Best Western Des Plaines Inn

The pool was closed, not sure if they plan on reopening it. The free breakfast was alright. The room was large and the Wi-Fi worked well. It is about a ten minute walk to downtown Des Plains, you can get on a rapid train to downtown Chicago. I would park at the hotel and walk.

The Best Western Des Plaines Inn is a great choice if you're looking for a place close to O'Hare Airport, about a 10-minute drive away. I was searching for a hotel that was both affordable and clean, with free parking, and this place checked all the boxes. The staff are welcoming, there's a complimentary breakfast, and the rooms are quite roomy. Plus, there are plenty of things to do around the hotel if you find yourself with some free time. It's a solid option for anyone needing a comfortable stay without any fuss.

Had a very nice stay here at the end of January for three nights. Room was spacious, clean, and the beds comfortable. There was daily room service which was refreshing, and the breakfast was always a good selection each morning. The pool was unfortunately closed for maintenance while we stayed there.

The lobby bathrooms are closed; which makes it inconvenient if you have to use the restroom after breakfast and before you leave the hotel. The bathroom signs tell you to use your room bathroom instead. The key card reader for the room staircase near the main entrance doesn't work. This makes it inconvenient if you taxi back from the city and dropped off at the front. The second floor has been updated with newer standup showers, but the 3rd floor is dated and has a musty odor. The first room I had on the 3rd floor had the toilet seat covered with some type of dried up brownish/reddish liquid. Assuming some type of body fluid. However, the staff was apologetic and gave me a new room right away. But the new room I had was out of body wash in the shower, tissues, and short of toilet paper. When we had breakfast the next morning, the yogurt was 6 days past the expiration date. The pool was closed the whole weekend of our three night stay, which should've disclosed when making the reservation online rather than advertising as an amenity. The key cards also randomly stopped working during our stay and we had to replace those.

It was a one night stay but we really enjoyed it, the kids loved the pool, the breakfast was good. Plenty of parking spaces. The lady at check in was nice and professional. I do recommend it, don't let the bad reviews stop you, I almost didn't stay here. I will gladly stay here again.

our go to place when visiting family. Love that the staff has become familiar faces to us and they recognize us. Our room is always clean and we love that we have had zero issues. Can't wait to go back!!

There was a pest control van outside when I checked in. When I got into bed at night. There were multiple cockroaches in and on my bed. Staff were very rude and asked me to prove that there were roaches so I took a video. They did eventually get me a different room, but overall full of roaches, bad smell to multiple rooms, and rude staff.

The hotel is super clean as I am a business traveler which had a flight at Ohare Airport.I highly recommend this hotel and breakfast.The cook is awesome and tended to my needs.I will definitely be back.

The person that prepared breakfast kept wiping their nose with their hand, did not wear gloves and kept touching all the handles and food. Bring your own food!! We had to switch rooms because the toilet didn't flush, we were given a room that the tv didnt work so they switched tv's between the rooms. When a family with multiple small kids kept making noise at 3am I was told to live with it or I could move.

Staff was friendly and courteous - the cleaning lady even asked if we needed our rooms cleaned rather than just barging in. The in-house gym and pool looked very nice, though we unfortunately didn't have time to use either during our stay. Breakfast was delicious and the breakfast room is cozy. The room smelled nice and the beds, blankets and pillows were amazing. The water pressure in the shower was great, too!

I had a good stay there. There are several places to eat and shop close by. Breakfast was ok didn't seem to have a lot of choices. But worked out for me. Parking was a little tight. I would stay there again.

After checking in, we found stains and questionable substances on the fitted sheet and mattress pad of both beds in the room. We were offered alternate rooms when we addressed the issue with the desk clerk, but we did not feel as if any of the rooms would be sanitized appropriately after our initial findings. We chose to check out due to our overall uncomfortable experience. The overall check-in and check-out was approximately 30 minutes. When I attempted to call the hotel to speak to the general manager there was no answer throughout the day, nor throughout the week. I ultimately contacted Best Western customer relations to request a refund because we were charged for two rooms at the normal rate, and customer relations contacted the general manager, Selma Hurem. Customer relations stated that Selma informed her that because we chose not to take alternate rooms, we do not get a refund. Due to this experience, and the disregard for customer satisfaction, I will no longer stay at Best Western, and I will provide details of this experience to any friends, family, or co-workers who are looking for hotels to stay in.

General Manager is rude and extremely unfriendly. We had a family emergency and needed to end our stay short by 1 day. The staff, including the general manager, would not even give a moment to listen when we tried talking to her about our situation. She immediately began to talk over us, and just repeated herself over and over about her inability to cancel and refund our second night, she "needed 72 hours notice." We stay at Best Western hotels quite often, and are platinum rewards members; we expected at least some respect to listen to us, and not just interrupt and repeatedly talk over us. The entire hotel is supposed to be a smoke-free hotel, but the second you stepped foot into the hallway all you can smell is cigarette smoke and the smell of blunts. The women's bathroom on the 1st floor by the main lobby was never available for use; it was always locked, and the response I was given when I asked if I could use the restroom was to just use the men's (this was upon arrival at check-in and the following morning when attempting to have breakfast). Breakfast was supposed to start at 6:30, and when we came down at 6:40 it was not open yet. We flipped the chairs and started working on some of the cold breakfast items while waiting for the hot items because we needed to get on the road, and in return we were yelled at for eating breakfast before them being ready.

It was a very comfortable stay at this Hotel. The Location was comfortable and in walking distance of what I needed and wanted to eat and all. The Staff was very helpful and courteous to me and whatever I needed. I'll come stay again at this Hotel again!

This property neglected to list ongoing construction that limited the available on-site parking. Then suggested we park in the Handicap spot, which is illegal. We requested a refund and they refused.

This is the best place I've stayed in this price range. The rooms were clean. There's a pool. Breakfast was nice. Staff were helpful and willing to help. Internet was fast. Walking distance to many places to eat. A lot of parking spaces.

Only good thing about this hotel was locatio & continental breakfast was good!here's what was wrong: lumpy pillows, toilet clogging nonstop…in multiple rooms. Musty smell….muggy poor air quality…..no toilet paper! Vending machine water empty! Public bathroom on first floor out of order. I would not recommend staying longer than 1 night!

Quite a few problems when staying here actually to start upon check-in you are required to sign a waiver stating that I knew the rules and policy over smoking and the consequences that would come with it and obviously that rule is not enforced as walking down every hallway it wreaked of smoke and that even traveled into my room. The TV was broken you couldn't hear anything and the color was green The remote didn't work like that mattered anyway, The shower curtain was completely off and thrown on the desk in the room and there was no place to actually hang the curtain so if you dare to shower you would flood the bathroom and then it would start making its way into the room itself flooding the carpet. There was screaming from multiple rooms throughout the whole night until the early hours of the morning so safe to say I didn't get much sleep at all. With many other places around it Don't waste your money here

Very clean, good staff, excellent breakfast. They are re-modeling the hotel. The workmen doing the remodel work did not start until 8AM. The construction was kept to a mimimum to the guests. Hotel was very clean,

In town to see a concert and this location was perfect! Clean rooms with both fridge and microwave included and a full breakfast at a very reasonable price. But the highlight of the trip and this location is Sabrina!! She was so friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Thank you, Sabrina!!

I love the way they don't be all in your business and they call if you got visitors they don't just let anyone in the hotel. They also have convenience stores all around the area and I also love the way they have the breakfast.

We were in town to visit family and friends. The location was perfect, the motel was clean, the free breakfast was actually good. The price was right.the staff was polite and professional. I will stay here again on our next trip to Chicagoland

Quiet enough. Breakfast just OK. Nice pool, though did not use. Convenient for Des Plaines, walk to nearby iconic Beacon Tap. Had major issue with housekeeping; they said it was a training issue. I grew up in this neighborhood.

I really don't understand the bad reviews. It was very clean when I checked in, and my room was great. The friendly clerk, Sabrina, found me a better rate than I had contracted for. My room was quiet. The breakfast was good, and there were plenty of restaurants nearby.

Room was dirty. No soap, shampoo, lotion in the dispensers. Mold all over bathroom. Breakfast was minimal and did not even had napkins. Entire hotel was dirty and pretty gross. Smelled like smoke everywhere. I have stayed at many Best Westerns and this one is an embarrassment to the brand!

Dirty, outdated, poor surroundings, shady activity inside and out. Not a safe environment. Hallways and stairwells smelled like weed. A car drove through the rear fence, then stripped the plates off of it. Heard gunshots on a couple of the nights. Constant banging on exterior and interior walls. Cars and bikes revving at 0200 hrs. Not a good stay. Springs could be felt through mattress. Plumbing in need of upgrade. Crack in sink countertop.

Was not able to get a good night's sleep due to the party next door to which nothing was done about it . Was told by the front desk that they did not hear the noise and even if there was noise there was nothing they could do about it would not move me to another room nor gave me credit. Music thumping, doors slamming and loud laughing n talking between 11:30 and 3:00 a.m on a Sunday. got a hr late wake up call almost missed the breakfast that was blah . Needs improvement in staff, breakfast choices and working handicap chairnpool lift.

This hotel is ...weird. The room was clean and beds were ok. But many little things were off. The interior doorknob came off in my hand. Reported day 2 of our stay. Never addressed. It took over 24 hours to get a plunger for the toilet after my second request. While our room had towels and soap, other family members did not. There is a hot breakfast provided with waffles eggs and meat and bread, but no toaster. If lots of little things put you off this may not be the place for you.

The picture of this hotel is extremely deceiving. It is more like a low grade motel, which their staff are rude, unprofessional, disorganized, and the environment is dark, old, and wore down pretty badly I won't even give them one star. I have stayed in several Best Western properties before. This is the worst by far. After one night of stay, we.decided to move to another hotel. When we checked out, my familg and I waited for 15mins at the front desk because no one was there. After calling their phone number, a very unhappy lady picked up the call unprofessionally with an angry voice answered. Until I told her I wanted an invoice before checking out, she then showed up with the phone in her hand front the "back room," and she identified herself as the General Manageress there. When we tried to explain to her, she sarcastically replied to us, "I agree. People like you should go stay somewhere else." I have been traveling around the world, and I have lived in all kinds of accommodation. This experience with this particular BW is the worst by far. Hence, this is my warning to you. There are many BW property. This branch is not one you will wanna live in. Beware!

Below par for BW standards. Nothing is spectacular, isn't particularly clean nor is the service anything to write home about. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone unless in a pinch. Breakfast was ok at least.

I have stayed at this Best Western location about 3 to 4 times and I really like it there. Very quite. Very clean. I love clean. The rates were nice. The staff at the front desk are very nice people. I had a package delivery there and AL at he front give it to me. Great job to all of the staff at Best Western Schiller Park, Ill

I paid for a hotel room through Priceline for 1/2/22 through 1/5/22. I checked in on 1/2/22and the heat went out in our room. The manager was very rude and unapologetic and said well I can change your room. The 2nd room had been used and wasn't clean from last occupancy. So the housekeeping had to come back up after I call to clean room . I also cleaned room because of covid and I am immunocompromised. After an hour the 2nd room did not get warm and we were in our coats still. So I called manager 3 time and she came up very agitated and said she would switch us again. We asked could we wait til the other room warmed up before we moved our things again and I disinfect again. She got very upset and told us to check out because she could not accommodate us. She said she was gonna call the police. She refused to refund our money. So I called the police and made a report. The police told me that our request were not unreasonable and gave me a report number and a card to give to credit card company for a refund since the manager was being very unreasonable. He said that you can even review body cam footage. We did not receive anything we paid for and the manager said she was not refunding our money. The police also stated that they have had frequent run ins with that particular manager . The manager placed us in a uncleaned room in the middle of a pandemic. ??

This is an old hotel and its age shows everywhere. Many things not working or under repair. Room was clean on the surface but hadn't been dusted in years. Tons of dust comes out of the heater so guessing the filters haven't been changed in a long time. Also, there were four very tiny pillow for a queen bed. They weren't even twin size.

Upside was the price of the room and the location. The hotel is on a bus route to O'Hare, and walking distance to the center of Des Plaines. The room was clean and comfortable and quiet. The property as a whole was somewhat worn, with construction on the pool making a mess in the hall, and some services like the elevator problematic. The staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good, except the eggs were a bit runny.

Once a nice clean place to stay. It's now run down, dirty and nothing works. No pool, it's green algae color look appealing was you walk by. No Coffee and working juice machines. Side door off main lobby has no security. Just not a well managed property. Shame.

With electric plugs not working and water damage door with rust in bathroom. TV with the words on it, not having matience anywhere to resolve any of these problems. I have never been so disappointed, came in for my son's Birthday who has been gone seven years now.

We booked an overnight stay in late September 2021 and it was a huge disappointment. Just about everything on the property was closed — Lobby Restrooms, Fitness Center, Pool. The food items we purchased from vending machine were molded — front desk refunded the $. We arrived for breakfast shortly after they opened the next morning only to discover the coffee machine was out of order, as were most options on the juice machine. Scrambled eggs were gone with promise to make more but never arrived. As for our room, it did appear clean and the bed was comfortable. The sink faucet leaked all over the counter and the A/C fan was loud.

All days I was there: Coffee machine broken, hot breakfast was supposed to be served by 630am, it was not. Indoor swimming pool CLOSED, Exercise room Closed., Hallway smell musty/humid. Rooms although clean, had bathroom & fixtures from 1980, .... & staff was smoking cigarettes right next to side entrance where we guests park our cars, smell of tobacco all over this parking are, doorway and hall leading in, -- good luck!

Personally, would not come back to this location again. Unsure about staying in any best western after this experience. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. This was meant to be a nice relaxing time but was anything but.

Avoid this place at all costs, unless you dont mind the smell of musty rooms and marijuana in the halls and elevators. Toilet didnt flush properly, hair on the bathroom walls and shower walls. I am convinced that BW is trying to turn into the Super 8 or Motel 6. BW quality has gone down hill fast.

Best Western option on the outskirts of Chicago, about 45 minutes to downtown by car although was unable to find local transit within walking distance. Des Planes seemed to be a safe typical suburban community with local restaurant options and shopping, convenient for those wishing to stay outside of the city for easier travel by car upon leaving. Definitely in need of updating, some non functioning lighting in the room, tub liner in need of replacement due to staining, carpets in need of steam cleaning, etc. Low cost if needing a place to rest for a night, would not recommend for an extended stay.

We liked and enjoyed our stay at best western hotel.Everything was good and organised.the manager and house keeping staff was excellent.the breakfast was great with many choices.rooms are big and clean.hotel staff is very friendly and when ever we had any problem they solve it.we will definitely will stay again at best western hotel.thanks

Clean, comfortable, absolutely no problems with the room. The only minor problems were: 1night had someone very loud in the hallway. Disappointed pool wasn't open. Probably open back up soon. Also I prefer a little softer mattress. I have stayed at this facility around 7 times and have been satisfied each visit. Good price for the area. Will probably stay there again my next visit to DesPlaines.

The landscaping was nothing but weeds. The parking lot was full of big pot holes. The pool was closed. The elevator kept getting jammed. The "continental breakfast" consisted of a frozen breakfast sandwich in a brown paper bag. The carpets looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years. Website pictures are very deceiving. Not a good choice.

For the price of the jacuzzi suite you really can't beat it. It's functional and comfortable. AC works fine. I stayed at the Hilton last month and AC was broken with it being so hot these days it's a must. The jacuzzi was awesome and not stingy in size ! My only qualm was the actual exterior you would not expect such a nice room.

Checked in, slept well, checked out. Great location, well run hotel. Surprised by how good the beds were. Hope they will open the fitness room soon. I'm going to keep coming back to this one in Chicago area.

I have been to a lot of nice hotels throughout my travels and have done a lot of high end and unfortunate low end motels and I guess we all have to livid and lean. I am at this best western in Des plaines Il and will never come here again. We periodically come here aNd stay because of the jacuzzi suite. I never stopped traveling even thru the pandemic and I have always stayed in decent locations but this place really thru me off today. They are now doing a grab and go breakfast from not having one at all and my husband is a big guy so I requested an extra sandwich for him. The guy at the front desk told me he can only give the number of sandwiches for the number of guests in the room. Now, if that was the case he should have given me one and I understand that this is the standard for hotels but I am the only one here on record. I got upset because as I told him when the continental breakfast was available I could do extras and he told me once again that is how it is. What upset me about this whole situation was when I called customer service he became angry and told me he could have me put out of this hotel for my actions and I told him I would like to see that. He went on and on in threatening to have me removed from this motel. I am a middle aged black woman that loves good service this is unacceptable and customer relations was no help she was more worried about the food than the threat of putting me out. It's sad but she offered me 3000 extra points for my next stay to get 10% off I told her to keep them cuz we are done why would I spend money on bs like this when I know what luxury is. I have never seen anything above and beyond motel status with the best western brand. With all the racial tensions right now for someone to threaten me like this and I have dropped $200.00 with you it's a sad situation.

I'm goin keep it 100, it's very motel-ish, BUT it's decent for the price and location. Follow me. It definitely looks like an old motel that was refurbished. It has an old look on the outside. But the lobby was nicely decorated even though you can't use it yet. The pool area looked decent but it was out of order. The room could use some better carpet and lighting. But it was clean and spacious. I had a 1 king bed with sofa sleeper. The shower was actually really great. Needs better shower curtains. I like having a wet bar and more counter space. Had good cable too. The customer service was great. Towels were rough but I didn't have any issues getting any. And I think they would cleaned the room if I allowed it because they actually asked. It was quiet for the most part except for some kids above me. But I can experience that anywhere. There are tons of restaurants, shopping and things to do nearby. The taco place across the street was REALLY good. For a cheap place to stay for a night or two, this place wasn't bad.

First and foremost I have to commend the kindness and empathy of the manager, the friendliness of front desk staff and efficiency of housekeeping. I had a medical issue which prevented me from traveling on my original travel dates and had to change my reservation. Even though my reservation was made as non refundable, the manager kindly worked with me to find a solution. The front desk clerk was friendly and welcoming at check in and housekeeping does a wonderful job of cleaning and keeping the room tidy and well supplied during my stay. I also can't stress the convenience of this hotel to the airport offering many great activities, dining and shopping options within a few miles. They do offer free parking and do have airport shuttle for those not renting a car. The price point of this hotel is GREAT! While it's not high end and yes while it could use some updating... To be treated with kindness, a welcoming attitude and to have very clean well stocked rooms is my biggest priority and this hotel hit all marks. Thank you to all the staff!

It all started with the reservations. Upon check in (Friday, May 15, 2020), there seemed to be a question in locating our reservation. Even though I called two (2) days prior to our arrival to check that everything was in order. I was assured that our reservations were confirmed. Once the front desk found the reservation, we were told that we were going to be charged full price for the duration of our stay. This meant we had to pay an additional $436.80 which was not in the budget. We were informed to contact corporate on the following Monday, which we did, and were told that Best Western refused to honor the original reservation. As for the rest of our stay, we had to deal with children running above us at midnight two days in a row. Television reception was unavailable on one of the days and when it was available the TV would “drop-out” every thirty minutes which became quite annoying. We informed the front desk, the very first day, that the toilet was not flushing properly and was still not repaired on the day we checked out. The latch strike plate on our door was loose causing us having to slam the door to make it secure. Understanding that there would be no breakfast (due to the Corona virus) we could at least been provided a coupon for Burger King – which was just across the street. The elevator needed to be restarted one day and there was no security to speak of – no one manned the front desk at night, and we found one of the back doors propped open.

The hotel is a bit older but nice. Staff was friendly. Windows in room could be cleaned. Restaurants are close . Or lots of delivery options. Downside is that parking is in the rear and a few under the building. Worker parked on front so to checkin had to park in the back then walk around the building to get in.

We chose the Best Western Des Plaines Inn Ohare because reviews were good, and it was the best choice of the selections for Park-Sleep-Fly for the dates and length of stay that we needed. The hospitality and comfort of this hotel were excellent, and the shuttle to and from the hotel to the airport was efficient. Our room was comfortable and clean. It compares well to other hotels in this class; it's not a resort but a pleasant stay before or after an ORD flight.

They put exsesive amount of cleaner in there pool that got my son sick was even taken to er , and there Pool is not even clean. They said I would get a call and haven't received one .ive never experienced this before at any hotel

We stayed here 1 night and used their park/sleep/fly option while on a longer vacation. Check in and out went smooth. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Its a small hotel and not sure what is in the area, but seemed nice enough. There was a pool but we didn't use it. We had to catch the shuttle at 4:30am and the front desk was nice enough to turn the juice machine on and packed us yogurts, fruit, and granola bars if we wanted them. Shuttles were quick and actually the best experience we've had with park sleep fly coming home. We called and usually the person says they'll be at the airport in 10min. Then its usually more like 45min-1hour. They were actually there in 10min! We'll stay here again for the park/sleep/fly option.

I stayed here as a treat for my birthday weekend and the rooms are great and comfortable. People at the front desk don't seem to be interested in customer service or bring knowledgeable about hotel policies.

I had amazing experience by staying at this location. The rooms were really clean, really comfortable beds, clean bathrooms and over all room is great. The staff is truly amazing, helpful, and kind. I really recommend to stay here. I truly enjoy it.

I love the location because it is where the industrial area is which means you have a lot of restaurants and you are literally in the middle of the border on desplaines. Many different people of all races and Gender. It's almost like little neighborhood. the parking lot is a little cramped but I see they are working on the place.

broken fridge, tilted when opened. lamp shades, cracked and some missing. needs updating & better cleaning in rooms. rented a room with jacuzzi, not cleaned enough, with dirt/flint around outtake. patches in wall noticible. great breakfast selection, and comfortable bed.

I like staying at this hotel because it is quieter that around hotels around the airport and you can still see every thing in the area. to me it is just the right place to stay. I can go downtown on the train, go to the shopping mall in Rosemontand there are so top quality restruarnts in that area

You can hear nearly everything happening in every adjacent room. Good thing my kids are not that sensitive to noise. (I don't want to interfere with the ‘adventures' of other people's lives.) I barely went to sleep in 3 am when everyone else was asleep. This place is worse than red roof inn, and does not meet best western quality at all. Service was good, but the facility was not.

Hotel is ok. Basic but clean. Noisy with trains and this weekend noisy people. Breakfast food is ok but cold eggs are not nice. Clean but could do with some decor updates. Housekeeping do a good job. Close to airport.

When we walked into this hotel it smelled very clean. Check-in person was very friendly. Our rooms were all very nice and clean. You could tell hotel was older, but everything was very nice. Only complaint is walls were not very thick and you could hear the people above you moving around and people talking while walking down the hallway. I was woken up several times each night we stayed. Beds were nice and comfy. Nice soft pillows. Like that the sink is outside of the bathroom/shower so that two people can get ready faster. Breakfast was typical: eggs, meat, cold cereal, yogurt, waffles and pancakes, fresh fruit, coffee and juice. I would go back here if traveling in the area.

Got there early so I could relax they were kind enough to let me check in early which was great. Nice room spacious king size bed which was nice to enjoy the bathroom on the other hand a little on the small side. Breakfast didn't have time to enjoy unfortunately but I know from experience it's good. They have a large pool for the size of the hotel and fitness room.

I stayed for two days for my business trip. The front desk lady was very nice and helpful, and the room was very clean. I would recommend this hotel to my other co-workers for their next business trip.

We needed a place to leave the car while traveling and have stayed here before. So I called a month before to ask how many days of parking were included in the Sleep and Fly as the web site said it was up to each hotel. I was assured that it included 14 days of parking. So I made the reservation on line but when we arrived the desk clerk claimed that it only covered a week and we had to pay $50 extra for the extra days. Then when I argued that I had called and talked to another clerk, she changed her tune and said that Sleep and Fly just meant that you got a ride to the airport. She called a manager who said we could pay $30 extra.She said I should have booked by phone if I wanted that 14 day deal. I was very upset but it was too late to got find somewhere else.After we got to the room, she called and said they would honor the original deal. I checked their web site later and the definition of their Sleep and Fly says "lodging and free car storage" for days as set by each hotel.So beware if you want the Sleep and Fly. They will try to rip you off!

I stayed at the Best Western in Des Plaines when I had an overnight layover at O'Hare. It met and exceeded expectations of an airport hotel in every way. The shuttle fetched me immediately after I rang them. The agent at check-in was prompt, friendly, and gave me a bottle of water. The room was warm on a cold night, with a very comfy bed. The location is quiet at night, but there are a couple cozy pubs within walking distance. The shuttle was warm and ready to go at the time requested the following morning and check-out was a breeze. Seriously, the prompt shuttle is not easy to find around O'Hare, and many much fancier, expensive hotels fail at it. This will be my go-to property for future layovers.

Located close to O'Hare, free shuttle, near public transportation, ( YOU CAN UBER TOTHE ROSEMONT CTA STATION FOR DOWNTOWN CHICAGO OR TAKE BUS 250 TO THE METRA TRAIN AND THEN TRANSFER AT OHARE FOR THE CTA TRAIN FOR DOWNTOWN CHICAGO) pool, fitness room, restaurants , shops , there's a shopping center a few blocks down and a Target and Kmart as well and an Aldi supermarket and the area is walkable, “ I mean actual sidewalks,I'm from NY. Breakfast was great! Hot Food!! Waffles !! Eggs!! OJ! are kidding me I was in heaven. The room was clean, the bed and pillows were firm, microwave and fridge, excellent!! but the piece de resistance was the !!HOT TUB!! located adjacent to the bed!! !!Cloud Nine people, Cloud Nine!!

Booked a king bed with jacuzzi for a weekend with my fiance. The room is decent size and the jacuzzi worked very nicely. Room needs more outlets because I was plugging things in to charge by the sink, which is not a good place to be charging a tablet or phone. There was only one outlet on the desk, used for my laptop. Also, the lamp in the corner by the heater was not even plugged in and there was no outlet anywhere near it. Tub/shower combo drains VERY slowly, so you are standing in soapy/grimy water when you get out of the shower (picture attached). Shower curtain is tattered/torn and needs to be replaced (picture attached). Bed was not very comfortable and both of us kept waking up throughout the night. Coffeemaker did not look very clean and appeared to have deposits or mold in the water fill area, so I did not use it for that reason. Door seems to not block sound very well because we could hear anyone walking in the hallway and every single door closing from nearby rooms. Within an hour of checking in and being in our room, we got a knock on the door from a staff asking if we were smoking in the room because the alarm was going off. We informed the staff that we did not smoke in the room and that we did not hear or see any indication of an alarm. We then got a call from the front desk staff asking if we were smoking in the room and requesting to enter our room to reset the smoke detector. Turns out that the smoke detector was actually missing, so it was unknown if it was going off because it was missing. So, if there was a fire, we would not get an alarm, so there is an issue with safety. Did not have too much of the breakfast Saturday, but the selection was decent. Overall, I would probably not stay here again, but it really isn't a bad place.

Not bad but you can get less expensive rooms at other hotels, evan at other Best Westerns. The rooms seem to need more outlets since not all the lights were plugged in, and some stuff was already plugged in tot he bases of the lights with extra outlets. Not sure if they updated furnishings and did not update electrical services or... Did not try the breakfast.

Not bad, great location for grabbing a flight out of o'hare, just remember the free shuttle isnt handicap accessible. The free breakfast isnt bad, my major gripe is customer service needs much improvement, some people there have a real attitude problem.

Diana at the front desk was a huge help. Very rare to find at motel. Made sure we are to get airport shuttle early and breakfast items since I had to leave before breakfast open at 6. Rooms were clean and nice shower dispensers

The room smelled like Mildew and the room was not very clean. I started to ask other hotel visitors and they also expressed their rooms also smelled like mildew, mold, Old cigarette smoke... The front desk is very nice :) When I asked the front desk they sent a cleaning lady to my room to spray a perfumed/scented spray... YIKES. many people, me included are allergic to scented sprays and cleaners. So this was not going to work. plus this only masks what the real mold problem is...... I just left my window wide open 24/7 for the 4 day stay.... It helped a little but you could still smell the mildew. I asked the 4 other patrons and they also said they just had to leave there windows open. The coffee pot was broke and there was an old tea bag in the slide drawer... Also the elevator wasn't working one morning. :)LOL

This was a really great experience. I enjoyed very much the ease of check in. Parking was vey convenient and extremely clean. The staff if friendly and curtious. The room was so clean, plenty of towels which I love, there's nothing worse than needing towels cause there's 2 in a room so I was pleasantly surprised and thankful. Wifi service was great, not slow or gave any issues. The channel options in the room were great. Thus was all around a great experience.

everything worked as planed and expected. we called the hotel's shuttle from the terminal and he came after 7 minutes, exuctly the driving time to the hotel. we ordered the shuttle back to the airport at 5:30 am and again it was just in time. the receptionist also arranged for us an instant breakfast however the early time.

Nice and convinient!!! Absolutely great service and a great location. Only 0 minutes from the airport and free shuttles wow! This is by far the best desl in town with the best amenities. Freshly renovated pool and parking for extended time frames is very helpful. Thanks

Elevator broke down. Had to carry luggage up two flights. Shower water pressure low. Took twice as long to shower. Not comfortable stay. Hallways and room with musty dried pee odor. Really old run down place with poor management.

The hotel was very clean. Staff are very polite. Disappointed with the only access to the pool being ladders and no hot tub. Parking with a larger vehicle was a little inconvenient because of the drive, although there is parking in the rear.

Clean, extremely pleasant staff. Rooms were clean and beds very comfortable. Everyone I encountered front desk, cleaning staff all were nice and happy. I would highly recommend and I will make sure I stay there when I return.

This hotel charged a no-show fee of $125.67 to our credit card even though we were there to stay in the rooms we had reserved. We have been disputing this charge since it showed up on our credit card statement. The general manager, whose name I believe is Selma, said there is nothing she can do about it and that we should have contacted them the day we saw the charge. (We did contact the hotel as soon as we noticed the charge and also filed a claim with Best Western. The general manager claimed that no one ever gave her the message.) Our credit card company tried to dispute the charge with this hotel but was also told there is nothing that can be done. The general manager refused a three-way conversation with the credit card company and me. My husband has talked to the general manager a few times and she hung up on him on two occasions. It is unacceptable to tell customers that there is no way to resolve a mistaken no-show charge.

Contrary to what other reviewers have said, our experience with the hotel's shuttle to O'Hare was poor. When I called for pick up, they told me the shuttle was "out of service." I was told they would reimburse me for an uber or taxi, but they only covered $20, and no tip. Leaving next day on the newly active shuttle, we found that it was just a taxi minivan operated by Horizon taxi company. Why was this not available when we came in? Why does this hotel, which boasts of its convenient shuttle to the airport, not have its own shuttle? This is extremely unprofessional. As for the supposed cleanliness of the hotel, the corridor walls were scarred (by?) and the elevator floors were very dirty; they had not even been swept, so debris was visible in the corners. That made me suspect the room's cleanliness, too, in particular the brown nubbly fabric of the chair and couch. At first I thought the sink had hair still in it from a previous guest, but it turned out to be a series of hairline cracks. Overall, the room did not inspire confidence in its cleanliness. By the way, if you are interested in using the 'fitness' center, it is about half the size of a room, and it has only three machines--two treadmills and a step machine, I think. No weights or space for anything else. Quite a joke!

The BW DesPlaines fulfilled our needs 100%. We did not want to get a car and our "home base" needed to be in DesPlaines. They have an airport hotel shuttle which was quick to pick us up. It's right on the PACE bus line which can take you to the Metra Train station into Chicago or up to Skokie/Dempster L station. The staff was very helpful and accommodated any requests we had quickly. Breakfast is included and it is your standard hotel breakfast with waffles, eggs, yogurt, pastries and cereal. There is an indoor pool which we did not use but it was clean and other guests did appear to be enjoying it. The property it's fancy but it is clean, friendly and for us a great location and I highly recommend it.

Stayed here while in for the Chicago Bears 100th anniversary. Great location to get to conference center quick, but far enough away to avoid the crowd and traffic of convention center. Great free parking, pool was enjoyable, included free breakfast was nice, room big and clean. Front desk staff was amazing.

Excellent accommodation. The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff are very courteous, friendly, helpful, kind and pleasant. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

i needed a short stay before an early departure at O'Hare. this hotel bent over backwards to make my stay and accommodations as comfortable as they could. i will stay here again the next time i'm in Chicago.

I stood here for a day while my flight got delayed and this is a place I would recommend to stay. Rooms were clean and I was able to get some work done with a reliable wi-if connection. Staff was very attentive and friendly.

This is the third time we have used this hotel on a Park-Sleep-Fly Package over five years. After reading some of the gripes on previous reviews I was expecting that this Best Western had gone downhill. My first two stays had been pleasant, clean room, friendly staff, nice breakfast, and on demand shuttle to O'Hare. I have to say that this stay was even better than the first two. When we checked in, our desk clerk (Alex?) was friendly, courteous, and thoughtful. We knew we would be giving him a key to our vehicle (when we returned it was in perfect condition and hadn't moved). We found our room to be updated (as well as the hotel itself), clean, and comfortable. Our breakfast the next morning was just as we expected and the area itself was also very clean. Our shuttle was on time and when we returned, the clerk ordered us a cab that was at O'Hare in 5 minutes as the shuttle had been delayed. This Best Western has made our transition to and from O'Hare a breeze and the modern updates that they have given the property as well as the friendly, efficient staff make this a tremendous value. If you are expecting the Ritz Carlton then perhaps you would be disappointed. If you are expecting a modest, clean, well-run, updated, and friendly hotel, then I would recommend a stay at Best Western Des Plaines.

We picked this hotel for it's proximity to Schaumburg and it's price. The employees at the hotel are very great. Attentive to needs and detail, they really are the stars of the hotel. The room itself was in good shape when we checked in. The hotel is a bit dated though and could use a detailed sprucing up. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast adored a 9 out of 10 for me. The pool itself is ok, but entertains the children, which is indeed the biggest concern.

The staff were unbelievably friendly. We were offered a bottle of water upon check in and even though our flight left before breakfast began, the staff offered us water, coffee, muffins, and fruit. It's not a luxurious hotel - that is not it's purpose!! But, if you're looking for a clean, safe place to stay if traveling from O'Hare, this is the place! Hotel shuttle was one time and convenient, hotel was CLEAN as a whistle, we were able to access our car if we needed it (not shuttled off to a far away lot).

I am going to start by saying that there was a blood spot by the toilet in my room. Also cleaning lady was cleaning a room next to mine at midnight. Made some noise, nothing terrible but unusual to see maids at night working. The check in was OK, the gentleman who checked me in made eye contact but did no ask me if I needed help. I had to basically tell him everything and ask about amenities and all. It would have been nice of him to be proactive, a simple "are you here to check in?" would have been nice. He was nice but exaggerated the breakfast items while describing the next morning breakfast. He told me there would be lots of food of different types including fresh "pico de gallo" but the next morning when I asked the waitress told me they never had it. The food was actually good and there were lot of options, bread felt a little dry thought. The parking in the back of the hotel is super small, many SUV and pick up trucks could not even back up. They gave us a room on top floor as requested but the hotel was not busy at all and that room was facing the main street (lots of police sirens throughout my stay). Why giving a room like that when I specifically requested a quiet room and many other rooms were available? Also, the gentleman at check out (Alfredo, and poor thing he is new) gave me grief about a gift card I needed to use. He did not know how and made little attempt to help. He tried to tell me to use the card another visit! But as soon as I told him I work in the industry he started making phone calls and be proactive. He told me he would talk to a manager and later send me the receipt via email. NEVER HAPPENED! I called back at night and the lady at the front desk told me she never got the message nor the card but eventually the problem was solved. I work in the hotel industry as manager and I can tell the people working here have poor customer service and are not properly trained. If a client is disappointed or mad the best thing to do is having proper manners and words of understanding not shrugging off the situation.

After a long job interview season, I've stayed at my fair share of budget hotels with mixed results. From the outside and interior hallways, this hotel looks older and dare I say a bit run down, so I had managed expectations for my stay. The room far exceeded my expectations - it was clean, comfortable and modern, save for the bathroom which was equally clean, just a little older looking. The bed and linens were clean and very comfortable. Being so close to O'Hare, I expected to hear people coming and going throughout the night but slept soundly till morning with no sound issues. After a prompt wake up call, I enjoyed a nice, free hot breakfast with eggs, tortillas, sausage and an assortment of continental options. Both managers I encountered were friendly and helpful, and though I did not partake, there is a pretty solid pool for such a small hotel. This isn't a 5-star hotel as far as aesthetics goes, but I give it 5 stars for its class - a clean, friendly budget hotel perfect for an evening layover or quick business trip.

We stayed at this hotel offered through the Park, Sleep and Fly Hotels program. This was the first time using this program and we couldn't have been more pleased. Pulling into the hotel parking lot, I had some hesitation. However, once inside, we were pleasantly surprised. The front desk clerk, I believe her name was Andrea, was professional and efficient getting us checked in. The hotel is definitely showing some wear and tear, however, our room looked as if it was recently renovated. It was spotless with a decent bathroom and comfortable beds. Andrea offered suggestions for dinner and were back to the room for sleep. May I point out we never heard a plane! Alan greeted us in the morning (4:15 am). He too, was great. He even had a grab and go breakfast ready for us to take to the airport, since the breakfast area was not yet open (breakfast area recently renovated & looked quite nice). We were happy with our am driver, who went out of her way to show us where pick up would occur on our arrival back. Arrival back went without issues; we went where the hotel directed us for pickup, called their number and our driver arrived within 15 minutes. We were driven back to the hotel, picked up our car from the lot and away we went. All this at a price we would have paid for parking alone at O'Hare! Could not have been happier with their services!

If I could have given this rating a zero I would have. The guest service agent Alfredo was terrible. The room was not cleaned thoroughly. I checked in and checked out literally checked right back out. I spent an entire hour on the phone with best western for the agent Chris to not want to transfer me to a supervisor stating that he would be the only one to help me. The stains on the carpet are disgusting and the customer service is terrible. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone if you want to stay near O'Hare. Avoid this location!

We stayed here before for the park, stay, and fly program. When we arrived, the van was broken down , so they sent us to O'hare in a cab. That was fine, but no one told us that the airport has a new system for hotel pick ups. We had to make 3 calls to be picked up. Our luggage was very heavy, especially after getting in at midnight! The lady driving the van back to the hotel needs to surrender her drivers license. No one offered to help with the luggage at the hotel. I am looking for alternatives for our next trip!

Stayed there to pickup someone early at O'hare. Getting to O'hare was quick and easy. For a lower priced hotel it was very good, no problems. It even had sheltered parking though very limited. Breakfast had scrambled eggs plus much more.

Not be surprised by the simple outlook of this hotel close to ORD. The service is very good and the staffs are warm in the cold Chicago winter time. We arrived around 9pm and called the hotel service number for the shuttle service. The gentleman picked up my phone and provided immediate help. The driver is nice and professional. It was a great experience staying in this hotel and we will definitely come back.

Stayed here while visiting a friend in Des Plaines. Hotel is dated, but clean, and bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. About what we'd expected, and very close to a lot of stores and about a mile from the Metra. Would stay again for the price!

We were spending Thanksgiving with my family in Des Plaines. My mom went to the hotel on the 20th to rent a room for us to stay in when we arrived on Thursday the 22nd. The original plan was to stay Thursday night-Saturday night the 22, 23, and 24th. The winter storm that came thru that weekend cut our trip short as we checked out on Saturday morning, having only spent 2 days at the hotel. The clerk that originally helped my mom incorrectly checked us in on Tuesday instead of setting up a reservation for Thursday. The hotel has charged my mother for 2 days of lodging for an empty room that no one stayed in. My mom stopped there in person to correct the issue, and was told by a clerk, that I would have to call in to clear up the matter. I called in on December 12th, and spoke to John. He couldn't help me. He suggested calling in the AM and talking to Alan or Selma. I called the hotel and it rang about 20 times with no answer, so I called back. Selma picked up after 6 rings or so, and I explained who I am and why I am calling. Selma indicated since my mom signed a card on Tuesday, that they are charging her for 2 extra days for a room that no one was using. I explained that we were still at home in Iowa during those 2 days and the room was empty they should not be charging for the nights in question. She refused, and said this is my verdict and I won't and can't give you a refund for the room. I asked to speak the supervisor/manager, and she said she was the highest person I could speak with regarding this matter. I asked for the name and number of the owner, and was told that the owner is not involved with matters pertaining to the hotel, she is the one in charge of everything. Additionally, the condition of the hotel seemed like the building was or had recently been under some work, as construction materials were laying about in hallways and signage indicating where rooms are were laying on the floor or held up with scotch tape. Last but not least, the pool was broken again as it was the last time we stayed here. If given the chance to stay somewhere in Des Plaines or the O'Hare area, please choose somewhere else.

We had no power at our home for 54 hours after a blizzard. One of those nights we stayed here. The room was clean. The water pressure was good in the bathroom. The breakfast was well stocked. Free wifi. Comfortable bed. We had a room that had a connecting door to the person next to us. At 3am he got a phone call and talked for a while. Maybe some weather stripping on the connecting door would be a good idea to avoid waking up people in this situation.

We have used this hotel a few times when taking overseas trips. It is close enough to the airport to have reasonable shuttle service yet far enough to get away from the noise and traffic. The rooms are nice and they have a good breakfast. Its exactly what we need for a park and fly hotel.

Hotel was not one of the better best westerns but our shuttle driver was awesome. We left for airport at 3 am and she ran in hotel and grabbes us water, muffins and fruit since she knew we had a long flight. When we came back to o'hare they sent a taxi to get us since was going to take longer for shuttle

We saw a show at AllState Arena and this was one of the closer hotels for a good price. We didn't need much, just a place to sleep and store our stuff. This hotel served that purpose well. Less than 10 minute Lyft drive to the venue. Breakfast is filling in the morning. They also have a gym and swimming pool, but we did not have time to enjoy those so perhaps another time if we come back to this area.

Had a nice experience. Location is good for access to public transportation. The hotel was being painted and having work done during my stay but not intrusive. Overall a nice place and will stay again.

We needed a hotel exactly there and this was the only choice, so I booked without big expectations. The hotel came much better than that. Clean and maintained room, nice and quiet staff. We were there little before the check in time but the guy let us in with no problem. The breakfast was the best for this class. Picky person will find something to complain about, for us it was just fine.

Well, to start with, you don't seem to get much for $118 anymore. A very basic room. I am a diamond member and an upgrade is supposed to be automatic. I guess I'd not like to see the un-upgraded room. When I arrived, there was no one at the front desk. I waited about 10 minutes and then started phoning the front desk from the front desk. Still no one. Finally I began pounding on a “employees only “ door. That got a response and he eventually rounded up the desk clerk. There seems to be a lot of strange noises coming from the surroundings. Groans, creaks, buzzing, etc. I guess I'll see how the night progresses.

This friendly hotel is at walking distance to the metro train from Chicago and offers 24 hrs. shuttle service to O'Hare on top of parking space. Highlights are a covered swimming pool, spacious rooms equipped with refrigerator and microwave oven, not to mention the ongoing and almost complete renovation of the premises. Reserving well in advance higly recommended due to high occupancy year round.

Probably the best hotel in this price range that I have ever visited. Room was clean, good amenities in room, hotel quiet, staff incredible, breakfast ample, food and shopping within one block, indoor pool twice the length of a normal hotel pool, free shuttle to and from the airport.

After arriving to see that carpets throughout were stained and smelled, I found ants in my room including the bed and counter top. There were hairs on the shower walls and on the curtain (which also did not look clean), and to top it off, I was woken up at 4:30AM by a false fire alarm. The hotel manager did not handle the situation well.

We booked our room on the BEST WESTERN WEBSITE well in advance. Upon arrival we were told our reservation was cancelled and we'd have to pay a higher rate. She said since we'd booked through a third party website (again, their own company's website?) we would have to call BW customer service ourselves to sort out the problem. After waiting on hold, BW customer service couldn't understand why our room was cancelled. They called the hotel directly to confirm our rate. However, the desk agent demanded they fax proof. We then had to stand there while she waited for the fax to arrive. She told us she couldn't check us in until she received it. It took almost an hour to check into the hotel. We were polite and said we understood that she didn't cause the problem. However, she did absolutely nothing to help us either. It was a stressful experience. We were tired and had an extremely early flight the next morning. It was fortunate that they had an extra room and we didn't have to scramble at the last minute to find another hotel with park-and-fly. The room itself was adequate. However, we had more stress and an extended wait again the next morning. We'd reserved the shuttle ahead of time, but had to wait 30 minutes for two other groups who'd booked the shuttle at a later time. We understand the hotel wants to be efficient, but wish they'd have given us a later time or split the difference and asked the other group to show up 15 minutes earlier. As it turned out, one of the groups was late so we had to wait 45 minutes. The shuttle was a run-down minivan. There wasn't room for all the suitcases in the back and with all the people and luggage, we were packed in like sardines. When we called the shuttle upon our return to Chicago, we were told that they'd just been to the airport to pick someone up 15 minutes earlier and we were the only 2 waiting for the shuttle. We've not stayed in a BW for many years and it will be many more years until we stay at one again. I'd give them a ZERO out of 5 stars for customer service if I could.

Stayed here for one night after arriving at O'Hare in the evening before starting Route 66 the next day. The 'Airport Shuttle' they advertised was a taxi that I had to call from the airport after getting the number off the hotel - took a while to arrive too. The shuttle back, in the morning was a minibus and was fine. The staff were pleasant enough and the room ok with a comfortable bed. Lots of coming and going on the corridors, through the night so quite noisy. Overall decor was rather worn and needed an update. Breakfast was okay with waffle maker and usual juices, yoghurts and pastries. Area not great outside. The hotel did the job we needed but wouldn't go back there unless modernised. Two and a half stars really.

I booked 1 room through Hotels.com. My credit card bill showed charges for 2 rooms. When I called the hotel, they said that Hotels.com reserved 2 rooms (for the same night) and that I was a "no show" for the 2nd room. How could I be a no show? I was there - the desk attendant should have said "You have 2 reservations for tonight. Do you want to check in to your 2nd reservation as well?" Then I could have said, "Oh, I shouldn't have 2 reservations; that's a mistake by Hotels.com. Please cancel the 2nd reservation." Instead, the hotel said nothing at check-in, then they later refused to refund the charge, claimed that it was the fault of Hotels.com, and refused to do anything else to resolve the situation.

Pros: Availability when other O'Hare properties are booked, free shuttle to/from O'Hare. Decent bed. Friendly service. Cons: Worn, dated and not as clean as it could be. Shuttle is beat up and grungy.

My kids and I stayed here before our flight to Cancun. Room was clean, and staff was polite. The price was right, and would return in the future. It was our second stay here. Shuttle was prompt leaving, upon pick up the wait was a little long.. but that's to be expected in Chicago. We had McDonald's while we waited, so all worked out ok!

Breakfast was good, except for old, dried out tangerines. Our room was very cold when we checked in, heat was off. Very expensive staying two nights! $103. per nite. We had to wait almost an hour for a shuttle from airport/amtrak back to the hotel from downtown chicago

I saw all the great reviews and thought Id like to stay at a smaller place then the big high rises we usually stay at..I like smaller business to deal with. We check in and after we are all said in done the clerk says I now need your keys!!Excuse me what ???Yes she wanted me to leave my keys while we are out of the country in case she needs to move my car!!What a joke Ive never heard of this and dont ever plan on leaving my keys to anyone.!I told her I was going to cancel and she said fine...then she couldnt cancel it due to timeline and I told her Id call corporate and let them know whats going on here..She finally changed her bad attuite and let us keep our keys but we had to sign a waver...wow..rooms were fine we were just alittle upset over the problem...The shuttle driver was the housekeeper the van was wrecked and dirty but got us there on time which was the most important.On our return home we called for a ride took quite awhile and finally they called us a cab...rude driver who was tired...and I found a huge door ding from parking lot..wish this would have worked out I was excited to be away from the rat race of the airport..

This was a nice hotel for an overnight stay. We really appreciated the fact that we could leave our car there at no extra charge while we flew out on vacation. They also took us to the airport and picked us up when we got back.

We stayed just overnight before a trip out of O'Hare. Room was mediocre and shuttle to the airport was a very dirty minivan. Shuttle was included in the stay and parking was free not when you are staying there. Misleading from what we were told on the phone. Only plus was friendly front desk staff.

Great place to stay. Clean rooms, great breakfast, fast internet. The location is slightly awkward to enter from different directions, but the amenities themselves are excellent. I would gladly stay here again if needed.

This is a very nice hotel.The breakfast quesadillas are awesome.They make scrambled eggs with chicken patties which taste amazing.I will definitely be back soon in the area and will always use this facility.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Our ride to the airport was a hassle. We scheduled it for 9 people. Told we would have to do it in 2 groups and have one leave 1/2 hour earlier. In the morning they did not have transportation for us. They ended up calling a cab and we went at about the same time. Coming back we were told to call when we landed. It took 1 1/2 hours to get 6 of us back. 3 of us paid for our own taxi or we would have wasted another 1/2 hour. We needed to travel 3 more hours that night. They sent 1 taxi to make 3 round trips. Would not use them again

Check your security tapes for floors 2/3, and then ask your housekeeping department what they're thinking slamming a vacuum cleaner against peoples doors while doing the hallway at 623am. I guess we should be thankful that you're attempting to be proactive about things- but the staff wasn't overly friendly either. Read a bunch of other reviews about this property and that seems to be the common denominator here.... You won't be getting my business again, at this point.

We stayed here for an extended (2 week+) Park and Fly. Dropped the car off, took the airport shuttle, and stayed overnight on the return trip. It fit the bill very well for us. No complaints on the room, big enough, clean enough, nice enough. The breakfast was excellent! Overall, the service was very good and staff accommodating. Pool is a bit dated, but worked just fine for me (no zero depth for the kids, FYI.) Only real complaint was that they didn't have any way of jump starting my dead batter;, as I told them, a $50 jump box from Harbor Freight is a must for any Park and Fly!. Otherwise, was well-satisfied and would use them again when flying out of O'Hare.

The staff were professional, the room was neat and clean, there was a slight cold draft under the door which made the tiles cold, breakfast was good but it had the feeling that it needed a update to the decor. Good place to stay

I have stayed at Best Western Hotels all over the world and I can honestly say that this is the worst that I have experienced. The check-in was fine but it went downhill from there. The back door was unsecured and once we had a key, we had to have it reset twice. The Coke machine dispensed warm soda, the pool was out of order, and the parking lot showed signs of people's cars being broken into. When I was resetting the card for the second time, the attitude I got from the front desk was unacceptable. I don't know if everyone was in a poor mood and the hotel was in bad shape because of the winter season or not. What I know is that, as a loyal Best Western customer, I will stay somewhere else when I am in Des Plaines again. That's not good for Best Western.

Every time I visit Chicago I will stay at this hotel. To me feels like home. I feel welcome, I feel safe. I could go out for a walk and talk to people like I knew them...very friendly. Staff at the hotel always ask me how was my wall and if I have any questions or concerns that they could help me out with.

If you like to check in late at night and find black hairs all over your freshly placed wash clothes and towels, be their guest! And make sure you like buentry food for breakfast... Besides the cleanliness and hot food, after speaking with them over 5 times, they still wouldn't get my bill correct.

I am from Texas and was on business to Des Plaines, IL. I stayed at this hotel because of location. Big Mistake. The hotel was dirty, room dated, bedding dingy, staff unresponsive and the towels were the worst I have ever seen. I understand this is not a high end hotel, but I have stayed at nice BW.. If in the area, find somewhere else to stay..

Room Size - Stayed in a standard double bed room. Decently big and spacious. . Room Amenities - All basic amenities are available in the room including TV, Fridgle, Iron, Bath tub, Free WiFi, Heating control, etc. . Hotel Amenities - Heated pool, dedicated parking, basic breakfast (scrambled eggs, bacon, bread, waffles, juices, cornflakes, etc.). They let us check in early in the morning for a fees of 25$ which was good. . Staff Behaviour - Very professional and courteous behaviour. Exception was one of their new reception staff, for whom, the senior staff apologised later. . Location - Located in the peaceful suburd of Des Plaines. It is 15 mins from Airport. Has a lot of eating options nearby. However, connectivity to the downtown is an issue. One need to take a bus and then change a couple of trains which can take anywhere between a hour & a half to 2 hours to reach downtown.

We needed to call to be picked up as the shuttle is on demand. The hotel is exactly 15 minutes from Ohare. This was perfect for us, especially because we arrived at 11:53pm. The driver was kind, friendly and very helpful. We were hungry and on our way to the hotel knowing most places would be closing, she offered to stop so we could get something! What a truly nice offer. Upon arriving we were met with a smile and an uncomplicated check in. Downstairs lobby seemed basic but neat. The hotel smelled good. Our room was very clean, smelled fresh too. The bed was comfortable and firm. Room was spacious too! Some noises could be heard but nothing loud or disturbing. In the morning at 6am, a shuttle was arranged and prompt. The breakfast bar was opened for something quick...pretty good selection too! Coffee was awesome! Again we were back at Ohare in 15 min. Excellent service. Excellent overnight stay!

Desk clerk and manager were very helpful, friendly, and professional. Shuttle to/from O'Hare was reliable and efficient. Breakfast selections were very good. We booked through a park/sleep/fly website, parking 7 days and staying the night when we returned. This made for a very comfortable beginning and ending of the trip.

Great value, huge indoor pool, complimentary breakfast, and the room was lovely! The staff was fantastic - professional and friendly - and they went out of their way to help me! You just can't beat this place!

I stayed at this hotel on October 26, 2017 and was pleased at the customer service I received! My flight was delayed out of Tel Aviv and so I missed my connection in Toronto and was late coming into Chicago at around 10 pm. I had stayed at Best Western before flying out so I called for pick up and was extremely impressed with the quick pick up and even more impressed with the reception I received by the front desk who had upgraded my room and made sure to take care of my every need! If you are flying out of Ohare airport consider this hotel!

We celebrated my daughters bday at this location.Very friendly and helpful staff.We had cake by the pool area which was nice and not crowded with people because it is a smaller property.There is many walking restaurants we chose a Cuban restaurant next door.Definitely good price and clean hotel.

I never write reviews but I felt compelled to do so on this occasion. My husband and I are in the process of building condos which require many trips back and forth to Chicago. I booked a room at this hotel around 1 PM. I got home at 3 PM and my husband informed me he had chest pains and we needed to cancel until later further notice. After getting my husband to the appropriate medical attention, I called the hotel to try to cancel and get a "refund".... They said they had a 24 hour policy and there were no exceptions. (I booked 2 hours earlier???) I called priceline, whom we booked through, and they tried to negotiate on our behalf, but were also told no. I will be calling priceline again to ask for a credit, but find this heartless display of humanity appalling and will never book with this hotel again and potentially not through priceline.... Not only did the "owner" hang up on me, he showed no compassion at all, and was more concerned about $100 than client satisfaction or my husband. Apparently it was "assumed" I was a lier? This was an emergency situation, not a "change" of plans..... AND let's face it. If the room was available at 1 PM there was no risk of "loss of income within 2 hours." Sick to my stomach.... all I can say......disgusted.... Guess, I now know why Best Westerns are NOT on my corporate travel list.

The Best Western in Des Plaines is not the most beautiful of structures, but it is very clean, very well maintained and has the most friendly and helpful staff I've encountered in years of hotel stays.

Staff friendly, somewhat older place, but clean Pool was excellent, great to be able to unwind in it. Breakfast was very good. Overall good value for your money. Place was quiet considering how close to the airport we were.

Our flight into Chicago was delayed for four hours, causing us to check in at 4 a.m. Exactly as advertised, the hotel sent a shuttle to the airport to pick us up at that ungodly hours. They granted us late checkout (noon). Not surprisingly, we slept right through the breakfast supplied by the hotel, but they told us of two restaurants within walking distance where we could get breakfast and even though we were checked out, not only allowed us to store our luggage there while we went to breakfast, but upon our return, had their shuttle take us to the car rental agency at the airport. They accommodated us so kindly every step of the way.

The BW Des Plaines is not fancy from the outside and the lobby and hallways are not very modern, but the rooms are very clean and neat and well maintained. Air conditioner was good; TV lots of channels. Bathroom clean, with basic amenities. Pool not open when we stayed, which was OK, cuz we didn't want to use. They provided helpful airport shuttle (although the vehicle used was somewhat battered and not too clean) with airport about 15 minutes away. While many reviewers have raved about the breakfast, we were actually somewhat disappointed as the morning we were there, they didn't provide any meat (sausage or bacon) with the breakfast. This was one of the reasons we selected the hotel and therefore a little bummed out when not offered. We learned that they vary their breakfast menu and don't provide meat everyday. :-( Staff very helpful. George was particularly helpful and friendly. Overall, a good place to stay though.

I love to go to this property to use the inside pool they have. It is quiet and not a lot of pool or crowd. The breakfast and the room has drastically improved because I have been coming here regularly two years now.

Me and my fiancé celebrated our anniversary here.We had the jacuzzi suite.The staff was very nice.The breakfast was very good they had scrambled eggs and bacon.I will definitely come back for another occasion.

We were happy with the breakfast, service at the front desk, clean room and bathroom was clean. A restaurant was next door from other meals. Plenty of food there. The only negative was hearing the phone conversation outside of the room before 6:30 a.m. The walls are not very thick.

Price of this place is very fair for the location, clean , quiet and good breakfast. They are also few food places walkable distance. The stuff is nice and helpful. There is enough parking and its free.

The hotel is in need of sprucing up the rooms, updating the decor, fixing little issues associated with each room (ceiling stains, door deadbolt not working, new carpet, better towels, etc.). It appears some of the necessary renovations are underway, however, more could be done faster.

Flight canceled. Needed hotel. Sketchy, unclean. Slept with chair against the door and took me forever to get to sleep because I was regretting my decision but couldn't go anywhere else. Stained sheets, cigarette ashes in sheets, old furnishings. Then their "airport shuttle" was a grimy, dirty mini van. One good thing - the staff were very nice.

The location of this hotel is great, just a few minutes from O'Hare airport. Located in mainly a residential area,you are walking distance to several restaurants and neighborhood shops. The room and the hotel were very clean. Free breakfast in the morning was better than some others I've experienced, good selection. Free parking behind hotel but is poorly lit and rather secluded. Although I personally felt safe it kind of gave me a "Criminal Minds" type feeling that a stalker could easily be undetected. I would think a lone woman might not feel comfortable parking back there if arriving after dark. Overall a good value for your dollar.

This hotel is in a nice location close to airport.I spend my honeymoon there.We enjoyed the Jacuzzi room.Super clean rooms and nice staff.I do plan on coming back because rivers casino is near by and it's a convenient hotel not too expensive.

I stayed here few times with my husband and daughter and they have made huge improvements.The breakfast is hot with many varieties,all the room furniture and carpets are brand new.Whenever we want to use the pool and have some family time we go there.We also used their Jacuzzi rooms before and they are so relaxing.

I booked this location due to its proximity to the air port, their extended parking allowance, and price. I was out of the country for 15 days and most places only allow 10 days of parking with the stay. This place allowed 14 and let me pay one extra night. When I arrived to leave my car their van driver was out sick but they hired and paid for a taxi for me. When I returned their van driver arrived within 15-20 minutes. It was a small white minivan so initially I overlooked him upon his arrival thinking he would be one of the larger shuttle buses, but he had my cell phone and called me and we were able to connect. I checked in and was told my room was being upgraded to a room with a jacuzzi tub, free of charge. What a wonderful surprise after flying for 10 hours. My room was huge and quite comfortable. I went out to my car that had been sitting for two weeks to see the battery needed to be jumped. Luckily I carry the cables so the hotel driver came back to lend me a hand which was fantastic. I tipped him but it saved me a bit of money in calling a professional. My bath and sleep was quite comfortable. In the morning I went down promptly at 6:30 to take advantage of the free breakfast which included waffles, strange eggs but good enough, cereals, yogurts, fruits, cakes, muffins, coffee, tea, milk, juices etc. I filled up and checked out so I could get my long drive home started early. I am happy to recommend anyone to stay here and will be back again.

Gina & I stayed at the beginning & end of our recent vacation on a park/sleep/fly deal. It's a nice enough motel, not deluxe but perfectly adequate for a night's sleep. It's in a quiet location & a decent neighborhood near O'Hare International Airport (ORD). The room was clean & well-stocked, with a comfortable king-size bed. Parking is limited, we lucked out & were able to park in one of the spaces underneath the building, affording some overhead cover. We didn't get the breakfast they offer as we had an early flight & had to leave for the airport before they started serving. There are microwaves & refrigerators in the rooms, we brought some breakfast sandwiches with us & put them in there. I recommend doing likewise if you have an early flight. We also missed the breakfast the day after we returned as we slept in later, but there is a family restaurant called the Silver Stallion a couple doors down that was pretty good, also a Burger King & a Chicago-style red hot place across the street. The shuttle service was prompt, getting us to the airport in plenty of time. On our return there were apparently some miscommunications delaying pick-up, but we did finally connect. Overall a reasonable value. I would park-sleep-fly here again.

This was the designated hotel for my former employer. It wasn't my favorite place to stay at, The hot breakfast items usually made me sick so I usually only ate cereal, the elevator seems to be messed up, No matter what room I stayed in I always heard traffic on Lee St, I never really had a positive experience with the staff, My employer would arrange a shuttle to take us to work and that never seemed to be on the same page. The front is always hard to get in & out in with such a limited turn around. I would not stay here if I ever come to town.

This BW may appear unpretentious on the outside - the parking lot is in the back and the hotel appears smaller from the front. The hotel itself was great - we stay at a lot of BW hotels and once again we were pleased with the overall quality of the hotel. The bed was comfy, the room was clean and well-appointed. The breakfast was typical for BW - some hot items, make-your-own waffle, and an assortment of usual breakfast items. There's plenty of choice to get the day started and not have to eat out for breakfast. Most of all the staff here is wonderful. Our room was nice and clean, bedding was fresh and comfortable, the concierge at the front was pleasant and professional. We'd definitely stay here again if we're in the area.

I chose the hotel after recommendation also because of the FREE Shuttle Bus for arrival & departure from Ohare Airport The Hotel staff were extremely helpful. The Italian Shuttle Bus driver was especially polite & helpful. I can't wait to stay again.

Parking could be a problem. Going to the airport was fine,but coming back to the hotel, the hotel might have you a call a taxi that they did pay for.The hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful. Would probably stay here again and use the park and stay option.

Good bed to sleep in. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. For the money it is well located for my purposes and met my needs. I was woken at 3:30AM by the trash man emptying the bin at the back of the hotel. Stay up front on Friday.

First we get there and tell us our room is still occupied by a lady that was at a class across the street and she wouldn't be back until after 6:00. They claimed that they couldn't just grab her stuff. So they told us when we got back from our concert that we could switch rooms. So we go to our concert and come back, the lady who had been working the front desk failed to tell the employee who took over for the night our situation. So my husband explained and the lady said well you can have the room, there shouldn't be anyone in there anymore. How do you not know? We were afraid we were going to barge in on someone sleeping because it was after midnight at this point. So we go up to the correct room we were supposed to have from the beginning. The hallway smelled like marijuana. The room from first glance it was nice and what we paid for. Nice and clean, however we woke up the next morning to shower and all of the shampoo and conditioner containers were empty. This hotel left us pretty disappointed. To get there and have the issues right off the bat like that was unbelievable. We even booked on the best western website directly and still had issues. We won't be returning!

I stayed 3 nights at this hotel. The room was nicely sized for the king bed. Had a nice desk, fridge & micro. Sheets & towels appeared clean, the rest needed a good thorough cleaning from the carpet to the walls all the way to the front desk. The back stairwell smelled like trash every day. There was a broken bottle at the entrance Sunday night, it was still there Tuesday night. I sat in the desk chair & leaned back almost tipping over in the broken chair. I fired up the iron, made it through 3 shirts before water started dumping all over my pants. I went to make a cup of coffee & the coffee pot didn't work. Luckily the front lounge had some. There was a pet black ant that visited me every night when I brushed my teeth. I left a note about the chair & iron and they replaced them, I left another note on my final morning for the coffee pot, so I imagine it was replaced. Overall it wasn't all that bad, just happened to get all the issues no one said anything about. Sleep well my TA friends:-)

This was a clean hotel, with mini fridge & microwave. The parking at this hotel was very tight though, very small parking lot. Hard to find parking. Shuttle was on time leaving, coming home we had to call a taxi. The hotel paid for it. It's a cheap place for Ohare travel.

We stayed one night using the stay and fly option. There wasn't a "true" parking space available and cars were parked anywhere that would fit a car. We along with others parked our car along a curb on the narrow driveway which led back to the parking lot that was full. We left our keys as instructed and were told they would move our car into a parking space when one became available. Not acceptable!!! If I pay to stay at your property then I should have a valid parking space.

Used this park and fly hotel for first night stay, a week of parking, and a last night stay for a vacation trip. Impressed with day and night desk clerks, very friendly and efficient. The hotel was busy when we checked in. Parking lot was full, but they have a satellite lot that can be used. You leave your keys and we were informed they will move your car, if necessary. We lucked out and a space was open when we returned from dinner so we didn't actually test that arrangement. Our room, 224, was spacious and clean. Shower had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in mounted containers. Had excellent internet wifi and television service. Room had an alarm clock and the hotel does wake up calls. We had an early flight and scheduled a shuttle for 5:30 am. Driver was on time. We were the only ones on the van. The hotel provides a "To Go" breakfast of fruit and muffins. Nice touch for early departures. Our return flight was late. It was about 1:00 am when we called for a pickup at the airport. The desk clerk gave me a number for a cab company, Community Cab. The cab company gave us ETA of 12 to 15 minutes. The van arrived in 14 minutes and we had a pleasant ride with an engaging driver. Hotel picked up the ride cost. We were checked in quickly and coincidently got the same room, 224. We had a late morning and ran into two disappointments. I found that the body wash container was empty, after I was in the shower (note to self: check status prior to stepping in the shower in the future). We got to the breakfast area about 0930, it closes at 1000. The eggs were rather dry, the potatoes that were left were inedible. But, there were other choices that worked and the coffee was good. This hotel is located in an area that has several good choices for dining. Overall, I believe this was a good value and would stay again, if the situation arises.

Like most people, when I have to catch a very early flight (or am returning from a late one), I'm often grouchy and just want everything to be easy and stress-free. The staff at the Best Western Des Plaines couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly, which really improved my whole travel experience from beginning to end. Though the lobby and halls could use an upgrade (they had sort of a lived-in look), the hotel room itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable. I was very impressed with all personnel, from the desk clerk to the housekeepers to the shuttle drivers, and I will most definitely stay here again.

Staff was very helpful.The room was cleaner and updated. The lobby was in need of a cleaning. We were using the place to park our car while we caught a flight to Cal. The let us grab a cup of coffee and something to eat before we left even though it was before breakfast time.

Unfortunately, everything was very good till check out. I was in a hurry to depart, but there was no one at the front desk. I rang the bell but after 2 minutes, no one showed up. I inquired with a service employee and he said he would get someone. After a minute or so, no one so I rang the bell again. Still no one. After about 5 minutes total, the front desk person showed up to check us out. Very, very unusual and frustrating.

My daughter and I had a weekend getaway for the first time and we were not familiar with Chicago. Jackson was very nice to meet at breakfast. He asked us what we would like the following morning for breakfast and the following morning there was sausage out at our request. He also helped us figure out how to use the Uber and Lyft car services including figuring out how to use the promo code for the discount. It really was a great trip. I would stay again!

I missed my connection in Chicago and the next plane wasn't until early morning the next day. It was late and I didn't want to sleep at the airport as I had just spent 15+ hours on the airplane from Shanghai to Chicago due to weather and delays. Best Western in Des Plaines was an ideal choice to overnight since they had a 24-hour shuttle that could take me back to the airport at 3:00 am. Kudos to such a great staff.

I was attending a dinner function nearby, and I didn't want to drive back home for the over an hour trip. I checked in quickly in the afternoon and went up to my room to change for the dinner. The room was clean, and had a medium sized refrigerator, coffee pot, free wi-fi and a great flat screened TV. After I returned after 11:30pm, I slept peacefully and woke up the next morning and made myself a cup of coffee. The room and hotel certainly did not disappoint. Now this is a hotel, with rooms inside, and an elevator. It has an exercise room and a pool. It's not a three star hotel, but it certainly met my needs for a place to sleep.

I come here for work regularly. The hotel staff is exceptionally helpful, friendly and extremely courteous. I wish all of the Best Western hotels were at this standard of customer service. This is by far one of the best hotels that i stay at and should be treated as model as to how a hotel should be operated. The front desk manager goes above and beyond the call of duty to take care of my and my coworkers needs.

I stay here quite often. The hotel staff is very nice and breakfast is great. nice little workout room, and very nice pool. The hotel is in a great location with plenty to eat that's within walking distance. They also offer a hotel shuttle to get to the airport at no cost to you. Breakfast is hot and up to standards.Selma always accommodates our group of guys.we always chose this hotel because it's close to everything.The pool is remodeled and they did lot of remodeling for rooms.

We stayed here for one night on an overnight layover. It was very clean and comfortable. The only minor complaints are that the eggs weren't that great at breakfast and there was not half & half for the coffee, and we also felt the instructions for where to find the shuttle at the airport were kind of confusing. But overall it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend staying here.

I was in town for a trade show, and having enough points for a free room, it seemed like a no brainer. The lobby is fairly OK. Nothing special. The breakfast area looks interesting, in a good way. I will not be sure until tomorrow morning. There are 3 floors with an elevator. There is also a long (50') pool that appears very clean, and of course I forgot my bathing suit. #$%%&@#. The room was fairly decent in size. Probably a little roomier than the average. From what I can tell, there are no real issues. Plenty of plug ins in the room which is important these days. Gotta plug in the two phones, pad, and disco ball. As far as noise, I won't be certain until the wee hours of the morning. At this moment, the mini fridge seems to making its share of racket. Also, there is a auto detailing (or something) across the alley with the occasional air compressor running. I figure that will stop pretty early. At least it is not by a freeway, but there is city traffic, which should also peter out with the passage of time. There is no need to worry about the pressure in the shower knocking you over. They have considered the safety aspects of the shower, and it safely comes out at a fast dribble, but not so fast as to cause injury. There are a number of eating establishments within just a couple of minute walk. One that I can recommend is the Silver Stallion, but there are others. The majority of which are taco oriented. I would probably have given this facility a rating of three and a half to three and three quarters, but that is not allowed, hence the three star.

My wife and I just stayed the one night at the Best Western Des Plaines Inn following traveling to Chicago. The rooms were adequate and the staff were very pleasant. The shuttle bus was out of service when we arrived but one phone call and the hotel booked us a taxi direct from the airport and paid the bill without problem. All in all a good stay with comfortable bed and a reasonable breakfast.

First things first, the free continental breakfast was great considering me and my friends are broke college kids on a breakaway road trip, and also considering Chicago isn't the cheapest of places. However, that's probably the only good to come out of it. To begin with, the check-in process was obnoxious as the hotel clerk didn't recgonize my reservation at first (I booked through hotwire). Show him the reciept and was able to give me a room, only after giving a fee for having 4 guests, which was already included in the hotwire payment. Then, charge me twice and so I had to come down and speak with him again and not only did he not accept my request for a refund, he belittled me for being a "kid". At that point I was 20, and my friend who was with me was 21 so perfectly able to make the reservation. After the next two days of talking to management, they assured me the second charge would be corrected in the upcoming business days. It never did. It wasn't until months later (maybe up to 4 months?) and repeated calls going nowhere. Every time I called the management staff would ignore my request and blamed me for my own problems. Enough of that though, the room was fine, clean, and in working condition. Especially for $40 a night split between 3 other people. Location was conveniently close to some good shopping centers and restaurants and also the metro station. Would not recommend soley based off of the customer service I had. Would recommend the room if you want a cheap place to stay outside of Chicago.

I picked this room because it was the lowest cost with an in room hot tub. It was near our goal in Chicago. Breakfast was good, the usual stuff. Some parking spaces were under roof and lighted which felt good due to truck with stuff in the back. Nice place, normal hotel otherwise.

Got a room at the last minute as my bus was being repaired overnight. Dest clerk was very good and gave a recommendation for a great place to eat within walking distance. It was only two doors down. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast includes fresh home made scrambled eggs. not the usual microwave stuff. I recommend this property when you are in the area.

Quite a change compared to the big hotels around the area. Nice pool, not expensive and free parking. Rooms are clean and staff very welcoming! I would stay here anytime. Lots of restruants in area also. Nothing to break the bank.

The first impression we got from this hotel was that it was very much outdated. Wrinkled curtains, dirty floor, elevator smelled like old greased motors. The floor seems as if has not been waxed in decades. When we checked in our room the carpet was completely damp and made our feet wet. We had to place all our belongings off the floor. Bed sheets were old however they were clean. The shower was very old and no complimentary soaps just a dispenser with soaps. If we had not been so exhausted from our drive from Minnesota or worse with our children we would've checked out immediately. Just glad we were only there to sleep a couple of hours. We didn't even eat the breakfast just in a hurry to check out and be on our way to the airport.

Terrible service. Staff is rude and on the take for over priced shuttle rides, etc. Noisy and dirty room. Very slow internet. I complained of noise that kept me up all night but they would not comp my room for that night. Did move me to the top floor and the noise was much less.

We stopped at this hotel without a reservation on our road trip. Michael checked us in. He was very pleasant and offered many suggestions for dinner. The hotel was very clean. There was a worker cleaning the floor in the evening. The room was large and inviting with a microwave and fridge. The pool was very clean. The breakfast area was quite large and very clean. They had the normal Best Western breakfast. The woman who handled the breakfast was very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed 1 night prior to going on vacation. our flight left very early the next morning, so the breakfast room attendant prepared us a "to go" bag with some danish, fruit and also we had some coffee. They shuttled us to the airport and we left our vehicle in their safe parking lot for 10 days, for FREE. Upon our return from our trip, they picked us up at the airport about midnight and we stayed at this hotel for an additional 2 nights for an event we were invited to in Chicago. The breakfasts were very good and hot. Coffee was a little weak, but we like ours dark. The pool is nice and there is also covered parking available on a first come basis. The room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. It is very quiet also.

The location is great, close to Chicago O'Hare, but also close to a nice shopping mall with Woodfield Mall, there's a Taco Bell around the corner, which clinched the deal for me. But also there is a Metra station close by to go downtown or a bus to Skokie that gets you to Wrigley Field. The hotel is clean, has breakfast, pool, gym, good house-keeping and the price is very good for the location. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

I chose this hotel because Best Westerns usually provide a higher level of service & offer a great breakfast for an affordable price, also I needed a quick overnight hotel when I didn't make it through ORD customs & TSA in time for my connecting flight. If I could choose again, I'd probably stay somewhere else. Here are a few reasons: -The linens, carpet & shower curtain were very worn & tattered. Time for replacement on all. -My rotary dial phone in my room was not even connected to a phone line. I pulled out the furniture to try to find the cord but it wasn't there. Safety issue much? -Breakfast was average but not the usual Best Western spread I've come to know & love. Eggs were the only meat/protein product on the bar. Of the two waffle makers, 1 was broken & the other was partially broken-no alert to notify you when your breakfast was fully cooked. -The hotel advertises a shuttle service, but no driver is on duty so they hire out private taxis-odd, but effective. Seems like it would be expensive for the management. -The body care dispensers in the shower were not appropriate for the products being dispensed. After about 5 minutes of pumping the hair products, I gave up & dug in my luggage for something I had on me while dripping wet. Side note: I do appreciate the hotel's earth friendly approach to eliminate little sample size bottle waste, wished the dispensers worked. Beds & room were comfortable though-heat worked, sheets were clean but there was no comforter-found that odd. Just sheets & a blanket. Overall, it was a mediocre stay.

great location easy in and out have stayed at this location several time because it is clean and has all the amenities that are required. Will stay here again because of it is near O hare and has shuttle on demand if you reserve it ahead of time.

Got a free upgrade to a room with a Jacuzzi. Room was nice and clean. Beds were good. Staff was helpful. Free Internet was more than adequate for my work requirements was able to view HD video without interruptions; and the free breakfast was pretty good. Great location near O'Hare.

Room was OK. Clean but nothing special. Pool was closed, but we wouldn't have used it anyway. My 4am wake up call was never made, so it's a good thing we used the alarm as a back up. Shuttle to the airport was on time, but our pick up when we came back took 2 hours!!! I realize that the airport was probably busy but when I called for pick up, I was told 20 minutes. After 30 I called back and was told just another 15 min. After a bit, the Driver called and told me that the traffic was bad and it would be another 15 min. After 1 hr 45 min, I called the Driver and she said that we needed to go to the next door down and it would be 5 min. When she arrived she had another group that had just been picked up, but told us, she had driven by twice(we watched carefully and never saw her). Maybe this was all just a mix up but just tell me the truth.

Book room online after viewing website which showed that they had everything we desired. At time of check in we come to find out the pool is out of service which was very disappointing because it was something we were looking forward to after a long day in chicago museums. Tread mill in exercise room was also inoperable. The room however was clean and acceptable. The breakfast was good with fresh eggs and self serve waffles and other items. The parking lot was completely filled with cars parked around building half on the road and half off which seemed to a fire code violation. There was no room for our car in the hotel lot and had to park in a neighboring lot. Over all the stay was good for the price which was fair with 10 days of parking

The hotel was very clean and seemed to be being worked on to keep modern and up to date. Pool was down at time of visit, but just another improvement being worked on. Shuttle service was prompt and efficient.

The hotel itself is fine. Clean, comfortable, quiet and what more can you expect. But as others have mentioned, the park and fly situation makes it very difficult to find parking in the lot itself. I had to park in the additional parking area and it was not clearly defined.

Very clean rooms, parking is horrible due to park and fly. They allow too many cars in the lot. It was hard to navigate a SUV with cars lined alongside the fence. Free breakfast had a nice variety but there were not serving utensils with the muffins or waffle maker. There was not water offered to drink and no fountain that we saw. My daughter does not like apple juice or milk

My mother was in the hospital here for surgery and we knew were would need a convenient, reasonably priced place to stay. This was it! We were within 3 miles of the hospital. The hotel was clean and staff was very accommodating. The only problem was the parking. Definitely needs more spaces and monitoring of cars that park directly behind other vehicles, making it difficult to back out. But I highly recommend this hotel otherwise.

This hotel is very good choice for park-fly-night situation when you need to park your car, and spend night(s) before/after your travel. The rooms are clean and have TV, refrigerator, coffeemaker and etc. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast has many choices and food is fresh. Shuttle works on demand without delay.

The hot tub not working and when it was brought to the attention of the desk, I was told the manager was not available until two days later. the remote not working, it was fixed promptly. , the water pressure low, odor throughout the hallway

Brief overnight before an appointment, this hotel was clean and safe. The breakfast was basic hotel fare; nothing special but totally adequate. Parking was easy. There are a few under room parking places if you get there at the right time. There is an indoor pool and fitness center, but we didn't use them. We had stayed here before and chose to come back.

Hotel was clean, staff friendly, experienced no problems. Parking is limited and cramped. We stayed here before flying out of O'Hare Airport. Staff was flexible for early morning (5:45 AM) early trip to the airport. Driver was promptly on time. It took about 20 minutes to get from the hotel to the airport.

The overall experience was good, but some of the staff was not as helpful as others. We had an issue with the heat in our room (Not working even when on high) and 1 staff member was helpful in checking and restarting it, but the 2nd front desk clerk was not understanding. They offered for us to change rooms, but as it was 11pm and we were checking out the next morning it was not worth it. He was NOT understanding of us wanting to be accomidated for this (The temp outside was -2). Overall it was a good choice for our family (we had 6 rooms) but I am not sure I will choose this again.

My reservation was supposed to include airport shuttle and parking. When I checked in they charged me a daily fee for leaving my vehicle at the facility. Clearly understand what you are paying for when you make your reservation.

Exterior and interior of the building was in need of repair. Because this hotel offers park and fly services there was not enough parking spaces available. Had to park next to curb and was blocked in the morning when checking out. Will not return to this hotel.

everything was what I expected. Breakfast bar was great. pool area not that excited about wanted a hot tub but none. Front desk people were helpful. The beds were comfortable; Its location was close for food and shopping

We had family come in for a wedding and 10 rooms were booked. Received two free breakfast coupons. One person was sitting with us took a bit of my food and they brought over a bill to charge that person for a meal. Use your head people know what battles to pick. I will never return to any Radisson. Nor will all my family and friends Rooms were dirty small loud

Please beware of this Hotel. There was a very foul smell on the second it was so strong it smelled in the rooms. Could not sleep due to this. Hotel would no refund nights not stayed. Thieves. I had to book at another hotel across town and dispute on my credit card.

Perfect location for a quick trip to visit friends. Greeted by friendly, helpful staff. Free parking. Comp breakfast was fair with waffles, eggs, oatmeal, juice, fruit, pastries, toast and another type of side that changes daily (potatoes, biscuit/gravy, sausage patty. Plenty go coffee! My only disappointment was the size of the bath soap. One very small thin square of soap for the sink. To be fair, there is a device in the shower that contains body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. We solved the sink (which is outside the bathroom) soap by going to Walgreens and buying a bar! Easy solution. The beds are comfortable and the room was a good size. I will return for another visit...but will bring my own soap!

For the money, this was a great place to park and fly. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Since it was cool outside we did not have a/c issues other earlier reviewers mentioned. We were tired and disorganized and the young man at the front desk was very patient and helpful. He took time to clearly answer all our questions and provide the shuttle information we needed. The shuttle driver was friendly and timely. Breakfast was standard fare and plentiful.

was picked up promptly at O'Hare after I called when I got in at 12:15 a.m. only problem was when I asked to use the computer and did I need a password. was told by the desk clerk I didn't need a password and the computer was on. could not get the computer going and had to get the desk clerk to turn it on and the login phrase and the password. please don't waste people's time. tell them how to turn the computer on and the password.

We stayed here for a couple of nights in September 2015. Check in was easy, we were there 2 hours before check in, our room was ready, so we were able to go straight to the room. The room was clean, and beds were comfortable. I appreciated that the sink and counter were seperate to the toilet and shower. I didn't like that you had to be in the room for the AC to work, as it was 90 plus degrees and when we got back to the room it took sometime to get it to a comfortable temperature. For some reason the people above us were very noisy (sounded like a herd of elephants) Who walks around that much? They were up at 5am so we were too! The pool was nice. The morning breakfast was decent, although they needed to be more organized with plates, condiments etc.. We waited for for plates, then syrup, then napkins..... Overall, I would stay here again. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. The price was very reasonable.

Looking for a hotel with a park n fly. This hotel had a park n fly at no extra charges. They had someone take us to the air port and when we returned 7 days later, he picked us up at the air port. This is the first time we stayed at a Best Western, was not disappointed. I think this is my new best friends..

Hotel was clean. Furnishings in room were reasonably newer. Bed was comfortable. Whirlpool in room was old but large and worked OK. Cold water handle on whirlpool leaked when turned on. A/C was old and plugged into a wireless sensor that turned off the A/C when no movement in room. Good for hotel to save energy but bad if you are staying in room. Room got stuffy overnight. We left A/C on low when we left room for the day but it was hot and stuffy in room when we returned because sensor turned A/C off. It took the old A/C unit a few hours to get room to good temperature after we returned. Breakfast on first morning was OK - eggs & french toast for hot items. No breakfast meats. Hot items were completely empty when we came down on second morning. Parking is only behind building. When we checked out on second morning, there was a van parked next to us with sliding door open. Van was full of people packed together and sleeping on floor of van. This was a little disconcerting to say the least. We would probably not stay at this hotel again.

We flew to Chicago to vacation for a week and stayed here the first night and the last night because they had an airport shuttle and because I could rent a car from Enterprise (just a mile and a half away) for about half of the cost of a car at O'Hare. The shuttle was very prompt both ways and the hotel was very nice. It's an older property in an older neighborhood, but it's safe and there were several places to eat within easy walking distance. The sports bar down the road was a nice place to get a beer. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the service was excellent. Breakfast was more than just a continental one and offered eggs and bacon as well as the other usual fare. Our only problems were an alarm clock and hair dryer that didn't work. They tried to fix the clock, but I told them it wasn't an issue. My wife had a "hair emergency" when she found the dryer didn't work, but the maintenance guy came to the room at 8 AM and replaced it with a new wall unit. Again, it's an older hotel so one needs to assume a few hiccups. Overall, I would stay there again on our next trip.
