We had a very Traumatizing situation with the Holiday Inn Express in Downtown Edmonton and this hotel gave us a room at 430 in the morning and we stayed there for 2 nights. The staff was amazing and we would recommend this place to anyone.

The Hotel is small but nice they doing a lot job now and I know is going to look great !The staff is very mix and cultural and made unpredictable, something that is normal for them can be a bit strange for the client. But with the best intention!Good price and very close to most of the cool places in Town. :)

"Good location but not upto the mark "

Happen to stay in the hotel for a weeks ... the location was quite close to my office .. ample parking space was available.. the things that I didnt like were non availability of the swimming pool for my stay period .. the breakfast buffet was similar the entire week .. Overall I would like to book another hotel if happened to visit the city again

Since we are renovating our property, our pool is closed from September 4,2018 to November 30,2018 and we did update the websites for the same. This is just to ensure that the guest will know what there getting while making reservations. I think that was missed while making the reservations. I will definitely talk to the kitchen staff and suggest to use a different variety of food on alternate days. So, that guests, who are here for a longer stay, will have different choice of different days. Location is excellent. The hotel has entrances and exits to all the one way routes around it, so getting there is not a problem. Sound proofing to exterior is very good. We couldn't hear any noise from outside. We stayed on the first floor. Close to lots of eateries with a variety of choices.

"Lovely Stay"

Upon first driving up to the Cedar Park Inn I was unsure as to staying there as I had made an error thinking we were at a different location. The hotel is situated right between two very busy streets so I was concerned about the noise. The lovely girl at reception understood and happily took us up to see our room. It met all our expectations, thank you for being so cheerful and chatty with us. To be honest only in the morning did we notice the beginning of the traffic but it wasn't horribly loud. I would stay there again.

very central location. very clean and comfortable. it can be a little noisy due to being located between gateway BLVD. and calgary trail. there was a complimentary hot breakfast. I would stay here again.

"Sweat Lodge"

We stayed at the BW Cedar Park Inn on September 30 for the Paul MacCartney concert. The thermometer was reading 27 degrees in the room when we arrived back from the concert. We called the front desk and were told there was nothing they could do, they had turned the AC off for the season. The suggested opening the window (didn't help) and said they would bring a fan (they did not). To top this all off, we booked the room on points and when I returned home, I saw they had charged $160 to my credit card. This place is not good.

Quick check in, express check out, clean room, very comfortable beds and hot breakfast downstairs. Well decorated and very quiet. Spacious lobby with computer and printer available for guests to use. We enjoyed our stay.

"What a joke!"

So we get to the hotel just to find out we have to put a 300$ deposit for a 83$ room when the fantasy land hotel charges 200$ deposit for a room with a hot tub. The worst part is when we called to reserve a room that was never mentioned. In the end I will never come back to this location every again!

I apologize that you did not have information for the debit deposit but every hotel takes a debit deposit if the guests do not want to use their Credit Cards. Different hotels have different amount for the debit deposit, that the guests get back at check out if they do not have any additional charges like hotel restaurant charges, in-room movie charges etc. If we are informed about the method of payment at the time of making reservations we generally inform the guest right away but a CC is used to hold the room, we can not say if the guest wants to pay with CC or Debit Card. Booked directly with the front desk. I had to book 2 rooms, one for myself, and one for my other driver. They gave him the same rate as mine as a diamond, He was impressed and told several people about his room, and how nice it was. Room was very good and comfortable. didn't take advantage of the breakfast, not feeling well, but my other driver said it was good.

"Poor Hospitality"

While the room was comfortable, the staff were not welcoming, hospitable or helpful. As two seniors traveling with a pet and some mobility issues, the lack of elevator service to our first floor room (up a short flight of stairs from the lobby) was very inconvenient. Also the inability to access ice and a beverage machine. Our room card prohibited use of the elevator to a floor that offered these amenities. We will not stay in this Best Western hotel again as it was a huge departure from the friendly service we have experienced at other Best Western hotels!

We stayed for 5 days. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The housekeeping staff was more than accommodating to.our needs. Service staff at front desk and in the restaurant were exceptional as well. I would definitely stay here again when in Edmonton.

Pool closed, room was not the one we booked and we had to eat tater tots instead of real hash browns in the restaurant. The hotel normally is great but this work is causing the standards to slide. Hope this changes back to the way it was once renovations are complete.

We were pleasantly surprised at how quiet the room was, since the hotel is next to 3 very busy streets. The location made it easy to get to various destinations quickly.Superstore & McDonalds are easy to walk to (across the street) for snacks.

Since I have stayed in the Bonnyville Best Western for the past 7 months I was curious if another location would meet the same standard. They did. Love the modern look of the hotel. Clean and crisp lobby friendly, helpful staff comfortable beds. Would definitely stay here again

This was a great stay. Apart from the young lady that checked me out. Dont let 1 bad apple ruin the whole bushel though. Great staff other than her!!! Internet was a little temperamental with my VPN but fast when it didnt kick me off...lol

What a nice change of venue. The Hotel is quiet, clean and comfortable. Location is good for the area I needed to be in. Convenient to facilities, stores, and restaurants and shopping. Room was quiet, and enjoyable. The Fridge was very convenient. Coffee good too.

Hotel was very nice. I like that you need a key card to use the elevator and stairs. Made it secure with my 2 year old. The hotel has been updated since my last stay and is more modern. This place is about 15 minute drive from the mall and a short drive from downtown. Only problem I had was that the ac wasnt working. Not much of a problem if your away from your room.

I expected a lot, I should say, as we love staying at Port O Call in Calgary, but I know they do not have a water park, though I expected that it should be clean -- the pool is just too old and water in the pool looks so gross, tiles are yucky. I just want my kids to enjoy after the long day at the mall, but I am really hesitant to let them in the pool, I was just thankful of the smell of chlorine. Whats more, they ran out of toilet paper in the washroom pool area, there's nobody around I rush to get the paper towels by the sink...the paper towel dispenser was broken..that was just so great! Thankful for cellphones that my husband went in for the rescue! The only good thing here was the front desk lady was so friendly, and she was also the one who delivered the pool towels. I think they have problems in refreshing all kinds of towels in this hotel. We checked in at 8 pm, checked out at 7 am, which is a good thing as I do not want to stay for so long in this hotel. The air conditioning is good, not great as it created a creepy noise, but oh well, my kids slept through it, I can manage. So disappointed.

This hotel is amazing. It is newly renovated and absolutely beautiful! The price was under $100 a night which makes it one of the more coat effective ones in Edmonton, but with the best value because everything is new and renovated. Love this hotel!

We stayed here 5 nights in July /2018. We called ahead of time to book. We booked 2 queen beds, and we were upgraded to a king bed. Staff at front desk were very friendly and helpful. Room was very nice. I would definitely stay there again, and would highly recommend it.

"Worse Best Western we have EVER STAYED IN..."

This Best Western is an embarrassment to the Best Western chain of hotels. We are Best Western Awards members and ALWAYS take advantage of staying at a Best Western whenever possible when we travel. However we STRONGLY RECOMMEND you DO NOT stay at this particular hotel. Hair on the floor in the bathroom...totally disgusting and similar around the room and balcony area. What a disgusting place. Do NOT stay here as you will be very very disappointed. Tons of other Best Westerns to stay at in Edmonton so do that. We stayed here Only because it was close to where we had to visit and deal with...What a mistake....Yuck...came home and took a shower just to feel clean again.

At first site the hotel is clean, convenient to get to and affordable. Lounge is small, 2 tables and full of VLT gamers testing there luck. Worst bed ever. Very noisy inside and out. I think next time I'll pay a bit more and stay at a different Best Western

The hotel lobby is beautifully bright, clean, welcoming and spacious. The elevator is a bit slow so I found that taking the stairs was a bit easier as we were on the first floor right next to the access door. The room was comfortable and clean, my kids enjoyed watching the traffic and while I could hear it a bit the noise was quite muffled. The only downside to this hotel was the fact there was no breakfast included and since we had to be somewhere early both mornings we were there we didn't have time to eat breakfast in the restaurant.

Hotel has been recently updated. Rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. Room has a fridge and wide screen tv. It has a Superstore and liquor store across the street. Also a Mcdonalds and Tony Romas across the street. The hotel has a pool but I didn't go in it. Bar staff were nice and they even have slot machines in the bar area. Overall, good stay. I would do it again.

"Fix the Toilets!!!"

The staff were fabulous. They were helpful, friendly and went above and beyond. We were with a large group and our accommodations included breakfast. It was an absolute fiasco the first morning. They ran out of food. They ran out of plates. They ran out of cutlery. Communication is the key as the individuals organizing the food were only told the number of rooms booked and not the number of people. Since many of the rooms were double occupancy that doubled the amount of food required. As well, everyone in our group had to get out for the same time that morning. The breakfast staff improved for the remaining four days. There was sufficient food, cutlery and plates. Unfortunately, every day the breakfast offerings were the same...scrambled eggs, pancakes and sausage patties (except the first day there were sausage links). One day, there were danishes in the pastry selection which was nice. By the end of our stay, the fifth day of the same breakfast foods, things were getting "stale". They had a number of different teas to choose from. It would have been nice if they had decaf, orange pekoe tea in their selection as well. The "Business Center" was three/four computers on a high table in the lobby. The printer attached to them did not work. This situation was not remedied during our stay of 5 nights. However, the front desk staff were accommodating as we had to print the boarding passes for our flight and they arranged for us to use their printer. The hotel has a "pool". It was a major disappointment. The pools at other Best Western's that we have stayed at have been large and suitable for swimming laps. We were excited to read that this pool was salt water. The pool is appropriate for going into with small children and/or to "hang out". The change rooms are small and do not have lockers. Do not go there expecting to be able to swim. It is much too small for that. The title of the review is "Fix the Toilets" as there were problems everywhere with the plumbing. Shortly after our arrival, maintenance came to replace the toilet ring on our toilet as it was showing up on their system as leaking. As well, periodically, the seal would not close in the toilet tank and we would have to lift the lid on the back and adjust it. From the start, the toilet in our second room only flushed if you lifted the lid and pulled on the chain. (Once reported, maintenance did come and repair the toilet.) A person we know in a third room came back to the room one night to discover the toilet "overflowing". The plumbing in the hotel is a big issue. There was barely any water pressure. The lack of water pressure and the toilet situations earned the "poor" rating for the hotel. If someone invested the money to overhaul the plumbing, the hotel would be a good place to stay. The issues we encountered were primarily due to the age of the building. The staff were great but were unable to compensate for the other issues. All in all, I wouldn't stay there again unless the plumbing were repaired/replaced.

I gave them an excellent rating only because they cancelled my reservation.., I booked via the Cedar Park website not realizing the booking agent is U.S., so my reservation was converted to US$. I'm Canadian, I refuse to pay US$ to stay in a Canadian hotel. By calling the hotel directly I was able to get almost a total refund. So I'm very thankful. The hotel's advice is to call directly to avoid US charges. I learned a valuable lesson about booking online! I had picked Cedar Park because the Red Arrow Bus used to pickup here. They have changed locations, so I booked with that hotel.

"A great place to stay when in Edmonton!"

We were patrons at this hotel, along with our volleyball team for the National Championships this last weekend. The hotel staff were super efficient at checkin and checkout, they had to be due to the level of activity during this stay. They had no problem storing our ice block each night (for our cooler) and had no problem with our team meetings in the lobby. One really big test of the hotel staff's patience and professionalism was when we brought a table in that we had purchased. A storage room was made available for us and unfortunately we brought it in at checkin time (again, a super busy time for this distraction). I know many hotels out there would not have been nearly this patient with us during this time (super heavy and bulky and did admittedly cause a disturbance at such a busy time). Mary Ann was super patient and helpful when bringing this table into their storage room and another staff member, a young man, sorry did not catch your name was super awesome as well. This was a frustrating time for all involved and I thank you all for being so patient and helpful!!

"My place in Edmonton"

I stay here everytime I'm in Edmonton. All rooms now renovated. Great large screen tv with remotes that have sleep timer. All lamps include regular and USB power plugs. I always take a king size room and they've always been very comfortable. I enjoy that it is surrounded by good selection of restaurants plus a large grocery store across the street. With large mini fridges and microwaves in all room, you have many options. Dine in or out. There is a restaurant on the ground floor but I have never eaten there. Front desk as well as housekeeping staff do a great job. Always kind and helpfull.

"Cedar park inn"

Not impressed with this hotel The floors in two different rooms felt dirty the rug in the hallway has been well used and is in need of replacing. Room doors bang shut. The staff we saw were pleasant enough. The restaurant was not up to the standard of your other hotels. After eating in the hotel we ordered out for food.

Overall my stay was good, staff were welcoming and nice! I went to the hotel because my friend from BC was down, so I got a Single Queen with a Jacuzzi, everything was good except for the Jacuzzi took forever to fill. But that's just first world problems.

Front desk staff was excellent, well trained and genuine people. Dealt with us and housekeeping in a professional manner when our room wasn't ready. Suni did all she can to get us in a room. They were also able to retrieve my wifes ring that she forgot after we check-out. Glad to see that there are still some honest people in this world.

Rough... Lobby looks good .... and that's the end. Front desk staff took 1.5hrs To check me in..AT 1AM. I understand...most hotel dislike the third party vendors (Expedia,hotels.ca etc) but when you come in at 1am and there is a slight problem with YOUR computers (as the room is prepaid with the vendor) and YOUR systems...dont put it on the customer, dont raise the price, dont leave them sitting in the lobby until 2:45am... and dont NOT respond to complaint letter laying out how you were mistreated. Rooms are old and dated, never saw the pool or the gym,too much of a fiasco, had to get out of there. Elevators are vandalized, lack of pride shows in this one. They dont advertise breakfast, but provided one ... but nothing hot, or fresh ..cereal and empty fruit salad bowl... warming plates got your Hope's up, but the pantry was bare. Low price cant make up for this one, go south, many better options. Best Western should remove their brand of this one.

"Not for breakfast"

The gym is inadequate. The bike collapsed on me, another maintenance person couldn't help us turn on the treadmill. The breakfast is lacking and leaves you wanting. Bring your own coffee. Bring your own yogurt. You will not sleep if your room faces the street. The check-in staff don't know their jobs.

Great location; Family suite a good idea; staff effective & efficient. Trims and furniture are chipped; Beds getting quite saggy; Bathroom clean but old and worn; During our last stay a few years ago, the air conditioning was not good enough to keep up with the heat Pool area needs attention

Very helpful staff at reception. As Best Western Platinum member received a discount and an upgrade. Very impressed with what appears to be be relatively recent upgrades or renovations. Excellent location if looking for a south central Edmonton location. Heaps of restaurants within walking distance. Gas bar, liquor store and large Superstore grocery store across the street. Have already made reservations for next trip to Edmonton.The card security system linked to elevator and being floor specific makes one feel safe and secure.

I like the hotel the staff is great but if you use the fitness room at all is very poor equipment, in bad condition and poor quality, and located in a very bad extremely hot room. If I wasn't interested in the fitness room I would've been pleased with my stay

"Pretty dissappoiting"

My wife , niece, and my self came here for a visit to visit my oldest niece in the hospital. We were given an upgrade to an executive but was the same as the room I booked elevator went down right away the stair well was littered with garbage and beer cans and the pool was smaller then I've ever seen in a hotel. The only good thing was the staff was really good I wouldn't come back here.

"Terrible Hotel - They just don't care"

We booked a King suite for our family of 3 to stay. A day before we were to come, they called me because they overbooked that type of room, so they changed our room type to an Executive King. Won't sleep 3 but they didn't care. Then when my family got to the hotel they changed our room again to a Queen room. How was this supposed to sleep 3 people? Again they didn't care. What terrible service and lack of caring. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

This is my second visit and I'm so happy this hotel takes dogs. It's a great place good location on the staff for fantastic. If you're just wanting a good hotel for good money and you have your pets with you this is the one to choose.

Have stayed here several times. Always great customer service. Room was ready and clean. Had a great view of traffic.lol will be back again soon..love the restaurant with great food . Many other stores and places nearby. Would recommend to others to stay here..

"Business Travellers + Heating & Cooling on the Fifth Floor -- A Good Hotel But..."

We were booked for the fifth floor [in a business suite]. Unfortunately we found out after checking in very late that the heating and cooling system could not be adjusted. It was close to 80 degrees fahrenheit [26 celcius] in the suite. We had to open the window to try to cool things down – but could not to that for too long or we would have gotten a chill. [our stay was in March] We moved the second night to another floor. We had a much better second night. Good Things About This Hotel: *The beds are clean and comfortable *Front line service workers are helpful *Attentive service from housekeeping staff *The rooms are simple and well appointed *The price is good *Business Centre *Good Security in the building *On-site restaurant *The property is well located -- near shopping, restaurants and has easy access to the highway There are more pluses here so we would stay here again. Until they fix that operational concern for the fifth floor we will be sure to book on any other floor.

I arrived on the room just to find hair strands on the sheets and stains on the pillow sheets. No answer on the phone from both the front desk and the service number 5 times!!! Worst hotel! The plugs in the rooms are so loose that it doesn't hold a phone charger in place properly!

Overall the hotel is average, not much as changed since I last visited it back in 2013 except for the exterior painting. The carpet, washroom and plumbing could do with some upgrade. One of the best locations on Calgary Trail.

Great hotel in the outskirts of the city, just South of downtown. The locatation is great as far as shopping. A lot of restaurants and shops around the hotel. Walmart a couple blocks south and then the WhiteMud drive which takes you on a loop around the city is just a few hundred meters away. If you take the white mud drive west you will find the WEM, West Edmonton mall, very easy and you have shopping and entertainment for a whole day. So this hotel is great if you like to tourist Edmonton and you have wheels. The breakfast is not included, not even a small continental which is the only minus. Rooms and clean and tightly without being fancy, but it is also reflected in the price. Jessica in the reception does a great job. Thanks for superior service and hospitality.

Nice place but it is one that does not do breakfast. The rooms are not quite as big as you would find in most BW. Access was easy and good. There were no noice issues. Staff were very good. The lounge/restaurant was good and reasonably priced. issues.

We booked with this hotel on a whim to have a night away. Drive two hours with our toddler and me being 7.5 months pregnant. When we arrived to the city we realized we had left our credit card at home. However the room was already paid in full through booking.com. If that wasn't enough our vehicles engine light came on when we were entering town. I walked into this hotel exhausted, frustrated and extremely emotional only to be refused for a reservation I had already paid for. No empathy, no sympathy and a rather rude front desk clerk who made a fake phone call to her manager as I asked to speak with him. Will never stay in this hotel ever!

Stayed here for one night while doing a course in Edmonton. Check in staff was rude and not very helpful with any questions I had. Checked into the room and ended up having one of the worst sleeps ever at any hotel. Lots of outside noise and could hear people talking all throughout the night temperature in the room fluctuated throughout the night without adjusting anything??!! In the morning went outside to see that my vehicle was broken into and numerous things stolen from it. Management couldn't even be bothered to give me a call and so I needed up having to return after my course to speak with them myself. All in all a horrible experience and wouldn't recommend it to anybody. Lots of sketchy transients floating around the area searching through vehicles and being being a general nuisance.

Say, this is a great little hotel. Clean, Quiet, well-managed and a great value. This is the fifth time I've been here and it continues to offer good value for money. The restaurant has the best chicken club no sandwich in the Western Canada, but don't touch the hashbrowns.

This hotel is conveniently located and easy to find on the south side of the city near family we were there to visit. Excellent value for the dollar without giving up anything I expect in a fine hotel.Never one to be easily impressed, it was clean and comfortable providing all the amenities with a friendly, efficient and helpful staff. What more could I ask for?

Visited this hotel for one night. Hotel have not restaurant or cafe for breakfest. On walking distance many restaurant and shoping options are. Staff was friendly, room was clean. Also we got conference room for working. There where very cold in elevator- it is placed on building facade and not heated.

We booked a one night stay over the winter break, as we were visiting family in Edmonton. The room was very clean and well maintained. We appreciated that we were able to bring our little dog with us, as the hotel is pet friendly. There was nothing particularly special about the hotel, though. The view from our room was of Superstore. We stayed during a cold spell, and unfortunately the heater in the room didn't seem to be working properly, so although we set the temperature for 21 degrees, it was only 16 degrees when we woke up in the morning. Nonetheless, our stay was fine, and the location was convenient for us.

I appreciated the ability to call the hotel directly to make a reservation; easy quick process. The price was very reasonable! Staff very friendly and professional. Surprised to discover my room has a separate bedroom area, unlike the usual hotel one room. Have stayed here before and have enjoyed it because of its quality & location.

This hotel is older but adequate it is dog friendly. Although there is not much green space for the dogs to go to the bathroom. And I found that everyone was leaving their poop behind so I feel that there should be some signs posted please pick up your poop. The dog-friendly rooms are good they have no carpeting vinyl flooring which is just great. The hotel staff is very friendly and everything you would need is close by shopping liquor stores it's a convenient place to get to.

Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, internet was a bit slow, and the pool is on the smaller size, but overall we were happy with the hotel. We have stayed at this hotel 3 different times now. Nice having a restaurant on site also.

This hotel was very polished on the interior but the room are thrown together cheaply, the service was sub par, and was not a very good stay all together. The best western south is a much better location for not a lot more money

We were treated well by the desk and our room was great. Our disappointment was due to the bland appearance and sparsely furnished restraint. The evening serving staff acted as though we were an inconvenience to her and she would rather go home.

We typically stay with family but chose to stay in this location for it's convenience and also specifically booked a queen room with a Jacuzzi tub for a romantic night away, only to find out the tub wasn't in working order. We were 'upgraded' to a king room which didn't feel like an upgrade at all because the room was tiny in comparison, and also cheaper in value. We found our hotel room quite noisy because is was facing 51 Avenue. I used Best Western Rewards money for the room so I spent nothing out of pocket but had I paid with my own money I would have been extremely disappointed. I've stayed in much nicer Best Western Hotels with more amenities for similar monetary value.

Our room was perfectly taken care of, and the woman, her name was Jessica (she's so sweet!) at the front desk helped us with everything even though we had some trouble with our room. Nonetheless, everyone was so kind and friendly, would definitely recommend.

Excellent pace to stay when in Edmonton for medical appointments rate is very good and close to the Grey Nuns Hospital and the University of Alberta Hospital. All you need is proof of appointment. Very economical if you have to travel quite often to Edmonton for medical appointments.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room/bathroom was clean, quiet hotel too on the 5th floor. We would stay here again when in the Edmonton area. We had quick drinks and appetizer in the restaurant and the service was very quick as we were in a bit of a hurry.

The hotel is older, but it's in a great location, right on Calgary Trail, the staff are nice, the rooms are clean, beds comfy, and parts of the bathroom have been renovated, so the age doesn't matter.

There were two crazy ladies when I checked in wanting their money back because the pool was broken and complaining they took a hold off their card, all hotels take holds on cards crazy ladies!?! That's how you pay for the room and incidentals. What do you expect for a budget reasonably priced hotel in a city? It's a good location, lots of amenities nearby, rooms are updated and clean, staff were friendly, good tv. That's about all I care about, oh and it was reasonably priced, if you want “fancy” pay for fancy crazy ladies, I mean it was $100 cheaper a night VS four points, and $130 cheaper than delta, come on.

The housekeeping and staff are exceptional. Our room was excellent with a great nights sleep. Will definitely stay here again as it is convenient to restaurants and shopping. We were on the back side of the hotel and it was very quiet. However, and it is a big HOWEVER. I would not eat in the restaurant or patronize the lounge as service and food were extremely bad. We were the only ones in the lounge and the waitress was unable to provide a written wine list or give us prices. She verbally gave us some choices only to be told they were out of one of our choices a couple of minutes later. Then she left the lounge area to get our wine out of a back room. The whole process probably took about 7 or 8 minutes. The breakfast is not included so we went to the restaurant. There was a single lady guest and us. The waitress was also the cook and disappeared for minutes unend. When we were served our food it was cold and not appealing. We didn't want to return it as we didn't want to wait any longer. The lounge and restaurant were really bad when the actual hotel part of our stay shone like a diamond. Sorry, but you did let us down. This hotel is definitely better than this and i would suggest getting more and better staff in the lounge and restaurant or closing these as there is lots of competition in the are for food and drink.

I hadn't stayed at this venue for a couple of years and upon checking in to both the hotel and my room, I was quite impressed with the interior upgrades that had been made. This venue is centrally located for the client I had to visit. Staff are very cordial and professional. The only issue that I have with this venue is the environmental fee of $3.95 per night as this is not a normal charge that I have encountered at other. BW's. When I asked about it, I was advised that it is for the planting of trees & garbage pu etc. To me, this is a cost of operating the business. There is a great looking dining room that does serve breakfast however, the breakfast is not incl in the hotel stay but they do offer a disc for meals to their guests. I would definitely stay here again.

They had a breakfast made just for us. There was no variety and it was the same thing every day but at least it was something they could offer us and they always asked us what time we would like it ready for. We appreciated free breakfast when you have a team of 12 girls. Thanks!

Sayed here for 4 nights. Reception very friendly and helpful Room looked clean and pleasant. Good amenities in the bathroom and coffee and tea as well in the bedroom. No breakfast included but prices are very reasonable. Overall a good place at the right price close to the city centre ( 10 minutes by car)

We have stayed at this hotel often when going to edmonton, whether shopping, or meetings, on the south side. Lots of good restaurants close by, and shopping, South Gate shopping centre and south common stores too, if road noise is what keeps you up ask for a room on the back side, we found it very acceptable for noise.

"Fraudulent charge to my card"

I enjoyed my stay from September 11-14. On checking out I was informed I had a charge from the restaurant from last evening. I clearly stated I had not eaten in the restaurant other than on my first night at the hotel and had paid for my meal on debit. I was told I would not be charged and she would look into it. Hearing nothing I believed the mistake had been rectified. Disappointed to find I was charged $21.75. I will be contacting my bank unless I hear from the management of the hotel with an apology and refund.

"Great Getaway Stay"

Newly renovated Inn with great staff overall, nice Jacuzzi room and appearance of inside is appealing to us. Front desk was very helpful and friendly as it was our first time in this hotel. The room attendants do a great job and service was good. Lounge and restaurant staff were great and cheerful. The Inn was close to Southgate Shopping Center. Some shopping and restaurants are within walking distance. I definitely would stay here again.

Reception and the room were great. My room was upgraded from a standard to executive and it was under $100 before taxes. I am returning with my family on the weekend and will be staying there again instead of somewhere else that we had planned.

No continental breakfast available just a small restaurant. There were whole twizzlers behind the dresser when we checked in and the room could use a deep clean for sure. The tub was extremely shallow and the shower curtain barely stayed in resulting in water all over the floor.Front desk agents were not pleasant either. Needs renovations!

I have driven by this hotel many times over the years, but not stayed there, but I was really impressed with my stay recently. The hotel has gone an exterior and interior renovation and it is really nice. Such a unique hotel because of the way it was built. The lobby is extremely modern and the exterior is tasteful. The rooms are nicely updated. The service was excellent.

Really enjoyed the stay I was in town for a concert and had booked ahead this hotel is reasonably close to the Commonwealth Stadium I found the rooms to be a touch overpriced they were however very clean and the beds were new the decor was all new and nice the staff was friendly and helpful I had Credit Card issues and they went out of their way to accommodate me I would recommend this hotel especially if you're going to a event at Commonwealth Stadium

I love being a guest at Cedar Park Inn. It is so comfortable to stay there. The management and staff are excellent. It is very child friendly. I will only stay at the Cedar Park Inn whenever I stay in Edmonton for personal and/or business reasons.

We had a good time staying in Edmonton Best Western. It was a great experience especially for the children. Hopefully, whenever we are in Edmonton, we will stay there again and again. Kudos for a wonderful hospitality.

The pool is terrible. Rooms smell Carpet was wet in room restaurant staff didn't know about what they were serving Every question I asked them they didn't know the answer The rooms where musky smelling.

Pool wasn't working, staff failed to mention this while checking in. Room had garbage under the bed. Left a child's toy behind & when I called the hotel to see if they found it, they had. I ask if you could be mailed, they said no but they would hold it at the front desk for somebody to pick up. We are three hours so this was not very helpful. But they did not seem to care at all.

Recently chose this hotel for a one night stay the night of a major concert. First off must say the service is exceptional! Check-in and checkout was excellent. They were very attentive to your concerns,the hotel exterior and rooms however definitely showing some aging since last time I stayed here! We had no issues as room was very clean, beds were comfortable and AC worked fine no issues here! Would stay here again.

The Shuswaps fastball club has travelled to many cities and communities throughout Canada- this was by far the best hotel we have stayed at! The staff was awesome and very professional. The hotel was very clean and comfortable! I would recommend a stay at this hotel!

An adequate hotel. Service and staff were good. Cleanliness was not perfect. There was someone else's hair in the shower, and the pool was so chlorinated it looked 'milky'. Seemed overpriced for the quality.

Came from BC for our daughter's wedding. Nice interior for the lobby and restaurant. Easy to travel around the city from its location. Staff were very courteous, the rooms were clean and comfortable. Will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone coming in to Edmonton for work or leisure.

You get what you pay for. Cheap but poor service ranging in from the front desk, to maintenance, to house keeping. When you want your tv to work, don't count on it, and don't count on prompt service. Well meaning people, but I definitely won't return, and I will be sure to tell my friends.

Stayed here for one night only and didn't feel anything to complain about. Staffs are really nice.Booked just one day ahead and Checked-In 2 hours before time as we reached early. The key was handed-over immediately. The room was clean. Size of the room was OK. Wifi is free and fast. Stayed only one night as planned without any hassle. Not far from West Edmonton Mall and close to other facilities. Will consider to stay again.

Night from hell. Checked in, picked up at least 40 pieces of stuff right by bed. Some were even toe nail trimmings. Tried to sleep, but fridge was so noisy had to get up and unplug it. Then discovered that right outside our room window are all the air units for hotel. Too noisy to sleep ALL night. To top it off, when checking in had to go down to lobby with bad remote and key card that wouldn't work. This after letting desk phone ring 25 times. No apology from staff. Phoned down at 2 am, about noise. Desk staff just said "oh", didn't offer any solution. Finally manager got to hotel at almost 10 am. Mild apology and promise of 16000 reward points. 16 hrs later, no points. Best Western used to be a favorite of ours, but won't be in Edmonton again.

The quality of room, decor, bedding and services were excellent. The only downfall was that no complimentary breakfast was offered, although there is a restaurant on site at your cost foe a full meal.

Clean and obviously upgrading. Staff are the best part helpful and polite. Decent restaurant. Booking on the best western site is misleading....pictures do not match rooms for executive king level, also services offered like slippers and turn down are not provided. No ice machine on floor yet there are signs saying there is. Staff indicated there has not been for some time. Hint, cover or remove signs or update...Filled out best western review through rewards but no response from management. Not at best western level for looking after regular customers.

Accessibility to drive downtown from that inn was excellent. It was very neat to take a short walk to a grocery store, coffee shops, and convenient stores along the highway from that inn. The lobby was very spacious and easy to view around it.

A very good experience at this hotel. The reception staff were efficient and professional and all the staff were friendly throughout the stay. The two issues I had were handled promptly by both the housekeeping staff and front desk. I would definitely stay at the hotel again.

Nice place , good deal . Will be going back. it was a bit crowded. Parking is full. Needs more soynd proof, i can here people talking and kids are loud. Breakfast is not included, close to superstore, tony romas and mcdonalds.

Newly renovated interior and room, combined with it's location make this the perfect place for short or even long stays. Major grocery store across the street, as well as major restaurants all easy walking distance. Also a stop for major bus routes.

About Average to below average for Value. The first room we checked into had sewer back-up (the toilet water flowed back into the bath-tub) however the staff were very prompt in moving us into a different room.

The stay at this hotel was too long, on leaving one morning at 7am, some one had thrown up in the foyer of the hotel, all that had been done to address the situation was a yellow cone that is put on the floor after washing. Now if that doesn't ruin your day nothing will, front desk had long line-ups on many occasions as there appeared to be a shortage of staff. Elevator trapped guests inside and would not let them exit, staff again seemed to be in short supply to fix the problem. Room was not cleaned or made one day during the stay, all in all the 2 star rating is being generous. If this property has had a major face lift, what was it like before. Would not recommend this hotel and will not return when travelling to Edmonton.

I booked a room here for 5 nights while I was in town for work. I had early mornings and very long days so a quiet and cool place close to the university was what I needed. Upon checking in I was impressed by the staff at check in and the cleanliness of the common areas. They were all so inviting. My room was also really nicely updated. My positive impressions did not last long though.... Night 1: Wednesday July 5th- 11:30pm I was startled awake by a loud bang...it was the door next door slamming shut. Followed by several more slammed doors and yelling, laughing and screaming. There were several individuals in the room next door. I waited a bit to see if it would quiet down, but no such luck. I phoned the front desk and the girl apologized and said that she would come up and check on that room. I was able to fall back asleep, but was startled awake again by banging doors and loud talking and laughter at about 3am by the same group of individuals. I was in tears at this point because I was exhausted and needed to be awake in 3 short hours. I banged on the adjoining door between our room three times thinking that the individuals would quiet down, but they did not. I waited a little bit and then called the front desk again. A gentleman picked up this time and said that he would be right up to check on the room. When he came up about 10 minutes later, he knocked on the door and the individuals started shushing each other and went silent, refusing to open up the door. Luckily the front desk man waited and the individual finally opened the door. When I heard this I went out in the hall and literally begged this young lady to be kind and realized that there are other people who are trying to sleep. It was a Wednesday night! Night 2: It was a good night. I went to the front desk when I got off of work to see if the same individuals were staying in the room that night and the room was empty....so it was going to be quiet! Night 3: I got back to my room after work and it was 26 C in the room with the air conditioner set at 17 C. I called down to the front desk and they said that they were having difficulties and would send a fan up to the room if they had any left. The temperature reached a high of 27 C in the room and no fan was sent up. I phoned the front desk at about midnight to check on the fan and they said that they ran out of fans and that hopefully it would be fixed tomorrow. Yay for another uncomfortable night. Night 4: I got back to my room completely exhausted from my long day of work to find that the room next to me was occupied yet again by a loud group of individuals. With tears in my eyes from the thought of another night spent sleepless, I went to the front desk and asked for a room change. The gentleman listened to my reasoning and apologized. He said that I would be compensated for all of the troubles that I had experienced. He was able to find a room on the fourth floor and I was grateful. I moved all of my stuff up to the new room and turned on the air conditioning to cool the room down from a warm twenty six degrees. It was an executive room which was a nice upgrade with a beautiful decor and a nice deep soaking tub. I went to get some supper and came back to the room being hotter than it was when I left. I found a housekeeping staff member and asked her for a fan, but she said that they were all being used...... cold shower and a prayer for a better sleep it is. Night five... Before I left in the morning I asked for a fan for the room and my request was granted. The room was able to get down to an almost cool twenty three degrees. By night five I was done with calling the front desk. I was exhausted and frustrated. In the morning I went downstairs to check out and mentioned to the lady at the desk that it was a bad stay and that I would like to be compensated for the horrible experience. She told me that I would have to contact the online company that I booked through. When I got home the next day I phoned the online company and they phoned the hotel, but the matter could not be dealt with because the manager was not there. I had to phone the company again today because I had not been contacted like they said I would be. I'm getting the run around from the hotel who is now saying that they have no record of a noise complaint on the first night. I have learned that you get what you pay for. At just over one hundred dollars a night I thought that I would have a peaceful and comfortable place to rest at night. Instead I was constantly uncomfortable from the heat and disrespectful hotel guests. This is not good customer service now when I am trying to get compensated for the horrible stay or then when other guests and broken air conditioning were affecting my stay.

Stayed for 2 nights and didn't do much around city during the day as time was spent in West Ed Mall so this hotel out of busy city suited our needs. Hotel was clean enough but could have been much cleaner, perhaps this is to do with the decor in the rooms which is dated. Beds were comfortable and air conditioning was working. Our rooms power went one morning and reception sent some one up and it was back working within 10 mins. Plenty of amenities around including places to eat and a superstore. Overall I would stay again and recommend.

Everything went well upon arrival. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Went to bed and awoke to find the A/C not working. Very hot amd unable to rest comfortably. Reported to desk at 9am and was told it would be handled in one hour. 3 pm still no one had came. Called again and when maintenance did come was unable to fix. Moved to another room. Still not working. Moved to another and another after the 5th move maintenance tells me floors 3 to 5 are all on same system so will prob have to move to floor 1 or 2. While very helpful advice by this time it was almost 10pm and my day was wasted. Moved to floor 1 and finally got some some rest. It was a downgraded room by about $50 but they still tried to charge me for the upgraded room i booked. Just very unhappy overall. The front desk was very nice just not informed correctly on how to handle the situation i assume

Good hotel. Great value for the price. Restaurant is good and hotel staff are very friendly. Lounge??? Definitely not a lounge. Is a barren room filled with VLTs. Location to good restaurants is excellent.

room was clean and comfortable, bed was great. i had the dinner special in the restaurant, the butter chicken, it was soooo good. the server was really good, funny and attentive, nice treat. the young fella at the desk offered to carry my bags up to my room for me, not needed but very nice.

Nice facility, close enough to restaurants and downtown but not too close as well. We enjoyed our stay. The rooms were comfortable, spacious enough and beds were a good quality. Lots of amenities, like pillows, shampoo, conditioner etc. Pool was small but nicely maintained. No hot tub but did not detract from our stay.

"Quick overnight in Edmonton"

t was a quick stay for a weekend of shopping and taking family back to the airport. The hotel is a quick drive from West Edmonton Mall and a few minutes from the Edmonton International Airport. The hotel is very close to many restaurants and stores. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are updated and very clean. Great hotel for a weekend getaway or stop on your way through.

So much wrong with this place. Rooms were old. Front desk lady was very rude and so was the guy at night. I won't be staying here again. We asked for joining rooms they said yes 2 weeks before we got here and we got here they had no rooms joined and they had no extra cots for us and they said they did. Never again

A good hotel that is perfect for a short stay in Edmonton. The room was clean and the queen bed was comfortable. The bathroom was also clean and user friendly. The restaurant in the hotel was great! Super friendly staff and the meal was delicious. The proximity is close to a great breakfast place and alcohol store too. A good choice for Edmonton!

This is a very good hotel choice for (usually) under $100.00 South side of Edmonton near lots of restaurant choices, Whyte avenue and the University district. This is my most frequent choice to stay at while visiting Edmonton.

Great value! Was cheaper to book online through hotels.com. Hotel is older but recently had renovations done. Stayed the first night with my dog, which only costs an additional 20 dollars. Had to take him to the vet.

Pros: Kinda south central location in town - Gateway blvd (Northbound)/Calgary Trail (Southbound) routes. Superstore across street (groceries) Got a lower than advertised rate on an online price deal website. The bed was comfy. Lots of power plug points around the room. Card access elevator to higher floors. Seasons grill downstairs. Cons: The curtains don't pull all the way across the window so cannot blackout to sleep. The door had to be lifted to close shut in the room I stayed in. The furniture seemed to have missing parts (see photo). While walls seem to be brick, soundproofing could be better. Overall few renovations otherwise shows age in amenities.

Great stay in the "family room". Lovely suite and very clean. Front desk staff so helpful and friendly. "Danielle " went above and beyond.. much appreciated. An older building but very clean and well looked after. Would be nice to have a hot tub. But pool nice. Good stay

Nothing extraordinary but, very clean and decent place to stay. We've been here before and the service is quite good. Prices are great too. We like the location. Lots of services and restaurants, nearby. Ten minutes to the Heart Institute.

The staff where very good and answered all our questions when we asked for info. The wait staff in the restaurant were friendly and very attentive to our needs. The rooms were clean and recently Refurbished. All in all we were very satisfied with our stay.

A clean hotel with great restaurant staff. Room is comfortable, but a bit noisy on the street side. Bring earplugs!. Hotel is not the greatest looking from the outside, but inside is quite welcoming and it is very clean and well kept. The lounge, as well as the pool are small, so not a lot of room for a group in either place. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. This Best Western is one of the lower priced hotels in Edmonton in this category. For the price it is a great place to stay. It is located near many restaurants and a short drive to South Common, South Gate, and even West Edmonton mall is only about a 10 min drive. I would recommend it.

Always a great stay at this Hotel, Check in is smooth, rooms are great and never have had any issues with this hotel. Beds do need to be a little softer as they are quite firm and bathrooms could use a little updating. But overall fantastic

So welcoming!!! The front desk and restaurant staff were amazing! The waitress Karen even went as far as getting breakfast made for me after the cut off time 11:00am. Will come back just for their hospitality! Also quite clean and it's a convenient location.

We wound up here by mistake... I booked a different BW and meant to book this one. They were so wonderful to accomodate me and my family when we showed up with no reservation! And every staff member has been amazing! Extra Towels, wine glasses sent up, and extra kleenex boxes since we're here visiting ailing relatives. it's just been great. And the wifi is simply STELLAR. When we get back to the hotel after stressing out at the hospital all day and we just need to chill... they have in room movies to buy and also we've used our computer to watch netflix. It's been a great way to destress.

Beautiful entry way - you'd think it was a very nice hotel. Was too hot and hard to get just the right temperature at night. Our AC was very loud in the room. Loud compressors or machines outside near our window (we think they have to do with heating the building). Make sure you are not near them. We were on the 3rd floor on back of hotel. Nice pool though small. Lots of parking. A&W, McDonalds, Tony Romas very close. Staff were friendly. Very convenient location.

This is a classic place to stay in Edmonton because the rooms are always clean and there is free parking. It's also not too far of a drive to whyte avenue area. It's usually fairly priced as well as long as you book ahead or it's not a super busy weekend in the city.

Perfect for what I need it to be. Good Value, Easy access to all major routes, great value breakfast, friendly staff, and a bar for a pint at the end of the day. Ideal hotel if you are in Edmonton and simply require your hotel stay to just be really good without the price tag.

Hotel is one block along. It is one continuous hallway. Although there is a secondary elevator on the east side, the main elevators are in the middle of the building. This makes getting to and from a room quite a hike. Although the hotel was 25% full, the young man that check me in sent me to the extreme west end, which is on a very busy street. The Traffic noise was tremendous. I walked a half a block to the elevators in went down and spoke to them at the desk. I then went back to my room and collected my luggage and walk the block to my new room on the other extreme of the hotel. All of this midnight after a long day of travel. They were courteous efficient and effective, but I was exhausted. The hotel is clean comfortable with very good staff. If you are traveling to Calgary on the Red Arrow Executive Bus Line, staying here is very convenient. the hotel is the last stop for this service as it leaves Edmonton. A word to the wise: when booking the hotel asked to be located within six rooms of the central elevator. Also, trust room service. They make a great clubhouse Sandwich.

We have stayed at this hotel many times. Experience is very good. Beds and rooms are clean. Beds and furniture need replacing. Pillows were not comfortable. Staff is friendly and courteous. Wifi was very good.

Checked in at 9:30pm. I was hoping to grab a beer and some supper. Restaurant/Lounge closes at 10:00pm. My room appeared fine at first, however the drawers in the TV stand would not stay closed. They slid open immediately after they were pushed shut. Obviously the room is not level) The king size bed was as hard as a rock and just as lumpy. Then I happened to glance behind the night stand. 2 condom wrappers. One appeared to be torn open and the other sealed. That's disgusting! This was my second stay in this hotel. The previous was not much better. The last room smelled like a gym locker. I was told the hotel had been renovated not long ago. Apparently you can put lip stick on a pig, buts it's still a pig.

I visited this hotel on Friday, March 17th, 2017 after a reservation was made on Expedia. I arrived at the hotel at approximately 1:30am, the parking lot was filled to capacity and some cars had to make their own parking spaces. I then went inside where I then spoke with the front desk agent - later identified as Emum. I was told that the specific room that was booked was not available, and that I would be upgraded to a King room at no cost. However the point of attending this hotel was to get a Jacuzzi suite, which is what was booked, otherwise I would have stayed with friends or family for my visit into Edmonton. I was further told that a refund wasn't a possibility, and if I didn't like it I could always go to another hotel elsewhere. With the time being what it was I accepted the King Room. In the morning I went to have a shower and noticed that the tub was a bit dirty with some hairs. The shower head was leaking and there was barely any hot water. I wasn't able to how a shower for this reason. Upon checking out I spoke with someone at the front desk who identified herself as a supervisor. While she did apologize for Emum's behaviors last night she made no attempt to right the wrongs which were described to her. A shower wasn't offered but instead it felt like the blame was shifted to us, as we were then asked if we called the front desk about the hot water problem. It was then left at that. Though speaking with this supervisor, she mentioned that it was a common place occurrence to not get the room that you booked and paid for, especially if you book through a third party such as expedia. Regardless there didn't seem to be any attempt to rectify this on-going issue, and there seemed to be little care about their guests problems. I can offer a few positives for this hotel. During the night it was quiet, even though I was told that the hotel was almost fully booked. The bedding and room in general was clean. That's about as much good as I can say regarding my visit to this Best Western. Overall I am disappointed that a Best Western hotel operates in this manner, and would recommend other travelers to avoid this hotel as there are a vast number of other options in the immediate area.

"Absolutely terrible experience - do not stay here"

Horrible check in experience, no towels in the room upon check in, we were going to a party and could not shower. They over charged my credit card. No parking hard, very noisy. I travel a lot, by far the worst experience ever, the hotel manager would do nothing more than correct the over charge. Several guests were at the front desk complaining about parking and no towels, but the staff did not care. We will never stay here again, the Delta is up the street way better experience.

First time here, I came up on the Red Arrow for a road trip with co-workers the next day and thought it would be convenient for them to pick me up here. The room was cold (I always find hotel rooms to be cold) but the thermostat didn't work, no display and the maintenance staff were gone for the night. No worries, they offered me another room but it was too much trouble and the very nice housekeeper brought me a space heater. Then I went to the restaurant to order some take-out. They said they would call me when it was ready. After half an hour I went to call and see if it was ready. Phone was dead, so I went down and my food had been ready 15 minutes previously. They called, no answer. Turned out the phone clip was broken so the line got pulled out of the jack, likely when someone moved the phone on the desk. Didn't think to check. The food was very good. Next morning - can't find the hair dryer - it's located on the wall next to the coffee machine, not in the bathroom, but not a problem. Very weak air flow, and after about a minute konks out altogether. Too rushed to deal with it, so I leave with damp hair. Not sure if I was just unlucky or there are maintenance issues here. Overall though, I would stay here again under the same circumstances. It was very convenient to be picked up where the bus dropped me off, and it's just off the Whitemud so very quick to get out of town and on the road. Staff are very friendly and apologetic about the glitches.

The location is handy for my needs, though not in a very walkable area. The staff was very good, and the room smelled clean. On the down side, the walls are quite thin and the room I stayed in definitely could use a spruce-up. I didn't feel very comfortable staying here and I'm not sure I will again. It's definitely functional and the price was good.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I was welcomed by staff, and hotel is a very conveniently located not too far from downtown. Hotel is very clean and rooms were newly renovated and in a good shape. My stay was short and did not use the restaurant but it looked very clean and modern. There are several restaurants located near the hotel in case one prefers to have different food each day.

Staff were great! Hotel is tired, but there are indications of improvements with construction in the lobby, etc. Room was clean with good amenities. The onsite kitchen/bar had a great eggs Bennie and the service was top notch. Will not be my first choice to return to, however would not balk at the option if required.

I and my husband went visiting our son and the location is perfect for us. It looked to me that the hotel was under renovation, they were some workers in and out. The renovation job performed at the lobby and reception area is poorly done. The two pieces stones are not lining up. I will definitely ask them to re-do the job because it's the first impression for customers. Good for the price and location.

Had to make a last minute trip to Edmonton and used Hotel.com to check for a hotel close to where my daughter lived and where I had to be the next morning. Being an repeat Best Western patron, I chose this location. Was not disappointed. They have several choices of rooms that are very reasonable priced. I chose the room with a single queen bed with fridge. Was surprised to find it also came with a jacuzzi that wasn't mentioned in the description. It has ample parking and has a great location on gateway Blvd. Just north of the Whitemud Drive. And south of White Ave.

This was my second time staying at the Best Western Cedar Park Inn in three years. The hotel did not disappoint. Just a hint: If you are noise sensitive ask for a room facing the back or bring ear plugs. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms overall are quiet and comfortable.

Unfortunately our stay at this location was not a great experience. The hotel is very dated, dull, and in many areas, somewhat dark. Our room ambiance reflected a time gone by when hotel stays Amy have been more utilitarian than comfortable, and well appointed. Even the amenities such as towels,shampoo, rinse, lotion,was so merger and with some items. Issuing, it was difficult to get the house,depo g staff to part with what they had. The lady indicated that they were not allowed to give more than one of each, despite there were two of us. Pretty much, the dinginess of the hotel seemed to mimic the staff attitude we encountered. We were supposed to get a free breakfast, as booked with Airmiles. We were told that breakfast was not included, despite the booking. No offer of any mope sat was offered. The person at the desk told us to contact Airmiles. Not the best strategy to get someone to return tot his location. On the up side, the location is very good - right off the main arteries, and close to shopping.

Cheap renovations with faucets and toilet seat falling apart in the newly renovated rooms. The face basin in the bathroom is so low, who was it made for? and you cannot have mouthwash which is not SEALED being offered to clients - who put the liquid in that container to have guests using it- don't use it! The toilet seat rattles. Comfy bed in the new renovated room but I think they tried to do too much - less is best. And the additional charges here are horrific - environmental fee and claim that all other hotels charge it ? Not! Leduc BW does not. The front staff are trying but I think the problem could be management - when a customer has a concern, don't just print off something and give staff to show the clients- get outside your office and speak with the customer! Location is convenient and possibly a reason for me to come back here.

We booked a room at the Best Western Cedar Park Inn for two nights while we were in Edmonton for a wedding. We had arrived in Edmonton fairly early in the morning and went to the Inn around 9:30 to see if we could check in early. Staff at the front desk were able to accommodate our request and we were checked in to our room shortly after arriving. The room was well equipped with a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker and a very comfortable arm chair and ottoman. Overall, our room was comfortable and I would certainly stay at the Cedar Park Inn again.

The best part about this hotel is the location although you sure don't want a room facing the road as it's very noisy. Rooms are outdated and not maintained. Carpet is dirty and worn in many places. Was hard to warm up the room as the heater took a long time to warm up the area. Cannot always get hot water either. This place is in desperate need of upgrades and there are simply Other hotels close by better for the money. I would not stay here again or r commend to anyone

the rooms was not clean, the water pressure was no good, there was no hot water had to wait 15 minutes to obtain hot water, could not regulate room temperature, room smelled like cigarettes, housekeeping could not help re smell, elevator not working and was not advised, was waiting long time before took stairs, too pricy for room service from restaurant, front desk not asking correct questions, would not recommend this hotel. will not stay here again.

I assure you that housekeeping goes and cleans the rooms before we check anyone into the room and I do apologize that the room smelled like smoke. We don't always catch it when a guest smokes in our room and I apologize that we didn't get to that before you went in. As for the elevator, we did put up signs as soon as we found out it was broken. I apologize that the broken down elevator was an inconvenience, however we did call the repair men and they came to fix the problem as soon as they could. The first room they gave me was facing a high traffic intersection and was very noisy which is unacceptable to me as I am a light sleeper. I asked to be moved so they were gracious enough to move me to an upgraded room on the 5th floor. The room was spacious, and clean , and included a fridge . Nice quiet lounge where you can enjoy a drink. Close to shopping.

Hotel room was on renovated first floor. Nice decor, bed and pillows were comfy. The only negative was that the fridge was turned off, so was useless to us during the stay. Thankfully, we did not have items that needed to be refrigerated during this particular stay.

After a long hard day I arrived at the cedar park inn late in the evening. I was extremely dissapointed when I got to my room. The toilet in my room had a fresh urine stain on the seat. Gross!! I peeled back the covers on the bed to discover a pubic hair on the sheet. I was thoroughly disgusted. The room felt old and poorly finished. I complained to the front desk and they upgraded me to a better room. The upgraded room was better but it wasn't very clean either. I found small hairs in the bathtub and the carpet hadn't been vacuumed very well. The faucet in the bathtub had extremely low pressure. I have stayed at Best Western hotels many times and usually they are fine but this one is awful. I will never be back. I had to leave and stayed somewhere else. What a hassle.

I used my points to stay in the hotel for a night. Hotel was calm and quiet. One of the Elevator was out of order but that shouldn't stop us from staying in a newly renovated hotel. Room has good decoration and comfort. Pool was enjoyable. Employees was very helpful specially "Navi", really soft spoken and welcoming. Pretty close to amenities like Walmart and Superstore, etc.

This hotel was conveniently located for all the activities which we had planned. Easy to get to anyplace we were going. Only problem was they are in the middle of renovation which I'm sure will be nice, but it does need to be finished. The lobby is very cold and unfriendly, although the front desk staff was very nice. The rooms were nice and comfortable and provided a nice night's rest. The restaurant was far below average, another cold unfinished portion of the hotel but the food was not close to average either. We had reserved balcony rooms. Weirdest balcony I've ever seen, you can cross a little barrier and travel from room to room, doesn't even seem like a safe thing. We like to sleep with our windows open so we changed rooms to be assured of some privacy.

As always, clean and comfortable but the elevator a few doors down was so noisy - especially a loud squealing - that I needed earplugs and a pillow over my head to get to sleep (I am a light sleeper). Otherwise, an enjoyable stay.

Hotel was in a good location - found it quiet even with road construction going on outside all night long. In our first room we blew a breaker that couldn't be fixed so we were moved to another room. Staff were helpful and pleasant.

Everything about this experience was awful. The service was terrible. We had to switch rooms and did not receive the balcony room that we booked. I booked our rooms 2 months prior to our stay and even called 2 days before to confirm. The second room I had booked for other family was not cleaned and they were unable to check-in until after 4:30 in the afternoon. The staff were extremely rude and unwilling to help resolve the problems. There are many hotels in that area and I will never stay at this hotel, or any Best Western again.

Please accept my apologies for your stay. We had been fully booked the night before which unfortunately means we need a bit more time to get rooms cleaned for guests. I am very sorry that you did not receive the type of room you had booked and I will be looking into this so that we make sure it does not happen again. The first room, the air conditioner was broken. The second room was missing a shelf and the flourscent bulb had no cover on it. We also had bubbles in the wallpaper all over the room. The saving grace was their three night rate made the rooms 20 dollars cheaper a night.

"Beware of double charges."

We stayed for 2 nights. When we called reservations they had 2 different rates. One rate for Friday and one rate for Saturday. When we arrived they took $100 deposit on my credit card for incidentals. That was fine but they charged a second $100 dollar charge for the Saturday. Neither have been refunded as of yet. There was no parking for us, the bathroom had black mold. The shower head came up to my husband's chest. Big fans running in the hall ways all day. You can get a much better hotel for the price.

Please accept my apologies for the confusions you dealt with during your stay. If you had two different reservations, one for Friday and one for Saturday, then we would require to take a deposit of $100 in case of damages. As for the charges being returned to you, we released our hold on it as soon as you checked out, but unfortunately it takes the banks 3-5 business days to release it on their end as well. Unfortunately we were busy this past week and so it has been a little harder to guarantee parking to everyone since we only have so many parking spaces. I am surprised to hear about the situation in the bathroom and I want to assure you that I have let the housekeeping manager know so it will be taken care of right away. Again, please accept my apologies for your stay, I hope you will give us another chance to provide you with excellent service that is expected from the Best Western Brand

When we checked in they put us in an area that you had to climb stairs to get to room, long way to go with several trips with luggage, when I asked different front desk clerk, we found out hotel was not full and they were able to move us. Maid knock on door on day 2, before we were ready to leave, we explained that we were just getting ready and would leave shortly, upon returning in evening the maid never did come back and do cleaning service. The pillows in the room are small and very soft, not comfortable at all

If you need a good place to stay in south Edmonton, I, heartily recommend the Best Western Cedar Park Inn. Our room was newly renovated and all furniture, including the bed, had been recently replaced. It's really nice staying in a room that had brand new furniture. The price for our visit was very reasonable, and we were very impressed with this property.

"Terrible experience"

We stayed at this hotel for one night. The only good thing about it is its location, if you are driving down from Calgary. The hotel itself looked rundown, the room was some what ok. The staff is either ignorant or rude. There were fliers from some local restaurants, slided underneath the door. There was a pungent smell in the hallway.

Great no disturbance peaceful hotel.Staff was excellent. rooms very tidy neat and professional. good location,check-in check out was very smooth and fast. Can be recommended to other.Parking is good.food menu was good choice.

The hotel hallway outside our room smelled like wet moldy carpet. We mentioned it twice to staff who did not offer any explanation or compensation. The room also had an odor but opening the window aired it out okay. The water pressure was too low to flush toilets properly and the solids would not go down and staff were slow to respond to our complaint. Poor temperature control in the suite (kids room) resulting the kids getting very hot overnight while asleep - set for 18 but temperature rose from 20 to 24 during the night. I would not ever stay here again unless major repairs were completed.

As well, we are in the middle of renovations which will see the carpets changed. I have let the maintenance manager know about the low pressure of the toilet as well as the A/C unit in the room. I stayed here once on business before the renovations. Renovations are not the highest quality, but have really updated this hotel since my last visit. Location on Calgary Trail at the South end of Edmonton is really handy for me. This is not a luxury hotel, but it is reasonably priced, particularly with my AMA discount. So I would say overall it is a very good value. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable. The bathtub faucet has awkward temperature control and requires some fiddling.

Easy to get to on both Gateway and Calgary trail. Check in staff are very friendly and attentive. Housekeepers smile and are polite when passing in the halls. Renovations are beautifully done. Love this hotel.

"Great central spot"

I like this hotel it is close to shopping and many places we like to go in Edmonton! Easy to get in and out and the staff is always friendly and courteous! They have bar and restaurant and so close to so many stores and restaurants, if you like walking, many in walking distance! if you prefer a bit quieter as far as street noise, do request back rooms, large metal plate on roadway at one end of front rooms and can be quite noisy when transports zoom by, but traffic is much quieter from 11pm to the early AM hours!

I travelled to Edmonton for business and my stay at the best western was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. This hotel is under new ownership and is currently being remodeled. That being said. The first room we checked into seemed just fine until the smoke detector started going off and the AC quite working. I went back to the main lobby and told the clerk about the problem. He quickly gave me a new room. The second room and no placard for the room number just some tape on the wall with the room number on it. The had to be just about kicked open due to paint build on the door and frame of the door. We got into the room to discover the thermostat had not been installed yet thus the AC was not going to work. At this point I was tired and just went to bed. the following days everytime time we used the magnetic key reader at the door, the cards kept dropping the magnetic information and had to get re-magnetized every day. The room it self was clean the bed was not to hard. Overall I would find somewhere else to stay until they are done with the remodel and they figure everything out.

"Never ever again"

We booked for the Track and Field Provincials. We specifically had asked to be on the same floor as rest of our team. She said yes, and confirmed we were. We arrived to find us scattered through the hotel. They put us on the first floor, which I cannot tell you how horrid it was. There are no numbers telling you where these rooms were. Nothing on the walls saying that first floor rooms are this way. Nope. Our room was 7 stairs for my mother who doesnt do stairs with no railing for her. The hotel door was something I cannot explain. The room was so small. The beds were lumpy and the pillows were cushions not bed pillows. There was two that didnt fill the bed. The floor was dirty that I had discovered after taking a bath. They didnt provide towels for the next day or even face cloths. We got one towel and no face cloths for day 2. No cups - nothing. The breakfast they put us downstairs and it was gross. The sausages looked like something foreign. Never, ever ever again. Too hot, too gross. I would drive further to get a better quality than to stay here again.

Quick review ... very good price because of the ongoing reno, very quiet, close to major shopping and major thorough fares for getting around the city easily, across the street from MacDonalds, Tony Romas, and Superstore. This property is of an age. The new management is taking it through a serious step change to modern European ... sleek, clean lines, cool tones, lots of tile, stone, and glass, uncluttered. Loved the cookies and lemon water at check in. Hotel clerk was friendly and efficient. Lots of parking. Close to absolutely everything. Very quiet. The noise from the VOL machines in the lounge is really annoying. The kitchen is doing the best it can under current conditions. If you have the time, go elsewhere. Lots of oriental restaurants in that end of town as well as the usual. If you are ordering draft, stick to the high volume types. Did not use the pool or exercise room so I have so no comment. Generally, I would stay there again just because the price was so good ... and to check on their progress.

"Terrible sleep"

Cons: No curtains on windows, only sheers, so the blazing lights from the shopping area across the street were streaming in the room all night. Don't book for the pool - it's tiny. Very noisy - slamming doors, screaming, shouting and running along the halls - front desk did nothing after I complained. Phone didn't work in room and was never replaced. Pros: microwave and good-sized bar fridge in room.

Must state one thing and that is that the beds were excellent. They have since updated but have the natural brick look. The hotel does appeal to large sport groups and can be noisy. Would also request a room on the back side instead of facing the street. I guess it depended on what shift was working if they remembered what you called down for.

"Very good hotel with mediocre restaurant/bar"

This place needs a real restaurant and bar. Amazing that a major renovation would not have dealt with this. Otherwise this is a very good hotel. I had to take family guests elsewhere for dinner. The location is good and reasonably accessible to the airport.

"Medical appointment"

We usually stay at the Cedar Park Inn when in Edmonton due to its location to the UofA hospital as well as to my wife's work location. They have renovated the hotel since the last stay with the most notable differences being the lobby, restaurant, and lounge. The room was ok, but not spectacular and the neighbours were loud. I guess if you want a reasonable place to stay in Edmonton this place will do.

My husband and I decided to spend a couple of nights in the city so we could do some relaxing, some shopping and other fun things. The hotel seems to have had a renovation so the building is quite bright and clean. Our room was spacious and our king bed was very, very comfortable. My only issue is that the pillows are too soft. Other than that the checkout process was pretty fast. It was easy for us to get to where we wanted to go as it is located in the south side of Edmonton and that is where most of the sites we wanted to go to are located.

"It's a dump"

We booked online with Expedia, a room with 2 queen beds for 2 adults and a dog, was told the dog $20 non- refundable which I was ok with. When we arrived at the hotel in early morning after our long travel , we did not have the dog but we were ok with not getting refunded for it. What we were upset about was that because I would of had a pet, they gave me a room that was under construction. The whole bathroom had been plastered and not painted, there was plaster dust all over the room, the baseboards along the wall was removed and in the middle of the room and the room had not been sanitized. My husband went to the desk to see the desk agent to complain and ask if there was another room that they could change us to and was told that there was another room but that the sheets on the bed would have to be changed, my husband went to visit the room with a hotel employee and the room had not been sanitized. My husband went back to the desk to request our money back as we were not going to stay there under those conditions, the agent never apologized and said that there was a room with a king bed, so he offered us that room, I would say that the room left something to be desired. What got us mad is that they charged us $140 for the night for a room that I would not even let my dog sleep in. The agent never apologized or offered a rebate or nothing for making us feel that just because we travel with a pet that we should be treated so low and made to offer your garbage rooms. I am very insulted. I will never go to this hotel again and I will also post this on social media. The rooms were so bad that I took pictures and will be posting them of how bad the room are.

"Service Good, Room terrible."

Reserved an executive king suite but received a queen Jacuzzi room. Room given was to small as was the bed and asked for a King bed. The suite we reserved was under renos but we were not advised or asked if something else would be better. Staff were professional and polite but should pay more attention to details. The room we finally were given had a king bed but was still being cleaned, so not ready...after settling in we realized it was very warm so we tried to adjust a/c but the thermostat was locked.No air blowing in from vent and the temp was increasing. 2 staff checked then advised us that there are no maintenance staff working. WHY? So we had to open window all night and listen to noisy city traffic all night. Finishes from renos were terrible. Very shoddy work. Crown moulding missing, door jagged from being trimmed. My romantic weekend wasn't as I had planned and hoped for.

"Renovations are nearly complete"

This is a great little hotel. It is near major roads so you can access all parts of the cities. There are many dining options near by. The room on the 5th (top) floor was quiet and newly renovated. I found the bathroom counter to be lower which is great for children but may be an annoyance to tall people.

"Moderate Hotel"

We had to stay at this hotel for one night while our home was getting some work done to it. The front desk staff were very friendly and they upgraded our room for us. The room was generally clean except for some black hairs in the bedding and it looked like the previous person had spilled coffee down the side of the bed skirt. The bathroom and the rest of the room was clean. The main thing that would stop me from staying at this hotel was how loud the traffic was during the night. This was in no way the hotels fault but it did cause me to get very little sleep. We stayed on the southside of the building and we could hear extremely loud cars racing back and forth during most of the night. Regular traffic nose was not a problem though. Overall the hotel was okay; however, the traffic noise was a problem.

There was no mention of construction when booking. Every piece of gym equipment was broken, the was kind of soapy scum floating on the pool. The hallways were so dark you couldn't tell if the carpet was filthy or if it was just a dark colour. The duvet cover was dirty and wasn't changed. The hallways and new doors look like something you would see in a institution

We stayed for 2 nights in late March. Our room was above average! Customer service was good. They were in the final stages of construction so the restaurant / lounge was not quite complete with some ceiling work and fixtures to complete installation. But setting that aside the food was very good and affordable! There was convenient and ample parking while we were there. Overall I would recommend the place to friends.

I live 3 hours from Edmonton,and monday at midnight , my husband had a health emergency and we were told to get him to U of A hospital that night. After being in the ER for several hours, he was admitted to,the hospital. I don't know Edmonton that well and at 630 am I find myself needing A hotel and stumbled across this one. They had a room and told me even tho it was 630 am I had to pay a fullnight rate. That was fine . I expected that. I probably looked like the wreck I was and they said if I had someone in hospital and if I had this in writing from hospital, they could reduce my rate. Good deal. Ended up staying there three nights before he was discharged. I tried to get written verification, but hard to track down a doctor and when they came in a team of six, they came and went quickly , and with all the info they were giving us, I didn't want to interrupt them for a hotel discount. Asked nurse and she couldn't sign and said to ask admissions and lady there couldn't sign. So I took a picture of his hospital bracelet and showed to desk clerk. Desk clerk said they needed this in writing but did agree to giving me Their discount which was thirty dollars off a night. Fantastic When I went to checkout the next morning, and noticed my statement gave me the reduction on first and third night But not second night . So I asked new desk clerk and explained to him and he said nothing showed on file and it has to be in writing etc etc I was on my last nerve, started to cry and said just forget it and walked away. He called after me but I had to keep going . So would I stay there again? Probably not as they didn't honor what they had offered me Hotel was clean, rooms large , well equipped, comfortable bed. No restaurant but lounge had a full menu. Eleven minutes from the hospital If anyone finds them self in a similar situation, make sure you get something in writing from referring doctor before you get to the hospital. We never thought of that being we were in such a panic to get there

"Won't stay here again...!"

Stayed here for a week for work as my company had it listed on their approved hotel list. Check in was seamless. Roomss.... 1st room I checked in was very hot on the 4 th floor. I unpacked turned down the thermostat and went for dinner. Upon my return, I came into my room finding it still at 24 degrees. Checked and the a/c had not cut in. I called the front desk and they advised me to check the dial on the a/c unit. I stated I had and it was not coming on. The front desk attendant stated he would send someone up. A few minutes later a knock at the door finding a lady with room keys for another room on same floor. I packed up and moved to room number 2. This room was equally as hot at 24 however the a/c fan seemed to come on at least. I turned down the thermostat to 19 and went to sleep. Overnight the room did not cool at all. Next day same thing, room did not cool down. I checked with other co workers staying here in different rooms, however, they also had similar complaints with heat so I never bothered to try another room. Cleaning staff came in however did not replenish the small things like mouthwash etc in my bathroom. Overall hotel is in expensive, but glad I didn't bring family here... We will be advising our company to take hotel off of the approved list...!

"Clean and Friendly Staff"

The hotel is undergoing some renovations. The rooms we had were updated and clean. I liked some of the retro 60's items they kept, like the wall unit in the bathroom! There were a few rough items in the room, for example the fridge had a huge dent in the door and there was the residue of a sticker someone had put on the door. The bathroom door was poorly painted (you could see all the rough areas where paint had peeled away and they did not sand before repainting). However overall the hotel was good. We had breakfast in the morning and unfortunately we could not charge the bill to our room, which was inconvenient. The server that morning was very busy and worked hard to keep the diners happy.

"Nice hotel"

Hotel was nice enough, customer satisfaction could use work. Booked stay with air miles and hotel was unwilling to honour the confirmation which said breakfast was included...one of the main reasons I booked this hotel as I was travelling with a party of four. Since we were already in edmonton and the airmiles were used we were at the mercy of the hotels management. Room was good, avoid stairwells--not clean and quite dark. Location was fine easy access to everything we needed and many restaurants close by. I will not stay here again due to the breakfast issue and there are many other choices near by.

My son and I recently stayed at this hotel and I was beyond disappointed and I'm not one to complain. First off, we came home with strange bites and was told this hotel has had bed bugs before. So I suspect that hasn't been rectified! The pool was disgusting - after my son's first dip, he was throwing up a couple of hours later. The next morning we checked the pool and the water was murky and there was a film over top! Unacceptable. Instead of dealing with it, we were told that's just how it is. The front desk staff were incredibly rude - to everyone. If there was an issue, they couldn't be bothered to do anything about it. The rooms were dirty. Upon checking in, there was dirt all over the floor and garbage still left in there. The only thing I could say is that I was satisfied with the staff in the restaurants. They were very pleasant. I will never stay here again and have warned friends and family. I am easy to please but this hotel was filthy!

Was a great value for a quick overnight stay. Rooms were comfortable and hotel was generally quiet; noise from TV and guest next door wasn't desirable. For south side Edmonton this hotel is a good option as most others in the area are right adjacent to major routes and hence noisy. While I prefer to stay downtown I'd stay here again given similar circumstances.

"Nightmare on Gateway Boulevard!"

My family and I chose this hotel for its close proximity to the Edmonton Hospitals. Although the rooms are dated they are clean and comfortable, with not much to complain about aside from an exposed pipe at the corner of the room- easily forgotten. We were satisfied with our experience until the door between our adjoined rooms was closed by a gust of wind- with a four month old baby trapped inside of the room by herself! Normally, you would just request another key, however the door was latched, providing no way of getting through the door. The conjoining doors had no door knobs or access either. We called maintenance, who admitted they didn't have a toolbox and instead ran and got PIE CUTTERS and a BUTTER KNIFE!!!! They then disappeared for about 45 minutes, stating they were "Looking into it." Finally we called the fire department who came and opened the door with a bolt cutters, naturally. Two seconds later, maintenance shows up with bolt cutters- just after the firemen opened the door already. It literally took 3 minutes from the end of the call for the professionals and 45 minutes for the hotel to figure out that bolt cutters can open up doors... I will let you decide for yourself, if you want to stay here. Keep in mind though, if you choose to stay here- don't trust trust the staff to be able to handle normal situations- DO IT YOURSELF.

"Worst Stay Ever! Will NEVER stay in a bug ridden hotel again!!"

Stayed with a sports team, We got a dirty room when we check in, asked to move to another room but they were "full" so could not move us. not one offer to clean the room for us, Garbage beside the bed, hair in the bathroom.. thats not all.. we had to go to a late game that night so we just grabbed our gear and left. we came back and of course nothing was cleaned (didn't expect it). went to go to bed that night and when we pulled the sheets back we saw little specks of blood on the sheets. looked more and found bed bugs. I called the front desk livid at about 930pm. They offered to move us into a Room that they mysteriously found since they told me earlier they were "full' We of course did not move rooms, we left the hotel. Had to leave our bags in the back of our truck that night and take stuff to the laundry place to get cleaned. I asked for a manager to call me back and no one ever has. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone ever. I will be making sure that our board of directors for the sports league black lists this hotel!! AWFUL!!!

Strange layout at reception and the building seems very out of date. Room beds very saggy and mould and rust in bathrooms. Whole building seemed worn out. Parking lot full of potholes. Please just dies not have a good feel to it and the bar was quite a depressing area.

We were going to stay here using our BW points and now we know why it was so cheap. The hotel is dirty and our room was not the room I booked online it was tiny. It had a jacuzzi but no way I was going to use it. We got off the elevator on our floor to garbage everywhere. So gross. I went to front desk to get the room I booked but the attitudes of the front desk staff made us decided enough was enough and told them we weren't staying there and would like our points redeemed, considering our actual room wasn't even ready after 4 (which is the check in). So we called south edmonton best western, got a room in a cleaner hotel and the front desk staff at south edmonton are way more helpful and understanding. Plus they upgraded us for free. I will be writing them a way better review than this hotel. Will never consider staying here again it's not worth it.

This Hotel was very easy to find and had excellent room rates. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful with all our questions in regards to close by attractions. It does look a little out dated but the room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. I will stay again for sure.

There is a sign saying renovation is underway and the lobby has changed from the last time we visited, it is brighter than before. Aaron upgraded us to a newly renovated room, and that is beautiful and comfortable with everything new. The housekeepers and Keith all greeted us and asked us how's everything. it was the Best Western WORST STAY EVER. First room too hot no view unless you like looking and listening to a loud heater. Aside from deteriorating bed and the lack of anything nice the place was a rat place. Moved to new renovated room we've got... still too noisy too loud furnace sound. the taps are backward hot/cold. shower taps are loose not installed properly.

The hotel is under renovations but we had no complaints with anything. The bed was very comfortable. Great location and the staff was very friendly at checkin and checkout. We went to the lounge for a drink while we waited for our friends to arrive and the staff was great too.

I've stayed at diff. BW hotel in alberta. I would say this hotel is the worst when it comes to providing a good service. I didn't even see the 2 front desk agent smiled to greet. No free breakfast offered. I understand that they are undergoing maintenance on the property and i must say that they made the room nice but i wasn't informed that they don't have local cable available neither. The only option was to watch a paid movie. The exhaust fan in the washroom seems very old and noisy. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my friends.

"Mixed Feelings"

Have stayed here multiple times in the past. Before the renovations it was an affordable and great place to stay. The decor and rooms were outdated, but the hot breakfast buffet was fantastic...bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes, home fries etc., and service great! Now with the renovations happening, I have found a lot of things have gone down hill. -The breakfast is now basically a normal continental breakfast with the addition of bacon and a pre-made frozen omelette. They have also added a waffle maker to the mix, which if it's not busy, great to have fresh waffles, but if there is a lot of people eating breakfast, you'll have to wait. -In my recent stay, my tv didn't work. I was one of the lucky ones that was able to switch rooms as I did not need to be in a double occupancy room. -Hallways are still messy and have equipment everywhere...yet the nightly room rate has gone up. In other hotels that I have stayed in where renovations are happening, usually the nightly room rates are lowered to offset the mess and disruptions. This has not been the case. -Water pressure in the showers are non-existent. If you happen to shower during peak times, good luck in getting hot water. -On a recent stay, I was instructed by our company to pay for it on my credit card and then get reimbursed. Our company did submit their credit card on file when they first set up the booking and notified the hotel staff that each person staying there will be paying on their own credit card. When I proceeded to check out, the hotel employee argued with me that I was not to pay for it on my card, but it would be charged to the card on file. I mentioned to him that I have specific instructions that I was to charge it to my card, but he continued to tell me that I was wrong. I finally got fed up and let him charge the company card. -If you're in a two queen bed room, and have the new furniture in it, you'll find it very cramp as the new furniture is wider and longer than the older furniture and thus leaving very little room to walk around or even sit back in the "reclining" office chair they have in the room. Overall, it will be interesting to see what the hotel will be like after renovations, both from the service, food and price point.

My pastor association had a seminar at Edmonton for 2 days. I booked 14rooms with this hotel. Hotel is under renovation so It was little bit noisy other than that our entire group was happy to stay there. Location is great. We stayed at 4th floor which is done for renovation. I could see there are few minor thing still need to improve but we were quite happy to stay with this hotel. I like to give special thanks to manager steve. He taken care of my group from check in to check out, from early morning to late at night. I like to see this hotel goes to success.

"Very mixed feelings, and probably would not recommend"

This is a bit of a combined review, as my husband was more disappointed than I, and would rate as a 1. First - and most important - I think if a hotel is going to be under MAJOR renovations, to the point where it really affects functionality, it should offer a discount. On the plus side - the bed was very comfortable (both the bed itself and the lovely linens), room temperature was fine, the bathroom had new fixtures, and the service in the restaurant was really, really good. Negatives - pretty much everything else. I think the tone of our stay was epitomized by our experience in the restaurant - where it was in the midst of a renovation and looked a mess. I sat in a chair that felt wobbly and perhaps should of known better - when I reached down to pull my seat up I pinched my hand between the loose leg and seat and ended up bleeding all over the place. Here is where the service comes in - all three gentlemen in the restaurant were very kind and concerned, offered me first aid, apologized profusely, and gave me a free dessert. I was completely satisfied with their response to my injury, and their solicitous service throughout dinner. The food was incredibly mediocre, but the chef came out to speak to us and I told him it was lovely because he seemed very nice and I didn't want to hurt his feelings ;-) But the room! Oh my goodness...they said they "upgraded' us to a renovated room, and if this information was indeed correct, they should be asking their contractor for some money back. The ceiling was a MESS of patchwork repairs and stucco gobbed on top, the fixtures in the bathroom were so loose that water is definitely going to seep in behind and ruin the drywall in no time at all (seriously - have a look before you pay the guys. My husband is in a similar field and spotted this in no time). The bathroom door was scarred, peeled and patched, so it looked pretty tacky. These visual distractions are why hubby would score this a "1". There was also the most unbelievable noise that continued until about 10:00 pm. We THINK it was renovation noise...perhaps a mitre saw or power drill? I suppose it could also have been plumbing or elevator - but if so the aforementioned appliance is possessed by unhappy spirits. And the room vent let us hear every unhealthy cough and hack of the gentleman next door! Breakfast was your typical "brought in on a truck" sort of continental, but was offered in an inaccessible basement room down a flight of stairs (so I guess handicapped people don't get to eat?), and that room was full of renovation materials, spare chairs and tables, etc. I would have been much more professional to offer this breakfast at LEAST in the main floor restaurant area. But, you know, thank god for the Raisin Bran, because apparently they won't be offering complimentary breakfast after this week, once the restaurant "officially" opens. We hoped to unwind in the pool area, and will confess we didn't actually try it. There is no hot tub, and the area itself was so dismal and dreary that it put us off and we decided to go upstairs and just watch some TV instead. Hubby attempted a bath, but with no water pressure he ran out of patience and gave up. I should say that the room WAS very clean, but if I had been planning a stay of longer than one night I would have checked out early. I travel to Edmonton for work and pleasure several weeks a year, and thought I would try this hotel to see if it was a possibility for future trips. Unfortunately, I have no plans to return.

"An error in judgement"

The hotel was in a state of renovation. I knew that in advance and was not majorly inconvenienced by it. The room was cramped with excessive furniture and overheated. The bathroom was uncomfortable. The elevators slow. No elevator service to lower level for breakfast service. Overall not handicapped friendly in my opinion. The breakfast was a disaster. Unattended, absence of food, requests ignored. I cannot recommend this hotel.

"Great hotel, Great location"

This is a great hotel: nice clean room, good service, and good hot breakfast. The location is ideal to go in most places in Edmonton (but you need a car - if you don't have a car, go to a hotel on White avenue or downtown instead). Though located in between Calgary Trail and Gateway Boulevard, the rooms are very quiet (they did a good job on sound insulation) and we had great nights of sleep.

"Not very receptive to client's request"

We had an overnight stay in this hotel (January 22, 2016, checking out the next day). The hotel was under full renovation including lobby and public space at that time but still accepted booking. We requested a more quiet room but the hotel gave us a first floor room adjacent to the parking stall (located just outside our window). In this room we could hear people talking and shouting, children crying up until past midnight. There were also barking dogs in a room near us, maybe two doors to our right. We are allergic to animal fur and this was an unpleasant surprise. We did not know that this hotel allows pet inside the room. Nothing against these animals but we were not informed that it is how they operate. We could just have picked another hotel where we can find a proper spot where we can take care of our health. We hardly had a wink of sleep and we started coughing intermittently until we finally decided to wake up. As far as cleanliness, it's average to good. Booked spa suite for two nights, room dirty, needed redoing g, rugs, walls, upgrading. JACUZZI took one hour to fill, out of hit water. Reported, little action. Kept 2nd day, then out. Poor compensation, little done. Not a way BEST WESTERN, should be. Have been there before, not impressed. Return, not likely. BEST WESTERN you let me down. CLIFF.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times over the years and it has really come a long way! They are still doing renovations, but the 4th and 5th floors are complete and are absolutely BEAUTIFUL! We stayed on the 4th floor and the decor is modern, all the furnishings/carpet/beds are all brand new and elegant. The room was comfortable and spacious. The restaurant is only open for breakfast at the moment, but they do have a deluxe continental which had omelets, sausage and your standard breakfast items as well as a waffle station with fruit and whipped cream. The hotel is close to South Common shopping center and the staff is very helpful.

The temperature in our room was 12 C all the time. We practically froze. We received space heaters, but they tripped the breaker. They did give us a break on the bill, but should of got our night for free in my opinion

Older hotel, but fully updated inside. Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, standard hot/cold breakfast. Perfect for travellers who want a comfortable place to stay with a nice complimentary breakfast. Close to Tim Hortons, Real Canadian Superstore and lots of restaurants.

"Was a good hotel...once"

A typical 50 year old hotel that is being refurbished while still staying opened. The restaurant was closed, it was noisy. There were wires everywhere. The drawers would not stay shut. On the good side it's location is great and the staff were very pleasant.

I always like to stay at Cedar Park Inn Great location where you can find everything ones needs as far as shopping, restaurants etc... and great staff every time I have been there, even the maids have great big smiles A bit older but clean and some parts are being renovated so will be tip top at some point, I never heard any noise from renovations so a good thing!

"Decent for price"

This hotel is under construction but there are signs posted in the lobby advising of this. The room had a slight odor but was otherwise clean, the bed fairly comfortable. The Wi-Fi worked without issue, and parking was provided. I found the staff friendly, and the one night stay rate was reasonable. I would stay here again.

The hotel was under renovations but staff tried the best they could to work around the situation. All staff extremely friendly. No offer a breakfast which had we known ahead of time would not have made other breakfast plans.

even though the hotel was being worked on it was very clean. the staff were pleasant. the room was nice. it is close to a few restaurants which is good. I would stay here again. the area is nice as well. it is close to the university so if you have things going on there you have quick access there.

"Lost and found disappointment"

Even with the construction overall the stay was alright. Our family room suited us very well. Our disappointment came when We left an item behind in our room and called within a couple hours after check out and realizing we didn't have it. We were told we could come back and look however we would not get there until the afternoon due to the reasons we were in the city. Sad part is they "never found it". We are certain it was left there as we went to take it out of our vehicle at our destination and it wasn't there.

Everywhere is construction. Really should be cheaper. OK room. Thought I smelt smoke this morning. Breakfast is good. Easy to get late check out. Pool was chilly. For some reason I thought there was a hot tub. FYI I was wrong. Get to breakfast before 9:30 - already out of bacon. Overall decent. Points lowered for construction and having only 1 front desk staff.. and breakfast really could go to noon on Sunday but does anyone do that?

The hotel is about a 15-20 minute drive to the downtown area, conveniently located between the downtown area and the airport. That was a big plus for me. The room was just right, and the hot breakfast had plenty of options. The staff was very friendly.

"Warm and friendly"

Loved this Hotel! The rooms were freshly renovated and I especially thought the bathroom (with completely everything new) was so modern and beautiful. The Hot breakfast was such a pleasant surprise and we ate there all three mornings. We were travelling from B.C......... so it felt great to arrive here after a 10 hour drive through the Rockies and just relax. We also found the front staff to be warm and friendly. We will make sure we stay here again next time we are in town.

Got into town as a last minute trip, they were the only place left that had availability for me, they treated me well and it turns out my company gets a corporate rate there. "Just what we needed"

We were going to two different venues in Edmonton, on two different days. This hotel gave us easy access to both. The front staff was helpful and allowed us a later check out when we asked. The room attendants friendly, as was the front desk. They were renovating the hotel and apologized for the appearance. They explained what the final result would be. I would go back there again. Even had a hot breakfast included in the price..

We stayed here for 1 night with my family. The staff are friendly though we arrived really late from a long drive. They assist and they give the thing we asked in our reservation. The rooms are huge and very comfortable bed,clean and organize. The location is perfect, easy to find and near in some tourist activities.

"Price is Right!"

I have stayed at this hotel a few times and you won't find a nice hotel in this price range in Edmonton! It is minutes away from the South Common shopping center/outlet malls and is only $100 a night. There is a free breakfast buffet (with omelets, sausage, waffles, etc) as well as a pool. The rooms are beautiful as they have been recently renovated. The entire hotel is presently being renovated and will be even better once its finished. This is my new go-to hotel in Edmonton! Staff was helpful and location was great. I liked the location the most as it was central to everywhere I needed to go. Clean rooms and a great brand new elevator located near the room I stayed in. Lots of parking, shopping and restaurants across the street.

"Pointless city and hotel"

If you are going there, I have to questions: 1) why are you going to Edmonton? There is nothing to do there! I swear... Nothing!! And unless you're driving, everything will be far or demanding at least two buses, as much as the counter girl suggested me to take a taxi instead. Besides, its location is also not easily reachable to the airport ($40 at least)! Second question: if you really want to go to Edmonton, why stay in this place? No reason! No reason AT ALL. The carpet was so dirty that I found women objects on the floor, which clearly shows that it's not vacuumed at all. The room is big enough but I stayed in the one faced to the parking lot, which you can imagine the sound, the lights and everything bad about it. Besides, walls are very very very thin and you can hear them using toilette, shower, etc. When they use toilette, it looks they are inside your room! Just bizarre!!! At last, the worst staff I ever found! When I checked in, I asked for a map, the woman said they didn't have one and asked where I wanted to go: I said, I didn't know yet what we had to see around in Edmonton and asked for a recommendation... She nicely suggested me to google it! But the cherry on the cake was on the checkout day, when I had previously been allowed to have a late checkout (12AM instead of 11AM), but at eleven o'clock, when I was in the SHOWER, a men knocked Insistently on the door and I screamed from the bathroom to the man not get into the room and the guy started asking when I was going to leave, at what time I'd be done!!! Come on I was in the shower and he was in the room!!!! Have you ever seen something like that? I hadn't... So far! You deserve better than this! Believe me!

Overall, our stay was so smooth that we didn't notice much about the hotel. That's praise, not a put-down. It takes a lot of work to be good without the work showing. We wanted a quiet break, and that's what we got. I have the feeling that they could fuss over people who wanted that sort of thing, but they're good at letting you be.

Stayed in May 2015. Pros: - Close to South Edmonton Commons - Easy to navigate to - Free parking - Decently priced - Clean Cons: - Room had no heat - Large water stain on the ceiling - Room is dated looking, especially with the brick wall - No continental breakfast - Parking spaces were limited at the time of our stay - Slow wi-fi Details: It was chilly on the last night so we turned on the heat, but nothing happened. When we called down to the front desk, they said it takes a while. After waiting a while we called down again saying there was no heat in the room. Maintenance came up and checked the thermostat. He wasn't particularly friendly and we were told again that the heat takes a while to come on. It never did. We called down and finally they brought up a space heater. We opted for the space heater rather than changing rooms since it was our last night. Front desk offered to provide us breakfast while we were checking out, but since we had to leave we didn't accept. It would've been nice had they offered when we kept calling originally so that we could adjust our schedule. I would stay here again, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

This was a very good value for the price we paid : $96 for one night with my Best Western card. The room keys didn't work twice when we arrived but then the receptionist came back with us to the room and fixed the problem. The pool was very nice and the rooms were clean and very comfortable. The service was very good.

It's important to stress that for my family & I, our two-night experience in the two rooms we stayed in was very good. Better than average hotel on a main thorough fare. It is easy to locate and the staff is always pleasant. It is economical and suitable for a business traveller. It was undergoing renovations so the outside of the building was a bit of a mess but inside it was very nice.

Did not tell me about the internet or the lounge or if the hotel had any amenities. I went up to the desk where they were chatting with other staff. Waited for them to finish with their conversation then he asked for my ID and Credit Card confirmed for two nights and NOTHING ELSE. really poor attitude. But because of the price might stay there again.

This is just as important to use for our improvement as our renovations are, and I apologise that their demeanor did not meet your expectations. "Terrible, definitely not the "Best""

Although renovations have been started at this hotel our room was definitely not. We had mildew on the ceiling in the bathroom, the shower head was disgusting, the sink did not drain, the dresser was broken, the mirror was broken, and the fridge was full of dents. I have honestly never done a review like this before but I was so dissatisfied I thought I would let others know. I have stayed in many other old hotels before that were still presentable but in my opinion my room should not have been rented out until totally redone. There is no excuse for renting a room that has visible mildew in it!

Our rooms currently are under renovation, but we do not yet have any renovated rooms available for sale. We are anticipating that our first renovated rooms will be available by the beginning of November. "Bed Bugs"

I recently stayed at this hotel with a realative for an Edmonton event. I travelled from Calgary and he travelled from Fort McMurray. I recommended this hotel as I had stayed there in the past for work travel as an alternative when my preferred hotel was booked to capacity. A day after I got home from the event I notced I had a weird rash on areas of my body. My back, my arms and my neck. Later that day I recieved a text from my relative who stayed there as well ask me if I had any weird looking bites or rashes as he had them too. It's too much of a coincidence that we both got them at the same time after staying at the same hotel. We had the same conclusion that there must have been bed bugs. Will be reaching out to the hotel to let them know.

My only suggestion in the future is please contact me immediately if you have a suspicion about rashes or bugs so we can identify and deal with it in the moment. Though it may do little for you now, I can assure you that we have a very aggressive preventative pest control program, and during our weekly inspections in the month of September we've had no confirmed sightings of activity with bed bugs or any other kind of pest in our rooms. Please don't feel like I'm accusing you of anything. I would still love to speak to you directly and find out if we can identify the source of your ills so that we can ensure no other guests have to go through the same thing, regardless of its source. "good but needs renovation"

This is still a good hotel, but definitely needs renovation. All four days I stayed there, the room was very nicely maintained and kept clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable and having four (!) pillows for myself I had no problem to sleep well. The hotel is well situated to have not too expensive (about $40) connections with the airport, and with the rest of the city. There is the bus stop for the bus #6 almost at the entrance to the hotel, which goes to the big transit hub with good connection to the whole city. The hotel's restaurant is good, but a bit too expensive, but there is plenty of good restaurants within a walking distance from the hotel.

"close to dining & shopping"

This hotel is being renovated. The elevator and doors to the halls containing suites require the use of your room key. There is a variety of restaurants at all price points in the area. Lots of shopping near by but would be required to drive there.
