Staff is unwilling to help and the rooms smell. There was hair in the shower and someone else's sock under my bed.. (during covid)!!! Do not stay here! Go to the holiday inn up the street near Walmart

The overall experience was well worth the money, just a few minor amenities issues with the room itself such as dresser drawers not aligning and the sink water pressure. The bed was comfortable, but the chair with the ottoman was not. The WiFi network worked very well and the number of TV channels far exceeded many of the hotels I have stayed in.

I'm not a picky person but I chose this hotel because I was it was close to my business endeavor. I should have shopped around. Positives the staff were friendly both check in and check out. The location was Great as well. That's it. Inside my room I literally thought it was under construction. Bondo on the walls, really stained ceiling, the curtains looked like someone had purposely spilled coffee pot after coffee pot on them. The tub had hair in it. The toilet tissue roll was broken and already 90 percent used. The toilet eww, bathroom paint gross The TV was broken it just flickered. I could hear the front desk attendants at night because of the location of the room and the lack of amenities. There was no room for me to swap to because of them being booked. Overall next time I'll literally stay in a sleeping bag inside my ride. I will not stay at a best western again because of this. I took pictures as well. Just shop around first. Again this may have been just this room but I will not know.

First time at this Best Western in Chalmette Louisiana. I often visit the area for work and play and I decided to try out this place. Its just outside of New Orleans without the crazies of being inside a large city. A great way to take a break from the city when you need a little peace and quiet. Great staff! Clean environment! Well decorated! Clean rooms!

Mold in the toilet and on the heating/cooling vents. Dirty spots all over the couch including “white” spots all over it, too. Night stand with water spots where it had not been cleaned from prior guest. A pill was laying on the base of the lamp! Dirty spots on the comforter. The sink had black around the drain. The whole room was disgusting. The room was a suite at $150 a night. The guy at the desk did take off $50 so I paid $100.00 to sleep in filth. Hotel was full. No other rooms available.

Best choice if you have to stay in Chalmette. Not much to choose from. The entrance and parking lot face the main busy hiway and that is the only way in or out. Also the walls are somewhat thin and you can hear your neighbors if they are rowdy.Pool and Fitness areas were closed because of Covid19 and the breakfast was bag in go as well.

the hotel was very nice and very clean, the beds were comfortable and the decor of the rooms and lobby were cozy. If you stay here make sure to talk to AJ the front desk manager, he is a delight and helpful with anything you are looking for in the area.

The hotel was so clean. It smelled so good. I really enjoyed my stay. I will be back. The breakfast was hot and good. The front desk workers was so friendly and welcoming. I would tell anyone to stay there.

We chose this hotel because of the proximity to New Orleans. It was in a good location with a short drive. Entering the hotel, it smelled amazing and clean. The beds were a bit hard but plenty of pillows to make up for it. The bathroom wad clean when we got there. No complaints. The hot breakfast was ok. The sausage was a little salty and cheese omelets were a little hard, but overall it was ok. It served its purpose. We would stay again.

The location is ideal between New Orleans and Slidell. Area shopping malls, restaurants and groceries This is the third time for staying at Best Western in Chalmette and would definitely consider it again..

I really enjoyed the hotel. The staff were great and very helpful. Dawn did a great job. I forgot the name of the gentleman that checked us in, but he was great also. The location of the hotel was in a safe area with plenty of places to eat.

I try to stay at this Best Western every time I am in the New Orleans area. The staff is very friendly and go to great lengths to please their customers. The breakfast is good and hot and plentiful. I highly recommend this Best Western hotel.

Nice place to visit, clean property, and great service. Good fishing close by, great food and restaurants close by. Staff was very attentive and went out of there way to help with anything that came up.

First time staying here but I will definitely be staying here when I am in this area. Employees are extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast was really good. Not one thing to complain about. The location is close to several places to eat and a grocery store if needed. Didn't get to use the pool but from what I could see the pool area was very clean.

Upon arrival i could tell the room was freshly cleaned. Some hotels will have the AC too warm in the room to save money. In this 90F summer heat it is nice to have the room at a comfortable temperature when you arrive. Friendly staff as always.

Went there because they had a pool but they closed it on Labor day even though their site said it was open til September 30. Was 98 degrees most of the week! Dirty towels left in room. No pressure for shower. Only hand held option for shower but no place to put above you and shower. Weird. Breakfast was the worst we had ever seen. Stale cereal in bins. Dried up, gross looking hard boiled eggs in fridge. Couldn't eat anything there so we went out. Only bright spot...front desk girl at night was WONDERFUL. Got us fresh towels and called around for a place for us to eat dinner.

This place sucks!!! The manager Liz Hymel was never available out of 9 nights we stayed there. We were told she also manages the Holiday Inn in Chalmette. I left numerous requests with Sharon for Liz to contact us. At one point Sharon claimed Liz was coming in but never shown up. Other clerks state she never shown up. Ended up having to contact BW Customer Service to get a response. Twice we had people beating/jumping on the floor and deprived of sleep. The third incident was beyond belief. We arrived at the hotel on Sat about 9:45pm. There was a group of individuals in the breakfast/lobby area extremely loud would be an understatement!! By 11:03 they were still carrying on. I went to the front desk and was told by AJ "I have it under control go back to your room!" It was not until 11:45pm was this group dispersed. Then they went to their room and started blaring a radio/TV. This started a chain reaction of doors slamming and pounding on doors. This carried on till almost 1am. We had a fishing charter scheduled and had to get up at 4am. We began on Sunday morning requesting to speak to the manager Liz Hymel and went until Wednesday morning until I called BW Customer Service. Spoke to Angel who documented my concerns, spoke to the hotel and told us we would be compensated upon checkout. Angel documented we would be credited $60. Upon checkout our compensation did not even total $50. Contacted BW Customer Service and spoke to Evelyn who was totally usless!!! The manager is not available period end of story. So we have traveled to the Holiday Inn for a face to face with MS Hymel. I think despite not being able to sleep on 3 separate occasions the last incident went on for way too long and we were deprived of a FULL NIGHTS SLEEP. I think it is reasonable to be refunded 1 night's stay. Will update as necessary.

Was not given points for booking room bc i went through a booking website. Even though i tried booking directly through hotel and they told me their rooms were fully booked, but i could book through a booking site. It did not make any sense.

Good Rates, Clean rooms, Nice Lobby & breakfast area. FREE Full/Hot Breakfast with a 24 hour coffee bar . Free Parking , Staff is very friendly and helpful. 20 Minutes to NOLA fun & restaurants . Don't miss exploring St. Bernard Parish while you are there, like the Chalmette Battlefield & National Cementary , Los Islenos Museum in Toca,La.

The hotel staff was great, we were greeted each time we came through the lobby. The room was very clean and comfortable. The pool was also very well taken care of. The breakfast was very nice my kids enjoyed making their own waffles every morning. I highly reccomend staying here.

I loved the hotel ; the breakfast, the beds, pillow and bath towels, the staff. I just did not like the area too much. But the hotel itself, I liked. I would stay there again if I had to. It was less expensive than New Orleans where I had to meet my family.

This is a quality hotel, at an affordable price. I love it! The staff was very nice. They greeted me upon my arrival. The lobby was nice and clean. My room was fresh and clean as well. The bathroom had an amazing clean sent as soon as I walked in.

I picked this hotel because I didn't want to the pay the obscene prices for a run-down french quarter hotel, our primary purpose in New Orleans was fishing so we needed good access to Campos Marina and Saint Bernard. This hotel did meet those necessities and is conveniently located to DECENT food options as well as a grocery store right across the parking lot. Our check-in was questionable as we booked through Priceline, who failed to pass the reservation along. At first the check-in clerk, A.J. was very apprehensive of our story and thought we were pulling a fast one at 12:30 AM. After some heated discussion, he quickly shifted to our side and went on the offensive for priceline and fought hard all the while getting us into a room. We later came to rely on A.J. for food recommendations and he definitely earned special mention. The facilities are typical of a 3 star hotel, although some parts of the breakfast could be improved/changed. If I ever come back for a fishing excursion, I will most likely come back to this spot as all of our captains had no problem picking us up and dropping us off. The Uber price to Bourbon Street was around $20, so it is out in the suburbs.

My room was clean, with good amenities and very comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent the two days I was there. The staff was very helpful, and the lady preparing breakfast was exemplary! Parking was adequate, and access to the freeway, and local attractions was outstanding.

The BW Plus was an excellent choice an we so enjoy our visit an stay. We were greeted with a warm reception at check in. The employees were very helpful in helping us pick out places to go an eat. We really enjoyed the FREE breakfast. It was hot food an a lot to choose from. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely book again.

I stayed at this best western because I had unexpected renovations done on my house and the staff could not have been more helpful in making my stay comfortable and enjoyable I was always greeted with a smile and when I needed anything they had it. If I needed extra towels I was able to get them with out question. I locked myself out one time and was able to get a new key by telling them my room number and ID. I felt very secure.

I always stay here when I go to the Doctors there at St Bernard Parish hospital. I have always enjoyed staying there . The staff are always friendly and helpful. AJ and Shay are the greatest. I always look forward to seeing them

Comfortable, clean and safe. Close to lots of amenities which is very handy. I was here for fishing out of Hopedale Marina. The proximity to Hopedale is good if you allow about 30 minutes for travel. Easy access to southeastern New Orleans in about the same amount of time.

Ist time visiting Louisiana and chose this hotel instead of the expensive cheap run down ones in the french quarter, and on bourbon st. And this best western was excellent. This rooms are nice clean and comfortable and the beds are soft. It in a easy access area to everything. The front desk clerks are very nice. And the front desk clerk (A.J ) was amazing he showed us things to do are town places to eat and places to avoid, every hotel needs a clerk like him. Thanks for everything, we will be back..

My 1st time to this best western, and the place is awesome very clean up to date and around restaurants etc. The front desk clerks are very nice and helpful. And the price is right, compared to staying in them high price run down hotels in french quarter and bourbon st.. the hotel gives you more for you money.

Nice hotel,room was clean and a good size. Miss Pamela was our breakfast hostess and cook and is an amazing lady, helpful and lovely inside and out.. She made our mornings there. Only downfall in my book is there is only one ice machine and was emptied by 8am from the line workers filling their coolers.

Extremely friendly staff. Well worth the extra drive time if your staying in New Orleans. Hotel was very well maintained. Would be a great training hotel. Every one we made contact with had a smile and seemed to like their job.

The only problems I had with the hotel was the lobby had a weird smell when I walked in and the eggs for the breakfast were not the best. Everything else was perfect. The bed was very comfortable and the tv and internet worked great. The staff was the best part of it all, they were all very friendly and helpful.

Great hotel, 20 mins distance from parking lot hotel to Downtown NOLA (traffic permitting and with our own designated driver), nice hotel personnel, clean and comfortable, nice town with many conveniences on walking distance (fast food places, restaurants and supermarket)

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The hotel has a great location with Keith's Po Boys and Winn Dixie within walking distance and it's an easy drive to the French Quarter. The staff was exceptional, our room was perfect and very clean, the shower had amazing water pressure, and the bed and pillows were very comfy. I would definitely stay here again.

Only place I will stay in Chalmette, The Staff is always polite and professional. The Rooms are clean and neat. The Full Breakfast is very nice and the coffee is always brewing!! Nice lobby to sit and talk with guest. Several restaurants to choose from in the area and only a 15- 20 minute drive to New Orleans/French Quarter. Love the warm cookies they serve in the lobby during the evening, such a Nice treat!

Excellent place to stay !!! Everything you need is located within miles of this hotel. Shops, fun, Entertainment and much, much more. The hotel offers free breakfast. The staff is superb and professional. AJ the front desk agent knows everything about the area and will offer suggestions. A safe, clean place to relax and enjoy.

The hotel was great for the money. The gentleman at the desk whose name is AJ was fantastic. He was so friendly I stood at the desk awhile just chatting to him. The breakfast was good and the employees was great and friendly.

We were expecting to be a little closer to the French quarter- about 20 minutes away but after being there I feel like this was the best location for a family type environment. We felt safe and the rooms and staff was nice. Maybe a little overpriced was the only bad piece.

My husband and I took a weekend getaway while he had a meeting for work. It was my first visit to the area and experience of New Orleans or surrounding areas. From the time we arrived at this hotel the staff were rude and unaccomodating. I was in complete shock. My husband was doing most of the talking and he is a kind, laid back man. He was treated like a dilenquent from the beginning of our visit. I have worked in hospitality for 15 years. I usually give a lot of grace to anyone working in the industry because I understand how rough and exhausting it can be. However, staying at this hotel put a real damper on my Louisiana experience and I don't think they qualify in the Southern Hospitality category! They seriously need a kick in the pants in customer service!

My husband and I along with 2 friends stayed here over Mother's Day weekend. The room was clean, Hannah at the front desk was very gracious and a pleasure to work with. The hotel was a great value being so close to New Orleans and away from the noise and crowds of the city. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay there again if we are in the area.

Clean rooms, great breakfast, clean hotel, friendly staff, affordable and good quality. Pool was clean. The hotel seemed new. The breakfast was plentiful and had very good variety. I would stay there again.

Stayed here during a visit to NOLA..very clean and well kept. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel. Even though out of main tourist area it was much better priced and still easy to drive into the city.

We were here for a hot air balloon event and found this to be a great Best Western— clean, spacious rooms and really friendly staff. A big, varied selection of hot and cold breakfast items, as well, and a short drive into the French Quarter.

This hotel is just a block away from Nunez Community College. Easy access from I10. Also only took 30 min to get to the French Quarter. Great breakfast, clean, quiet rooms. Could not hear many noises from the hallway or outside.

With a supermarket and some shop/restaurants/bar in the close vicinity it is a worthy place to stay some nights when in the neighborhood. The hotel offers an okay breakfast, clean rooms and is at a quiet part of town with limited noise. The rooms are spacious (especially for an European) and the showers good. It's is okay value for money.

I booked a room for Mardi Gras for 2/10/18-2/12/18. I booked the room in 7/17 for $143 per night. A month before my arrival date I get an email from Katie saying my reservation was cancelled. These people sent an unauthorized charge through on my card and when it did not go through, they cancelled my room. Mind you before this happened, they did not have any rooms available. Afterwards rooms magically appeared at a rate of $226 per night. I will never in my life stay at another Best Western anywhere. The last day I had to cancel before being charged a one night penalty was 2/8/18. I am not asking for a comp or anything free nor an apology. All I know is I love to travel and do not at all like the way I was done. If this is how this brand handles their business and customers, I forever pass. I would like the say I previously stayed at The Best Western Plus on North Rampert in The French Quarter and did not have any problems. I even gave that hotel a good review.

I am sorry that your reservation was cancelled due to an invalid credit card. This was not a charge, it was an authorization for one night room and tax and your card did not go through. Hotels do have the right to authorize credit cards before arrival, this is stated on all websites in the fine print. Clean, friendly, no issues, will stay again. Quick access to French Quarter and a lot less expensive. Much nicer than the Marina Inn right down the street and way safer and nicer than the NO East motels.

Its the area of New Orleans where all my friends and relatives live; which is convenient. Only 10 minutes from the French Quarter and you can get a cab to and from there. Everyone who works for Best Western Plus, that we came in contact with, were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Very nice hotel and great staff. Little hard to get Uber and lyft out there but it was doable and the beds are too hard for my liking. Breakfast was great. Very clean and new. Lots of places close to eat and shop. Considered The Parish area

We had such a nice stay for four nights here. The rooms were large, clean, and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and made it easy to check in. The breakfast was awesome! They had a large variety of breakfast items and lots of fixins. A very easy drive to the French quarter. It was nice to visit the Bourbon St. but also nice to get away and have a quite stay here. If I happen to come back to Louisiana I would stay here again or at least try to find another best western plus!

This is a newly remodeled Best Western. It has everything you need and is clean and safe. Its nothing particularly special, but you do get breakfast included, which is a serious perk, given that the price is fairly high for this type of hotel and this area.

We loved our stay. The hotel was clean, the price was reasonable, and the staff was courteous and helpful. Though it took us about twenty minutes by taxi to reach the French Quarter it was well worth it. We highly recommend this hotel.

The place is excellent with the exception of several billing issues that happened each time I stayed 3 cards on file all were charged for one stay that happened more than once and again just recently where I was double charged again for a stay this seem to be an issue with this hotel and it ties up your money for day on there mistake

We have stayed at this hotel in the past. As expected a wonderful place. Everyone went out of there way to make us feel welcome. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, every day was a different choice of food. Always fresh and hot. We will visit them again in the future.

The hotel was just as I expected for a Best Western. The room was clean and quiet even though it was across from the elevator. The hotel sits on a corner and not easy to see. We almost drove past it, The hotel signs should be more visible. It is located in an industrial area. I thought the room should have been more reasonable.

Great staff!! Everyone is very customer-centric The location in Chalmette places the customer outside the New Orleans hub. It is easy to reach many places from Chalmette and the 1812 Battle of New Orleans battlefield is literally 'down the road'.

We spent 6 nights at the Chalmette Hotel and can honestly say we enjoyed every minute. The breakfast buffet was hot and had great variety, lobby and room were very clean, staff friendly and helpful, in room coffee, fridge, microwave and lots of free parking. A Winn Dixie grocery store just a few steps away. A very convenient place to stay. Minutes from downtown. Very safe neighborhood.

This was an enjoyable stay. Great breakfast. Pool was a good size and clean. The room was really clean and roomy. The air conditioner kept the room cool and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. The were very accommodating for large groups. There were quite a few groups staying at the hotel. Some wedding families and ball teams but the staff really seemed to have taken care of everyone. We were offered a late check out which gave the kids some extra swim time.

Very good stay. I would give it a 5 if not for the pillows. I did not find them very comfortable. That's my only negative, and I really had to think about it to come up with a negative comment. Hotel is clean, inside and out. Staff is most accommodating. There is a microwave, rather large refrigerator, hair dryer, pool and gym (which i did not use). Breakfast is adequate. There was coffee with chicory! (which I love) Shower was great. Free wi-fi and parking. Maybe a bit pricy for some, but I think worth it because of how nice it is. Breakfast until 10 was a plus, since some hotels stop at 9. Room was quiet (we were on 3rd floor). I noticed there were heavy doors, maybe that helped keep noise out. There were plenty kids in the hotel, and all around our room. I never heard them when our door was closed.

In Chalmette for a wedding. Really great place to stay. Room comfortably big enough, comfy beds, clean, breakfast really plentiful and good....waffles so good I ordered the mix...try the banana nut. Lady in charge of breakfast was super nice. Front desk nice. Several good eating places in Chalmette. Of course Rocky&Carlos, Cafe Roma was very good and we loved Cafe Aquarius.

Here on a mission trip with a group from church and the service has been outstanding. Pamela the breakfast host was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our breakfast and our stay.

Very clean and safe. Room was large and spacious. The shower was amazing, really strong water pressure. Well recommended. Wi-Fi was good. This hotel is in the mid price range but worth the extra money for the amenities provided.

The staff here is awesome and they definitely care about making your stay as great as possible. The place is very clean, breakfast is good, and the staff is extremely helpful. The location is about 15 minutes from new orleans and its great if you have a family and want to be close to the action of the city, but not in the middle of it all.

I was in town for a family reunion, and I did not want to stay at the family home, So I checked in to The Best Western Plus Chalmette. As soon as I enter the lobby I knew I found a great hotel. The check, at check in, AJ, was real out there, made me laugh and , made me feel like family. The other ladies Nay, Tiffany, Katie at the desk helped me with some restaurants and things to do. I went down for breakfast and Rose the breakfast lady had the breakfast rocking, food was hot and enjoyable. and I am sorry that I can't remember the housekeeper who did my room, she did a wonderful job at it, fresh linens. Even took a dip in the pool, JP had the pool area clean and ready when I got to the pool area .I have made another reservation to come next month, to get some of that down home feelings. Hotel is a contractor base location and so it is always busy..sometimes to the point where breakfast is not there. A bit noisy but overall it was an OK place. I would stay there again if I had business in the area

When we got to the room and went in my wife sat on the bed and said it was terrible. Things went downhill the people upstairs sounded like they were playing basketball with the running and banging on the floor. We were told we couldn't move because they were booked solid. We were next to the elevator and kids played with the elevator all night. These kids ran up and down the hall until after 11PM. We called the desk again and complained and were told they were trying to stop the kids. The kids then began banging on our door. At 6AM the noise upstairs began all over. I hurt all over from the hard bed the next morning. Also the Wifi did not work

TV equipment problems are rare and sometimes beyond our control. When you refused our offer to move your room, our maintenance man came back to the hotel after hours to fix your TV. I personally inspected this the following day with him, and I hope your TV is working fine now. Regarding your issues with the internet, we have just changed to a brand new high speed wireless system. This system is currently active and we have had no reported complaints since the switch over. From time to time, we do have severe weather that effects us greatly in southern Louisiana, and with those storms some service interruptions do occur. Unfortunately, we too are at the mercy of the utility companies to get local outages taken care of in a timely manner. The hotel was very nice but I would have rated a heated indoor pool as excellent. The heated water is a plus for anyone who suffers with joint or mobility problems. I noticed that there were several vehicles with handicapped tags on them.

Good location and good service. Breakfast could be better. Lighting in the room would be better if brighter..Better lighting and better hot foods at breakfast. Not much choice for lodging in the area but this BW is a good option

Happy employees make staying at this hotel a very pleasant experience. From check in to check out, the front desk was all smiles, even caught one of them singing when I got off the elevator. Room was exceptionally quiet and bed comfortable which made a great night's sleep. Would definitely stay there again.

Everything was nice and clean. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Breakfast had plenty of options. Quiet location but close to restaurants. Comfortable room w/ chair, desk and plenty of space.

myself and my family have stayed here several times for work and we love it friendly staff always helpful rooms are spotless could not ask for a better experience the breakfast is something different everyday so if you are staying more than one night you will not have to eat the same thing every morning

Hotel is great, rooms clean, bed very comfortable, breakfast is very good, staff very friendly and helpful. The only down side is the internet is terrible. The only way one can hook up and stay hooked up is to install an Ethernet cable to your laptop, good luck with an ipad the connection is not available. If your there for business keep this in mind, they need an upgrade with their routers.

So my boyfriend and I selected this place because we didn't want to be on bourbon this year and drain our funds so we selected this place. The drive to the French quarters wasn't long and this hotel has all the food places near it and a few shopping places which was a win win for us. We plan on staying here again next year

Everything other than breakfast was good! The location and staff seemed to be polite, courteous, and responsive. The location to other attractions seemed quite closer. Decor and room gets 8/10. Very nice overall!

Everything was great. Internet was having a few problems, but hotel staff was working very hard to get the issue resolved. Breakfast was great. Loved that it was a smoke free facility. Would definitely stay again.

I had to travel to New Orleans unexpectedly and needed to stay somewhere inexpensive, but not too far from familiar attractions. This hotel was priced right. It is not by any means an upscale hotel so don't expect luxury, but it was very clean. They offer free wifi, which was pretty fast, free breakfast that I did not try and free parking- all highly sought after qualities in a city where these things typically come at a premium. The surrounding area is not a place you'd want to hang out, and there weren't any nice restaurants within walking distance. There is a McDonald's across the street and a grocery store nearby. The French Quarter is about a twenty minute drive.

What a treat to have fresh baked cookies after arriving late and ready for bed. Asia was very nice to go bake the cookies when we asked if there were any snacks around. Pillows were a bit too hard and small. Carpet torn in one area.

We stayed at this hotel which is a beautiful hotel about 8 miles from the French Quarter in New Orleans. The staff is wonderful. The rooms are beautiful and the price is great. We would stay here again.

Great stay. Nice Lobby/check-in area~Friendly staff, Clean rooms and 15-20 minute ride to NOLA. Free FULL Breakfast A 24/7 Coffee Bar very well kept & clean. Room was clean & comfortable. A/C works great. Free Parking & several fast food places within 1/2 mile. Ms. Della & Asia are Outstanding employee's and add class to this hotel. Made us feel at home in Da Parish!!!!

This hotel is located just outside of New Orleans, approximately 6 miles from the French Quarter. The property is very well maintained with very clean, quiet rooms that have a microwave and a refrigerator along with a coffee maker. A breakfast buffet is included. The staff was very pleasant and went out of their way to be helpful. This should definitely be an option if you don't want to spend more than twice as much for room in the city.

The workers were very friendly, and helpful. They were all smiling and very pleasant. Our room was spotless. We were very well treated and it had a nice friendly relation ship with other guest. We will be sure to use it again, and send others to it. They took care of any needs that we had in a very timely manner. It was just a small plumbing problem. They showed us how to use things we did not understand. Thank you for recruiting such a wonderful staff. Doing some business in town. Nice clean quiet room. Typical mid-range hotel breakfast. Staff was very friendly. Fitness room is limited but adequate. There are a few fast food restaurants in walking distance. Nothing spectacular but a good sleep between meetings.

I have stayed at this property in the past and it was ok. However they have recently brighten this property up with new colors and a great staff etc... and the rooms are very comfortable and very clean ! I will stay here at this property in Chalmette Louisiana again !

very good, and somewhere I would recommend to other who care not to be directly in new Orleans cause of traffic and terrible parking situations. Not far from eatery's and shopping centers. Freshest seafood around.

Do not expect any hospitality at this place. My family and I stayed for one night because we were in town for a funeral and my aunts house had plumbing issues. We just needed a shower and a bathroom and the way we were treated it felt like we were asking the world. As we wanted to spend time with the family we all attempted to grab a muffin and coffee from the continental breakfast as we got ready for the funeral. The attendant watched us like we were trying to rob them and swiftly told us we were not allowed more food than four people would eat. As we are a party of seven we did not realize a few muffins would be a problem since we paid for a room. We decided to pay extra for six of us to eat as we did not want to break any rules and one cousin was too busy to eat. We apologized and explained we were grieving but the employees sharply continued to inform us that we need to follow the rules. So we stopped trying to chat and be friendly and took our muffins to go. We were then haulted and told that we couldn't consume their food out of their watchful gaze and WE MUST consume breakfast in the continental dining area. Upon check out we were charged for an ADDITIONAL meal as "we only paid for six meals and there were seven people" even though only six people ate and they did not allow us to take the food in our rooms. Ridiculous. We were on a budget in town for a funeral as our aunts house had plumbing problems. We wanted a shower and a toilet and were treated like bums off the street even though we paid 106 for one night in a room.

Good clean hotel in the industrial part of chalumett. Less than 10 miles from the French Quater. Great beds and fairly new. You can save a lot by staying here. I'm very picky but would definitely stay here again

Everyone was super friendly! Great location 20 minutes from the French Quarter and 45 minutes from the Gulf. My little family and I had a great time. So many great places to eat and is located right by a grocery store. I had the King Suite and it was very spacious. I will be back!

Again this hotel mishandled my reservation and charged me for six rooms at $167 per. This is the only motel in the area and is a good stay. The breakfast is great and the service is top notch. Clean rooms, comfortable beds and good restaurants nearby.

I stayed at this property three times in the last two years. I have never had a single bad experience with any portion of my stay. I stay here rather than at some of the "fishing lodges" for the conveniences of being near the numerous restaurants in Chalmette rather than stuck off in the middle of nowhere for the night.

this particular best western is located minutes away from a famous battle field. for you history buffs, the 1814 battle of new orleans was fought minutes away and you can tour the site and graveyard. downtown new orleans is minutes away and its nice to stay in a place away from the tourist crowd and traffic. there are nearby restaurants and shops for forgotten needs. the hotel itself is clean and well kept, the free breakfast is always a good incentive to return. we have stayed here twice now and will continue to return as it is close by to family we visit.

We stayed for one night and it was a good location. It actual was only 20 minutes from the French quarter and New Orleans. We choose it for the price. It was very reasonable, especially compared to other hotels. We didn't want to stay in a hotel in NOLA that was three times the price and may be half the quality. Our room was nice, clean, and we felt safe in the area. The continental breakfast was good and had your basic selections. The french toast sticks were actually really good. We had no problems and the staff was friendly. I would recommend this hotel.

Clean hotel chain off the beaten path in the New Orleans area. Microwave and frig in every room. Adjacent to a very nice Winn Dixie. Short trip through 9th ward to the French Quarter but also close to local dining favorites in Chalmette and the By-Water area. Friendly staff and good rates relative to New Orleans proper. We've stayed here several times.

Quick stay for a baseball tournament and this Best Western was within 5 minutes of the complex. Linens could use some updating and the a/c in our room could use service. It was reported on departure for repair. We only stayed 1 night in lieu of 2...it served our purpose at the time

This is an average hotel. It's unfortunately about the only hotel in this area. Their prices are high for what you get. Room was not in top notch shape, a little dirty. One plus was, my family had 3 rooms booked for the night and they did let us in to one of them early to change clothes.

Rooms were quiet and comfortable. Beds were comfortable.Service was great. Staff was friendly and efficient. Breakfast complimentary and was very good. Everything from coffee and juice to eggs and waffels.

This was our second visit to the Best Western in 3 years. It is our choice for the New Orleans Jazz Festival. During the last trip, we found the establishment to be well kept and modern. I think it was fairly new on that occasion. During this visit, we noticed that the hotel has aged. I wish the owners would keep this little getaway spick and span for our next visit. Even though the property looks appealing, the rooms were not as clean as the last time. I found the smell in our room a little off putting to say the least. Not sure what it was and it just kept permeating around. Otherwise, it was a comfortable and pleasant stay. The breakfast needs improving also. Yes, it is free but a few more varieties would really help. It is very basic but I cannot grumble too much as the food was acceptable. The check in and out process was quick and efficient even though our group could not get adjacent rooms. For the price and location to Jazz Fest., this property is quite adequate.

We stayed one night while in town for a tournament. The staff was very friendly. Hotel is very clean and the pool area is nice. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We also like having a microwave and fridge in the room.

Needed a room at the last minute. Booked online and had no issues with booking, checking in late or checking out. Room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone needing a place to stay, especially on short notice.

If you have business in and around New Orleans, the Best Western Plus hotel on Paris Rd is an excellent choice. The staff was found to be very friendly and the rooms tastefully done. The air is fresh and clean from periodic misting a...VERY clean hotel and they serve both a hot and cold continental breakfast rather than the usual bagels, doughnuts, juice and coffee. Highly recommend in staying in this stylish and friendly hotel...

The service was excellent! Friendly and helpful. The room was very clean! Best stay I've had away from home in a long time. Nice breakfast, lots to choose from. Plenty of parking with security cameras which made me feel safe leaving my car.

This hotel was very clean and the staff were courteous and helpful. Also, I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. However, I arrived to the hotel late and just wanted sleep for myself and my family. The AC unit did not work causing us to have an uncomfortable sleeping experience.

We chose to stay outside New Orleans downtown area . Too noisey and too expensive downtown. More layed back here. Parking is expensive downtown Make sure to use the RTA Trolley $3.00 each all day. Great staff and very clean rooms. Good breakfast and coffee.

To be honest, this was pretty much the only hotel in the area that I considered and my expectations weren't too high. However, I was very pleased with the hotel. The appearance is nice, up to date, clean and the staff was very friendly! The bed was pretty comfy as well and the room was spacious. My only complaint is that there was no ice machine or vending machine on the first floor.

I stay in Best westerns quite a bit while traveling for business. i chose to stay in Chalmette because the rates for hotels in down town New Orleans were too expensive. this hotel is only a 15 min drive from down town and the rate was half of what you would spend in town. it is a nice place, clean rooms and friendly staff. not much in the way of food in the area unless you like fast food.

Clean, convenient and comfortable. Easy access to all local events. French Quarter is only minutes away. Safe and friendly staff. Easy to find. Parish has lots to do locally to. Historic areas minutes away. Highly recommended.

This is my 3rd stay at this Best Western and I've always had good experiences. The staff is great and cater to you. Never had an issue with my room not being clean. Also they always make sure free breakfast is prepared for you in the morning. Definitely recommended!

This hotel is the best stay ever. Staff is extremely courteous. Clean and spacious rooms. Located close to stores/food within walking distance. The owner was kind and friendly. It was like a home away from home. Hot coffee pretty much 24/7. Definitely will stay there again if I'm in the area.

Nice functional room and clean. Bathroom was clean with a nice large countertop. Fixed the sound on out TV right away. The front desk was helpful and resolved a bill issue quickly. Friendly staff.Parking area adequate. We would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was a nice place, the surrounding area was not a desirable location. This hotel was the closest hotel to our fishing charter location. There were not enough restaurants to choose from in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay at this Hotel. We needed an overnight place before our cruise at an affordable price. Many Hotels closer to New Orleans were already booked or way overpriced. It was a football weekend and also it was the Gretna Festival Weekend. We picked up a rental at MSY and the next day we returned it downtown on Canal Street. It was an easy drive from the Airport to Chalmette Area and same returning downtown. The Hotel is quiet in a safe area. There is a Winn Dixie and a Liquor Store within walking distance and also a Walmart not even a ten minute drive. The room was clean and comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was fine. It was perfect for our needs.

This is a nice hotel on the out skirts of New Orleans. Don't be alarmed when you exit the interstate, just keep traveling and the area will progressively get better. A great value for a quality hotel!!

We stayed here for 2 nights prior to our Carnival Dream cruise. Although this hotel is 30-minutes from the port, it really was a nice hotel. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast included omelets, biscuits and gravy, sausage, etc. Driving to New Orleans from here was really easy, except during rush hour. There are a few restaurants nearby that we enjoyed (Rocky & Carlos)

I liked everything about the hotel except the internet. Very slow for high speed. I do a speed test as soon as I am connected and I was getting less than 1.0 MB download and less than 0.35MB upload. I did both wireless and wired with less than satisfactory results.

We loved this hotel, it was a little further away from the hustle and bustle of the quarter which was perfect for us. We was in town for the football game so it was right in our budget for a quick overnight stay. The hotel was clean, beds were comfy, and everyone was super polite.

I stayed here because of a local's recommendation for a clean, safe hotel. This hotel is relatively new and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a grocery next door that I used to get some drinks and snacks which was convenient.

I had never stayed at a Best Western Plus before. This was the closest hotel to our sports venue. The room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was free and delicious. The room was reasonably priced. Had to report noisy guests late at night and the staff handled it promptly. Overall great experience.

we stayed in the best western in chalmette, la. this town is famous for being the site where, in 1814, stonewall jackson defeated the british in their attempted invasion of america. the hotel is minutes away from the battle site and graveyard of the men who fought there. the hotel is very nice, clean with a very friendly staff. it is located with 25 minutes of down town new orleans and the french quarter. we would stay there again for the location and good condition of the hotel. they do offer a free contn. breakfast between 6 & 10 a.m.

My girlfriend and I planed a cross country trip starting from Florida with New Orleans being our first stop. We looked around the French Quarter and everything was a bit overpriced for the one night we had planned for New Orleans. Place was clean, nice at the first glance, had hot breakfast in the morning, and most importantly was just one right turn away from the French Quarter (about 15 minute drive) but was a straight shot so not difficult to maneuver. It's a Hotel and not a Motel! I would certainly recommend.
