Best Western Plus Dartmouth Hotel & Suites, Dartmouth

Stayed at this hotel a few times for business & for personal. The rooms are super clean and roomy! The breakfast is to die for and has something for everyone. The pool area is perfect for families with the water slide & pool. Also has a splash pad type area that my girls loved! Close to shopping & restaurants.

We love this hotel. Our most recent stay was the first time we had a room that only contained a walk in shower which wasnt great for young children - besides that; great stay! I recommend asking for a bathtub if you have a need for one. I had no idea as we always had one before our most recent stay. We were in the city for IWK appointments and our kids (age 5,2&5months) werent keen on the stand up shower option. However the new renovations are beautiful (stand up shower included) but not great for younger children

The original part of the hotel still has tubs so it is great advise you are giving to make sure ahead of time that you request a tub if needed. We came for a corporate party and even though we live within HRM, the hotel was heavenly! Luxurious beds, and even though tons of pillows on beds, I found them all too fluffy and yet still slept well; quiet and peaceful. Woke up to a delicious hot breakfast, including ham, sausage and eggs. With a choice of breads and cereals and even fresh fruits! We will definitely book a room again next year!

This hotel by far is the best one in the best western chain in the area. Get the jacuzzi suite it's worth the money the resurturant is great food great staff. Be sure to visit this property. It has a pool very nice to relax in .

My family enjoyed New Years Eve there and had a great time. The pool/splash pad/water slide was a huge hit with my daughter! The room was modern, comfortable and spacious, and the next day breakfast was fantastic! A huge selection of food, from hot food to a yogurt bar, and even froot loops (my 3 year old approved!). We will be back..great little family getaway, but would also enjoy with just my husband!

A group of 9 couples had an enjoyable time and great sleep in comfortable beds. Some used pool and other amenities, wifi was fast even with some many people.Free breakfast before leaving was nice.Clean.

3 families. 5 children. Great expereince. The rooms in the 340 is where you want to stay. Brand new and the room we stayed at had a connecting door to the other room which was fantastic! Dont order out on new years eve stay in and get room service fast service and you wont be disappointed!

Stayed a couple of times before and booked for the fab Sunday offer. Relaxed atmosphere with amazing food. Charlie was brilliant in helping my mum who has lots of food intollerences. She was so kind and helpful, a credit to the team. I'm sure I'll be back!

Very clean, quiet hotel with all the amenities you need in a convenient location in DartmouthFree Parking, Free Internet and Free Breakfast is great for the value. Although the hotel was sold out, the halls were quiet and hotel was exceptionally clean

Any time I travel to the area I always stay at the Best Western Plus Dartmouth Hotel. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff makes me feel at home every time I'm there. Only a few minute drive from some world class shopping, less than 15 minute drive to downtown Halifax....what's not to love.

All was awesome wish they had better rate for medical appointments and also better rates for veterans.otherwise this is an awesome hotel when I have an apt in cole harbour to Physio it's very easy to get there from this hotel

We stayed this past weekend with our hockey team during the Girls SEDMHA tournament. The staff were awesome and helpful. Check in was fast and all our teams rooms were ready. Kudos to the Front Desk and housekeeping. The pool and water slide were the best we have ever experienced. The girls spent hours there. Breakfast was over the top. We went off to our games full and happy. Will defiantly return next year.

Staff were extremely rude when explaining why adults were not allowed to be be sitting and/or standing in the hallways at 10PM. We were there as part of a hockey team, which the hotel knew, and when we tried to chat in the hallway so our daughters could sleep, at 10PM, with every room in our section occupied by people in our group, staff rudely ordered us to move to our rooms.

My sister in law and I do our yearly xmas shopping adventure in the city, and I had booked our overnite stay at Best Western Plus Dartmouth. We arrived early and I knew our room wouldn't be ready yet but that was ok. I went into the desk and was greeted by a very nice young lady. She checked me in, and I had requested a ground floor room, and my request was made. I told her we would be back after our day of shopping. She said "happy shopping". We arrived back in the afternoon and the room was ready. The other young lady that gave me the rooms keys was very friendly and professional. Got to the room, was 2 queen beds which I also requested, was very clean, bathroom was well stocked, had fridge, microwave and coffee maker with lots of coffee and tea. Beds were comfy but too many pillows, we counted 7 on each bed. Thought that was kinda funny. I ordered room service, got a light snack and a couple drinks. Wasnt a long wait and the lady server was prompt and and very friendly. Went for a swim, pool was nice and very clean, but got crowded, was a tournament going on and the hotel was booked. But we enjoyed our time in the pool. Ordered supper through room service and the guy said was little busy and might take up to 30 minutes, liked the fact that he told me that, supper arrived in less time. The fellow that brought our food was very funny and also professional at the same time. Buffet breakfast was good, and was included. Check out was fast and was asked how we enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommended this hotel, just minutes away from the mall and Dartmouth Crossing. Very friendly staff.

we spent a night here on November 10 ,food was good ,service was great from counter staff,rooms have been renovated and beds are of a high quality . Our work party dinner was fabulous ,salmon was awesome,Also breakfast even though very busy with customers was fresh and good.Over all would definitely stay here again

Room was clean and comfortable, I loved all the pillows, Lounge was great, clean and comfy., the food was very good and bruschetta was so so good, , staff was friendly and helpful, . Jennifer was the absolute best. we will be going back for sure again.

the hotel offered very great service, friendly, comfortable beds, lots of room in the room, breakfast was great, front desk was quick to have us checked in and checked out. Over all highly recommend!!!!!

Don't go on the weekend because it will be full and the pool and slide is way too busy. Parking can also be at a premium when the hotel is full. Popular destination for younger sports teams and families. Great location and up to date hotel facilities.

I was expecting a motel type experience but this isn't it. Modern, clean, professional staff, and great breakfast. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. Will definitely book again. November 7 is a little too early for Christmas tree and decor in the lobby.

The internet quality was great and the bed was pretty comfortable.. awesome deep bathtub if you wanted to take a bath too.Breakfast was also very delicious good amount of choice for what you wanted to eat

This hotel offers excellent service! The room was well appointed, beautifully decorated and very clean. However I really missed not having a make-up mirror in the bathroom! This hotel is located close to shopping and highway access. The one negative would be that it is very pricey.

Our stay here was amazing. All of the staff were friendly, and treated us with smiles. The room was very nice - clean, comfortable and lots of space. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the area. Also, the breakfast that was included in our room rental was way better than most we've had elsewhere.

We went to best western plus in darthmouth last year first time very easy to locate near all shoppiung we wwere there to see ikea and we went back this year hotel is clean very comfortable buffet style complimentary breakfast there was a wedding going on and we heard nothing it was quiet and very pleasant will return

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Dartmouth for 3 nights. Our suite had a private bedroom with a King bed. There was also a sofa bed in the sitting area with a bathroom between the bedroom and the sitting area. Our suite seemed quite large and there was lots of room for 3 people. Breakfast was included and it consisted of an extensive buffet, including eggs, bacon and sausages. We had an evening meal in the dining room and found the food to be very good. The dining room service was excellent. The location of this hotel is quite central - roughly 20 minutes to Halifax International Airport and 10-12 minutes to Halifax Downtown. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this hotel and will be coming back.

Only place I stay in the Halifax area. Always great staff, great service. Excellent food and staff in the Trendz restaurant. Only complaint would be the fitness room does not always have towels available and the water bottle can sometimes be empty. Room should be checked more often maybe. Other than that, always a great experience.

Check in went well and we were off to our room on the upper floor. We initially thought the pillows were going to be a challenge, but we opened up the pillow cases and flattened them out a bit and voila! Perfect. It seems that the housekeeping staff scrunch them up and fold the cases tight to make them fluffy. Not a problem. I was surprised at the noise level, as we heard pretty much every person who was walking down the corridor talking, which although a bit of an aggravation, did not go on past an acceptable time. Our second night there was a challenge with some not so well behaved children in the adjacent room. We thought of trying for a different room, but we liked the king suite we were in and did not want to give it up. We also understand the challenges parents have with tired and upset kids. The noise abated at around 11PM. One feature we liked about this hotel is the ability to cast streaming from your device to the television set, so we watched a vit of Netflix while waiting for the kids next door to settle down. That is a nice touch. As a negative, the hotel is in an area that is mostly commercial and although it is a short drive to some shopping options, it is not located in a "walking friendly" area. There are paths around Spectacle Lake across the road, and a park like area further to the west but i did not feel comfortable heading down these darkened paths on my early morning walks.

Our hotel is very sound proof so they have to be very loud for the sound to travel. I can assure you that the walking trails around Spectacle Lake and the Burnside Area are safe. Now that the new RBC Centre (4 Pad Arena) is next door to us, there is plenty of light in the area and plenty of folks doing early morning runs and walks. Loved the restaurant. Food was wonderful, that staff at the restaurant were very friendly. They greeted and helped us with anything we needed. Stayed here while on a trip to Halifax From Cb for an IWK appointment. The staff was great and the hotel was very clean. I enjoyed breakfast and the breakfast staff. One woman in particular working the kitchen area took my empty plates from the table for me, I believe this isn't their responsibility but assume she went out of her way seeing I'm visibily very pregnant, either way it was a super nice gesture and she was a very sweet woman. I would definitely book a stay here again ??

Stayed in the King Suite - It was kind of retro, which wasn't to my tastes. That aside it was clean and quiet, and staff were wonderful. The breakfast sausages were, in my opinion, horrible and there was not an alternative breakfast meat. Over all, it was comfortable enough for my stay.

We are a little concerned about your comments as our Free Hot Breakfast Buffet is one of the best in the area. All items are freshly made in our Trendz kitchen. We have breakfast sausages and ham as our two meats on the buffet. This combined with fresh scrambled eggs, beans and breakfast potatoes gives our breakfast the edge over our competitors. I would say that the only thing that was nice about our stay was the kindness of the front desk agent that checked us in. When we went into our room, we found hair on the pillows, sheets and the toilet seat. There was a roll of toilet paper sitting on the bathroom floor. We called the desk about the disgusting room that we were given and the lady kindly offered us a room upgrade which was an attempt to make our experience better. But unfortunately it was not an end to the problems. In our new room, the A/C was so loud that it woke me up 3 times. It was also very out dated. After a poor sleep, we wanted to order some food. Since the restaurant was closed, we ordered pizza from another restaurant. There were menus attached to the guest directory in the room so we used this directory to see our options and prices since we didn't have any ideas about any restaurants in the city. We thought our total was $22 according to the menu but when the food got there, we ended up paying $38! The prices in the guest directory are way off! I mentioned it to the person that checked us out but he didn't seem like he cared much. No apology nothing at all! Another thing, if you have carpeted floors, you as a hotel must have slippers! We dont know what is inside those carpets! We looked everywhere in the room and no sign of slippers! The only reason for me not to give this stay the terrible rate is the kindness of the lady who checked us in! Other than that, this property is not pleasant at all! To sum it up, our next trip to Dartmouth/Halifax, we definitely won't be staying here!

Was a great hotel/location. The pool area was great except the shallow end is too deep for young children. Check in/out was smooth. Breakfast area was well maintained and clean. Only complaint was the cleanliness of my room.

We stayed for the first time since the renovations and this hotel only got better than it already was. Beautiful rooms with very helpful and wonderful staff and the new water slide is amazing! This is a wonderful family oriented hotel as well as accomodating businesses as well. Centrally located near all amenities, including Dartmouth Crossing! Can't wait to come back!

My sister was married here and we all had a wonderful experience. The rooms were new and clean, kids had fun at the pool and the food was good. The wedding venue was nice and everything went smoothly.

Close to airport and Burnside industrial park , great for me who has lots of distributors of my products there. Restaurants and stores also within walking distance! Great staff and very polite they even have a points program?

The front desk was busy and they still had a smile on their faces when I was checked in. It was my first visit and it won't be my last and I haven't even slept here yet! But the staff was great at the beginning it can only get better from here. Thank you Best Western for being so great at customer service. I will be here again for sure and yes I'm looking at a brick wall but that's not why I'm staying here, it's for the service and friendly staff

Although we were only there for a 1 night stay, we would not have had an issue staying there 1 full week. The room was renovated and quite large as well. All modern conveniences were included in the room. Your stay includes a complimentary breakfast and it was outstanding. Everything that you could imagine and more. You will not leave hungry or dissatisfied with this breakfast. Hotels staff were friendly and efficient and property itself very clean. Great work everyone.

Lucked out when we found the Best Western Plus in Dartmouth. We were going to stay for one night but because they had everything we wanted we stayed two nights and used the Hotel as our headquarters as we toured the Halifax area. Will recommend this hotel to anyone heading east from the west coast where we live.

Arrived at the hotel before noon and had gotten my room early. Great for me as I was traveling with three children and needed to get out of the vehicle to stretch our legs and just relax before venturing out in Halifax. The hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly. The room was very nice and clean. The view wasn't very nice as it was a brick wall but I hadn't planned on staying in the room very long anyways. The breakfast was wonderful. Lots of food that consisted of scrambled eggs, ham, sausage, waffles, fruits, cereal etc. and lots of seating for everyone. Great stay.

Best stay for the price and location and great staff from the front desk to the restaurant. The location was great as to be able get to the may highway whether you wanted to go see something or if you were leaving. Also very peaceful and quiet.

We were assigned to the new addition and the room was quite lovely. We initially booked two rooms and only booked one night. However our plans changed and we needed an additional night. We were put on the wait-list and although I am sure there is a list, we really felt we were not just languishing on the wait-list and that the staff were actively searching for a solution for us. The pool and slide were beloved by the 4 children we traveled with. You need to sign a waiver for the slide (even if you don't plan to use it) and it certainly is the best slide I have seen in a hotel. I liked that it was separate from the pool and there was no worry of collisions in the larger pool area. Breakfast was very busy and staff were working hard to replace food and replenish condiments, plates, cutlery, etc.

This is a nice clean hotel that offered good, friendly service and had most all the amenities you'd require. Room wasn't extravagant but large, up to date, clean and comfortable. The kids (including this 50+ y/o kid) loved the waterslide and pool. Breakfast was adequate and was a good start to the day. It is a little off the beaten track, probably 1+km to even a little bit of commercial area so probably best to have your own transportation when coming here.

Spent one night in a very nice suite. Bedding was really comfortable. Lots of space in the living room area, separate from the bedroom. Did a quick workout in the gym, not very big but they have the basics. Could have a few more choices for breakfast for the health conscious people such as boiled eggs & cottage cheese. Otherwise, a great stay. Hotel is closed to lots of restaurants & shopping.

This was our first stay at this location. The staff were very friendly,the room was large and clean, and the bed was super-comfortable. The hot breakfast buffet was well stocked and attended. The hot food was actually hot!! I had called prior to our arrival to ask about a bottle of sparkling wine to be in our room on check in but that wasn't a service offered. However, up on hearing it was our anniversary a note was made in case they could upgrade us at no charge to a jacuzzi suite. Luckily when we arrived someone had canceled and we were upgraded. We were very pleased. The only slight negative was we put the card on our door to indicate we wanted the room straightened and the towels refreshed after 1pm. We got back to our room that evening and the note was still on the door...nothing had been done. My husband stopped by the front desk to get us a few new towels. Aside from that I'd definitely stay here again. We did not use any of the other amenities during our stay.

When we stay in a hotel for the night in Halifax we always go to this one. They treat us very well. Great place for the family. Very reasonable price. Rooms are everything you need and more. The breakfast is awesome. This would be my recommendation.

I've stayed at the Best Western Plus in Dartmouth Crossing many times before for business and it is consistently fine, however there are better options in the area. One thing that I really do not like is that they have a great pool area but it is packed with children yelling and splashing at all times of the day including 10 o'clock at night, so while I would love to relax in the pool in the evening there is nothing relaxing about it. I've stayed at other hotels that offer adult-only hours after 9pm and it is much appreciated. The rooms are average, breakfast and free parking are included, and the staff has always been friendly. However, there are many hotels in the area closer to shopping, that offer more conveniences, and have brand new renovations. I'm sure it's a great place to stay for families with children, but not for business or couples.

We have stayed at this hotel 2 different times now. And i doubt we will book again. The hotel is decent for cleanliness, room size, location. But the noise levels are on another level. If you enjoy having a heard of elephants above you then this is the hotel for you. This hotel is very popular for families and i must say, parents that let their children do as they please when they please. (3 am and jumping on and off the beds which would actually shake our bed a floor below, not to mention the noise). Clearly this is not the hotels fault, but is something that they should be addressing with these guests. Everyone pays to stay but not everyone gets what they pay for (a place to SLEEP). Also, we learned after our first time there that the 6 pillows they give you on your bed are all crap. Bring your own pillow.

We stayed one night with our two sons, aged 4.5 and 1.5.The hotel is lovely. The room was spacious and clean. It's nice having a restaurant on site, which we used and was great. The staff was very helpful and polite. Breakfast was great. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was to try out the new water slide and splash area. The water slide is so much fun, the pool was set to a great temperature and the splash area looked fun too. However, the floor in the pool/slide/splash room is horrid. It looks great, but is like walking on ice when it's wet (which is always). I couldn't even let my 1.5 year old down, because he literally couldn't stand up it was so slippery. He fell twice, hitting his head once, and while holding my hand another time. My 4 year old fell when he was getting out of the slide, and I seen another little girl fall while we were there (within a 45 min span). None of the kids were running or acting up, it's just that slippery. Even when I tried to walk a crossed it, I shuffled so I didn't fall. The floor has absolutely no grip on the tile. You can imagine what that is like with a splash pad. They have you sign a waiver when you check in if you are going to use the pool/slide. I can see why now after experiencing the extra slippery floor. Next time we will likely go back to the Hampton Inn in Dartmouth, just because I'm scared of my kids getting hurt on the floor here. It's a shame though, because this place has a better water slide. I have never had this problem at any other place.

This is a really good hotel.The rooms are clean and spacious.The wi-fi is good.The pool is awesome and the water slide is fun.I actually really enjoyed the restaurant inside the hotel and breakfast had a good variety of food.The hotel is also close to downtown Halifax and all the stores and restaurants in Dartmouth.Overall this is Worth your money and a fantastic choice if you are staying in Halifax

We loved this hotel as it was near the shops we wanted as well as the bridge for Halifax. We all loved the pool and especially the water slide. Breakfast was great and staff very helpful. Would definitely come back!

I really like this hotel. It is the best value for a chain hotel in the immediate area. The rooms are a nice size, everything is quite fresh and new, the rooms all have a fridge, and the free breakfast is very good. The wifi works reasonably well although I had to walk my tablet towards the door a few times in order to regain a lost connection. I like that I don't have to log in every day and that it is usually quite a strong signal. I try to stay here whenever I have to stay in Dartmouth but sometimes you have to book quite far in advance as it fills up quickly.

Very nice hotel we were in the new wing the room was very nice. Beds were awesome like sleeping in a cloud. Only down fall in our room was the air unit was noisy and quit one night, leaked water all over the floor. The front desk staff was very willing to do what the could to fix the problem. Would stay here again without thinking twice!!

Stayed at this hotel a few times. ALWAYS a great stay. Superb staff, rooms, restaurant, etc. The pool area is a dream. Warm pool, splash pad and the best waterside EVER for a hotel. We've visited many hotels with a waterslide and this is by far the best!!! Don't even bother looking anywhere else to stay.

We had a nice stay here. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. We met with a friend (who is a local) for dinner here at the restaurant. The food was good and the service was exemplary, with that Nova Scotia welcome. We sat for a few hours visiting and our server was not the least bit upset over our long stay. They have everything you need, including laundry on site. I would be sure to stay here again.

Stayed here with my husband for a weekend. Room was clean, and modern stocked with fresh towels, bed was comfortable. I found it was darker. Needed way more lights. Breakfast buffet was a perfect added touch.

The Best Western chain of hotels has always been reliable in terms of quality and value. We stayed here for the Canoe and Kayak National Team Trials in Dartmouth, and the hotel had everything we needed. Comfortable rooms, Breakfast, and a location close to our event.

I had a two night stay --- front desk check in was quick/efficient and friendly. Room was very clean, as were all common spaces in the hotel. Unfortunately, due to time restrictions, I didn't sample the free breakfast. I would stay here again ( a little hard to find, but google maps located the main driveway).

My family of ten spend 4 days in the Dartmouth Plus Hotel . We found it a very good match of us. There were 4 children 6 to 16 years old. The big PLUS was the gigantic water slide which the youngest children could not get enough of. The breakfast was OK, and the staff were super nice. Location was good to the Halifax ferry- all in all it fit our needs nicely.

Booked here while visiting on business - convenient to airport and Halifax city centre. The folks were very friendly upon check in - upgraded me to exec suite at no extra charge - supplied 2 drinks and a snack - nice touch. The TV won't work and someone showed up right away to reprogram to remote. The hotel is under construction adding on a new wing - but it didn't really affect me. The decor in the room is average - having stayed at many hotels while on business - but the bed and pillows were comfy and the room clean. The is lots of parking spaces and there is a convenient restaurant and bar with large tv downstairs.

I thought the hotel was nice, just a confusing spot to get to gps brough me on the wrong street but other then that it was a lovely hotel. I liked the free breakfast and the internet was good. Was a decent stay.

Staff, Restaurant, and Rooms are TOP notch. Convenient location to airport, shopping etc. We were attending a conference at this location the Banquet Staff are amazing on their game totally. The bed was a dream to sleep in. Worth every penny spent.

Hotel is nice and clean with a spacious room. Walls are a bit thin as I could hear people walking the halls during the night (I believe there was a party on site). Bonus was organic cruelty free products like shampoo and lotion. Also, great to have a coffee maker, fridge and microwave in the room. Also, the cost of the stay includes a free hot breakfast. Negatives for me were no bottled water to make the coffee/tea, no extra blankets and no option to order movies. Only movies were what is offered on regular TV.

Well maintained hotel in a good location for shopping at Dartmouth Crossing and Mic Mac mall. The Breakfast buffet was a little better than average with lots of seating and food choices . The waffles were cooked in advance and only needed to be toasted preventing the usual bottleneck . There is a on site bar and restaurant . The only down side was our room was a suite and the only air conditioner was in the bedroom so we had to have that room freezing to try to keep the sitting /TV room at a comfortable temp.

A great hotel with a good price, hot continental breakfast was included. The upgrades to the pool are great and the fact that the pool is heated to a comfortable temperature is an added bonus. The only thing that would have made our stay better would be a hot tub but obviously not necessary. The staff were very friendly and polite during check in and out. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone with children on a family trip.

Stayed here for 7 nights and it suited the need but it wasn't anything special. Room doesn't have a Keurig which was slightly disappointing as most hotels have them now. The pool was closed for two days due to adjacent construction on the property as they're building additional rooms (looks to be another 2 months away from completion) but I didn't experience any construction noise (my room was on the opposite side). Room was large, clean, quiet and well-appointed. WiFi was hit and miss but wired internet worked well with good speed for Netflix. Bar/lounge menu was just ok, with very few healthy options but the staff were very friendly (especially Kelly) and efficient and the bartender (didn't catch his name) definitely knew his craft. Lots of TV's in the lounge for the sports fans as well. The location has good access to shopping at Dartmouth Crossing and even though the parking lot at the hotel filled up quickly, I never had a problem finding a spot. I would probably stay at another hotel the next time as most of my business is done on the Halifax side, but this is a good option if you need to be in Dartmouth.

Very clean and really good food. The staff were very friendly. I have stayed at this location several times and always get really good service. It is one of the better hotels I have stayed at. It is also very close to the Airport

We had a very clean room, room service was good, front desk staff very friendly. Cost of room was a bit over priced-$200 plus tax. As for the comfort of the room well we won't be booking one there when there is a hockey tournament going on- kids were playing hockey upstairs from us- hind site we should have complained to the front desk but we were ok after 8pm when they went bed.

This hotel is located with 2 mins of dartmouth crossing. bar/restaurant onsite. Only issue I have is the pool area is undergoing renovations. The cost of the hotel is typically based on amenities offered as well as many other things, if the amenities are not available I would assume the hotel should offer a discount of some sort but their only response is 'We give you plenty of time to cancel if you don't want to stay' Not a very professional response.

We have reports that we get every day on rates in the area and we kept our rates at least $20.00 below the other hotels in order to compensate for the pool closure and other small inconveniences. The issue is that there is no way to portrait this to guests as they are booking. Let me assure you that your rate was lower than all hotels in the area. We took advantage of the one night DBB for £99 and it was worth every penny. Room was lovely but a bit chilly - heater was not man enough. We could hear neighbours snoring too which wasn't great. The 2 course evening meal was really nice, some of the best tasting food i've had for a while but let down as could have been warmer. Breakfast was great but we were told we had to wait for cooked as a table of 9 had sat down just before us which I don't think is good enough. We just kept being told to visit the cold buffet!!! Spa is really nice and we were lucky it was quiet. We both had massages - husband loved his but mine wasn't great, very limp and repetitive movements. Bar area was nice with a lovely atmosphere and some lovely friendly staff. All in all we had a great stay. Close to dartmouth too which we enjoyed on a sunny day.

Working 14 hr days and traveling hundreds of km being able to relax in a clean comfortable room is needed and when your able to go to have a delicious supper in the same building it's so much more better love the Best western hotels

The service at the front desk was good. Fruits, cookies, water, juice and coffee available for free at the front desk. The room was confortable and clean. The high speed internet works good. Breakfast was okay, good. Restaurant: I was deceived 2 out of 4 times.

We stayed at the Best Western for one night during a shopping trip at the end of November. The beds were super comfortable, room was spacious and very clean, food was good and staff very friendly. The only negative was that the eggs were dry at breakfast. Otherwise, it was excellent!!

Stayed here one night for business meeting...loved it's convenient location in Dartmouth Crossing. Rooms are very (!) spacious and very clean. Breakfast included and well done. I ate supper in the restaurant and could not finish it...delicious meal! Staff were all extremely helpful and kind. Will not hesitate to stay here again.

if you looking for an hotel near Dartmouth crossing it is the good place. They were doing some renovation when we were there but wasn't too noisy. They were listen to our situation and give us the best situation in the hotel.

Currently undergoing pool/restaurant upgrades and an expansion. However, it has not affected the cleanliness of the hotel or quality of food in the restaurant, or staff service. During our stay last week and again this week there was external construction noise between 8 AM & 4 PM. Good location, as we were downtown Halifax in less than 15 minutes in non-rush hour traffic.

The hotel is very well kept, the staff is second to none.. close to good shopping and close to the Dartmouth industrial park.. it has a great fitness centre, and excellent food at the Trendz restaurant.......

Charged full room rate for no services available. Staff were friendly and helpful did the best they could do. 1 restaurant open for my business meeting, very slow service. There was a load ventilation noise i had outside my door all night long, very noisy Not good!

There are not enough words to express how wonderful the Best Western Plus in Dartmouth is. The staff are all very nice and helpful and go out of their way to make your stay a wonderful experience. I have no problem or hesitations of giving all the staff and The Best Western Plus chain the highest marks available. Kudos to all of you and again Thank You for another great stay

Was disappointed due to the fact that they did not mention when booking the hotel that they were under renovations and that some services were not available (pool / exercise room). The construction crew showed up early each morning and you could hear their vehicle backing up due to the reverse beepers. Then all silent until 7am when the work started.

We are surprised that your Travel Agent did not pass along that the hotel has some renovations happening. Our confirmation that would have been sent to them is very clear on the work going on at the hotel. The Pool is closed but exercise room is open. Also, the work started at 8 AM daily. We will look into this and correct it. The renovations are going to look amazing, please come back and see them. Ron

Hotel was well located in relation to a training course that I was attending nearby, each day for three days. Hotel was clean and very quiet, and the room was well equipped. Unfortunately all of the pillows were very large and firm and I was unable to use any of them. That would be my only complaint. There was construction going on inside and outside the hotel - parking lot, roofing, baseboard moldings in halls, etc, but this did not negatively effect my stay. The breakfast was very good and not too busy in the 6:30-7:00 am time slot when I was there. The hotel is well situated and good value for the cost. I would recommend it and stay there again if I was in the area.

It was very easy to check in and check out of this hotel. The room was very clean and well organized. The bed and pillows were comfortable, there was plenty of room to move around and there were lots of plugs to charge my devices. However - at 5:30 a.m. the person in the room above me started walking back and forth in his/her room. I could hear every step for 30 minutes. I was surprised the floors were that thin. Also, soon after that, I could hear something rattling. I eventually tracked it down to the plastic cover over the small freezer compartment in the fridge. All this served to provide less than a great night's sleep. Other than those noise issues, which might not happen every trip, this hotel was lovely.

Clean rooms, very good bed/pillows, convenient location, free parking, fantastic complimentary breakfast and friendly staff... good value. AC unit on/off frequently may be annoying for light sleepers... overall good place for business travel.

Construction made parking a real problem. In spite of this service as always was excellent at Front Desk, Bar, Restaurant & Convention Centre. Always find Hotel Staff to be very helpful & friendly. I make Best Western Dartmouth my home when ever I am in the Halifax Metro area.

Stayed overnight, and with a late arrival just off the plane and an early start the next day, sleep was needed. My "look for/ must have" was met: Bed comfortable - both firm and soft at the same time - and a wealth of pillows to choose from. Added bonus - food was awesome. I took the recommended seafood medley. Posted pics

I have stayed at this Hotel several times in the past and have always been happy with the service and amenities during the stay... The Beds are amazing and the duvet is great for cuddling on a cool morning... If I could have taken the duvet home I would have packed it in my bag and took it home.... I haven't had a better sleep in months...

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times and it is always clean, quiet, the staff is friendly and the breakfast (which is included) is fabulous. The location is great, close to Dartmouth Crossing. They are currently undergoing some renovations in the dining area, but there was no disruption, no mess and no noise during breakfast. I would choose this hotel over any other in the area.

We enjoyed our stay the past 3 days it's unfortunate the swimming pool was unavailable for the children but by the looks of the renovations there will be a slide of some sort. The staff was amazing along with the front staff and the lounge area servers were good. Cleaning staff are friendly to us. The general manager seemed under pressure the past two morning's but he was extremely nice. Other then the hotel the only thing we did not like was being woken up at 7 in the morning but it's construction and they have a job too. I highly recommend this place to stay friendly environment.

I always stay at the Best Western Plus in Dartmouth both for Business or Leisure. The staff is courteous, the rooms are clean and a good size. And a hot breakfast included. It is also close to Dartmouth Crossing for shopping and restaurants.

This hotel has big rooms. The room & washroom were super clean and the toiletries were premium that were cruelty free which our family appreciated being animal lovers. The breakfast was well laid out with a lot of variety. The restaurant onsite had an amazing staff and they made us special vegetarian meal that was not on the menu. Loved the cookies at check-in. I will stay here the next time I am in Halifax area

This hotel is very convenient to Dartmouth attractions. Breakfast was excellent .The room was comfortable and had a separate King bedroom. They were doing renovations, but it did not bother us at all. No work was done on the weekend and when they were working it was still quiet. My husband enjoyed the walking paths and found a few Geocaches near by. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Reason for our stay was a Family wedding, arrived ten minutes before it got underway, speedy check in and room was great. The beds were so comfy and rooms very nicely decorated and supplied with toiletries and towels for all the guest staying in the room. This hotel is fantastic! They allowed us to check in early so we could get to our Thanksgiving Dinner. That was above and beyond. Also, the room was comfortable. The breakfast is fantastic. They are currently doing renovations, but it didn't interfere with our stay.

Breakfast was excellent. Was the best hotel breakfast I have had in a long time. Room quality was average, bed was hard and made for a poor sleep. But that is just a personal preference, I would rather a soft bed.

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel. We will stay again. The rate is a great value. This hotel is friendly, clean, quiet. The rooms have windows that open, a nice fan/heater/ac. The only improvement would be a better quality bed, however their beds are ok. Our bathroom didn't have a toilet seat that fit so it was annoying but I did forget to tell them this minor detail. We'll stay here again.

Parking was a little chaotic due to construction, but otherwise our stay was good. The bed was a tad firm for our liking. Coffee in the room wasn't the greatest, but I can definitely recommend the hotel.

Was here for an event. They were fully booked and when we had originally booked the room there was miscommunication and we were booked for the next night. They were able to fix it for us. Very good hotel

Had a terrific stay at this hotel. Very friendly and helpful front desk. Clean hotel, nice lobby. Free breakfast in the morning was very good - had an interesting "pancake machine" that delivers two fresh hot pancakes at the push of a button. Fruit, yogurt, breads, eggs, etc. Our room had been recently renovated and still smelled "new". Comfortable bed, clean bathroom with plenty of towels. WiFi worked well. Free and ample parking. Would definitely stay here again. You could walk into town but the day we arrived was a rainy and very windy day so we opted to stay close to the hotel.

Placed in a room next door to a gym with the noise of pounding machines and treadmill. Moved to a new room BUT the AC did not work and they made no effort to fix it. Overall not a pleasant stay!!!!!!!!!

My brother and his wife and myself and my wife were on a two week East Coast adventure. We stayed at the Dartmouth Best Western for two nights. We toured the Dartmouth/Halifax area and returned to the comfort of the BW Plus each evening. Our adventure then proceeded to Digby, but we won't soon forget our pleasant stay in Dartmouth.

We stayed three nights and we enjoyed every minute of it. Big clean room and very quiet. It is close to downtown Halifax and to the ferry. They have a good breakfast and a good atmosphere in the restaurant.

This is our 4th visit in as many years to this hotel when visiting from Ontario. The hotel was under some construction updates with the pool, restaurant areas. This was not noted on the web site which would have made for a more informed decision when booking, The first of our four day stay noted a large area of the parking lot being used for construction equipment. Making parking in the evening rather awkward. By the end of our stay they had scaled back the area and more spots were available. The hotel itself was of course in a state of flux but everyone was trying to please and were very attentive. There was a lot of people staying there including a wedding on the Saturday night but things in the room were quiet. The bed was comfortable and the morning breakfast was complete, tasty and hot. Having stayed here before I took this state of flux in stride but it could be a problem for a first time client. Had things been normal they would have received a higher level. It is time though for the administration to start looking at updates in carpet as they are starting to show wear. All in all still enjoyed my stay and will return to them on our next visit to Halifax/Dartmoith

We were planning to stay here for three nights. But, because of the weather in our next destination, we had to cut our stay to two nights. Front desk staff was very helpful. She reminded me this was a high travel season, so I should book another one before I cancel this one. I followed her instruction and got everything done without any problem. Hotel is nice and clean. Breakfast is the best out of same level hotels.

I really enjoyed this hotel. I would recommend it to everyone. The staff was wonderful and made us feel right at home. the pool was wonderful, and the hot buffet (FREE) breakfast was a great start to our day.

Such an over used statement, but in this case it is so true. I have stayed at 100s of comparable hotels around the world and to me this hotel was truly Best In Class. A staff more helpful than most Resorts, very large rooms, super comfortable beds, extremely fast internet, a great bar/lounge, reasonably priced for this class hotel.

My son and I took a "spur of the moment" trip to Halifax. Staff was awesome for letting us check in early after the red eye flight. Cleaning staff was super nice and they did a great job getting our room ready. Overall excellent experience!

A very pleasant stay with a very delicious breakfast every morning. Room was very clean and spacious. Staff was very nice to us with and took care of our mountain bikes during our stay. Will stay there next time around.

Stayed there with a large group for a wedding .The hotel room was perfect. The breakfast was far more than we expected and there was choices for everyone. The hotel catered the wedding supper and it could not have been better, the staff go out of their way to be helpful.

Large suite, clean & tidy with fabulous customer service! Quiet cul-de-sac and although close to shopping centres, you don't have the noise of the city. Free Breakfast is great, good selection! Lots of parking. Hotel looks great from the outside. Up to date interior design. Reasonably priced.

My family and I, had a 2 night stay at this hotel. The room is clean and the beds are very comfortable. They have a nice indoor pool. The hot breakfast buffet was good. I would recommend this hotel. In a quiet industrial park with lots of restaurants and stores close by.

This was a friendly hotel clean and free parking the only negative is we had reservation from three night in a regular room we wanted to add another night they said we only have one room Left I said great . But it was the jaquazzi room it was 30.00 more and only had one bed explained we had a child with us. They would not give us the same rates as the rest of the stay They offered a cot and charged 10.00 more for that . Not impressed with the prices

Stayed here 2 nights with my family. Beds were comfy, breakfast was great. Wifi a bit slow but better than most. Only complaint was the air conditioner/fan unit of the room was very loud, and the light on the wall controls was so bright!! I would stay here again if I were in the area with no hesitation.

The rooms are very spacious and modern. The hotel is very clean. The breakfast is excellent with a variety of hot items and the breakfast area has a very nice décor. The staff are very helpful. There is an abundance of parking and the location is good. We really enjoyed our stay.

Had a great stay, breakfast was included, in room WiFi as well as a list of amenities, heated pool and close to a bar (Doolys). King size bed was amazing, great view and privacy. Close to everything. Staff were great. Got the room for my friends birthday, we were going out drinking, and she loved it! Had a few friends come back, there was plenty room. Staff brought a cot up just incase it was needed. Everything in the room was clean and sanitized, amazing furniture. Ice/pop/chip room was close by (chips/pop was $1.25!!!) couldn't get any better.

We went for a night getaway trip and it was awesome the hotel was really clean, the staff were very professional, the breakfast was really good, the pool was clean and most of all the jacuzzi was the best part of the room not to mention how comfy the bed was! We had a great time and we will definitely be back !

We were very pleased overall with our accomodations and the service at this location. Staff were extremely helpful with answering any questions about local area and the hotel. We had 2 nights at this location at the beginning and end of our trip and the location did not dissapoint other than they pool down for maintenance.

Nice, updated property. Nice breakfast area. Standard breakfast for this kind of property. The bathroom in the room was very tight. In addition, the armchair in the room smelled like vomit. We reported it to the staff but they were in disbelief and didn't offer solution. We asked for it to be removed the chair from the room, which they did but did not provide anything to replace it. No one apologized for the issue or offered compensation for it.

At the Best Western in Dartmouth NS I find the staff friendly and it is a newer hotel and is not showing it's age yet. It is usually always clean and staff are excellent. We had some trouble with the direct billing to a company credit card but after a few stays that has been sorted out. I would recommend the Best Western.

Staff are great. They do everything to ensure you are comfortable. Rooms looks great and lobby very clean. Pool is a good size. Bed very comfortable. If you are having a meeting or wedding would be great place for it.

Best Western Plus in Dartmouth is very clean and well maintained. Windows can be opened for fresh air!!! From many hotels I have tried this one is one of the best. Well located and very accessible. I recommend if you are in the Halifax area.

We took our kids to Halifax for the weekend to getaway. When planning the trip, we wanted something close to everything at a reasonable price. This location met those expectations!! Great value for the money.

We found a great deal at the Best Western Dartmouth and we loved it! All the trouble we went to find the perfect place this hotel was wonderful! Everyone was so sweet and helpful we stayed two nights and ate dinner at Trenz their restaurant and found it so delicious! It is only 15 minutes from downtown taking the ferry to Halifax where it docks right at the boardwalk! I recommend this restaurant hotel!

We stayed 2 nights. The beds were comfortable and the free hot breakfast was good and lots of choice. The staff were friendly and helpful and gave us some outside dinner choices with printed directions. Used the laundry facility. Was clean. It was nice to be able to do laundry at the hotel. Soap etc is available for purchase.

Rall we had an awesome experience at the best Western I had a birthday party for my 11-year-old son and him and his friends really enjoyed our stay the breakfast was amazing and the rooms were very clean and the staff were so friendly

The rooms are spacious, clean and furnished with very versatile useful furniture (ekg. A very large surface desk). The breakfast had an excellent array of both hot and cold foods. A wonderful surprise was the delicious restaurant on site with local wines and beers. The only downside is that it is a bit hard to find--go all the way to the end of the road.

Had a great stay at the hotel and suites in Dartmouth, being approx. 4 hours from home it is a very convenient location for the city and I received a great rate for a king suite. Staff were very friendly and room was beautiful. Lounge, food and drinks are awesome. Recommend and I will be staying there next time around.

We are from US and have to say it's been a long time since we had such great service. Everyone from front desk to Paul the bartender and servers in restaurant are super friendly and helpful. This is a great place, reasonable cost, nice rooms and you will be treated like royalty!

We have stayed at many different hotels,but the beds far exceeded all others.We did not have a view but we didn't care..We rested.They have two elevators .Ice and vending oon floors 1 & 3.Free parking with a huge lit parking lot..Available on site is a full service restaurant.Full breakfast was free each morning.Ham,sausage,eggs,cereals and fruits.The employees were all helpful.My favorite was LeeAnne at the bar.

Great breakfast one of the best I've had in terms of complimentary. Room was clean and the temperature was good. The rooms do feel a bit dated, but I would classify this as a value hotel not a luxury hotel where I'd expect a more modern feel.

We stayed at the hotel 3 nights and it was very convenient, 10 minutes to the ferry in Dartmouth with access to downtown Halifax. Nicely equipped rooms, great check in, very nice staff. The complimentary breakfast was one of the best I have ever had at any hotel.

Wonderful hotel. The staff is friendly and accommodating and the rooms are nice. The hotel is undergoing some construction and renovation but we were on the opposite side so any noise didn't bother us. There was a lot to choose from at breakfast. My only complaint would be that the buffet area is too small for the number of guests but there are plenty of tables to eat after getting your food. Great location for visiting the Halifax area.

Always been a great place to stay in the past and still the same now. Great food, quiet rooms and Staff are wonderful. Upgrades were a wonderful surprise after a few years. Missing some of the old staff, but some still thee . Enjoyed our stay as usual.

Great staff. Wonderful breakfast. Loved the Trendz Restaurant. Clean luxurious and spacious rooms with all the little details taking care of such as large white fluffy bath towels, luxurious toiletries, microwave, fridge, coffee maker. Etc. Can't stress how clean the room was!!

The hotel was clean and comfortable. However, the breakfast is included and too be honest, not that great. It was bland, not hot and had the same offerings both mornings I stayed there. Was not impressed with it.

I have stayed here numerous times and each time my stay has been excellent. The restaurant has some of the best food I have eaten in the past few years. Always clean and the staff at restaurant and hotel are always helpful.

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Staff friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was good and the room was nice. The lounge was very comfortable and the staff was excellent. The check in and check out formalities were painless and no issues were had at this part of my stay. If I had any issues with anything the staff was helpful and understanding. I would recommend this hotel for business or pleasure vacations. The proximity to Dartmouth Crossing makes this hotel and easy and convenient place to have a rest.

Great hotel. Very good restaurant. Nice helpful staff. Easy check in. Loved our king bed and suite room. Nice amenities. Lots of room for parking. Nice entrance. Good breakfast, the usual hotel breakfast choices.

We stayed here on our last night of our maritime holiday because it is close to Halifax. It's in an industrial area. Beds were very comfortable. Lots of pillows to choose from. Staff is professional. Very clean and contemporary. I think there were a couple of conference groups staying there so the Parking lot was very full. Lots to choose for breakfast, less if you have food allergies like mine. Our room looked out at a brick wall; I think there should be a lower price for those rooms! I think this hotel is mainly geared toward business travelers as opposed to families/vacationers but if you are looking for a clean, comfortable and modern place to stay and don't care about neighbourhood ambience, I could recommend this hotel.

We returned to this hotel 2 years after a stay for a hockey tournament and we were not disappointed. The new look and the renovations give the hotel a great fresh feel. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The free breakfast has better offerings that other hotels. Hotel is close to all shopping, tourist sites, etc...great place to stay.

I've stayed in this hotel for business and for pleasure. When they can be they welcome early check in's or late check outs. The staff is friendly and patient and always have a smile. The rooms are roomy and comfortable and the business suites very comfortable. The beds are to die for and you are guaranteed a great sleep. Rooms are pretty sound proof. The included breakfast is delicious and lots for everyone. The restaurant and bar are comfy and have delicious menu - fish and chips one of their best. Staff is always very helpful and special shout out to cleaning crew they are always pleasant and say good morning and rooms are spotless.

Most pillows ever! Different sizes and softness. Modern hotel with lots of parking but a bit out of the way. Breakfast was good and included in the price. Very clean hotel and rooms. Appears to be a fairly new hotel. Close to shopping and restaurants.

This is a nice Best Western in a great location. Hotel is clean and provides a standard hot breakfast. Pool is okay but they are currently adding on to it. Location makes it easy to get to Dartmouth but is only one freeway stop from the bridge to Halifax.

Beautiful hotel , staff was very kind and helpful - restaurant food was well priced with generous (and delicious) portions Located close to downtown/shops... Stayed for a wedding , Venue was beautiful.

A+ Stay! The room was very clean room and very comfortable bed. Excellent Customer Service and the check in process was very efficient. Breakfast the next morning was fantastic! I especially enjoyed the "build your own" waffles - whip cream, strawberry sauce, and coconut. Excellent selection of hot breakfast items - lots to choose from.

This is my go to hotel in Dartmouth, NS. I work my trips around this hotel having space available. Good to see they are catering to their clientele by renovating too, to keep things fresh. Great staff. Restaurant has great food.

Staff are courteous and helpful - I have been staying at this hotel for business and for week-end get-away. The service has consistently been excellent! The rooms are a good size so is the pool and a hot breakfast is included. I highly recommend this hotel!

I was in the area due to a death in my family my first thought was this location I had been a guest in the past and was very happy with my stay so only right this time considering the nature of the trip I wanted to be comfortable and made sure we had no issues. And if course not to my surprise yet again you made our stay very pleasant and we thank you See you again

This is often my choice of properties when I'm over for races. Friendly, accommodating staff, clean rooms and comfy bed. Quiet area, but close enough to everything. Warm breakfast is nice and the choices are good.

Whenever we stay in Halifax/Dartmouth we always try to pick here first. It's located close to most of the major shopping in Dartmouth. Rooms are clean, beds are comfy, hotel is quiet(we usually stay on the top floor) and the staff is friendly, can't ask for much more than that!

Clean, friendly and a great buffet breakfest,always enjoy our stays at this hotel.close to the Micmac mall, ferry to downtown Halifax and also to both bridges Minutes away from Dartmouth crossing where Costco and other stores are located

We travel a lot for hockey and we always welcome a friendly location with amenities that accommodate a group. This location was very good. The staff were friendly, breakfast was good and the accommodations were clean and comfortable. It is in a good location. My only suggestion is to have the rooms cleaned earlier. On Friday our room was cleaned around 3:00pm. On Saturday, our room was still not cleaned by three when we returned for a nap. We had left the hotel at 8:30 and expected when we returned at three that it would be freshened up. I asked for towels, removed the soiled ones, changed the garbage myself and made the beds. By this time, we did not want to be disturbed by cleaning staff.

This property has a small renovation project under way, but this didn't let staff have any slips in exceptional guest service. Highly recommended - an exceptional property! We didn't have a chance to check out the complimentary breakfast in the morning as we had an early flight, so perhaps starting the breakfast at an earlier hour would make a difference for guests heading to the airport.

Here overnight for business. Love this Hotel. Staff is very accommodating, bed was comfortable, rooms are large and hotel is quiet. Pool is small but more than adequate for a quick dip. Had a great stay!

Great place near shopping mall and downtown Halifax, easy access from the highway. Only bad point found during the weekend, there is no fam in the bathroom, so while taking a shower, all the all the steam stay in

There is constant air moving from the hallways, into the rooms and out the bathrooms. We are currently doing some small renos and may have had this system shut down for a period of time. Overall experience with this stay and other Best Western Hotels has always been a good experience. This is why when my wife and I travel, we seek to find a Best western to sty in. from other experience, staff has always been very accommodating, rooms are clean and beds comfortable. Breakfast always has a good choice and the restaurants are priced fairly compared to other outside the hotel chains are. Parking was good

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast with a nice variety of choices. Did not like having to go through the lobby area to get from the pool to the elevator. For a heated pool I found it a bit cool. The location was very convenient for shopping in Dartmouth and Halifax.

This is the second time I've stayed here in recent years, and both times have been very good. Rooms are large, beds are very comfortable and the staff are very friendly. Currently they are repapering all the walls and apparently upgrading the pool area as well. I've never eaten at the restaurant unfortunately, so I can't speak for that place. Proximity to Dartmouth Crossing, MicMac Mall and the bridge to Halifax makes this place ideally located. I highly recommend it to any traveller.

My husband and I stayed here for the weekend.....by far the nicest place so far...room was huge and clean....bed was comfortable....breakfast was delicious.....restaurant serves great food....only complaint was the staff at front desk are not the friendliest...would highly recommend this to my friends and will definitely be back...

This hotel had everything you would need. I stayed for two nights for work purposes. It was conveniently located - close to where I needed to be for work and close Dartmouth Crossing for shopping. The guest rooms were spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. There is a free breakfast in the morning. I did not use the fitness centre or pool but they have both. Staff upon check out were very pleasant and helpful. No complaints.

Stay here when travelling to Halifax Area, both with the family and without. The hotel location is good, close to Dartmouth Crossing Shopping, bridge access and burnside ind park. Typical hotel. I would recommend.

Great clean room, wonderful staff, amazing food. Best of all i could really control the heat in the room....sounds crazy but this is a rare thing in a hotel room. I could warm it up for yoga dn cool it back down for sleep in a matter of minutes.

My associate and I checked in (two rooms) after midnight. The gentleman at the front desk (I think Mr. Johnson or Jackson...not sure) was the most efficient of all front desk people that I have encountered. The lobby looked pretty and updated and the rooms were nicely appointed as well. The complimentary breakfast was great. This was our first time at this hotel and now it will be our first choice in the future as we come for business once or twice a year. Also the free parking was close and easy.

I have stayed at this hotel a lot for education and business over the last two years. The food has always been excellent (Lobster Poutine is my favourite). This hotel offers a true sit at the bar talk with bartender and other guests experience for the business traveller. For the family traveller there is a nice warm pool and morning buffet breakfast. Paul, Vanessa, and Aimee in the bar always add to the experience every stay by making sure everything is perfect and carrying on friendly conversation. I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to the Burnside or Dartmouth Crossing areas.

The hotel I normally stay at, in Dartsmouth, was closed for renovation so I decided to stay at the Best Western Plus. And now...I have a new favourite hotel in Dartmouth. The staff was courteous, helpful and genuine. The room was spacious and well-appointed and very clean. And the restaurant - wow - that was a surprise. The food at Trendz, the on-site restaurant, was really great.

Stayed at this hotel for the first time and I was glad I did service was fantastic and the hotel was clean. Rooms are good size and beds are comfy . Will be back in the near future. Location is great for business or pleasure. Dartmouth Crossing is not too far away and you are also right in the business park.

Hotel was clean and staff was helpful. Breakfast was well appointed with a great variety, and also options for those with allergies. Rooms were spacious, beds were comfortable and amenities were plentiful. Pool was heated, clean and a good size, but they did neglect to replenish the towels regularly towards the end of the day. I did observe what appeared to be blood on the bed skirt and paint peeling around the door of the closet, but the room was clean overall. The fire alarm also went off as we were packing to leave and we spent a half hour outside in the cold, but the staff came out with blankets for the kids which was nice! A little pricey, but mostly worth it!!

It was all good, just not for an extended stay with your PlayStation 4 because the television image mode will always default to Dynamic (insanely bright) after a few minutes regardless of your desired settings.

I stay here whenever I am in the HRM. There are other options close by, but this one is by far the best. The restaurant/lounge has excellent food and everything you need or want is nearby. The highway is easily accessible which makes commuting easier. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Excellent hotel ,beautiful clean rooms,great restaurant and bar,close to all the shopping you need, and a wonderful full breakfast menu starting at 6 am.Friendly staff at front desk and inside the restaurant areas.Hotel has a lot to offer for sure.If you have to go into Halifax early morning you best get an early start to beat the traffic though!! The hotel has a sign in lobby showing when the best and worse times are for traffic into the city.I would definitely stay here again for sure.Very easy to find once you take turnoff into Dartmouth crossings.

Best Western Dartmouth is a great hotel for anyone travelling for business. The staff are generally courteous and professional, and the location is great for anyone working in the Burnside area or wanting to explore Halifax as it is quite close by (just make sure you have some change on hand for the tolls). I was particularly pleased with my last visit as I had had a long day of driving, and upon arrival was surprised with a free room upgrade. Although it may have seemed like a small gesture, it really made all the difference for this work trip!

My family and I came here for an overnight before school started for a little getaway. It's a great spot. It's clean, is visually appealing and has a nice pool. The only thing that's negative about this spot is how It's not really close to anything but you can get to most of what you'd want to see within 10-15 mins drive.

We have walking trails just off Spectacle Lake which are great for a leisurely walk. Came into Halifax to a beautiful sunset and we were really excited to relax and see it from our hotel room. First of all the staff was great, hotel is ok. Rooms were ok, the floor had dips in it, almost like the padding was gone, under the carpet. So we get to our room and bam, no sunset, we had a wonderful view of a freaking wall two feet from our room. I don't think that you could've have purposely put us in the worst room in the hotel. i have to tell you after that it was all over, this was probably the worst view from a hotel that i have ever stayed in ...the walls are paper thin.

Situated in a semi-industrial area and is about 15-20 minutes across either toll bridge ($1.00 per trip) to Halifax. Not difficult to find. Typical room, comfy bed and pillows. WiFi. Good breakfast with scrambled eggs, meats.

I recently attended a wedding at this hotel and was pleasantly surprised by the meal. I am unable to eat gluten and I generally do not eat in restaurants for fear of becoming sick. At this wedding my server asked if anyone at my table had allergies. Of course I told him and, for the rest of the night, I was taken care of. Everything that came out of the kitchen for me was gluten free. From the delicious soup, to the main course and even a decadent chocolate dessert! It was so good I thought to myself that this couldn't possibly all have been gluten free and that I was probably going to have to leave early. I danced all night without any more worries. Kudos to the staff at the best western plus hotel. I loved it so much I have even checked out the regular menu at their restaurant and I plan to come back with my husband.

We selected this hotel because it had great reviews and was close to the airport at the end of our Nova Scotia vacation. Just want to let the hotel know how important it is to feel at home and be comfortable when traveling. When we checked in there were friendly smiling faces eager to help. Jackson was one of those. My wife and I stayed here during thanksgiving in a jacuzzi suite. The jacuzzi was great, fell asleep once in it. Room was very large, 3 times the room I'm in now. Room was very clean. Breakfast was good, lots to be had. Staff were very nice and helpful. The king bed was too firm and the pillows too thick . I was able to get thinner pillows but settle to try the bed a second night with new pillows and it wasn't any better. Too bad, next time I'll make sure it has a softer bed. All in all it wasn't too bad and the price was very reasonable.

Stayed here over the last weekend. Had a really clean room and the food in the restaurant was excellent. Would not say the same about my front desk interactions. From the day that I checked in until I left I had talked to the same lady. She was impolite and frankly didn't seem to care that I was staying there. I wasn't told about any of the amenities or even when breakfast was. It's quite bad when you have to do all that research on your own. The day I left I had a different lady and she was a delight compared to the first woman that I had spoken with on the first two afternoons previous. In the future maybe you could treat all of your guests with the same respect even if we don't look like we have a lot of money.

This restaurant is just great! Try the seafood medley! The banana bread pudding is to die for! I highly recommend this restaurant and Amy is a wonderful server! Can't wait for Thanksgiving Dinner there next Monday's!

I had good night overall as the bed was great but heating was tricky and a little noisy..Also, watch the price of beer in the restaurant.although the food was good. I loved the carrot ginger soup....and the waitress was A-1. The location is a little isolated and the view was of the parking lot. The price included breakfast which was just OK and selection limited.

The food and service in the restaurant is great. The cleaning staff does a great job and are very accommodating. The front desk staff have something to learn. Oct 1 and 2nd I have stayed here. Both days I have been served poorly by the same woman. I also had my credit card charged an extra 100 dollars in case of damage. I was not told about this when I checked in and when I asked about it she acted as if it was no big deal. Well it is when you Are not told about it and have no intention on harming your hotel room. Next time in Dartmouth I will be looking at other hotels who appreciate their customers.

Really impressed with the quality of staff and facilities. Three star prices for close to five star service. Clean, comfortable and friendly. The food in their restaurant was very good and it was nice to have a free breakfast that was not just continental. Angela, the lady on the desk arranged for my friend who was feeling quite ill in the morning to stay a little longer in the room. Just finished up a three week trip of the Maritimes, 16 different accommodations and this one overall impressed me the most!

Hotel was great. Internet super compare to other hotel. Breakfast lots of choice. Room was everything expected. Hot tub needs service and Pool area not that clean. Stayed at another hotel for one night , way trip went. That hotel was not good. Will stick to Best Western.

Nice hotel with a great buffet breakfast. Nice decor and clean! Would definately stay here again. Ask for a room on the 2nd floor and up...it seems as though the rooms are larger off the ground floor.

Very Convenient and quiet location close to Dartmouth Crossing as well as bridge to Halifax. Trendz restaurant serves great meals and is good value for money. Rooms are spotless and beds very comfortable. Good wireless internet service throughout the hotel.

Recently spent two nights here. We've been here before and will be back. As always we were greeted by friendly and helpful staff. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast offered lots of choice and a nice timeframe to enjoy it in. The hotel is located close to both MicMac Mall and Dartmouth Crossing and not a complicated drive into Halifax.

The hotel staff were very friendly however the room , which was listed as non smoking smelled!! It was very musty stale smell. The hallway smelled of smoke. The carpet was old and desperately needed to be replaced. The bed looked lumpy !!.. I could not stay there in that smell. The staff tried to find us another hotel as there were no other vacant rooms. I do not understand hotels allowing smoking in any rooms!!

We found this property to be comfortable, clean and appropriately priced. We were also pleased with the attached restaurant. After a long trip from Digby, it was good to be able to have dinner without driving.

How nice to be so close to Halifax yet have a wonderful quiet place to stay. The people that work here are friendly, helpful and caring. The free breakfast was very good with lots of choices and the dining room in the hotel had really good food and our waitress was a treasure. There is a work out room a pool and office facilities if needed.

We found our time here excellent, great attention to guests. Close to Halifax and other points of interest. Staff is very friendly, breakfast very good. Offer you opportunity as to when you want your room cleaned. When we were there, they were putting in new beds and brand new towels. Keeping everything up to date. Nice out door mall with lovely restaurants near by, where we tried out a few.

We did not stay here. We asked to see a room before we registered and it was a good thing we did. I have allergies and asthma and I'm very sensitive to chemical odours and any kind of smoke. The room we looked at and the hallway were not good enough for me to stay there. We chose the Best Western Chocolate Lake over this hotel and were very pleased (for the same price).

Good Day MarleneandMilan, I am sorry that you did not give our hotel a chance. Our hotel is 100% smoke free and we enforce this with a substantial fine if anyone violates it. We have regular guests, with allergies, that book ahead and we clean the room without chemicals. We have several different ways that we do this according to what our guests needs are. We even have special linens set aside for these guests. Instead of a low rating, I really wish you had informed the hotel of your allergies ahead of time and settled in a chemical free room that we would have had prepared for you. I know you would have enjoyed your stay. Ron

The room was comfortable and clean. As the hotel was completely booked, a sign by the elevators listed the best times to go to breakfast and not be too crowded, which was nice. Breakfast offerings were very good, both hot and cold. The property is close to shopping and restaurants.

After 10 days travelling through the lovely, rustic Cape Breton countryside, we were ready for a return to fast internet and cable TV. The BW Plus delivered in spades - modern, lusciously air-conditioned room, very fast internet, decent restaurant, pool and exercise room. Very refreshing!

Pool was out of service (only reason I booked there). Air conditioner was falling apart, service was not good at all ( I am 27 and they looked at me like I was a child ), didn't ask me how my stay was when I left, and he answered phone calls before assisting me in my check out so I was standing there waiting. And there was no fan in the bathroom?? Hard to get ready for work when the mirror is fogged up for 20 minutes. For the price I paid, I felt like I deserved a partial refund for not being able to take advantage of the pool.

Good Day Chad, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. We do not have fans in our washrooms as we have a central system for air circulation in our building. There is a vent in the bathroom that has a constant airflow as the building is pressurized. No noisy bathroom fans here. The pool was an unfortunate coincidence. We had an incident that was created by another guest that left us no choice but to dump the pool. It was out for two days while we refilled it and warmed it up. In the meantime we did offer guests free passes to a nearby facility. Some guests took advantage of this offer and some did not. We are sorry that you did not experience our hotel like the many others that have helped us become the number 1 hotel in Dartmouth on TripAdvisor. We assure you that this is an isolated incident. Nice place, clean, expected and got good service, nice breakfast but coffee/tea set up in the midst of everything so waited in line up for hot beverage. The only real issue was a really really loud air conditioner unit- my husband and I hardly slept (forgot my earplugs) and my husband can usually sleep though anything - because of this I wouldn't stay there again.

After investigating, we see no complaints about a noisy AC noted over the past couple of weeks. If reported, I am sure our maintenance staff would have fixed it immediately. This hotel looks pretty new. Nice and clean. And the staff is awesome. Room was clean - we had the 2 X Queen size. Pretty much had what a typical short stay hotel would have, though no microwave or small fridge. Had a coffee maker. Nice. Area was quiet. Had a great sleep. Beds comfy and the pillows good. Another plus to this, as with all the BW I have stayed at, was the free breakfast - well should I say "included breakfast". Nice selection. Hot breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, and the typical choice of breads and muffins, cereals, fruits, yogurt, and juices. Nice way to start the day. I would definitely stay here again.

The rooms are nice and the staff is good. Breakfast was decent - lots of choices. One complaint - our room did not have a microwave - something I wouldn't worry about normally but on this one occasion we needed one! Pool very 'green' but otherwise seemed okay -- and it was warmer than some pools we had been in on this trip!

This hotel has great employees and management. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. The layouts are nicely organized. We were there for different events and occasions and everyone goes above and beyond at all times so we can enjoy a wonderful experience. Plus, the restaurant has a diverse and delicious menu, including wine pairing. A gem close to fun shopping destinations and other good spots. Also, this hotel is close to the airport. Thanks to all!

this hotel is the best I've never stayed at!!! Food is crazy, restaurant is more than a 5star, and with and excellent service. Very very clean and tidy. Spacious room and the beds are just awesome, you sleep as if you were in a cloud. Service at the reception is quick and people are very friendly, you feel like home. I recommend this hotel if you want to relax and do not want to worry about anything. Everything is being taken care of. Can't wait to go back.

The Best Western Plus in Dartmouth was an attractive hotel. My children made good use of, and enjoyed the pool and the gym. The staff at the Best Western Plus were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, courteous and professional. We found the rooms to be very comfortable, especially the beds. The rooms were also very clean. It was great to be able to control the temperature of the room. We really enjoyed having a bar fridge in each room, as it allowed us to buy snacks, and lunch items, which in turn allowed us to save money that we were able to use on enjoying our vacation more. This was a major receive for us choosing the Best Western Plus. It was great to have a large desk with a comfortable chair to sit at when we were using our computers, as well as a cozy reading chair. It was also very nice having a t.v. with multiple channels for our relaxing time before bed. The cleaning staff were amazing, so very friendly without being intrusive. The only things we would like to see added to this wonderful experience would be a change of breakfast items. It was hard eating the same things for five days in a row. It would have been nice to perhaps switch out a couple of things, and perhaps add pancakes and bacon. The only thing that needs to be added to the bathroom is perhaps an exhaust fan. The bathroom steamed up quickly after one shower. Overall, it was a wonderful, worry fear, relaxing stay, that I would very much enjoy repeating in the future.

Stayed here a few years ago and it's only gotten better. Staff were great with directions and asking how our day was when we got back each day. The kids swam in the pool that was crystal clear and clean. Beds were comfy and it was like the linens were new. Soft towels too. Breakfast had everything you could want and was fresh. Nothing microwaved or premade. My wife has allergies so the server got her fresh eggs to avoid any cross contamination. Amazing service. All round a great hotel with a great restaurant too. Will be back if we are down this way.

Booked late after a good chunk of driving from PEI, absolutely zero problems getting 4 adults and 4 young adults checked in. Actually double teamed the paperwork and and keys for us. The attached lounge was cozy and pours an honest drink. Kids hit the pool and we were able sit down in a tranquil setting and quietly review the trip so far. Well done BW Dartmouth, hope we get to see you again.

Wonderful place to stay! Clean great location!! Service was great. Close to the halifax waterfront . Not far from peggy's cove, Annapolis valley. I would recommend this hotel to anyone heading to Nova scotia.

Overall good value from this hotel. We used it as a base for day trips in and around the Halifax area. Had good access to the highway, but is located in an industrial area so you need to drive everywhere from the hotel. Good breakfast and very helpful staff.

We enjoyed our stay, and the rooms were very quiet for a full house. The complimentary hot breakfast was excellent, but the area was a bit cramped when it was very busy. We also enjoyed the in house restaurant. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Loads of parking also. We would stay again.

Stayed for two nights with family while I was on business. Hotel had everything a family could need. Lots of variety with breakfast and overall very tasty. Room was large and beds comfortable. Upgrade on the tv would be my only suggestion for improvement. Kids loved the warm pool and made use of the restaurant on site which my picky daughter thought was great. Not a whole lot within walking distance would be the only major drawback.

my wife and I decided to take a mini shopping trip to Halifax/Darmouth for some shopping and decided to stay here. Check it was fast. Our room was very clean and quiet. Bed was comfortable. I used the pool in the morning it was great. 6ft deep in the deeper end and 3.5ft in the shallow end, would be perfect for any family as well as business. Breakfast was very good in the morning had Waffles, Eggs, Sausage, hash browns, Toast, Yogurt and Eggs. A lot of people there but the area was big and people were moving at a good pace. Shopping was very close, Darmouth Crossing and the Mic Mac mall were not too hard to find either. (used a gps) but they were close. Also the Free Wifi worked pretty good overall. I would stay here again in the future for sure

Stayed here while visiting the area & some family. We used it as a middle spot after visiting Hope Well Rocks & then staying here to go to Peggy's Cove. Then we couldn't get a second night so moved on to Lunenburg & then back the next night to stay here for two more nights to visit Halifax. Loved that they had on site laundry. The restaurant was a bit pricey but food & service was good. It was great to have breakfast included.

Had a great stay here. Staff were friendly, rooms were spacious and very clean. No noise in the evenings from other guests enabled us to sleep well! Breakfast was included - lots of selection in terms of hot and cold foods (cereals, breads, yogurt, fruit, scrambled eggs, sausages and ham). Loved that they open up the whole restaurant area to allow guests ample seating for breakfast. The staff in the mornings were kept on their toes, it was a busy spot for breakfast and they kept everything well stocked and tables cleared. Most impressed! Very close to a major shopping area with restaurants/ Walmart/ Cineplex and other stores, only around the corner less than 5 mins away. A good choice in terms of being close to those areas yet still only about a 15 min drive to downtown area or even closer to Dartmouth crossing for some shopping. Kids loved the pool. It was an average size, only downfall was the small room and the strong chlorine smell as a result, even with all the windows open!

Hotel is very nice and clean! Pool was super warm kids loved it. Breakfast was good. Overall great experience will definitely consider staying there again in the future. Not that far from Mic Mac mall. A few restaurants near by. We didn't try the hotel restaurant but it looked nice.

The hotel rooms and staff were great but the Trendz Restaurant and Bar lacked staff for the amount of competitors (300 plus family members) and their needs on a daily/nightly bases. The meals are good and the breakfast is usual but they were extremely under staffed. The Trendz restaurant also did the banquet and the meal was just basic but ok. I would stay again as the rooms designs vary and it is clean.

we stayed here last year and decided to stay here again this year. just as clean and quiet as before. lots of parking and great room service. there is walking trail right besides the hotel. the pool is right by the lobby.

We went to Nova Scotia and booked in this Best Western Plus. I can say that this hotel and Restaurant rank in the top 10% of all of the hotels we have stayed at in both the US and Canada. Service was outstanding, food and wine was exceptional. The people could not have been nicer. We liked this hotel so much we will book here again next summer. Centrally located to sights, history and shopping.

Always enjoy our stays at the Best Western. Really felt like home. Everything we needed was right there to make for a relaxing stay. I have a hard time sleeping away from home and can honestly say I had a very restful and comfortable sleep both nights. We had the King Suite which made it great for our daughter to enjoy some privacy of her own. Looking forward to our next stay.

Love this hotel, friendly staff, free WIFI, great tv's in the rooms and lots of plugs, something I always look for in the rooms :). Rooms are very spacious and sparkling clean. Only thing I found was the restaurant is a little pricey!

A very nice 3 star hotel. It's located about 25 mins from the airport in the Burnside Industrial area. Fairly new with nice, large rooms, clean and hygenic. Staff is very friendly. The hotel is also a convenient 2.5km (5 min) drive to Dartmouth Crossing Shopping Centre and easy access to main highways. Of note, the hotel was packed with families and many, many noisy kids. However, up on the 4th floor we didn't hear a thing. Very quiet. Nice sleep. The restaurant (Trendz) is well reviewed on TripAdvisor and Yelp. While the hot breakfast is very good, the layout is awkward and crowded in the peak season - it can be chaotic.

My husband and I took a week's vacation to visit friends in Dartmouth. We booked into the Best Western Plus Dartmouth Hotel & Suites. We had the most wonderful experience, we dined every night in the hotel restaurant the food was delicious and the drinks were fun. I can't say enough about how special the hotel staff were they made us feel like family. We were treated so well lots of laughter. The rooms were clean and spacious we woke up every morning feeling refreshed, ready to begin our day. The complimentary breakfast each morning was plentiful and ever so yummy. I would highly recommend this hotel to any tourist visiting Nova Scotia you will be treated with kindness and you will go away with a feeling of having had a nice stay this is definitely my new hotel of choice from now on.

I called your front desk and explained that I wanted to book 2 rooms but since we did not own a credit card, I was going to use one of a family relative. The clerk said it was no problem, that I would not need to present the card at check in and that we could pay damage deposit with cash. Well I booked the two rooms and when I got there they would not let us have our rooms without the actual credit card. We were very displeased since we drove 200 miles to get there and did not really bring any extra cash to pay the hotel. We mentioned going somewhere else and the clerk said that she would like for us to stay there but if we wanted to we could go look somewhere else because there was nothing she could do for us. What hotel sends a customer to a competition hotel. We paid cash, using funds that we were not prepared to spend there making us short on funds. The only thing she offered was not to charge a damage deposit on one room which is our money that we got back anyhow so we did not get any cut or discount for the miscommunication. Other than that you hotel is nice and we loved it there but not likely to go again because of the problem checking in.

This is my new go to hotel in the Dartmouth area. The property is quiet and seems secluded even though it is off a busy area. The staff are welcoming and accommodating; always quick to help in whatever way they can. The property is very clean. The rooms are very comfortable and the beds and pillows are super cozy. I like that the cups and glasses in room are disposable so I have one less thing to worry about while traveling. The pool is small but we were alone in it most times so it really wasn't an issue. Fitness room is also small but the equipment is in working order. The hot breakfast was very good and the restaurant and catering serves really nice food cooked well.

We love staying at the Dartmouth Best Western Plus. When we called to book Loni and Jackson were extremely accommodating and helpful. Our room was big and the beds are extremely comfortable, as promised. Megan and Sabdan greeted us almost daily and sometimes gave us the best cookies ever! The breakfast was terrific and the girls that served us on weekday mornings could not have been nicer. We feel more like long lost friends than hotel guests. Our son-in-law had a celiac diet request and the chef came out to greet him and then prepared a complimentary celiac friendly breakfast everyday...complete with wrapped silverware. Great job folks. We stayed for 8 nights and left at 05:30am early one morning. Richard at the front desk sent us on our way back to Ontario with coffee, breakfast bars and juice because we were too early for the hotel breakfast. Does it get any better? The hotel is located in a peaceful, natural setting with a lake and trail right across the street. That being said it is also very conveniently located by Dartmouth Crossing stores. Our two favourites, Costco and WalMart are less than a five minute drive. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The only suggestion I would have is that all teams and groups be put in rooms far from other guests...especially guests with small children needing to sleep.

This seemed like a good place to stay before our early flight. At 11 pm we could feel the bass from the party 4 floors below. After our second call the bass was turned down to where we could only hear it, not feel it. At 1 am the party was over & we could all sleep. Great room, nice exercise room, good breakfast, convenient 20 minutes to airport, lovely staff and we will NEVER stay there again.

Great hotel, the food was amazing and service was great. The only thing that could of been better was the breakfast area in the morning, there was a large crowd and the layout didn't seem to work for the crowd and there were no utensils. Seemed like one lady was trying to handle it all. Other than that it was all excellent.

This hotel is terrific! It is well located, quiet and the staff are fabulous. There was a good selection of food for breakfast and coffee pods are always available at the front desk. They even had cookies in the afternoon. The indoor pool is a nice warm temperature. Our room was large with a comfortable king size bed. Our only complaint was lumpy pillows which was rectified by Sara in housekeeping with a smile.

Enjoyed our stay. Watch out for shady cab drivers (not hotel's fault). Beds were comfortable....so comfortable, slept in much longer than anticipated after wake up call. Didn't try the breakfast, but usually never have a bad experience at the Best Western chain of hotels

This BW Plus seemed newer than average, and bigger too. Large room with office desk was fabulous. FAST wifi. Plenty of parking. Hot breakfast bar nicer than average. Two things to note: first be aware they are militant about stopping breakfast at 09:00. Only God knows why?! Second, its located in a commercial area. But has very easy access to downtown Halifax in 5 minutes.

After a long day of travel flying to Halifax, we were very pleasantly surprised by this quiet location and comfortable hotel. The beds were comfortable, the room was spacious and spotless. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fresh made and quite. This hotel is not in a major tourist area, so it was a taxi ride away from where we wanted to go for those activities.

These guys were amazing for our day trip to dartmouth - their beds were so comfy that my daughter and i didn't want to get out of them - the pool was beautiful - their free breakfast was second to none - everything from apples down to gluten free cereal - the customer service was just awesome - would definitely go back - it is also literally 5-10 minute drive to everything - price was right as well

We stayed for 2 nights, June 7&8th 2016. We found it to be a very convenient location. Staff was very friendly and courteous. I would like to give a kudos to the girl I think her name was Wendy. She was taking care of the breakfast that was included with our stay. She went out of her way to make sure we were happy and full ? The room was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the swimming pool as well. I would stay here again and would recommend this hotel.

Hotel décor is mostly dark colors (institutional steel grays and other drab colors). Found it dark and depressing. Staff was professional but not welcoming. Was disappointed with my stay. Would not pick this hotel for future stays.

This was a weekend get away with my spouse. The large room was very clean and spacious. The breakfast selection was good. The downfall, is something important considering the purpose of staying at a hotel is that the mattress was very uncomfortable. I mentioned it to the person at the front desk after the first night and they did not offer any suggestions. As a result sleep eluded my wife for two nights (I can sleep on a pile of bricks). They should consider something a little softer going forward.

Great place to stay, clean, friendly and hospitable. Situated in beautiful countryside amongst the greens. The short taxi ride from Town is the only downside as can be a little costly great if you have your own car.

I stayed here for 5 nights recently on a work trip. Pros: - Hotel location is good - In the industrial park close to most major businesses - Fresh, CLEAN rooms and property - Really comfy beds - lots of outlets for charging near the nightstand which was very convenient - Big desk with a good chair was useful for completing work - Accommodating and friendly staff (allowed some coworkers a late check out with no problem) - Nice complimentary breakfast - Hot food rather than just continental was a treat - Restaurant food was tasty - Try the lobster poutine! Cons: - Coffee machine in the room was slow and a little outdated (coffee was available at breakfast and in the lobby at all times which made up for this somewhat) - People in the next room and hallways could be easily heard even when only speaking in a normal tone so privacy felt a little compromised - A few more menu options in the restaurant would have been nice! Overall, very pleasant stay - Would definitely recommend.

We recently had to spend a night in Dartmouth and once again chose the Best Western because of location, free parking, fair room rates and included free hot breakfast. Close to Dartmouth crossing or Burnside park and a couple minutes from the Halifax bridges.We enjoyed a couple drinks in the lobby bar and had great breakfast in the morning with lots of good choices!!

We like staying here mainly because the rooms are very quiet, you don't hear elevator noise or people using the stairs. The rooms are very clean wirh comfortable beds. A complementary breakfast is served; good food and a really nice dining area. Very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Very nice place to stay, close to everything. Very friendly staff that will go out of their way for you. I really like the ground floor and now when i go back there they will know that i would prefer a room on the ground floor. We usually stay at the Best Western's when we travel. Our first night here - they put us on the ground floor - handicap room. No big deal. We had been traveling for a few hours, first stop was the bathroom. I feel, the floor was slippery as though some one sprayed something on it. I screwed up my back (which isn't the healthiest to begin with) I couldn't move for the rest of the evening. we ordered room service my husband got the "JUMBO shrimp" (it was 3 tiny shrimps) when we asked about it, they said "Oh it goes by weight" WHAT???? whatever! I'm not happy, and I'm in pain.The bed was horrible, the room was dark and to top it off. there was a conference. so... I didnt sleep well, 2 hours at most.... @7 am sharp we hear cackling right outside our door. we requested to be moved. When I told them I feel, they offered to get me a hot water bottle. I'm sure they fear a law suit. I wont stay here again. Its not worth the money, the restaurant sucks

Staff: Friendly Amenities: Pool, fitness room, bar/restaurant--with very friendly servers and good nachos! Area: Close to a big mall, very quiet, with enclosed areas for smokers Room: Fantastic! Separate bedroom which is great when someone wants to sleep and someone wants to watch TV. TV in each room. The "living room" is quite comfortable. Beds were really comfortable, but, and this is the only negative I have, the pillows were very uncomfortable.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this location. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and beds comfy. Breakfast was tasty and lots available...even though there were a few hockey teams staying there...lots of selection and fully stocked. Never had any issues with noise from above mentioned sports teams. Great night sleep, will definitely recommend to anyone who asks.

Lots of pro's for this hotel. Free parking, good breakfast, big rooms, quiet, and has a very friendly staff. But I found the Internet slow. The view from my room was literally a brick wall. The fitness room was beat up, outdated and very simple. And you have to walk past the restaurant and into the lobby to get to the pool, which I found strange. But overall, a good Stay. Clean rooms, nice atmosphere all around and a pretty fair price. Would stay again.

I staid here for only one night as I had a two day trip for work. This was my first stay at this hotel. Excellent location that is easy to get to. The price was decent and the room was very large and clean. Nice desk with ethernet cable available which I found worked better than the wifi which I did find to drop out a few times. I found the employees to be very helpful and friendly as well. There was a large hockey tournament with lots of children who were probably around 10 or so, so occasionally there were times where there were kids running around the halls but in general it stayed quiet and a very good experience. I suspect any other time it would have been even better, but that is nothing against the hotel, it's just the nature of having a few hundred kids running who are bored. I would- and have already suggested your hotel to other people. Will definitely be back.

I stayed here back in July of 2015. The hotel was very clean and quiet. There was honestly nothing wrong with the hotel at all! The room was very large with a flat screen tv and a desk! In addition, there was a nice sized gym that was empty any time I went! I would recommend this hotel for business. It is located very close to a lot of businesses. There is also free parking!

I spend a lot of time in hotels visiting my grandson. We try a new hotel each visit. I was very impressed with how clean this hotel is. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable, staff was very accommodating, Room could have used 2 chairs or a sofa instead of a huge desk. Restaurant was fabulous both for lunch and dinner. Good meeting facility. Located in a business area.

We stayed here for 2 days. Honestly, VERY clean, comfortable and friendly. The cleaning staff were fabulous and friendly. The wine at the wine bar is CRAZY priced, but very good. Service is fab there. Continental breakfast was MORE than the average hotel; bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, eggs etc... all very well put together and flavourful. Hats off to the woman with the short hair who was shutting down the breakfast, and made a point to approach us and say, "Listen, I'm shutting down the breakfast as it's over now, but please come help yourself and make yourself at home"... she went out of her way, and she deserves a gold star for that client interaction. It was refreshing to have such a positive interaction with her in this day and age. I'd totally stay there again; absolutely.

Staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. However, we didn't receive the room amenities we booked originally (microwave), and we had music blasting (you could literally sing along) a good part of the night from below us in the auditorium - we requested a quiet room. Therefore, our 2 year old never slept, which meant we never slept. The sink faucet handle came off in my hand, and the toilet seat didn't fit properly, so every time you sat down, it would slide off the rim. lol The free breakfast was really tasty, but there wasn't enough utensils and no napkins.

We stayed here for two nights in early October. The hotel is clean, comfortable and friendly. The rooms are quiet and spacious with comfortable beds and good bathroom amenities. A basic hot buffet breakfast was included--scrambled eggs, sausages, cereal, etc--though the room where it is laid out is very small. Breakfast seating is in the bar area and some of the breakfast items are actually to be found on the bar itself, which is a bit confusing. There's also very good coffee in the lobby. The in-house restaurant is good. The hotel itself is situated in an industrial/business area which empties out at night, so there isn't much else around. It was also difficult for us to find it coming off the highway, even with GPS.

For the most part this is sufficient seating for our hotel but from time to time every seems to be hungry at the same time. We make sure that we are fully staffed and suggest to anyone that cannot find somewhere to sit that they chat with a staff member and we'll find somewhere for them. Best Western can be relied upon for a clean and comfortable stay. Trenz Restaurant provides a great selection of food ..all deliciously prepared and presented and right onsite for convenience. It is a 5 min drive from the shopping at Dartmouth Crossing and also 5 minutes from the new Trampoline Park on Wireless Rd in Dartmouth. Good pool and fitness center onsite.

Staff were very friendly! Food at the restaurant is amazing! I took my dinner and breakfast there! I highly recommend that you try their sea food soup! Room are clean and bed very comfortable! I will definitely good back!

I had a very pleasant, enjoyable stay at BW Plus in Dartmouth. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the staff makes you feel at home there. The hot breakfast is certainly a plus and was very good. I would certainly recommend this hotel will return upon my visit to Dartmouth in the future. Great job BW!!

The breakfast is much better than most hotels, the breakfast is hot but also offers many other choices. The family slept so well on the super comfortable beds. The room was spacious enough for a family of 4. The heated pool was enjoyed by all.

this is a great location and property i use it lots. the rooms are clean the hotel is quiet, breakfast is included and it has lots of parking available. its easy to take a taxi or the ferry over to Halifax and relatively inexpensive

Updated decor, nice price, large room, comfortable beds and furniture in room, the breakfast buffet was excellent given that it was included, friendly staff, plenty of parking, great location for Halifax/Dartmouth if you have a car, quiet stay. The bathroom floor was like walking on ice and the lighting in the bathroom was really harsh (bright white). Towels seemed new and plush. Overall we were very happy and if we were in the area again in future with family we would stay again.

Have used this hotel numerous times for business meetings, training and events. Superb on all occasions. It is a hidden gem in the restaurant and bar; incredible consistent yummy food at every visit. All the staff are outstanding and go above and beyond. Worth the visit if you have travels to Dartmouth or want a dinner out.

Booking the room was seamless, check-in was very easy, rates were competitive, used my CAA rate plus got Best Western loyalty points, room was very comfortable, fitness room right across the hall although I didn't use. Also has a pool which I've used in the past. Missed out on the complimentary breakfast, although one of the girls on the front desk said I could've ordered off the menu and it would've been complimentary.

WE got this hotel for an awesome low price and were delighted when we checked in and the front desk staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Upon arrival into our room we immediately noticed the fresh smell and the absolute cleanliness of our room. In our room we even had a fridge! Beds were nice and comfy and pillows plentiful. WE visited the pool area where we took a swim, the pool was amazing and nice and warm, fresh towels are provided poolside which is a nice touch. Parking here at this hotel is plentiful. While this hotel is not pet friendly (sadly had to leave doggies home) this was the only downside. A hot breakfast is provided til 9am on weekdays for FREE...amazing. WE will def be booking this hotel again, VERY happy!

Great Hotel in Nova Scotia. Friendly staff. Room was nice and beds and pillows comfortable. There was a hockey tournament in town and the staff made sure to put me in a quite section of hotel. Would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I stayed at the Best Western, Dartmouth, from November 23-25. From the moment we walked in the front door, to the day we checked out, we were treated like family. The staff were very riendly, always pleasant and helpful. The room was spotless. The bed very comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was a bonus. What a lovely feature! There was also a 4 piece bathroom in the room. The room was large and well appointed. We ate at the restaurant and the food was superb. As well, there was a complimentary hot buffet breakfast every morning. The staff treated everyone like life-long friends. Room service was prompt. The food was always hot and delicious. What an atmosphere. My husband has to be in Halifax frequently for medical reasons and this will be the hotel of our choice. We have tried other hotels over the past year, but none even came close to the experience we had at the Best Western. Congratulations to the Management and staff who run the hotel, you are doing it right!! I now know why the hotel is booked to capacity. Why would anyone go anywhere else!!

really nice hotel, we go there every time we have to go to IWK hospital. You could almost walk to Dartmouth Crossings where there is a ton of store, shops and restaurants. There is a really nice pool, the hotel is clean and beautiful. The free hot breakfast, buffet-style is always a nice way to start the day. We highly recommend it!

Just spent 15 nights here for work. The staff, service, restaurant, rooms and location makes this BW the best one I have ever stayed in. there is also a full hot buffet breakfast included in your stay.

Had a great stay at BW in Dartmouth. Service and amenities were great. The location was very convienent. The added bonus was the excellent hot breakfast buffet. I would certainly recommend this hotel. Great job BW!!

Checked in to B/W Darthmouth on sat nov 14and was told we were booked for the previous day, booked on line, Fri in halifax and sat in darthmouth.The lady at the front desk said no problem as this happens from time to time and she corrected the reservation.As always is a great place to stay,and the buffet breakfast was excellent.We were not impressed with a gentleman working in the bar we requested a couple of glasses for some drinks in our room , he gave us a couple of wine glasses we asked for a beer glass instead ,he said NO all we could have was the wine glass?????and he was quite rude. We have stayed in a lot of hotels over the years and this is the first time this has ever happened. I guess one bad apple does not reflect on the rest of a great staff.

Wonderful place to stay. Beds are really comfortable, food is excellent and location is top notch. Stayed on Halloween and was fun to see the staff dressed up and pleased that we did not experience any negative experiences.

Nice spot. The staff were friendly, the hotel is clean, what more do you need? Wifi worked fine, no cutting out like some places. Food in the restaurant was good, but the breakfast is a self serve deal, which is ok. Perfect location in terms of shopping. I'd stay here again.

I used stay this hotel when I visit to purchase supplies from Halifax for my business and I was always delighted with their service and nice atmosphere they provide. I was really impressed with their breakfast like home made potato. It was fresh and delicious. Staffs were kind and really helpful too. I love to stay at this hotel

This has been our favorite place to stay in when visiting the Halifax and Dartmouth area. Hotel location is close to the main highway from airport and convenient and timely to access. Friendly and professional staff. We absolutely love the restaurant and lounge areas. Food menu is outstanding; had the seafood chowder on several visits.

Very nice hotel, comfortable, clean, excellent restaurant and helpful, friendly staff. One complaint, there were 3 of us so we had to use the pull out couch , absolutely terrible mattress, extremely uncomfortable. They really could use new mattresses or pull out beds. My husband and I stumbled upon this hotel after a long day of driving. We had been driving for over 8 hours and were too tired to go into Halifax, so we decided to stop here for the night. Great decision! Our room was clean, comfortable and QUIET! It is in a bit of an industrial park, but it had its own restaurant called TrendZ which was excellent.Nice surprise! We were very glad we found it. Close to shopping in Dartmouth and just a short ride into Halifax. Would highly recommend it.

Hotel is comfortable enough for a short stay. People are pleasant enough, food quality is average & choice quickly exhausted if you're staying more than a couple of days. Far better to head out to a good restaurant Place looks modern outside but decor is dated as are the facilities. Hotel looks as though it could do with a makeover... of days

Went to Halifax for a family matter. We were 5 in the room. Staff very helpful in making our stay pleasant. Very clean and room large enough for our group. Overall we were very satisfied. Hot breakfast included for price of room. Had difficulty with WIFI but staff were very helpful in getting issue resolved.

This hotel was the usual BW Plus standard. We were only there for the night before flying out, but as usual the room was nice and comfortable, had a great sleep! The only bad thing was the location, in an industrial park, not really close to anything.
