Les Hameaux De Lozere, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

I booked this hotel on booking.com as it says it has free wifi and I need to work remotely this week. Internet connection is really bad, really it's like it's non-existent! Hotel staff speaks very poor English and is not helpful at all. They didn't allaw me to cancel my reservation to go look for a hotel that actually has internet.

Very comfortable room, with large beds, all amenitie. Very nice and welcoming hotel staff. Lovely, spacious and quiet place, beautiful environment. Very good breakfast and excellent dinner (we had half board). We spent a full week there, trekking in the region, and resting in the hotel.

I visited the resort last weekend. Even though it's a short trip without staying overnight, the overall experience is great to me and my family. The room is clean, the landscape is neat and fresh, the wandering swans and peacocks are super bright white.

The room and view of resort is okay! It is nice for family travel with kids! However the owner of resort who is French Vietnamese is too rude and toxic! Please read my story as below: Last 6 months ( from May to Oct 2021) Saigon was in very severe of Covid. This weekend , 23 and 24 Oct, when the situation is getting bettet, my wife and I decided to take the kids go to this resort which is 45km away from my house, to enjoy our first vacation. Everything is fine and good until our breakfast on 24-Oct. When I and my family included my kids were having desserts before leave the restaurant, one elder man around 70 years old came. He asked my wife " Can I know your relationship between you and this guy?" he pointed to me. I was a little shocked and wonder what if I did something wrong. My wife replied" He is my husband!" " I saw that he looked at the phone too much when he was having breakfast! I think he is too skinny and weak! And it is absolutely not good!" He said to my wife while I was shocked with what he said. " I traveled to many countries and I am also a lecturer at university" he keeps talking. " I think he should get rids of looking at his phone during his eating time!" he continued. I was shocked but in front of my kids , my wife and other, I only smile and replied to him "Thank you!". I don't think an owner with hospitality service talk to his clients in front of many people who still having breakfast at his restaurant like this! Maybe he is a lecturer but I am absolutely not his students and not the right time for his lecture. Not recommended this place if you are business man and kick boxing.

On our trip to spain we used this as our stop-over hotel. It's a bit remote from the motorway, but well worth the 10 extra minutes you spend getting there. Friendly reception, nice rooms given the price range, ok breakfast, pool etc. We also had the three course diner which is priced very competitively. Do watch out for the combination of the main course you choose (meat or fish) with the complements as those are the same for both and sometimes the combination is awkward (gambas with à la placha with 'pommes dauphine', not my taste) We returned on our way back and spend a day walking in the beautiful region.

When i read the reviews before coming, i was surprised: they go to one end of the spectrum to the opposite side, but now after our 4 day stay I understand that you either fall in love with this place or you don't. Our family certainly did. I think, although it might be too big in size to call it this, the term Homestay is more fitting than the term resort. If you expect a luxury resort where you are served cocktails and food of a menu at the pool side, this is not the place for you. So what CAN you expect? A peaceful place to relax and unwind, hosted by two super friendly and attentive owners owners who really make an effort to make sure you have everything you need during your stay. We enjoyed a fresh home cooked buffet 3 times a day. Where they absolutely made sure we had a lot of choices since we are vegetarian. There is coffee and tea and drinking water available all day and you can get cold drinks like soda or beer. The interior of the rooms is a bit outdated but they are kept very clean. The garden is incredible beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed feeding the sheep lotus leaves, observed the swans and the duck family and the beautiful butterflies and birds. The pool is just perfect and our 5 year old son enjoyed the outside toys! (even though they needed a bit of a wash before playing with them). There are quite a lot of senior guests that spent a few months a year here. For us , that gave a friendly, gentle and kind vibe, but if you looking for a hip party atmosphere you are not going to find it here. The resort also offers free bicycles, a library, pétanque and table tennis. It is a great city escape and we will definitely be back!

The swimmingpool and gardens are very beautiful. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Staff is friendly, but does not speak any english. Management is not friendly and does nothing to meet your needs. They did not give us the room we reserved, they said it was overbooked, but we hardly saw any other guests at all. The room is ok, but toilet got blocked 2 times and airco broke on our last night. After 9 pm there is no one to help you if things break down. The last morning there was no power at all. Food was horrendous. When we arrived at 15:00 after a 24 hour trip there was no food at all. The first night the food was overpriced but ok. The next night dinner was very bad. They tried to cook western food. We explained we preffered a Vietnamese dinner the next night. The third night other people got Vietnamese dinner and we ate tasteless, not well prepared food again. We asked to give us the same Vietnamese food, but the owner refused, even after I offered to pay for it. 200.000 VND for a lousy dinner per person, but no other restaurants in the area. Breakfast had poor choices and stale bread. Tea is served cold. On top of this they told me that they made a mistake and I had to pay 1.000.000 VND extra for the prebooked driver, which I of course refused. Things can go wrong but the unwillingness to solve things is why I do not recommand this hotel.

Hard to find a peaceful place with no karaoke or an enormous park beautifully manicured. The food is generous well balanced not pretentious but simply beautiful. No msg and truly generous. Very frenchy: not a sweet salad dressing for instance like everywhere in Vietmam! They are all French speakers. We will be back.
