Best Western Eau Claire South

Check in was good, clerk was pleasant. Room was clean as expected and bath was good. Beds were comfortable and had a good nights rest. We towed a boat and parking wasn't a problem. The breakfast bar was adequate but nothing to scream about. Meh. Two other nits: property has shampoo and conditioner in dispenser on wall but NO product in them, and ceiling in bathroom had paint, drywall peeling off. Why wouldn't you fix that?

Mold grout in the shower, poor breakfast, rude ones running it. If you have a boat or any type of trailer they prefer you not stay there or wa t you to park in someone else's parking lot, even though their are plenty of parking spots. We had a small boat that it and our truck full of fishing supplies, etc and guy at the front desk wanted is to park in another stores parking lot where you couldn't even see your vehicle. He tried to tell us it wasn't fair to paying customers, even though I stayed up all night watching our vehicle due to alot of kids,etc walking through all hours of the night, and not one time was the parking lot full. He ended up banning us from staying there again. I hope everyone reads this and considers stay somewhere else as their are better and cheaper places to stay at in the area.

Room smelled so bad like pet smells and urine

We have been committed to the Best Western brand since 2018. We didn't get to the Diamond status by accident. The customer service, cleanliness of the property and the maintenance and upkeep of equipment and property have continued to become a major problem at Best Western hotels. There is very little that I look forward to when staying at BW. Very limited food options were available. Just the same ol' Best Western breakfast. Not very good to eat or look at. The toilet had not been cleaned and had poop stuck to the top of the rim. None of the drains drained. The shower head needed to be cleaned as there were only half of the holes that had water coming out. All the corners of the room had dirt. The sheets seemed "pilly" and not a fresh new feel to them. There was dirt/sand in the elevator and other corners in the hotel. The first thing the Desk Clerk said was "Do I have a pet?" (I did not). Not "welcome" or "Thank you for selecting Best Western". She was very difficult to understand. She didn't acknowledge my Diamond Status. All in all this has become more normal at most of the Best Western Hotels. The quality and Customer Service continues to deteriorate. This will be the last time I will choose to stay at a Best Western Hotel.

Our room was NOT clean, especially the bathroom. Carpeting was ragged & torn. Cleanliness of bed linens definitely questionable. We may travel with a canine, but we are clean people & respect others property. Avoid this Best Western if you can.

This hotel was very clean and the shower was really nice with plenty of hot water. we just had a standard room and it was fine, however we had to go out and buy pillows as the ones they provide were the size of a larger throw pillow, smaller than a standard size pillow. very uncomfortable. Never saw staff the two days we were there except checking in. If you wanted a cocktail/beer you had to ring a bell. I thought that was less than professional. The breakfast was just ok but very limited and out of items. good area and lots of shopping/restaurants near by. not too far from downtown area. overall would still give this a 4.5 stars. and would stay there again.

I had the most extraordinarily bizarre experience at this hotel. It was not good. Mostly unremarkable until checkout where it took a hard turn. I was ready to head out about 6am and needed a receipt. No one at the desk. Waited a few minutes but needed to get on the road. There was a person going back and forth in the breakfast area but no one else around. I went and knocked on the kitchen door and found a man watching TV and arranging slices of bread on a tray. I said ‘Good morning – is there someone who can help me with checkout? I need a receipt.' And the guy sighed heavily – like actually huffed – ripped off his gloves and threw them and headed out to the front desk. ‘Room number' he said. I gave it to him. He briefly checked the computer and, walking back to the kitchen, said ‘if you didn't have one under your door the hotel doesn't print you one. It'll be emailed.' He was almost back to the kitchen and I said ‘thanks for your help'. His reply was ‘thanks for your common sense.' Common sense about the receipt? Still unsure. It got worse from there. He was so angry it was ridiculous. I do not know about what, but I can't believe the way he treated me. I still needed to understand why I couldn't get a receipt and he told me I must have made the reservation through a third party. I let him know I didn't use a third party and then he just started pretending I wasn't there. Full on ignoring me like a little child. Weird. The only thing I can figure about the receipt is that I used rewards points for part of the stay. Otherwise there was nothing unusual about it. Reservation made through bestwestern.com. Also, he was wrong. I never received a receipt by email either. I want to be very clear that this was not your typical disinterested/rude type of poor service. It was full on emotional meltdown disdain and anger. This dude has no business working in hospitality and I'm still a little shocked about the whole thing. I didn't deserve to be treated that way. No one does. If you would like to be treated with basic human decency consider any other option.

This Best Western checks all the boxes for a decent guest experience: comfortable bed, clean room, and good location. It didn't blow me away, but it was perfectly fine for a short stay. The hotel is located off I-94 on the south side of town, and there are multiple restaurants and stores within a five-minute drive. There is also a Chinese restaurant next door. I would not describe the service as over-the-top, but the staff were efficient and polite. We stayed in a standard room with two queen beds, which was very clean (no cleanliness issues of any type!) and appeared to be renovated recently. However, our room (318) had a faint cigarette odor upon arrival. When I reported it, they sprayed air freshener, which removed the worst of the smell. Other: 1. This hotel has a bar in the lobby where you can purchase alcoholic beverages, as well as a few slot machines. We did not use these features. 2. They have a free breakfast, but the food quality was mediocre overall. It fills the gap, but I've seen much better at other Best Westerns. 3. Two of the garbage cans were overflowing during our entire stay. This hotel is not perfect by any means, but it is reasonably priced and clean. If you are looking for a higher-class or brand new hotel, you will probably want to look at another property. A few improvements could make this an excellent option. They provide the basics, and I would consider staying here again.

The overall stay was ok except for the few things that weren't. I was happy to see a tub in the bathroom which meant I could have a nice, long soak after a long day. What I noticed during that soak were discolorations in the grout that I couldn't help but think looked like blood. I also noticed that the fan vent needed a very good dusting! Unfortunately, the bed was too firm for my husband which caused him to get less than adequate sleep. So, at 3 am he went down to the lobby to buy a snack from the coolers at the front desk. At first, the desk clerk told him that he could not use his card and did he have cash? He said that he did have cash and handed the clerk a $20 bill. The clerk then told him that he did not have change for a $20 and then said that he could use his card! What!!?? By that time, he was over it and said "forget it!" It's the little things that are the big things! We did partake in the breakfast in the morning (especially because someone was still hungry.) The breakfast was good but seem a little unorganized in the flow of things.

Room was very clean and had an amazing amount of pillows! No weird odors, like many other hotels. Did not utilize the bar/lounge area, but it looked like a great place to mingle with a group while staying there. Continental breakfast had a great variety of items.

There was a wasp in the room, which stung my cat. I had to kill it with the makeup towel and use a soap bar to get it into the toilet. Then when I went to bathe, I grabbed a rolled towel off the shelf and a medium size spider fell out onto the bathroom floor. Absolutely disgusting. They should be having a bug company coming monthly to spray like I had one come to my storage facility I managed.

I always consult the TripAdvisor reviews when staying in an unfamiliar town, I liked this one just fine, I booked the King suite which gives you the extra seating area to eat or do some work, great value, really big TVs for the space, comfortable mattress, very clean, no complaints on the room, also very handy location for food, groceries, all within walking distance, breakfast was standard, all good

Very clean! Professional and courteous staff, breakfast area was clean and kept stocked with choices. I would highly recommend this hotel! Excellent location, near restaurants as well as shopping and gas stations. Great price point as well.

We stayed at the Best Western South in Eau Claire during a recent road trip. Check-in was friendly and efficient and the staff were accommodating concerning our special request. The room was clean and comfortable but no microwave in the room. Recommend!

Nice room and great breakfast. Easy on and off the interstate and soon to be near a raisin Cain chicken restaurant.

We stayed in 8 motels in 8 days on our road trip. This was the best experience of the bunch. Pet friendly, good dog walking areas, lots of near-by retail, room was clean and everything worked. We will come back.

The staff was friendly and helpful! The place was clean and nice something I've come to expect from best western properties. The property was easy to find and in a great location to get off the freeway and get a hotel. 10/10 would recommend.

The hotel was clean for the most part and our stay was comfortable. However, there were no allergy indicators at the breakfast bar. My daughter needs to eat gluten free, and she was limited to the yogurt only (sausages and potatoes couldn't tell). There is very little parking for the hotel. There was a bowling tournament in town, and the colleges brought vans with trailers and took up all the parking.

We were on the last leg of a short road trip and this was very convenient and well priced. There were several restaurants close by and we were hungry. Less than five minutes to go find someplace for food. And then, even less time to get back to the hotel with a different route!

This hotel has an odor of that like a pet store. The hotel is dirty, the elevator takes forever to operate and the hallways are dark and barely visible with lights. My room had an awful scent of disgusting stench and there was hair everywhere. I'm guessing it was used by someone with a dog. The hotel don't clean properly. I skipped breakfast because I didn't trust the food. The bed must be like 20 years old because there was no cushion left in it. There was permanent indents in the mattress visible from seeing the bed made. I didn't use the bed. I couldn't even begin to imagine sleeping on it. I slept in my chair.

We stayed here for a family gathering. The room was clean and there were plenty of towels in the bathroom. We also enjoyed the breakfast as there was a lot to choose from. The employees at the desk were friendly and very helpful. We also got to bring our dog!

This was a great hotel for the price. Charming and attentive staff throughout. Very clean and tidy with everything working just as it should. There was a great breakfast selection and the room was spotlessly clean.

Little on the pricey side… however… they have nice fitness center, delicious breakfast and conveniently located near lots of restaurants. Very clean, friendly staff, great rewards program, AAA discounted. (Also… sadly there are no Bibles in the bedside stands. )

Breakfast was minimal and the times were not as advertised. They opened up late and shut down early. The seating area was nice. Some rotting/mold in the bathroom. Staff was friendly, but not always easy to find. Beds were comfortable.

We reserved a king room on the website. I read all of the terms about bringing our dog with us. We are best western members and have brought our dog with us for every stay at a bw hotel. We actually seek out bw hotels because of how great they are about having our dog there. We show up, get the key for our room and head to the elevator. Then the desk agent comes running down the hall and stops us. Proceeds to tell us that he was sorry, but this hotel doesn't actually allow dogs in king rooms. I asked him why. Make it make sense. You're now asking us to move into a two queen, and now my dog has more furniture to be on. The man did not have an answer for us, just said it was a policy. I asked to see the policy. He could not produce said policy. We followed him back to the desk and said we would move to a queen room, but wanted to be returned some of our bill, because when we were booking online, a queen room was almost $20 cheaper. He then handed me our new bill and it was the same amount. I pointed it out to him and he said "no no, it's different" as if $93 and $93 weren't the same. At this point, I was tired, and I knew I wasn't going to get anywhere with this employee, and he had four other couples waiting when he was the only one working the desk. We took the keys and went to our room. The bathroom was barely clean, the mirror looked like it hadn't been cleaned as well. We had a crumpled up tv guide in the drawer. We called to ask for the managers name, and no one ever answered the front desk phone. We gave up and went to bed. I woke up in the morning and decided it just wasn't worth our time to go downstairs and talk with the manager. We were trying to have a fun relaxing weekend away, and I just didn't have it in me to have that conversation. We went downstairs to have breakfast, and there was literally nothing in the chaffing dishes. Nothing but scrapes of some scrambled eggs. There were only muffins left for bread and a few yogurts in the fridge. So we just left and grabbed coffee and food elsewhere. Our bill did reflect a reduction for the different room, but I will tell you, unfortunately, we will not be back to this bw. We will go to the one on the other side of town. Every other bw we have stayed at, allowed us to have our dog in a king room. We have no problem following policies, but they should make sense, be visible, and be presented before a reservation is made.

This was a last minute booking good room, clean and friendly staff. Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast. Location near target and menards for any travel necessities required. There is quite a selection of eestaurants in the area.

This hotel is terrific and so is frontman Vihar. We come annually and our stay is great. Breakfast was enjoyed by all. Having water always available is very nice. Rooms are very clean, attractive, their cleaning crew is much appreciated. Margaret Johnson

We were only at the hotel for an overnight but I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the room and what was offered for the rate paid. The desk person was polite and efficient. The breakfast was very good.

This Best Western was clean, modern, spacious and overall a great place to stay. The room had a mini refrigerator but no microwave. We did find that the TV guide had incorrect channel numbers for the various stations, so it was a matter of just going through the channels one by one to find the station you wanted. But this was a minor problem. There were many restaurants and shopping nearby. The property was a great value and an excellent place to spend the night.

no microwave or refrigerator in room. Not enough lighting. when coming in late no back entrance. breakfast was ok ,eggs were salty, slow to refill some items at breakfast. I think they are short staffed

this lodging was a perfect choice in eau claire for our stop over as we returned from vacation in north dakota. i would recommend to anyone to stay here if visiting the area. The room was extremely clean and maintained. gave the appearance of being new. Front lobby was welcoming. Lobby computer was functional to find dinner choice. Breakfast selection was good .

Check in was excellent. They honored my military discount. The room was very nice. It was well decorated. It had a coffee bar with choice of coffees. Nice fluffy towels. Location of the motel was very easy to get to. Breakfast area was very clean and had good choices of food.

Very clean hotel! Very courteous staff! And a lounge!! What a great place to stay!! We were in search of a place to stay while we attended our nephew's graduation party. I was not expecting how great this place really was until we experience the excellent service and saw the cleanliness of the entire hotel.

This place is amazing. It's new, it's. Modern. Beautiful, Clean. The Breakfast was Great. The staff amazing. They even have a Bar. Parking is plentiful. Many access doors. Another of TV channels with five zHBO channels. Convenient location easy on/ off Hwy. 53 too

This hotel was very clean and totally remodeled! The staff was so polite and helpful! Located in south Eau Claire with lots of amenities in the area!! We are very picky and this place was a gem! Try it, you will love it!

Our stay started out on a positive note. We were allowed to check in early and the clerk was extremely helpful and considerate of our needs. The unit is up,to date, clean, and quiet. Our room,was quiet and comfortable. The only improvement would be to add more lighting to the guest rooms.

The hotel had very easy access, was extremely clean and comfortable and the staff was incredibly friendly. We would stay here again if in the area as well as would recommend to others! We were not there long enough to take advantage of any of the amenities.

This hotel was very clean and appeared to have been recently updated. Very kind and professional staff. The location is very close to shopping and restaurants. This Eau Claire location is a great central meeting place to stay with friends to catch up without being so expensive.

It is new and clean and has the amazing signature Best Western scent filtration so you immediately feel like you are at a luxury hotel. Rooms are a descent size with lots of natural light. We had a great experience at the bar and also at breakfast but Vihar at the front desk made our stay a notch above the average BW stay. He was friendly, attentive, and worked with me to make sure my Mom was on the same floor as us and had a room that met her needs. We were in town for a wedding and Dolores worked magic to get my adult daughters and grandkids on the same floor for their quick one night stay as well. Above all and most importantly Dolores seemed to genuinely love her job and was happy to be there which definitely made our stay better!

Amazing stay in Eau Claire for Christmas!! Hotel lobby was very pretty and rooms were super nice. Hotel staff was also accommodating. Overall sparkling clean hotel. They serve hot breakfast with scrambled eggs, potatoes and sausages which was very good.

I visited my daughter at UWEC. The hotel was updated and clean. We were close to stores for needed errands, restaurants, and close enough to campus to see the campus and Marching Show! Il'll definitely be staying here again!

Overall our stay in this hotel was fine. Desk staff were helpful and friendly. We travel with our dog. Most hotels have specific rooms for guests with pets and you know it as soon as you enter the room. There is a smell. This hotel room did not have that smell. It didn't have any smell! The room was pretty clean and most amenities worked (we had problems with the internet). Bed was comfortable.

Hotel desk staff was very nice and helpful. Exactly what you would expect from a good staff. Only complaint was the pantry wasn't well stocked with beverages. Room was comfortable and clean. Loved the 2 huge televisions in the King Suite. Bathroom was clean. Beds comfortable. Not a fan of feather pillows but it seems like that's what mostly available in most hotels. Parking was a little tight but manageable. Breakfast area was nice also. Overall this was a good experience, I'd come again for another business event or sports tournament.

We traveled with a dog and this was by far the most disgusting hotel we stayed at. Our room door lacked the sticker showing it was properly cleaned and upon entering, we were hit with the most disgusting wet dog/musty smell. We were told that the manager entered our room before we arrived, hence the lack of clean sticker, but we were not told why. We were also told no other rooms were available and that the front desk clerk could “possibly” find some air freshener spray to help cover the odor, that never happened. Our room was ridiculously priced. The manager did offer a small credit to our bill, but I'm quite shocked at the response as we didn't have an option other than to stay in that disgusting room. Once of our worst Best Western experiences ever and we have stayed at many over the years. For the price - no way! I would NOT recommend this hotel and I would NEVER stay here again. Go elsewhere to find a clean room.

I loved this hotel. Nice room. Comfortable bed. Big vanity in bathroom. Felt safe. It was nice and quiet - everything a traveler could want. Close to gas stations and fast food. Staff friendly. It's clean and welcoming. I didn't eat the breakfast or check out the bar but it looked great.

Out of the four hotels we stayed at on our trip, this was the best one! The staff members were very professional and the lobby and room was very clean! The beds were comfortable and the room was decorated nicely. The only minor issue we encountered was an unusually slow elevator. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Eau Claire.

I stayed here last night in Room 212. I visited family all day and came back late to get some shut-eye around midnight. Unbeknownst to me, the location of my room was directly next to the elevator. I could here it moving up and down thru the walls, and every time it stopped on my floor, "DING DING". It was like the front door of my room wasn't even there! I heard people's conversations as clear as a bell. It was very annoying. Now, I'm a deep sleeper. But last night I woke up around 10 times and did nit sleep well at all. The hotel itself, was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. But, the loud noises I heard all night and early on into the morning was unacceptable. I most likely will not stay here again..

Hotel stay was OK but Internet worked Sporadically... Breakfast had the usual but sometimes NO Juice or only Bitter Orange Juice.... There was Philly Cream Cheese but only Flavored with Strawberry - Not the Regular Plain kind.... Several items on Breakfast Line Went Empty Often! We stayed 4 Days, but on the 3rd Day, our Room Keys Did Not Work! Also on The 3rd Day, We Had to Go to front desk to Get More Toilet Paper & Towels & Had to Actually Ask to Have our Trash Cans Emptied & Bathroom Cleaned & Wet Towels Removed!!!!!

was a summer weekend so the prices were jacked up, but I didn't pay $170+ for a bed that has spiders in it. There were spiders all outside the hotel too, which is fine as long as they aren't inside, but one found its way inside my bed right as I was about to go to sleep. Did not sleep well that night. On a side note, the first thing pest control does is spray a barrier around the outside of the building and since there were so many spiders outside it is unlikely they have any pest control at all.

By far, the worst experience we have had traveling the country. We have a large family with small children and a dog. We checked into this establishment with the intent of spending 7-8 days. After checking in and unloading our vehicle of suitcases, children and dog; we were not allowed into the room we reserved. We were stopped AT THE ELEVATOR and re-directed to a ‘pet friendly' room of substandard size and quality. We were at a loss and went to the room as all of our possessions were on a cart with dog and toddlers in the lobby. We stayed for 30 minutes coming to the realization the room was way too small for our family. The attendant refused to reimburse our 30 minute stay, and considering they did not provide the room we initially reserved, we were very unhappy. We were charged for the night after contacting management and corporate. Terrible customer service. Discriminatory practices against animals.

We stayed here with a very large group of our family to celebrate a loved one. They were very accommodating for such a large group. We had everything we needed, a great location, wonderful staff and comfortable hotel. Overall, a wonderful experience!!

I was very pleased with this hotel. Everything was clean and updated. The room was comfortable, and it was reasonably priced. I will definitely stay here again. Best Western will be my new hotel of choice when traveling.

This Best Western is located close to the Mall and has a restaurant right across the street. We did not have time to experience it though. Our room was gorgeous, clean, comfortable bed, 4 pillows on each Queen size bed, large TV, Free WiFi, refrigerator, ice machine in the hallway, fitness room, laundry room, and large Breakfast area and the food was always replenished. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We will stay there again when in town.

Check in was fast and efficient. The room was super clean and we enjoyed our stay. We appreciate the easy pet policy. The location was convenient and helped us break up our 14 hour drive. We will stay here again.

Nice place, close to highway, restaurants and shopping, Hotel has a small bar area in the lobby which is nice. We will continue to stay there and recommend to friends when traveling. Keep up the good work.

This hotel is newly remodeled and looks very fresh and modern. The rooms are not the largest, but they are comfortable and clean with typical amenities. What makes this the only place I would stay in the area, though, is the fantastic convenience of the location for a long-term stay. You can walk to the Super Target and Menards in a minute or two. there are probably a dozen good places to eat, both fast-food and sit-down, within walking distance. There is a big shopping mall and strip mall as well as a nice park all very close by. There's easy access to the freeway and good surface roads. It's a safe, friendly neighborhood. We really enjoyed our stay there. We drove from California to Wisconsin see a surgical specialist, and stayed in the hotel for a week while my daughter recovered from her surgery. I couldn't have asked for a nicer, quieter, more convenient place for our purpose.

Recently stayed here a couple of nights. Pet friendly with a first floor room and had a pet station outdoors. Nice room - very clean and quiet. Coffee available all day, but breakfast was grab and go due to COVID.

This hotel was clean. It was nicely decorated with up-to-date fixtures and flooring. The bathroom was a decent size with a long counter for all my stuff. Even though there were pretty many people staying here, I did not hear much noise.

Easy on/off the highway, great restaurants and shopping within 1 or 2 minutes. Night clerk was among the best we've encountered; extremely knowledgeable about the area and on how to navigate it to find what we wanted.

Rooms were really nice, stopped here on our way to North Dakota. Staff was friendly and helpful finding a good place to eat. Its close to everything so easy to find what we wanted to way. They also have a nice bar.

Stayed here one night only- location in city near everything- newly remodeled inside rooms very clean - but no microwave in room - but you can use the one in lobby- breakfast was grab go style- staff was nice and TV had lot of channels available

Really nice hotel, it was very clean, good sleep, just what we needed. Stopped here on our way to North Dakoda, will stop again. There were lot of restaurants near by and right off the interstate. looked like it was new hotel and they had a bar.

Clean, friendly, convenient, safe. My wife and I had wonderful time. My friends stayed at Marriott and it was worse. Such a great deal for money. Very quiet. Great shopping and restaurants. Will come back!

We stayed twice at this Best Western. The room was very nice and we were upgraded to a wonderful suite the second time. Ryan, the front desk receptionist was so accommodating and friendly both times. Small but nice little pool and uncrowded.

What a pleasant surprise!!!This hotel is lovely. Super clean and friendly staff. Excellent value/above average stay for the price. Room had space enough for a twin air mattress. Lots of plug ins for family's devices to charge. Great location. Nice breakfast area. For our family of 5– it was great!!

We stayed in a 2 queen room and we were very disappointed to see standard definition TV channels along with an air conditioning system that worked inconsistently. In addition, too firm uncomfortable bed and pillows. Lastly poor working wi-fi in room 308. Not hardly at all what we expected here.

My husband and I traveled to EC to celebrate our daughter's graduation even though the ceremony was cancelled. The hotel is newly renovated and has a breakfast room and full bar which were both closed due to Covid. We've stayed here in the past when it was another hotel. There's a Target right next door and several restaurants near by. It's also right next to the highway and easy to get to the various restaurants in EC.

We have stayed here previously and will certainly again in the future. Would recommend it for any purpose, if you are going to be in the area. Very clean rooms and lobby. Great breakfast. (No breakfast this time because of Covid19)

We stayed at the hotel in March, 2020. I am reposting my review as I don't see it on the Tripadvisor site. The hotel has been recently remodelled. The rooms are very nice and the beds are very comfortable. It was very clean and they have a nicely done new bar and large breakfast area. I was very impressed with the front desk clerk Priyank. He was extremely helpful and friendly. Would recommend staying here .

The location of the hotel was very convenient & the staff was very friendly & helpful. The room was very clean & the bed was very comfortable. Although we couldn't have the usual hot breakfast due to the covid-19 pandemic, we were provided with a grab & go bag containing water, a muffin, cereal bar & fruit. We would recommend the Best Western Eau Claire South hotel to our friends & family.

I travel to Minnesota a few times a year, with Eau Claire the halfway point. BW South, has become my favorite place to stay. Clean and comfortable. I haven't tried the breakfast, but will my next stay

The facility is new and in excellent condition. Check in was fast, the room was very clean and well laid out. Beds were comfortable, and breakfast offered many options. There's no pool which is a plus in our case, because it meant no noisy sports team kids would be running up and down the halls at all hours of the night! Great location near shopping and restaurants, and just a short drive to UWEC.

Picked because newer and clean;true but the tv was not setup correctly. The screen was set for wide screen so the words were cut off on edges ,poor quality definition on all channels .There was no heater in the bathroom . There was no coat rack near door;closet by window.The full breakfast was still a continental breakfast and even though we were getting food before 7 am the food trays were empty or almost. the one attendant brought only one item at a time to fill the warmer buffet.There was no microwave in the room we had on the second floor but there was an ice machine on that floor. However that was the only ice machine in a 3 story hotel. Noisey while trying to sleep ;could hear noise from above and hall . We had used an older Super8 a week ago in Eau claire which had better facilities for half the price. $102 as opted to $50. On Hotels .com page for this hotel the picture shows days inn over the entrance but website shows Best Western

I earned a free night at a Best Western so we stayed here. The hotel was freshly remodeled and it was beautiful. The room was super nice. The room had a Keurig and plenty of storage. I wish every hotel was this nice. They had a bar we didn't visit and breakfast.

Stopped in a snow storm. Enjoyed the stay. Very nice hotel. Nice bar area with snack type food which worked out well so we did not have to go out in the storm.very clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Nice clean place to stay, I recommend and would stay here again if I needed a hotel in the area. The guy at the front desk was very helpful, processed our AAA discount and gave us a better rate for the room that was shown on google.

I am generally happy with Best Westerns. However, this hotel did not meet my expectations. Breakfast was sub-par: burnt scrambled eggs, stale donuts & bagels, mealy apples. Yuck. Also, bring a pair of earplugs if you want to get a good night's rest. There was apparently no sound-proofing included in the building. Beds & pillows were comfortable, though.

I have to admit this was probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The check in staff was very quick and polite, I didn't know my license plate number and they didn't make me go back outside like most places would have. Their were no problems with my key card unlike most hotels I have stayed in. The other guests were so friendly and outgoing, I had so many elevator doors held for me. Breakfast was amazing, nothing like normal continental breakfast. The fruit was so juicy and fresh and the eggs tasted so real. I am personally a vegetarian and I didn't feel at all like I was missing out. This hotel is so clean, I even looked to try and find something wrong with my room but it was perfect!! Their was so much room for parking as well. One of the best hotels I've stayed in!

I stayed here for five days on business. The location was great just off the highway. The rooms have been recently remodeled and look very nice. The breakfast options were plentiful and the hours breakfast was available was very reasonable. What really made us hotel stand out was the staff. The front desk staff was very warm and welcoming. And the cleaning staff was absolutely top-notch. They noticed every single detail and made sure the room was sparkling clean every day. They even took all of my toiletry items that were strewn about the countertop and organized them nicely on a towel on the counter. I have not had such a good cleaning service since I stayed at the four seasons Definitely recommend!!

My first stay at this particular Best Western which was recently converted from a Comfort Inn & Suites. Nice hotel, and I was upgraded from a Queen room to a King Suite that was very nice. Bed was very comfortable as I find with all Best Westerns. Did not have the breakfast but it looked like a nice variety as most are. I would stay here again!

Over priced weekend for group while work crew being comped room s was given price but when checking out there were more additional charges added. No ADA compliant rooms were available and as a disabled veteran was put on the third floor

Super nice people at this recently remodeled hotel! Plentiful choices for breakfast, with convenient hours. Location is close to shopping and restaurants. Quiet rooms. It has to be the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. I hope they keep it up!

So clean, beautiful, and friendly personnel. Best Western makes you feel that your business is really appreciated and they're happy to se you. We will definitely choose Best Westerns for future travels.

Booked this hotel from the good reviews I read. Everything were true to the words. Very clean room and comfortable bed. The hotel provides complimentary breakfast and tea & coffee all day. Staff service & housekeeping are great. Location is great. Next to Target, Menard's and walking distance to Walgreens. There is also a Chinese restaurant next to it offering excellent range of buffet at only usd9.95. We stayed in this hotel twice and would definitely be staying here again for our next visit to Eau Claire.

Driving between Chicago to Ely, we selected this hotel at random when we made our reservation and are so happy that we did. Due to unforeseen delays, we pulled in at 1:30 A.M. There is a security lock on the inside door, but the welcoming concierge appeared instantly to let us in when we picked picked up the receiver on the wall phone provided for that purpose. The hotel has very recently been renovated and is clean and inviting. Our room on the third floor was quiet and the beds with their new pillow top mattresses were so comfortable that we regretted having to check out early in order to reach our destination. This would have been the perfect place to sleep late! Complimentary breakfast is served between 6:00 A.M. and 10:00 A.M. Our was presided over by a hospitable cook who wished us safe travels as we left. We will definitely chose this hotel again on our future trips to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area

I stayed on the third floor which was just renovated. The room was comfortable and tastefully decorated. Very clean. Brand new pillow-top beds. Conveniently located near I-94 and close to gas and shopping. Very friendly and helpful staff.

We booked a country inn and suites with a pool and a hot tub. When we arrived they had switched to a best western and removed the pool and hot tub. Everyone was very disappointed. At minimum some notification ahead of time would have been nice.

Traveled here for a swim meet, and the hotel was extremely expensive for the quality. It was under construction, and was actually labeled as a Best Western, even though we booked under Country Inn and Suites. Restaurant/lounge area was completely closed due to construction, so breakfast was in a little nook in the corner, and the food was lacking in quality and variety. We were charged $190 per night, which is outrageous for the location and quality of hotel. Do not recommend.

The hotel was under renovations. First floor had limited accessibility. Third floor completely shut off. From office area could not be entered from the front. The dust from the drywall and the sawing of the wood really bothers my sinuses. Reservation was made in February/March timeframe and there was not mention of renovations. The smell of work being done affected the breakfast area. Breakfast was taken to room to eat. Would not have made reservation at this location is I had known of renovations.
