Best Western Plus North Shore Hotel

We stayed 4 nights here, and when you stay 4 nights in a hotel: you find things to complain about..... but not here. Every person who worked at the hotel had a nice attitude and a smile. They granted my request for a first-floor room (a LOT of hotels do not honor such a simple request), and the room was actually oversized - not that that is a bad thing. The building designers had the EASY opportunity to enlarge the bathroom, but they did not. So, the bathroom was way undersized (no way 2 people could be in there together), however adequate for what you need - including a large countertop. The exhaust fan did work well, and there is a defogger built-in inside the mirror, so it was useable right after the shower. Simple & brilliant feature that other hotels should utilize. There is a LARGE dining room for breakfast, and it is very well stocked all morning long by a full-time attendant. They even had bacon every other day, which is something I rarely see in "free breakfast" stay hotels. There were a few groups of people staying here, but we never felt the larger groups were loud or taking up too much space. You hardly knew they were there, even though one of the groups had special permission to utilize the dining room for their own dinner party. The AC unit is one of those mounted thru the wall under the window; but the thermostat was wall mounted and worked very well. A bit noisy - but these AC units are always like that. If there was anything to complain about - I would say they needed newer full-bodied pillows, as the pillows in our room were too soft (or maybe just worn out). This one thing was not worth deducting one star in my rating, as everything else at this facility was done very well.

I stayed here last year with my family of four and really enjoyed the hotel. I went back in July this year with friends. Staff were very friendly and rooms were clean. We really enjoyed the breakfast. Location is great if travelling to Salem or Boston. Planning another stay in October. This will be my go to hotel from now on.

We were staying there for 8 nights for the World Cup matches in Foxborough and participating in the TA invasion of Boston. Firstly, the staff were very nice and helpful. There was a small selection of snacks, soft drinks and micro wave meals at reception and a lounge area which had a tv with some soft seating which was used late into the evening to watch some of the later games. The hotel has no bar but seemed relaxed about residents taking in both alcohol and food carry outs. There was 2 lifts but unfortunately one was out of order throughout our stay but it didn't seem to result in wait delays. The rooms were large with in our rooms 2 large double beds (much to our relief!) along with a reasonably sized bathroom with over the bath shower. Along with the tv there was a fridge, microwave and coffee machine although we only used the fridge to cool water down. On the corridor there was an ice machine which came in handy given the temperatures although the air conditioning was very good if a wee bit noisy. There is a swimming pool etc in the basement area but we never used it so can't comment on it. Breakfast was on offer on a buffet/self service. It was fairly ordinary with some hot plates with usually bacon, sausage, fried potatoes and egg of some sort and cereal, bread products etc. It was a bit basic with plastic cutlery, paper plates, plastic cups but did a job. Secondly, the hotel well away from other facilities such as bars, restaurants or public transport. However, there was an Italian bar/ restaurant which was an awkward 10 minute walk (as you had to walk around the hotel and up the road into their rear back car park) which was good but stopped serving food by 9pm and the bar about 10pm (and earlier if not busy). The waitress we had was absolutely first class and a regular customer bought us drinks re a Scottish connection). One of the nearest towns is Danvers (about 10 mins away by Uber) which had a fabulous Pub 49 which couldn't have been more welcoming and it had a good number of other restaurants. Salem is just a few miles away from here. The whole area felt very safe. Overall the hotel was great for us and despite being some 30 minutes from downtown Boston, Ubers were quick to attend and very reasonably priced.

The BW+ Danvers, Mass was very convient as it was just off I95 on the North Shore. It was a nice place with polite staff and lots of lugage carts. My wife and I are both mildly handy-capped. I let the BW+ reservations people know but they seem not to have communicated this to Danvers. They gave us a regular room. It was clean enough but it was missing an exhaust vent in the bathroom, it did not have a Hair Dryer and we had to send down for a TV channel changer. The Breakfast was good - But - every time we wanted Hot Water for coffee or tea, I had to go out to the main lobby because the breakfast room coffee/hot water machine was broken. Also, one of the two elevators was broken. This made for the occasional line. They probably have everything fixed by now(I Hope). Regards, Oldebear

We stayed here the first time we ever visited Danvers and was great, a few years later we stayed again and it was horrible and vowed never to stay again, but due to travel times it was best available for this trip. It was truly great to see a turn around to how it was the first ever time and new staff have made a huge difference. Staff were all super friendly and seeing them dressed up and in characters for Halloween day was wonderful. Breakfast was typical Best Western and choice for all. Only downside is the sunshine shining in the seating area can get super hot. Also post food there sometimes is not a good clean of the seating area and we saw couple of times same food on floor the next day or tables with spillages that had not been cleared up the next day. That's just one thing that just frustrated us and should really be addressed. Bedrooms were clean and tidy and serviced every day we were there to a great standard. Plenty of parking space and good drop off area. Gardens are well kept so grounds staff work hard. Didn't use the pool or gym this time but looked well kept. We used the laundry and when found a fault with a tumble dryer the staff quickly sorted and dried our clothes for us and put them back in our room. Such thoughtful. Well done on turning this hotel around and will definitely stay again.

We often come into the northshore area to visit family. In searching for a better option of a hotel than the ones we typically have stayed at, we found this hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by the location being more quiet than typical for that area. The hotel was clean, the staff very pleasant and customer oriented, the complimentary breakfast offered a wide variety and was always stocked well, and the rooms are cleaned each day without having to ask. My daughter and I felt safe throughout our stay even in the parking lot at night when we returned. We will come back to this hotel again and again because it was a great experience.

We stayed here two nights before a cruise to see Salem. It was a very affordable and close option. We were greeted with friendly service from Bob, had a clean and comfortable room, good breakfast options. Only a 15 minute drive to Salem. I would highly recommend this property.

Best Western Plus North Shore Hotel- Danvers MA This Best Western was excellent for those with a budget in mind. Nothing too fancy but it is in a safe location, well- lit free outside parking area, free WiFi and complimentary breakfast. The staff was very friendly. My husband & I were greeted with a smile by Rueben at front desk reception area. He was very personable and I got the sense that he enjoys the hospitality industry and is able to solve and accommodate the many requests and questions the guests of a lively 400+ room hotel might have. His brother Oliver, who keeps the breakfast area spotless, replenishes the bagels, English muffins, coffee station, yogurts, fruits, cereals etc. was very easy to talk to. You can tell that great pride is taken in caring for the large space. We stayed during a very busy October weekend, with many families heading to the Haunted Happenings in Salem MA and the Topsfield Fair. The lobby was decorated so cute for the season with so many non-spooky themes sprinkled on doorways and ceilings and windows…no jump scares! The bed was super comfy with 2 pillows each for the King size bed and a well-controlled heating unit. The hotel has a “quiet time” policy for noise after 10 PM so it was very quiet and much appreciated since this is one of the "go to" hotels for those going to the North Shore for tourism. The location in Danvers is very good for those with a car...not a walkable area but it has easy access to Route 1, Rt 128 and Rt 95. I felt safe and secure with the well lit premises and my husband and I both felt it was safe enough to leave my shopping purchases in the locked car. Don't forget to use your AAA card to save 10% or better yet become a member and get their best rate and some extra perks.

Hotel is perfectly located for day trips into Salem! Super clean hotel with a great breakfast buffet. Lots of choices each morning and well stocked. Excellent customer care at front desk...in fact all the staff was super cordial. Nicely decorated for the Halloween season!

Loved staying here! Staff were really kind. Very comfortable beds. Large room with refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave. Room and common areas were spacious and clean. Elevator was small though. There were a lot of services available. Location was excellent. Would stay again!

We needed a local hotel while work was being done in our home. I read reviews of many local hotels and many sounded pretty bad. I also know many have been used over the last couple years to house migrant families. Before booking i went to the BW to check it out and asked a few people who were leaving how it was. They said it was very good, clean, and has great breakfast options. They were right! Our room was bright, clean,and huge. Common areas are modern and inviting. Breakfast was excellent. Staff efficient and kind.

I would recommend this hotel for anyone that wants to visit the Boston/North Shore area of Mass. This hotel is in a convenient location- not far from all of the popular vacation sites, tourist attractions and beaches. The facility was very clean. Their included hot breakfasts every morning were good- food was hot and fresh, with a wide selection so there is something for everyone. Cold breakfast foods, fruit and yogurt also available. In the lobby there is 24 hour complimentary coffee and hot tea- I need my caffeine! I did not use the indoor pool or exercise room, but the facilities looked nice and clean, with good variety of exercise equipment. My only problem was that the WiFi was really slow in my room. My family was pleased and pleasantly surprised - I was in charge of finding the lodging, and they all gave me props! So many places look good online, but are horrible in person. This one was accurate, thank goodness!

Difficult to find, the GPS didn't help too much. The rooms were a little small and the doors open up to the inside of the bathroom so you'll get hit by the door if someone opens it. Floors are slippy pool is very slippy.

Wonderful vacation here! We stayed 3 nights while visiting Salem and Boston. Our room was stellar: super clean, comfy beds, and the hotel staff is professional, knowledgeable and friendly. We did not visit the breakfast buffet but the coffee was hot and fresh. Highly recommend for the value and the experience!

This hotel was great! Very clean and the breakfast area is really large to accommodate everyone. The food was very good, they even make sure to have all the extras there, like a yogurt machine from a local creamery. Will stay here again if in the area.

This is a top notch hotel in many respects. For the price point, you won't find a better value in the area. Great staff, and always helpful. The breakfast was decent, with ample seating, and spotless. There is plenty of handicapped parking level with the hotel entrance. The turn for the hotel entrance comes quick. You'll want to be alert to it.

The room we were assigned had a used syringe in it, and the bedwas poorly made up. The reception came to take away the syringe and make the bed. We were offered a different room but decided to stay as our family was in the adjoining room. The other aspects of the hotel were OK. But for a total of nearly $500 per night (including fees ) it was an expensive stay . There was no offer of a discount or ponts for the room being less than welcoming. The reception photographed the syringe.

Very well run hotel. Liked the microwave and refrigerator in the room. Plenty of parking, including up front parking for diamond members. Internet was fine, breakfast was fine, the usual BW fare, also plenty of room in the dining area. Noontime checkout I like. Beds were comfortable. Excellent housekeeping. 20 minutes or so to Salem, location was fine

Great hotel to travel into Salem. Free parking and an easy 15-20 minute trip to downtown. It definitely exceeded my expectations. Very clean, friendly staff, and wonderful breakfast. The heated pool was also nice after a long day of walking. I recommend this hotel over the more expensive options and would definitely stay again!

Best hotel in that area. It's run by the best general manager, Chad, who is always there to help. He is extremely friendly and customer oriented and makes the stay most pleasurable. Also, Jill has always been there to accommodate the customer as well.

Came with wife and daughter for 2 nights to go to Salem. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. The gym and pool were good. The lobby is decorated for Halloween. It is about a 15 minute drive to Salem from the hotel. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Nice, clean hotel! We stayed for Salem touring weekend, with easy Uber rides to downtown Salem. Easy online check in, was able to pickup key at front desk upon arrival. Hotel quiet, friendly staff. Breakfast had the usual items. Plenty of parking.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel was decorated tastefully in spooky creatures and it was fun to see. The rooms were spacious for four family members to stay together. The pillows were ok, but it would be more comfortable with thinner, adjustable or a variety of pillows. The breakfast was great and had a nice variety of hot and cold breakfast items. The gentleman serving breakfast did an excellent job restocking while working around guests. The water filter in the lobby area was convenient.

Was in town to visit relatives with my mom. Hotel was close to highways and easy to access, and there was a lot of parking. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The window opened! That was really great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The wild turkeys that wander by the lobby were super cute and the staff said they are the "local celebrities"! Staff gave us an excellent recommendation for a local pizza place that delivered to the hotel. Pizza was excellent from Christina's JG Pizza in Danvers. The hotel was very well decorated with Halloween and fall decor. There were actual fresh flowers in the vases! Breakfast was good, coffee was good!

Very clean hotel as a whole. Friendly staff. And wonderful breakfast with many options. Was impressed with all the Halloween decorations they already had up. Cleaning services were remarkable and staff extremely friendly. Clean room!!

A very comfortable place to stay. Close to Salem, MA. We were welcomed by a friendly and helpful front desk person. Our room was large, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast the next morning was very much appreciated. It was nice to have hot items. We would have like more fruit options. Price was very reasonable. I would recommend Best Western Plus for anyone traveling.

Hotel is immense! Rooms and social areas are immaculate, and the team that work there are fantastic. At reception there is free tea/coffee/hot chocolate 24/7 and it's very well stocked. Breakfast had a great selection and it changed daily, the food was replenished regularly meaning it was always nice and fresh. There's also a water machine at reception where you can refill your bottles for free. We ubered into salem and the cost ranged between $15-$20 each way.Overall fantastic stay and we will definitely stay here again in future

We went for a family wedding. The room was very clean! The comfortable bed gave us a great night's sleep. The hotel was festively decorated for Halloween. The breakfast buffet was awesome, a large variety of foods for every age group of our family. The kids loved the pool! It was great to be able to check out at 12:00! It gave us some time to digest from breakfast and a little rest before we had to leave and get on the road to home. Thanks for a great stay!

A very nice hotel with fairly large ‘king' rooms. Breakfast was very good with the standard fare. Check in people and cleaning staff are super friendly. I'm a ‘diamond' member at best western and this hotel offers special reserved parking for ‘Diamonds'. I've stayed at around 25 different best westerns and this is the first time I've seen this. If in the area, I would stay here again.

Always clean rooms, comfortable beds, awesome free breakfast with lots of choices, and friendly and helpful staff. Also love that they have a water bottle filling station on the main floor. Also convenient to get to and from hotel and close to Salem.

We stayed here one night during our 19-day exploration of the US northeast states. Danvers was a stopover after a long day of travelling. We stayed in 6 different hotels during our trip. This would rank near the bottom in terms of overall comfort but it was also the least expensive hotel during our trip. The highlight of this hotel was the great breakfast it offered. There was a good variety of choices and everything I ate was very tasty. Another positive was that we were in desperate need of laundry facilities by the time we reached this hotel and the cost to use their washers and dryers were very reasonable ($2 per load). The room (two queen beds) was a bit cramped for a family of four. The fridge did not keep our drinks very cold and there was almost no water pressure from the shower. But it served its purpose as a stopover hotel for a very reasonable price so five stars from our family!

Clean hotel - friendly staff -just one issue - water pressure for shower was non-existent. I did tell the front desk - that was the only issue with this stay. Bed was comfortable - as usual the pool was a little too cold for me. Breakfast was typical - but good and plentiful.

This is the third time we have stayed in this hotel. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. It is clean, well maintained, quiet and a great value for the price. Very good coffee! Centrally located to all of the places we wanted to tour. Rockport/Gloucester is a great weekend getaway for us, and we will definitely stay at this hotel again.

I booked this hotel because my family needed to have a place to stay while I had surgery at LGH. It had high ratings online and had the most recent renovation. The guide online showed a small kitchenette area for the double queen room I wanted, which was another reason I why I chose this hotel. When we arrived there was a microwave and a refrigerator in a cubby near the bathroom. The front desk informed us only a king room had the kitchen area and there was nothing they could do. Our room smelled like old musty cat pee, like a former tenant let their cat pee on the carpet and no one cleaned it up. By day 2 we were all ill and ready to leave. Add in the silly experience with the breakfast buffet, where a worker told us to put the food on our plates back since they were closing, and it was not a great representation for the Best Western brand. I won't be staying here again or recommending anyone else to.

The hotel was quiet and in a very safe area. The beds were comfortable and room clean. We did request a room close to an elevator or exit, but it was at the far end of the hall. With that being said, we would stay here again if in area. It was a close drive to Salem and Boston USS Constitution- our plans for visiting the area.

The pillows are horrible. There were 5 but they were 1/2 size! Like 12”. 4 regular size or queen size would have been way more comfortable. Our sheets were damp. The AC was great, cold. Bring your s Own shampoo as the one bottle that was provided was not enough for one person. No fan in the bathroom, the shower curtain barely touched the top of the tub and the water was all over the floor. Water pressure above the 3rd floor is bad as I heard others complain. The staff is great, friendly & professional, everything was clean. I would stay there again as location is convenient but I will bring my own pillows and shampoo.

The hotel smells bad, like mold, old carpets or dirty carpets. When you exit the elevator that smells hits you. Also there is no papers or pens to take notes, like a little note pad. The lobby was HOT, no air conditioning in that area. Expensive for the price

If anything goes wrong with your stay, they take no accountability. Their breakfast is not an amenity. The eggs taste like powdered eggs. The bacon, you can break a tooth on and the potatoes are undercooked. The "do not disturb sign means nothing to the maids. They entered our room anyways. They hung our wet bathing suits in our closet with our clean clothes. The front desk said they take pictures of the door before they enter. The picture that was taken (according to the manager,Chad) did not show the door knob. There was a $90 hold put on my credit card for 3 nights ($30 each night). The woman manager told me it's customary to hold 10% of the room cost. My room was $521 for 3 nights. 10% would be $52. When I was checking in and disputing this charge, the employee called me a racist. Nothing was ever discussed about him personally.

We were so pleasantly surprised to discover this seemingly new or newly renovated hotel just outside of Boston. It was super easy to find and easy to get back on the highway. "Best" BW breakfast that we've ever had - pancakes, waffles, bacon, sausage, scr. eggs, home fries, and lots of cold options. Very clean facility! Everything appeared to be brand new. Comfy beds and spacious room. FREE and plentiful parking! And we received complimentary water and snacks for being BW members. We'll visit again when we have a City night and decide not to drive all of the way home.

Photos are misleading. First floor common areas are bright and open. That's where it stops. Hallways are stuffy, rooms are dated with unpleasant carpets, very old curtains, loud air conditioning and stucco walls to which who knows what is stuck. Bedding is a little sleazy. There's nothing crisp about this place.

Great hotel with courteous and helpful staff and comfortable accommodations. Free parking and free Wi-Fi are available. The beds are comfy, and the bathroom is very clean. Check-in is 24 hours, which was helpful given that my flight from Boston Logan Airport was delayed, and I only arrived after 2 AM! I would recommend this hotel!

There were really no downsides to my stay at this facility. My only suggestions are that they put in a regular adjustable bench in the workout room. And, although I brought my swim gear, the pool really isn't large enough to do any swim laps. Otherwise, a great facility with wonderful staff.

First class hotel. Breakfast service had a very good selection. Even even had a good selection of both hot and cold food. A good selection of coffee as well.

Caring, friendly staff; very comfortable beds, clean pleasant room, excellent complementary breakfast from eggs and bacon to the make your own waffles! Tub stopper didn't hold water for a "bubble bath" and the young man at the desk replaced it in minutes. Pool was refreshing. A real first class experience! Being a Best Western rewards member (just sign up) provided a nice discount.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel, the grounds were impeccably manicured the room was very spacious and the breakfast was way above and beyond the normal breakfast buffet stuff. The pool and outdoor patio area was inviting and very clean. Commuting to Boston was do easy from there.

This is a wonderful hotel. It is located about 25 minutes from Boston but also near Salem so it worked out great for our trip to that area. Rooms were clean and quiet, staff were attentive and helpful. Parking was easy but the best part was the free included breakfast. There were so many options, eggs, bacon, sausage, Canadian bacon, oatmeal, cold cereals, fresh fruit and strawberry waffles. There was a variety of coffee available and this saved us a lot of money. Quality ingredients and a relaxing atmosphere. I would highly recommend this hotel for lodging in the very pricey Boston area. This hotel was definitely a bargain for the quality.

If they take care of musty smell and water pressure, I think that the rating will go way up. Air conditioning worked well and bedding was clean.

I reserved a room here after a very long drive. I actually tried booking another hotel through expedia and they did not do one night rentals, so this hotel was recommended on the site. I clicked on Best Western expecting my dates to stay the same as I had entered, but it didn't. It switched my date to two weeks out. We checked in within 15 minutes of booking and were told they would not refund us for the accidental date! We ended up paying for the night AGAIN, and Expedia said they would look into it for us, but came back and said Best Western wouldn't do anything for us! SHAME on Best Western for stealing from people, which is essentially what they did. We will NEVER stay with Best Western again!!!!

Hotel was quite, even when they had tour busses. Besides the fitness center, they had a pool and outside patio. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Staff was very efficient.

I should have known when I booked this hotel and the person got my dates wrong even after I said the dates at least twice, that I should have cancelled my booking. I was given a deal, but once I called back to notify him of the mistake in the booking dates, he said he could no longer offer the deal because we were leaving Friday and not Thursday. When I booked my room, I was informed that I was on the first floor, but ended up on the 5th floor at the end of the hallway. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem, but currently I am having issues with one of feet which makes walking difficult at times. I also asked that my receipt be slipped under my door, which it was not and had to ask about it at check out. Had I read the review about the bed bugs, I would have stayed in another hotel. Although I do a thorough check of the bed for that exact thing and not finding any, that previous review left me feeling uncomfortable. I was surprised that there are no bed bug protectors on the mattresses. There is no duvet cover either as someone else mentioned in their review as well. Just a duvet between two flat sheets. They obviously didn't vacuum the carpet as there was a bottle cap and nail clippings on the carpet near the bed. The bed was uncomfortable and as someone else mentioned, the pillows were the size of throw pillows. My husband said there was little to no water pressure, during his shower, another previous mention in a review. We did however, find out from his friend in the area, apparently there was a water main break so not sure which caused the pressure problem. Then there's the parking lot and location of the hotel. If you have mobility issues and do not have a disability parking pass, this is not the hotel for you based upon the parking lot alone. There were a couple of positives though. Staff were pleasant upon arrival and departure. The breakfast was decent. Other than the bottle cap and nail clippings, the rest of the room was pretty clean. The A/C worked extremely well. Personally, I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone.

We stay at the Best WEstern Plus North Shore Hotel regularly when we are in the Boston area for medical appointments. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and well located. The staff are friendly, helpful, and willing to do whatever is necessary to be sure your stay is comfortable. Over ten years ago we were waiting in line to check in and were discussing our appointments and the results we had gotten. The manager overheard our conversation and told us that she had been trying to work with Mass General North Shore to offer a reduced rate for patients from out of town. She offered us that rate. We have been paying a greatly reduced rate whenever we stay there and we always book our stays there for our quarterly medical appointments. We also have stayed when one or the other of us has been admitted for medical procedure. When that has happened the staff have been so caring and concerned for our wel being! They always inquire about how we are doing. We have sent friends who are traveling to the area for medical appointments to the hotel and told them to give them our name and ask about a medical rate. they all have been accommodated. It's an outstanding hotel with a phenomenal staff.

Accessible to RT. 95 and Rt.1 . Hotel is very clean and well taken care of. This staff at this hotel are fantastic. Always smiling and willing to help. They take a lot of pride in appearance of the Hotel and the customers. Knowledgeable about the area. If you have any questions or concerns there very attentive to you, they will fix your concern ( in a POLITE MANNER which is so welcoming.) and try there best to answer your questions ( about the area , restaurants, etc.) Oh big plus for those that need it, they have electric charging stations. Rooms are clean and good size ( not cramped). Breakfast has quite a few options. Safe neighborhood ( another BIG PLUS). Would definitely choose this hotel over others in the area.

The hotel was nice, clean, and comfortable. I did not go to breakfast but I would like some fruit options if there weren't any. Loved the fridge and the vegan friendly toiletries. The pool was somewhat small, but it was indoors, so it's available year round. I couldn't figure out how to work the iron, and there are no towel racks on which to hang wet towels. Minor problems. I ended up spending a lot of time in the room, and I was comfortable there. I would definitely consider staying there again.

This is probably a nice hotel but we were given a 2 rooms completely surrounded by teenagers having the time of their lives on a church field-trip from CO (as their chaperone told us when she came to apologize for the noise - and tell us to please move our room!) Front desk staff apologized, then quickly and efficiently moved us to another floor when we called. The first set of rooms was nice - clean, comfortable, good bed firmness, AC worked correctly, toilet was quiet. The second set of rooms managed to hit all my pet peeves - poor water pressure, only lukewarm water, bed was too soft, toilet was very noisy, carpet was starting to unravel and the AC wouldn't stay on (I like to use it as white noise, which did not work here.) Breakfast was very nice and the room was large and well appointed. If we had stayed in the first set of rooms, I'd have rated this hotel a 5. The second set of rooms (floor 5) was not up to standard.

Breakfast area is clean and large enough to accommodate a variety of guests. Hot foods were hot, cold foods were cold. Beds were reasonable and bedding was clean and comfortable. Haven't tried the indoor pool yet but the area looks clean.

The hotel was in a location easy to get to. Easily accessible to museums and attractions. Beaches close by

It was a pleasure to stay at the Best Western Plus in Danvers. Each staff member that we dealt with, particularly the front desk personnel, were friendly, helpful and courteous. We stayed for a few days at the end of February, beginning of March and again overnight on the 11th. The rooms were spacious and clean. Common areas were inviting. The breakfast was very nice. We had 2 special requests that were granted with smiles, even though they weren't included with our stay. These acts of kindness made our stay outstanding and we look forward to staying again.

It's the best place in Danvers. Friendly, pleasant accommodating staff. Great breakfast selections. Always very clean. And the WiFi internet connections always work very well. Easy access from and to both Route 1 and I95.

Check in was easy, and the amenities up on the second floor were fine (coffee/tea all day, small "market" with snacks and other foods). My room smelled strongly like cigarettes and there were some left in the room, even. Front desk was very apologetic but nothing was done. I left the window open the second day while I was away with the heat on to try and air it out. Bed, shower, gym, and breakfast were fine, was able to sleep just fine.

The room was large and clean. The bed was very comfortable as well as the pillows. I would have given it 5 out of 5 if it wasn't for the terrible water pressure. Other than that it was a great stay. Staff are friendly and welcoming. I will definitely return.

Great stay. Attentive staff (especially gentleman who checked ne in night of 12/8/23 (wrote down his name but left it in room). Great first impression and thorough with where everything was, time of breakfast, and explained incidentals). Room was very large. Bed was quite comfortable, great selection of TV channels. Breakfast room huge with great selection of items. I was on 5th (top floor) and the water pressure was weak (for me - I know some people like it that way though).

We had a lovely stay. The room was clean, the staff was kind and helpful. Breakfast was great, well stocked, hot and delicious. We loved the indoor pool and the water bottle filler and coffee 24/7. We will be staying again at this location.

Very nice stay. The room and the hotel were very clean and tidy. Staff was friendly. The continental breakfast was very good. My wife and I stayed here during the first half of October, and there were already tons of Halloween decorations up at the hotel. We absolutely loved the holiday spirit of this place. Over, a great experience

Took a girls trip to Salem and had a fantastic stay here. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed the short drive to Salem it was. Also very close is other sights to see including the witch trial victims memorial. Front desk employees were all very nice. The lobby and surrounding areas were clean, they had 2 coffee stations that included hot chocolate also, which was lovely at night . We enjoyed by the fireplace area they have in the back! The pool was open until late but we didn't get to it, though it was a nice option to have. Breakfast wasn't 5 star but a solid 4.8 with many, many choices, protein, carbs, fruit, make your own waffles, cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, muffins if you go hungry that's on you because options are plenty! Even juice and an espresso machine. They have high chairs and a little book area if you have children with you, which I didn't but loved that they were there. We were helped with tampons at the counter and given extra sheets when needed, the room was clean and beds were comfy. Throughly enjoyed our stay here and will be sure to return next time we're in the area.

The room was huge and comfortable - bright and cheery decor. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of parking and we had a great stay. Breakfast was included and there was a good selection. Rooms were quiet.

The breakfast staff apparently are NOT cooks. Eggs appear re-heated, dry as the Sahara Dessert. Sausage just brought out from the kitchen dripped of water and were cold inside. Chemical coffee machines dispensed terrible tasting coffee. Not brewed coffee. I complained on Monday and the manager wrote me that he would talk with the breakfast staff. On Friday same bad breakfast: burnt scrambled eggs, dry as cardboard, cold sausage.

The hotel is extremely clean,the staff all very professional and helpful. The room was very nice good size very quiet,bathroom very clean. The compliment breakfast was very good plenty of help in a very large room very clean. Only concern I would like a little more water pressure overall a 5 star experience.

The staff was super helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast served in the morning was your standard fare but delicious. There was always someone at the desk ready to help with any questions or assistance. The snacks/drinks were reasonably priced. Definitely recommend this location for the Danvers area.

This is a very nice Best Western. It is not a luxury resort. However, it is a very reasonably priced alternative to staying in Salem or Peabody. 1) The lobby and breakfast area were very clean and well maintained 2) The room was also very clean (note -the remote in Room 433 needs to be replaced because it was difficult to turn on/off and the tub needs a new stopper - also cracked as if someone dropped a heavy object) 3) The breakfast was plentiful and there were employees who changed out the hot food, helped the guests, and cleaned the area during the morning. 4) The outdoor patio area was lovely and very clean. 5) The indoor pool was clean and had fresh towels even in the evening. The water could be warmer, but after a hot day it was cold and yet refreshing at the same time. 6) Did not use the fitness room but it had plenty of equipment and also looked very clean. 7) I saved the best for last - the staff was friendly, healthful, and courteous at all times. They seem liked a very well trained team. Yes, I would recommend this hotel to travellers.

Friendly, helpful front desk staff, nice big clean room. Good shower & bed, had coffee maker, hairdryer & iron in our room. Breakfast was quite good, we would have preferred more fresh items but we're probably in the minority on that. Perfect for our one night post flight stay.

We love this hotel! we stay here regularly when we have medical appointments in Boston. The staff are welcoming and take very good care of us. When they learned we were staying for medical appointments they offered us a special rate. We always have a room that is in a quiet part of the hotel, and they do their best to be sure we have all we need.

The rooms are comfortable with all the necessities; everything worked well. The decor is a bit basic relative to some other places although the lobby has more of an updated feel. The check in and check out were efficient and helpful. Breakfast was great and coffee is always available in the lobby

Stayed in Danvers Best Western which was about a 15-25 minute drive to downtown Salem depending on time of day. Very convenient. Room was clean. Breakfast was typical stuff. Front desk people were nice.

This stay was disappointing. Not the usual quality that would be expected from the Best Western Plus brand. Room a bit dated. Poor water pressure. Slow wifi. Squeaky mattress. We stayed for two nights. The first night was okay. The second night was pretty bad. The room next to ours was blaring obnoxious music until we called front desk around midnight. Hotel did not handle it well. The noise continued until after midnight. Sounded like there was around 4 to 6 people having a party in the room. On a Wednesday night. Hotel rep said that they would send someone up. Didn't seem to help. Anyways, very annoying and not a great stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone nor would I return.

We wanted a cheap and nice place to stay in Boston and couldn't find both so we decided to stay here after a day in Boston. Modern and clean room. Great breakfast. Pool wasn't freezing but could be a degree or two warmer. Friendly staff. Would stay here again!

I gave the hotel 4 stars not because it's a 4 star hotel but because it did well for the class of hotel this is. We were visiting Salem and wanted something less expensive and comfortable with easy parking and this fit the bill. The room was huge and looked freshly painted. Everything looked very clean. The beds were comfortable. Didn't use the pool or gym but they looked well kept. The breakfast room was huge. We were there on a Monday morning so maybe not as busy as usual but we had no problem finding a table. The options weren't exciting but typical and acceptable. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. I probably would have given 5 stars except when I sat on the bed I saw a piece of a cracker on the floor just under the edge of the second bed which told me the cleaning job wasn't as thorough as it looked. And I didn't like that there was no option for constant Fab so I had to listen to the a/c cycling on and off all night. Otherwise no complaints. There was even a pay for charging station for electric cars.

Stayed here for two nights while touring the Salem/Gloucester area. I used to avoid Best Western's, as it seemed like most were older, unkempt, and worn out. The arrival of the Best Western Plus moniker seems to have changed their position in the industry. To date, I have been pleased with all Best Western Plus facilities I have stayed at, this one being no exception. This particular facility is well manicured on the outside with plenty of parking, and very welcoming when you walk in the front door. All staff we interacted with were very friendly and polite. Room was clean, comfortable, and our request for a room on top floor was accommodated. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star review is because breakfast, as with most hotels, was a bit lacking, and the door to our room did not shut properly without giving it a little extra push. Great facility overall - would definitely recommend.

We stayed here one night on our way to Providence RI. The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable. The AC was SO LOUD. It sounded like a jet taking off and it was all night long. We should have just left the fan running. The morning breakfast was very good. It's 10 min to the only IMAX theatre in the area so that was fun.

Decor very bad taste modern, garish lighting everywhere, very over priced. We stayed at 2 other Best Westerns within the week and were happy with both of them We are members and usually choose Best Western.

I have to thank the staff on multiple issue resolutions. I accidentally booked the wrong weekend, and they helped me move my reservation without any additional fee. Our room was adjacent to the lobby and it was extremely noisy the first morning, and they moved me to another room without any resistance or trouble. I've read horror stories about hotel staff in the greater Boston area, but this experience completely blew my expectations out of the water. I was very very happy with the staff, and would happily stay at this hotel again. Only issue is the number of cars in the parking lot if you return late is VERY high. My door was dented by someone who came at night and left before morning...

This was way better than I expected. The hotel was exceedingly clean, staff was very helpful and efficient. Check in was speedy - there is nothing more that a long check in process when all I want to do is get to my room and relax.

I really love this hotel! This was my second time staying here. THe free breakfast is awesome, pancakes, waffles,(make your own) eggs and whatever else you like! The whole staff was so freindly and accomodating!

The hotel itself is very nice, updated, clean, staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are large in size with plenty of space. Nice fridge and microwave with kitchen area for convenience. One of the more comfortable beds we have had in a hotel in a long time. Very sound proof also. The only shortfall was that even though the checkout was at 12pm and we had a do not disturb sign on our door, house keeping disregarded all of this and knocked multiple times on our door between 9-9:30am. We were up late at a wedding and we're taking advantage of the late checkout time to catch some sleep. We woke to the knocking and heard the attempted entry by house keeping. We luckily had the overlock on which prevented this. I'm just not sure what the purpose of the do not disturb sign is if they don't pay attention to them.

My son got married north of Danvers and I arranged a block of rooms for us and for other out of town guests at the Best Western in Danvers My experience from start to finish to the actual stay was flawless. The general manager and the hotel manager, Chad Hanson and Jill Granger, were helpful all along the way. They also helped me by answering my questions about what bus company we could hire to transport guests to the venue. The recommendation was spot on. I asked if they could make sure that our guests checking in would know the bus schedule. They not only advised our guests as they checked in but also posted the information in a frame at the front desk so no one would miss it! Our dates had changed because of Covid and they easily got us situated. The hotel is recently renovated and very clean and attractive. A big highlight of the hotel, especially for us who were in a large group, was the included breakfast and the huge breakfast room. Our guests were able to enjoy the meal and then hang out visiting each other. We were able to all be together because of the large room. The bride and groom stayed there as well. Additionally, the rate was very very affordable. And since it is so close to the tourist town of Salem many of our guests got to go there. Overall, this hotel far exceeded our expectations and I would recommend it highly.

The entire staff was very friendly and polite from the front desk to housekeeping to maintenance personnel when I passed by them while entering or exiting. The bathroom literally sparkled it was so clean. No miss coloration on any of the surfaces. The only thing that would have made this stay better would have been the availability of medium roast coffee in the room instead of just dark roast. I give this hotel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Planned a trip to Salem and this was a great option. Not very far and the hotel staff was very friendly. Room had ample room- happy it had a refrigerator , microwave, closet. We did check the beds and everything seemed clean.

I have stayed At this location multiple times over the years. It is convenient to go in to Salem yeah, Southern Maine, Southern New Hampshire. it's also very convenient to Boston for the day. The hotel is clean staff is friendly parking available.. There's a Great Restaurant Dannielle is market a mile down the road that's convenient for a nice dinner especially if you're celebrating birthdays and anniversaries.

The room is very basic but spacious, clean and neat. However you still have everything what you need. Staff is very friendly and the pool is heated which is nice if you have small kids. Some restaurants are in walking distance. So it's good value for money

These rooms are disgusting. Do not stay here if you are sensitive to smells, get headaches/migraines, or just want general cleanliness. Purchased a room with a king bed. As we got settled we noticed an awful smell coming from the heater and it kept getting worse and worse each minute. Like someone dried their sweaty boots on it and we were in that boot. It was a hot heavy pungent smell - made your eyes sting. I got a migraine from it and ruined my night. We were able to switch rooms, but only a room with queen beds was available so we settled with that. This new room smelled almost as bad, but it was more tolerable. Both rooms in general were not very clean. At check out, I asked to have the difference refunded since a queen room is cheaper than a king room. I was told I would have to contact Expedia since I booked it there. Understandable. Not even 2 weeks passed and I contacted Expedia for the refund and they contacted the hotel. The hotel said I waited too long so a refund was impossible. I called the front desk myself. The gentleman must have known I would call - right off the bat he was rude. "Well, I don't understand the problem. We let you switch rooms" Let me switch rooms? Seriously? Were you going to keep me hostage in there? I mentioned the queen was cheaper and he said "no they are the same" (with a nasty tone) as I was looking at their website. $239 for a King and $229 for Queen. I know $10 per night isn't much, but these days it can really make a difference.

Hotel is very clean and staff was pleasant and helpful. The pool was warm and clean! The location is close to Boston and highway. The room was quiet and relaxing. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

This Best Western is very nice! The rooms are super clean and spacious. The breakfast area had many choices, was well stocked and clean. We also found it pretty quiet, which is always a treat! My husband used the gym and said it was nice. The lobby is nice, with lots of seating, which came in handy for our family. One thing to note is that the hotel is on a hill, with the Lobby on the 2nd floor, the driveway and parking lot are somewhat steep. All this being said, we will glad re-book this hotel next time we are in town to visit our daughter.

"You get what you pay for" would not be a proper catch phrase here. BEST price in the area! Clean facilities and AWESOME, helpful, attentive staff!! Extremely busy, long holiday weekend, packed place. Staff maintained everything on every level. We will be staying here for all our future family get togethers.

Near my daughter's home in Beverly, and staying there is not easy for her right now. A nice room with a good bed and a refrigerator. Decent breakfast. Didn't have time to take advantage of their pool and fitness room. Maybe next time. Will stay there again.

We recently stayed at Best Western Plus North Shore Hotel and were assisted by Junior, who works at the front desk. He is the most accommodating and helpful desk clerk ever, and very professional and amicable. We asked for a quiet room when we made reservations over the phone, and lo and behold, he listened and couldn't have been nicer. Another desk clerk, Kinssey (sp?) was very nice and accommodating as well. Our only disappointment was that because the rooms are not cleaned daily, we didn't receive replacement clean towels when we needed them. Other than that, a great experience, and we will remember Junior :-), who is very deserving of recognition, and will recommend your hotel.

Girls trip to Salem, didn't want to stay right in town, so chose this Danvers location. It was about 5.6 miles from Salem and the rides back & forth were easy & quick. Every staff member we encountered was friendly & helpful. We were greeted every time we entered and any questions we had were answered helpfully. The gym has decent equipment, the pool is indoors, but there is a patio right outside the doors by the pool with lounge chairs as well as plenty of seating around a gas firepit. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of options. Oatmeal, waffles, pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, cereals, breads etc.... Breakfast seating/dining area is large with plenty of seats and tables as well as clean. There are also restrooms across the hall that are clean and you can wash up & leave w/out having to go back to your room first. There are several lounge areas that are nice & comfortable to hang out in, if you wish. Internet worked perfectly, we had zero issues connecting & staying connected. Room (ours was 2 doubles) was clean, AC worked extremely well, tv, microwave, coffee maker, iron etc. No hairdryer in our room. Bathroom was spacious, with 3 shelves as well as ample counter space. When we stayed, it was quiet at night, no outside noise to keep you awake, didn't hear the cleaning crew in the morning. Plenty of parking, nice big lot and area when you arrive. We had zero complaints, would stay again and very much appreciated how welcome we felt and safe. Well lit at night, too.

The breakfast was clean and all items were fresh, not just a grab and go like many are. They had an indoor pool that was very clean and the fitness center was right near it. We were there for a specific reason, and this hotel was close to our destination.

We are very please with our stay here at Best Western. A very nice facility and I did a lot of research to find us a nice place to stay and this was perfect! The breakfast was very tasty and there was a variety of choices to suit any taste.

We go frequently to the Danvers area to visit family and have tried all the usual hotels in the area. None of them were very good. We finally found the Best Western Plus North Shore Hotel and have stayed nowhere else since. Staff is excellent. The hotel is newly renovated and is spotless. The HVAC in the room is quiet - a big deal. The free breakfast is great. The location is great. This is a really nice, well managed hotel.

Staff kept up on Cleaning rooms which were very comfortable ,The breakfast was amazing and staff made sure that the food was kept full, wonderful Staff ! very friendly and helpful. I will be a repeat customer!

I chose a last minute stay at this hotel as I was pleasantly surprised with a previous stay here last year. However, this time around there were 2 main cleanliness issues (which the staff were helpful to address). 1) the bedsheets had a stain - I called down and requested a new sheet set which the front desk promptly had ready for me to pick up. The next morning, after returning to the room from breakfast, our bathroom ceiling was leaking water around the light fixture and the entire bathroom floor and toilet were wet from the leak. The front desk staff was not at all surprised and said “this happens all the time” from shower water from the room above leaking into the room below. They offered to have housekeeping clean and sanitize the bathroom. I requested a different room instead and she was happy to oblige. While the staff were accommodating, I feel that hotel management needs to address this unhygienic issue of bathrooms leaking into each other- especially in this age of COVID and it's a known problem by the staff.

Outstanding service, very very comfortable bed and spacious clean rooms. Plus a great complementary breakfast too. Front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful. Will return again if ever in the area. Rooms have refrigerator and microwave also.

Everything fine except toilet would run and we had to put handle up and in some cases reflush and put handle up. This made me nervous because of a possible leak. We were there only a few nights so we alerted the staff when we checked out.

Its a nice place just dont expect your room to be cleaned everyday of your stay. Also,be prepared to go get your own towels when they don't clean your room. The breakfast is also way better on the weekend than it is on weekdays.

I think the hotel needs a refresh. Everything was clean but looked a little dated. The bedroom had one small light when you entered and two small lamps. I felt like it was very dark inside the room. The complimentary soap, shampoo and conditioner were diminutive. We had to leave the hotel and go to Target to get products.

We stayed here (myself and my cousin) in order to meet up then drive to Boston for the Paul McCartney concert. This was a great option- rates were far more reasonable than staying mid-week in Boston, and the drive was quick. It also allowed us to head back home easily in the morning for appointments. The hotel is clean; staff friendly, helpful and professional.

This hotel has been recently renovated. It was really nice and a good price. Beds were very comfortable and I liked the decor. Hotel was very clean and the staff friendly. The free breakfast included eggs, home fries sausage toast cereal yogurts and pancakes. Everything was really good and the staff kept the area very clean. Also great location since convenient to everything. Definitely will stay here again.

I requested a quiet room and the staff was courteous in giving me a spot on the top floor at the very end of the hallway, a location that had the highest probability in the entire hotel of being quiet. However, because the walls are paper thin and the windows/walls allow noise to pass tight through, my partner and I could hear every word uttered by the couple staying in the room next to us and the highway noise was unacceptably loud. Every motorcycle or noisy vehicle that passed was not only audible throughout the night (in spite of my wearing Mack's Wax earplugs AND using a very strong white noise machine), but THE ROOM WAS ACTUALLY VIBRATING with the soundwaves. I slept horribly and the events I was in town to attend were ruined for me. The beds were saggy and unsupportive, and the pillows were WAAAAAY to thick and tall. I could not even get comfortable. The bathrooms are tiny and the breakfast was basically inedible. My partner told me the gym wasn't bad (of course, I was too exhausted from lack of sleep to even use it), so points there. I would have been equally served by sleeping in a tent in the parking lot.

Very happy with our stay! Was our first time at this location and will always be our first choice! We came for a concert in Boston and was very accessible to the city! Very friendly guests (coming from a Canadian) rooms were very spacious and super tall ceilings! Rooms were spotless, breakfast was amazing! A great deal that doesn't compromise on quality!

I had an amazing experience at the hotel, my kids love it so much! The hotel is super clean, super quiet, breakfast was amazing. I will definitely go back. The Spanish lady in the kitchen was so nice to us and treated us with so much respect.

Close to Salem but away from the crowds. Stopping in Salem on our way back from Maine we found this affordable BW just a few miles from Salem off the major traffic routes in a quiet area with plenty of parking on property. The staff was very pleasant and helpful with directions. Our room was spacious and more important, clean. The bed was comfortable, and the shower had plenty of pressure and hot water. Will stay here again on a return visit to Salem.

The team at BW Danvers is amazing. Not only were they incredibly helpful, they went out of their way to make sure and the others in my party were comfortable and taken care of. I have not had a similar experience in all of the Boston area. I would absolutely return! The hotel is newly renovated, with large rooms and comfortable spaces. The amenities are fantastic (fireplace in lobby, hot coffee/tea through the day available, great pool, and conference spaces).

Brilliant, I pass through there every month for work, and always stay Best Western Plus North Shore Hotel, Danvers, MASSACHUSETTS. Welcomed every month by name, I book ahead so just walk in pickup my key and go to my room. They serve a full hot breakfast . I would give it all 10's but then there is no room for growth. The room has multiple broken odens including the shower, there were blood stains on the walls and floor of the bathroom… it was terribly overpriced. If you still book here, don't get the breakfast. It's going to make you ill

This hotel is in a great location. You are 30 minutes from Boston and about 20 minutes from Salem. We came during the peak time of year in October to visit Salem. The price is average for this type of hotel and understandable during this season. Lots of parking. Staff was friendly at the front desk and we had no issues. Main lobby is on the second floor. First floor has an indoor pool. There is a complementary breakfast from 7-10 am. The breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, muffins, breads, and your typical cereals. We were on the fourth floor and our room and hallway felt dark. The room smelled a bit musty but we opened the window a bit for some fresh air. The bathroom is very tight and small. Not a great layout. Felt a bit dirty to me. Prior to Covid I would Lysol the entire room anyway but during this trip when I Lysoled the room, there was lots of dust and dirt on my wipes after. Overall, a decent room considering we really just needed it for sleep. We spent most of our time exploring. Definitely a good location and not terrible. I would come back here because of the price and location.

Spent one night. Quiet location. Comfortable room. Has everything you need. Good hot breakfast. The pool was clean and a nice temperature. I love the carpeted stairwells. Very good to use during these covid days. The hotel is kept neat and clean inside and out. The staff are very welcoming. I have stayed here many times over the years. The price has gone up, but it's worth it.

We booked 2 nights in advance, asking for a quiet room, as my husband was going to have surgery one day with a follow-up appointment the following day. We arrived after 4 PM, went to the assigned room, opened the door to discover that the room had not yet been cleaned. No way to call the front desk from the dirty room, so we had to take our luggage and ourselves back down to the lobby. The manager said he was sorry. We were assigned another room. The second afternoon, when we returned to the hotel, we could not get in our room. The manager had forgotten to activate the new room key for the second night. So, down to the lobby again to get the key activated. We had to wait for about 20 minutes while he was on the phone before he turned his attention to us to activate the room key. As far as the room itself, it was fair, not well cleaned (coffee stains running down the wall, many hand smudges on the inside of the entry door, the outlet near the desk/table had exposed wires. But, the beds were comfortable. Breakfast is what would be typical for this kind of hotel.

I have been staying at this hotel for many years.The hotel has had many names throughout the years. Best Western is by far the best place when visiting Salem. It is a short ride and the rooms are comfortable and spacious. They also have breakfast in the mornings. I wouldn't stay anywhere else!!! The staff is friendly, especially Chad at the front desk. He is friendly and professional. Check in is always quick!

I wish to highly recommend the Best Western Plus North Shore Hotel in Danvers MA and complement its General Manager Chad. The Hotel has a beautiful fireplaced sitting room, an extra-large eating area, and free Wi-ifi. Although we did not get to use the indoor pool we did get exercise in the workout room. We found the rooms to be clean, spacious, and the beds very comfortable. An added plus is the generous and well stocked hot breakfast maintained by the friendly kitchen staff. Parking is abundant and the lots and grounds are well maintained. The building is off the main highway and quiet. Check-in was a breeze which is where we met the GM Chad. Due to a shortage of workers in Massachusetts we saw that Chad was wearing many hats and each hat came with a different job. Having an extended stay, we got to see Chad each day as he checked guests in and out, answered phone calls, met with vendors, and interacted with guests. My wife and I have traveled globally and have stayed at many hotels. We were extremely impressed with his dedication, patience, friendliness, professionalism, and “nothing is a problem” attitude. He is a tremendous credit to the Best Western Owners and Organization. We will definitely stay at this hotel when our travel plans bring us to Boston.

Wonderful location. Very clean from the outside to in. Staff very friendly. Room was spacious and well kept. Pool and fitness areas were very nice and clean. Breakfast was outstanding for a hotel especially during these COVID times. You won't go wrong by choosing BW North Shore!

We Always Stay At This Hotel, unfortunately, this trip I thought I'd go more economical, well, you get what you pay for.. the bargain hotel was so horrible, I couldn't stay there. I called The BW North Shore, Gratefully they had a room! The minute I walked into the Lobby I felt safe, comfortable and at home!!

This was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed it. Our fridge(freezer) was broken when we arrived so we informed the front desk right away and she switched our room with no problems. Housekeeper was so pleasant. Loved it here.

This is a very odd hotel. The lobby looks like you walked into the side or delivery entrance. There is a "desk" if you can call it that, behind plexiglass (I get it...covid)...but that's about it. It looks like a cheap, creepy hotel when you first walk in. I was told the king sized bed I reserved was overbooked, so I ended up in a different room. Ok, not too bad, but the entire floor smelled like cigarette smoke. The room itself was clean and nice...just don't open the door or you'll get smacked in the face by that awful smell. We had to hold our breath until we got into our room. Who smokes in hotels anymore??? Ok, now to breakfast. I paid extra for the "full breakfast" based on the photos that show a breakfast room...not sure where that is, but that's not where they serve breakfast. Breakfast is basically a bag you grab in the super creepy lobby, which consists of a lunch bag with supermarket instant oatmeal and a nutrigrain bar. I thought it was for some school field trip or something. This lovely "breakfast" is served with instant coffee. For god sake, at least offer your guests real coffee! In their defense, there was a coffee maker in the room, but based on the cleanliness of the rest of the hotel, I was not using that thing. There is a McDonald's 2 miles away. I recommend skipping the free breakfast and just eat at McD's. It's cheaper and better. Hotel is fair at best, if all you need to do is sleep and shower. But for $200/night in the middle of nowhere, I was expecting nicer.

Upon arrival the hotel looked so clean, fresh and the decor was appealing. The room smelled clean and the room was very spacious. Breakfast was "to go" style, but lots of choices and each breakfast was sealed in a bag for a germ free experience. You could even pick up a small orange juice, milk or yogurt with your breakfast. Overall, a really nice experience.

This was the 1st time my friend and I traveled to that area of Massachusetts. We were pleasantly surprised at the hospitality and appearance of the Best Western. In spite of only recently having had covid restrictions lifted, we felt as if our needs were more than adequately met.

Nice hotel with decent amenity. Location is closed to a variety of attractions. You can easily visit Gloucester, Beverly, Salem, Manchester within 20 minutes drive. Staffs are efficient and friendly. Rooms are very clean. Breakfasts are a little limited in terms of options right now but there nonetheless.

Had to stay for two months while looking for a new apartment, and this hotel was the best in the area that we came across for price and cleanliness. Very clean and recently renovated, nice high ceilings make the rooms feel huge. The mini fridge was great. The hotel is sort of tucked away off the highway which was nice, but still very close to Rt1 and everything it has to offer. Every member of the staff was awesome, and we felt safe and accommodated. We will definitely be returning if ever need to stay in a hotel in the area again!

The rooms are clean, spacious, and well appointed. The lobby is nice. Continental breakfasts are good. I really appreciated having access to decent coffee throughout the day. The General Manager, Chad, is professional, polite, and friendly. He always seemed to make sure my stay was pleasant, which it was.

We found this property to be cheerful, bright and exceptionally clean. We received a very warm welcome from the assistant manager Steve, who gave us a large and quiet room. He competently figured out how to use the vouchers we had accumulated from previous BW stays. We highly recommend this BW to anyone looking to stay in the Boston area.

I stay there every month for work, and the staff seem genuinely happy to see me, the hotel is perfectly situated for my work schedule, allowing me easy access to Route 1 and I95. The rooms are clean , the linens are fresh , and when they were allowed serve breakfast, it was a great hot breakfast.

The walls are thin so we heard the neighbors tv and people walking through the hallways, it wouldn't have been an issue but it was midnight and I had two young kids with me. Overall the room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The room was nice and spacious. Clean beds! The shower was not cleaned however before our stay and the water was not draining very well. 24/7 coffee bar which was nice. Some of the staff could of been friendlier but I didn't mind. I would stay again honestly.

My Family and I visited Best western Plus in Danvers Massachusetts to find great service and a good time. At Best Western Plus we found all of that and then some. CHAD HANSON... the General Manager is a good professional man who knows how to help if needed. Remember manners get you help and a good time. JOYCE AT THE FRONT DESK INCREDIBLY RUDE DISGUSTING AND DISRESPECTFUL. SHE IS A DISGRACE TO THE BEST WESTERN. SICKENING. Upon entering she screamed at me and denied my reservation. Mind you I already PAID IN FULL for my room. She is honestly one of the rudest people I've encountered in hospitality and should be fired.

We have stayed at "our "hotel for many years. We stay once a year while we attend a WGI Regional in Salem, MA. We are an independent color guard team from Old Orchard Beach, ME. Our team consists of teens aged 12-21 and usually 6-10 adults. The hotel is conveniently located to our event and is very easy to find. The front desk people are always very pleasant and helpful. I work with Jill Granger for the reservation process and she is EXCELLENT. She is always very friendly and accommodating. She reaches out to me each year to see if we will be staying several months before our scheduled stay. When we arrive at check in, our rooms and key cards are always ready. This is so helpful and makes for a speedy check in. This year we used 9 rooms and we were all checked in within 20 minutes thanks to Jill's work prior to our arrival. The hotel is always clean and free cookies are usually on the table. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We have NEVER had any issues with cleanliness or bugs. I tell people about this hotel alot and have had friends stay there. They too were pleased with their experience.

Great Hotel, great staff from Anna at check in to Alan at check out in the morning,I never have any problems when I stay there, which is a couple of nights every month, for work. Break is served at 6.30 and it's Hot plentiful and tasty

Well maintained, close to shore to see Rockport, Danvers, etc.prior to going to Boston for a cruise. Used Best Western as hub to go to wife's home town of Danvers, and to visit some of the local restaurants such as Sam and Joes and get Lobster fresh in RockPort.

Beautiful lobby the staff was very welcoming and helpful. Our room was spotless and nicely decorated and roomy. The breakfast room was bright and cheery and comfortable. There was a great selection of items.

Hotel was well maintained and overall clean. Many charging stations, for devices were available in dining area and lobby. Room needed extra table or work space near microwave. Microwave in our room need maintenance.

We stayed with our basketball teams!! The hotel staff was amazing even with over 20 kids under 14. They allowed us to use their breakfast room to accommodate all our kids for pizza and snacks! They let us stay in there as long as we wanted!! Thanks for being so great!!

The Room was nice and spacious. The parking was up a slight hill. Breakfast was good as they have always been at the Best Western's we've stayed at. I see it was a Comfort Inn previously, so I'm not sure how the other Plus locations are?

I booked at the last minute and did a walk in booking and everyone was very friendly. Hotel is in a very convenient spot, The highway, restaurants, malls are all close by. There are also many attractions nearby.

I really appreciated the breakfast was outstanding and the hotel was clean and the beds were well made and the only thing I would say was not as good was the post stamp size closed but other than that everything was fantastic

From the moment you pull up, you just have the feeling that everything is going to go great! Exterior and interior very clean and modern, the lobby very welcoming. Few moments drive from mutiple establishments of fun leisure and entertainment! Will stay again in the near future.

The services at this hotel were very good, and the staff was very responsive to my needs, getting me a shower seat for my handicapped accessible bathroom. Breakfast was tasty (although the breakfast area could have been kept more tidy), and my room was spacious and quiet. The mattress was harder than I prefer but others in my party thought their beds were very comfortable. There was plenty of hot water for showers. The elevators are rather tiny, which meant that I in my wheelchair had to take a separate trip from my husband, who brought luggage in on the luggage cart; couldn't fit both my wheelchair and the luggage cart in the same elevator! Front desk staff and maintenance/housekeeping staff were all very friendly and efficient.

Have stayed at another hotel chain for years, until a sudden business trip came up and my usual place had no availability. I certainly wasn't happy that as a long time customer and rewards member they couldn't accommodate me in any way but I still needed a place to stay. The Best Western wasn't too far away. Honestly? For $125-150 a night less, for what I use the hotel for, I was just as comfortable as the other place and it was actually quieter. You won't confuse the breakfasts between the two places but at BW the breakfast is included. The other place does have function rooms and a dining room, but if you don't need that, why pay for it?

The hotel staff have always been helpful. We stay at this hotel regularly for medical appointments. When the staff realized why we were staying there so frequently the manager offered us a special rate. It has been a real help and we always stay at Best Western Plus North Shore.

Great staff- clean- quiet. Breakfast was amazing. Location is wonderful so close to everything!! Able to get to Salem and a quick train ride to Boston. The option was even open to take the train to Plymouth. We stayed for Halloween in Salem. Great place

Rooms were large and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was great. Nice lobby with fireplace. could sit and relax there. Breakfast room was large and clean, food was good, great selection - pancakes, waffles, eggs, coffee - all included in your stay. Would stay again when in area.

Eight of us, after travelling for 9 hours, arrived at the hotel where the three ladies on reception were very unhappy about the computers not working correctly. We couldn't get access to our rooms and were told there was an Italian restaurant close by and to go there. Not an ideal start. The next morning I thought the breakfast room was a creche there were so many children running about. Not the hotels fault but the parents should have been more considerate. What I found absolutely surprising and unnecessary was the use of entirely disposable cups, plates, cutlery etc.etc. The bins were overflowing with used cardboard and plastic. Why couldn't they use reusable crockery and proper spoons , knives and forks? Very disappointing but seemed to be widely accepted and normal in America. The actual breakfast was ok, plenty of choice but rather crowded at times. The bedrooms were comfortable and clean. Our room (200) was on the ground floor. We would have preferred the window open but unfortunately the noise from other air con units was disturbing and had to use our air con instead. Not particularly saving the planet. The staff on reception appeared quite surly on occasion but did help when approached. To sum up - quite basic but clean and comfortable.

Stayed here for 5 nights in October. On the plus side everything was lovely and clean, beds comfortable, plenty of space. Nice pool for a relax. On the downside - breakfast. Only plastic cutlery and crockery, no healthy options except an apple, pear or banana. Far FAR too much sweet stuff and stodge. Even packets of porridge had sugar in them. ‘Sausages' were grey and it was not clear if these were pork, beef or cardboard. Same for ‘bacon'. There WAS wholemeal bread for toasting though. No restaurant for evening, and no bar. Ok to stay if eating out.

We stay here every year without issue. Convenient and easy drive to tourist attractions. We only had the breakfast one day out of our 4 day stay and it was ok, plenty of options. Shower could be more powerful and beds a little softer, but really no complaints. We will be back for sure!

This hotel wasn't fantastic but served its purpose. Breakfast was good but the food wasn't very hot. It wasn't cold either. The room was spacious but not incredibly clean. There was an old coffee filter with grounds still in the coffee maker lots of cobwebs bathroom was clean which is fairly important to us. The pool wasn't quite clean. I feel like it needed to be maintained a little more especially for a public pool.

This hotel was a pretty good hotel. They worked with us when something came up on our trip and we would be there later in the day and then also the military discount is PHENOMENAL and saved us about 600 for our two night stay. It is in the perfect place to visit Salem but also stay out of the hustle and bustle of the city when relaxing at the hotel and the breakfast was amazing. My only complaint is while out in Salem for the day, the maid didn't close our door all the way so after arriving back to the hotel, our door was made accessible to anyone who could have walked by but luckily nothing was taken. Front desk staff were very nice and helpful. Pool was nice and patio with fire pit was a great addition. Would stay again.

This a a fantastic hotel with great service, located within 20 minutes of all the downtown Salem action. Staying here allowed us to extend our vacation and spend our dollars in the shops and supporting the economy instead of just a place to lay our head at night. Amenities were standard, but staff were courteous and kept everything clean. Will definitely stay again!!

The hotel itself is very nice. However, our room had a connected door to the room next to us. We could literally hear every word spoken, cough, sneeze, tv noise going on in their room. We didn't mind though because we get it..plus, we always bring a white noise machine to cover up noise... EXCEPT the people next to us called the front desk on us MULTIPLE times during the DAY, (not even at night! We were asleep by 9pm) to tell us we were being too loud just by talking. We felt like we were vacationing in a prison having to whisper and telling my 4 year old he couldn't even speak with his regular tone of voice. NOT FUN. This was my first stay at a Best Western and will be my last.. they could have moved the people next to us if they couldn't handle it instead of harassing my family. Ridiculous.

This is the third time I have stayed at this Best Western. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast choices are plenty. Coffee in the lobby available at all times and delicious cookies after 4!

e friends on our trip. We booked a king bed and sofabed and both were very comfortable. One friend left her phone charge cord in the room plugged in but calls to hotel did not turn up the missing cord. Also, we had an early flight the next morning at had to eat asap. The breakfast was suppose to be ready at 6:30 but by 6:45 still had not opened so we had to wait and eat at airport. I mentioned this on review summitted to BW and got a nice note back from the manager. We would stay here again.

We had a last minute hiccup and needed a room at 11pm on a Saturday night in October. Near Salem that is hard to do. They were accommodating and was able to put us in a very clean and nice room. My only issue was I called for the price before we arrived spoke to the manager Courtney. She quoted me, $207. When I arrived 11:05 it was new staff and they wouldn't honor the price at first and wanted to charge me $270. After some stress, I was able to find the room for $207 on Booking.com. Showing this to the front desk employee, she finally charged us the $207. Room was clean, quiet and seemed like a good value for a Saturday in October.

Spending the weekend in Danvers. I found that this BW is a clean and quiet location. Seems to be well maintained, lots of parking and convenient to major highways. They also offer a veterans discount. I plan to stay here again whenever im in town.

When we asked to check in early and were told to return at 3 the regular check in time we should have realized we were not going to have a good night. Unfortunately many wedding attendees were staying in our hotel and they scattered them throughout making it impossible to sleep when they returned between 1:30 and 3 am. The front desk then was very unhelpful and basically didn't seem to care.

I left a bag behind with a prescription, jewelry & toiletries. The bag was not found. In other words someone did not turn it in & kept it. I loved this hotel but will never stay again due to the poor integrity of the staff.

This is reasonable ‘run of the mill' hotel, a few points above a good motel. I think that it gets the Plus because it has a gym and a pool. In general it is quite serviceable and efficient but I found the self-service breakfast to be wanting, especially since it closes at precisely 9:29am. The reception staff are courteous and friendly and the housekeeping staff deserve praise. Of course it is conveniently located.

I was so lucky to find this hotel after my business was unexpectedly extended another day. I had spent an awful night at the Comfort Inn (see my review) and needed to find somewhere else to stay. This hotel price matched and for the same money was head and shoulders above!! The room was clean and comfortable, complete with refrigerator and microwave. There is a beautiful outdoor sitting area with firepit, pool, gym etc. Breakfast was also included although I didn't have any so I can't really comment, but it looked like a very nice presentation. I was traveling alone and felt very safe at night; the parking lot was very well lit and there was a security guard.

Very nice nice hotel only 25 mins away from Boston. Nice rooms, friendly staff and great complimentary breakfast available. Located right next to the highway which makes it easy to get to and has a huge well lit parking lot so you don't have to worry about finding a parking spot.

I have to say that upon checking in, I was not happy with the condition of the hotel. It's definitely lacking some general upkeep. We stayed here 3 nights and in the end, it was okay and served our purpose as a base for exploring the NE, but not what I expected with all the good reviews. Our room had missing caulk, ceiling tiles caving in or pushed up, mold and dust in the exhaust fan in the bathroom, missing enamel on the tub, etc. The bathroom was also small. We had 4 people in the room, but housekeeping wouldn't leave the appropriate number of either washcloths and/or towels and we had to go to the front desk to ask for more every day. The front desk personnel were just okay and did their job, but not very friendly or welcoming. We saw a hairball in the elevator that remained during our stay. We had to sign a form that said the hotel was not responsible for theft of items in our room so we ended up taking our valuable items and leaving them in the car every day. Just a whole bunch of things that the hotel could do better for the price paid.

Was very surprised to be honest, we had a great stay . The breakfast was awesome, lots to choose from! Love having coffee available at all times! The pool was a tad small but was clean and we enjoyed it. Rooms were clean and fresh. Staff were very friendly and helped out when we needed recommendations for food and things to do! The beds and pillows were sooo comfy too!

Being a Mrs. MONK, The hotel has to be clean, from appearance outside to the lobby, right onto the room . This hotel is very clean, staff are awesome and very helpful. The location is safe, which is a biggie with me. Close to major highways, Malls (2miles),Restuarant/bar across the street (Italian) Enjoyed breakfast, attentive breakfast staff. Comfortable beds, family friendly,indoor pool, workout area, and guest laundry ( all close at 10 pm) and room key is needed for access. They have a nice firepit area out back, with comfy chairs. Just a very nice hotel that met all my needs.

Spent 4 days visiting my childhood home town. Hotel was conveniently located and clean. Bed was comfortable and room was a decent size. Good warm and cold choices for breakfast. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

This Best Western Plus is very clean, with super friendly staff. The room is big, with fridge n microwave. Complimentary breakfast is plentiful, so much selections. Excellent for families with little kids.

My husband and I visited this hotel this past weekend Sunday and Monday. We arrived on Sunday at 3:55pm after being out in the blazing heat and humidity all day touring Salem. We figured we go back to the hotel and cool off and unwind before supper. We were rudely told that we “were a little early” and Alan the man at the front desk “didn't know if we would have a clean room yet”. Five minutes early and there wasn't a clean room to be had? Doubtful. After waiting 5-10 minutes to get checked in we discovered we had been placed on the 5th floor. When I made reservations I specifically asked for a second or third floor room for personal reasons. However our 5th floor room was very nice and tucked away from the hustle and bustle of everyone which was nice. The full complementary breakfast was outstanding. There are several tables in the breakfast room that need attention and they are uneven and spill your beverages. This morning the dining area was trashed due to the numerous guests that did not clean up after themselves. I felt very sad for your staff as they had their work cut out for them. Overall our experience was decent and it was a place to lay our heads at night. I did not feel it met the reviews from other guests but everyone has different standards.

This location is great if you are flying into Boston and planning to visit the historic Salem area. It's north of Boston, yet close which gets you out of traffic and offers you room to move around. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet is great. They even offer good blueberry scones with the breakfast pastries which is a nice touch. The breakfast area is large and easy to move around in. If you like spectacular ice cream and have never had Richardson's ice cream, there is one a couple miles away. We stumbled across it and were amazed at the 30 or so flavors and huge scoop sizes.

Staff was kind and helpful, lobby appearance was great! Coffee, other beverages and snacks always available...great breakfast, clean pool, nice outside patio, and quiet nights. But...my sheets were stained, blanket was dirty in all corners and I had to clean my headboard! There appeared to be drops of something all over it! The mattresses were hard and NOT encased with a cover, which honestly you think would be a priority with the horror stories you hear of about bugs! Please work on the mattress encasement and room cleanliness...I probably wont book a room again there until the mattress and bed issue are resolved!

This Best Western was picked by chance. We were looking for a last minute deal since we were running ahead of schedule. Arrived to find a very decent hotel. The lobby was well decorated and check in was very quick. The room was well appointed and very clean. The lighting was good and the bed felt comfy and we rested well. My only complaint was the shower due to the water restrictor in the line. Sorry, but I do not want to spend extra time in the shower in order to wash the soap off. Otherwise, I recommend this hotel.

This hotel was clean, which is sadly hard to find in affordable hotels. Nothing fancy, but it was comfortable and accommodating to needs. Offers basic amenities and included food for sale in the lobby for you to cook in your room. Breakfast was basic but yummy.

Super cozy hotel, near everything in Danvers even if you need to go to Salem it's 15 minutes driving. Great restaurants near, highways, Walmart, gas station, nice view. Breakfast included, free parking

I left my favorite pajamas in the room. I called three times on two separate days so I can pick it up. The maid probably took it home and did not report it. The staff did not even care to investigate or call me for an update. Really bad service. No customer care.

Arrived at 1:30 in the morning. Checkin was smooth. Clerk was friendly, knowledgable and efficient. Had to leave early so was glad to have a breakfast available. Food was above average for this type of buffet breakfast.

I don't know exactly when this hotel was built, but it looked new and very clean. It's big too. It's 15 miles north of Boston and 7 miles from Salem. We used this as our base to visit Boston/Cambridge. Boston hotels are very expensive in summer. For something like this, it's easily $300+ a night. We didn't mind the 25 min driving into Boston. On Sundays, it's possible to get free on-street parking in Boston/Cambridge. Weekend garage parking is also generally cheaper than weekdays. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the town of Danvers is only 7 miles from Salem. So we visited Salem briefly. And found out that the town of Danvers used to be Salem Village, where much of the Salem Witch Trials took place. What I am most impressed with the Best Western Plus at North Shore is the excellent breakfast. Probably the most variety in any 2.5 star chain motels. First, the breakfast room is very large, plenty of tables. The food selection is plenty. There are several varieties of fruits, several variety of yogurt and Greek yogurt, both pancake and waffle maker, both boiled and scrambled eggs, sausage, Canadian bacon, and bacon (bacon was only available on 1 of the 3 days that we stayed). Of course, the usual stuff, pastry, bagel, toast, biscuit and gravy, etc. Even though the motel is nearly full on Saturday night, there was no wait for getting any food. The motel is also located off the highway (Route 1), so it's quite. The beds are comfortable. The only complaint I have is the wall's thin. On our first night of stay (Saturday night, Sunday morning), we could hear people talking outside of our room around 6am. But, it was summer weekend, and it was busy. The other nights were fine.

This is a revisit. A year ago we had gone to the hotel, while it was still converting to new management, and we had not been very happy. Now it is well-settled, renovated, and provides a very comfortable and pleasant experience to travelers. The staff were all helpful and friendly, the room was big, very clean, and had everything we needed (especially a comfortable bed and good temperature control), and the "surround" of lobby, breakfast, and exercise center/pool (though we did not get to use it) made for an excellent travel experience. I gave it a "four" because there was some noise in the lobby and the room was just next to it. We called and things quieted down, but later in the wee hours there was unfortunately noise again. But I would recommend the place highly based on this past experience.

We flew into Boston on a late evening/early morning flight and we needed a place to stay before heading to Maine. Our flight was delayed and we didn't get to the hotel until 2:00 a.m. We found a parking space, which thrilled us as many times parking can be a challenge late at night. We had prompt service at the counter on check in. The room was prepared for 3 people. It was comfortable and the hotel was very quiet in the morning. After a disastrous stay at a Best Western in another state, a week earlier, I was pleased to see not all Best Westerns are the same.

High praise for all of the staff we encountered, and especially Brianna at the front desk. They are really focused on ensuring those who stay have a great visit. [Having staid that....... I am not sure we'd stay here again because the roof is covered with cell towers, and I'm not sure about staying right under that high of a concentration of signals. I know it's a revenue stream but would encourage BW to reconsider their choices....] Formerly a Comfort Inn - BW has really stepped up their brand, and has invested in their properties. I commend on that point.

I'm there frequently with large groups and have nothing but positive things to share about the hotel. It is clean, updated, with very large rooms, and an extremely attentive staff. The breakfast is free and it is serious. They offer an array of beverages, eggs, meats, breads, donuts and rolls, pancakes, and toast. The breakfast area is huge and expertly managed by the hotel kitchen staff. The front lobby is spacious, clean, and offers nice seating with a style that reminds me of 1960s retro EPCOT. Rooms have the most comfortable beds I've encountered and include refrigerators and coffee makers. I'm always happy when Best Western Plus North Shore Danvers pops up on my travel itineraries. 5 stars folks.

Well appointed hotel with some very nice upgrades. Good to see larger screen TV's making their way into hotels. Only stayed the one night after arriving in Boston and travelling up to Bangor. Very easy to find and excellent value. Good breakfast of the continental kind but good range of items. Would recommend.

Hotel was easily accessible for our needs during this trip. Upon arrival, had a wonderful young man check us in and explain the facilities. Unfortunately we found our room to have a soggy carpet. Returned to check in to have our room changed and that carpet was less soggy than the first one but since we were tired from our encounter with rush hour traffic we unpacked. Carpet was dry by next morning. Other than carpet issue, our stay was great!

Staff was very friendly and the room was very clean. Breakfast didn't have as many options has some places we have stayed, but it was good and quite acceptable. Plenty of seating and nice atmosphere. They did have a nice coffee bar available all day.

We had a great overnight stay, parking and check-in were a breeze. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. There was also a nice outdoor fireplace area to sit around and talk. The pool was a good size with a decent amount of seating area.

This place came along way before becoming a best western. The staff here is awesome, it's very clean, plenty of parking, the breakfast is one of the best I had for a continental breakfast, plenty of hot food here!

Overall a very good hotel and location. Great customer service and big rooms. Definitely will stay here again the next time I am in Massachusetts. The breakfast was good with a good selection of choices.

Very clean room with attached bath, microwave and mini-fridge. Plenty of towels, laundry facilities and free cookies at night. The breakfast buffet was well stocked. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I didn't see the laundry room closed at 10:00 and a staff member helped me retrieve it immediately. I highly recommend this hotel.

Perfect location to anywhere in Northern Massachusetts. Fantastic room value and very clean. I always stay here when visiting family. Love the renovations and relaxing by the firepit. Highly recommend.

We drove to MA from NH to celebrate a family birthday at a local restaurant. We decided to stay overnight at an area hotel. The only request from our kids was that the hotel had to have a pool. Best Western Plus in Danvers, MA seemed to fit the bill. The entrance to the hotel was a bit funky - it was sort of a turn onto a main road then an immediate turn into the hotel entrance. Plenty of parking. Warm cookies in the lobby later in the afternoon and 24-hour coffee bar were definite perks. Friendly clerk at check-in. We were informed of the time of the free continental breakfast and the pool hours. Our room was on the lobby level, which was the second floor. The fitness room and pool were located a level down by elevator, which was the first floor. We unpacked and headed out to the family birthday celebration and returned to the hotel about 7 pm. We got changed and headed to the pool. We were met with a sign on the pool area door which read that the pool was closed. We went up to the lobby to speak with the clerk. We were not the only guests inquiring. We were told that the pool would be available in a FEW DAYS. I cannot tell you how disappointed, beyond disappointed, our kids were. I told the clerk that we should have been told that the pool was not available on check-in and at least we would have had the opportunity to either find other accommodations with a pool in the area or drive home and save $200. Literally, the only reason we chose this hotel, aside from the close proximity to the restaurant that we went to, was for the pool. Very disappointed. The location of the room on the second floor, which is the main level, was less than ideal. There was a lot of lobby noise and that did not make for a restful night of sleep. On check-out I let the clerk know that we were very disappointed that the pool was unavailable and we should have been informed at check-in, and we did not have a good night's sleep because of the lobby noise. "Sorry" was the only response. So no pool and poor sleep. Beyond disappointed. We do not recommend staying on the second floor, lobby level. Much too noisy if you want a quiet area conducive to restful sleep. The property was clean, it was a nice hotel. However, for us, it was a disappointing experience.

Everything about this hotel was awesome, it was clean, modern, spacious and had the nicest staff. I will definitely be coming back here. About 15 minutes from Salem, and also close to Boston. A little pricey, but worth it

Once again, the staff at the hotel was stellar. Very welcoming and professional. The room was spotless, breakfast excellent and the grounds pristine. My great Dave Service Dog was very welcome there as well. The beds were phenomenal, too. Excellent nights of restful sleep. We will be back!

Despite other online reviews, this facility is old & tired. The room & bathroom were small. Breakfast was mediocre. We stayed in a BW Plus the nite before & it was less costly & much nicer. The hotel has no elevator so if you're on the second floor you will be lugging your bags up the stairs. Bottom line - this room was over priced & not good value for the money. Such much for the inflated rating scores on Booking.com and other sites.

Best hotel in or near the Boston area! Great service, easy check-in and check-out, clean indoor pool. There is even and outdoor fire pit to sit around to enjoy quiet talks with friends and family. Future trips to Boston include stays at the Best Western Plus in Danvers!!

We stayed here after a long, delayed flight from the West coast. The hound man who served as our customer service rep was awesome!!! In addition, our room was quite nice. There was a group of young adults in the same floor and we thought, uh oh. Howevser, after several door slams someone from the hotel counseled the young people.

Visited this hotel with a school group- it was perfect for this purpose. The rooms were very spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast provided a nice variety to choose from. A very comfortable place to stay. It was quite far from Boston, So you'd really need a form of transportation to get around.

Very nice, large rooms! Comfortable beds with full breakfast. Microwaves and small refrigerators! Very nice and helpful staff. Despite some of the large, unruly groups that were staying there, the staff was able to keep things quiet and under control

I booked this hotel for a business trip, not realizing until I got there that I had already stayed there once before (3 years ago or so). The hotel has clearly been updated since I'd stayed there last, and they did a very good job. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. There was a little bit of sound bleed from the room next door, but it turned out not to be a serious problem at all. Same with the hallway - voices seemed to carry quite a bit, but it was pretty much silent after about 10:30 on a Friday night. There were several high school and college groups and teams, and I was nervous that it would be loud, but the hotel did a good job of grouping them together so they didn't bother one another or the other guests.

My family enjoyed our stay very much here. The hotel has been recently updated, the room and hotel were both very clean. The breakfast was very good, they had lots of differentiations options. Only giving it four stars for two reasons: We could hear a lot of noise in the hallway, even though the people passing were not being particularly disruptive. The location. It's oddly situated. Although it's very close to the highway, the directions of the surrounding roads make it inconvenient to come and go from. There also is not a ton of food/ convenience store opportunities in the immediate vicinity.

Was in town for the USPHL hockey tournament. Clean and comfortable, recently updated, with a decent breakfast to boot. Only downside is that the room doors don't drown out much of the hallway noise - and the room doors slam pretty loudly. The quiet time policy wasn't policed particularly well during my stay - at least not on my floor - but given the circumstances I wouldn't necessarily let that prevent me from staying there again. I'd just want to know if there were any sports teams staying there at the same time.

I stayed at the best western hotel plus in Danvers. I was told it had been a pretty recent remodel. I liked the hotel. It was comfortable and easy. Exactly what I was looking for and more for such a quick work trip. Loved the gym set up they had, although it was really warm in there-made the work out better in that sense I guess. And I really enjoyed having the indoor pool. I thought it was a very nice layout and it was nice to have that option. I overall really enjoyed staying there and would again!!

Hotel staff was very friendly upon arrival- hotel is very clean/ modern and room even smelled FRESH. Pool area is clean and nice escape from the snow. Kids loved it. Staff was also very accommodating to a late checkout request- the friendliness matters when traveling with 3 kiddos especially! Will stay here again!

The hotel as well as staff are very pleasant. The problem is I need a handicap room as to my husband is in a wheelchair. The beds are very very high due to a thick mattress which many would find comfortable. However the safety risk is very high due to having to “jump” into bed, then getting out of bed to bathroom.

I usually stay here when in town for family and business purpose. This was the most disappointing stay ever. Tired and unenergetic staff, broken fridge that was reported and luckily fixed and noise of group in the dinning hall at night to hear entire conversation. Noise was reported but nothing result from it and continued until midnight. Breakfast was very simple and malfunctioning waffle machines and staff were not very enthusiastic there either. It usually is alot better than this. I am hesitant for a next time at this time.

Stayed here for a night on business. Front desk staff was friendly. Parking lot was large, but on a hill. Room was standard, no issues with anything. Wifi was fast and easy to connect. Breakfast was more than average. A lot of different choices for hot and cold breakfast.

Spent two nights here while visiting family and friends. The entire time the water was barely lukewarm. Way too cold to take a bath, and barely warm enough to take a shower in the morning. Housekeeping never made up my bed the first morning - hope they did after I left. Bed was uncomfortable and the heat unit very loud. Had breakfast around 7:30 - 8:00 each morning - the food was fine but I was the only one in the breakfast room - sort of creepy. Desk staff all had tattoos. Sorry, call me old fashion but I don't want to look at them nor does make a good impression. I'd suggest you book a stay at one of the other many hotels in the area.

After reading the reviews, I thought the hotel would be nicer. I wasn't really disappointed by anything. It's just a very average hotel, almost nondescript. The lady checking us in was tired. She yawned three times and didn't offer us more help than she absolutely needed. The rooms are decent, but I took one cold shower because of the limited hot water supply, and the in-room coffee is of a low grade, and the remote was not easy to use. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. The hotel is not very close to restaurants. The breakfast was decent, but again the coffee quality was less than I expected. I would give it a very average rating. Perhaps I just expected more based upon the other reviews.

It was an incredible experience. I faced the rooms and the pool was lovely. A quiet place to spend as a family. The breakfast was delicious. It also has attractions nearby like Coco Key!! Was fun !!!!

This is the first time that we've stayed at this hotel and we can't believe how nice it was!!!! We were exhausted from visiting Salem all day yesterday and this motel was exactly what we needed! The staff was very friendly, the room was amazing, the location was great, and they had coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and cookies in the lobby. There was also a gym and indoor pool! The price of our room was very reasonable too. What more could you ask for???!!! I'd definitely recommend staying at the hotel!!!!

The property is well maintained, the furnishing are up to date, the beds comfortable and an excellent staff. This is a very nice hotel and we were well satisfied with the overall experience. I would highly recommend it.

Dual carriageway until the last one hundred yards then be careful, the access is at a road junction. Plenty of free parking. Reception on the first floor (USA 2) wonderful, they had received and stored parcels pending my arrival. The reception is warm and pleasant. Artwork throughout the hotel was very interesting. Decorations throughout were in good order. Our bedroom was on the ground floor (USA 1), it was well furnished and comfortable. An excellent breakfast was included. The pool was cold during our stay due to a broken boiler (it was being worked upon). Unfortunately the pool room was also cool.

I always find the staff work very hard to meet and exceed, visitors stay. Rooms are clean , beds are super comfy .There is a small plaza with restaurant and convenience store 7-11? and few other small stores close by.

So, bear with me for this review: Pros: Clean room, plenty of parking, fridge in room, quiet, close enough to Salem to be a good resting point for a trip to Salem not directly IN Salem. Friendly staff. Good Free breakfast. Cons: A bit annoying to get to (location based on the split highway) but that entire area is like that. Would be tricky without a GPS. While there is plenty of parking, it's up hill (poor planning when building the facility). Had a shower that didn't work well-- tub didn't drain well and there was no water pressure, so I spent 2 days with soap residue in my hair. Was told on check in that there weren't any other available rooms, so I just dealt with it. Hard for me to believe that there were no other rooms in the entire hotel, but okay (parking lot not even close to full). On check out I told the manager the problem and he seemed concerned and was going to have maintenance get right on it. Hope that happened. Overall not a bad experience. Over-priced in my opinion given location. Suspect I was lied to on check in about having no other available rooms but can't prove it, but it did leave a bad taste in my mouth.

A good hotel for staying a night when travelling to or from Boston. Easy accessible and with a big parking space. Good rooms, good breakfast, good lobby and a warm swingingpool. Several restaurants within a 10 minutes drive.

This was an affordable and surprisingly nice motel option for this area. The breakfast was better than most and the building is newly renovated. Sleep was quiet and comfortable. Intend to stay there again!

We stayed here for one night after flying into Boston airport. We were traveling up to New Hampshire so wanted to stay north of Boston. About a 30 minute drive from the airport. Not the easiest to find off the freeway but sat nav helped. Arrived late but pleasantly and efficiently booked in. Our room was big and clean. Modern furniture. The AC was very noisy so had to turn it off. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very good with a good selection. Only complaint was the hotel is a bit isolated with nothing near by. We were able to order some food into our room but fancied popping out. Overall a decent place to stop which suited our needs

The hotel is what you expect from a Best Western: clean, comfortable rooms, free coffee, good breakfast. Staff were pleasant, shower was good, parking was ample so no real complaints. The location isn't great, as there is nothing within walking distance, so you have to drive even to get something to eat.

room 310 king 2 nights After a somewhat tricky turn from the hwy/local street & up a very steep hill you arrive at what appears to be quite a new hotel. Nicely kept yard & large clean parking lot. This hotel is very handy to I 95 & US 1; not so much to get to the shore. Check-in was fast, we were welcomed as members. Not a warm fuzzy welcome but efficient. The common areas were clean & bright, nearly blindingly bright with lots of white & bright green & blue walls and furniture. Beautiful patio w/ fire-pit. 24 hr coffee/tea. Room 310 is very large --has large wasted floor space just inside the door. Pluses: good lamps, large couch, nice tv (so-so channel choices), quiet, clean, shower/tub combo Minuses: only one bench for suitcase--no stands,, noisy a/c, art sterile, modern Breakfast was in large room & had the usual, expected items. The guest laundry had good equipment but the room needed a good cleaning

There was a wedding party on our floor that thought they had the entire floor. Had to call security twice in order for them to shut up after midnight. Front desk did not seem to be concerned about it.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights earlier this week prior to flying to Dublin from Boston. We were efficiently checked in by Alan and were perfectly happy with our huge room on the first floor ie basement. We made good use of the guest laundry (detergent available from reception for $1 per load) and were surprised at the size of the pool and quality of the gym. Beds were very comfortable and we slept well. There is nothing really close to the hotel, so you need to use the car for everything, but there is plenty of free parking available. The free buffet style breakfast is very comprehensive, with a good selection of hot and cold items. My only complaint would be that the toasters took forever! The entire property is very clean and well maintained, as are the grounds. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. At $130/night, best value on boston's north Shore. It looks like a regular hotel in the pictures, but they do not do justice. Best of all is the friendly service (especially Alan at front desk). Lots of unexpected extras like a pool, very clean rooms, a fridge & microwave in the room, cookies each afternoon in the lobby, and a breakfast buffet each morning. Thanks so much!

Our family stayed here during our daughter's wedding weekend. It is very nicely decorated in modern, bright colors. Front desk help is not overly friendly but hotel is clean, big, and attractive. The beds in our room were very comfortable, and the room is roomy. Bathroom has granite counter tops, tile floors, and new tubs. The breakfast is decent, a variety of hot foods including eggs (powdered?) bacon, sausage, ham, waffles, biscuits and gravy. Fresh fruit, coffee, juices, bread for toast, pastries. They put out fresh cookies in the evening and always have ice water and lemon water on hand. Large parking lot with plenty of parking. The only negative I would say is the smell in our room was unpleasant. I noticed our pillow cases smelled sour, as if they had been left in washer too long before putting in dryer. Other than that, we were very pleased with our stay.

Convenient location for activities on the North Shore and easy route into Boston as well. I blocked rooms for guests xoming in for a wedding that was at Peirce Farm it Topsfield, and the trip between the hotel and venue was quick and easy. All the guests were very happy. The patio, the pool, and thw breakfast were a bonus. Staff was great!

Stayed at this hotel for 4 days while visiting Salem. Rooms are super clean with microwave and fridge. Beds are very comfortable. Only thing I found slightly inconvenient was bathroom was a tad smallish and towels were scratchy. Workout room and pool were also great. Breakfast was typical buffet style hotel breakfast, but was good and food was kept warm and well stocked. Really enjoyed free cookies at night as well. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area and would use again.

This is one of the nicest Best Westerns we have ever stayed at. The location was easy to get to, but not so close to the highway that it would be noisy. Close to great places to eat & local comedy clubs.

My husband and I arrived after 7:00 pm and had no issues with our check in. The girls at the desk were swift and polite. The only thing I was surprise with was that they were not able to give us directions to the nearest fast food location. Since we were on the road all day and was not familiar with the area, it would have been nice to receive a few locations. The girls actually looked as if it was there first time being in the area as well. Our room was nice and big with a fridge and microwave. Our bathroom was fine and we had room service everyday. The floor we stayed on was nice and quiet and we even had an opportunity to go for a swim. At breakfast, the food was good and I was able to have fruit each morning. The only problem we had was that the laundry facilities closed early and we were not able to take advantage of it. We found the location was perfect for us.

The hotel was newly renovated which was nice, welcome was professional from the night auditor. Bathroom had mildew in the grout, a dirty ceiling fan and toothpaste on the wall. The breakfast hot items were lukewarm. Service wasn't a problem just the basics. Would I return? Maybe, but I will check other options first.

I wish Best Western bring their standards higher and not put their name on sub standard hotels like this one. Registration was like registering for your prison sentence. Lobby - ugly and un inviting. Absolutely no amenities.... what a disaster of a place. Don't stay here if you can possibly avoid it.

We were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the room. Beds were very comfortable, breakfast was very good. We had hoped to use the pool which was one of the reasons for choosing this hotel but the water was very murky and you couldn't even see the floor of the pool. Very disappointing.

Rooms are clean and comfortable as was pool. Useful guest laundry. Breakfast was good but very busy. Microwave in room was useful. Reception has food items such as pizza that you can buy for microwave if you are arriving late or need a snack.

Staff was very helpful, professional and Room was very clean and comfortable. Our arrival and check in were met with courtesy and made easy my front desk staff. The housekeeping staff were friendly and quick to meet any need that arose.

This hotel has up-to-date rooms in a convenient location. We did not need to utilize many of the conveniences that the hotel offered, but we had a nice breakfast in the morning before heading out. Would definitely stay here again.

The main things are there - room was clean, large, comfortable and have all the usual amenities including a microwave and mini-fridge. Staff were friendly. I had to ask twice for an extra pillow although it was promptly delivered on the second request. Also, the evening front desk staff was honest about the fact that he didn't live in the area and couldn't recommend any local restaurants as he's only ever been to one. Too bad they don't have front desk staff with more local knowledge. They have a good sized gym and a moderate sized pool. One item that dropped the score down was the mess of the pool. The railings were lose and unsafe. And there was substance on the surface of the less than clear water. The pool wasn't useable. They do have a complimentary breakfast in a large room. They had all the usual items. It wasn't busy at all but we were there on Monday and Tuesday. Hotel is oddly in a residential area but it is a short drive from a number of great restaurants, including many chain restaurants like Olive Garden & Cheesecake Factory. They do have charges stations for electric vehicles. Also, they have washing machines and dryers.

This Is a fabulous hotel - really enjoyed our time here. The reception staff were lovely all the time, its welcoming, the rooms are great, beds are very comfy, there's good parking here. When I chose it, I didn't quite realise how far out of Boston it was, but you can drive to Wonderland Station and get on the subway from there so easily! The breakfast was lovely and a really good choice of items - I would definitely stay here again.

We arrived at Logan quite late in the evening and were grateful that we had booked a night in the Boston area, before driving on to Maine. This hotel is really convenient for the airport and far enough out of Boston not to have to worry too much about rush-hour traffic in the morning. The check-in was a bit slow, but this was due to an emergency a bit earlier, and once we were looked after it was fast and efficient. The room was enormous, the bed was really comfortable and in no time we jet-lagged Brits were asleep. Lovely bathroom, with a good selection of good quality toiletries. And an extensive breakfast buffet set us up for the long drive to Bar Harbor.

Good, cheaper hotel located fairly close to Salem in Danvers. The drive to Salem is only 20ish minutes and wasn't terrible to do. The rooms were very clean, the staff friendly, the bathrooms were nice, and the breakfast was delicious. The only thing to be cautious is it is on a hill, so the trek from your room to the car will be up a small steep hill however there are stairs provided. The customer service was great and overall our stay was good. We would definitely come back.

One of the best stays I've ever had. Clean rooms. Good breakfast. But the staff really stands out. Steve and Keri helped me so much. They seemed genuinely interested in how my stay was going. I just want to thank both of them for making my stay as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend this hotel.

Besides being convenient to the local attractions we were visiting, this was one of the cleanest hotels we have been too. This hotel was recently renovated and was exceptionally spotless. They offer a good breakfast. Only concern was that the eggs an ham were cold although plenty of food. need better mechanism to keep the food much hotter.

Second time staying here. Clean, modern, friendly registration desk (Allaan very helpful), rooms very Quiet, etc etc. Top notch place. Surprisingly affordable. Continental breakfast very nice with variety, eating area spacious and clean. Close to Boston, Gloucester, Salem, etc. Large, well lit free parking. Total winner of a hotel.

we decided to head out to the coast at the last minute. this is a highly traveled area so we knew it would be hard to find a place to stay. they went out of their way to provide us with the room we needed. the hotel was very clean and organized. the staff was very helpful and we were close to our destination. the online booking service was very courteous and helpful and fulfilled all of our needs.

Stayed 2 nights. We wanted to be out of Boston, but still close enough to visit if we wanted, and close to Salem. Rooms are nice, staff are friendly and helpful, good breakfast. Would stay here again for sure.

Very nice accommodations, beds are extremely comfortable. The location is a little confusing at first but old New England towns have a lot of character and few straight roads. This was a good location for us since we were doing a conference at Gordon College and wanted something more comfortable than dorm housing. Overall a very good stay and reasonable value/

Stayed 1 night, on our way back from Maine vacation. Since this is newly renovated, we expected but sis not get basic hotel room features. First, the bathroom: not towel bars or hooks, just 3 wooden shelves piled with towels. Place to hang wet hand towels? No. Place to hang wet bath towels? Not in the bathroom-we used the handles on the dresser in the room. Luggage racks? Nope. When we asked front desk, were told nobody has ever asked for a luggage rack before. Guess that explains why one of our beds covered in gritty dirt-the last guest used it as a luggage rack. The hot breakfast was not the worst but eggs were just those disks used to make egg sandwiches. Only put out flavored creamers for coffee and tea (used milk put out for cereal). Can't recommend this - just too annoying about room basics and overall cleanliness.

We were going to be in town for my son's college graduation and his wedding the next day.... one thing about Boston area, traffic is terrible. This BW location was mostly between the 2 locations. The hotel grounds are beautiful, good parking, hotel room was clean. They have a very nice gym & pool area. Lovely outdoor seating area with a gas fireplace. Location was perfect for our needs. Some beach areas also were within a very reasonable distance from the hotel. Staff was very accommodating. I actually don't have any pictures of the hotel, but it was very nice. Oh... my only complaint- out room had one of those doors you could open to access the next door room.... ugh! You can hear right through those walls. There were high school kids touring colleges and they were loud. But complained if we had conversation in our room.... so we spent a lot of time in the breakfast area with the rest of our family.

My husband and I stayed for one night on a random last minute trip to Salem. We literally found this hotel on our drive and booked it on our way. The two guys at the front desk were very nice and welcoming and gave us great recommendations for local bars and hangouts. The room was very clean and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The free breakfast was amazing and had such a great selection! Overall my husband and I were very happy with our stay and will stay again!

check in was great friendly staff i will stay there again, love the decor in the bedroom, my friends were happy they wanted to stay more nights. i liked the breakfast , overall i enjoyed my stay there.

We checked into the hotel very tired from travelling all day. We were immediately greeted by the friendly staff at the front desk who checked us in quickly. We booked a standard king room and we were pleasantly surprised at the size of it. The room was very clean and everything was modern. Breakfast had tons of options to choose from and the waffles were delicious! We also enjoyed the nice pool and patio (that even had a fire pit). The hotel's in a great location, not too far from Boston and Salem but out of the way enough to avoid a lot of traffic. We would definitely stay here again!

Great hotel.. the rooms were huge! But they made up for the size of the bathroom which was small! The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfy! However some of the staff could do with being a bit friendlier!!

The hotel was good, clean and the beds were to die for, I slept like a log! The bedrooms were large but the bathroom small! On arrival the receptionist was miserable and didn't even crack a smile... However we unfortunately lost a suitcase and due to jetlag we were up at 4am and the man on reception then was absolutely lovely! Breakfast was fabulous! Lots of choice! Overall a fantastic stay!

Bed was fine. Breakfast good. Pool and hot tub best feature. Toilet seat too small for toilet. Towels like sandpaper and mismatched. Closet was put together wardrobe not fit clothes in unless want to remove ironing board that took all space. Overall not as nice as other hotels in the same class category.

Staff was wonderful,rooms nice and clean. Will definitely stay here again. Great breakfast and coffee available all day .Indoor pool area was nice and clean also. Overallit was a very comfortable stay.

Comfortable stay, a little difficult to find but very nice property and ample parking. Very clean reception area and rooms. Recommended! Very friendly staff at check-in and check-out. Possibly nice breakfast, just a bit under attended for items that were out. A large busload of teenagers had been there, so they may have gone through the breakfast items quickly... but someone should have been monitoring the availability of foods.

Nice and clean, quiet, comfortable bed and good wifi. Only complaint is that I was not told there was free breakfast nor were there any signs stating so. I needed to contact hotel for a forgotten receipt and noticed on the website.

Nice newer hotel with lots of amenities. Great bed very comfortable. Nice full breakfast. Pool, exercise room, business center. Staff very friendly and helpful most had a smile all the time. Negative lots of smokers at the front door.

Very nice hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel had a water heater issue overnight so the shower was on the cool side in the morning. A/C worked well overnight. Hotel has a larger dining room for breakfast than most Best Westerns. Breakfast was OK but hot items were only slightly warm.

It is a well equipped hotel with great rates if booked in advance. The breakfast had a lot to offer and the rooms were very comfortable. Good environment for families. Right off a major road with plenty of parking.

We stayed in a king room. The room is very clean and beautifully decorated. The bed has crisp white bedding and is so comfortable! The staff is wonderful. We decided to stay an extra night to enjoy the area and visit Maine

Just finished a stay here in late June, 2018 for one night while in the Boston area for a wedding. The hotel was a last minute find near where I needed to pick up a tuxedo - turned out to be a great find. Room was ready early - around 1pm, huge room with 2 double beds, great cable TV & strong wifi, tons of free parking, friendly staff, and a pretty good breakfast with lots of room to sit.

I recently stayed here while traveling into Boston the next day. It was a great option, not far from downtown, and cheaper than being in the city. It was in a convenient location. The staff was friendly and helpful. The motel is clean and well maintained. The kids enjoyed the cookies and hot chocolate that were available. The pool looked nice even though we didn't use it. And there is a nice patio with a fireplace and chairs. Our room was spacious and well equipped with a refrigerator and microwave. There was even a little table to eat at. I liked the color scheme and decor. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. I would definitely return next time I need to find a place to stay near Boston.

I have to say one of the nicest best western I have been in. Staff was excellent. Rooms were clean. Pool was nice. I would recommend this property! Definitely if in the area again I will be staying here. ??

A little out of the way, but very quite and nice. Only about 30 minutes from Boston, so if you don't mind the drive this a great way to save a little cash. The only draw back is it don't have a resturanr however, there are several very good choices within 5 miles. Staff was very helpful and nice.

The building was renovated less than a year ago but it seems like a brand new building! The location is convenient and the staff was extremely helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. We spent a little time at night on the back patio by the fire pit....very nice touch! I would definitely stay here again.

The check in was fast and professional. We found our room to be big, clean and the beds just right. The bathroom was a bit small but well maintained and it smelled nice. The toiletries were plentyful. Breakfast is served in a big area, a bit formal

I choose to stay in New Danvers instead of staying right in Salem and saved a lot of money. This Best Western was very nice. Polite, helpful staff and very accommodating. Decent breakfast. I would recommend it.

The hotel was easy to find coming from the Boston airport (and not terribly far), it had a great parking lot, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was fantastic! This is one we have noted to definitely stay at again.

Arrived late and check in was easy and fast. The lobby was massive and well lit with a small area with essentials to buy. There was a coffee machine and cookies as well as a selection of syrups. All the corridors were wide and it had the impression of being upgraded recently. I was on the 5th floor at the end of the corridor. The room was a double queen and it was huge. There was a tiled area around the bathroom and it housed a fridge, microwave just by the bathroom door. It was very well appointed and very quiet. Breakfast was plentiful with choices of meats, eggs, waffles, baked goods and cereals. There was fresh fruit, eggs, yoghurts and juices. The breakfast area was very large and there was a selection of tables and bars to sit on. Good location just north of Boston and I am sure that you could commute into the city and save the expensive downtown hotels.

Only here 1 night for work. Staff were professional and friendly. I was on top (5th) floor facing route 1. Could not hear traffic at all. Room was huge and got a great night's sleep. Typical slamming door noise in the hallway but that is no fault of hotel. Mattress was just right, not too soft (I prefer firm) and I found it very comfortable. Had fridge, micro, good selection of channels on tv. Would definitely stay here again. Did not have breakfast, they had 2 busloads of Canadian students that all had a 6am wake up call and were all waiting for breakfast to open.

We have always enjoyed our BW Plus hotels. This one was no exception. Very clean in all areas, rooms well appointed and a full array of breakfast options (in a very large area). Being there for 5 nights, we requested a quiet room anywhere. The GM that worked on our reservations a week earlier made it a point to put us on the 5th floor. It was an excellent choice that we appreciated.

Stayed here for 4 nights while in the Boston area for vacation. Pretty easy to find. Staff was wonderful, extremely helpful. One night we heard a beeping noise that got louder the closer to the bathroom you got, and didn't hear it in the hallway until we went down to the main floor and heard it loud in one of the unoccupied rooms. We told the front desk, they investigate and fixed the problem. Rooms were clean, and pretty spacious. The market with snacks and drinks were priced very good. If we're ever in the Boston area again, this would be our go-to hotel

Clean room and comfortable beds, a little noisy early in evening but settled down by 10pm. Staff were pleasant. We didn't realize when booking online that we were getting a garden level room - the hotel is on a hill so there are several. Nothing wrong with our room at all, but something to be aware of when booking if you would prefer to avoid it.

We had a wonderful stay at the Best Western Plus in Danvers. The staff was friendly and helpful both in booking our stay and during our stay. The breakfast was great and our grandson loved the pool. The update to the property is unbelievable. It was a great stay.

Enjoyed our stay and it was well located for what we wanted to do in the region. I will include Best Western in my future choices of hotels. The staff was friendly and helpful. Easily accessible from RTE. 1.

First time staying at this hotel and pleasantly surprised. Was in the area for a youth basketball tournament at Danvers Indoor Sports and this property (set up on a nice hill) was only 6 minutes away. Rooms were nice size and beds were very comfortable; got a great weekend rate, which also made this a no-brainer. The hotel offers a very good free breakfast buffet and there are also numerous restaurant choices within 5 minutes. Indoor pool available, although I didn't use it. Staff was very friendly and check-in was easy. SIDE NOTE: During some free time, took a gorgeous drive through the lovely towns of Ipswich and Gloucester (20 minutes away) and got some killer scallops at J.T. Farnham's in Essex.

Everything was great, love the breakfast area lot of choice to eat and drink in morning, Room were clean, made it time. Staff was excellent since we got their. Room was Clean. Coffee was available 24 hours.

Jill Granger and all the staff were very helpful with arranging 40+ room reservations and function room rental for our large wedding group. Many rooms were available for early check in and all perfectly clean. The breakfast buffet had many delicious offerings and the pool area also great. The hilltop location and lovely green landscaping gives BWP a quieter advantage over busy Rt 1 traffic and congestion. Overall a great choice for groups or individuals enjoying activities and events North of Boston.

I loved this hotel!!! Nice, clean, spacious rooms. Great breakfast & the staff was excellent. We arrived late on a Friday afternoon & the staff set us up with a great room & greay rate. I would recommend this establishment to anyone as business or pleasure. Five stars from me.

Room was very clean. Beds comfortable. Hotel within 20 minutes of downtown. Staff was friendly. I do wish the firepit was open. I would stay here again if I was visiting Boston on a budget. I always rely on reviews when booking. You can rely on this hotel to be clean and affordable. No motel 6 here.
