Poor guest management and sour smell along with mold. Lost reservations broken breakfast amenities and almost no people at the front desk to help at all. All this made move farther away and drive longer to avoid all of this unpleasantness. Horrible
The front desk people were very lazy and unprofessional. No hot water for 4 days, but reported it every day. Was not offered to move to another room. (We were almost the only people there as paying customers.
If your looking for great staff and clean room and fresh towels then I recommend booking at the best western
The Good, rooms were clean, AC worked and water was hot The Bad all 3 rooms had trouble with doors locking one wss bad enough to have to move rooms. It's the only hotel in the area so you'll survive
The room was clean the beds were good the AC worked well several of the lights were out and not working and the remote control for the TV was broken breakfast was amazing service was very good and the lady that was serving the breakfast went above and beyond
This hotel is AWFUL. Stay somewhere else. THREE of the mornings I was there I had NO HOT WATER for a shower. First time it happened, I asked for assistance at the front desk -- after I found the person -- nice apology but NO HOT WATER and NO SOLUTION. Second time, asked for the manager. Manager not on premises, and when I CAME BACK to the hotel to see the person at the appointed time -- NO MANAGER still. Third time, called the corporate office. They said there was nothing they could do, and suggested I TALK TO THE MANAGER. After THREE phone calls, escalating to supervisors, the corporate office offered a refund of ONE NIGHT and said I would have to TALK TO THE MANAGER about the rest. A week after I got home, I got an email from the manager saying they were glad corporate resolved my problem. WHAT?? I still couldn't contact the manager to say NO! MY PROBLEM HAD NOT BEEN RESOLVED -- no reply to email, no contact phone number. Here's the deal -- there are other hotels within 30 minutes, and at the rate this hotel charges, the ABOMINABLE customer service, the refusal to correct problems, the lack of reliable facility -- GO SOMEWHERE ELSE - and not to a Best Western since apparently they don't care about their reputation.
I don't recommend this hotel at all. I had problems with my room and so did my colleagues and the hotel staff didn't care and did nothing to make the repairs and resolve the problems for us. I had to tell three different staff about the problems in my room and they seemed tired and disinterested.
This was probably the worst hotel experience that I have had in a long time. The hotel was nice enough but our stay was an absolute mess. There was no WiFi in the entire hotel for the entire 6 days of our stay which was a huge deal because we were there purchase an RV. Even the business center computers didn't work. When we asked about it we were told that they were having internet issues. For 6 days??? Our room keys only worked for one day and then we would have to go down and get new keys made. Every single day! And housekeeping left our door ajar for an entire day that we were gone!!! Anyone could have taken anything! Management couldn't care less about our concerns. Will never stay or recommend to anyone.
Worst hotel we have ever been in. AC leak water on floor. Cable tv not in service. Roaches in room. Commode runs all the time. Doors between rooms not secure. Noisy all night. No manager ever sighted. Hallway AC runs but doesn't cool. Breakfast lacking. Only coffee available is decaf. We're senior citizens so this not our first hotel.
Do not recommend this hotel , safety is not a priority , we were awoken by a staff member trying to get into our room late at night, the a/c did not work well , and nothing done about it, I give it a thumbs down
Weekend away to visit Streamsong Golf Resort, we stayed here to save some money, and it was a terrible mistake. This hotel is in disrepair, moldy rooms, AC not working, fire alarm making noice all night and day, no one seemed to know how to fix or whom to call. Internet didn't work. I can not recommend this hotel, ruined our experience. If you're looking to save money, don't stay here, just bite the bullet and stay at Streamsong its worth the extra amount to ensure a safe a reliable nights sleep.
After driving 21 hours with 2 kids we tried checking in early. Without hesitation we were told no. A sign said the pool was out if service. Something with the water. When we were able to check in the sign was gone. Water still the same. Horrible
Manage DOES NOT give a crap about his guests. Pull out was WORSE THAN HORRIBLE, totally just spring, NOBODY weighing more than 25 lbs could EVER be comfortable on it. You could literally push very easily to the bottom just with your hand. Manger HUNG UP on the person trying to help me with this!!! There was a HOLE on the floor with EXPOSED WIRING! Hair dryer didn't work. Safe didn't work, was locked. Had to ASK for pillows (which came WITHOUT PILLOWCASES!), sheets (which were just 2 fitted) and a blanket for the HORRENDOUS pull out. Four of the coffee pods looked like they had something like hot sauce on them. One of the two coffee things that had sugar, etc. were open with something removed. Couldn't pull down the shade in the room to darken for morning. Had to tell them three different times they were out of something in the morning (like forks, sausage, potatoes, gravy, etc.) For over $200 a night???? SERIOUSLY???
I would stay at this hotel again and give them another chance but the biggest issue needs to be fixed. The issue at hand is there was an ant infestation. There were ants everywhere. The room was very unclean. I didn't have a big problem with the ants until my partner and I had food and snacks for our stay and the ants infested all of it. That was very annoying because we had spent money and it was wasted. The TV quality was horrible and there was a light that didn't work. I did report the issue and nothing was done about it. With those 2 things nothing was a big deal but the ants is what really did it. I'm not sure if my partner and I were being dramatic and I know ants are natural and I understand accidents but this shouldn't be a problem that a hotel should have as they should keep up with the cleanliness of their establishment.
Nothing to complain about and nothing to get excited about. A satisfactory stay. Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast room and breakfast were good. Nothing much else to say except I would stay again. We stayed one night. Reception staff and breakfast staff very nice.
Tried calling hotel for several weeks to cancel reservation. They didn't answer phone for several weeks Had to cancel thru corporate , they charged me for room and a month later still no refund. Never Best Western again
We got to the motel around 10:30 pm . The person that checked us in told us the the locking mechanism was broken were it attached to the door but that the lock would still work. When we got to the room we could see that the lock assembly was not attached at the top and took two hands to open the door so I had to set everything door open it. I have pictures of the dried blood one the nightstand . That we did not see till the next morning. There was also a stain on a towel that looked like blood but could have been makeup. The next morning we went down for breakfast all the eggs were all precooked which isn't bad but for the fact that they were all burnt. Eggs should be yellow not brown. My brother stayed at the motel and also said it was his worst experience. We were there for a funeral.
hotel has narrow area for toilet in regular rooms causing difficulty to use, all rooms have narrow showers including handicap making it hard for disabled to shower. staff was excellent and helpful when we needed to move from regular to handicap room due to toilet area.
My room keys for my original room (after two trips upstairs with all of my baggage) never worked. My room key for my second room didn't work after a trip to my vehicle. (No, the keys were not near a cell phone) The room had water damage on the ceiling and the AC was very loud. The bed linens smelled poorly, not clean. The remote threw an error to the TV stating low batteries, after a trip to the front desk where the representative attempted (unsuccessfully) to get himself into other rooms for batteries he was able to find some in the office, but the remote still did not work from the short distance away at the bed. I had to get up and be within 2 feet for it to work. Quite expensive for the lack of cleanliness I left midday and didn't bother to stay my second night.
I was here for a week in November/December 2022. The front desk lady was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good for a best western. Pancake machine was awesome. Whole milk available for coffee was my favorite I hate creamer. Surprised by the amount of tv channels offered, I was even able to watch World Cup games. Negatives were housekeeping. I was there a week and they literally came in everyday and took the dirty towels and left clean ones. Anytime I needed more soap, toilet paper, or in room coffee products I had to go tot he front desk. They even neglected to empty the in elk garbage most days. I don't expect a full room service daily but at least keep the products supplied. Room was nice, all tile but could use some touch ups.
Unpleasant stay due to staff -mainly the woman with the grey hair who was rude and at one point got hysterical over coffee creamer. This woman signaled us out from the beginning and watched our every move. I've stayed at other places from 1 to 5 star establishments and never have I ever felt so discriminated against than I did here. I suggest the budget inn if you are ever in the area.
Our room for our family only had 1 towel which had a hair on it, the hallway was kept hot and smelled musty, as well as the room smelling musty. Our floor mat had holes in it, as well. If you need assistance at the front desk, best of luck it was hardly manned.
Mixed messaging in Trip Advisor reviews gave us a pause before booking, but we decided we were only staying for one night and this Best Western was closest to the event we had planned. Upon entry to our room there was a must smell in the air. It only went away when the heater was turned on- to dry a shirt because there was no hair dryer in the bathroom. Our bedroom walls and flooring was brand new, but the furniture was not and the bathroom had not been redone. There was a ton of mold in the bathtub. The pillows are tiny half pillow squares. When I went to the front desk to ask for a hair dryer there was a sign that said they would be back in 10 minutes that was up until we checked out at left. Basically this stay was ok. The room was clean (other than the mold from AC and bathroom). There could have been better service from the front desk. Breakfast was complimentary and had the typical options including both waffles and pancakes.
After seeing reviews on this hotel I was skeptical about staying there. After staying there for three nights, this is what I found. The room was clean, well maintained and fresh. The lobby and front desk area actually has a small well stocked commissary with all kinds of snacks and toiletries for sale. The breakfast was a full breakfast and continually replenished during the morning service. The pool was clean but not heated. The jacuzzi looked under repair and was not open. There is also a workout room on the pool deck that looks out onto the pool, it has treadmills and some weights. That was a total surprise. I have already booked another stay with this hotel. If this location works for you, I don't know why you'd stay anywhere else. JimB
This hotel was clean with an excellent breakfast. The rooms are updated and quite nice. Price is reasonable and it is easy to get in and out with a big parking lot. The service was absolutely wonderful and better than many full service hotels and fancy chain hotels I have stayed in related to business travel. Helen is the best. She is at the front desk and at breakfast!!!!
We didn't like the room service but breakfest was good. They could improve on cleanliness in the rooms, sheets, pillow cases, towels, and pool. There were stains and dirt. They said told me they are suppose to change the sheets & pillow cases everyday but that was never done in my week stay. The staffs were not sympathic at all.
Hotel and room seem to have been recently updated. Not enough staff to keep the place running effectively? No one at front desk for most of my stay. No microwave in the room and no attempts to fix the issue. Dirty/broken pool and fitness facilities. Breakfast was better than expected, but some items offered were out of stock during my stay.
Awesome hot breakfast and the yogurt bar was fabulous!!! Older hotel but updated very well... impressed! Very friendly & helpful staff. Only issue was a mildew smell due to humidity in the room. ? Maybe needs a filter change in AC unit..?
When we checked in at almost 4pm our room was not ready. I explained that our child had a bathroom accident and she said we had to come back in 30 minutes. We waited 30 minutes in our vehicle—still not ready. Then on check out they charged us an extra night and said we booked an extra night. Which we didn't. I even had the confirmation email that showed we didn't. She said my card was declined and I needed to use another form of payment even though the charge was already out of my account that morning I pulled it up and showed her. She said it couldn't be. The room was musty smelling, the tub was rusty, the toilet was filthy. They apparently didn't have anyone to clean rooms so we did the best we could to clean our own room.
From the towel on the floor wrapped around the bottom of the a/c unit to soak up the water to the horrid smell, I cant say enough bad. Towel rack rusty, cracked cover plates, smell of mold. Choose another place to stay.
The skin was very clean well kept the pool area was clean well-kept the rooms were clean and well-kept the brakes West was fresh and hot and very good the internet service was excellent and the staff was very polite
This is an average hotel. Nothing special, but it is the closest to my husband's hospital. The last stay I had (Dec. 4,5) the hotel room smelled like it was an old smoker's room. They couldn't switch me because the hotel was full. I got used to it after a while. The toilet ran the whole weekend and I had to keep the door shut to drown out the noise. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked liked I wanted with a continuous fan for background noise. My opinion is that the rooms are a bit overpriced but obviously I'll pay for convenience. The breakfast is good and Ms. Helen, the attendant, is sweet and accommodating. Please Best Western Bowling Green CLEAN your foyer and the foyer landline phone. it was disgusting.
Top two of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in and the hotel was quite expensive for the area. Staff placed me in a room where the shower curtain rod is a breath from falling down and I was told I'd be given a discount if I stayed in that room versus changing rooms because they couldn't fix it. Entire hotel smells of mildew and staff claims they can't smell it. I was awoken to hear a man screaming at his child and slamming doors at 530am. Tubs and toilets in rooms damaged or not in proper working order. I'd take my chances at the budget inn, Tropicana, or stay in Bartow or Sebring.
First room we where in had a strong odor of mold and after a few minutes I found black mold in the bathroom ceiling. Front desk then switched me to the room next to it ( last one avaliable) and that room had a slight smell. We just checked out that next morning and went to a different hotel the next day.
This hotel is the worse hotel you will ever stay at. The attendants at this hotel are completely incompetent on hospitality and safety. We had a fire on the 3rd floor due to someone overcooking something in their microwave, the attendant turned off the fire alarm and then did not bother to evacuate anyone on the 3rd floor. After we smelled the smoke because it was consuming our room, we immediately evacuated the building informing others on the hall. The hotel staff made up excuses about the incident to minimize the seriousness of the situation and on top of all that they could not move us to another room and the third floor's AC was broken so the floor could not ventilate. We were forced to either go back upstairs or go to another county because this is the only hotel in the area. To make matters worse the attendant never tried to make it right. We were never offered any accommodations for our safety. We had to sleep the entire night with wet towels around our door to keep smoke out but by then we had smoke all int he rooms and we coughed all night. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Just stay in Sebring, FL or another town but do not stay here it isn't safe in any way!
Waiting is long to check in. Vending machine doesn't have water neither does front desk. Other guests were smoking marijuana in the pool area. A/C in room leaked all over floor. Bathroom was not very clean and bed sheets had black particles all over
When I walked into the lobby I wasn't sure that I was in the right room. It looked like a break-room area. There was a counter masquerading as a receptionist desk and across from it old chairs were stacked. I actually wondered about the cleanliness of the the rooms due to the smell of the lobby.
The property is nicely maintained and everything was clean. However I had a confirmation for two queen beds and when I arrived it had been changed to one king. I was not advised about this until I checked in. Clerk on desk said it wasn't his fault and was indifferent to my problem.
Reported to the Front Desk Clerk about the AC in my room was not properly working (not blowing out cold). I was told that maintenance wasn't there and she did not know when someone will show up to take care if the problem. Had to spend the night with the unit blowing out warm air. Very uncomfortable.
Hotel is situated in a rural area. Staff was extremely nice and courteous. Hotel was extremely clean and well kept. I saw someone cleaning another room and she was actually on her hands and knees cleaning off the shelves and taking the upmost care to clean that room. I have family in the area so I will definitely be staying there again.
The lobby appears to be very well-kept. However during my stay I did not see anyone cleaning at all. The best Western in Bowling Green, FL has a very bad odor to it. It smells like mold. I entered my room and upon me cleaning down the surfaces there was a batch of bugs crawling around on my bedside table. I am informed the front desk clerk they appear not to be surprised by the situation. I was then transferred to another room. I wife found this room and only just to discover at that time was one bug near the TV. I waking later about five-ish a.m. to discover my computer was covered with the bugs on the desk. The ice machine on the first floor taste funny. However the staff was nice. There are cameras in the hallways. I never seen a sign informing the guest. Very disappointed with this stay at best Western in Bowling Green Florida.
Horrible experience stayed for a week while working in the area was told I wouldn't be getting my deposit back because I stayed a day longer then I paid for which is a complete lie first of all look at the cameras which will show me paying on 4 separate occasions throughout the week I stayed but was turned down asked to speak to manager was turned down secondly I have never ever ever stayed any were were you stay the night then pay cash the next day so because they made a mistake and took my cash without getting a receipt which I asked for every time I paid they refused to review the cameras and are basicly stealing my hundred doller deposit absolutely would not recommend this place to anyone its so disappointing that through these hard time people a company like this is stealing money from their customers
I stayed here for the weekend, and there were sugar ants in my bathroom and on my beside table, i had no food in the room to attract the ants. Also my bathroom light wouldn't turn off because the switch was broken so my room was always light. I went and told the MANAGER about the ants and light switch situation and he said “there's nothing i can really do about this besides get the maids to look at it”. Really!? no discount, complimentary stay, anything? To put the icing on the cake at 5:00am cops were banging on the door next to me yelling for a guy named Chris to come out of his room or else they're busting it down.. 10/10 would not recommend this hotel!!! staff does not care about anything but their paycheck.
There is no excuse for rude staff. It shows a lack of proper training, poor management and a lack of caring for the customers. It does not matter what the room is like or how much it cost, we all have choices. My choice is to stay elsewhere.
Great crew anxious to help make your stay the very best--large, comfortable and clean rooms, reasonable rates, good breakfast and great bold coffee! Centrally located on FL. St. Rt. 17 SW of Tampa/St. Petersburg and NE of Sarasota
(See review title) (1) Stayed for one night. No hot water (literally, not even lukewarm) in bathroom on morning of checkout. Called front desk multiple times that morning but phone constantly busy. Had to take cold shower. (2) Left written complaint for manager (who was not there) at front desk when we checked out (02/16/2020) and followed up by email a few days later, but no response to date (02/27/2020. (3) At breakfast, pancake machine and yogurt machine were both out of order. (4) Last (and least important) there was one tiny sample bottle of shampoo supplied in room, but no conditioner. I asked about this at front desk and was told hotel was out of conditioner.
Just an overnight visiting family. The beds were comfortable. Room right by the elevator which we like. We did not have breakfast because we were meeting family in town but it sure smelled good. Good value for the price.
Drove 45 minutes to stay at this hotel because they have a hot tub. Upon arrival the hot tub was cold and would not turn on, When I spoke to the night clerk she said it was not working at that moment. Notified Expedia of the issue and when they called the manager he flat lied to them saying that it was working. I then called the manager and asked him if it was working he said yes. I then asked him to go out and feel the temp or turn the unit on, which he asked how would i know if it was working. I told him I had just stayed there and he became upset telling me not to call him again. If this is the way they treat there customers I have no reason to recommend this terrible place to anyone. STAY AWAY, they are rude and lie. The night clerk was extremely nice and apologetic however the day manager DUDE was a condescending POS on the phone. This is the worst management I have had to deal with and if this dude is the way Best Western wants their chain represented I will not be staying with them anytime. A/C in the room made a terrible noise and was hard to sleep in. Appears they maybe remodeling because they stuck everyone on the 3rd floor and the lobby..... Wont go again
this was a short family trip we got in before in check time and were able to check in early with no problem and our stay was wonderful we will definitely be staying there in the future if need be and we do recommend this Best Western.
I had great customer service. The breakfast bar was enjoyable and had a lot of breakfast food varieties. The hotel was beautiful and up to date and the decor was nice. The pool area had a cool pool and bar and a heated jacuzzi and although I didn't go to the gym it was a nice ammenity.
I have been staying here every time I come home. The older woman is a Gem, That smile of hers greets you in the morning and sets the tone for the day. This hotel is great for me, I come home to Bowling Green and stay here. It lets me visit with family and not have to drive far away to get a good night sleep.
I am in this area regularly for work and this is the place all of our employees come to when in town. The hotel is clean and welcoming. The rooms are always clean, they are well decorated and the staff is extremely hospitable. There is a lovely pool and hot tub outdoors that are always available to the guest. Nice place to stay.
Was very nice and staff was friendly. Rooms were very clean and pool was nice. Location was very convenient for our travel. We stay at this location ever time we visit with family. Would recommend it to anyone.
They just redid this hotel and it looks really good. The breakfast can not be beat. Delicious biscuits and gravy and cheese omelettes. Helen will help teach you how to use the waffle maker or just make it for you. She is so kind. I like that this hotel has a washer and dryer as I was in the river all day. Close to everything.
I recently had the pleasure of spending one unexpected night at this hotel, which was recommended to me by a cashier at the neighboring Wal-Mart store. I happened to be traveling solo from the west to the east coast of Florida for work, and needed a place to rest my head for one night after a long day and a very long drive. Boy was I glad I stumbled across this hotel, which was clean, safe, and extremely comfortable. From the moment you enter this hotel, you can see that the management/owner(s) take great pride in its upkeep. The entire property (from the lobby, to the guest rooms) are modern and clean. The woman working at the front desk was extremely helpful, professional, and courteous and she is most certainly an asset to the hotel. My room was located on the second floor and it was very large. Although it had an external air conditioning unit, it quickly cooled the room down and kept it at a consistently comfortable temperature. My room was equipped with two very comfortable plush queen beds with nice bedding and four pillows on each bed. There was also a nice spacious workdesk, a large dresser, flatscreen television and excellent lighting in the room. The laminate flooring was beautiful, yet I also appreciated the small area of carpeting closest to the beds. In addition, there was a very large closet complete with an iron and ironing board, along with a huge bathroom equipped with a tub and shower combo. Both the water pressure and temperature were perfect. I could not have asked for a better night's sleep. The only reason I did not give this hotel a five-star rating was because I found the pre-tax nightly rate of 199.00 to be very high for the area. With that being said, it was a Friday night over a holiday weekend that also marked the beginning of Spring Break for the area. With that being said, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an exceptionally clean, safe, and quiet hotel.
I was extremely happy with my stay here. On the phone or in person, the staff was incredibly nice and accommodating. My room was a great size and very very clean. The bed was great and comfortable..The pillows are very soft, I do wish they had some that were a little more firm and a little bigger. But I still slept good. I actually already booked another room for next month!
We were traveling from West Palm Beach for a wedding in Ona, FL. Decided to stay here. What a mistake that was. We checked in and room keys didn't work. 4 trips to lobby before we got anyone to check the lock. Staff tried and couldn't get the lock to work. We also noticed the AC didn't work. We were told that we would have to change rooms, but wasn't told until we were leaving for wedding. At midnight, we got back to hotel and no one at the front desk. Had to wait for half hour and girl showed up. She had to go to original room and let us in since our keys didn't work. She assured me that the keys to new room work. Well they didn't and another trip to the lobby. Again she disappeared and didn't come back for another half hour. Finally got into new room and asked for a late checkout. The next morning the day staff said no late checkout had been noted and we had to leave by checkout time. I left my name and number for general manager to contact me. Voiced my complaint with day staff. Got no call from general manager, so I wrote an email hoping to voice my complaint. Got no response. They just don't care about their guests. Worst place and staff. Told the day staff at lobby that if the general manager didn't call me, I'd leave a terrible review on Trip Advisor...so here you go. Bottom line: if you don't care neither do they.
Upon entering the lobby we noticed a peculiar odor but after a long day of travel we needed to get some sleep and checked in at the front desk We proceeded to our assigned room on the second floor and opened the door only to discover luggage already on one of the beds. Our first reaction was to question the security of staying at a hotel that would issue room keys to an already occupied room so we decided to head back to the front desk and cancel our reservation. Ultimately we never received a refund despite not setting foot in the room. We went to another more reputable establishment about 30 minutes away and for the same price slept with peace of mind in MUCH nicer accomodations.
The location of the hotel was convenient in visiting family and friends in Wauchula and Bowling Green, Florida. The staff at night was friendly and treated us like family. The AC worked well especially it being hot for December and January.
Pleasant surprise after reading a number of negative reviews on this site. The clerks on check in and check out were so nice and helpful. Great breakfast, loved the pancake machine. Room was clean and comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. Not much in the area, but if you need to be there, you'll enjoy your stay. Strong 4 star, 5 stars reserved for The Ritz.
Avoid. Unkept. Low quality linens and other appointments. VERY loud a/c and lots of “other guest” noise. Shower and Hot tub were in disrepair and dangerous. Very unfriendly staff particularly a youn Hispanic nighttime clerk. Manager avoided us on purpose and the corporate number told us they have no satisfaction guarantee?
I love staying at Best Western Heritage Inn and Suites. I always gets a great nights rest and the beds are so comfortable. I love that they have a gym and the guest have access 24 hours. Complemental Breakfast is the best part.
We were very disappointed with our stay at the Heritage Inn. The hotel is undergoing extensive renovation and the entire place is a construction zone. Our room was OK, but the odors from all the construction activities were unpleasant. There was no vending machine. We were not made aware of this situation when we reserved the room in advance. No discount was given. We were told the hotel was not extending any rate reductions due to the ongoing construction. We would not stay here again.
This room was filthy dirty. They changed us to a second room that was just as dirty. The bathroom sinks and tub were dirty. There was debris on the floors. The switch plate at the sink was missing. The knob on the heater / A/C was gone. You could not adjust the temperature of the room. The price for the room was almost 3 times the normal rate. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.
The online hotel photos are NOT an accurate representation of the current condition of the hotel. The entire hotel is in drywall; entry, hallways, and reception/breakfast area. Drywall dust everywhere. I do not see on the hotel website any mention of the renovation. Our room was finished and decent, but the in room furniture needs to be replaced.
We stayed here only one night, thankfully, as the entire place was under construction and had odors of cement, glue and paint. What made it worse is that carpets were replaced in the hallways, and the walls were spackled but not painted where guest rooms were located. While the room was updated, it was only partially renovated. Room number signs were on the floor. It's bad enough there was a renovation, but it should have been done in phases with one wing or floor done at a time. The staff was polite under the circumstances, but at booking they should have informed guests about the renovation and progress of the renovation.
UNBELIEVABLE!!! Stayed 10 mins. after checking in. I have never refused a room before. Also have our daughter and family with us. Irma ruined this hotel and it should NOT be open. Corporate kept it open. It reeked so bad. Black mold was everywhere. I will post photos. Contacting BW head quarters. It is not healthy for us and we felt badly for the staff. They were kind.
Under renovation - all cosmetics. Room was clean. No water pressure. Bed was good. Breakfast great variety. Make your waffles, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, various drinks. Staff was friendly and helpful. Convenient location.
Quick one night trip - this hotel offered great breakfast , accommodating staff and great amenities. Would stay again- very pleased with customer service and rate that offered a full hot breakfast and free wifi
I recently stayed at this hotel for a business trip. This is the only hotel in the area and my stay was being paid for by the business I was visiting. I opened the door to my room, and immediately upon opening the door, was almost knocked over by a strong smell of mold and mildew. I immediately went down to the front desk and ask about the problem and the front desk person gave me a container of air freshener to spray in the room. The air freshener really didn't help at all. I was offered another room but the companions I was traveling with also stated that their room smelled as well. I was told that this problem was due to the hurricane Irma getting water inside the rooms. We cut our business short so we didn't have to stay an extra day at the hotel. On another note, the showers literally trickle out water, there is absolutely no water pressure at all. On a positive note, the staff at the hotel were very friendly.
The Room Key machine was broken when I arrived and a replacement was not available, so no one who stayed there had their own room key. The room I was give had a non functioning AC unit. BW has a long way to go to improve their image. You cannot say you are improving and then not improve.
Nice employees, comfortable room moldy smell sticky carpeting beds clean and comfy bathrooms very clean breakfast same as other chains nothing special but a breakfast none the less!! A/c worked well too
The staff were friendly, hotel was clean & rooms were nice. Requested two rooms together & was accommodated. We only stayed one night and got there late so were unable to experience the spa and pool. Breakfast in the morning was very good, it consisted of hot waffles, pancakes, scrambled eggs, orange juice, fruit and coffee & tea.
The Best Western Hotels & Resorts in Bowling Green, Florida is an excellent hotel with a great staff. The property and room were very clean and decorated for Autumn / Thanksgiving. The breakfast was good with a lot of choices - both hot and cold foods. I would recommend this location to anyone looking to stay in their area.
Customer service at check in and breakfast was very good. Wish the TV had more channels available. Was convenient to family we were visiting. There's not much in the area but more than when I visited 15 years ago. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area
We have stayed at the Best Western/Bowling Green at least twice a year since 2009. It has always been consistently above average of other hotels. Our latest stay, in October 2017, was roughly the same even though they were still repairing Hurricane Irma damage. The repair work did not affect our stay to any significant level.
Had to change room because TV remote did not work. A/C cooled very well, but did not pull humidity out of room, it was miserable in room because of the A/C. Not enough staff to even answer phone at front desk. Had to go downstairs to front desk because of this.
needs to work on customer service skills, we order a room with two beds and a sofa bed was given to us. terrible customer service. We call many times to get things going no one would returned our calls including the office manager. I definitely would not recommend this hotel.
Items broken at our stay two years ago are still broken during this stay in the same room. They did not verify ID nor verify credit card used for reservation before using it to process room charge. Shower headed looked like it would fall out of the wall if touched and it leaked. Phone in room did not work. You only got a busy signal when you tried to call the front desk.
Not my happy place, noisy musky odors, lack of employees. Not sure what was going on at pool, but some kind of party for people not renting rooms but a guest of guest. Loud and noisy. Not going back there. Old furnishings, bed skirt torn off in places and very dirty around the sides of the a/c when you move draperies away.
This Best Western was convenient. The staff were all very friendly. The breakfast was good, with fresh items. The room was comfortable and quiet and away from the pool where there were a lot of loud kids. There must have been a family reunion - which is nice.
The rooms were moldy, pool had 50 people not staying in the hotel, liquid in elevator all weekend, toilet flapper valve was a problem. The breakfast was ok, but the drinks were all water and meat was questionable. We won't be back.
GREAT EMPLOYEES AND SERVICE. The general manager Noey was very pleasant. Our room was easy to get too and very spacious. Enjoyed cooling off in the pool with all these hot days in Florida. We will definitely be returning to to this Best Western!!!!
Staff are exceptional, particularly the breakfast staff and the front desk staff. Very friendly and efficient. Best place to stay in the Wauchula area. Breakfast is always good and staff tries to do whatever they can to accommodate the guests. This is always my first choice in this area. Easy access. Great value.
10 room group. 2 with bed bugs, 4 no hot water. Breakfast items unavailable because cook had to double at registration because noone came to work. The worst hotel experience imaginable.Avoid at all costs!
The employees are always very welcoming and the rooms are very clean. Desk agents go out of their way to help with anything you may need. 5 star service here. The breakfast lady even offers to make your waffle for you...and serve you at your table!!
We chose the suite so the kids could each have a separate place to sleep, one had the queen bed and one had the sofa sleeper. There were no sheets in the room for the sofa bed. The room was large and had a great kitchen with full size fridge. The breakfast was great and the area was very clean. The staff was nice as were the people that we met at breakfast. Nice place to stay.
I had bedbugs in my bed. The front desk moved me at midnight did not offer any help or any refund. I had bedbugs in the other room. I still have not heard from the manager. I left in the middle of the night with no help again. Coffee pot was not cleaned out from last visitor. I am contacting cooperate office when it opens at seven. they was not concerned about anything they would not even come let me show them in the room. I have pictures of both rooms. DO NOT STAY THERE
I travel often for business and am generally not a complainer, but this hotel was far below expectations. The shower had mold all around the caulked edges and the water pressure was so low I practically had to hug the wall to rinse off. The maids never replaced shampoo/conditioner or soap; they just sat folded towels on the counter. The AC/fan in my room was intermittently loud and would not turn off. The AC kept me up at night. The room had a faint mold scent, but it was enough to make me uncomfortable. The mold smell in the exercise room was unbearable. They do have a decent waffle maker, but that's not worth $115 a night.
We love staying at best western when ever we travel Great service and facilities and always super breakfast. This one fell short. Poor breakfast, poor water pressure when hotel is busy, dirty pool and pool area. Not up to Best western Standards. Still best Hotel within about 50 miles so what can you do other than hoping they will fix the problems.
Love this hotel. This is the only hotel in the area but it's the best BW property I've ever stayed out. Nice renovated rooms and very friendly staff. Have stayed long term and they have made me feel at home.
There are a lot of small mom and pop motels within the 20 mile radius but most do not measure up to the quality of a Best Western. I travel in this area a few times a year and always stay here. The hotel does have a king bed option with a separate small seating area in addition to the normal two queen beds. It's comfortable, clean and the breakfast options are nice and tasty.
We were visiting family in the area and spent 2 nights. 4 stars for hotel: Clean rooms & lobby, comfy bed, but sleeper sofa in our room was broken down in the middle plus no pillows, linens or blankets for it. Nice pool/jacuzzi area with handicap equipment, ok breakfast of microwaved sausage patties, biscuits (no gravy), waffle machine, apples and 3 day old bananas, toast, some pastries, juices and yogurt. No milk (lady was looking for some for her kids but breakfast attendant was sweeping the hallway floors..). Bad news: in the middle of nowhere ( except orange groves, cow pastures and land fills) and pricey for the area...no restaurants, bars, gas stations within walking distance, was a Walmart, a few fast food/pizza/strip mall eating places 5 minutes south, no decent sit down places. Beware: if you visit this area on Sundays the County is dry on Sundays meaning no alcohol sales of any kinds and most of the few restaurants close too.
We needed a hotel to stay overnight since our church went to see the play on the Story of Moses. The hotel was clean, has complimentary breakfast, and free wifi. The rooms have microwave and refigerator.
This is in a great location close to restaurants and a walmart. Close to several spots to put your canoe in the Peace River. Helen at the front desk is a gem. She helped me several times. I arrived early but needed my delicate plants to not be in my hot car. She write a note on their bag and made sure they were safe. Then next morning she asked if anyone needed help with the waffle maker. She had hit biscuits and sausage ready too. Good breakfast options. My only complaint is that the rooms smell musty.
If you need to stay in this area this is a good find. There is a great staff, the hotel is spotless and very well maintained and the breakfast is better than you would expect. Overall a great experience for a one night stay.
My husband and I spent our anniversary weekend at this hotel. Was impressed with the lobby decor and we loved our hottub King Bed room. Staff were very helpful in giving us information about the local restaurants and getting our rewards card info put in the system. At the time of our visit, the outside hot tub was broken. In the exercise room, they have one each of treadmill, elliptical, and stationary bike. We did look into the conference room and it was a nice size. Out back is a picnic area with a roof. We watched the lightning bugs out there after dark (lightning bug season is near the end of March to April) that were out early. We were pretty happy with the stay.
After searching for accommodation in central Florida we chanced upon this hotel on main highway close to Wauchula. Worth a stopover as it is clean, pleasant and very quiet. Rooms were spacious, bathroom clean and towels thick. Breakfast was standard Best Western style. Lots of parking space but you must drive to Wauchula for restaurants.
AC didn't blow cold, never received replacement towel & rags second day, room had musty smell, hot tub didn't work. Asked for a discount on room @ checkout but was denied. When room service came by on 2nd day, I stated I just needed towels & rags. She said she didn't have them on cart. I told her I was leaving within 20 minutes if she would come back & clean room & leave towels & rags. She rolled eyes & left & never returned.
My Family and I stayed there over night after a Family Reunion, The staff and room was nice except the AC Was not cooling we were given another room after reporting it to the front desk, The place was quiet and we was able to get a good nights sleep
Our hotel room had a very musty odor. I had also stayed at this same hotel approx 2 years ago and it was the same thing. When I asked the receptionist about it upon check out she said the hotel had the rooms a/c serviced and when the technician did not seal the a/c's back properly, thus dampness and water were getting into the rooms. My question, the hotel knows what the problem is and obviously it has been going on for some time, why hasn't the hotel fixed the issue?
We needed a one night stay to get away from Hurricane Matthew. This hotel was perfect and kept us safe. We were allowed to check in early and the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. We don't have any complaints. We had refrigeration and microwave in the room. It was everything we needed.
We were evacuated from the storm and we were very happy to have a safe place to stay. We stay here often. BUT! Rug was very dirty, and we were overcharged, we do have hardcopy of our original reservations.
Due to the remoteness of where I was headed, this was the best option, as our first option was out of our price range. The reviews when booking made the hotel sound like a decent place. Unfortunately, that is not what we found. First, all but the first floor smelled like smoke, even with a no smoking policy. My co-worker had a person in the neighboring room that was smoking week. The breakfast was medicore at best. They served hot biscuits and sausage patties that were microwaved - the only egg option were hard boiled eggs. Additionally, safety was a concern as the door on my side of the building on the first floor appeared to remain unlocked, even with a key pad next to it. This is very concerning for a young female staying on the first floor by an exit door. Overall, very dissatisfied with my stay, and will look elsewhere when I visit next.
Very good staff, all are very happy to help all of customer. As special Noey as GM was always smiling. Helen at breakfast was nice too, she was keeping well stocked everything. Property was decor as its name heritage. need little work on landscaping and parking lot.
Had a wonderful stay here with friends and family for the weekend! The rooms were perfect and the staff was exceptional. Every staff member we came in contact with was always willing to help and go out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. You can tell this hotel has great management! Can't wait to return for our next weekend trip to visit family.
I enjoy my stay every time I'm in Bowling Green. The front desk clertk Liz, goes the extra mile to ensure my stay is nothing less than Excellent! I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the area!
My wife and I stayed in Bowling Green, Florida for 1 night on a business trip. The hotel was first rate, the staff was very accommodating and the breakfast was exceptional. The service person in the breakfast room was outstanding. It was a most enjoyable experience.
Very nice staff who were professional, friendly and polite. There are very few hotels on this stretch of highway 17 so it was a relief to find a clean, quiet hotel with nice amenities. Once we checked onto our room the fridge was making a loud ticking sound like a time bomb in an old James Bon movie. We went back to the desk and asked for another room. the desk person was very courteous and got a new room quickly. The continental breakfast had yogurt, cereal, tasty biscuits and waffles if desired. the breakfast area even had an attendant who offered to prepare waffles for you. Our room had a dorm sized refrigerator as well as a microwave. Having the fridge was key as we came to paddle an 11 mile stretch of the Peace River and needed a place to keep water cold as well as snacks for our adventure. Wauchula is a short drive from the hotel where there are several options for dinner. The hotel has a nice pool yard and small fitness center next to the pool area.
Highly recommend, first comment I made walking into the hotel was "it smells good and looks clean." and it was. We got a room with two queen beds and they were very comfortable, clean, and spacious. There was a variety of things for breakfast, pool was clean, and the staff were helpful and polite. Overall a fantastic place to stay.
Check-in was quick. The room was clean. The staff was friendly. The continental breakfast had a good assortment of food available. The highlight of our stay were the delicious breakfast waffles, made fresh and to your liking.
Up to date hotel, clean and nicely appointed. Great location. It's fairly new construction so it's not wore out. Good parking, well lite. The beds were nice, television and access to the world wide web were real good. People at the desk were pleasant and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.
This is the only major hotel chain in Hardee County, FL. I have the opportunity to stay here several time since the establishment opened. It has always been clean, quiet and well kept. The staff is always friendly and helpful.
I enjoyed my 4 day stay at the Best Western, friendly staff, nice rooms, pool and the free breakfast was much more than cold cereal and donuts. they had waffles, fruit, toast, muffins, egg, sausage, biscuits, milk, cofee, juice and nice dining area.
I was pleasantly surprised by this great place. I was in town for the passion play and I must say that me and my other family members really enjoyed it here. Comfortable beds, friendly staff, and great breakfast. Helen at the breakfast buffett is wonderful!
Travelled from Sarasota for the live presentation of "The Life of Jesus" and an overnight. This live play has over 150 actors and 200 animals performing Jesus life from birth. Checked into the BW, went to play and returned about 11:30. Room is nice, clean and quiet. There seems to always be a group that ruins it for everyone staying over. Around 12:30, continuing until 1:30, this group (with kids running up and down the hallway) were noisy, yelling to each other and generally disturbing the peace and quiet for others trying to sleep. I believe BW continues to have just one person on the desk during the night, so no one took the initiative to correct the situation. Inconsiderate groups will always make a stay memorable as not so much fun. Breakfast was bare minimum. Business Center (a desk with a chair) was not working. Elevator was not working most of the time.
I have stayed here 6 weeks for work. The HOT TUB has been broken the entire time. The treadmill has been as well. The guest computer has been broken for 2 weeks. Last week the elevator was broken for a few days. Thankfully I was on the bottom floor. I think the owner needs to come up with some $$$ and fix this place up. The front desk clerk Ivan is very rude!
We normally love Best Western, but this one leaves a lot to be desired. We are Diamond members. Soon after we checked in I asked the Front Desk if we could possibly have a bottle of water as we are Diamond members and I saw 2 half bottles of Dasani water on the back desk. He went in the back and checked and said they were all out. We went to our room #105. We had 2 queen beds. I pulled the sheet back and there was a spot of blood on the sheet, so we slept on the other bed. There was mold around the tub. In the morning I went to us the treadmill in the fitness room. It did not work. I even asked Karan at the front desk if maybe I was doing something wrong. He said no it does't work. There was no soap or towels in the fitness room. The water dispensor was empty. Breakfast was sparse to say the least. There was no laundry bag in our room.
Absolutely no complaints. Very good price for a great room. We only stayed one night, but would recommend to anyone passing through. Staff was friendly and personable. Room was clean and comfortable. Couldn't have asked for a smoother stay.
We and another couple chose to stay at this hotel when we attended The Story of Jesus, 8 miles down the road in Wauchula. We checked-in after the play and brought all of our luggage in on a cart. When we got to the room, one of the beds wasn't made. It seemed that the rest of the room had been cleaned, but you couldn't be sure. Went to the desk and the clerk gave us the room next door. Checked it out and it seemed OK. After we unpacked and got ready for bed, my wife found that the toilet was not flushing. It was so late that we didn't want to fool around with moving to another room. Breakfast was pretty good, but nothing special. When we checked out, I told the desk clerk about the toilet issue and he said they would fix it. He also discounted our rate 10% as compensation, which wasn't much. All-in-all, we probably won't stay there again if we come back for the Passion Play in the future.
Hotel was clean and modern, room was great, bathroom good with plenty of clean towels and hot water. Fast free WiFi and quiet rooms. Good breakfast with great staff both in the breakfast room but also on reception. We used the hotel as a base for the 12 Hours of Sebring and despite being about 30 miles away it was a great run to the track with little traffic and few stop lights.
Room was clean. AC worked well. This is probably the best accomodations within a twenty mile radius. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out was very convenient. Staff was always courteous and eager to give suggestions on routes and dining options.
Just what you would expect form a Best Western--no surprises. Excellent breakfast and excellent breakfast service. We stayed at the Tropicana the year before and that was fine but with the added breakfast and cleanliness of the Best Western it's worth the extra money.
We stayed at this hotel because it was centrally located to the places we wanted to visit without having to change hotels nightly. The hotel was very clean. We had a king room and we were surprised with how big it was. The front desk was very efficient at check in and checkout. Breakfast was good and the lady taking care of the breakfast area would make your waffle for you so you didn't have to wait on it. Overall we were very pleased with this hotel.
The front desk staff was nice , friendly and helpful. Our room was clean. A/C worked well. Breakfast was good. Food and Coffee were better then I would have though. The breakfast staff helped you with waffles she was so nice and friendly.
My family has frequented this hotel since it was built because the other establishments in the area are filthy. We were concerned because it seemed on our last few yearly visits the facilities were not being properly maintained... With our last visit in August 2015 being interrupted by a huge pool party on Friday night! So we searched for other local hotels but decided to give our fave BW another try and we were not disappointed! Lobby had some updates in the decor... Towels were fresh... And the breakfast attendee was very cordial & accomodating. Need to improve on the hot water... Ended up 2 times with a lukewarm shower & the night lobby clerk stayed away from the front desk in a side room.
1.) I had a reservation for three nights. The first night, I checked in at 12:20am. When I checked my bank balance online the next morning...I discovered that my entire three night's stay had been deducted from my account at 7:10pm the previous night....five hours before I even arrived!!!! That is simply bogus...and more than likely...illegal. 2.) The property is in decent condition. However, my first night was spent in the wrong half of the building...because, in one entire half of the building, there is an obnoxious, loud, banging noise emanating from a compressor or a pump. It sounds like the in-room refrigerator is about to seize up....but it's actually not in the room...it's a major problem with a piece of machinery in the main physical plant. Hopefully, it will be repaired before it overheats to the point of catching fire. I asked the front desk clerk to come to my room to hear the noise so that he could accurately fill out a maintenance report. He did. And he agreed that the noise level was unacceptable. But the next day I discovered that he had reported no maintenance issues. 3) The next day I was moved to a different room. This room had an air conditioner that was spewing an odor that smelled like burning electrical wire. Even worse...the unit would not turn off....it was stuck on "on". When I went to the desk to report this to the new clerk, I mentioned the problems, and, without even looking....the clerk knew my room number - because "the air conditioner that stinks & won't shut off" was a well-known, on-going problem. I was moved to a third room...and it was fine. 4.) Check-out is 11:00am. At 10:30am, I received the cursory tap on the door and "housekeeping" verbal warning as the housekeeper entered my room....even though the "Do Not Disturb" sign was on the doorknob. I was dressed, fortunately. Other than these issues....the property was fine, and my stay was perfectly enjoyable. Just don't trust this property to handle your money ethically - or get a room in the wrong half of the building.
Good and clean and quiet. Out of the main drag. Improve on your breakfast selection. More health choices. Get ahead of the game. Front desk staff very pleasant. Breakfast lady very accommodating but very poor health breakfast. Too many sugar cereals and processed food. More health diet.
My husbands brother had passed away and we needed a place to stay..I was nervous about staying at a motel in a very small town..being we are fro tampa and have so many choices.. WOW--I have to say when i first say it i was ok this seems nice on the outside ..then inside i said wow just as nice and clean inside..Then to the room..Have to say the room was really nice clean-clean-clean.Whew i said i can stay here and rest well..the next morning the breakfast was great, could not have asked for more.. All the staff my Hats off to you..You were great .. So anyone have any doubts ,no worries ..you can know you will have a good nights sleep..
Maid service is terrible. One day you get five towels, the next you don't get any. Nice lady downstairs is the Rain Man of waffles. She is constantly begging to make you a waffle, creepy. Hot tub isn't hot. Rooms smell moldy. I took a chance here, never again.
Place is run like its on a tight budget. There may be 60 rooms but they only have 50 towels and wash clothes. Breakfast is very limited.Rooms had a smell to them. Not impressed with this hotel. When room was serviced they didn't make bed or change sheets in two weeks. Tv selection was poor and wifi was hit or miss.
Not worth the money. My room was not clean. The second time this year that I had this same complaint at this hotel. I will not stay at this location again. Best Western must not be checking the hotels.
The Bowling Green property has no competition within 10 miles, but has always been a very good location. We have stayed there several times per year, for 7-10 days per stay, for a number of years and the overall quality has been consistently quite good.
We came to do some fosil hunting around the creeks and areas. The hotel treated us incredible, Helen in housekeeping made us waffles and treated us like we were family, I think she is that way to everyone:) so ask for a waffle. Liz at the front desk gave us directions, more to do and really went out of her way to make our stay great. We will be back, oh yeah Joes BBQ ...unreal
for just over one hundred dollars a night, one should be able to sleep a full night. i had to pack my things and leave in the middle of the night to come home to get some sleep because i could not get comfortable on either of the two rock-hard beds in the room. i hate that this is the only hotel in the area. i'll probably go back, but only because there is no other option. next time, though, i'm bringing my air mattress, a roll of good toilet paper, and my own towel. whoever was in charge of pricing for this hotel should be ashamed of themselves. and in case anyone at the hotel actually reads this, the front desk should refrain from asking so many personal questions of guests. "what brings you here?" well, given that there are zero local attractions, restaurants, or nightlife, i think the answer is obvious. and it's generally considered rude to ask about a stranger's plans to have uninterrupted sex with their partner, unless you have been invited to join.
This is the only Inn in Bowling Green Florida. The Inn was very clean and the front desk was very friendly. I do have a couple of complaints. The pool was a green color and the Jacuzzi was freezing. Our room did have mold on the wall and there was a strange smell. Also the bathroom floor was very sticky. but overall the stay was quite and peaceful.
If you find yourself in this area, this is the choice of hotels that do not require a drive to another county. This is a quiet comfortable place to stay. It is no frills, but it does offer wifi, pool, and gym. The staff is very good. I am sorry I don't remember the name of the lady that worked the breakfast area, but I do remember that she was willing to come in early and make breakfast (even before the listed breakfast time). My aunt and uncle are from out of town, and they had to catch an early flight out of Tampa. What an awesome gesture. On the downside, if you want to go out to eat, you will have to drive a few miles to Wauchula or Bowling Green. Bartow or Sebring are a half hour drive.
This was my first time staying at this hotel and I have to say that I am very disappointed. I am a business traveler and have been to many locations and hotel brands but this up there with places NOT to stay at. I had a client in the area and very early meetings so I decided to stay at this location. I read some of the reviews (most of them bad) but I decided to give it a chance. The hotel is conveniently located on the the US 17 highway and there is a Walmart up the street and a McDonald's a couple of minutes away. The hotel itself looks like it was recently remodeled/new on the outside. Once you are inside everything changes, the rugs are over used, the paint is old and it feels dilapidated. The room itself was spacious and it seemed clean but I was very hesitant to get in the bed. I ironed my clothes for the morning and believe it or not the iron is chained/locked to the ironing board (pictured). Filling up the iron in the bathroom and ironing was such a hassle, do people steal irons? Really? Once I was done I decided to just get to bed and let it be. I could not fall asleep since it felt like the sheets had not been changed/moist smell. I tossed and turned all night and in the early morning I decided to just take a shower and get out of there. Once in the shower I found long black hairs on the walls (pictured). I have short brown hair so you can imagine how disgusting this sight was. I know that hotels are places where many people stay at but there should always be clean bathrooms. I would advise everyone to stay away from this hotel and if you have to stay there or decide to take your chances like I did make sure to request new sheets when you get to your room and thoroughly review the bathroom/shower area. When I travel to this area again I will be staying anywhere else but here.
Excellent trip - hotel was lovely. Had fun around the pool and enjoyed our stay. Great breakfast as well!!! Very clean and the staff was extremely helpful. I will definitely go back and stay again. Everyone there is always pleasant and very accommodating.
Just do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. Anywhere else. This place was horrible. I travel over 300 days a year. This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I was in the area for over a month and checked out of here early to stay a few cities away and commuted over an hour each way daily to avoid this place! Six other coworkers did the same thing. That bad! The room was musky, the carpet was sticky, the ac had mold all around it, the bed looked/felt like it was 20 years old. The sheets had holes in them, the shower towels were glorified hand rags, and the hotel staff was very inconsiderate of the "do not disturb sign" I had placed on my door. I was on night shift (so I sleep during the day) and they would always knock or call. The breakfast has No variety. Same thing every day. Housekeeping would only be offered during the middle of the day (I would be sleeping) so not very accommodating. What's worst is when you would complain to management about everything, they would just say "we know, the owners won't do anything about it" Do yourself a favor if you stay in the area, consider staying in Bartow and commuting. You will be glad you did!
