I stayed at this hotel for a week and would say the stay was very quiet and I received great service. The rooms were nice and clean with comfortable beds. There was a nice sized mini fridge and a microwave. This hotel is in a great location with Applebees, Starbucks, and Taco Bell located directly in front of the hotel as well as a gas station. The complementary breakfast was really really good. They had sausage patties, potatoes, eggs, pastries, a waffle maker with toppings as well as coffee, milk and juice. The breakfast tenant did an excellent job with keeping it fully stocked.
I didn't like the fact that my pet couldn't come out the room if I wanted to use the exercise room or pool area for at least 30 minutes. I had left a day earlier because I wasn't completely satisfied overall during my stay. The room was musty and the bed felt damp like they didn't let the sheets dry long enough. When I was already home a day later the young man from the front desk called stating someone was complaining about my dog and I informed him that we had already left the hotel a day prior and was already home and he finally had to say he was sorry for the phone call.
Comfortable, quiet stay. Friendly, accommodating staff. Ample, safe parking. Shares a parking lot with a gas station which was convenient. Breakfast was adequate, though 6-9 am on a leisure stay is not, requiring many to rush down at 8:45 to be able to grab final food. Note no elevator at this hotel.
My families stay was comfortable and relaxing. The beds were comfortable and breakfast was hot and delicious every morning. The staff provided great service and made sure my stay was great.
Shelly went above and beyond to get us to choose this hotel when we were calling around to different ones. She assured us she would check the room for cleanliness and that the room would be super clean- something we were very concerned a out since we had problems with that at the previous hotel the night before.
The staff went the extra friendly mile for us- arranging a room to meet our requirements, warm pool area, warm room. All great after coming in from the chill. The decor, especially in the pool area was very cutely done. We appreciate the tropical look.
Service was great!! Rooms were nice and clean! Breakfast options were really great and cooks did a great job keeping things replenished. We could definitely see a great sense of teamwork among the manger and staff! The manager, Sheena got us an early check-in and late check out! A very well managed establishment! Definitely got our money's worth!
The check in staff was helpful and friendly to me. I do wish they had an elevator but at least it was only one flight of stairs. I really liked the jetted tub in my room. There were many restaurants nearby to choose from and I got a discount at them. I liked that there is also a comfortable chair for me to work in.
The hotel was in a good location and close to restaurants. Plenty of parking for our trucks and trailers. The breakfast was hot and fresh. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful to our crew. We highly recommend this place.
I had a block of 10 rooms reserved at this hotel for a convention I was hosting next April 2024. When the manager found out about the eclipse activity in April, she called me to say they had made a clerical error and had no rooms available for us even though I had written confirmation and guarantees with a credit card. In actuality, she found out she could triple the cost of each room so our group was out. Greediness outweighed integrity. We have filed a complaint with BBB and the state attorney generals office.
This hotel is clean and convenient. There's a pool. They allow pets. There was a hot breakfast served. The owners were very nice. The front desk clerk was helpful. There are lots of restaurants nearby.
Sheena AT THE FRONT desk and shane at the breakfast bar were fantastic and deserve a raise!! The entire staff was amazing and made our stay extremely pleasurable! I would highly recommend staying here!
WARNING! Stay with caution. We are avid hotel goers, a lot of those stays are spent at Best Western. I go for work, we like to take our kiddos on the weekends to new places. We are avid travelers. Usually Best Western is a safe bet for friendliness, cleanliness and a good nights sleep! We were disappointed in our room, we paid the higher fee for a jacuzzi tub, it was broken and the water only came out of the shower which was not fun with the baby. Our bathroom was dirty, there was feces and blood on the wall by the toilet, no towels except for the dirty one on the floor. The shampoo bottles were used and crumbled on the counter. The floors were very dirty, room smelled of mildew so strongly, and the walls are paper thin. We were at the end of the hall on the 2nd (top floor) so there shouldn't have been much noise but we heard people fighting, an infant screaming all night and some other night time activities of what sound like a couple couples having fun. The gym was dirty and the door was broken so the humidity from the pool went into the room and was overwhelming. I talked with another couple in the pool who were there for two nights and were moving to another hotel because it had been so bad. 2 other separate families were complaining at breakfast as well. I understand things happen and nobody or place is perfect, it was a very bad stay, I wouldn't have even left the review if there hadn't been 3 other separate people staying with similar complaints. Plus the man checking in was not friendly at all.
Besides being neat, clean and comfortable, the staff is amazing. This review wants 200 characters but I've said everything that describes our stay. Apparently, I didn't type 200 characters and had to add this.
The rooms are very clean and neat. Breakfast is area is well kept, friendly service and good food. Parking is real tight, not much room in the lot. Nice pool area. Could use more exercise equipment however at least they have something.
Easy to find, located right on the highway. The staff were friendly. The breakfast food was okay but barely warm. I found hair on the bathroom floor upon our arrival. I'm sure the maids are rushed but that bothered me.
Great basic, comfortable hotel. A bit dated but clean and met our needs for an overnight stay on our road trip. Easy access right off the highway with several restaurants in walking distance. Overall a great value for the cost.
We needed a pet friendly hotel with our dog. Room was carpeted which was not ideal for dogs. The room was close to the outside door and there was a small field for pets which was nice. Unfortunately the back door did not lock so anyone could walk into the hotel. Staff were very nice and helpful
I was pleasantly surprised at the accommodations. Reasonable priced, clean, very friendly staff and especially pleasant front desk check employee Sheena! I'm changing from Hampton Inn to this location for future stays!
This hotel is located very close to the interstate with many chain restaurants in the area. The hotel itself was very clean. We had a large king bed that was very comfortable. The indoor poor was great as was the morning breakfast. The only downside was no elevator so we has to schlep our stuff up to the second floor. “Sheena” at the front desk was very sweet and helpful.
Quiet, comfortable and conveniently located near restaurants close to the interstate. Stayed with family as we were passing through; adults and young children. Our rooms were on the first floor and were quiet. Would stay here again if in the area again.
Hotel is clean. Convenient to restaurants and shopping. Staff is professional and friendly. Without being fake. Bedding was so comfortable. All the pillows was heavenly. Plus major brownie points for allowing pets.
I stayed at this for for a week for my business trip and it's a hidden jam. It's located right off the 65 and behind taco bell. The hotel looks like it went through recent remodel. All the staff are very nice and accommodating. Pool os very nice and clean. Lot restaurants near by. Prices are very reasonable.
We travel alot to this area. While we were there No clean or dry towels. Had to ask the front desk every day for some. And had to take out the trash everyday. They only cleaned our room 1 time while we where there We were there 7 days. When taking a shower the light would good off and almost fell a few times because it was too dark in the bathroom. The staff was not very friendly either. Never asked us if we needed anything or how was is your room ect!! Not coming back to this hotel.
Room was one of the best we have ever stayed in for any motel. Quiet room was near the office, ice machine, office, and breakfast bar. Room looked and felt brand new. Location off of the interstate was great. Restaurants and gas stations nearby.
Sheena and her staff always go above and beyond. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend it. This was our sixth year in a row staying there each time for three nights. It's also located right by I-65.
The hotel was clean, staff was friendly, close to restaurants and shopping, and a good price for others in the surrounding area. Would definitely stay again. Breakfast was also available, not alot of options but was fine for a quick grab and go.
I stayed in a King room thought the room was much cleaner and nicer than I was expecting. It seemed fairly modern so it must have been remodeled recently. Everything worked fine and I had no problems. Also the hotel is across the parking lot from an Applebees and a Taco Bell. I don't know what more you could ask for. All staff I encountered were pleasant and accomodating. I don't know what happened to hotel prices recently. I thought the room cost was quite high but it was one of the lesser cost rooms in the area.
Our room was nice and clean. Great price for the room in this area. Other hotels were a lot more expensive. Will definitely be using this hotel again when we are down here in a month for another trip. Already booked my 2 night stay!
We stay at this hotel couple times a year. We always get treated so well. Everyone that works here are awesome. Hot breakfast is served daily. Lots of restaurants near by. Rooms were very clean. Great pool very clean. We will return next spring.
This Best Western was very clean and has a kind and friendly staff. It is conveniently located across from the Edinburgh Outlet Mall, with lots of eating places close by. The value is equal to the price.
It is an older hotel, no elevator. we were put on the 2nd floor all the way down the hall not sure why don't think it was full. It was clean, close to restaurants and an outlet mall. The morning staff was friendlier than the person on duty when we checked in
This hotel was ok for 1-2 nights. Room was clean. Breakfast was typical, average quality continental. You drive in the back of the hotel which is dark and every night had 4-5 people smoking in a very dark corner. Somewhat creepy. Cleaning staff very loud in morning.
We had friends get together and met midway at this hotel. The hotel is right of 65 highway. We were greeted but very friendly front desk person. The rooms are very nice and updated. Lot restaurants near by. Pool room is very nice. They serve hot breakfast as well
I pick Best Westerns for consistency and price, but this one didn't meet the normal standards. Walls are thin and toilet paper thinner. Our coffee pot couldn't be used because the tray to hold the packets was missing. (I told a housekeeper, but he couldn't understand me.) Do the sprinklers work? Not sure (see photos; I was unable to upload the photos it seems). Hair on bathroom wall. Temperature hard to regulate because it's a window/wall unit. So it was either too hot or too cold. No extra pillows or blankets in room. But worst, there is NO ELEVATOR. Had I known, I would have either requested a handicap room or booked somewhere else. My 75-year-old husband had to carry our luggage up the stairs. (I offered to help.) I asked for a first-floor room when I got there, but the night clerk said the hotel was full. (?) Also, we got a jetted bathtub that was tall and slippery. And there were no handicap bars. I almost fell several times and there was nothing to grab onto. Morning staff pleasant, there is a fridge and microwave in the room. I wouldn't stay here again, but I see several good reviews. The room is large enough; bed sheets seemed clean; but who knows about the floor. The carpet is a good disguise. Breakfast so-so.
We travel from TN to MI several times a year and we use this Best Western as a lay over every time. We love the staff, they all know us on sight or as soon as they hear my voice. We always ask for the same room and they will do everything in their power to place us there. Breakfast is always good and hot.
We stayed at this hotel for ffa convention for 3 days. It's located off 65. They serve hot breakfast and every one we came across was very friendly. The rooms were very clean and it looks like hotel has been updated recently. All staff was amazing and helpful. We will be back next year
Loved this hotel. Clean, and updated interior. Beats a lot of 4-5 star hotels. Great location. Free hot breakfast even during Covid-19. Cheaper price was a plus and the near by restaurants were great as well.
Everything in this motel was nice. Our Queen bed room was spacious and cleaned well. The bathroom seemed newly remodeled and we were thankful for the extra towel bars. The serving and eating area was also clean and the breakfast was more than adequate. We used the very clean pool and that area was decorative and welcoming. Our only other comment would be that there is no elevator to the 2nd floor. If help was needed getting luggage upstairs, I'm sure someone would have been provided.
Smaller than other hotels in the area, but priced quite reasonably. This hotel has been Updated. Rooms are very clean and surprisingly they had room service (some hotels don't with COVID protocol s) Convenient location.
I was in town for business trip and made reservations at this hotel. The front desk was very accommodating. The room was very nice and clean. The swimming pool is amazing. They serve hot breakfast and it was good.
We are avid Marriott people. This time we stayed at the Best Western in Edinburgh. This was one of the cleanest hotels we ever stayed at. The people were also one of the most pleasant I have ever come across.
It was our 51st wedding anniversary, so my husband and I decided to take a trip to the southern part of Indiana. I called a couple of days ahead of time. I asked them for a handicap room, because my husband is in a wheelchair. The front desk and the associates were very nice and very personal about their registration when people check in. Her name was Shenna and greeted us when we arrived . We stayed for a couple nights.
we had called to see if they can accommodate us early morning because we had to attend weeding. front desk was very nice and helping. pool is very nice. rooms were very nice and clean and they provide daily room services. nice breakfast. everyone we came across were very courteous. great hotel for fair price
We were greeted by friendly front desk Clark. The hotel looks like went through renovation. Looks nice. Very close to highway. The breakfast was hot and tasty. There is a outlet mall across the street. Overall we had very good time thanks to all the staff
We were traveling down south and stayed at this location. It's located right behind Taco Bell and off 65. Hot breakfast was served. Lots of variety. Lots of restaurants near by. Enjoyed our discounts at some of the restaurants the hotel offers. Very courteous staff. Pool looks very nice although we did not have chance to swim
Staff was great. They serve hot breakfast. It was hot and lots of variety. Our room was very comfortable and relaxing. It was quite too. All of the staff we came across was very friendly and courteous from house keepers to maintenance man. We sure will be back
We live in Tennessee and have family that live in Michigan, well we visit MI 3 to 4 times a year or more. Any time we visit we stay the night at this Best Western going and coming from MI. During our last trip I left my pillow there and didn't know it until we had gotten home. I called the hotel and Talked to the General Manager Sheena, she was the sweetest. Sheena had my pillow and took the time and trouble of taking it to the UPS stope boxing it up and mailing it to me. I got it the next day!! My husband has a bad back and we like to have a room close to the exit doors and they make sure we get that room, They know us when they see us and have no need to ask for our name. Clean and friendly place and always willing to go the extra mile to take care of the guest. Thank you so much Sheena and staff for all you do to make this the BEST Best Western. Sue Courington
We came to visit friends in the town and chose to stay at this hotel. What a jam!!! It's very cleaned well maintained. all of the hotel staff was very accommodating, there is outlet mall near by For the shopping lovers. They must have recently remodeled the hotel. They serve hot breakfast as well. Lots of variety
It has been my experience in that Best Western hotels in the US are pretty consistent in terms of the service and the size of the rooms. This hotel was no exception. Front desk staff was courteous and the room was clean. As this stay was during the COVID-era, the fact that the hotel offered a self-serve breakfast was a plus. Hotel is located across from the outlet mall where there are plenty of dining choices.
We have been going to this hotel every Memorial Day weekend for the Indy 500 since 2016 (except for 2020) and will continue to stay at this hotel whenever we go to the race. We look forward to seeing Sheena's smiling face and personality. She always goes out of her way to make sure we have a pleasant visit.
Needed to be more friendly and tell about room amenities. Light didn't work, that was the plug for the coffee pot. Mattress was in need of new one sag right in the middle.room could have had more color on the bed, looked drab.
It's a midway stop to our final destination. It looks like the hotel has been recently remodeled. It really looks nice. There is shops near by and lot places o eat. They serve hot breakfast as well. All staff were super nice and friendly
Great room, everything was excellent .looking forward to visiting again in the future. They have a indoor heated pool. Breakfast in the morning. And everything was clean. The staff was very cautious and polite.
This was our first time staying at this Best Western. Clean rooms and friendly receptionist. Easy check in and check out. We did not use the pool but it is a very nice large area. We saved money staying here over the other hotels. A no-frills clean hotel. Within walking distance of Applebee's, Taco Bell and Hardee's.
We greatly enjoyed your establishment. The gentleman at the front desk during check in was very polite and informative. The lady at checkout was a delight to speak with. Although we didn't use the pool nor have breakfast everything looked very inviting and clean. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
This is a GREAT hotel with wonderful staff. It had the only hot breakfast on our 3200 mile trip. We felt VERY comfortable eating there. There is an Applebee's next door & by showing our Motel key we got 10% off the entire meal. That's a good benefit for both businesses & me the customer. We highly recommend this Best Western
Nice stay in a very clean and quiet hotel. Very conveniently located off the interstate and within walking distance of several restaurants so we didn't need to drive to go eat since we were pulling our RV. (It was too cold to be camping for one night on our way south.) There was sufficient room in the parking lot to park our truck and RV along the edge of the lot. I did notice several people not wearing masks including an employee, but we could keep our distance. Breakfast was self serve and good with eggs and sausage. While not exactly Covid friendly there was sanitizer available and you could use napkins when handling things. I would definitely stay here again.
This best western rates about average. Their mask wearing and covid breakfast were not good. I saw employees without masks more often than not and the breakfast was still a self serve from containers of eggs and sausage. Not covid friendly. If they were going to ignore single serve pre packed items I would have loved to have the waffle maker running!
Just off the highway, easy in and out. Comfortable amenities, reasonable price. Clean, comfortable room in every respect. Friendly, helpful staff. Decent breakfast. Coffee whenever I wanted. No problems, no objections.
It looked like they had recently updated the hotel with modern style furnishings. The room was exceptionally clean and the beds comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The price was reasonable. I would stay here again. Be sure to visit the cute town of Franklin which is nearby. There are good restaurants and breweries there.
We stayed at this for family get together and we had wonderful time. The swimming was lot fun. All staff was very friendly and helpful. Great restaurants near by. Our room was very nice and clean and all staff were mask.
Very nice hotel, seemed to be newly remodeled. All of the employees I encountered were very nice and helpful and were actually wearing a mask. Most places I visit I rarely see all employees wearing them. It was nice to have a pool that was open during the Covid, breakfast was nice.
The front desk gentlemen was extremely rude when I checked in and kept repeatedly told me that if I have anyone 1 else come into my room or the pool then my family and the other visitors would be kicked out!! I said OVER AND OVER that I wasnt going to have 1 extra person and it would be just my kids and myself but this guy treated me like scum of the earth and then when we checked into our room . My 12yr old daughter found in the bathroom some NASTY BLOOD STAINED PANTIES that was laying out in plain sight on the floor so I took them to front desk and complained and they had then nerve to say they were my panties even though I'd just checked in etc. So I DO NOT RECCOMEND ANYONE WASTING THERE TIME WITH THIS PLACE. VERY VERY RUDE AND BREAKFAST FOOD WAS ALSO TERRIBLE!!!! Also the shower tub was very old and gritty and felt disgusting
We ended up at this Best Western for the night while on a motorcycle road trip and deciding to stop rather than continue for the night. Staff was friendly and accommodating in meeting our needs for the group. Even gave us recommendations for local restaurants in the area. The only draw back, which wasn't the hotel's fault, is that a lot of families were staying at the hotel and using the pool so we didn't get to enjoy it as much as we wanted.
This has been a great place to stay during the COVID 19 pandemic. The hotel is well cleaned and sanitized. Instead of their regular awesome breakfast they are packing a to-go breakfast that is all prepackaged and is the next best thing. Everyone is friendly and accomodating. We use this BW when we have contracted work for about 6 weeks a year and wouldn't stay anywhere else.
I came to Columbus,Indiana to see my grandson need a place for the weekend and I needed it to have a pool. It was a great experience for us being able to swim when it was cold outside. The staff where very friendly and helpful
I was quite happy with my stay at Edinburgh Best Western. Beds was good. Pillows were decent. Room was very clean including all bathroom facilities. Value was outstanding. Other hotels in the area were 30.00 to 70.00 dollars more for similar room. I will be back. Plenty of restaurants and outlet shopping within walking distance
Love this hotel its always great. Friendly staff. Clean awesome pool and the best breakfast. Always will to accommodate and make it the best stay they possibly can. The pool is heated and salt water all around great hotel.
we have stayed in this hotel on our way to Florida at least 4 times over the years and have always had good experiences, clean rooms, comfortable beds and great breakfasts. This year I was greeted with the best check in experience ever. Thanks Sheena, you are amazing
Beds were comfortable, room clean, breakfast was good and kept stocked with the eggs and sausage and biscuits and gravy etc. The downside were that the towels were scratchy (not of a soft texture), could use some fabric softener. Paper towel holder rusted and no shine to the tub but was clean. Employees very nice and friendly.
We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The staff was very helpful and nice. The room was comfortable with no odd odors. The bed was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. The breakfast was good and lots of choices.
Great location with awesome staff! I stay here a few times a week and the staff is always friendly, accommodating and willing to help out. Hotel is very accessible right off 65. Also affordable, clean, modern and the beds are comfortable! Outlet mall and restaurants all around. Highly recommend this location
The rooms are large, very clean and tastefully furnished. The indoor heated saltwater pool is a real treat. While there is no hot tub, there is a small fitness room. The breakfast has a few hot items (eggs, sausage & waffles). 8 miles from downtown Columbus and its architectural treasures. It is 15 miles from Brown County State Park and 15 miles from the arts colony of Nashville.
The place is an above average mid range motel. I don't like to stay in foreign owned hotels as they seem to have different standards when it comes to the definition of cleanliness. This place was very very very clean!! The bathroom was nice and updated with modern fixtures, nice microwave, fridge, TV!! The remote was sanitized and the battery's were new. Pet friendly and lots of parking for trailers. This was a good place to spend the night while traveling. Lots of close by food gas and pretty much what you might need.
The room was nice and comfortable, had both carpet and wood floor planking which made it easier to move around with my scooter. The bathroom was different with a sink and mirror in the corner and the toilet next to the diagonal sink. With a roll-in shower on the other side of the toilet, there were no grab bars around the toilet to assist with raising up to get off the toilet. Not sure how to correct this issue since there is no wall space close enough to install grab bars. The breakfast area was handled very well during our stay.
My wife and I stayed here overnight to visit family. Each desk personnel we talked to was pleasant and professional. Room was very nice and clean. I usually don't eat breakfast but they had a great potato mix option that I ate, very good!
Worst service and hotel I have ever stayed in massed my reservations up the odor of drugs never ceased my whole stay staff was using drugs and buying/selling drugs with other staff and guest I was treated poorly and was told the problem couldn't and wouldn't be resolved and my price wasnt going to change, the problem with the drugs was so obvious I had to notify the police department... i would not recommend this place to a homeless person
The hotel was clean both inside and out...staff was friendly but the sound proofing is not at all good. You can hear full conversations of people walking up and down the hall as well as hearing others alarm clocks.
3 days at hotel.. Air conditioning never worked correctly the whole 3 days... Staff couldn't fix it. Asked for it to be fixed at least 3 times never did fix it or offer a discount. The rest of the hotel was very nice.
Staff was friendly. Room was nice, clean and quiet with plenty of hot water. In room lighting was medium. Neither bright nor candle light. Breakfast biscuits and gravy was uneatable. Biscuits hard as a rock and gravy a cheap mix.
We arrived Saturday 9/21/2019 and it was down hill from there. We were put in room 105 and it smelled like pure mold and mildew. Not to mention the room was super humid and had a sticky feeling. Outside the door in the hallway the floor (carpet)was soaked! So soaked once you walked from the carpet to the tile there was wet footprints! No fans, no wet floor sign...NOTHING! I kindly informed the front desk of our issue, asked to be moved to a different room and also told them that my child is allergic to mold/mildew. They didn't care one bit. Told us we couldn't be changed rooms and that they could just refund us. Asked to speak to a manager and was told she was in IL! We explained that we were staying there with a group of 30+ people and didn't want to split up...they still didn't care! It took calling corporate and many of our other friends staying there asking them to move us for them to even offer a new room. Our new room did not stink of mold/mildew but it was also very humid with a sticky feeling! After the call to corporate someone who I assume to be a manager appeared to make the change to a new room. Sadly we weren't the only one with issues. I will not recommend this hotel to other softball friends and we frequent the area a lot for tournaments!
I stayed at Best Western 9/13/2019 and 9/14/2019. At check in room 204 was given to us and it smelled badly of mildew. Someone else in our party checked in and demanded a refund because of hives she broke out in after checking in. She requires an epi pen for her allergies. They had to leave the hotel and the Manager argued and didn't want to refund their money l, however eventually did. We asked to be moved to another room to give the hotel a chance. You could tell the manager was annoyed but were moved to room 122. 122 was better, but as soon as you opened the closet door the smell was the same from room 204. We comprised and didn't use the closet and kept the door closed. Our other friends came later and the manager made a mockery of us telling them to check their room because “your friends” had trouble with theirs. We went along with our stay. Saturday my boyfriend and I walked by the pool and noticed friends in there. We went in to talk to them. The manager came in and addressed my friends who were drinking canned beer and told them they weren't able to drink in there. My friends apologized and said they would get rid of it. Then she goes on to accuse everyone of having marijuana because she smelled marijuana. I was offended that she asked that being that no one was smoking marijuana at the pool. I was offended that she asked very loudly and infront of a young lad was her family instead of handling it professionally and warned her that there was a little girl there and again annoyed she said “oh sorry”. At this point, I felt like she was Retaliating from the complaints. I checked out on Sunday and came home on Monday to find that my card had been charged 2 separate transactions of $50.00 each that had nothing to do with the room charges. I called the hotel to be told my room smelled like “marijuana” so they charged me $100.00. Funny thing is I don't smoke or do drugs. But she is able to make that call and charge you without even calling you. And when you ask for the owners information they won't provide that. I called the best western number and filed a complaint. But there is no way the owner knows that the general manager is as unprofessional as she is. And is now retaliating against me.
Very clean, Staff Great, Manager Outstanding, Pool Awesome, Food Ok. The Hotel is close to everything and very welcoming when returning as if you were just coming home with a comfortable service. Would recommend
Our whole experience was wonderful from check in to check out. The 3 night stay was good with a nice room (bathroom a bit small). The young lady cleaning our room was very helpful with cleaning rags for our bicycle (tandem rally) and extra towels. The breakfast was really nice since each morning there were different 'hot' food to eat.
Clean comfortable quiet at a good price. Best of all the staff is honest. Left a box of valuable jewelry in the room and the front desk called me . We went back to get it everything was there. God bless.
The hotel staff was friendly and knowledgeable of the restaurants near the hotel. The room was cozy and comfortable. Enjoyed the selections of TV channels that was available, it is the most that I have seen at any hotel we have stayed at.
We had car troubles and were forced to stop in Columbus IN. The Best Western staff was great with getting us a room for our family of five. Did try the fitness room which did have one piece of broken equipment. Again minor issue sense that's not the reason we chose that hotel.
My husband and I stayed at this motel while in the area to do some shopping and visit family. The location isn't bad, across the highway from the outlet mall. The room was a nice size with queen bed and a loveseat. The bathroom was small but doable for 1 night. Bed was comfy but pillows were lumpy and small like most motel pillows. Bath towels were thick and soft. The room seemed to be clean. Check in and out were easy with no problems. Didn't try the breakfast so don't know if it was good or not. Though not the motel's fault, just rude people, there were a lot of slamming doors late into the night and could hear guest walking around in the room above. Woke early to what sounded like Bigfoot stomping across the floor in the upper room. We didn't want a early check out but the housekeeping staff kept slamming doors and making so much noise we did leave earlier than we wanted to. On the way out one asked if we were checking out like they wanted us gone so they could hurry and finish cleaning. The back door is left unlocked from 6 AM to 11 PM so anyone can come and go guest or not. Not sure if we will stay at this motel again or not on our yearly trip to the area.
We were welcomed by Cheryl at the front desk who was efficient and friendly. The hotel was clean and the kids loved the pool. Breakfast is simple but good. The coffee is delicious!! We had a spill at breakfast and the sweet lady was right there to mop it up. I think her name was Mendy, not positive. All of the staff we passed was hospitable. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
We were looking for a comfortable place to spend a night on our way north. This property exceeded our expectations. Cheryl at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable.
It was an incredibly hot, humid weekend when we visited. The air conditioner kept up nicely but with the unwelcome side effect of a very damp feeling room. The room itself was all right although the bathroom was quite small. A small fridge, coffee maker & microwave were nice to have. The location is perfect for teams, shoppers & travelers. And - its quiet. One thing to know is that there's no elevator.
To be one hundred percent honest, I didn't expect this to be much of a stay while here on business but "Cheryl" made it one of the most comforting and easy going experiences to date with Best Western. Give this woman a pay raise or else somebody from the competition will!....The rooms/decor/amenities is practically the same everywhere I travel to for work "mid level business" but the one thing that seperates good stays versus garbage stays in my personal opinion and professional is all about the people who truly do whatever they can to make your stay a little bit better rather than brushing it off like most could/do. Call ahead and make sure "Cheryl" and others like her are on staff still before ever checking in. Rant over. God Bless.
Nice, clean rooms with an indoor pool and breakfast. Staff was helpful, convenient check in and out. It's across the street to the outlet mall which was our reason for. Choosing this location. Food and gas stations super close.
Whenever we are traveling to the southern states we stay at this site. Not only is this a wonderful place to stay but it is close to all sorts of dining and shopping. The staff are ALWAYS there to make our stay the best possible.
This BW is a little out of our way when we travel up to this area from Alabama but we really like the staff and the facility has been updated and is very clean. The facility is very well maintained. The breakfast bar is fast and fresh.
Super pleased with the helpful, friendly, and courteous staff that greeted us - even at the late hour we arrived due to delayed softball games! Sasha was still smiling and took good care of us before her shift ended. Then Patti took over and solved an issue we had and made it possible for us to get our softball playing 11 year tucked in to rest for the night. Thank you!
Upon our arrival at Best Western Edinburgh/Columbia we were pleasantly greeted by Sasha, who proceeded to tell us about the latest promotion involving a $20.00 gift card, and then provided directions to a most enjoyable local steakhouse, called Montana Mikes. They also give a discount to BW guests. Had to be one of the best steak dinners we have enjoyed in quite some time. Upon return to check into our room #105, however, we also discovered the previously reviewed sticky goo surfaces of all the counters .... and since it has already been reviewed, management is obviously aware but as of yet cares little to correct this rather weird situation.
The Best Western Edinburgh/Columbus is a great spot to stop along the way on a driving vacation or business trip. The location is perfect, with several full service and fast food restaurants very closeby. Also, the outlet mall is just across the street, which is a great place to walk around after driving all day. The room was clean and the breakfast was plentiful. The pool area looked like a lot of fun, but we didn't get a chance to use it. Be aware that this property does NOT have an elevator so request a first floor room if mobility is an issue.
Best Western in Edinburgh was a surprisingly pleasant overnight stay. The room could not have been more immaculate, the employees friendly and helpful, and all amenities worked perfectly. The location for restaurants, shopping the Outlet Mall, and proximity to I-65 was well- planned. And, the cost was amazingly under $100 for the night!
Thread bare sheets, fabric on chair was torn up, desk was covered in sticky goo. It was very obvious the room wasn't cleaned very well. Walls were cracked and patched over rather than fixed. Bathroom shower had caulk over uncleaned caulk. Hot items during breakfast were not replenished within the 30 mins we sat down there. It was a disappointing experience.
I stayed at this Best Western location last week and had such a great experience! We came into Indy for my cousins graduation and to spend time with family so we weren't at the hotel all that much. The location is great! There's a good amount of restaurants around and the premium outlets is right across the street. It's also a short distance to downtown Columbus or Indianapolis, which is great! The breakfast is free and was from 6 am-9 am, The food was fantastic! A few breakfast items included were: Waffles, yogurt, bagels, muffins, fresh fruits, etc. And an option of apple juice/orange juice or coffee. The pool and fitness center were both great! Only had the opportunity to use their pool once, spent most of my mornings in the fitness center however, I do want to point out for others that it is small, and has only 4 machines (Treadmill, bike, elliptical trainer, a lat pulldown. and an exercise ball.) There are no elevators but a short staircase! Less than 10 steps to go up or down if your room is on the upper level. :) Our room was nice! The beds were extremely comfy along with the pillows. The wifi in our room was fast which is always convenient as two of the three guests staying in the room have summer classes and had assignments to work on during the stay. Any housekeeping or employees we came across during the stay were extremely friendly and welcoming towards us! Overall, if you're not looking to spend alot of money on a hotel and looking for a wonderful place to stay during your next trip to Columbus/Edinburgh/Indy, I would highly recommend this Best Western location for all your needs. I would definitely stay here again!

This is our fourth year staying at this Best Western and will stay there again the next time we're in town. There were some items that needed to be dusted but they were taken care of immediately. The staff, especially Sheena and Jaimie, were terrific.
I had a little trouble with my call into the location I stayed, but stuck with it and it paid off. The staff was very friendly and helpful with the check-in. Once we arrived the staff was very friendly and courteous. The were informative and good explanation. Breakfast was good, my only thing there is the kitchen staff keeping up with people leaving and keeping the tables ready for use by others.
We attended a family event in Indianapolis the same weekend as the Indy 500 which more than tripled the Indy hotel prices. This hotel was not only reasonably priced, it was only about 35 miles south on I 65. Ate lunch at the local diner, which was also outstanding.
We had a room at the Econo lodge and it was terrible. We cancelled further reservations there and made last minute ones at Best western. The staff was accommodating and the place was very nice and clean. They price was a little steep or i would've originally booked there. Overall satisfied though.
Better not pay the highest price for this hotel. It was Okay... but thats it. Hallway smelt extremely bad. Coming from the maintenance room... they kept that door open for some reason.(????) Rooms were clean en beds were fine. Breakfast was avarage.
A group of four of us stayed here. Two rooms, both nice, clean, and comfortable. The location is good as it's right off the interstate, but far enough away to not get road noise, there's a bunch of restaurants within easy walking distance, and the outlet mall is close, which serves as some early evening entertainment. We'll gladly stay again!
This is an excellent hotel. The employees provide great service and are friendly and helpful. It is close to shopping and restaurants. The pool temp was warm and breakfast was wonderful. The beds are comfortable. I have been staying here for years and this year it will be about a 5 week stay. I am very pleased and will continue to make Best Western in Edinburgh my 1st hotel choice.
Hotel is dark dirty outdated not worth the money. They raised the prices just bc the NRA was in town and I had to pay 323 for 2 nights wont be back now if the price was not so much I can understand the dirty dark hotel. The doors to outside did not have a lock on them so anyone could walk into the hotel that's not staying there.
Nice, well maintained and clean hotel. Both evening and morning staff were very pleasant and helpful. The king size room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Upon arrival we were informed there was no water service due to a problem in the area and were advised we could cancel and look for a room elsewhere. Decided to stay when told they were promised water by morning. Water on as promised. Breakfast quality could have been better, but ok. Staff very friendly and helpful. We would return.
This a real nice place to stay that's in a good location. It also has plenty of restaurants around it, within walking distance. Very good people that work there as well. I highly recommend it for a good, and reasonable price.
Booked this location by fate. It's OK. Good staff. Building needs a redue. Main thing is that it was on our route and not too expensive. If it were not for the current BW promotion, would have booked a different brand. Note to Corporate: If you want this traveler's business, promotions make a difference. But make it easier for the customer, not more difficult. For example, the “Free” night expires in 60 days. Not good !
Front desk was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and modern and breakfast was good with a good variety to choose from. Great location across the street from outlet mall close to restaurants and gas stations.
Great location, safe and friendly safe. Would stay again. Enjoyed 10% dining discount with room key at a few local restaurants. Close to local shopping and other venues. Room size great. Only thing I'd change is I'd prefer full size pillows.
Feel that I received excellent value for my money at this property. The rooms were clean and spacious, and there was no road noise at night. The breakfast(two mornings)was excellent, and all staff members were pleasant and efficient.
Bring your earplugs as housekeeping, including vacuuming begins before 8am. Our shower drain was almost completely clogged, took 30 minutes for it to drain after an average timed shower. This was not reported as there was never anyone at the front desk except for when we checked in. That clerk was very friendly. The room was otherwise clean but smelled weird. My husband ate the breakfast one morning, said it was fine. I just didn't feel good about eating there so took a pass on that. The view from our room included various trash and discarded pallets scattered about the perimeter of the property. The back parking lot entrance has a sign posted stating “This door is locked after11:30pm” but it was unlocked all night as far as I could tell which could be a problem since the front desk is mostly unmanned allowing anyone to come in unnoticed. The only positives were the friendliness of our checkin clerk and the general cleanliness of the room (except for the odd smell).
My child had a swim meet in Trafalgar, so Edinburgh has the closest hotals. The lobby is nice and inviting. Seems more business oriented than family, and that's fine. Check in was easy and the front desk person was very nice. We got our room and it was upstairs. While walking to our room, we walked passed several rooms that smelled like bad Indian food. But by the time we got to our room several rooms later, and got inside, the smell was no longer an issue. We used the pool that night, it was fine. When we were getting ready for bed, I stepped a closer to the bed and my foot was right under the bed skirt and it made a crinkle sound. We pulled a dried McDonald's burger wrapper out from under the bed skirt. Gross, but rest of the room was completely clean. We slept well. Beds were comfy. Water pressure was nice and plenty of hot water. Got up the next morning for an early checkout. Went down and ate breakfast, which was wonderful to have the breakfast open at 6am. We ate and everything tasted wonderful and nice selection. When we went to checkout at 6:20, I wasn't sure if we had to talk to anyone, so we rang the bell. Stood there for about 5 minutes (rang bell 3 more times) , but no one ever comes. So we left our cards on the counter and left.
I am from this area and had to come back for a funeral. I decided to stay at this Best Western as I had heard good things. My stay was great and I had no issues. The breakfast had plenty of options and front desk employees were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Would recommend and stay again....
Had a great experience at Best Western plus in Gettysburg so decided to book it in Edinburgh . So glad we did. Price was great, very clean and looked recently updated. Kids loved the pool and our free breakfast was amazing. Also we got 10% off at surrounding restaurants. Definitely will use Best Western in the future!
We live in TN and have family that live in MI. This is the midway point for us when going back and forth. We have stayed here about 10 times and have never had a problem with the room or the staff. In fact when we stayed last April there was a snow storm that passed through during the night and the desk clerk offered to clean our car off for us. Good place to stay.
We really like this place. At first contact over the phone, Bobbie was patient, cordial, and extremely helpful. Allowing us to get more bang for our buck with her experienced tips. After talking to Bobbie, we knew we had booked the right place. And upon arrival, our feeling were confirmed. Pravina checked us in and all was well. The rooms are, well... roomy, beautiful, and clean. Really clean. Really white. There's a Free breakfast, a cozy fireplace lobby, all in a great location. Lots of parking, and the area is packed with food, shopping and more. Whoever is doing the hiring really knows their job. We talked with several of the staff, and all were friendly, accommodation, and asked about our welfare.
excellent visit due to the efforts of Mgr, Sheena. One of the best we have met. She took care of reservation and then followed up after we arrived Very personable. Motel was excellent but the Mgr made it more than just a stay, We also were assisted by young man at desk by name of Brandon Nice, polite, and not only helpful, but impressed us with his concern.
I stayed in this hotel for a funeral. The location was great, within walking distance of lots of restaurants and the outlet mall. There are two convenience stores/gas stations near by and it's right off I-65. They allowed me to check in early and were very friendly and helpful. My room was a good size and appeared to be recently updated. The bathroom was large. I had 1 queen size bed and two chairs in the room along with a desk, large TV, refrigerator, and microwave. The bathroom did not have a shower curtain and the tub had hair and some sort of soap or gel in it. The sink and toilet appeared to be clean as did the sheets on the bed. I felt comfortable staying here, but it was nothing fancy and the updates were a little lacking on quality (messy paint and caulk). I did not try the free breakfast, but it was available.
Seems they have skimped on some remodeling. A good effort, but not quite there yet. The blanket & towel were like sandpaper. I think the room is pretty good for the money spent. Do yourself a favor & skip the breakfast... next time, I think ill invest in staying at a holiday inn.
We brought two buses of teachers and students here for a convention. The hotel was very, very clean. The staff was so accommodating beyond expectations. Beds were very comfortable. Even snack machines didn't seem to be crazy high as you expect with hotels. This place was a very pleasant experience for teachers and 100 students.
Very clean rooms. Very understanding management. Anything we needed help with they would try their best to help. Overall very good hote would recommend. We had a big group of people and they welcomed us and helped so very much in everything.
I had an extended stay here in late September-early October 2018 on business. I love the location of the hotel-you are close enough to Camp Atterbury if you have business there, but also both the small town cafes of both Edinburgh and Columbus. It is convenient to several restaurants, including some with discounts for hotel guests. You are also close enough to the big box stores in Columbus. Sheena and her front desk and other staff do a wonderful job and are very friendly. Mendy that runs breakfast is very sweet and even had got an extra topping on the breakfast bar the very next day even though I said it was no big deal and not to worry about it if they didn't have it. There is fresh coffee available 24/7, although if you are a coffee snob or just like the occasional treat, there is a Starbucks right across the parking lot. The house keepers and maintenance guy are all friendly and hard working to make your stay comfortable.
Staff were helpful and friendly the woman that cares for the breakfast in the mornings does a great great job. And was unhappy with the cleanliness of my linens and luckily had a pillow in my car from driving a long distance. Overall the room was adequately furnished and an okay value but not sure that I have found my forever hotel.
This Best Western hotel is older, but they provide excellent service, adequate rooms and are continually improving the property; offers the best value for the price. So much more affordable than the big name hotels. They provide friendly courteous service, have a nice pool and a yummy breakfast. Coffee is always available. Right next to Taco Bell, Applebees, gas and Starbucks. Hardees is on the same side of the street and the Outlet Mall is on the opposite side of the street.
We stay at Best Western quite often but sadly this was not our favorite. The room itself was fine - great bed....but the bathroom was really small for a king size room. Two people could not fit into it. The other thing was that people were just running around slamming doors. This is unacceptable-if we stay again we will need to be in an area with minimal noise. The noise is not the hotel's fault, however. That is just rude, socially unaware people with no manners.
Halls are dark and dirty. Pets are welcome here. My room smelled like animals had stayed here. The sheets were very thin and the tv was set to full screen instread of widescreen. Toilet seat needs replaced as it is stained. Travel to this area often. Will not book this hotel again.
Our room was very clean and organized. The Staff provided us a very warm welcome. The bed was really nice and comfortable. The bathroom had enough room to put our things. We will be definitely coming back to Best Western.
We were happy with this hotel when we arrived. They have an indoor swimming pool which is nice when it is hot, and or the weather is inclement. We were on a motorcycle and they allowed us to park under the veranda in case of weather. The rooms were clean and the bed was excellent.
I have stayed at this hotel a few times in the past. I consistently have a great experience. The staff always provides a very warm welcome and rooms are clean which is the most important thing. I will be back next time I'm in the area. Thanks for he hospitality.
We got to our room at 1:00 am and left when we woke up. No elevator, public areas are in rough shape. Room was fine and clean and priced right for what you get. Family run and service staff was very nice.
One of the toughest jobs in the limited service (meaning lodgings that do not have restaurants, bars or banquet facilities) hotel business is the one where you are face to face with the guest. Housekeepers can find refuge in a guest room. Maintenance men can flee to the maintenance shop but desk clerks have no places to hide and usually have to take the heat for the service failures of others. Its just a fact of life in the lodging business. But perhaps the toughest job of all is when the owner is the desk clerk because the buck stops there. There is no one to point to as "the problem." This is very often the case when an entrepreneur is trying his/her hand in the lodging business for the first time. And very often the owner/operator is not the best person to interface with the guest because the talents that enabled the owner to become the owner are not the same talents required to make a guest feel welcome and cared for. This hotel was a wonderful exception to the "never let the owner meet the guest" rule. We are not big fans of the Best Western brand because we have found it to be inconsistent. So, we stayed at this hotel after careful review of the comments on Trip Advisor. My wife brought a can of Glade room spray because some had mentioned a musty smell. We did not need the spray. The room was quite pleasant and had no offensive odor at all. If there was any downside to our stay it was the invisibility of the location. The site sign is on US 31 but once that is located and one has a general idea of where the motel is situated the entrance (which is behind a Taco Bell) and the motel itself becomes obscured by several trees. We drove past the hotel twice and needed to make a U-Turn to finally locate the entrance. Once you find it the hotel presents well. The parking lot had been freshly resealed and re-striped, the outdoor plantings looked cared for and watered, there was no visible trash or litter and the door glass was sparkling without evidence of finger prints. It was obvious that management was caring and attentive. All good signs for the traveler who is about to entrust time, treasure and about 8 hours of almost nude unconsciousness to the facility and its management. You can feel quite safe here. We arrived a bit later in the day and Tyler, the young man who checked us in, was efficient, well groomed and personable. We observed a breakfast room and a comfortable seating area. I did not visit the breakfast room the next morning but my wife did and she said the food on offer was plentiful and the guests seemed to enjoy it. Our room, a king-size non smoking, was very comfortable. The housekeeping was excellent with no dust, dust bunnies or spotted chrome or mirrors. My only complaint (and this is throughout most of the hotel industry) was the inadequate number of electrical outlets. I needed two outlets on my side of the bed for my CPAP and phone charger. I listen to the BBC all night with earbuds and keeping that phone charged is critical. I was able to make do by disconnecting a power bar on the other side of the room which disconnected the in room fridge and microwave. Note to self-travel with an extension cord! Mattress was firm and very comfortable. Pillows odorless and firm to soft as needed. Flat-screen TV offerings were plentiful and the picture was crystal clear on all channels. That is rare. That was much appreciated. WIFI was simple and connected easily though better in-room information could be displayed. Other reviewers have commented on the small bathroom facilities so I will not dwell on it here except to say that we were not troubled by this at all. I was slightly annoyed that the vanity mirrors in our bath met at a a corner angle so there was no possibility of looking straight into a mirror while shaving. Maybe that can be solved in a future re-model? The room is heated and cooled through Zoneline-type window units that have become ubiquitous in the industry. The bed is situated very close to the unit so it takes a bit of drape and vent management to angle the air stream satisfactorily. We did not find this to be a problem. Our room rate was with tax about $100 and we felt that is was an excellent value given the other lodging options at this exit and the convenience to our purpose. We met the husband and wife owner team upon checkout. What a wonderful couple and we were only too anxious to tell them how much we enjoyed their hospitality and their work product. They actively solicited our comments. They informed us about the work they had already completed and gave us some insight about their future plans. If you have the chance to meet them (and you probably will because they work all the positions!) you will be impressed. There is no shortage of hospitality options at exit 76. Table-service restaurants, outlet mall shopping, gasoline, antiques and fast food options are plentiful and convenient. We decided to drive into Edinburgh to a diner suggested by a local we met at the antiques mall. Stick to the major brands at the exit! LOL We will definitely be back on next trip through the area!
Extremely friendly and polite people that went above my expectations while I was delayed in the area. I would request a room further away from the ice box in the future, but other than that, I can't complain. Very clean parking lot also took me by surprise.
Great price, good location, good breakfast. Bathroom would be better after a remodel. Good that local restaurants give discount if you show your key card Staff were very nice, we will stay there again for sure.
Senior Softball Tournament. Price was good. Several eating options very close by as well as Edinburgh Outlet Mall just across the street. Room was comfortable with refrigerator and microwave. They did a great job at breakfast. Food and beverages were very good and they did a great job keeping up with the amount of people eating each day! Pool was refreshing and pool area spacious. Overall a very nice stay.
the hotel is located right across from outletmall. it looks like hotel has been renovated recently. they offer discount to local resturants as well. we had great time in the swimming pool. its very nice and clean hotel
reserved a first floor room due to injury, which was given away to someone else. Broken chair in the lobby that management obviously doesn't care about throwing out. Was forced to use the stairs when I had an obvious knee injury to begin with. Would not recommend this hotel
Nice room that has been recently updated. The hotel was across the street from the outlet mall, good restaurants & I-65. I checked every hotel in this area & this Best Western was the only hotel that allowed pets. Allowing pets is reason I chose this hotel. Our stay was 3 nights & very enjoyable. Hotel was located in a good area with very good service & average value.
We stayed at the Best Western in Edinburgh for my daughter's softball tournament. After being gone all day, we came back to our room and found a bug in her bed! I told the front desk attendant and she said that she would speak to her manager about it. I had to ask for them to change the sheets and blankets in the bed. She said they would change them but I had to go back down to the front desk again after a few hours to ask again for the bedding to be changed. I was told that the manager gave me 1,000 points and they would be up with new bedding soon. They didn't seem to concerned that there was a bug in our bed. I was pretty disappointed with our stay!
The staff was super friendly. The rooms were clean all around. Comfy beds. Great breakfast! Hate that there's no elevator to floor 2,but I'd overlook that and stay again. We travel often for sporting events so I know we will be back!
Reviews on Tripadvisor seem slanted to the positive. First room we received had a horrible musty smell. Service was good and we were given another room but it was underwhelming also. Furnishings seem older, AC rattled and bathroom is extremely small with poor ventilation. There are many better options in Edinburgh. I would recommend paying a bit more and getting a more quality room in a better location on other side of HW 31.
Can't say that I've been a fan of Best Western over the years. I travel often, mostly on an expense account. When I'm paying out of my own pocket I'm looking for 1) Clean 2) ~$100 per night f 3) friendly staff, 4) modern room 4) free breakfast. This BW delivered! Everything I wanted -- and Applebees is in the parking lot. Is it a five star hotel? No. Is it the Ritz, no. But perfect for an overnight while on the road. Recommended!!
This hotel provided a great value and rest during our recent trip to Indianapolis. Staff is extremely courteous and helpful. This older hotel has recently had renovation and I would recommend it for anyone.
My business stays at this hotel each year when we are working in the area. It is clean, the breakfast is very good and the staff is pleasant, courteous and professional. We have stayed multiple weeks and this is the best hotel in the area that there is.
Nice rooms, super comfortable beds and super helpful employees. We needed extra towels and tissues. The desk clerk brought them down immediately. The staff made breakfast earlier than scheduled to accommodate those guests going to the Indy 500. This is the third time that we've stayed at this hotel and will stay there again when we're in the area.
Stayed at this Best Western for 8 days and was very impressed with the service, the accommodations, and the breakfast. The fitness center was a bit underwhelming, but everything else was on point. The cleaning service consistently maintained the coffee station which is usually the first thing that is neglected in other hotels.
Excellent place, excellent service! Couldnt be happier. We stayed 5 days!! The pool was nice. The exercise room was small, but had the necessary equipment. Food was good- they had eggs, meat, biscuits and gravy and all the normal stuff. Riley and Tyler rocked everything we needed. We had our dog and very pet friendly. We will be back!!
This little hotel offers far more than others in its price range--mini-fridge and microwave, clean and modern decor and furniture, super helpful and friendly staff, great internet, a pool and fitness center, and free breakfast!
Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Not big, but sufficient. Room smelled a little musty, but still clean. Maybe from remodeling. The pool was very clean and nice for the kids to swim. The price was a little higher than expected, but still not bad.
This hotel offers many advantages- Wonderful employees, Good price, clean property & breakfast, easy access to restaurants & expressway. This was our first visit to this area and usually pick Best Western - this one DID NOT disappoint !
This is my 3rd time staying here and each time I have been greeted very warm and treated great. The manager even remembered me from last time. Service is great, great comfortable bed and room. Breakfast seemed to have improved since last time. It was nice to see they had hot ready serve oatmeal. Will be back next time I pass through.
Only one person works the desk and takes forever to check-in or get answers to questions. Odd smell in rooms, but isn't that every hotel? Updated rooms but that's as far as the benefits of this place minus hot breakfast. Negatives: 1)walls are PAPER THIN and this is no exaggeration. I tosses all night as I could hear people opening and slamming their doors, coming all hours of the night, and having conversations in the hallways. My mother and I came here to stay so we could shop in the morning at the outlet. We each had to speak to the neighbors beside us and across from us about their unruly and disrespectful behavior, then again at 6:30 in the morning. 2)The hotel room doors SLAM shut when people don't gently shut the doors. This echoes throughout the rooms and hallways. 3)the hotel staff knows their rooms and walls suck. Honestly, just don't stay here. You will not sleep unless you can sleep through a hurricane and the end of the world.
ants in room, noisy people outside of room, no elevator. was not offered a to go bag at checkout. price was too high for what we got at a B&W. fast internet. limited continental breakfast. close to restaurants.
Called the hotel direct and made reservation (had a $10 off from a previous stay), glad I did because kind of expensive in this area. Bed and pillows comfortable, clean room. Bathroom not a bad size. Everything looked remodeled. Wood flooring when walk in and carpeting around the bed area. Had two chairs in the room, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Small closet with door. BREAKFAST: Everything you could want, hot and cold. Good seating and clean. RECEPTIONIST: very nice and helpful. Gave us a card for 10% off our meal at Applebee's which was across the parking lot. They do have other restaurants close by.
Nice clean room, very thankful they were pet friendly and didn't charge a crazy amount. I don't mind paying extra for the extra cleaning needed. It ridiculous that most “pet friendly” charge $75.00 EXTRA for an overnight stay.
Nice hotel right off highway. Great price for that area. Rooms were nicely furnished and clean. Hotel is quiet with several restaurants nearby. Sheena the receptionist was friendly and fast! Definitely will be back when I'm in the area on business.
First, this is not a 5 star resort. The rooms are dated, there is no elevator, there is a musty smell. However, the staff IS 5 STAR!!! We had a large group that enjoyed every aspect of their stay. From allowing us to use the lobby space (until late at night) to a great breakfast experience we felt a warm welcome. Our family is grateful there are family oriented businesses like this. Did not use pool, but it was clean and warm
Had less than a week to make arrangements for my large, extended family to travel in from 13 states plus Germany for my 97 year-old mother's funeral. A huge thank you to Sheena Gilley, the General Manager, and the rest of the staff at the Best Western Edinburgh/Columbus. This hotel served wonderfully as our home away from home. The staff was helpful, professional, flexible when needed, and very supportive of our purpose for being there. The hotel is clean, comfortable, updated, and the complimentary breakfast tasty and plentiful. The crew goes out of their way to make sure that you have the best possible experience during your stay. They have an arrangement with the local restaurants for a substantial discount on your meals. The entire staff treats you as though you are family. Congratulations to Sheena and her staff for doing such a great job and providing exceptional service. You are not simply a number at this hotel. Nice, in this day of impersonal service.
About a year ago I needed to travel to Edinburgh /Columbus Indiana for business. Due to scheduling I made a reservation at the local Best Western Hotel. Not my regular Hotel chain. Due to Sheena Gilley, the General Manager, and the crew she has assembled and trained, Best Western has now become my hotel of choice. The hotel is very clean, comfortable and the complimentary breakfast tasty and plentiful. The crew goes out of their way to make sure that you have the best possible experience during your stay. This even includes packing snack and fruit style lunch bags to take with you during the day. I typically stay at this hotel at least one week per month. Every time I check in, my room is ready. I just walk to the desk get my key and go to my room. They even have an arrangement with the local restaurants for a substantial discount on your meals. The entire staff treats you as though you are a long lost friend not just a guest of the hotel. Since my experience has been so great at this location I have now utilized other Best Western Hotels across the US. Congratulations to Sheena and her staff for doing such a great job and providing exceptional service.
Enjoyed a Rewards night in a renovated (per staff) room. King bed was comfortable, Microwave & fridge worked well, TERRIFIC TV channel selection & Wifi, & sitting area (sofa/small tables) was great. Bathroom is small, but loved it: mirror placement & overhead lights provided the best lighting that I've noted in MANY stays at other comparable chains. The towels were thick, had plenty of rods & hooks to hang them, exhaust fan worked, & water pressure/temp was great. Fitness center is small, but equipment worked. Breakfast fare was fine. Would return.
The hotel was average but not worth the $95 for the night. Indoor stairway, carpeted needed vacuuming. Rooms spacious but older. If you're use to staying in 5 star hotels don't stay there. Walking distance to Applebees and convenice stores.
I requested a no-pet room due to allergies, but when arrived late & tired was told the only room "had not had pets in a long time". The room seemed OK, later discovered blanket smelled of dog. Tried to sleep without it but thermostat kept resetting to 59*. Hall carpet in front of room had dog hair. Don't accept a room on the pet-friendly floor if you are not traveling with a pet!!!
We had a wonderful stay with a friendly staff. The hotel was clean and tidy and very family friendly. They accommodated our large family with 2 adjoining rooms and although we didn't utilize it, it was nice to see they are pet friendly.
From the time I booked the room reservations for 9 of us (plus 3 dogs), until our check out the following morning, the entire staff at Best Western put our mind at ease. The service, beginning with Sheena and Chris, was exceptional and all of our needs more than met. They were friendly, accommodating and quickly responded to any and all requests we had as our party included 3 dogs and 2 smaller children. Not only that, but the entire hotel was clean, including our 3 rooms, and all utilities, electronics and appliances worked perfectly. For the money, this is one of the best hotels I've stayed at in years!
I have traveled extensively over the last 36 months and I have always looked forward to my stays at this facility. Staff are very aware of the riggers of travel and ensure that I feel as close to home as possible. Room and Breakfast are top tier and equal to hotels that are more expensive. I recommend this hotel over any of the other hotels in the area.
I made a reservation at this hotel through hotels.com. And in an effort to spare you the ridiculous details from that cluster, I'll sum it up. Hotels.com essentially never made my reservation. So when I called the hotel to make sure that we were set to go they were unable to find it. Insert Brandon, the hero of our story. He was working the front desk that day and was beyond helpful. He informed me of the options I had and what I needed to do to ensure I had my place to stay. So after a few back and forth phone calls between hotels.com and Brandon, the situation worked out well. But because the booking site messed everything up, I didn't get the room I originally booked. So Brandon took it upon himself to upgrade my room to the newly renovated floor, and changed it from a queen to a double queen because of how ridiculous everything turned out. He was an absolute DREAM to work with. Constantly reassuring me that everything would work out, because I was on my way to Indiana from Chicago as I was dealing with all of this. The booking site really dropped the ball and Brandon picked it up. He was the epitome of first class service. Could not be happier with my experience. He even included a little snack bag(see picture attached) to put the icing on the cake, so to speak. The hotel was nice and clean. I have no complaints about that. But the real show stopper for this experience was the man of the hour, Brandon the front desk agent!
This property is an need of some serious upgrades. Room had an odd odor to it (pesticide, laundry detergent, carpet shampoo?), but wasn't too offensive. All linens were clean. A decent place for travelers for an overnight. Helpful staff made restaurant recommendations and offered a discount at one of them. Very nice complimentary breakfast.
The room had been updated since my last visit and was fresh and new feeling. Quiet as it was off the freeway far enough to not hear the freeway. Pool looked great but we were too tired to use it. Dog friendly which was important to me.
Good staff and great service best place to be !!!! I would stay here another night. Sheena was great when she checked out and Chris was great when he checked us in an he always had smile on his face. I called a couple days before I came in and Kayla was working an told me they had rooms an she was very fun an very perky. I recommend this place to everybody !!!
I stayed at this motel on my way to Nashville, TN. The rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast had many choices. The front desk were very helpful. Would definitely stay here again. The beds we're so comfy!
What a great hotel I really appreciate the service shown and the breakfast was amazing. One thing I that i felt could be approved would be the quality of the coffee inside the rooms but what would you expect at a reasonable price for a night
Friendly service from front desk personnel. Our group had two rooms, 215 &217 for one night. We all turned in around midnight only to be woke by welts from bug bites. We were actually able to catch one of the bugs in an empty water bottle, so we know without doubt it was bed bugs. Went the front desk and was offered to be put up in anther room. When we asked if this hotel had experienced bed bugs the attendant said they sprayed daily. The only way to get rid of bed bugs is to replace the mattresses. The attendant contacted the owner Mr.Patel who refused to put us up in another hotel, said the only thing they would do is refund our money. We will not be back for sure!
We needed to stay first floor and last one left was handicap room but it was roomy and only one bed but still worked us. It was closed to the front door but it was quiet and room was clean and comfortable.
Hotel in general had a poor smell and felt musty, and our initial room smelled like a backed-up sewer. The manager did move us for our second night, but even that room had a toilet with hair on it and a shower tub floor that was discolored & chipped. We became very congested, eyes became watery & puffy. The parking lot lighting out front is great, but only covers ~15 spots, while the parking on the sides & back is very poorly lit. Lack of security - anyone can walk into the side/back doors of the hotel during the day without a room key. The breakfast area is too small to cover the number of hotel guests. I would suggest investigating the Holiday Inn Express or other hotels across the street if you need to stay in this area, even if only for one night.
Hotel was extremely clean and well kept. Staff was professional, courteous and friendly. Front desk team very helpful. Quite possibly the best Best Western I've stayed at. I would highly recommend this hotel.
I booked my stay through Expedia and that was a DISASTER! My reservation wasn't there and the property was sold out for the room type I booked. Kayla Herndon at the Best Western went out of her way with Expedia and was able to get my family a place to stay.
This Best Western makes you feel very comfortable with bringing your pet with you. They are all truly pet lovers. The rooms are always wonderful and clean. We have never been stuck in an inferior room because we have a dog.
Our room looked and smelled clean. The staff were friendly & competent. The rate was very affordable. Everything in our room worked fine--from AC to Wi-fi to adjustable shower head. Pool area is no frills, but well-maintained. These are my main criteria in a hotel. I just want a place to be comfortable and relax in between exploring the surrounding area, and this Best Western fit the bill for my family. If you're looking for a place with brand new carpet or a state-of-the-art fitness center, then you should probably go somewhere else.
Bed did not appear clean upon arrival, stuff in between sheets that should not have been there if the sheets were clean. Next day, same sheets were still on the bed. Clean bed is the MINIMUM expectation of a hotel.....this is terrible.
We stayed here for a softball tournament so we weren't in the hotel a lot! The rooms could use some updating and smelled a little like wet dog. They were a little on the dirty side too. I also wish there was more space in the lobby for the girls to sit and play cards or visit in the evening. The breakfast was not bad but had limited selection. The pool area was decent and the pool was clean. The staff was not always visible which was a bit concerning at times. I only seen 1 front desk worker in the whole place while staying for 2 nights!
Hotel is average in everyway. My main complaint would be that the walls are paper thin. I had a room on the first floor which I know first floors are always busy and this was no different. You hear everyone within 4-6 doors in either direction every time they open and close their door. You can hear conversations and tv's in the rooms next to you and in the hall. It's a pet friendly hotel and one night I did get the misfortune of having dogs next door and non stop yapping. The next morning I noticed the dog was certified as an emotional support dog, great for the owner, horrible for guest! On the plus side my room was bug free and aside from the flooring the room was very clean. The room I had was a double bed and quite small but I didn't have to be in the room much so not a big issue although I prefer a bigger space when I travel so if space is an issue this may not be the place for you unless other rooms are bigger. Breakfast again is average but served from 6-9am so it allowed me time to be able to go eat. The owners where always ontop of cleaning and keeping us in towels ect. Appears to be family owned and a couple members don't speak or understand English but the others made up for that and they were all very friendly during my stay. Pool was kept and a nice treat on rainy days, it even has a lift to help those with handicaps to enjoy the pool as well. Chairs and towels provided, it is an indoor pool, saltwater. I think I read somewhere online it was heated but I'm thinking it's just the room itself and not so much the pool that's heated as the water was a little chilly on a couple of the days and warmer on the days the room was warmer. This hotel also has a small exercise room right off the pool room, equipped with weights, treadmill, bike and elliptical. Hotel is close to many restraunts and shopping.
Efficient, comfortable room and bathroom. Excellent bed, good layout. Excellent internet and TV. Good breakfast, helpful staff. I will stay at the BW again as opposed to the other three hotels at which I have stayed.
We will be back, and will use other BW when possible. The rooms and motels are always well maintained. The food hot and good. Better than staying at Grandma's. Personnel are well trained, and well groomed. They are mannerly and friendly.
My husband and I recently stayed at the Best Western in Edinburgh, IN. We were tired and ready to get out of the car. Check in was quick and painless compared to most of the places we've stayed recently. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and smelled nice. We needed an extra pillow and towels and they were delivered to our room within minutes. The manager was working the morning we checked out and was probably one of the friendliest hotel employees I've dealt with. We really enjoyed everything about this place. The pool was nice and breakfast was amazing! We will definitely be back!
On the night of 8-22-17, an employee by the name of Kayla made my reservation for my daughter, who was tired from driving all the way from Florida... And, I will add, out driving on Highway 65, looking for a place to stay, go very smoothly! She kindly and professionally answered every question, that a concerned mother might have, and also, took the time to give directions to the motel. After checking in, my daughter called me to say, the room was the nicest she had ever stayed in. (She has traveled a lot and stayed at a lot of motels, so that was a huge statement.) She had planned to leave by 6:00 am, but after seeing the room, she changed her mind and decided to stay until check-out time. A special thank you to Kayla for providing great customer service.
This is a wonderful hotel to stay and very convenient to many restaurants and lots of shopping. Very Clean and personnel is very helpful and polite. I hope this doe not get run down as many do. The pool area is very comfortable, breakfast had a good variety of food, and fresh. All staff was confident and friendly. Could answer any questions, and would get information if asked.
was in town for a wedding- the hotel is small but very nice- the outlet mall across the street where some of the other hotels were was crowded but the side this hotel is on was not at all- bonus! The rooms are smaller but functional and clean. the employees were nice and accommadating
We were traveling to Tennessee to visit family and needed a half way point to stay for the night with 2 14 year olds and our small dog! Not always easy to do! But with the pet friendly policy and the indoor pool plus an actual hot breakfast this hotel was perfect! Plus we didn't even know that my husband's hog membership gave us a discount! The attended noticed our vehicle and asked if he was a member. We never would have even thought to ask so that was great customer service in our eyes. While the boys utilized the pool and exercise room we had a chance to unwind with a shower....and the bathroom was set up great to my surprise!! It felt cozy and the shower head made an amazing flow ! Staying hot the entire time, with shelving that made it easy to set up my person items conveniently. We will be back for sure!
The people definitely were the strength of the hotel. The front desk, breakfast, and the guest services staff were excellent. If you had a need, it was filled promptly with a smile and a kind word. The personnel were very "down-t-earth" and made you feel like a good friend. The morning breakfast bar was always well stocked, even until closing. There was a variety of items that varied each day with everybody's favorite, the waffle machine. The rooms were spacious and updated with refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. The only problem that we encountered was checking in late and staying in a handicap room. When you select the Best Western Edinburgh/Columbus, you will be wowed by the service of Jill, Chris, Brandon, and the rest of the staff. Enjoy and don't forget the indoor pool.
My family and I attempted to spend the night here. We weren't able to spend the night, even after switching rooms. The first room had beetles, the fridge was full of water, and to top it off, there was blood and vomit in our sheets. We then changed rooms, and as we walked through the door of our new room, we were greeted with the fresh, overpowering scent of damp walls and sodden carpet. We quickly left and were forced to drive through the night. Would not recommend.
Arrives at 1:30 am after a long drive and no other hotels in the Indy area available. Front desk (Tyler) was very nice and helpful on the phone and when we arrived. Next morning left my expensive pillow. Sheena called to let us know and we picked it up a few days later on the way back thru. One of the better hotel experiences that I have had.
Great staff, rooms and appearances. Kinda hidden location and breakfast wasn't the best only because of the eggs were a little runny and they didn't have bacon. How can you not have "freedom strips" But overall a great stay, will definitely go back I'll just have to get my bacon elsewhere.
Small, quaint hotel in nice area. Rooms have been recently redone. Clean, and accommodating. I would recommend for the price. 8 minutes to downtown Columbus via highway 31. Offers free breakfast from 6-9 am. Small indoor pool. Air conditioner in rooms a little noisy but overall a good experience.
Arrived a little late but was greeted with a big warm welcome. A nice clean comfortable place to stay even for a short stay. Close to the mall, good eating places as well as shopping if you have the time. Enjoyed my stay and will return!
The staff bent over backwards for our group. We travel a lot and have seen a variety of accommodations and staff. The hotel is located in an area that has plenty of services but is behind a Taco Bell. The staff is outstanding, responsive and pleasant. A good value.
We stay in this area every year for a horse show ar the nearby Hoosier Horse Park, but this was our first stay at this Best Western. Among what we would consider reasonably priced hotels, this was the best of those we have used. Our room was nice, clean, odorless, and quiet. They are back off of the highway enough that I didn't hear traffic at all. In fact, though you can see them from the highway, you turn down a side road and go past some storage units to get to their large parking area. The rooms must have been well insulated because they were pretty full, yet I only heard one bump in another room the entire evening and night of our stay. The gentleman at the desk was friendly and cheerfully volunteered to take my heavy suitcase upstairs. We a appreciated having plenty of soft fluffy towels...these can be a rare commodity at some of our usual horse show hotels. Everything at the breakfast area was fresh and well stocked. They had waffles, a couple hot items, fresh fruits, cereals, pastries, bread, bagels and a refrigerator with several types of yogurt, jello and boiled eggs. There was also a sign posted saying that dairy free and gluten free choices were available on request. Overall, we had a very good experience at this hotel and will probably return next year.
This is a very nice hotel with wonderful amenities. I will return here when I recuperate from the heart attack I had a day after I left. Had it not been for this Inn and it's wonderful staff my return trip would have been much worse.
Overall experience was better than I expected. Hotel improvements and quality of the staff has made this hotel my primary choice for any future stays in this area. Improvements in the quality of the breakfast food product and improving the available equipment in the fitness room will place this facility on par with the surrounding competition.
This is an older property that has been decently updated. It looks a little rougher on the outside than on the inside. It is clean, comfortable and convenient. I would stay there again. Right across from lots of restaurants and the outlet mall.
Nice friendly staff, very willing to help and provide great advice. 10% restaurant discounts were great. Breakfast had many options and was well stocked. Getting on and off the highway is challenging - driveway is quite narrow and rough.
The room and entire hotel smelled awful. The bathroom floor hasn't been cleaned in a very long time. The phone was filthy. The staff was very nice. The bed was comfortable too. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone else!
This hotel and their staff are absolutely wonderful. The GM, Sheena actually cares about her hotel and you've got to meet the front desk lady, Anita. She will make your stay comfortable and is knowledgeable about surrounding areas and not make you feel like 'just a typical tourist' I travel a lot and it's nice to be able to come back every time to this hotel and feels like 'being home on the road.'
Thank you all for the great customer service! Although they were extremely busy I was made to feel like they were happy I was there. Great rooms, great breakfast, great pool, great customer service and all around a wonderful relaxing trip! I will return to visit as this is a great place near shopping and restaurants. Thanks Again!
For the price the room worked. Dirty towel behind bathroom door missed by cleaning. Room had an odor we bought room freshener for our stay. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was limited. No eggs only protein was bacon.
Excellent location for shopping and tournament in Franklin. Very pet friendly, rooms were clean, bed comfortable. Breakfast was eeeh. Friendly staff. Pool open late which is a plus with kids. Felt like the price was a little high for the quality received.
This was a good stop on the road. We got 10% off at Applebys for staying at Best Western. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was filling. I would stay again if I was coming this way. It was nice that the person doing the checking in advised of the 3 restaurants in the area that would give a 10% discount.
The Best Western in Edinburgh is truly a great place for you and your family to stay if you have dogs they have designated rooms for you. I highly recommend on your visit to stay here. So you all spend time with the Staff here.
Anita, Sheena, Tyler, Chris, and Trish were all extremely helpful and friendly. Always took time to listen to any requests and followed up a quickly as possible. The entire hotel was clean and well kept...Breakfast stocked and always on time.
God smiled down from the skies when he created this paradise on Earth. Blessed with some of the best people on earth to run and manage it, It is what Webster had in mind when he added "Awesome" to the dictionary. Anita and the others will make you feel like you have lived there all your life, and, you MAY choose to do so after a short stay. The hot breakfast is to die for. It will leave you smiling all day long, and often you will forget what you were supposed to be doing at work. The pool is a total vacation from reality itself. It will make you avoid Panama City at all cost. And then there's the gym. I lost 20 ponds of fat and gained 25 pounds of solid muscle. In closing, I will just add, when I die, I may not go to Heaven, Just let me stay at this Best Western! It is, after all, Heaven on earth! 20 STARS!
The hotel was clean and attractive with helpful and friendly staff. The breakfast was wonderful. Coffee was readily available which was extremely important to us. The room provided all the amenities we needed, We enjoyed it immensely.
A nice clean, comfortable place to get away from home, even if it's only for one night. Close to the mall, places to dine, other shopping areas as well. Great location. Price may be a little steep, but hey, you get what you pay for!!!
Check-in and check-out staff friendly and helpful. Room was good; pet-friendly a plus. Breakfast just fine. Fitness room inadequate; needs to be bigger, needs exercise- friendly floor and new equipment
The room was clean and quiet with newly updated furnishingsand a comfy bed. The price was right !Breakfast was quite good. We will be back..The young man at the front desk was enthusiastic and helpful and encouraged me to be honest with any suggestions to be made regarding improvements needed. I did suggest that a few tea bags with the inroom doffee maker would be nice. Otherwise it was a lovely room.
We visited Columbus, IN in Sept 2016 due to a family illness. Since we were not able to stay with family, we needed somewhere to stay for two weeks. Since we were going to be there for a while, we decided that my husband would also work while we were up there visiting since his job allows him to work in any state. As we were online looking for places to stay, we came across this hotel. We saw the heated, indoor pool and got very excited since we have a 6 year old daughter who would be there as well. We called the hotel directly and confirmed that this was the place with the indoor pool, even went as far to say "the one with the palm trees painted on the walls" to which they confirmed that we were looking and talking about the same place. When we checked into the hotel late Thursday night, my husband and daughter couldn't wait to go swimming. The front desk said that the pool was still open, so they hurried up and got changed and in they went. Only after getting in did they realize that the pool was ice cold. They were talking to each other in the pool saying how cold it was and that's when a lady sitting in the pool area said "oh, this pool has been broken for a week" We asked the front desk what was wrong and they told us that they had someone coming to fix it. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, nothing. Still broken. Then Monday afternoon, we noticed a sign that said that the pool was closed for scheduled maintenance. Our family that came to pick us up since my husband had the car while he was working, they asked the front desk about the pool maintenance and the lady's response was "well, it's really just broken. You can go in if you want" We were stuck. We felt like we gave them more than enough time to get it fixed and with lies and not to mention, them not telling us upon check in that it was broken, even after we asked how late the pool was open, we were furious. My husband worked all day Monday and Tuesday. Monday morning, we got woke up by loud banging. We found out then that the hotel was under remodel (which was not mentioned to us either) There were loud noises, saws, hammers, big machines outside, the list goes on and on. By Tuesday night, another day with no heated pool, we were done. We went and found another hotel to stay at starting Wednesday so we didn't have to pack everything up with a 6 year old late at night. We talked to the manager on duty and told them all the issues we were having and told her that when we were online looking for another hotel in the area, we noticed that the price we were paying per night was more than it was showing online. She did give us the same rate of the online price and one night for free. That was it. She said it was our fault we didn't check out earlier. We explained to her that because of the situation we were in and the lies that they kept saying that they were getting the pool fixed, that it why we had to stay as long as we did. We checked in late Thursday night and checked out first thing Wednesday morning. The manager said her hands were tied and what she did for us was all she was allowed to do. We called the corporate office to let them know and they did NOTHING!!! This place has bugs, was dirty, the breakfast was edible, but that was it, it was loud, we could smell cigarette smoke coming from a room across the hallway (the whole hotel is non-smoking), the weight limit on dogs is 80lbs with no breed restrictions. There were big, aggressive dogs allowed in the hallways. This is in no way, shape or form a good hotel. The place is a dirt bag hotel. NEVER STAY HERE!!
Was going shopping at the potlet mall and it is close but across the main highway so you have to drive to the mall. That part I did not particularly like , but it was quit and staff was friendly and helpful. The room we had was newly remodeled. The breakfast was good as well.
This hotel is a pleasure all around. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Beautifully updated decor. Clean remodeled rooms spacious, comfortable and relaxing. Great hot breakfast, much more than the basic even included a warm prepared breakfast. burrito !
This place was close and convenient to Edinburgh Outlets and to restauramts. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was very very good. The indoor swimming pool was very nice and the pool water was warm and comfortable.
Spent a week at this Best Western, chosen for its location. Front office staff when at the desk were very friendly. They were remodeling and I was told I was in a remodeled room. Based on what I could see it wasn't completely finished. The bathroom still needed repainted above the shower. Housekeeping staff were awesome and the room was always clean. It is located across from the shopping center where there were also located several restaurants. The one downside was they allow pets and I have several flea bites. I did mention it to the front desk. Breakfast was very good with many choices each morning. I would stay there again.
Very nice room. Clean. Good shower. Good breakfast. Helpful staff. I don't know if I will ever be back but I would definitely stay here again. Very nice for the price. We missed the sign on the way in. GOOGLE maps was correct but we missed it. Stay and enjoy.
We had an excellent experience at this hotel. The staff is wonderful! They were helpful and professional. I had a problem with my car and they recommended someone to help me. The breakfast area was neat, clean and well stocked with a variety of items.
The employees are all fantastic!! The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean, the pool is glorious! The new renovations are fantastic! Breakfast is phenomenal! Small hotel with big hotel amenities!
First of all, we came back for another stay, which says a lot by itself. There were a few issues on our first stay that were dealt with immediately by a very friendly staff. Everything was quite nice this trip. Breakfast was top-notch; they have quite a selection! Room was clean and comfortable, and well-lit (which is somewhat hard to find these days). Will look forward to our next trip through this area; we will return. We have also recommended it to relatives and friends.
Top notch hotel with terrific service. From front desk to kitchen, everyone was great. Breakfast variety was excellent and the morning staff was pleasant and patient. Although breakfast was over at 9am, some guests were still straggling in and the staff said not to hurry, take their time and have a nice breakfast. The front desk was helpful when the guest computer internet wasn't working correctly and was so patient in getting it set up for us to use. Asking for more towels was never a hassle and the overall stay was simply great. The beds were very comfortable and the drapes were awesome, as the morning came but the room was as dark as night until the drapes were pulled open. Best drapery I've encountered while staying in a hotel! Would recommend this hotel for sure. The desk clerk service was exceptional, especially their evening clerk who gave us directions to avoid construction delays, recommended areas to visit to find housing, and was simply professional and friendly. This is a very well run establishment.
Had a very nice stay, with just capped off a nice conference that we attended. Service, Hospitality, and Facilities, are all outstanding. We ate breakfast the next morning, and really enjoyed it. We were attending a grandmother's conference in the area. We definitely will be back.
We definitely recommend this hotel. We have a 4 year old so we wanted to stay at a hotel with a pool and this is the best value we found. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff were very accommodating. Also, the rooms were updated and very clean!
We stayed at the Edinburgh Best Western on Sept. 19. We stopped at the BW to check on accomodations for one night. Sheena was the front desk person and did a wonderful job of making us feel welcome and showed us a room to help us decide if we wanted to stay there. The hotel is recently renovated and felt fresh and clean. Sheena checked on us while we were enjoying the pool to see if we needed anything and even turned the temp. up for the pool heater. We had a pleasant evening and restful night followed by a great hot breakfast the next morning. Friendly and hard working people like Sheena made our stay a very pleasant experience!
I would not stay at any other Hotel in the area. Staff is Great. Location is Great. Rooms are always clean and neat. Breakfast is very nice. I have stayed here half a dozen times in the last year. BEST PLACE TO STAY IN THE AREA...
This was definitely an older hotel. However, the room we had was a newly renovated room. There was very little noise in our room. The first floor suite had a king bed, sleeper sofa and a chair. Unfortunately, the pool was closed for maintenance. Breakfast was not bad; they served muffins, toast, bagels, biscuits and gravy, breakfast burritos, waffles and fruit. The hotel sits back behind Taco Bell and Applebee's. The Premium Outlet Mall is across the street.
The salt water pool area was nice & clean. The lobby & entrance was very welcoming! We pre-booked with a group & were placed upstairs; that was fine with us. However upon arrival, the hotel was in disarray. Renovations were happening with our group having no prior knowledge of it. We were assigned our room & hauled out stuff upstairs. No elevator--not disclosed that info either. Only a 2-story hotel but we are with a sports group & had lots of baggage. After walking upstairs, there was construction. Materials & trash EVERYWHERE! We had to weave in & out around sinks, toilets, hardware, etc to find our room. The room itself was newly complete, but was missing a wall thermostat. There was a dog barking loudly in a nearby room. We went to front desk to be placed on first floor away from all construction & the front desk man was very rude & insisted it would cost $5 to move downstairs. he insisted I knew about the upper level room. I explained I want aggravated about being upstairs. I was aggravated with the amount of renovation and construction debris & that not being disclosed to us. He brushed it off & said we didn't know till yesterday either. Finally placed our group downstairs & placed a $5 charge for every member of our group. 3 rooms complained of their carpet, beds & room having condensation. Sheets & clothes they brought were damp the next morning. The breakfast was great! Hot food & cold food both with someone keeping everything stocked and filled. The bright spot was Shena who worked the front desk the following day. She was very attentive & helpful in listening to our complaints.
Think upscale Springhill Suites with sleek modern clean decor, really comfortable beds. Very accommodating staff, goes out of way and Indiana nice. For people eating healthy, breakfast does not offer much--red delicious apples/granola bars. Bath tub drain plug did not seal. Bathroom built for people 5' and below--Lilliputian! But everything is very clean .
I have been to this location several times, the efficiency of the staff here can not be beat, the quality of the hotel for the price is good and the location is desirable for shopping and dining out, many choices available.
Stayed 4 nights, First night was ok, the room had a little stink to it, second night had a Roach crawling on me and when I turned on the light, the Roach was on my pillow. Third night started having bug bites, The staff was extremely nice and the hot breakfast was great, hotel is pet friendly and that's why I stayed
This is a cozy hotel with great service. It is quiet within the rooms, well maintained and always looking to make sure your stay was a good one. A nice breakfast with many choices whether you like hot or cold.
This hotel is evidently older, but the personnel are extremely engaged. We were very happy with everyone we encountered. The rooms are outdated but comfortable and clean. The breakfast was ready on time, and there were also breakfasts to go for those in a hurry.
No issues with my stay. I would have liked to have a light over my work station area but by moving the floor lamp close to the desk achieved the same results. the breakfast items were hot and fresh. the complete staff was nice and friendly and helpful when asking for directions to restaurants and other business locations. would stay here again. thanks.
We enjoyed our stay in the Best Western in Edinburgh, IN, although it was brief. We arrived late at night in a thunderstorm that had slowed traffic and put us hours behind schedule. We were checked in quickly and given directions to our destination. The next morning breakfast was a good start to the day, and the smiles of the staff brightened the day.
My husband had me look for a hotel to stay in for the night around Edinburgh! After reading several reviews we decide to stay at the Best Western. I called and made reservations and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Now let me also add that I am a bit of a hotel snob! I am very picky about hotels and usually don't do Best Western at all. However on a recent road trip to Americus, Ga. we gave one a try and it was awesome. So back to my review. We arrived around 7:30 and there are numerous restaurants around the area, which is very nice. We checked in and went to our room. It had been recently renovated and was beautiful. Very clean with plenty of towels and wash cloths. The bathroom is a little short on counter space but that seems to be becoming common. The bed was very comfortable and had 6 pillows, which made me happy ! We had a very good nights sleep and it was very quite. We went out for their breakfast around 8:40 am. Which I was a little worried about, since they quit serving breakfast at 9. But they had plenty of fresh and actually pretty good food available. I was very impressed. Usually by this time breakfast is cold and sparse. But not here. I would definitely recommend staying here if your in the area. Very pleasant experience.
I have stayed at this hotel many times and will not stay anyplace else in the area. STAFF is the best, go out of there way to please everyone. Breakfast is great, Pool, Fitness Center. all very clean. If your looking for a wonderful place to stay in the area, don't waste time looking, just book here and enjoy>
Worth the stay. Clean rooms with friendly courteous staff who are eager to assist. Our daughter was sick and the night clerk offered to get a banana for her to help settle her stomach. If in the area this is a must stay!!!!!! The morning clerks were courteous and assisted us greatly! The breakfast was tasty and plenteous.
very nice and very friendly helpful staff breakfast was cooked to perfection swimming pool was great and plenty of towels outside was very clean and plenty of parking spaces if you need they will do your laundry and return it to your room if needed
If you looking for accommodations in Edinburgh, look no further. Our schedule only allowed us to stay one night this time but yet another wonderful stay. The staff is great. Clean rooms, respectful housekeeping, great breakfast, newly remodeled. We will gladly stay again when we are in the area. Would place at the top of the list of all the hotels in Edinburgh.
I stayed here for an extended time, 15 days. Will and Trish were amazing. These 2 made me feel like I was a welcome addition to their family. They are friendly caring, knowledgeable and an asset to the best Western hotel. My room was clean, freshly remodeled and super quiet. I will be staying here again next time I am in town and look coward to seeing my two new friends.
We had a very good experience staying here. The rooms were decorated nice and were clean as well. The continental breakfast was excellent. They had a great selection. They even made grab bags in case you missed breakfast. The lobby is very updated and clean. What stands out the most is the staff. Very polite and caring. They really take pride in their job. I highly recommend this hotel.
Our one night stay was very pleasant and enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and so helpful. Thank you Trish. We received great discounts at the Mall our dinner was discounted (like you said) because of our stay at the Best Western. Loved the fact that everything we needed was within walking distance. The breakfast however was a little generic. Tipical for a ordinary hotel service style breakfast. When your service is rated excellent, your breakfast meal should be as such. Over all, really good service.
For starters we would like to thank Best Western and the Best Western Edinburgh. Our stay was pleasant, and thankfully quiet. We are happy to report that there were no major problems. We have learned over the years to immediately go check out the room before lugging our belongings to it and then find problems. Upon entering the room we found that the toilet did not flush. Went back downstairs and reported the problem. Staff was quite nice and immediately gave us the room next door to the first room. Checked that room and found that it was rather dark. Turned on all the lights and it was still dark. Found one light that didn't work. We figured it was a burned out bulb, so while I was getting another bulb to try, my wife pulled up the plug from behind the bed......the fixture wasn't even plugged in, and it was next to impossible to get behind the headboard to fix the problem, so we gave up. It was obvious that the cleaning staff doesn't check to make sure things in the room are in working order (ie: toilet, light fixtures). One other item of interest: they have motion detectors on most of the switches. Overall it seems to be a great idea. That is, until you sit at the desk to work on a laptop only to have the table lamp go off every 5 minutes! Why? Well, the switch for that lamp is at the door to the room - at the other end of the room. When nobody is coming in or out of the room, the motion detector turns off the light. Poor planning! The rest of the stay was quite enjoyable. Breakfast was quite nice. Not really a problem, but a slight mistake in layout is that all silverware, napkins, trash, and can't remember what else was situated within one foot of the waffle-maker (one of the most-used items). People couldn't get into that area without having to ask whoever was making a waffle to keep moving out of the way. Suggestion is to spread things out some. We discussed the lighting problems with the front desk when checking out. Staff was wonderful, and really seemed to care about getting things in proper order. We look forward to our next trip to the area and will definitely plan to stay at the Best Western Edinburgh.
We were tired after a long day of driving when we checked into this hotel. The front desk staff (Wil) was so accommodating and helpful that he gave us the positive energy we needed to enjoy the evening. Had a great nights sleep.
A little pricey, nice hotel, used the outdoor grill to cookout / tail gate the 2nd night we stayed, front desk was helpful with suggesting places to eat. Close to Softball park which was very convenient.
Frequent traveler, 140+ nights/year. I am a lifetime diamond elite in one hotel program and spire elite in another. In order to save my company a few bucks this year, I have found some excellent values in a few Best Western hotels in the states I travel and trying to use BW once a week. I've got around 15-20 nights this year in BW. First time here. Check-in was excellent. Hotel appears to have had a make-over recently. Room was nice but a closer look revealed the age. Internet speed was good which is important for business traveler. Bed comfortable. Breakfast area was small but had a nice variety of items. The two things that will probably keep me from staying here in the future: 1) the light on the desk was connected to a motion sensor by the door. Every 10 minutes I had to walk over to the door to reactivate the motion sensor and turn on the light; during 3 hours of work I had to go through this ritual over 15 times. I could have switched the refrigerator plug and light plug but I had food items that needed refrigerated. 2) They have high def flat panel TV's but no HD channels. I tried to watch the NBA finals in the tv and the picture was terrible. I've noticed that most of the BW's I stay in don't have HD channels on the tv. Fortunately, I was able to pick up the game on my iPad for a crisp, clear picture.
my experience at best western was very satisfactory. location was near many good dining options and access to the interstate was handy.staff was friendly and helpful when I asked for information. appearance of lobby was nice and the breakfast provided was fresh and tasty
Great value tucked in between all the higher priced chains! New carpeting , bathrooms, bedding. New flatscreens. Very accomodating people. Cracker Barrel across the street. Outlet shopping. I'm running out of things to say
This hotel has completed renovations since I stayed there a year ago. The difference is like night and day! Rooms are clean and the service was excellent! The pool has been resurfaced and the work out room, though small, is efficient and clean. Breakfast is hot with eggs, sausage and waffles. Very satisfied with my stay there.
This hotel is an excellent choice for your stay. There are four people in our group and we stay here about three weeks each year. We always choose this hotel because it is reasonably priced, managed well, accommodating and very friendly. The breakfast is delicious with a lot of options. The pool is clean and the water is warm. The water pressure in the shower is wonderful. At the end of the day Trish greets us with a friendly hello, a little conversation and is always helpful if we need anything. The rooms are clean, quiet and the beds are very comfortable. It is conveniently located across from the outlet mall and major restaurants. It is our #1 choice for the Edinburgh area.
First time staying at this hotel. Clean and reasonably priced. Good breakfast, lots of hot items and seemed to be prepared and stocked well. It seemed to be recently renovated, the staff mentioned of more renovations planned, they have done a nice job so far. I stayed in room 104. The room was cozy and felt like home for my 4 day stay. The front desk was amazing at answering any questions and telling me about local attractions and great places to eat. Taku (japanese restaurant) was a great suggestion..
One of the best places I have stayed. Clean comfortable and convenient It was suggested by the staff member to check out local ice cream parlor in Columbus that started business in 1900 something I would not have seen but the experience was beyond great Thanks
We stayed at this hotel back in November of 2015. If I was writing a review for this stay I would give it about 2 1/2 stars. The breakfast was cold the gravy for biscuits and gravy was like soup. the pool was closed and the rooms were so so. They said they were renovating all the rooms. But I am reviewing our most recent stay and I have to give it 4 STARS. The breakfast was awesome. The rooms were completely remodeled. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was open and great. Will definitely be staying here again.
I stay at this Hotel about 6 times a year. the location is great and staff always have time to help you in any way. I will be back in the area soon and will stay here next time also, Hotel is within walking distance of shopping ..
New to the Best Western experience, and I was disappointed. Staff was friendly enough, and the breakfast was good. But things started off on the wrong foot. While lugging my two bags into the hotel and heading to my second floor room, I was informed there was NO elevator. Stairs just don't cut it after a tiring day of driving. I was too tired to go thru the hassle of asking for a room change to the first floor. I've just come to expect a "lift". It has taught me to ask in the future.
Very good experience. Super clean, very new furnishings and friendly staff. Good location close to Indianapolis but not in city. Excellent value and would recommend for anyone stopping overnight in the area.
We did not have an advance reservation, my son found location on cell phone when I wore out between Louisville & Indy, checked in late with courteous front desk person, comfortable room, slept very well, enjoyed a very good warm breakfast, and got on our way quickly due to express check out!
Our family stopped here on our way back from Tennessee...exhausted and ready to rest. We were pleasantly surprised by the hotels cleanliness and modern motiff. It was quiet, pool was clean and inviting and the staff were very helpful. Wifi was fast and the continental breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of items. Wish we had longer to stay there! One suggestion....pool could have been a little warmer. Overall great experience.
Great pool!!! Always awesome beds. The staff was very helpful in correcting a problem from a previous visit and made my husband and I feel; like old friends. The food was very good including waffles and scrambled eggs and biscuits and gravy. many other cold foods also.
Overall a good stay at the Horizon Inn. Easy off and on to the interstate. The beds are super comfortable had a great night sleep. Staff very friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and in working order.
It wasn't the worst but wasn't the best either...2nd floor room and keys didn't work first time. Staff was friendly and took care of it. Coffee stirrer on the floor and bathroom faucet (hot) didn't have a stop (had to turn the knob just right to get it to stop. Breakfast was good so overall, an average stay but decent price.
Rooms were just renovated. Excellent choice of style with room decor! I felt very comfortable staying in the room, did not feel like a typical hotel room stay! Very pleased with the decor selection! I would recommend staying here!
Hotel is undergoing renovations but with minimal impact on my stay. Pleasant atmosphere with friendly workers. Breakfast was good and the new carpet was nice. Convenient hotel with wifi accessibility, great choice for a nice value in the Edinburgh area right across from a big outlet mall. I was referred to a Mexican restaurant next door by the gas station-great recommendation, wonderful food and service but I forget the name of the place.
Me and my husband stopped in on our way to Frankfort to see family. We always look for Best Westerns as we are Diamond members and have never had a bad experience. This Best Western did not let us down! We could see they were renovating. We stayed in one of the new rooms and it was absolutely beautiful. One of the nicest hotel rooms we have every stayed in! We have stayed at a couple of the other htoels across the street and while they were nice the Best Western is a better value for our money. Breakfast was nice as well. I was surprised by the choices with having a smaller breakfast space! Thanks for taking care of us, we will definitely be back!!
Great choice of motel for overnight stay. Just off the highway. Good experience. Good quality for your dollar. Pleasant staff. Very nice rooms. We had a king size bed which was very comfortable. We truly enjoyed the breakfast which was offered to us in the morning. We will be back again.
Stayed here for one night, room was comfortable. One thing I don't understand with Best Western chains is the pillows.....they are just like using a throw pillow....yes you have 4 on your bed ( if using a double/queen size ) but it drives me nuts to lay my head down on such a small pillow. Anyway, I awoke before 5 in the morning, stepped outside to have a smoke and I noticed that the gentleman was getting breakfast set out for patrons. Surprised when breakfast starts at 6:30 so by the time we got back down for breakfast things had been sitting way too long.
This is a good place to stay if you are visiting the Smoky Mts. Everyone was nice. Full breakfast. Across from several good restaurants, laundry, grocery store, gas. Pleasant place to stay if you want to be near Smoky Mts but outside the crowded Gatlinburg area. 5 minute drive into park.
Everything that we experienced was pleasant. We did not take part in the breakfast. The wifi was good and the staff was extremely accommodating. Discounts offered at local restaurants which was encouraging and the first time I had experienced that when traveling.
Good rate, great staff. Always use ths hotel and never have a problem. Great breakfast, quiet area and close to where I need to be. Parking is free and plenty of it Would be a convienent place to stay if I was shopping for Christmas at the outlet mall..
Old Best Western - needs total renovation. Room had following problems - door that wouldn't close, paint and tub caulking cracked and peeling, no hot water for a shower (luke- warm at best), lights that wouldn't work, a well below average breakfast, and a front desk that "forgot" my 0730 wake-up call.
The room was clean and comfortable. Would stay here again if in the area. The breakfast area was well maintained and had a good selection. We had our 4 year old grandson with us and he was pleased with the friendliness of the staff.
Sarah was very helpful grate location lots of places to eat, shopping it was right off the interstate perfect location for what we needed. Motel was very comfortable and clean. With this all said we had a very positive stay, even had an indoor pool that was enjoyable for the kids.
nice people yet disorganized. Was given a key to a room on arrival, room was already occupied. Pool was out of service. Breakfast was hot and what I had expected. Location is good. Halls needed vaccum
Evening desk clerk was very rude 10/29/2015. I did not get my emergency message. I requested fresh towels and never received them. I will not be staying at the BWH Inn. As a customer we do not need to hear you are having a bad day, or just coming to work.
mattresses need to be changed. Egg dish at breakfast is poor quality.Pool has been closed for a while and should be open . A hot tub would be nice . Most other hotels have one ...with late hours. They should have designated pet friendly rooms and other rooms that Never have pets.Hotel staff is professional and good.
Very comfortable stay after a long drive. Did not have the breakfast, but it did look very well prepared. Would stay here again. The area has a lot of good food options and a very nice outlet mall. I suggest Max & Ermas for an excellent selection or Montana Mike's for a great cut of steak.
Very clean hotel with excellent customer service. Breakfast area clean and well stocked with a variety of choices. Will use this hotel again since I travel this way often. The fact that the hotel clean, the staff polite and everything was up to the standards of a Best Western I did not have any problems during my stay.
We have stayed at this hotel a number of times and always receive first-rate service. Rooms are clean and nice. In-room coffee and free breakfast are a plus. Employees are courteous and helpful. We recommend this Best Western highly.
I enjoyed my stay very much, the staff is friendly and the rooms are very nice I will definitely be staying here again and will recommend it to all my friends, the biscuits and gravy breakfast was awesome
The hotel was very reasonably priced and clean. This was our last stay before reaching home on a two week trip. It is a small facility, no elevator. The staff was friendly and helpful on directing us to a local place for dinner. The breakfast was adequate.
My family and I stayed here while on our way to Indianapolis with the plan to shop at the Outlet stores across the road in the evening. The hotel had been recently remodeled with less than stellar results. The staff were very friendly and recognized my rewards status upon check-in but that is about the extent of the excellence at this location. The hotel looked nice from the remodel but upon entering our room it felt stuffy and humid. The furnishings and beds were very comfortable and met our needs with two queen beds for the four of us. The bathroom was extremely small with almost no counter space for placing things. The shower was a huge disappointment as the knob was extremely finicky to get the right temperature and the spray was lacking in both volume and coverage. Our heating and air was functional but was not able to keep a constant temperature in the room it was either too hot or too cold. During the night the room seem to become even more humid and this was evident throughout the hotel as there were towels down in the hallway when we left in the morning. The breakfast was satisfactory with sausage, biscuits, gravy, and waffles as choices along with pastries and toast. The breakfast area was small but adequate and the coffee was actually pretty good. If in the area again I would probably look at one of the other hotel choices to stay based on my experience this time.
Drawback with second floor room, no elevator and my wife's large, heavy suitcase but desk clerk offered to help and overall the staff provided outstanding service. The morning breakfast server Tina waited on clean up for my return from walk and morning desk clerk Vanessa also very accomodating in our leisurely check out.
We're platinum best western members thru our Harley Owners Group, and upon arrival on our bikes, we were promptly greeted w/ a spacious, clean, and comfortable room, along w/ a gift bag of drinks and snacks. Mark, the desk clerk, suggested a couple places to eat, but, really after riding for about 7+ hours from SE Ohio, we were just ready for a shower and sleep. The place was quiet, easily slept all night long, decent breakfast in the morning.
