I am a Gold Card member and the 1st room had a dirty used washcloth, paper left on the floor, and hair in the bed. 2nd room had a phone that did not work. Still charged me and did not even give me extra points

We were looking to take a short stay cay! Dorhan is about 2 hours from Destin. Best Western was comfortable, clean and friendly. Close to some attractions. Not too distant to downtown. Staff was helpful. Coffee available at most times even in the evening.

The hotel is very clean and modern and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. After a long drive, I was looking for a good restaurant nearby and a catfish place kept popping up. I Googled the distance from our hotel and it said 350 feet. How perfect was that? The meal was excellent by the way1 Breakfast at the hotel next morning was hot, plentiful and everything was clean!!!

I,m a platinum card holder the hotel was good the only problem was that we had trouble with the shower to work when we check out we told the lady at the front desk she told us that they should have told how the shower was to work other then that the place was very good

We were extremely impressed with this hotel. Updated, modern, and clean! Our king suite was very specious. Comfy sheets as plush towels. A very good experience. Breakfast was good. Easy to recommend fir good lodging at a ver good price. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Very clean hotel! The staff was very nice and housekeeping would ask if I needed anything. It is across the street from Winn Dixie, so it made everything I needed really convenient. The mall is also just two blocks down the road. Enjoyable stay!

No usb ports in room,snowflaks(stupid guest) not returning luggage carts to front area but keeping in room overnight. Good point a excellent restaurant next to hotel. Easy to find. Near shopping center and quiet.

I made a reservation for 1 room suite with 2-Queen beds. I booked early on 7/15/2022 to ensure I had the correct room needed. Upon arrival to hotel I called at 19:50 and 20:06 to ensure the room was booked, ready and had the available bedding that I previously booked. Hotel member ensured me that everything was ready for our stay. The second phone call was to notified staff of our late arrival due to driving 5 hours and 30 minutes to get to the destination. When we arrived to the hotel the hotel employee checked us in and sent us on our way to our room. When getting in room it is a room with 1 bed and pull out couch. This was not the room I purchased a week prior. I went back downstairs and told the employee this was not the room I booked. He stated all rooms were filled and sold out. He tried calling the general manager 3 times due to his unawareness of what to do. The manager of course did not answer at 2:30 am and he told us to speak to the manager in the morning because she would be working. After getting to room we find uncleanliness in the pull out couch with old caprisuns and straws. Along with this the sink in the room would not even drain properly so it was unable to be used properly. These concerns were not voiced due to the morning conversation with the assistant manager. Myself and another guest went downstairs to speak with manager and she stated she was aware of the issue and would be refunding us and that she was sorry for the issue. We went on to breakfast and left the hotel. At check out I asked the manager when I would receive the refund and she stated 3-5 business days. Today, I called the care line asking for an update on the refund because I was reminded by a survey that was sent to my email. The care line stated no notes were even added into the account about this incident. The representative made a ticket, reached out to the manager of the hotel we stayed at and told us she never said anything about a refund. So I called myself and spoke to the general manager. Starting off the conversation with unprofessionalism, no name was presented to me as a caller until I specifically asked to speak with the manager. The manager acted very unprofessional stating she was not giving me my money back even though the assistant manager said we would. She said the assistant manager stated she never said that, which was a total lie. The manager clearly saw no issue with the hotel giving a customer something that they did not purchase. Could you imagine going to a restaurant and getting the wrong thing and the manager not fixing the issue even though they said they would? The manager was very rude and unprofessional making it seem like the customer was lying and taking an employees word even though the employee told me something totally different. The manager told me that the assistant manager stated I would get the $50 refund, I voiced my concern because I knew I would get the $50 refund considering it was a hold for incidentals so this excuse made no sense to me. I asked the manager to elaborate and she just stated she was not refunding me and dismissed my concern. The manager also rudely and with an attitude stated I only made the reservation for 1 adult; which is true because one week in advanced it was only for 1 guest and it changed that is why I called prior to arrival to ensure the bed situation. The manager basically dismissed my concerns and did care, stating the conversation was going nowhere. I am not even worried about $108, I am more disappointed and dissatisfied with the care and unprofessionalism I endured. I hope nobody ever stays and has the same issues I've had because this is not a way to enjoy a vacation.

We are sorry that you did ot enjoy staying at our beautiful hotel.

Other than the brown spots on the curtains and dead fly behind the mattress everything was good. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was in a good location. Beds were comfy and bathrooms were clean.

Clean, spacious room, price was right. We just needed someplace for one night so we thought we would check it out. We don't usually stay at a BW unless it is a BW Plus, but we would give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised.

Check-in went smoothly, front desk staff was efficient and welcoming. This is a dog friendly hotel with a great dog walk area, although the doggy waste bags not available. The room was spacious and clean. Only problem we encountered was the bright outside LED light that made our room appear it was daylight during the night. The black out curtain was too short, allowing the light to flow in.

I think that people in our group got more sleep than I did as they had top floor room. I could hear almost everything guys staying in the floor above me was doing. Bed was good but I did not like the pillows.

Great hotel, Like the pool on the hot days. Hotel very clean and staff very helpful. Will be staying here 4 days a week on assignment working for commercial jets at the Dothan airport. Feel safe staying here for myself or bringing my family.

Rooms were very nice. Looks almost brand new. Is a much nicer stay the older Best Western from ten years ago in Dothan. Much much nicer now. All inside, great room. Easy in and out. We will try to stop there again.

This was my first visit to this hotel but I was pleasantly surprised and will be back again. Monet was awesome and the rate could have been lower but most hotels were booked already so considering that it was a good rate. The room was clean and comfortable. The tub was great, deep enough to get into and soak and it has actual hot water, not luke warm like some other places. I will be back for sure.

Standard Best Western with the staples for breakfast. Lobby and breakfast area was clean. Hotel room was at a good temperature, smelled decent and was up-to date. Check-in staff was very friendly and helped direct me to local place for supper. Internet and ice machine worked good.

Changed the cost and terms on us twice after booking an all inclusive rate. We ended up having to leave for another hotel and lost a night's stay. Rude staff and manager. Will never go to a Best Western again.

The hotel was great! Positives: Clean and spacious room, soft bed and towels, plenty of parking, excellent breakfast, nice lobby, great check-in and check-out. Good location, Could be better: We had loud people next door to us but this was not the fault of the hotel. We would definitely stay here again!

We arrived in the area to stay at a hotel already arranged by a relative to unknowingly know by them the hotel was under remodeling. The room we were supplied was under construction and could not be occupied. They cancelled our reservation so had to find another location. I had stayed at this Best Western a few yrs ago and was very pleased. I called and Terri gave us the internet senior rate. We arrived and she made out stay very comfortable with very easy check in and to take care of any problems we may encounter. Highly recommend, very clean, great location and excellent staff.

Hotel was clean, safe, nice decor, pet friendly. The breakfast had protein like omelettes and sausage, not just breadstuffs. The front desk was super nice and helpful. I like the little snack bar by the front desk for drinks, snacks, and small items available even late at night.

Thé room was clean enough but couldn't find tv remote the people upstairs were making a lot of noise the people on both sides had tvs very loud we got no sleep and when we went to take a shower the shower didn't work

Lots of little things wrong. There was a small amount of toilet paper on the roll and no extra roll - how would you like to discover that at 3AM! Only two Kleenex in the box and no extra box. HVAC unit could not be turned off. Even with “power” in off position, it continued to run. Comforters on bed are too hot to sleep but there is no extra blanket to replace them. No TV channel guide. All of these items are available at the front desk, but what a hassle. Then to top it all off, there was a very severe weather event that affected our home but the only channel we could watch in the breakfast room was ESPN “per Corporate directive” - “ “all news is too controversial”. This is ridiculous, everyone staying here is traveling and interested in the weather for their trip because it might affect their plans. How can this be controversial. We won't be staying here again.

The first thing I noticed upon walking in to our room was that it smelled very clean! Out of habit, I checked the mattress and linens before bringing my bags in and everything was clean and orderly. All surfaces had been wiped down. I felt comfortable walking throughout the room barefoot without dirtying my feet. Out of personal preference the things that could have been different - more wash cloths. There were two of us staying two nights and I would have liked to have had a new wash cloth for us each both each night. There were enough towels (although I dont mind reusing those). I could have asked the desk for more wash cloths, but did not have the time to do so with the wedding I was a part of. The bathroom does not have any air circulation within the room since the AC unit is mounted under the window. In order to cool the bathroom, you have to leave the door open with the AC set in the 60s, which can be uncomfortable when needing to use the facilities. Consequently, in order to cool the bathroom you end up freezing the area closest to the unit which is the bed. So you either swear and suffocate from the shower steam or you freeze when you go to bed. Other than those minor critiques, it was a very pleasant stay. I greatly appreciate the cleanliness of the space and would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

If you love the smell of bleach and urine this is the place for you. The toilet had years of caulk added to the wobbly toilet. The A/C was so loud it sounded like aliens were landing. The beds we thin mattresses that are clearly old and hard as bricks. The showers we old and stained. This place is like putting lipstick on a pig. I travel a lot and this place is sad. I'm not sure who has been staying here but they are clearly easy to please. This property is disgusting.

Emiliee, Of course you can smell the bleach-as we take many extra precautions to keep the hotel sterilized during this pandemic. I am confused because we moved you to a room on day 2 of your stay that you absolutely loved. Day 1 of your stay we could not move you because we were sold out and you stated the ac was too loud for you. We offered numerous times on day 1 to refund you and relocate you and you did not want to do that so we fixed that issue the next day. All of this comes after we had to ask you to please handle the noise complaints from your room. Numerous guests complained and we asked that you take care of it right away. I am incredibly sorry that you just did not enjoy your stay and wish you the best.

Located in safe area. Rates are great. Outside is very nice and cared for. Inside clean and fresh! Room were so welcoming after a long drive. Clean clean clean !!!! Beds comfortable, bathroom clean. Could even walk around barefoot !!! The nicest, cleanest Best Western I ever stayed in. All staff were wonderful.

I made a reservation online. I waited at the hotel nearly three hours to be told room was not available; there would be an additional $100 charge for a non-pet room and when I refused, was told there was a 24 hour cancellation policy and I would be charged for the room anyway. All this occurred as I was evacuating due to Hurricane Ida. I would not stay at a Best Western in the future if I was paid to do so. Way to take advantage of people in a terrible situation.

I am sorry for any inconvenience that you encountered. Our check in time is at 3:00 pm.We do our best to allow early check in but sometimes it is just not possible. If you had to wait past 3pm I apologize. While you did not book a pet room we were going to accomodate you but we do charge a cleaning fee. There are guest's who can't stay in pet rooms so we would have to get a service to come in and sanitize the room. We do uphold out 24 hr cancellation policy. Again I am sorry you did not get to stay and enjoy the hotel.

My wife and I recently stayed at the best western on Westgate in Dothan. We love this place and will stay again next year. The staff is very friendly and do a great job. We loved our room, it was spacious and clean and comfortable. The breakfast was perfect for me. If you have a choice then this is where you should stay. I wish more places were like this Best Western.

For six years my wife and I have stopped in Dothan twice a year coming and going to our winter home in Florida and until two years ago, we stopped in another pet friendly hotel nearby. However, it has become so run down and nasty, we started bypassing Dothan to find a cleaner & safer place to stay. We were so glad to learn that this Best Western accepts cats and were delighted to find it so clean and quiet. The staff was top notch too. And to our surprise, there's a fantastic restaurant right next door! Will certainly make this a regular stop from now on!

I love the fact that they let you bring your pet. If you have a dog, there is a Church with a softball field about two blocks away. We walked up there, closed the gates and let him run free for at least a half an hour.

Very nice and clean place to stay--Staff very efficient and very friendly---and an added bonus is that there is a David's Catfish House restaurant right next door to the Best Western---we had a very nice dinner meal there---overall it was a great place to stay---there is a Winn Dixie grocery store just across the road and a Little Caesars Pizza nearby

IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN DO NOT STAY HERE! I have never heard of a more horrible experience at a hotel as my daughter and her friend experienced this weekend. They were there for a travel ball tournament. 8 rooms booked in all. Returned to their room which was next door to my husbands at 6:45 pm from a long day of baseball and dinner. Management called twice saying a gentleman on the floor below was complaining of noise. They said there was no noise as my granddaughter was in the tub and one other child was on the bed watching an iPad. The other two children were in my husbands room. At 7:30 a gentleman knocked on the door and demanded they vacate the property immediately. Two women and four young children at 7:30 pm with no explanation except they were too noisy and the man below them had complained 15 times. They had only been in the room 45 minutes. The man said both women and children had to leave they could not stay in my husbands room. They were able to sneak the kids in my husbands room and they escorted my daughter and her friend to their car and said you will not get a refund. The hotel was full and very noisy with a jazz festival going on. Did these people get targeted? NO! They ask to speak to the manager and was given her cell number but she never responded. DO NOT STAY AT THE BEST WESTERN IN DOTHAN OR ANY BEST WESTERN FOR THAT MATTER! I used my points to book this hotel and will be leaving the same review with Chase.

Great stay Only problem was with trying to claim rewards coupons there has to be a better way than email. If you qualify for the coupon put by your rewards points so you can book in advance and not sit there emailing each other or taking pictures of coupon off the customer's phone. The GM and the front desk lady were very helpful in getting the task done.

We had stayed at the old motel and that was what we were expecting, but were pleasantly surprised when the GPS took us to the new location. Great parking, clean outside and the exterior looked nice. CeCe at the Front Desk welcomed us with a kind word and smile and the stay went up from there. The room was Excellent, clean, spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was fantastic with lots of choices; omelets, hash browns, waffles, cereal, Danishes, etc. Staff is super friendly and made the stay that much more pleasant. If we are ever in the area again, we are definitely staying here again

This is a great place to stay. Perfect for pets. Clean, comfortable rooms. Very convenient outside pet areas. Friendly staff and breakfast as good as any restaurant. Don't get fooled by coupons and cheap rates at other hotels. You get what you pay for!

I traveled all the way from Ohio to Dothan, AL for my brother's wedding. I brought my dog (a staffordshire terrier) along for the trip. I had my travel agent call ahead of time to makes sure the hotel didn't have any breed or weight restrictions. Their website DOES NOT have any weight/breed restrictions listed but I wanted her to make sure. The travel agent verified with someone named Autumn that they would allow me to check in with my staffy. Upon arrival, I was refused a room because the manager said they didn't accept "aggressive dog breeds". What a crock of crap! The BW I stayed at in Bowling Green, KY just a few nights prior was incredibly kind to me and my dog. I'm so frustrated and disappointed with this place. All other dog friendly hotels in the area are booked so I guess I'm sleeping in my car?...

Seems like newer property. Very clean, friendly staff. Good parking - and for those traveling with pets: good walking area for your fluffy babies. Slight drawback, no eating establishments within walking distance for those of you, like me, who don't like getting back in the car after a long, driving day. Problem solved when I spied the Winn-Dixie across the street, so before checking in, I stopped in for some pre-made salad and frozen dinner...

Decided to spend the night to break up the driving time on our vacation. Before I say anything else I want to say how awesome Monet was at the front desk. She is super friendly and did an amazing job. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning great. We will definitely stay here again.

This is second time we have chosen here on way to beaches. It's a great location , very pleasant employees (monette) , especially helpful on phone making plans and when we arrived. Very clean rooms , beds and pillows very comfortable. Offers hot breakfast now , NIce variety of items . Will be a place I would not hesitate to recommend to others .

All of the employees were helpful and delivered excellent customer service. My room was very clean and I must say that Best Western's beds are the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in at a hotel. Best Western also serves a nice breakfast.

Made a reservation on Booking & spoke with Autumn, she stated that Booking said no charge until check in. But had to call us back & said manager does not honor Booking. But would hold our room until 7PM. Arrived at 4PM & Kim newly promoted front desk Manger was telling 2 other guest as well as us that the system cancels all reservations that are not already paid or Arrived & paid by 3. She also continued to state nothing she could do & that all the hotel manager & owner cared about was money & not the guest or employees. Also was supposed to call us back & never did. Was also advised that owner/hotel Manger could careless if us & the other 17 guest they cancel reservations on found rooms or not. This was on Saturday March27th. Do not stay here.

Excellent property. All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful, checkin was quick and easy. Rooms were as described, with everyone we needed. We ate at a restaurant by the hotel, and even the waiter commented on how nice the hotel staff was. Hotel was close to shopping, restaurants, a grocery store, everything we needed was close by. We will definitely stay here again.

We've stayed in two other chain hotels in past years as we travel to Florida. This year we decided to try the Best Western. Price was right, the building is newer and very clean inside. There are a couple of restaurants located close to the hotel.

Checked into the Best Western January 1, 2021 about 7 pm after a long day of driving was greeted with a smile by Angela who made every effort to accommodate us with a room that was exceptional, clean, well maintained and nicely appointed. Angela even offered us a bottle of water and apple, asked if their was anything else she could do to assist us. The next day Wanda checked us out, she was just as accommodating and friendly. We made another reservation at this property and will continue to stay their when passing through Dothan, Al. The staff also followed all Covid policies & procedures

Stayed here one night on our way through. Front desk area smelled kind of musty when we walked in, but our room didn't smell and was very nice and all seemed clean. Bed was NOT comfortable for us though, very hard, and towels pretty thin. Plus the shower was a pain to figure out and work. Breakfast was a cold grab & go but they had coffee, juice, yogurt, cereal, muffins, apples. Was priced more than the Pear Tree we stayed at the previous night in another area and they had super comfortable beds and hot breakfast, but this is the best I found in this area. Front desk girls were okay, though not overly friendly. We had dogs with us and they didn't tell us about it at the front desk but we found a nice grassy area on the side of the hotel to take out pets, with pet disposal bags and a bin. Usually BW is better. Not sure if we'd stay there again bc of the beds.

Very close to a very good restaurant (walking distance). Literally adjoins the hotel parking lot. Within 5 minutes of many other restaurants and a star bucks within an eighth of a mile. Off the main road of 231 to remain quiet from traffic.

This was a spur of the moment trip and I needed somewhere to stay for the night. I've stayed at other properties before but not this location. This location exceeded my expectations! This Best Western in well kept, super clean, modern, comfortable beds, pet friendly, moderately priced, good selections for continental breakfast. A very good deal for the money. Would definitely recommend this motel. All the the staff we spoke with were very nice and friendly. Marilyn working the desk in the mornings was especially friendly and helpful. And there is a very good seafood / catfish restaurant with walking distance next door.

This property was spotless in our guest room. We had no issues with anything. The hotel was full on a Saturday night an yet was quiet once 9 PM or 10 PM came along. Breakfast? No the hot food under normal conditions but bag lunches amply supplied with goodies was what we took along with us in the morning.

Cannot say one thing I would change regarding our recent stay - staff was efficient and polite, lobby was welcoming and clean. Room was more spacious than anticipated, all surfaces were cleaned and smelled of non-overpowering disinfectant. Location was ideal; right across the street from a grocery if needed, numerous restaurants extremely close by. No question that this will be our stay of choice when we visit the area again.

Very clean pet friendly hotel with a great staff. We arrived a little early and Michelle was very helpful in getting into a pet friendly room when we arrived. We appreciate her extra effort when we were aware check in time wasn't until 3(we didn't take into account the time zone change). Hotel was home base for several baseball teams playing in a tournament but the boys were very quiet in the hotel. Free parking and internet. There is a minimal pet fee. Lots of grassy areas to exercise your pet. Pool area was very busy. Room was very large with 3 separate living areas. Breakfast area was closed but Grab and Go was available. Only issue we had was the walls are thin between rooms. Guy next door was an UNBELIEVABLE snorer. We turned on the A/C to constant air and turned on the sound machine to drown him out. We will stay here again. Michele was great!!

Rooms were fairly clean & linens are nice. When we moved the coffee table for the pull out couch there were two straight pins and a ponytail holder on the floor. The shower is tricky to get started and I couldn't figure it out so I gave up and took a bath. The mattresses are the thinnest mattress I've ever slept on and the air conditioning was inadequate.

Because of Covid 19, I knew the hotel would not be full. We had a nice room...a sofa and king size bed. The room had a slight odor, but we thought it might be because we had a small dog (a room for pets only). Also knew there wouldn't be a full breakfast as usual. All hotels have started doing this. However, when I went to get coffee at the front, there was no regular coffee, which the front desk lady said she could make some. We were ready to be on our way, so didn't wait. She also had to explain to us old folks how to turn the spray on for the shower. She was so kind!

WOW what a sweet Best Western this was! The young lady at front desk was so nice and welcoming to me after I had bicycled over 60 miles for my cross country bicycle ride. The hotel inside and out was very well maintained and clean. My room was very large, very well set up for my needs and was extremely clean. While on property I did use the business center (that was set up and worked better than most hotels). I slept well in a very quiet environment and a really nice breakfast, then was ready to pedal away. Nice Best Western indeed! TheBigRideforEB.com

The first room that we were given had long shaggy black dog hair covering the comforters on both beds. The dog hair and some other type of hair was also by the pillows, the bed skirt, and the mattress. We didn't look at the room any further and decided to just go to the front desk and request a different room. The second room had a few little black bug shells or something on the comforter and when I pulled back the sheets, I was horrified to see that the sheets were so dirty and stained that you could see lighter, maybe cleaner, areas of the sheets where they must have been creased or wrinkled when they were laid on. I have never seen sheets that filthy in my entire life nor can I imagine how they could become that dirty to look like that. When I went to turn on the light next to the bed, I happen to see a wash rag thrown behind the nightstand. The carpet had rocks and dirt chucks on it. Lastly, the bathroom had several little plastic hair bands broken and thrown onto the floor. Neither of the rooms appeared to have wiped down nightstands. That was more than enough for me. I don't know what hotel that these other people saw and wrote all these rave reviews about, but it sure wasn't this place!!! DISGUSTING! I wished that we would have taken pictures because they speak volumes but I wanted out of that place as quickly as I could!!!

I don't want to give a bad review, because this is a nice, clean hotel, and the staff was friendly. However, I was not happy with my stay overall. We arrived at 5:00 pm to check in. We assumed it would be quick, so we planned to check in first, then grab a bite to eat before we headed to our event at 6:00. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned. We checked in fairly easily, signed paperwork, then headed up to our room. The first thing we noticed was a "Do Not Disturb" sign hanging on the door knob, so we thought, "Is this someone's room already?" We knocked on the door, and with no answer decided to open it. Well, the TV was on, the bed was unmade, and there were used towels all over the bathroom. So, we immediately closed the door and went back downstairs to the desk. Both employees were very confused as to what happened. (I'm assuming the room was supposed to be cleaned and wasn't?) While trying to help other customers, we were told they would figure it out. I assumed it would only take a few minutes, so we waited. We even told them we had somewhere to be at 6:00, but needed to eat first. They eventually found another room, but instead of us going to the room, we had to wait even longer for an employee to go check it out first before giving us the key. (I thought this was silly since they knew we were in a hurry to leave.) Once he came back and said all was good, we went to our room. The first thing I noticed was the handicap logo on the outside of the door, so I knew something was up. We opened the door, and sure enough, not only is it a handicap room, it's also a room with 2 beds instead of a king. (I reserved a non-smoking, non-handicap king room.) Of course, I'm upset because this is NOT what I reserved and NOT what I paid for. By this time, it's nearly 5:40, and we still had to get food before going to our event at 6:00. Needless to say, there was no time to complain, and we were still late to our event. It would have been nice if I had at least been told that they were downgrading my room before sending us upstairs. It also would have been nice to have been offered a discount due to the room downgrade. Since they knew we had somewhere to be, they could have offered to have the room cleaned and ready for us upon our return. (That would have been just fine!) Anyway, the hotel was clean, and everything else was fine, but I feel like it was wrong to downgrade my room with no explanation, compensation, or apology. I will pick another place to stay next time.

This property was amazing due to the warmth and helpfulness of Cecil at the front desk. The breakfast was great and the rooms were clean and accessible. The handicap room was large enough for my husband to maneuver his electric wheelchair in. I do suggest a shower chair in the shower though.

We're in town for business. While looking for a dog friendly property we stumbled into the BW. Wasnt sure about their brand but they have obviously upped their game. Beautiful fresh facility with lots of space in the rooms. the staff has been over the top from the front door, to the lovely manager, to even the maintenance guy! My husband and I stayed for 6 nights, 11/24 thru 11/30, we were visiting family for the Holidays. I have to say as a travel agent for AAA here in Allentown Pa , Everyone that works at this hotel was on point. What I mean by this is that they were very nice, helpful, customer service was great and they had smiles on their faces, which goes a long way. Keep up the good work. Mildred M. We stayed one night in the hotel. It was a comfortable and well appointed room with mini fridge, microwave and sink. A real plus. Our one complaint was the breakfast, However because I gave an unfavorable review about it got a phone call from manager (Wanda) who was so nice, polite and apologetic about the incident as well as giving us a $20 credit for the inconvenience. This was terrific customer service. I work with the public myself and this attitude is what I appreciate and we would visit this hotel again. Thank you Wanda

I usually avoid BW due to not so good past experiences but after reading other reviews decided to book it. It's pretty darn nice! Pros: location surrounded by lots of retail and restaurants. Close to Walmart too! Room is clean, bed is comfortable, heating/cooling is quiet, roomy bathroom, nice staff, good variety for breakfast. No major Cons. I Would stay here again.

Currently staying here for a two day business meeting with about 35 other employees. The process to secure the rooms with the staff was very easy and Wanda, the manager, and Amanda were very accomodating. Hotel is clean a a great value. Would recommend to others traveling on business. Cannot speak about the pool or workout room, but so far it has met my expectations.

Time you walk in you smell felt. Upon inspection I found the pillow slips on the couch with salt badly and smelt badly upon looking around in the room the rugs was stained unbelievable upon further inspection I look behind the bed and the Dust cover on the bed was so appalled Dusty and stinking the dust was all on the lamps the telephone behind a nightstand it was horrible in that room then I went to take a shower and couldn't because the faucet thing for the shower did not work. I stayed a total of 30 days and I had to have my key rekey every two to three days

Our stay was very nice and comfortable. The hotel staff and management were very helpful and accommodating to our every need. The rooms were very nice and clean. The beds were comfortable and plenty of pillows. Each morning the breakfast was fully stocked and ready by 6 am making my day very nice with a full tummy. There was plenty of parking in the lot and we always had a spot close to the main entrance. Overall I would say our stay was a 9.5 out of 10. I took off a half point because the TV remotes dont have a source or input button making it difficult if you plug an outside source to the TV's. The hotel did have a remote at the front desk I was able to use to connect my laptop.

On my way back to Florida we stayed at this hotel. We had a confirmed reservation for a king suite. When we checked in we were asked if we wanted express check-out or have the bill slipped under the the door. We chose under the door. Our room turned out to be a room with one queen bed. My wife called the front desk and was told there were no other rooms available. Hmmm! She was told $20 would be deducted from our bill. $20 for an uncomfortable night's sleep. Breakfast in the morning was not good. The hot choices were eggs cooked like I've never seen before, over cooked dried out sausage patties that I couldn't cut with the plastic knife and I think breaded chicken that also looked dried out. The other choice was the waffle maker. No bill was slipped under the door. When we went to the front desk to check out no one was there. Five minutes later the desk person showed up. We asked why bill wasn't slipped under the door. He said we need to ask for express check-out for that. Not what we were told when we checked in. This is not the experience I want to have on a long drive from Illinois. I'll choose better the next time.

Hotel is approximately 300 yards from the main highway which made it a very quiet stay. There are approximately 3 places to eat within walking distance. Many more are only a shot drive away. Room and mattress were very comfortable. The night desk clerk was very helpful and pleasant.

We stay at this hotel 3-4 nights every month. The rooms are always clean. The lobby is always clean and has comfortable seating. The breakfast area can sometimes get a little crowded on the weekends. The hotel is close to the mall. It is very close to many good restaurants and fast food restaurants, too.

This place was great in so many ways. Dothan is a very busy town but this new hotel sits one block back from the busy 231 circle up against a quiet neighborhood. Just far enough away from the traffic to feel tucked back safely away from the hustle and bustle. Beautiful exterior, modern and clean. A parking space and recharging station for electric cars. Nice pool, an outdoor grill, nice pet area, yes, pet friendly! A new catfish restaurant ready to open any time right next door and pizza place within walking distance. We will definitely continue to stay here each time we are through the Dothan area.

BW Dothan AL on Westgate Pky, is our stop of choice when going from home to family in Jax, FL. Shine BW took it over, the place and staff are great. Previous owners let the place go downhill but now the place is like new! It's a busy place but staff are attentive, amenities spot on and b'fast excellent! Plan to stay there every trip to/from FL!

Up here now fleeing hurricane Dorian. Clean sparkling rooms, hot fresh breakfast with tons of items, everything looks and feels new and fresh. Front desk staff Jordan and Amanda went above and beyond with friendly welcoming smiles, letting me know I could stay until safe to return home, provided restaurant and shopping suggestions etc. I pass thru Dothan frequently and this will now be my only place to stay. All the reviews you see online and true and accurate about how great this place is. Some people just know how to run a place and they do!

Nice location off the main road with lots of lawn to walk the dog. Walls are thin so some noise from neighboring rooms. Overall clean, but phone was dusty and had pet hair in cradle. Breakfast average.

Great king room, clean, newer carpet and paint. Comfortable bed, soft towels and sheets . Nice hot breakfast. Staff was helpful, check-in was smooth. Seemed updated like some of the Best Western Plus' we've stayed in.

Kaylynn gave the best customer service we have ever had. Plus the motel was very clean. Did not smell like smoke or animals. Great breakfast. Will stay there again. The breakfast was nice and fresh and equally hot which is hard to get these days. I appreciated having tea in my room for those of us who are not coffee drinkers.

Nice but could use some updates. The lobby was very nicely decorated and front desk staff super friendly. We checked in around midnight and the girl (sorry can't remember her name) that helped us was very sweet!!! Rooms were very spacious and beds were comfy. Should keep sheet set for pull out in the room- that would be helpful with extra pillow. Hallways were very musty smelling and could use updated carpet. Very nice and quiet. I would stay here again.

When I looked at this property online, I was impressed by the location and the pictures of the recent remodel. Upon arrival, my initial impression was also positive. Unfortunately, that is where the "honeymoon" ended. I arrived earlier than I anticipated and asked if they had any rooms that were clean and ready for check in. They said they only had one and it was on the first floor. I went to check it out and it appeared to be okay. This is where the night mare started. As I started to work on my computer, I first noticed a distracting noise / vibration. I turned off the AC and the noise was still there. A heard a loud noise outside in the hall and found the hotel cleaning staff bringing laundry into the room adjacent to my room. As I looked inside, I found the source of the vibration. The Hotel's commercial Washers and Dryer were mounted on the same wall that my desk and TV were on. When I went to the desk to ask for another room, I was told there would not be another room available until the next morning. Over the next couple days, I heard the words "I'm Sorry" numerous times from the desk staff. When we asked for milk at breakfast the next morning, "I'm Sorry" the truck didn't show up today. When I asked for an extra pillow, "I'm Sorry" we don't have any extras. When I arrived in my room after 5pm and found my room had not been touched, I asked if they had missed my room. You guessed it, "I'm Sorry", we will get someone right up there. They did and they removed the dirty towels but did not leave any replacements. Bottom line. I was fooled by the shiny appearance. I will not stay at this hotel on my next trip to Dothan. If you make the choice to try this hotel, avoid room 117.

While I can't correct the location of the washer/dryer I can certainly take measures to ensure they are not running after normal business hours. I do sincerely apologize for any inconveniences and will correct them immediately. Obviously there are training opportunities and I will conduct refreshers immediately. We stopped on our way to Panama city beach. Have been stopping at best western for the last few years. Really good staff and the pool was great. Our granddaughter loved it. And the bed was very comfortable.

We always stay at the Best Western in Dothan when we travel from West Palm Beach, Fl to Jasper, Alabama for the Rodeo. They are very clean and comfortable and you cannot beat the quality for the price. AND they have Milos tea in their snack shop!!

On our way to Florida from Illinois, we stopped at this Best Western for an overnight stay along with our older dog. The hotel was perfect, especially due to the efforts of Angela at the front desk, who actually read and honored the comments I had written along with the reservation asking for a quiet location away from ice machines and elevators! We googled local pizza places and had no problem ordering pizza from Marco's and having it delivered to our room—and quickly. The place is clean, quiet, and friendly, and the breakfast was good. Not sure if we will be back in Dothan, but we highly recommend this hotel.

We visited Dothan for a house hunting trip and stayed several days with our dogs. The hotel is in good condition and well kept. The check in / out process was quick and painless. The complementary breakfast was hot everyday and contained a variety of choices (please put out the ketchup!). The room was comfortable and everything was clean and in working order. The best part of the stay were the people. The GM, Wanda, will do everything in her power to make sure your stay is a comfortable one. She is fantastic and uses her southern charm to ensure everyone feels welcome. The maintenance man, Cliff, is also a great asset to the hotel. He is polite and does a fantastic job making sure everything is clean and in working order (give him a raise!). We will certainty stay again on our next house hunting trip!

We booked this last minute because our first hotel fell through. This hotel is very clean and nice. The young lady at the front desk was very nice. (I think her name was Jordan). She let me look at the room first to make sure it was clean. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and the room was very nice. We stayed one night and had no negative things to say about our stay. Nice room, friendly staff. The breakfast was a nice bonus. They had a nice variety of things for breakfast: waffles, biscuits, bacon, eggs, pastries, cereals, yogurt etc. Had a good experience here and would stay again if in the area.

The young lady that checked us in was very sweet. I loved it all except the bed was just a little hard, but that was just me. Driving from Florida we stopped at the Best Western in Dothan. After being in the car for about nine hours, we both wanted to exercise. However, the air conditioning wasn't working and the workout room was hot and stuffy. My friend could only stay a few minutes. I stayed oh little longer longer but did not get good workout. We called ahead and specifically asked if there was a workout room. The man at the front desk said yes, so that's one of the reasons chose the Best Western. This was the evening of April 29 and it was in the 90s that day. Exerting any energy in that exercise room was very uncomfortable. The room was fine and the air conditioner was working in our room.

This hotel is located off of the main road which leaves the traffic noise behind you. Very quiet hotel on the inside as well! Very nice desk staff. Parking lot very well lit. I will stay here again the next time I'm in the area.

To begin with, the front desk called us three times to be sure we were still coming. Once is enough - I'm an adult. To make it worse, one of the calls interrupted our dinner. I got the feeling they were overbooked and were scrambling to find accommodations. No - the clerk just wanted to close up and get to bed, and said so when we got there. What the hell? We were booked into a handicap-accessible room, hopefully not at the expense of someone who really needed it. The room was clean, the sheets smelled nice, and it was obviously spacious. The A/C didn't cool very well - this must be an ongoing problem at this change, our last stay in another city was the same. The bathroom was clean, but I found a puddle in the soap dish. Was it there from the cleaning, or had it been sitting there for days? Who knows, but that's sketchy. The breakfast was a huge disappointment. No waffle batter, no coffee cups, and one green banana. The eggs looked a bit rubbery, like maybe they were leftovers. I don't even wanna think about that. Is breakfast that hard? The hotel staff was offering regular drink cups, which had the wax melt when hot coffee was poured into it. Who drinks waxy coffee? Drive a bit further if you have to - I would skip this one.

To sum it up the room smelled like cigarette smoke and dirt. There was a finger nail on the bathroom counter so you can tell they didn't move things to clean. The mirrors were very hazy and streaky looking. Besides the smell the room appeared nice enough upon entering. However I will not be visiting this hotel again. I will pay a little extra for a better hotel. Wish I could give 2 1/2 stars.

Nice rooms and quiet. Good location. The staff was helpful. I would recommend no smoking signs in the pool area. Great value. Pool was freezing and small but my daughter didn't care! Overall good experience.

We stayed here recently and had an excellent experience with both the room and the employees. The room was clean and the breakfast each morning helped to start the day off right. Highly recommend to all!

We stayed one night on our way to Disney. The price was great! If all the rooms are like the one we were given, these are the largest hotel rooms that we have ever stayed in. Beds were comfortable. The bathroom was also large and very nice. Breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast bar.

I visit the Dothan area often and recently found this jewel of a hotel. Just off the main highway, but close to everything you might need. This hotel is clean, the beds are comfortable and the staff is excellent. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Definitely my first choice of places to stay in Dothan.

We booked a handicapped accessible room. When we arrived to check in, we were told "they" had a regular room for us. When I asked whom "they" were, they were very evasive even indicated I could have made a mistake. I had printed out my reservation and it clearly indicated, I had booked correctly. They would not do anyhing for us but we had no other option at that point. The excuse that a room may have been taken out of service was also mentioned but they could not tell me which room that was (likely a lie). The room we had was nice but not that great for a wheelchair. The bathroom was extremely small. I had to help my wife each time she had to use the toilet which meant I had to get up several times during the night. Only one of us could use the restroom at a time. The staff indicated they were so sorry. Not a lot of help though. We are also Choice Privilege Elite and were not recognized. When I mentioned that, all I basically got was no response. The staff had no idea what I was talking about. The hotel is basically nice in every other area. The breakfast was the usual breakfast at a Comfort Suite and everything was fresh and hot. Not sure if we would stay again though because of the error they were unwilling to take responsibility for.

Very large room 2 beds with sofa, large bathroom too. Nice and clean friendly accomdating staff. Easy in and out 1 block off Hwy 231. Will be staying here again on our return trip. Thanks for a nice stay.
