"Standard two star budget hotel"

This BW receives a two star rating from me, with an "average" trip advisor rating of 3 bullet points. It's for budget minded travelers that don't have terribly high standards, but want their basic needs met. It was really exactly what I was expecting...no more, no less. It appears as if many needed renovations have recently taken place at about 90% of the property. The renovations made it a very good mid-week value under $100/night. It met 3 of my 4 basic needs; of which are cleanliness, comfort, quiet. It lacked the last need, that being safety and border-lined quiet(I did wake up from a car alarm around 2am, and another loud muffler twice). As for the safety...Traveling alone with my children, I just had an unsafe feeling. Maybe it was the confetti on the sidewalk(indicating parties go on here). Or perhaps the condom wrapper in the landscaping that made me think what kinda place is this? Maybe it was because the rooms are detached from the lobby/pool building that made me feel unsafe? I have never seen this, and it definitely made for inconvenience besides for safety reasons. What was also an inconvenience was the ability to access my room easily. There aren't any elevators, and I was on the second floor. The staircases are around the back side corners. It's hard to explain & a strange design. If you are on the second level and you want to access the lobby building, you have to go down a staircase then another level(partially underground) through the parking lot and around to the front of the building. Kinda annoying if I were staying a while! The lobby building is where the pool, exercise, and breakfast rooms are. All are very nice & clean. The continental breakfast included (self-serve) waffle or pancake maker, hard boiled eggs(cold), toast, Danish, bagels, yogurt, oatmeal, cold cereal, tea, coffee, juice. Pretty decent, but I was hoping for bacon or breakfast meat(like other budget motels offer). The indoor pool was warm but it was June, so not sure how well its heated in the winter. The hot tub wasn't hot. As for the room...like I said most of it is renovated(we had a room with 2 queens). The popcorn ceiling had weird patches on it, the carpet was a little old, and the bathroom(although clean) was old (except for the counter). The bathroom is extremely tiny. The door hits the toilet & the tub, tiny. But a nice feature is that there is another sink outside the bathroom. The tv, mini fridge, and all the linens are nice. For a 2 star hotel, the linens were better than expected. Beds & pillows were very comfy. All in all, not sure I would stay again... depending on the rate & time of year.

We were very pleased with this hotel. We had a king bed room that was spacious enough for an easy chair. The lighting was great. Everything was clean. Bed was comfortable. They had two sinks, one in an alcove, the other in the bathroom. The AC was electronic with a clever panel right on the machine. Easy to control. Lots of counter space. The Breakfast was more than adequate. This is the basic level of BW properties and we got a great rate. We would definitely stay here again. Do check out downtown (historic) Bordentown. There are lots of neat restaurants, bars, and small shops on Farnsworth. But be aware that finding a parking spot can be challenging.

We found the hotel to be convenient to the NJ Turnpike exit and it looked relatively new. Staff was very helpful when we had to change rooms because the first one we were given smelled of cigarette smoke but the new room was fine.

"Travel with a pet"

First time traveling solo with family pet. Was sent here by another hotel that was not pet friendly. Ground floor room was below grade level, either had to walk down stairs and pass another room with 2 dogs or walk down hill to ramp and then come back by other rooms with children that assumed all dogs were puppies. Warm April afternoon and all doors were open, dogs and children were loose. Twice had to get desk clerk to open door with card key. Door needed to be pushed and pulled at same time as inserting card, while holding leash. Room was acceptable but was a connecting room and children could be heard until they finally went to sleep. desk clerk friendly and accommodating, there was no other pet friendly room available. Slept well and left early in am.

"Great hotel"

Excellent stay for price . There was plenty of space for all of us.My family and I enjoyed the room. The kids loved the jet tub. They didn't want to get out.we enjoyed the free breakfast.We weren't expecting so many different breakfast options. We definetly the indoor pool. The kids didn't want to get out of that either. This hotel was the only hotel in the area that has an indoor pool versus an outdoor pool. The weather wouldnt permit us to go to an outdoor pool. The kids are still talking about the room today.

"Go down the street this is a dump and they don't care about the customer"

Stayed twice here and both times I was told that the problems were going to be taken care of was given a # to call if I wanted to try again so I was called and was told the person Ann Dorango General Manager Comfort Inn 609-298-9111 was on the phone and if I wanted to leave a message she would call me back NEVER GOT A CALL BACK Iam a Best Western rewards member and stay exclusively at BW but this one I will never go near

"Not worth the money"

Ridiculously overpriced for what you get. On a road trip and had to stop. Ended up with a queen bed and an old pullout sofa, which should have been fine, however sheets and ONE thin blanket for sofa were horribly worn. If it wasn't 1:00 in the morning we would not have stayed. Outlets and lamps in one room didn't work. Not the cleanest place ever, but not horrible. Old and patched up. Just no where near being worth $200 a night, $120 maybe. I've stayed in lots of places and this was probably the most overpriced ever.

"Road trip stop"

Stayed for a night during our road trip vacation and were pleasantly surprised! Check In staff was efficient and welcoming, room was clean n comfortable. We appreciated the ice water with lemon and grapefruit slices at the reception area as well as the included breakfast which was much more than your usual "coffee and a muffin" of most highway motels/inns. Juices, pastries, bagels, make your own pancakes/waffles etc. Keep it up!

"great spot jsut off highway"

clean mostly (carpet could use some attention. beds were comfy. bathrooms were adequately clean. friendly staff. included breakfast. very easy to get to off of both the turnpike and 206 and 295. quiet town. can park right in front of room.

"Best bang for my buck."

I enjoyed the stay and when I went to get another night, the clerk gave me the internet price which was the best price. Great place to be, if you need to stay in Borderntown this is where people should stay.

"Room was nice and clean"

Basic hotel with few amenities. did not get to use the pool so cannot comment. But room was spacious, nice and clean. The rooms were very well maintained and beds were very comfortable, with lots of extra pillows. However the area where we ate breakfast had a broken door to get in. It was very cold out and the door would not close. Hotel staff put a rag to help t close but it did not help and it was hard to keep it closed. Maintenance should notice these things and fix them as quickly as possible. it was uncomfortable to eat breakfast if you were close to the door.

"vacation travel"

The only disappointment was that the room smelled like it has been smoked in although it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. Otherwise, it was clean and the staff were very courteous. I would stay here again.

"Terrible experience with Best Western Bordentown Inn - Consider my experience before book"

I booked 2 Guest rooms with BW Bordentown Inn to stay with my friends family on 2/18 - 2/19. both families had kids with us. Instead surprises, we faced lot of disappointments from the time we reached the hotel. 1. The drinking water kept in the reception was too old and not cleaned properly. We are advised to not to drink. So I went outside and bought water bottles fro my use. 2. I booked both rooms as Non smoking but as soon as opened the room, my son and wife had a continuous cough due to heavy cigarette smoke came from the room. then the receptionist changed to next room, it was little better but still had the smell. so not sure how they are maintaining the non-smoke rooms. 3. Furniture are very old and bed is not comfortable. 4. We felt there is no safety and anyone can enter inside the guest rooms as the reception is in separate building and guest rooms are separated and access to anyone. 5. The keys didn't work, even the hotel attender not able to open it. so they gave me another set of key. But again those didn't work. finally the 3rd set off keys only worked. I hope this is the problem with door/lock as they are too old and need a separate skill to open the door and will not help during emergency. 6. Only good thing is the women in Breakfast room was friendly and helped her to prepare something for our lunch. The orange juice option was out of order. So please don't think about the money, with $10 additional you will get good hotels in the same area.

the hotel has a great indoor pool heated and very clean. The breakfast is very good they have nutella spread. Hotel is close to i 95 great adventure and there are many places to eat at .. Great hotel great price and pet friendly

"Was Better Two Years ago"

I come to his location yearly for New Years Eve and stay till New Years Day. The first year I came here was good. Second year they required a $50.00 incidental deposit as well as he facility where the swimming pool is located looks like it needs to be repaired. Also In the room itself it does not have any padding around the front door for cold drafts. We were cold in the room with the heat on high. Overall best western went down they need to update their rooms as well as where the swimming pool is housed at!!

"Horrendous"

Was a depressing experience. No windows, old furniture, uncomfortable broken bed. Drafty, not worth the high price tag at all considering the location. I don't recommend this to anyone. Super disappointed.

"Non smokers beware"

If you have allergies or asthma and you cannot be around smokers, do not stay here. We stayed in a pet friendly, non-smoking room and it reeked of cigarette smoke odor and there were burns in the tub and stains on the vent. There were coffee stains on the wall behind the desk and the baseboards were not clean at all. The TV remote was under the bed and there was nothing but filth under the bed. Old cups, toys and mess. The heat was running full blast in the bathroom and when my husband went to turn it off, there was a toy stuck in it! Major fire hazard! The room was not very clean at all and because of the smoke scent and asthma, I could barely breathe, chest was tight and sleep was impossible. Oh yes, and the beds. Worst bed I think I've ever slept on in a brand name hotel. Wow. We don't expect top of the line anything but this stay was incredibly disappointing. We were booked for two nights but had to leave after the first night and cut our holiday stay with family short because of this.

"I like it more every time"

For a cheap little motel, I like this place more every time I stay here (I think this is the third time). The bathroom is actually cute, the pillows are adequate, there are electrical outlets near the beds (some older places don't have this), the pool is really very warm, the "warm tub" is cool enough for kids (actually, it's cooler than the pool), and the dolphins are cheerfully encouraging me to relax. Oh the bathrooms at the pool have saunas inside so you can get dressed where it's warm.

"We like to stay here"

We like this hotel and will continue to stay here when visiting Bordentown, but would like to have a better response to repair request. The breakfast offered less protein choice than other BW we visit. We still like the motel and did appreciate the handicap access.

"clean but outdated"

Our room was clean but outdated. The beds were very soft and "bouncy"...almost felt like a waterbed. The kids enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was pretty standard for free breakfasts. The picture shows it, but note that the rooms have doors to the outside. Staff was friendly and helpful.

"Worth the price"

We were here almost 2 weeks. The staff was great. The room was kept very clean. The beds were wonderful. Wi-fi wasn't the best but it was good enough. Bathroom was good, shower had great water pressure and those towels, we wanted to bring them home. Breakfast...waffles, juice, stale pastry, etc. nothing special. We travel most of the year, we spend more time in hotels than at home and Best Western just hit the top of our preferred list

"Very disappointing and overpriced"

Our room was over $200 with tax. It smelled like mold, the linens were stained, the shower curtain was covered with mascara and there was lipstick on the ceiling. The staff tried to help us but did not have the power to discount the room.

the pool was nice. our room had cobwebs in the corner but the bed was comfortable and the air worked well. breakfast left much to be desired it was okay if you liked boiled eggs and waffles not much more than that

"Family fun"

The staff was very friendly. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The bed was very comfortable. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had a good stay. When my girls showed up at the pool an hour early with swim suits on and goggles in hand the staff opened the pool. They made sure they were not disappointed. I will definitely stay here next year.

"Incredible Customer Service"

My boyfriend and I had some unexpected issues with our return trip from Canada (long story short, we had to rent a car at the last minute and drive home) and were very weary travelers. We called ahead to make sure that there was a room available, as well as confirm the check out time of 11 am (it was almost 5 am at this point). The lady who greeted us couldn't have been more accommodating. I forget her name; we were so exhausted and weary by this point, but it was October 12 at 5 am. She extended our check out time to 1 pm so that we could get more sleep and gave us a discounted rate. The room wasn't the best. Our toilet was clogged instantly and the shower was kind of outdated and a little gross, but we were really only there to sleep. You could also tell that it was a smoking room, although we didn't specify that we wanted nonsmoking. The bed was incredibly comfortable with nice fluffy pillows. It was also surprisingly spacious for an hotel room also. I was very satisfied with our stay and would stay here again.

Always my first choice for hotel stays, the Bordentown Best Western was our first choice enroute south from NJ to Baltimore. We could have stayed in the Flemington area but the cost for Hampton Inn was nearly twice that of BW. A very good value indeed.

Stayed here for a soccer tournament with a group of families. The hotel is not a 5 star Hotel, but the customer service was way beyond a 5 star hotel. Dawn And John at this hotel made our stay fun and stress free. They are incredible! Thank you for everything.

"Cleanliness is Poor"

I checked into my room to find out there were black hairs in both queen beds. I then called the front desk asking if they could switch my rooms they did so but the card to get in stopped working the next day. I had to get it fixed 3 times throughout the day to get back into my room. I was so put off by the hairs in my new room slept on the bath towels.

"Reduced value"

Price was high, staff was weak and room could have been cleaner. The only hotel I stayed at in the last 5 years that did not offer cooked eggs for breakfast. When there was no remote for the TV the TV the staff delivered it "when they had time" which was about 15 minutes at about midnight. The directions to the the room which was in a remote building were in complete and took awhile to figure it out. The next time I am in the area I will try a different hotel.

My second night of staying employees open door announced around 9 to 10 pm with cops. Employee and police reason for entering without a warrant was a noise complaint but when they entered I was in bed about to go to sleep so there was no noises being made. Stink bugs and spiders everywhere. I bleiece a cat was in the bathroom ceiling. Charged me extra fees I did not agree too. Overall did not feel safe there. The left my own memory foam pillow with a design sheet over it (easily to realize it was not theirs and was left by accident) at the hotel. I called the next day to try to retrieve it and receptionist said housekeeping did not report anything.,,,

If you want to use a hair dryer at this motel, bring your own. The wall mounted one provided is not near a mirror nor does it extend to one. They do provide a good number of outlets for yours, though, and they do have 2 nice big mirrors. Also, if anyone in your party is sensitive to odors, make another choice. The guest room had a very sweet perfume-y smell that I know my sister could not have handled. Fortunately she wasn't with us and my husband and I managed it.

"Good value, a little run down"

Older facility, well kept up. If things are missing, or not up to snuff, call the staff. They made things right quickly. Wifi goes out, call the 1-800 number to fix it. Very unique curved pool. Breakfast very good, and has a large breakfast room. Larger than average for Best Western. Front desk doesn't offer Elite Awards members the usual amenity. You have to ask for it.

Very clean, all the amenities. Large rooms, two sinks, small coffee pot, microwave and small fridge. Biggest issue was not even basic cable channels available, so if that's important to you, think twice before booking, because you WILL be bored silly.

Fell below expectation. Rooms were tiny and smelled of cigarets. Poor breakfast options. Tiny beds that were suppose to be queen size but were actually. Not family friendly. Checkin took forever. Definitely not what i'm use to at other Best Western.

This hotel is in a very nice location and the staff are great. I would recommend this hotel if you are traveling to Bordentown, Trenton or any of the cities nearby. Very quiet and peaceful and easy access to surrounding areas.

I stay at this Best Western every time I go New Jersey. After staying at nearly all the local motels over the last 18 years I can say that this is the Best Choice. Having stayed only one night, Im no expert on the hotel, Never the less, I found this hotel lacked character, personality, and did NOTHING to go out of their way to be sure I'd choose them again for my future needs. Sadly, I recommended the place to my niece who stayed with you on August 10th. This was before I realized how drab the place was. The front desk girl seemed high every time I spoke to her, the rooms were so very dated in decor with absolutely nothing about them saying "welcome", the mattress left my poor niece who has back problems, in SO much pain waking up...the cleaning that was done before arrival left ALOT to be desired- and if it's nice out, too bad, only option is indoor pool that killed your sinuses causing a stinging headache from all of the chlorine- maybe that was what front desk girl was high on since the pool was behind her. If you wanted to enjoy that one indoor pool, you had to walk out to your car, drive to the front of the building, and walk to and from your car in a suit in front of the entire highway watching you But the hotel is more of a motel with its outdoor entrances and no hallways make it uncomfortable to visit anything but your room. I couldn't go back here- I refuse And my niece won't be along with anyone from our family. What a let down

Overall very impressed. Great service and family friendly. the swimming pool is very pretty but the water is not so clean. Breakfast very good just wish there could be fresh fruit. With the price we paid, this is a great deal! It's 20 minutes from Sesame Place.

Hotel décor has been updated and some of the areas repainted. The staff was helpful and attentive, and very responsive to our issue- We found a pair of underwear (not ours) in our room. They changed our room immediately and apologized The bathroom area for the pool was creepy and gross.

I would avoid this hotel at all costs. And Cost is not worth the risk of health and wellbeing! I had a situation where I had to leave my home and needed a place to stay on the weekend of the 4th of JULY! It was the only one available. I also had a small dog with me. There were no other options! Staff was wonderful but conditions and cleanliness were not visible upon arrival. IT is not until you are there that you realize WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON! AVOID!!!

The rooms were not very clean. The overwhelming Clorox smell in the entryway was terrible. One of the worst in that department I have ever stayed in. The desk clerk was very helpful and accommodating.

"So much better than expected!"

We stayed two nights - a Thursday and Friday - and we're extremely pleased with our stay! Pros: The beds. Seriously. At this price we were expecting basic (usually extremely hard) beds and that we'd be too tired from Six Flags to really notice. Not so! These beds were plush and rivaled the comfort of my bed at home! We all slept much later than we ever have at a hotel. The breakfast. Yes they had the usual pastries and coffee, but they also had a couple waffle/pancake makers, hot oatmeal with lots of toppings, yogurt, juices, and on Saturday morning they also had hot scrambled eggs and ham. They even had Nutella. Be still my heart. The staff. Everyone from the check in/out clerks to the maintenance were very kind. The pool. The inside pool was the perfect temperature and my kids had a great time. Usually not crowded at all. Cons: Room key: after one use our room keys didn't work so we had to go to the front desk and get them re-swiped. Upon check out the front desk said if they're kept near your cell phone the magnetic strips can get erased. Crickets. Not their fault but I hate bugs that jump and since we were on the first floor we found three of these evil things. Admittedly they were dead, so perhaps they had recently treated the place? Next time we visit Six Flags in NJ we are absolutely staying here. It's 20 miles from the park but those beds are worth the drive.

Excellent 9 day stay!!!! The front desk staff and service staff really care about the guests and go the extra mile... They are personable and polite. The hotel is clean and well maintained (not perfect, but very good) This hotel is in a safe area with a Wawa across the street. Daily breakfast is included... Smelled great, but not much of a breakfast guy. Fitness center was great. Families seemed to enjoy the pool.

"A convenient location"

I stayed here for five days and had a great experience. The desk personnel and management were courteous and accommodating. This is a garden-type facility with very nice rooms. There are all of the major shopping chains within minutes of the location. Don't pass up some of the excellent New Jersey diners just down the street.

Great value. Nice pool and jacuzzi. Really decent breakfast. Rooms are nice and spacious. Decent size fridge size and microwave. Centrally located so you can access the shops and restaurants nearby in Hamilton and the nightlife of Philadelphia!

This is an excellent motel! Always clean and comfortable. Staff goes above and beyond to accommodate us while we are there. Very nice variety of breakfast items. It is conveniently located close to the NJ Turnpike, gas stations, restaurants and convenience stores.

Hotel was adequate for a quick stop traveling back to NY. Places to eat were not easily available or had poor ratings. Grab something to eat before you check in. Breakfast in the morning was a good quick way to get on your way.

"Horrible"

Room was so smoky that it felt like someone was just there smoking. When asked about a new room, the clerk did not even look, just gave me a can of Febreeze. The water was brown. 5 minutes later when my wife went up there, they found a nonsmoking room with a different clerk. We were told to just let the water run. They did not mention the water issue at check in.

"Terrible from start to finish!"

To start: Upon arrival I greeted an employee behind the desk and stated my last name. She miserably pointed to a sign on the wall that read, "Check-in at 3:00," it was 12:30. Not even, a smile. Nothing. Grumpy and miserable. Most hotels would offer a courtesy and check to see if the room was available-NOT her. My pillow had someone's foundation all over it, and it wasn't from my family! Disgusting! The toilet was broken and would fill up to the rim; inoperable. When I went to the lobby to use their bathroom, I approached the desk to inform her of our toilet issue, the same woman was there-this time she did NOT even greet me! Again, she acted put-off, angry, and miserable. I never said a word! To Finish: Hotels are in the hospitality business. Your front desk employee is anything but!

New upgrades since our last stay. The rooms were very comfortable and not lacking amenities, the breakfast was excellent with numerous choices and fresh. We were visiting the area for a granddaughter's graduation and the convenience to both the school and home was within 10 miles.

This property is strategically located on a busy intersection corner. Gas station and small shops are within the surrounding area. Property is not well marked from highways however so stay on 206 South towards Bordentown. Property is super clean, safe, and has a lovely breakfast. You will not be disappointed.

This hotel is old and run down. The room itself had a musty smell the interior is dark and small. The bathroom is old and the fixtures are rusty. The grounds are littered with trash old mattresses and broken pallets. I def would not stay here again.

The hotel is close to 295 and The Jersey Turnpike, WaWa store acrossbthe street and plenty of restaurants meeting any budget near by. Good breakfest, pool. and family freindly. I would recommend this hotel for the family and business traveler

i've stayed at this best western twice in the past year, it's a small convienent location if you're just looking for a clean short trip. Theres a bar right across the street, and six flags is about a 15 minute drive. i go to six flags all the time, so i'll definitely be back at this location.

This is one of the nicest Best Western Motels we've experienced. It was clean, employees were pleasant. The breakfast buffet was the best we've had - the room was pleasant, the food was arranged so that many people could get whatever they wanted without having to wait at a single area. Hard-boiled eggs were offered instead of the often served scrambled powdered eggs.

very unprofessional staff. wrong directions to hotel. rude greeting. semen stained coverlet, dog barking outside room all night, woman wearing high heel walking upstairs on balcony all night smoking resulted in no sleep. upon check out was told manager would only give 1000 points to BW Rewards card, and no further comment on any other issues. when asked to speak to manager, was told he wasn't available.

This hotel is actually a motel, with the lobby, pool and breakfast room in a separate building and the guest rooms in the back. The room itself was OK, relatively clean (but needed a dusting), it had been renovated, but clearly was from the 1980s, if not earlier. The bed was awful: lump and very, very soft. But it was nice and quiet, even though it was close to a major highway. The front desk staff is very nice and the breakfast, while basic, was decent, too: waffles, oatmeal (already made, not the kind you make with hot water in a cup), yogurt, toast and muffins. It was fine for a one-night stay, but nothing exceptional to report.

Don't bother there are plenty of other hotels in the area at comprable prices. We checked in March 21st and March 22nd 2017,after driving from midnight all through the night and into the next day we checked in around 3 p.m. the first problem we encountered was the key card something was wrong with it it took about a dozen attempts before it finally unlock the door. We settled in the room was clean enough it was comfortable nice comfortable bed period we were very tired I took a shower and washed my hair only to find out that the hair blower didn't work. I contacted the desk the girl college eyes and said she didn't have any spare ones so we hung up I called back a few minutes later and I says this is unacceptable I've been driving from the night I am tired I just got a shower I cannot sleep with soaking wet hair she finally sent someone from maintenance over to switch out the hair blower from another room. Whoever service the room the day before left a half a roll of toilet paper maybe 10 tissues in the tissue box and two bars of soap period in the morning I approached the maid ask for more toilet paper and in her far and home she kept trying to say your room okay your room okay? I said no we were getting ready to leave for the day and had Josh call the office and explain to them that we were leaving for the day and the room was ready to be serviced now that call was placed for a reason I did not want to deal with the maid with an English barrier have her under some impression that I didn't want the room service so I call the office to make sure that they knew we wanted the room clean but the brainless one behind the desk just thought I was getting her an FYI and apparently didn't take it any further we came home late that night after 10 o'clock and again problem with a key card had to go to the office and have new keys made that wasn't the problem they still didn't work and I told her I was quite upset that the room was not serviced and we had nothing in there so she arranged to have Towson over that's fine but after watching TV and getting ready to go for the shower I realize there was no so therefore they tore the paper was very low we just needed supplies so I called her she sent some man over with a bag full of towels which I did not want I told her it was soap that I needed and toilet paper while I ask for exactly what you asked for ice is no I did not ask for towels already had to deliver it so he came back with the essentials that I needed now both girls the girl at night and then the girl who actually brought the towels and I showed her the room had not been serviced said that they would tell the manager in the morning and I was going to go complain and I was going to ask for a discount which I feel I'm entitled to after all I had continual problems with a key card I didn't have a hair dryer and I had to wait and sit around tired as I was with wet hair and then my room wasn't service that we had no soap and toilet paper and Kleenex or supplies and I think I am entitled to a discount but they took this problem to the manager and I feel that the onus was on her to get back to me and she showed absolutely no concern all she can do is stand out in the parking lot smoking cigarettes so I feel you know what I will just go ahead and complain to the main company

Often the room keys may lose programming when they come in contact with cell phones and or static electricity. The only remedy is to program them once again and/or issue you a new key. Management was unaware of the need for any further actions as your needs were met and your inconveniences were mitigated. Unimpressive. It's been a week since I stayed at this hotel and the experience was less than memorable. As I recall, everything was just "okay;" nothing special. Breakfast was a little disappointing in that, except for the ubiquitous waffle irons, there were NO hot items available. I also felt that the price charged was too hight for what was offered. The property was undergoing renovations so the dust and debris didn't help and I wasn't particularly comfortable with the lighting in the rear parking lot; I worried that my vehicle might not be safe there overnight. Would I recommend the hotel to a friend? Maybe. But, there are alternatives readily available so I would probably suggest they investigate those first.

Went down with me my boyfriend and his daughter for a family trip and to use the inside pool since it's cold out and woke up ate breakfast went back to our room to get all our stuff and pack it in the car put our bathing suits on and the lady at the front desk told us we were not aloud to use the pool because it was ALMOST checkout time now his daughter was in her bathing suit all ready to go even had goggles on and she took them off and started to cry the lady did not care in my opinion they treated us poorly and made a 6 years hysterical cry not so kid friendly! Definitely won't be going back there

We were recently in a wedding nearby, and needed a pet-friendly hotel. The hotel itself is easily accessible and the staff is great. They let us check in early to accommodate our schedule for the wedding, and were always very nice and helpful on the phone. Our room was clean, and it served our purpose perfectly. It was perfect for our one night stay.

told the person giving reservation too, that I was going to be checking in late and asked about the pool etc.. never told me we couldn't use after the time etc.. just really unfriendly and upset me since I was bringing my uncle that was 66 years old that has never been away from NY, never has been on vacation, never saw the ocean, and was so excited to use the pool and Jacuzzi and was never able to use it.... he was pretty well upset and discouraged.... I wanted to ring someones neck to be honest!!!!!

Picked this hotel as a stop between Great Wolf Lodge and Six Flags New Jersey. The hotel was obviously updating as construction equipment was all around. There was a hole in the wall that we noticed upon our arrival at 11pm but at that point were too exhausted to complain. We checked out before 8am. We were charged a $50 fee for the hole that was there when we arrived. I had the following afternoon sent them an email complaining about the hole in the wall and the exposed wires under the AC unit. I spoke to Stephanie, assistant manager and Dawn who were no help and argued about the damage and lied saying I had left my children alone in the room, because every parent leaves their 12, 8 and 1 year old alone while there are drunk people arguing and banging on doors outside while it's the middle of the night. Charge were never reversed. I highly suggest that if you are looking for somewhere to stay you look elsewhere or else you may have a similar experience.

Rooms are in desperate need of paint job, curtains were filthy. Gave me the creeps, but breakfast and pool made up for it. Pool was warm and relaxing and breakfast had a lot of variety and fresh items. Also staff was friendly and welcoming

"Just what we needed"

The front desk was friendly and helpful. The stay was comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic and the indoor pool is always fun. There is also a Wawa right next door. We stay here every time we go to Sesame Place, which is 15 minutes away. We have stayed here on 4 separate visits, and each time was great.

I stayed one night at this hotel, with my two teenage sons and teenage daughter. The room was comfortable, clean, and well kept. The next morning we had continental breakfast, and swam in the indoor pool and tried the whirlpool. Both were luke warm. We would of enjoyed the pool/whirlpool more if they were heated, We stayed at this hotel, since it was only 12 miles away from Great Adventure Amusement park.

"2nd stay at this hotel- great value"

We happened to stay in this area two years in a row on our way to NC. The motel is standard fare in the rooms- beds are pretty comfy, with a separate sink area both inside the bathroom and outside in the room which was helpful with kids! The security lock on the door was broken which was not ideal. The pool is indoor and good for kids. The breakfast is good, not usualy busy which is a plus. MYO waffles and pancakes (never seen that before! cool!) and delicious oatmeal along with hardboiled eggs, pastries, and cereal. VERY nice desk staff and clean overall. We would stay here again!

The Lady who checked us in was very helpful. She even told us, that we have enough points for a free night. Not any of the other Best Western receptionists did this, even they have seen, that we have enough points. Thank you to this receptionist. Location is convenient. Everything else was fine also.

"Old / awful facilities"

This is a very old hotel. The layout and facilities are awful. If it were not for the helpful staff, this would have been completely awful. I can't believe I paid that same amount to stay here as a newer/nicer hotel. The place should be torn down and built new. It is well past it's time.

"Family trip to Six Flags"

Took my nephews for a Six Flags Great Adventure. Hotel is about 15-20 mins from park. On arrival, assigned room wasn't cleaned. Desk apologized & immediately provided another which was perfect. (Hotel is U shaped, and highest numbered rooms are near busy street.) Room quite satisfactory for our needs. A/C worked well.

"Perfectly Adequate"

There are such mixed reviews of this hotel, so we were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. Yes, it's a budget hotel (and the price didn't reflect that, but the area is expensive), and yes, it's an older style hotel but the beds were sensational, the pillows were great and the staff were super friendly and helpful. You will welcomed well here. The hair dryer in our room only blew cold air and there was no room safe, which is why I couldn't give it full marks but everything else was fine for overnight comfort. The wifi is free and so is breakfast. There is also a pool and laundry facilities. With a few eating places nearby and the Highway right there, it's a convenient location too. We would stay again.

"They forgot to Maintain their buildings"

The whirlpool/Jacuzzi had nine jet but only one slightly worked Lots of rusted railing stairs ect Large chip in tub someone tried to repair but it was still rusted. Room was overpriced since the Ramada across the street was thirty dollars cheaper. We choose this one for the hot tub and indoor pool which was poor at best.

Had a very pleasant stay in this Best Western. We have stayed here before and had great service so we use Best Western all the time now. We traveled cross country to Arizona this past year and stayed at Best Westerns all across the country. They were all very nice hotels.l

The room was exactly as advertised. The price was reasonable.The animal smell in the room was awful. The staff at the front desk was warm and welcoming. If they can get rid of the pet smells this hotel would be great.

The palace is old but well maintain, the front desk staff was very friendly and pleasant will all our request. The room are small but comfortable with two sink, Micro/Ref and they have a small pool but good for family to have fun! The stairs need to be upgraded to go on second floor. Small and clean for family!

Polite staff, the rooms are nice and clean and I stay here every time I visit home(NJ). The price is great for what is offered....the king bed was surprisingly comfy and the shower was nice and hot. I was given a room on the more empty side of the hotel, which means I had an incredible amount of peace and quiet, sans the highway noises. But the big fan/ac/heat unit drowned out the majority of street noise for me. Check out was quick and easy, as was leaving the housekeeper a tip. The person definitely cared about having the room clean before I checked in. If you don't want to spend a lot of money on hotel digs, I would suggest here.

i came for Friday-Monday as a 'relaxing-get-away' and to 'see-other-sights'... i mainly stay at BEST WESTERN hotels throughout my travels...BEST WESTERN is my primary choice of hotel stays....the room was more than i expected...the jacuzzi was awesome...the swimming pool was nice and 'heated'... unfortunately i only had a chance to visit it once during my stay as i was kept busy with other travels during my stay... i would definitely book this location again

Overall the stay over night was ok for the price. The room was clean but smelled like smoke for a nonsmoking room! It was a little noisy outside in the morning making it difficult to sleep in. If you don't mind those things then this hotel will do fine r the price!

Either need to reduce the price a lot or do an extensive renovation. We stay exclusively in BW and most of the time the hotels are less expensive and better quality than this. This hotel is old and tired. The room furnishings have been updated, the bed is comfortable but our bathroom needed renovating. Turned on the heat and an odd smell came out, it was too noisy anyway so turned it off. The smell of chlorine from the pool while eating breakfast is overwhelming and kind of gross actually. It permeates the whole area including reception.

During the spring, some of our guest may turn on our HVAC units for the first time in the AC mode due to a "Fickled" mother nature giving us a Hotter then predicted day, causing an odor when the HVAC goes from Heat to AC and vice-versa. The breakfast menu has been improved to include not only a waffle/pancake station but also an oatmeal station, as well. The hotel also provides hot meals, well above industry and brand standard, on certain days. These hot meals include scrambled eggs, corned beef hash and/or sausage with cheese omelets. We have the only indoor pool in the area, and in rare instances, due to high use we inherently experience an inordinate amount of chlorine in the area. "Not up to Best Western standards"

We stayed here one night on our way home from VA to MA...what a mistake. The lobby was nice and the girl that checked us in was very nice. We were in Rm 305...a smoking room which is what we wanted. When I asked where the elevator was, I was told "No elevators...just stairs". Having MS, I was a little hesitant but no choice. The stairs were, to say the least, scary! They are totally rusted and looked like they could fall apart at any time. The room was small...2 queen beds. There were stains on the bathroom ceilings and walls. There were no ashtrays so I called the front desk and asked for 1. I was told "We are out of ashtrays...they are on order...just use a cup". The beds were very soft and uncomfortable...neither of us slept well at all. We did not go to the breakfast...we just wanted to get on the road. We almost always stay at Best Westerns when traveling but this is one that we will not stay at again.

This is not a destination hotel by any stretch of the imagination, but it is a good location in terms of proximity to the highway for travel. Room was small but clean, and the bathroom was tiny with inadequate lighting. Best part of the hotel was the continental breakfast.

"OK for an Overnight Stay"

We called ahead to ensure the indoor pool was up and operational and had an amiable discussion with the receptionist. Were able to get a discounted rate, which did not show up on multiple search engines. The night and daytime staff were warm and friendly. The rooms (stayed in 228) were a bit worn and there were cracks in the bathtub, along with a somewhat loose bathroom wall outlet. The door needed to be slammed to ensure it was locked. The complimentary breakfast did not serve hot items (aside from waffles/pancakes from self-serve maker); however, it was well stocked and the foods offered were fresh. The juice machine was out of order. A Wi-Fi password was issued at check-in, but we did not attempt access. There were two computer stations in the lobby. The indoor pool & whirlpool were clean and the water warm; however, there were several areas where water was dripping from the roof & door areas (the outside temp was in the teens). The one inconvenient drawback was the lobby, pool, and breakfast areas were in a building separate from the lodging rooms. This meant that you had to either change clothes in the bathroom after using the pool or wrap up and walk back to your room, which was inconvenient in freezing/inclement weather. The location made it a little tricky to get to due to the lack of nearby U-turn areas. It was OK for an overnight stay.

Many jokes have been made about the lack of U-turns in the state of New Jersey but next to the hotel there are at least three u-turns which is more than most. I always try to book with the Best Western in Bordentown when I have to be in NJ for many reasons. I have to be in NJ on an average of one weekend a month and try to always stay there. The Room is always clean, the manager Dawn is always accomdating, all of the staff is friendly and many options for breakfast. Great place to stay. "One of the better places in Bordentown"

I've stayed at The Best Western at least 3 times. When I've lost power or had work done on the apt I have stayed here. Yes, it's dated and probably could use a total overhaul to make it modern. This is only one of about 5-6 motels located directly off the Turnpike in Bordentown. The majority of people who stay at these places are truckers. The room was clean, smelled ok and the bed was ok. There is free WiFi access which was pretty fast. When I was there there was also a washer and dryer. The rooms are adequate for a 1 night stay. It's not luxurious. I had my parents stay across the street in another motel. That place had a dead cockroach in the bathroom, reeked of smoke and was filthy. There are a couple of higher end places off of 206. Or if you want a more modern facility with more ammedities, there are relatively new places off of 95s in Ewing or travel to Princeton. This is by far one of the better places in Bordentown.

"Poor Quality"

The check in process was bad, we arrived at check in and was told rooms were not available. We came back 6 hours later and had to wait in lobby for over 20 minutes because no one was at the front desk. When someone came he had no shirt on and said he was the only one working. The breakfast food was not good and very poor quality. The one thing is bed was comfortable. From the outside the hotel is old and dingy looking. The rooms appeared to have some updating done but needed more. The room appeared clean but I was not sure based on the hotels lack of attention to the guest. I will not stay here again. I was with a group and we wanted to all stay together, but going forward I will not compromise the quality I expect. For the price in that area it was only $15 less than Hampton, it was not worth to save $15.

At that time we did not have rooms ready, the front desk clerk advised you to come back at check in time. You returned after 7:30 pm and there were several emergencies being dealt with by the front desk clerk. He advised that he was trying to do the best he could under the circumstances. Close to 175 weekly, one night stays, over the last 3 plus years. Have never had a problem. Dawn and the entire staff do an outstanding job. Look forward to staying weekly as long as I travel in the Jersey area. I stay Best Western 100-105 nights a year in New Jersey and continue to do so.

"'Tween birthday party"

We rented two rooms for a sleepover and one room for adults and my daughter and her friends got the other two! We had a blast! Swam in the indoor pool, had pizza's delivered! Great time had by all. Staff was extremely helpful and rooms were clean and well supplied with towels.

"Best Tip I Can Provide - Don't Stay Here!"

The service, upon checking in, from Ben was the highlight of the stay. Everything else went downhill. That said...the bathroom looked clean. The shower tiles were cracked, the fabric on shower curtain was torn...in multiple places. There was dirt, stuff on the carpeting all around the baseboard area. Everywhere, it had not been handled. The bed was horrendous. It felt like I was sleeping on a cement box. I slept in it one night. I was so exhausted after driving 500 miles, I just needed to rest. My hip was dislocated from how hard it was. Seriously dislocated. For the next night, I bought a high air mattress just so I could sleep and hopefully not damage my hip any further. The bed was good. The wall shaking from the banging next door...not so good. On my check out day, I began packing my car very early in the morning, before sunrise. The parking lot was kind of dark in the back. Definitely not well-lit. As I was taking items out to my car, I twisted my ankle between the sidewalk and parking lot. Trip to the emergency room with a fractured ankle now in an air cast with crutches. Had the lighting been better, I would have seen the dip in the pavement. I left items in the room. I went to the emergency room to get my ankle handled. The hotel decided to charge me for another night. They charged my credit card for a full night that I wasn't even registered for. This is credit card fraud. My card company has been notified. Needless to say, the stay at this hotel was a complete disaster. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you look elsewhere because this hotel has nothing good to offer to exhausted travelers looking for a great hotel. Don't bother staying here.

We are sorry to hear you did not have a good stay and feel even worse to hear you had an accident. Reviews in social media can be extremely helpful and sometimes they can be skewed and their results can be distorted due to predisposed biases. With that in mind and keeping everything grounded. Investigation in to your stay reveals that at no time during your time with us did you inform the front desk of any bed issue or twisted ankle. Accommodations would have been made or changed to alleviate your discomfort. As far as your bed, guest have stayed before and after you in the same room without incident and information on the bed comfort were in fact contrary to your opinion. With regard to the lighting in the back, we didn't notice any area where darkness could have been a factor, as it is well lit. Again, if you would have called the front desk at the time of the said accident we could have reacted instantly. As you noted Ben, who works the front desk, would have been more then happy to assist. On the 8th of November, the front desk staff and house keeping tried to locate you by phone to ascertain your intentions as your personal belongings were still in the room. Numerous attempts were made to call you on the cell phone you gave us. The General Manager was informed and a decision was made to keep you in the room, due to all the belongings that were kept in the room. Please call the hotel for disposition instructions. The general manager tried to convey this information to you and you hung up. This review was written and posted after the phone call with the general manager regarding your credit card charge. This communication, via this review, is the last we have heard from you while we maintain your belongings in earnest. Best Regards, Management

"Needs a Facelift"

The rooms are dirty and the beds are worn out. Time to update the rooms and make them fresh again. Never tried the food after seeing the rooms. I was let down as a Diamond member. This property reminded me of a hotel with a number in the name. It sucked.

"Good value for the money "

Great staff, Hanna at the front desk was friendly and helpful with where to eat or in our case where to get take out from. Breakfast was good and fresh. Coffee was decent. Pool was relaxing and clean . Only drawback was having to go out in the cold to get back to our room. Rooms were up to date and clean. Food within walking distance. Off major highways . Very happy will return next time I'm in the area .

Everything about this stay was amazing. Alyssa I hope I spelled it correctly was super helpful and very sweet. She made sure had a smile and answered our questions about local stores quickly and even have us directions. The room was clean as always And the beds were amazingly comfortable. And let me tell you those blueberry muffins were to die for. Lol Thank you so much for making yet another stay fantastic. Keep up the great work everyone.

Conveniently off of NJTP. Easy to get back on NJTP. Close to, and easy drive to Six Flags Great Adventure. Nice hotel. A little more attention could have been paid to cleaning room. Complementary breakfast could have been a little better. Overall, good hotel experience and a fair price.

It was clean and the staff friendly though it seemed they were a little disorganized on occasion. The bed was very good which is highly important to me. The breakfasts were good but would have liked bananas available for cereal. It was a very good experience for the money spent.

I stayed here October 9-10-11 of this year. The motel is well kept and the room we had was very clean. Had a small coffee pot in the room and comfortable beds. Plenty of parking and friendly employees. The breakfast included scrambled eggs, pork roll, and a make your own Belgium waffle maker! It was great.

"Decent Hotel"

Decent hotel with nice breakfast. They have a pretty decent looking indoor swimming pool, in which I did not not use on this trip. I would stay there again. The only issue I had was with the bathroom lighting, it didn't come on fully until about 30 min after I first flipped the switch on. The bed, which was King was super comfy, nice variety of pillows. Overall a decent for a standard, no frills hotel

The staff tried hard, but the physical layout of the hotel was creepy and did not give us a feeling of security. Hotel was ok for a one night stop over. The facility was old could use some substantial updating. Whirpool was a "cold whirlpool" something i had not heard of and this certainly added to my dissappointment.

its not a place adults anymore,its mostly for familys with lound dogs that bark all night,and no sex they put you in the room were children can hear you,and the beds are head to head so making love os out because you have someone banging the walls saying hey we have children in here,i ask for a room with no children next door,and what they do put me right in the middle,so I hate the place food is old,eggs are fake,no meat.nothing is fresh.

Traveling from Maine to Fl..we always looked for Best Western signs from the highway as they were always easy on and off...always assured that if there was not availability they would check the next closest accomadations and make the necessary reservations

Everything except the TV reception was outstanding. Personnel were the best that they could possibly be. Facilities were top notch. Even the other guests that we met were happy and friendly. We loved the breakfast and my wife loved the pool.
