as were the extra towels! Beautiful hotel and I would definitely stay here again. The only downside to it....there isn't anywhere within walking distance to eat (other than Subway). But we ordered pizza to the patio and that worked quite well.
We were welcomed by a great staff despite the busyness of the time of day. Our room was clean and had the correct amount of towels for the number of guests. Breakfast was hot and had a variety of choices.
Enjoyed every minute of my stay! The staff were friendly and went out of their way to accommodate me. Very clean and breakfast was delicious! !! I will am looking forward to my next stay. Clean rooms, exceptional & friendly staff!! Very helpful! Clean pool! Comfortable beds! Best sleep
This was SUCH a great hotel experience. We arrived just as a coachload of tourists were pouring into the lobby. My heart sank as we anticipated a huge long wait, but hotel admin were so well-organized they checked these 60 people in as one group, and our little family within 30 seconds of walking into the lobby. We were assigned Room #200. The room and hallways were so quiet - just terrific after a long day of travel. Loved the plush, dense carpet - completely swallows any hallway noise and our room was so quiet day and night, you could hear a pin drop. Very nice room - large bar fridge, absolutely spotless, modern and upscale furniture and decor... terrific water pressure. Lots of little extras (beautifully folded towels, an inspirational message written on a pad of paper from house-keeping (!), microwave, large flatscreen TV, in-room Keurig... the room was so breezy and modern. Loved it. The hot breakfast included in the room fee was delicious and appreciated.
As per usual, another great nights stay at a Best Western Hotel. got a good rate for a quick overnighter on my way back home from PEI. clean, quiet and comfy bed and pillows. Breakfast was ok, coffee was good..they have a bar available for guests although it is a very simple bar. basically the breakfast room is converted into a bar area at night. but still good enough for a nightcap before bed.
Tired of full hotels on a long Aug 1 weekend, this was available, elegantly presented, comfy bed, new upscale, nice smelling room and standard breakfast. Desk helpful with map to restaurants. Worth a stop.
A beautiful new hotel within 10 minutes drive to downtown. Rooms are ample and very clean. Staff is courteous. though it says that you have to pay for parking when you book the hotel, it is not true. Parking is free. Also it is close to the shopping mall.
The rooms at this hotel were clean and comfortable, they even had a sound machine to help you sleep. The breakfast here was one of the best we had on our 5 week trip, everything was well stocked. The pool was very clean and well maintained. The staff went out of their way to make our stay a great one!! There are a selection of restaurants steps away which was wonderful.
The hotel is easily accessible from the highway, very clean and has a full hot buffet breakfast included in the price of the hotel. Take advantage of your CAA or AAA discount, it makes your stay very affordable. the one downside was the organization of the breakfast buffet, it created a long lineup to get to the hot food. They should investigate other hotels to better organize this.
We are in Fredericton once a year and thought it would be great to stay at a hotel accessible to the roundabout. When we arrived there was a very inappropriate man degrading the front desk staff over a lost shirt. This delayed the checkin process a fair bit and was upsetting to a lobby full of people. Once checked in, it took a very long time to get an elevator up to our floor (there is only one very slow elevator for a very large hotel...disappointing). The front desk staff were courteous and always very helpful. Coffee was seldom available in the lobby as advertised. The room itself was well decorated and clean when we arrived. Unfortunately, we didn't realize the staff had the fridge turned up to as cold as it could go so we had to toss out $65 worth of fresh food after it froze. (every other hotel we've stayed in has had their fridge temperature set to normal settings/we've never had any reason to think we'd need to check it to make sure it was set any other way). The beds were fair as far as comfort goes but we slept poorly due to very loud air conditioning. This was surprising for such a new hotel. Room cleaning after our first night was only fair (a wet facecloth was left behind the bathroom door, a dirty cup was left in the room, and the ice bucket wasn't emptied so we came back to a water covered desk. Any other hotel we have ever stayed in has emptied the ice bucket with room cleaning so we just assumed this was standard for all hotels (wrong). Internet ranged from 1-2 bars which was fine for our purpose but I'm not so sure it would have been suitable for a business trip. The breakfast room lady was pleasant but obviously couldnt' keep up with the crowds (the crock for eggs and beans were both empty when we went down Sunday morning, and the food areas were messy). Overall, all of these little things that weren't up to par with competitor hotels left a sour taste in our mouth. The biggest disappointment was having to throw out quality food. For a hotel of this calibre and cost, we were very very disappointed. It's unlikely we'll stay here again
Really enjoyed our time here. The breakfast was the best I've ever had at a hotel (not that I have a lot of experience) but it was tasty and there were lots of options. We would definitely come back here again.
My daughter and 3 granddaughters and I stayed here overnight on a road trip from Ontario to Cape Breton. The Queen beds were extremely cozy and the pull out sofa was comfy too. Breakfast had a lot of variety. We enjoyed our overnight stay very much. Will return for sure!
This was the third time we stayed here for the night on our way from Montreal to Halifax. Also this time the stay was totally hassle free, room was clean and bed very comfortable. The room is also pretty quite so you'll get your well deserved rest after driving for hours. The hot breakfast ist by far the best we have experienced after years of staying with different chains when driving in North America. Same food basically, but it is the the friendly staff that keep everything clean and fresh that make the difference. Best Western is not the cheapest alternate but it is a safe card. Enjoy!
My husband and I were in Fredericton for a 4 day convention over the Canada Day weekend. We found the staff of the hotel to be very friendly and welcoming and they helped us out with maps and information about detours due to construction. Our room was lovely, and clean and comfortable. We didn't require any housekeeping until the third day, at which point the housekeeper was very sweet and provided us with everything we needed/wanted. Big highlight for us was the free buffet breakfast every morning. It was kept clean and stocked very efficiently by a single person, which impressed me, as there were busloads of people (literally) every day. Even with the hotel being full with bus-tours and convention attendees, the hotel was never noisy. It's very close to the highway, but we heard nothing at all. The wifi in the building was reliable, and we enjoyed pool and hot tub. Overall, a great stay and we would definitely stay again.
I have stayed at this hotel three times (to date), and I will continue to stay there when I am in Fredericton. The location is a bit challenging to access if one is unfamiliar with the city, but it is not hard to get to the Regent Mall or Downtown.
This was an overnight stop on the way to PEI. The room was clean and comfortable and was fine for our family of five. The kids enjoyed the pool. And the fitness facility was small but adequate. We would be happy to stop off there again during a road trip.
Our room is very clean and the hot breakfast was kept clean and was really tasty. Even though busy the staff was cheerful and helpful for us with a baby in tow. I thought above and beyond. The eldest ans hubby enjoyed the pool. We had room to set up a playpen so that was good. The beds were quite comfortable. Only losing a star because... no tub? I thought that was standard but I guess not. I like to bath my kids nightly. Also not sure what the heck it was but something was banging far off and it was loud enough that it botbered us trying to gwt the kids to sleep and then ourselves. We were in room 4016. Couldnt tell if it was a door or what... but so annoying. Also... the heating vent blows the curtains out which effectively reduces the blackout effect. We were originally put on the highway side... it was too noisy. Ask for the other side of the building. Still a busy road on the quiet side... but not as loud.
I stayed here overnight on my way from Ontario to PEI. It's just off the highway which was very convenient. Check-in with Caitlin was the best check-in I've ever had at a big chain hotel. The room was clean and quiet. I enjoyed a nice swim before leaving in the morning, and the included breakfast was quite nice: fruit, juices, cereal, yogurt, sausages, beans, oatmeal, and waffles.
Stayed one night while on a road trip. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. It was a little noisey while walking the dog outside because it backs onto the highway but I would say it was good value for the money and I would stay there again.
A comfortable and clean room, very welcoming staff, and the bonus of a bar that let us take our beers up to our room. My husband and I were traveling with our two dogs, and the kind desk clerk/dog lover asked us to be sure to bring them by so she could meet them. The location was a bit tricky to find, but we could see the sign from afar. I had stayed once before and I'm sure I'll be back!
I've stayed at this Best Western on a number of occasions in the past. Each and every time, I'm greeted with friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms, and amenities that meet my needs (i.e. internet service, free parking). The included buffet breakfast is not a culinary delight, but provides more then adequate hot and cold options to get the day started. Great place to stay for both the business or pleasure traveler.
Staff friendly, efficient and helpful. They all seemed upbeat. Every attention was given to detail. Excellent breakfast and the breakfast room was maintained in spotless condition. This is a first class hotel by any standard.
No matter how many times I book at this hotel they always seem to find a way to exceed my expectations. They are quick to answer any request and their friendliness is over the top. We can really tell, they have customer service as their main focus. New staff is obviously trained with that in mind. Good job!
A high price, not worth it. A room 3 doors down had screaming teens all night. Front desk was advised - didn't help. I won't be staying again. Front desk said they would provide a refund -- never did.
Very friendly staff offered us the Bar wine bottle cork remover and a couple of wine glasses from the bar, that was closed due to personnel issues. The front desk staff ordered us a taxi and even confirmed our choice for dinner as a local favourite. Overall would stay again,
For our wedding we had reserved 6 rooms for our guests coming and going on various days. Hotel management and staff made this a breeze and everything went smoothly. Guests were beyond impressed with the customer service, rooms, pool area and the breakfast. Everybody had only positive things to say.
The Hotel has very friendly and helpful staff and is located well near the center of the city.Has a vast parking lot and is in a quiet location. The Breakfast is very good and starts at 6 am in the morning and they have a bar that opens at 5 PM at night.
nice hotel, friendly staff , but over priced. good location. nice room , comfy beds. breakfast was just ok.. although we didn't use it pool area looked to clean and spacious but you can probably get just as nice for less money.
After a long flight I was hoping for a hot shower before bed. I was disappointed to see there was no hot water! Called the front desk, they said that they were aware of the problem, and there is nothing they can do until the technician comes in next morning at 7AM. I understand things break, so I went to bed. Next morning (6AM), I tried my luck again, and was surprised to get hot water. When I asked the front desk, the manager said that all he did was to reset the heater in the morning!!! I understand – and accept – the explanation of a broken heater, but not having the knowledge or initiative to reset a boiler is unacceptable from your night-time manager. VERY poor service, not up to your standards.
Hotel is nice and beds are very comfortable, my wife slept well all weekend long! Breakfast was delicious and the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. If I could stay at the Best Western Plus every night, I would!
This hotel was pretty standard. We had a suite as we were travelling with family. Our nephew said the pull out bed was good. Our bedroom was comfy. Used pool but not hot tub. Breakfast was fine in the morning.
The hotel was nice and new. It is a typical best western experience and the breakfast bar was more than adequate even for someone like me who has very challenging eating restrictions. My main issue is that while this is a newer location, it is very awkward to get to because of how traffic is routed through that part of town. Also, the hotel has gotten rid of the white duvet style bed coverings and went back to busy dark decor (probably needs less washing to look clean?). It's supposed to be better design but to me, i really feel that a quality hotel provides white linens. So, just that alone dropped my rating down a point. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was exceptionally clean. Every time I'm in Fredericton I'm awake and tossing and turning until 12 because there are always loudmouths who seem to want to tailgate in the parking lot with a box of tim hortons donuts and a hundred friends. It takes everything I can do no to scream out the window at them.
Typical Best Western style, although the room was a little crammed, it was clean, nice and quiet, convenient to the highway, airport and business district. Had to go to the Delta for dinner. Staff were friendly and efficient.
My husband and I spent a week at the Best Western plus. We found the rooms to be average in size and amenities. The rooms were kept clean and well stocked. What we found most exceptional about the Best Western Plus was the level of excellent customer service. The staff were all helpful and accommodating to every request we made. They were friendly and welcoming. We look forward to returning.
I was at the Best Western Plus last weekend and this was our second visit since last year and I found that it offered all the comfort expected from a quality hotel. Clean and comfortable rooms, good service and excellent free breakfast with lots of seating to accommodate plenty of people. It is located a bit out of the way but still close enough to most shopping and restaurants but a bit farther from downtown which was OK with us. All around great hotel. We will definitely return.
When upon my arrival , the staff were above and beyond. Great staff ! i had mu fur baby (lab ) gemi with us and the staff greeted Gem like she was the child of the family . The only issue was , I had to pay money for my stay , and well Gemi she got treats and a bag for when she was outside. I didnt get no little treat bag . haha! Great room ! Awe the bed , was so comfy , the shower to die for. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful and so neat and tidy. Thank you Best Western for your hospitality . I will be staying again , on my trip back to Fredericton.
Best Western Fredericton is the best place to stay in Fredericton. Very convenientely located, this an excellent and well maintained facility. Rooms are spacious and the bed very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and polite. I have stayed at this location for several years on a regular basis and was never dissapointed and always enjoyed my stays.
From our arrival to our departure ... all employees from the front desk to the breakfast room ... everyone was very welcoming and so helpful with directions and restaurant suggestions. The hotel is clean, the beds are very comfortable. We stayed in the new part of the hotel and requested the same room for our return to Fredericton.
I stayed at Best Western Fredricton for 3 days for a conferance . Upon arrival I was treated very well with friendly staff at the front desk with speedy check in . The room I had was a king bed executive suite with a fire place . The room was quiet and the bed was extreamly comfortable . It had a nice Coach that i could sit on and watch TV at night instead of sitting on the bed . only complaint was the TV remote did not work very well but if I want to I could have got a new one down stairs if I had to .
I have stayed at this motel often when in Fredericton for business. It is well located, especially with the new round-a-bout connecting Bishop drive to Smythe street. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is adequate and the rooms comfortable.
Stayed here two nights Mon & Tues. All staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious. Bed was really comfortable and for me that's the best thing. Breakfast was good - lots of selection and a good seating area.
First and foremost, this hotel is good value for money. The staff were all excellent, very courteous and professional - to include the reception/check in as well as in the breakfast room. The rooms were well-appointed, clean, modern and comfortable. The bed was excellent and I had a better sleep here than at other, more expensive hotels. Wifi connection worked well. The breakfast was good - although you may wish to try to avoid the peak times. While the staff were wonderful, the same can't be said for some of the greedy and rude guests - but that is hardly the hotel's fault. If you don't need to stay in downtown Frederiction, this hotel is an excellent option. There is plenty of free parking...always a plus!
Stayed at this hotel on many occasions, business and family. Extremely clean, well maintained and very nice. Staff is always bilingual and always give the best service. Price is also good, nice pool and gym. Great hot continental breakfast. Bed and pillows very comfy. Quality hotel, very well built with sound proof rooms. Will definitely return!
I was in Fredericton last summer for a funeral. Sad event, but what made the whole experience bearable was the wonderful staff and hotel amenities at this Best Western. Maybe it's the Maritimes, but there was a real warmth and charm to our stay, including the reception. It made this family gathering a very special event.
Very pleased with the service at this hotel. It is usually the place we stop at when we need to sleep over in Fredericton. The rooms are spacious, clean and a convenient place to sleep for the night. Great breakfast as well!
We booked our room in advance, but our trip was impacted by how busy the hotel was. Check-in seemed frantic as the employee was not prepared for the large crowd. The lounge was not open during this weekend, which was quite disappointing since it is advertised throughout the hotel and in the rooms. Hotel was nice enough, aside from the dead bugs in our window and the dirty pool.
My #1 choice in Fredericton. The location is great, it's easy to access. The rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Also booked a meeting room and it was a great room with a lot of natural light. Again the price was really fair and our group wasn't disappointed. Will be using their services again.
I read the Tripadvisor comments before I arrived on March 18, 2016. The theme was common, the hotel was not doing a good enough job controlling children screaming and roaring in the hallways and controlling the elevator access. That is STILL a problem during this visit. Parent should be told that their children can not run freely in the hallways, banging on every door along the hall as they go. I have been a Tripadvisor contributor for a very long time and this hands down is my worse experience at a hotel or at least it was until Pier at the front desk took action and moved me from Room 407 to Room 1018, once I had enough and complained to him at the front desk. Although kids were still going up and down on the elevator, it was much quieter than the 4th floor. I get that the Best Western has to make money but it should not be at the expense of other paying guest that have to put up with this nonsense. Other hotels that I have stayed at had kids as guest but in this case it is poorly managed. I blame the parents for this but ultimately the hotel is responsible for the guest experience and in my opinion, Best Western Fredericton is failing to do so. On a positive note, staff are awesome. Pier saved the day because this review would have been much worse had I been kept up all night with kids banging on my hotel room door. There needs to be controls put in place so that parents are aware of what is expected when they come here. I would think the front desk is a good place to do that when they check in. This is a good hotel but I fear if they do not get the kids under control here, it will be a tough sell for future guest. I would be very hesitate to return even with the room change. Breakfast was good. Breakfast area was not too busy at 6:30am, so there has been small improvements from previous reviews. Staff are great. Breakfast is good and finally this hotel has to work on controlling the kids that are guest here, or people will not stay here. Plain and simple. There is no excuse for kids to be in the elevator ALONE riding up and down holding other guest up. There is no excuse for kids running in the hallways knocking on hotel room doors bothering other guest. The responsibility falls on the Management of this hotel, and it is my sincere hope they fix this before it is too late to save their future business.
This is an excellent hotel. I have stayed at this one and the one in grand falls many times and is owned and operated by the same owner On this occasion I feel the hotel struggled as it was full to capacity and was hosting a hockey team which made it rowdier than usual. The kids were holding up and playing in the elevator with no consequence and the morning breakfast was simply a nightmare. The poor staff tried to help people along but it just was not happening. People were hoarding tables and even the conference area was full when we went. I truly love this hotel and would stay here anytime but when it will be full to capacity I won't. The staff just can't handle this amount of people. Hopefully next time I return this issue will be resolved. I will certainly be asking if a hockey team is present and more importantly if they are equipe to handle a full to capacity hotel.
The only bright spot is the cleaning staff...very friendly and very clean. I left them a tip at the front desk. Front desk staff seemed unable (for some reason) to adequately address the running in the halls and loud noise issues for those of us needing sleep. We were moved from 214 to 2040 to reduce the noise. We assumed the "business" section was for business people but there were plenty of noisy kids and dogs there too. Business should be for business only. Do not mix parents with children and business guests...period.
I thought the hotel was great. It was very clean, inviting and the staff was very friendly. I had my 3 grandchildren with me (4, 5 and 9 yrs Old) the pool was clean and small enough for the kids. The only thing was there was a hockey Tourament going on and the other kids were jumping off the sides and nearly landed on the younger ones. The issue being that the parents should have been more respectful of the other guest trying to enjoy the pool area. I know the pool is video so the staff should have came in.
We were three adults ( husband, mother and myself) that were in the city just for one night. I'm normally very picky when it comes to hotels and always do much research before making a choice. The hotel looked clean and offered a free breakfast, hot tub, bar and swimming pool. Seemed to fit the bill. When we arrived we realized we forgot our swimsuit so we headed out to purchase a couple. When we arrived back at the hotel we noticed there were suddenly kids everywhere. .apparently there was a sports tournament going on, which is fine however it would have been nice to be advised before booking as we probably would have chosen a different hotel. I have kids so I am not anti-children...however the pool and hot tub were so crowded that we couldn't even think about getting in ( waste of money for the bathing suits) , the elevator was constantly held up which made it quicker to take the stairs, there was running up and down the halls until well after 12 pm. We went to the "bar" which was actually just liquor being served in what is used for the breakfast room. I ordered a tom Collins, which was on the menu but returned it because it was terrible. The bar tender admitted he didn't know how to make it and was happy to replace it with a beer. Not a big deal but just seemed to be one more plan that fell through. We went down the next morning for breakfast but there were so many kids in the breakfast room we decided to wait a bit, returned an hour later, new group but still to many kids to even think about getting a seat so the " free" breakfast ended up costing us 45.00 at a nearby restaurant. We mentioned to the person at the desk that it would have been nice to know that there was a tournament staying there and he said " we don't feel it is important because it is common in the winter " well note to self the next time we are in fredericton we will ask, however it won't be at this hotel !
This Fredericton Bestwestern Plus is always a great place to stay and the staff always very pleasant. The quality of the rooms is well above average and the consistency in the overall quality of my stays make it the only hotel I consider when going to Fredericton. I have never encountered any problems with any of my stays at this hotel and it lives up to the high standards associated with the Bestwestern chain.
I recently stayed at the Best Western in Fredericton during a business trip, my family came with me. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The room was quiet. The continental breakfast had a lot of variety and the food was good. The pool was in good shape and was clean, but it was a little cold.
rooms were very clean, windows open for fresh air ( a wonderful feature) the heating cooling was very responsive and adjustable, a full hot breakfast, reliable wi-fi, beds were extremely comfortable in a spacious room, easy and large parking lot, great hotel
Staff is great, room is clean and quiet and bed is very comfortable.nsod8chai9hivhsfvh9zdfrh098aeruv0ar8vhvh0swcjqdxiouesch9adrh0bvst0bhj0ab0i9bvja-0ee-09vj0aer0vrj0r0vh0swech0shchCHAhc0cj_)cv-vksw0vk=v\\\\vrk-\\0vj 0pj sd0cvj \\-c\\d-c-svk-k-vkkv=[v-fv
Very clean. Staff are great. Always housekeepers around-very helpful. Breakfast is awesome! Great location..has a pool and hot tub. Much better then saint john or moncton location. The only thing it could use is some modern touches. It's beautiful if you like the red and gold look. Other then that I wouldn't stay anywhere else in the fredericton area.
The family (6 of us) had to plan for a long term stay 3 - 4 weeks and best choice we could make. Clean rooms, excellent service, great breakfast. They made us feel at home. I would definitely stay again at this property or chain.
I have made Best Western Plus my new home away from home. Always clean and great service. Beds are the most comfortable of all places I have stayed. Great bathroom and internet service as well. Fast check outs. Very happy I tried out the hotel and will book all my business and pleasure trips with this establishment.
only thing the hot tub was dirty, the breakfast was amazing.the room very clean and smell good. close to the mall.the staff are amazing spoke french and english its a plus.the next trip we take to fredericton that will be our first stop.
Rather newer hotel on South side of Fredericton with easy access to city and surrounding area, as well as shopping and restaurants. Relatively good value for your money. Clean. Complimentary Breakfast. WiFi and Internet.
On the plus side, customer service was extremely satisfying. Staff was pleasant, polite and helpful. On the downside, the rooms on the 1st floor were small and cramped. The beds weren't comfortable at all. And a minor detail for safety concern is that the phone in the pool room which was for emergency and room calls, didn't work at all. Over all, excellent job for the staff, but the ball seems to have been dropped by management.
This hotel is a A+ on all aspect, the staffs are friendly, the rooms are clean and nice, and they include HOT breakfast in the price, wich is nice. there is a nice pool, and a bar. This hotel is the best bang for the buck in my opinion, you can find cheaper but, you'll have cheaper, like having cereal and muffin for breakfast instead of hot eggs, sausages waffles or beans
Always a great experience at Best Western Hotels and it is always my choice before any other. I always appreciate the helpful staff and the cleanliness of the rooms and especially the bathrooms. The location is central to the shopping district and movie theater.
This is an excellent hotel to stay at in Fredericton, NB. Nice decor, very clean & well appointed rooms. Staff were very helpful. Reasonably priced for what you get. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
We stayed here 5 nights on our house hunting trip. The Best Western is a great functional hotel, little away from the buzz but room comes with free Wifi, mini fridge and microwave. Friendly service and complimentary decent breakfast makes me want to come back!
This is our second time here. The staff is awesome!!! Came down for a soccer tournament. With games schedule all day Sat and Sun, they we're very nice to give us a late checkout on Sunday so we didn't have to leave the room early morning. Rooms are very clean, bed super comfortable and nice breakfast. Staff we're all bilingual :-) I strongly recommend this hotel for families!
Stayed one night while traveling to Halifax. The hotel is situated conveniently close to the highway & an easy direct drive to the city centre. The beds are great & the room was clean and large. The breakfast was quite satisfying also. Plenty of parking. A shopping centre is just down the road also.
I stay at this hotel every time I am in Fredericton for either business or pleasure. The hotel consistently provides excellent and superior accommodations and amenities. The rooms are spacious, ultra clean and well designed.
This is the best in class in customer service. You can really feel the staffs commitment in ensuring your stay is the best. No matter how many times you go, its consistent.. And they even remembered my name... Love it! Good job!
I'm telling you, this place 'takes'care' of you. Upon check-in,a Friday evening on the 20th of November 2015, the young lady was very professional with the slight influx of check-in's. Once we were in the room assigned, beautiful and clear,my allergies took hold. Eyes draining, coughing and blowing my nose. Turns out, the 1st floor they also allow as 'animal friendly' travelers. I asked if there's any room they 'don't ' allow people with pets, as this was already obvious I would be having a rough stay if not. The young lady quickly set us up with another room, asked us questions and took it seriously. No additional charge. I will say, she went above and beyond with what we were given for a room.Nice electric fireplace, dual shower heads, very comfortable king sized bed, quiet . Best of all, my allergies cleared up. I wish I could remember her name, I hope the review will help pinpoint which employee it was, that she be given some sort of commendation for her professionalism to keep in her record for her career as one who strives for excellence. Thank you for making my stay comfortable, pleasing and returnable. It was much needed get-away from my crowded homefront of noise and lack of privacy.
The hotel was nice overall. I would go back for sure. It's a little outside the downtown core but close to shopping. The staff was great. The lounge had a good selection of drinks. Only thing missing was food options. You'll have to leave the hotel for lunch or supper but breakfast was great.
I frequently need to stay in Fredericton and the Best Western Plus is my go to hotel! Very nice rooms and warm welcome from the staff! I would recommend this hotel for everyone passing by Fredericton!
I had a very comfortable stay here, a couple of times. The fourth floor rooms are spacious with fridge and microwave. Bed was very cozy. Staff was great. Breakfast was good. Check in and out was easy. Rooms are well soundproofed. That was the good. If you don't need technology on your travels, stop reading. But if you need decent internet and television, this hotel may not be for you. First, they use satellite dish television (a dinosaur in the hotel industry). That means that if it is raining hard and you're stuck in your room, you will be watching nothing. That's what happened to me. I missed cable, it simply works. As for the internet, I'll just echo what other reviewers said, the Internet service is slow, oh so slow. In this day and age, a decent hotel with clearly a lot of business travelers has to have good internet, by hotel standards. And the Best Western fails here. I can only assume that the ownership is trying to save money with dish TV service and inferior Internet. If they improve those two items, this hotel will be as good as other hotels in the area. But next time I'm in the area on business, I'll give a try to the new hotel down the street. Sorry Best Western, I love your chain, just not this hotel for the above reasons.
This hotel may be the finest in Fredericton with the staff friendliness and quiet, clean rooms. Staff are friendly and polite and the breakfast ranks the same as other hotels offering a continental breakfast. The only place that I will stay when travelling to Fredericton on business.
I stayed here for two nights with my fiancé during our trip across Quebec and New Brunswick. We had a king suite, which featured small but comfortable rooms – one small bedroom with a king sized bed, and an adequate sitting room (with a fridge and microwave). Overall, the property seems new and well appointed. The staff were friendly, and the service quite good. Free breakfast with the usual hotel type fare was available from 6-10 AM. It would have been nice to use real cups and bowls rather than Styrofoam and paper. There is a saltwater swimming pool, but that area has a strong smell of chlorine that drifts up to the second floor (for those of you with sensitivities to strong chemical smells). Since this was days 5-6 of a 10 day trip, we used the laundry facilities, which were clean, inexpensive, and efficient. The cleaning staff, by the way, were often out and about on our floor, and very friendly. We were our satisfied with our stay and would definitely return to this hotel.
Would highly recommend. Excellent service! Staff was very friendly, and helpful. Rooms were clean, comfortable bed, etc. Nice pool area and kitchenette/lounge. Close to mall and restaurant. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.
Comfortable beds, very clean and hot breakfast. Courteous staff. Two thumbs up!! Would definately go again. Very close to shopping malls and close to nice restaurants. Highly recommend.Breakfast could use an upgrade boiled eggs werent the best and scrambled eggs not cooked enough for my liking. Great coffee
This hotel is very well situated close to the highway and in proximity of several restaurants by car. The bar area is also nice to sit down and have a quick beer. The rooms are spacious and well organized. Best Western Plus is synonym of excellence and offer great places to stay whether travelling for business or pleasure. By far the best hotel chain in this category.
Very clean, modern amenities. Helpful and courteous staff! We loved our stay! The breakfast was really good with healthy choices. The location was near the shopping malls . We would definitely use this hotel again when we are in the Fredericton Area.
The Best Western Plus Fredericton is a pleasant, pet-friendly hotel with interesting decor and very friendly staff. We stayed here for 1 night on our way home from a US shopping trip and had an excellent stay. Although the room itself was rather small, the beds were comfortable, the sheets were nice and the hotel was clean. The hotel staff was very accommodating and I was pleased that they allowed pets. Although I do not remember the exact charge for having a dog there, it was reasonable. I would highly recommend this hotel for your business or personal needs!
From the first impression to the last, it felt good. I took my niece and nephew with me and they also thoroughly enjoyed their stay. I think the ambiance was in part due to the warm nature of the employees and although I forgot to get names, the young lady at check out, the two ladies at breakfast, and the gentlemen bar-tending earlier who guided us correctly. Professional but not stiff, it felt natural.
I was wary of staying at a Best Western but upon arrival when I was greeted with a very friendly hello and when I saw my room I was very pleasantly surprised. I had a king mini suite that was clean and very comfortable. Because the bedroom area is at the back of the suite I didn't hear a peep for the three nights I was there. I thought I would be up all night as there was a team of some sort staying there but even in the living area of the room it was fairly quiet. Room is nicely appointed and the shampoo, lotion and soap is great quality. There is a Keirig in the room with both paper and ceramic cups. Bed was very comfortable and there were lots of pillows which I love. The room was very clean. Even the carpet was clean which is rare in hotels. I will be recommending this hotel to anyone I know who is staying in Fredericton. Staff was friendly as well, always a hello when you passed them.
This was my second time at this hotel. Both times I was on 3rd floor in their new section. It was very confortable, very very clean, large washroom with walk in shower. If you are a bath person or need a bath for younger children, be sure to sure to indicate this when you book your room. If you forget someting at home, they have that covered as well. Nice complimentary breakfast as well. They make sure that it is always full and never run out. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Very satisfied!!! Helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful decor and extremely clean. Good breakfast and great location from the city. Thank you for the excellent service we will be sure to come again because of the positive experience we had...
By far the best BW hotel I've ever stayed at. Reasonable rate for the very spacious and lovely rooms. Beds were very comfortable, linens were fluffy and clean, rainhead shower in bathroom, huge breakfast selection and extremely friendly staff. I highly recommend this hotel. Close to grocery, restaurants and 5 mins to downtown without downtown prices. A pleasant stay for weary travellers.
Stayed here one night with the family while on business. The staff were very friendly. I asked for late checkout and they accommodated at no charge. The pool was nice and gave the family something to do while I was out, but the hot tub was a little cool. The full breakfast was excellent. It's not really walking distance to anything, but is only a couple minutes drive to the mall. The price was reasonable. The rooms were very clean, and bathrooms were excellent. Sure the lobby was small, but who hangs out in a lobby? Overall we had no complaints, will return! Oh just one complaint, the Internet speed was crap, and I even lost the signal a few times before giving up - thus 4 stars, otherwise would have been 5.
First time staying at the BW F'ton. Very family oriented; clean; great pool; amazing continental breakfast (loved the DIY waffle bar); quiet. Am now a BW Rewards member and will be staying at other BW's in future as our preferred!
We stayed here on a family vacation. My son and I made use of the pool which is a nice addition but a little in the small side. The room ans beds were very comfortable. My only complaint was that the lobby is very small. A bus tour arrived just after we checked in and trying to get out the front entrance was a challenge.
All my stays here are great. Friendly staff at the front desk. Rooms are always very clean. I don't have to worry, every time is a delight. Good acess to shopping and restaurants a short walk or drive to all amenities. lots of parking.
I'm one of 'those' hotel customers who likes things clean and quiet with a comfortable bed. The comforter/quilt/duvet on the bed in room #113 is really heavy. It made it difficult at times, to get comfortable but that's the only criticism I have for this location and this hotel. Stay here....you won't be dissatisfied.
I planned a trip to Fredericton on short notice and needed a hotel where I could stay along with a friend. I chose a suite so that we'd each have a room. The Hotel is a bit south of the city in what I consider "strip mall hell" but is easy enough to get to. As we were in a suite we were directed the "luxury tower" which is kind of laughable as I think it is only three or four stories. The hallways and rooms are bit over the top in brocade and heavy furnishings. The suite we had was very clean and modern and well equipped (i.e. two TV's, a fridge etc.) The only thing I didn't like was that the sink was off the living room rather than the bedroom or as part of the bathroom, which doesn't feel to private. The living room was a bit noisy as it was near a door in the corridor but it quieted down fairly early so my buddy had no trouble sleeping. My room was quiet also. The breakfast was more extensive than I expected and they had gluten free break which my friend appreciated. Checking in and out was easy. I had prepaid the room to get a good rate, so that may have been a factor.
Best Western Plus is a great chain which always offers very high quality accommodations and at very competitive prices. The rooms are superior for their comfort and configuration and the Fredericton hotel is well located near restaurants and shopping mall. As always, a big THUMBS UP to Best Western Plus Fredericton
We had a very pleasant stay. Service was very friendly. Breakfast was suitable. The beds were very comfortable, which was nice after a long day of driving. The only "con" was that the towels were a bit worn out, but other than that this was a good place to stay.
