Best Western Dothan Inn & Suites

Great experience with Autumn. She was very warm and welcoming. She gave us all the information that was needed for our stay.

We booked way in advance via Booking site. We checked that they accept pets. We selected that we have pets when booking. Then, after 11 hours of driving, we arrived (2 adults, 2 kids, and 2 dogs) at this hotel around Midnight and we were refused accommodation because they said they have weight limits for dogs. This "limit" does not exist anywhere on their own website policy page, or on Booking. They never actually saw our dogs; they simply did not allow us entry and left us stranded, after a huge storm, in the middle of the night. We did find a nearby hotel that took us in with no problem. This Best Western location should be removed from Booking for treating customers with such disregard to customer service and even safety. NO SUPPORT was offered by the front desk either. Their answer: "It's our policy." Make it YOUR policy to NEVER stay there.

Room was filthy and stunk. Carpet was full of stains. Strong musty smell. Bedspreads looked dirty.

I've been a Best Western Customer for 25 years and have always experienced great Customer Service and enjoyed my visits at all locations across the US and Canada!

My credit card was charged for the day before . The dates were wrong. I was still going to stay and pay for a night on top of previous night I did not stay at the hotel. I was upset. Then the lady at the desk asked for my ID and credit card. I was giving it to her. My comment was you should already have it you already charged my credit card once. I was refused service. I left I have been staying at Best Western whenever I traveled. I will not be staying at your hotels anymore. Customer Service desk clerk was very rude. I have stayed at this hotel before and never had a problem.

Place needs maintenance and management. Room had mold, shower curtain rod dangerous. Management allowed a German Shepard in dining room. Couple said it was a Service Dog no tag. We were in first floor people above stomped around half night.

Clock in room. High toilets, special daily choices for breakfast. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Room was nice, but odd side would be away from highway, so quieter

The bed was wonderful. I didn't expect the hotel to be so updated, clean, and comfortable for the price we got for our group. We traveled with 30 teenagers and 5 adults. It was a great hotel. I highly recommend it.

I've seen some harsh reviews on this hotel that I believe are not comparable to my experience. The night at this hotel was peaceful and enjoyable. The AC could be set cold enough to run you out of the room I appreciate that more than you can imagine. The hostess at breakfast kept the food well stocked and the area clean. No negatives at this hotel. A lot of people may have agreed, the parking lot was packed when we left the next morning.

My family, along with two small dogs, was heading to Florida to visit family and needed a midpoint stop. After a morning at work followed by a long drive, we arrived late at this hotel. When we booked, we did so through the Best Western website. We reserved two separate rooms: one a standard King room and the other a Pet-Friendly room. Upon checkout, there is a section that breaks down the costs. We completely understand that some hotels charge a pet fee. We chose this one because the prices were reasonable, and the cost breakdown at checkout specifically showed 'FEES CHARGED UPON ARRIVAL: $0.00.' When we arrived at the hotel, it was late, and we were exhausted, as we had both worked our day jobs and then driven all day to get there. The desk clerk then added an additional fee of nearly $60 for the pets!! This is not what the checkout screen on the Best Western site showed in the price breakdown! I've tried to resolve this issue with customer service, but their support is nearly nonexistent. The first time, they appear to have been ignored when they tried to contact the hotel's management. The second time, the management provided only a vague explanation that fees may be charged at the hotel. So, does that mean the website's clear statement of '$0.00 in fees due upon arrival' is simply to be ignored? Best Western has lost a customer over this. We stayed at an alternate hotel on the way back, and it was so much nicer compared to the bait-and-switch tactic this hotel pulled. I've included a photo showing how they get you with this. I tried to repeat a booking of a pet-friendly room and you can see where it clearly states that there is a $0.00 fees due at the hotel.

Good stay. Check in was quick and easy. The room was clean. It is close to places to eat and shopping. The bed was comfortable and we got a good nights sleep. The breakfast bar looked typical, but we not use. I would have no problem coming back or recommending this hotel.

The room and bathroom were both spotlessly clean. Bed linens were in good condition as well as carpet. The breakfast bar had a variety of options available on different days of the week. The area was kept well stocked with paper goods and necessary utensils.

The beds as usual in the USA are super comfortable. The breakfast was allright - you always find something better in other places but you are not going out empty stomach. A smart TV would be great or the possibilty to plug in our devices and stream. Wifi was working good. Overall we had a good night sleep

Our stay at the Best Western in Dothan was just okay. The room itself was not well-prepared—there were old drinks left in the fridge, oddly small bed pillows, and no tissue paper in the bathroom. When the toilet clogged, the front desk initially told us they didn't have a plunger, only to later produce one after we pressed for a solution. Despite booking a room away from the elevator, the noise from surrounding guests made for a less-than-relaxing stay. Unfortunately, the front desk staff didn't add much warmth to the experience, as they were consistently unfriendly and unwelcoming. On the bright side, the breakfast was a highlight. The lady running it was an absolute delight—kind, attentive, and the only real bright spot in our stay. The food itself was solid, with the smoked sausage and scrambled eggs standing out. The location is also a plus—central to just about everything in Dothan. Overall, the mix of cleanliness issues, noise, and indifferent service at the front desk brought the experience down. The breakfast and its lovely attendant helped balance things out, but at best, this was a 3-star stay.

The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. Do nott stay here!! The lady at the front desk was rude and hung up on me when trying to make a reservation for my cousin who had been traveling all day. Worst customer service I have ever seen!!

Clean hotel, very friendly staff, good location, great price! Could use bigger pillows and maybe firmer mattress. Breakfast is typical continental style with cereals, fruits, oatmeal, waffles, eggs, sausage, gravy, pastries, yogurt, juices, milk and coffee.

I was very happy! The hotel itself was very clean and the rooms were the same way! I was very, very happy with the cleanliness of room and bathroom! I inspect carpet, walls and corners when I check into a hotel room, and everything about this one was on point. The breakfast was very good and fresh! I would stay here time and time again!

The hotel is pet friendly which is why we selected it as our overnight stop on our way to our Florida vacation. While the hotel was clean, our pet-friendly room smelled like dog horribly. We have a no-shed, well trained dog so this was very disappointing. I know, you think, well what would you expect? Certainly not a room that reeked of 100 dogs peeing everywhere. Ozone machines and carpet cleaners are not that expensive and if they would install a couch that was not fabric that would help enormously. While our room was clean in all other respects, we could not wait to leave that smell. Included breakfast was sufficient for my husband and a nice perk. Staff was very friendly and our room's location on the 1st floor near the back entrance was an easy walk to get to the green space. All fixtures in the room need a major facelift. Furniture was well worn, lighting in bathroom was rusted and the sink was badly cracked. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Ok for our purposes as a place to sleep during our journey, would be hesitant to recommend for long stays. Hopefully the regular (non pet friendly) rooms are nicer.

On arrival the front desk staff were friendly and pleasant. This hotel is located off the main road but on a busy secondary road. My room was a corner suite on the secondary road side and traffic noise could be heard quite clearly. The room itself was clean and very pleasant. The breakfast was standard fare and well presented. The hot items were fresh warm . When travels again have me passing this area I would stay here again. I would however ask for a room away from the highway side of the hotel.

Nice Hotel. Friendly Staff. Shout out to the woman working in the breakfast area who went over and above to accommodate our 16 person group for breakfast the next morning as we had to leave extra early at 6am. She made sure we were all fed and ready to go.

Planned a trip to Dothan because my son graduated WOCS at Fort Novosel. The location was quiet, safe and very close to grocery stores and restaurants. The rooms were clean and functional. The staff was courteous and professional. The Breakfast was very well done with enough variety that the finnicky eaters and family members on diets found something to eat. This is a pet friendly hotel so make sure you specifically state a non pet friendly room when you book if you have any family members with pet allergies or asthma.

The bathroom was filthy and the shower had hair still in the drain. We had to call housekeeping to have it re-cleaned. The shower curtain was too short so every time we took a shower, several towels had to be placed down on the floor to get up excess water, and to not cause a fall risk. There was only one light working in the bathroom and when I called the front desk to see if maintenance could come and replace the light bulb, I was informed that maintenance was off until Monday.

I booked a pet-friendly room on the Best Western website. Logged in as we have an account. No where on the website and during the booking process did it state anything about a weight limit for a dog, even whilst booking the pet-friendly room!! We arrived at the hotel this afternoon and I went inside to check in. I was asked if we were traveling with a pet and I said yes, a dog. The employee asked what our dog's weight is and I told her 60 pounds. She advised me the weight limit for pets is 30 pounds. I told her that's fine, our dog can sleep in our truck, which she's done before. She advised that was not possible, now that they know we have a dog over 30 pounds, they could not risk us “sneaking the dog in because they have cameras and other people have done it in the past.” So apparently, we're guilty upfront. I'm a 60 year old woman and my husband is retired law enforcement. We don't “sneak” dogs into hotels and try to pull a fast one. She canceled our reservation and we went to a Hilton which I should have booked in the first place. Sorry Best Western, but you lost any future business from us. You can have your Rewards Member Points, because we won't be needing them anymore.

Nice clean room. Staff is exceptional. Plenty of parking. Dog friendly. Free breakfast isn't the greatest but it is free! Shower head is what you'd find in a luxury hotel with a big diameter and full spray. The staff made sure we had plenty of towels checked on us via text

Excellent hotel. Nice layout of the room. Staff was very courteous and helpful. The morning breakfast was excellent and the menu slightly changes daily. The hotel is centrally located and slightly hidden from the main street. The rooms are quiet. I highly recommend.

Pool is freezing and impossible to use. They were accommodating in the fact they unlocked the pool ( normal hours) so we could use it but the temperature was so cold I could not do my therapy. This after we called before booking to verify pool was operational

Quietest room I ever stayed in. Great, friendly staff. Breakfast is much more than you would expect. Restaurant quality. Highly recommend for pet owners. Great pet area. Clean bathroom and everything worked. David's Catfish restaurant is in the parking lot.

My stays at the Best Western have been so outstanding that I will only stay at Best Westerns. Dothan Best Western was a perfect stay from checking in to checking out. Breakfast was fabulous with a great selection. It was well stocked and hot items were hot. Coffee was the great. Stay there!

This is a standard hotel. Don't expect high end amenities but do expect a clean room, a nice breakfast and nearby amenities.

The exterior of the property needed attention. The bed is extremely uncomfortable, and the room had a musty odor. The shower needs to be repaired to where water does not excessively flow onto the floor causing a slip hazard. Overall, the property needs to be closed and remodeled withy all new furnishings (bedding).

The rooms are always very clean at this location. Rooms always smell fresh. Desk staff is always very friendly

Spacious room, extremely clean, large comfortable bed. I have PD so my mobility isn't the best so I requested a bottom floor room, the staff honored my request and where very happy to help. I stayed 2 nights and it was peaceful. they also offer free breakfast in the mornings.

My wife and I stayed with our dog at this pet friendly hotel which was comfortable, clean , and reasonably priced. Initially we had a problem with a noisy air conditioner but the staff were gracious in moving us to another room without that problem. The free breakfast was okay but not exceptional. The hotel is located in a quiet and safe area. We enjoyed our stay.

The room was very spacious and very very clean and the staff was Awesome. There is a really nice Seafod and Steak restaurant within east walking distance so you don't have to get in your car and drive somewhere to eat Lunch or Dinner plus it has a bar if you want a nightcap.Highly recommend if in Dothan AL area

We play travel baseball so we come to Dothan alot and always stay here! The staff is always so nice and accommodating for the kids! We love the sweet staff and great breakfast options here! The beds and pillows are great. Love how the rooms have a pullout couch!

Comfortable and clean room, good breakfast, pleasant and accommodating staff. The mattress was a bit soft but overall we had a good one night stay and would return again. The motel is close to the main highway through town but far enough away that you get to enjoy a quiet environment

We often stop in Dothan overnight when traveling between our home and Orlando. The Best Western has become our favorite hotel when there. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the breakfast is good, and the employees are always kind and helpful.

We stayed over on our way to Florida. Our stay was very nice and comfortable. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. We have started using best western hotels almost exclusively. All of them have met our expectations.

Never been a huge fan of Best Westerns but this was ok for an overnight. Staff was nice and helpful. Walls very thin and we could hear the entire conversation of the people next to us but thankfully they didn't stay up too late. Everything smelled like strong bleach and there was a perfume smell which made me wonder what wS being hidden smell wise. But the room seemed clean. Room was hot and had trouble cooling it. Breakfast typical. There was a sign that said gluten free options available but I asked two people that worked here and they didn't know what gluten free was or if they even had anything. Not sure why it's advertised if they don't have anything. The hotel was ok though for an overnight.

Best Westerns can be hit and miss, this one is a solid miss. This is an ancient property that was re-branded as a Best Western in 2019. The carpet in the room hadn't been cleaned since the turn of the century and the bed was so old aand worn, we thought George Washington must have slept there. The room was literally on top of the highway and very noisy. This property is past its last legs and is a definite teardown. Do not even consider staying here.

Strkeplate on door was loose. Killed a roach in the bathroom, killed a spider on a pillow after pulling back the sheets. Comforter was dirty(was replaced) walls in bathroom were disgusting stained etc.

This is a very nice hotel! We stayed in a Queen suite and it was perfect! The bed was comfortable, there was a couch and a couch. There was a big screen tv. All was clean! But most of all I must praise the staff, especially CASSANDRA, who was in charge of the desk when we got there to check in after a long day on the road. Priceline had needed up our reservation - had taken my money but failed to send the reservation to the hotel. Cassandra went to bat for us in dealing with Priceline. She was finally able to get us in a room and told me to be sure to pursue getting a refund from Priceline as she had to charge me for the room. She is the kind of person the world needs more of! She went above and beyond.

The Best Western in Dothan, AL is by far one of the best hotels I've stayed in. It's very clean, quiet, and close to a lot of restaurants. The staff is very friendly and the continental breakfast is great. It's super pet friendly and has pa great area to take your dogs out for a walk,

Our room was on the first floor with easy access. It was clean and had no pet odor. There was plenty of grass for my dog to walk, doggy bags and trash cans. It was nice to have a hot breakfast offered and it looked good, but I was unable to eat any due to a medical procedure requiring me to fast. The only negative was the loud a/c that cycled off and on every 30 seconds it seemed and that kept me awake. The noise would drown out the TV so that the volume had to be constantly adjusted.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and we booked a room with a couch which was more family friendly for us. The hotel was in a good area. There was a strip mall with a coffee shop and Winn Dixie with in walking distance. The breakfast had alot of options from muffins, cinnamin rolls, yogurt, sausage and biscuit, waffles, eggs, fruit, drinks, and coffee. There were two staff members tending to the area keeping it stocked and clean which I was impressed with! Great family place as there were several others families with children also staying while we were there!

Pros: Clean room. Nice doggy area with bags. Staff was friendly and good parking. Cons: Pool water was green. Had a spider bite me two times during the night and found the next morning. Turned it into staff who made a note on a piece of paper, that was it?

We stopped at this location both heading to our destination, and during our return trip. We were greeted by friendly and pleasant personnel who showed an interest in making our stay a pleasant one, and it was both times. We plan to make this our favorite mid-destination stop.

The 3 good things are that the staff is very nice. The complimentary breakfast was well stocked and the staff kept it stocked during breakfast. The rooms were very quiet. I had more negative than positive though. We checked in June 9 and checked out June 12. Housekeeping did not come once. On our first morning, I had the sign requesting housekeeping. The lady was in the hall so I told her we only needed clean towels and the trash taken out. She thanked me. She didn't come. I didn't hang the sign or tell them anything the next time. They never came the next two days. With 4 kids and myself, we needed towels and toilet paper and the trash out. Our second night, I heard a roach in the bathroom trash. So the next night since they still didn't come, I put all the trash and both trash cans in the hall because I didn't want the roaches in there. I only saw one dead roach when we checked in and one dead one the night after I heard it. There was a pile of damp towels by our bathroom door. It was from 3 nights of showers for 5 people. The fitness lock doesn't work. The staff said you just open it. The door going to the pool worked to go out but the lock is broke and you have to go back in through the front. The staff said maintenance knew. The pool light was sitting out of the pool one morning with the wire attached going in the pool and the open hole from the light. People swam like that. The worst thing happened the last night as my daughter and I were sitting watching tv, with our backs resting on the headboard. There was a loud noise and the headboard fell down some. I leaned forward and it was going to fall on us. So my 11 yr old had to sit against it for about 40 minutes until the front desk came. She said there was no maintenance there. I could move rooms or stay. I just wanted her help to move the bed and set the headboard behind bed. It looked like the screws weren't in studs. They just screwed it in the wall. No telling how many more are like this. I took a picture of it. It just wasn't fun mostly because of the housekeeping issue.

clean spacious room, exceptional staff, great location close to everything, only draw back was some minor issues like the shower no working, soft spot on 3 story floor. the room was big, bed was soft and comfortable. "I would stay there again.

The room was very clean and a great size. The breakfast was very good. The staff was very friendly. We will definitely be staying there again. The pool looked nice but we did not use. Also the location was great.

This BW is on par with the BW Gainesville Gateway. Super staff....Super clean...excellent fitness room...Just everything was really, really good. Plus, a more than good breakfast. I am just so very pleased with my stay. Definitely coming back when we go thru again.

Traveling with a certified service animal and one in training. Pet fee ($25) waived for the ESA. Booked room only 3 hours prior to arrival. Available pet friendly room was 2 Queen with a nice sitting area…2 comfortable chairs and end table were much appreciated as I ordered delivery dinner. Room was very clean and did not smell like the Veterinarian's disinfectant. The AC was set on 64. Not sure why. Reset to 69 and room was quickly comfy. Beds were comfortable and linens were good. Standard bathroom amenities except no make up remover towelette. Large vanity area great for setting out personal items for hair care and make up plus pet supplies…food, halters, leashes. Apartment sized fridge with small freezer was awesome…allowed refreshing if cold packs for cooler. Also small microwave, coffe pot and coffee pods for pot.

Great plac,e super clean,super friendly staff we had a late check in due to a long drive we checked in at 9pm bed was comfortable and the room was clean breakfast was good had waffles eggs and biscuits and gravy not 5star but better than most gas station biscuits. I will absolutely be staying here again this place makes me want to check out other best westerns

This is a Diamond in the rough! The employees are what makes this hotel so wonderful! I've never stayed at any other hotel with so many wonderful personalities! They all are so nice and pleasant, they treat you like your family! And it shows that they mean it. Best bunch of employees I've ever run into! And a few years back we used to stay at least 50-100 nights in hotels traveling. By far, the BEST employees.!

Main floor rooms are generally pet friendly rooms. Access to pet area is convenient and well maintained. Area is quite large. Breakfast is run of the mill but well stocked and the hot foods were hot and fresh. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room as very clean and comfortable. Definitely a Diamond in the rough.

A decent hotel. It was clean, parking was easy but the breakfast was below par. We went out for breakfast. There were a number of restaurants very close by. If your not concerned about breakfast I would stay there.

It was a weekend trip and did some Christmas shopping and looking a travel trailer s at the local rv dealership we also had some dinner at did some errands .the hotel was very pleasant and we had a wonderful time.

This place is clean, quiet, comfortable beds, with a super friendly hardworking staff. There is plenty of grass to walk your pets. There is a great restaurant next door, a grocery store across the street, and pizza place a block or so away. The location is great being just off the highway. It was the perfect stopping point on our trip across the country.r

This was a perfect stop for a single female traveler. The room was large, the bed was comfortable, front staff was very friendly, the shower could have been a little more powerful, but it got the job done, and the breakfast had everything I needed. I would totally return.

The staff persons were professional yet kind and helpful. The room and whole hotel is clean and well kept, including the grounds. I slept so well on the comfortable bed and the pillows were sensational. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Travel with a pet can be difficult with the high fees and lack of availability in rooms. Best Western hits the mark on a reasonable fee for pets as well as accommodations. The staff was very friendly and helpful- I had no issues finding information, someone was always at or near the front desk even later in the evening, so I had no issues with anything I needed. There is a Walgreens, Winn Dixie, Dollar General, and a David's Catfish and Mama Goodberg's within walking distance, and other stores and restaurants are very close by. The one complaint is that the bed was a little firm, but did not provide any issues sleeping.

I am a Gold Card member and the 1st room had a dirty used washcloth, paper left on the floor, and hair in the bed. 2nd room had a phone that did not work. Still charged me and did not even give me extra points

We were looking to take a short stay cay! Dorhan is about 2 hours from Destin. Best Western was comfortable, clean and friendly. Close to some attractions. Not too distant to downtown. Staff was helpful. Coffee available at most times even in the evening.

The hotel is very clean and modern and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. After a long drive, I was looking for a good restaurant nearby and a catfish place kept popping up. I Googled the distance from our hotel and it said 350 feet. How perfect was that? The meal was excellent by the way1 Breakfast at the hotel next morning was hot, plentiful and everything was clean!!!

I,m a platinum card holder the hotel was good the only problem was that we had trouble with the shower to work when we check out we told the lady at the front desk she told us that they should have told how the shower was to work other then that the place was very good

We were extremely impressed with this hotel. Updated, modern, and clean! Our king suite was very specious. Comfy sheets as plush towels. A very good experience. Breakfast was good. Easy to recommend fir good lodging at a ver good price. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Very clean hotel! The staff was very nice and housekeeping would ask if I needed anything. It is across the street from Winn Dixie, so it made everything I needed really convenient. The mall is also just two blocks down the road. Enjoyable stay!

No usb ports in room,snowflaks(stupid guest) not returning luggage carts to front area but keeping in room overnight. Good point a excellent restaurant next to hotel. Easy to find. Near shopping center and quiet.

I made a reservation for 1 room suite with 2-Queen beds. I booked early on 7/15/2022 to ensure I had the correct room needed. Upon arrival to hotel I called at 19:50 and 20:06 to ensure the room was booked, ready and had the available bedding that I previously booked. Hotel member ensured me that everything was ready for our stay. The second phone call was to notified staff of our late arrival due to driving 5 hours and 30 minutes to get to the destination. When we arrived to the hotel the hotel employee checked us in and sent us on our way to our room. When getting in room it is a room with 1 bed and pull out couch. This was not the room I purchased a week prior. I went back downstairs and told the employee this was not the room I booked. He stated all rooms were filled and sold out. He tried calling the general manager 3 times due to his unawareness of what to do. The manager of course did not answer at 2:30 am and he told us to speak to the manager in the morning because she would be working. After getting to room we find uncleanliness in the pull out couch with old caprisuns and straws. Along with this the sink in the room would not even drain properly so it was unable to be used properly. These concerns were not voiced due to the morning conversation with the assistant manager. Myself and another guest went downstairs to speak with manager and she stated she was aware of the issue and would be refunding us and that she was sorry for the issue. We went on to breakfast and left the hotel. At check out I asked the manager when I would receive the refund and she stated 3-5 business days. Today, I called the care line asking for an update on the refund because I was reminded by a survey that was sent to my email. The care line stated no notes were even added into the account about this incident. The representative made a ticket, reached out to the manager of the hotel we stayed at and told us she never said anything about a refund. So I called myself and spoke to the general manager. Starting off the conversation with unprofessionalism, no name was presented to me as a caller until I specifically asked to speak with the manager. The manager acted very unprofessional stating she was not giving me my money back even though the assistant manager said we would. She said the assistant manager stated she never said that, which was a total lie. The manager clearly saw no issue with the hotel giving a customer something that they did not purchase. Could you imagine going to a restaurant and getting the wrong thing and the manager not fixing the issue even though they said they would? The manager was very rude and unprofessional making it seem like the customer was lying and taking an employees word even though the employee told me something totally different. The manager told me that the assistant manager stated I would get the $50 refund, I voiced my concern because I knew I would get the $50 refund considering it was a hold for incidentals so this excuse made no sense to me. I asked the manager to elaborate and she just stated she was not refunding me and dismissed my concern. The manager also rudely and with an attitude stated I only made the reservation for 1 adult; which is true because one week in advanced it was only for 1 guest and it changed that is why I called prior to arrival to ensure the bed situation. The manager basically dismissed my concerns and did care, stating the conversation was going nowhere. I am not even worried about $108, I am more disappointed and dissatisfied with the care and unprofessionalism I endured. I hope nobody ever stays and has the same issues I've had because this is not a way to enjoy a vacation.

Other than the brown spots on the curtains and dead fly behind the mattress everything was good. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was in a good location. Beds were comfy and bathrooms were clean.

Clean, spacious room, price was right. We just needed someplace for one night so we thought we would check it out. We don't usually stay at a BW unless it is a BW Plus, but we would give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised.

Love staying at this hotel. The staff is very friendly and always helpful. Love the area and fingers there to be good restaurants and shopping. The breakfast is good and well organized. Room was spacious and well maintained.

Check-in went smoothly, front desk staff was efficient and welcoming. This is a dog friendly hotel with a great dog walk area, although the doggy waste bags not available. The room was spacious and clean. Only problem we encountered was the bright outside LED light that made our room appear it was daylight during the night. The black out curtain was too short, allowing the light to flow in.

I think that people in our group got more sleep than I did as they had top floor room. I could hear almost everything guys staying in the floor above me was doing. Bed was good but I did not like the pillows.

We are Diamond Club members and have enjoyed many Best Westerns across this country but this one was the BEST WE HAVE EVER STAYED IN! The staff, the rooms, the location....everything you can say about a stay-over here was perfect!

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and all the staff were helpful and nice. The location is in and good area and close to everything. The pool was also nice and warm. I would most definitely recommend this hotel.

Rooms were very nice. Looks almost brand new. Is a much nicer stay the older Best Western from ten years ago in Dothan. Much much nicer now. All inside, great room. Easy in and out. We will try to stop there again.

This was my first visit to this hotel but I was pleasantly surprised and will be back again. Monet was awesome and the rate could have been lower but most hotels were booked already so considering that it was a good rate. The room was clean and comfortable. The tub was great, deep enough to get into and soak and it has actual hot water, not luke warm like some other places. I will be back for sure.

Standard Best Western with the staples for breakfast. Lobby and breakfast area was clean. Hotel room was at a good temperature, smelled decent and was up-to date. Check-in staff was very friendly and helped direct me to local place for supper. Internet and ice machine worked good.

Changed the cost and terms on us twice after booking an all inclusive rate. We ended up having to leave for another hotel and lost a night's stay. Rude staff and manager. Will never go to a Best Western again.

We had a bad experience at another hotel when going though Dothan last year so we thought we would give this place a try. We were glad we did. Nice staff, comfortable room and easy to find location. We will be back

Excellent stay. All employees were very friendly. The rooms were clean. Beds were great. The area is perfect to bring your pets to. Lots of grass space. Nice restaurant next door. No need to get back in the car. Breakfast was okay. Would definitely stay there again.

My dad truly loves hot breakfast. Dothan is the place where he grew up and when he returns to visit from Ohio he simply loves Best Western. There is no other Hotel on the city that makes him happy. Keep up the good work!!!

The hotel was great! Positives: Clean and spacious room, soft bed and towels, plenty of parking, excellent breakfast, nice lobby, great check-in and check-out. Good location, Could be better: We had loud people next door to us but this was not the fault of the hotel. We would definitely stay here again!

We arrived in the area to stay at a hotel already arranged by a relative to unknowingly know by them the hotel was under remodeling. The room we were supplied was under construction and could not be occupied. They cancelled our reservation so had to find another location. I had stayed at this Best Western a few yrs ago and was very pleased. I called and Terri gave us the internet senior rate. We arrived and she made out stay very comfortable with very easy check in and to take care of any problems we may encounter. Highly recommend, very clean, great location and excellent staff.

Hotel was clean, safe, nice decor, pet friendly. The breakfast had protein like omelettes and sausage, not just breadstuffs. The front desk was super nice and helpful. I like the little snack bar by the front desk for drinks, snacks, and small items available even late at night.

The best western hotel has met our every need and has went above and beyond customer service hospitality. We would like to thank the staff that every time we enter the doors they greet us with smiles.

On our way to the Florida coast and we decided to stay here. Glad we did. This property is very clean and quiet. The rooms were comfortable. The staff was great from check-in to check-out. We will be back. Also close to local restaurant.

Thé room was clean enough but couldn't find tv remote the people upstairs were making a lot of noise the people on both sides had tvs very loud we got no sleep and when we went to take a shower the shower didn't work

I love it here!!!! Best hotel in Dothan! Very peaceful, Best amenities, and fresh HOT breakfast! The employees are very helpful and always with an amazing personality!!! I would stay here every time I come to town!!

Lots of little things wrong. There was a small amount of toilet paper on the roll and no extra roll - how would you like to discover that at 3AM! Only two Kleenex in the box and no extra box. HVAC unit could not be turned off. Even with “power” in off position, it continued to run. Comforters on bed are too hot to sleep but there is no extra blanket to replace them. No TV channel guide. All of these items are available at the front desk, but what a hassle. Then to top it all off, there was a very severe weather event that affected our home but the only channel we could watch in the breakfast room was ESPN “per Corporate directive” - “ “all news is too controversial”. This is ridiculous, everyone staying here is traveling and interested in the weather for their trip because it might affect their plans. How can this be controversial. We won't be staying here again.

The first thing I noticed upon walking in to our room was that it smelled very clean! Out of habit, I checked the mattress and linens before bringing my bags in and everything was clean and orderly. All surfaces had been wiped down. I felt comfortable walking throughout the room barefoot without dirtying my feet. Out of personal preference the things that could have been different - more wash cloths. There were two of us staying two nights and I would have liked to have had a new wash cloth for us each both each night. There were enough towels (although I dont mind reusing those). I could have asked the desk for more wash cloths, but did not have the time to do so with the wedding I was a part of. The bathroom does not have any air circulation within the room since the AC unit is mounted under the window. In order to cool the bathroom, you have to leave the door open with the AC set in the 60s, which can be uncomfortable when needing to use the facilities. Consequently, in order to cool the bathroom you end up freezing the area closest to the unit which is the bed. So you either swear and suffocate from the shower steam or you freeze when you go to bed. Other than those minor critiques, it was a very pleasant stay. I greatly appreciate the cleanliness of the space and would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

If you love the smell of bleach and urine this is the place for you. The toilet had years of caulk added to the wobbly toilet. The A/C was so loud it sounded like aliens were landing. The beds we thin mattresses that are clearly old and hard as bricks. The showers we old and stained. This place is like putting lipstick on a pig. I travel a lot and this place is sad. I'm not sure who has been staying here but they are clearly easy to please. This property is disgusting.

Located in safe area. Rates are great. Outside is very nice and cared for. Inside clean and fresh! Room were so welcoming after a long drive. Clean clean clean !!!! Beds comfortable, bathroom clean. Could even walk around barefoot !!! The nicest, cleanest Best Western I ever stayed in. All staff were wonderful.

I made a reservation online. I waited at the hotel nearly three hours to be told room was not available; there would be an additional $100 charge for a non-pet room and when I refused, was told there was a 24 hour cancellation policy and I would be charged for the room anyway. All this occurred as I was evacuating due to Hurricane Ida. I would not stay at a Best Western in the future if I was paid to do so. Way to take advantage of people in a terrible situation.

My wife and I recently stayed at the best western on Westgate in Dothan. We love this place and will stay again next year. The staff is very friendly and do a great job. We loved our room, it was spacious and clean and comfortable. The breakfast was perfect for me. If you have a choice then this is where you should stay. I wish more places were like this Best Western.

For six years my wife and I have stopped in Dothan twice a year coming and going to our winter home in Florida and until two years ago, we stopped in another pet friendly hotel nearby. However, it has become so run down and nasty, we started bypassing Dothan to find a cleaner & safer place to stay. We were so glad to learn that this Best Western accepts cats and were delighted to find it so clean and quiet. The staff was top notch too. And to our surprise, there's a fantastic restaurant right next door! Will certainly make this a regular stop from now on!

I love the fact that they let you bring your pet. If you have a dog, there is a Church with a softball field about two blocks away. We walked up there, closed the gates and let him run free for at least a half an hour.

Very nice and clean place to stay--Staff very efficient and very friendly---and an added bonus is that there is a David's Catfish House restaurant right next door to the Best Western---we had a very nice dinner meal there---overall it was a great place to stay---there is a Winn Dixie grocery store just across the road and a Little Caesars Pizza nearby

IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN DO NOT STAY HERE! I have never heard of a more horrible experience at a hotel as my daughter and her friend experienced this weekend. They were there for a travel ball tournament. 8 rooms booked in all. Returned to their room which was next door to my husbands at 6:45 pm from a long day of baseball and dinner. Management called twice saying a gentleman on the floor below was complaining of noise. They said there was no noise as my granddaughter was in the tub and one other child was on the bed watching an iPad. The other two children were in my husbands room. At 7:30 a gentleman knocked on the door and demanded they vacate the property immediately. Two women and four young children at 7:30 pm with no explanation except they were too noisy and the man below them had complained 15 times. They had only been in the room 45 minutes. The man said both women and children had to leave they could not stay in my husbands room. They were able to sneak the kids in my husbands room and they escorted my daughter and her friend to their car and said you will not get a refund. The hotel was full and very noisy with a jazz festival going on. Did these people get targeted? NO! They ask to speak to the manager and was given her cell number but she never responded. DO NOT STAY AT THE BEST WESTERN IN DOTHAN OR ANY BEST WESTERN FOR THAT MATTER! I used my points to book this hotel and will be leaving the same review with Chase.

Great stay Only problem was with trying to claim rewards coupons there has to be a better way than email. If you qualify for the coupon put by your rewards points so you can book in advance and not sit there emailing each other or taking pictures of coupon off the customer's phone. The GM and the front desk lady were very helpful in getting the task done.

A wonderful hotel and great location. The rooms were clean with plenty of space. Beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly. The breakfast had a wide variety and was good. Absolutely no complaints about this establishment. I highly recommend it.

We had stayed at the old motel and that was what we were expecting, but were pleasantly surprised when the GPS took us to the new location. Great parking, clean outside and the exterior looked nice. CeCe at the Front Desk welcomed us with a kind word and smile and the stay went up from there. The room was Excellent, clean, spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was fantastic with lots of choices; omelets, hash browns, waffles, cereal, Danishes, etc. Staff is super friendly and made the stay that much more pleasant. If we are ever in the area again, we are definitely staying here again

I stay here every Friday night for work and I love it. The rooms are so clean and the staff is amazing! Highly recommend staying here! Checking in and checking out is such an easy process. Haven't had breakfast yet because I tend to leave early but it sure does smell wonderful!

This is a great place to stay. Perfect for pets. Clean, comfortable rooms. Very convenient outside pet areas. Friendly staff and breakfast as good as any restaurant. Don't get fooled by coupons and cheap rates at other hotels. You get what you pay for!

I traveled all the way from Ohio to Dothan, AL for my brother's wedding. I brought my dog (a staffordshire terrier) along for the trip. I had my travel agent call ahead of time to makes sure the hotel didn't have any breed or weight restrictions. Their website DOES NOT have any weight/breed restrictions listed but I wanted her to make sure. The travel agent verified with someone named Autumn that they would allow me to check in with my staffy. Upon arrival, I was refused a room because the manager said they didn't accept "aggressive dog breeds". What a crock of crap! The BW I stayed at in Bowling Green, KY just a few nights prior was incredibly kind to me and my dog. I'm so frustrated and disappointed with this place. All other dog friendly hotels in the area are booked so I guess I'm sleeping in my car?...

Seems like newer property. Very clean, friendly staff. Good parking - and for those traveling with pets: good walking area for your fluffy babies. Slight drawback, no eating establishments within walking distance for those of you, like me, who don't like getting back in the car after a long, driving day. Problem solved when I spied the Winn-Dixie across the street, so before checking in, I stopped in for some pre-made salad and frozen dinner...

Decided to spend the night to break up the driving time on our vacation. Before I say anything else I want to say how awesome Monet was at the front desk. She is super friendly and did an amazing job. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning great. We will definitely stay here again.

Came off the road tired the sweetest lady at the front desk and even one came from on other office we was laughing at taking about my old fashioned name, left right at home if definitely stay here again. And the room is lovely and clean 5 star in my book.

We liked everything about this hotel. Large, clean room, comfortable bed, very friendly staff. Can't tell you about breakfast because I worked late and slept in. When we were here it was priced considerably below other top rated hotels and was a great value.

This is second time we have chosen here on way to beaches. It's a great location , very pleasant employees (monette) , especially helpful on phone making plans and when we arrived. Very clean rooms , beds and pillows very comfortable. Offers hot breakfast now , NIce variety of items . Will be a place I would not hesitate to recommend to others .

This was by far the best motel we have been to in a very long time. Kim checked us in and she is amazing with customer service. Wore her mask correctly and made she everything was great. Highly recommend.

Made a reservation on Booking & spoke with Autumn, she stated that Booking said no charge until check in. But had to call us back & said manager does not honor Booking. But would hold our room until 7PM. Arrived at 4PM & Kim newly promoted front desk Manger was telling 2 other guest as well as us that the system cancels all reservations that are not already paid or Arrived & paid by 3. She also continued to state nothing she could do & that all the hotel manager & owner cared about was money & not the guest or employees. Also was supposed to call us back & never did. Was also advised that owner/hotel Manger could careless if us & the other 17 guest they cancel reservations on found rooms or not. This was on Saturday March27th. Do not stay here.

I feel comfortable when I drove into the parking lot it was clean no people hanging around and as I enter the hotel we were welcome with a smile and a cheerful heart The desk clerk explained everything we needed to know about do's and don'ts The rooms were clean the guests were friendly the staff was very friendly friendly and helpful I am most definitely will stay there again can't wait.

I really enjoyed staying at BW for my vacation. The price was budget friendly and the staff is excellent and very attentive. The room was very clean as so was the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends!

Excellent property. All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful, checkin was quick and easy. Rooms were as described, with everyone we needed. We ate at a restaurant by the hotel, and even the waiter commented on how nice the hotel staff was. Hotel was close to shopping, restaurants, a grocery store, everything we needed was close by. We will definitely stay here again.

We've stayed in two other chain hotels in past years as we travel to Florida. This year we decided to try the Best Western. Price was right, the building is newer and very clean inside. There are a couple of restaurants located close to the hotel.

The property was very nice. The rooms were clean and fresh. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was close to main highways and to restaurants and stores. You could see and sense that the property was well managed and staff very personable.

Checked into the Best Western January 1, 2021 about 7 pm after a long day of driving was greeted with a smile by Angela who made every effort to accommodate us with a room that was exceptional, clean, well maintained and nicely appointed. Angela even offered us a bottle of water and apple, asked if their was anything else she could do to assist us. The next day Wanda checked us out, she was just as accommodating and friendly. We made another reservation at this property and will continue to stay their when passing through Dothan, Al. The staff also followed all Covid policies & procedures

Stayed here one night on our way through. Front desk area smelled kind of musty when we walked in, but our room didn't smell and was very nice and all seemed clean. Bed was NOT comfortable for us though, very hard, and towels pretty thin. Plus the shower was a pain to figure out and work. Breakfast was a cold grab & go but they had coffee, juice, yogurt, cereal, muffins, apples. Was priced more than the Pear Tree we stayed at the previous night in another area and they had super comfortable beds and hot breakfast, but this is the best I found in this area. Front desk girls were okay, though not overly friendly. We had dogs with us and they didn't tell us about it at the front desk but we found a nice grassy area on the side of the hotel to take out pets, with pet disposal bags and a bin. Usually BW is better. Not sure if we'd stay there again bc of the beds.

The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The room including the bag from are clean. We had plenty of space in our room. We had our pet with us and had easy access to the outdoor pet area. There were poop bags available in that area.

Very close to a very good restaurant (walking distance). Literally adjoins the hotel parking lot. Within 5 minutes of many other restaurants and a star bucks within an eighth of a mile. Off the main road of 231 to remain quiet from traffic.

This was a spur of the moment trip and I needed somewhere to stay for the night. I've stayed at other properties before but not this location. This location exceeded my expectations! The rooms were large, spacious and quiet! Michelle at the front desk was the absolute best! We will most definitely be back!

This Best Western in well kept, super clean, modern, comfortable beds, pet friendly, moderately priced, good selections for continental breakfast. A very good deal for the money. Would definitely recommend this motel. All the the staff we spoke with were very nice and friendly. Marilyn working the desk in the mornings was especially friendly and helpful. And there is a very good seafood / catfish restaurant with walking distance next door.

This property was spotless in our guest room. We had no issues with anything. The hotel was full on a Saturday night an yet was quiet once 9 PM or 10 PM came along. Breakfast? No the hot food under normal conditions but bag lunches amply supplied with goodies was what we took along with us in the morning.

Cannot say one thing I would change regarding our recent stay - staff was efficient and polite, lobby was welcoming and clean. Room was more spacious than anticipated, all surfaces were cleaned and smelled of non-overpowering disinfectant. Location was ideal; right across the street from a grocery if needed, numerous restaurants extremely close by. No question that this will be our stay of choice when we visit the area again.

Very clean pet friendly hotel with a great staff. We arrived a little early and Michelle was very helpful in getting into a pet friendly room when we arrived. We appreciate her extra effort when we were aware check in time wasn't until 3(we didn't take into account the time zone change). Hotel was home base for several baseball teams playing in a tournament but the boys were very quiet in the hotel. Free parking and internet. There is a minimal pet fee. Lots of grassy areas to exercise your pet. Pool area was very busy. Room was very large with 3 separate living areas. Breakfast area was closed but Grab and Go was available. Only issue we had was the walls are thin between rooms. Guy next door was an UNBELIEVABLE snorer. We turned on the A/C to constant air and turned on the sound machine to drown him out. We will stay here again. Michele was great!!

Rooms were fairly clean & linens are nice. When we moved the coffee table for the pull out couch there were two straight pins and a ponytail holder on the floor. The shower is tricky to get started and I couldn't figure it out so I gave up and took a bath. The mattresses are the thinnest mattress I've ever slept on and the air conditioning was inadequate.

We enjoyed a very comfortable stay at the Best Western in Dothan. The room was very nice! The employees were friendly and helpful. Everything was clean!! We only stayed for one night. But we will definitely stay there again the next time we visit Dothan!!

You will be very pleased with overall stay at Best Western in Dothan. Amanda, front desk associate, was very pleasant from arrival to departure. She even made sure we received our breakfast bag before hitting the road again! Papa John's Pizza delivery was a plus!

Because of Covid 19, I knew the hotel would not be full. We had a nice room...a sofa and king size bed. The room had a slight odor, but we thought it might be because we had a small dog (a room for pets only). Also knew there wouldn't be a full breakfast as usual. All hotels have started doing this. However, when I went to get coffee at the front, there was no regular coffee, which the front desk lady said she could make some. We were ready to be on our way, so didn't wait. She also had to explain to us old folks how to turn the spray on for the shower. She was so kind!

Clean hotel with fruit basket at the front desk. Motel had new carpet, duvet covers with thick quilt that made it excellent for sleeping. We had a room with a couch but you could not see the tv from the couch. Water saver on the shower

WOW what a sweet Best Western this was! The young lady at front desk was so nice and welcoming to me after I had bicycled over 60 miles for my cross country bicycle ride. The hotel inside and out was very well maintained and clean. My room was very large, very well set up for my needs and was extremely clean. While on property I did use the business center (that was set up and worked better than most hotels). I slept well in a very quiet environment and a really nice breakfast, then was ready to pedal away. Nice Best Western indeed! TheBigRideforEB.com

After a 2 days (28 hours) of driving we were ready for a good night's rest!! This hotel was clean, had good customer service, beds were comfortable and overall just wonderful!! Thank you for a peaceful night!!

We stayed overnight at this BW...it's pet friendly and we were traveling with one dog. The room was on the ground floor, close to the side exit...clean and newly updated! The staff was friendly and efficient. I will stay again on my next travel ! Good job!

The first room that we were given had long shaggy black dog hair covering the comforters on both beds. The dog hair and some other type of hair was also by the pillows, the bed skirt, and the mattress. We didn't look at the room any further and decided to just go to the front desk and request a different room. The second room had a few little black bug shells or something on the comforter and when I pulled back the sheets, I was horrified to see that the sheets were so dirty and stained that you could see lighter, maybe cleaner, areas of the sheets where they must have been creased or wrinkled when they were laid on. I have never seen sheets that filthy in my entire life nor can I imagine how they could become that dirty to look like that. When I went to turn on the light next to the bed, I happen to see a wash rag thrown behind the nightstand. The carpet had rocks and dirt chucks on it. Lastly, the bathroom had several little plastic hair bands broken and thrown onto the floor. Neither of the rooms appeared to have wiped down nightstands. That was more than enough for me. I don't know what hotel that these other people saw and wrote all these rave reviews about, but it sure wasn't this place!!! DISGUSTING! I wished that we would have taken pictures because they speak volumes but I wanted out of that place as quickly as I could!!!

The check in experience was great. Amanda was very friendly and helpful. The website did not make it clear we would be charged a pet fee upon arrival. She was very understanding. The hotel was like new. It was very clean and modern. Beds comfortable.

I don't want to give a bad review, because this is a nice, clean hotel, and the staff was friendly. However, I was not happy with my stay overall. We arrived at 5:00 pm to check in. We assumed it would be quick, so we planned to check in first, then grab a bite to eat before we headed to our event at 6:00. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned. We checked in fairly easily, signed paperwork, then headed up to our room. The first thing we noticed was a "Do Not Disturb" sign hanging on the door knob, so we thought, "Is this someone's room already?" We knocked on the door, and with no answer decided to open it. Well, the TV was on, the bed was unmade, and there were used towels all over the bathroom. So, we immediately closed the door and went back downstairs to the desk. Both employees were very confused as to what happened. (I'm assuming the room was supposed to be cleaned and wasn't?) While trying to help other customers, we were told they would figure it out. I assumed it would only take a few minutes, so we waited. We even told them we had somewhere to be at 6:00, but needed to eat first. They eventually found another room, but instead of us going to the room, we had to wait even longer for an employee to go check it out first before giving us the key. (I thought this was silly since they knew we were in a hurry to leave.) Once he came back and said all was good, we went to our room. The first thing I noticed was the handicap logo on the outside of the door, so I knew something was up. We opened the door, and sure enough, not only is it a handicap room, it's also a room with 2 beds instead of a king. (I reserved a non-smoking, non-handicap king room.) Of course, I'm upset because this is NOT what I reserved and NOT what I paid for. By this time, it's nearly 5:40, and we still had to get food before going to our event at 6:00. Needless to say, there was no time to complain, and we were still late to our event. It would have been nice if I had at least been told that they were downgrading my room before sending us upstairs. It also would have been nice to have been offered a discount due to the room downgrade. Since they knew we had somewhere to be, they could have offered to have the room cleaned and ready for us upon our return. (That would have been just fine!) Anyway, the hotel was clean, and everything else was fine, but I feel like it was wrong to downgrade my room with no explanation, compensation, or apology. I will pick another place to stay next time.

Great stay in Dothan. Our check in was quick, the staff was friendly, the location was quiet and very safe. I felt very comfortable traveling with a child. We had a suite style room and it was a great value.

Stayed here in a suite room with family during Christmas. The hotel had very friendly employees - both at the front desk and the lady who prepared breakfast. The breakfast spread was terrific, hotel was clean, and location was convenient and safe.

I was tired & cranky & ready 2 stop. Walked in the entrance & Amanda greeted me right away, which I love. She was precise & direct on her answers to my questions. Which I love also. Amanda was so nice & our room, 329, was FANTASTIC. My husband & i had a restful sleep. Today is our 23rd wedding anniversary. Thank you, Amanda, for your wonderful attitude. We are feeling good this morning.

We stopped last minute on a trip from Oklahoma to Florida. I had not stayed at a Best Western in several years but decided to give it a try. We checked in with 7 kids and they made our check in quick and easy and breakfast in the morning satisfied all.

This property was amazing due to the warmth and helpfulness of Cecil at the front desk. The breakfast was great and the rooms were clean and accessible. The handicap room was large enough for my husband to maneuver his electric wheelchair in. I do suggest a shower chair in the shower though.

I hope I get the chance to stay again. I enjoyed everything about my stay. Breakfast was nice. Huge room. Great for myself who needs to use a walker in the evening. Would be nice to have better water pressure in the shower.

We're in town for business. While looking for a dog friendly property we stumbled into the BW. Wasnt sure about their brand but they have obviously upped their game. Beautiful fresh facility with lots of space in the rooms. the staff has been over the top from the front door, to the lovely manager, to even the maintenance guy! Walking in feels like home with these good folks and thats really nice when on the road. Highly recommend!!!

My husband and I stayed for 6 nights, 11/24 thru 11/30, we were visiting family for the Holidays. I have to say as a travel agent for AAA here in Allentown Pa , Everyone that works at this hotel was on point. What I mean by this is that they were very nice, helpful, customer service was great and they had smiles on their faces, which goes a long way. Keep up the good work. Mildred M. We stayed one night in the hotel. It was a comfortable and well appointed room with mini fridge, microwave and sink. A real plus. Our one complaint was the breakfast, However because I gave an unfavorable review about it got a phone call from manager (Wanda) who was so nice, polite and apologetic about the incident as well as giving us a $20 credit for the inconvenience. This was terrific customer service. I work with the public myself and this attitude is what I appreciate and we would visit this hotel again. Thank you Wanda

We enjoyed a very nice stay at BW. The room was very clean (like new). The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed a great night's sleep. We enjoyed a very delicious breakfast each morning. The dinning room was very spacious and comfortable.

We have stayed in this hotel each year as we tavel to Florida. It is clean, conveniently located, has friendly staff, and never a problem! We will continue to stay here as we pass through Dothan. An excellent choice!

I usually avoid BW due to not so good past experiences but after reading other reviews decided to book it. It's pretty darn nice! Pros: location surrounded by lots of retail and restaurants. Close to Walmart too! Room is clean, bed is comfortable, heating/cooling is quiet, roomy bathroom, nice staff, good variety for breakfast. No major Cons. I Would stay here again.

I would recommend the Dothan Best Western to anybody for getaways or family events.. it was quite clean and very professional.. I am planning another trip and I will book at this location again.. and it's at the perfect location for eats and different locations..

Currently staying here for a two day business meeting with about 35 other employees. The process to secure the rooms with the staff was very easy and Wanda, the manager, and Amanda were very accomodating. Hotel is clean a a great value. Would recommend to others traveling on business. Cannot speak about the pool or workout room, but so far it has met my expectations.

Time you walk in you smell felt. Upon inspection I found the pillow slips on the couch with salt badly and smelt badly upon looking around in the room the rugs was stained unbelievable upon further inspection I look behind the bed and the Dust cover on the bed was so appalled Dusty and stinking the dust was all on the lamps the telephone behind a nightstand it was horrible in that room then I went to take a shower and couldn't because the faucet thing for the shower did not work. I stayed a total of 30 days and I had to have my key rekey every two to three days

Very clean, friendly, helpful and dog friendly. Block in off 231 and close to mall and variety of eating establishments. Goodbye dog friendly competitor. Best Western, you nailed it. Highly recommend.

Our stay was very nice and comfortable. The hotel staff and management were very helpful and accommodating to our every need. The rooms were very nice and clean. The beds were comfortable and plenty of pillows. Each morning the breakfast was fully stocked and ready by 6 am making my day very nice with a full tummy. There was plenty of parking in the lot and we always had a spot close to the main entrance. Overall I would say our stay was a 9.5 out of 10. I took off a half point because the TV remotes dont have a source or input button making it difficult if you plug an outside source to the TV's. The hotel did have a remote at the front desk I was able to use to connect my laptop.

On my way back to Florida we stayed at this hotel. We had a confirmed reservation for a king suite. When we checked in we were asked if we wanted express check-out or have the bill slipped under the the door. We chose under the door. Our room turned out to be a room with one queen bed. My wife called the front desk and was told there were no other rooms available. Hmmm! She was told $20 would be deducted from our bill. $20 for an uncomfortable night's sleep. Breakfast in the morning was not good. The hot choices were eggs cooked like I've never seen before, over cooked dried out sausage patties that I couldn't cut with the plastic knife and I think breaded chicken that also looked dried out. The other choice was the waffle maker. No bill was slipped under the door. When we went to the front desk to check out no one was there. Five minutes later the desk person showed up. We asked why bill wasn't slipped under the door. He said we need to ask for express check-out for that. Not what we were told when we checked in. This is not the experience I want to have on a long drive from Illinois. I'll choose better the next time.

This is a excellent place to stay. Everyone is so nice the rooms are large and very confortable. They have a good breakfast. Everything about this Best Western was excellent. We will be staying there again in April

if you like hearing dogs bark all night then this is the place. asked to be moved did not happen asked for money back did not happen. all pet owners and pets should be on the same floor.no rest at this hotel

Hotel is approximately 300 yards from the main highway which made it a very quiet stay. There are approximately 3 places to eat within walking distance. Many more are only a shot drive away. Room and mattress were very comfortable. The night desk clerk was very helpful and pleasant.

We stay at this hotel 3-4 nights every month. The rooms are always clean. The lobby is always clean and has comfortable seating. The breakfast area can sometimes get a little crowded on the weekends. The hotel is close to the mall. It is very close to many good restaurants and fast food restaurants, too.

This place was great in so many ways. Dothan is a very busy town but this new hotel sits one block back from the busy 231 circle up against a quiet neighborhood. Just far enough away from the traffic to feel tucked back safely away from the hustle and bustle. Beautiful exterior, modern and clean. A parking space and recharging station for electric cars. Nice pool, an outdoor grill, nice pet area, yes, pet friendly! A new catfish restaurant ready to open any time right next door and pizza place within walking distance. We will definitely continue to stay here each time we are through the Dothan area.

BW Dothan AL on Westgate Pky, is our stop of choice when going from home to family in Jax, FL. Shine BW took it over, the place and staff are great. Previous owners let the place go downhill but now the place is like new! It's a busy place but staff are attentive, amenities spot on and b'fast excellent! Plan to stay there every trip to/from FL!

Enjoyed the friendly staff and warm welcome to the motel. Highly recommended for business or leisure travel. Located near several stores and restaurants. Plenty of parking with a well lighted parking lot.

Up here now fleeing hurricane Dorian. Clean sparkling rooms, hot fresh breakfast with tons of items, everything looks and feels new and fresh. Front desk staff Jordan and Amanda went above and beyond with friendly welcoming smiles, letting me know I could stay until safe to return home, provided restaurant and shopping suggestions etc. I pass thru Dothan frequently and this will now be my only place to stay. All the reviews you see online and true and accurate about how great this place is. Some people just know how to run a place and they do!

This was my first stay at this hotel and would return again next time in the area. I was impressed at the professional service and friendly staff. Excellent service and beautiful room. I find no fault with the hotel with the exception of the breakfast. The breakfast was not bad, but could be better.

Nice location off the main road with lots of lawn to walk the dog. Walls are thin so some noise from neighboring rooms. Overall clean, but phone was dusty and had pet hair in cradle. Breakfast average.

Great king room, clean, newer carpet and paint. Comfortable bed, soft towels and sheets . Nice hot breakfast. Staff was helpful, check-in was smooth. Seemed updated like some of the Best Western Plus' we've stayed in.

Kaylynn gave the best customer service we have ever had. Plus the motel was very clean. Did not smell like smoke or animals. Great breakfast. Will stay there again. The breakfast was nice and fresh and equally hot which is hard to get these days. I appreciated having tea in my room for those of us who are not coffee drinkers.

Nice but could use some updates. The lobby was very nicely decorated and front desk staff super friendly. We checked in around midnight and the girl (sorry can't remember her name) that helped us was very sweet!!! Rooms were very spacious and beds were comfy. Should keep sheet set for pull out in the room- that would be helpful with extra pillow. Hallways were very musty smelling and could use updated carpet. Very nice and quiet. I would stay here again.

When I looked at this property online, I was impressed by the location and the pictures of the recent remodel. Upon arrival, my initial impression was also positive. Unfortunately, that is where the "honeymoon" ended. I arrived earlier than I anticipated and asked if they had any rooms that were clean and ready for check in. They said they only had one and it was on the first floor. I went to check it out and it appeared to be okay. This is where the night mare started. As I started to work on my computer, I first noticed a distracting noise / vibration. I turned off the AC and the noise was still there. A heard a loud noise outside in the hall and found the hotel cleaning staff bringing laundry into the room adjacent to my room. As I looked inside, I found the source of the vibration. The Hotel's commercial Washers and Dryer were mounted on the same wall that my desk and TV were on. When I went to the desk to ask for another room, I was told there would not be another room available until the next morning. Over the next couple days, I heard the words "I'm Sorry" numerous times from the desk staff. When we asked for milk at breakfast the next morning, "I'm Sorry" the truck didn't show up today. When I asked for an extra pillow, "I'm Sorry" we don't have any extras. When I arrived in my room after 5pm and found my room had not been touched, I asked if they had missed my room. You guessed it, "I'm Sorry", we will get someone right up there. They did and they removed the dirty towels but did not leave any replacements. Bottom line. I was fooled by the shiny appearance. I will not stay at this hotel on my next trip to Dothan. If you make the choice to try this hotel, avoid room 117.

We stopped on our way to Panama city beach. Have been stopping at best western for the last few years. Really good staff and the pool was great. Our granddaughter loved it. And the bed was very comfortable.

From the time we arrived the staff has been friendly and very helpful to our needs. Room very nice and clean. We needed to extend our stay and the front desk staff very helpful. I don't have any negative remarks only praises for a wonderful stay vacation.

We always stay at the Best Western in Dothan when we travel from West Palm Beach, Fl to Jasper, Alabama for the Rodeo. They are very clean and comfortable and you cannot beat the quality for the price. AND they have Milos tea in their snack shop!!

On our way to Florida from Illinois, we stopped at this Best Western for an overnight stay along with our older dog. The hotel was perfect, especially due to the efforts of Angela at the front desk, who actually read and honored the comments I had written along with the reservation asking for a quiet location away from ice machines and elevators! We googled local pizza places and had no problem ordering pizza from Marco's and having it delivered to our room—and quickly. The place is clean, quiet, and friendly, and the breakfast was good. Not sure if we will be back in Dothan, but we highly recommend this hotel.

Extremely satisfied with the room. Beautifully decorated and comfortable. Large spaces with comfortable seating and bed. We had everything that we needed for our overnight stay. Breakfast was good with lots of choices.

We visited Dothan for a house hunting trip and stayed several days with our dogs. The hotel is in good condition and well kept. The check in / out process was quick and painless. The complementary breakfast was hot everyday and contained a variety of choices (please put out the ketchup!). The room was comfortable and everything was clean and in working order. The best part of the stay were the people. The GM, Wanda, will do everything in her power to make sure your stay is a comfortable one. She is fantastic and uses her southern charm to ensure everyone feels welcome. The maintenance man, Cliff, is also a great asset to the hotel. He is polite and does a fantastic job making sure everything is clean and in working order (give him a raise!). We will certainty stay again on our next house hunting trip!

We booked this last minute because our first hotel fell through. This hotel is very clean and nice. The young lady at the front desk was very nice. (I think her name was Jordan). She let me look at the room first to make sure it was clean. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and the room was very nice. We stayed one night and had no negative things to say about our stay. Nice room, friendly staff. The breakfast was a nice bonus. They had a nice variety of things for breakfast: waffles, biscuits, bacon, eggs, pastries, cereals, yogurt etc. Had a good experience here and would stay again if in the area.

The young lady that checked us in was very sweet. I loved it all except the bed was just a little hard, but that was just me. It would probably be great for others, The pillows were fantastic, I would love to have some at home! The breakfast was good, lots of choices, hot and cold. The room was clean.

Driving from Florida we stopped at the Best Western in Dothan. After being in the car for about nine hours, we both wanted to exercise. However, the air conditioning wasn't working and the workout room was hot and stuffy. My friend could only stay a few minutes. I stayed oh little longer longer but did not get good workout. We called ahead and specifically asked if there was a workout room. The man at the front desk said yes, so that's one of the reasons chose the Best Western. This was the evening of April 29 and it was in the 90s that day. Exerting any energy in that exercise room was very uncomfortable. The room was fine and the air conditioner was working in our room.

This hotel is located off of the main road which leaves the traffic noise behind you. Very quiet hotel on the inside as well! Very nice desk staff. Parking lot very well lit. I will stay here again the next time I'm in the area.

I was very pleased with my stay! The front desk was very informative and helpful. I loved my room, the bed was so comfortable and the tv made me feel like I was at the movie theatre! And the housekeeping staff was amazing! Overall the best stay out of any hotel I'ved stayed at so far!

Excellent service, comfortable beds, nice linens and great location. I appreciate the friendly, helpful staff. They are always so helpful especially Angela, who works its the front desk. The breakfast bar is well organized and clean. The breakfast bar offers a little more than most.

To begin with, the front desk called us three times to be sure we were still coming. Once is enough - I'm an adult. To make it worse, one of the calls interrupted our dinner. I got the feeling they were overbooked and were scrambling to find accommodations. No - the clerk just wanted to close up and get to bed, and said so when we got there. What the hell? We were booked into a handicap-accessible room, hopefully not at the expense of someone who really needed it. The room was clean, the sheets smelled nice, and it was obviously spacious. The A/C didn't cool very well - this must be an ongoing problem at this change, our last stay in another city was the same. The bathroom was clean, but I found a puddle in the soap dish. Was it there from the cleaning, or had it been sitting there for days? Who knows, but that's sketchy. The breakfast was a huge disappointment. No waffle batter, no coffee cups, and one green banana. The eggs looked a bit rubbery, like maybe they were leftovers. I don't even wanna think about that. Is breakfast that hard? The hotel staff was offering regular drink cups, which had the wax melt when hot coffee was poured into it. Who drinks waxy coffee? Drive a bit further if you have to - I would skip this one.

To sum it up the room smelled like cigarette smoke and dirt. There was a finger nail on the bathroom counter so you can tell they didn't move things to clean. The mirrors were very hazy and streaky looking. Besides the smell the room appeared nice enough upon entering. However I will not be visiting this hotel again. I will pay a little extra for a better hotel. Wish I could give 2 1/2 stars.

Clean rooms, helpful, attentive staff, good location near multiple restaurants, shopping, easy access to the city. Breakfast was adequate but nothing special (it was complimentary after all) w/eggs, biscuits,bacon,fruit, breads,yogurt, etc..

Nice rooms and quiet. Good location. The staff was helpful. I would recommend no smoking signs in the pool area. Great value. Pool was freezing and small but my daughter didn't care! Overall good experience.

We stayed one night on our way to Disney. The price was great! If all the rooms are like the one we were given, these are the largest hotel rooms that we have ever stayed in. Beds were comfortable. The bathroom was also large and very nice. Breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast bar.

I visit the Dothan area often and recently found this jewel of a hotel. Just off the main highway, but close to everything you might need. This hotel is clean, the beds are comfortable and the staff is excellent. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Definitely my first choice of places to stay in Dothan.

We booked a handicapped accessible room. When we arrived to check in, we were told "they" had a regular room for us. When I asked whom "they" were, they were very evasive even indicated I could have made a mistake. I had printed out my reservation and it clearly indicated, I had booked correctly. They would not do anyhing for us but we had no other option at that point. The excuse that a room may have been taken out of service was also mentioned but they could not tell me which room that was (likely a lie). The room we had was nice but not that great for a wheelchair. The bathroom was extremely small. I had to help my wife each time she had to use the toilet which meant I had to get up several times during the night. Only one of us could use the restroom at a time. The staff indicated they were so sorry. Not a lot of help though. We are also Choice Privilege Elite and were not recognized. When I mentioned that, all I basically got was no response. The staff had no idea what I was talking about. The hotel is basically nice in every other area. The breakfast was the usual breakfast at a Comfort Suite and everything was fresh and hot. Not sure if we would stay again though because of the error they were unwilling to take responsibility for.

Very large room 2 beds with sofa, large bathroom too. Nice and clean friendly accomdating staff. Easy in and out 1 block off Hwy 231. Will be staying here again on our return trip. Thanks for a nice stay.
