Fun hotel close to fisherman tourist area. Good beds, accommodating staff and fun location for tourist wanders. Close to restaurants and shops . On the river inlet. Patio overlooking the action. Great maritime museum within walking distance and only a few hours from Amsterdam.
Neat hotel in a great location. Quiet room with a good view. Staff is engaging and personable, breakfast is outstanding. Within walking distance of many area attractions, and very close to excellent restaurants.
A standard boring bed and breakfast hotel in a extremely depressing part of town Do you have to stay here remember to ask ot book a room with sea view , the back side of the hotel is like a industrial site of old and seems closed storage houses Hotel is clean and tidy , breakfast good for this grade hotel
Located right in the heart of the action this new modern hotel has modern very clean rooms with amazing breakfast and attention to detail. It has gloves and sanitiser available anywhere and the views of the Port just added to a great experience. PS the reception lady was very professional and courteous
For Bremerhaven this hotel fits very well. Bremerhaven is not a huge city in terms of inhabitants but locationswise it is a long stretch. So wherever you chose to stay, things are closer or more far away. And Bremerhaven is not a sleeping beauty, more tough and rocky. This hotel is in the old fish port. There is still some fishing industry, right behind the hotel. We booked a room facing the water line and enjoyed the views. They are far from romantic bucolic but as fascinating as industrial port views can be. They have their own fascination. The room was good, insulation seemed well, albeit we were opposite the lifts. Reception desk staff was welcoming (and Mr. Stern most welcoming). It attended the bar as well, hence multi tasking in the evening and that put a lot of stress on them. However, they were always kind and friendly. Breakfast offered good choices and really good, strong filter coffee. There was a coffee machine as well for indivudual cups. There is a new bus line (HL) with a stop near by the hotel that connects this part of the town with the more central parts. Very convenient. We did not use it since we came by car. If you continue the water line further, there is Greta's Café, a good find! We ate at one of the fish restaurants nearby in the transformed industrial site. More centrally located "Villa Seebeck" would be a good restaurant choice. And for museums: one less popular but very interesting one is the museum of the 50's. Unfortunately further away and open on Sundays only. I liked staying at this hotel. Those four nights were great.
Nice location overlooking the water and boats moored. Free parking. Friendly, effective staff, clean rooms. Lots of restaurants nearby. Good breakfast in a spacious room overlooking the water. The rooms are modern, with only a glassdoor between the sleepingroom and the bathroom, but it works.
Pleasant locality to spend a few days. The superior rooms are beautifully situated and offer a perfect view to the old fishing port. The fishing trawlers are laying by port in vicinity to the hotel. Nevertheless no big noise but a real exceptional place for a hotel. Observe that you might have to take your dinner somewhere outside of the hotel as the hotel does not offer this service for late arrival guests. Best way to come to the place is to make use of a taxi. They are not to expensive for a city such as Bremerhaven is. Public service busses are operating on a regular schedule. But bus stop is located opposite side of the hotel building. To get there, access is given only after passing the channel giving way to the bus stop site. Premium rooms are beautiful and offer a lot of comfort. Tasty and very modern furniture. Big breakfast in a large dining room. The hotel also offers meeting rooms and facilities. Location can also be recommended for business meetings. General services have potential for optimization (Reception, Dining, General Information)
Checked in at 5.30 approximately on 6/3/19. Five minutes after getting to my room there was an energy evacuation. The next morning at 7.30am exactly the same thing happend again with 2 fire engines attending both times. False alarms both times and I found this unacceptable. Room was basic but clean. Staff offered no apology for the inconvenience of the fire alarm situation.
This hotel is great for all kinds of visits. Though the location is not directly tied to the city, it is only a short distance away. Rooms are very clean and staff eager to please. But you do need transportation to get anywhere.
We stayed for business travell. The hotel was very clean, rooms and common areas. Breakfast was very good as well. Staff were freindly and helpful. Fitness center was dissapointing but there was a full gym next door that had drop in rates. My room was facing the water. Really enjoyed the floor to ceiling windows.
Nice clean hotel, perfect for the visit to a local business. Rooms well equipped and clean. Good selection for breakfast that was cooked fresh. Can't comment on evening meal as ate out locally. Would recommend
Great hotel. Very clean. Room overall is a nice size. Bed was confortable and bathroom very clean. Would of given this hotel 5 stars but I'm only 5ft tall and their bathtub is hard to get into due to the fact that it's tall. Not good if your handicapped. But I sure they have rooms that can accommodate the handicap. The breakfast buffet is probably the best I've ever had in Europe and it's included in the price. Yey!! Best Western, just like in the USA. They have eggs, bacon, meat and cheese platters, brotchen breads, fruits, juices, and more. I will definitely stay here again. They have excellent service
I chose this hotel because my daughter was attending Semester at Sea for the fall of 2017 voyage. I couldn't have been happier with my choice! The Hotel was IMMACULATE! It was also centrally located and the stag was more than helpful with arranging taxi service!
We stayed for two nights at the Best Western in Bremerhaven. The rooms are fairly new and have all the features that you expect. - safe deposit box large enough for a laptop - fridge with some space left to put in a bottle and some cans - electricity in all the right places, good lighting, too. - on the harbour side floor to ceiling windows with a good view over the fishing harbour - great shower, comfortable bed - desk with a view Some minuses: - The wifi was very flaky indeed, it did not work well in the room at all (almost no reception and bandwidth) and to add to that lost connectivity a lot of times. Reception said they couldn't do anything about it. - If travelling not with a spouse you should be aware that the bathroom offers very little privacy (glass walls, partially frosted, but still see thru). - The hallways are rather dark. Breakfast has a very good selection of hot and cold dishes and service was quick to refill the buffet. The breakfast room has super views of the harbour as well and it has a lot of space: tables are not close together. Many hotels have cramped spaces for breakfast, this is not one of them. Parking was free of charge, but the parking lot is too small when the hotel is booked out. We had to street park on Saturday night, but it was not a problem. The hotel does not have its own restaurant, but there are plenty of restaurants close by (3 min walk). Friendly service, quick check-in.
Nice clean hotel. Very nice modern New high tech rooms. Just at the habor. Very close to restaurants. Can only recomment this hotel. Will go here again........ air connect on the room. Free internet. Breakfast included.
We stayed here on business for 3 weeks. Hotel is on the quai - modern and box type - but comfortable well appointed rooms. Modern bathrooms. They do a good breakfast. Staff are very friendly. Pizzas can be delivered (Dominos). There are a selection of restaurants on the quais which do good fish at a very reasonable price. I like the area - in the summer - they tell me the quais come alive with music and outside cafe life. But we really only saw it in the winter nights.
This was our second visit to Bremerhaven and since we stayed at the Comfort hotel the last trip we decided to stay here this time. Nothing against the comfort hotel, but the two hotels are in two different leagues. The Best Western was considerably more spacious and up to date. Although there is a cost increase staying here, if you plan on spending any time in your room the cost difference disappears with the up graded rooms here. Although we don't go on vacation to spend time in our room, the ability to relax in front of wall to wall floor to ceiling windows that overlook the inlet was hard to pass up. We bought a bottle of wine in the wine shop at the fish market shopping area and enjoyed sitting in the room with the lights out having a glass relaxing every evening. We paid the extra for a superior room which put us on either the third of fourth floor with a view that on a clear day you could see the city lights and all the way to the harbor. The breakfast offered is excellent and the staff very attentive. It's not your typical offering, but more of an expanded offering ranging from the normal meat and cheese to eggs, sausage, bacon, etc. The parking is on site behind the hotel and has easy access to the hotel with a limited number of first come covered spaces available.
The hotel is 3 years old - with nice, moderne and clean rooms. The location is good next to the fishkai - with restaurants etc. Breakfast is also very good and very polite staff - however the english is not too good. But this is Germany. All in all very good.
This hotel is located in the old fish port of Bremerhaven. Here you will find several restaurants. The hotel has a superb view on the harbour and on the Weser even as far as the open sea. To see the sea you have to be on a higher floor. Rooms are stylish with modern design. Sleep quality is very good. The panorana window is a big as your whole room. Really great ! Breakfast is very good too, German and also warm dishes. Parking is free.
This is a very modern stylish hotel. Excellent staff in all departments, very helpful and willing to help. Great room, large modern design with comfortable beds, plenty of power-points (adapters available if needed), fridge/mini-bar. The breakfast is good, American style cooked available and the usual continental style bread, cheese, meat etc and of course fish. Good location in the port area but slightly out of the town centre. I have seen other reviews of the hotel and agree with most points, however I found the wifi in the room borderline useless, you are given a code for up to 3 devices, if I could get 1 to work well I was lucky, the best signal I could get was in the reception area, and the router wasn't far from my room. I did report on day 1 of my stay but no improvement.
Travelling on my own it was great to see a smiling faces from the reception staff. They were so helpful and went above and beyond. The room was lovely, clean and comfy beds. I loved the sea view with floor to ceiling windows. The TV channels were not great only BBC news in English. Internet worked really well. Breakfast was good and the receptionist recommended the fish restaurant behind the hotel which was lovely. Would highly recommend and will be back for defiantly
A fantastic hotel in a fantastic location. The hotel is modern throughout. The rooms are great large (just a pity mine isn't overlooking the river). The breakfast room has some great views over the river and Ficshkai (?). Breakfast is a buffet and very well presented. The gym is small (could do with the addition of a running machine) but OK. Overall a great place to stay.
I fell in love with this Hotel immediately due to its location right on the Pier(Kai) in the fishing harbour. What a great find. The place is ultra-modern with a view out to the boats tied up alongside(eye candy). The accommodations are four floors of modern spacious rooms with a breakfast room on the second(their first) floor. A comfortable bar on the main floor near the reception and outside quite a few nice restaurants offering everything that anyone would want in dining though of course it must be understood that the obvious specialty has to be fish and fish related items(not to be missed). Air Conditioning is provided and the windows are floor to ceiling but then you can always close the drapes or leave them open to catch the morning light. What a great place. We will be back as the staff is very professional and parking is free beside the Hotel.
A modern, big room with sight to the fishing harbour with a delicious breakfast buffet, this was our nice experience in the bestwestern hotel! You can watch fish processing in the neighborhood! Nice restaurants are nearby. With public Busses you can reach the very interesting climate house and Bremerhavens Harbour World!
I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The hotel appears new, and is very stylish. The room layouts are quite spacious, comfortable, and have wonderfully large windows. I would note that the shower glass is only half frosted, so I hope you aren't prude around your travel companions. The location is good for events that occur at the nearby pier, but less good if you didn't bring a car and plan on visiting the main attractions in Bremerhaven. But, the bus stop is less than 10 minutes away on foot, so it's only a minor annoyance.
I loved this hotel! You're locked in a room of glass and it seems futuristic. Room is very comfortable with up to date functions. Staff is very friendly and greet you with a smile. Newest hotel in the area
Nice hotel located next to the fishermen warf and the canal. It seems to be quite new and nicely decorated with quiet rooms. The breakfast was great. Parking could be organized better by simply painting parking spot lines, so people wouldn't take two spots where there are three. The internet is non exciting and didn't work for the entire night. When I complained in the morning, I was told they know and the hotel is working on a new system. If I would have know that when I checked in, I wouldn't have wasted my time trying to make it work. On top, the front desk ladies where quite simply rude when they told me and couldn't have cared less, after all I checked out. For good I guess, as I can take my business elsewhere.
The hotel is newly renovated and the rooms (superior) have a glass front towards on of the harbours. Very close to a number of restaurants in a former fish packing hall. You can have your shower with a view on docks ans boats in the small harbour. Great place for discovering sights in Bremerhaven and vicinity.
Drove up to Bremerhaven to pickup a vehicle. Great place to stay. There are several restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. They serve breakfast in the hotel, and a taxi to the port is only €15. Quite rooms that are nicely decorated, and it is pet friendly. In the morning you do get a fresh smell of the sea (fish), but it would not stop me from staying there again. The front desk personnel are very friendly, and professional.
Very modern hotel with great location at one of the small harbours. Extremely friendly staff and very service focused. Especially the night concierge/bar keeper was perfectly consumer oriented. Breakfast was better than expected and offered a great variety of fish, American Breakfast, different egg dishes and bean grinded coffee. Parking is for free. Breakfast is included, even for more than two people per room. Ask for harbour view rooms.
The Best Western is a quite new hotel. The interior is trend designed. The rooms are comfortable and with a nice walk-in shower. There is no restaurant available however the hotel is located in a toerist area with a lot of fish restaurent.
Modern, minimalist, sleek, very functional. A great place to have a rest before/after a business meeting or a sightseeing. There is nothing I missed or could add. Moreover, the best restaurant in town is just around the corner.
Classy, contemporary, great service, fantastic breakfast. It's worth the extra Euros. Parking is not convenient, but it's nearby and free. The Wi-Fi was poor, at least in our room the signal was weak to non-existent.
Brand new ( 2 yo) hotel in fish harbour. Very good location close to restaurants and industrial part of the city. Very good breakfast and free parking. Rooms are modern, well equipped with glass-wall bathroom. Much better than Comfort Hotel.
Stayed here with two friends for the bike racing. Had an excellent stay with modern stylish rooms, great breakfast, helpful, multilingual staff. Highly recommended. Good free parking, nice position in the historic Fischereihafen area, with several good restaurants and bars nearby. Wifi is free but quite slow and the regular need to sign back in was annoying, but this is a minor criticism.
Sitting directly on the water front in the historical fish docks in Bremerhaven this is a gem of a hotel. High quality construction, streamlined and beautiful appointment with enough character to elicit the local area, but not quirky. The water fronted rooms in particular are something special with floor to ceiling windows. I arrived near midnight and left early the next morning so I was unable to fully test all the services but from what I saw at breakfast and in the rooms and lobby and bar I was more than happy. Facilities include Gym and Sauna. Well deserving of its BW Plus status.
Confortable and new Hotel near industrial area in Bremerhaven and seabord. Friendly behaviour. Good breakfast. For having dinner, there are some Restaurants in the area near the hotel. If you don't need anything special, this hotel is more than enough.
